[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_10] This show gives me a reason to live.

[00:01:56] [SPEAKER_09] It's the R-H-A-P-E-M.

[00:02:02] [SPEAKER_16] It's the R-H-A-P-E-M. Hi, everybody, and welcome to the R-H-A-P B&B for Survivor 51. My name is Mike Bloom. The era is open. The B&B is reopened as we are back yet again to cover another Survivor season.

[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_16] The only way we know how. With fun, with games, with shits, with giggles, and all the fixings in between. We are here to preview what we know so far of 51, which for the open era is surprisingly closed off. But hey, we're going to peek in, see anything we know, speculate as to what we don't know, as we are but a few days away from the premiere of Survivor 51.

[00:02:41] [SPEAKER_16] Of course, I say we because I would certainly not be here without my incredible co-host, Liana Boris. Did you have a good summer?

[00:02:50] [SPEAKER_14] I had a wonderful summer, but just sad because you and Survivor weren't in it. So I am so happy to be back. Look, a little trepidatious about the open era, but you know what? I love a good mystery. And I almost kind of feel like the fact that they're giving us nothing. I'm like, they're like negging me, right? I'm like, hmm, oh, tell me more.

[00:03:12] [SPEAKER_14] Go girl, give us nothing. Precincts of content. Yes. So look, it weirdly makes me excited that I know basically nothing about the people I'm going to be watching, which gives me the opportunity to fall in love with them on the big screen. So let's do this thing to predict what we can from the little we know.

[00:03:30] [SPEAKER_16] Exactly. And listen, from my own perspective, season 50 was only what four months ago at this point. It just felt like four years. I don't know about you, Liana. It has been a very long summer. It's been a very long week for me just between traveling coasts and, you know, still having one foot in Survivor throughout the summer, albeit due to Survivor players involvement in a completely other CBS reality show.

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_16] But now we are back on the island proper. I got the chance to go to the Survivor Island Beach Drop premiere event this past weekend, which was an incredible amount of fun. I got to host some panels with some alumni, with some current players. I got to talk with Jeff Probst, which was very handy because I was able to get straight from the horse's mouth and the host's mouth as well. What exactly the open era is that I got the chance to actually meet this cast. And I got to say, as engaged as I was, you know,

[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_16] watching their videos, conversing with them as well. I'm even higher on them. I think it's a really interesting group. And from what I've been told and from what I've ascertained as well in just speaking with them, I think when it comes to not only what the open era is apparently supposed to be, as well as the unenviable job of like, hey, we just had this highly anticipated milestone all star season. Good luck being the follow up. It seems like they at least understood the assignment.

[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_14] Mm hmm. Yeah, I think I think that's good. I think that's actually something that I hadn't really considered. The fact that this is following 50, I think similar to you, because it feels like 50 was a thousand years ago. I think especially with D and Devins, I'm like, yeah, they're big brother players. What do you talk? Survivor who? Right. So but I think that that is so, so important to keep in mind, because this is going to be the first time that we're going to be seeing Survivor back after what was something that was like 50 was anticipated for basically a year and a half.

[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_14] Yeah. So now, you know, there's like that coming down from that high. But I do think this cast is super intriguing to me because when I normally look at a cast, I feel like I start to get themes. I start to get like, OK, this is. Oh, I know. This is the general energy of the cast. And I kind of don't know what to make of this group. Like our theme is farmers.

[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_16] We are farmers. Yeah, actually, they're dividing tribes based on what insurance do they most embody?

[00:05:52] [SPEAKER_14] Oh, my God. Have you seen that Liberty Biberty thing?

[00:05:55] [SPEAKER_16] Oh, my God. Yes. I'm so confused because I from my general understanding of this, this is what happens when we don't have preseason content, folks. We're going off on a tangent. This is important for the five minute mark is that they had the himbo character who couldn't do the who couldn't do his lines. It said Liberty Biberty. And then they like anthropomorphized the slip up.

[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_14] Yes. Yes. Into a little yellow like Koosh ball from hell. Puffy thing. Yes. And like now that's a thing. And I just like to I just want to remind everybody that there was somebody who in a marketing meeting was like, you know, it's a great idea. And this is where, you know, maybe I'll give Survivor a little bit of slack. At least there's no Liberty Biberty yellow from hell Koosh ball on this season.

[00:06:41] [SPEAKER_16] Just you wait for the Liberty Biberty vote steal.

[00:06:44] [SPEAKER_15] Liberty Biberty super idol. Oh, no. Oh, my God. You have to play me as a super idol. That's why it says beware. It's Jake from State Farm feeding you your burger.

[00:07:00] [SPEAKER_16] That's when we've truly gone back into the realm of product placement. You know, that's coming full circle back to the single digies, as Brady would say.

[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_15] Oh, no, they ate the guy called Lizard.

[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_14] OK, sorry. I'm focused, Mike. Survivor.

[00:07:15] [SPEAKER_16] Well, let's, I guess, get into that, because it's weird that I'm going to actually stay in the realm of marketing, because when I got the chance to talk with Jeff about, again, what was the origin of this concept of the open era? He said, I weirdly wondered if Survivor, the show was a company. What is our most valuable asset? And I realized our most valuable asset is our history, our legacy of 50 seasons.

[00:07:45] [SPEAKER_16] And instantly it was like, oh, I understand what to do. We're going to take everything we've ever done and we're going to exploit it. Interesting. So get ready for twistity bip sturdy. Twistity bip sturdy. The new mascot for Survivor.

[00:08:04] [SPEAKER_14] That's very interesting that he thinks that the history is the most valuable asset of Survivor. I think longevity is certainly an asset, but I think it's like what allowed that longevity to happen. OK, interesting.

[00:08:20] [SPEAKER_16] Yeah, go ahead.

[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_14] Well, no, I mean, I'm just trying to think of like, to me, I read that as what's everything we've ever done in the history of ever. Let's just do it all.

[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_16] And you wouldn't be completely off the mark there. Now, before we get into Jeff's exact words, Liana, I want to get your perspective because, you know, we certainly had our opinions when this enigmatic 51 teaser drop. Scant information has kind of come out, especially about what the open era is through the marketing that's been released since the cast has been announced. So what is your guess as to what the open era? What does the open era mean to you? Write that personal essay for me.

[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_14] Oh, no. Oh, I forgot my common app at home. OK, so if what does the open era mean for me? Long walks on the beach.

[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_16] They do a lot of those. They're called journeys.

[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_14] I guess I see it as OK. And especially hearing now the Jeff context of history, I would like, OK, I go back through the history of Survivor. What was the most popular things that we did? And then I am going to do them again. Right. This isn't a oh, I'm going to bring back the medallion of power. I'm hoping I'm going to bring back the medallion of power. I'm going to take advantage of like what are what were the moments in Survivor history that we perceive to be the most exciting?

[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_14] And then, as he said, exploit that, take advantage and try to recreate or rebuild maybe some of those popular moments or popular twists or whatever the case would be. I think given that information and what I know, that's how I would interpret it.

[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_16] Yeah. So the thing that really was the epiphany for me is that I think a lot of people's reactions, probably our own included when this came out was, OK, so it's the open era. Anything could come back from any previous season. Isn't that just Survivor? And in talking with Jeff. Surprisingly, for the past nine seasons, that was not the show's M.O. You know, when we talk about, oh, the new era, it felt like from a structural thing, it was so repetitive. It was always three tribes.

[00:10:19] [SPEAKER_16] It was always on the merge. It was always rice negotiation. That was a feature, not a bug. This is what Jeff told me. He said the way I looked at it was in season 47, as an example, when I would sit down with our team to design the season, we knew we were going to have beware advantages, journeys, risk reward scenarios, final three fire making. So did the players. That's part of the fun. They'd be like, well, he's probably on a journey, which means he probably has a chance at an advantage. That's gone.

[00:10:47] [SPEAKER_16] That evolution is gone. There is no evolution. This is not 51, which follows 50. There is no following 50.

[00:10:59] [SPEAKER_14] That's interesting. I think that that I mean, first of all, I do like hearing that because I think that that was where one, especially with a lot of super fans, you start to kind of meta the gameplay and then it gets repetitive and then it gets boring. And then nobody actually wants to go on a journey because, you know, you get targeted if you go on a journey and then you have a bunch of people who are fighting over not going on a journey. I think also what this reminds me of a little bit.

[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_14] And maybe this is just because I'm trying to will it into the universe, but it like reminds me of the silly phrases to get the idol, like something completely new, something we had never seen before, something that nobody expected. When that tweet that or that concept, I guess, first showed up in the 40s. And so I'm kind of hoping that like this lack of formula is what he means, right?

[00:11:49] [SPEAKER_14] Maybe not new, but yeah, the lack of formula maybe is, I guess, what I'm like going back to.

[00:11:54] [SPEAKER_16] I think that's exactly what he didn't decide to define it as that. But that is, I think, what is essentially implied. The analogy he kept using during the event yesterday was a treasure chest, that there's this treasure chest full of things that have been used in survivors past. You as a designer can pick and choose whatever you want for that season. And then maybe next season you shake up the toy, the treasure box, you do it again. Not to, you know, trample on a good Jeff Probst analogy here.

[00:12:21] [SPEAKER_16] I would more so use the metaphor of like the survivor pantry, where if you think about it, we have 26 years of all these ingredients just sitting on the shelves. And for the past nine seasons, we've been on a diet. We pretty much restricted ourselves to like, OK, we're going to have, you know, this broccoli Tuesdays. We're going to have, you know, white rice Wednesdays, et cetera, et cetera. We're going to make sure we have this exact cereal in the morning. We can't have more than two cookies at night, et cetera, et cetera.

[00:12:52] [SPEAKER_16] Now the doors are open and you can pick and choose whatever piece of the food pyramid you want to, however many portions you want to. You can mix and match. And even with the same set of ingredients, you can create a different dish each and every time. And that does sound creatively inspiring. And I think Jeff alluded to that as well. What he told me was that essentially when they birthed the idea of the open era, he talked to people on the crew and he was like, just think back to like some of the things you really loved as a fan that you would want to see back.

