[00:04:53] would be going through my mind like was I bit by something.

[00:04:58] But this is, I've always said like I started out

[00:05:01] sleeping on Bamboo.

[00:05:03] And when I went to edge of extinction, there was none.

[00:05:05] So I slept on the sand and it was like a light bulb moment.

[00:05:08] Like it's so much better to sleep in the dirt or the sand

[00:05:12] than on the Bamboo.

[00:05:13] So that should be our takeaway.

[00:05:15] But just a real bummer.

[00:05:16] I think they have to play it safe.

[00:06:15] of that okay if somebody suffers an injury

[00:06:18] and it's bad enough that we have to take them out of the game

[00:06:21] that we are in major trouble

[00:06:25] if then if we put them back into the game.

[00:06:29] I think that this is like a conversation.

[00:06:32] It's not even like, I could be wrong about this.

[00:06:35] I don't think it's a Jeff call or producer call.

[00:06:38] Like I think that this is like a corporate call.

[00:06:59] But if he doesn't even miss a tribal council,

[00:07:01] like is there a ton of like they weren't going

[00:07:03] to tribal council that night?

[00:07:05] If they didn't miss a tribal,

[00:07:06] I don't yeah, I agree with you.

[00:07:08] It doesn't really change that much to do anything it hurts you.

[00:07:13] But then if they take you to a hospital to get checked out,

[00:07:15] they're probably gonna want to give you food, right?

[00:07:18] They're probably gonna want to do something.

[00:07:20] Yeah, it might be like an integrity of the game

[00:07:22] in terms of like okay, if we have to give them an IV

[00:07:24] to do an MRI, but I mean, especially with it being so much shorter

[00:07:28] than Australian survivor in terms of the seasonling.

[00:07:35] like the survivor rules, but I feel like that if because as far

[00:07:39] as like a fairness perspective, like I don't care,

[00:07:42] like let Randan go get his MRI.

[00:07:44] And if he looks, if it looks okay,

[00:07:46] if he's feeling better, then let him back into the game.

[00:07:50] But I mean, I'm just going off of like,

[00:07:53] I feel like that there's got to be some kind of like corporate decision

[00:07:58] of, you know, hey, if we bring him back into the game

[00:08:02] and there is something wrong here, then, you know,

[00:08:05] we're gonna, this is a lawsuit.

[00:08:08] Yeah, I think the more I think about it,

[00:08:10] I think you're right, especially,

[00:08:11] you know, it's one thing if you're missing a tribal,

[00:08:13] which we've seen in Australian survivor.

[00:08:15] But if you're not, it's almost more fair to bring him back

[00:08:18] in the game than to take him out of the game

[00:08:20] because that affects people in the game in a negative way

[00:08:24] or an obviously himself.

[00:08:28] Now the question is,

[00:08:29] is the pred, did he make it far enough

[00:08:31] that he doesn't get the Bruce treatment?

[00:08:32] I mean, I think that we would assume

[00:08:35] that he's made it too far to get the Bruce treat.

[00:08:37] I guess we'll have to wait to find out

[00:08:39] if he gets the automatic Bruce return to the show.

[00:08:43] But yeah, I mean, he said he's like,

[00:08:47] for me now, it's all about coming back.

[00:08:50] That'd be a tough way to go out.

[00:08:52] Yeah, especially when you have an advantage.

[00:08:57] So I know a lot of people are probably also going to be

[00:09:00] talking about, should he, could he have given the advantage

[00:09:17] I feel like a tribal, you know,

[00:09:20] when the votes are read, you can't.

[00:09:25] or you find a way to do it secretly.

[00:09:37] Like you can't hand, like this is an Australian survivor.

[00:09:42] in another way it's not Australian survivor.

[00:09:44] You can't hand the idol to somebody

[00:09:46] after you've been voted out.

[00:09:50] the precedent here is that it's never been done,

[00:09:53] but I don't think anybody's ever wanted to do it.

[00:09:55] You've got Colton back in survivor one world,

[00:09:58] didn't like he left the game, medical evacuation maybe

[00:10:04] with an idol,

[00:10:06] but go back to Neil Gottlieb back in survivor Kaurang.

