Survivor 50 Wish List Vote Reveal

Today, Mike Bloom, Rob Cesternino and Shannon Gus reveal the Top 20 contenders in the FINALE of the Survivor 50 Wish List!

[00:00:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Hi, everybody, and welcome to the finale of the Survivor 50 Wish List Podcast,

[00:00:15] [SPEAKER_03]: an offseason series where we're trying to figure out who could and should come back

[00:00:20] [SPEAKER_03]: for the upcoming season of Survivor 50.

[00:00:22] [SPEAKER_03]: And perhaps the last episode of the summer of Survivor.

[00:00:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Summer is on its way out, comes to an official end on Monday.

[00:00:30] [SPEAKER_03]: And so we have rounded the troops one more time to get together

[00:00:34] [SPEAKER_03]: on a Wednesday night before our Wednesday nights are occupied,

[00:00:38] [SPEAKER_03]: starting in mid-September for a very important job.

[00:00:41] [SPEAKER_03]: This summer, we have talked to every single Survivor contestant.

[00:00:45] [SPEAKER_03]: We have put a good amount of them on a fan voted ballot.

[00:00:49] [SPEAKER_03]: And now tonight we will get, as voted on by you,

[00:00:53] [SPEAKER_03]: the 20 Survivor contestants to make the fan cast of Survivor 50.

[00:00:59] [SPEAKER_03]: My name is Mike Bloom, and I am so happy to be here.

[00:01:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I've dressed up in a black tie affair.

[00:01:04] [SPEAKER_03]: I realize now, in retrospect, I look a lot like SpongeBob,

[00:01:08] [SPEAKER_03]: but that just means I'm ready.

[00:01:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm ready to talk about these people.

[00:01:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Actually, I didn't even realize that this is, I believe if my math is right,

[00:01:15] [SPEAKER_03]: our 50th Wish List Podcast, which works out incredibly fittingly.

[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_03]: So let's go around.

[00:01:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, I guess. Yeah.

[00:01:22] [SPEAKER_03]: And talk about who is here to join me.

[00:01:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Of course, you heard her melodious voice as you have been this entire summer.

[00:01:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Shannon Gush. Shannon, how are you?

[00:01:29] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm great. I love that you're dressed all fancy.

[00:01:31] [SPEAKER_01]: It's adorable. Yeah, I was like, wow, 50.

[00:01:34] [SPEAKER_01]: What are the odds? Right. Because you did one per season.

[00:01:36] [SPEAKER_01]: There were 46 seasons.

[00:01:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Then you did a couple of extras and now it's not amazing,

[00:01:40] [SPEAKER_01]: but it still feels cool.

[00:01:41] [SPEAKER_03]: All right. I know, you know, we're not amazed.

[00:01:43] [SPEAKER_03]: That's another show that's amazing, but it's superb, perhaps.

[00:01:46] [SPEAKER_03]: And of course, this man is very superb because this guy has been joining me

[00:01:49] [SPEAKER_03]: since the beginning, stopping in throughout the Wish List series

[00:01:52] [SPEAKER_03]: and may be one of the names we talk about tonight.

[00:01:56] [SPEAKER_03]: He is on a razor's edge right now.

[00:01:58] [SPEAKER_03]: It's Rob Sesternino.

[00:01:59] [SPEAKER_04]: Pins and needles, Mike.

[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_04]: Very excited to be back here with you both to talk about this.

[00:02:06] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, it was back in May

[00:02:10] [SPEAKER_04]: that is that when the summer Survivor started?

[00:02:12] [SPEAKER_04]: Is that when the Survivor 50 Wish List started?

[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_04]: And so to have it all come together tonight.

[00:02:17] [SPEAKER_04]: Amazing, Mike, what you have been able to do

[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_04]: with this wish list, the podcast,

[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_04]: the response, it has been absolutely a marvel to watch you cook.

[00:02:33] [SPEAKER_04]: And so, Mike, really just this is beyond

[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_04]: any expectations that we could ever imagine.

[00:02:41] [SPEAKER_04]: So congratulations.

[00:02:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you so much.

[00:02:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you are putting words in my mouth,

[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_03]: but I completely agree with everything you're saying.

[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_03]: And I know I've expressed this before when it comes to the top 50 reveal.

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I this morning on Twitter, you know, I shouted out each and every person

[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_03]: from the RHAP and Survivor community who joined me for those daily podcasts.

[00:03:01] [SPEAKER_03]: But I cannot express how much gratitude I have to everyone

[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_03]: who engaged with this project in some way, shape or form,

[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_03]: whether it's those that came onto the podcast, whether you listen to one,

[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_03]: whether you listen to all 50,

[00:03:16] [SPEAKER_03]: whether you voted in either round of the ballot to those who shared the ballot,

[00:03:20] [SPEAKER_03]: especially, again, the Survivor alumni who did who came out of the woodwork.

[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_03]: It just absolutely blew me away.

[00:03:27] [SPEAKER_03]: One of the happiest blindsides I've experienced in my life.

[00:03:30] [SPEAKER_03]: And this was it's not a labor of love if you love the labor.

[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_03]: And I had such a fulfilling time getting to do this no matter what happens.

[00:03:38] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm a journey over a destination type of person.

[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_03]: But I truly feel like Jeff has talked and will talk in a future interview with me

[00:03:46] [SPEAKER_03]: that will be posted at a later date about how he wants 50 to be a celebration

[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_03]: of this milestone season accomplished by this incredible show.

[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_03]: And no matter what happens with the cast we get tonight or the cast

[00:03:58] [SPEAKER_03]: we get on season 50 proper, getting the opportunity to really take a walk

[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_03]: down memory lane across nearly 25 years of the show

[00:04:06] [SPEAKER_03]: that we hold near and dear to our hearts was such an honor.

[00:04:10] [SPEAKER_03]: And a Jervis who did make the shortlist at one point.

[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_03]: And so I just so much love in my heart for everyone

[00:04:17] [SPEAKER_03]: who has engaged with this project in some way, shape or form.

[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_03]: And for you, Rob, for putting the trust in me to guide the ship.

[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, well, look, Mike, Survivor may not have the rites of passage anymore,

[00:04:26] [SPEAKER_04]: but you certainly went on a three month rites of passage

[00:04:30] [SPEAKER_04]: and went through every single person that has so far ever played this game.

[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_04]: And it's all to get us to tonight.

[00:04:39] [SPEAKER_03]: All right. So let's get to tonight, shall we?

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_03]: No more dilly dallying here, though.

[00:04:45] [SPEAKER_03]: On Summer Survivor we love to dilly dally.

[00:04:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's talk about what we're going to do.

[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_03]: So again, many people voted in this final round

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_03]: where we winnowed down the first ballot to the top 50 vote getters.

[00:04:57] [SPEAKER_03]: And tonight I have your top 20, the people that would fill out

[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_03]: this theoretical cast of Survivor 50.

[00:05:06] [SPEAKER_03]: And of course, we could only reveal this cast

[00:05:09] [SPEAKER_03]: in truly the most Survivor themed way possible.

[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_03]: And what's more Survivor themed than an island based show

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_03]: that is featuring more and more Survivor alum as the seasons pass?

[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's go a little deal or no deal ask, shall we, folks?

[00:05:26] [SPEAKER_01]: So what's more Survivor themed than an entirely different show?

[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. Also set on an island.

[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe next time we should do a Dondi wish list.

[00:05:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, oh, I mean, that's emphasis on short and short list.

[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_03]: But that's certainly something worth pursuing for a two day period.

[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_03]: But what I have set up for you tonight.

[00:05:46] [SPEAKER_03]: 20 cases in front of you.

[00:05:48] [SPEAKER_03]: I know there are no dummy amounts.

[00:05:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I am making no offers. Everything is final.

[00:05:53] [SPEAKER_03]: These are the 20 people in our fan voted cast of Survivor 50.

[00:05:59] [SPEAKER_03]: It's quite simple.

[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Shannon, Rob, you two are in the hot seat.

[00:06:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you are going to pick a number.

[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_04]: The banker either make a deal.

[00:06:06] [SPEAKER_03]: No, I'm I'm the Howie.

[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. Oh, could you not tell from like my shiny forehead?

[00:06:11] [SPEAKER_03]: But basically what we're going to do is you pick a number.

[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_03]: I reveal who that person is and maybe we'll talk about them.

[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_03]: And just to be completely transparent, I am going to shuffle the box.

[00:06:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, my God. I'm going to follow it.

[00:06:23] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God. You can do that.

[00:06:25] [SPEAKER_01]: I have friends who can do that on the arcade game.

[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Follows it. What are you following?

[00:06:28] [SPEAKER_04]: Number 13 where it went. Yes.

[00:06:31] [SPEAKER_01]: But how did you know?

[00:06:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Is that a 50 reference? Because that's where I'm going.

[00:06:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Go and pick my 13.

[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_03]: All right. So there you go.

[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_03]: You have one through 20 right now, the world's Royce.

[00:06:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Or by the end of this, we'll have our full cast of 20.

[00:06:42] [SPEAKER_03]: We'll give our thoughts on these people as we go along.

[00:06:45] [SPEAKER_03]: And let's we'll finally put this thing to bed after a very long night

[00:06:50] [SPEAKER_03]: over the course of three months. OK, man, it's been long.

[00:06:53] [SPEAKER_04]: All right, Mike, anything else you want to set up?

[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_04]: And again, just for to be clear with everybody, I know nothing.

[00:07:00] [SPEAKER_04]: I have Mike.

[00:07:01] [SPEAKER_04]: You can testify to this.

[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_04]: I have not wanted to know

[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_04]: anything about the vote, how it went, who's on the board.

[00:07:11] [SPEAKER_04]: I know exactly the same amount as the viewers and the listeners do.

[00:07:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes. There are only two people right now

[00:07:20] [SPEAKER_03]: who have the skeleton keys to who these 20 people are.

[00:07:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Myself and Sam or who I also have to thank alongside Scott St.

[00:07:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Pierre and Jess Sterling and everyone in our JP behind the scenes

[00:07:29] [SPEAKER_03]: for making sure all of those daily podcasts went out smooth as silk.

[00:07:34] [SPEAKER_03]: And so we are the only ones who know who these 20 are.

[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_03]: I will say, you know, I put out on social media a petition

[00:07:42] [SPEAKER_03]: that every vote counted, and that was very, very true.

[00:07:45] [SPEAKER_03]: The margin between number 20 in the votes and number 21

[00:07:50] [SPEAKER_03]: was 30 votes. OK.

[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Out of thousands. So it's crazy.

[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_03]: You all went out. You went to the polls.

[00:07:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we shall see.

[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Listen, everyone has their thoughts about how cast end up at the end of the day.

[00:08:03] [SPEAKER_03]: But thank you to everybody who did vote and let their voice be heard,

[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_03]: no matter what that voice might be.

[00:08:08] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. Also, shout out to all the survivors who mostly have been

[00:08:13] [SPEAKER_04]: pretty good sports about this and, you know, just damn good sportsmanship.

[00:08:18] [SPEAKER_04]: It's taking this for the exercise.

[00:08:20] [SPEAKER_04]: It is of that it is all in good fun.

[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think everyone's had a lot of fun with it.

[00:08:28] [SPEAKER_01]: And everyone's just been like really happy along the ride with no grievances.

[00:08:33] [SPEAKER_01]: So that's really good. That's what you want.

[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_03]: And if you and if you do have grievances about the cast at Shannon Gates on

[00:08:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Twitter, she is receiving them all with a smile and an open palm.

[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_01]: That's me. That's how I that's usually how I accept grievances.

[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_04]: OK, smile. All right. All right.

[00:08:48] [SPEAKER_04]: So we are going here until the top of the hour.

[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_04]: Also, two hour big brother coming up starting at eight o'clock.

[00:08:56] [SPEAKER_04]: I will be live to recap a two hour Wednesday night

[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_04]: big brother coming up at 1015.

[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_04]: So just the start of a long night here on the podcast.

[00:09:06] [SPEAKER_03]: And we'll get a two hour survivor premiere as well in just a few weeks from now.

[00:09:10] [SPEAKER_03]: So it's a good warm up, Rob.

[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_04]: OK. All right. Getting ready for my Wednesday night marathons.

[00:09:15] [SPEAKER_03]: All right. Well, let's see.

[00:09:17] [SPEAKER_03]: And how do we decide that?

[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's up to the two of you.

[00:09:20] [SPEAKER_04]: Should we just go whatever it's a random number.

[00:09:24] [SPEAKER_01]: It's one to 20. This is this paper.

[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Nope. Let's just go. We don't have all the time.

[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_01]: I want to be 13. I want to be 13.

