[00:01:07] [SPEAKER_05]: It was 10 years ago. I promised Josh Wiggler we were to do a countdown. I forgot. It was 10 years ago on a night just like this that there was a sound that sounded like well played.

[00:01:27] [SPEAKER_05]: And John Rocker got voted out of Survivor San Juan del Sur. And that happened 10 years ago today. October 8th, 2014.

[00:01:37] [SPEAKER_05]: And we're back to talk about episode 3 of Survivor San Juan del Sur with Josh Wiggler. Josh, how are you?

[00:01:42] [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, I'm so good. Gosh, it was really great to watch that happen again.

[00:01:48] [SPEAKER_08]: Yep.

[00:01:49] [SPEAKER_08]: Really, really fun. 10 years later. Also, I'm sure it was like, okay. And I think we even talked about this the other week.

[00:01:58] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:01:59] [SPEAKER_08]: John Rocker. Braves. Yeah?

[00:02:03] [SPEAKER_05]: He was a pitcher of that famously.

[00:02:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes. John Rocker for the Atlanta Braves. And I believe the Atlanta Braves have said, John Rocker is what we're all about.

[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Is that what they've said? I think so. You know, as a lifelong Mets fan, that's the vibe that I get of John Rocker. He is us and we are him still to this day.

[00:02:28] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_05]: That is what I'm... I don't know if they've said that.

[00:02:31] [SPEAKER_08]: I just want to connect dots here. Okay?

[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_08]: Yes.

[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_08]: This is what I'm attempting to do. It's a dot connection.

[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_08]: John Rocker, Braves.

[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_08]: Mets, Braves rivalry, right? A thing?

[00:02:41] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:02:44] [SPEAKER_08]: Rob Sestinito, avatar for the Mets. John Rocker, avatar for the Braves. The Mets win when John Rocker goes home 10 years ago.

[00:02:52] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Did the Mets win?

[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_05]: You are the Mets. You are the Mets. You are the Mets.

[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_05]: You're Mr. Mets.

[00:02:59] [SPEAKER_05]: 2014 was a particularly interesting year in Mets history, but 2015.

[00:03:05] [SPEAKER_08]: You, in this case, are Mr. Met. You win. Mr. Braves loses.

[00:03:12] [SPEAKER_08]: Put it in the books.

[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_08]: And then 10 years later, wasn't there very recently, like, very contentious Mets-Braves stuff to get the Mets into the playoffs?

[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_08]: Yes. Yes.

[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_05]: The Mets and Braves actually split a doubleheader last week on Monday to both put the Mets and the Braves into...

[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_05]: But the more exciting game was definitely game one.

[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_05]: And Francisco Lindor's home run to come back from behind after the Mets were behind.

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_05]: But that's another story.

[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_08]: So all I'm trying to do here is connect 2014 to 2024, roughly a decade.

[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_08]: You know, with a little bit under a decade, these two moments in time.

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Josh, I'm going to blow your mind.

[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_05]: If you're trying to connect the Mets and the Braves, I think you can go back further than 10 years.

[00:04:03] [SPEAKER_05]: That's really...

[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_05]: There's a good 30-year history between the Mets and the Braves at this point.

[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_05]: Is there something like Survivor-y in the 30 years?

[00:04:13] [SPEAKER_05]: No, I don't think Survivor is included, but there's quite a storied history between the Mets and the Braves.

[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_05]: And most of it is bad for the Mets.

[00:04:22] [SPEAKER_08]: Unless you want to do that podcast today.

[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_08]: I do not.

[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_05]: But what we are doing...

[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_05]: In fact, I'm good to never do that podcast of the history of the Mets and the Braves.

[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_08]: I want to just quickly say that 10 years later,

[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_08]: Josh Wiggler underrated for knowing, like, a little bit about what's going on in the sports.

[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_08]: Okay.

[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_08]: In the sports sector.

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:04:43] [SPEAKER_08]: 10 years later, from October 8th, 2014, it is now October 8th, 2024.

[00:04:51] [SPEAKER_08]: Here in the year 2024, in which the 47th season of Survivor is airing.

[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_08]: It's happening.

[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_08]: It's real.

[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_08]: Here we are, not in an off-season.

[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_08]: In playoff season, in fact, doing a rewatch of a 10-year-old Survivor season.

[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_08]: We're three weeks into it.

[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_08]: We're still doing it.

[00:05:12] [SPEAKER_08]: Okay.

[00:05:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Look, we asked people, do you want us to come back?

[00:05:16] [SPEAKER_05]: And people said, yes, we need this podcast week after week.

[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, we're back.

[00:05:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Where are you?

[00:05:20] [SPEAKER_05]: We're back.

[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_05]: We're back.

[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_08]: We're back.

[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_08]: You here?

[00:05:23] [SPEAKER_08]: Where are you at?

[00:05:24] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm excited for this one.

[00:05:26] [SPEAKER_08]: I was talking to our beloved Chappelle earlier today about how the beautiful thing about doing this podcast has been just reaffirming that 10 years on, Survivor San Juan del Sur has now achieved like stone-cold classic status.

[00:05:46] [SPEAKER_08]: It is not just like a great season or an underrated season, Rob.

[00:05:51] [SPEAKER_08]: It's now, I think, a classic season.

[00:05:55] [SPEAKER_08]: We have so much Survivor under our belts that the 29th season of Survivor, I think we can classify as a classic.

[00:06:03] [SPEAKER_08]: Okay.

[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_08]: Sure.

[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_08]: And I think this episode helps to solidify that deal.

[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_08]: Some hilarious gold in here.

[00:06:10] [SPEAKER_08]: Some offensive material in here as well.

[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_08]: And a historic boot for not Kenny Powers, but John Rocker himself.

[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_08]: He's effing out.

[00:06:23] [SPEAKER_08]: He's effing out.

[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_08]: We're still effing in it.

[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_05]: We're still effing in this.

[00:06:28] [SPEAKER_05]: Three weeks in.

[00:06:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:06:29] [SPEAKER_05]: People have said that they are enjoying this walk back in memory lane.

[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_05]: Although I do have to say that I will require a constant notification that you are still on board and doing this.

[00:06:46] [SPEAKER_05]: You need affirmation?

[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't need it necessarily from-

[00:06:50] [SPEAKER_05]: Valid age?

[00:06:51] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't need it for my ego.

[00:06:53] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't want to, like, you know, for people to be talking about me in the context of maybe on episode three or at least episode two of Survivor 47 to how, you know, I don't want this to be said about me.

[00:07:16] [SPEAKER_03]: I've met a variety of different kinds of men on dating apps and specifically for Andy, you can just tell it's giving toxic clingy boyfriend.

[00:07:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Whoa.

[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_05]: That's not what I want to be giving.

[00:07:29] [SPEAKER_08]: It's not like-

[00:07:31] [SPEAKER_08]: Are you, like, saying that your San Juan del Sur's toxic clingy boyfriend?

[00:07:38] [SPEAKER_08]: Is that what you're talking about?

[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_05]: No, no.

[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_05]: I just want to say, like, I need constant validation that, Rob, this is a productive use of your time.

[00:07:46] [SPEAKER_05]: It is.

[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_05]: That's what I need.

[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_05]: That's what I need the validation for.

[00:07:50] [SPEAKER_08]: Can I validate you on the podcast?

[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_08]: Yes.

[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_08]: This is a productive use of your time.

[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_08]: First and foremost, it's a guaranteed hour every single week with your best friend, Josh Wiggler.

[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_08]: Yes.

[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_08]: Sing the bell.

[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_08]: Hit it.

[00:08:01] [SPEAKER_08]: Number two, most of our best stuff, Rob, has, like, emerged from some sort of primordial ooze of an idea.

[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_08]: And we had an idea to just, like, let's get together and talk about some stuff.

[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_08]: And then, like, as we do it, we were, like, bubbling and boiling our witch's brew.

[00:08:20] [SPEAKER_08]: Bubble, bubble.

[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_08]: That's a couple seasons away.

[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_08]: Like Abby and Sierra.

[00:08:23] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it is.

[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_08]: And then, like, from the little stew, the evolution of strategy pops out or post-show recaps pops out or we know scripted TV pops out.

[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_08]: Who knows what's going to pop out from here?

[00:08:35] [SPEAKER_08]: And also, who knows?

[00:08:37] [SPEAKER_08]: Maybe this is the brew.

[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_08]: It's possible this is the brew.

[00:08:41] [SPEAKER_08]: I can tell you one thing.

[00:08:42] [SPEAKER_08]: It's productive use of your time because you're at least making me very happy.

[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, good.

[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, I'm happy that we're doing that.

[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_05]: And so episode three is all about John Rocker and how ultimately he has a bit of a downfall here.

[00:08:59] [SPEAKER_05]: The players have soured on John Rocker.

[00:09:03] [SPEAKER_05]: He, I think, put his best foot forward for a couple of episodes.

[00:09:06] [SPEAKER_05]: But now I think the mask has been lifted.

[00:09:10] [SPEAKER_05]: Mask off.

[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_05]: On John Rocker.

[00:09:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Pitchers don't wear masks.

[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_05]: Pitchers don't wear masks.

[00:09:15] [SPEAKER_08]: Catchers do.

[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_08]: Was that his mistake coming into this game masked?

[00:09:21] [SPEAKER_08]: Should he just, like, stormed the mound?

[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay, then that's what I thought you were going to say.

[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_05]: He did not play for Washington.

[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_05]: He played in the same division, ultimately.

[00:09:33] [SPEAKER_08]: Although they were exposed.

[00:09:35] [SPEAKER_08]: He's part of the Strong Boys Alliance.

[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_08]: Not a different kind of boys alliance.

[00:09:39] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know, actually.

[00:09:41] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:09:41] [SPEAKER_08]: You know, you could pick or choose.

[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_08]: But should he have just, like, come in here, like, Rocker raged out and just be like, yeah, I'm with John Rocker.

[00:09:51] [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, John Rocker.

[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, John Rocker.

[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Did homosexual stuff in my past.

[00:09:55] [SPEAKER_05]: Famously, like, he would run in from the bullpen.

[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, you know, like, in the 70s, they had, like, a cart that would bring the pitcher to the mound.

[00:10:04] [SPEAKER_08]: Wait, excuse me?

[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_08]: In the 70s, there was a cart that would take the pitcher to the mound?

[00:10:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:10:12] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know if it was, like, universally, like, a rule.

[00:10:15] [SPEAKER_05]: But I believe that John Rocker was famous for.

[00:10:18] [SPEAKER_05]: You couldn't walk there.

[00:10:18] [SPEAKER_05]: You had to be wheeled?

[00:10:19] [SPEAKER_05]: John Rocker was famous for.

[00:10:21] [SPEAKER_05]: You didn't have to be wheeled.

[00:10:22] [SPEAKER_05]: I think that, like, people, like, it was, like, an attraction.

[00:10:25] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, a car that was, like, a pitcher's helmet or a pitcher's hat or a hat.

[00:10:30] [SPEAKER_05]: It could be anybody's hat.

[00:10:31] [SPEAKER_05]: And then the car was shaped like a hat and it would drive the pitcher to the mound.

