Talking with T-Bird: Aubry Bracco

In this episode of “Talking with T-Bird,” Rob and T-Bird welcome Survivor: Kaoh Rong, Game Changers, and Edge of Extinction castaway, Aubry Bracco!

[00:00:03] If you stay here less sad, Your life will never be the same Cause we're talking with T-Bird now This T-Bird you cannot change Oh, this T-Bird you cannot change And things might get pretty strange Hey everybody what's going on? Rob Cesternino back here for Talking With T-Bird

[00:00:50] And we are back here with the woman who tracks down all the survivors We got a good one for you today Here is T-Bird Cooper, T-Bird how are you? Hi Rob, I'm good, yes we have a great one today A three time player Aubry Bracco joins us

[00:01:09] And Aubry Bracco it's been a minute since we saw her on Survivor She played seasons 32, 34 and 38 How about that? A definite fan favorite for sure And now it's been since believe it or not like it's now how many

[00:01:31] It's been a minute since she first played I think her first season was in 2016 so boy time flies Yeah, she was I think she was 28 or 29 when she played So she's 38 now In the span since we've last seen and longer than that because of COVID

[00:01:52] That we have not had a season with Aubry and then we had three seasons Remember when they used to bring players back on Survivor and now they never do it Well, yeah they are for season 50

[00:02:04] T-Bird what have you been up to? It's been a couple of minutes since our last podcast that we did with Nick Brown Yeah, Summer Flying which is usually really busy for us at the Delta Summer Flying or Summer is Flying

[00:02:19] Summer Flying working, working because this is our busy season So flying and then trying to get some of these great people for talking with T-Bird Yes, okay. Alright well if you have suggestions for T-Bird she's always listening

[00:02:36] She's at T-Bird Cooper on Twitter on is the same on Instagram Yes, at T-Bird Cooper Instagram Yes, give me your, you know I do have people get me suggestions and trying to help me find people too

[00:02:49] Have you got this address? Have you got this phone number? So yeah, I welcome those two Yes, okay and how's your grandbaby Johnny Lynn is great. Thank you for asking. She's she just turned a month old Okay, wow Happens fast, they grow up fast, bro

[00:03:06] Happens fast, alright well let's go ahead When we have time and when we have time I can't wait to talk about your road trip which I sure will be a whole set of contents

[00:03:14] What do you want to know? What do you want to know about my road trip? Well, I know you were going on a road trip. I thought you were flying into New York and driving

[00:03:22] And then when you sent me that you were driving you only had so many days left I thought oh, that's price. Well, what did you learn about your what did you learn about your family? My kids fight so much T-Bird they fight over the most ridiculous

[00:03:35] It was a nice trip other than my kids just fight constantly over and over That my younger son just wants to he's very stubborn He wants to take up as much room as possible

[00:03:47] And my older son very much wants his personal space and my younger son does not respect that Alright so at the end of the road trip do you think they got closer? I mean they got physically closer but

[00:04:03] I don't know, sometimes you hear them talking in the other room and they're like you know laughing and having fun But they really just antagonize each other and they know exactly what buttons to press To really get the maximum dramatic effect out of each other

[00:04:23] So did you not in Nicole say okay we do this next year or was it like no? I mean we'll do it again next year. I mean that's all our family is back on Long Island So it's probably going to continue to be a tradition

[00:04:35] That says a lot then That's great. That's a good family thing to do Making memories Alright let's bring in a person who made a lot of memories Okay T-Bird without further ado let's bring in Aubrey Braco Our guest today began her survivor career at the age of 29

[00:04:54] The native Cambridge, Massachusetts We would first see her play on season 32 Korong where the 18 players would be divided into three tribes Brains versus brawn versus beauty This social media marketing specialist who attended Davidson University

[00:05:12] And then go on to graduate from Brown University with a BA degree in Latin American Studies Was naturally on the Brains tribe Because of the harsh conditions in Cambodia and as she said Quote getting stuck in my own head End quote she almost abandoned the game

[00:05:31] But after leading her tribe to the first two immunity challenge wins She switched into total game mode At the end of the day this lovable turkey Scorpio With the memorable dance moves proved to be a strategic course As she made her way into the final two

[00:05:50] She came in second place but not before winning And had everyone rooting for her She would refer back to this season as the one she does not want to talk about The Leonardo de Caprio and something about a dead horse from the Revenant

[00:06:08] So of course it would be no surprise that she was invited back for season 34 Survivor game changers with a cast of all-star attorneys After her loss in Korong she said she had more fire And drive on her second time on the island

[00:06:25] When her CBS bio for game changer she was asked why She thought she would win and her comment quote I should have won the first time end quote She would make it to day 37 finishing in fifth place

[00:06:40] She said her second time playing was harder than the first time She had played a season of all newbies, a season of all returnees And we would get another chance to see her on season 38 She would have extended with a cast of 14 first timers

[00:06:56] And three other returning all-star players At the end of the day she would unfortunately become a bigger target Each time she played She said quote I never give up For me as soon as it hits the rock bottom that's my favorite part

[00:07:13] Because I know it can only go up I thrive on pulling myself up from the bottom And that's what I am going to do end quote She would be immediately targeted and blindsided At the first tribal council in Idle And an extra vote in her pocket

[00:07:29] She voted out day 13 sent to edge of extension Where she would be eliminated on day 35 And become the second jury member This three time player has played from day one To day 39 with three medvacs along the way This self-described emotional thinker has said quote

[00:07:48] My pattern with survivor really high highs And really low lows end quote At the end of the day this astrology lover Would go from a super fan to a fan favorite A survivor nerd warrior princess geek With her wife marrying the love of her life

[00:08:10] Tyler to a mom to her son Odie Born August of 2023 I am excited and honored to welcome Audrey Brocko Audrey how are you? I'm great thank you Teebird My goodness you do your research Hey Audrey Hi It's so great to be here thanks for having me

[00:08:34] And for that montage I feel like I didn't remember half of that Yeah well so nice to get to catch up Audrey And I know it's been a minute since you were So much in our you know Survivor consciousness What was it?

[00:08:50] Three times in what at seven seasons I think I played three times in four calendar years It was far too much I've done that It was like going to college You've had quite a decade Yes I have

[00:09:10] I've been thinking that it was my goal to go on survivor I turned 30 I squeaked in at 29 And I've been reflecting as I'm kind of getting to the end of this decade Like wow that was the decade of survivor So it's totally wild In rapid succession no less

[00:09:29] How is life as a mom, Audrey? Oh my gosh survivor prepared me for life as a mom It's the best thing ever Odie is going to be a year in August He is a joy, such a little personality Very strong Crawling up on everything

[00:09:50] It's the best I can't imagine life before it How many kids do you have T-Bird? No you have two You have two Yeah and it's you know Of all the crazy wonderful things I've done in Aubrey

[00:10:02] I've got a feeling you're going to say the same thing in Rob It doesn't compare to kids It's just the top of the list And it just gets better It does every day you're like oh can you freeze right here And then the next day something else happens

[00:10:18] Yeah they're fun It's been wonderful A lot has happened in the past decade And then a lot happened after survivor So it's been good living life So Aubrey I read that you started watching survivor at 15 I don't even remember when I do remember the first season

[00:10:39] Yep that sounds right 15 So how many times did you apply before they discovered you And knew that we would all love you Oh my gosh I applied once I kind of was talking myself up I knew I loved survivor We'd watch every

[00:10:59] Was it Thursdays before it was Wednesdays Rob? Yeah We'd watch every Thursday as a family And someday I'll do that Someday I'll do that And I'm actually from New Hampshire originally Survivor got that wrong But it was living in Cambridge Mass When they found me

