Survivor San Juan Del Sur Ep 8 | 10 Year Anniversary

Rob Cesternino and Josh Wigler are back to dissect episode eight of Survivor: San Juan del Sur, marking its 10-year anniversary.

[00:00:00] It was 10 years ago tonight on a night just like this when we watched Survivor San Juan Del Sur Episode 8 for the first time and it sounded just like this.

[00:00:13] As long as you keep burping I guess you're okay. Taco overload baby!

[00:00:18] Bleh!

[00:00:18] That's right! We're back with Josh Wiggler. Josh, he's a good boy. He hasn't been arrested.

[00:00:28] That you know about.

[00:00:29] That's what I know about. Yeah, he didn't tell me.

[00:00:32] I didn't make him submit to a background check.

[00:00:35] Whoever said I didn't kill anybody.

[00:00:37] Yeah.

[00:00:38] Yeah. I feel sick today. I gotta be honest with you.

[00:00:41] What's wrong?

[00:00:42] I ate a lot of lunch.

[00:00:44] Too much?

[00:00:45] Bunch of tacos.

[00:00:47] You know, I watched San Juan Del Sur. I got in the mood.

[00:00:51] I got steak tacos down. Portabellas.

[00:00:56] Some chicken tinga.

[00:00:58] Yeah. That's a big lunch.

[00:01:00] I had some ropa viejo.

[00:01:03] Is this a bit? Oh, you really ate all this for lunch today?

[00:01:07] I'm stuffed.

[00:01:08] Yeah. In preparation of this?

[00:01:10] This is your method podcaster?

[00:01:12] Yeah. I wanted to get a little method with this episode.

[00:01:16] Yeah.

[00:01:17] I wanted to know what it felt like to experience.

[00:01:23] Taco overload.

[00:01:24] Taco overload.

[00:01:25] Yeah. So, famously, that was the hashtag 10 years ago tonight on November 12th, 2014.

[00:01:32] I didn't check the hashtag. Is it still being used?

[00:01:34] No. Well, I didn't check the hashtag yet, but they took the hashtag off of the episode on Paramount Plus.

[00:01:42] Oh, it's not on there.

[00:01:44] No.

[00:01:45] And I feel like I've seen some hashtags on these episodes on Paramount Plus, but that was not there.

[00:01:53] Did something happen in like with like tacos that they don't feel proud of that anymore?

[00:02:01] I don't think so. I just wonder if it's like the projects are layered and they just didn't export it with that layer of like promos and hashtags and stuff like that.

[00:02:10] Chips into at the Nicaragua taco bar.

[00:02:12] But I do feel like I've seen hashtags on some of the other episodes.

[00:02:15] Yeah.

[00:02:16] Uh, I'm not so sure why we're getting rid of, uh, the taco overload.

[00:02:21] I think of all the hashtags back.

[00:02:24] All right.

[00:02:25] Remember when you used to end every podcast calling out a hashtag?

[00:02:29] Yeah.

[00:02:29] When did that, when did that stop?

[00:02:31] Um, and why?

[00:02:33] Yeah.

[00:02:34] I feel like that.

[00:02:35] Bring it back.

[00:02:35] I used to do it on like especially long podcasts.

[00:02:38] And then I feel like that maybe the podcast got not as long.

[00:02:44] Yeah.

[00:02:44] We can get it back, but I don't think that people really use the hashtags.

[00:02:47] I think hashtags are pretty diminished in their popularity.

[00:02:50] Among the issues now is that we are scattered to the seven winds on social media these days.

[00:02:57] So where does the hashtag even apply?

[00:03:00] Are we on X?

[00:03:01] Are we threading?

[00:03:03] Are we skeeting over at blue sky?

[00:03:05] Is this an Instagram hashtag?

[00:03:07] Is it just a hashtag in our hearts?

[00:03:10] We have to, you know, answer these questions before I think we implement the hashtag again.

[00:03:15] But it used to be one of my very favorite things that we did here on our AJP.

[00:03:18] Yeah.

[00:03:19] I think even just like a spiritual hashtag.

[00:03:21] I think actually the Stan Wandel sir podcast is probably a great place to be doing the hashtags since that's so 10 years ago.

[00:03:30] Mm hmm.

[00:03:32] Yeah.

[00:03:32] I mean, it truly is.

[00:03:33] So if you want to reincorporate any hashtags here into this podcast, we're welcome to.

[00:03:39] But Josh, you know, we've been trying to track all season long similarities between survivor 47 and also survivor San Wandel sir.

[00:03:50] Yes.

[00:03:51] I think there's one through line across both the timelines.

[00:03:55] Okay.

[00:03:56] Talk, talk, talk me through it.

[00:03:58] The timelines intersect with hashtag margarita curse.

[00:04:07] Yeah.

[00:04:08] I think like rushing to crush a margarita on survivor or really any, who has this worked for?

[00:04:19] Actually, I guess is a question.

[00:04:20] Like, who is this worked out well for?

[00:04:23] Who does number two work for?

[00:04:24] Who does number two work for?

[00:04:28] Who does number two work for when it comes to drinking out there on the beach?

[00:04:34] Because I feel like number two doesn't work out so well.

[00:04:38] No.

[00:04:38] When you drink that much on the beach.

[00:04:40] Yeah.

[00:04:41] You know, you don't want to overdo it.

[00:04:44] I want historical examples from the chat.

[00:04:47] Uh, who on survivor has gotten, let's call it schlitzed.

[00:04:53] Who's gotten schlitzed out there on the beach?

[00:04:56] And who is it worked out for?

[00:04:58] Mm hmm.

[00:04:59] Inquiring minds would like to know.

[00:05:02] Yeah.

[00:05:02] All right.

[00:05:03] So a good question.

[00:05:05] Yeah.

[00:05:05] I don't really know exactly.

[00:05:08] Margarita Pete's.

[00:05:09] Am I a margarita man?

[00:05:10] Yeah.

[00:05:10] I'm asking.

[00:05:11] Uh, I don't mind a margarita.

[00:05:13] I'm not a big frozen margarita guy.

[00:05:14] I think I'll get a margarita on the rocks.

[00:05:17] Yeah.

[00:05:17] Yeah.

[00:05:18] You don't like a margarita neat?

[00:05:20] Hmm.

[00:05:21] No ice.

[00:05:22] Yeah.

[00:05:23] Just kind of room temp.

[00:05:24] No, I don't want a room temp margarita.

[00:05:28] That was pretty gross.

[00:05:29] Yeah.

[00:05:30] Uh, okay.

[00:05:30] We've got an answer on the, who got drunk and it worked out for them front.

[00:05:34] Uh, Heidi says Mike white.

[00:05:36] Sure.

[00:05:36] But that was more like day 38, day 39.

[00:05:39] Yeah.

[00:05:41] Yeah.

[00:05:41] But like, there's also people who like get to day 39 and they're like, Oh man, I could

[00:05:47] let my hair down.

[00:05:48] I made it to the end.

[00:05:49] It's out of my hands.

[00:05:51] Now.

[00:05:51] Uh, let me just drink this mimosa.

[00:05:53] And then bam, you're slipping on rocks and slicing your back open.

[00:05:59] Like Otis Bush cows.

[00:06:01] Typically also have a blood versus water season.

[00:06:04] Yeah.

[00:06:04] You shouldn't, uh, really get too involved with alcohol and survivor.

[00:06:07] I think that's a pretty good rule of thumb.

[00:06:10] I think probably maybe this is just like a very, like, Whoa, so straight edge here to

[00:06:17] say, I don't think drink, don't drink on survivor.

[00:06:20] Like if you're going to go out to survivor, don't drink.

[00:06:23] I mean, many survivors have had a beer, you know, had a glass of wine and not had any problems

[00:06:29] with it.

[00:06:29] I think that is the unnecessary risk, much like the tacos.

[00:06:33] Don't overdo it.

[00:06:35] You know what?

[00:06:36] If I ever find myself out there on survivor, Rob, I'm not drinking.

[00:06:40] I'm not drinking on the beach.

[00:06:41] I won't do it.

[00:06:42] You didn't, uh, when you were at ghost Island, uh, open up a brew ski.

[00:06:47] I may or may not have been passed a couple, but okay.

[00:06:52] I mean, if you listen to first one out, go zero at the end, you would be excused for thinking

[00:06:56] that I got schlitzed.

[00:06:57] Yes.

[00:06:58] All right.

[00:06:58] Let's talk a little bit about, uh, what's going on here in episode number eight.

[00:07:03] This is ultimately a episode that is going to culminate in, uh, the end of the Josh versus

[00:07:10] Jeremy standoff, uh, which, uh, almost came to pass last time out when Julie McGee quit

[00:07:17] and Josh Canfield ends up getting voted out here in this episode.

[00:07:21] And I kind of, this is a little bit of a fuzzy part of the season for me.

[00:07:24] I don't really, uh, remember too much about this, but this was certainly interesting to

[00:07:30] go back and watch.

[00:07:31] Yeah.

[00:07:31] Can I tell you my review of this episode?

[00:07:34] Sure.

[00:07:36] Uh, why you didn't like it?

[00:07:38] I didn't love it.

[00:07:39] Why?

[00:07:40] What was it that you did not like, you know, the things that I like are, are all the stuff

[00:07:43] that I love about San Juan del Sur, but in my memory, the, uh, the elimination of Josh

[00:07:50] and subsequent elimination of Jeremy is a lot more dramatic than it ends up being.

[00:07:55] No.

[00:07:55] Well, this part of it was not drama shoot drops next week.

[00:07:59] Uh, but Josh's Josh's, uh, uh, elimination from the game feels like a very foregone conclusion.

[00:08:07] Uh, there's really like no, like they don't even really let him, uh, do much in the way

[00:08:13] of like giving like sort of like a cap to his story.

[00:08:17] Yeah.

[00:08:17] Maybe this is also just like as a fellow Josh, I'm just, uh, it's a little salt in the margarita

[00:08:23] wounds, uh, over here.

[00:08:25] Yeah.

[00:08:25] The highlight of the episode is definitely the reward, which we don't say, uh, let's, let's

[00:08:32] go through it and talk through, uh, thoughts on all of this.

[00:08:35] Can I just ask quickly?

[00:08:36] Uh, I know Josh got voted out of the show this week.

[00:08:40] I'm not getting voted out of this podcast.

[00:08:42] Am I?

[00:08:43] No.

[00:08:43] I mean, you're not, you're not going to replace me with, uh, with, with John, with John.

[00:08:49] Yeah.

[00:08:50] As long as you're not spitting and farting, burping.