[00:13:22] [SPEAKER_16] And he talks about like how people were bringing in things that like you didn't even remember. And so I think it's this idea to not like shake him out of a rut, but I think that you talked about this and we certainly talked about this at the time, like 49, that pre-merge was rough because it felt like we'd reached the end point of the new era pre-merge as like a concept where it was. Okay, tribe of six, form your four immediately, form your three within the four.

[00:13:50] [SPEAKER_16] Okay, you know, don't go on a journey because then people will think you have an advantage or you might lose your vote and you don't want to do that, et cetera, et cetera. And I don't know, again, if that was Jeff feeling like he had to shake it up or it just so coincidentally happened. But hearing that from him made me much more hopeful that whether intentional or not, it was taken as a sign of like doing the same thing each and every season was sort of on its way out.

[00:14:19] [SPEAKER_14] No, I that that makes me a lot happier hearing it framed that way, because, again, the idea of just like we're going to do everything all the time, all at once, like, great. That's not I'm not into that either. But if it's the lack of form formula, the repetitiveness, I mean, I will say when I initially saw 21 on the cast, I was like, God damn, they're going to do three tribes again. But based on some of the pictures, it doesn't seem to be the case. So so I'm definitely I'm definitely looking forward to that.

[00:14:46] [SPEAKER_14] I'm definitely I mean, I mean, that's one thing, like, especially if we think back with, you know, a lot of the complaints about Survivor. Oh, they used to do it in different locations. And, you know, how many people there would be like things were being mixed up, I feel like more often than especially in the new era. So that definitely gives me hope. I think, again, combine that with, you know, you got a lot of super fan players or you're still casting some super fan players.

[00:15:11] [SPEAKER_14] I think that you're not necessarily going to be stuck in that meta because the game structure is just hopefully going to look a lot different. And so it's going to be interesting, especially, I think, not to get ahead of ourselves because 51 is just starting. But I would love to see a 51-52 comparison. Like how much they really take that into consideration? Is 51 going to look just like 52 or are we going to be able to mix it up a little bit because it's like open season, baby.

[00:15:38] [SPEAKER_16] We can do whatever we want. Yeah. I mean, essentially, it's a little bit of like a carte blanche, like a blank check right now. Right. And essentially, 26 years of Survivor is the bankroll is what you're pulling upon to hopefully cash that check. And so all that is to say, I do still have a little worry in my heart that, as you mentioned, this is going to be in everything in the kitchen sink season where it's like, oh, anything goes, then everything goes.

[00:16:05] [SPEAKER_16] And that like I don't want to get into, especially the stuff we got into with 41 and 42, where it felt like a twist every single episode. That is my bigger worry. I'm always team let the players play. That being said, Jeff has certainly talked about how, you know, he is happy letting people design seasons or pick ideas from them to be able to be implemented throughout. He even mentioned to me, and this will never happen, I don't think, but like, wouldn't it be fun to have a season of no idols?

[00:16:33] [SPEAKER_16] Because just the idea of an idol being out there is enough to stir up trouble and stir up drama. The face crack of a century when it turns out that there were no idols in the season. He talked to me about how they might be casting and they're like, this kind of seems like a David versus Goliath season. And we'll choose to do a David versus Goliath season. Themes are back on the table. Returnees are back on the table. Redemption Island is back on the table. Like, it seems like at least the attitude they're having right now is really that they are truly with an open mind to anything and everything.

[00:17:02] [SPEAKER_16] Now, that mindset might narrow the more they start to realize what might work and what might not work. But it feels like a necessary shakeup when it comes to, I would even imagine just from a creative perspective, you know, this is almost like operating in a realm of improv as opposed to doing a scripted play where you're rehearsing the same lines over and over again. The delivery might be a little different, but you're going to be saying the same words pretty much.

[00:17:59] [SPEAKER_14] Mm-hmm. type moments back through whatever twists or advantages or whatever they choose to do or even just general game structure. So, I think it's going to be very interesting to see. I think it's also, I'm just curious if like any of this came from fan reaction or this is like their own internal decision to do so. Because, I mean, I will say like the Billie Eilish boomerang idol was not a hit for anybody, really.

[00:18:26] [SPEAKER_16] Not even Billie Eilish herself.

[00:18:27] [SPEAKER_14] Not even Billie Eilish herself. So, exactly. You kind of have to like reflect a little bit upon that and be like, hmm, let me just rethink some of our decisions. And so, I like seeing the change. I like seeing the feedback. And that does make me a lot more optimistic about what this season has in store structure-wise.

[00:18:44] [SPEAKER_16] And not only that, as you were mentioning, it's not necessarily going to be a massive nostalgia bomb of like, remember this advantage? Well, it's back in pog form. It does seem like, you know, Jeff has explicitly told me that they're still going to do new stuff. And even the outlook they have towards something as simple as casting has changed a little bit from what it used to be. Because, I mean, you alluded to before, I'll outright say there are two tribes to start the game. It's been mentioning in marketing materials.

[00:19:12] [SPEAKER_16] Interestingly, again, to go back to what Jeff clarified for me, he outright told me he was like, we were never going to do two tribes in the new era. Like, it was always going to be three tribes. It was, let me just say, let me see exactly what he said. I'm much simpler than I think people think. We were never going to do two tribes in the new era. I didn't even think about it. We're doing tribes of six because six is dangerous. And that's what we're doing. And so, he said that basically, again, when he was sort of putting the call out for suggestions

[00:19:42] [SPEAKER_16] or what would be fun to do in a new season, someone on the team has suggested two tribes. What's very interesting is that, obviously, we have 21 players. There is some device in the premiere, as they alluded to, that will have one person kind of removed from the action. But Jeff outright said that they're not necessarily looking at dividing the tribes evenly by gender anymore.

[00:20:06] [SPEAKER_18] Hmm.

[00:20:07] [SPEAKER_16] He said, we'll balance it out based on strengths and personalities. And he said, like, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a season where, like, I don't know, it's a tribe of 10. Maybe there's like a seven to three advantage or a six to four advantage, which also creates sort of interesting social situations as well. Are they automatically on the outs or are they automatically sort of thrust into an alliance together?

[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_14] I'm actually kind of really down for that just from a, you know, Survivor is a microchasm, right? Like, I do kind of want to see that play out and like see what that looks like. I think that's something interesting to explore. And I do think that, like, look, at the end of the day, Survivor has been on for 50 freaking seasons. Like, let them, like, you know, you and I have talked about this where it's like the worst case scenario is they just don't care anymore. And like, as much as I may disagree with some of Jeff's decisions, that man cares.

[00:21:00] [SPEAKER_14] Like, this man cares about Survivor. And so to allow them to try something new and it's not all going to work. Not everything Survivor, I mean, Cook Islands, right? Not everything Survivor tried worked. Okay. Did they get one back? Although, wasn't it like it was like the most diverse season, though, they've ever had?

[00:21:20] [SPEAKER_16] At the time, certainly, yeah.

[00:21:20] [SPEAKER_14] Yeah. So, but anyway, I guess the point is, is that like, to me, that's not an immediate, oh, poo-poo. Like, well, let's hear them out. Let's see how it goes. And I'm going to put a little bit of faith then in the team to live up to what they said, right? They also don't, I'm sure they don't want to steamroll. You know what I mean? So it's not in their best interest to have that steamroll happen. So they will try to figure out a way to make it even or maybe design the challenges to make it a little bit more even. But yeah, look, I'm here for that. Let's try it out and see how it goes.

[00:22:51] [SPEAKER_02] May I present to you the award-winning staff of the Toledo Truth Teller.

[00:22:55] [SPEAKER_07] Slap me.

[00:22:55] [SPEAKER_02] Let's jar something loose.

[00:22:56] [SPEAKER_03] Ay, yes! I like that.

[00:22:57] [SPEAKER_07] The certified fresh series returns.

[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_00] You're a boss. You always like this? Or is this just an act? Oh no, this isn't it.

[00:23:04] [SPEAKER_12] Oysters, everybody! Has it happened?

[00:23:07] [SPEAKER_11] There's a certain satisfaction when you work with someone.

[00:23:10] [SPEAKER_08] Maybe we could be a family.

[00:23:12] [SPEAKER_10] You sadistic pig!

[00:23:13] [SPEAKER_08] The Paper. New season streaming September 9th, only on Peacock.

[00:23:16] [SPEAKER_10] This show gives me a reason to live.

[00:23:19] [SPEAKER_16] All right, well, let's talk about the people who will be trying all of this stuff out. Let's get into this cast, which again, very unique situation. I did not get the chance to talk with them beforehand. I, you know, did my best amount of research that I possibly could. I paid visits to people's workplaces and everything in between. Scoured their IMDB profiles. Scoured their IMDB profiles, researched the LRGs that they did to try to figure out exactly who these people are.

[00:23:48] [SPEAKER_16] This is also very interesting because usually we do this before the draft. So, you know, Liana, you have given out your opinions a little bit on these people, but we can sort of rehash a little bit what we think about them because we like to do it through a fun little kaleidoscope lens on the B&B. We go full high school and we try to give out some survivor superlatives based purely on, again, the limited information we know about them, what this might mean for their prospects in the game and potentially beyond.

[00:24:14] [SPEAKER_16] So let's go through some of our tried and true superlatives here. Our first one, most likely to get a personal segment. I guess, Liana, two part question for you here alongside the superlative. A, do you think the personal segments are coming with us into the open era? And B, if so, who is the leader in the clubhouse for you?

