[00:02:22] We know reality TV.

[00:02:52] Hi everybody.

[00:03:21] Hi everybody and welcome to the RHAP BNB for episode several of Survivor 40, several minus one.

[00:03:29] My name is Mike Bloom here to break down a double tribal council that really doubled our fun

[00:03:36] and then some in what some are calling the best episode of the season one that certainly had the laughs,

[00:03:42] had the strategy and had some of our cast out in full force.

[00:03:47] And so is our panel right now.

[00:03:49] I guess I'll start a for Albuquer tuna.

[00:03:53] Leona Boris, your turn B for bass.

[00:03:57] No, no, you have to say a first as we're going down our fish naves.

[00:04:03] Okay.

[00:04:05] Breen.

[00:04:06] Nope, Leona you're out.

[00:04:08] Special guest your turn.

[00:04:10] Thanks, I am going to go with Baltimore.

[00:04:16] I mean, I guess that counts.

[00:04:18] I suppose.

[00:04:20] Oh my God.

[00:04:22] Thanks for the chat.

[00:04:24] Did you did you see there was a tick to the tick talk that they put out but I mean it was in the actual episode where Jeff calls Tim Jim.

[00:04:33] What do you see that?

[00:04:35] Oh my God.

[00:04:36] Okay, wait, wait, wait, wait, we'll find it.

[00:04:38] We can have this debate actually about whether or not he says Jim or Tim.

[00:04:44] Oh, this is Laurel and Yanni.

[00:04:46] Yes.

[00:04:47] Yes.

[00:04:48] But I, oh, I'm team Jim baby.

[00:04:50] Like the 1000% Jim.

[00:04:52] Okay.

[00:04:53] So the subtitles try to convince us that it's okay.

[00:04:56] Wait, hold on.

[00:04:57] This is already off the rails.

[00:04:58] Okay.

[00:04:59] You continue.

[00:05:00] We were on the rails.

[00:05:02] That's calling me Ike.

[00:05:04] This is what makes it so much funnier because Mike didn't know the reference at all.

[00:05:09] He's like, what the hell?

[00:05:11] I'm like, I'm a turner reference.

[00:05:13] If so disavow, please don't compare me to him.

[00:05:17] Oh my God, which channel hold on which channel was it in?

[00:05:23] I'll find it.

[00:05:24] But anyway, the point is the draft.

[00:05:26] Yeah.

[00:05:27] Yeah, exactly.

[00:05:28] I'm trying to figure out which one live chat.

[00:05:31] It's in live.

[00:05:32] Okay.

[00:05:33] Hold on.

[00:05:34] Where is live chat?

[00:05:35] So yeah.

[00:05:36] There was a, so at the immunity challenge.

[00:05:41] Okay.

[00:05:42] This is in the context of when Jeff is learning how black people say what

[00:05:49] time it is, which by the way is a ridiculous sentence that part of

[00:05:54] the immunity challenge where Emmy winner Jeff probes learns how black

[00:05:58] people ask what time it is.

[00:06:01] Like people say this show has gone to soft.

[00:06:04] So I'm going to go back to the more you know, soft stories.

[00:06:07] Jeff is learning so many societal lessons.

[00:06:10] Yes.

[00:06:11] Okay.

[00:06:12] So this is, I sent the link in the private chat.

[00:06:14] So Mike, this question, the line in question occurs within probably

[00:06:19] the first like three or four seconds.

[00:06:21] It's very quick.

[00:06:22] It's right at the very beginning of this, this clip.

[00:06:26] And essentially it's when Tim goes, what's up Jeff?

[00:06:30] And then Jeff replies.

[00:06:32] And then the debate is, is what name Jeff is saying when he's

[00:06:36] replying to Tim.

[00:06:38] And I want everybody who happens to watch this on YouTube to,

[00:06:44] you know, make sure that you don't read the subtitles.

[00:06:48] Let's just listen.

[00:06:50] Everyone close your eyes.

[00:06:51] Let's make this an audio experience.

[00:06:53] Yes.

[00:06:54] All right.

[00:06:55] Here we go.

[00:06:56] Okay.

[00:06:57] Okay.

[00:06:58] Like, okay.

[00:06:59] So we didn't hear it.

[00:07:00] Oh, I see it.

[00:07:02] I keep forgetting to share it.

[00:07:04] I thought everyone imagined it was playing it along.

[00:07:07] This is a communal like, all right, well,

[00:07:09] we're going to press play like we're all sitting out the same

[00:07:12] bus row in the airplay.

[00:07:13] We're all going to play the movie at the same time.

[00:07:15] All right.

[00:07:16] Take two.

[00:07:17] Here we go.

[00:07:18] What's up, Jeff?

[00:07:19] Jim.

[00:07:20] All right.

[00:07:21] You heard it now this time, right?

[00:07:23] Yes.

[00:07:24] Okay.

[00:07:25] So it's like a soft T to me.

[00:07:27] It's like a lowercase T.

[00:07:28] I heard Tim.

[00:07:29] I hear Jim.

[00:07:31] Jim.

[00:07:32] Well, okay.

[00:07:33] I will compromise on Jim.

[00:07:35] Okay.

[00:07:36] Jim is somehow worse.

[00:07:38] Look at Tim's face there right afterwards.

[00:07:40] Here we go.

[00:07:41] He's even thinking.

[00:07:42] He just called me Jim.

[00:07:43] Let me see it again.

[00:07:44] Okay.

[00:07:45] What's up, Jeff?

[00:07:46] I'm going to play the music.

[00:07:47] I'm going to play the music.

[00:07:48] I'm going to play the music.

[00:07:49] I'm going to play the music.

[00:07:50] I'm going to play the music.

[00:07:51] I'm going to play the music.

[00:07:52] I'm going to play the music.

[00:07:53] I'm going to play the music.

[00:07:54] I'm going to play the music.

[00:07:55] Let me see it again.

[00:07:56] Okay.

[00:07:57] What's up, Jeff?

[00:07:58] What's up, Jim?

[00:07:59] Thanks for the shout out.

[00:08:00] You motherfucker got my name wrong.

[00:08:02] We're at the murdering, he's calling me Jim.

[00:08:03] That's that face.

[00:08:04] Yeah.

[00:08:05] Just called me Jim.

[00:08:09] Anyway, I stand by it's Jim.

[00:08:11] I'm team Jim.

[00:08:12] Hashtag team Jim.

[00:08:13] But you know, I understand.

[00:08:15] It's shim.

[00:08:16] Hashtag team shim.

[00:08:17] I'm Hashtag team shim.

[00:08:18] It's shim hashtag team shim.

[00:08:20] I'm a tag team shim.

[00:08:22] Yeah, yay.

[00:08:24] I mean, I think Charlie was the one that was channeling more Jim in this episode,

[00:08:27] but more so Jim Halperd and the way he was trolling Q.

[00:08:29] It was amazing. Yes. Oh my God.

[00:08:31] It was so good and his little smile to the camera afterwards or he's like.

[00:08:35] So funny.

[00:08:36] That's that's my thing about this episode,

[00:08:39] which I'm so excited to talk about in all of its glory.

[00:08:41] Of course, listen, if we have to do this, we just merge,

[00:08:46] but now we're not merging anymore.

[00:08:48] We're dividing into two tribes yet again and each voting a person off.

[00:08:51] This is by far the best version we've gotten out of this.

[00:08:55] I talked about this last week that it does feel like as much as we

[00:08:58] malign this twist, especially when one person doesn't make the jury.

[00:09:01] There is almost always like an interesting move that's done

[00:09:04] in at least one of these groups here.

[00:09:06] We got them in both really where, yes,

[00:09:09] RIP shim was kind of like had his die cast

[00:09:12] in the very beginning of the segment when Q is like, which side are you on?

[00:09:15] I'm telling you which side you're on the side facing Ponderosa

[00:09:18] because I'm kicking you in the ass right now, buddy.

[00:09:20] But there was still a lot of intrigue and back and forth

[00:09:23] that I was certainly surprised by the outcome.

[00:09:25] And of course, we'll talk about the Nami implosion

[00:09:28] that happened on the other side.

[00:09:29] But the other thing is again, something we talked about last week

[00:09:32] is that I do feel like this cast really was low key funny

[00:09:35] through the first six weeks of this.

[00:09:37] And I understand there's a lot of tinged emotions around

[00:09:40] both perceiving the characters and the season and their actions

[00:09:43] that may be distracted people from that.

[00:09:46] I think this week really cements it, though,

[00:09:49] where everyone was doing whether intentionally or not

[00:09:53] just goofy ass things that had me laughing the entire time.

[00:09:57] This is one of the funniest episodes of Survivor

[00:09:59] I can remember in quite a while

[00:10:01] from everything from the immunity challenge to like you said,

[00:10:04] even Charlie's like looks to the camera,

[00:10:07] what he was smiling devilishly to him pretending to nap

[00:10:10] and look through his arms to Venus sitting there

[00:10:13] and just alone saying like no one wants to have conversations

[00:10:17] with me to Kenzie and Tiffany complaining about Q

[00:10:20] by doing impressions of Q to each other.

[00:10:23] Like, Beth, there was so much gold packed into this episode.

[00:10:26] This episode was great.

[00:10:27] And it was great from a storytelling perspective,

[00:10:30] from an editing perspective,

[00:10:31] from twists and turns with voting and strategy relationships.

[00:10:36] And it's also just interesting for me.

[00:10:38] When I look at the two tribals that we have,

[00:10:42] it highlights what this merge is really coming from

[00:10:45] like these three different tribes

[00:10:47] and how every single tribe is playing very, very differently

[00:10:50] as individuals within the merge.

[00:10:52] You have Yami who's like,

[00:10:55] all right, I don't care about these people anymore.

[00:10:56] We're gonna stab each other in the back.

[00:10:58] I wanna make the best move for my game

[00:10:59] because I'm on television

[00:11:00] and I want people to see me on television.

[00:11:03] I think this is ultimately like at the end of the day

[00:11:05] Tavern's trying to create a resume for himself.

[00:11:08] Venus is trying to create a resume for herself.

[00:11:10] Soda is trying to create a resume for herself,

[00:11:12] but they're doing it in flashy ways

[00:11:14] that may or may not actually help them

[00:11:15] at the end of the day.

[00:11:17] Siga's very much like, no, these are my brothers and sisters

[00:11:20] and we will be together until the end of time.

[00:11:22] And then Yami was like, okay, we have been the underdogs

[00:11:26] and now we have the power, but also Q is annoying.

[00:11:28] So like what are we gonna do about that at some point?

[00:11:30] Right?

[00:11:31] And it's just really, really fascinating

[00:11:34] to see all three of these tribes come together

[00:11:36] in the way that everything boils down to

[00:11:39] in these two individual like voting tribes

[00:11:43] and create some really interesting strategy.

[00:11:46] One thing that I overlooked

[00:11:48] when we were talking about this twist last week

[00:11:50] and I realized it going through this episode

[00:11:53] was when splitting into groups of six

[00:11:56] and having both group of six go to tribal,

[00:11:59] you have to get everybody's perspective essentially.

[00:12:03] And that was really beneficial

[00:12:05] because we got to see some people

[00:12:07] that we got very little content

[00:12:09] or background content for finally,

[00:12:11] like Liz's got a real confessional.

[00:12:14] Like finally we get to see what Liz is doing.

[00:12:17] I'm gonna get to see all her baggadotcio if you will

[00:12:20] and her being like, I didn't even pack tonight.

[00:12:23] Oh, I didn't even bring my bag.

[00:12:24] Like, okay girl, this is crunchy.

[00:12:27] I love it.

[00:12:28] Let's do it.

[00:12:29] So that was really wonderful.

[00:12:30] And then you just got to see like more of the details

[00:12:33] of the fact that we go to the immunity challenge

[00:12:34] in so quick in the episode,

[00:12:37] was it to me a fantastic sign?

[00:12:39] Cause I was like, there's gonna be something fun after this

[00:12:42] is a reason why we're yada yada yadding

[00:12:44] through everything before that.

[00:12:45] We're gonna get a good episode.

[00:12:46] And I think that that was exemplified in this

[00:12:48] plus a Jalinsky callback both with the episode title

[00:12:52] and with how long they've been up there

[00:12:53] in the immunity with several minutes, right?

[00:12:55] All of that just makes for such a fun episode.

[00:12:58] I just saw at the time of recording this

[00:13:00] Jess tweet something asking if Jalinsky is doing

[00:13:03] an Elizabeth Holmes thing

[00:13:05] or if they think we really talks like this.

[00:13:07] I kind of-

[00:13:11] I thought he's putting it on.

[00:13:12] And now I'm kind of obsessed with Jalinsky

[00:13:14] being the Elizabeth Holmes of Survivor.

[00:13:17] Could you imagine?

[00:13:19] Like, could you imagine?

[00:13:20] Like Elizabeth Holmes would have like a motivational quote

[00:13:23] painted on the Theranos building of like,

[00:13:25] you know, legends make their own path

[00:13:28] or something like that.

[00:13:28] Well, many things that Jalinsky said,

[00:13:30] several actually means seven,

[00:13:32] just in beautiful script writing.

[00:13:34] Yeah, we're gonna get like a cover story with him

[00:13:36] like holding an idol, you know, like this or whatever.

[00:13:40] Like that classic Elizabeth Holmes picture.

[00:13:42] Yeah, like I would imagine him sitting in front

[00:13:44] of a pitch meeting and being like,

[00:13:46] Jeff, actually it does take only one drop of blood

[00:13:50] to analyze all these things.

[00:13:51] I'm pretty sure that's what that means.

[00:13:54] My gosh.

[00:13:55] You know what?

[00:13:56] Now I'm also moving to like almost like a RuPaul

[00:13:59] like house of hidden meanings kind of thing.

[00:14:01] I can't wait for him to be like house of several meetings

[00:14:03] and like it just like, you know,

[00:14:06] it's just him really exploring all of these wonderful things

[00:14:10] that he's just gotten a little off.

[00:14:12] I wonder who he's gonna dress like?

[00:14:14] Like is he gonna, you know,

[00:14:15] cause obviously Elizabeth Holmes famously Steve Jobs

[00:14:19] was her idol.

[00:14:20] So is Jeff Props like his idol

[00:14:22] and he's gonna just like dress like Jeff Props?

[00:14:24] No, Bono already took care of that.

[00:14:26] Yeah.

[00:14:27] That's true, yes.

[00:14:27] You're my idol.

[00:14:28] Yeah. Okay.

[00:14:29] Curious.

[00:14:30] Well, we'll have to watch this because I will say like

[00:14:33] the fact that the first boot could have such staying power

[00:14:36] and not even just from the audience's memes.

[00:14:38] Like the castaways also seven episodes in

[00:14:42] are still talking about this man.

[00:14:44] So that's the thing is that Jolinsky did tell me

[00:14:46] in my interview with him all the way back.

[00:14:48] He's like, they tried to name the Merge Tribe after me

[00:14:50] and we see what the Merge Tribe name is like

[00:14:53] newy newy or something like that.