[00:08:53] Not on podcast.

[00:08:54] Mm hmm.

[00:08:55] Well, I guess I did.

[00:08:56] Well, I guess I did just do a, I did just blow a raspberry into the microphone.

[00:09:00] Does that count?

[00:09:00] You're fine.

[00:09:01] Okay.

[00:09:02] All right.

[00:09:03] Anyway.

[00:09:04] So last time we remember Jeremy was probably going to go home and Julie quit and it was

[00:09:11] a million dollar decision for somebody turned out to be for Natalie, I think.

[00:09:14] Uh, and so John and Jacqueline are in the middle, John and Jacqueline.

[00:09:19] And they're really the, once again, they said at the tribal council, I can't believe it.

[00:09:24] John and Jacqueline are always in the middle.

[00:09:27] Yeah.

[00:09:28] Didn't they make a sitcom about that?

[00:09:30] John and Jacqueline in the middle.

[00:09:31] I mean, the middle.

[00:09:33] Yes.

[00:09:33] No, maybe.

[00:09:34] I don't think so.

[00:09:35] I don't know.

[00:09:36] Would John and Jacqueline be good anchors of a sitcom?

[00:09:42] Um, I think they kind of have like the typical, like CBS, uh, relationship of like the, you

[00:09:50] know, Jacqueline is like the sometimes like disapproving wife and John is like the lovable

[00:09:56] dumb dumb.

[00:09:56] Um, yes.

[00:09:58] So respectfully to John and Jacqueline, they would not be my first round pick for, uh,

[00:10:03] sitcom characters from San San Juan del.

[00:10:05] So clearly I'm going Missy, uh, my beloved and Baylor, uh, for sure is the sitcom that

[00:10:10] I want to watch.

[00:10:11] But I guess you're right in terms of like, uh, if we're, if we're assigning these loved

[00:10:17] one pairs to sitcoms on different networks.

[00:10:21] Yeah.

[00:10:22] I do think that John and Jacqueline are the CBS sitcom here for sure.

[00:10:25] I think that Keith and Wes are on paramount.

[00:10:30] Interesting.

[00:10:31] Is it in the Yellowstone universe?

[00:10:33] Yeah.

[00:10:33] Uh, it's a Taylor Sheridan written, uh, nail, uh, uh, yellow nail.

[00:10:40] Mm hmm.

[00:10:41] They got to get that looked at yellow nail.

[00:10:45] It's going to fall off.

[00:10:46] It looks gross.

[00:10:47] It's really bad.

[00:10:49] Um, I think, uh, who else is left in the game?

[00:10:53] Josh and read.

[00:10:54] I feel like they've got like ABC energy to me.

[00:10:57] Hmm.

[00:10:57] I think their sitcom would have been ABC.

[00:11:01] Um, I think Alec and drew would be Fox.

[00:11:05] Yeah.

[00:11:05] I could see that.

[00:11:07] Even Netflix.

[00:11:08] Yeah.

[00:11:09] Yeah.

[00:11:09] I think like Missy and Baylor are like, uh, uh, like a Netflix show.

[00:11:13] It's like, what is that show?

[00:11:15] That's like, uh, like, uh, Missy and Baylor.

[00:11:18] I feel like are like ABC family.

[00:11:20] That doesn't exist anymore.

[00:11:22] Does it?

[00:11:22] Well, look, it did.

[00:11:25] And you could imagine it.

[00:11:27] Yeah.

[00:11:27] Yeah.

[00:11:28] But what, isn't there like a show that's on Netflix?

[00:11:30] That's like one of the top Netflix shows that you always see in like the charts.

[00:11:34] Jenny and Georgia.

[00:11:35] That's it.

[00:11:36] That's it.

[00:11:36] What is it?

[00:11:37] Jenny and Georgia.

[00:11:39] Is that it?

[00:11:39] Jenny and Georgia show.

[00:11:41] Yeah.

[00:11:41] Uh, have you ever met a single person who watches it?

[00:11:46] I think that there's an SNL sketch, uh, about this.

[00:11:50] Is that really?

[00:11:51] I think so.

[00:11:52] I just don't think it exists.

[00:11:53] But anyway, I think like the Missy and Baylor show would be, uh, sort of like that.

[00:11:58] Um, also Gilmore girls adjacent.

[00:12:00] So maybe CW.

[00:12:02] Maybe.

[00:12:02] Anyway, we could spend a lot of time here.

[00:12:05] Yeah.

[00:12:05] All right.

[00:12:06] So John, they were going to vote out Jeremy.

[00:12:12] Uh, John doesn't want to work with Jeremy.

[00:12:14] Jacqueline is more open to it, uh, that he doesn't really think that they could beat Jeremy

[00:12:19] if they keep him around.

[00:12:20] So this is sort of in John's mind and John and Jacqueline are not going to exactly be on

[00:12:25] the same page through a few of these votes during the post merge.

[00:12:29] Uh, but put that on the back burner.

[00:12:32] It's time for a reward challenge.

[00:12:33] John's major concern about Jeremy here.

[00:12:36] He doesn't fire fighter with children.

[00:12:37] He's a firefighter and he says he can a firefighter who's barely getting by.

[00:12:41] I want you.

[00:12:42] Don't worry about Jeremy's finances.

[00:12:44] Jeremy's fine.

[00:12:45] It's fine.

[00:12:46] Yeah.

[00:12:46] Jeremy's fine.

[00:12:47] Uh, he's doing great.

[00:12:48] He doesn't need to beat him in the challenges I think, or in the final travel council.

[00:12:53] Yeah.

[00:12:54] Yeah.

[00:12:54] So we're going to go for reward.

[00:12:57] We're going to play for a trip to the survivor taco bar.

[00:13:02] Yeah, baby.

[00:13:04] Yeah.

[00:13:04] Look.

[00:13:05] And, uh, my favorite thing that we hear, uh, is that apparently like Reed says that Josh

[00:13:12] has been talking about this for a long time.

[00:13:14] The whole time he's talking about Mexican.

[00:13:17] Yeah.

[00:13:17] He's been talking about the survivor taco bar and it's like, whoa, I didn't realize that

[00:13:22] like the survivor taco bar was such a prolific thing.

[00:13:24] I didn't take it so much that he was talking about the survivor taco bar.

[00:13:28] I, I, that he was craving Mexican food.

[00:13:30] The whole time.

[00:13:31] He was craving.

[00:13:32] Mm hmm.

[00:13:33] Yeah.

[00:13:33] Dude lives in New York city where famously there's no good Mexican food.

[00:13:37] Yeah.

[00:13:38] I mean now they're in Nicaragua.

[00:13:39] They're, they're getting, they're pretty close to the hops, but they jumped to Mexico.

[00:13:44] Almost not quite.

[00:13:45] Almost not quite.

[00:13:46] Yeah.

[00:13:47] Yeah.

[00:13:47] Yeah.

[00:13:47] And I don't know what Nicaraguan food is like, but maybe it's a kin.

[00:13:54] A kin.

[00:13:55] Uh, I'll listen, listen, I would be thrilled to test, uh, test out the Nicaraguan taco

[00:14:02] bar.

[00:14:02] Uh, like send me there.

[00:14:05] Uh, do we have company resources to try this out?

[00:14:08] Research.

[00:14:09] Nicaraguan food is a flavorful blend of, uh, indigenous Spanish and African influences.

[00:14:17] Okay.

[00:14:17] Nice.

[00:14:18] Hearty meals.

[00:14:21] Hearty meals.

[00:14:21] Is that what, uh, is that heart hearty?

[00:14:24] Like, uh, like, like, like it, it goes to your heart or it comes from your heart.

[00:14:30] Yeah.

[00:14:30] Um, I think it's more like a, yeah, hearty dish, uh, with meat, green plantains and yucca.

[00:14:36] Yeah.

[00:14:37] That, uh, yucca.

[00:14:38] Cusilo.

[00:14:39] Yucca is delicious.

[00:14:40] Yeah.

[00:14:41] Good stuff.

[00:14:41] Yeah.

[00:14:41] That sounds delicious.

[00:14:42] By the way, I would eat some of that if I hadn't already gorged at the Brooklyn taco

[00:14:48] bar.

[00:14:49] Okay.

[00:14:50] So, all right.

[00:14:50] So, uh, the yellow team wins reward.

[00:14:53] Uh, that is Jeremy, Natalie, Wes, Keith and Reed.

[00:15:00] And so the challenge is what?

[00:15:01] Like, uh, move heavy, like boulder bricks.

[00:15:06] And then, uh, well, but use a pulley system, pulley system.

[00:15:10] And, um, there is a point where Jeff even calls it out that like the yellow team is very

[00:15:16] organized.

[00:15:17] The blue team is just like stacking their blocks.

[00:15:19] And it looks like one is going to fall off.

[00:15:21] Jeff says like, uh, if one of those falls, it's going to take somebody's head off.

[00:15:25] It's like, yeah.

[00:15:27] Yeah.

[00:15:28] That this is not a good idea.

[00:15:30] Is he?

[00:15:30] So what do you think?

[00:15:31] Is he like narrating that or is he like yelling off camera to cure Hoffer and crew?

[00:15:37] Like, what are we doing?

[00:15:38] I think it's a little late for that.

[00:15:39] I think he's sort of just trying to plant the seed.

[00:15:41] Like, Hey, blue team, be careful.

[00:15:45] Yeah.

[00:15:45] We don't want to get sued.

[00:15:47] Mm hmm.

[00:15:48] Yeah.

[00:15:49] But they get through fine.

[00:15:50] And the yellow team wins.

[00:15:51] No one's head fell off in the making of this challenge.

[00:15:54] And yellow team has to pick somebody to send to, uh, exile Island.

[00:15:59] And Keith nail is says, uh, Hey, I think John can handle it.

[00:16:05] Yeah.

[00:16:06] He, he nominates John quickly.

[00:16:08] Uh, and there's really, no one is fighting hard against that.

[00:16:12] It's a fairly quick consensus picks and John.

[00:16:15] Yeah.

[00:16:16] And it's like, well, I think John can handle it.

[00:16:18] And he's like, Oh, okay.

[00:16:19] Thanks a lot guys.

[00:16:19] Okay.

[00:16:20] Uh, I guess the compliment, John is, John is absolutely the right person to send by the

[00:16:26] way.

[00:16:27] But like, just, just like in terms of like who not, not even like who can handle it

[00:16:31] in terms of like the hardship, but who's not going to be hurt or offended, uh, in being

[00:16:37] selected to go to, um, to exile Island.