[00:24:37] [SPEAKER_14] Yeah, it's interesting because the... Okay, so how I would define a personal segment is that we are talking about something outside of the game. We're allowing a survivor contestant to tell their background, their story. Maybe we'll get a little cheeky photo in there of them as a kid. Um, and I... Yeah, they're heavy-handed sometimes, but they're an opportunity to really get to know the people who you're watching play. And I think we've talked about this previously, where basically, if I'm trying to understand someone's motivations as a game player,

[00:25:07] [SPEAKER_14] understanding their background and their history, why they're there, what they do, what makes them tick, that impacts significantly how they play within the game, who they align with, who they might find enemies with. So I'm like totally on board if those personal segments make it. I really hope that they do. I hope they're just not so like, oh, my life is so sad. It should be like, my life is so sad, and that's why I'm targeting Mike. You know what I mean?

[00:25:30] [SPEAKER_16] That's exactly it. Yeah, it needs to be a natural transition into who you are on the island. I mean, listen, moments of triumph are always so fun to experience at a human level, and I watch these people as humans first, before like huge strategic game players. But yeah, you can sometimes feel it get a little ham-fisted when it's like, my God, carrying all these rocks reminds me of my parents' divorce.

[00:25:52] [SPEAKER_18] Yeah, exactly.

[00:25:53] [SPEAKER_16] And it's like, okay, that's great for you. Feels a little shoehorned in at the moment. But yeah, I agree, because I think this is a human game with human emotions at the end of the day, and who you are fundamentally affects the way that you play. So I have to imagine, now, listen, with 21 people, we're certainly not going to get it for everybody, but I imagine we're going to see some file photos for a select few. Who is among that select few for you, Liana?

[00:26:18] [SPEAKER_14] Yes. So I went with someone who I'm just like personally really excited to see play, and that is Kristen. And I went for that, specifically the reason why I flagged her is because I've been applying for Survivor since the middle of season one. And I really think that if I was like, if Survivor's been on the air for 51 seasons, and there's been someone applying since the very first season, you know what I mean? I just feel like they're going to want to highlight that.

[00:26:48] [SPEAKER_14] I think especially, we had talked about this in the draft, but Kristen being older than the majority of the cast.

[00:26:55] [SPEAKER_16] The oldest cast member of the season.

[00:26:55] [SPEAKER_14] Oldest cast member of the season at 49 years old, which is still not that old, but still. I think that hearing everything from her perspective and her career in crisis, I just think that there's so much there that we can get into. But it's the, I've been applying since season one. I just like, I really can hear that as part of the get to know you personal segment.

[00:27:17] [SPEAKER_16] For me, it's the phrase that she said in her video that I feel is the flint to the general kindling that is this plot device, which is like, I've been living Survivor my entire life. You know, when she talks about like growing up in Idaho as the only queer person within a rural town. Yeah. They love that shit so much of like, this is just a natural environment for you then because you've been surviving and thriving

[00:27:44] [SPEAKER_16] ever since you were a wee little baby girl, little baby boy. So I imagine that was not my pick, but I think Kristen's a very good choice. I mentioned this on one of the previews with Rob. I went with Sharonda. Yeah. Very similar type of thing, but I also mentioned how I felt like, especially watching her video from this meet the cast video, she was very story forward, I think over game forward. I don't think we actually got a lot of intel as to like how she was going to play, but she was talking about how, you know, I initially wanted to come on

[00:28:12] [SPEAKER_16] to, you know, inspire all these little black boys and black girls who can go on to be successful in anything they want to be successful in. But then she has this sort of epiphany before even arriving on the island of like, I've done things in service of so many people for so many years. I'm doing it for Sharonda. It's my time now. When you've already come to a day 26 epiphany, on, you know, minute negative 26 of being in the game, I feel like that's perfect fodder for this type of segment.

[00:28:41] [SPEAKER_14] Yeah, that's so funny. Sharonda was actually my backup pick. So that's, I think that's very much in line with everything that I was thinking. I think especially just, yeah, just listening to her and like how much of her background has inspired her to be here and is shaping her experience. And I think she has a very unique background anyway. So I think just hearing all of that, it makes for perfect clips to be made. I'm actually super high on her too. I think she was one Asia sniped from me that I wanted.

[00:29:10] [SPEAKER_14] So I'll settle for that.

[00:29:13] [SPEAKER_16] All right, well, let's see if I'll snipe this next pick from you because we are going to the exact opposite end of the editing spectrum here. Liana, most likely to get a purple edit. Now, it'll be really interesting to see what happens with 21 players. Yes, we have 90 minute episodes. We have no idea how the season is going to be structured. 50 obviously really backloaded a lot of its double boot, triple boot, even episodes. I think we got one double boot in the pre-merge.

[00:29:42] [SPEAKER_16] So they might slow roll this pre-merge once again. But even then, as we saw with 50 and even the edit of the winner, it was never perfectly balanced in terms of sharing the storytelling stick. So looking at these 21 people, and this is not a disservice to any of them. Again, I met them. They're lovely individuals. I ended up going with Alexis just because, you know, I feel like it's one of these things where she has these interesting qualities,

[00:30:11] [SPEAKER_16] but it's like there's also someone on the cast who could have some of that story and has some of those qualities. She's a lawyer. We have another lawyer on the season. She has a daughter. We have several parents on this season. I mean, I think the most unique thing about her is her talking about, you know, being a, you know, being sober for I think a decade at this point. And again, she seems incredibly nice and obviously gone to the show for a reason. But I will admit, as I was going through the videos and talking through these people, I feel like she kind of stuck out to me the least.

[00:30:42] [SPEAKER_16] The other pick I had was Carter. I think Carter is a very, much like his predecessor of the same name, a very key example of, okay, this is a guy whose job is going to be shelter and he's going to purposely stay in the background and be super duper quiet and we're going to wake up at the final eight and be like, wait, he's still here?

[00:31:00] [SPEAKER_15] His job is shelter. Is Carter the other, this maybe also speaks to him getting up for political, but Carter is one of the farmers, right?

[00:31:10] [SPEAKER_16] He's the farmer from Iowa.

[00:31:11] [SPEAKER_15] Yes. Yes. I vaguely remember him.

[00:31:14] [SPEAKER_14] So maybe that's your answer. Exactly. Maybe Carter is my answer. The person I actually did think of, which maybe in retrospect shouldn't be my answer, but Aliyah, I think, Aliyah.

[00:31:26] Aliyah.

[00:31:27] [SPEAKER_14] Aliyah was the other one that to me, and maybe this was just because when we did the draft, her bio was like five, four, three answers. It was like so, so, so short, which did you, was she an alternate? Did you?

[00:31:38] [SPEAKER_16] I have no idea, but yeah, her bio was the shortest. She only answered like four, three questions, I think.

[00:31:47] [SPEAKER_14] She's going to be like, yes.

[00:31:49] [SPEAKER_16] Yes, chef.

[00:31:51] [SPEAKER_14] Yes, chef. And that exactly. Well, maybe that's what it is. She's just so used to, she's like, you just say yes, you move on. But yeah, I was just, I wasn't, I just haven't gotten a lot from her. I don't get a lot from her. I'm like, wait, I'm like, go on girl, give us nothing. So for me, that was a reason why I ended up putting her for my purple answer. But I think if we put Carter as our bonus pick for both of us,

[00:32:13] [SPEAKER_15] I think makes a lot of sense.

[00:32:15] [SPEAKER_16] Here's our bonus Jonas. Not Jonas. All right, Liana, let's move from the storytelling side of things to the gameplay side of things. We got, we'd like to talk about permanent uncertainty. How much will that be fostered in the strategy of this season? Who is most likely to flip on their number one ally out of this cast?

[00:32:37] [SPEAKER_14] Yeah. Um, maybe because of some stuff he said in his, I don't remember if it was his video or his bio. And look, I don't remember his sequester game, but I am going with Kilby for my answer on this. Maybe it's just because his name is Kilby. And I was like, he's going to shank an ally.

[00:32:55] [SPEAKER_16] You can't help that. It's his last name.

[00:32:57] [SPEAKER_14] Yeah, no, I know, but still Gary Hogan,

[00:33:00] [SPEAKER_16] and lie about what his last name is.

[00:33:02] [SPEAKER_14] Danny Smith. Smith. Yes. Or no, Danny Niceman. That's my name.

[00:33:08] [SPEAKER_16] Danny. Good guy.

[00:33:10] [SPEAKER_14] Danny. Good guy.

[00:33:11] [SPEAKER_15] Best ally ever would never vote you out. Well,

[00:33:14] [SPEAKER_16] what are your general thoughts on Kilby? Cause I think he definitely is our sort of requisite super duper fan archetype. He even calls himself the biggest survivor dweeb the show has maybe ever seen.

[00:33:23] [SPEAKER_14] Yeah. I mean, look, I think also coupled with a unique look, like he just stands out. I think for me, what always makes, I just, I love seeing enthusiasm, right? I said this about Jeff. I just, I want people to give a shit. Like I want people to care. I want people to care. I want people that are there because they care and they want to be there and they want to play. And I'm really excited for Kilby. I think combination of that enthusiasm, plus his experience as a game designer, plus his experience and you know, all the orgs that he's played.

[00:33:53] [SPEAKER_14] I think that that is just going to intrigue me. We could see an epic flame out. I would also be here for that. Or we could see somebody who successfully navigates the open era, knowing the history of the show and being, you know, experiencing twists and kind of knowing how to quickly pivot. So for me, I'm really excited about him. Um, and I think that, uh, I think that he, uh, may turn on his ally though. It's a consequence of that. Yeah.

[00:34:17] [SPEAKER_16] I'm really intrigued to see how much he is going to balance out the happy go lucky team. Ben Katzman social side of him to what I think is a hyper rabid gamer squirrels strategic side of him. Uh, where I think he just has these gamey skills. And so I think he'll be able to do it. I just wonder if he'll be able to do it in a way where not unlike, you know, fellow super fan Cochran, and he's going to have people back at camp telling him like, you disgust me. I would never vote for you on the jury.