[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_03]: All right. We're starting off with number 13.

[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's see if this is a lucky pick for Shannon.

[00:09:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Our first contestant on Survivor 50 is.

[00:09:38] [SPEAKER_03]: And what a banger to open up.

[00:09:42] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes. OK, what are Mike?

[00:09:45] [SPEAKER_04]: Are we learning anything else here other than this is one of

[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_03]: the people that I will not disclose any other information.

[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_03]: You could certainly ask a question along the way, but I do reserve the right

[00:09:55] [SPEAKER_03]: to plead the fifth.

[00:09:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Any surprises to see Angelina on here to make her way back to reality TV

[00:10:01] [SPEAKER_03]: after her sterling scripted cameo in The White Lotus season two?

[00:10:05] [SPEAKER_04]: Not a surprise here for me.

[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I didn't draw up a list or a full disclosure.

[00:10:09] [SPEAKER_04]: I did not vote. Don't get mad at me.

[00:10:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Anybody. You didn't vote after I said you should feel bad if you didn't vote.

[00:10:17] [SPEAKER_04]: I didn't feel like it was my place.

[00:10:19] [SPEAKER_01]: It is your place. Are you a watcher of the show?

[00:10:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you didn't have a place on the ballot. Yeah.

[00:10:23] [SPEAKER_04]: So no, this is not a surprise for me.

[00:10:27] [SPEAKER_04]: I feel like that this was like one of the people when you talk about

[00:10:31] [SPEAKER_04]: like who should come back for a season, who should have already been brought back.

[00:10:38] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. Can I have your Angelina, please?

[00:10:42] [SPEAKER_01]: I think we found out in some of the.

[00:10:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Dealer dealer.

[00:10:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. So, Angelina, one of the most snubbed people by covid

[00:10:54] [SPEAKER_01]: like I like the by the.

[00:10:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Ruling Angelina, yes, one of the people most screwed by covid in the history.

[00:10:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Survivor attorney terms of you don't don't don't send people to complain to me

[00:11:03] [SPEAKER_01]: and then put words in my mouth that will be taken to the out of context account

[00:11:06] [SPEAKER_01]: and look bad.

[00:11:08] [SPEAKER_01]: No, I mean, like there are some people from Ghost Island, not Ghost Island.

[00:11:10] [SPEAKER_01]: It's early from David versus Goliath, who would be like three time players

[00:11:14] [SPEAKER_01]: that they played in twenty seven, if not thirty seven.

[00:11:16] [SPEAKER_01]: But they're one time players because we did like winners at war

[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_01]: and then we went to the new era.

[00:11:20] [SPEAKER_01]: So those are people who have to come back soon.

[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_01]: And I expect them on the ballot definitely.

[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_01]: And Angelina is definitely one of them.

[00:11:26] [SPEAKER_04]: So, yeah, great pick, Shannon.

[00:11:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you. You did this.

[00:11:31] [SPEAKER_01]: This is going to be teams, right?

[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_01]: And it will go down to as the best team.

[00:11:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I like this. Yes, the voice style.

[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_04]: These are the tribes.

[00:11:37] [SPEAKER_03]: I will keep getting this up.

[00:11:39] [SPEAKER_03]: All right, Rob, then let's start drafting for your tribe.

[00:11:42] [SPEAKER_04]: Steven in the chat, not Stephen Fishback.

[00:11:44] [SPEAKER_04]: Steven C. said Rob needs to pick six.

[00:11:47] [SPEAKER_04]: So shout out to my friends back at the Amazon.

[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_04]: It's Butch's birthday today.

[00:11:52] [SPEAKER_04]: Shout out. Happy birthday, Butch Lockley.

[00:11:56] [SPEAKER_04]: I think you can give me number six.

[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, right. Rob does a pick six, which is hopefully not any

[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_03]: that Aaron Rodgers will throw in the NFL season.

[00:12:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Kelly, the mother.

[00:12:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Not bad. Not a bad pick.

[00:12:12] [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like people will be divided on the picks that have played multiple times.

[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. But for me, Kelly, if you're going to have someone who's played

[00:12:20] [SPEAKER_01]: multiple times, Kelly is like at the top of that list for me.

[00:12:23] [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like she's always got TV.

[00:12:24] [SPEAKER_01]: I always love seeing her back.

[00:12:25] [SPEAKER_01]: She was someone I wanted to see back.

[00:12:27] [SPEAKER_01]: I just feel like a lot of people want one time as well.

[00:12:29] [SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people want old school.

[00:12:30] [SPEAKER_01]: But I love Kelly.

[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_04]: Cannot quibble with the pick at all.

[00:12:33] [SPEAKER_04]: But I know, correct me if I'm wrong.

[00:12:35] [SPEAKER_04]: I thought that Kelly said she does not want to play again.

[00:12:39] [SPEAKER_01]: But but pretty intense research.

[00:12:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Did she did she clarify that?

[00:12:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I contacted her privately and she told me the reason

[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_03]: that she actually would be more.

[00:12:51] [SPEAKER_03]: OK, all right. Then now we know this is my news.

[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Your commitment to journalism like you in that tie as well.

[00:12:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Like your professional.

[00:12:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Now we know all good journalists wear ties.

[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_03]: That's our foot in the door.

[00:13:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's it. That's the one metric of that.

[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_01]: OK, OK, well, great.

[00:13:06] [SPEAKER_01]: This is a great start to the season.

[00:13:07] [SPEAKER_01]: This is good.

[00:13:08] [SPEAKER_03]: This is good.

[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_03]: It's an interesting representation, though, of especially what we saw

[00:13:12] [SPEAKER_03]: with the top 50, the various capacities that people voted in.

[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_03]: And it certainly garnered a lot of comments as to we really cut a wide swath

[00:13:18] [SPEAKER_03]: of like with not knowing the theme, the 50.

[00:13:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Is it legends?

[00:13:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Is it best to never win?

[00:13:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Is it second chance?

[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Is it only new era giving people kind of carte blanche to vote?

[00:13:28] [SPEAKER_03]: The results were understandably scattered.

[00:13:30] [SPEAKER_03]: And that's already reflecting here on our cast.

[00:13:32] [SPEAKER_03]: And now we have a four time player in this case and someone who hasn't returned yet.

[00:13:36] [SPEAKER_01]: I will say my one my one gripe.

[00:13:39] [SPEAKER_01]: I want her on Australian survival.

[00:13:42] [SPEAKER_01]: She covered a strand of with me this year.

[00:13:44] [SPEAKER_01]: I wanted for us like don't take up.

[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_01]: You have so many people, but that's a gripe.

[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_01]: The chat is saying mother convention already.

[00:13:50] [SPEAKER_04]: Mother convention. All right.

[00:13:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Early for survivor.

[00:13:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's see if we can keep it rolling.

[00:13:55] [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't have much of a choice after 13.

[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to go five my cat's birthday.

[00:14:01] [SPEAKER_03]: All right.

[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's see who Kelly's next door neighbor is.

[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_03]: T-Bird. Oh, wow.

[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Look how we keep it rolling.

[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes. Incredible.

[00:14:13] [SPEAKER_03]: No, we are doing what unfortunately the public could not.

[00:14:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Nearly a decade ago, the fans have given Teresa T-Bird Cooper

[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_03]: officially her second chance on Survivor 50.

[00:14:24] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes. Justice. Finally.

[00:14:27] [SPEAKER_04]: All these years later.

[00:14:28] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, that T-Bird would rock it.

[00:14:33] [SPEAKER_04]: She would be so great.

[00:14:36] [SPEAKER_04]: She is such a wonderful energy

[00:14:40] [SPEAKER_04]: and just like the nicest person ever.

[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_04]: But she's competitive.

[00:14:45] [SPEAKER_04]: She'd slit your throat, but she's so nice.

[00:14:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Don't tell people that right before 50.

[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_01]: I guess you whispered it. So it's fine.

[00:14:55] [SPEAKER_04]: No, I feel like this is not any survivor players watching Shannon.

[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, for sure.

[00:14:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Fans, they don't care about the players, don't care about what the fans think.

[00:15:02] [SPEAKER_04]: Which is good.

[00:15:04] [SPEAKER_01]: T-Bird, I hope that production look at this and realize that

[00:15:07] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what went wrong in 31 with the vote,

[00:15:10] [SPEAKER_01]: but T-Bird should have been on the season.

[00:15:11] [SPEAKER_01]: It was a great season anyway, but T-Bird should be on Survivor again.

[00:15:14] [SPEAKER_01]: I hope they know that we want T-Bird on the show.

[00:15:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Old school, one time non winner.

[00:15:20] [SPEAKER_01]: That's what most people want.

[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_01]: T-Bird, like absolutely representing.

[00:15:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Not to mention as well, I think an old schooler

[00:15:25] [SPEAKER_03]: that has a lot of connections to the new era, certainly someone

[00:15:28] [SPEAKER_03]: that watches all the seasons and obviously has many connections

[00:15:32] [SPEAKER_03]: throughout basically every era of Survivor.

[00:15:35] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, she really is a constant through this equation,

[00:15:38] [SPEAKER_03]: just through all the connections that she's been able to make.

[00:15:41] [SPEAKER_03]: And yeah, her energy, somebody should bottle that

[00:15:44] [SPEAKER_03]: because just the joie de vivre that she contains

[00:15:48] [SPEAKER_03]: has me certainly going for miles and miles every time I listen to her.

[00:15:51] [SPEAKER_04]: Just one of the greatest people ever, T-Bird.

[00:15:56] [SPEAKER_03]: All right, Rob, you're probably disappointed

[00:15:58] [SPEAKER_03]: that you couldn't add T-Bird to your team, but let's have the other one.

[00:16:01] [SPEAKER_04]: Are there even any men on this season?

[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_04]: Is this did you all voted all women?

[00:16:06] [SPEAKER_04]: Oops, all women for Survivor 50.

[00:16:08] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, that's very progressive.

[00:16:10] [SPEAKER_04]: Could you imagine if that was the theme?

[00:16:12] [SPEAKER_01]: All women, all women?

[00:16:13] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they should call it that.

[00:16:15] [SPEAKER_04]: What would they call it? No men.

[00:16:16] [SPEAKER_04]: No men island.

[00:16:18] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's really like a soft way to do it.

[00:16:20] [SPEAKER_03]: We're not going to say that's really market testing of like,

[00:16:22] [SPEAKER_03]: well, we're not going to say all women, but if we say no men,

[00:16:24] [SPEAKER_03]: that might come across as a better method.

[00:16:26] [SPEAKER_04]: Survivor 50, no men allowed.

[00:16:28] [SPEAKER_03]: OK, that sounds actually pretty good.

[00:16:30] [SPEAKER_04]: People would like it.

[00:16:31] [SPEAKER_04]: OK, all right. All right.

[00:16:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Some people would hate it.

[00:16:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Chris, who are you going to draft in Survivor all women?

[00:16:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Wow, I'm really, really going straight.

[00:16:39] [SPEAKER_01]: I woke up early for this crossover.

[00:16:41] [SPEAKER_04]: All right. The chat says Rob got to pick ten for our birthday month.

[00:16:44] [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you, Chris. OK, go for ten.

[00:16:47] [SPEAKER_03]: That's my tenth birthday month.

[00:16:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I love how you're doing this Price is Right style of just looking to the audience.

[00:16:50] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, Michael, is there a better system to base

[00:16:53] [SPEAKER_04]: the random number picking on?

[00:16:56] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know. You watch Donde.

[00:16:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Don't people come up with asinine strategies all the time?

[00:16:59] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm getting like a feeling from number 14.

[00:17:01] [SPEAKER_04]: We're going to open all of them.

[00:17:03] [SPEAKER_04]: It's not like we're going to pick two and they're not going to get on the cast.

[00:17:06] [SPEAKER_04]: That's true. There's no one.

[00:17:08] [SPEAKER_04]: Imagine if they did the Cambodia vote like that.

[00:17:10] [SPEAKER_04]: There's no whammy in there.

[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't think I mean, your mileage may vary.

[00:17:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was going to say that you should have showed us

[00:17:17] [SPEAKER_01]: and then turned it so we could follow it.

[00:17:18] [SPEAKER_01]: But then I'm like, no, then we would've seen the whole cast.

[00:17:20] [SPEAKER_03]: All right. Yeah.

[00:17:20] [SPEAKER_03]: All right. Number ten for Rob is.

[00:17:27] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, nailed it.

[00:17:28] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, you don't you have a strategy?

[00:17:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I hate this guy.

[00:17:32] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sad.

[00:17:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Not about who I'm sad to not have you on my team.