[00:10:35] [SPEAKER_08]: Do we need to have, like, a buff car to transport the contestants to challenges on Survivor in the future?

[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_08]: Like, it's just a giant vehicle shaped like a Survivor buff?

[00:10:46] [SPEAKER_05]: Mm-hmm.

[00:10:49] [SPEAKER_05]: Or thumbs down.

[00:10:50] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know how, like, yeah, I guess it would be, like, a head with a buff on it.

[00:10:52] [SPEAKER_05]: But John Rocker would then come into.

[00:10:54] [SPEAKER_08]: It's like a giant Austin Rob head with a buff on it.

[00:10:56] [SPEAKER_08]: I guess it kind of ended up doing it.

[00:10:58] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:10:58] [SPEAKER_05]: And John Rocker would run onto the mound from the bullpen.

[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_08]: He would charge it.

[00:11:05] [SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm.

[00:11:06] [SPEAKER_08]: He would charge it.

[00:11:07] [SPEAKER_08]: Okay.

[00:11:08] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, he's going to run his way right out of the game this week.

[00:11:13] [SPEAKER_08]: And, Justin, further, like, is this season how, if it's echoing anything that's happening in Survivor 47,

[00:11:23] [SPEAKER_08]: maybe, Rob, the Mets fan in you who gets rid of your chief rival, sports rival, here in the third episode of Survivor San Juan del Sur,

[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_08]: perhaps the monkey's paw, one finger curled.

[00:11:39] [SPEAKER_08]: And 10 years later, your hometown hero would have to go home third as well.

[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_08]: Yep.

[00:11:47] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm not trying to say that Asia lost Survivor because of your vendetta from 10 years ago.

[00:11:55] [SPEAKER_08]: But I also don't know that one way or the other for sure.

[00:11:59] [SPEAKER_08]: Right.

[00:11:59] [SPEAKER_08]: Okay.

[00:11:59] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, listen.

[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_05]: You take away for a lot of things.

[00:12:03] [SPEAKER_05]: You don't need to take away.

[00:12:04] [SPEAKER_05]: We had a great excuse to talk about anything but that.

[00:12:07] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm not sure why you chose to go in that particular direction.

[00:12:12] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm just vibing.

[00:12:13] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:12:13] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm just taking it wherever it's going.

[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, let's pick up where we left off here with Survivor San Juan del Sur in episode number three.

[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_05]: And, you know, we saw that John Rocker did seem to have some good intentions of trying to save Val last time out,

[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_05]: but then got frustrated when she didn't play the idol like he assumed that she would.

[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_05]: That being said, that the funny business with Val still like was clocked by Josh Canfield's radar.

[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_08]: Going back and watching this, this episode also specifically is, I think, a really great Josh episode.

[00:12:56] [SPEAKER_08]: And I remember this like starting to emerge during San Juan del Sur like in this early going.

[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_08]: And like the preseason, I really remember that everyone was like very hyped on Reed for whatever reason.

[00:13:06] [SPEAKER_08]: And thought that Josh Spider-Man.

[00:13:08] [SPEAKER_08]: He was Spider-Man.

[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_08]: Like, that's a big deal.

[00:13:10] [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, the MCU is like starting to like come along.

[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_05]: But like, I don't think we've had Civil War.

[00:13:18] [SPEAKER_05]: No, I don't think so quite yet.

[00:13:21] [SPEAKER_08]: No.

[00:13:23] [SPEAKER_08]: When was Civil War?

[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_08]: 2015 or 2016?

[00:13:27] [SPEAKER_08]: 2016.

[00:13:29] [SPEAKER_08]: So, no, we're not quite there yet.

[00:13:31] [SPEAKER_08]: But clearly, Spider-Man's a big deal, but it's very clear in this episode.

[00:13:36] [SPEAKER_08]: The amazing Spider-Man was the most recent Spider-Man that we had.

[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_08]: Andrew Garfield.

[00:13:41] [SPEAKER_08]: And like, while he, I think, plays well 10 years later, I don't know that those movies necessarily do.

[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_08]: Reed is bringing Spider-Man back.

[00:13:50] [SPEAKER_08]: No, he's not.

[00:13:51] [SPEAKER_08]: He's turning off the dark, which is the musical that he was in, which was terrible and got many people killed.

[00:13:58] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't think actually, but maybe?

[00:14:01] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't remember.

[00:14:01] [SPEAKER_08]: Injuries for sure.

[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_08]: Broadway expert Sam Moore might know more details than I do.

[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_08]: Josh is presenting himself to be like a cunning strategist, or at least what amounts for a cunning strategist on San Juan del Sur.

[00:14:14] [SPEAKER_08]: Like, he clocked that like Rocker and Val have never gone off together.

[00:14:19] [SPEAKER_08]: That's weird.

[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_08]: Maybe I should do something about that.

[00:14:23] [SPEAKER_08]: And somehow during all of this is also still able to completely captivate John Rocker's trust while he is like supremely sus of John Rocker this entire time.

[00:14:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:14:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay, so that's going to be a storyline going on as Josh and Baylor, you know, they're sort of like have been like bubbling under the surface a little bit of like this strategic partnership.

[00:14:45] [SPEAKER_05]: It's going to come into a full swing like Spiderman episode.

[00:14:50] [SPEAKER_05]: Meanwhile, over at Hunapu, things are really starting to come into clearer focus in terms of everybody's frustration with Drew.

[00:15:02] [SPEAKER_05]: That there people are working on the shelter and still I guess that that's something that is a common bond between these two episodes of Survivor that we have watched over the last seven days of Survivor players.

[00:15:18] [SPEAKER_05]: In the first week of the game, they are they're working on their shelter and finding it hard to get a good night's sleep.

[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Drew takes a break from working on the palm fronds to take a nap and Natalie F's with him.

[00:15:34] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, she she palm fronds his face.

[00:15:39] [SPEAKER_08]: She palm fronds him.

[00:15:40] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, he doesn't like that.

[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_08]: Andrew's like, what the heck?

[00:15:44] [SPEAKER_05]: I believe that's his exact phrase.

[00:15:46] [SPEAKER_05]: He says, what the heck?

[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_05]: Keith Nail is also disgusted by Drew's behavior and he gives us this quote.

[00:15:55] [SPEAKER_00]: If my son was acting like Drew, you probably don't want to know.

[00:15:58] [SPEAKER_00]: I probably can't say it on camera because I'd get in one of them little.

[00:16:01] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, you know, but proceeds to say it on camera.

[00:16:06] [SPEAKER_05]: We still spank.

[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_05]: We still whoop, whatever you want to call it in the South.

[00:16:09] [SPEAKER_05]: We still spank.

[00:16:10] [SPEAKER_05]: We still whoop.

[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, so that do you think that, uh, it was, was Wes nail recently spanked or whooped?

[00:16:19] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, I don't want to speculate at all on whether or not.

[00:16:24] [SPEAKER_08]: And you're talking about like recently now or recently then?

[00:16:27] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.

[00:16:29] [SPEAKER_08]: I hope he, uh, usually said they still do it.

[00:16:32] [SPEAKER_08]: Wes is the one who does spanking in this episode.

[00:16:35] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, they're going to go head to head in the challenge.

[00:16:37] [SPEAKER_08]: It's a good setup.

[00:16:38] [SPEAKER_08]: I have not checked in on Wes nail recently.

[00:16:42] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, I, I, I hope that he and the rest of the nail family are doing great, uh, in, um,

[00:16:47] [SPEAKER_08]: the wake of losing Keith.

[00:16:49] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, with that being said, the thing that I'd be really interested to know is where are

[00:16:54] [SPEAKER_08]: you at on those nuggets?

[00:16:55] [SPEAKER_05]: That's the, that's coming up.

[00:16:57] [SPEAKER_08]: But like, I'm here on this podcast, at least until the nuggets.

[00:17:01] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:17:02] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, great quote there by Keith, uh, Keith and nail, uh, or Keith and Wes, uh, they are going

[00:17:09] [SPEAKER_05]: to go up against each other at the hero arena, but not before that we get a new look or a

[00:17:14] [SPEAKER_05]: look at the Koyopa tribe, uh, minus Val voted out of the tribal council.

[00:17:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Jeremy pissed.

[00:17:22] [SPEAKER_05]: Whatever.

[00:17:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Mm-hmm.

[00:17:24] [SPEAKER_08]: Isn't that what he says?

[00:17:24] [SPEAKER_08]: He's like, it's whatever.

[00:17:25] [SPEAKER_08]: It's like, whoa, Jeremy is like seething.

[00:17:28] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, San Juan del Sur Jeremy is an awesome vibe.

[00:17:33] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, he's just like, he's, he is just like, uh, like when he even said like back at the

[00:17:38] [SPEAKER_08]: pro, like I already know we're in this episode a little while when he's going to just like

[00:17:42] [SPEAKER_08]: spill the tea on John Rocker to the rest of the tribe.

[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_08]: But here he's mad at John Rocker who didn't debrief any of his people at all about what

[00:17:52] [SPEAKER_08]: had happened.

[00:17:53] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, like if he had really tried, uh, you know, hot take John Rocker, maybe kind of

[00:17:59] [SPEAKER_08]: dumb.

[00:18:00] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, cause like if what he really authentically did want to do is say Val, there was another

[00:18:04] [SPEAKER_08]: way to do it.

[00:18:05] [SPEAKER_07]: Just like tell them like, uh, you know, like we can't kill Val right now.

[00:18:08] [SPEAKER_07]: Can we just like go after somebody else?

[00:18:09] [SPEAKER_05]: John Rocker really gets the most, the worst of both worlds where that he tries to protect

[00:18:15] [SPEAKER_05]: Val and keep his word to Jeremy.

[00:18:18] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, but then did not keep, uh, his word to his own tribe.

[00:18:23] [SPEAKER_05]: So he's coming across as kind of shady to both Jeremy who ended up seeing his wife go home

[00:18:31] [SPEAKER_05]: and then also to his tribe that he cut a deal with Jeremy and didn't tell them what it

[00:18:36] [SPEAKER_05]: was.

[00:18:36] [SPEAKER_05]: Correct.

[00:18:37] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:18:37] [SPEAKER_08]: And so like, he's like sort of like, uh, you know, he's cutting off both feet really.

[00:18:43] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, like he's not, he's not helping his case with Jeremy certainly by not being able to protect

[00:18:49] [SPEAKER_08]: Val and then internally at Coyopa, these guys are like, what's Johnny rocks doing?

[00:18:55] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:18:56] [SPEAKER_05]: He didn't tell us any of that as news to us.

[00:18:58] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:18:58] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, there's a nice moment after West and Keith do battle in the challenge.

[00:19:02] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, Wes ends up winning and you know, uh, Keith for as much as he said, uh, that, you know,

[00:19:09] [SPEAKER_05]: sure.

[00:19:09] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, he'll still spank.

[00:19:11] [SPEAKER_05]: He'll still whoop, uh, that he gets teary eyed.

[00:19:15] [SPEAKER_05]: And Jeff calls this out, wants to know, like, uh, is Keith often like that?

[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_05]: And Wes says, no.

[00:19:21] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:19:21] [SPEAKER_08]: Um, this is not a joke or a bit.