[00:10:10] He had the idol, didn't give it to Aubrey.

[00:10:13] So I don't think we've ever had the situation

[00:10:15] where somebody wanted to hand off an advantage

[00:10:20] or an idol to somebody as they're being removed from the game.

[00:10:24] I, it's a great question that we'll ask him tomorrow

[00:10:27] of that if he wanted to, would he have been able to?

[00:10:32] I would think selfishly, you know,

[00:10:35] I don't care about bringing home a memento.

[00:10:38] I would want to have an impact on the game

[00:10:39] and if Venus was my person,

[00:10:41] I would absolutely try to do that.

[00:11:32] and the beware advantage said, go dig on the ground.

[00:11:39] the box contains the idol.

[00:11:41] The key will be delivered after you lose the challenge.

[00:11:46] Could Venus, again, Brandon and Venus were talked

[00:11:51] did how far down the road did Brandon get?

[00:11:55] And if Venus went and found the box,

[00:11:59] will the key still be delivered to the box

[00:12:02] even though Brandon left with the beware advantage?

[00:12:07] Wow, that I think the key should follow the box.

[00:12:11] I bet they were designed to be attracted to one enough.

[00:12:14] The key should follow the key master and the gatekeeper.

[00:12:19] Yeah, I mean, that key's not going to follow Brandon

[00:12:22] out of the game and why have a box there not to be opened?

[00:12:26] I mean, let Pandora out and let's have some fun with it.

[00:12:30] I think if she finds that box, the key will find her.

[00:12:34] That would be my prediction.

[00:12:35] Do you think, I mean the show painted it as like,

[00:12:39] oh, well, the advantage is gone with my ally.

[00:12:42] It doesn't seem like that's in play.

[00:12:45] I, yeah, based on what they showed,

[00:12:48] I would guess that she doesn't know where the box is,

[00:12:50] that she didn't get that far along the line with her.

[00:12:53] But I would hate to see her dig up that box

[00:12:59] and just wait and wait.

[00:13:01] And now we wait.

[00:13:03] Yeah, it's like, I guess she would find out

[00:13:05] if she didn't lose her boat like you can still vote.

[00:13:07] But yeah, I hope someone finds the box.

[00:13:12] Yeah, okay.

[00:13:13] So we'll see if Venus looks like she's in a bad situation.

[00:13:17] But let's talk about this Yannu tribe and boy.

[00:13:24] Now Rick, you were on,

[00:13:26] can I call Lesu a disaster tribe?

[00:13:29] Is that offensive?

[00:13:31] Well, it was, but it was a disaster tribe

[00:13:34] even less an amount of time than Manu tribe.

[00:13:37] Of Manu tribe?

[00:13:38] Manu was the real disaster tribe.

[00:13:41] We started out with Manu and turned into Lesu

[00:13:44] as the same group, but both tribes were awful.

[00:13:47] Yeah.

[00:13:48] Can you talk a little bit about what it's like

[00:13:49] to be in this spot where you really just can't stop

[00:13:52] the bleeding?

[00:13:54] It's really disheartening.

[00:13:57] I mean, with everything going on out there,

[00:13:59] and you're getting rained on

[00:14:01] and you're dealing with the lack of hunger

[00:14:03] and you just get a spark from winning.

[00:14:06] It gives you energy.

[00:14:07] It's like, when you find an idol,

[00:14:11] when anything good, it gives you a spark.

[00:14:13] It's like that's why I'm here.

[00:14:14] And that's enough to power you through a couple days

[00:14:16] of just really awful living situations

[00:14:20] and sometimes tense living situations

[00:14:21] with the people you're out there with.

[00:14:23] And when you just have no positivity

[00:14:26] and you just keep losing

[00:14:28] and you start in our situation

[00:14:31] at least it was a larger tribe.

[00:14:33] So there was people that were outside

[00:14:36] of our core kind of alliance

[00:14:38] that we were voting out and it sucked to vote them out

[00:14:41] and we felt like losers voting them out.

[00:14:43] But at least it wasn't us

[00:14:45] and then you keep voting people out

[00:14:47] and you're like, wow, now it's us.