[00:17:36] [SPEAKER_04]: Sorry. Yeah.

[00:17:38] [SPEAKER_04]: My cat's going to the chances.

[00:17:40] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. Wow.

[00:17:42] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, incredible.

[00:17:43] [SPEAKER_03]: What are the chances? I mean, I mean, could we just say the 50 percent?

[00:17:48] [SPEAKER_04]: Because we I mean, maybe we should stop down

[00:17:52] [SPEAKER_04]: on just for a moment to acknowledge this achievement.

[00:17:56] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. That a poll of Rob's podcast listeners.

[00:18:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. Which Rob is that?

[00:18:03] [SPEAKER_04]: Rob's sister Nino. Yeah.

[00:18:05] [SPEAKER_04]: Has gotten in the top 20 of a vote.

[00:18:09] [SPEAKER_04]: Pretty incredible.

[00:18:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, like, I'm glad because if that hadn't have happened,

[00:18:15] [SPEAKER_01]: like I'd look worse, I would look worse.

[00:18:17] [SPEAKER_01]: That would be you never get to play.

[00:18:19] [SPEAKER_01]: That would be so much worse.

[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. We're coming up all dressed up with nowhere to go.

[00:18:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Truly flattered. I want to know.

[00:18:26] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, I don't think we're going to find that out.

[00:18:28] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. No, truly flattering.

[00:18:32] [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you all so much for the to the

[00:18:34] [SPEAKER_04]: the many people that voted for me to come back.

[00:18:40] [SPEAKER_04]: Truly an honor.

[00:18:42] [SPEAKER_03]: There we go.

[00:18:44] [SPEAKER_01]: And I do think as well in Survivor, no men allowed.

[00:18:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, you're allowed one man, one man, Homer and the No Homers Club.

[00:18:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the No Homers Club.

[00:18:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Rob is great for that.

[00:18:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Robin or women.

[00:18:54] [SPEAKER_01]: That's not and I think Nicole will be happy with that, too.

[00:18:56] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. So I was going to have T-Bird host the know it alls while I was gone.

[00:19:00] [SPEAKER_04]: But now or totally.

[00:19:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Wow. Oh, I hope you I hope your first.

[00:19:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, there we go. So the first two picks, we got two mothers

[00:19:08] [SPEAKER_03]: and we've got two podcasters as well.

[00:19:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Pretty evenly divided.

[00:19:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I think we have four mothers, Rob's mother.

[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_03]: I think we decided that when we did.

[00:19:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, didn't we figure out what the father is?

[00:19:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Eddie, I don't we never did that. He was both.

[00:19:20] [SPEAKER_01]: OK, well, well done.

[00:19:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Congrats to you. Yes.

[00:19:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Congrats, Rob.

[00:19:24] [SPEAKER_04]: No, I am very I am extremely flattered

[00:19:30] [SPEAKER_04]: by the response.

[00:19:32] [SPEAKER_04]: And so thank you.

[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_04]: Thank you so much to the people that think that that would be a good idea.

[00:19:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I feel like I won because my season that I covered with you,

[00:19:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Mike Amazon got someone on Rob.

[00:19:47] [SPEAKER_03]: There you go. It was that was your long day.

[00:19:49] [SPEAKER_03]: That's what you wanted at the end of the day.

[00:19:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Representation, representation, if you will.

[00:19:53] [SPEAKER_03]: And here we have it.

[00:19:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Shannon, back to you.

[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_03]: You lost out on having Rob on your team.

[00:19:57] [SPEAKER_03]: I this is plenty of stars out there.

[00:19:59] [SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm done.

[00:20:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Um, are there any other good numbers?

[00:20:04] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that was I think so.

[00:20:05] [SPEAKER_01]: I bet there are. Yeah, I'm going to do the number one.

[00:20:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Ranked season of Survivor.

[00:20:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Season 20, 20.

[00:20:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Wow. All right.

[00:20:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Going on to 20.

[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_03]: We have Jesse Lopez.

[00:20:20] [SPEAKER_03]: OK, Carolina's here.

[00:20:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes. Evening out the gender distribution now and our and our first new era

[00:20:27] [SPEAKER_03]: representative on the season.

[00:20:28] [SPEAKER_04]: OK, I wonder when we get done with the 20, how many new era,

[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_04]: how many classic era are we going to get?

[00:20:35] [SPEAKER_04]: But Jesse, another one.

[00:20:37] [SPEAKER_04]: I think that in the same camp as Angelina of like when you say like,

[00:20:43] [SPEAKER_04]: all right, quick off the top of your head, who are people that they should bring

[00:20:47] [SPEAKER_04]: back? Jesse, very much top of mind.

[00:20:51] [SPEAKER_04]: I think a another great job by the voters.

[00:20:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I do think that Jesse, when you look back, even through six seasons

[00:20:57] [SPEAKER_03]: of the new era and you're asked like and again, this is only one thing,

[00:21:00] [SPEAKER_03]: but like who are some of the best players to never win in recent memory?

[00:21:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Jesse is certainly someone that comes to mind considering just how

[00:21:07] [SPEAKER_03]: wide of a swath he cut into the game of Survivor 43,

[00:21:12] [SPEAKER_03]: being behind what Jeff Probst calls a Hall of Fame Mount Rushmore move.

[00:21:17] [SPEAKER_03]: One of the biggest betrayals in Survivor history and obviously has a big chance

[00:21:22] [SPEAKER_03]: for redemption in the way that he went out in fire.

[00:21:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I'd be intrigued to see Jesse on a return of obviously he was able to disguise

[00:21:30] [SPEAKER_03]: a lot of what he was doing behind the scenes because he wasn't really suspected

[00:21:33] [SPEAKER_03]: of doing any of that.

[00:21:34] [SPEAKER_03]: I do wonder that now that people know what Jesse is capable of, if that is

[00:21:39] [SPEAKER_03]: something he can necessarily do the second time.

[00:21:41] [SPEAKER_03]: But Jesse is also a very nice and personable guy as well, that he might be

[00:21:45] [SPEAKER_03]: able to get over his reputation preceding him.

[00:21:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:21:50] [SPEAKER_04]: It'll be very fun to watch, you know.

[00:21:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, you won't be watching.

[00:21:55] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, sure.

[00:21:57] [SPEAKER_04]: I hope he's won't cut you.

[00:22:00] [SPEAKER_04]: Great job by the voters.

[00:22:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. And now we're getting to the whole Raleigh Alliance.

[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_01]: I think with the Raleigh Alliance now, with Jesse, I feel like he could come on

[00:22:08] [SPEAKER_01]: to a bunch of different themes, right?

[00:22:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Like we don't know where they're going to go.

[00:22:11] [SPEAKER_01]: But if it's modern, which we think it might be, if it's like a second chance,

[00:22:14] [SPEAKER_01]: he'd be great for that.

[00:22:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Even for like legends, if they want modern people.

[00:22:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Jesse has loomed very large with how he controlled 43.

[00:22:21] [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, good pick.

[00:22:22] [SPEAKER_04]: My guy, my guy, Chris in the chat saying, Rob, I'm feeling 13.

[00:22:26] [SPEAKER_04]: Chris, they already picked 13.

[00:22:27] [SPEAKER_04]: That was Angelina.

[00:22:28] [SPEAKER_04]: It was a great pick.

[00:22:30] [SPEAKER_04]: He's just giving his age, Rob.

[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_03]: I feel that.

[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_04]: You should be in bed.

[00:22:34] [SPEAKER_04]: OK, all right.

[00:22:36] [SPEAKER_04]: Hmm. Yeah.

[00:22:37] [SPEAKER_04]: All right.

[00:22:39] [SPEAKER_04]: In honor of my amazing run in all stars, says

[00:22:42] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, Rud, give me number eight.

[00:22:46] [SPEAKER_03]: All right. Let's move.

[00:22:48] [SPEAKER_04]: Left side of the board is very lonely.

[00:22:50] [SPEAKER_03]: All right. Well, let's see who the first member of team left is here.

[00:22:55] [SPEAKER_04]: Shan Smith. Wow.

[00:22:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Another new era mastermind.

[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_04]: Good one.

[00:23:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Shan. Yeah, I mean, we talked about this, that season 41,

[00:23:05] [SPEAKER_03]: you know, is sort of remembered a bit oddly and just all the stuff

[00:23:08] [SPEAKER_03]: that it brought about a lot of new in the new era as to what characters

[00:23:12] [SPEAKER_03]: stick around in the minds of the fans.

[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Shan is absolutely one of them.

[00:23:17] [SPEAKER_04]: OK, I Shan was really just

[00:23:21] [SPEAKER_04]: such an important figure in Survivor

[00:23:25] [SPEAKER_04]: 41 in a lot of ways.

[00:23:27] [SPEAKER_04]: It's her story until it's not.

[00:23:29] [SPEAKER_04]: And even there's like in the wake of her not being there,

[00:23:33] [SPEAKER_04]: she cast such a large shadow over the season.

[00:23:36] [SPEAKER_04]: I am a little surprised in terms of I, I am thrilled to see her on the list,

[00:23:41] [SPEAKER_04]: but I wasn't sure necessarily that she had the support of the voters.

[00:23:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, well, I mean, listen, we'll certainly get into this, that.

[00:23:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think that sometimes social media footprint does not necessarily

[00:23:56] [SPEAKER_03]: represent, you know, fan support, that there are people that regardless of like

[00:24:01] [SPEAKER_03]: whether or not they still talk about the show, that they still loom large

[00:24:05] [SPEAKER_03]: in the minds when people think especially about the new era.

[00:24:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Shan was only on three years ago.

[00:24:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Seems like a lifetime. Yeah.

[00:24:12] [SPEAKER_01]: But it's good that she's like stayed present in the votes then.

[00:24:16] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's only a year before 43.

[00:24:18] [SPEAKER_01]: We aren't surprised by Jesse, but 41 does seem like a long time ago.

[00:24:21] [SPEAKER_01]: I also thought with Shan, there might have been like some production

[00:24:24] [SPEAKER_01]: question marks, whether she'd even be put on the ballot.

[00:24:26] [SPEAKER_01]: And now she's here in the top 20.

[00:24:27] [SPEAKER_01]: So I think if she can get past any of the drama, she's a good pick.

[00:24:31] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, she had her own theme song.

[00:24:33] [SPEAKER_04]: Mm hmm. Yeah.

[00:24:34] [SPEAKER_04]: So many people can we say I'm excited to see her there when we did the draft

[00:24:39] [SPEAKER_04]: back in the beginning of the summer of like, you know,

[00:24:42] [SPEAKER_04]: try to guess the cast draft that Shan was somebody I took on my draft team

[00:24:47] [SPEAKER_04]: because I thought she was such a said that was crazy.

[00:24:50] [SPEAKER_04]: She was such a standout there.

[00:24:52] [SPEAKER_04]: And now I'm being proven right, Shannon.

[00:24:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, this isn't the actual cast, Rob.

[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Like this is like he was to PG right.

[00:25:00] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to attack.

[00:25:01] [SPEAKER_01]: And we yeah, go back.

[00:25:04] [SPEAKER_01]: This is it.

[00:25:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Also, now we have a Rob and a Shan.

[00:25:07] [SPEAKER_01]: We need a mic.

[00:25:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Unfortunately, no mics made it on to the top 50.

[00:25:11] [SPEAKER_03]: I know the mic you need, baby.

[00:25:52] [SPEAKER_00]: But from a little to the online business off to bond.

[00:25:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Costing those testing on time business developed present here

[00:25:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Shopify punkish, which tribe is often

[00:26:02] [SPEAKER_00]: and for Shopify punkish, which try and given and close

[00:26:06] [SPEAKER_00]: laying made for Germany powered by Shopify.

[00:26:11] [SPEAKER_04]: All right.

[00:26:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Back to show you a lot of people in the chat

[00:26:15] [SPEAKER_01]: have a lot of things they want me to pick with a lot of cats birthdays.

[00:26:19] [SPEAKER_01]: It's hard to choose all of you.

[00:26:21] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to go to because I have two cats.

[00:26:23] [SPEAKER_03]: All right. Number two for the kitties.

[00:26:26] [SPEAKER_03]: OK, Venus. Wow.

[00:26:30] [SPEAKER_03]: From one big new era character

[00:26:33] [SPEAKER_03]: from the early period of the new era to a later new era period.

[00:26:36] [SPEAKER_03]: OK, Venus.

[00:26:39] [SPEAKER_04]: That yeah, and this is not surprising.

[00:26:42] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. The with the big fan support.

[00:26:47] [SPEAKER_04]: Venus.

[00:26:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Support as big as a planet, I would say.

[00:26:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, Venus definitely.

