[00:02:34] Hey what's going on? Rob Cicernino here with the guy that everybody can't stop talking about.
[00:02:40] He's the inventor of the Q skirt.
[00:02:43] May have reinvented the way they play Survivor but last night made big mistake.
[00:02:52] Q!
[00:02:56] Rob, let's talk about this moment.
[00:02:58] Let's talk about it.
[00:03:00] Last night, okay, first and foremost my idol situation is totally different from all the others.
[00:03:08] That's why because I'm one vote away.
[00:03:12] They're like two, three, four votes away trying to hold IOs.
[00:03:15] But for me I went into the tribal sand.
[00:03:18] I would rather go home with the IO in my pocket at six than play it and then have to come back and do all this fighting all over again.
[00:03:26] When I had for one moment felt like I found peace.
[00:03:31] I'm not fighting for my life anymore.
[00:03:34] I got a little peace.
[00:03:35] But I thought if I can wait until five and play it, I guarantee myself final three.
[00:03:43] Because I know a lot of people say when you actually guarantee yourself final four.
[00:03:49] Yeah, there was nobody there that could beat me in fire.
[00:03:54] Nobody other than Hunter.
[00:03:56] He was on the jury already and maybe Sola maybe and she was on the jury already.
[00:04:01] Everybody else stood no chance at all.
[00:04:03] So I was gambling.
[00:04:04] I was betting on myself to say, you know what?
[00:04:07] If I can make it through this vote, I guarantee myself to final three at least.
[00:04:10] But then also I'm thinking in the game Charlie.
[00:04:15] Charlie's won two amenities.
[00:04:17] He hasn't pissed anybody off like Q.
[00:04:19] He's been in the know of every single vote, likeable kid.
[00:04:23] I'm thinking everybody will wise up and say that's the person to be.
[00:04:28] Not the guy who's been chaotic and crazy that everybody hates, that they think.
[00:04:33] So I was betting with information that I had then.
[00:04:38] But also Maria would come and tell me every single vote, every single tribal.
[00:04:43] So it was never a vote that I did not know what was going on.
[00:04:47] And her relationship with the folks that did not want to have a relationship with me, she did not see that they had flipped on her.
[00:04:55] And you know, I don't fault her at all.
[00:04:57] She came with information that she thought was true, like she done all the other times beforehand.
[00:05:03] I took that information and I made a decision not to play my life.
[00:05:06] You had such an interesting relationship with Maria.
[00:05:09] It seemed like that you two really clicked.
[00:05:12] What was it about Maria that made you have such a strong relationship?
[00:05:16] Yeah, it was just being able to be authentic, being able to be human also.
[00:05:22] You know, even when knowing going with Q puts Target on your back, she still came and checked on me.
[00:05:32] She still came and talked to me.
[00:05:34] She still brought me to eat pizza where I can eat 23 slices.
[00:05:39] 23 slices.
[00:05:40] She still did all this the same way that I would have done.
[00:05:43] I brought her on Applebee's.
[00:05:45] I looked out for her.
[00:05:46] When Tiff brought her name up, I was ready to vote out at that point my number one.
[00:05:51] Somebody because I felt like, OK, this person is going to be authentic and real with me.
[00:05:56] Can you tell me what was the reaction like when you got back to the Ponderosa?
[00:06:01] Were there any people who were not excited to see you?
[00:06:04] I don't think so.
[00:06:06] If so, I don't remember.
[00:06:07] But, you know, Rob, you got to remember this right here about you walk into a situation.
[00:06:13] People are going to treat you the way that you're treating yourself.
[00:06:17] So if you're treating yourself all down and mad and mopey, they have to tend to drop down to that level.
[00:06:24] But if you're excited and over the top and smiling and happy, they have to be the same.
[00:06:29] So when I got out to vote, man, they were singing and laughing and happy to see me and wanting to talk.
[00:06:35] So a lot of people don't know this.
[00:06:38] A lot of people thought everybody on the jury hated me.
[00:06:40] But when Tiffany got voted out, she hugged me, stood up, hugged me and said, go win the Stamp Bank.