[00:19:23] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, this is like a moment of personal vulnerability is that, um, so, so this is 10 years ago to

[00:19:29] [SPEAKER_08]: the day that this airs October 8th, 2014, uh, 10 years greater from October 8th, 2014 today.

[00:19:37] [SPEAKER_08]: I had like a totally unrelated to anything emotional call with my father earlier today.

[00:19:44] [SPEAKER_08]: It was, we had to talk to a lawyer about a thing and he asked me to like stick around

[00:19:48] [SPEAKER_08]: after the call and he and I had been at a wedding earlier in the weekend.

[00:19:54] [SPEAKER_08]: And I talked to him about some of the things that are going on in my life and some of the

[00:19:57] [SPEAKER_08]: things that I'm happy about and some of the things I'm not so happy about.

[00:20:00] [SPEAKER_08]: And my father is not really one to give out like paternal advice.

[00:20:05] [SPEAKER_08]: He's a very smart guy.

[00:20:07] [SPEAKER_08]: He could be a very silly guy.

[00:20:08] [SPEAKER_08]: He could be a very deep guy, but he's not like a super emotional guy.

[00:20:11] [SPEAKER_08]: And he like held me back after this call to give me like some of those things that you

[00:20:16] [SPEAKER_08]: just want to hear your dad say.

[00:20:19] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, and I cried so much on the call.

[00:20:24] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, so like, then I watched this episode afterwards and I was like, what is like this, like this

[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_08]: crazy time loop that we're on that like, this is also happening on the show today.

[00:20:36] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, and I told you a bunch of months ago that like, I, I had had a call with my dad where

[00:20:41] [SPEAKER_08]: I'd, I'd had like a conversation with my dad at the start of the year that was like supremely

[00:20:45] [SPEAKER_08]: inspired by what you've talked about of that final phone call that you had with your dad

[00:20:49] [SPEAKER_08]: that was like really healing for you.

[00:20:51] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, and it ended up being a really healing thing for me and my dad to have that conversation

[00:20:56] [SPEAKER_08]: earlier this year.

[00:20:57] [SPEAKER_08]: Um, and like our relationship has been really good, but I had to start that conversation.

[00:21:02] [SPEAKER_08]: And then today was this moment where like, he gave me like this, I'm proud of you son

[00:21:07] [SPEAKER_08]: speech.

[00:21:07] [SPEAKER_08]: And I just was, I was wrecked by it.

[00:21:10] [SPEAKER_08]: And then to watch it happen here on San Juan del Sur and know that I was going to get on

[00:21:14] [SPEAKER_08]: this podcast and get a chance to tell you all about that.

[00:21:16] [SPEAKER_08]: Cause this is really a big, like this, all this happened for me watching San Juan del Sur

[00:21:21] [SPEAKER_08]: talking about San Juan del Sur, having this great moment with my dad, all kinds of circles

[00:21:26] [SPEAKER_08]: back to you and your podcast, Rob.

[00:21:28] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, so, so thank you.

[00:21:31] [SPEAKER_08]: Thank you for like your vulnerability that you've expressed over the years.

[00:21:34] [SPEAKER_08]: And thank you for entrusting me with doing nonsense with you on podcasts.

[00:21:38] [SPEAKER_08]: So I could have an enriched life as a result.

[00:21:42] [SPEAKER_05]: So first, Josh, thank you for, um, sharing all of that and, uh, bringing us into your vulnerability.

[00:21:50] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, I can now check off my list.

[00:21:53] [SPEAKER_05]: This was a productive use of my time today.

[00:21:56] [SPEAKER_05]: It was a productive use of your time today.

[00:21:57] [SPEAKER_05]: We've, uh, really accomplished two things there.

[00:22:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:22:00] [SPEAKER_05]: And thirdly, I'd like to add, my dad would have loved seeing John Rocker lose on Survivor.

[00:22:10] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I bet.

[00:22:12] [SPEAKER_08]: He would have loved it.

[00:22:13] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm sure.

[00:22:14] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm sure.

[00:22:14] [SPEAKER_08]: It's a great moment.

[00:22:16] [SPEAKER_08]: It's a great moment.

[00:22:16] [SPEAKER_08]: It was a great moment for me in real life, but it was a great moment on the show.

[00:22:20] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, and like Wes's reaction.

[00:22:21] [SPEAKER_08]: And then especially, of course, there's this now added layer of watching this scene 10 years

[00:22:26] [SPEAKER_08]: later.

[00:22:26] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, and like in this scene, like Wes is talking about, I haven't seen my father like

[00:22:30] [SPEAKER_08]: this, uh, except for when his great grandfather died and when, and when, uh, my grandfather

[00:22:35] [SPEAKER_08]: died.

[00:22:36] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, or I think it was like his, his grandfather and his father, I think.

[00:22:39] [SPEAKER_08]: It's basically what he's saying.

[00:22:40] [SPEAKER_08]: Um, and like all that Keith can say in that moment is like, we're all right.

[00:22:44] [SPEAKER_08]: We're good.

[00:22:45] [SPEAKER_08]: And it's like, it's so sweet.

[00:22:47] [SPEAKER_08]: And it's also so it's, it's so bittersweet, right?

[00:22:50] [SPEAKER_08]: You know, like he's not here anymore.

[00:22:52] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, and that's awful.

[00:22:54] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, but like to like have this moment of kindness between father and son, especially one who

[00:22:59] [SPEAKER_08]: will go on to become like one of the most beloved survivor figures, certainly of the

[00:23:03] [SPEAKER_08]: last 10 years, uh, who is no longer with us to have like that moment of vulnerability

[00:23:08] [SPEAKER_08]: on screen.

[00:23:09] [SPEAKER_08]: It's certainly a big part of why we love Keith, Rob.

[00:23:11] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:23:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, and yeah, all the added context, uh, you know, makes us miss him even more.

[00:23:19] [SPEAKER_08]: Yes.

[00:23:20] [SPEAKER_08]: A hundred percent.

[00:23:21] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:23:21] [SPEAKER_05]: A hundred percent.

[00:23:22] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:23:23] [SPEAKER_08]: All right.

[00:23:23] [SPEAKER_08]: We can do funny stuff again.

[00:23:24] [SPEAKER_08]: Now back.

[00:23:25] [SPEAKER_08]: We can pivot.

[00:23:26] [SPEAKER_08]: We can pivot camp.

[00:23:28] [SPEAKER_05]: Jeremy is finally sharing with everybody what he knows about John Rocker.

[00:23:35] [SPEAKER_05]: He's like, I know who John Rocker is.

[00:23:37] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:23:38] [SPEAKER_05]: And then we're like, well, who is he?

[00:23:39] [SPEAKER_05]: We don't know.

[00:23:40] [SPEAKER_05]: We don't know.

[00:23:40] [SPEAKER_05]: He's like, you want to know who John Rocker is?

[00:23:43] [SPEAKER_06]: He's a pitcher.

[00:23:44] [SPEAKER_06]: He used to pitch for the Atlanta Braves.

[00:23:45] [SPEAKER_06]: Really?

[00:23:46] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:23:47] [SPEAKER_06]: Let me tell you exactly what this dude is.

[00:23:49] [SPEAKER_06]: He said a whole bunch of racist and homosexual stuff.

[00:23:54] [SPEAKER_05]: A whole bunch racist and homosexual stuff.

[00:24:00] [SPEAKER_04]: Jeremy.

[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, uh, I heard about this, uh, John Rocker.

[00:24:06] [SPEAKER_05]: And, uh, if he's saying a bunch of homosexual stuff, then, uh, he's not.

[00:24:14] [SPEAKER_05]: I think it was, uh, it was, uh, I don't even know what TBS means.

[00:24:19] [SPEAKER_08]: Was it last week?

[00:24:20] [SPEAKER_08]: I think someone had a comment of like, oh, I can't believe you did talk about where Jeremy

[00:24:25] [SPEAKER_08]: says he did a bunch of racist and homosexual stuff.

[00:24:28] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, I was like, just give it a week, give it a week.

[00:24:32] [SPEAKER_08]: What a line.

[00:24:34] [SPEAKER_08]: What a line.

[00:24:35] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, unbelievable.

[00:24:39] [SPEAKER_07]: Crazy.

[00:24:40] [SPEAKER_05]: It's a crazy quote.

[00:24:42] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, John Rocker has pushed back hard against the allegation of saying a bunch of homosexual

[00:24:49] [SPEAKER_05]: stuff.

[00:24:49] [SPEAKER_08]: Yes, he has.

[00:24:50] [SPEAKER_08]: Certainly has.

[00:24:51] [SPEAKER_05]: He flat out categorically denies it.

[00:24:54] [SPEAKER_08]: Denied.

[00:24:55] [SPEAKER_08]: Thumbs down.

[00:24:55] [SPEAKER_08]: No.

[00:24:56] [SPEAKER_08]: Did not happen.

[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_08]: Do you know what's great in this scene is obviously Julie is upset.

[00:25:02] [SPEAKER_08]: Natalie and Jeremy are pissed.

[00:25:05] [SPEAKER_08]: Natalie's the one who's like, she still has her loved one.

[00:25:08] [SPEAKER_08]: We're the ones who should be mad now.

[00:25:10] [SPEAKER_08]: And like, everyone is kind of like raging and Julie is off on her own.

[00:25:14] [SPEAKER_08]: But I think like a really good bit of storytelling that happens here on screen is the camera just

[00:25:21] [SPEAKER_08]: like very briefly is on Missy in a way that makes it read like Missy, like with like, uh, her history of like having these like failed relationships that went south for whatever reasons.

[00:25:36] [SPEAKER_08]: Um, that like she is not loving this moment of everyone like trash talking Julie's spouse behind her back that like, uh, despite who and what John Rocker is, that there is a side to it that is represented by Julie in this moment that Missy does.

[00:25:54] [SPEAKER_08]: And so like the camera's just like on Missy and then we follow Missy to like go to Julie.

[00:26:01] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, and I think for Julie McGee, it's a tough spot.

[00:26:04] [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, like boyfriend, John, this whole season is a tough spot for Julie McGee, I think.

[00:26:08] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, but I think like, it's, it's just really good storytelling with like that arc of mother Missy, uh, that's like going across the season.

[00:26:15] [SPEAKER_08]: That's going to have like a really dark ending to it from Reed obviously later on.

[00:26:20] [SPEAKER_08]: Um, but I think like a storybook, a fairy tale, would you say?

[00:26:24] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I think that he, I think that he's like, he's reading the wrong storybook or at least there's another side to the storybook.

[00:26:31] [SPEAKER_08]: If you like flip it upside down.

[00:26:32] [SPEAKER_08]: And I think like you get a little bit of that with Missy in here.

[00:26:34] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, that was something that I clocked that I thought was really good.

[00:26:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Josh, we talked about a great episode for Keith Nail and, uh, continues over on Exile Island that, uh, Wes had to pick somebody to go to Exile Island, uh, in his stead and to go with Keith.

[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_05]: He, uh, he picked Wes.

[00:26:55] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, I'm sorry.

[00:26:55] [SPEAKER_05]: He picked Josh.