[00:14:49] And it's just so disheartening to go with everything else

[00:14:52] and you just feel like you're blowing this opportunity.

[00:14:55] It pays off later because you get all the air time

[00:14:57] and the other tribes don't even sniff TV to do it.

[00:14:59] Yeah, that's true.

[00:15:01] But when you're out there,

[00:15:02] you're not thinking about that.

[00:15:04] It's just like what is wrong with us?

[00:15:07] What's wrong with me that we can't get over this hump?

[00:15:10] Yeah, it really looked like that Yanu was going

[00:15:12] to get over the hump today.

[00:15:14] They were like Seigo was like leading the pack

[00:15:18] but they had like a big lead over Nami

[00:15:21] and then ultimately, I think that really the tell was

[00:15:25] when they showed us that Hunter has all of the survivor challenges

[00:15:29] like Carson, watch this.

[00:15:33] It's like yeah, I have built life size replicas

[00:15:37] of every survivor challenge at my house.

[00:15:41] Like I'm not 3D printing anything.

[00:15:45] No.

[00:15:47] My 3D printer is a wood shop.

[00:15:53] It's just hot take.

[00:15:55] Anyone who in their audition video shows you all the challenges

[00:15:57] they have, don't put them on the show.

[00:16:00] Don't do it.

[00:16:01] It's not, don't encourage that behavior.

[00:16:03] Get normal people on the show.

[00:16:06] And I like Hunter, he's great, but it's just like give me a break.

[00:16:21] I have been a good example of what people like with

[00:16:25] like a healthy, productive social life

[00:16:34] Yeah, I think when you take it to such a degree

[00:16:37] it's like you're becoming less of a 3D personality

[00:16:40] and more of a 2D personality.

[00:16:48] Put them on the dream team, make him a producer,

[00:17:20] and this was such a spotlight on Banyu in this episode.

[00:17:28] but I think he may have won a million hearts tonight.

[00:17:32] Well, let me ask you since you brought a wackadoodle.

[00:17:35] Do wackadoodles win?

[00:18:39] and got the one with a million jobs.

[00:18:48] That's my mother-in-law's name who is absolutely listening.

[00:18:54] So yeah, that was an interesting conversation

[00:18:57] just at the beginning of the episode

[00:18:58] when Q was talking with Bonu and you know,

[00:19:02] Q comes to him and says,

[00:19:04] Hey, I want to save you like...

[00:19:06] I don't want you to go anywhere

[00:19:08] and Bonu is like, oh, well what if he's playing me?

[00:19:13] There's three of them.

[00:19:15] The Q and Tiffany

[00:19:17] and Kenzie, they're masterminds

[00:19:20] and they're playing me

[00:19:21] and I can't trust anything that Q was saying.

[00:19:25] I think this is what's like

[00:19:27] the really interesting paradox with Bonu

[00:19:30] is that he is just this positive guy.

[00:19:36] He's just radiating positively, always positive

[00:19:39] and yet he's plagued with all this negativity,

[00:19:43] all these negative thoughts,

[00:19:45] all this self-doubt, all the time

[00:19:46] and it just tears him apart, obviously.

[00:19:49] Like it's making him an emotional wreck out there.

[00:19:53] So I think the fact that, you know,

[00:19:57] right before he had that conversation with Q

[00:19:59] he's talking with Kenzie and Kenzie gives him nothing

[00:20:02] and he recognizes that

[00:20:03] and he's like she gave me nothing.

[00:20:05] She's not someone I can work with.

[00:20:06] When he was talking with Q

[00:20:08] he couldn't trust Q because Q was telling him

[00:20:11] everything he wanted to hear.

[00:20:12] When he was talking to Kenzie

[00:20:13] he couldn't trust Kenzie

[00:20:14] because he wasn't giving him what he wants.

[00:20:16] So that just makes, you know,

[00:20:18] he can't work with anybody if that's his criteria.

[00:20:21] He's got to kind of choose someone

[00:20:23] who strategically works for him.

[00:20:24] He doesn't necessarily have to trust him.

[00:20:26] He just has to trust, you know,

[00:20:28] what his motivations are

[00:20:29] and he's not a game player like that.