[00:14:55] And like part of me wants to ask

[00:14:58] part of me also knows knowing this cast.

[00:15:00] Like the last thing I want to do is have them be like,

[00:15:02] hell no, we didn't name it after Jolinsky.

[00:15:04] And then it's just like another firefight get started online.

[00:15:08] Oh my gosh.

[00:15:08] It just would have been great to try name with several.

[00:15:11] That's it.

[00:15:11] Just like, all right, we're bringing on

[00:15:13] in the Merge Tribe several, which of course means seven,

[00:15:16] but there aren't seven of you yet.

[00:15:18] I don't know.

[00:15:19] Yeah. Oh my gosh.

[00:15:21] What a disaster.

[00:15:22] Yeah.

[00:15:22] That's that's the thing is, as I mentioned

[00:15:24] with the small groups, like it just allowed

[00:15:27] all of the chaos to shine.

[00:15:29] And I think the other thing too of, okay, strategically,

[00:15:34] like I know we were in fun, goofy games,

[00:15:36] but like strategically what is even happening?

[00:15:38] The fact that I get that Tevin wants to make a big move,

[00:15:41] but Soda is your closest,

[00:15:44] like one of your perceived closest allies

[00:15:46] who like wants to work with you dude.

[00:15:48] Like there's still so many people left.

[00:15:50] I didn't understand that at all.

[00:15:52] So that was very interesting.

[00:15:54] And then we got to see like Venus

[00:15:55] and then we got to see Soda give Venus credit,

[00:15:58] which then Tevin gets the no reaction.

[00:16:01] So I'm so curious to see how that's gonna go.

[00:16:03] Well, that's the thing is

[00:16:04] that there's been so much speculation

[00:16:06] to the point where it feels like

[00:16:07] we kind of run ourselves in circles as to,

[00:16:09] okay, did Tevin know about her?

[00:16:11] And he threw a vote on to Venus to protect himself

[00:16:14] and for Sean the dark, or was he left out

[00:16:16] because the way they sort of edited it, right?

[00:16:18] Was him going, no, as she walked out,

[00:16:20] even though again, it was this whole buildup

[00:16:22] up to that point of him being like, all right,

[00:16:25] Soda gotta go to finally the vending machines

[00:16:27] all out of cash.

[00:16:29] And so we're going diet right now.

[00:16:31] I wonder though, if it comes down to again,

[00:16:35] this idea of splitting into two groups of six

[00:16:37] where you're thinking, if I don't get Soda out now

[00:16:40] can I build momentum against her?

[00:16:43] Like yes, Tevin does have the advantage

[00:16:45] or so he thinks of this plus one alliance

[00:16:47] which little does he know gets completely upended

[00:16:51] on the other side, which I do kind of wish

[00:16:53] another advantage of like doing this at the final 10

[00:16:56] if you have to is like, I do like the reaction

[00:16:58] of the other group coming in and like

[00:17:00] seeing someone sitting on the jury and being like,

[00:17:02] oh shit, okay, how is this gonna affect things?

[00:17:05] Like I would wonder if they look over

[00:17:07] and they see Tim sitting there,

[00:17:10] are they like changing their minds?

[00:17:12] Probably not with this group

[00:17:13] because they waffle but also they're incredibly blunt

[00:17:16] with their directions.

[00:17:17] But I do think that for Tevin,

[00:17:21] I would imagine maybe it was a case of like

[00:17:23] this has been fermenting for a long time.

[00:17:26] Really the theme of Nami this week was like

[00:17:28] lying in wait to finally make this move happen.

[00:17:31] Last week they tried to still stay unified,

[00:17:33] it still felt like a tribal game.

[00:17:34] It was just get through merge a Tory,

[00:17:36] make the merge and then we can start playing

[00:17:38] and it truly felt like on really a three,

[00:17:41] four pronged front that happened with those four Nami's.

[00:17:44] And so I do wonder for Tevin and Venus

[00:17:47] and maybe even Soda to a certain perspective

[00:17:49] wasn't a matter of okay,

[00:17:51] we can always take them out down the line

[00:17:53] but do we wanna keep giving them runway

[00:17:56] or are we gonna kinda ground the plane?

[00:17:58] Right now we have four votes.

[00:18:00] Now let's just use this now instead of having to

[00:18:04] have them survive and then hope for what?

[00:18:06] Six out of 10 moving forward.

[00:18:08] It's just really fascinating too

[00:18:10] because last week they were so focused

[00:18:12] on Nami versus Siga

[00:18:14] and then this week they were like,

[00:18:16] forget that and Siga like meanwhile

[00:18:18] Tim and Ben were over on the other tribe being like,

[00:18:21] no, we should be Siga strong

[00:18:22] and like Tim's like literally goes home

[00:18:24] because he's so committed to Siga

[00:18:26] and Yami could not care less.

[00:18:29] It was just like, it was amazing to see that

[00:18:32] just completely change when they had the easiest vote out

[00:18:35] that could possibly be ended.

[00:18:38] Right and I think that that goes to the point

[00:18:40] that you made earlier about how each tribe

[00:18:43] is so different and that's really interesting

[00:18:47] given the fact that the season

[00:18:48] like the castaways together all feel like a unit

[00:18:52] but then when you look at the individual tribes

[00:18:54] like how different each tribe is playing

[00:18:57] and the fact that Ben, like Ben and Tim

[00:18:59] I mean Tim would just not give an inch like at all

[00:19:03] and you're just like, bro

[00:19:04] if you're saying you're committed to the six person

[00:19:06] thing and you wanna vote out Hunter

[00:19:07] like that's the math ain't nothing

[00:19:10] like it's just not coming together.

[00:19:12] So no wonder Q was like suspicious of the whole situation.

[00:19:15] I mean he was but then he wasn't at the same time

[00:19:17] and he said that then he has the conversation with Bayon.

[00:19:19] That's my favorite thing is the way that Q says Ben

[00:19:22] with his withdrawal but here's the other thing

[00:19:25] and I treated about this

[00:19:27] but I really do wonder if it's something

[00:19:28] that will ever come up

[00:19:29] but if it's something that's kind of unconsciously

[00:19:31] affecting things on the island

[00:19:33] is that Q and Hunter have this incredibly tight connection.

[00:19:38] They are both from Mississippi

[00:19:39] they're both the first contestants from Mississippi

[00:19:42] in at least 15 years on the show.

[00:19:45] They were eyeing each other from when I talked with them

[00:19:48] two days beforehand.

[00:19:49] So I think on paper you would say like

[00:19:53] the one name I won't float out to Q in this moment is Hunter.

[00:19:57] Granted that you are limited options

[00:19:58] cause you can't really float out of Yanui there

[00:20:00] especially with Kenzie immune

[00:20:02] but I do wonder like are people clocking that?

[00:20:04] Maybe not a sega because they don't know other tribes

[00:20:07] but like is anyone on Nami saying,

[00:20:09] oh yeah I heard a Q's from Mississippi

[00:20:11] do you think him and Hunter have a thing going on?

[00:20:13] Did the Yanus are like

[00:20:14] Q's been spending a lot of time with Hunter though

[00:20:17] again they have much larger access

[00:20:18] to grind with Q it seems.

[00:20:21] I think that that's why I like this twist a lot.

[00:20:23] I'm kind of a, I'm more of a new modern era

[00:20:26] of survivor, apologist and defender

[00:20:29] and one of the things that I like about this

[00:20:31] is that it makes this particular twist

[00:20:34] that we've now seen a couple of times

[00:20:35] where two tribes go at the merge, the first tribe

[00:20:39] the first person does not make it to the jury.

[00:20:41] I know exactly what you're saying Mike

[00:20:44] I also would love the gag if you're second

[00:20:46] you get to know at least who got voted out the first one

[00:20:50] because I do think that that makes

[00:20:51] a really interesting scrambling for the second

[00:20:54] tribal council.

[00:20:55] So even if Jeff were to be like

[00:20:57] so and so voted out at the last tribal

[00:21:00] and just told them straight up

[00:21:02] and then just got to take a back seat to see like

[00:21:04] so you came in here with a specific idea

[00:21:06] but I've now told you who was voted out

[00:21:09] how's that change things now?

[00:21:10] And I think that that would have been interesting

[00:21:12] but I even think like that would have been a moment

[00:21:15] where I wonder if like Yami would have looked at each other

[00:21:17] like maybe we do go Charlie here

[00:21:22] and does that change the vote then off a soda over Enes?

[00:21:27] Right, I think especially with the

[00:21:29] like in this particular season

[00:21:30] with this six person alliance floating

[00:21:34] that doesn't really feel concrete by any means

[00:21:37] but people are still seemingly making decisions

[00:21:39] It is concrete because it's sunk at this point

[00:21:41] It's sunk.

[00:21:42] Yeah, truly literally concrete

[00:21:44] Yeah at the bottom of the ocean

[00:21:46] So that I think also adds an element to it

[00:21:49] of there are decisions based on this

[00:21:52] and so when one of the members

[00:21:53] of that supposed concrete alliance goes out

[00:21:56] like are we really willing to put all of our eggs

[00:22:00] in that sinking basket?

[00:22:02] Yeah because I mean we go to that nominated group

[00:22:06] right and the first thing Tevin says is

[00:22:07] oh people wanna go for Charlie

[00:22:09] but Maria and I know that there's a game

[00:22:11] that's larger than the buffs that we first threw on day one

[00:22:14] and so I do wonder if that didn't happen

[00:22:17] if we knew it was falling apart

[00:22:18] is Tevin like okay do I need to work with Maria more?

[00:22:21] Though again at that point

[00:22:23] I think it was also this idea of shaking up

[00:22:26] that quite literal soda bottle for seven episodes

[00:22:31] and then finally letting it loose of like

[00:22:33] at this point Tevin had such an idea in his head

[00:22:37] about both Venus and soda

[00:22:39] Soda told me that a couple days before she went out

[00:22:42] Tevin explicitly like had a conversation with her

[00:22:44] where she could feel him getting distant as he talked about

[00:22:47] and he told her like I don't trust you in Venus anymore

[00:22:51] basically and so A, I think you can't put the cat back

[00:22:56] on that tube of toothpaste though again

[00:22:58] this cast is so open and vocal with each other

[00:23:01] that maybe you can't considering that Venus sat down

[00:23:03] with Charlie it is like yeah I was pissed

[00:23:05] that you voted me off to the point

[00:23:06] that I blame soda but like let's work together now

[00:23:09] but I do think that Tevin just had this idea in his head

[00:23:12] by the time it got to this first vote

[00:23:14] and again it's not necessarily a proponent of like

[00:23:17] again the intentional Matt saying Lulu, Yanu

[00:23:20] whatever you want to call it

[00:23:21] but the idea of vote early vote often

[00:23:24] so that you can lock in with a group

[00:23:26] that you can at least say yeah

[00:23:28] I have at least some modicum of trust in you

[00:23:31] because we all wrote a name on a piece of paper together

[00:23:33] or vice versa.

[00:23:35] For sure and I also think too that it's

[00:23:39] I really think it's important to underline the fact

[00:23:42] that we have a unique show that we watch

[00:23:45] where like 99% of the people who are coming on now

[00:23:48] are super fans right?

[00:23:49] So they also not only want to make big moves

[00:23:52] for their own games so that they have a resume at the end

[00:23:54] they want to make big moves so that they're

[00:23:56] because they're on television

[00:23:58] like there was no other reason honestly for Tevin

[00:24:01] in this particular instance to be like

[00:24:03] let me try to orchestrate something

[00:24:06] because this is a moment where you're sitting back and going

[00:24:08] I need something big and these are two people

[00:24:11] who I don't trust who are on my own tribe.

[00:24:14] I'm trying to potentially get in with Maria

[00:24:16] with the six personal lines like you said

[00:24:19] not knowing that there's imploding

[00:24:21] on the other side of things over there

[00:24:24] and you're just kind of sitting back and going okay

[00:24:26] so Maria safe, okay Charlie would be the obvious vote out

[00:24:32] Venus is smart enough to know

[00:24:33] that she's probably the one that's gonna go

[00:24:35] not Charlie because we're gonna tell her that

[00:24:38] and instead of doing anything to kind of imply to Soda

[00:24:43] that there could be other moves

[00:24:46] other than just Venus at this point

[00:24:48] he kind of sinks his own ship with her

[00:24:50] and it at the end of the day

[00:24:52] it doesn't matter what everybody else on the tribe knows

[00:24:54] it only matters what the jury knows

[00:24:56] and what they're gonna believe from people

[00:24:58] when they come back.

[00:24:59] So Soda getting this high five moment

[00:25:01] and just got to say on the side

[00:25:03] what a classy exit and just like

[00:25:07] to be able to look at somebody who you've had

[00:25:09] kind of an antagonistic relationship with

[00:25:12] and be able to give them a hug

[00:25:13] and give them a kudos on the way out

[00:25:14] with knowing that your game is at the end

[00:25:17] like that is just kudos to Soda for that

[00:25:21] but that also means like how much more emotional

[00:25:24] like walls that she gonna have when she goes to the jury

[00:25:28] and people try to change the story

[00:25:29] after she just had this whole wonderful moment

[00:25:32] I think that she's gonna probably be a juror

[00:25:34] that sticks to her guns

[00:25:35] and Tevin's not gonna get any kind of credit

[00:25:38] for the work that he was doing

[00:25:40] to try to orchestrate this

[00:25:42] and that's the game.

[00:25:45] I mean, Venus really did say it was me

[00:25:47] and Soda said mama kudos for saying that

[00:25:49] for spilling.

[00:25:50] For spilling.

[00:25:52] Mama kudos, yes.

[00:25:54] Oh gosh, oh aircraft.

[00:25:57] Oh airport.

[00:25:59] Air on.

[00:26:01] I mean, that's the thing and Soda also,

[00:26:03] you know, first member of the jury

[00:26:05] that also means something, right?

[00:26:07] We've seen four men of the jury really have a lot of impact.

[00:26:10] So it's also entirely possible that like jurors come

[00:26:12] and Soda's like this is what happened, right?

[00:26:14] And starts continuing to perpetuate that narrative

[00:26:17] and until either Tevin I guess shows up

[00:26:19] really on the jury

[00:26:20] and then in that case we're not gonna win anyway.

[00:26:22] So, you know, that really puts him

[00:26:24] I think in a little bit of a pickle

[00:26:25] and I think that's yeah,

[00:26:27] something interesting to consider moving forward that

[00:26:30] and again, like we just missed so much of Nami.

[00:26:32] I feel like early on based on the fact

[00:26:34] that they were winning so much,

[00:26:36] which again kudos to them kudos for spilling whatever.

[00:26:39] So yeah, for winning.

[00:26:42] Nami, kudos for you for winning.

[00:26:47] I mean, look, so we just missed out

[00:26:49] on a lot of that personality

[00:26:50] and I'm actually really sad about that

[00:26:52] because I was so into Soda in the pre-season.

[00:26:54] I was like, I really liked his personality.

[00:26:56] She clicked with me.