[00:16:40] And that's for sure.

[00:16:41] John Mish.

[00:16:42] John Mish is like, Oh, an adventure.

[00:16:44] Can't wait.

[00:16:45] You know, like, Oh, something new, shiny object.

[00:16:48] Take me there.

[00:16:49] Uh, Alec also.

[00:16:51] Yeah.

[00:16:52] Has that hasn't been to exile yet?

[00:16:54] No.

[00:16:55] Does he go?

[00:16:56] I don't remember.

[00:16:57] I don't believe so, but yeah.

[00:17:00] All right.

[00:17:01] All right.

[00:17:01] So survivor taco bar, here we go.

[00:17:04] Not a lot of game talk at survivor taco bar, because you have people that are in opposite

[00:17:08] alliances.

[00:17:09] You have Jeremy and Natalie who were trying to send Josh home.

[00:17:13] You have Wes and Keith and Reed who were trying to send Jeremy home.

[00:17:18] Yeah.

[00:17:19] So they're not really talking at all so much as burping and farting.

[00:17:24] Yeah.

[00:17:24] Okay.

[00:17:25] So Wes tries to say, boy, good thing Julie quit because, uh, or too bad she quit.

[00:17:30] That was going to be my pick.

[00:17:31] And then we had to go to tribal.

[00:17:33] Yeah.

[00:17:33] He's really on that too.

[00:17:34] He's like, Oh man, it's a shame that Julie quit.

[00:17:37] That's where my vote was going.

[00:17:38] Now I don't know what to do.

[00:17:40] Jeremy's like, come on.

[00:17:42] Come on.

[00:17:43] Come on.

[00:17:45] Come on.

[00:17:46] All right.

[00:17:47] Meanwhile, I'm not looking forward to Jeremy being off this season, by the way.

[00:17:52] Yeah.

[00:17:52] But that's also the start of Natalie's story, which again, Natalie, pretty still not, not

[00:17:58] super visible.

[00:17:59] Even in this episode, we're not doing much with her.

[00:18:01] I would, um, I would be interested actually do the Ponderosa videos for this season still

[00:18:07] exist.

[00:18:07] I have no idea.

[00:18:08] Someone, uh, uh, can we get our, uh, our, our, uh, San Juan del surrogates on this

[00:18:13] please.

[00:18:14] Josh, Josh, Josh green and Danielle.

[00:18:17] Yeah.

[00:18:18] Ponderosa videos for us, please.

[00:18:19] Because I remember the, the, uh, the bromance between Josh and Jeremy being very fun.

[00:18:25] I would like to see that again.

[00:18:25] Okay.

[00:18:26] Yeah.

[00:18:26] I don't know if they were doing them, but, uh, we'll see if they came up, they would

[00:18:32] have been mentioned in the real time.

[00:18:34] Yeah.

[00:18:34] Yes.

[00:18:35] Okay.

[00:18:36] All right.

[00:18:36] Let's talk about, uh, the taco overload situation.

[00:18:40] Wes, he is hungry.

[00:18:42] Now Wes was, uh, on the tribe that did not eat a lot of rice.

[00:18:48] Uh, and then he ended up getting, uh, flipping over to the tribe that did get rice and kebabs,

[00:18:55] but he's still hungry.

[00:18:56] Yeah.

[00:18:57] Oh, uh, three or four hard tacos, double cheese, double meat.

[00:19:02] Take it easy.

[00:19:03] Slow and steady wins the race.

[00:19:06] Yeah.

[00:19:09] Yeah.

[00:19:10] I've heard that one.

[00:19:11] Dad, double cheese, double meat, double cheese, double meat.

[00:19:16] He's a double cheese, double meat collector.

[00:19:19] This West nail.

[00:19:19] Um, and, and I left like three or four hard shell tacos.

[00:19:26] Is he saying this is what he's eaten already?

[00:19:28] No, this is his order.

[00:19:29] He's ordering more.

[00:19:30] He's like grabbing the waiter.

[00:19:31] And this is, this is what he's, uh, he's telling them.

[00:19:36] He's putting the onus on the waiter to decide between three or four hard tacos, double cheese,

[00:19:43] double meat, take it easy, slow and steady wins the race.

[00:19:49] Wins the race.

[00:19:50] And he's still pounding beers and the margaritas.

[00:19:55] Wes is going off.

[00:19:56] Wes is going nuts.

[00:19:57] He's, he is going to, he's going to flavor town.

[00:20:01] Uh, and he may not come back.

[00:20:04] Um, now he says he tells the waiter three or four.

[00:20:08] Yeah.

[00:20:09] So the waiter has to decide that.

[00:20:11] Yeah.

[00:20:12] It's like a buffet.

[00:20:13] Probably bring them four.

[00:20:14] Um, do you, did he, did I miss, did I hear that right?

[00:20:18] Three or four.

[00:20:19] Did he say three Oh four.

[00:20:21] Did he ask for 304?

[00:20:22] I don't think he said three Oh four.

[00:20:24] Hard shell.

[00:20:25] Yeah.

[00:20:26] Tacos, double cheese, double meat.

[00:20:28] Yeah.

[00:20:28] And he is instantly regretting it.

[00:20:33] Keith said, uh, Wesley now slow down.

[00:20:37] He's like, yeah, right.

[00:20:38] Um, and he's going to start now trying to, uh, make himself feel better.

[00:20:45] As long as you keep burping, I guess you're okay.

[00:20:48] A lot of burping.

[00:20:49] This might be the episode in survivor history.

[00:20:51] Most burping, farting, spitting.

[00:20:56] Yeah.

[00:20:56] I was surprised that, uh, that West didn't continue his trend of calling out that his

[00:21:01] father's words were in reference to like old tales, like folklore, like slow and steady.

[00:21:08] When's the race.

[00:21:09] As long as you keep burping, you'll be all right.

[00:21:12] Yeah.

[00:21:12] Like grandpa Joe and Charlie, when they were drinking fizzy lifting drinks, it nearly got

[00:21:16] blended up in the fan.

[00:21:18] Keith Dale has a little bit of a grandpa Joe vibe.

[00:21:21] There's a bit of a grandpa Joe to, to, and I think actually there's a little bit more

[00:21:25] of a Charlie bucket to Wes.

[00:21:27] I think the same more of an Augustus gloop.

[00:21:29] Yeah.

[00:21:30] Say some proof for later.

[00:21:31] Uh, but like, I think that West Dale and Charlie bucket kind of have the same hair.

[00:21:36] Hmm.

[00:21:36] You see that?

[00:21:38] I could see it.

[00:21:40] Yeah.

[00:21:40] You know, also, um, the trip to the chocolate factory was a bit of a San Juan.

[00:21:45] They're full of hard shell tacos, right?

[00:21:47] It was a little bit of a blood versus water there.

[00:21:49] You had to go with your loved one.

[00:21:51] Yeah.

[00:21:52] The parents cleaned house.

[00:21:54] Parents.

[00:21:55] The parents netted out quite well.

[00:21:57] The children tribe got eviscerated.

[00:22:00] Mm hmm.

[00:22:01] Yeah.

[00:22:01] Swiftly.

[00:22:02] Yep.

[00:22:03] All right.

[00:22:04] So yeah, Wes is not feeling good.

[00:22:08] He's getting sick.

[00:22:09] Uh, Keith is a little embarrassed.

[00:22:11] Uh, he tries to explain about my son, about his son.

[00:22:15] Wes is a good kid.

[00:22:17] He ain't been in jail yet.

[00:22:18] Uh, you know, but he does make some mistakes.

[00:22:22] He hasn't been to jail yet.

[00:22:23] That was 10 years ago.

[00:22:24] Can we, um, uh, do we have the San Juan del surrogates?

[00:22:27] Have they looked at the correctional records?

[00:22:29] The smoking gun?

[00:22:31] Yeah.

[00:22:32] Since, uh, 10 years, uh, has Wes been in or out of, uh, jail at this point?

[00:22:36] This is an interesting episode for Keith, for sure.

[00:22:39] Because he has everything going on with Wesley and that he is like trying to like, he's like,

[00:22:44] Oh, uh, you know, I don't know who raised him.

[00:22:47] Uh, I don't know.

[00:22:48] Uh, I think it was his mother.

[00:22:50] Like, uh, but then also he gets into it with Missy quite a bit about Baylor in this episode.

[00:22:57] Yeah.

[00:22:57] Later on, later on, it's like, he hadn't had enough at the taco bar himself.

[00:23:01] He had to eat a whole foot too.

[00:23:03] Uh, yeah, that that's no good.

[00:23:06] That's no good later on.

[00:23:07] But the West nail stuff at the taco bar, uh, still very fun.

[00:23:12] Put West nail on second chances too.

[00:23:15] Yeah.

[00:23:15] Uh, yeah, I think so.

[00:23:17] I think this is Wes's best moment.

[00:23:19] I mean, Wes is too iconic moment.

[00:23:21] Wes's best moment is still to come.

[00:23:22] I think that either he ate 50 nuggets once about it.

[00:23:29] I mean, could we just get like West nail week or two weeks from now?

[00:23:32] I don't know if he needs to play survivor again, but can we get him on like something

[00:23:35] like man versus food or some kind of like, um, I don't know.

[00:23:39] Are they still?

[00:23:40] Uh, so I know that Adam Richmond was the original host of man versus food.

[00:23:43] And then like the very sweet, um, uh, uh, also much like the men of San Juan del Sur kind

[00:23:49] of has dog energy.

[00:23:50] Casey Webb, uh, has been the host of man versus food for the last several years.

[00:23:54] But if he's no longer in that role, I do think Wes could be quite good for it.

[00:24:01] Um, I would, I would be down for like, uh, uh, like a Wes nail.

[00:24:06] I don't know what you call like, uh, is it just taco overload with Wes nail and it's him

[00:24:12] versus various tacos.

[00:24:13] I don't know.

[00:24:14] Now famously, uh, you were a nail male.

[00:24:16] I was.

[00:24:17] Yeah.

[00:24:17] Are you adopting Wes?

[00:24:21] Yeah.

[00:24:21] He's, he, he's part of the, he's part of the nail clan.

[00:24:25] Um, you know, he's an integral part of Keith's story.

[00:24:29] So why not?

[00:24:30] Okay.

[00:24:31] Uh, five went West.

[00:24:32] So why shouldn't I, this episode is brought to you by better help.

[00:24:39] Okay.

[00:24:39] November, this is a month.

[00:24:41] It's all about gratitude.

[00:24:54] about different things that are going on in my own life.