[00:34:46] [SPEAKER_14] That's always, it's always so tough. It's like, you have to make friends and you have to be close enough with people so that you will work with them, but also you can't be too nice to them because otherwise they're going to be mad at you. Um, it's just such a difficult rope to walk. Um, but I'm, you know, I'm, I'm optimistic. I think regardless, I'm excited to see him play.

[00:35:07] [SPEAKER_16] Kilby was a good answer, but Leon, with no offense, it was not the best answer because I was going to announce this category as who is most likely to flip on their number one ally. And why is it Lewis Kelly? Cause as much as we are assuming a, chaotic side of Kilby, Lewis has confirmed it up and down and all around the survivor streets. When I asked him what his greatest piece of kryptonite is, he says, I get bored.

[00:35:36] [SPEAKER_16] Boredom gets over and I want to go do something and I want to go mess with someone. So my boredom will probably be my kryptonite. This guy is a content creator. He has made a living out of doing shit just to do shit. And I guarantee he is going to, and he's also, you know, this is not necessarily a lifelong dream of his, you know, that he's incredibly camera ready, has that Irish charm, has good crack, but I think he might be showing his crack eventually,

[00:36:05] [SPEAKER_16] not only from a literal perspective, but also from him doing something incredibly unnecessary. Yeah. Either because he believes he should, or because he believes it'll be funny.

[00:36:16] [SPEAKER_14] Yeah. I can definitely see a universe where he's perfectly safe until he does something that causes his ultimate downfall. Like when you're, when David Bloomberg is going through the YX laws, like the reason Lewis loss is because of Lewis. Um, I completely forgot about him and his wide legged pants. Um,

[00:36:34] [SPEAKER_16] Oh my God. So baggy.

[00:36:35] [SPEAKER_14] Obsessed. Like, where are you going to create a parachute with those things? I imagine him just like so many idols in there. Oh my God. Yes. That's what Gen Z fashion is all about. That's why the baggy pants are there. They're thinking forward. Billy Eilish included hiding idols. Oh gosh. I knew it. Yeah. He, um, he was someone who I think we may have drafted him. And I was like, I just, I think Lewis is going to be so fun again. Talk about characters that I'm really intrigued by. But as you mentioned, I mean,

[00:37:04] [SPEAKER_14] the fact that like he is actively saying I will do things unnecessarily. Wonderful.

[00:37:11] [SPEAKER_16] Yeah. I mean, this is like for team good TV. This is our patron saint.

[00:37:18] [SPEAKER_14] Hundred.

[00:37:18] [SPEAKER_16] We have little patrons on, but this is our patron saying this is the guy that's going to, again, again, be able to make these moves purely out of the idea of what would look the best and how much fun would people be having back at home doing so. And if he becomes the topic du jour for weeks at a time and listen, not to say that people like Tony Blachos were necessarily driven by this, but like, uh, I was on the red carpet, uh, you know, for this premiere event. And I asked him like, okay, who's, uh, you know,

[00:37:48] [SPEAKER_16] who's the survivor goat. And he's like, I have a Mount Rushmore of Venus, Q say, and Rome. If those are the people who inspire him, we are in for a wallop, a real, uh, Molly wop to use an Irish term.

[00:38:06] [SPEAKER_14] Yeah, that's, um, wow. What a list. Uh, I didn't know that that's nuts. I mean, it's very much in line. At least he's consistent. He's consistently chaotic, which I would like to see.

[00:38:18] [SPEAKER_16] All right. Well, perhaps on that note, as we're talking about someone who has millions of followers on social media, we know that sometimes, uh, we talk about the game within the game, but there's the game beyond the game. The Sophie Blairity superlative, most likely to start a podcast slash merch line slash cameo slash insert Liberty, Liberty brand deal here. Uh, so I, I did, uh, I did disqualify Lewis for this one because it felt a little bit like cheating.

[00:38:45] [SPEAKER_16] I ended up going with a little adjacent to it though. Someone who does have some repute. I went with Devin.

[00:38:52] [SPEAKER_14] Okay. That's so, that's so interesting. Um, Devin was on my short list as well. So just full context, whenever we do these, I usually put like two or three people. So then that way, one, we don't necessarily have repetition. Um, but also I'm usually still mulling it over as we kind of talk things through. My list was Devin Lewis and Brady. Also, I felt like of like all three of them, I could absolutely see doing it. I think Devin, of course, being in the public eye,

[00:39:22] [SPEAKER_14] Cammy, I'm, does he have a cameo already? Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if you already have one.

[00:39:27] [SPEAKER_16] Um,

[00:39:28] [SPEAKER_14] so Devin, absolutely. When I see the cameo merch line podcast thing, I'm like, this guy could turn it into something. The reason why he was the third on my list is, um, I was like, nice. Is he too famous?

[00:39:42] [SPEAKER_16] No, I don't. Well, listen, he can do a podcast now with his co-star from queers folk is going to be on traders. Like they can share swap stories about their respective reality TV experiences.

[00:39:51] [SPEAKER_14] Oh my gosh. Wait, I actually, I'm so here for that. I would listen to that pod. Um, so yeah, so that's Devin. I did have Lewis as my number one answer, but I do understand that actually being cheating, but I could see Brady, like Brady for sure. Like that man, just looking at his cast photo. I'm like, that's a meme already. Like that's, I don't, I want that on a pillow. You know what I'm saying? Like that's, I just, I am obsessed. He seems like an absolute showman. He's going to get his little digies all over cameo. I could absolutely see it happen.

[00:40:21] [SPEAKER_14] So I would be so here for the Brady line.

[00:40:23] [SPEAKER_16] In fact, Brady, listen, uh, this is free money on the table. Take it or leave it. Brody to Brody. Podcast with Brady and maybe someone from, you know, the WWE, we sit down and just Brody down and have a chat about what's going on that week. I love that. Sell it to anybody. Anyone's buying. But yeah, when it going back to Devin, I also feel like for me, uh, you know, it's been, it's been so weird. Liana pulling back the curtain on the entire medium that we work in to see like what podcasting has become. Of course,

[00:40:53] [SPEAKER_16] there was the big boom that happened in the mid 2010s with serial and then everybody had a podcast and then they all went away. They all came back around the pandemic. And now podcasts are essentially celebrities sitting around on microphones talking with one another. And so to your question of is Devin too famous? I'd say he's famous enough to be a podcaster nowadays.

[00:41:14] [SPEAKER_14] That's a good point. Yeah. Like with the Amy Poehlers of it all, uh, smart list being as popular as it is like that's, um, yeah, that's interesting. That makes sense. Huh? Okay. I could see it. I could absolutely see it. I think we need it. You like you work your magic marketing brain. You can come up with an idea for him as well. And then, uh, and then he can go ahead and steal it and just give you a few percentage points in the,

[00:41:36] [SPEAKER_16] on the revenue all the way with Devin way. I'm already making merch for it.

[00:41:40] [SPEAKER_14] Hey, love it.

[00:41:42] [SPEAKER_16] All right. Next up here, Liana in the open era. Who's about to get open fired on who is the most likely to have an advantage, screw them over or go home with an idol or have a celebrity branded new found twist and their game.

[00:42:00] [SPEAKER_14] Okay. This was just a gut response that then I worked backwards on for my explanation. Okay. So bear with me. I said, Mike, I don't know why it was in my gut. I was like, Mike's getting screwed over. No offense, Mike. Should I call him? Should I, or do you, or do you like Rob? So Rob did not enjoy us talking about Rob. Do you, is it okay for us to say Mike or do we need to, what was Mike's? What's Mike's last name?

[00:42:27] [SPEAKER_16] Mike Pinsky. Okay.

[00:42:28] [SPEAKER_14] Mike P.

[00:42:29] [SPEAKER_16] Mikey P. It's, it's totally fine. First off, cause that's too close to Mikey B. And actually to that point, I think unlike Rob, who didn't have the name Rob appear on survivor for quite some time. There are 101 mics that have played this show. I am the least popular survivor might even be affiliated with the show survivor. So please, by all means, come by his government name.

[00:42:51] [SPEAKER_14] Yeah. Okay. Great. So anyway, so I, the, my backwards logic to get to Mike was here's a guy who is, again, when I think of baseball executive, I think of math and I think of math and I think of money ball. And I think of like predicting exact stats and knowing exactly the number that goes with the other number and like all the numbers. And so I just imagine him being like super analytical and like this plus this equals this. And we move this piece here and chest, chest, chest, math, math, math.

[00:43:19] [SPEAKER_14] And then the open era just throws that out the window. And Mike just goes home for some crazy circumstance that he, the math never foresaw. I think that that would be very poetic. So I said, Mike,

[00:43:31] [SPEAKER_16] I love it. I love it. The money ball, uh, mentality has them striking out in glorious fashion. Boom. All right. I went with the aforementioned Rob, Rob a, I think it's because I mentioned it before. I know Rob brought it up on the draft to mix reception, but I am just seeing this Boston, Tony persona within this man. And I think as much as he's been talking about, like,

[00:43:57] [SPEAKER_16] I'm so glad I didn't play the game 20 years ago because I was this arrogant douche. Not to say that he's not an incredibly like well-rounded soft man nowadays, but like, I think he's going to go buck wild when he hits that jungle. He is also a content creator. I think he just naturally has this big energy that this restless mentality that's going to have him run around and do a bunch of different things. And oftentimes when you do a bunch of different things, most of which are going to backfire on you,

[00:44:24] [SPEAKER_16] either from a person perspective or from an advantage or an idol perspective, I can even see something where like he finds an idol and he tells too many people about it because he's so excited. And then he gets voted out with it. Like, I think that counts in this category.