[00:06:49] Left. No one ever even saw that because it didn't show.
[00:06:54] So I knew Tiff was not that upset with me at that point in time.
[00:06:58] Everybody else as far as Tevin and Soda, they had no reason to be upset with me.
[00:07:03] And then only person left was Venus.
[00:07:05] OK, so it was one of those things where, man, I knew going in, I was going to be OK.
[00:07:09] But then also I knew I had a shot to win in the game.
[00:07:13] And that's why I was playing to get the three and not just to get the five.
[00:07:18] Q, this morning, a lot of your castmates had things to say about you going out of the game.
[00:07:25] Do you have any reaction to your castmates commenting on you going home?
[00:07:30] Now, see, here's why, Rob.
[00:07:34] Some of my castmates right now are trying to use the Q effect for their effect.
[00:07:40] And I'm just going to I just ignore it.
[00:07:42] I don't want to participate in any bickering back and forth because at some point there's levels to this.
[00:07:48] You know what I mean?
[00:07:49] And I'm not going to scoop down.
[00:07:52] I'm not going to come off my high horse to make anybody else feel good and give them any validation or any credit.
[00:07:58] I don't see them. They're little baby apps.
[00:08:00] I'm just stepping around.
[00:08:01] But see, the problem is that was the same way in the game.
[00:08:04] They're so fascinated about Q that they lose sight of the big picture.
[00:08:10] You know, most of them are so happy that Q got out of the game, but they forgot they're at home and they lost as well.
[00:08:17] Maybe they need to reevaluate the way they play.
[00:08:20] So if they get another shot, it don't happen again.
[00:08:22] But instead, they're so happy that now Q is gone.
[00:08:27] OK, which, you know, I don't know how people are.
[00:08:30] I don't know how people are.
[00:08:31] But it's OK.
[00:08:32] Yeah. Well, I'm not one of them.
[00:08:35] I thought that you were so much fun to watch and such an interesting player.
[00:08:39] So many things that I could talk to you for several hours today.
[00:08:45] But let me ask you at the point, maybe the most controversial thing that happened was the moment that you said you were ready to go home at the Hunter vote.
[00:08:54] And we talked about it and debated it.
[00:08:56] And, you know, I made assumptions.
[00:08:59] But were you genuine?
[00:09:02] You would have just gone home that night.
[00:09:04] You wanted people to take you out of the game.
[00:09:06] Yeah. So there was never a point in the game where I wanted to quit.
[00:09:10] There was never a point in the game that I did not want to be there.
[00:09:13] Let me just make that clear.
[00:09:14] What happened in the game was something happened at camp.
[00:09:19] And I explained to you what happened that I felt responsible for.
[00:09:23] And in my everyday life, if I feel responsible for something, I raise my hand and I say, you know what?
[00:09:30] I'm responsible for it.
[00:09:31] I'll take the heat.
[00:09:32] Just like in football.
[00:09:34] When I when I fumbled in my high school, we get we have to run sprints for every single point we lose by when I fumble.
[00:09:41] We lost by six points.
[00:09:42] OK, the next day, everybody on the team has to run six gashes up and down.
[00:09:48] I volunteered to run for every single person.
[00:09:52] Why? Because I fumbled in the game.
[00:09:55] What happened was Liz was so over the top happy about the Tevin vote.
[00:10:02] Two things happen. Liz was over the top happy about the Tevin vote.
[00:10:06] I screwed up when I went and told Hunter about it.
[00:10:10] Hunter went to Liz.
[00:10:12] Now Liz, this person that I've seen so happy.
[00:10:15] This is before the Applebee's, of course.
[00:10:17] She's now crying.
[00:10:18] And now she's like, I'll just do whatever y'all want to do.
[00:10:22] I have four little sisters that bother me.
[00:10:25] I was like, whoa, wait a minute.
[00:10:28] Like you were just so happy.
[00:10:30] Now you're crying and just being submissive.
[00:10:33] Like that bothers me a whole lot.
[00:10:35] And I felt responsible for that.
[00:10:37] I should never told Hunter.
[00:10:39] Then I was also thinking like, man, Tevin is in my lines.