[00:24:57] And I appreciate you being there for me, but another person that we don't always get to thank

[00:25:03] enough are ourselves.

[00:25:05] And sometimes we need to remind ourselves that we're trying our best to make sense out

[00:25:09] of everything in this crazy world.

[00:25:11] And it's not easy.

[00:25:13] So here's a reminder to send some thanks to all the people in your life, including yourself.

[00:25:19] Now, maybe you don't have a podcast where you can talk about different things that might

[00:25:23] be on your mind.

[00:26:00] H-E-L-P dot com slash RHAP.

[00:26:04] Back at camp, we are seeing the interesting plight of Jacqueline in this episode.

[00:26:11] Uh, we see first that, uh, Josh is working on Jacqueline and Baylor, but I feel like that even

[00:26:19] in Josh's swan song on the season, not Josh's finest hour.

[00:26:23] No, no.

[00:26:25] He basically goes up to Baylor and says, Baylor, Baylor, come on.

[00:26:35] Yeah.

[00:26:36] You know, like that's the pitch.

[00:26:37] I believe the term is quid pro quo.

[00:26:41] Yeah.

[00:26:42] No quid pro quo.

[00:26:44] No quid pro quo.

[00:26:45] Yeah.

[00:26:46] Quid pro quo might come back though.

[00:26:48] I do think a QPQ is going to make a comeback here.

[00:26:51] He's like, you owe me one.

[00:26:54] Yeah.

[00:26:55] Don't you think you owe me one Baylor?

[00:26:58] Baylor.

[00:26:59] She said, Oh my God.

[00:27:02] Yeah.

[00:27:02] She doesn't love it.

[00:27:04] Um, yeah, this is, this is sort of like the full disintegration of Josh and Baylor.

[00:27:10] And I do think that like the merge handling of Baylor on Josh's behalf, look blood versus

[00:27:18] water seasons, I think are tricky and I think are, uh, like not the norm.

[00:27:23] So I think maybe some of like the regular ways you grade survivor or like the, the conventional

[00:27:29] ways that you play the game.

[00:27:32] There's, there's X factors, right?

[00:27:33] There's a loved ones, all of that.

[00:27:34] Um, so like, I don't want to grade them too harshly.

[00:27:37] That being said, Josh is handling of Baylor in the merge and these two episodes.

[00:27:43] It was not great.

[00:27:43] It's really, it's really bad.

[00:27:46] And sort of, I do think in hindsight, perhaps sullies the reputation Josh accrued in the

[00:27:53] first portion of the game that Josh is really good at this.

[00:27:55] Like maybe he's not, it's a possibility.

[00:27:58] I think that Baylor was just like his ultimate Achilles heel where it was like his game, his

[00:28:07] social game with a lot of the other players was actually very good.

[00:28:09] Great.

[00:28:10] He's working with the likes of, you know, the Alec and John Rocker and even like a friendly

[00:28:17] enough with Dale.

[00:28:18] And, you know, it seemed like that he actually got along pretty well with almost all of the

[00:28:24] guys.

[00:28:25] Yeah.

[00:28:25] Yeah.

[00:28:26] And, uh, honestly, I like, it feels like that the, uh, the women players, uh, were where

[00:28:32] he had problems.

[00:28:34] Yeah.

[00:28:34] And I think interestingly when it comes to, to Baylor, I think like he kind of just like

[00:28:39] treated her like a kid, uh, who was just going to go along for the ride, who was going

[00:28:43] to be totally fine with getting a stray vote at that first tribal council who is totally

[00:28:47] going to be in his back pocket for the rest of the thing, get in the backseat, let me

[00:28:51] drive, but you're not her dad.

[00:28:54] Uh, you know, like you can't treat her like that.

[00:28:56] You got to treat her like the babysitter while Missy was on the other tribe.

[00:29:01] And then mama bear is home.

[00:29:03] Okay.

[00:29:04] Yeah.

[00:29:05] You told mom, you told your mom, like, but we had like that whole thing.

[00:29:10] Like you said, you wouldn't tell, like, like I gave you pizza after dark, which we're not

[00:29:15] supposed to do and light and water and all of that after midnight.

[00:29:20] Uh, and look at you, you've gone full gremlin on me.

[00:29:23] Uh, so yeah, I think like there's, there's something there.

[00:29:27] I just think that like the way that Josh handled Baylor is quite bad.

[00:29:31] Not great.

[00:29:32] Uh, is it's not very good.

[00:29:34] And like, so the point that like, though, that he like, he knows that too, probably at this

[00:29:38] point where he's like, ah, screw it.

[00:29:40] Yep.

[00:29:41] And as has been well documented across, uh, all of the podcasts for many, many years,

[00:29:47] survivor and big brother, the, uh, okay.

[00:29:49] You owe me one never ever works.

[00:29:53] Kind of work with weasel.

[00:29:55] Woo.

[00:29:56] Mm hmm.

[00:29:57] But that was different.

[00:29:57] That wasn't that you owe me one.

[00:29:59] That was like, you need to prove with this next decision that you're an honorable person.

[00:30:05] Yeah.

[00:30:05] It's not like I got you to, uh, the end.

[00:30:08] Has I owe you one ever worked?

[00:30:11] I'm trying to think of when, uh, it did work.

[00:30:14] Who has like cashed in on the I owe you.

[00:30:17] You owe me, you owe me one.

[00:30:19] Yeah.

[00:30:19] Yeah.

[00:30:20] I owe you is a bad form of currency.

[00:30:22] If dumb and dumber didn't already prove it, then, uh, San Juan del Sur, uh, certainly

[00:30:28] is, uh, driving the point home.

[00:30:29] Mm hmm.

[00:30:30] Okay.

[00:30:32] So on XL Island, John is able to find the hidden immunity idol.

[00:30:39] Yes.

[00:30:39] Yeah.

[00:30:40] And again, like, it is like sort of like, uh, like, all right, doggy, here's a treat, you

[00:30:45] know?

[00:30:45] And he's like, Ooh, go sniff it out.

[00:30:47] Mm hmm.

[00:30:48] And he's like, he's like a drug sniffing dog.

[00:30:50] He's going out there.

[00:30:51] He goes to like the rock.

[00:30:52] He finds the thing behind the rock.

[00:30:54] The thing that really struck me during this was that, you know, we're really in Nicaragua

[00:31:00] and I feel like that this like is an iconic landmark in the Nicaragua seasons that I'm

[00:31:07] trying to think of if this was what, if this was redemption Island during the titular redemption

[00:31:14] Island, I feel like, or if this was just like part of like the beach, Matt O'Rod,

[00:31:18] Matt O'Rod used to hang out here.

[00:31:21] Yeah.

[00:31:21] It's like, what?

[00:31:21] Matt O'Rod out here.

[00:31:23] Yeah.

[00:31:23] Yeah.

[00:31:23] This was his spot.

[00:31:24] Yeah.

[00:31:24] Did a Naanka hang out in these parts?

[00:31:27] Like, uh, just like the, the through line of the Nicaraguan survivor players.

[00:31:32] I do.

[00:31:33] I do think that there's, um, obviously at this point with like Fiji, like Fiji is like,

[00:31:39] okay, well, like, uh, we moved around the country at your entire life, but we finally

[00:31:44] bought a house and it's like, Oh, stability, but also like, ah, you know, I know that that's

[00:31:49] the well it's that long path to the well.

[00:31:52] Uh, there's the rock formation with like the hole in it.

[00:31:55] And like, it's like overly familiar these seasons where they went back a couple of times.

[00:32:00] So like, uh, when we went back to like Samoa, a couple of times, we go back to Nicaragua

[00:32:05] a couple of times, there is some nostalgia for me because it's not like overdone in the

[00:32:10] face of Fiji, uh, that I feel like, uh, like seeing this rock, which we're not going

[00:32:15] to see like all the time forever on survivor, but there are these four seasons where this

[00:32:20] is a landmark.

[00:32:21] Uh, that's, it's the, it's a cool thing to be like, uh, John Mish got the idol at the

[00:32:25] same place where Matt Elrod suffered for 30 some odd days.

[00:32:28] Yeah.

[00:32:28] Uh, you know, like the ghost of Matt, uh, is still here.

[00:32:31] Uh, that stuff I think is, is like really fun survivor lore that like, you could still say

[00:32:37] that now about, about Fiji that like all of these various things happened here.

[00:32:41] It's just not a special, right?

[00:32:42] It's just not, it's not special in that same way.

[00:32:44] Okay.

[00:32:45] So John Mish, he ends up finding the idol on exile.

[00:32:49] Meanwhile, back at camp, things are really turning, uh, against the guys.

[00:32:55] And this, uh, ends up probably being an oversimplification of this story, but it seems like Jeremy was on

[00:33:03] the hot seat.

[00:33:04] Then Jacqueline spent time with Wes and Alec.

[00:33:10] Well, Wes was on the hot seat all night.

[00:33:11] He was on the hot seat all night and they're talking about burping and farting and Missy is appalled.

[00:33:18] Jeremy talks about how he goes to the firehouse and look, there's, you know, there's a lot of guy talk, but when there's a, when there's these guys have no manners.

[00:33:26] Yeah.

[00:33:27] Have some manners.

[00:33:28] Yeah.

[00:33:29] And Jeremy's girl dad.

[00:33:31] Yeah.

[00:33:32] Have some manners.

[00:33:33] Mm hmm.

[00:33:34] Um, even Keith though, is kind of rude about Baylor.

[00:33:40] And he, I did, he says that, uh, Hey, if she was my kid, I probably would have whooped her six or seven times.

[00:33:48] Only Keith.

[00:33:49] Like, I really do think, I think we said this like towards the early, like the very beginning of this, that like, Keith may have been like the last person to go on survivor who could really get away with talking like this.

[00:33:59] Uh, like there was like, this shouldn't really be allowed.

[00:34:02] Uh, but like Keith, that was pulled it off.

[00:34:05] Pulled it off.

[00:34:06] He was a fan favorite.

[00:34:07] People love it.

[00:34:08] Yeah.

[00:34:08] But like, she's talking about whooping kids.

[00:34:12] Like what are we doing, Keith?

[00:34:14] Mm hmm.

[00:34:14] Um, he just, if she was his daughter, he would have.

[00:34:20] Okay.

[00:34:20] That makes it a lot better.

[00:34:22] Uh, and then Alec is like, clean this for me.

[00:34:27] Baylor.

[00:34:29] This ain't no charity now.

[00:34:31] This ain't no charity now.

[00:34:33] Yeah.

[00:34:34] Yeah.