[00:11:15] And I had recently watched Kagaian And I was all these people Are wild like Trish and Spencer and Tony I got a pop and a tape So it's going to be 10 years this month I popped into tape I had a feeling that living in Cambridge

[00:11:33] Near Harvard I went to Brown My marketing head was like Oh you got glasses Pop into tape, you're a nerd And then they called me in October So I applied once I was very lucky in that way Okay so I watched your audition tape

[00:11:48] And then I saw this You introduced Ron Jeremy at the end And I'm like, Ron Jerry Who is that? I need to know who that is So I pulled him up Is he a porn star? He is, he has a questionable record Yes, yes Since that time out

[00:12:08] Can you, can we back up here Because I think I'm doing a double take Like I think many of the listeners I don't know if we ever knew this before At least I didn't That in your survivor application video You introduced Ron Jeremy I did, I did So

[00:12:29] When I applied to Survivor I had been a small town journalist So I graduated in 2008 Of course time to graduate And I started my career in newspapers So I was writing physical newspapers I realized they're going out of business And I'm writing the final edition Probably not great

[00:12:51] So I went to digital news AOL did something called Patch Which was hyper local news And I ended up getting placed in Salem, Massachusetts The witch city Like all, like Hocus Pocus was filmed I went undercover with the cops on Halloween And part of covering Salem

[00:13:09] I would get to do news on the North Shore of Massachusetts And Ron Jeremy happened to go to Beverly, Massachusetts Which is the town over from Salem And he had released a line of ROM ROM Okay Yeah, Ron to Jeremy, ROM or something

[00:13:26] And I knew that I wanted to put in a survivor tape And I was like, hey, Ron Jeremy I want to apply to Survivor Would you mind having me do this little Tape video with you and say I want to say I can survive with anyone

[00:13:41] I can even survive with Ron Jeremy And the weird thing is I had like sweatpants crocs on Yes A little video and pulled a harmonic out of his pocket Wow Yeah, so Multi-talented I guess you can say that I know he's had some not so great stuff happen

[00:13:57] Yes From a large track of him For sure Yeah That's pretty wild And they like that I think it caught their eye I did make another tape after that But they definitely were like Who's this girl dressed in corporate America I worked in an insurance company

[00:14:19] I liked to dabble This girl is corporate America Brown University astrology Ron Jeremy That peeps their interest What a mad lip Yeah, that's kind of how I like to live I like to mix it up A lot of different characters in my life always Pretty wild

[00:14:40] Have you studied No, I don't think so Heck no, have not I think I saw him when I was living in LA I made him crossing the street And was like, yo, Ron Jeremy, you're in my survivor video Thanks Yeah From my time in Los Angeles

[00:14:58] I had multiple Ron Jeremy sightings But nowadays If you see him that You are probably watching Some kind of like a date line Investigates Or you're in jail watching The closed circuit television Yes I'm not quite sure Yes I had gone to dinner with my parents one time

[00:15:20] In Los Angeles And then he was at the restaurant And then my dad Spotted him And this was a very awkward moment Was it in Hollywood? He was always around Hollywood Ron-Yan Yep Aubrey, have you still been keeping up with survivor? I would call myself a casual Casual

[00:15:45] Did you happen to watch this season? So it's funny I don't always watch every episode But I keep up with the characters I am way more interested now I like to keep kind of the space I have the space from it now

[00:16:00] I don't get too intertwined in the politics Of exactly what's going on But I am utterly fascinated by The patterns of things that happen The patterns with the cast So I kept up And I sensed that there was some Vibes with this cast

[00:16:18] That I was like, oh, this reminds me of Korong This is kind of fun They're a hot mess So I was very intrigued by the personalities Yes Did you happen to catch When you came up in this past season? That I did I was shocked

[00:16:36] I was flattered, shocked I think it's really funny that Even in fact, that's the reason why someone got voted out I think it's a bad reason As I'm sure other people shared players they liked So thank you to, I think it was Mariah Yes But also

[00:16:53] It's a silly reason to vote someone out You're a specter, you're a legacy I am like the Grim Reaper I mean my first season It was everybody that I aligned with Still Neil, Joe Del Campo, Malcolm, JT They all just went So that's kind of my...

[00:17:12] That always happens Now add Mariah to the list Or Mariah Yeah Hey Rob, since you referenced this last season So Aubrey, did you pay attention to Liz From this season? Okay So the reason I'm asking you is on your first season, Korong The first couple of days

[00:17:33] Liz, on your season Had referenced, I guess I think she said something that she thought Maybe you were having like an anxiety attack That she thought you were having like an anxiety attack That you were freaking out about freaking out Because the environment

[00:17:52] You know, you seemed to be doing okay with that Even you said that you were getting stuck in your own head So I was curious after seeing what happened to Liz This season, Liz, with her anxiety How did you feel about that after knowing

[00:18:07] What you were going through those first couple of days? So I didn't watch closely enough to spot exactly what happened with Liz But I learned a lot Survivor will bring out anything underlying you have going on Whether you're aware of it or not

[00:18:25] I didn't call what I had anxiety until that experience It's a lot You watched the show on TV I think I remember saying like, oh I'm in the TV There's the flag right there Survivor will just strip you of everything

[00:18:41] And it's so easy to get in your head I mean, these people are out to get ya So you can try to control things as much as you think you are able to And everything just kind of pops out So if Liz is someone who tends toward anxiety

[00:18:58] I feel for her because it really comes out on that island I did not see where she specifically spoke about it But she was a great character Yes, she had a lot of moments Didn't she rob? For sure Liz had a lot of moments Yeah

[00:19:13] A lot of moments Very interesting background And then turned out that she told everybody that she was very wealthy And then turned out that she was making that up Yeah, I don't know about that That's wild I because I would have been like

[00:19:29] I'm not saying anything about myself That is a wild That's fascinating Yeah Interesting Yeah Aubrey, have you been paying attention to the old Survivor rumor mill Which has been super active these days With the talk of a big returning player season Coming up in a couple of years

[00:19:53] And now you've seen it all, Aubrey You were a first time player You came back on a season full of All Stars You came back in a season of mixed returnees What's it like to be part of the mix for one of these things

[00:20:10] I would say it's a relief to have seen it all And kind of know like Can't control it That's what it's It's utter chaos There's buzz You can always tell them there's buzz in the Survivor community Because you hear from somebody you haven't heard from in a while

[00:20:27] And then all of a sudden it's like Like they all start going What is it like? It's just a frenzy Everybody's kind of like a live wire What's gonna happen It gets weird It gets weird There are a lot of pregame

[00:20:44] For instance, when T-Bird was in the mix for second chances She was pre-gaming with everybody She had nine alliances coming back for second chances Is that true, T-Bird? It might have been ten But everybody No, but everybody People were reaching out Nobody really I mean, I was secondary

[00:21:05] I think to everybody's Which you know, clearly Anyway, so You're number one to me Thank you Thank you, Aubrey So yeah, Aubrey, that's a good question What was going on with y'all with the pre-gaming For the game changers? Game changers? I've heard rumors about

[00:21:22] About people who are pre-gaming I received a couple of messages I'll speak there I definitely wanted to avoid it Because you have to understand I had a season that was on the air I didn't even know what this experience was like

[00:21:38] I believe I was called before I even saw episode one So I kind of wrote the like Nobody knows who I am Like, I didn't know what to do I didn't know what the etiquette was So I was a bit out of the loop