[00:26:56] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, Wes picked Josh.

[00:26:57] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, and he said, uh, look, I get along with, uh, with Josh.

[00:27:01] [SPEAKER_05]: So I'm sure my dad's going to get along.

[00:27:03] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:27:03] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:27:04] [SPEAKER_08]: They'll click.

[00:27:05] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, and Josh is like, we're clicking, we're vibing, we're spitting, like we're hanging.

[00:27:10] [SPEAKER_08]: Like we're just, we're just two guys.

[00:27:12] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:27:13] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, and then, uh, Keith, what does Keith say?

[00:27:17] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, like we don't have a whole lot of people like Josh where I'm from.

[00:27:22] [SPEAKER_08]: It's like, was, was, was Keith Nail like the final Rudy?

[00:27:27] [SPEAKER_08]: Was he the final Rudy?

[00:27:29] [SPEAKER_08]: I know like Joe Del Campo and Rudy have their commonalities.

[00:27:32] [SPEAKER_08]: Was, was Keith like the final person in survivor who could like get away with this?

[00:27:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, who else?

[00:27:42] [SPEAKER_05]: I have to think, uh, there might've been other people who did get away with it and we just

[00:27:47] [SPEAKER_05]: didn't see that footage.

[00:27:48] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, but, um, I'm not sure necessarily, uh, in, uh, that same, that same way.

[00:27:57] [SPEAKER_08]: But you know what?

[00:27:58] [SPEAKER_08]: I think one of the things about Keith as like sort of like going through this season in a

[00:28:02] [SPEAKER_08]: lot of ways feels like just like a way to honor Keith and to think about Keith.

[00:28:06] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, and I think like, um, the, like the, the moment earlier where he's talking about

[00:28:12] [SPEAKER_08]: how, uh, like, uh, I probably should say this on camera about like whooping.

[00:28:18] [SPEAKER_08]: West or like even this moment, a thing about Keith, these are like not great things.

[00:28:25] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, but he, he like in like, especially like in 29, we're not that far removed and perhaps

[00:28:33] [SPEAKER_08]: even within this season are still in like mactor world, uh, of just like hot hires for the

[00:28:39] [SPEAKER_08]: show.

[00:28:39] [SPEAKER_08]: And like, he's like puts the reality in reality star.

[00:28:44] [SPEAKER_08]: Like he just does not have any speed other than whatever the heck he is.

[00:28:50] [SPEAKER_08]: That's who he is.

[00:28:51] [SPEAKER_08]: This is him.

[00:28:52] [SPEAKER_08]: He cannot be anybody else.

[00:28:54] [SPEAKER_08]: And the way that he speaks to the camera just feels authentic in a way that, um, you

[00:29:00] [SPEAKER_08]: know, the truly great survivor confessional givers, I think are able to master.

[00:29:04] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:29:04] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, it's like, it's just him.

[00:29:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Great moments with Keith and Josh and, uh, how Keith ends up getting the clue for, uh,

[00:29:14] [SPEAKER_05]: the idol back at camp.

[00:29:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Josh gets the blank paper, which he describes as toilet paper.

[00:29:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Yep.

[00:29:20] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, uh, the only thing that this, uh, blank idol clue is good for is, uh, you know,

[00:29:26] [SPEAKER_05]: toilet paper.

[00:29:27] [SPEAKER_08]: Or, uh, I would hang on to that in the new era that gets held onto and someone like tries

[00:29:33] [SPEAKER_08]: to do their best calligraphy and turn that into a thing.

[00:29:37] [SPEAKER_08]: Sure.

[00:29:38] [SPEAKER_08]: In the old, back in my day, we saw a blank piece of paper.

[00:29:43] [SPEAKER_08]: We wiped our tushies with it.

[00:29:45] [SPEAKER_08]: Right.

[00:29:46] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:29:47] [SPEAKER_05]: All right.

[00:29:47] [SPEAKER_05]: So back at Coyopa, the strategy truly has evolved.

[00:29:51] [SPEAKER_05]: It has evolved.

[00:29:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, back at Coyopa, they, uh, show a little bit of John Rocker catching fish and some of

[00:29:57] [SPEAKER_05]: similar, uh, John Rocker and Rome are both, uh, providing for their tribe in different ways.

[00:30:02] [SPEAKER_05]: Did, uh, did Rocker do some night fishing?

[00:30:06] [SPEAKER_05]: It seemed like that he was coming back.

[00:30:08] [SPEAKER_05]: I think that maybe the camera technology, um, it might've been like a twilight more so

[00:30:14] [SPEAKER_05]: than night.

[00:30:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh-huh.

[00:30:16] [SPEAKER_05]: I doubt he was fishing at nighttime.

[00:30:18] [SPEAKER_08]: Cause it looks like it, he comes back with a little fishy and he's like, yeah.

[00:30:23] [SPEAKER_08]: And it's like dark.

[00:30:24] [SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm.

[00:30:24] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:30:25] [SPEAKER_08]: So you were just swimming out there under the moonlight catching fish.

[00:30:28] [SPEAKER_08]: How romantic.

[00:30:28] [SPEAKER_05]: I think he was probably cutting it pretty close to, uh, you know, uh, when the sun was going

[00:30:34] [SPEAKER_05]: down and came back.

[00:30:35] [SPEAKER_05]: And so, uh, you know, the lighting, uh, uh, cameras, not as good as they are, uh, in 2024.

[00:30:42] [SPEAKER_05]: And so, uh, how many of those fish do you think he ate to himself?

[00:30:45] [SPEAKER_05]: I didn't get the sense that he did that.

[00:30:47] [SPEAKER_05]: I think that they would have done anything to bury John Rocker in this episode.

[00:30:50] [SPEAKER_05]: And I think that had he been misbehaving in any way, I think that, uh, so he gets a kinder

[00:30:56] [SPEAKER_05]: fish at it than Rome got.

[00:30:57] [SPEAKER_05]: Mm.

[00:30:58] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:30:59] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, so meanwhile, we're seeing Baylor trying to work on maybe a fishy for Baylor, uh, this

[00:31:06] [SPEAKER_05]: week, uh, trying to pull in Alec and Wes to vote with her and Jacqueline.

[00:31:11] [SPEAKER_05]: She's hustling.

[00:31:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:31:13] [SPEAKER_05]: While Josh is at exile Island.

[00:31:15] [SPEAKER_08]: Do we know yet when we, the people become aware of sticky situation right around when?

[00:31:25] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:31:25] [SPEAKER_05]: So this is a great point because I think that really would, would be a great companion piece

[00:31:29] [SPEAKER_05]: to this is that it would be great if we had a person, maybe a couple of people that could

[00:31:35] [SPEAKER_05]: be like, uh, doing a re-listen to some of the podcasts from this era.

[00:31:42] [SPEAKER_05]: I've been trying to keep up with, uh, I listened to the know-it-alls the first two weeks, but

[00:31:47] [SPEAKER_05]: I did not get the chance to, uh, do any additional podcasting.

[00:31:52] [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, the Jets firing their coach today, uh, didn't help the situation.

[00:31:56] [SPEAKER_05]: Was that a good choice?

[00:31:57] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, I think that it was, I, I, I will give the fishy to Woody Johnson today.

[00:32:03] [SPEAKER_05]: Great.

[00:32:04] [SPEAKER_08]: Great.

[00:32:04] [SPEAKER_08]: So 10 years ago, you had Antonio on the podcast to do voicemails on his birthday.

[00:32:10] [SPEAKER_08]: Yes.

[00:32:11] [SPEAKER_05]: Happy birthday.

[00:32:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Happy birthday.

[00:32:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Antonio.

[00:32:13] [SPEAKER_08]: It's almost birthday.

[00:32:14] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:32:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.

[00:32:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:32:15] [SPEAKER_05]: So it would be great if you're interested in helping us out, listen to the know-it-alls,

[00:32:20] [SPEAKER_05]: listening to the podcast, any other, uh, nuggets that we could, uh, take in like a West nail

[00:32:25] [SPEAKER_05]: that would be wonderful.

[00:32:27] [SPEAKER_08]: We much like John Rocker's preferred fishing time would love to knight you.

[00:32:34] [SPEAKER_08]: We would love to knight you and dub you one of, if not our soul, San Juan del Sur.

[00:32:43] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, we would like to-

[00:32:44] [SPEAKER_08]: Our San Juan del Sur again?

[00:32:45] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:32:46] [SPEAKER_08]: We would like you to be our San Juan del Sur, our knight in shining armor who can go back

[00:32:51] [SPEAKER_08]: and plumb the trenches of war.

[00:32:54] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, you go back and it's like a page, uh, you know where we are on the, in the book here.

[00:33:01] [SPEAKER_08]: This is helpful.

[00:33:01] [SPEAKER_08]: You ready?

[00:33:02] [SPEAKER_08]: I actually pulled this up earlier today.

[00:33:05] [SPEAKER_08]: Go to weknowsurvivor.com and go to page 176.

[00:33:16] [SPEAKER_08]: And you will now find yourself very handily, uh, in-

[00:33:23] [SPEAKER_05]: I think there's an easier way.

[00:33:24] [SPEAKER_05]: I think that in the sidebar-

[00:33:26] [SPEAKER_05]: The San Juan del Sur era.

[00:33:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Has a website.com.

[00:33:28] [SPEAKER_05]: When you look at the post that there's a dropdown and you could go to any month in the history

[00:33:32] [SPEAKER_05]: of, uh, uh, RHAP and you can go back to October of 2014 and see all the podcasts we were doing

[00:33:39] [SPEAKER_05]: at that particular time.

[00:33:40] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:33:41] [SPEAKER_08]: The way I'm doing it is more akin to like trying to spearfish at night.

[00:33:44] [SPEAKER_04]: Mm-hmm.

[00:33:46] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:33:46] [SPEAKER_08]: Don't do it.

[00:33:47] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:33:47] [SPEAKER_08]: Go in the day.

[00:33:48] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:33:49] [SPEAKER_05]: All right.

[00:33:49] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, we would love to knight you.

[00:33:50] [SPEAKER_05]: So let us know.

[00:33:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Hit us up.

[00:33:52] [SPEAKER_05]: All right.

[00:33:52] [SPEAKER_05]: Let me see if I could, um, find out who got, who got the fishy award, uh, from

[00:33:58] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, that's a, that's a, that's a people, that's a, that's a people search you're looking

[00:34:03] [SPEAKER_08]: for.

[00:34:03] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.

[00:34:04] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:34:04] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know if, um, there was a, there used to be a chart that we used to have of like,

[00:34:09] [SPEAKER_05]: who got the fishy on what day, but I, I wonder if, uh, Steven gave it the

[00:34:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Josh.

[00:34:14] [SPEAKER_05]: I, I suspect he gave it to Josh.

[00:34:17] [SPEAKER_05]: I think he did.

[00:34:18] [SPEAKER_05]: I think more than he gave it to Baylor.

[00:34:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:34:20] [SPEAKER_05]: I think he probably did.

[00:34:21] [SPEAKER_05]: All right.

[00:34:21] [SPEAKER_05]: So how about our immunity challenge?

[00:34:25] [SPEAKER_05]: This is where things get testy.