[00:26:58] So I'm sad that we missed out on that,

[00:27:00] but you know what, hopefully she'll give us

[00:27:02] some great jury reactions.

[00:27:03] Now me, now me!

[00:27:05] Oh, she absolutely like she will let you know

[00:27:08] what she's thinking about you in that moment.

[00:27:10] Neutrality, thy name is not Soda,

[00:27:13] but even something like the hate boner

[00:27:15] that Liz had for Soda where like Tevin cups her

[00:27:17] she's like, I'm all ears.

[00:27:20] Go ahead, how do we kill her?

[00:27:22] Like Liz, even when I asked Soda about it,

[00:27:24] she's like, yeah, I don't know where that came from.

[00:27:26] It was interesting

[00:27:28] because Liz was just kind of laying on the beach

[00:27:29] and all of a sudden she's like, what?

[00:27:34] We're gonna take out Soda of all people.

[00:27:36] Like it was just like, I was like,

[00:27:38] oh, she has been preparing for this moment

[00:27:41] to like rise out of the coffin as a vampire

[00:27:44] to be like, let's do this.

[00:27:45] You know, it was interesting.

[00:27:46] I love Liz so much because in an enigma of a season

[00:27:50] featuring an enigma of a cast,

[00:27:51] she is the enigma to end all enigmas of like,

[00:27:54] Oh for sure.

[00:27:55] Here's this woman who hit the beach

[00:27:56] within the first three minutes and declared her net worth

[00:27:58] who refuses to search for idols

[00:28:01] that just kind of lays around camp

[00:28:03] who didn't bring her back to tribal council

[00:28:05] and openly glotes about it as well.

[00:28:08] This movement actually-

[00:28:09] It is also playing survivor allergic

[00:28:12] to everything that's on the island.

[00:28:15] She needs to make the finale in my opinion.

[00:28:17] It's incredible.

[00:28:17] If she makes the finale, she could be like,

[00:28:19] there's no reason that y'all should have let me be here.

[00:28:22] First of all, I had no business surviving on this island.

[00:28:26] I had no business.

[00:28:27] I told you from the get go,

[00:28:28] I was a millionaire who didn't need this money

[00:28:31] and y'all just like kicks the can with me

[00:28:33] down here to the end.

[00:28:34] You all should feel stupid and give me the million dollars.

[00:28:37] Like if that was, I would do it.

[00:28:39] I'd be like, you know what?

[00:28:40] Screw strategy, you're a thousand percent right.

[00:28:43] That's the goat game.

[00:28:44] That's the goaded goat game right there.

[00:28:48] That's what I'm wondering.

[00:28:49] Is it more goat and not so much goat?

[00:28:52] You know what I mean?

[00:28:54] That's my concern for her.

[00:28:55] Is it more Tim or Jim or Shim?

[00:28:57] Yeah, and I'm not talking Shim.

[00:29:00] So it's really just the fact that if you're sitting

[00:29:03] at the end, everybody's gonna be like, nah.

[00:29:06] I don't know.

[00:29:07] It's such a hard time seeing her winning the money.

[00:29:09] Well, here's the thing.

[00:29:10] Let me also start making predictions

[00:29:12] for the finale that's in a month's time.

[00:29:15] I think we're gonna see Ben get carted off to a new beach.

[00:29:19] I think all the moments where Ben is being targeted

[00:29:23] of like, well, he's too social.

[00:29:25] We've gotta get rid of him.

[00:29:26] We've now seen twice people are like, nah,

[00:29:29] there's bigger fish to fry.

[00:29:31] And now I think he's gonna be personified

[00:29:33] as someone who doesn't really have anyone, right?

[00:29:35] Tim was the one that was really perceived

[00:29:37] as like his main number one.

[00:29:39] And he really isn't looked at as like, I don't know.

[00:29:41] I know people are saying like, oh my God,

[00:29:43] this guy's incredibly dangerous.

[00:29:44] But like, I don't know.

[00:29:46] I love Ben because he is Ben.

[00:29:49] Like this is not a baby holding a dagger.

[00:29:52] It's just a baby.

[00:29:53] And I can imagine from that perspective,

[00:29:56] especially as these people are so hungry

[00:30:00] to take a bite out of anyone that might seem threatening

[00:30:03] that he's just gonna keep slipping

[00:30:05] and rocking his way to the final five.

[00:30:08] I also think too, we see,

[00:30:10] I felt like while the emphasis was more on Kenzie,

[00:30:14] we do see some pretty human moments from Ben this episode.

[00:30:18] Not only having a panic attack where Kenzie,

[00:30:21] calm down by saying like,

[00:30:25] thank you for sharing,

[00:30:26] for spilling that you're having a panic attack.

[00:30:28] You know, having a marmot.

[00:30:31] Everyone's gonna be like, what does that mean?

[00:30:32] If you don't watch Drag Race, sorry.

[00:30:33] Go watch your post-Drag Race 2016.

[00:30:35] It's pretty damn fantastic.

[00:30:37] You'll be telling us thank you for kudos.

[00:30:41] Thank you.

[00:30:41] Kudos for saying that.

[00:30:42] Thank you for spilling.

[00:30:44] But I also feel like, we have this moment

[00:30:47] where I know I identified with it where he was like,

[00:30:50] I feel like a lot of people see me

[00:30:52] as kind of the dancing monkey entertainer of their lives

[00:30:55] and that I bring warmth to people,

[00:30:56] but who's keeping me warm?

[00:30:58] And I literally in that moment, I was like, I see you.

[00:31:02] I see you, Ben.

[00:31:03] And like this whole time I've been like, okay, Ben,

[00:31:05] like whatever, like it's kind of a whatever character.

[00:31:07] But you start to really feel that kind of human connection

[00:31:11] and emotion to people on the screen.

[00:31:12] And I don't think you put that in the episode

[00:31:14] unless it means something moving forward.

[00:31:17] And I also think like, just one thing about Soda is like,

[00:31:21] this entire, her edit has been so weird to me.

[00:31:24] The first episode was very Soda focused on that tribe.

[00:31:28] Nami had a lot to say and she was the spokesperson.

[00:31:32] You know?

[00:31:32] And then the second episode,

[00:31:33] it's like she goes from being like,

[00:31:36] the head cheerleader to being-

[00:31:38] On the bleachers.

[00:31:39] Just being on the bleachers, exactly.

[00:31:42] She's like, oh.

[00:31:43] Oh.

[00:31:44] Oh.

[00:31:45] Oh.

[00:31:45] Oh.

[00:31:46] Oh.

[00:31:47] Oh.

[00:31:48] Oh.

[00:31:49] Oh.

[00:31:50] Oh.

[00:31:50] Oh.

[00:31:51] Oh.

[00:31:52] Oh.

[00:31:53] Oh, gosh.

[00:31:54] I got this cue.

[00:31:55] Oh, tomorrow.

[00:31:56] Oh.

[00:31:57] Oh.

[00:31:58] Oh.

[00:31:59] Oh.

[00:32:00] She also like, I felt like her edit just turned

[00:32:03] into being a supporting character for Venus or Tevin

[00:32:06] at the end of the day where it's like all about

[00:32:08] how Soda is making Tevin or Venus feel

[00:32:11] and not necessarily getting Soda's perspective

[00:32:13] on the things that she's saying and doing.

[00:32:16] And that is really interesting when I read any kind of edit,

[00:32:19] especially in the beginning,

[00:32:20] because I'm saying that is somebody who's important

[00:32:22] to the story, but the story's not about them.

[00:32:25] And so I kind of figured she would make it to jury,

[00:32:28] but probably wouldn't go too far.

[00:32:29] But what does that say about Venus and Tevin then?

[00:32:33] Right, because that's the other thing as well

[00:32:34] is especially, getting to speak with her and look,

[00:32:36] everyone has their side to a story,

[00:32:38] but I think getting some insight as to why

[00:32:41] she handled the relationship with Venus the way she did,

[00:32:43] which was like we were talking about

[00:32:45] with the sinking basket of eggs, Leona,

[00:32:47] I think to use the metaphor he used before

[00:32:49] that she got that sense from like day two was like,

[00:32:52] okay, this isn't working.

[00:32:53] Venus is coming to her being like,

[00:32:55] help me please, I'm drowning.

[00:32:57] And she's like, I am trying,

[00:32:59] but you are dragging me down with me.

[00:33:01] You know, I wonder if it is this matter

[00:33:03] of Venus being shown in a certain way,

[00:33:06] being shown as this like big underdog.

[00:33:08] And so therefore like anyone who's in opposition to her

[00:33:11] must go for Venus to survive.

[00:33:13] Right.

[00:33:14] Okay, so I'm happy you brought up the edit

[00:33:16] because after, so Puy and I have started doing

[00:33:19] after each episode we write down who we think the winner is.

[00:33:22] It's almost like our little edgy jar put

[00:33:23] just for the winner.

[00:33:24] Ooh, I love.

[00:33:25] I had Soda as my winner pick after episode one.

[00:33:27] She had an opening confessional.

[00:33:28] She got a decent amount of content.

[00:33:30] The narrative centered was around her as you mentioned

[00:33:33] and then it just like crashed after that.

[00:33:36] And it was so disappointing

[00:33:38] because I was really excited to see her play.

[00:33:40] But as you said, it wasn't never,

[00:33:41] it didn't, except for the first episode.

[00:33:44] It's never about her after that.

[00:33:46] It came about her relation in relation to other people, right?

[00:33:50] In relation to Tevin, in relation to Venus.

[00:33:52] And so that, yeah, she just lost that longevity

[00:33:56] in terms of her storyline.

[00:33:58] And I was sad about it, but now I'm curious to know

[00:34:01] then how that narrative is gonna play out

[00:34:03] with regards to the other two.

[00:34:04] And that's why I think it's interesting

[00:34:06] because Ben has the exact opposite

[00:34:07] where it's everybody's been like,

[00:34:09] oh, Ben is like somewhat unrelated to

[00:34:11] but it's from their perspective

[00:34:12] and it's never been from Ben's.

[00:34:13] And then this episode was a little bit more

[00:34:15] from Ben's perspective.

[00:34:17] And so that is interesting to read into as well.

[00:34:22] Okay, round two.

[00:34:23] Name something that's not boring.

[00:34:26] Laundry?

[00:34:27] Ooh, a book club.

[00:36:53] See website for details.

[00:36:55] Yeah, maybe it was to again do that fake out of,

[00:36:58] again, I certainly felt like Ben was going,

[00:37:00] especially the way that everyone was like,

[00:37:03] basically weeping at tribal council.

[00:37:05] And then it's like, oh no, it's Shim

[00:37:06] at the end of all that.

[00:37:08] But I guess people loved him too.

[00:37:10] What I will say though is I don't do the Leon edgic,

[00:37:14] if you will, but I do think this episode was strong

[00:37:17] for one particular person.

[00:37:18] If I did that exercise with you, Leona,

[00:37:21] like this is Kenzies.

[00:37:23] I'm trying to do a K.

[00:37:24] Yeah.

[00:37:25] Oh, what are you doing?

[00:37:26] I don't know.

[00:37:27] I don't know, but my board has said Kenzie.

[00:37:30] I had Tiffany, I think maybe one or two episodes,

[00:37:32] but my board has been straight Kenzie.

[00:37:35] And this has just continued to emphasize to me,

[00:37:38] Kenzie is to me the, like either,

[00:37:42] I just, she had, I mean, I don't know.

[00:37:44] She just to me, she's gotta be the winner.

[00:37:46] I just don't understand-

[00:37:47] She's the mermaid dragon.

[00:37:48] She's the mermaid dragon.

[00:37:50] The first mythical creature to win survivor.

[00:37:52] I mean, here's the thing.

[00:37:54] I've seen a lot from the beginning with random

[00:37:56] right about how Venus is the new poverty.

[00:37:59] Kenzie is the new poverty.

[00:38:00] Let's like-

[00:38:01] Ooh!

[00:38:02] Ooh!

[00:38:03] Okay. I think that's a claim.

[00:38:05] Well, because like-

[00:38:06] I don't think there is that a like though.

[00:38:08] I don't know.

[00:38:09] I mean, I think if you have to make a claim,

[00:38:11] I mean, listen, I think poverty is unfortunately

[00:38:13] put in that corner of like, yeah, flirting too.

[00:38:15] But I think it's that charm offensive.

[00:38:17] It's this idea of like making someone feel good.

[00:38:20] It's coming in from this very minoritized position,

[00:38:23] which Parvati certainly did in Heroes vs. Villains

[00:38:25] and being able to like navigate a foothold in it

[00:38:28] where she's not the most threatening of her allies.

[00:38:30] I think also the way she was being looked at

[00:38:32] in the pre-merge and being talked about

[00:38:34] was the way that Parvati was kind of spoken about

[00:38:36] in the pre-merge of Heroes vs. Villains as well.

[00:38:38] It's not a complete apples to apples comparison,

[00:38:40] but I would say it's much closer to the fruit proper

[00:38:42] than what Venus is doing.

[00:38:44] Oh, for sure.

[00:38:45] And I think too that,

[00:38:46] I think that that's a really important point

[00:38:48] because I think a lot, I've seen a lot of people saying

[00:38:50] that Venus is the new Parvati.

[00:38:52] And I was like, here's the thing.

[00:38:54] Venus is probably Parvati in Cook Islands,

[00:38:57] but not any other season.

[00:39:00] And a lot of that is because Parvati knows how to read people

[00:39:05] and then respond to them to make them feel good

[00:39:07] and Venus does not give a damn how they feel

[00:39:10] she's gonna tell you her opinion.

[00:39:12] And you know what?

[00:39:13] Strategically, she has really good strategy.

[00:39:14] She just doesn't know how to read people

[00:39:16] and have maybe the emotional intelligence

[00:39:19] to have those conversations to kind of manipulate

[00:39:22] through the charm offensive, like you said.

[00:39:24] And I can see that with Kenzie,

[00:39:25] but I also feel like this episode in particular,

[00:39:29] like if she doesn't win kudos to the editors,

[00:39:34] I was like, I was like, I'm not gonna say it.

[00:39:37] Say the word kudos, that's all I think about.

[00:39:38] Okay, yes.

[00:39:40] Kudos to the editors for like this incredible fake out

[00:39:43] because this was such a good episode for her.

[00:39:46] I mean, the thing is, is like her edit is almost so dominant

[00:39:48] that it knocks her out,

[00:39:49] especially because women stereotypically

[00:39:51] have not had really strong edits.

[00:39:53] Like Dee's edit was very good,

[00:39:55] but she was in the middle of the pack for confessionals.

[00:39:57] It's not like she was top of the list,

[00:39:59] which Kenzie is in terms of getting

[00:40:01] the number of confessionals.

[00:40:02] That being said, she went to tribal council

[00:40:05] and almost every single time

[00:40:07] except for God smiting random.

[00:40:09] So there's a reason why she ended up going so much.

[00:40:12] So okay, maybe that's like the reason for it.