[00:34:36] Woof.

[00:34:37] This ain't no charity now.

[00:34:39] Uh, blew up my skirt revisiting that.

[00:34:41] That was amazing.

[00:34:42] That was incredible.

[00:34:44] And they need their votes.

[00:34:50] Nobody ever accused the majority of the San Juan del Sur cast of being particularly clever.

[00:34:58] Yeah.

[00:34:58] Or candidates for the brains trap.

[00:35:01] You know, Josh, I'm sorry.

[00:35:03] Um, yeah, Josh ends up to me.

[00:35:06] Tell me if you get this.

[00:35:08] He's a little bit like scar in the lion King.

[00:35:11] Oh, and that he has been prepared.

[00:35:15] Yes.

[00:35:16] He should have been prepared.

[00:35:17] And then he has like his hyenas that work for him.

[00:35:20] Yeah.

[00:35:20] That are kind of like dumb and like not following the direction.

[00:35:24] So great.

[00:35:26] Yeah.

[00:35:26] Yeah.

[00:35:27] Uh, yeah, I think that, I think that's right.

[00:35:30] Uh, wait, there's no, there's no Baylor.

[00:35:32] Yeah.

[00:35:33] We're going to kill him.

[00:35:33] Whoa.

[00:35:34] I don't understand.

[00:35:34] Like, you know, like just like the whole, like laughing their way to their grave.

[00:35:38] These hyenas.

[00:35:39] Uh, yeah, I don't know what show they think they're on.

[00:35:42] Yeah.

[00:35:43] They're the show where they think they have the numbers.

[00:35:45] They think John's coming back and that, you know, the women need to be working more

[00:35:49] around the camp.

[00:35:51] Baylor's spoiled.

[00:35:52] She's getting a free ride.

[00:35:54] Yeah.

[00:35:54] Yeah.

[00:35:55] Backseat.

[00:35:56] Backseat.

[00:35:57] Other people are driving.

[00:35:58] Like take it.

[00:35:59] Now it's like your turn to drive.

[00:36:00] It is so notable to me.

[00:36:02] Um, like again, the X factors of a, of a blood versus water season that like you are,

[00:36:08] you know, on any other season of survivor, you're going to talk to the players the way

[00:36:12] you're just going to talk to them because you don't have to be afraid that like their

[00:36:15] parent is around the corner, but like they're saying all this stuff in front of her

[00:36:18] mom.

[00:36:19] Uh, I just feel like the way that they're like treating Baylor.

[00:36:22] It also does sound like that just like to be like fully transparent about this.

[00:36:28] It does sound like that Baylor was not a contributor at all around the camp life and

[00:36:34] was sort of just like skating by that.

[00:36:36] Missy was her mom.

[00:36:37] Even like when we, uh, got the exit press from Julie, Julie McGee even hated Baylor

[00:36:45] and said she was annoying and that she didn't do anything around the camp.

[00:36:49] Keith is saying like, uh, Hey Baylor, come on, help me get some wood.

[00:36:53] And then Missy's like, I'll get it. I'll get it. You know, the Baylor's like, I need to go take a nap.

[00:37:00] I'm not out here defending Baylor. Uh, certainly, uh, in terms of her work ethic around the camp.

[00:37:06] Uh, but like maybe in this particular circumstance, just as a thought, perhaps the move is like you,

[00:37:14] you set Missy aside and say, Hey, can I talk to you quickly about Baylor? Love Baylor enjoying playing the game with Baylor would love to continue playing the game with Baylor.

[00:37:24] Could you talk to her about working around the camp a little bit more?

[00:37:26] She's not really contributing much. Like, is there something we can do?

[00:37:29] Hey, nobody better talk about my baby like that.

[00:37:32] You, you, you, you, you, you want to be toast?

[00:37:39] You do a great Missy.

[00:37:40] I never tried it before.

[00:37:42] Well, that was something came out of you.

[00:37:45] She's got that mama bear energy.

[00:37:47] She doesn't want any sort of feedback about, don't tell me how to raise my kid.

[00:37:52] Mm hmm. Yeah. That's my daughter. Yeah.

[00:37:59] You can't be coming after my kid. Uh, yeah. So she's like, uh, like, you know, not loving that all of this is happening right in front of her.

[00:38:06] But, um, yeah, I don't know. Yeah.

[00:38:10] Yeah. All right. Uh, immunity challenge.

[00:38:12] Missy within Rob Sestranino is a fascinating thing to have discovered here on Stan Juan Delsert.

[00:38:16] Yeah. And don't tell.

[00:38:19] Sometimes that misimpression just shows up.

[00:38:22] Sometimes I'll tell my wife, uh, like, Hey, I think that the kids should be,

[00:38:25] Hey, don't be telling me how to raise my kid.

[00:38:28] That's my kid.

[00:38:30] Like, I just thought I would, I'd live here too.

[00:38:32] I'm the dad.

[00:38:33] Yeah. Something like, uh,

[00:38:35] Does Nicole do most of the driving?

[00:38:37] Um, she, when I drive, when I'm in the car.

[00:38:42] Okay.

[00:38:44] I was asking more like when the kids are in the car.

[00:38:46] I mean, I think she put 20,000 miles on the car last year.

[00:38:49] Um, she is driving a lot.

[00:38:51] That's a lot of driving.

[00:38:53] Mm hmm.

[00:38:54] Cause the school's not that close.

[00:38:56] And then my kids will routinely on any given day, forget something.

[00:39:00] My wife would drive, you know, 20 minutes to the school, come back and then have to go and go again.

[00:39:08] I'm not one to try and tell you how you guys got to raise your kids, Rob, but maybe we need to talk to the boys about remember your belongings.

[00:39:17] There's, there's signs gas ain't cheap.

[00:39:21] Yeah.

[00:39:22] Hey, and time is money.

[00:39:25] Mm hmm.

[00:39:26] I'll talk to them if you need me.

[00:39:27] Yeah. If you could, if you could appreciate that.

[00:39:31] Okay.

[00:39:32] Immunity challenge.

[00:39:33] I did not have any recollection of this.

[00:39:35] If you would have asked me, did Jeremy win individual immunity in San Juan del Sur?

[00:39:39] I would have said, no, I would have stayed.

[00:39:41] I would have told you the answer to the trivia question.

[00:39:44] What, what immunity challenges has Jeremy Collins one.

[00:39:47] I remember that he won the final four immunity challenge in survivor second chances.

[00:39:54] I did not have any recollection of his immunity challenge when here in memory comp.

[00:40:01] Yeah.

[00:40:01] I missed the memory comp.

[00:40:03] Is this the last time we see the memory comp?

[00:40:05] I know, certainly not.

[00:40:07] We, we keep doing this.

[00:40:09] Got to come back.

[00:40:10] Yeah.

[00:40:11] I really liked it when there would be like, uh, like, uh, I liked the outbacks version of this.

[00:40:16] I thought it was a fun one.

[00:40:18] Um, where like you, like you see the thing on the board and then you got to go and pick it out in the field.

[00:40:23] Uh, but like the, here's like a, here's like a, a six sided die.

[00:40:30] You know, is it cinematic?

[00:40:33] No.

[00:40:35] Is it different?

[00:40:36] Yeah.

[00:40:37] Yeah.

[00:40:37] So I think like in the context of all of these like big brawler challenges, I kind of like having it here, but I do think maybe this challenge lends itself a bit to like the dud, the dudiness of this episode for me a little bit.

[00:40:52] Yeah.

[00:40:53] Um, thrilled for Jeremy though.

[00:40:55] I had also forgotten this.

[00:40:56] I absolutely thought going into this tribal coming into this week, watching the episode that like that was part of the tension.

[00:41:02] We don't, we just don't know.

[00:41:03] But the moment that Jeremy wins, it's like, yeah.

[00:41:05] And it also comes down to Josh and Jeremy are the last two people in the challenge.

[00:41:08] So kudos to Jeremy for winning the challenge.

[00:41:11] And then it's sort of like, they don't even really sell like a another outcome here after the challenge.

[00:41:18] Uh, so they're talking about like voting out Baylor now instead of Jeremy.

[00:41:24] Uh, yeah, I believe reads pitch to, uh, John and Jacqueline.

[00:41:28] He goes up to them and says, we're thinking Baylor.

[00:41:30] She's just annoying.

[00:41:32] Mm hmm.

[00:41:32] I think is really the pitch.

[00:41:34] It's like, she's annoying.

[00:41:35] It's time to get rid of her.

[00:41:36] That's it.

[00:41:38] Uh, so I don't know.

[00:41:40] I think maybe we could have, we could have, uh, I don't know what, what would, if you were on, um, Josh and Reed's side of this war, what's your pitch?

[00:41:50] What do you do?

[00:41:51] Is there any maneuverability?

[00:41:53] Is there any that the, that the, that the, that the wiggle room in this vote?

[00:42:00] Yeah.

[00:42:00] I feel like that for reading Josh.

[00:42:03] And again, I know we don't see a lot.

[00:42:05] Uh, could they sit down with John and Jacqueline and say like, Hey, like, uh, let's, let's be the final four.

[00:42:13] The, the four of us.

[00:42:14] Let's go, let's go to the end.

[00:42:17] You are our number one pair.

[00:42:19] Let's do this.

[00:42:20] Let's vote with, uh, Keith and like, uh, like Jacqueline, if there's any, again, I don't know how much visibility they have into do Josh and Reed know that Jacqueline is getting annoyed with how the guys are treating her.

[00:42:33] Or could that, you know, issue come to light perhaps.

[00:42:36] And it's like, okay, we're going to talk to, uh, Wes and Alec and, uh, that they are going to be on their best behavior.

[00:42:44] They're going to apologize to Jacqueline.

[00:42:47] And, you know, is there a world where, but does, cause it doesn't even seem like I would have said that, Oh, Missy has a hold on John, but John, I think seemingly wants to work with, I don't know who necessarily has the hold on Jacqueline.

[00:43:03] I do think that Natalie does a really good job at this episode.

[00:43:06] It's very subtle, but she's really like stirring the pot.

[00:43:09] Like, like the, Oh, can you believe these guys?

[00:43:11] Like she's really like trying to make, uh, you know, Jacqueline like feel like that.

[00:43:18] Okay. That they are. She's being treated poorly here.

[00:43:21] Yeah. I mean, I think, uh, one thing I was thinking about is like, and you know, we don't get to see everything.

[00:43:27] So who knows? Like, did Josh go to Jacqueline? Did he have like a private conversation?

[00:43:31] I guess I, you know, the show doesn't really focus on them having much of a relationship at all.