[00:34:27] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:34:28] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, so first and foremost, awesome challenge.

[00:34:31] [SPEAKER_08]: Great challenge.

[00:34:32] [SPEAKER_08]: Do you agree or disagree?

[00:34:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, I thought the challenge was just fine.

[00:34:36] [SPEAKER_05]: Not a challenge that you would see on modern day survivor.

[00:34:38] [SPEAKER_08]: Maybe that's part of this.

[00:34:40] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, maybe that's part of this for me is that it just like feels very distinct from anything

[00:34:43] [SPEAKER_08]: you see anymore.

[00:34:45] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, there's no like huge feet of athleticism followed by an equalizing puzzle.

[00:34:50] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, I think a thing that maybe they've gotten away from, and maybe this is just way too

[00:34:54] [SPEAKER_08]: difficult to do while we're committed.

[00:34:56] [SPEAKER_08]: I, the Royal we, while they are committed to the three tribe format, these head to heads

[00:35:02] [SPEAKER_08]: are really working for me.

[00:35:03] [SPEAKER_08]: And it's good in like, certainly like a blood versus water season where it's like, you're

[00:35:07] [SPEAKER_08]: trying to like, uh, like, uh, get like, you know, engineer family drama and stuff like

[00:35:11] [SPEAKER_08]: that.

[00:35:12] [SPEAKER_08]: Um, but I think like these like matchups, like these like mad scrambles where there's like

[00:35:17] [SPEAKER_08]: sort of like a timer element almost.

[00:35:19] [SPEAKER_08]: Right.

[00:35:20] [SPEAKER_08]: Like, I think like, there's something like, so like competitive about that.

[00:35:23] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:35:23] [SPEAKER_08]: That like the, the great equalizer is like the matchups.

[00:35:28] [SPEAKER_08]: So we don't just have to rely on like physical, physical, physical, physical puzzle.

[00:35:33] [SPEAKER_08]: And then like everyone just gets to the puzzle at whatever stage and whoa, a roaring comeback

[00:35:37] [SPEAKER_08]: from behind.

[00:35:38] [SPEAKER_08]: You could just like have like the matchups be the wild card.

[00:35:41] [SPEAKER_08]: Um, more like this.

[00:35:43] [SPEAKER_08]: I, I really liked this challenge and then it gets hella dramatic.

[00:35:48] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.

[00:35:48] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:35:48] [SPEAKER_05]: So that the people were tethered together, a la Joel and Chet.

[00:35:53] [SPEAKER_05]: And so you had to go through, I don't know if they call it a tough nut, uh, but it's basically

[00:35:59] [SPEAKER_05]: like a kind of like some kind of like a jungle gym type situation where there's a bunch of

[00:36:06] [SPEAKER_05]: sticks and you had to go through, get a basketball and shoot.

[00:36:11] [SPEAKER_05]: The problem was that if you missed, then you had to go, go through the maze, uh, constantly

[00:36:16] [SPEAKER_05]: on the rebound.

[00:36:17] [SPEAKER_05]: Also, there was a little bit of an attack zone element to this challenge.

[00:36:22] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't really know the advantage of doing so, but Josh, if, uh, you know, we are tied

[00:36:28] [SPEAKER_05]: together.

[00:36:29] [SPEAKER_05]: If we pass another duo crawling through the maze, we can just hit them as hard as we want.

[00:36:37] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:36:37] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know what that buys us, but we too are getting slowed down by hitting them, but we

[00:36:44] [SPEAKER_08]: check people if we feel like it.

[00:36:46] [SPEAKER_08]: Forget hitting Rob.

[00:36:47] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm going, I'm biting.

[00:36:50] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to be a little biter down there.

[00:36:52] [SPEAKER_08]: You get your little feet scrambling past me.

[00:36:54] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to take a bite.

[00:36:55] [SPEAKER_08]: And then you'd be like, ah, what the hell?

[00:36:58] [SPEAKER_08]: You're not supposed to bite me.

[00:37:00] [SPEAKER_08]: You're an adult.

[00:37:01] [SPEAKER_08]: And I'd be like, yeah, but I'm also now on the other side with a basketball and you're

[00:37:06] [SPEAKER_08]: too confused because you got bit on the foot.

[00:37:08] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:37:09] [SPEAKER_08]: That's my move.

[00:37:10] [SPEAKER_08]: You don't want to put me in the attack zone.

[00:37:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:37:13] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm not going to take a Josh to the attack zone.

[00:37:15] [SPEAKER_05]: Feet's of strength.

[00:37:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Literally.

[00:37:18] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[00:37:18] [SPEAKER_05]: That's how weird Josh gets his strength from your feet.

[00:37:21] [SPEAKER_05]: It's my feet.

[00:37:21] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:37:22] [SPEAKER_08]: All right.

[00:37:23] [SPEAKER_08]: So it comes down to grapple checks that go down.

[00:37:27] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, and like, was this, I, I missed this.

[00:37:29] [SPEAKER_08]: Was this something that Prope said?

[00:37:31] [SPEAKER_08]: He's like, yeah, you guys can rough it up.

[00:37:32] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.

[00:37:33] [SPEAKER_05]: In the first challenge also that there was like a little bit of a scramble that they

[00:37:37] [SPEAKER_05]: could have like had like checked each other.

[00:37:38] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know why they were going for that so hard this season.

[00:37:41] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, but they are going back and forth.

[00:37:44] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, John Rocker, uh, he checks read, uh, pretty hard in this challenge.

[00:37:50] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:37:50] [SPEAKER_08]: He starts it.

[00:37:51] [SPEAKER_08]: He starts it.

[00:37:52] [SPEAKER_08]: He starts it.

[00:37:52] [SPEAKER_08]: And then, and then like, uh, Koiopa starts to feel the bloodlust.

[00:37:57] [SPEAKER_08]: Really?

[00:37:57] [SPEAKER_08]: Like it starts to like permeate through the entire tribe that like Alec and Wes cannot

[00:38:02] [SPEAKER_08]: wait to just like punch Natalie in the leg on the way.

[00:38:06] [SPEAKER_08]: Like this is what they want now.

[00:38:08] [SPEAKER_08]: And like Dale once again from the rafters.

[00:38:10] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:38:10] [SPEAKER_08]: Just like, yeah.

[00:38:11] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:38:12] [SPEAKER_08]: We need that.

[00:38:13] [SPEAKER_05]: Now Wes, he's, he, he's from the South.

[00:38:16] [SPEAKER_05]: They still hit.

[00:38:17] [SPEAKER_05]: They still whoop.

[00:38:17] [SPEAKER_05]: He checks Natalie pretty hard in this challenge.

[00:38:19] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes, he does.

[00:38:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:38:22] [SPEAKER_08]: And so she's fired up by the end of it when they win.

[00:38:25] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:38:25] [SPEAKER_05]: They're okay.

[00:38:26] [SPEAKER_05]: And so, uh, everybody is like really just like frothing at the mouth over John Rocker.

[00:38:33] [SPEAKER_05]: First off what he did to, uh, Natalie and to Val and then also his reputation.

[00:38:41] [SPEAKER_05]: And maybe those two things are also sort of like, uh, feeding off of each other.

[00:38:46] [SPEAKER_05]: And so they've had it with John Rocker.

[00:38:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Just board him out, get together and board him out.

[00:38:51] [SPEAKER_05]: If you were a man, I would knock your teeth out.

[00:38:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my God.

[00:38:54] [SPEAKER_01]: You can knock me out, bro.

[00:38:55] [SPEAKER_04]: Knock me out.

[00:38:56] [SPEAKER_01]: You're so mature.

[00:38:57] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm not getting you, bro.

[00:38:59] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm not.

[00:39:02] [SPEAKER_08]: What an asshole.

[00:39:05] [SPEAKER_08]: 10 years later.

[00:39:07] [SPEAKER_08]: What an almighty a-hole.

[00:39:09] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:39:11] [SPEAKER_08]: You were a man.

[00:39:12] [SPEAKER_08]: I'd knock your teeth out.

[00:39:13] [SPEAKER_08]: What a, what an awful, awful man.

[00:39:18] [SPEAKER_08]: What a terrible guy.

[00:39:21] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:39:22] [SPEAKER_05]: And then by, and everything, they're going back and forth.

[00:39:24] [SPEAKER_05]: And then he's like, oh, but you don't know him.

[00:39:26] [SPEAKER_05]: Like I do.

[00:39:27] [SPEAKER_07]: And then he's like, you look like a dude and I'd knock your face off.

[00:39:31] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, what are you talking about, man?

[00:39:34] [SPEAKER_05]: John Rocker says, uh, Hey, let's, let's go.

[00:39:37] [SPEAKER_05]: Take all the stuff down.

[00:39:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Let's fight.

[00:39:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Take all the stuff down.

[00:39:43] [SPEAKER_08]: John Rocker.

[00:39:44] [SPEAKER_08]: If you were a real man, you'd walk through the stuff.

[00:39:46] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:39:46] [SPEAKER_08]: Why, why can't we do it?

[00:39:47] [SPEAKER_05]: Why can't you fight over there?

[00:39:49] [SPEAKER_05]: Why do we have to take the stuff down?

[00:39:50] [SPEAKER_08]: You don't have to take down my stuff.

[00:39:52] [SPEAKER_05]: We got to do a whole nother, like, uh, I don't know if we're going to use this challenge

[00:39:55] [SPEAKER_05]: again in worlds apart, but we'd like to keep our options open.

[00:39:59] [SPEAKER_05]: Why do we have to take the stuff down?

[00:40:01] [SPEAKER_08]: Circumnavigate the stuff.

[00:40:03] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:40:04] [SPEAKER_05]: You don't need to remove the stuff to have a fight, but also don't have a fight.

[00:40:09] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:40:10] [SPEAKER_05]: But it would be iconic if Jeff's like, all right, guys, come on.

[00:40:13] [SPEAKER_05]: We don't say that anymore.

[00:40:15] [SPEAKER_05]: But like, he could say that at this time.

[00:40:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Guys, come on in.

[00:40:17] [SPEAKER_05]: Take down the stuff.

[00:40:19] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:40:19] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:40:19] [SPEAKER_05]: They're going to fight.

[00:40:20] [SPEAKER_08]: They're going to fight.

[00:40:21] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:40:22] [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, if there was like a rule that the attack zone was always open.

[00:40:26] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:40:27] [SPEAKER_08]: At any time.

[00:40:28] [SPEAKER_08]: And that fighting was just allowed on Survivor.

[00:40:32] [SPEAKER_08]: We would be, we would, there'd be a, the, the, the potential cast for the medevac season

[00:40:36] [SPEAKER_08]: would be robust.

[00:40:37] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:40:37] [SPEAKER_08]: Even more so than it currently is.

[00:40:39] [SPEAKER_08]: Okay.

[00:40:40] [SPEAKER_08]: So all right.

[00:40:40] [SPEAKER_08]: Years later, we're not doing fight club.

[00:40:43] [SPEAKER_05]: Not a great look for Johnny rocks.

[00:40:45] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, he goes back to camp.

[00:40:47] [SPEAKER_05]: And so there's a couple of ideas going on.

