[00:06:07] I saw this tweet that you had.

[00:06:09] Okay. If I can share it,

[00:06:11] you had a big reaction to the episode. Okay.

[00:06:14] Here is Bruce's reaction to this week's Survivor.

[00:06:18] And Bruce is looking at the camera disapprovingly,

[00:06:22] shaking his head.

[00:06:23] He's, he's had it with these people.

[00:06:29] I don't think it's so much that I had these people.

[00:06:31] It's like, I'm just confused.

[00:06:33] Yeah.

[00:06:34] What was the body language saying to you about Bruce?

[00:06:38] Like, I don't know.

[00:06:40] Show me again.

[00:06:42] Cause it looked familiar.

[00:06:43] No, no, let me look at this.

[00:06:48] You know, Rob, there was,

[00:06:49] there was one time I was rooting for a player survivor and all

[00:06:52] they had to do was play their idol.

[00:06:54] That's all they had to do.

[00:06:55] And it's like this person was a threat.

[00:06:57] They were winning all these challenges.

[00:06:59] Everybody was like turning on him.

[00:07:01] He's like just found out his number one ally wasn't with them.

[00:07:04] And I was like, okay, at least he's going to play his idol.

[00:07:07] But man, I just,

[00:07:08] Bruce, it just felt like that moment reminds me of so much of

[00:07:11] what I was feeling in that moment.

[00:07:12] You know, just as a,

[00:07:13] a,

[00:07:14] like why wouldn't this knucklehead play his idol?

[00:07:16] Does he want me to be sad?

[00:07:18] You know, Bruce,

[00:07:19] is that what this moment was giving for you?

[00:07:21] You know,

[00:07:22] the way that you just put that, yes, yes.

[00:07:28] No, I'm looking at this and I was,

[00:07:30] I was just again,

[00:07:32] I was back to being a fan of survivor.

[00:07:35] I know that there's all this other stuff that's happening in

[00:07:38] tribal probably lasted,

[00:07:40] I don't know an hour, hour and a half.

[00:07:42] Like I know that there was so much more included with what I saw

[00:07:45] as a fan.

[00:07:47] I'm looking at it and in the track history as to what was

[00:07:50] already showed, you know,

[00:07:51] with Q talking to his group of people and saying,

[00:07:54] Oh, just vote me out.

[00:07:55] Vote me out and tips saying,

[00:07:57] just shy of man,

[00:07:58] if you don't cut this shit out, like, you know,

[00:08:00] all that stuff and then this transpires now.

[00:08:02] Find you, I'm sitting there and I'm doing that reaction

[00:08:05] and that reaction was real.

[00:08:06] Like I was dumbfounded.

[00:08:08] Like what the hell is going on?

[00:08:10] And then almost immediately thereafter,

[00:08:11] I'm like, okay,

[00:08:12] this next episode,

[00:08:14] episode nine has to be Q explaining himself and saying,

[00:08:18] Hey, that worked out.

[00:08:19] Didn't that work out well?

[00:08:20] Like here's what we're going to do.

[00:08:21] And like that is that had,

[00:08:23] they have to show that they have to show that to validate

[00:08:26] the point that's in my mind that he was doing this for the show.

[00:08:29] He was doing it to try to, to get the heat off.

[00:08:32] So that Tevin would feel so comfortable.

[00:08:34] Yeah.

[00:08:35] And that's what I think you do.

[00:08:36] So when, when you are making that face,

[00:08:38] who are you making that face for?

[00:08:40] The people that fell for what Q did?

[00:08:45] It was more towards Q because remember,

[00:08:47] again, I was looking at it as a fan.

[00:08:50] I was looking at it through the lens of not being

[00:08:53] a former survivor player.

[00:08:56] I'm looking at what they're showing me on television

[00:08:58] and I'm just like, what?

[00:09:00] No.

[00:09:01] That was my initial reaction.