[00:10:45] I'm supposed to be protecting him.
[00:10:47] I have done nothing to prepare him and warn him at least of what's about to happen.
[00:10:53] I felt bad for it because I was like, man, I brought him in.
[00:10:58] I'm supposed to be at least advocating to do something to protect him.
[00:11:04] I hadn't done that yet.
[00:11:05] I did it but I didn't do it indirectly.
[00:11:08] I was trying to switch the votes.
[00:11:09] I was trying to get it on Venus and then I was trying to get it on Tiff at that point
[00:11:13] because she was targeting Murillo within the six and it wasn't happening.
[00:11:18] But at some point at that tribal, everybody was like, okay, let's just do Tiff.
[00:11:23] But then it was like, well, shoot, I don't want to do Tiff today right now
[00:11:28] with all this stuff going on.
[00:11:29] So the long story short, it was one of those things where, man, I just felt like I screwed up.
[00:11:35] I didn't do right about Tevin.
[00:11:37] And 17 of those people was there for the million dollars.
[00:11:41] I was there for the soul survivor title.
[00:11:44] The million dollars wouldn't change my life, but for Tevin, it would change his life.
[00:11:51] And I start to weigh all of that on my walk over to tribe and I was like, man,
[00:11:55] I have to do something to try to make this right and then make it right volunteering myself.
[00:12:00] Okay. Go back to earlier in the game.
[00:12:03] Rand in gets pulled from the game.
[00:12:05] You told us that that was big because Bono was not going home.
[00:12:10] Kenzie was going home at that vote. Is that accurate?
[00:12:15] I think it's accurate from a standpoint of where we were in the game conversations that was held.
[00:12:20] I know everybody in there is fooling and they looking back on it or what they would have should have done.
[00:12:26] I vividly remember that moment.
[00:12:28] And that's why I was so upset that Kenzie were getting two votes.
[00:12:33] And it was talked about, you know, hey, we're going to work with Bono.
[00:12:37] We're going to be willing to train them.
[00:12:39] And we just had to get rid of the smallest person.
[00:12:42] I thought Kenzie was going home now.
[00:12:45] Tiff can say now after the game is over that maybe she wouldn't have done that.
[00:12:51] But in that moment in the game, I thought that was the case.
[00:12:56] She had told me that was the case.
[00:12:58] She was going to do it.
[00:12:59] And unless she was lying to me, which she had no reason, but you got to think now after the game, Tiff gets to watch me blow up her idol.
[00:13:07] Now she sees that I'm the reason of her game and go.
[00:13:10] So, of course, she's not going to come over here and just say, yes, this will happen.
[00:13:14] But in my mind, that's what was happening.
[00:13:17] OK. Sticking at Yanu way back when you and Jalinsky did Sweat vs. Savvy.
[00:13:23] Jalinsky says it was your idea to give up from the challenge.
[00:13:27] Is that accurate?
[00:13:29] Rob, that is so far from the truth.
[00:13:31] And I'm so glad.
[00:13:33] And we're going to make sure we get this one out.
[00:13:36] So what happened is in that sweat challenge, as we both started right, we're both gone.
[00:13:42] But Jalinsky stopped at least five different times.
[00:13:46] Jalinsky went to camp for about 10 minutes to try to find his shoes.
[00:13:51] I never stopped.
[00:13:53] I'm going back and forth, back and forth.
[00:13:55] Then he comes back.
[00:13:57] He takes a break.
[00:13:58] The scene where you all see Jalinsky sitting on the ground and he's like, at least I have an ally.
[00:14:04] We have Superman.
[00:14:05] It was because I told Jalinsky, OK, you can't go at my pace.
[00:14:09] I get it.
[00:14:11] But every single time I go and come back, you have to be ready to go at least one time.
[00:14:18] He would stop every single time.
[00:14:21] Then he left and went back to camp again to get his water bottle.
[00:14:27] Left me out there by myself for another five to 10 minutes.
[00:14:31] So when he did that, he kept stopping.
[00:14:34] I just said, I told him, I said, when he comes back, I'm going to ask him if he thinks that we can finish it.