[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's even tough to say, considering the personality filled cast of 46,

[00:26:57] [SPEAKER_03]: but definitely one of the bigger personalities

[00:26:58] [SPEAKER_03]: had this storyline of becoming an outsider and fighting against

[00:27:02] [SPEAKER_03]: and taking out the people that she felt ostracized by only to be one of the

[00:27:06] [SPEAKER_03]: many people to go out nearly several with an idol in her pocket.

[00:27:10] [SPEAKER_03]: There's a lot of second chance qualities from somebody like Venus.

[00:27:13] [SPEAKER_03]: And look, I saw some people in the chat saying like, well, I want to vote

[00:27:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Shannon because she'd bring the drama.

[00:27:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Venus would make Shan look like an episode of Full House.

[00:27:25] [SPEAKER_01]: OK, weird analogy, but I get what you're saying.

[00:27:27] [SPEAKER_01]: I think this is an interesting one because I feel like there'll be

[00:27:31] [SPEAKER_01]: a lot of people kind of upset now that we've done three new eras in a row.

[00:27:34] [SPEAKER_01]: But those people wouldn't be upset about Venus.

[00:27:36] [SPEAKER_01]: So I feel like some people are torn right now.

[00:27:38] [SPEAKER_01]: It's like it's getting very modern.

[00:27:39] [SPEAKER_01]: But for Venus, it's OK.

[00:27:41] [SPEAKER_03]: She's a new era player that I think represents an old school value

[00:27:44] [SPEAKER_03]: that I know a lot of people were talking about.

[00:27:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think this idea of like being very open, having, you know,

[00:27:50] [SPEAKER_03]: being able to bring conflict into an era that I think is mistakenly

[00:27:54] [SPEAKER_03]: kind of regarded as like too ooey gooey, sappy.

[00:27:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Venus is somebody that I think helped contribute to the feeling of 46

[00:28:01] [SPEAKER_03]: feeling like a season outside of the new era.

[00:28:04] [SPEAKER_01]: OK, well, much like Shan from a drama perspective, like would they?

[00:28:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they'll just have to like take her Twitter password

[00:28:10] [SPEAKER_01]: and put her on the show and let it play out on the.

[00:28:12] [SPEAKER_03]: You want to know what you're playing for?

[00:28:14] [SPEAKER_03]: This is the two two factor authentication to Venus's Twitter account.

[00:28:18] [SPEAKER_04]: OK, all right. Wow.

[00:28:19] [SPEAKER_04]: So all right. Back to me and.

[00:28:23] [SPEAKER_04]: Bottom row is very unopened, so I want to like fix that.

[00:28:27] [SPEAKER_01]: And so it's so important.

[00:28:29] [SPEAKER_04]: Hmm. I am going to say

[00:28:33] [SPEAKER_04]: in honor of, hmm, let's say go for 18 for Steven.

[00:28:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Actually would be JT based on J cocaines.

[00:28:43] [SPEAKER_04]: I didn't say this was the J cocaine system.

[00:28:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's implied. Yes. OK.

[00:28:49] [SPEAKER_04]: How about let's just go with a 16 people.

[00:28:55] [SPEAKER_04]: All right. Nine days.

[00:28:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Actually, 18 and 26. One.

[00:29:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Person going on to your team, who is.

[00:29:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Amanda Kimmel. Wow.

[00:29:07] [SPEAKER_03]: That's genuinely shocking to me.

[00:29:09] [SPEAKER_03]: So you talk about I didn't know how people would get on

[00:29:11] [SPEAKER_03]: without any social media footprint.

[00:29:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Amanda Kimmel is like that second set of footprints that disappears on the beach.

[00:29:17] [SPEAKER_01]: She's somehow carrying us.

[00:29:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Wow. Reddit cannot be stopped and good for them and good.

[00:29:23] [SPEAKER_04]: Amanda Kimmel.

[00:29:25] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm genuinely like this is this is like love Amanda Kimmel.

[00:29:28] [SPEAKER_01]: What she contributed to the show in the middle age of survival

[00:29:31] [SPEAKER_01]: is incredibly important, not her middle age.

[00:29:33] [SPEAKER_01]: I call her middle age. Yeah. No.

[00:29:35] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure she is.

[00:29:37] [SPEAKER_03]: And she's older than your denoted middle age of 35.

[00:29:40] [SPEAKER_03]: This is like Google said, this is so interesting.

[00:29:43] [SPEAKER_04]: Amanda Kimmel. So many reasons.

[00:29:45] [SPEAKER_04]: Amanda Kimmel is out there.

[00:29:47] [SPEAKER_04]: I feel like she's she

[00:29:51] [SPEAKER_04]: not only is she like, hey, who's Shan?

[00:29:54] [SPEAKER_04]: But she's also like, who's T-Bird?

[00:29:58] [SPEAKER_03]: She is in the middle.

[00:29:59] [SPEAKER_01]: She's in the middle.

[00:30:00] [SPEAKER_01]: She doesn't know the people before.

[00:30:02] [SPEAKER_04]: She doesn't know the people after he could know.

[00:30:04] [SPEAKER_04]: Like, where's Rupert?

[00:30:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. Ruben is Ruben.

[00:30:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Where's James?

[00:30:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Do I get to play with James again?

[00:30:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I can only play with James.

[00:30:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is this is this is shocking for the reason of like,

[00:30:15] [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like people are against it when it's like the multi time legends.

[00:30:19] [SPEAKER_01]: But then like with the name recognition of like the poverty and stuff,

[00:30:21] [SPEAKER_01]: you think they're just going to get through.

[00:30:22] [SPEAKER_01]: But for a man to get through, I mean, I guess it's like a.

[00:30:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, we don't know.

[00:30:25] [SPEAKER_04]: We don't know if poverty is here or not.

[00:30:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's the thing, though.

[00:30:27] [SPEAKER_03]: That's the thing.

[00:30:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes. Amanda played three times.

[00:30:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Amanda played three times in five seasons.

[00:30:33] [SPEAKER_03]: She has not been on since 2010.

[00:30:35] [SPEAKER_03]: We have had two U.S.

[00:30:37] [SPEAKER_03]: presidents since Amanda Kimmel has played survivor.

[00:30:40] [SPEAKER_03]: That's crazy to me.

[00:30:41] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, she and she and poverty like.

[00:30:44] [SPEAKER_01]: They were the duo.

[00:30:45] [SPEAKER_04]: Mm hmm. Yeah, I remember.

[00:30:47] [SPEAKER_01]: I do remember Amanda Kimmel from survival.

[00:30:50] [SPEAKER_03]: What I've also found some interesting discourse around

[00:30:52] [SPEAKER_03]: when it comes to these votes is like I kind of feel like low key Amanda Kimmel,

[00:30:56] [SPEAKER_03]: though obviously the big joke is that she can never win.

[00:30:59] [SPEAKER_03]: She made it to back to back final tribal councils and lost in the end.

[00:31:01] [SPEAKER_03]: I feel like the new era game, like the emergent play style

[00:31:06] [SPEAKER_03]: is not too dissimilar from like the way Amanda used to play.

[00:31:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Right. Which is like be a stable personality.

[00:31:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't be too much of a threat.

[00:31:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Get in with a good alliance and then make your way to the edge.

[00:31:17] [SPEAKER_03]: So I actually think Amanda could if she even she's probably going to win.

[00:31:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. She brings the same set of skills in.

[00:31:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, we know she'll place at least second.

[00:31:28] [SPEAKER_04]: Good night, everybody.

[00:31:30] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm Rob, you should know that.

[00:31:32] [SPEAKER_01]: What's the end? You can win.

[00:31:33] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just saying for your season, because you're going out to Fiji tonight.

[00:31:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Get the bag. I think like for Amanda.

[00:31:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there could be a fun theme around like old versus new school

[00:31:42] [SPEAKER_01]: and she would represent part of that.

[00:31:45] [SPEAKER_01]: But from like a legend season, you think that like maybe others would get in.

[00:31:48] [SPEAKER_01]: She's not a one time player.

[00:31:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm just trying to find the theme.

[00:31:51] [SPEAKER_01]: I think old versus new. That's the one for Amanda.

[00:31:53] [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't expect it.

[00:31:54] [SPEAKER_01]: But look, the man understands the standards

[00:31:57] [SPEAKER_01]: standards can't be defeated.

[00:31:59] [SPEAKER_01]: So good job, Amanda.

[00:32:01] [SPEAKER_04]: Good job to them. Good job turning out.

[00:32:03] [SPEAKER_03]: We get paid, right? So. OK. All right.

[00:32:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes. Yes. You don't remember all the concerted efforts of Manneken

[00:32:08] [SPEAKER_03]: both flying banner planes over every continent on the globe.

[00:32:12] [SPEAKER_01]: I got it here in Australia.

[00:32:14] [SPEAKER_04]: OK. All right. We still have to get through what we got.

[00:32:18] [SPEAKER_04]: Twelve more to go. All right. Yeah.

[00:32:21] [SPEAKER_01]: All right. I'll do it for Steven because I love Steven.

[00:32:24] [SPEAKER_03]: All right. This one, this next pick is going out to Steven Fischbach and it is.

[00:32:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Dominic, OK, I think.

[00:32:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. From one runner up to another.

[00:32:36] [SPEAKER_04]: No, that's great for Dama Bate.

[00:32:38] [SPEAKER_04]: I had kind of thought that just like sort of like

[00:32:42] [SPEAKER_04]: if thinking it through, thought that maybe Dominic about they

[00:32:45] [SPEAKER_04]: could kind of got left behind.

[00:32:46] [SPEAKER_04]: I think that he was a shoe in to come back after 36,

[00:32:50] [SPEAKER_04]: but then immediately followed by 37.

[00:32:53] [SPEAKER_04]: All the people from 37 and people from 38 and then the new era.

[00:32:57] [SPEAKER_04]: And then I thought that maybe he was a little bit forgotten

[00:33:01] [SPEAKER_04]: in the minds of the voters, but they did not forget.

[00:33:05] [SPEAKER_03]: And while I also think, you know, he has this appearance on the challenge,

[00:33:08] [SPEAKER_03]: you would say, because he's pretty much like,

[00:33:09] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know when I'm coming back to Survivor.

[00:33:11] [SPEAKER_03]: And it was pretty unmemorable and is kind of largely regarded

[00:33:14] [SPEAKER_03]: alongside the shit show of an ending.

[00:33:17] [SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, I think the idea of what Dominic brought to Ghost Island

[00:33:20] [SPEAKER_03]: and especially the fact that he is the person that has come closest to winning.

[00:33:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I know Amanda has gone there twice, but Dominic was one Laurel away

[00:33:28] [SPEAKER_03]: from a million dollar prize.

[00:33:30] [SPEAKER_03]: There is a lot of there's a lot of appeal in that storyline.

[00:33:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Some feel he is one of the best players to never win the game.

[00:33:36] [SPEAKER_03]: And I think he is a shoe in for that type of thing.

[00:33:38] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. Good pick by the voters.

[00:33:40] [SPEAKER_04]: Good job.

[00:33:41] [SPEAKER_01]: I I do think that as we talk about that era, like if no covid happens

[00:33:47] [SPEAKER_01]: and they keep going with the way they were going on returning seasons

[00:33:49] [SPEAKER_01]: and they have one in like 43, like Dom played multiple times by now.

[00:33:54] [SPEAKER_01]: More than two, probably.

[00:33:56] [SPEAKER_01]: So I don't want to get overlooked.

[00:33:58] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't want it to be like new era or not.

[00:34:00] [SPEAKER_01]: It should be modern if we're going that way.

[00:34:02] [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm fit to that.

[00:34:04] [SPEAKER_04]: All right. So you're happy or no?

[00:34:06] [SPEAKER_01]: No, I am happy. I love Dom.

[00:34:07] [SPEAKER_01]: All right. I think he's a good pick.

[00:34:08] [SPEAKER_01]: I think he got screwed over by covid the most screwed over by any of anyone.

[00:34:12] [SPEAKER_03]: OK.

[00:34:15] [SPEAKER_03]: You're just bringing it on to yourself at this point, Shannon.

[00:34:17] [SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm just sarcasm doesn't come across.

[00:34:20] [SPEAKER_04]: We just picked Angelina.

[00:34:21] [SPEAKER_04]: We just picked the Mabate.

[00:34:23] [SPEAKER_04]: Who's in the middle?

[00:34:24] [SPEAKER_04]: Number 17 for my favorite Met Keith Hernandez.

[00:34:27] [SPEAKER_03]: All right. Let's see.

[00:34:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Will we be spinning on this pick or not?

[00:34:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's see. Number 17 is Natalie.