[00:40:15] Between the opening episode,

[00:40:17] which to me is a big indicator of potential candidates

[00:40:20] for the win consistently throughout.

[00:40:24] I mean, it's just, it's been absolutely stellar.

[00:40:26] And we've been able to see the way

[00:40:28] that other people respond to her as well.

[00:40:29] Like the tribal council in this episode

[00:40:32] with the whole like love fest thing that was happening.

[00:40:34] I mean, Q.

[00:40:37] Yes, a KU.

[00:40:39] A Q was like, and we need to shout out to her.

[00:40:41] Like of all the big dudes,

[00:40:43] throwing the challenges myself,

[00:40:45] the top champion included, you know,

[00:40:48] like good job, Kenzie.

[00:40:50] Like that was so cute.

[00:40:51] I loved that.

[00:40:52] Well, I also imagine from his perspective,

[00:40:54] it's a bit like, hey, I'm not doing well in the challenges.

[00:40:56] She is, please get rid of her over me.

[00:40:58] Yeah, focus on her.

[00:40:59] He's such a gig target.

[00:41:01] Yeah.

[00:41:02] Yeah, but-

[00:41:03] His arrogance though for the like,

[00:41:05] when they were talking about can anybody be a hunter?

[00:41:07] And he was like, well,

[00:41:10] you don't even know.

[00:41:12] Honestly, like I am so sorry for the people

[00:41:14] who are not obsessed with this man

[00:41:16] at this point of the season.

[00:41:17] What an incredible television character

[00:41:20] where yeah, he has that confessional where he's like,

[00:41:23] Tim says that nobody can be a hunter in the challenges

[00:41:25] and debatable.

[00:41:29] I just had the moment and I'm not even joking.

[00:41:32] When you just said, Tim says, I was like, who's Tim?

[00:41:34] And then I was like, oh yeah, Jim.

[00:41:38] But no, you know what I think is interesting

[00:41:40] is that I had a full on kind of argument

[00:41:44] with my friend and co-host Tyler

[00:41:47] as to whether or not he actually threw the challenge.

[00:41:52] And I said, we've seen him when he doesn't do well

[00:41:56] and he does not handle that well.

[00:41:59] So he handled it well this time,

[00:42:01] but is it because an entire tribe

[00:42:02] isn't dependent on going to tribal council?

[00:42:04] You're gonna go anyway?

[00:42:05] So you might as well go to, oh yeah, I fell.

[00:42:08] Wait, or you know what I mean?

[00:42:10] But I think he was telling the truth.

[00:42:13] I think that he fell on purpose.

[00:42:14] I agree, I think what doesn't help

[00:42:17] is him really digging in by being like,

[00:42:18] and I purposely wanted to be not immune for this vote,

[00:42:22] which is like an odd 5D chess level of thinking.

[00:42:27] I can understand it if you're like,

[00:42:29] I am the safest in this tribe by far

[00:42:31] because I have the Yannous

[00:42:32] and I have this plus one alliance

[00:42:34] where no votes are going to come to me.

[00:42:37] It's just very on the couch.

[00:42:38] It's like, all is going to plan.

[00:42:43] So here's that, to a certain extent,

[00:42:45] I almost understand it where it's like,

[00:42:48] if I can't rely on the alliances

[00:42:50] that I've built up till this point,

[00:42:53] I'm never gonna win.

[00:42:54] So let's just figure it out now

[00:42:56] because otherwise I'll get to go chill at Ponderosa

[00:42:59] and just hang out, right?

[00:43:01] So maybe-

[00:43:02] I have long said,

[00:43:05] if I'm not gonna be in the final three of Survivor,

[00:43:08] I wanna be the first juror.

[00:43:10] And I mean that with my whole heart

[00:43:12] because I wanna have a vacation after all of this

[00:43:15] and sit and read and not have to think about anything

[00:43:18] and have people come back and be like,

[00:43:20] you smell bad, go take a shower.

[00:43:22] We'll have some french fries.

[00:43:24] I'm your ivory throne.

[00:43:26] Yes, and it'll be like,

[00:43:27] oh, welcome to Beth's Ponderosa.

[00:43:29] This is, you know, like I,

[00:43:30] I wanna be the warden of Ponderosa.

[00:43:32] That's where I wanna be.

[00:43:33] You know who would make a fantastic foreman

[00:43:35] for the jury from that perspective?

[00:43:37] David Jolinsky.

[00:43:39] I'm just saying.

[00:43:40] Welcome to Jolinsky's house of fun.

[00:43:43] Bring him back.

[00:43:44] Take several seats.

[00:43:45] I can't fit on seven though.

[00:43:49] Oh man, why a cross of-

[00:43:51] I mean, Q is just like,

[00:43:54] again, I will say what I said last week,

[00:43:56] the pure audacity of this man

[00:43:58] that he starts the episode where Venus immediately goes

[00:44:03] to the soda being like, you voted for me.

[00:44:05] And so I was like, nope, it's that person

[00:44:07] who played the shot in the dark.

[00:44:08] And then Charlie says, all right,

[00:44:09] I feel bad about this.

[00:44:10] I don't wanna start our relationship with a lie

[00:44:12] because it was me.

[00:44:13] And then Q pulls on the side and goes,

[00:44:15] bad Charlie, that was a very bad Charlie.

[00:44:18] Do you know what you did?

[00:44:20] Incredible.

[00:44:21] Wild, that this man has known him for a day

[00:44:24] and he's not even part of his plus one alliance.

[00:44:26] It's like, nice to meet you.

[00:44:28] How dare you?

[00:44:30] It's incredible.

[00:44:31] I just sat back and I was thinking to myself like,

[00:44:34] he literally just took somebody who said,

[00:44:37] I don't want there to be lies or drama.

[00:44:41] And then came to him with essentially drama.

[00:44:46] He's like, I don't want conflict.

[00:44:47] I'm gonna give you conflict

[00:44:48] because you don't want conflict.

[00:44:50] It's like, okay.

[00:44:52] Man, I love Q.

[00:44:53] Yeah, there were so many great Q moments in this episode.

[00:44:56] Like from the scolding to obviously everything

[00:44:59] with the challenge and him just getting so indignant

[00:45:01] with people not playing correctly.

[00:45:04] Up.

[00:45:05] Can I play the clip?

[00:45:08] Sorry, I have the test pulled up

[00:45:09] because there's one particular moment

[00:45:11] that I have to highlight here.

[00:45:13] Cincinnati.

[00:45:14] Here we go.

[00:45:17] All right.

[00:45:20] Y'all wanna play the alphabet game?

[00:45:21] Okay.

[00:45:22] Yeah.

[00:45:23] We're like cities or food or something?

[00:45:25] Yep.

[00:45:26] Yes.

[00:45:27] Somebody started.

[00:45:28] A for Atlanta.

[00:45:30] Atlanta, who's next?

[00:45:31] B for Birmingham.

[00:45:32] You have to say Atlanta being whatever.

[00:45:35] So started, huh?

[00:45:36] A Atlanta.

[00:45:39] B for Baltimore.

[00:45:40] Oh my goodness, you're out, man.

[00:45:42] Let's go this.

[00:45:43] C for Cincinnati.

[00:45:46] We gotta say, wait, what?

[00:45:48] You can't skip B.

[00:45:49] But Ben said two Bs already.

[00:45:51] Q's making up the rules there.

[00:45:53] So you say A for Atlanta.

[00:45:54] Atlanta.

[00:45:55] Oh, I gotta start all over?

[00:45:56] Yes.

[00:45:57] C for Cincinnati.

[00:45:59] Oh my God.

[00:46:01] Wait, I'll go.

[00:46:02] There we go.

[00:46:03] There we go, Charlie.

[00:46:04] All right.

[00:46:04] I got this.

[00:46:05] You ready?

[00:46:06] Go.

[00:46:08] Baltimore.

[00:46:09] Oh my God.

[00:46:12] Charlie knows.

[00:46:14] New game.

[00:46:15] Who's next?

[00:46:16] I don't think in my life

[00:46:17] I've ever heard a verbal double take

[00:46:21] where when Q's talking to Liz

[00:46:22] and she says C for Cincinnati,

[00:46:24] he goes, I think you gotta, wait, what?

[00:46:26] He literally basically goes,

[00:46:30] It's so good.

[00:46:31] It's so good.

[00:46:32] This moment I just sat back

[00:46:34] and at first I was writing with Q

[00:46:36] and I was like, this is very frustrating.

[00:46:38] Why can't they get it?

[00:46:38] And then I was like, you know what?

[00:46:40] I kind of wonder if Liz was also

[00:46:43] kind of pulling the chain a little bit.

[00:46:45] But we don't know

[00:46:45] because we haven't really gotten to know her too much.

[00:46:47] But she's such an enigma.

[00:46:48] I wouldn't be surprised if she was like,

[00:46:52] but he got to say two Bs.

[00:46:54] How come I can't say Cincinnati?

[00:46:56] Like, I love that so much.

[00:46:58] I think my favorite part is that Ben changes

[00:47:01] from Birmingham to Baltimore.

[00:47:02] That was nearer.

[00:47:04] Yeah, like that was nearer too.

[00:47:05] Oh, I'm sorry.

[00:47:06] We're not staying in the South.

[00:47:07] Okay, I understand.

[00:47:08] I could tell that.

[00:47:10] Here's the thing.

[00:47:11] I knew exactly why he did that.

[00:47:12] He thought to himself,

[00:47:13] oh, I gotta come up with a city

[00:47:15] that starts with the letter beforehand in like,

[00:47:18] so it's B A instead of Birmingham.

[00:47:21] Like that's what I'm thinking.

[00:47:22] He's probably going through.

[00:47:23] But it was so funny.

[00:47:26] But can we also talk about this challenge for a second?

[00:47:28] Oh, of course.

[00:47:30] First of all, I said the week before,

[00:47:33] I was like, this is if there's one challenge

[00:47:35] I think I'd be good at.

[00:47:36] It's this one because I've spent pretty much

[00:47:38] every summer of my life just standing on top of an inner tube

[00:47:41] on my like as boats go by and just not follow you off.

[00:47:44] And I was like, this is it.

[00:47:45] I could do this no problem.

[00:47:46] Are you Jesus Christ?

[00:47:47] How do you do that?

[00:47:50] Supreme balance ability.

[00:47:52] It's the only thing I could bring to this.

[00:47:55] Beth could stand on an inner tube.

[00:47:56] That's about it.

[00:47:58] But that's all I have.

[00:48:00] And this was so weird because I felt like normally

[00:48:03] they start at the lowest footholds and get up

[00:48:05] and they just only did the top foothold

[00:48:08] and then had the widest top platform

[00:48:11] I've ever seen in my life.

[00:48:13] Like they were like, I don't know.

[00:48:14] Can you guys hold on?

[00:48:15] I was like, well, it's way wider than anybody's feet.

[00:48:19] So yes, I think they can.

[00:48:21] So I don't know.

[00:48:22] I just felt like this was changed a little bit.

[00:48:24] Curious about your thoughts.

[00:48:25] Well, I felt like much to the chagrin of the 42 contestants

[00:48:29] them replaying what this was like under their season

[00:48:33] where the weather was so choppy, the way it was really bad.

[00:48:37] And you got to see almost like the other side of that.

[00:48:39] My assumption is because the water was so flat

[00:48:42] that that's why they started up already higher.

[00:48:44] Or that we've kind of fast forwarded that

[00:48:47] maybe they did start on a lower rung

[00:48:48] and move their way up.

[00:48:49] So that's the thing is they could certainly audible things

[00:48:52] on the fly.

[00:48:52] My assumption is that they had planned

[00:48:54] for the worst case scenario

[00:48:56] because also remember like this season

[00:48:58] has been pretty rough weather wise.

[00:49:00] It's been very rainy, very stormy,

[00:49:02] very rough waters in general.

[00:49:04] And so they thought, okay,

[00:49:06] let's try to handicap ourselves a bit.

[00:49:08] And then when it turns out to be Lake Placid,

[00:49:10] like they can't exactly shave down

[00:49:12] the wooden platforms at the last minute.

[00:49:14] I'm surprised they didn't go to one foot sooner.

[00:49:18] I mean, maybe they were just kind of looking

[00:49:19] at like their calendar and like, well, shit,

[00:49:21] we got to get two tribes to separate beaches

[00:49:23] and go to tribal council that night.

[00:49:24] So, and that's another underrated moment,

[00:49:27] I think that gets forgotten in this challenge

[00:49:28] was Tevins, come on leg.

[00:49:30] Come on leg.

[00:49:31] And I was like, okay, somebody knows Jaden,

[00:49:33] do your fear, somebody knows.

[00:49:35] Well, ganja, stronja, let's work.

[00:49:38] But I was, I think they did start the challenge there

[00:49:43] or at the very least like they moved up very quickly

[00:49:45] because when Jeff says the several minutes thing,

[00:49:49] they're at the top there.

[00:49:51] So it seems kind of weird that they would have done.

[00:49:53] But regardless, I also saw a tweet from Abby Marina,

[00:49:57] Maria that was talking about how they reset

[00:49:59] that one during Cambodia and that she was like,

[00:50:03] she was like, I was gonna win that.

[00:50:05] And then we reset.

[00:50:07] All right, this is the opposite of Q.

[00:50:09] I know, that's what I'm saying.

[00:50:10] And so she was saying that I got a,

[00:50:12] that she was like, then I got a horrible butt crap.

[00:50:14] And then I had to, then I fell off and Joe won.

[00:50:17] She goes, but beforehand Joe was kind of struggling

[00:50:19] and I was gonna win, but they reset us.

[00:50:22] And I was like, oh man, that's it.

[00:50:23] Cause it was downpour raining during Cambodia

[00:50:25] when they did that one.

[00:50:26] Do you think Abby has a literal BBL?

[00:50:33] Cause she has a BL for sure, Brazilian.

[00:50:37] She has a Brazilian butt or BBL.

[00:50:40] Yeah, she has a BBL, not a BL.

[00:50:41] Not a BBL.

[00:50:43] Yeah. What's the lift portion?

[00:50:46] Maybe that was the problem.

[00:50:47] Love.

[00:50:49] Big, big, big Brazilian butt love.

[00:50:50] Brazilian butt love.

[00:50:52] That feels like something you search for on a website.

[00:50:54] Yeah.

[00:50:56] Not Google.

[00:50:59] But anyway, yeah, no, I just,

[00:51:01] I love this challenge in particular.

[00:51:03] And it just, I felt like because it was so calm

[00:51:07] the fact that we got to have some

[00:51:08] of these character moments just made it so much better.

[00:51:11] And then you have Q on the side bench

[00:51:13] and being like, my daddy told me that when I'm not in a fight

[00:51:15] I can't say anything.

[00:51:16] And that like three minutes later

[00:51:17] he's like trying to get it in the fight.

[00:51:19] And Tim's like, I thought you were supposed to shut up.

[00:51:23] It was, the banter was so good

[00:51:25] where Tim is doing his shout outs

[00:51:26] and Q is trying to be like Luther,

[00:51:29] the Obama translator for Jeff being like,

[00:51:32] see Jeff, this is how black people talk on the radio.

