[00:03:34] All right. Chappelle, the Survivor world was shook this Saturday when CBS hosted yet another event going around the country spreading the good word about Survivor and Jeff Probst spoke at an FYC event.

[00:03:57] Apparently Survivor going for some Emmys.

[00:04:00] And here we go. Let's go out to Jeff Probst, who was in front of a large crowd and then posted this.

[00:04:10] Okay, well about 10 seconds ago, we just decided thanks to all the fans that were in attendance at the FYC event here in Hollywood that Survivor 50 will be returning players.

[00:09:35] And Gabby, I don't know if you got a little bit of this with survivor 40, but I'm excited for the new era that Owen, you all have never done this before.

[00:09:45] I can't wait to go through the anxiety of casting all over again.

[00:09:49] And it seems like you feel it happening.

[00:09:52] I'm getting weird.

[00:09:53] I'm getting a little bit of a sense that some people are freaking out.

[00:09:57] Yeah, just a minor, minor sense.

[00:09:59] I'm trying to play it cool, but it is.

[00:10:02] I mean, that was a wild thing to like see because like obviously we've all been thinking, oh, 50 is going to be returnies.

[00:10:07] You know, we've got another year to worry about it.

[00:10:09] But then to see that just pop up on Saturday night or whatever it was, that was pretty, pretty wild.

[00:10:16] But no, I mean, I actually deleted Twitter on my phone this morning.

[00:10:21] I've already found myself just being like, oh my God, this opinion, that opinion, they're being mean about my friend here.

[00:10:27] They're being mean about this person here.

[00:10:29] And it's just like, I don't know if I can handle a year of this, just all the speculation and the takes from everyone being like, Gabby sucks.

[00:10:37] We want to know what my God is.

[00:10:40] I know that's why.

[00:10:42] But it's just nobody said that by the way.

[00:10:47] No one would ever say that.

[00:10:48] That's why I said it.

[00:11:12] So like I've kind of like cooled from the thinking of like, I need to go back, I need to go back.

[00:11:18] And I feel like I'm kind of lucky in that regard because honestly, the news like did not really affect me emotionally at all.

[00:11:27] Because first of all, I've always assumed it's going to be out there some somewhere.

[00:11:31] And also I just have the mindset of like, it's not my control.

[00:11:34] Like it's really not my control, but I completely empathize.

[00:11:37] I'm not saying that to be like, I'm better than you guys, but like I can really empathize because the closer you are to having just played you still have those regrets that you are thinking of as much as people are like, you know, I think you do process it like six months out a year out like I think I was still processing it for like two years out and honestly like we're all still processing things in like a different scale.

[00:11:59] It's just that I am further removed for it where I don't have that immediate thing of like, you need to go back.

[00:12:05] But like I totally empathize with new era being like this, like it's happening.

[00:12:10] It's happening. I got my chance to go back. It's intense.

[00:12:13] Definitely. And I feel like I because we're about two years out from 43 finishing filming.

[00:12:19] So I feel like I'm on kind of the come down of the experience.

[00:12:23] So then to like have it like feel like it's starting over or maybe you're at the halfway point.

[00:12:28] You're halfway in between from when just think about how recently your season seemed like it ended

[00:12:33] and just imagine that's how soon survivor 50 is going to go.

[00:12:37] It's right around the corner.

[00:12:39] Oh boy. That it's honestly mind-melting.

[00:12:44] Like I know this is not compelling podcasting right now coming out of my mouth,

[00:12:47] but it is weird to like think about like it's, I don't know.

[00:12:51] It's weird and I'm sure I'm not the only new era person feeling that way because you don't obviously want to get your hopes up

[00:12:56] because you think about like there's all the people from what 35 to 39 that could potentially be again.

[00:13:03] And then we still have 46, 47, 48, 49.

[00:13:06] So no one has like besides, you know, there's certain people that obviously are like more likely than others,

[00:13:12] but everyone else it's just like who knows what they're going to do and you don't want to go down that rabbit hole too far.

[00:13:19] I like let survivor control my whole life for a couple of years after my first like experience with casting and I'm trying to tell myself to not let that happen again,

[00:13:28] but it's tempting and there's a lot of funny tweets out there, but that's why I took it off my phone this morning.

[00:14:04] So many of the most miserable hours of my life were spent fretting between 2008 and 2015 about whether I would get to return to survivor

[00:14:12] watching my girlfriend and best friends go off to heroes versus villains.

[00:14:16] I was generously allowed to blog frantically pre-gaming for an imagine brains versus brawn season with Bob and Johnny.