[00:40:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Baylor's feeling like she's in trouble.

[00:40:54] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, John Rocker is, uh, in the, uh, bullseye that people, the, the names are coming for

[00:41:04] [SPEAKER_05]: John Rocker.

[00:41:05] [SPEAKER_08]: They are.

[00:41:06] [SPEAKER_08]: It's starting to happen.

[00:41:07] [SPEAKER_08]: Josh is Josh and like, uh, rocker have a moment where rocker, uh, who's like trying

[00:41:12] [SPEAKER_08]: to defend his reputation and confession is like, well, Josh is my closest ally.

[00:41:16] [SPEAKER_08]: It's, uh, uh, what is it?

[00:41:18] [SPEAKER_08]: Actions versus accusations.

[00:41:20] [SPEAKER_08]: The title of the episode, not an ideal title.

[00:41:23] [SPEAKER_08]: Probably, probably not.

[00:41:25] [SPEAKER_08]: And so he's like, but I got to beat these accusations.

[00:41:28] [SPEAKER_08]: And so what I'm going to do is vote out another girl, you know, that's, that's what I'm going

[00:41:35] [SPEAKER_08]: to do.

[00:41:36] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, and he engineers this whole plan to tell Jackie and, uh, and Baylor to Jacqueline and

[00:41:43] [SPEAKER_08]: Baylor is a Jacqueline, not Jackie, uh, and Baylor to put their votes on Dale.

[00:41:49] [SPEAKER_08]: And like the, the, the, the, the unbelievable irony that Dale is going to be like the only

[00:41:55] [SPEAKER_08]: one blindsided other than rocker by the rocker vote and rocker had Dale as his decoy.

[00:42:01] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, but they don't want to do that.

[00:42:03] [SPEAKER_08]: They want to do what Josh wants to do, which is let's chop down rocker.

[00:42:09] [SPEAKER_08]: We're going to take them out.

[00:42:10] [SPEAKER_05]: Yep.

[00:42:11] [SPEAKER_05]: So John rocker does tell us in confessional that he regrets the comments that he said.

[00:42:19] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:42:20] [SPEAKER_05]: And look, you can quibble was 2014 better or 2024, which, which is better.

[00:42:26] [SPEAKER_05]: But in 2014, John rocker said he regretted the comments that he said.

[00:42:32] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:42:32] [SPEAKER_05]: Hmm.

[00:42:34] [SPEAKER_05]: What do you, what do you think now?

[00:42:35] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, he's still online.

[00:42:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.

[00:42:39] [SPEAKER_05]: John, does he still tweet?

[00:42:42] [SPEAKER_05]: John rocker in 2024 says, uh, I stand by my statement.

[00:42:48] [SPEAKER_08]: Are you right?

[00:42:49] [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, his original.

[00:42:50] [SPEAKER_08]: So, uh, that we're still back.

[00:42:54] [SPEAKER_08]: Is that an unverified John rocker?

[00:42:57] [SPEAKER_08]: It's real John rocker.

[00:42:59] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm pretty sure this is the real, the real guy.

[00:43:02] [SPEAKER_05]: John rocker.

[00:43:04] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.

[00:43:05] [SPEAKER_05]: Check.

[00:43:05] [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I guess it's pot.

[00:43:06] [SPEAKER_05]: It's possible.

[00:43:07] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, how about this?

[00:43:08] [SPEAKER_08]: He's kind of active.

[00:43:09] [SPEAKER_08]: If that's the real John underscore rocker, Rob, without looking, how many followers does

[00:43:17] [SPEAKER_08]: he have?

[00:43:17] [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, I already saw 470.

[00:43:21] [SPEAKER_05]: Maybe, maybe, okay.

[00:43:22] [SPEAKER_05]: Maybe it's not the, maybe it's not the real John rocker.

[00:43:25] [SPEAKER_08]: With that being said, I'm pretty sure that his Instagram with 4,903 followers, uh, that

[00:43:35] [SPEAKER_08]: appears to be him.

[00:43:36] [SPEAKER_08]: Yes.

[00:43:37] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, this appears to be him.

[00:43:38] [SPEAKER_08]: The real John rock.

[00:43:39] [SPEAKER_08]: How's it going?

[00:43:39] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, when did he last post?

[00:43:43] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, 295 weeks ago.

[00:43:45] [SPEAKER_08]: Okay.

[00:43:46] [SPEAKER_08]: He was with a, a, a woman who does not appear to be Julie McGee.

[00:43:55] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:43:55] [SPEAKER_05]: No, he's, well, he's not with Julie McGee.

[00:43:56] [SPEAKER_05]: Julie McGee is, uh, with somebody else.

[00:43:59] [SPEAKER_08]: Yes.

[00:43:59] [SPEAKER_08]: I also went to, uh, Julie McGee's Instagram, uh, earlier today.

[00:44:04] [SPEAKER_08]: Yes.

[00:44:04] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, and, uh, was, uh, wondering if, cause I didn't know this, if she and John rocker

[00:44:11] [SPEAKER_08]: were still together or not.

[00:44:12] [SPEAKER_08]: No.

[00:44:13] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, and in scrolling through it at first, I kind of thought maybe she is.

[00:44:18] [SPEAKER_08]: Cause like the person she's with, like kind of looked rocker adjacent.

[00:44:23] [SPEAKER_08]: And, uh, so this was a picture of them at Halloween.

[00:44:26] [SPEAKER_08]: It was a picture of Julian.

[00:44:27] [SPEAKER_08]: She's, uh, I believe she's, uh, she's married.

[00:44:30] [SPEAKER_08]: I think she has a family.

[00:44:31] [SPEAKER_08]: So, uh, I thought this guy might've been John rocker for a second.

[00:44:34] [SPEAKER_08]: And then she totally has gone in a different direction.

[00:44:37] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:44:38] [SPEAKER_08]: She's like, ah, those guys were right.

[00:44:39] [SPEAKER_08]: Ultimately.

[00:44:40] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.

[00:44:41] Yeah.

[00:44:42] [SPEAKER_08]: All right.

[00:44:44] [SPEAKER_08]: So.

[00:44:45] [SPEAKER_08]: So he stands by it.

[00:44:46] [SPEAKER_08]: He stands by it.

[00:44:47] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:44:47] [SPEAKER_08]: He stands by it.

[00:44:49] [SPEAKER_08]: And I stand by calling him an awful person.

[00:44:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Here's the wrinkle.

[00:44:52] [SPEAKER_05]: John rocker.

[00:44:53] [SPEAKER_05]: He has an idol.

[00:44:55] [SPEAKER_05]: So that's going to be a little tricky.

[00:44:56] [SPEAKER_08]: He mentions it so casually.

[00:44:58] [SPEAKER_08]: It's almost like he forgot.

[00:44:59] [SPEAKER_08]: It's like, and I have an idol.

[00:45:01] [SPEAKER_08]: So like, it's fine.

[00:45:02] [SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm.

[00:45:03] [SPEAKER_08]: And Josh is out here saying, well, Josh is out here saying he wants to play with honest

[00:45:07] [SPEAKER_08]: people.

[00:45:08] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, I want to play with honest people.

[00:45:10] [SPEAKER_08]: And like rockers done a couple of things that are sketching me out.

[00:45:12] [SPEAKER_08]: This is the first time hearing of the idol, but Josh, he is telling you about the idol.

[00:45:18] [SPEAKER_08]: Is that not like sort of a valuable thing?

[00:45:22] [SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm.

[00:45:22] [SPEAKER_08]: Also like everybody's seemingly, you know, uniformly hates John rocker.

[00:45:28] [SPEAKER_08]: So like, I guess my question for you, Rob is especially, you know, um, uh, hindsight

[00:45:36] [SPEAKER_08]: is 2020 and like, you can't go back.

[00:45:38] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:45:39] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, 2014, but we know, yeah.

[00:45:42] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, but we know that Josh will be the first juror.

[00:45:48] [SPEAKER_08]: He will, he will go home early in this battle of the wits with Jeremy.

[00:45:54] [SPEAKER_08]: Does it break a different way?

[00:45:56] [SPEAKER_08]: If John rocker with an idol who appears to be fairly loyal to Josh and also appears to

[00:46:03] [SPEAKER_08]: have enemies up and down the beaches of Nicaragua.

[00:46:08] [SPEAKER_08]: Was this the right move?

[00:46:11] [SPEAKER_08]: Was it?

[00:46:11] [SPEAKER_08]: Did they got John rocker?

[00:46:12] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:46:13] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm wondering.

[00:46:13] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, I think that they just feel like that, uh, it's gotten so toxic that I feel like that

[00:46:17] [SPEAKER_05]: there's no, uh, other way to go.

[00:46:21] [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, and I guess ultimately that like Wes and Alec are on board with it, but initially

[00:46:27] [SPEAKER_08]: at least Alec doesn't seem like he wants to do this because he's a meat collector and

[00:46:32] [SPEAKER_08]: John rockers a whole lot of meat.

[00:46:34] [SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm.

[00:46:35] [SPEAKER_08]: Not so, not so sure.

[00:46:36] [SPEAKER_08]: He wants to give that right up.

[00:46:37] [SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm.

[00:46:40] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:46:41] [SPEAKER_05]: Valuable.

[00:46:41] [SPEAKER_05]: I thought I found a different real John rocker, uh, Twitter account, but this one has less

[00:46:48] [SPEAKER_05]: followers and, uh, has for many years been posting exactly, exactly one thing about how, uh,

[00:46:57] [SPEAKER_05]: he keeps going to Burger King and how he keeps getting diarrhea.

[00:47:01] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, well, it is a, it is a, a gimmick that went on for years.

[00:47:08] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:47:09] [SPEAKER_05]: How far back can you, uh, can you screen share this?

[00:47:12] [SPEAKER_05]: You really probably shouldn't.

[00:47:13] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, but from, uh, the period of, uh, this John rocker Twitter account.

[00:47:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Annual?

[00:47:23] [SPEAKER_05]: No, no.

[00:47:24] [SPEAKER_05]: Like multiple times, like, uh, through the years, uh, talking about went to Burger King and

[00:47:31] [SPEAKER_05]: then, and then soon thereafter a post about horrible diarrhea.

[00:47:37] [SPEAKER_08]: Like these would be like two separate posts.

[00:47:41] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:47:41] [SPEAKER_08]: Like first post would be to Burger King.

[00:47:44] [SPEAKER_08]: And then what?

[00:47:44] [SPEAKER_08]: Like hours, days later.

[00:47:46] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.

[00:47:46] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know what's like, I don't know if these are deep fake John rockers.

[00:47:50] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.

[00:47:51] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know anything.

[00:47:52] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, that all the John rockers on Twitter are all crazy, are all all the John rockers.

[00:47:59] [SPEAKER_05]: I have to be honest.

[00:48:00] [SPEAKER_05]: I cannot tell you with, with full certainty that any of them are real.

[00:48:04] [SPEAKER_08]: Wow.

[00:48:05] [SPEAKER_08]: Wow.

[00:48:06] [SPEAKER_08]: The greatest trick John rocker ever pulled was convincing the world.

[00:48:11] [SPEAKER_08]: He didn't.