[00:44:37] [SPEAKER_14] You know, Rob is an interesting one because when, um, when we did the draft, I didn't, I hadn't watched everything yet. And I watched his video when I was doing casuals corner prep. I was like, I think I'm obsessed with this man. Like there was just something about him. I kind of didn't want to take my eyes off of him. Maybe that's what it is. It's just that really intense nature. I do feel like he is so authentically himself as well. And that there's, I,

[00:45:07] [SPEAKER_14] I like, I'm trying to envision him just not, but like trying to not be himself. I just don't think that that is a possibility. So I can absolutely see this happening to, uh, to our good buddy, Rob.

[00:46:27] [SPEAKER_07] Slap me,

[00:46:27] [SPEAKER_02] jar something loose.

[00:46:28] [SPEAKER_03] Yes. I like that.

[00:46:30] [SPEAKER_07] The certified fresh series returns.

[00:46:32] [SPEAKER_00] Your boss. You always like this or is this just an, Oh no, this is mad.

[00:46:36] [SPEAKER_12] Oysters, everybody.

[00:46:39] [SPEAKER_11] There's a certain satisfaction when you work with someone.

[00:46:42] [SPEAKER_08] Maybe we could be a family.

[00:46:44] [SPEAKER_10] You sadistic pig.

[00:46:45] [SPEAKER_08] The paper new season streaming September 9th, only on Peacock.

[00:46:48] [SPEAKER_10] This show gives me a reason to live.

[00:46:51] [SPEAKER_16] All right. Next up. Most likely. And these are a couple of miscellaneous categories from a survivor. 50. Who's most likely to hold a fashion show at camp. Now I feel like I went with someone who is used to not only hawking merchandise, but doing so in a very personable fashion.

[00:47:18] [SPEAKER_16] I have to give a big thumbs up to the looks that Linnea is going to be bringing to this fashion show.

[00:47:24] [SPEAKER_14] Mm hmm. Yep. Yeah. Um, she looks like Liv Tyler and I can't get it out of my head. Um, she's very beautiful. I can absolutely see her strutting it down the runway, but I think that this is actually a very competitive season for our fashion queens. Like we already talked about the thick ass pants of Louis. Um, I think Devin was very stylish in his photo. My answer was Pat because I think it's Pat boots. The house down.

[00:47:52] [SPEAKER_14] Pat's outfit is so good. I'm like absolutely obsessed with it. She's my new fashion icon. So, um, I'm going for Pat.

[00:48:00] [SPEAKER_16] I love that. You have that down pat.

[00:48:02] [SPEAKER_14] I have it down.

[00:48:03] [SPEAKER_16] Do you think they're going to have a fashion show? Like, do you think they're going to try to reheat 50s nachos? I mean, like, Hey, we saw them do this thing. Can we do this thing too?

[00:48:11] [SPEAKER_14] Oh, that's interesting. I hope not. I hope that they're like, we're going to, we're going to do our own thing. We're not going to have a fashion show. We're going to have a, the only thing that's popping in my head is a cat show. And I don't know where they're going to get a bunch of cats. So you mean like, make it happen.

[00:48:26] [SPEAKER_16] Like a dog show,

[00:48:26] [SPEAKER_14] but with cats. Have you ever been to a cat show?

[00:48:29] [SPEAKER_16] I've never been to a cat show.

[00:48:30] [SPEAKER_14] Awesome. There. It's so weird because all the things that they look for in cats, they just like, they have them like scratch on a post and they like lean up like this. And they're like, wow, that's a good body.

[00:48:40] [SPEAKER_16] This is so weird. This feels very, very objectifying. Is this where they take like the people who get canceled from the Miss universe patch? It's like, you have to touch the cat shows. Okay. Don't be pervy towards these cats.

[00:48:52] [SPEAKER_14] Yeah, you can do that. That we're fine with that. Plus the FBI took bestiality off the list.

[00:48:56] [SPEAKER_15] It's fine. It's fine.

[00:48:57] [SPEAKER_16] Do they like, I think they don't dog shows. They separate them obviously into like breeds. Do they do that with cats? they're just big one cat pile.

[00:49:05] [SPEAKER_14] You know, my TikTok algorithm hasn't made it that far yet, but I'll keep an eye out and I'll let you know.

[00:49:10] [SPEAKER_16] What's the difference between a cat show and a pat show? Yeah.

[00:49:13] [SPEAKER_14] Pat show. Yes.

[00:49:15] [SPEAKER_15] Pat show down cats boots the house down. I don't know.

[00:49:21] [SPEAKER_14] It's late. I'm tired. We're getting blue here, but yes, I'm, I'm so here for Pat. Let's go, Pat.

[00:49:26] [SPEAKER_16] Well, we actually are going to go blue for this final category. And it's, it's in lieu of your friend and mine, the great Dr. Christian Hubicki. Liana, who's either going to be so excited. So taken by the elements, or perhaps so scared of what the open air is providing that they poop their pants on survivor.

[00:49:46] [SPEAKER_15] I did say Christian because his name is Christian. He's like,

[00:49:51] [SPEAKER_16] not all Christians. Liana, I don't know what the nomination he is,

[00:49:55] [SPEAKER_15] but also like, I don't know. I just kind of see it. And I will not explain. I mean, he has this very, like,

[00:50:03] [SPEAKER_16] like naive is a weird way to put it. He has a very innocent persona. Yeah. Like,

[00:50:07] [SPEAKER_15] yeah, exactly.

[00:50:08] [SPEAKER_14] You're just like, Oh, Christian, like you got this buddy. I think he's going to eat something and it's going to cause some gastrointestinal distress.

[00:50:18] [SPEAKER_16] I, I could absolutely see that. Uh, I went with Ori kind of, kind of in line with that. First off, this guy eats, uh, not only his look, but like he talks all the time about how much food that he eats. So I could absolutely see and be like, Oh yeah, sure. That's probably is ripe enough. Sure. Well, I just, I'm hungry. Let me give it. Oh God. Why do I feel so awful afterwards? And also I feel like this guy is incredibly athletic, right? Condition as a football player to give it your all, no matter what, uh, what is it like?

[00:50:46] [SPEAKER_16] pain is just your body telling you to quit. Uh, I think he has that mentality. I think pooping your pants is your body telling you like, okay, well, I'm trying everything to get you through buddy. I'm jettisoning all the weight. I possibly can't keep us alive.

[00:51:00] [SPEAKER_15] Whatever advantage it takes.

[00:51:03] [SPEAKER_16] So I, I feel like I could just see a situation where like Ori is pushing heavy blocks of the challenge so hard that like he, he's, you know, lying on the ground by the end, exhausted. And there's like a very suspect stain on the back of his pants.

[00:51:16] [SPEAKER_15] It was just like, Hmm. Hmm.

[00:51:19] [SPEAKER_14] Yeah. All right. I like that universe. I'm hoping it plays out.

[00:51:22] [SPEAKER_16] Any other people you wanted to highlight here? We didn't talk about Anna. we didn't talk about Eric, jelly, Jenna. Uh, we talk about Maggie or, uh, Tanan.

[00:51:36] [SPEAKER_14] Hmm. Yeah. I mean, I had the opportunity to talk about everybody on the draft and especially given the, um, you know, the preseason coverage being what they are. I am excited for somebody named jelly. That's just so fun for me. Um, and, uh,

[00:51:50] [SPEAKER_16] I don't think we're ready for this jelly personally.

[00:51:52] [SPEAKER_14] I am not. Um, and I did see Eric. We spent a lot of time in the draft talking about Eric's, uh, photo. He did. I, he put out a tech talk that explained his outfit and he's like very inspired. It was like very Freddy Krueger. He was inspired by like black and red and Disney villains and Jafar and things like that. And he mentioned all of that. So I thought that that was very fun. So, um, I'm excited. I'm still excited for him. I'm a little bit more nervous for him now, but I am excited.

[00:52:16] [SPEAKER_16] And I'm sorry, man. If you are inspired by all of these baddies, how are you blanching at the idea of like, I can't believe they made me rub my heads together. Like here I am dressing in the hybrid costume of three villains. How dare you make me pose like a villain?

[00:52:32] [SPEAKER_15] Exactly. It was like,

[00:52:35] [SPEAKER_14] bro, you chose red and black, like classic iconography for villain.

[00:52:39] [SPEAKER_16] Should they do more unique poses with people's hands?

[00:52:43] [SPEAKER_14] Okay. The ones that live rent free in my head are Jonathan's. Where's my hug? Obviously. Something different.

[00:52:50] [SPEAKER_16] Creed with arms wide open.

[00:52:52] [SPEAKER_14] Yeah. Something different, something unique. Eric rubbing his hands like this. Like I love the poses that are also like mid movement too. Like I'm kind of obsessed with that. I mean, my favorite thing, of all, of all things in big brother are the intros when they get to like stand there and sway weirdly. It's just so fun. It's so stupid. So yes, more interesting photos. Please have the photo display their personality overtly. Thank you very much.

[00:53:17] [SPEAKER_16] Well, listen, maybe we're only a few years away from the cast photo becoming the cast gift. And it's just a few frames of them doing some sort of pose or action.

[00:53:26] [SPEAKER_14] I think it was, I don't remember what B roll it was from, but Zeke like hopped in a tree. Yes. I want that as the photo. I want hugging a tree as your photo. That's awesome. I'm so here for it.

[00:53:37] [SPEAKER_16] I love when they capture that footage because there's such limited stuff around. That's like, yeah, toss that coconut. What do you do? Supply chain manufacturer. Sure. Play in the sand. That's applicable to your job, right? Figure out the inventory.

[00:53:52] [SPEAKER_15] Go sort those rocks. That all makes sense. It's fine.

[00:53:58] [SPEAKER_14] Oh man. But yeah. So anyway, I think that that kind of covers, I don't know if there's anybody else you really want to deep dive into, but I think, I think I'm just ready to see him play, man.

[00:54:10] [SPEAKER_16] I think so too. I think we're going to have a lot more to say about them once their feet actually hit the sand and hopefully no poop will be hitting the sand as well. Immediately after.

[00:54:20] [SPEAKER_14] Well, you know, we may not, I'm going to just not acknowledge that. We may not.