[00:21:49] Which hurt me and helped me Because I do think that pre-gaming Ultimately did have an impact Probably, I'm guessing However, it helped It was bad for me Because I was kind of out of the loop Sandra, I get her I don't know her She's a big question mark

[00:22:07] I remember I met you, Aubrey For the first time And then you were like Okay, and then I have to leave For Survivor tomorrow So yeah That's the first time I met you Yeah, it was such a whirlwind Yeah, I think I had like A week Not even

[00:22:23] Because there was a lot of buzz In my season after 32 And I missed like all of it I missed all of it I missed all the news It was so surreal Do you have any advice for people Who feel like they might be in the mix

[00:22:39] For this Survivor 50 That's gonna come up? Keep your mouth shut I know it's really hard for all of you But I would recommend just keeping it zipped until How to admit Rob, where do you just Skip an over this for some reason I don't know why

[00:22:55] Aubrey, because you didn't Aubrey, would you play 50 Would you go back and play again For season 50 I think it's not for I've learned that you don't say no When you're a Survivor player Because people inevitably go back on over But I am enjoying my life

[00:23:15] Among the plants with my baby But I will never say no That's today Yeah See, I would have thought That you were a no, Aubrey I felt like that after the last experience That you had and going to the edge of extinction

[00:23:28] And how hard that was on you And what a toll it took I would have thought that your Survivor itch Is completely scratched I thought you would say absolutely not Never again Like I said, I've learned You just don't say no Completely It feels scratched

[00:23:47] I mean, I really got to see I am grateful in a lot of ways In a lot of ways that I got to do Getting rapid succession The third time they called me I was like, what are you kidding me? This is a joke

[00:24:00] Like you're not calling me again And I did it and it was definitely too soon But I got the full experience So the scratch feels itched For sure But like I've said Like I said I've heard people say no And then something changes So I just

[00:24:16] I'm not gonna be black or white about it Yeah, wrong I was a competitor She I can't imagine if that call comes in That she's gonna say, no, I don't think so Okay, so let me ask you this, Aubrey So I would say probably playing with all strangers

[00:24:31] Would probably be the easiest But what for you Was it harder for you to play With all the all stars Or was it harder on you to go back and play Is only one of the four all stars That was brutal Yeah That was brutal I 34

[00:24:51] I felt like I don't know, there's a certain language that you share With people who've done it before In the first few days That's really important for those initial bonds And I felt like we kind of had that We'd all We know what it's like

[00:25:07] When you jump off the boat And you're We just know what those first few days are like And I'm just like Okay, I know what this is like Let's go And people weren't there yet And it's just easier when you're at the same Kind of pace

[00:25:20] It was just hard People knew more than I knew about me I'd been over exposed at that point That's another reason I'm like kind of like Rob Like no, like I know people are sick of seeing me And that's fine, I'm sick of seeing me

[00:25:33] It's hard when you're just one of four Big target Yeah No, that was necessarily What did you think about the other three Did you have any idea Who the other three would be When you went it before you got there I didn't have an idea

[00:25:49] I had like kind of guesses If maybe this person could But I really didn't have a clue I mean, I was really surprised When I rolled in and saw Joe I didn't know I really didn't And I also saw that you had

[00:26:07] I don't know how much weight you lost Oh, go wrong, but You lost, I think on Game Changers 15 pounds But you lost Almost 25 pounds That is confusing to me Because you were out there Basically the same amount of time Every time you play Why the extreme weight loss

[00:26:24] From Game Changers to Edge of Extinction The Edge of Extinction was real I mean, I know that people have their feelings about it You can think it's valid You can think it's not That was hard Like in order to get half of the weight You're going to lose

[00:26:40] You're going to lose It was hard Like in order to get half a cup of rice You had to climb like a 800 foot mountain That's like a sheer cliff Whatever it was There were no rewards I had like a quarter of a peanut butter

[00:26:53] And jelly sandwich the whole time I got on like day 11 It was hard There was no Food I would also say The kind of anxiety of the unknown Probably contributed to it Just so drained By the end of that I was just living there With those people

[00:27:10] That said about The whole thing Who did you bond with there? The most On Edge of Extinction Or who did you get closest with? Oh my gosh, Reem Freaking love Reem daily I'm like season 50 Put Reem on 18, 20 times Just like clone her And put her on

[00:27:31] I love her She's wonderful She's such a fantastic person She genuinely cares Kelly Wentworth I love Kelly In a lot of ways I am so grateful that Kelly and I Didn't have to play together in the game Because she's just like So real, so strategic

[00:27:49] Tells it like it is I love her Lauren was wonderful I absolutely love Lauren And of course just the other attorneys We kind of had that knowledge Of That bond in a way But I'd say Reem, Kelly, Lauren Aubrey, nobody would ever say

[00:28:08] The Edge of Extinction is not hard Do you feel like that It is something that Is a good idea for survivor? I mean Survivor's a show It has to, if you want it It has to stay on the air That's not my choice to make

[00:28:26] Do I think it's a good idea? I That would outplay outlast I always resonated the most without last And that sick part of me Who likes to like Put my foot on the gas and not let up Loves it I have no further comment

[00:28:42] About The Edge of Extinction So sick of that debate It is Go, go, knock on CBS's door I think it's good, I liked it I'm glad I ended up on The Edge of Extinction I came to peace with survivor Like it did It was like a

[00:28:58] Conclusion that kind of made sense Like a purgatory Yeah, you keep fighting You keep wanting it You're trying everything in your power And the first season I know I made mistakes But I did everything I could With the group of people I was with at the time

[00:29:11] I truly felt that Then there was all this Hoopala around it I went back I think it was the best game I played I killed myself I got to the end And there was I drew dead I couldn't do anything And it was just like

[00:29:24] I know I'm sitting here On The Edge of Extinction I'm sitting here Watching the nothingness And kind of Was at peace with it And then I became not at peace with it When I heard people's opinions So I liked The Edge personally I hate it

[00:29:39] When I have to hear about it From everybody else Aubrey, did you think that It was better Executed on the show In season 40 Did you feel like they did a better job of Like showing The Edge For the second group that did it I didn't watch season 40 Oh

[00:29:55] I won't spoil it for you No, I haven't had a chance I was That was in the pandemic, right? Yeah, the start Right Yeah, I was in the process of moving From Los Angeles to Oregon I met my partner Tyler In 2019 I was up in Oregon for work

[00:30:15] I walked onto a farm We met there And ended up having like A pandemic relationship I was like, who's that guy? And someone's like, he's from New Hampshire You gotta be kidding me So I ended up moving I like escaped LA in the pandemic

[00:30:29] And I just didn't have time For survivor I was starting my life in Oregon Rockhounding We're all in all of our house plants What's rockhounding? These are from LA These are from LA Trader Joe's in LA Rockhounding is Finding rocks In like places that have a lot of

[00:30:50] Geological volcanic activity So we would literally go out For hours at a time Finding rocks Digging rocks out with picks In Oregon, it was my whole life I have like equipment Like beyond a tumbler It's called cabochons To make cabs Which are like When you have a necklace

[00:31:10] Like even a T-bird Like the stone necklaces That are polished I like make those pieces Out of rocks I was just gonna ask you Because I see how you had When you were out on the island Every time that you were Making stuff out of everything

[00:31:24] Oh my gosh, it's so good Yeah Yes, I was just gonna ask you Are you doing something with the rocks? And you are I am Oh my gosh, I'm noticing that Yeah, that was So I didn't see 40 Because I was picking up rocks And growing plants Wow