[00:14:41] And if he don't think we can finish it, why am I constantly busting my tail when he just keeps stopping?
[00:14:48] He keeps left.
[00:14:49] So he came back from getting his water.
[00:14:51] I asked him, I said, man, go look at it.
[00:14:53] If you feel it in your heart that we can't continue, then there's no need for us to continue to do it because I'm not doing it by myself.
[00:15:01] And I felt like I was doing it by myself.
[00:15:04] And at that point in time, I made a decision.
[00:15:06] I was like, OK, if he don't think we can finish it, there's no way we're going to finish it.
[00:15:11] So let's just go ahead and be done.
[00:15:13] But I didn't tell him that.
[00:15:14] I just said, if you don't think we can finish it, then you tell me and we'll make a call.
[00:15:18] He went over there.
[00:15:19] He looked at it and he said, no, I don't think we can finish it.
[00:15:22] If he were to say, yeah, Q, I think we can finish it, bro.
[00:15:25] Let's go.
[00:15:26] I would have never stopped.
[00:15:28] When somebody else already in their mind thinking, oh, no, it's not going to happen.
[00:15:33] Then he's OK with constantly taking breaks.
[00:15:36] He's OK with constantly leaving to go to camp to get a water bottle, some shoes and all this crap.
[00:15:42] That's that's what really happened.
[00:15:44] Q, tell me what's something about your game that we didn't see at home that was important to your story?
[00:15:51] Yeah. So there was a lot of moments like I know I'm not sure if you saw the secret scene or the deleted scene.
[00:15:57] Yes, I did.
[00:15:58] When I went to Liz and apologized and wanted to talk it out, there was a lot of moments like that.
[00:16:04] You know, man Kenzie had one of those moments on the boat.
[00:16:07] Me and being had one of those moments and me and Tiffany had a more in depth moment at the Applebee's to where we talked and we you know,
[00:16:19] I was able to man up and confess and just say some of the things that I did wrong.
[00:16:24] And so more of that that you did not see, you saw the cut though, the chaotic, the crazy Q.
[00:16:30] But you did not see the Q who was also the human who would go to folks and just say, you know, if I rubbed you the wrong way, I apologize.
[00:16:37] It's not my intention. How can I be better?
[00:16:39] Make me aware of the things you know.
[00:16:41] So those are some of the things.
[00:16:43] But also just, you know, my heart man.
[00:16:46] A lot of folks think, oh, Q tried to quit.
[00:16:49] Never would have quit.
[00:16:51] Never. Listen, I am more than capable of getting up, walking out and leaving and not caring with what anybody thinks.
[00:17:00] If I wanted to quit, I would have left.
[00:17:02] It wasn't that I wanted to quit.
[00:17:04] It was I felt like I was doing the right thing from an action that I made to just volunteer and say, you know what?
[00:17:11] I'm going to go home and take the heat.
[00:17:13] Now, if they vote me and I go home, I'm fine with that because I bought into it.
[00:17:19] But they did.
[00:17:20] I'm still in the game.
[00:17:21] I'm still playing.
[00:17:22] And but now I can live for myself because I at least try to do the right thing.
[00:17:26] OK, Q, last thing from me.
[00:17:29] I know you are very successful in your business.
[00:17:32] You are a sensation on Cameo or Qmeo.
[00:17:38] But there may be an opportunity for you to return to Survivor in the next couple of years.
[00:17:46] You don't need the money, but you didn't win the title of sole survivor.
[00:17:50] Is it something that's interesting to you to return?

[00:18:31] So just imagine when I actually do and I take it seriously, what can really happen?

[00:18:38] But me going back to 50, I mean, it would be a no brainer for me to say yes, just from the standpoint of I just love it out there, man.
[00:18:50] That gives me the opportunity to play the game, but also have moments that I don't have in my true life.

[00:19:03] No one did anything in that game unless it came through me.

[00:20:40] So why am I going to kill myself to make this work with Jolinski?
[00:20:44] But fascinating guy.
[00:20:46] I don't know if he's the best survivor player or the worst survivor player.
[00:20:51] Jury is still out on this, but just so interesting.