[00:14:27] I'm like, who's Johnny?

[00:14:29] I believe that's fair play and yeah, man.

[00:14:33] And what was he supposed to be on brains or brawn?

[00:14:36] Maybe talking about Don Cody.

[00:14:39] I'm dragging myself through casting for Karamo and I went all the way through getting vaccines.

[00:14:44] Now, Steven, you're protesting a little too loudly on Twitter about having to get vaccines.

[00:14:51] There's nothing wrong with getting a vaccine.

[00:14:53] Easy.

[00:14:54] Let's not make this political.

[00:14:57] We don't need that with all this drama going on.

[00:15:00] I'm so upset that they would cast both Cochrane and me making myself miserable on Twitter and texts as people alluded to callbacks and alliances of friends that lied to my face.

[00:15:12] Of course, the story ended happily for me as I did get to live the dream and have my gastrointestinal problems broadcast to 10 million and through all viewers in CBS primetime.

[00:15:22] And imagine how awful it must be now for people with the explosion of post 40 social media to watch the maelstrom and feel like you're on the sidelines or to imagine that you're in the center.

[00:15:33] And then a year later, watch it pass you by.

[00:15:35] If I could give one blessing to all the survivor players now daydreaming about survivor 50, it would be to forget it's even a possibility to put it behind you.

[00:15:44] Pre-gaming is questionable at best.

[00:15:47] Save what's left of your sanity except for Carolyn to her.

[00:15:50] My blessing is that she'll start 3D printing some puzzles.

[00:15:54] I think she knows a guy.

[00:15:56] Mr. Fishback, the poet, you know, this is why we keep him around for stuff like this, you know?

[00:16:05] And I think like it's such a rare perspective that we don't really hear of and he has such great perspective and self awareness.

[00:16:21] Pre-gaming is like, I don't really know when we've seen that work out well.

[00:16:25] But also maybe this is me like I easier said than done.

[00:16:29] I completely acknowledged that easier said than done.

[00:16:33] Look, and I think that there are some positive things to come out of it as a person who has been through these things a time or two before.

[00:16:43] If you think this is crazy, imagine what it was like when they said there was a returning player season and there was only 96 people.

[00:17:11] If the if the possibility of another survivor season gets you going to the gym when you otherwise would have hit the snooze button, like take, take the good.

[00:17:24] Like it kept you going to the gym for 18 months.

[00:17:28] I think I think being cast on survivor for the first time, it's like God, don't put your life on hold.

[00:17:34] But like, yeah, do interesting things with your life and maybe it'll work out.

[00:17:40] And it probably won't happen.

[00:17:43] But I do think that they probably are going to lean towards people that like keep their name out there and do like popular podcasts.

[00:17:54] So having having RHA P club condo like that on your resume probably looks very good because if you don't do stuff like this, then people forget about you.

[00:49:20] It was pretty jarring to see how openly Tiff was talking

[00:49:23] about her disdain for Q at the challenge when they,

[00:49:26] like, you know, how do you decide on these teams and people were kind of hemming and

[00:49:30] hawing about it. And eventually she's like, I just did, you know, I'm avoiding chaotic

[00:49:34] energy and there was no really veil to what she was talking. And I don't blame her. Like

[00:49:38] you think about like how much they've gone through as a losing tribe, like going through

[00:49:43] that first, what, nine, 10 day stretch with no fire, getting sick of each other,

[00:49:47] losing every challenge, screaming at each other. And now just it's all falling

[00:49:52] apart. And I find it fascinating to see personally, just because like, I felt like a

[00:49:57] pretty strong bond with my starting tribe getting into the merge and feeling like

[00:50:01] we had started losing a couple. And then we, you know, built this thing together.

[00:50:05] But to watch them now all turning on each other in like this circular pattern to where

[00:50:09] they're all pointing at each other, I think it's pretty spicy for lack of a better word.

[00:50:14] It's been fun. But yeah, they aren't hiding it very well, except I mean,

[00:50:18] Kenzie's potential move on Tiff, I thought had some merit. But then of course, Tiffany,

[00:50:23] all of a sudden it's just out of nowhere. Like I'll just play my idol and it was great.

[00:50:27] It led to this whole chaos in this episode. Yeah. A lot of chaos going on. And Jeff is

[00:50:34] asking about Leyanne three, I guess, I guess it's really over unless it's some kind of

[00:50:38] an elaborate ruse for everybody. And so Kenzie said no, that's, that's not the case.

[01:30:01] I was feeling a little less invested in it at the beginning of the season.