[00:34:34] [SPEAKER_04]: But what a week for Natalie Bolton.

[00:34:37] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes. Micronesia.

[00:34:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Of course, she appeared on a dropout recently alongside

[00:34:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Sari and Parvati and Ethan just came out of the Woodwork.

[00:34:45] [SPEAKER_03]: She was in I think it was out magazine.

[00:34:48] [SPEAKER_03]: She did that random photo shoot with Parvati.

[00:34:49] [SPEAKER_03]: It really is the year of Natalie Bolton.

[00:34:51] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. Ready for the comeback?

[00:34:53] [SPEAKER_04]: Here we go.

[00:34:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Production see that the fans have been demanding for Natalie

[00:34:57] [SPEAKER_01]: to come back for decades now for so long.

[00:35:00] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's not going down anytime soon.

[00:35:02] [SPEAKER_01]: I love the Black Widow Brigade reunion that we're having here in the boxes.

[00:35:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Not Dom Mabate.

[00:35:08] [SPEAKER_01]: If we move it over, Amanda and Natalie,

[00:35:11] [SPEAKER_01]: the fans have wanted Natalie Bolton back for so long.

[00:35:13] [SPEAKER_01]: As you said, she is doing things.

[00:35:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Making sure she's, you know, being seen, wants to be on TV.

[00:35:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, would you really do you think Natalie Bolton truly will ever play

[00:35:23] [SPEAKER_01]: a survivor again?

[00:35:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Like in your heart of hearts? Yes or no?

[00:35:26] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to manifest it.

[00:35:28] [SPEAKER_01]: This was I mean, this is like, do you think so?

[00:35:31] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, look that if you would have asked me a year ago,

[00:35:36] [SPEAKER_04]: I would say probably not.

[00:35:38] [SPEAKER_04]: But, you know, things are changing.

[00:35:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. She got voted into this poll.

[00:35:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Natalie Bolton has increased her public appearances.

[00:35:45] [SPEAKER_03]: She's on TV. Yeah.

[00:35:47] [SPEAKER_03]: That's the thing.

[00:35:47] [SPEAKER_03]: She's increased her public appearances 300 percent

[00:35:50] [SPEAKER_03]: between like 2008 to 2023 and 2024.

[00:35:56] [SPEAKER_03]: So it's just every time to appear back in the public sphere.

[00:35:59] [SPEAKER_04]: You got to roll with the punches, Shannon.

[00:36:01] [SPEAKER_04]: A couple of months ago, it looked like Joe Biden was running for president.

[00:36:05] [SPEAKER_01]: We don't get that over here in Australia.

[00:36:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Things change.

[00:36:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. OK, that's just a random analogy.

[00:36:12] [SPEAKER_03]: They should have a polling question of how does that resonate for you

[00:36:14] [SPEAKER_03]: in the bedroom? Mm hmm.

[00:36:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. Yes. OK.

[00:36:19] [SPEAKER_01]: They are in the closet.

[00:36:21] [SPEAKER_03]: OK, exactly. All right.

[00:36:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Everyone has one Natalie Bolton.

[00:36:24] [SPEAKER_01]: She was always getting on this ballot.

[00:36:26] [SPEAKER_03]: I see everyone go check out a dirty laundry on Dropout, by the way.

[00:36:29] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a very fun time.

[00:36:30] [SPEAKER_03]: And you you learn some things about survivor contestants

[00:36:33] [SPEAKER_03]: that we still didn't know about them going on 20 years.

[00:36:36] [SPEAKER_03]: All right, Shannon. Back to you.

[00:36:39] [SPEAKER_01]: All right.

[00:36:41] [SPEAKER_01]: There's one of the cat's birthday that they want to

[00:36:43] [SPEAKER_01]: do, they want to give the chat if anyone has a cat's birthday.

[00:36:48] [SPEAKER_01]: That's what the chat's been giving me.

[00:36:49] [SPEAKER_01]: OK, I'll do three because there's three of us.

[00:36:51] [SPEAKER_01]: The three amigos that have been here all summer doing this.

[00:36:54] [SPEAKER_03]: All right. Number three for Shannon is.

[00:36:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Todd Herzog. All right.

[00:36:59] [SPEAKER_03]: All right, Amanda, you got your buddy back.

[00:37:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:37:02] [SPEAKER_04]: OK, Amanda's going to know somebody else.

[00:37:06] [SPEAKER_04]: OK, good.

[00:37:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Does she remember Todd?

[00:37:09] [SPEAKER_01]: She I think she would probably remember Todd.

[00:37:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Look, Todd gave me that great pop.

[00:37:13] [SPEAKER_01]: That was awesome.

[00:37:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Todd's pop pop Todd's side hustle of I guess the first one

[00:37:20] [SPEAKER_01]: being a survivor winner and the second one being his job of making the pops is great.

[00:37:24] [SPEAKER_01]: I love my pop. Yeah. Thank you, Todd.

[00:37:25] [SPEAKER_04]: No, Todd Herzog coming back.

[00:37:27] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, a great one time player who it would be, I think,

[00:37:35] [SPEAKER_04]: just iconic for him to return in this spot.

[00:37:38] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I think when he played on China, I remember, you know,

[00:37:42] [SPEAKER_03]: it was the first time since like the days of Richard Hatch and Brian Heideck

[00:37:45] [SPEAKER_03]: that people were saying like, oh, this is a strategic villainous character

[00:37:49] [SPEAKER_03]: that went on to win the season.

[00:37:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Todd, of course, an incredibly unique perspective as well.

[00:37:54] [SPEAKER_03]: He was this like young gay Mormon flight attendant.

[00:37:57] [SPEAKER_03]: And then, of course, a huge journey for Todd off the show

[00:38:01] [SPEAKER_03]: where he succumbs to addiction and was able to overcome that

[00:38:04] [SPEAKER_03]: and is now sober and is doing incredibly well.

[00:38:08] [SPEAKER_03]: And I think it's just it'd be so incredible.

[00:38:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Todd is such a big fan of this game as well, even from when he played to now.

[00:38:14] [SPEAKER_03]: And I think we unfortunately missed that boat in winners at war.

[00:38:18] [SPEAKER_03]: But we're coming back around to the dock for 50.

[00:38:20] [SPEAKER_03]: And I hope Todd gets on his first winner that we've seen revealed.

[00:38:23] [SPEAKER_04]: This is the first winner.

[00:38:25] [SPEAKER_04]: OK, all right.

[00:38:26] [SPEAKER_04]: Fans seemingly did not vote winners.

[00:38:30] [SPEAKER_03]: We'll see. We still have all the way there.

[00:38:33] [SPEAKER_03]: It could be all the winners at the end here.

[00:38:35] [SPEAKER_03]: OK. All right. Is it back to me?

[00:38:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Either. No, it's back to back to Shannon now. You just made your pick.

[00:38:39] [SPEAKER_01]: OK. No, I picked Todd.

[00:38:41] [SPEAKER_01]: I said three best friends, us, the three amigos.

[00:38:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Three best friends. OK. How could you forget that?

[00:38:45] [SPEAKER_01]: It was very memorable.

[00:38:46] [SPEAKER_04]: All right. Let's see.

[00:38:50] [SPEAKER_04]: Don't know if any of these give me number 12.

[00:38:52] [SPEAKER_04]: I saw Joe Namath.

[00:38:54] [SPEAKER_03]: All right. Number 12, who will be number 30?

[00:38:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Doesn't here it is.

[00:38:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Chrissy.

[00:39:01] [SPEAKER_01]: What's happening?

[00:39:01] [SPEAKER_01]: There's a little lion thing here with a line.

[00:39:04] [SPEAKER_01]: We got a David next to a Goliath.

[00:39:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. Yes.

[00:39:07] [SPEAKER_01]: The most screwed by covid of anyone.

[00:39:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Christian Bickey would be a five time player if they had kept going.

[00:39:14] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm I'm really a mainstay.

[00:39:16] [SPEAKER_03]: He would just be the he'd be the Johnny Bananas of New Era survivor.

[00:39:20] [SPEAKER_01]: It's crazy to think how many times Christian would have played

[00:39:22] [SPEAKER_01]: if he played in 27 instead of 37.

[00:39:25] [SPEAKER_04]: Somebody else who I think you make a short list of people

[00:39:28] [SPEAKER_04]: that deserve to come back and should have been brought back.

[00:39:33] [SPEAKER_04]: And I think that Christian is right there at the top of that list.

[00:39:37] [SPEAKER_04]: And so great job by the voters to recognize that

[00:39:40] [SPEAKER_04]: and make their voice heard that Christian should be back.

[00:39:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I know when Christian was I think I think I think Christian

[00:39:46] [SPEAKER_03]: could just talk for 26 days straight now that the game is a lot shorter.

[00:39:50] [SPEAKER_03]: He can just filibuster the entire time.

[00:39:52] [SPEAKER_03]: He doesn't need a break like he did in David versus Goliath. Mm hmm.

[00:39:55] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited for the controller of Slamtown easier

[00:39:58] [SPEAKER_01]: that we're getting on the season that is definitely happening with these people.

[00:40:03] [SPEAKER_01]: But if Christian doesn't play survivor again, something is wrong with the world.

[00:40:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. OK. All right.

[00:40:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Now, I believe it's back to Shannon.

[00:40:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, fair enough.

[00:40:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Will in the chat says 15 for Taylor Swift.

[00:40:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Taylor has a lot of numbers.

[00:40:15] [SPEAKER_01]: One of them is 15 when you're 15.

[00:40:17] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to pick that box.

[00:40:18] [SPEAKER_01]: She gets 13 and 15.

[00:40:20] [SPEAKER_01]: She has a lot of numbers.

[00:40:22] [SPEAKER_03]: All right.

[00:40:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Shannon's next pick is.

[00:40:26] [SPEAKER_04]: Taylor. OK.

[00:40:29] [SPEAKER_04]: A shot in the dark by Shannon hits.

[00:40:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. Great pick.

[00:40:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, really excellent pick. Very fun.

[00:40:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. I think people really want Taylor back.

[00:40:39] [SPEAKER_01]: I think he's exceptional casting.

[00:40:42] [SPEAKER_01]: I think I wish we'd gotten to see more.

[00:40:44] [SPEAKER_01]: He like I feel like he and Emily defined the first half of the season,

[00:40:48] [SPEAKER_01]: then then he goes on.

[00:40:49] [SPEAKER_01]: He has a very memorable shot in the dark moment, but he also has more than that.

[00:40:52] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm really excited about Caleb.

[00:40:53] [SPEAKER_01]: This was this was someone I wanted to see.

[00:40:55] [SPEAKER_01]: This is someone I got on my team.

[00:40:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think regarded as one of the biggest underdogs

[00:40:59] [SPEAKER_03]: of the past couple of seasons in particular, like you said,

[00:41:03] [SPEAKER_03]: contributes to a first one of the first big advantage based moments

[00:41:06] [SPEAKER_03]: that we have in the new era and somebody that still gets talked about

[00:41:10] [SPEAKER_03]: as sort of like not only the definition of charisma,

[00:41:13] [SPEAKER_03]: but also how that can work for and against you in the game.

[00:41:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Caleb is kind of dealt a raw hand from pretty much beginning to end

[00:41:19] [SPEAKER_03]: of his time on a survivor, culminating in the fact

[00:41:22] [SPEAKER_03]: that he kind of gets screwed in that split tribal council.

[00:41:25] [SPEAKER_03]: So I think he also has a lot of there there, if you will,

[00:41:28] [SPEAKER_03]: when it comes to the possibility of coming back.

[00:41:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. And Caleb is the person who made me adjust my sparkle ranking.

[00:41:34] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, oh, you know, a sparkly person, that person win.

[00:41:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Then I met Caleb literally said hi to him.

[00:41:39] [SPEAKER_01]: He walked away. I said, I see why they voted him out.

[00:41:41] [SPEAKER_01]: He seems like a joke. No, he's way too charismatic.

[00:41:44] [SPEAKER_01]: I think you'll have to be less charismatic on the comeback

[00:41:46] [SPEAKER_01]: because it's so evident.

[00:41:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but he can dole himself a little bit when you bring back

[00:41:50] [SPEAKER_04]: a ton of people who have sparkle.

[00:41:54] [SPEAKER_04]: Like it's not necessarily that Caleb stands out so much.

[00:41:58] [SPEAKER_04]: The diamond mine of a season.

[00:42:00] [SPEAKER_01]: I genuinely think Caleb is that sparkly.

[00:42:03] [SPEAKER_01]: He needs to be a little less sparkly.

[00:42:04] [SPEAKER_01]: It's my one note that I think he's going to down.