[00:51:33] Shout out to my uncle, Poo Poo.

[00:51:35] It's just like I'm gonna poo poo on this idea right now.

[00:51:38] Oh, forgot about the big brother shout out.

[00:51:40] So when Tim started doing that I was like,

[00:51:42] oh my God, what's happening?

[00:51:44] Like someone must have just watched Gableur.

[00:51:48] I can do that with his Alaskan buddy

[00:51:50] or whatever the whole state of Alaska or whatever it was.

[00:51:52] They filmed like five months after 43 ended.

[00:51:56] So I think it was a bit top of mind that they're like,

[00:51:57] all right, let's just start shouting people out.

[00:52:00] Yep, yeah.

[00:52:01] Oh, so good.

[00:52:02] And that's the thing, like if the challenge

[00:52:03] because otherwise imagine this picture this.

[00:52:06] No one's, okay, good.

[00:52:08] No one's talking, right?

[00:52:10] That's so boring.

[00:52:11] Like nothing's happening.

[00:52:12] Just calm waters, no one's chit chatting.

[00:52:15] So I'm very happy that this over the top cast

[00:52:19] just went for it.

[00:52:20] And I think, now listen,

[00:52:22] I don't know if I'm speculating correctly.

[00:52:26] I think we might be playing hide and seek next week.

[00:52:30] Just for fun or-

[00:52:31] Wait, what?

[00:52:32] So-

[00:52:33] Is not why he's in the tree?

[00:52:35] I think that's why Hunter's in the tree

[00:52:37] because I think there's also a shot of like

[00:52:38] Kenzie hiding in a bush.

[00:52:40] And unless everyone just like got a Marsha the Moose task

[00:52:43] about go hide somewhere, I'm pretty sure this cast,

[00:52:47] I rod clean up after the camp counselor leaves and so to

[00:52:49] they're like, we're kind of bored today.

[00:52:52] Y'all want to play hide and seek?

[00:52:53] And then I would love if everyone played hide and seek

[00:52:55] and trolled Q by being like, here I am Q.

[00:52:58] I think it would be so much better

[00:53:00] if they tried to play Sardines

[00:53:01] and everybody has to get up in the tree with Hunter

[00:53:04] except for the last person.

[00:53:05] And then it's just like eight people up in a tree

[00:53:09] and the three people on the ground, like what's happening?

[00:53:11] Oh my God.

[00:53:12] Let's just like, I'm not climbing that thing.

[00:53:13] She'll just be like at the bottom of the tree laying there.

[00:53:18] And a black shock.

[00:53:21] All right, well let's get into perhaps two shocking boots.

[00:53:26] Let's get into some preseason predictions

[00:53:27] about our double boots this week.

[00:53:30] We can't wait to hear this.

[00:53:31] All right, whether he be named Tim, Jim, Shem,

[00:53:35] we can certainly name him the final pre-juror of Survivor 46.

[00:53:39] Leanna, how'd you think Tim was gonna do preseason?

[00:53:42] Okay, how about Spice as an alternative name for Tim?

[00:53:49] Yes, he didn't give himself that to me.

[00:53:51] Yeah, so that's what I went with because

[00:53:55] so I had Spice making the jury and I said,

[00:54:00] Tim or Spice as he requests to be called

[00:54:04] is a beast in early team immunity challenges

[00:54:08] as a former triathlete with Siga only using

[00:54:11] losing one immunity challenge.

[00:54:13] Siga comes into the merge with numbers baby,

[00:54:16] although this makes them a target for both Yanu and Nami.

[00:54:20] Spice escapes the first few Siga boots

[00:54:23] through his social connections with Soda and Hunter.

[00:54:26] Parentheses they all work with kids.

[00:54:28] So I think that's supposed to be like what they bonded.

[00:54:30] Oh, okay.

[00:54:32] Yeah.

[00:54:33] Sadly his social connections were never strong enough

[00:54:36] and he finished mid-jury.

[00:54:38] Spice would go on a journey and lose his vote.

[00:54:41] His allies were Hunter and Soda

[00:54:43] and his enemy was Siga being good at challenges pre-merge.

[00:54:47] So are you suggesting that Soda was the sugar to Tim Spice?

[00:54:53] Yes!

[00:54:54] And Hunter is everything nice.

[00:54:56] Yes!

[00:54:58] Soda and Spice and everything Hunter.

[00:55:01] Does that roll?

[00:55:03] It feels like it's another night I could go to.

[00:55:05] Ooh!

[00:55:11] Looks like I've heard an automata pee on a podcast

[00:55:14] quite some time.

[00:55:15] Like guttural groan.

[00:55:17] I actually had a very similar placement for Tim.

[00:55:20] Actually, I will point out that in my mocked up boot order

[00:55:24] I had Jim, Mariah and Tim all kind of going

[00:55:26] within a sequence of three boots.

[00:55:29] So I had Tim making the jury.

[00:55:30] Did have him going by his Christian name.

[00:55:32] So that Tim becomes the early leader of Siga

[00:55:34] and appoints himself Tribe Dad.

[00:55:37] Like Bruce before him, though it starts out well

[00:55:39] his routine begins to wear on the Siga tribe.

[00:55:42] Tim is one of the reasons that Siga goes undefeated

[00:55:45] pre-merge cementing himself as a challenge threat

[00:55:47] for the individual game.

[00:55:49] Tim will be one of the most adamant people

[00:55:51] to go on journeys and hunt for idols on his tribe.

[00:55:54] Not realizing his closest ally, Jim

[00:55:56] is in possession of an advantage herself.

[00:55:59] True to his pre-season mood, we'll get at least one scene

[00:56:02] of him feeling homesick and talking about how he's

[00:56:04] doing it for his kids.

[00:56:06] And some of you have heard this before,

[00:56:07] but Tim is yet another victim of the Siga calling

[00:56:10] that happens mid-merge.

[00:56:11] I think Leon and I had very similar narratives

[00:56:13] for the season.

[00:56:14] After Jim's boot, he's seen as the mouthpiece

[00:56:17] of the Alliance and the biggest challenge threat.

[00:56:19] And when he's sent out, he surprisingly gets emotional.

[00:56:22] His ally was Jim and his enemy was anyone not on Siga?

[00:56:26] Yeah.

[00:56:26] OK, that's pretty accurate.

[00:56:29] What was his closing confessional?

[00:56:31] Didn't he say something about sexy as dad?

[00:56:33] Yes.

[00:56:34] Or something.

[00:56:34] I'm the sexiest dad to have lost the game or something like that.

[00:56:38] Yeah, he played survivor.

[00:56:39] He even goes after her.

[00:56:40] Oh, wow.

[00:56:42] Which prompted Tyler and myself to say,

[00:56:44] we need to run a brant steal of sexy daddies.

[00:56:49] He's a dad I'd like to vote out, a real Dilvo.

[00:56:51] Ooh, hey-oh.

[00:56:53] Can we not make that a thing?

[00:56:59] No, I want to make it a thing.

[00:57:00] Yeah, we get that as merch in the shop, just like Dilvo.

[00:57:04] Put it in like Times New Roman Fonts,

[00:57:06] no survivor iconography involved.

[00:57:10] Garamond.

[00:57:11] Garamond plane.

[00:57:15] Oh my gosh.

[00:57:17] Well, you guys had very similar trajectories

[00:57:21] for the Siga tribe and a little bit about Tim as well.

[00:57:25] I'm trying to figure out who I think called it a little bit.

[00:57:31] And it's really difficult.

[00:57:33] But I think I have to go with Mike

[00:57:35] because there are just a few things that I feel like,

[00:57:37] you know, not knowing that Gem had an advantage, for example.

[00:57:41] Like he knew, I think he got to a point

[00:57:44] where he kind of figured out that she might have something.

[00:57:46] He literally asked her or he said he told her,

[00:57:49] oh yeah, you hit that B-ware advantage, didn't you?

[00:57:51] And she was like, no.

[00:57:54] But I think that there's just little aspects

[00:57:56] that are really funny.

[00:57:57] And I think that the thing that really got me with Mike's

[00:58:01] is he has an emotional goodbye.

[00:58:03] He literally stops to cry on his way out,

[00:58:08] both Soda and him having very emotional exits.

[00:58:11] But I don't think we expected it as much for Tim.

[00:58:15] And so you know, that just hit my heart string.

[00:58:18] So I have to go with Mike in this situation.

[00:58:21] Yeah.

[00:58:22] Jim, I hope you're doing well with the kids.

[00:58:25] That was wild because sort of like an Soda aspect,

[00:58:29] I feel like we saw so many random fits and starts to Tim.

[00:58:32] The first time he talked in like three episodes

[00:58:33] was him asking when he's going to poop.

[00:58:35] And so I wasn't sure how to feel about him that,

[00:58:38] yeah, we had this moment when he stops

[00:58:40] to wipe his tears on his shirt.

[00:58:42] It was a dimly emotional moment

[00:58:45] that I think then brought back around like,

[00:58:46] okay, this is why everyone was like

[00:58:48] pretty much in their feels at Tribal Council,

[00:58:50] even if we got a little bit of the rug pole with Ben.

[00:58:53] Well, you have rug poles.

[00:58:55] I will talk about my prediction for Miss Soda Thompson.

[00:59:00] I had Soda making the finale.

[00:59:02] Had, I mean, I have some high prospects,

[00:59:06] but like this all goes to Brandt Steele.

[00:59:08] So it's all about AI on my side here.

[00:59:12] Soda hits the beach running and singing on day one.

[00:59:16] She immediately clicks up with Tevin

[00:59:18] and the two bring Hunter in to control

[00:59:20] a dwindling Nami in the pre-merge.

[00:59:22] Much like Carla, Soda will end up in the hub of her tribe

[00:59:25] as we're treated to a sequence of everyone saying

[00:59:28] how much they love soda.

[00:59:29] Parentheses though that might just be them

[00:59:31] discussing what drinks they're missing.

[00:59:33] When the merge hits, Soda will use her newfound size

[00:59:36] of her tribes to lead some classroom slash camp activities

[00:59:39] like Big Booty.

[00:59:41] She'll be the one Jeff consistently goes to for Matt Chats

[00:59:45] as she's always quick with a quote or some trash talk.

[00:59:48] After running an ironclad post-merge together,

[00:59:50] Soda and Tevin begin their inevitable decline

[00:59:53] to a Jesse slash Cody end game

[00:59:55] in a battle between the Nami allies.

[00:59:57] Tevin will be the one to win out convincing the others

[01:00:00] that Soda's likable personality, lack of enemies

[01:00:02] and strength in fire making makes her the bigger threat.

[01:00:05] So I have her going out in fifth place

[01:00:06] as sort of like that final regular vote boot.

[01:00:10] And perhaps my boldest prediction ever,

[01:00:13] she will get a hefty chunk of Sia money.

[01:00:16] Ooh.

[01:00:17] That remains to be seen.

[01:00:18] I do think that between like the personality

[01:00:20] and she also has this story of like coming

[01:00:22] from this dysfunction home and like I,

[01:00:24] so I've lived survivor my whole life.

[01:00:26] Inmate since on paper, I don't think it's gonna happen.

[01:00:30] It's because we didn't get it in the show.

[01:00:32] Yeah, that's the thing.

[01:00:33] Yeah, she was.

[01:00:34] Who was it?

[01:00:35] Well, it's because you know,

[01:00:36] it was the bonding show for like six episodes

[01:00:39] which is not how many episodes it was

[01:00:40] but still it felt like it.

[01:00:42] So the closest ally and worst enemy for Soda

[01:00:45] was indeed Tevin.

[01:00:46] Yeah.

[01:00:48] Okay, so I had Soda making the jury.

[01:00:53] I said Soda has such a bubbly personality

[01:00:56] which allows her to create type bonds with Tevin and Liz.

[01:00:59] Soda also mixes up an intense one-sided rivalry

[01:01:03] with Randon unbeknownst to Randon.

[01:01:07] At the first tribal council,

[01:01:08] she pops off and single-handedly

[01:01:10] orchestrates the Randon boot.

[01:01:12] God did that but.

[01:01:13] I'm gonna put it in the face.

[01:01:16] The trio of Liz Soda-Tevin power through the game

[01:01:20] until late jury when even her closest allies

[01:01:22] realized Soda is so dope

[01:01:25] and can easily win over the jury.

[01:01:27] Sadly, Soda's journey fizzles out

[01:01:30] before the finale at the hands of her own alliance.

[01:01:33] So I also said her allies were Tevin and Liz.

[01:01:37] Her enemies were Tevin and Liz for parentheses Randon.

[01:01:41] Slash God.

[01:01:45] Do you think that they cut it out of the episode

[01:01:48] when Jeff visits Yanu and shows them

[01:01:52] that Randon was leaving?

[01:01:55] Did they cut it when Bonny said,

[01:01:56] thank you God for getting rid of him for smiting?

[01:02:01] That would have been great.

[01:02:02] Mama, thank you for smiting.

[01:02:04] Kudos for you getting rid of Randon for smiting.

[01:02:07] Yeah.

[01:02:09] Jesus.

[01:02:11] This is, you guys are really killing.

[01:02:14] Well, Breanna and Liana-

[01:02:15] I know, Liana came up with the same season.

[01:02:17] I know.

[01:02:17] I was like-

[01:02:18] Well, no, me and Brent Steele

[01:02:19] came up with the same season.

[01:02:21] That's true.

[01:02:22] I just stopped taking credit.

[01:02:23] I don't want to be Venus here.

[01:02:25] I think I'd have to give the edge this time

[01:02:27] to Liana though because I think her own alliance

[01:02:31] being her undoing the way that that was like

[01:02:34] really brought out being a little earlier

[01:02:36] than maybe the end of the game.

[01:02:37] I have to give the edge to Liana there,

[01:02:39] but I also need to give Liana the edge

[01:02:41] for the incredible soda puns.

[01:02:43] So that is, you know, hands down.

[01:02:47] You're really good at saying Dilvo jokes.

[01:02:51] Yes.

[01:02:54] Okay, well, I was gonna say speaking of Dilvos,

[01:02:57] but not that.

[01:02:58] Speaking of AI actually is where we're going here today

[01:03:03] for our game that we are going to play.

[01:03:06] So in honor of episode several,

[01:03:10] we are playing a game based on episode titles

[01:03:14] called Outwit, Outplay, Outtitle.

[01:03:18] What the hell are these logos?

[01:03:20] So the way this game is going to work

[01:03:23] is I'm going to read for you three episode titles.

[01:03:27] Three of which are real episode titles.

[01:03:31] Two of which are real episode titles.

[01:03:34] This is generated by AI.

[01:03:37] Also generated AI survivor logo.

[01:03:41] So if you're watching the YouTube version,

[01:03:42] you can see all of the beautiful creations

[01:03:44] that AI came up with spelling survivor

[01:03:47] essentially incorrectly on every single one.

[01:03:50] Yeah.

[01:03:51] I see in the top right corner,

[01:03:52] there's server with two Vs.