[00:09:04] So I was, I will always back up with that.

[00:09:07] I was looking at it as a fan,

[00:09:09] but as soon as I was done and the episode was over,

[00:09:12] I was even talking to my wife about it.

[00:09:14] Like no, that almost, that could work out

[00:09:16] and they're probably going to show that he did that

[00:09:19] to make people feel comfortable

[00:09:21] and know that he wasn't going to get a single vote for him.

[00:09:23] There's no way.

[00:09:25] Jepel, what's going on?

[00:09:27] Is Bruce trying to stay on Q's good side for Survivor 50?

[00:09:32] Is that what's happening right now?

[00:09:34] Yeah.

[00:09:35] Bruce knows he's coming back as a three-time player

[00:09:39] in the middle of his forehead too.

[00:09:41] And he knows that if he comes after Q

[00:09:43] or says the wrong thing, Q might take it against him.

[00:11:01] I know we talked to his alliance with his closest people.

[00:11:04] he isn't going to do in travel because it's already been said that I did this.

[00:11:08] But he wanted Tevin to be as comfortable as humanly possible.

[00:11:12] He really, really did.

[00:11:14] He had to.

[00:11:15] Because if he doesn't do that,

[00:11:18] I'm trying to think of all the advantages and everything like that.

[00:11:21] That's out there, but I'm trying to just see that he did whatever he could to make

[00:11:26] Tevin feel comfortable.

[00:11:27] So he didn't play a shot in the dark.

[00:11:29] First off, everybody's at that.

[00:11:30] And if he hits, if he pulls a Caleb and hits it,

[00:11:32] oh damn, now it's a complete master nightmare.

[00:11:35] But he just wanted him to feel comfortable.

[00:11:37] That's what I think that he wanted to do.

[00:11:39] The gameplay is, is simple and confusing all at the same time.

[00:11:43] It's difficult at the same time.

[00:11:44] Like it, but it's just through its core stand out.

[00:11:48] Have everybody look, look at, look at Hunter's face.

[00:11:52] Hunter's face was like that was classic.

[00:11:54] Like I don't know what I'm saying.

[00:11:56] Like that's absolutely classic because that's when he,

[00:11:59] that's the reaction that they wanted.

[00:12:01] And I think that that was completely,

[00:12:03] that was real with the reaction of people aside from the overacting maybe

[00:12:07] of his own clients.

[00:12:08] Chappelle, what did you think about all this?

[00:12:12] I'll be that guy.

[00:12:13] You know what?

[00:12:14] Let me be the guy.

[00:12:16] I think Q wanted to quit.

[00:12:17] I think that Q, yeah, I think we've got to take what he did at face value.

[00:12:20] What Q did was say, you know what?

[00:12:22] I'm not getting my way in the game right now.

[00:12:24] I feel like I'm about to cost one of my, my sixes out.

[00:12:27] Well, one of these allies a spot or something like that.

[00:12:30] He didn't already threw Tiffany, uh, idol out the window too.

[00:12:33] So he's starting looking around the room spinning is oh God,

[00:12:36] I'm losing control.

[00:12:37] Maybe I'll just give you all the opportunities to kick me out.

[00:12:40] Now does next episode, he come in and completely refute everything

[00:12:43] that I just said probably, but do I have to believe him?

[00:12:45] No, you know, cause just because he says it was a move,

[00:12:48] don't mean it was a move.

[00:12:49] We've seen this several times throughout the season specifically

[00:12:52] coming from Q's original tribe.

[00:12:54] Jalinsky would tell you that he several means seven and now

[00:12:57] it does just because he's so it's like whatever, yeah,

[00:13:00] whatever truth we have here watching on television doesn't

[00:13:03] matter because once they make it their truth in the game,

[00:13:05] that's what it becomes.

[00:13:06] But as far as like making Tevin feel comfortable,

[00:13:08] it doesn't look like Tevin could have been any more comfortable in

[00:13:10] the world.