[00:42:06] [SPEAKER_03]: They're going to be a little bit of competition,

[00:42:08] [SPEAKER_03]: much like David Jennett had with Harry and Australian survivor.

[00:42:11] [SPEAKER_03]: All stars of like our Caleb and Kelly going to have ops with each other

[00:42:14] [SPEAKER_03]: because one ironically enough, nullify the other's record

[00:42:17] [SPEAKER_03]: for most votes nullified by an advantage.

[00:42:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't think they're nerdy enough to care about that.

[00:42:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Like I would care for sure.

[00:42:24] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm a Christian. My care. Yeah. OK.

[00:42:26] [SPEAKER_03]: All right. Back to Rob.

[00:42:28] [SPEAKER_04]: We have several left, several left.

[00:42:31] [SPEAKER_04]: In honor of Jelinski, I can't believe that we let it go this far.

[00:42:35] [SPEAKER_04]: Give me a box number.

[00:42:36] [SPEAKER_04]: Several a legendary number.

[00:42:40] [SPEAKER_03]: And hopefully a legend behind it.

[00:42:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Number several is.

[00:42:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.

[00:42:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:42:50] [SPEAKER_03]: No, you know, he troll you the entire time.

[00:42:52] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't care.

[00:42:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. Good for Omer.

[00:42:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. All very happy about this.

[00:42:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. Yeah.

[00:42:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I'd be intrigued to see again.

[00:43:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I think much like Jesse, the really fun thing about Omer was that

[00:43:03] [SPEAKER_03]: a lot of people were unsuspecting with the stuff that he was pulling off

[00:43:07] [SPEAKER_03]: behind the scenes, especially in that post merge.

[00:43:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I'd be intrigued to see again now that people kind of know him

[00:43:13] [SPEAKER_03]: as one of the better players of the new era, if you'd be able to pull that off.

[00:43:17] [SPEAKER_03]: And also, to be candid, how much of the absolutely

[00:43:22] [SPEAKER_03]: lovably messy, chaotic persona that we see of him across all these podcasts

[00:43:26] [SPEAKER_03]: and games, how much would that translate to a second season?

[00:43:29] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, he is somebody who looked like

[00:43:32] [SPEAKER_04]: that they were on their way in Survivor 42.

[00:43:36] [SPEAKER_04]: Maryanne makes her big move.

[00:43:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, Maryanne.

[00:43:40] [SPEAKER_04]: Takes out Omer and would be

[00:43:44] [SPEAKER_04]: incredible to see Omer get a second chance.

[00:43:46] [SPEAKER_04]: Another good job by the voters.

[00:43:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. Very upset not to have him on my team was this is teams.

[00:43:51] [SPEAKER_01]: I one of my favorite people on the planet.

[00:43:53] [SPEAKER_04]: All right. But now this is where things are starting to get a little tense.

[00:43:57] [SPEAKER_03]: OK, yeah. We only have six spots left.

[00:44:00] [SPEAKER_03]: We had back to back.

[00:44:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Can you getting very stressful, actually?

[00:44:04] [SPEAKER_03]: All right. Yeah, I'm really stressed.

[00:44:06] [SPEAKER_03]: All right. Well, Shannon, don't make a bad picture.

[00:44:08] [SPEAKER_03]: This is on you right now.

[00:44:10] [SPEAKER_03]: You got another pick here. Who are you going to pick?

[00:44:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I think some people want the winner of this season back.

[00:44:15] [SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to say 14, 14.

[00:44:17] [SPEAKER_03]: All right. Number 14 is.

[00:44:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Dada.

[00:44:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Where does he fall on the screwed by COVID scale, Shannon?

[00:44:28] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm very high.

[00:44:29] [SPEAKER_01]: They're going to make a whole season around him being the banker.

[00:44:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Right. He was going to be the banker of survivors.

[00:44:35] [SPEAKER_03]: So wait a minute.

[00:44:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Could could survivor have done Donde first?

[00:44:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Were we actually careening towards a path where a survivor?

[00:44:42] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't think he was the banker.

[00:44:43] [SPEAKER_04]: I think he was like the general store clerk.

[00:44:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's fairly similar.

[00:44:49] [SPEAKER_01]: I guess so. Yeah, it was going to be about fire tokens.

[00:44:52] [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, so there was going to be money involved, I guess.

[00:44:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, look, those people have a reaction to this

[00:44:58] [SPEAKER_01]: and they always do it for Devon.

[00:44:59] [SPEAKER_03]: And I love Devon.

[00:45:00] [SPEAKER_03]: And that's also why he's been voted through is that that was also his edit

[00:45:04] [SPEAKER_03]: throughout Survivor Edge of Extinction.

[00:45:05] [SPEAKER_03]: The postmerge was dictated by this guy.

[00:45:08] [SPEAKER_04]: Big personality in season 38.

[00:45:12] [SPEAKER_04]: Recipient of the Sea of Money hosted the on fire podcast

[00:45:18] [SPEAKER_04]: during season what?

[00:45:20] [SPEAKER_04]: Forty five. He was the host of the podcast there.

[00:45:24] [SPEAKER_04]: Seemed like, you know, Jeff

[00:45:27] [SPEAKER_04]: was very complimentary of Rick all through that whole process.

[00:45:31] [SPEAKER_04]: So Rick's a fun guy.

[00:45:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you have him.

[00:45:34] [SPEAKER_03]: You have that redemption appeal as well of again.

[00:45:37] [SPEAKER_03]: He was on his path to somehow through idols and immunity wins

[00:45:41] [SPEAKER_03]: and tribal council shenanigans being able to get his way to the end of the game.

[00:45:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Then a man stepped in by the name of Chris Underwood and the guy who was voted out

[00:45:48] [SPEAKER_03]: and came back to the game ends up losing in fire

[00:45:51] [SPEAKER_03]: to the guy who was voted out right before him and came back into the game.

[00:45:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, please stop reminding us of that.

[00:45:57] [SPEAKER_01]: I think that with Devon's I love Devon's.

[00:46:00] [SPEAKER_01]: He is someone who will play again like Jeff loves Devon's clearly, as we've said.

[00:46:05] [SPEAKER_01]: The only thing that's stressing me out is how few spots we have left

[00:46:07] [SPEAKER_01]: and how many people we have to fit in them.

[00:46:08] [SPEAKER_01]: That's stressing me out.

[00:46:09] [SPEAKER_01]: And people will have a reaction.

[00:46:11] [SPEAKER_01]: I really love Rick Devon's.

[00:46:12] [SPEAKER_01]: And I think he's definitely going to play and could fit onto multiple seasons.

[00:46:16] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, the second chance of it all, the way that it went down

[00:46:19] [SPEAKER_01]: as a fallen angel, one time player, modern could even be around

[00:46:23] [SPEAKER_01]: like a legend thing is like a very modern big game personality.

[00:46:26] [SPEAKER_01]: I think I got him on my draft team.

[00:46:27] [SPEAKER_01]: I think he was like my first did I?

[00:46:29] [SPEAKER_01]: He was one of my first draft picks because I really think he'll come back.

[00:46:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, you can check it out behind the picture wall if you want.

[00:46:34] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't remember the whole draft and get back up to speed.

[00:46:36] [SPEAKER_04]: OK. All right.

[00:46:39] [SPEAKER_04]: Five picks left.

[00:46:40] [SPEAKER_04]: We'll go with.

[00:46:42] [SPEAKER_04]: Number one.

[00:46:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Number one.

[00:46:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Uno. And we have.

[00:46:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Carolyn, there we go.

[00:46:51] [SPEAKER_03]: What some people might consider the number one shock pick to come back

[00:46:54] [SPEAKER_03]: from the new era, Carolyn Weiger from season

[00:46:58] [SPEAKER_03]: 44, let out some noises like you're wanting to do.

[00:47:01] [SPEAKER_03]: You have made it to the top 20 of Survivor 50.

[00:47:04] [SPEAKER_04]: Carolyn, of course, what a standout in our 44 instant return.

[00:47:09] [SPEAKER_04]: But then I guess the only monkey wrench is that she went and played on the traders.

[00:47:15] [SPEAKER_04]: And I think that this is just a question of is that is that a factor

[00:47:21] [SPEAKER_03]: from what I have heard and even looking at last season

[00:47:25] [SPEAKER_03]: of the traders, CT was on the traders on TV

[00:47:29] [SPEAKER_03]: from like January to March and then went to go play the challenge 40.

[00:47:33] [SPEAKER_03]: I know I don't think it's right.

[00:47:35] [SPEAKER_03]: They just play like a game.

[00:47:36] [SPEAKER_01]: I at first I kind of thought it would be.

[00:47:38] [SPEAKER_01]: They won Carolyn.

[00:47:39] [SPEAKER_04]: I first I kind of thought it would be.

[00:47:41] [SPEAKER_04]: But then I feel like, ah, who cares now?

[00:47:43] [SPEAKER_04]: But maybe if it's on when they're making the decision,

[00:47:46] [SPEAKER_03]: I also do wonder even more so maybe than Jesse and Omer.

[00:47:50] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, Carolyn was able to really prevail from this unsuspecting persona of,

[00:47:54] [SPEAKER_03]: oh, I'm just the wacky comedic relief when really she was, again,

[00:47:58] [SPEAKER_03]: doing so much great strategic stuff behind the scenes to a point

[00:48:01] [SPEAKER_03]: where it even gets called out by her closest ally.

[00:48:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Again, is that something that people will more so be onto when she comes back?

[00:48:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Or once again, will that personality kind of supersede

[00:48:11] [SPEAKER_03]: everything that is happening and she'll be able to again craft another great game?

[00:48:15] [SPEAKER_04]: She's a great pick. You got to have Carolyn.

[00:48:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Carolyn's going to play so many times, so many times.

[00:48:20] [SPEAKER_01]: It's just it's going to happen.

[00:48:22] [SPEAKER_01]: This is a realistic pick.

[00:48:23] [SPEAKER_01]: She's going to be on that show. OK. All right.

[00:48:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, there's so many people I'm stressing now.

[00:48:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Like they can't be for they need to be like 24.

[00:48:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, that's just you as an Australian speaking to that.

[00:48:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's what we need. Oh, my God.

[00:48:37] [SPEAKER_01]: This is so stressful.

[00:48:37] [SPEAKER_01]: We're not going to get everyone we want. I'm stressed.

[00:48:39] [SPEAKER_01]: I'll go for based on all right.

[00:48:41] [SPEAKER_01]: I think for a bunch.

[00:48:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, to manifest the four people that could not make the list.

[00:48:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Shannon and number four is.

[00:48:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Chaos chaos.

[00:48:51] [SPEAKER_03]: OK, people love cats.

[00:48:55] [SPEAKER_03]: People love cats. Yeah.

[00:48:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Cats 100 percent chance of making the top 20.

[00:48:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. Wow.

[00:49:00] [SPEAKER_03]: That shows the same power.

[00:49:02] [SPEAKER_03]: And Cassie said she wants to do it again.

[00:49:04] [SPEAKER_03]: She she has said that she's wanted to do it.

[00:49:06] [SPEAKER_04]: OK, well, that's exciting.

[00:49:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Look at the tie he's wearing. He knows what's going on.

[00:49:10] [SPEAKER_04]: I know. But that's why I ask him.

[00:49:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, I believe she said a few months back.

[00:49:14] [SPEAKER_03]: She's like, well, you know, my kids graduating high school.

[00:49:17] [SPEAKER_03]: But as long as it lines up with those dates, I want to do it. OK.

[00:49:20] [SPEAKER_01]: And now this is what's stressing me out.

[00:49:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, I love cats, but I now I'm like being like all the people in the chat

[00:49:24] [SPEAKER_01]: and the voters where I can't stop thinking about like who's going to miss out.

[00:49:27] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's really stressing me out.

[00:49:29] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't want that to take away from cats.

[00:49:30] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. I mean, having this is a loaded cast.

[00:49:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. I mean, Cass, Angelina, Venus and Shan on the same season.

[00:49:39] [SPEAKER_03]: And then Natalie Bolton, the background flossing with jugulars like,

[00:49:43] [SPEAKER_03]: well, Jeff Probst, I'm sorry villains are here to stay.

[00:49:47] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. OK.

[00:49:50] [SPEAKER_04]: All right. Is it back to me?

[00:49:52] [SPEAKER_02]: It's level stress. OK. Back to you. Right.

[00:49:56] [SPEAKER_04]: September is the month that Survivor is going to premiere.

[00:49:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Give me number nine.

[00:50:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Number nine in between you and Shan.

[00:50:04] [SPEAKER_03]: We have. Charlie.