[00:54:24] [SPEAKER_16] You don't much like Ori's poop pants.

[00:54:27] [SPEAKER_14] Just moving. Yeah, exactly. Look, it's, it's an asset and ass. Okay. So we may not have a lot more to say about the survivor contestants, but the casuals on Facebook certainly did. Now, while there was limited coverage put out in the, or the preseason, there were still some videos that were dropped on the survivor Facebook page. So I did my due diligence. I went to the Facebook page and I have pulled some choice comments that the

[00:54:54] [SPEAKER_14] casuals on Facebook have left regarding certain contestants. So while it was buried and took me a long time to find, they did post some individual videos about some of the contestants. So Mike, I'm going to read for you two comments that refer to a particular player. And let's see if you can guess who that player is. I'm giving you a little bit of a bone. There's not as much out there. Okay. Let's see. We're trying to make this fair. Okay.

[00:55:22] [SPEAKER_14] So these comments are about the same person.

[00:55:27] [SPEAKER_16] Gotcha.

[00:55:28] [SPEAKER_14] Okay. Your first pair of comments. And I've changed, Oh, by the way, I've changed the pronouns when I can to be gender neutral, to not help you. I like them already. That means I don't expect them to win.

[00:55:44] [SPEAKER_16] Oh, that's more of a cell phone than anything.

[00:55:48] [SPEAKER_14] And the second comment about the same person. So this is the Riz God of the season. Interesting.

[00:55:56] [SPEAKER_16] That's another great cast photo pose. I think.

[00:55:59] [SPEAKER_14] I would love that. I would love one of these.

[00:56:02] [SPEAKER_16] I feel like big brother really likes to do the hands on the face. Like I think of Riley's home alone cast photo. That's been burned in my retinas forever. Again, not a lot of hands to the face when it comes to survivor, but it's because they're full body shots. So they're more so like, put your hands anywhere, but your face.

[00:56:17] [SPEAKER_14] I guess. Yeah.

[00:56:19] [SPEAKER_16] Some voguing for the beach. Come on. Well, I will see if my answer is in Vogue right now. Okay. So if we're thinking about this is the Riz God of the season. I mean, Kilby is the clear answer just from like, Oh, this is the nerd perspective. I'm trying to think about like who else could fit in there. You know, Christian has more of a bookish personality, but that's not really who Rizzo is.

[00:56:43] [SPEAKER_16] The only other person I would think of is Lewis because he's very lean and tall, which is that Rizzo vibe, especially after, you know, 52 days of playing the game straight pretty much. But let me go Occam's razor here and go with Kilby.

[00:56:58] [SPEAKER_14] You got there, Mike, but you ended up pivoting last minute. It was Lewis actually. Who my God. Yeah. I think it's the chaos. I think it's that agent of chaos that when people think of Rizzo, that's still what they are. There's still an element of that there. It could be the lankiness. I actually didn't consider that as part of the answer. I just kind of assumed it was a little bit of the, like the, the new, I'm not afraid to kind of mess with the status quo type ness, even though really, if you look at Rizzo's game, that's not Rizzo at all.

[00:57:26] [SPEAKER_16] So that's exactly it. Like the, like that's not what his game has been, even for two seasons. Like he was an underdog in his first season. And his second season, he was like there and made some moves, but like certainly was not this mischief maker. Then I think he may be appeared to be to us.

[00:57:45] [SPEAKER_14] Yeah. Yeah, exactly. But I think it's always, that's, it's always interesting to see what kind of what the, whether incorrect or not, the legacy that certain players can, or the impression, I guess I should say that certain players can leave. And I think that, um, that definitely seems to be a little bit of the stick on Rizzo, because I will say that was not the only comment comparing him to Rizzo. There was a number of comments comparing him to Rizzo.

[00:58:07] [SPEAKER_16] So interesting to Louis God.

[00:58:10] [SPEAKER_14] Oh boy. Imagine them meeting. All right, let's move on to our next contestant. So again, these two comments are about the same person. You get my vote to see what you can like.

[00:58:25] [SPEAKER_16] Okay. Wait, I was, hold on. Let's just break down this in text. Like I'm diagramming a sentence. You get my vote to see the things you like.

[00:58:33] [SPEAKER_14] To see what you can like.

[00:58:35] [SPEAKER_16] You get my vote to see what you can like. So just let me walk through the conditional elements of this right here. Like the diagram of the tree. So that, okay. Okay. So this person that they're talking about doesn't know what they can possibly like. They're limited. Their options are incredibly limited. The blinders are on.

[00:58:55] [SPEAKER_16] So if we were to hold some sort of democratic process to give this survivor player the opportunity to see the options of which they could like, which they still don't need to, but at least give them free will to do so. They would earn their vote. Yep. You nailed it. That's incredibly charitable. Does that help?

[00:59:15] [SPEAKER_14] Do you know who that's about?

[00:59:17] [SPEAKER_16] Yes, exactly. I know I have a couple names in my mouth, but let's read the second one just to make sure, just to clarify.

[00:59:25] [SPEAKER_14] Smart call. This will definitely clear things up. Immediate. Enthusiastic. Yes. In all caps.

[00:59:33] [SPEAKER_16] Okay. So the enthusiastic, I don't think describes them and more so describes the way the person is feeling. So that neither one of these help because the second one was the way this person made them feel. The first one is chat GPT generated garbled nonsense of the English language. So I got to take a literal shot in the dark here. But if we're talking about like immediate enthusiastic, yes, I'm trying to think about like who really popped off the screen in their interview with their personality.

[01:00:04] [SPEAKER_16] I'm going to go with. I would not say Brady because I feel like people might say Brady's cringe because of the whole bro. He act that he put on. So I'm going to go with. I'll go with Kristen.

[01:00:21] [SPEAKER_14] Okay. That is incorrect.

[01:00:24] [SPEAKER_16] Yeah. Yep.

[01:00:25] [SPEAKER_14] I figured it was Rob. Oh, okay. People are really high on Rob. Now. I will say, I will say, and I didn't read these on purpose because I wanted to do at least be somewhat of a challenge. I get Tony Vlachos vibes from this guy, Boston accented Rob, which I know is a pretty good comment.

[01:00:48] [SPEAKER_16] Boston accented Rob.

[01:00:49] [SPEAKER_14] Exactly. Yeah. A lot of people comparing him to Boston Rob and a little bit of Tony Vlachos in there as well. So I think that the casuals are very excited for Rob for that reason.

[01:00:59] [SPEAKER_16] That's very, very fun. It's like, listen, by name alone and location alone, you got me. Don't screw it up, Rob.

[01:01:06] [SPEAKER_14] Exactly. Okay. Well, here's another player that the casuals are also very high on. They have the potential to win. They know the game and they look fit and sturdy.

[01:01:21] [SPEAKER_16] Everybody called sturdy.

[01:01:23] [SPEAKER_15] Sturdy.

[01:01:23] [SPEAKER_16] My winner. You look like a tall breeze of wind can't blow you over.

[01:01:28] [SPEAKER_15] Real sturdy. I know one thing people aren't saying about Rizzo. Real sturdy.

[01:01:33] [SPEAKER_14] All right. The last comment, or the second comment is my winner pick for our league.

[01:01:39] [SPEAKER_16] Okay.

[01:01:40] [SPEAKER_14] Who trusts, who do they trust enough to bring home the win in their survivor league?

[01:01:46] [SPEAKER_16] Who's sturdy? Can you read the first comment again? Cause all I'm stuck on is that last adjective.

[01:01:52] [SPEAKER_14] They have the potential to win. They know the game and they look fit and sturdy. Okay.

[01:01:59] [SPEAKER_16] I'm trying to think about who specifically said they know the game. I feel like, Hmm. Is it Linnea? Cause Linnea talked about like rugby injuries and stuff like that.

[01:02:17] [SPEAKER_14] People were very high on Linnea as well, but this is actually your guest from before Kristen.

[01:02:24] [SPEAKER_16] Oh, okay. Congratulations, Kristen. You're very sturdy.

[01:02:28] [SPEAKER_14] Very sturdy. And not a compliment I would ever think to give anybody, but maybe I should, maybe I should start doing that.

[01:02:34] [SPEAKER_16] Is that something that they adjudicate cat bodies on at the cat pageant?

[01:02:38] [SPEAKER_14] Very sturdy.

[01:02:39] [SPEAKER_16] Very sturdy. Maybe. Pushing against this thing and it won't fall over.

[01:02:42] [SPEAKER_15] Move at all.

[01:03:47] [SPEAKER_02] May I present to you the award winning staff of the Toledo Truth Teller. Slap me. Let's jar something loose.

[01:03:52] [SPEAKER_03] Ay yes! I like that.

[01:03:53] [SPEAKER_07] The certified fresh series returns.

[01:03:56] [SPEAKER_00] You're a boss. You always like this? Or is this just an, oh no, this isn't it?

[01:04:00] [SPEAKER_12] Oysters everybody!

[01:04:03] [SPEAKER_11] There's a certain satisfaction when you work with someone.

[01:04:06] [SPEAKER_08] Maybe we could be a family.

[01:04:08] [SPEAKER_10] You sadistic pig!

[01:04:09] [SPEAKER_08] The Paper. New season streaming September 9th only on Peacock.

[01:04:12] [SPEAKER_10] This show gives me a reason to laugh.

[01:04:15] [SPEAKER_14] All right, your next contestant. I'd be happy to be in an alliance with them. You're good looking when clothed.

[01:04:25] [SPEAKER_15] Hope you're good looking topless. Yes.

[01:04:27] [SPEAKER_16] Okay. FBI. Where's Robert Pattinson as Chris Hansen coming in? Is this a sting operation?

[01:04:36] [SPEAKER_15] Exactly.