[00:31:39] She was between a rock And a hard place Wrong There you go Dang Hold it, hold it Yeah Okay, yeah That's the second one Really adds the extra emphasis It does It does Yes Did you mix up on Africa? Were you making fun? No, I didn't make stuff

[00:32:00] I was just trying to survive Aubrey, when I was Looking at all your stuff And learning all about you I thought about Africa When you were, for me About playing from the bottom up I played from the bottom up The whole time

[00:32:15] And then I was gonna ask you this So did you, were any of your seasons Would you say you enjoyed And had a good time Because we only played once If someone says was it fun No, it wasn't fun What I would love to do it again Absolutely

[00:32:34] But not because it was fun I compare it to childbirth Or running a marathon But it's one of these things where Going on a cruise is fun It gets in you just And you just weren't right Well, okay So Aubrey, that's what I'm saying

[00:32:50] I think that you and I Are probably the same in that Would you do it again? Do you want to do it again? No, but would you do it again? Yeah, probably Just because I mean, you, like I think about the first time I played And my memories

[00:33:06] I swear like the colors And my memories are brighter It's like neon It's like, geared into your head Like Cambodia was so striking Fun, I'd say it's a hot I mean, survivors of drug You can't tell me anything else It's like the biggest high you will ever get

[00:33:26] Everyone's always trying to look forward again Which part of it is the high, Aubrey? When you play it or when it's on Or both Different for different people I believe that For me, it was always there Like I want to always play survivor Where there's no phones

[00:33:45] Like I don't want my phone back I wouldn't want that memory to exist As it was Like I have memories of like walking with Ty To the water well Talking to Joe And bonding with Joe Del Campo On the first one Just the palm trees in Cambodia

[00:34:04] There have been great things after Like I've met incredible people That's how I'm doing Like I have my own consultancy now My own business And I've met a lot of people through survivor And it's great But the whole like internet and feedback part I mean, now it's fine

[00:34:19] But I can't be prepared for that That part I don't like Or you think it's a drug for some people The external validation And that's fine That's your thing What do you think about it being 26 days now? They say, Aubrey That this is now

[00:34:35] This is they've made it as hard As it's ever been This is now harder than Yeah, Aubrey 39 days Talk to T-Bird T-Bird was in Africa Where they had to have I believe armed people around To protect them from lions I believe Ethan didn't poop for like 21 days

[00:34:54] I'm sorry You can't convince me that something psychological Doesn't happen Around day 3031 I remember I woke up and I was just crying the whole time Sorry, 39 days I'm gonna piss people off with that Well, they used to build Survivor Co-Wrong As the hardest season

[00:35:13] Because so many people had to get Evacuated from the game I mean, yeah You didn't see that How many people had disgusting infections That festered I mean, I still have a scar on my leg I'm not gonna show you right now Forget Ethan

[00:35:27] How many days did Jo-Dell Campo go without pooping? I don't remember But he ate the red meat on day Whatever, 33 and how to go out on It was too tender Oh I Hate that I still hate that I can understand why you hate that That tracks

[00:35:46] That makes a lot of sense Yeah Aubrey, who have you stayed in touch with Or who are the closest with With the seasons you played? If anyone I will once in a blue moon Reach out to Ty and Jo-Dell Campo Malcolm's my buddy

[00:36:06] Haven't talked to him in a while I know he's been living his life too Ream and Kelly Wentworth Probably And Lauren I see too Yep, the third I've met So interesting So Aubrey, I've met Ream a couple of times Down here in Atlanta She is absolutely adorable

[00:36:28] Just the way I thought she would be When I met her She's Ream Ream is Ream Right She's wonderful Alright, let me ask you about The fire building That you had with Against My mind just went like Rob jump in Sydney Sydney With Sid Sydney, yeah

[00:36:49] So Sydney's from Douglasville, Georgia Down here, Aubrey And I did get to meet her as well She's a beautiful girl When I met her I think I've seen her a couple of times She's very quiet Was she that way out on the island

[00:37:07] That she had a hoodie on I think most of the whole time we were doing some She had her head covered She's beautiful though She had a hoodie Head covered Barely talk at all Was she that quiet out When you played with her on Corong?

[00:37:23] That's what attracted me to her I think I said that What I, Corong and I felt like I didn't have preconceived notions about Survivor or certain people That's what I love the magic about The first time is you would just sit quietly I wonder if you both

[00:37:38] This resonates at all You'd sit there And you could like feel the vibes of people The energy And what attracted me to Sid is We didn't mean until after the merch She was so stable So quiet Taken it all And wasn't going around like You know, wildly scheming

[00:37:55] And that's what I liked about her That's what attracted me to I do remember reading that That is what you'd like to do Is you'd like to just watch And listen For the most And look for the most genuine The most sincere person Or people To play with

[00:38:14] So obviously that's what That works the first time It's a little harder the second and third time But Yeah, there are certain ways You connect with people Like around their opportunities Yeah, could you talk more about that Because, you know I'm so fascinated by

[00:38:27] How different people look at the game And I don't think I've really heard that before So how does that work? How does that work? Oh my gosh, I know right How do you find the genuine person In the denful of what? No, no, I'm more

[00:38:42] Yeah, I'm more interested Like what do you see What do you get from people And why is it something That only works the first time? Well, I mean I kind of take that back Because I'm thinking of another instance As soon as I say that

[00:38:57] How does that work? I mean You know in life You can sit quietly with some people And it's awkward And then other people You sit quietly with them And it's not awkward at all It's that kind of thing You just have some kind of vibe

[00:39:16] Energy, something that resonates I felt that way with I mean, I think she's the best player of all time I fangirl over Suri She got me through the end of my pregnancy On Big Brother I felt like I was in that house with her

[00:39:30] From watching her on the live feeds Oh my gosh, yes And when Izzy went home I was I was really upset I loved watching Suri Because I shared that with her And I feel it in my gut When I say that

[00:39:46] There are certain people that you just feel like You get it And how does that work? You have to find a moment In silence and survival You can be a player or stillness And you can sense who you feel good with And who you don't

[00:40:03] Do you feel that way? T-Bird at all? Well, Robin also On the flip side of that Aubrey also said She also likes to be on the prowl For the fake people Or the phony people Which are usually a little bit easier To spot pretty quickly Usually So

[00:40:22] But you mentioned about Suri And that feeling that you have And I guess that probably speaks to How well she's done in the game Oh yeah And why she was so loved by so many people She voted for me In the Which with travel

[00:40:38] I think she went out Advantage to get in? I think she voted against me I still don't know why And I don't care That's great That's fine That's big volumes So we've seen Suri Do a lot of different shows So Survivor Have you been contacted for other

[00:40:56] For other shows as well? No I'm a Survivor gal Through and through Yeah Nothing And that's That's okay I admire the people that I play with That have decided they want to play All different things And I'm like how do you keep doing this Oh my gosh

[00:41:14] I am like very impressed That you have the stamina for this Because I don't For the The internet card So since you're a Survivor girl Tina Wesson question Did you get any tattoos After Survivor For Survivor About Survivor No Do you have any? Do you have any Rob?