[00:50:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Charlie. Number. Yeah, that's fun.

[00:50:12] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. So the only second person from Survivor 46 so far, right?

[00:50:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Second person to make it so far. Interesting.

[00:50:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Forty six. Yet another runner up, I think obviously looms large

[00:50:22] [SPEAKER_03]: in the minds of fans because many feel was for many reasons, perhaps

[00:50:28] [SPEAKER_03]: left out of a win there at the end.

[00:50:30] [SPEAKER_03]: But someone who played an incredibly stable strategic game,

[00:50:34] [SPEAKER_03]: one of the calming forces amidst the torrid waves around him.

[00:50:37] [SPEAKER_03]: There's a lot of appeal, I think, to Charlie coming back for a second time

[00:50:40] [SPEAKER_03]: considering how close he got to winning the last time.

[00:50:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. Charlie fits into a bunch of themes as well.

[00:50:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Chad is saying he could link up with Domabate.

[00:50:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Almost winners.

[00:50:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, if we have imagine that the final three of Charlie,

[00:50:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Amanda and Dom of like you got to vote for one of us.

[00:50:57] [SPEAKER_03]: One of us has to win here.

[00:50:58] [SPEAKER_01]: More of that. That second 2015, my brother's birthday was on day 39

[00:51:02] [SPEAKER_01]: of season 31 in real time.

[00:51:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. And I wrote like a 15 page document about what I thought was happening.

[00:51:08] [SPEAKER_01]: And I made like a final travel council loser alliance.

[00:51:10] [SPEAKER_01]: And it was Wu and Steven and Kelly Wigglesworth.

[00:51:13] [SPEAKER_01]: And Steven won. It was a whole thing.

[00:51:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, so we just manifested that we have one winner on the whole thing.

[00:51:19] [SPEAKER_01]: So far. Yeah. People didn't want to vote in winners.

[00:51:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. We'll talk. We'll talk about it.

[00:51:24] [SPEAKER_04]: We still have. All right.

[00:51:25] [SPEAKER_04]: Two more boxes. Charlie as well.

[00:51:28] [SPEAKER_03]: So I love all these people.

[00:51:29] [SPEAKER_03]: We have one man and one woman left.

[00:51:33] [SPEAKER_04]: OK, do you think you know who who the man is and who the woman is?

[00:51:37] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there's so many people it could be.

[00:51:39] [SPEAKER_04]: I think I know who the man is.

[00:51:41] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, the man is a song by Taylor Swift.

[00:51:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Who the woman? I think I know who the woman is.

[00:51:49] [SPEAKER_04]: I think I'm going to. Yeah.

[00:51:51] [SPEAKER_01]: That's a read. Yeah.

[00:51:53] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just looking at this list.

[00:51:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. Well,

[00:51:58] [SPEAKER_01]: just only two choices.

[00:52:00] [SPEAKER_01]: I might manifest Davey here by saying this number.

[00:52:02] [SPEAKER_01]: The only way I can only say it to quote him, 11 still quote Davey saying that.

[00:52:06] [SPEAKER_01]: All right. Number 11 is.

[00:52:10] [SPEAKER_04]: So that was the woman that I thought was Marianne.

[00:52:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Is there no women left?

[00:52:17] [SPEAKER_04]: I think that maybe the voters said no to win.

[00:52:20] [SPEAKER_01]: And so famously somehow won.

[00:52:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, that's I mean, listen, when you talk about either a woman or a man,

[00:52:26] [SPEAKER_03]: a legend season or best to never win.

[00:52:29] [SPEAKER_03]: She was quite literally called this by Jeff Probst.

[00:52:33] [SPEAKER_03]: People want to see Suri back after, you know, a long 70 plus days

[00:52:37] [SPEAKER_03]: in the Big Brother house.

[00:52:38] [SPEAKER_03]: They say, Suri, we need you back on the beach.

[00:52:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Look, I love Suri more than like life itself, you know,

[00:52:43] [SPEAKER_01]: so I'm really happy to have her on my team.

[00:52:45] [SPEAKER_01]: She'd be on every season of Survivor.

[00:52:47] [SPEAKER_01]: It was just like I feel like it was a cruel thing to have like Suri

[00:52:50] [SPEAKER_01]: be my last pick where I'm like happy I got Suri.

[00:52:52] [SPEAKER_01]: But then I'm thinking about all the people we didn't get.

[00:52:54] [SPEAKER_01]: So like I have these dual emotions, as many of the voters, I'm sure do.

[00:52:58] [SPEAKER_01]: But yes, Suri feels is my reason for living.

[00:53:00] [SPEAKER_03]: So, yeah. OK, Rob, what are your thoughts about Suri

[00:53:04] [SPEAKER_03]: possibly coming back for a fifth time to play?

[00:53:06] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, I have just always felt that, yes, she came back for the traitors

[00:53:10] [SPEAKER_04]: and yes, she played Big Brother.

[00:53:11] [SPEAKER_04]: But I felt like that Suri's exit in Survivor Game Changers

[00:53:17] [SPEAKER_04]: was very much a story and a legacy unfinished,

[00:53:20] [SPEAKER_04]: that the way that Jeff brought her out onto the stage

[00:53:22] [SPEAKER_04]: in the Survivor Game Changers finale always said to me

[00:53:27] [SPEAKER_04]: that she will be back.

[00:53:30] [SPEAKER_04]: And I feel like that Suri, I've always maintained,

[00:53:34] [SPEAKER_04]: has one more run in her on Survivor and she wants to do it.

[00:53:37] [SPEAKER_04]: She's always said.

[00:53:38] [SPEAKER_04]: 50 more runs. Yeah.

[00:53:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Why not? Suri is a Terminator.

[00:53:42] [SPEAKER_03]: She is the C1000.

[00:53:44] [SPEAKER_03]: And we will see her shape shift into maybe a winning game

[00:53:46] [SPEAKER_03]: on this ballot for Survivor 50.

[00:53:49] [SPEAKER_03]: There is one pick left.

[00:53:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Rob, you think you know who it is?

[00:53:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you want to write it down or be open about it?

[00:53:58] [SPEAKER_04]: I'll be open about it.

[00:53:59] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to say that I'll be surprised

[00:54:02] [SPEAKER_04]: if the voters don't put their Q skirt on and it's not cute.

[00:54:06] [SPEAKER_04]: I think that there were some other snubs, but I feel like that to me

[00:54:10] [SPEAKER_04]: coming into this, I thought that Q would be one of the top vote getter.

[00:54:14] [SPEAKER_04]: So if he is not on this list.

[00:54:17] [SPEAKER_04]: Debatable.

[00:54:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Will it be a big mistake?

[00:54:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. OK. Cancel Christmas if it's not cute.

[00:54:23] [SPEAKER_01]: He has a lot of saying. Let's get what is it?

[00:54:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Santa, you keep your job.

[00:54:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Q is our last name on the cast of Survivor 50.

[00:54:33] [SPEAKER_01]: The idea that you cancel Christmas and then like Santa loses his job.

[00:54:37] [SPEAKER_01]: I hadn't thought about that.

[00:54:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Look at this little cute little graphic thing.

[00:54:40] [SPEAKER_01]: That is cute. Look at this group.

[00:54:42] [SPEAKER_04]: Um, look, people will hard to quibble with the people that are on the board.

[00:54:50] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. But a few of you folks should have got through.

[00:54:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Q is an old rabble gladly sacrifices spot for.

[00:54:58] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm giving it up for this.

[00:55:00] [SPEAKER_01]: We've done this once before.

[00:55:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Look, Q, I wanted to see Bryce on the list.

[00:55:04] [SPEAKER_01]: I know I'm really upset about Bryce.

[00:55:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Before we talk about like some of the snubs in our mind, they're all snubs.

[00:55:09] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, all the people who didn't make it on snubs,

[00:55:10] [SPEAKER_01]: everyone who didn't make it onto the 50, all of them snubs.

[00:55:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Every person who's ever played on snubs.

[00:55:15] [SPEAKER_01]: But I just want to give Q flowers.

[00:55:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Q is like Q should be there.

[00:55:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Q will play many, many times.

[00:55:19] [SPEAKER_01]: And he's an all time character of Survivor in general.

[00:55:22] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's not race and sea bias.

[00:55:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. I'm upset about Bryce, though.

[00:55:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, this is the thing is that I think it is a huge honor to make the top 50.

[00:55:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I think it's like just an absolutely impossible job.

[00:55:35] [SPEAKER_03]: I know that a lot of people have expressed to narrow this down to 20.

[00:55:38] [SPEAKER_03]: And like I said, the votes were tight.

[00:55:41] [SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, some really interesting facts here of the 20.

[00:55:45] [SPEAKER_03]: One winner.

[00:55:47] [SPEAKER_03]: And I do think again, I don't want to.

[00:55:48] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't want to speak on behalf of everybody, but I do think it speaks

[00:55:52] [SPEAKER_03]: to the fact that even if people did not make winners at war,

[00:55:56] [SPEAKER_03]: that I think people don't necessarily want a repeat of that theme

[00:56:00] [SPEAKER_03]: of bringing back winners again.

[00:56:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Something else that should be noted here out of the 20,

[00:56:06] [SPEAKER_03]: including yourself, Rob, only five of them have come back to play again.

[00:56:11] [SPEAKER_03]: The 15 out of this group, three quarters were very overdue.

[00:56:16] [SPEAKER_04]: We're backed up for a returning player season.

[00:56:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. For a Rob Sestanino season.

[00:56:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I thought of what you were going to say.

[00:56:23] [SPEAKER_03]: No, but I think I think it makes sense as well.

[00:56:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I think second chances was such a great theme.

[00:56:28] [SPEAKER_03]: There is so much potential of you didn't get a chance to, you know,

[00:56:31] [SPEAKER_03]: win the million dollars, whether you finish pre jury,

[00:56:33] [SPEAKER_03]: made it to the jury or just made it to the end and lost out.

[00:56:37] [SPEAKER_03]: There's an appeal for redemption there.

[00:56:38] [SPEAKER_04]: Look, all of the casts in the 40s have been super strong.

[00:56:42] [SPEAKER_04]: It's one of the strengths of the show, the way that they cast it.

[00:56:44] [SPEAKER_04]: But they they needed like a some kind of like a second chances along the way.

[00:56:50] [SPEAKER_04]: Some kind of like new era all stars.

[00:56:53] [SPEAKER_04]: And it's hard because like like what are you going to throw out?

[00:56:55] [SPEAKER_04]: Forty five, throw out forty six.

[00:56:57] [SPEAKER_04]: But, you know, in a perfect world, we wouldn't have known.

[00:56:59] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we would have seen some of these people come back already.

[00:57:03] [SPEAKER_01]: What they should have done, and this has been said so many times,

[00:57:06] [SPEAKER_01]: that it would have been really great to see a even just any second chance,

[00:57:09] [SPEAKER_01]: even if it was skewed modern with some like, you know,

[00:57:12] [SPEAKER_01]: the put T-Bird in their port, Sean Rector in there

[00:57:14] [SPEAKER_01]: and then do a legend season for 50 that then builds on those like second chance

[00:57:19] [SPEAKER_01]: characters, because we know once they do like an all returning big season

[00:57:22] [SPEAKER_01]: right after second chance, it usually goes really well.

[00:57:24] [SPEAKER_01]: So I think they should have done that.

[00:57:26] [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I'm the trend of no winners.

[00:57:29] [SPEAKER_01]: I think, you know, people really wanted to step here.

[00:57:31] [SPEAKER_01]: People did really want Sean.

[00:57:32] [SPEAKER_01]: I think these are the names we're going to hear.

[00:57:33] [SPEAKER_01]: I really wanted Marianne.

[00:57:34] [SPEAKER_01]: I think Shane Powers was one.

[00:57:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Again, for Shane, hopefully he's not watching this.

[00:57:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Right. And I know he watched us right now.

[00:57:42] [SPEAKER_01]: He's probably watching.

[00:57:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Shout out to Shane.

[00:57:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Not again.

[00:57:44] [SPEAKER_01]: This is already this has already happened.

[00:57:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Should I watch all of Exile Island today?

[00:57:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Like I did the day that Shane didn't get into 31.

[00:57:51] [SPEAKER_03]: What should be noted as well for breaking it down by chronology.

[00:57:57] [SPEAKER_03]: So the people who were represented from the first 20 seasons

[00:58:01] [SPEAKER_03]: who appeared up through heroes versus villains, six,

[00:58:05] [SPEAKER_03]: six people on this ballot have appeared in Nicaragua through winners at war.

[00:58:09] [SPEAKER_03]: And then eight from the New Era.