[01:04:37] [SPEAKER_16] Oh, God. What an incredibly unnerving thing to say. Like, God, I can't wait to see you in your underwear. Sir, this is where you wish your grandmother a happy birthday. This is a platform to reconnect with people who went to your high school. Do not make these comments about a stranger on a TV show. Okay. So this is someone who is incredibly appealing, not only to the eyes, but I guess to the whims of the fandom.

[01:05:04] [SPEAKER_16] God, even I feel weird now being like, all right, who's got that quality? Yeah, who do you want to see topless, Mike? Okay. All right. Who do I want to objectify here? Let's go... I'm going to go Pat. Why not?

[01:05:25] [SPEAKER_14] All right. It is not Pat. It is your namesake, Mike. Look at you, Mike. Look at you, Mike. Yes. You're good looking when clothed. Hope you're good looking topless. So... And people would like to be in alliance with him. You know what?

[01:05:42] [SPEAKER_16] I should have realized that the term topless specifically should have discounted the entire group of women unless this person's really sticking their neck out.

[01:05:48] [SPEAKER_15] It's like, oh, good to see some ta-ta. It's open air. I'm more like open tops. Am I right?

[01:05:55] Oh, God.

[01:05:56] [SPEAKER_15] Drop your tops. I got a cat show to watch later. Meow. Yeah. Come on in, tops. Oh, wait. Hold on.

[01:06:05] [SPEAKER_17] Maybe that's a different season.

[01:06:06] [SPEAKER_14] Gay survivor. Okay. Great. So...

[01:06:11] [SPEAKER_16] I'm 0 for right now. Really?

[01:06:13] [SPEAKER_14] Just...

[01:06:14] [SPEAKER_16] Not a great batting average, Mike.

[01:06:16] [SPEAKER_14] Honestly, the comments were really bad. Okay. You got a couple more shots at it, though. So I believe in you. Okay. Here are your next two comments. A new vein of clarity. Good for you. Cheering you on. That was the first comment. Vein of clarity. A vein of clarity.

[01:06:39] [SPEAKER_16] That sounds like a term you find in a medical textbook from like 1872 of like, if he has a blood condition, strike. The vein of clarity. The vein of clarity. And throw 3,000 leeches onto it.

[01:06:54] [SPEAKER_14] Exactly. Yes. Use the leeches until the vein has clarity. Okay. Well, and did that help your medical terms?

[01:07:04] [SPEAKER_16] We'll see. We'll see. Vein of clarity.

[01:07:06] [SPEAKER_14] Well, your next comment I think is really going to help. If you want me to pay to watch in Australia, then I'm not watching.

[01:07:17] [SPEAKER_16] Great. This is not an airport. You don't need to announce your departure. Great. Okay. So who is having someone in Australia and rage quit the show? Yes. And publicly declare so. And also the vein of clarity. So it seems like if there was someone to reach again, this point of clarity preseason, it was Sharonda talking about again, I'm doing this for me. But was there someone else who was talking about like looking to find themselves?

[01:07:46] [SPEAKER_16] You know, the vein, the vein of clarity is an amazing term. Like a prog rock album that tanked. In 1996. I'm going to go with Alexis.

[01:08:06] [SPEAKER_14] Should have stuck with your first answer. Oh, my God. And also with the medical term. I was like, my medical.

[01:08:15] [SPEAKER_16] She's dealing with a lot of veins.

[01:08:16] [SPEAKER_14] A lot of veins. Okay. Look, I mean, I'm going to give you a pity point for both the Lewis and the Sharonda answer because these are pretty terrible. So we'll go with that. But you still don't worry. You're almost there because I believe you can get it on this next one. Okay. Yes. So you're not a super fan. You think that will get you far? Jeez, Louise.

[01:08:41] [SPEAKER_16] Holy moly.

[01:08:43] [SPEAKER_14] Holy moly. Goodness gracious. All right. That was your first comment. Your second comment is these casting costumes are ridiculous, especially the farmer kid that looks like he was in the movie Deliverance. No farmer I know looks like that. Is that CBS's idea of what a farmer looks like?

[01:09:03] [SPEAKER_16] Okay. So I'm trying to figure out if this is directly referencing the person's outfit or if this is, again, just more so a platform for someone to go on a tangent. Because when we talk about not a super fan, I mean, Pat was one of the people who was most explicitly saying, like, I'm not really a super fan. Like, I know Ori isn't, but I don't remember if he said that in his video. I can't imagine that he did. Like, Pat was the one who was really vocal about it.

[01:09:32] [SPEAKER_16] So I feel like, let me look at Pat's cast photo right now. I don't think she actually had. I mean, it's yeah. I mean, it's a long skirt and a sleeveless top. If they consider that a costume, go back to Party City. I'm going to I guess I'll go with Pat, I guess, based on the first statement.

[01:09:52] [SPEAKER_15] That is correct.

[01:09:53] [SPEAKER_16] Oh, my God. Thank God.

[01:09:55] [SPEAKER_15] And they should go back to Party City. Because, yeah.

[01:09:58] [SPEAKER_14] So I'm not sure why that outfit of all the outfits is so ridiculous. But I just like I love the farmer kid from Deliverance as like a concept. So, I mean, is that is that Carter?

[01:10:13] [SPEAKER_16] No, that's I imagine that's Lewis because he's got like the ratty, maddy kind of shirt. Yes. And the big pants.

[01:10:20] [SPEAKER_14] Okay. Okay. That makes sense because I don't consider Lewis's outfit like that's not the first thing that I think of. So anyway. Yes.

[01:10:28] [SPEAKER_16] I think that Carter is wearing jeans and like a plaid shirt. Like that is more, again, farmer to me than like hillbilly. Like Lewis's feels like swamp king.

[01:10:38] [SPEAKER_14] Yeah. I'm surprised I didn't mention Maggie's overalls. Maybe they hadn't gotten her video by that stage. Yeah.

[01:10:44] [SPEAKER_16] I mean, she absolutely has like, well, I would say the most farmer centric type of wear. But Carolyn did wear overalls on the show. Shan wore overalls. So I think they're repurposing the look. That's true.

[01:10:56] [SPEAKER_14] All right. You're you're on the board officially. No pity points needed. You're taking them back. Yeah. Now I take it back. You don't need it anymore. All right. Well, but I think you can bring it home strong. Let's go into our last contestant here. Hate this person already. But love that they want to shank their enemies. Heart emoji.

[01:11:21] [SPEAKER_16] OK.

[01:11:22] [SPEAKER_14] Or your next comment is wild guard. Like that horse you place as third because it might just slip up and be first.

[01:11:31] [SPEAKER_16] But the horse wouldn't slip up. Every other horse would slip up.

[01:11:36] [SPEAKER_15] I just like this Stephen Bradbury strategy of it. Exactly. Like everybody else is going to fall down.

[01:11:41] [SPEAKER_16] Because they may win by accident.

[01:11:43] [SPEAKER_15] Everybody else will fall down. Every time.

[01:11:44] [SPEAKER_16] Every time. OK. So now I have to think about who said they were going to shank their enemies.

[01:11:50] [SPEAKER_14] Yeah.

[01:11:51] [SPEAKER_16] Oh. I mean, unless that was their specific term. I.

[01:11:57] [SPEAKER_14] Oh, actually. Wait, before you answer, let me just give you some more context. From this actual comment, shank is in a single like a single quotes. Oh, OK. OK.

[01:12:07] [SPEAKER_16] So it's something they said directly.

[01:12:08] [SPEAKER_14] Yes.

[01:12:08] [SPEAKER_16] Who would say the term shank? You know who would say the word shank? Who's been to prison? Frickin frickin killer. Kilby would say the word shank. He 100% would unironically be like, I'm going to shake my enemy.

[01:12:21] [SPEAKER_15] Yeah.

[01:12:24] [SPEAKER_16] Is that your answer? I'm going to go with. I got I'm going to. You know what? I'm going to finish where I started. Bring things back full circle and go with my first guess of Kilby.

[01:12:32] [SPEAKER_14] I love it. That got you your second legitimate point. Yeah. Congratulations, Mike. Round of applause. Um, yes, I just I couldn't get over the he's like the horse you place as third because it might just slip and win. I was like, what are you talking about?

[01:12:49] [SPEAKER_16] Put more stock in Kilby and put more stock in yourself, person. Like to pick your winner. Don't just pick them because you're like, well, if everyone else messes up, they can kind of win by default. So sure. I'm throwing in with you. Shanker.

[01:13:03] [SPEAKER_14] Yeah. Um, there are a couple other funny comments. Um, Devin got both. I predict he's the first off and he's got the most winner energy out of everybody. So they're a little bit all over the place. Um, Linnea's was funny because they were all a little clutching pearls about her job, especially the idea that she does it with her brother. They really like were having a little bit up in arms about that. But general consensus is I really like her and I'm tired. And I'm going to guess this wasn't I'm going to hope it was intentional.

[01:13:33] [SPEAKER_14] I'm tired of all the soft people play hard. So, uh, so yeah. Yeah.

[01:13:43] [SPEAKER_16] We tracked down that person to bring him on as a guest of the B&B because that is

[01:13:46] [SPEAKER_14] you're right up our alley. Let's go.

[01:13:48] [SPEAKER_16] Not use anything soft.

[01:13:50] [SPEAKER_14] We go exactly full hard here. Jenna, um, Jenna's middle school teacher is rooting for her, by the way. So also shout out to Jenna's middle school teacher.

[01:14:00] [SPEAKER_16] Did you give any intel as to the type of student Jenna was in middle school?

[01:14:04] [SPEAKER_14] Uh, no, the only the comment was team Jenna all the way from one of your middle school teachers. Um, and then the next comment I had in case I did Jenna was you will go far zero threat.

[01:14:17] [SPEAKER_16] Wow. Wow. The definition of a backhanded compliment.

[01:14:20] [SPEAKER_14] Exactly. I was like, oh, they're really rooting for Jenna. Oh no, nevermind.