[00:20:32] How do you think Bonu would be doing

[00:20:33] if he was on one of the other tribes?

[00:20:37] That was winning all the time.

[00:20:38] If he was on Siga or if he was on Nami

[00:20:41] I think he would be beloved.

[00:20:43] I think he would just be positive around camp

[00:20:46] because if you're on those other tribes

[00:20:47] you're bored.

[00:20:48] You're not going to tribal.

[00:20:49] You're not doing anything

[00:20:51] because you're just going back to camp

[00:20:52] and it's the same routine over and over.

[00:20:54] So to have a Bonu there who's full of life

[00:20:57] and full of these stories is a great thing to have

[00:21:01] if you're winning.

[00:21:02] I wonder, you know, through three episodes

[00:21:05] is Bonu the most emotional contestant

[00:21:09] that we've ever seen?

[00:21:10] I'm trying to think I cannot recall

[00:21:13] another person that is just like having,

[00:21:19] you know, emotional outburst

[00:21:22] after emotional outburst

[00:21:23] and not that there's anything wrong with that

[00:21:26] but the way that he even on the journey he broke down.

[00:21:31] No, yeah, because it isn't just tears.

[00:21:34] It's like, like you said, perfect

[00:21:37] an emotional outburst

[00:21:38] and that's jarring man.

[00:21:40] Like you're not getting a lot of sleep

[00:21:42] you're not getting a lot of food.

[00:21:43] That's a lot to deal with on a regular basis.

[00:21:46] If you're those two that just meet him on the journey,

[00:21:48] okay, no problem.

[00:21:49] Like this is a lot

[00:21:50] but we're going back to our camp

[00:21:52] with like this great story.

[00:21:53] If you're dealing with that day in and day out

[00:21:56] that's a lot to deal with.

[00:21:59] That's a lot to worry about setting off at any time.

[00:22:03] Yeah.

[00:22:04] And so Bonu ends up going on this journey

[00:44:58] on the seagull tribe that the episode

[00:45:00] opens and we get like a flashback

[00:45:03] this is seagull four days earlier

[00:45:07] it's like what the hell but we've never

[00:45:08] done this before like and I thought

[00:45:10] we were going to like have like a flashback

[00:45:11] for like one second and in the entire

[00:45:14] context of what we saw at seagull other than

[00:45:17] when Ben came back from the journey

[00:45:21] was this flashback and I feel like that

[00:45:23] this is very odd and weird like I

[00:45:28] feel like that survivor would just like

[00:45:30] show it to us and act like it was

[00:45:31] happening in this episode like on the

[00:45:33] one hand like I appreciate like okay

[00:45:36] we're really sticking to the narrative

[00:45:38] of like okay this is when this happened

[00:45:40] in the story but that was just I thought

[00:45:44] such an odd choice

[00:49:16] hunt and no one's gonna be at camp talking

[00:49:18] about how you're hunting like you might

[00:49:20] start off in a little group but then

[00:49:22] you're definitely just spreading out

[00:49:24] any as a frenzy like people running around

[00:49:27] these folks seem pretty organized

[00:49:29] and with each other but I know like David

[00:49:31] right and I were in our own little pod

[00:49:33] looking out for each other trying to find it

[00:49:35] and it just turns into madhouse so it's

[00:49:38] really I'm not surprised she was able to

[00:49:39] sneak it in there because there's so much

[00:49:41] going on but also like good for her

[00:49:43] even trying to sneak it in there I feel

[00:49:45] like most of the players this season

[00:49:47] would have just been like hey you don't

[00:49:49] look what I am also good for her for being

[00:49:51] able to get back to the location that

[00:49:53] she found the clue in the middle of the

[00:49:56] night in the dark that's pretty good

[00:49:59] dude for real those islands are no joke

[00:50:02] especially when it's cloudy or the

[00:50:05] moons not full I got lost out there I

[00:50:08] had to production had to come find me

[00:50:10] one time coming back from an interview

[00:50:12] after tribal council I could not find

[00:58:32] option um so i was just like wow i can't believe they had a tarp but i remember past seasons