[01:03:55] There's survivor bottom row.

[01:03:58] We have, I think the one to the north.

[01:04:00] Sir Vivior.

[01:04:01] To the one in the northeast of it

[01:04:02] is my favorite Sir Iwer.

[01:04:04] I think it's just a W, the two Vs next to each other.

[01:04:07] Yeah.

[01:04:08] Sir Iwer.

[01:04:09] I want to go out Sir Iwer.

[01:04:11] Oh my God.

[01:04:12] This one's the closest,

[01:04:13] but the U is like merged with the R.

[01:04:16] Right. It looks like some sort of Eastern European serif

[01:04:19] of like, oh, we actually pronounced this click.

[01:04:22] It's part of the Cyrillic alphabet for sure.

[01:04:24] I also love the symbology as well.

[01:04:27] Like a lot of the grapese.

[01:04:28] I like the one that's just two squares next to each other.

[01:04:32] Is there even one that spelled it correctly?

[01:04:36] That should be the game.

[01:04:37] You don't count the merged letters.

[01:04:38] Oh, yes, I guess that one, yeah.

[01:04:39] They like to, it likes to do the double V.

[01:04:42] There's a lot of like, so S-U-R-V-V.

[01:04:46] Like it has a hard time like parsing out the I's.

[01:04:48] So I can't do fingers and it can't do V-I-V.

[01:04:52] Yes.

[01:04:53] So it will be important for this game

[01:04:55] if you tell us how each word was spelled

[01:04:58] in these supposed titles.

[01:05:00] I'm just saying that would be very helpful for me.

[01:05:02] Yes. Well, thankfully for you, Beth,

[01:05:05] they are going to be written on screen.

[01:05:07] So we, you're gonna be able to see the actual quote

[01:05:11] written out for all three of the quotes

[01:05:13] and then the answers will be revealed by survivor logos.

[01:05:17] So I have the logo from the real season

[01:05:20] with an AI logo for the fake answer.

[01:05:22] I think my other favorite thing

[01:05:23] about the square Venn diagram design,

[01:05:26] which is my favorite is the fact

[01:05:27] that it's survivor subtitle survivor.

[01:05:30] There's a lot of that.

[01:05:32] Like this guy, yeah, there's a lot of survivor survivor.

[01:05:36] There's a couple that happened a few times.

[01:05:38] This one also survivor survivor.

[01:05:40] That's the idea.

[01:05:41] What is like the Roman text written on the lower right one?

[01:05:46] Dr. Savorio is like.

[01:05:49] Savorio.

[01:05:50] Savorio.

[01:05:51] Sounds like a Harry Potter smell.

[01:05:54] Some of God, you know, it's my random.

[01:05:57] The Nilvo survivor.

[01:05:59] No, it's survivor or not survivor or.

[01:06:03] I was like, okay.

[01:06:05] That's a good one.

[01:06:07] So just to be clear, we're talking about

[01:06:10] past season seventh episode,

[01:06:13] not just like generally in television.

[01:06:15] No, but they are, they're titles.

[01:06:17] They could be from any episode.

[01:06:18] Okay.

[01:06:19] They're not just the seventh episode,

[01:06:21] even though episodes several,

[01:06:22] obviously the inspo here.

[01:06:24] I mean, and I also have to think like of the,

[01:06:27] what 700 plus episodes from title perspective,

[01:06:30] like is it tough to say it might make the top several

[01:06:32] at least like what an incredible meta reference?

[01:06:37] Honestly, although maybe when we go through some of these,

[01:06:40] you'll have some new contenders

[01:06:41] for the top several episode titles,

[01:06:44] but let's see what you got.

[01:06:47] All right, Mike, you're going to kick things off for us.

[01:06:49] You are going to go first.

[01:06:51] Question number one, your three quotes are,

[01:06:55] salmon scrambling for safety.

[01:06:58] Don't cry over spilled octopus or for God's sake.

[01:07:04] Leona Boris, do you realize what you've done?

[01:07:09] Oh no.

[01:07:09] You walk straight into the Liad's den.

[01:07:13] Let me not only describe what episode is not it,

[01:07:16] but I'll describe the episodes of the other two

[01:07:19] and who went home in them.

[01:07:21] Don't over cry over spilled octopus is an episode

[01:07:24] from the pre-merge of Survivor Cook Island

[01:07:26] where Stephanie Fever with two ends spills the octopus,

[01:07:29] I believe, and I don't believe she goes home in that episode,

[01:07:33] but it's like a target because of it.

[01:07:35] For God's sake, as I think the episode

[01:07:37] where Bob Dog goes home because there's a reward challenge

[01:07:39] where they have to toss fish to each other

[01:07:41] like they're at Pike Place Market in Seattle

[01:07:43] and Bob Dog has the big machete and cuts the fish off.

[01:07:47] So all that is to say salmon scrambling

[01:07:49] for safety as beautiful as it is

[01:07:51] and as the liberation is written by the AI.

[01:07:53] Oh boy, okay, first of all, Beth I'm sorry.

[01:07:57] Yeah, I only knew one of these and I was like, ugh.

[01:08:01] Yeah, so not only did Mike get the correct answer,

[01:08:05] you also correctly guessed the seasons and the episodes.

[01:08:10] Correctly, so.

[01:08:13] I'm like, did that spell Survivor two different ways?

[01:08:17] Well, that's the theme though is server.

[01:08:19] Server, server, server, server.

[01:08:21] There's a kind of almost Burning Man-esque

[01:08:26] like structure that you offer your vote up to named server.

[01:08:29] Server, I love that.

[01:08:32] Yes, okay, well, that's one point to Mike.

[01:08:37] I wanna know that most of these,

[01:08:40] I've never known what the titles were

[01:08:41] until Paramount Plus came along,

[01:08:44] so I'm stoked to see what these titles are.

[01:08:47] I was like, there's no way anybody's gonna get any of these.

[01:08:50] Except for Mike Bloom.

[01:08:51] And lo and behold, we are no Mike Bloom

[01:08:53] immediately knows of course.

[01:08:54] I am no person, I'm no normal person, we know him.

[01:08:57] We'll all right.

[01:08:59] I'm glad you watched too much Survivor.

[01:09:01] All right, Beth, let's see what you got.

[01:09:03] Can you tell me exactly what episode

[01:09:05] and what season things are from?

[01:09:06] All right, your quotes are,

[01:09:08] I'm in such a hot pickle,

[01:09:11] more cracked than a coconut,

[01:09:13] or kind of like cream cheese.

[01:09:16] Oh.

[01:09:17] Okay, so I'm gonna go with my line of thinking here

[01:09:20] for each one.

[01:09:21] I feel like the first and the third ones

[01:09:24] are things that people would randomly say in an episode

[01:09:28] that would be so weird that you would make it

[01:09:31] and the middle one seems like it should be

[01:09:34] a survivor thing, but it's not.

[01:09:36] So I'm gonna say the middle one is the odd man out.

[01:09:39] Oh, that's interesting, yeah,

[01:09:40] because it's almost like if it was instead,

[01:09:41] name all the fake episodes, then you would be a little bit

[01:09:44] like, oh, it must be both,

[01:09:45] but because you know that two have to be right.

[01:09:47] That makes sense.

[01:09:48] That's what I'm trying to do.

[01:09:50] Well, that is the correct logic.

[01:09:52] Yes.

[01:09:53] Ah!

[01:09:54] The more cracked than a coconut was the big one,

[01:09:56] the first one.

[01:09:57] Oh wait, there are two subtitles in that one.

[01:10:00] Survever.

[01:10:02] Survever.

[01:10:04] Surve-a-ve-or.

[01:10:05] And then it's like a weird eyelash thing at the top.

[01:10:08] Was there an eyeball theme happening?

[01:10:10] People are like, the aesthetics are going too far.

[01:10:13] I don't know about an eyeball-themed tribal council.

[01:10:16] This was clearly the drag themed one

[01:10:19] and that's like a 501 that they're putting on right there.

[01:10:22] I was gonna say it's like Playton Jane's outfit

[01:10:24] that she wore in this previous episode.

[01:10:25] Oh gosh.

[01:10:27] Yes, so I'm in such a hot pickle

[01:10:30] that's from Micronesia episode nine

[01:10:32] and kind of like her jeans.

[01:10:34] Poverty, I think she talks about that, right?

[01:10:36] Which she's like between the fans and the lovers alliance.

[01:10:40] And kind of like cream cheese

[01:10:42] from San Juan Del Ser episode 11.

[01:10:46] Yes, I don't think Alex said this

[01:10:47] but I believe it's his boot episode for whatever reason.

[01:10:50] Got you.

[01:10:51] Yeah, I just felt like it was a phrase

[01:10:54] that somebody would say that no normal person would say

[01:10:56] so therefore it would go on versus like, I don't know.

[01:11:00] I felt like, okay, more cracked than a coconut

[01:11:01] seems like a red herring here.

[01:11:04] I will say though my goal now

[01:11:06] if I were ever to be on Survivor

[01:11:07] is I'm taking all of these quotes

[01:11:08] and I'm going to use them in episodes

[01:11:10] until they are real episode titles.

[01:11:12] I'm such a cracked cream cheese coconut.

[01:11:14] Like is that your idol phrase?

[01:11:17] Exactly, oh my gosh, more more cracked than a coconut.

[01:11:21] See it works.

[01:11:22] I wanna start, I'm gonna be the person

[01:11:24] if I'm ever on Survivor

[01:11:26] which means they've gone through the billions

[01:11:28] of other people in the world and they said, okay

[01:11:30] but we need Beth Dixon on here.

[01:11:32] If I'm ever on Survivor,

[01:11:33] I want it known that I'm only looking for gift moments

[01:11:38] and for opportunities to just like confuse the crap

[01:11:41] out of not just the contestants but also production.

[01:11:44] So I would be the one standing there

[01:11:45] trying to say a phrase when there's no twists like that

[01:11:48] and having all of them be like,

[01:11:49] and Jeff be like, what is she doing?

[01:11:51] I can wait for Reddit threads complaining

[01:11:54] of like stop casting people

[01:11:55] that are only there to make gifts.

[01:11:57] And it's, Beth Dixon was the worst casting

[01:12:00] we've ever seen in our lives.

[01:12:01] And it's like, yeah that was the point.

[01:12:03] I don't wanna win a million dollars.

[01:12:04] I wanna make a million gifts.

[01:12:06] Yes. Exactly.

[01:12:07] I'm a truly out.

[01:12:10] I want the attention.

[01:12:12] Okay, well you're both doing so much better

[01:12:14] than I expected.

[01:12:15] Let's see if you can get out.

[01:12:16] These are great though, Lyanna.

[01:12:16] These are really good.

[01:12:17] I love this.

[01:12:18] Okay, well let's see Mike, let's go back to you.

[01:12:21] Your three quotes are,

[01:12:23] I don't want to be the worm,

[01:12:25] the sea slugger and I played like a lion, not a lamb.

[01:12:30] So I don't wanna be the worm is the fifth episode

[01:12:32] of last season, Survivor 45.

[01:12:34] Cause I believe that quote was when

[01:12:35] was from Kendra eating the worm

[01:12:37] and says like, I wanna be the one eating.

[01:12:38] I don't wanna be the worm.

[01:12:40] The sea slug slugger was one of the rare

[01:12:42] gross food eating challenges

[01:12:44] that happened in a modern episode of Survivor

[01:12:46] that was in, I believe episode eight

[01:12:48] of Survivor Ghost Island.

[01:12:50] It was the Libby Vinshack boot

[01:12:52] because that was the quote given to Angela Perkins

[01:12:55] for just deep throating like a really gross smoothie

[01:12:59] and winning immunity.

[01:13:00] I played like a lion, not a lamb.

[01:13:02] Feels like a quote from Erica

[01:13:04] but it did not make an episode title.

[01:13:07] Okay, you need Jesus because like all of them correct

[01:13:12] and exactly the episodes like absolutely terrifying.

[01:13:15] I'm such a loser.

[01:13:16] You are such a loser.

[01:13:18] Mike, you were like the rain man

[01:13:20] of Survivor titles in episodes.

[01:13:24] I can't count cards but I can count episodes.

[01:13:26] Oh my God.

[01:13:28] You got the exact episode numbers.

[01:13:30] Episode five, episode eight.

[01:13:32] You are still, oh my gosh.

[01:13:34] Yeah, this is an, we're done.

[01:13:36] We're done with the game.

[01:13:36] This is an intervention.

[01:13:38] You know what?

[01:13:39] I don't even wanna play.

[01:13:39] I just wanna see if Mike can get every single one correct.

[01:13:42] Actually, I wanna play obviously

[01:13:43] but when it comes to my turn before,

[01:13:46] as a reveal, I want Mike to say like if, you know.

[01:13:49] Okay, yeah, we'll do that.

[01:13:50] Yeah.

[01:13:51] But I need to draw attention as well too.

[01:13:54] I guess it's that Sandra statue 2.0 in the fake title?

[01:13:59] It's like if they need Parvati as fast you.

[01:14:02] That's what it feels like for me.

[01:14:03] No, it'd be a headband instead of more of a buff across.

[01:14:06] And she would be more like...

[01:14:09] She's over like a real, yeah doing the person.

[01:14:11] She needs a headband and then she's over like

[01:14:14] real trees which is the only one

[01:14:17] that's sort of like not cartoonish

[01:14:19] in terms of the background.

[01:14:20] So yeah, I look, I don't know.

[01:14:21] I also love that like, are we just gonna

[01:14:23] kind of lazy?

[01:14:24] Can we include some like photo realistic jungles

[01:14:26] in the background of our logo?

[01:14:27] I love.

[01:14:28] Surveyorer.

[01:14:30] Surveyorer.

[01:14:32] Beth, we're going to you for question four.

[01:14:34] Sugar spice and everything lies.

[01:14:36] Are we kidding after the...

[01:14:37] I'm gonna go with the coffee.

[01:14:38] Okay, you're close.

[01:14:42] Stupid people, stupid, stupid people.

[01:14:45] Big balls, big mouth, big trouble

[01:14:49] or sugar spice and everything lies.

[01:14:54] I really feel like these are all titles

[01:14:56] of RuPaul's Turak race episode.

[01:14:57] Is that right?

[01:15:00] Big balls, big mouth, big trouble.

[01:15:01] Big trouble.

[01:15:02] Incredible.

[01:15:06] This one is a little tougher.

[01:15:08] I felt like I could kind of put my finger

[01:15:09] on the pulse of like the first round I had.

[01:15:12] This one, I think we're gonna have to go for...

[01:15:18] I think big balls, big mouth, big troubles

[01:15:21] the odd one out.

[01:15:23] But that's not true because Jeff says the word balls

[01:15:27] all the time.

[01:15:28] This past challenge, I sat there and I was,

[01:15:30] I had like a balls ticker and I was like,

[01:15:32] or not this past challenge.

[01:15:34] I think that's...

[01:15:36] That's so bad.

[01:15:37] Can that be on the back of my Dilvo shirt?