[00:43:36] And she was on the outside for, uh, much of those, uh, you know, early Coyopa votes. Um, but is there any kind of like attempt there? Um, but also like, is like at this point, is Baylor just such a foregone conclusion that she's the one to go for here? Uh, like Josh has put a lot of work, even if he's done a fairly poor job of managing Baylor, but he has put a lot of work into Baylor here.

[00:44:02] Who's like another target that you toss out at this moment. Couldn't everyone agree that they would be better off without Alec? You know, like, I feel like, can you sacrifice one of your own in this moment? I feel like, could the move be like, I saw the way that Alec and Wes treated you. And I don't know that like we can split Keith and Wes up and not have some kind of a dust up, but Alex alone out here.

[00:44:26] I just don't know if Josh and, uh, Reed know about the issues that are going on that Jacqueline is feeling some type of way about Wes.

[00:44:35] There's so little action on the beach. Like nothing happens. They'd have to be pretty, uh, daft to not pick up on the fact that like Alec and Wes are stinking up the joint.

[00:44:45] Do you lose Keith peeling off though? If you're trying to throw away Alec?

[00:44:49] Maybe, but you know what, you know what you do? You survive one more day.

[00:44:53] Yeah. And I think that, you know, for Josh and Reed, they've sort of had like the cold war with Jeremy so much.

[00:45:00] So I think it's hard to like triangulate where they're voting on the same side, where this thing is coming to a head.

[00:45:05] Yeah. Yeah. So I don't know. I, I think like part of the, the energy just sort of being like zapped from this chunk of the episode.

[00:45:12] I think there's a lot of really fun stuff, obviously the taco bar is incredible, but Josh, I think that there's also a hangover from the Julie episode where basically we had like three days of play that we're leading up to.

[00:45:22] It's either going to be Josh or it's going to be Jeremy and it was going to be Jeremy and then Jeremy won immunity.

[00:45:27] So then it sort of like doubled back to like, okay, well it was going to be Josh or Jeremy and then Jeremy safe. So.

[00:45:32] Right. No, that makes sense. That makes sense. So it's a little bit like, ah, we already did this.

[00:45:38] There's not that much new things to strategize about. Sure. Like the world has not changed that much other than Jacqueline getting really, uh, getting the ick.

[00:45:47] Yeah. Brendan was going to go home. Then Joe Dowdle's leg fell off and then Brendan just went home anyway. Right. Like it's like that.

[00:45:56] Yep. All right. And Keith nail, uh, does tell Missy to her face that she doesn't do anything around the camp.

[00:46:05] She doesn't get a wood. And they're like, okay, well what do we do? And Keith's like, I'm voting Baylor.

[00:46:11] It's like, yo, that's her mom.

[00:46:15] Mm-hmm. Don't say that.

[00:46:17] Do you say my daughter's name to me?

[00:46:20] That's my kid.

[00:46:21] That's my kid.

[00:46:23] Keep your, keep my kid's name out of your effing mouth.

[00:46:29] All right. So we go to tribal council and, um, we see, there's a good moment where the farting and spitting, uh, comes up and Missy is like, I've never heard so much farting and spitting talk.

[00:46:45] And you know, Oh, all right. Missy now, come on. We're, we're not at the Hilton.

[00:46:50] Mm-hmm. Yeah. We're, we're burping and farting and spitting is outlawed.

[00:46:57] Famously. You walk through the doors at the Hilton. You go to your room. You're not allowed to burp or fart.

[00:47:02] Yep.

[00:47:03] Yeah.

[00:47:04] I love Keith out here trying to defend it.

[00:47:06] Come on. Uh, he's, he's trying. And then also,

[00:47:10] Come on, Missy. Everybody does it.

[00:47:11] Yeah. Reed takes a moment to take the stage and tries to give his stump speech of why it should be John.

[00:47:21] Yeah.

[00:47:23] What'd you think of Reed's speech?

[00:47:25] I don't remember it.

[00:47:26] He basically is like, uh, John, Jacqueline, are you really gonna go with the singles? Don't you just think they're gonna get rid of you?

[00:47:34] Yeah. Yeah. Trying, doing stuff.

[00:47:38] Yeah.

[00:47:38] You know, I, what I really like is when, uh, uh, like Jeff was like, John, Jacqueline, you guys are in the power seat. Isn't that great? And John's like, yeah, but it's also kind of scary.

[00:47:48] It's a lot of pressure.

[00:47:50] Yeah.

[00:47:52] Jeremy's like, you know, pushes back. You're like, come on. You're like, you're not gonna vote out John next. Come on.

[00:47:58] Yeah.

[00:47:59] Yeah.

[00:48:00] Yeah.

[00:48:01] Jeremy, Jeremy's Jeremy's in good, in good shape right now. He's got that idol. Doesn't seem like he was aware that he was in trouble before.

[00:48:09] I'll tell you one thing. Jeremy got that damn air idol.

[00:48:12] Mm-hmm.

[00:48:13] That's right.

[00:48:14] Okay.

[00:48:15] And then Josh goes home.

[00:48:17] Josh gets voted out.

[00:48:18] Uh, it's a close vote, but John and Jacqueline send them, send them back and send them to the house as they call it.

[00:48:26] As a kid now would say. All right. So let's talk a little bit about what it was like in real time.

[00:48:31] Yeah.

[00:48:31] Just, uh, while we're on the subject of, uh, perhaps on burping and farting, but certainly in an episode that features taco overload, I think that Josh's final word to the group is I'm going to eat a cheeseburger for all of you.

[00:48:46] Okay.

[00:48:46] Uh, and then he leaves. And I guess my question is, was that like, I'm going to eat like one cheeseburger in honor of all of you?

[00:48:54] Or did he mean that he's going to eat one cheeseburger per person?

[00:48:57] Maybe a day.

[00:48:58] Yeah.

[00:48:59] Every day I'll have a burger and I'll, and I'll assign it to a different one of you.

[00:49:04] Yeah.

[00:49:04] And tribute.

[00:49:05] Okay.

[00:49:05] Even the pre-mergers.

[00:49:06] All right. Let's talk about-

[00:49:08] How many burgers could you eat in a day?

[00:49:09] In a day?

[00:49:10] Yeah.

[00:49:10] Probably like, uh, how big are the burgers? Are they like the survivor burger from this week?

[00:49:14] And like McDonald's, the core pounder?

[00:49:16] Let's, let's, let's do a couple of different permutations. So let's do a survivor big beefy burger like that.

[00:49:21] How many of those could you take down in a day?

[00:49:23] I don't know. Maybe like two or three.

[00:49:26] Yeah. Okay. So like, if it was like a breakfast, lunch, dinner,

[00:49:28] Am I trying to set a record or is it just like, uh, I'm just eating when I'm hungry?

[00:49:32] Yeah.

[00:49:33] Always. So like you're being competitive right now.

[00:49:35] Yeah.

[00:49:35] So you think three, three of those?

[00:49:37] Probably two of those. Um, I mean, those were big. Those were like, I feel like a pound burger.

[00:49:42] Yeah. Yeah. Those are bricks.

[00:49:44] Mm-hmm. Yeah.

[00:49:45] I don't know.

[00:49:46] I think if I could eat five quarter pounders in a day.

[00:49:49] Yeah.

[00:49:49] Yeah. Are you a White Castle guy?

[00:49:51] Uh, not typically, but I, I've.

[00:49:55] How many, how many, how many sacks of White Castle burgers?

[00:49:58] How many are in a sack?

[00:50:00] I think it's like a lot.

[00:50:01] Mm-hmm. You'll be burping and farting, uh, if you go to White Castle.

[00:50:04] Definitely. And it will not be great.

[00:50:07] Yeah.

[00:50:08] Yeah.

[00:50:09] But there used to be when I grew up and I grew up in the town of East Meadow.

[00:50:14] Yes.

[00:50:15] Before my parents moved to Wanta and there was a White Castle that was there.

[00:50:19] I'm sure it must not still be there.

[00:50:21] Was that on 110?

[00:50:23] Not sure.

[00:50:24] Near the Walt Whitman Mall?

[00:50:26] No, no, no.

[00:50:27] I don't think so.

[00:50:27] There was a, there was a White Castle there that we frequented.

[00:50:30] Yeah.

[00:50:30] Uh, and my friends would all get it.

[00:50:32] I'd be like, what are you guys doing?

[00:50:33] It was very cheap.

[00:50:34] Like you could get like a bunch of stuff.

[00:50:36] Like, uh, yeah, I'll take the onion rings.

[00:50:38] That'll be 39 cents.

[00:50:39] You could load up.

[00:50:40] Mm-hmm.

[00:50:42] Bargain bin.

[00:50:43] Yeah.

[00:50:43] A burger is like 40 cents.

[00:50:45] And like, it was, this wasn't like 1952.

[00:50:49] Yeah.

[00:50:49] It's tempting, but you know, it's very, it's very cheap.

[00:50:53] But it was like the late eighties.

[00:50:55] At what cost?

[00:50:56] Yeah.

[00:50:57] All right.

[00:50:57] So let's talk about what happened on the podcast.

[00:51:00] Steven Fishback, he loved Josh Canfield.

[00:51:03] He was devastated that Josh got voted out.

[00:51:07] Big Josh guy.

[00:51:09] He was a big Josh guy.

[00:51:10] Future member of the Wine and Cheese.

[00:51:12] Yes.

[00:51:13] Yes.

[00:51:13] So, uh, they, they had, they had that together.

[00:51:16] Uh, yeah.

[00:51:17] I mean, I was upset too.

[00:51:19] I like, it was the first survivor Josh.

[00:51:21] There's only been one other since then, I think.

[00:51:23] Mm-hmm.

[00:51:25] Okay.

[00:51:27] Um, uh, according to Danielle, Rob is turned off by Alec, Keith and West, but it's still

[00:51:34] a big Jeremy fan.

[00:51:36] Okay.

[00:51:37] Well that tracks.

[00:51:38] I think that, uh, you know, 10 years greater Rob and 10 years ago, Rob, I don't think,

[00:51:46] um, I don't know.

[00:51:48] I don't think perspective on this one's going to shift all that much.

[00:51:51] Yeah.

[00:51:51] I guess I was very hard on Keith's nail in this episode.

[00:51:54] I was not finding him funny in 2014.

[00:51:57] You were not finding him funny.

[00:51:59] No.

[00:51:59] Did not, did not find him funny.

[00:52:01] Uh, I think I probably.