[00:13:11] He was so blindsided by this.

[00:13:12] He seemed pretty comfortable.

[00:13:15] This was the most, I mean, Tevin is laying on the tribe floor

[00:13:17] like just laughing at being his half of the episode, you know,

[00:13:20] this man could not be any more comfortable.

[00:13:26] it's a worse move for Q long-term because how do I forget

[00:13:29] that this man did this?

[00:13:30] He did that and we're just supposed to let him just

[00:13:32] continue in the game.

[00:13:34] If you were under the radar, you're no longer under it.

[00:15:18] Don't vote out anybody else.

[00:15:21] I was on the challenge.

[00:15:22] You know, and I haven't forgotten that.

[00:15:24] He tells the camera, yeah, this is our gameplay.

[00:15:27] people to vote for you. Stop telling people that you want to leave the game because eventually

[00:15:30] they're going to give you what you want. That was Tevin's whole move at this tribal council

[00:15:34] was, hey, this a grown ass man. If he wants to go, let him go. Now Tevin should have

[00:15:39] probably been alerted once everybody else wasn't agreeing with him that maybe there

[00:15:42] was something else going on because it should seem like, hey, here's Hugh's head on a platter.

[00:15:48] He's saying, vote me out. This man is obviously a physical threat. He's pretty indoctrinated

[00:15:52] in the tribe. He's part of all these alliances, but nobody is willing to entertain

[00:15:56] except Tevin. Yeah, yeah, exactly. But nobody's entertaining this conversation except Tevin.

[00:16:00] So if I'm Tevin, I'm like, so y'all just don't want this man to go home? Is that what

[00:16:04] this is? At that point, I would be worried.

[00:16:06] Yeah.

[00:16:07] You know, so much Q in this episode, there's like five different things that we could go

[00:16:14] into now. Let me bring in, you brought up Jolinsky, okay?

[00:16:21] Q and Jolinsky is different. Big day for him, but for Jolinsky, of course he comes up again

[00:16:31] in this episode, Bruce. And of course you were the most famous first boot of the new

[00:16:37] era, but I'm just first wondering, is there any rivalry between you and Jolinsky for

[00:16:43] the most famous first person out of a season of the new era?

[00:16:48] First off, first off, first off. Now I don't want to say that I don't want to be cocky, but I will.

[00:16:55] All of Survivor. I'm the first boot ever of All of Survivor from day one. Listen, but it is true.

[00:17:02] I went out in an epic way. I'm going to blame myself because of wardrobe. My shirt was too tight.

[00:17:09] It's going to be on my gravestone. Bruce's shirt was too tight. He's very bumped his head.

[00:17:13] But there was no way for me to be to not be self-aware at that point because only thing I

[00:17:23] did was nod and I sit behind Jam Jam and I was just like goofy looking around. Survivor

[00:17:29] and then Survivor's ready to go take off Smash Mendoza and then go from there.

[00:17:34] So there's really no fight. There's no argument. There's nothing between me and Jolinsky.

[00:17:38] He had the ability to show the world that he's an epic player in all this other stuff and

[00:17:45] he voted out first. I didn't have the ability to knock myself out first. So I guess it's apples and oranges.

[00:17:51] Jolinsky has been on the sideline, but he's still talking about everything that's going on

[00:17:56] on the season. And so Jolinsky had a lot to say about this week's episode. I want to

[00:18:02] start to bring some of this stuff in as him and Q went back and forth a little bit.

[00:18:10] This is a sanguine Sal on Twitter. Put a lot of this together. Jolinsky said after the episode,

[00:18:20] can't spell quit without Q. Did he lie? The points were made. That's a true sentence right there.