[00:41:33] I don't Teebert No I do not But Tina Wesson got some That's cool What are hers? Rob You remember She got them back Where you couldn't see She has them Yeah, in a place where They are not easy to see But I believe she has An alligator

[00:41:52] And I don't remember What the other one was I think she says she had three Yeah I'm not a tattoo girl But it is always fun to see how people Like Sid had cool tattoos I remember I think Sierra Dawn Might have like the coordinates

[00:42:10] From Nicaragua or something like that I don't know But it's always fun to see How they come to life for people So Aubrey, with that being said When I played with Lex Have you met Lex before? I believe I've met him You have? I'm not saying

[00:42:26] Maybe give kids a world or something I could be wrong though Sometimes it's like a mirage I don't remember who I've met Okay Well, you know what's funny I had never met you But I feel like I know you And I especially feel like it

[00:42:38] After reading about you And all the In your game playing everything But Lex is covered with tattoos So when I met him In season three I had never been around I'd never seen that in my life I'd never seen anything like that And it's funny how

[00:42:56] When you're not around certain things Lex is the most incredible Intelligent man ever But anyway, it's interesting how You know, you can see something You're not used to And you think you know what's going on Oh, I don't want to ask you So when you were asked

[00:43:13] When you went back to play On your CBS bio Why you wanted to go back If you thought you could win And you said yes Because I thought I should have won The first time So I had a conversation with Mike Holloway Here recently

[00:43:26] Now of course, Mike won his season Like, I love him Another one that fought That fought from the bottom All the way up I was rooting for him Big time So we were talking about The person that wins Is the person that should win Yes

[00:43:46] That is the deserving winner And I've always said that You know, even with my season with Ethan Who I love to pieces He played behind Lex Lex, if you're one of those That says who should have won Who deserved to win that

[00:44:04] But I always say whoever wins it Deserves to win it So how do you feel about that? I think that that's how the system is set up And whoever wins is supposed to win And I also think that jury members Are allowed to have their votes

[00:44:23] And the funny thing with the survivor community Is I literally felt like I got accosted for the opposite Like I would tell people People would tell me You didn't deserve to win The jury voted who won Yet when I voted for who I won on the third season

[00:44:41] They accosted me as a jury member for how I voted That's very interesting Oh, it's so standard It's so fun not to watch And just watch the like, yes Well, because it was a contentious jury This season in Survivor 46 There was a lot of Who should have won

[00:45:00] What did the jury do Why did the jury vote the reasons why they voted And yeah, it's interesting that You were on the receiving end Of both of the different Fervor about the jury Oh, yeah, that was totally wild Do I think I should have won?

[00:45:17] I personally, but like Yes, yes, Rob, that is wild And I also think it's wild That people even ask that question Of do you think you should have won I do think that if each of us plays Survivor We are kind of the main character

[00:45:32] Of our respective stories So like in that way I'm like Yeah, I should have won Like I felt like I did the best If you were on the jury You would have voted for you I'm sorry I would have voted for myself

[00:45:43] I mean we all would have voted for each other For ourselves It's so interesting I'll add to what Aubrey is saying I made it to the final trial of the council In Survivor the Amazon As a jury, I too would have voted for me

[00:45:58] And that's, I think that's Fair thing to say So, but I do think that Go ahead No, you go ahead, go ahead I can just say, but if we're going to like It's the whole like do you trust the Survivor system I do and in that way

[00:46:14] Fair square Everything happened as it's said Do you think a sequestered jury Would have made a difference In you winning I don't know now At one time I thought it would But I don't know with those I really am not sure with that group Because Rob knows Yeah

[00:46:43] I'm a big fan of ours Juries being sequestered Big fan of that I wish it could have happened Like I'd be so curious to know I think part of me like won't let my brain go there But I also think that group Like I

[00:46:58] I think you can draw a debt in the game But I think you can draw a debt with certain people And I think I was Drawing debt and I mean I made some decisions which I understand I take accountability for crossing out the name

[00:47:10] But I think you can draw a debt with certain people And I think by nature of the theme itself That happened to me a little bit Nothing happened to me It's just You are agent of your own fate in Survivor I don't know T-Bird

Yes. You're watching your videos

[00:48:34] I can tell he was a big fan of you So you coming back every time does not Never surprise me Every time you would win and you would run at him And you would grab him it was just such a Cool beautiful Sincere emotion that you were doing

[00:48:53] And he seemed to love it as well What is one word you would use to describe Timeless Wow He just doesn't he just keeps going He's timeless Do you think he can be replaced at any time in the future No, that anybody could step into his shoes

[00:49:17] No, but if it was Suri I wouldn't be upset I think did somebody tell us that before Did somebody say Suri It seems like I've heard that idea before yeah I don't know if it was specifically on this podcast I think people have said that

[00:49:36] Yeah, I think I've heard that as well Yeah, like I said just The way you embraced him and every time it was just Oh those are some great memories Do you think he can be replaced I think Jeff Probst is amazing

[00:49:53] I think it would change the dynamics around It wouldn't be Jeff Probst Definitely I've always said, you know, I could see Rob Steppenian I could see Rick Devons Steppenian Speaking of Rick Devons Who's a Georgia boy down here Aubrey He is

[00:50:15] You spent some time with him on Edge of Extinction I did Not too much time I married him in Chris that's what I did You did what I married him in Chris we had an Edge of Extinction Beach wedding Wow I think I knew about that

[00:50:34] Yeah, yes T-Bird Play that little special thing we've got there That one special thing we've got there Alright Here is somebody that you may recognize Okay Alright, here is A little clip from a man you once married Hey what's happening T-Bird Rob Aubrey

[00:50:57] I'm so glad to connect with you guys I'm on a beach vacation with my family this week But when T-Bird reached out and said Do you have something you want to say about Aubrey I said absolutely Let me take some time to tell you about Aubrey

[00:51:09] Because first of all When I lost fire making and ended up at Bonderosa Aubrey was a good friend to me She wasn't up in my business but she was always checking on me Seeing that I was okay mentally, emotionally And she really set me up for success

[00:51:24] In terms of telling me what to expect When the season aired And I will always appreciate her for that But what I want to share is about our time on edge of extinction And what she did for me and all of us there

[00:51:37] Because you saw on the show Our big man Chris Underwood And I think later in edge when I wasn't there Eric Haifman, some of these big dudes They showed coming back with their Hawaiian spear Full of fish And I'm grateful for that

[00:51:51] Because Underwood did catch us some fish And he shared with all of us which he didn't have to But they were not, you know, the fish weren't real meaty It doesn't go that long of a way We're still very hungry

[00:52:03] There's more fish stuck on the pan half the time Than you're eating Well Aubrey had this uncanny ability And, you know, she worked at it To go out in the ocean and find these conch shells That are like concreted to the ground The ocean floor

[00:52:20] And then they'd bring them work like hell To break them off the floor Then bring them back to us And I'm telling you right now Those were the meatiest things Every time it was like reward With all the fixings including clam juice Which we daily regretted drinking

[00:52:38] Maybe Aubrey can tell you about that But I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt That during my time on the edge of extinction Aubrey was by far The biggest provider And it was so appreciated

[00:52:51] I would have gone back in the game with half the energy If not for the great Aubrey So Aubrey, thank you Wow Fuck yeah Thank Rick Thank you Rick I busted my, yeah I did have some rage I was like oh my god the alpha man

[00:53:09] Like I got along with those guys And I was like oh I know You caught fish, here's your glory shot And I did work my butt off Thank you Rick Yeah Rick as always I don't really keep in touch with Rick But it was very nice of him

[00:53:27] And it is nice to hear that I remember being so frustrated That makes my heart, thank you Rick That as much as I couldn't stand Like the entire cast in the game Like could not stand them And they know that, most of them

[00:53:44] I did care that as human beings Like that they were okay And I would always say Oh like this is gonna happen after And then I realized I was like When a parent's trying to warn their kid Like don't do this in high school