[01:15:39] Just as balls ticker?

[01:15:41] Balls ticker?

[01:15:41] Balls ticker.

[01:15:42] Not to be confused with balls tickler.

[01:15:44] Anyway, so we...

[01:15:46] Or ball snicker.

[01:15:47] Ball snicker.

[01:15:48] Ball snicker.

[01:15:49] Actually, I'm gonna change my answer.

[01:15:51] I think it's the stupid people one.

[01:15:54] I think big balls, big mouth, big trouble

[01:15:56] is something that would be a title.

[01:15:59] And I think sugar, spice and everything lies

[01:16:01] is a title as well.

[01:16:02] All right, man, man, what you got?

[01:16:04] So unfortunately, Bet, stupid people

[01:16:06] I believe is a quote by Sheehan from Survivor All Stars.

[01:16:09] I think it's the Alicia boot episode

[01:16:12] I wanna say when she does win immunity.

[01:16:15] Big balls, big mouth, big trouble

[01:16:16] is the double boot in Survivor Guatemala

[01:16:18] because they had this challenge with the giant balls

[01:16:21] that they had to push up against

[01:16:22] and that's where Bobby, John and Jamie

[01:16:23] got their own big balls in their big mouths.

[01:16:25] Sugar, spice and everything lies

[01:16:27] is something that AI came up with.

[01:16:30] That is correct.

[01:16:31] All Stars and Guatemala.

[01:16:34] This is I think maybe my favorite

[01:16:36] of all of the AI generated look.

[01:16:38] This is like the haunting of Hill House

[01:16:40] but on the top is a ship

[01:16:42] and beneath it is like the lower two thirds of a skull.

[01:16:47] The head goes into the wood.

[01:16:49] This is like if Survivor and Stranger things had it

[01:16:53] like if there was like an underworld

[01:16:55] like instead of like a redemption island

[01:16:57] you go to the underworld area.

[01:16:59] Well, I love the twist as well.

[01:17:01] Honestly, Survivor needs to go more international

[01:17:03] so I'm glad they cast like half Icelandic people

[01:17:06] considering it's the same for the season is.

[01:17:07] Sheer Rearer.

[01:17:11] It takes place in the hot springs of Iceland.

[01:17:16] Yeah, Surge War.

[01:17:18] That's probably my favorite spelling overall of Survivor.

[01:17:21] Okay, so Mike, we're gonna go back to you

[01:17:24] for question number five,

[01:17:25] tangled in a web of lies,

[01:17:28] zipping over the cuckoo's nest

[01:17:30] or you mangled my nets?

[01:17:33] So I know that zipping over the cuckoo's nest

[01:17:36] is an episode from Survivor David versus Goliath.

[01:17:38] I believe Christian says it.

[01:17:40] It might be the John Hennigan boot episode

[01:17:43] but even if I'm remembering correctly

[01:17:45] the minority vote split, you mangled my nets.

[01:17:48] I may not remember the season on this.

[01:17:51] Oh, actually, you know what?

[01:17:52] I know what it is.

[01:17:53] That is disgusting that you don't know.

[01:17:55] I know. Yeah, that's actually rude.

[01:17:57] But I do, it's Survivor Redemption Island

[01:17:58] because it's a quote that Philip Shepard makes.

[01:18:01] One of the rare peaks of like

[01:18:03] non-controversial drama in that post merge

[01:18:06] was like Philip getting ticked off

[01:18:07] that the other Omotepe's had tangled up his nets.

[01:18:10] So ironically enough, tangled in a web of lies

[01:18:12] is the one to be untangled as the fake.

[01:18:14] All right, so you are correct.

[01:18:16] The tangled in a web of lies is the AI generated one

[01:18:19] but zipping over the cuckoo's nest

[01:18:21] is actually from Survivor Karamawan episode 10.

[01:18:25] So if you remember what happened in episode 10.

[01:18:27] Oh, I think that's the three amigos tribal council

[01:18:29] if I remember correctly.

[01:18:30] Okay, yeah, so that was the title of this one.

[01:18:33] And then as you said, Redemption Island

[01:18:35] for you mangled my nets.

[01:18:37] I literally thought of Philip Shepard

[01:18:41] for the humangled my nets.

[01:18:42] I have no, like that in my mind,

[01:18:44] I was like, that seems familiar.

[01:18:46] Like it seems like when Philip was upset about him.

[01:18:49] Yeah, I don't know if you did this, Lyanna,

[01:18:50] but I think you went from Philip's boot episode

[01:18:52] to his quote.

[01:18:55] Yeah, that was on purpose.

[01:18:56] Oh.

[01:18:57] Oh.

[01:18:58] I love this one of titles and I was like,

[01:19:01] ah, that's funny.

[01:19:04] That was gorgeous.

[01:19:06] Oh, that's funny.

[01:19:07] Okay, Beth, let's go back to you.

[01:19:10] Question number six, when the rats fight back

[01:19:15] if it smells like a rat, give it cheese

[01:19:18] or love is in the air, rats are everywhere.

[01:19:22] I think the last two are more poetic

[01:19:27] and therefore are enough to make,

[01:19:29] like this all seems like some kind of weird sci-fi rat

[01:19:33] like fandom world where like these are very-

[01:19:36] I don't know what that is.

[01:19:38] Are the rats the fandom or are people fans of the rats?

[01:19:41] People are fandoms or are the fandom for like,

[01:19:44] it's like a sci-fi, like I don't know,

[01:19:47] like a Star Trek or something like that,

[01:19:51] but it's all about like rats or something.

[01:19:53] I don't know.

[01:19:54] I don't know what I'm talking about.

[01:19:56] Yeah, I just, okay, so you're saying

[01:19:59] that there's some property, a sci-fi property

[01:20:01] where rats don't have to be in the air.

[01:20:04] A sci-fi property where rats build

[01:20:07] some sort of futuristic society.

[01:20:09] And you're saying that there's a fandom of people

[01:20:11] who follow a sci-fi rat show.

[01:20:13] Yes, like it's like a trilogy or something, right?

[01:20:17] And like when the rats fight back

[01:20:20] is very like when the empire strikes back kind of thing,

[01:20:22] or like if it smells like a rat,

[01:20:26] give it cheese is the first one.

[01:20:27] And you're like, oh wow,

[01:20:28] like we're gonna learn about these rats and everything.

[01:20:32] And then like love is in the air,

[01:20:34] rats are everywhere.

[01:20:35] Like that is like the full circle of like the love story

[01:20:38] coming together even despite the odds of like this,

[01:20:42] horrible government that's trying to tear

[01:20:45] the rat people apart.

[01:20:46] I don't know.

[01:20:47] Oh, rat people.

[01:20:48] I don't know if they're rat people.

[01:20:49] Are they like, yeah, are they like rat-sized rats

[01:20:51] or are they like humanoid rats?

[01:20:53] I will let this, you know,

[01:20:55] whoever the audience wants it to be at home,

[01:20:58] like that is the power of this.

[01:21:00] Are they rats of an unusual size?

[01:21:02] Ooh, come on, rat.

[01:21:04] Or are we talking like a splinter thing

[01:21:06] where it's like a mutated rat turned into like

[01:21:09] a walking, talking, ambling rat man?

[01:21:11] Oh yeah, but like also giving wisdom.

[01:21:16] So the rats are kind of the Jedi's also in this situation.

[01:21:19] Loving.

[01:21:20] Is pizza rat in it?

[01:21:21] Can pizza rat in it?

[01:21:22] It's rats with 1,000% in it.

[01:21:23] Are you kidding?

[01:21:24] They're like the star of if it smells

[01:21:26] like a rat, give it cheese.

[01:21:27] But on top of bread that also has sauce on it.

[01:21:30] Come on.

[01:21:30] That's the parentheses.

[01:21:31] That's in parentheses, that's a subtitle.

[01:21:34] So all of this to say, I think I'm gonna go with

[01:21:36] when the rats fight back is the fake one.

[01:21:39] All right, Mike, is she correct?

[01:21:40] She is.

[01:21:41] So if it smells like a rat, give it cheese.

[01:21:43] I believe is the name of the infamous

[01:21:44] Eric Gives Up the Necklace episode

[01:21:46] in Survivor Micronesia.

[01:21:48] And then Love Is in the Air,

[01:21:49] Rats Are Everywhere took place in the same location,

[01:21:52] but it's Survivor Palau.

[01:21:53] I think it's the second episode

[01:21:55] because the reference is to Greg and Jen

[01:21:57] like cuddling and flirting with each other.

[01:21:59] And also that there's like an abundance

[01:22:00] of rats around the camp.

[01:22:02] This is insane.

[01:22:03] I just want it known,

[01:22:03] this is the best I've ever done on any quiz

[01:22:06] in the B&B and I am just shooting from the hip here.

[01:22:11] So that's great.

[01:22:12] Yeah, you're just going with your gut.

[01:22:13] You're correct, yes.

[01:22:14] Going with my gut and my butt.

[01:22:15] That's the most important thing.

[01:22:16] Yes, you're correct.

[01:22:18] Survivor, Survivor, Survivor.

[01:22:20] All right.

[01:22:22] They're just adding it every single time.

[01:22:24] Yeah, wait, why is it above the sun?

[01:22:25] I don't know.

[01:22:27] I don't know.

[01:22:28] It's kind of cool though.

[01:22:29] It's like a banner, Michael.

[01:22:31] Oh my God.

[01:22:32] Look at banner, Michael.

[01:22:33] Like it just looks like it's like

[01:22:34] a party banner strung from the two trees.

[01:22:37] Family love survivor.

[01:22:38] Ha ha ha ha ha.

[01:22:41] Mike, we're going back to you.

[01:22:42] Here are your episode titles.

[01:22:45] Survivor, Smacked Me in the Chops.

[01:22:48] I trade my socks for a slice of pizza

[01:22:50] or Nacho Mama.

[01:22:53] God, I love that second phrase.

[01:22:56] Good on the AI for writing it.

[01:22:57] Survivor, Smacked Me in the Chops

[01:22:58] is I believe the title of the premiere

[01:23:00] of Survivor Philippines in reference

[01:23:02] to when Russell Swan came back and talked

[01:23:04] about when a very delicate way of describing

[01:23:06] the fact that he almost died.

[01:23:08] Nacho Mama is the name of the second episode

[01:23:10] of Survivor Marquesis because Patricia was nicknamed Mama

[01:23:14] and they weren't coming up with quotes

[01:23:15] for episode titles yet from the players.

[01:23:17] So they just kind of churned out Nacho Mama.

[01:23:21] They used their own at AI to come up with that way back

[01:23:24] in the day, which was their brains.

[01:23:27] That is correct.

[01:23:28] Yes, I trade my socks for a slice of pizza.

[01:23:31] It was an AI.

[01:23:32] From the hit season,

[01:23:34] Surivior, Survivor, service?

[01:23:39] And then also, tips, sour.

[01:23:42] Yeah, tip, this out.

[01:23:45] It kind of looks like orifice at the bottom there.

[01:23:48] Yeah, that's great.

[01:23:49] Oh, it does, yeah.

[01:23:52] Beth, you are technically mathematically eliminated.

[01:23:54] Of course.

[01:23:55] But you're doing a great job here.

[01:23:56] So let's honestly, the fact that I'm against the other like,

[01:24:00] white boom is AI in this and I swear.

[01:24:03] Like you are doing a great job.

[01:24:06] But he's a psycho.

[01:24:07] Like he can be clear.

[01:24:09] Like he is not normal human behavior.

[01:24:12] OK, it should not be celebrated to be honest.

[01:24:14] Like, oh my goodness.

[01:24:16] Like my brother in Christ, you need to get a life.

[01:24:18] You have a child.

[01:24:20] Touch him and hang out with your own child.

[01:24:22] OK, touch grass.

[01:24:23] Come on.

[01:24:26] Oh my God.

[01:24:27] I want Surivior touch grass season.

[01:24:30] I want that to come up.

[01:24:32] Oh, my God.

[01:24:35] OK.

[01:24:37] I feel like I'm Charlie and you're cute being like, wrong.

[01:24:42] You're doing it wrong.

[01:24:43] You're winning, but you're doing it wrong.

[01:24:45] You lose.

[01:24:50] Yeah, Ellen, the shape of his forehead.

[01:24:52] Tell me about it.

[01:24:53] OK, question number eight, Beth, here are your episode quotes.

[01:24:57] OK, panicked, desperate, thirsty as hell.

[01:25:00] You ate the last mango.

[01:25:02] They just they said, bitch,

[01:25:04] this bitch is panicked, desperate, thirsty as hell.

[01:25:08] How did they know?

[01:25:10] Am I the title?

[01:25:12] OK, you ate my last mango or time to bring about the charm

[01:25:17] apocalypse. OK, I feel like I recognize the mango.

[01:25:23] Like, I think there was like a mango drama in in like the 30s or something

[01:25:29] like that, like or something like 1930 and the 1930s.

[01:25:33] There was a shortage of mangos and back then talk about prohibition.

[01:25:37] We had a high like mango ambition.

[01:25:40] About the mango.

[01:25:42] Um.

[01:25:48] Actually, I think we're on the sleeves of the T-shirt.

[01:25:50] Yeah, mango ambition.

[01:25:52] Mango ambition. Oh my God.

[01:25:56] I feel.

[01:25:58] I'm trying to figure out did I come up with panicked, desperate,

[01:26:03] thirsty as hell or did it come up with charm apocalypse?

[01:26:07] Because I could see a character

[01:26:11] like like a poverty or something be like it's time to like

[01:26:15] bring about the charm apocalypse.

[01:26:17] Like I need to charm everybody kind of thing.

[01:26:18] Right? I could I could see something like that.

[01:26:21] I don't know if survivor would go with thirsty as hell, though.

[01:26:25] And that's so I guess I'm going to go.

[01:26:30] I guess I will go with panic desperate, thirsty as hell.

[01:26:33] I have no. All right, Mike, do you want to tell her

[01:26:35] that the mango ambition actually never happened?

[01:26:37] Yeah, there was no mango gate.

[01:26:40] So panic desperate, thirsty as hell.

[01:26:42] Yes, it was a little more of a riskate title,

[01:26:44] but maybe it's because it's a little bit more of a risk

[01:26:46] of a season. I believe this is survivor all stars.

[01:26:49] And perhaps a reference to the fact that since they didn't start with Flynn,

[01:26:52] they had trouble finding their own water source for a while.

[01:26:54] And trying to bring about the charm apocalypse,

[01:26:56] I believe it's from David versus Goliath.

[01:26:59] I don't think it's a Christian quote.

[01:27:01] Maybe it is, but either way, it's from a modern season.

[01:27:05] What was the season?

[01:27:06] Wasn't there something where people were like eating the last of whatever

[01:27:09] fruit there was? Well, there's banana etiquette.

[01:27:12] There's also there was papaya gate.

[01:27:14] Papaya, that's what it was.

[01:27:16] Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

[01:27:17] Richard went on a reward and then came back and ate the mango, the papaya.