[00:18:29] Shots fired. Yeah. I'll just say. Okay. I'll just say it. All right. Then

[00:18:37] Q responded, wake up, wake up, wake up. I'm still alive in Survivor somehow. Oh, before I forget and

[00:18:46] move on to episode nine. If you went home already, hush and keep watching from the sidelines wish you

[00:18:53] had several episodes. I love a wrap beef. You know what I'm saying? You see these like

[00:19:03] sneak slugs in there is like you might not have thought that was for Jolinsky, but that several

[00:19:06] was pointed. Yes. Yeah. That was the J Cole thing right there. That's J Cole all over. Exactly.

[00:19:12] Now don't retract it. Don't retract it. You go stand if you go say it Q stand on it.

[00:19:16] Bruce, this cast is fine. Luckily your whole cast, you all get along great. We're not used to

[00:19:24] seeing this kind of drama here in Survivor 46. Yeah. No. I think with the 45, our drama was

[00:19:35] all in out like face to face. We had our conversation and stuff like that, but I don't

[00:19:41] really think there was all that much drama. Yeah. Even, even in, I'm not going to name any names.

[00:19:46] When I was on 44, I bought my head out and I'm like, beloved. I wasn't able to get on anybody's

[00:19:55] bad side. I was like, Oh, Bruce, you don't get people being voted out. They come to me. Bruce,

[00:19:58] are you okay? Is your head all right? Like you just got voted out of the game. Like you're no

[00:20:01] longer going to have a shot at a million dollars. You weren't on my dome. Like come on now.

[00:20:04] But it's, and then we're going to find out is at 44. There was some beef going on and nobody's

[00:20:12] going to know about it because we all kept to ourselves. We didn't sit there and, you know,

[00:20:18] the people over there, like there was nothing that was sent out to the world. It was either

[00:45:51] wearing a team. Bruce shirt you could have got that in season 45 back in season 44. He was with

[00:46:01] Carolyn and Carson who came out with their own pillows way back when and we are in the golden

[00:46:09] era of survivor merch. Q though again he's a game changer. He's the first player to come up with

[00:46:19] a merch idea while he's on the show. We found out about the Q skirt. The Q skirt. Okay, the Q skirt.

[00:46:30] Chappelle what do you think of the Q skirt? It's innovative. You know I think that we've seen

[00:46:37] fashion shows on Survivor before. We've seen people you know innovative looks with these buffs

[00:46:43] and stuff but rarely do we see somebody say I know I'm going to come up with a piece of

[00:46:47] merch and I'm going to talk about it on the show and hopes that it takes off and maybe he can sell

[00:52:48] tree to sit behind it like whatever there's a lot of calories like hunt it off a tree is that why

[00:53:28] I'm flying through I'm now looking under stuff like I'm making sure I don't knock myself

[00:53:33] with the pieces again but it was a reward challenge and I'm just like oh like whatever

[00:53:38] I knew and I already got roasted for my my mr. Raj's saying put my shoes on and stuff like that

[00:53:52] because even going back like you know we're you know we're all status we like to go back and

[00:53:57] just look at our lives through through television and go back and watch our episodes and it's like

[00:54:12] that I got running by and I'm just like hey good job like a happy dad on easter egg hunt

[00:54:21] I I broke my phone in half tweeting about you that day I was so angry oh

[00:54:25] Bruce did y'all did y'all play games on the island too like hide and seek or will you

[00:54:29] just kind of like now you want to save your calories no man no like there weren't any games

[00:54:34] at all that I could do unless maybe I wasn't included they were hiding from you we really

[00:54:40] didn't play any games there was you know we we sat around we talked about a lot of stuff

[00:54:44] we laughed there's a ton of laughing going on and you know I remember we were it was when we had

[00:54:51] going over to the uh the Lulu hellhole and it had this beautiful aesthetically pleasing to the eye

[00:54:59] you know uh shelter it looked great and all of a sudden the wind was blowing it was raining out and

[00:55:04] literally the front was open the back was open it was like cue skirt yeah it was just

[00:55:08] blowing rain and water through and it was like oh my god it was the worst ever but then Jake

[00:55:12] starts making us laugh our ass off so we did we did a ton of laughs when it came to you know

[00:55:19] anything above and beyond we didn't play any games we didn't do any of that so you know

[00:55:23] hindsight being 2020 if we would have played any kind of games like I just I was watching tabby

[00:55:26] he was making he was making the uh the checkerboard or the chessboard whatever you want to call it

[00:55:30] he was doing that that looked like it could have been fun but we had other things to do and

[00:55:35] keeping an eye on each other was was that was paramount at that point in time.