[00:53:58] Like I can't do that They have to live it themselves But Rick has told me that Some of the stuff I said like was helpful And thank you for saying that Rick Because I did genuinely care that everyone was okay And fed And if it wasn't fish from

[00:54:15] You know What was it that you brought back? Conk So they're like the big shells And they were very, I'm not gonna tell people In case they go out there again But yeah it's awesome It was like a puzzle piece in the water

[00:54:31] You had to know what to spot Because they don't look like What they look like when they're not all dirty Okay That was nice That was surprising So much energy from Rick It's like we got a cameo I know I'm really Gladdered And he was like in Survivor

[00:54:53] I know, yeah He's always looking for an idol Yeah Incredible He might be on the edge of extinction I gotta tell you that shelter's really upgraded Since I've been there I've never been working on that There was I think your edge of extinction cast There were some great

[00:55:17] A lot of great characters out there Oh yes I mean really good characters One comment that you made about your girl Vic I think you said she's sneaky awake Behind her big glasses Oh my gosh I don't remember that But you remember Vic Oh I remember her

[00:55:37] So did you think You could trust her Feel like you could trust her She was really good about Remaining low key At that part of the game And she had a decent read on I don't know I think she made a good move

[00:55:57] I think she made a good move I have nothing more to say about Vic Aubrey Have you ever given any thought about your legacy To the show Because I feel like you came in You made such a big impact in such a short amount of time My legacy

[00:56:20] I kinda laugh at it now Cause I mean my legacy on Survivor I care about my legacy for my kid And my plants before me My legacy I Because I think that you certainly did have an impact I appreciate that I I would hope That it's

[00:56:42] The people that knew me Knew that I did genuinely Connect with them And care about the program It's kinda like the more one on one stuff That matters more to me Cause the thing is legacy wise That's the most hard For me still

[00:57:00] People say I had no social game I made really deep connections And that was my downfall some of the time I don't know I have a legacy It's whatever the internet says They have opposite things to say about me all the time I'm not even around

[00:57:18] I could literally be dead and you'd still be Telling me who I am I can't even think about it Rob Cause I've heard everything That's cool I guess what I would say Is in terms of not even specifically About what you accomplished

[00:57:34] But I think that what you did I think was that you were Sort of like the first of a new Archetype That you were And I don't really think we had an Aubrey before you Of a woman who could Come along and be smart

[00:57:52] And funny but also very strong In the challenges And I think that's why they got hooked On you so much In a short amount of time That so many people saw themselves in you Yeah I still don't know how to I was just being me I'm like

[00:58:12] People see something And I'm not quite what I think I am And I don't quit I'm relentless I think that's one of my three adjectives I see it in my son He doesn't stop That's just me I'm like Oh my gosh she seems really funny I don't know

[00:58:34] It's very cool that you say that But I'm I mean it is kind of It's cool I don't know what to say Alright so Aubrey and Rob To both of y'all There's been so many seasons And now we don't even have names for seasons

[00:58:52] We just have no verses And I can't tell you A lot of the winners I can But I can tell you The characters That touched me And that affected me And that I fell in love with And that would be a siree That would be an Aubrey

[00:59:12] That would be a Rob And it's people when you ask her What her legend, what she wants it to be That you'll remember People won't remember Who won Edge of Extinction A lot of people They won't remember that But they'll remember the characters that have played

[00:59:30] That touched them And you're up there And now that you're a mom That's a big thing That's cool Like the human part of it If people remember me and remember One thing I said or that It made them feel like Like siree says get off the couch

[00:59:50] Or have anxiety in play And I'm not sure if that's the right word But it's a lot to me That's very cool It is very cool I'm not trying to be like So cool You know, I know you said You're bond with your sister, Carrie She was stronger

[01:00:12] But she did survive her She was the athletic one And you were the nerdy one Has it stayed strong? Yeah, probably I was going to be three this year And she had a little boy three months before I did So they're three months apart And it's great

[01:00:30] So it's nice to be back on So I moved from Oregon To New Hampshire My dad had a heart transplant in 2022 So I moved back to be closer to family And so stronger than ever So glad that we had That time together

[01:00:48] On the island and it's only carried over So how old is your dad? Is he doing okay? He is unbelievable He was in the hospital For more than 100 days He had like seven surgeries Shout out to Mass General Hospital Give your nurses free parking

[01:01:06] Which I don't believe they get They were fantastic Unbelievable experience It puts it all on perspective Which is another reason why I don't really have time to watch every episode Yeah So how old is your dad? He is 69 Aubrey, you talked about The work you do as a

[01:01:28] Marketer. Can you talk a little bit more about that? Sure I am a marketing consultant I call myself that What I have found Is I kind of just will slip into A range of different needs Primarily the work I do Is around helping Leaders craft their Online personalities

[01:01:50] Because so many people Don't trust brands Why would you trust a brand? You connect with people Especially in this world of AI So I help leaders craft Their marketing for themselves So I help them become subject matter Experts I help them produce videos I help them produce events

[01:02:12] And then I also do a range of brand marketing I help out I help them do television show Doing kind of real time comms I have a range Of clients from CEO coaching Client to I've worked with fashion brands So it's funny, I feel like I go in

[01:02:30] I kind of feel like survivor I had a friend who went on parental leave I slipped into his role And then I kind of snuck in there And never left Like I find my way And find a need Or I help them with a part of their brand

[01:02:46] Need to help Help them with partnerships So I have my own little marketing business I don't have full time job I do that and it's been the best move Are you able to work out Out of the house with Odie now? Yep, I'm with Odie

[01:03:02] My partner and I both do marketing So we're both home with him So how about your dance moves Have you improved on those? You had more dance moves I mean, they're Very unique Yeah, I don't even remember where they came from They were in starvation and exhaustion

[01:03:20] They're just as bad as ever They're you They're me Hey, Ron Get me that other one Oh no, what's next? Alright, how about We've got How about this one Oh, Ron Okay, here comes Ron Clark has a message Come on Come on, come on

[01:03:50] Where's my dance partner? Where you at, Aubrey? Good to see you, Rob. Good to see you, T-Bird I'm so glad that you have Aubrey on today Because she is one of the fiercest competitors ever Of Survivor and they're considering season 50

[01:04:00] She should be at the top of the list Because she truly is something spectacular We were on the edge of extinction We were all kind of like Voldemort We were half people living on that island Like about to die and there was a clue

[01:04:12] And Aubrey, she'd be lying Took off to find that clue She ran faster than Joe, faster than Chris Underwood She was lapping people Because she is just that much of a competitor She's fierce, she's brilliant And she was done wrong on season 38

[01:04:26] She deserved better, she deserved another chance I hope she's going to be on season 50 And I hope that she would say yes to do it And she's the whole reason why I wasn't even on Survivor In the first place because in my interview

[01:04:36] Jeff said if you could play with any past survivors Who would it be? And I said well Joe Anglum and Aubrey Brocco And he goes, really? Why those two? And I said well Joe because I know he would cook the food

[01:04:49] And catch the fish and build a fire And do all the things and he ended up doing all the things And I said Aubrey because not only is she a strategic mastermind Who would be great to align with

[01:04:59] But also I think she'd be somebody I'd really enjoy being around And I did, I loved her I loved you Aubrey I'm so glad they're having you on today To highlight just how amazing you are And I think when I said your name

[01:05:12] I think that's when Jeff said really And I think that might be why they eventually put me on the show Oh And so but I love you, I love you T-Bird and Rob too I hope you are having a great day Thanks for having me on Thanks Ron

[01:05:22] Oh my gosh Hey what's happening T-Bird? Yeah I see, that's the thing Watching these it makes me a little bit like 38 soft for me And I just kind of like can't even think about it It's kind of like my Watergate I guess if I were Richard Nixon

[01:05:41] But I got along with Ron I was like I wish I could have been on a tribe With Ron on an all-new season That would have been great I would have gone super far with him If it wasn't the dynamic it was That is so nice

[01:05:54] Ron's a good player too He's got a, I want to see Ron and Ty play together Yeah He might be a sneaky good call for Survivor 50 Oh hell yeah I put Ron on there I put Reem on there Of course Rick is a shoo-in right? Come on Yeah

[01:06:12] Thanks I want T-Bird on there Rob Cesternino would you play? Have you said that? I'm sure you've answered this Yeah I I have no desire to go and do it But I think it would be a hard thing to say no to

[01:06:28] But it is certainly not something I am clamoring for That's a good way to put it And I think that maybe that takes me out of the running If I'm not like dying to go do it I don't think it goes great Aubrey Maybe not Maybe?