[01:14:24] [SPEAKER_16] Is there anyone who's a teacher in the comments? Please let me know. Like I am always in wonder that people remember their students all these years later because it's been a second since Jenna was in middle school. I cannot imagine that if I was told someone from my town was going to be on this show, I, unless I had, you know, voluminous records from years upon years of teaching, I don't think I would be able to place the name with the face.

[01:14:51] [SPEAKER_14] I saw a Reddit thread that was like, yeah, we don't remember you. It was from teachers that were basically like, yeah, we don't really remember who you are. Um, but if, but we're going to pretend like we do.

[01:15:01] [SPEAKER_16] Yeah.

[01:15:03] [SPEAKER_14] So, so I don't know. Maybe, uh, maybe Jenna was okay. Well, Oh, you know what that means? That means Jenna was either super memorable because she was a really bad student or super memorable because she was a really good student. But either way, that middle school teacher remembered her.

[01:15:16] [SPEAKER_16] Yeah, that is true. Maybe there's like, uh, Oh my God, you're not going to be a Jenna door this year. All are you? Oh no.

[01:15:23] [SPEAKER_14] Yeah. And then she's going to tell the, the next year up eighth grade teachers be like, did you get Jenna in your class?

[01:15:29] [SPEAKER_16] Hey, did you hear Jenna door is going to be on survivor? They're like, God, good luck. Hope they hide the machete.

[01:15:40] [SPEAKER_14] Oh man. So yeah. So look, um, not, like I said, not really a ton out there. I would say this is like all the, typically there's, you know, a couple threads on Facebook that have, you know, hundreds of comments, not on threads, not, no, not on threads. Does anybody use threads? Anyway. So, um, so for, for this, it was a bit slim pickings. I'm not going to lie. A lot of them only had a handful of comments. So I don't know how hype the casuals are. I know obviously basically every season they say they're going to stop watching.

[01:16:09] [SPEAKER_14] So, um, we'll see if that actually comes to fruition, but otherwise I'm here. Let's do it.

[01:16:15] [SPEAKER_16] Well, we will certainly be watching. I imagine the next time we check in with the casuals, they are going to have many an opinion about these people glean from the significant amount of time we're about to spend with them.

[01:16:25] [SPEAKER_14] I hope so. I'm excited. I'm excited for whatever horses they're going to throw in fourth place. I can't wait.

[01:16:31] [SPEAKER_16] Well, we're excited to spend a significant time with you all as well throughout the season on the BNB. Again, there's not a lot to expect and kind of everything to expect right now, based on what we know about the cast, based on what Jeff has told me and others about this season. I mean, you can expect us to come in here every week, try to look on the lighter side, try to make sense of what's going on and bring some fun and games along the way. And the way we close out those fun and games always is by spotlighting a charity or a cause

[01:16:59] [SPEAKER_16] that's important to us or to our guests. Listen, we do a lot of silliness in this season, but I think now more than ever, there's a lot of stuff happening in the world that also deserves to get some face time. And if you have the time or the means to be able to contribute to those causes, thank you all for doing so. So every week we spotlight a charity or a cause for you all to check out. There is no guest this week.

[01:17:26] [SPEAKER_16] So Liana, is there something you'd like to highlight this week?

[01:17:30] [SPEAKER_14] Yeah, I appreciate the opportunity to give out the charity this week because I was fortunate enough to be in Hawaii last week. And unfortunately, while we were there, Hurricane Lowell hit. It ended up being much closer to the Hawaiian Islands than anybody expected. And especially Kauai was significantly impacted. So the charity that I'd like to give out is the Kauai Hawaiian Food Bank.

[01:17:58] [SPEAKER_14] So it's kauai.hawaiianfoodbank.org. That's their website. And right on the front page, there is the ability to donate. It is the most immediate need right now. There are a ton of people still without power. We on Maui had roads washed away and a lot of devastation there. And we were far much further away from the hurricane. So I really, my sister and I have both given to this cause.

[01:18:26] [SPEAKER_14] So I really encourage everybody else to give what you can.

[01:18:30] [SPEAKER_16] Thank you for shouting that out. As we turn our attention to a different set of islands, we need to acknowledge the fact that a lot of these islands are being adversely affected by these, I would say, unseasonable weather patterns. But it become, unfortunately, more seasonable by the year. So thank you, Liana, for highlighting that. And we have officially weathered the storm that is the offseason. And the clouds have parted. And I am looking forward to some sunshine coming our way for the next few months on Survivor

[01:19:00] [SPEAKER_16] 51. Liana, any final thoughts to look ahead as we are, but what, 72 hours away from finally getting to see what this whole thing is going to be?

[01:19:09] [SPEAKER_14] I'm just, okay, this might sound, I don't know how this is going to come across, but I'm like actually excited, which I didn't know if I would be coming off of 50. Like, I think we talked about this with Dave Dorgensen, where it's kind of like, okay, the end of an era, like open era, blah, blah, blah. I'm like actually really stoked. I can't wait. I'm really excited for the episode. So I'm looking forward to this entire season. I think no matter what happens, I think we're going to learn something. It's going to be an adventure.

[01:19:37] [SPEAKER_16] It'll be a learning experience for us all.

[01:19:39] [SPEAKER_14] A learning experience, exactly. And hopefully we won't poop our pants.

[01:19:42] [SPEAKER_16] Hopefully not. We certainly won't be with all the games we'll have prepared each and every week. But that also includes, much like Jeff, you know, like to crowdsource ideas for the open era. We are very much in our open era mindset as well when it comes to games, when it comes to segments. If you all have any ideas, no matter how fleshed out they might be or not so much, please feel free to send any and all inklings our way. You can email us, R-H-A-P-B-N-B at gmail.com.

[01:20:12] [SPEAKER_16] That's the letter B, the letter N, the letter B at gmail.com. You can reach out to me at a Mike Bloom type. You can reach out to Liana as well, Liana, R-H-A-P. But yeah, if you have any ideas based on what you saw in the episode, based on Survivor in general, again, we run the whole freaking gamut about what's defined as a game and what's defined specifically as a Survivor game. Speaking of Survivor games, we've announced this a couple of times, but just to keep repeating it, we're doing something new for the patrons of R-H-A-P, at least for the first month or so.

[01:20:49] [SPEAKER_16] During R-H-A-P-Con, and we decided to try to do the same thing for Survivor. So at 7.30 p.m. Eastern, we are going to be doing a Survivor game, happy half hour. Naming is not our strong suit, if that's any indication. Where we're going to come on, I think we're going to do maybe a quiz about like the people, what we know of them, the limited information or perhaps some other stuff. But essentially, it's going to come on in the lead up to the episode every week to just get together and get into like that Survivor warmup mode before we finally hit the ground

[01:21:19] [SPEAKER_16] running when 8 p.m. Eastern hits. So if you're a patron of R-H-A-P, you should get a link to that. That'll be happening live again, 7.30 p.m. Eastern, I guess 6.30 p.m. Central. If you want to do 4.30 p.m. Pacific, if you're around, sure. Why the hell not? I'm excited to deal with Mary. Hopefully it goes over well. Liana, what would you like to plug out there? Because as much as people might have missed you in their ears, if they've been listening to the pal, you've been able to give them a healthy dose of Liana over the course of the past few months.

[01:21:48] [SPEAKER_14] Yes. While Pouya abandoned me to go to Milwaukee and record with you on the pal, we did record a follow-up episode to that. Obviously, as I mentioned, we were out of town, so we didn't record then, but we will have another episode recording tomorrow night that'll be coming up to talk about the trip and talk about the end of Big Brother and get more of Pouya's thoughts on the Survivor cast as well.

[01:22:10] [SPEAKER_16] Okay, perfect. And of course, you can check out anything and everything I am doing when it comes to Survivor 51. I've got a couple more things in the hopper for the preseason. I did ask the cast before the season, what's their biggest strength and what's their biggest weakness? Their kryptonite. I got the strength answers out. Then I'll be putting out the kryptonite answers as well. You could hear what everyone thinks they suck at before they end up entering the game, and maybe they'll suck it a lot more. Who's to say?

[01:22:36] [SPEAKER_16] I mentioned this before as well, but a lot of stuff I talked about here, getting clarification from Jeff as to how the open era came to be, what it's going to involve, et cetera, et cetera. I'll be putting that out in written form over at Parade, where he gives a lot more quotes about, again, how he approached the new era as opposed to the open era, what that might mean in terms of limitless possibilities. I'm sure I'll have some other stuff. I got, you know, I think I got a couple of Jeff's thoughts on the premiere. I might have some stuff that I got from interviewing the cast on the red carpet.

[01:23:04] [SPEAKER_16] And of course, exit interviews with the person who will unfortunately be eliminated in the premiere. Plus, we've got Big Brother. We've got Amazing Race coming up next week. We are officially thrumming along Trader's New Blood as well. The reality TV season has officially reached a bit of critical mass. You know, the leaves are falling off the trees and gathering in piles in the forms of episodes that I get to watch each and every week. But I'm incredibly grateful for it.

[01:23:32] [SPEAKER_16] It has been, especially this week in particular, a very whirlwind week. And I could not think of a better stiff breeze to knock my not so sturdy ass over and blow me into the Survivor premiere coming on Wednesday.

[01:23:48] [SPEAKER_14] Mm hmm. Blow away, boys. Blow away.

[01:23:52] [SPEAKER_16] Please, please. There's only so much of me to go around. I'm not a soft boy. It's going to be real hard. Let's go. All right. Well, thank you all so much for listening. Liana, I'm so happy we are back. This is going to be ridiculous fun, no matter what is in store for the players and us. Again, let us know your game ideas. Let us know your thoughts about Survivor 51. If you want to give your own answers to our superlatives, please feel free to do so. Regardless, we'll be back next weekend with a guest talking about the premiere of Survivor

[01:24:21] [SPEAKER_16] 51. Until next time, everybody. We'll check you out at your next day.

[01:24:31] [SPEAKER_15] I see you.