[00:55:39] All right so season 50 cue says all right everybody we're doing tic-tac-toe today

[00:55:48] everybody we're all gonna play tic-tac-toe are you in bruce?

[00:55:51] Long as we modified make it look like something did like just put a little more effort into it

[00:55:56] I was like listen I'm on tic-tac I watch tic-tac videos I put my own stuff out there like I have a

[00:56:00] good time there was one that I saw it was actually badass where it was like at a gym

[00:56:04] and it had two like the tic-tac thing but it was with uh um the dumbbell like bars yeah

[00:56:10] and they had to pick up a round you're on tic-tac-toe tic-tac

[00:56:15] man listen it was it was awesome so man run up and down the beach and do that and I'm gonna sit

[00:56:20] there and I'll I'll be the ref I'll make sure you're doing right because I ain't burning my couch

[00:56:24] so go ahead and play good I'm 12 for this shit yeah Chappelle how would you hide in the hide and

[00:56:30] seek with cue? Well I think playing hide and seek with cue is the mistake you know I think we've

[00:56:36] learned from this episode that made a mistake and I don't want to do that you know I'm saying like

[00:56:40] I just feel like if cue because they said cue has been trying to get us to play hide and seek since

[00:56:44] we were on our original tribe since yanu and yanu has just been like no no we're good no we're good

[00:56:50] so he's been working on this bit since before he came on Survivor he's like if I could just

[00:56:54] get them to play tic-tac-toe that's what he does he gets an idea and then he has to he

[00:56:58] doesn't ever waste it that's why he had to do this I have to quit the game because he

[00:57:02] already thought of this idea he didn't get a chance to use it yet I prefer that than all the

[00:57:07] Survivor players getting off the show and saying you know what I wish I had done I wish I had done

[00:57:11] XYZ you know I was gonna build a nest in the tree and I never got to no no do it just do it

[00:57:16] eff it whatever what do you do it why why play the game like you're like Jeff say play it

[00:57:20] like you already lost once like you're playing it for the second time you know like you have

[00:57:23] nothing to lose and I see that that seems like what he's doing because he got them to play

[00:57:27] hide and seek and then we got a whole montage of him saying and this is why I did it I wanted

[00:57:32] to see how they acted and basically anything you did that wasn't bq was a mistake and I mean he's

[00:57:38] not wrong everybody has to go for the man to win the game well minus the two people he sits next to

[00:57:44] zero some game at that point yeah but it's interesting that there were people Bruce that

[00:57:48] he read a lot into oh this person was too good at hide and seek they made a mistake

[00:57:54] but to go back to Jolinsky Jolinsky didn't try to hard and and wanted to quit and that too was a

[00:58:02] mistake well which is it cute you want people people to be good at things or bad at things

[00:58:08] yeah I think it's just it doesn't make it like I I hadn't seen what he was saying go off and

[00:58:15] go but it was kind of easy to come up with that information just for the simple fact like

[00:58:20] Hunter's a beast he's out there he's he's you want you know immunity and he's in the tree and

[00:58:26] he's doing this thing like you see what he brings to the table it's maybe he's even said some of that

[00:58:32] stuff prior to but it's like you have all these characteristics of people and you can just start

[00:58:36] saying them from from day one and kind of seeing how they are and just making your own vision

[00:58:42] of what you think like this one sloppy why because it tripped over a couple things so this