[01:06:48] I don't know I don't know I think I would be up for some kind of adventure But I feel like that one is like Alright well let's get Like I went I had the bad experience with Survivor And I don't want to revisit that again anytime soon

[01:07:08] T-Bird you'd play right? Oh yeah Yeah T-Bird should go T-Bird you I think like you said Aubrey I think and Rob you get the call And it's something It's something and it's just kind of like What Rick was saying about you You're such a competitor

[01:07:27] What I was saying to you You're such a competitor So you get that call And all of a sudden your mind starts thinking Well maybe this and maybe this Oh yeah And Aubrey what a compliment from Ron Clark Ron I didn't know about Ron Clark

[01:07:41] He's from Atlanta here And he does a lot of amazing watch parties Aubrey I would I know it would be probably challenging for you now With OD to get away But anyway that's where I met Reem Anyway I'm not sure what a resume he had Way before Survivor

[01:07:57] So for him to say just now He thinks he got cast Because he mentioned your name I'm thinking well Ron Your resume was pretty good I'd say so I'd say that in his own right I know I'm so not comfortable Complements Ron was like on Oprah Come on

[01:08:17] Yeah Matthew Perry play him in a movie Like Ron the badass He like actually changes kids lives every day Ron He does If I ever play it again I want to play like Ron Clark Wow Okay Dan here Ron So and Aubrey so I'm just saying

[01:08:34] For Ron to say that about you For him to come out and say that He means it He means it For you to be out there And that So anyway Quite a compliment So anyway Oh Rob You know we had one more character she played with

[01:08:49] And I hope you have that third one I do have a short one Okay But it's short but I think it'll be fun to get Aubrey's Okay Reaction because she's such a character Oh Jesus She has a reaction Okay all right Here we go Here's a short clip

[01:09:07] Hello fellow Scorpio I hope you're really doing well Hey remember when Neil called me crazy cat lady Well the truth is Say hello Actually I have four parrots Love ya Hope everything's wonderful Wow what a reveal Hello fellow Scorpio Yeah Debbie has four parrots And that's just

[01:09:34] That's just like One of the 19 species Think about Debbie is like People thought she was like Wying about that That is Debbie Debbie is a Renaissance woman She is real AF Mm-hmm Yeah I mean I don't Four parrots

[01:09:52] I didn't trust her at a certain time in the game But she's real She has Boston Terriers Caretaker to none She worked at Red Lobster RIP Red Lobster Oh yeah Wow I was not expecting that Wild Aubrey I ripped it out to her

[01:10:10] She got back with me immediately She was something for you She was sitting there with the parrot Ready to go Sure she was waiting Yeah that's wild Wow Okay I don't know how you did that But Teebird is a miracle worker Yeah Teebird you're like

[01:10:29] Teebird is good at connecting people That's how she had so many pre-aim alliances For second chances Rob you're so crazy Hey okay so Aubrey let me ask you this I want to ask you two separate questions You're having a dinner party Oh You can invite four people

[01:10:46] From the people you played with Oh my god that's a new question Teebird From your dinner party Only four Malcolm Cerey Kelly Oh that fourth is hard Malcolm Cerey Kelly I don't know that's up for grabs The fourth one's up for grabs

[01:11:30] I was going to say if it's Joe Just make sure to have A vegetarian menu Aubrey I know I was thinking Joe I would have to I was telling the listeners I want Tye there Because he's going to bring something he forged That would be very dangerous

[01:11:53] That's good Alright now the next question is You're going to survive in an island Yeah Of the three times you played You can only take three people with you Oh my gosh these survived with To survive with Are they survivors or people in real life? Yeah

[01:12:10] Yeah the people she's played with Are we voting each other off Or are we just surviving You're surviving Oh Tye number one Unbelievable He would be like Oh let me just try this like Plant slash berry could be poisonous Let's see just a little nibble

[01:12:26] Tye is number one Joe Anglam knew his stuff One more to survive with Kelly Wentworth she's smart Yeah Tye seems like He was always in a great mood Is that his personality? Is that his personality? Is he just easy going? I mean he gets Like he has emotions

[01:13:03] Like if someone is not nice to him He definitely feels it Because he's a real person He's wonderful I love Tye Like I remember in casting Seeing Tye and we were like Yup Feel good with you I have like notes from seeing him He's a wonderful human

[01:13:21] Like people would say Why is he on the beauty tribe or whatever I'm like because he's the most beautiful person there He was wonderful I love him so much for him So special Special person So Sia was really all Sia was really involved with your whole group Right?

[01:13:39] Didn't she get quite a few people? She was the first time Yeah Can you talk a little bit about that? I revisited that A couple of weeks ago After Sia announced The end of the Sia Award But you were on the stage And it was the live finale

[01:13:57] And then Sia jumps up from the crowd Was that like a Harrowing couple of seconds there As Yes Because we didn't know who the hell it was She had like the I'm like are we about to get like On live TV what's happening Security check That was harrowing

[01:14:21] And then it I was happy it was Tye But I'm like damn I like came in third place now That sucks Yeah, I didn't think of it that way It's okay, it was Tye So he deserved it Yeah She only gave one award out

[01:14:36] That was the first time Okay, because I guess later Like on edge of extinction Didn't she give several? Yes She started giving several Several out She gave money to Rick She gave $100,000 to Rick And then to Aurora and to Joe Because Joe cut his hair off

[01:14:59] To donate to charity I think that was the first time she gave out multiple prizes Yeah And then this last season before last She had all the She had all these people at our house This year She did She did And then we're Yeah Marilyn

[01:15:21] I don't remember who else but yeah Yeah, it's so different now I'm like there's just like It's the celebrity The cult of celebrity Of the social media is so different now Famous people Invite you to their house After you played survivor So

[01:15:41] I feel like I blank out a lot of the time I don't remember I know But I do remember the actor who played Stan and Mad Men was like In the front row The actor who played Stan and Mad Men In Mad Men

[01:15:57] I remember seeing him in the front row And I was like, oh I love Mad Men Cool But no, I'm not a celebrity I know Pretty sure I know the answer to this You're still recognized everywhere Right? I mean you look exactly the same

[01:16:15] Well thanks, I'll take it You're 38 I am 38 Time flies And you were on 38 I'm sometimes I was Occasionally I'll be recognized in like a very weird Grocery store in the woods of New Hampshire Or the airport where you look a wreck kind of thing But

[01:16:39] Yeah, it happens once in a blue moon And it's like, oh remember when That's why I cannot believe the people that you managed to get on here It is so wild to me That those are the three people And I'm so honored