[00:52:02] I do, I do think that your journey, if I'm recalling this right, that your journey with Keith is not

[00:52:08] totally dissimilar to like my journey with Wanda, where like I started out not being super

[00:52:14] into Wanda and then through a subsequent Wanda exposure, uh, of recurring jokes with Wanda.

[00:52:20] She became, uh, very near and dear to my heart.

[00:52:23] I think like the more Keith exposure we get as we go, I think the more you end up enjoying him as

[00:52:30] I think this is his worst episode.

[00:52:32] Uh, so far or the whole thing?

[00:52:34] So far of the whole thing.

[00:52:36] Uh, that just the, uh, the, the constant, like, uh, commenting to Missy about Baylor.

[00:52:43] No, that's not, that's not great.

[00:52:45] But, uh, all of the stuff at the taco bar is really funny.

[00:52:49] Yeah.

[00:52:49] It's very good.

[00:52:50] All right.

[00:52:51] Who do you think Steven gives the fishy to?

[00:52:54] Uh, Jeremy.

[00:52:55] No, he's really, he's really on one.

[00:52:58] John Mish.

[00:52:59] Steven gives the fishy to casting for finding this many people who lack social awareness.

[00:53:07] How about that?

[00:53:11] I mean, thank God, at least like 10 years later, Steven doesn't just give out these like arbitrary

[00:53:15] and reductive fishies.

[00:53:17] Well, also worth keeping in mind at this moment in time, uh, that fishback is probably already

[00:53:22] like in like a little bit of like the second chance mix.

[00:53:25] No, it's not even a glimmer in the eye of the show.

[00:53:29] Right.

[00:53:30] We're close.

[00:53:31] We're very close to it.

[00:53:32] Like I'm trying to think.

[00:53:33] I guess it's possible.

[00:53:34] They have to be thinking about it already.

[00:53:36] But, uh, so, so the fish man, I think like at, well, how about this?

[00:53:41] Whether or not he's in the mix for second chance, fishback still wants to play one more time.

[00:53:46] Sure.

[00:53:48] Fishback no longer wants to play one more time.

[00:53:50] So he doesn't have to pull any punches, uh, you know, but like that's a punch pulled,

[00:53:54] I think is to give the fishy to casting.

[00:53:56] Interesting.

[00:53:57] Okay.

[00:53:57] It's possible.

[00:53:58] It's possible.

[00:53:59] It is November.

[00:54:01] So the punch also would make sense of like why he'd be like, Oh, Josh is so great.

[00:54:04] Cause he's a lock to come back and I want to get that.

[00:54:06] Yeah.

[00:54:07] That sounds like something he would do.

[00:54:08] That's like, even that sounds like Steven.

[00:54:09] Okay.

[00:54:10] All right.

[00:54:12] Let's, uh, see what interesting from, um, okay.

[00:54:16] How about this?

[00:54:17] Okay.

[00:54:18] Um, Rob asked Steven, if Josh is a survivor, all-star Steven says there is no all-star season

[00:54:25] he has heard about in one to two years.

[00:54:28] Uh, it will be too late to cast a lot of the recent players.

[00:54:32] Uh, Steven's pleaded casting is to give a full all-star season with the recent players.

[00:54:37] Uh, Rob says it seems like survivor is off the true all-star seasons.

[00:54:42] Uh, Steven wants some of the players to come back and true all-stars not theme says, uh,

[00:54:48] uh, since heroes versus villains, uh, and hold on says since heroes versus villains and

[00:54:54] then a random old person like Sue Hawk, Steven says there's no, uh, three timers, two timers

[00:54:59] only two timers only.

[00:55:02] Yeah.

[00:55:02] So Steven might've been, might've been tapped in, especially when he says, uh, that there

[00:55:07] is no all-star season he has heard about in the next one to two years.

[00:55:11] Come on.

[00:55:13] Yeah.

[00:55:13] Steven.

[00:55:15] Okay.

[00:55:16] Fish.

[00:55:17] All right.

[00:55:18] Fishy.

[00:55:19] So I talked to Josh.

[00:55:21] Yeah.

[00:55:22] Um, I did as well in my interview with him.

[00:55:25] He addresses one of the things we just talked about that.

[00:55:27] Like, yeah, he, it wasn't shown a lot, but he used to talk a lot of strategy with Jacqueline.

[00:55:32] Uh, so he felt like decently good.

[00:55:35] Uh, but he felt that going into tribal, he was 95% sure he was going home.

[00:55:40] Yes.

[00:55:40] He said John's demeanor changed, uh, after XL says, uh, he wasn't secretive about talking

[00:55:46] to Jeremy.

[00:55:47] Yeah.

[00:55:47] And then I asked him, uh, like, uh, what did you say to Wes and Alec?

[00:55:53] Like, what did you do?

[00:55:54] Yeah.

[00:55:54] Uh, and he said that, uh, like these people are going to be on the jury.

[00:55:58] If you vote them out, you want them to vote for you.

[00:56:00] Uh, and like, they tried to say that to Alec and Wes, but I guess like sense didn't, didn't

[00:56:09] go through.

[00:56:10] Hmm.

[00:56:11] Oh, um, on the recap, uh, RS joined us.

[00:56:15] Uh, you guys randomly cast Charlie and the chocolate factory with the San Juan del Sur cast.

[00:56:19] Okay.

[00:56:20] Are you interested to know who's who?

[00:56:22] Yeah.

[00:56:22] Wait, did that happen?

[00:56:24] Shut up.

[00:56:25] I'm just reading this in the notes.

[00:56:27] Shut up.

[00:56:27] No way.

[00:56:28] No way.

[00:56:29] No.

[00:56:31] Come on.

[00:56:31] You know, it's very sad when I feel like, oh, I've grown so much in 10 years and like

[00:56:36] no, and then still have exactly the same.

[00:56:41] Oh man.

[00:56:42] Okay.

[00:56:42] How many of the same jokes have we made already?

[00:56:45] I mean, God only knows what we did in the evolution strategy.

[00:56:48] This might just already had this exact conversation.

[00:56:51] It's totally possible.

[00:56:52] Yeah.

[00:56:53] Please let us know how many times that Josh and I are having a new conversation now.

[00:56:58] And it's a conversation we already had.

[00:57:00] I think we're having a few.

[00:57:02] I do think we're having a few for sure.

[00:57:04] Mm hmm.

[00:57:05] And how many times are we, are we arguing opposite points than we were 10 years ago?

[00:57:09] That I would be very interested in.

[00:57:11] What am I, what if I like completely 1000% reversed course?

[00:57:16] All right.

[00:57:16] This is okay.

[00:57:17] This is thank you, Josh Green for detailing who RS and I cast for Charlie and Chocolate

[00:57:24] Factory.

[00:57:25] Just to be clear.

[00:57:26] Is it only the San Juan del Sur cast members?

[00:57:29] Okay.

[00:57:30] Uh, Charlie Bucket is not Wes.

[00:57:33] Uh, it is Josh.

[00:57:35] That makes sense.

[00:57:36] Uh, can I just get the one that I'm, I gotta be able to just like, out of the sky.

[00:57:41] Uh, Baylor is Baruca.

[00:57:43] That is correct.

[00:57:44] Uh, Mike TV is Reed.

[00:57:46] I don't really see that.

[00:57:47] I mean, they're both actors.

[00:57:49] Augustus Gloop is Wes.

[00:57:51] Okay.

[00:57:51] Yeah.

[00:57:52] Uh huh.

[00:57:52] Yeah.

[00:57:53] Violet is one of the twenties.

[00:57:55] Okay.

[00:57:55] And Grandpa Joe is Keith.

[00:57:57] That, that, that, that we had, that we had to.

[00:57:59] Yeah.

[00:58:00] Okay.

[00:58:01] Okay.

[00:58:01] But then, um, so RS was on, he came to my house for the recap and the voicemails.

[00:58:07] Was he hawking those hats?

[00:58:09] The Tundra hats?

[00:58:09] I don't know if he was doing that yet.

[00:58:11] Where were we at with Tundra hats?

[00:58:12] I think we were already past that.

[00:58:13] Yeah.

[00:58:15] Do you think you could still buy one?

[00:58:18] From RS?

[00:58:19] I don't think so.

[00:58:20] Do you think he still has any?

[00:58:21] He might.

[00:58:22] I mean, we'll see.

[00:58:25] I feel like we could, uh, uh, take those off his hands pretty cleanly and put them up in

[00:58:31] the RHAP store and, uh, turn a profit.

[00:58:34] Like these are the last of the, of the fabled Tundra hats.

[00:58:39] Um, apparently we talked about, uh, RS farting in X-Men.

[00:58:43] And then Daniel linked to a video of RS farting.

[00:58:51] Like on the show?

[00:58:53] Yeah.

[00:58:54] Uh, so here's the link.

[00:58:55] I guess we talked about this with RS on the episode.

[00:58:58] Uh, did, did, did RS fart?

[00:59:00] Okay.

[00:59:01] Yeah.

[00:59:01] Yeah.

[00:59:01] Okay.

[00:59:03] It was amazing.

[00:59:08] That's why I don't like you.

[00:59:10] Come on.

[00:59:10] Come back here.

[00:59:11] No.

[00:59:11] It's toxic.

[00:59:14] It's toxic.

[00:59:15] Um, if you didn't watch the YouTube version of this podcast, so you missed the video of

[00:59:22] RS farting.

[00:59:23] The best part, and this could just be like the brilliance of like the, of the editing, but

[00:59:29] like he does like the fart convulsion, right?

[00:59:32] Like, like you move a little bit and then the fart comes out.

[00:59:35] That's great.

[00:59:36] Brilliant comic time.

[00:59:37] Yeah.

[00:59:38] Unbelievable.

[00:59:39] Um, also Danielle highlights RS and Rob highlighted the vegetarian option.

[00:59:44] When Jeff went through the talk options, he's like, we've got beef, chicken, vegetarian.

[00:59:51] I'm, uh, unfortunately for Kyle, that option was not at the survivor auction.

[00:59:56] No Buffalo cauliflower would have been a nice thing to do for Kyle.

[01:00:00] Mm-hmm said he was stuck.

[01:00:02] Just taking shots of blue cheese.

[01:00:04] RS also said that he would call the wambulance for Baylor.

[01:00:08] Yeah, that tracks.

[01:00:10] He should be in the back seat.

[01:00:12] Who's driving?

[01:00:14] I don't know.

[01:00:15] Also, this is the video where, uh, Vetus, you should totally come to yoga comes from.

[01:00:22] Uh-huh.

[01:00:23] Yeah.

[01:00:23] Right.