[01:27:21] That that's exactly what I was thinking of.

[01:27:23] And I just was like, oh, that's got to be that episode then.

[01:27:26] Then move on. Yeah, the wrong fruit.

[01:27:28] Oh, I love you.

[01:27:29] I mean, listen, we had the bird theme season already in 45.

[01:27:32] I said, bring it back to get.

[01:27:33] Is that in the middle though?

[01:27:34] Yeah, I think it's supposed to be a bird or at least it's got wings.

[01:27:38] I don't know what this middle thing is.

[01:27:39] See maybe I thought up at the top,

[01:27:42] this was eyes and then the bridge of a nose with like a snout at the end.

[01:27:46] Oh, this is a fun little.

[01:27:48] I feel like this is an ink block test.

[01:27:50] Yeah, Warshak test.

[01:27:51] Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

[01:27:54] Oh, I don't know.

[01:27:55] I see my therapy appointment this week and go, what does it mean

[01:27:57] when I come at this meet?

[01:27:59] Well, I see a bird in this.

[01:28:00] What does that mean?

[01:28:02] We also get a little half letter here, which I love.

[01:28:04] So all right, hide it out in like Hunter and the tree.

[01:28:08] Yeah.

[01:28:10] I want to say congratulations, but I feel like I shouldn't say

[01:28:14] congratulations to my blue.

[01:28:17] You just feeding my bad habits if you're if you're giving me praise.

[01:28:20] Yeah, so what?

[01:28:21] What is that?

[01:28:22] My dad.

[01:28:26] We're going to say ill, Mike.

[01:28:27] No, no, no.

[01:28:29] I'll take the W nonetheless.

[01:28:31] It's a little lowercase W that's kind of scrolled out in poop,

[01:28:34] but it's a W nonetheless.

[01:28:36] Not poop.

[01:28:38] That was weirdly impressed, like terrifyingly, which by the way,

[01:28:41] chopped them up like poop.

[01:28:42] I don't think was an episode title, but it is a memorable quote

[01:28:45] that could have been written by AI.

[01:28:47] My gosh, there were some that I could recognize

[01:28:50] like immediately.

[01:28:51] So I tried to shy away from those.

[01:28:52] I didn't realize that literally every quote would be

[01:28:54] recognizable to one my flu.

[01:28:56] So.

[01:28:58] Oh, God, I'm impressed, but I feel really, really gross.

[01:29:03] Mm hmm.

[01:29:04] Like it was just it was something that it was impressive.

[01:29:07] It was like a train wreck.

[01:29:08] Like I wanted to watch it, but I also like I don't think I'm

[01:29:12] a better person for having watched and listened to it.

[01:29:15] Listen, no matter what the exercise, like I'm happy

[01:29:17] that Leona got to deep dive into these survivor episode titles

[01:29:20] because yeah, yeah, they're so much fun.

[01:29:22] And especially when they're pulling quotes from the players

[01:29:25] and they're not just written out by production.

[01:29:27] Not Joe.

[01:29:28] The most random shit on this show.

[01:29:30] Oh, yes.

[01:29:31] I think that was the biggest revelation because we talk

[01:29:33] so much about my God, episodes several like what a clever title.

[01:29:36] That's so funny.

[01:29:37] But then looking through previous episodes, I was like,

[01:29:39] there are bangers in here.

[01:29:40] Like survivors been churning out great episode titles from

[01:29:43] the get go.

[01:29:44] And the fact that like, I mean, I think Marquesas was maybe

[01:29:47] the earliest season that I had pulled from.

[01:29:49] But even from there, like you still get some some hot titles.

[01:29:52] So that was turning into the past.

[01:29:55] Yeah, honestly, I'm a little surprised.

[01:29:56] They did a little bit of like quoting of the players

[01:29:59] and episodes in like a couple of times, but it didn't start

[01:30:02] until Cook Islands actually with the infamous I want to forgive her.

[01:30:06] But I can't because she screwed with my chickens.

[01:30:08] The like longest episode title ever that they're like,

[01:30:11] hey, you know what?

[01:30:12] Let's just start pulling things from players.

[01:30:14] And we kind of have never stopped since, which is why

[01:30:15] episodes several so interesting because that's the first time

[01:30:18] in like over 17, 18 years that they haven't done this.

[01:30:24] I really think we need a deep dive of survivor titles

[01:30:27] like in the history of it by one Mike Bloom.

[01:30:30] Yeah. And like, there you go.

[01:30:32] That could be like a part of instead of the evolution strategy

[01:30:35] off season. There you go.

[01:30:36] Instead of that, it could be like the evolution of titles.

[01:30:39] So titles.

[01:30:40] Listen, at the off seasons long enough

[01:30:42] and I have a microphone in front of my face, chances are I might do it.

[01:30:46] But I will turn the microphone back on to you.

[01:30:48] One Beth Dixon is, of course, at the end of every BNB podcast,

[01:30:51] we give the spotlight to our guest to highlight a charity

[01:30:55] or cause that is important to them.

[01:30:57] So, Beth, what do you have this week?

[01:31:00] You know what?

[01:31:00] I forgot to think about this ahead of time, but I think just generally

[01:31:04] one of the things that I was reminded of this week

[01:31:06] and it's a part of the work that I do.

[01:31:09] If you are somebody who have gone to a college or university

[01:31:15] and you feel so compelled, I do

[01:31:18] agree with giving back to your college, to your university

[01:31:22] because of the many people who paved the way for you as well.

[01:31:25] And what I like the most about when you give back your investing

[01:31:29] in the students who are there now, who have different challenges

[01:31:32] probably than what you had or very similar ones.

[01:31:35] And so I just want to say in general, when you are giving back

[01:31:38] to different institutions that you've gone to, you're not only helping

[01:31:41] to increase the value of your degree, but you're also helping

[01:31:46] to make future leaders of the world who are going to make a difference out there.

[01:31:49] So as somebody who's a champion for education in general,

[01:31:52] obviously give to those different charities and organizations

[01:31:56] who are supporting various different kinds of education opportunities,

[01:32:01] whether they be for different marginalized identities,

[01:32:04] whether they're for making sure that kids are eating

[01:32:07] like different backpack programs, those kind of things.

[01:32:11] Anything to help support education in general.

[01:32:13] But something that normally gets lost in that

[01:32:15] because there's a lot of different discourse about it,

[01:32:17] which I totally understand.

[01:32:18] I am a supporter of somebody saying, you know what?

[01:32:21] I can give $10, $15, whatever,

[01:32:23] because the more people who give back to your respective schools,

[01:32:27] the more likely they are to get external funding

[01:32:29] from different corporations or foundations and such.

[01:32:33] So you don't have to be the one that's making millions of dollars.

[01:32:36] But just by giving 10, maybe you're going to help the school secure

[01:32:38] something to really make a transformational gift.

[01:32:41] Very well said.

[01:32:42] And Beth, thank you so much for everything you brought to the B&B.

[01:32:46] This week, we always love absolutely having you on each and every season.

[01:32:51] I'll keep the microphone on you.

[01:32:52] What would you like to plug for all the listeners out there?

[01:32:56] Oh, well, of course, I have to plug that this next week

[01:32:59] is going to be the finale of Drag Race Season 16.

[01:33:02] So if you would like to listen to Leana, myself and Amon talk about

[01:33:07] obviously the finale, but also Season 16 in general, please be sure to do so.

[01:33:11] We're very excited about it.

[01:33:12] We also recorded this week's episode today as well.

[01:33:15] So you should be getting that on your feed

[01:33:18] probably around the same time, which is great.

[01:33:20] And you can follow me everywhere at Augusta 11 and you can follow me

[01:33:24] on my weekly meltdown if you want really just like messy, unhinged coverage

[01:33:28] that doesn't really cover survivor, but just hints out of every once in a while.

[01:33:32] How much percentage of your coverage is survivor, you think?

[01:33:36] I would say this past episode, it was just Tyler and me was actually a lot

[01:33:40] more, but when it's the three of us, it's just chaos.

[01:33:43] And I would say probably a good 15 percent.

[01:33:46] All right, so then as a framing device and then we just talk about aquedumps

[01:33:50] most of the time. So well, let's have some more fun with this.

[01:33:53] Put yourself in your my weekly meltdown trio into each one of the Yanous.

[01:33:58] Oh, OK, we literally were trying to figure out who's Tyler.

[01:34:01] This isn't Yanu, but Tyler is Charlie like this.

[01:34:05] That is absolutely who Tyler is.

[01:34:09] I think I think we were discussing that I am somewhere of a mixture

[01:34:12] between Tiffany and Kenzie and that.

[01:34:15] But I don't know, I think Allison is very Tiffany coded at times.

[01:34:20] So like we've got a lot there as well.

[01:34:22] So if we had to do it, then I would say I'm probably Kenzie.

[01:34:26] Tyler's Q, I guess.

[01:34:29] And that was Tiffany.

[01:34:32] But it's a we're our own weird trio.

[01:34:35] I think we're probably more like the Tika three than the Yanous.

[01:34:40] Not Yanu. Yeah, yeah, I say them incorrectly.

[01:34:43] I said, Yami half the time today and I met not Nami.

[01:34:46] I don't know.

[01:34:47] And just wild that for the second like, you know, season that featured

[01:34:51] a purple tribe, we have three of them make the merge.

[01:34:53] They're all in this tight alliance.

[01:34:55] They're all these weird, wacky, do characters that like work together

[01:34:59] and get also kind of to test each other at the same time.

[01:35:01] Oh, for sure. It's crazy.

[01:35:03] Like in that, like the Tika three, I was clearly a jam jam.

[01:35:06] Carson is Tyler and Carolyn is definitely Allison.

[01:35:10] They're like the same person.

[01:35:13] So it was, yeah, very, very that one's a little easier.

[01:35:16] This one I'm like, I don't know. We're all blend, I guess.

[01:35:19] All right. She's blend.

[01:35:20] Yeah. Liana, blend up what you're doing this week besides drag race.

[01:35:24] What have you got going on?

[01:35:25] Yeah. So other than drag race, Puy and I, we have households

[01:35:29] still recovering from illnesses, but did manage to record for both

[01:35:33] the finale of group C and then the latest episode, we got to see group

[01:35:37] A slash B again, whatever they're calling it.

[01:35:40] So, yeah. So we did a double header essentially for that episode.

[01:35:43] So all we're up to date now for the massing or coverage.

[01:35:45] So check that out. Neither the rehab of the beat of the.

[01:35:48] You can check out everything I'm doing as well over at parade.

[01:35:51] As I mentioned, talk with both Tim and Soda, both really great

[01:35:55] interviews in and of themselves.

[01:35:57] Tim brought a lot of light as to how he felt about his game,

[01:36:00] namely that he felt very alone out there, much like his bodily functions.

[01:36:05] He cannot find a number two.

[01:36:07] And maybe that informs some of the ways that he proceeded forward in this game.

[01:36:11] And Soda, as I mentioned before, I think she gave a lot of perspective

[01:36:14] as to how she felt things with Venus.

[01:36:15] I do think shades a little bit as to the interactions we saw them

[01:36:18] have over the course of the season. Very much recommend that.

[01:36:21] I also spoke with the team most recently eliminated from the amazing race.

[01:36:24] And we had Sasha Joseph on for a very fun episode of that.

[01:36:28] And then one other thing that I will plug is that the circle

[01:36:32] is coming back after what's felt like ages for its sixth season on Wednesday,

[01:36:38] this Wednesday with its first four episodes.

[01:36:40] And there will be yet another motley trio of podcasters coming together to talk about it.

[01:36:46] So we're going to be doing circle coverage with myself,

[01:36:50] Terran Armstrong and the aforementioned Puyah.

[01:36:54] We'll be putting out weekly podcast talking about that recent batch of episodes

[01:36:59] that just dropped should be a really fun season.

[01:37:02] Leanna put to the forefront the power that AI has,

[01:37:05] but we will see it much more in stark contrast this season

[01:37:08] because there is an AI contested.

[01:37:10] So it's going to be I think a really interesting season to talk about

[01:37:14] that honestly might have the most like societal impact out of any reality

[01:37:17] show that we've seen in some time.

[01:37:18] Sure.

[01:37:21] I haven't watched the episodes yet, but like I when I heard that,

[01:37:25] I was like, I'm sorry. What? Like what?

[01:37:29] I'm so curious to see how it goes.

[01:37:31] I can't wait to watch.

[01:37:32] It's going to be crazy.

[01:37:34] I in the best of ways, because I just am sitting back and saying,

[01:37:37] well, can it spell survivor correctly in something like this?

[01:37:41] You know, is it going to be obvious or are they going to sit back and go?

[01:37:43] Oh, the circle bot can't spell when they're going, hey, circle,

[01:37:47] send a message that says blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

[01:37:49] Yeah. It'll be great.

[01:37:52] Unfortunately, a little behind the peak of the curtain.

[01:37:54] They're basically like telling some intern inside the walls what to say.

[01:37:58] And they type it out.

[01:37:59] So I think there is still that middleman to kind of like autocorrect

[01:38:03] if that happens, but also if the middleman misspells it, then like

[01:38:07] could be human error quite the opposite.

[01:38:09] Yeah, we don't know.

[01:38:10] It could be somebody who like I type mistakes all the time.

[01:38:14] I say mistakes all the time.

[01:38:15] We've heard it 70,000 times in this podcast.

[01:38:18] So shout it to Yami.

[01:38:19] Yami, my favorite tribe.

[01:38:21] Well, we have quite the yummy podcast next week as we are going to be

[01:38:26] devouring another week of Survivor 46.

[01:38:29] It's been a very fun streak as of late.

[01:38:30] So I'm hoping that continues if we have hide and seek.

[01:38:34] It's going to be tough to say that it won't apparently also really big tribal

[01:38:37] council and to break it down, we'll have somebody on who had his own fair

[01:38:41] share of big tribal councils, including ones that he instigated.

[01:38:44] Jesse Lopez is going to be making his BNB debut.

[01:38:47] He is very excited about this.

[01:38:48] He said this is like one of the final items he has to check off

[01:38:51] of his survivor bucket list.

[01:38:52] So we shall see what that might provide, what will be in that bucket next week.

[01:38:57] If you have game ideas, send them our way, RHA, P, BNB at gmail.com

[01:39:02] or hashtag RHA, P, BNB on social media and we will be open to any and all ideas.

[01:39:08] I got to go get a life now.

[01:39:10] Leanna, thank you so much for the game and great work as usual.

[01:39:14] Beth, thank you as always as well.

[01:39:16] Special thanks to the entire RHA team behind the scenes

[01:39:19] for editing this podcast to get to your eyes and ears in pristine condition.

[01:39:22] And we'll from America for his fantastic theme song.

[01:39:25] We'll be back next week with Jesse Lopez to break down episode eight

[01:39:28] of Survivor 46 until next time, everybody.

[01:39:31] We'll check you out at your next day.

[01:39:49] I'm Leanna, you're the play in some games.

[01:39:52] I'm right to your mama, that they're not super lame.