[00:48:11] [SPEAKER_08]: Johnny rocks.

[00:48:12] [SPEAKER_05]: So Twitter's.

[00:48:14] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.

[00:48:14] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know what's real and what's not, but that's, that's, that's the case.

[00:48:17] [SPEAKER_05]: That's a lot of things.

[00:48:19] [SPEAKER_05]: In 2014, you knew what was real and what wasn't.

[00:48:23] [SPEAKER_08]: You had a fairly solid sense of what was real and what was not.

[00:48:27] [SPEAKER_08]: 2024.

[00:48:28] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't even know who the real John rocker is anymore.

[00:48:30] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know what's going on.

[00:48:31] [SPEAKER_08]: I have nothing.

[00:48:33] [SPEAKER_06]: I have nothing.

[00:48:34] [SPEAKER_06]: I have nothing.

[00:48:35] [SPEAKER_06]: The Twitter is lying.

[00:48:37] [SPEAKER_06]: It is lying.

[00:48:38] [SPEAKER_06]: It's not even Twitter anymore.

[00:48:40] [SPEAKER_04]: Mm-hmm.

[00:48:44] [SPEAKER_05]: It's a mess.

[00:48:45] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:48:46] [SPEAKER_05]: Much like John rocker.

[00:48:48] [SPEAKER_05]: After the night of Burger King.

[00:48:49] [SPEAKER_05]: After the night of Burger King.

[00:48:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Whopper, whopper, whopper, whopper.

[00:48:53] [SPEAKER_08]: You know, if that is the real John rocker, uh, it's good.

[00:48:57] [SPEAKER_08]: Hunapu, hunapu, hunapu, hunapu.

[00:48:59] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:49:00] [SPEAKER_08]: He's having hunapu.

[00:49:01] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, you know, if that is the real John rocker, it's nice to know that he's, uh, occasionally

[00:49:08] [SPEAKER_08]: right about things.

[00:49:09] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:49:10] [SPEAKER_08]: You go to Burger King, you get diarrhea.

[00:49:13] [SPEAKER_08]: That's right.

[00:49:14] [SPEAKER_08]: That's still true in 2020.

[00:49:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Straight up, you told me to vote Dale right on camp.

[00:49:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Wow.

[00:49:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Wow is right.

[00:49:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Cause you did.

[00:49:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Own it.

[00:49:21] [SPEAKER_08]: Own it.

[00:49:21] [SPEAKER_08]: Own it.

[00:49:22] [SPEAKER_05]: Own it.

[00:49:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:49:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Own it.

[00:49:24] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:49:26] [SPEAKER_05]: So one other moment that I want to highlight, uh, from the Travel Council, you know, and

[00:49:30] [SPEAKER_05]: it's interesting on an episode where we talked about, uh, that the circle of life and

[00:49:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Wes and Keith, um, Jeff asks Wes about the vote tonight.

[00:49:40] [SPEAKER_05]: What are we going to do at tribal council?

[00:49:43] [SPEAKER_05]: John rocker has been talking about the leader and what should, what should we do?

[00:49:47] [SPEAKER_05]: Jeff asks Wes this question.

[00:49:50] [SPEAKER_06]: She's saying it may not be our best plan to get rid of Jacqueline or Baylor tonight.

[00:49:53] [SPEAKER_06]: Does that concern you?

[00:49:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Not really.

[00:49:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Really?

[00:49:57] [SPEAKER_00]: I feel like my Alliance, we got a game plan and that's probably what we're going to stick

[00:50:02] [SPEAKER_00]: to.

[00:50:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

[00:50:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

[00:50:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Stick to the game plan.

[00:50:06] [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, look at that.

[00:50:08] [SPEAKER_08]: Now I bet we clocked that during the evolution.

[00:50:11] [SPEAKER_08]: You think so?

[00:50:11] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.

[00:50:12] [SPEAKER_08]: Somebody needs to go back and listen to that.

[00:50:13] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:50:14] [SPEAKER_08]: We need to get our San Juan del surrogate on it.

[00:50:16] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:50:17] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:50:18] [SPEAKER_08]: But we didn't play the sound clip.

[00:50:20] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:50:21] [SPEAKER_08]: No, no sound clips.

[00:50:23] [SPEAKER_08]: We had a product to sell.

[00:50:24] [SPEAKER_08]: That didn't feel legal.

[00:50:25] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:50:25] [SPEAKER_08]: But now who knows?

[00:50:26] [SPEAKER_08]: Now who knows?

[00:50:28] [SPEAKER_08]: There are no more rules.

[00:50:31] [SPEAKER_08]: We're done with them.

[00:50:32] [SPEAKER_08]: We're done.

[00:50:33] [SPEAKER_08]: We're done.

[00:50:34] [SPEAKER_08]: That's great.

[00:50:35] [SPEAKER_08]: Wes coins it.

[00:50:36] [SPEAKER_08]: Also, an observation that I had about Wes nail in this episode was that he's like quietly

[00:50:41] [SPEAKER_08]: jacked.

[00:50:42] [SPEAKER_08]: Like he's cut.

[00:50:43] [SPEAKER_08]: He's a big boy.

[00:50:44] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:50:44] [SPEAKER_08]: He's cut.

[00:50:45] [SPEAKER_08]: He's like ripped.

[00:50:45] [SPEAKER_08]: Like there's definition.

[00:50:46] [SPEAKER_08]: Nish.

[00:50:47] [SPEAKER_04]: Mm-hmm.

[00:50:47] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:50:49] [SPEAKER_08]: All right.

[00:50:51] [SPEAKER_08]: I guess 2024 Wiggler is still objectifying the survivors.

[00:50:54] [SPEAKER_08]: That's okay.

[00:50:55] [SPEAKER_08]: Like a lot of them like it.

[00:50:57] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.

[00:50:58] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't.

[00:50:58] [SPEAKER_05]: I probably shouldn't do it.

[00:50:59] [SPEAKER_05]: Mm-hmm.

[00:51:00] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, if some of these guys that you're saying are, you know, are very defined.

[00:51:09] [SPEAKER_05]: Yep.

[00:51:10] [SPEAKER_05]: If they are objecting to that, then we can stop saying it.

[00:51:14] [SPEAKER_08]: All right.

[00:51:14] [SPEAKER_08]: I won't say it.

[00:51:15] [SPEAKER_08]: I won't say it anymore.

[00:51:16] [SPEAKER_08]: Okay.

[00:51:17] [SPEAKER_08]: And then John Rocker goes home.

[00:51:19] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:51:20] [SPEAKER_08]: What is, what is, what does Baylor say in her confessional?

[00:51:25] [SPEAKER_08]: She has something like really quick to say about John where she's just like, stop it already.

[00:51:30] [SPEAKER_08]: What does Baylor say?

[00:51:32] [SPEAKER_08]: I forget exactly what her, what her like finish him line is to John Rocker, but it's like very

[00:51:38] [SPEAKER_08]: tight and like, she's very clearly annoyed.

[00:51:40] [SPEAKER_08]: This is an interesting tribal council, Rob, because like, uh, you've, the show has given

[00:51:47] [SPEAKER_08]: you zero reason.

[00:51:48] [SPEAKER_06]: They've given us nothing.

[00:51:50] [SPEAKER_08]: Nothing to believe that there is, that there's any alternative to one of two paths.

[00:51:56] [SPEAKER_08]: John Rocker plays the idol and doesn't go home or John Rocker doesn't play the idol

[00:52:00] [SPEAKER_08]: and he goes home.

[00:52:01] [SPEAKER_08]: So everything just like hinges on the moment of whether or not Rocker is going to play

[00:52:05] [SPEAKER_08]: an idol.

[00:52:05] [SPEAKER_08]: And then like, they still try to do like the dramatic tribal council, like music.

[00:52:09] [SPEAKER_08]: They're like, and it's like, Whoa, maybe something's happening.

[00:52:14] [SPEAKER_08]: Baylor's names come up twice, but like, there's no drama in this moment at this point.

[00:52:19] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, Baylor says you are negative.

[00:52:22] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:52:22] [SPEAKER_08]: That's negative.

[00:52:25] [SPEAKER_08]: I feel like that could have gotten some play today.

[00:52:28] [SPEAKER_08]: You are negative.

[00:52:29] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, like, it's just like a good thing to throw up at people.

[00:52:32] [SPEAKER_08]: Like don't, don't come at me.

[00:52:34] [SPEAKER_08]: You are negative.

[00:52:35] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm cutting you from my life.

[00:52:37] [SPEAKER_08]: You are negative.

[00:52:38] [SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm.

[00:52:41] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:52:41] [SPEAKER_08]: I, I just, uh, took a bunch of photos and brought them to the dark room.

[00:52:46] [SPEAKER_08]: You are negative.

[00:52:47] [SPEAKER_05]: You are, you are negative.

[00:52:48] [SPEAKER_05]: Not anymore.

[00:52:49] [SPEAKER_05]: Now you, now that you're film, now you're, now the photos are made.

[00:52:52] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:52:52] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:52:53] [SPEAKER_05]: There's a bunch of great quotes over in the survivor wiki also for actions versus accusations.

[00:53:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh-huh.

[00:53:01] [SPEAKER_05]: We love that.

[00:53:02] [SPEAKER_05]: We love that.

[00:53:04] [SPEAKER_05]: Hugely into that.

[00:53:05] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.

[00:53:06] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:53:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:53:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Yep.

[00:53:09] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, and John Rocker said in his final words that this is going to be a souvenir on the

[00:53:14] [SPEAKER_05]: mantle.

[00:53:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Now they didn't send John Rocker's idol to ghost Island.

[00:53:19] [SPEAKER_05]: Josh.

[00:53:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Should they have?

[00:53:21] [SPEAKER_05]: You got it.

[00:53:23] [SPEAKER_08]: Do you want to like, uh, do you want to do that?

[00:53:25] [SPEAKER_08]: Rob?

[00:53:26] [SPEAKER_08]: Do we want to, uh, uh, Erica, the hourglass and like put John Rocker's shit on ghost.

[00:53:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, wow, you just got John Rocker's immunity idol that he didn't play.

[00:53:39] [SPEAKER_08]: When is the last time probes or survivor has even acknowledged John Rocker was on survivor?

[00:53:46] [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, I don't think that they talk.

[00:53:48] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't think that this is a thing.

[00:53:49] [SPEAKER_08]: You know what?

[00:53:50] [SPEAKER_08]: I, I really feel like, um, like you can, I get the energy from Jeff during Rocker's time

[00:53:56] [SPEAKER_08]: on the show that like, he doesn't love him being here.

[00:53:59] [SPEAKER_05]: If I had to guess, knowing the little bit that we know about like, uh, you know how Jeff

[00:54:04] [SPEAKER_05]: sees the show, I'm going to guess that this was maybe like a, uh, maybe a Lynn Spillman

[00:54:10] [SPEAKER_05]: pick more than a little bit of a, above his pay grade, like a, you know, foul mouth villain

[00:54:19] [SPEAKER_05]: from pop culture.

[00:54:21] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, okay.

[00:54:22] [SPEAKER_05]: Right.

[00:54:23] [SPEAKER_08]: Right.