[01:00:24] And that was like, did he do, what did he do that for?

[01:00:27] It was it for his yoga video?

[01:00:29] Like he was trying to like, uh, hype up his yoga classes.

[01:00:33] Mm-hmm.

[01:00:34] Vetus.

[01:00:35] Um, I'm not sure.

[01:00:36] We don't know.

[01:00:37] Remember the context of.

[01:00:38] Let me see if I, let me see if Danielle has that.

[01:00:40] You should totally come to yoga.

[01:00:42] Vetus, you should totally come to yoga.

[01:00:46] Here.

[01:00:46] Like, Vetus, you should totally come to yoga.

[01:00:53] Vetus had a yoga video on Vimeo where it made Rob emotional, but RS uses a way to make a sticky situation pun after Vetus brought up heroin.

[01:01:01] I love that.

[01:01:02] I love that it didn't make Otis emotional, uh, that he was fine, but Rob, you were emotional.

[01:01:08] Mm-hmm.

[01:01:09] Yeah.

[01:01:10] All right.

[01:01:11] All right.

[01:01:12] There we go.

[01:01:13] I think that's, I think that's everything.

[01:01:14] Um, yeah.

[01:01:17] One other thing from, uh, survivor 47 about the, the, the auction.

[01:01:22] You have any thoughts on that, Josh?

[01:01:23] Oh, I loved it.

[01:01:25] I thought the auction was very fun.

[01:01:26] I, I think, uh, you like the new era auctions.

[01:01:29] Yeah.

[01:01:29] I really liked the new era auction.

[01:01:30] I guess I am a little concerned after like there was a clue stuffed in the French fries that like, is that going to re-break the auction?

[01:01:38] What are you going to do?

[01:01:39] Like, Oh, I'm going to bid on that.

[01:01:40] It looks like it has.

[01:01:41] Exactly.

[01:01:41] Like, I don't think so.

[01:01:43] I think like now Jeff could just say there might be something in here, but everything you're bidding on is either food or fish eyeballs.

[01:01:49] Yeah.

[01:01:49] Next thing they got to do is put the idle clue in the fish eyeball.

[01:01:54] Yes.

[01:01:54] Yes.

[01:01:55] Yes.

[01:01:56] Yes.

[01:01:56] Yes.

[01:01:57] Like.

[01:01:58] Yes.

[01:01:59] Should say like on the plate, like don't react, but the idle clue is in the center of the fish eyeball.

[01:02:07] Yes.

[01:02:08] Yes.

[01:02:08] This is a hidden immunity fish eyeball.

[01:02:13] Yeah.

[01:02:14] Did you see Saul ended up really cleaning up at the auction?

[01:02:17] Saul ended up getting this.

[01:02:19] That's how you eat a pie on survival right there.

[01:02:23] Did you wish that Saul asked everybody if they were stoked on some pie?

[01:02:28] You guys stoked on pie?

[01:02:29] Saul was stoked on pie for sure.

[01:02:32] He was stoked beyond belief.

[01:02:35] Yeah.

[01:02:36] Saul made out like a bandit.

[01:02:38] Yeah.

[01:02:38] Did you like that they gave Saul the whipped cream and let him whipped cream his own pie?

[01:02:43] I appreciated that they did that rather than have it be pre-creamed because like you should

[01:02:49] be able to gauge how much of this is going to agree or disagree with your system out here.

[01:02:55] Also, the act of even if you don't like whipped cream, everybody loves the act of spraying.

[01:03:03] That's half the fun.

[01:03:04] Yep.

[01:03:05] Like whipped cream is fine.

[01:03:06] It's fine.

[01:03:07] But that, yes, that part.

[01:03:09] Should Saul have done his tag on the pie instead of 47?

[01:03:14] Like what should he have done?

[01:03:16] SSA.

[01:03:17] Wow.

[01:03:19] Wow.

[01:03:19] Yeah.

[01:03:21] What would you, would you like tag R-H-A-P?

[01:03:25] Hashtag.

[01:03:26] Yeah.

[01:03:27] What is that?

[01:03:28] Is that tic-tac-toe?

[01:03:30] What is that?

[01:03:30] That would require, I do think like now we're talking like four letters there.

[01:03:35] Like that requires like some depth still.

[01:03:37] Yeah.

[01:03:38] Big pie.

[01:03:39] Like either way, you need a bigger pie.

[01:03:40] You'd like a crumb cake or something that's a little like more rectangular.

[01:03:44] You like a crumb cake?

[01:03:45] I've had some good ones.

[01:03:46] I don't know.

[01:03:47] A crumb cake with whipped cream?

[01:03:48] Yeah, I guess.

[01:03:49] Yeah.

[01:03:49] Why not?

[01:03:50] Yeah.

[01:03:50] Whipped cream goes with most things.

[01:03:51] All right.

[01:03:53] Yeah.

[01:03:55] All right.

[01:03:55] Anything else, Josh?

[01:03:58] No.

[01:03:58] By the way, Josh Wiggler and I talked about the movie She's All That the other day.

[01:04:02] Oh, we certainly did.

[01:04:05] We Rachel Lee Cooked with Chappelle on nothing but Netflix, trying to get to the bottom of

[01:04:12] the very important question.

[01:04:13] Speaking of Rachel Lee Cooked, did you catch this from this week?

[01:04:17] Here's Genevieve.

[01:04:19] Rachel's my ultimate preference to go home, but there are many different cooks in the kitchen.

[01:04:24] Too many cooks.

[01:04:26] Too many cooks.

[01:04:28] Too many Rachel Lee Cooks.

[01:04:29] But not enough podcasts in which you, me, and Chappelle try to map the plot of She's

[01:04:37] All That onto the ongoing saga known as Survivor 47.

[01:04:43] It was a very fun podcast that we strongly recommend you all listen to.

[01:04:47] Idea for a new sequel.

[01:04:48] It's called Missy's All That.

[01:04:51] Missy's All That.

[01:04:52] Do you want to rewatch She's All That and see if it maps onto Missy's story?

[01:04:56] When she goes back on Second Chance.

[01:04:57] A makeover.

[01:04:59] Yeah.

[01:04:59] Yeah.

[01:05:00] If they second chance to Missy, Missy's All That.

[01:05:06] We're doing it.

[01:05:07] Miss, Miss She's All That?

[01:05:09] Yeah.

[01:05:10] Like she's got like, she's like has the sash and she's Miss She's All That.

[01:05:14] He was also in Nicaragua.

[01:05:17] Yeah.

[01:05:18] There you go.

[01:05:18] All right.

[01:05:19] Josh, what's coming up for you?

[01:05:21] Lots going on here on RHAP, specifically in the We Know Scripted TV sector.

[01:05:27] The Penguin on HBO just wrapped up with a pretty crazy finale.

[01:05:33] I saw people saying that Penguin is the best season of television ever.

[01:05:38] I think that that's a pretty wild thing to say.

[01:05:41] I saw that headline today.

[01:05:44] Could you tell me who wrote it so that I may have words?

[01:05:49] It was good.

[01:05:50] The people who loved it really did love it.

[01:05:52] And that includes Mike and Grace, who had really great coverage of Penguin all season long in our We Know Comics feed.

[01:06:00] The HBO Sunday Night Party, though, it continues as we're going to be getting into Dune Prophecy, a prequel to the Dune movies.

[01:06:11] Did you Dune?

[01:06:12] Have you?

[01:06:12] No, I've never Duned.

[01:06:14] You haven't Duned?

[01:06:15] I haven't Duned movies.

[01:06:17] I haven't Duned.

[01:06:18] I would love for you to Dune.

[01:06:19] Yeah.

[01:06:20] Where should I start?

[01:06:21] I don't even know.

[01:06:21] Like what Dune?

[01:06:22] Do you have to watch like the 1984 Dune?

[01:06:26] No.

[01:06:26] You certainly do not have.

[01:06:27] David Lynch would, in fact, prefer you not to watch it.

[01:06:30] What Dune do I do?

[01:06:31] You Dune Part 1 and Dune Part 2, both on Max, I believe.

[01:06:37] Yeah.

[01:06:37] And that's all you need to Dune.

[01:06:39] Dune Prophecy, you don't even need to have done that to watch Dune Prophecy, is my understanding.

[01:06:44] It is a prequel set a thousand or so years before Dune.

[01:06:49] Is Dune the future or the past?

[01:06:52] Is it Earth?

[01:06:54] No, it's not Earth.

[01:06:55] I do think it's the same.

[01:06:57] It is like in our universe, I think.

[01:07:00] And I think it's like radically in the future.

[01:07:02] But I'm not 100% sure on that.

[01:07:04] I'm not a massive Dune expert.

[01:07:06] I've read the book, the first book.

[01:07:07] I've read some of the second book.

[01:07:10] I have a pin in it.

[01:07:10] I haven't finished it.

[01:07:11] Do I seem like a Dooney?

[01:07:13] No.

[01:07:14] But I would love for you to try it.

[01:07:17] I would love for you to try it.

[01:07:18] But you don't seem like a Dooney to me at all.

[01:07:20] No.

[01:07:20] Not at all.

[01:07:22] Annie!

[01:07:24] You Dooney!

[01:07:26] Anyway, we're going to have Dune Prophecy coverage on We Know Scripted.

[01:07:30] Taron, Grace, myself, we're going to be talking about it.

[01:07:34] Early scouting report says it's very Game of Thrones adjacent.

[01:07:39] Okay.

[01:07:39] So if you're a Thronesian, you might want to become a Dooney.

[01:07:44] Okay.

[01:07:45] All right.

[01:07:46] In the meantime, I'll be back on Wednesday night to talk about episode nine of Survivor 47

[01:07:54] with Kelly Nalbanzy and one of Josh's favorites.

[01:07:57] I love Kelly.

[01:07:58] I think she's great.

[01:07:59] She did the option in Survivor 45.

[01:07:59] I was also saying, what the hell, guys?

[01:08:01] Also a victim of the Margarita curse.

[01:08:04] Mm-hmm.

[01:08:04] Yeah.

[01:08:05] Indeed.

[01:08:05] Indeed.

[01:08:06] Okay.

[01:08:06] So I will talk with her after the episode coming up on 945 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday.

[01:08:14] Hope to see you there.

[01:08:15] Make sure you subscribe to WeKnowSurvivor.com.

[01:08:17] Take care, everybody.

[01:08:18] Have a good one.

[01:08:18] Bye.

[01:08:19] Bye.

[01:08:19] Bye.

[01:08:20] Bye.

[01:08:20] Bye.