[01:16:53] It's a real rock hound of our own You are a rock hound of getting these folks And it's really cool because like you were saying with Lex That my favorite part of Survivor is still The range of people that you meet

[01:17:06] Which is why I just, I can't even watch And I watch the internet and how people all freak out over the show And for me, the best memories are still That I connected with an ex-FBI agent But I did have really nice conversations with that guy Jason

[01:17:20] Who ended up being like People were like the villain I had great connections with people Like Joe Anglam has some questionable stuff According to the internet He was always very nice to me Malcolm is wonderful Like they're all great people

[01:17:39] That's the one thing I just think about casting They just cast all these neat, neat fascinating people Like a cop Like Sarah and I always got along very well I wouldn't meet her in my normal life It's just a range of people

[01:18:01] Then Zeke is one of my favorite people ever I love him and Nico How unique this cast of characters truly are Like I feel very lucky to have met all of them Alright, I want to go back to season 50 Just one more time and ask you

[01:18:20] What would be a good theme for season 50? Because we've seen winners at war We've seen heroes versus villains We've seen a lot of What would be something good, a good theme for season 50? I mean first boots isn't going to happen But I'm just like put Rheem out there

[01:18:38] Like I said, times 20 I think 50 would be great If it's a range of folks I don't know You were talking about characters I really want to see again What about as a marketer? What would really sizzle Aubrey? Sizzle? There's got to be something with the pre-merge

[01:19:11] I mean this isn't great for marketing But the pre-merge versus Final five versus first five 5v5, something Because I think there were some great people Who went very early like Darnell from season 32 We just saw him a couple of weeks ago In Chicago I love Darnell

[01:19:31] Like I'd love to see him play again I think that's hard when you're in the first five I mean it's happened But I would love to see like a Darnell As much as I'd like to see someone who went Real close to the end

[01:19:47] So I think there's something there Alright Tiber anything else for Aubrey? Well I want to ask about astrology Are you still in astrology, Aubrey? Of course I'm a Taurus What do we get along okay? I don't know how they interact But I'm a Libra So would we 5v5

[01:20:10] Would be on the island together? You're an earth sign I do get along with Taurus as a Scorpio Rob's a Libra Rob is very social So you're an air sign I think we would be different Libra's air? Yeah you're an air sign Full of hot air maybe Maybe

[01:20:32] Maybe I think we'd use our respective strengths From the different elements To communicate It came out in the last season that Jeff Props is a Scorpio He is, I think he's November 5th Yeah You knew that? I did I think Scorpio's the only

[01:20:53] I think Ethan was the only Scorpio winner for a long time Really? It's a lot of Taurus I know Michelle Michelle is a Taurus There's a lot of Taurus in there It's very interesting when you look at some of this stuff Have you had any contact with Michelle?

[01:21:11] She just mentioned her Oh are you friends? She's been on like 100 shows since gone wrong Michelle's always doing a show I reached out to her when Oh my gosh Corong went on Netflix And we were both I was just like, alright buckle in Here we go

[01:21:31] Michelle and I never had a problem with one another In fact we We got along very well We haven't seen each other in a while And I think she probably hasn't gone a day Where she hasn't Heard my name And I haven't gone a day since

[01:21:47] I've heard her name and it's hard And the funny thing is like We're always chill with each other And it really was something that The internet kind of took and ran with it So I'm happy for her She seems to be doing really well And yeah

[01:22:04] I wish her well It was a bummer that The fervor was that intense for a while Like I know she got a lot of crap I got a ton of crap But it was never an issue we had with one another Aubrey thank you so much Yeah

[01:22:23] It was so nice to get to that job, Aubrey Great You too Thank you and T-Bird Thank you for connecting All of these wild birds From around the survivor community Like I truly like I have to send a note too To Debbie Ron and Devin it's nice

[01:22:42] That people remember you a certain way And if I mean I think about 38 And I'm like oh my gosh what a disaster So it's nice to have And Aubrey as soon as I contacted them They got back to me like With a sentence

[01:22:56] That they wanted to do it Yeah Yeah And I can't wait to see you on season 50 T-Bird That'll be so fun Heck yeah T-Bird we're doing wall to wall Round the clock coverage 24 hours a day Oh my gosh I want survivor to be like Big brother

[01:23:14] Like that's the thing is I don't want it to be on the internet But I want live feeds Cause if we had live feeds you would understand Why someone had to make a decision That you think wasn't the right one But why they had to within that dynamic

[01:23:27] Or why someone voted for someone that Yeah anyway But Aubrey are you gonna be watching Big Brother When it starts up here in a couple of weeks? Oh my gosh this is the thing with Big Brother I'm like don't sucker me in Don't sucker me in

[01:23:43] But then you get back again I might dabble here and there If I'm up late with the baby Okay Did you just start watching it last year? No With Surrey or had you watched it before? I had watched it and

[01:23:58] The first time I watched it was Paul's second season I've done some like particles for EW around that And I hadn't watched for a couple seasons But then when Surrey was on and I was extremely pregnant In the height of summer I was like okay I'm in

[01:24:14] So Aubrey did you watch And I just lost it Rob helped me Did you watch the show Surrey was on And now they did second Traders I actually watched it I haven't seen it I have to You ever seen any of them? Aubrey Aubrey No I know

[01:24:29] Listen to this I just happened to watch it Because I just happened to watch it Because somebody was on the first season And I was met him And so I just real fast went through the first season Oh I loved it You will love it Okay

[01:24:45] You're gonna love it And then season three is coming Carolyn's gonna be on it and some other people I know You gotta binge watch it You're gonna love it Okay You're gonna love it That's on the top of my list Here's a

[01:24:58] Let me post it on what you think, what you see it I will Alright Aubrey thank you so much Okay Aubrey thank you Thank you Alright everybody there you have it Aubrey Braco That's so nice You know how do you Like I said I felt like

[01:25:14] I felt like I've met her And that I know her Before we even did the Interview She's wonderful She is What a memorable character A likeable What a likeable character For me it's so interesting Because I feel like You know I do the podcast

[01:25:29] And I'm doing the same thing For you know almost 15 years And you know Aubrey is somebody And she came on to the show And she was like Went from being somebody Who was just like a nobody Who was a cast on Survivor

[01:25:42] To then we got to know her Very very well From playing the game so much And then she was on the podcast Many many times And then after that Then you know she has You know she had her experience And then went back out into the world

[01:25:56] So it's for me It's like a You know class reunion Where I'm the teacher And then she comes home It's like oh it's so nice to see you She looks exactly the same That she did And you know She looks just doing great

[01:26:09] And I don't mean that character In a bad way I just mean that You know that's kind of When we play Survivor That's kind of how people are looking I think everybody has characters But she's such a real person You just like her From her

[01:26:23] Like I said from her dance moves To just watching her struggle And it's so nice to hear From Rick and Ron Talking about how hard She played And she never quit playing No Oh Ed and Xtation Because that's the kind of person she is Yes

[01:26:40] That's who she is She's such a layered Like three dimensional person And I think that she Like at times probably Like did not love the way That Survivor can paint you As a two dimensional person Especially Ed And the internet can characterize you

[01:26:55] As more of like a two dimensional person This is what you are And I think that Aubrey Is just a great example of somebody And all the different types of person Of a person that a Survivor can be She played in these three seasons

[01:27:09] So back to back to back That tells you how much CBS loved her Sure And the fans loved her So she's a legend She will be remembered Alright T-Bird what's coming up for you? Well we're going to do some more Talking with T-Birds We've still got a couple