[00:54:23] [SPEAKER_08]: And obviously like trying to fill out the Culpepper role, right.

[00:54:27] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, from, uh, the OG BB dubs.

[00:54:30] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, so like they go for that, but I don't think Jeff particularly likes this guy.

[00:54:36] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:54:36] [SPEAKER_05]: Maybe one of the reasons why Jeff is like, uh, historically not been super high on this

[00:54:40] [SPEAKER_05]: season.

[00:54:41] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, I think that probably that like, uh, you know, there was probably a lot of like looking

[00:54:45] [SPEAKER_08]: at the season as it was filming and a bunch of people in a producer's tent saying you are

[00:54:50] [SPEAKER_08]: negative, uh, to like the actions and the behaviors of some of these people.

[00:54:55] [SPEAKER_08]: Um, but damn, if it doesn't translate to compelling TV.

[00:54:59] [SPEAKER_08]: All right.

[00:55:00] [SPEAKER_08]: Bye Johnny.

[00:55:01] [SPEAKER_05]: Now next week we've got an all time classic.

[00:55:05] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.

[00:55:05] [SPEAKER_08]: Yes.

[00:55:07] [SPEAKER_08]: Whether or not the San Juan del Sor 10 year anniversary makes it the distance is up for

[00:55:13] [SPEAKER_08]: debate, but I have two things that will happen.

[00:55:18] [SPEAKER_08]: We will make it to the Westdale nugget eating competition for sure.

[00:55:23] [SPEAKER_08]: Okay.

[00:55:23] [SPEAKER_08]: And we will then obviously certainly make it to next week, which is basically the most

[00:55:32] [SPEAKER_08]: bad-ass episode of San Juan del Sur.

[00:55:36] [SPEAKER_08]: Yep.

[00:55:37] [SPEAKER_08]: The Drew Christie elimination.

[00:55:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:55:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Just a little peek behind the production curtain.

[00:55:42] [SPEAKER_05]: Uh, Josh and I are going to be, uh, recording that one a little bit early next week.

[00:55:46] [SPEAKER_05]: So if you, uh, want to be our San Juan del Sur, our San Juan del Sur, we get, uh, we're

[00:55:51] [SPEAKER_05]: going to need to hear from you before Saturday.

[00:55:54] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:55:55] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:55:56] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:55:56] [SPEAKER_08]: Yes.

[00:55:56] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:55:57] [SPEAKER_08]: Cause you're traveling.

[00:55:58] [SPEAKER_05]: You got things.

[00:55:59] [SPEAKER_05]: We got the live show coming up in New York.

[00:56:01] [SPEAKER_05]: So one week.

[00:56:02] [SPEAKER_05]: We haven't told you on the live show already last week, one week in the future, you'll

[00:56:06] [SPEAKER_05]: be hearing all about the night that Drew Christie went home from survivor, but I will be making

[00:56:12] [SPEAKER_05]: new memories with, uh, our patrons at our special patron meetup.

[00:56:17] [SPEAKER_08]: Cool.

[00:56:18] [SPEAKER_08]: Do you want to anticipate any of these memories?

[00:56:20] [SPEAKER_08]: Like, do you want to predict any of your new memories that you're going to make?

[00:56:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, impossible to say, but I'm hoping that people carry me around the room in a chair

[00:56:30] [SPEAKER_05]: like it was my bar mitzvah.

[00:56:31] [SPEAKER_05]: That's not real.

[00:56:32] [SPEAKER_08]: There's no way this was a thing that really happened.

[00:56:35] [SPEAKER_08]: In the seventies, they put people in a chair in the seventies and wield them up.

[00:56:42] [SPEAKER_08]: I thought I was predicting my memory for next Tuesday.

[00:56:44] [SPEAKER_08]: I thought that you were calling back to what you told me at the start of this podcast that

[00:56:50] [SPEAKER_08]: they put people, they put pitchers in chairs and wield them up to the mound.

[00:56:54] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, in the seventies that they did put people in the bullpen car.

[00:56:58] [SPEAKER_08]: That's not real.

[00:56:59] [SPEAKER_08]: That's not real.

[00:57:00] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't believe that at all.

[00:57:01] [SPEAKER_08]: Let's see.

[00:57:02] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't believe that for a second.

[00:57:05] [SPEAKER_08]: And also like, if you're about to show me an image, there's no way I'm just automatically

[00:57:09] [SPEAKER_08]: going to believe it because of AI.

[00:57:10] [SPEAKER_08]: Again, can't trust anything.

[00:57:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:57:13] [SPEAKER_08]: You may not, you shouldn't even bother.

[00:57:14] [SPEAKER_05]: History of bullpen carts.

[00:57:16] [SPEAKER_05]: YouTube.

[00:57:18] [SPEAKER_05]: Is it like a tuck tuck?

[00:57:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Would Keith drive?

[00:57:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Honestly, it is like a tuck tuck.

[00:57:22] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:57:24] [SPEAKER_05]: Here.

[00:57:25] [SPEAKER_05]: Check this out.

[00:57:26] [SPEAKER_05]: History of bullpen carts.

[00:57:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:57:30] [SPEAKER_05]: History of bullpen parts.

[00:57:32] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, car.

[00:57:34] [SPEAKER_05]: So they would.

[00:57:35] [SPEAKER_05]: It's a long video.

[00:57:37] [SPEAKER_05]: It's a long video.

[00:57:38] [SPEAKER_05]: And then, so like a tuck tuck, you know, here's like the, here's the Mets one.

[00:57:42] [SPEAKER_05]: I look at the Yankees would drive people out to the field in a, in a Datsun.

[00:57:47] [SPEAKER_08]: Datsun.

[00:57:48] [SPEAKER_05]: Look, here's a pitcher getting out of a car.

[00:57:52] [SPEAKER_05]: This is ridiculous.

[00:57:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Use your legs.

[00:57:55] [SPEAKER_05]: Like just walk there.

[00:57:56] [SPEAKER_05]: They had to like, uh, it looks like this, uh, the Mariners had a boat cause they were

[00:58:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Mariners.

[00:58:01] [SPEAKER_08]: Is it cause these pitchers were so focused on arm strength that they always skipped leg

[00:58:05] [SPEAKER_08]: day and they couldn't like make the walk to the mound?

[00:58:08] [SPEAKER_08]: Hmm.

[00:58:09] [SPEAKER_08]: All of your leg strength will be dedicated to standing upright.

[00:58:13] [SPEAKER_08]: This is what they give the pitcher and the fans would love it.

[00:58:16] [SPEAKER_05]: I think.

[00:58:17] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't understand this at all.

[00:58:18] [SPEAKER_05]: And then John Rocker is like, I'm running.

[00:58:20] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:58:23] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm running.

[00:58:25] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:58:25] [SPEAKER_08]: Okay.

[00:58:26] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, uh, there you have it folks.

[00:58:29] [SPEAKER_08]: Another week of San Juan del Sur.

[00:58:32] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:58:32] [SPEAKER_08]: 10 years later.

[00:58:33] [SPEAKER_08]: Grace has it right.

[00:58:33] [SPEAKER_08]: Carts should be for hot dogs, not legs.

[00:58:35] [SPEAKER_08]: That's right.

[00:58:36] [SPEAKER_08]: Grace is right.

[00:58:37] [SPEAKER_08]: As usual.

[00:58:38] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, as usual.

[00:58:40] [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, we had another comment here from, uh, Ryan who said, I bet you all aren't doing this

[00:58:44] [SPEAKER_08]: podcast 10 years later if they don't take Rocker out here.

[00:58:47] [SPEAKER_08]: Do you think that's true?

[00:58:48] [SPEAKER_08]: If Rocker continues on.

[00:58:50] [SPEAKER_08]: Does he win?

[00:58:51] [SPEAKER_08]: Maybe good for Josh's game, but is it bad for podcasting?

[00:58:55] [SPEAKER_08]: Because then we are the ones looking at the season and saying you are negative.

[00:58:59] [SPEAKER_05]: I think he could make it a couple more weeks and I think survivor would have been fine.

[00:59:03] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:59:04] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:59:05] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:59:05] [SPEAKER_05]: I think it's, I think it's fine.

[00:59:07] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:59:08] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:59:08] [SPEAKER_08]: We, we lose a lot if we lose, uh, uh, Baylor here though.

[00:59:13] [SPEAKER_08]: So I'm, um, um, um, um, um, um, my life is fine in this reality that we live in, at least

[00:59:18] [SPEAKER_08]: as far as survivor San Juan del Sur is, uh, concerned.

[00:59:22] [SPEAKER_08]: Okay.

[00:59:23] [SPEAKER_08]: All right.

[00:59:23] [SPEAKER_08]: Okay.

[00:59:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Josh, what else is coming up for you?

[00:59:25] [SPEAKER_08]: Podcast wise.

[00:59:25] [SPEAKER_08]: We've got a lot going on, on, we know scripted, uh, we know scripted tv.com where we have the

[00:59:33] [SPEAKER_08]: tastemakers every week where the aforementioned grace leader is joining Taryn Armstrong every

[00:59:38] [SPEAKER_08]: single week to talk about what's happening in the TV and movie landscape.

[00:59:43] [SPEAKER_08]: So new releases watching these shows.

[00:59:46] [SPEAKER_08]: So either you don't have to, or so you've got a buddy, uh, to, to check this stuff out

[00:59:51] [SPEAKER_08]: with this week.

[00:59:52] [SPEAKER_08]: They talked about the Joker, uh, the, the Joker, Rob, were you a fan of the original Joaquin

[00:59:58] [SPEAKER_08]: Phoenix?

[00:59:59] [SPEAKER_08]: I never watched it.

[01:00:00] [SPEAKER_08]: Joker.

[01:00:01] [SPEAKER_08]: I never walked, Joaquin did.

[01:00:03] [SPEAKER_08]: He never walked, he never walked the Joaquin dead.

[01:00:05] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, so, uh, there's another Joker movie out and apparently it's about as, uh, good at

[01:00:12] [SPEAKER_08]: being a movie as John Rocker was at being a survivor player.

[01:00:16] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, so here, Grace and Taryn talk all about that over at, we know scripted tv.com plus

[01:00:22] [SPEAKER_08]: the weekend program plus TV for real down the hatch.

[01:00:26] [SPEAKER_08]: The penguin is being recapped, uh, and plenty more in the future.

[01:00:30] [SPEAKER_08]: Would love to see all there on, we know scripted tv.com.

[01:00:34] [SPEAKER_08]: Yep.

[01:00:34] [SPEAKER_08]: All right.

[01:00:34] [SPEAKER_05]: We'll be back next week.

[01:00:36] [SPEAKER_05]: Of course, uh, we got a new survivor recap coming up on Wednesday night.

[01:00:41] [SPEAKER_05]: So be there for that.

[01:00:43] [SPEAKER_05]: Make sure you subscribe to our survivor podcast feed.

[01:00:47] [SPEAKER_05]: You hear everything we're doing at we know survivor.com.

[01:00:50] [SPEAKER_05]: Take care of everybody.

[01:00:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Have a good one.

[01:00:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Bye.

[01:00:52] [SPEAKER_05]: Bye.