[00:58:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think there was obviously a lot of commentary last time

[00:58:14] [SPEAKER_03]: about how new era heavy it was.

[00:58:16] [SPEAKER_03]: And it is about half and half.

[00:58:19] [SPEAKER_03]: But it actually is like fairly evenly balanced

[00:58:21] [SPEAKER_03]: between those, quote unquote, three big eras of the show.

[00:58:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Three tribes. Yeah.

[00:58:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, no one being surprised.

[00:58:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Like the lack of people wanting winners really plays out.

[00:58:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Overseas, Marianne, I think there's some pretty massive stuff.

[00:58:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Also, create like on that, like Amanda over poverty is just shocking to me.

[00:58:37] [SPEAKER_04]: But look, if they want to do three tribes, I mean, they could do 21.

[00:58:40] [SPEAKER_04]: They could do three tribes of seven.

[00:58:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. Put Marianne and put Bryce in.

[00:58:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Have they ever done that on any of the international seasons?

[00:58:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Three tribes, seven.

[00:58:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, there was a South Africa season did three tribes of seven.

[00:58:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. I don't know if they like the like uneven gender numbers.

[00:58:56] [SPEAKER_04]: You could figure it out.

[00:58:57] [SPEAKER_04]: You got to work.

[00:58:57] [SPEAKER_04]: They could. But do you?

[00:58:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Bryce is such great casting that we missed out on.

[00:59:02] [SPEAKER_01]: We all are aware of that.

[00:59:04] [SPEAKER_03]: It's it's tough because I mean, unless we're counting returning seasons,

[00:59:08] [SPEAKER_03]: no one in this list got voted out pre jury.

[00:59:11] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, the lowest, the lowest, the lowest places were Caleb and Cass,

[00:59:15] [SPEAKER_03]: who both were the first juror on there.

[00:59:16] [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm mad about that, too.

[00:59:18] [SPEAKER_01]: I want Zach on this as well.

[00:59:19] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I've got a lot of my favorite returning theme of all time.

[00:59:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Pre pre jury versus post.

[00:59:25] [SPEAKER_01]: So look, yeah, good stuff here.

[00:59:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Congratulations to you.

[00:59:29] [SPEAKER_04]: Great job, Mike.

[00:59:31] [SPEAKER_04]: Putting this all together.

[00:59:33] [SPEAKER_04]: Incredible job.

[00:59:34] [SPEAKER_04]: Good luck with the response.

[00:59:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. Congratulations to our top 20.

[00:59:38] [SPEAKER_03]: And hey, look, we've teased us out a little bit and we have been,

[00:59:43] [SPEAKER_03]: you know, always welcoming to responses.

[00:59:45] [SPEAKER_03]: That's what this entire project has been.

[00:59:47] [SPEAKER_03]: If people want it, maybe we run a little brand steel of these 20

[00:59:51] [SPEAKER_03]: only if people are interested in it, though.

[00:59:53] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I don't at me, by the way, if you're angry at Rob,

[00:59:57] [SPEAKER_01]: he said he didn't vote.

[00:59:59] [SPEAKER_01]: He's the person.

[01:00:00] [SPEAKER_01]: OK, so Rob, where's Bryce?

[01:00:02] [SPEAKER_01]: You didn't vote.

[01:00:04] [SPEAKER_04]: That's true. I did.

[01:00:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Voting if they care about things that are important,

[01:00:07] [SPEAKER_01]: if they're on the side that I agree with.

[01:00:09] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean.

[01:00:11] [SPEAKER_04]: Mike said the next person was 30 votes away, wasn't one vote away.

[01:00:15] [SPEAKER_01]: You are you would be you are 30 people.

[01:00:18] [SPEAKER_01]: You're on where you go.

[01:00:20] [SPEAKER_04]: 30 people will follow.

[01:00:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. OK, well, you will you give up your spot to someone?

[01:00:28] [SPEAKER_04]: Um, see, like that's a lose lose situation also.

[01:00:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Shannon, then you can choose who it is alone and then people can.

[01:00:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Mm hmm.

[01:00:36] [SPEAKER_04]: That's like, you know, people get people get mad either way on that one.

[01:00:40] [SPEAKER_04]: Shannon.

[01:00:41] [SPEAKER_01]: OK, well, at Rob and 29 other people who didn't vote.

[01:00:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. The difference.

[01:00:46] [SPEAKER_01]: OK, so all right.

[01:00:48] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, incredible.

[01:00:49] [SPEAKER_04]: On to you. Incredible job, Mike.

[01:00:51] [SPEAKER_01]: What an honesty it's been for you.

[01:00:53] [SPEAKER_01]: You have really just what a podcasting career you have.

[01:00:56] [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm just so impressed with the amount of votes

[01:00:56] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think that's the most amazing project that you did.

[01:00:57] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh yeah. Did you say how many votes total?

[01:01:01] [SPEAKER_03]: So between the first round and the second round,

[01:01:04] [SPEAKER_03]: we got about cumulatively 35000 votes.

[01:01:08] [SPEAKER_04]: Cumulative.

[01:01:09] [SPEAKER_03]: So many people.

[01:01:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. Cumulatively emphasis on the queue.

[01:01:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Again, those numbers just absolutely blow me away.

[01:01:18] [SPEAKER_03]: And look, when it comes to all this stuff, people may have their various

[01:01:23] [SPEAKER_03]: reactions to things that is completely understandable.

[01:01:26] [SPEAKER_03]: But as I mentioned before, I am more of a journey than a destination person.

[01:01:29] [SPEAKER_03]: And while I very much enjoy this group of 20 that came out,

[01:01:32] [SPEAKER_03]: I had such an unbelievable time to undergo this entire process.

[01:01:36] [SPEAKER_04]: And just once again.

[01:01:39] [SPEAKER_04]: If you're really not happy with how it came out,

[01:01:43] [SPEAKER_04]: just remember this was not the real cast.

[01:01:47] [SPEAKER_01]: It is. And you're leaving now.

[01:01:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Go get your suitcase.

[01:01:51] [SPEAKER_04]: There's a whole real cast that will come out one day.

[01:01:55] [SPEAKER_01]: You'll be so mad about it.

[01:01:56] [SPEAKER_04]: Actually, get angry about.

[01:01:59] [SPEAKER_04]: This was just a poll.

[01:02:01] [SPEAKER_03]: This is just a nice warm up.

[01:02:02] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, this is just a poll.

[01:02:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. A soft launch.

[01:02:05] [SPEAKER_01]: It took hundreds of hours and tens of thousands of votes

[01:02:08] [SPEAKER_01]: and an insane amount of work.

[01:02:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Mike Bloom, super proud of you in your cute little tie.

[01:02:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Hardest working man in the world on anything.

[01:02:17] [SPEAKER_01]: I'll take that title. Absolutely.

[01:02:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Congrats to Mike.

[01:02:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Everyone go tell Mike how much you love him and how excellent he is.

[01:02:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, thank you.

[01:02:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. And this has been a really fun summer.

[01:02:27] [SPEAKER_03]: This has been a really, really fun summer.

[01:02:29] [SPEAKER_03]: I love that this ends up kind of being a wish list

[01:02:32] [SPEAKER_03]: summer of Survivor hybrid just because these are two

[01:02:36] [SPEAKER_03]: incredibly fun projects that I got to work on over the course

[01:02:40] [SPEAKER_03]: of the Survivor offseason to the point where it hasn't even felt like an offseason

[01:02:43] [SPEAKER_03]: to me at least.

[01:02:44] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, I'm blinking and I'm thinking, oh, my God, September is right around

[01:02:48] [SPEAKER_03]: the corner. It felt like Memorial Day just came around.

[01:02:51] [SPEAKER_03]: And so it's been such a pleasure to get to occupy all these Wednesday nights

[01:02:55] [SPEAKER_03]: and other days and nights getting to talk about this show

[01:02:59] [SPEAKER_03]: and fill our mind with Survivor chatter before we get to do it

[01:03:02] [SPEAKER_03]: all over again with a new group of people in just a few weeks time. OK.

[01:03:07] [SPEAKER_04]: We've got Big Brother coming up earlier today.

[01:03:10] [SPEAKER_04]: Shannon and I talked about Big Brother 26.

[01:03:12] [SPEAKER_04]: It was a return of the Ciri cap.

[01:03:15] [SPEAKER_04]: Shannon's favorite player, Ciri.

[01:03:16] [SPEAKER_04]: She watched all of Big Brother 25.

[01:03:18] [SPEAKER_04]: She didn't watch any Big Brother 26 until right before our podcast.

[01:03:23] [SPEAKER_04]: So find out what Shannon had to say about Big Brother 26

[01:03:26] [SPEAKER_04]: in our patron podcast feed at Robbismwebsite.com slash patron.

[01:03:31] [SPEAKER_03]: There we go.

[01:03:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Any other comments you want to have about that, Shannon?

[01:03:35] [SPEAKER_01]: No, we had a really good time with Rob.

[01:03:36] [SPEAKER_01]: And honestly, this episode was fun.

[01:03:38] [SPEAKER_01]: And now I find out that there's a lot of romantic intrigue and I'm kind of in

[01:03:40] [SPEAKER_01]: like I don't want I'm not in, but I'm like, but I'm interested.

[01:03:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Now I'm like looking at Twitter with intrigue.

[01:03:45] [SPEAKER_01]: They say the truth shall prevail.

[01:03:47] [SPEAKER_03]: And now Shannon has expressed her truth when it comes to Big Brother 26.

[01:03:51] [SPEAKER_03]: You can check that out.

[01:03:52] [SPEAKER_03]: And of course, from my perspective, I've reignited the lost talk

[01:03:57] [SPEAKER_03]: with Josh Wiggler doing TV for real, which actually includes

[01:04:01] [SPEAKER_03]: one of the members of the Survivor 50 cast this week.

[01:04:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Kelly Wentworth will be joining Sasha, which should be very fun.

[01:04:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Going to get maybe her fresh reactions to her being in the top 20 of this ballot.

[01:04:13] [SPEAKER_03]: From Parade's perspective, I'm of course doing Big Brother Exit Press.

[01:04:16] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm doing the Challenge 40 Exit Press, which is also airing a new episode

[01:04:20] [SPEAKER_03]: right now.

[01:04:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Last thing I will say is, look,

[01:04:24] [SPEAKER_03]: they got to release the Survivor 47 cast at some point.

[01:04:27] [SPEAKER_03]: And if and when it happens, I will have the great pleasure

[01:04:31] [SPEAKER_03]: of getting to release all the preseason interviews I did with this cast,

[01:04:35] [SPEAKER_03]: which features maybe a couple of familiar faces and getting to talk about it all with you, Rob.

[01:04:39] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. So if you want to make sure you don't miss any of our Survivor

[01:04:44] [SPEAKER_04]: 47 preseason coverage, you got to make sure you subscribe to Rob as a podcast.

[01:04:49] [SPEAKER_04]: Go to Rob as a website dot com slash subscribe.

[01:04:53] [SPEAKER_04]: That's also how you make sure you get these podcasts coming to you

[01:04:58] [SPEAKER_04]: every single time we make one.

[01:05:01] [SPEAKER_04]: And also in case there's another vote, you're going to be you're going to know first.

[01:05:05] [SPEAKER_04]: If you go to Rob as a website dot com slash subscribe.

[01:05:09] [SPEAKER_04]: If it happens, you're going to know.

[01:05:11] [SPEAKER_01]: All right. Well, can I just say Asia robbed?

[01:05:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Hmm. Right. That as well.

[01:05:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. We needed another podcast.

[01:05:18] [SPEAKER_01]: We needed a 40.

[01:05:19] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, Mike didn't do a Survivor 47 wishlist.

[01:05:21] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm complaining about it. Yes. Yes.

[01:05:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Listen, there's there's I really have this idea.

[01:05:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I have some ideas already percolating in my head for the holiday season,

[01:05:30] [SPEAKER_03]: but we have an entire other season to get through ahead of that.

[01:05:33] [SPEAKER_03]: But this has just been such an incredible way to spend the summer.

[01:05:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you to everyone who tuned in this entire summer checking out this project.

[01:05:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Congratulations to everyone who made the top 50 and especially to our top 20 as well.

[01:05:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Let us know if you want us to do a brainsteal of the top 20

[01:05:47] [SPEAKER_03]: and see maybe even one step further how this metaphoric cast would do

[01:05:51] [SPEAKER_03]: on a season together.

[01:05:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you all so much for listening and has been such a sublime summer.

[01:05:57] [SPEAKER_03]: And I cannot wait for another season right around the corner.

[01:06:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Until then, everybody, take care.

[01:06:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Bye bye.