[00:58:45] sloppy oh this one you know who was it then Ben was hiding literally on the ground pulled green

[00:58:52] shirt over his head is he innovative like yeah he like that was a mistake that was a mistake

[00:58:58] yes he can hide and play a fight QE but Q told us being but he's hiding a mistake here's a damn

[00:59:06] he's still like his threat level is different when you're playing a game everybody that was doing

[00:59:11] that they weren't playing the game they were just going to have fun to escape that's what you

[00:59:17] looked for even out again we had one day where we literally had nothing going on that was probably

[00:59:21] this day that they go through with one day what did you do and we literally sat around almost

[00:59:29] half paranoid like shit Jeff's gonna come out of a tree somewhere and say hey we have a you know

[00:59:35] we're going to travel right now yeah and you're gonna judge it off you know we're gonna vote

[00:59:40] what you did all day today because we just sat there and sat in each other and who's going off

[00:59:44] with who and who's doing what but who's extra paranoid because we're not doing anything today like

[00:59:49] all those kind of things so I understand Q wanted to be able to say this is what this person's

[00:59:56] like this is what this person's like this is what this person's like he had his own dictation

[00:59:59] of what he thought everybody was like fine I don't take that away from you that's your thought

[01:00:04] but is he correct with that by way of what we're watching the show and what is actually

[01:00:09] happening in real life we'll see yeah yeah um we see two reads by Q that I've I find very

[01:00:15] interesting one uh being that um I think he says to about Liz oh Liz she went above and

[01:00:26] beyond in hiding and she's been acting like she doesn't want to win this game but in reality

[01:00:30] based on how she played hide and seek yeah it looks like she wants to win this game well she found Q

[01:00:35] yeah oh yeah she found Q and he was like yeah you you you said you didn't care about this game

[01:00:40] yeah you said you didn't care you got a million dollars and there's nothing but you playing hide

[01:00:43] and seek that's on the state you want to win the game you're trying to beat me you know I

[01:00:47] thought that was such uh uh an interesting read because hide and seek has nothing to do with it

[01:00:52] but he's not wrong Liz has been lying to these people saying that she doesn't want to win the

[01:00:55] game or that million dollars is nothing and all this other stuff but yeah even she wasn't willing

[01:01:00] to sit out hide and seek that competitive instinct kicked in the other way nobody's hide nobody's

[01:01:05] staying out of anything nobody's gonna do that no one's gonna be the one left behind everybody's

[01:01:11] gonna go here and do this you know what back I'm not gonna do that I'm gonna sit back and I'm

[01:01:15] gonna tend to the fire I'm gonna take a nap and not not one good like we don't do that in a new

[01:01:20] era survivor you don't do that because you have formal there is a biggest level of formal

[01:01:25] that I've ever seen they've been on the people that are laid in the shelter but

[01:01:28] in the shelter they're going the next episode because they either a or no they're going together

[01:01:33] it's just huge sense of you know that they're on top and we talk about it in their confessionals

[01:01:38] and you're like if you can breathe the through the uh the breadcrumbs and see the east exit like

[01:01:42] oh yep that's why they're going and then you figure it out but nobody's gonna say no especially to

[01:01:48] a childhood game like everybody's gonna play oh you don't want to you know be showing your

[01:01:53] interest and want to play now let us know that people aren't gonna say no there's no way around

[01:01:58] especially the game of survivor because you want to know what's going on if you notice which is weird

[01:02:02] to me everybody got together to find other people yeah yeah I feel like it was a big a big island

[01:02:11] though Bruce you know it's like at some point these people go be hiding forever they said

[01:02:14] people were going far into the island that they hadn't even like gotten to before

[01:02:18] they were out of bounds yeah because you're gonna put it first off first off somebody's looking

[01:02:23] for an island while they're doing a little well Bruce that was well I was about to ask you

[01:02:27] isn't it crazy that we got this montage of people hiding in the woods and not one person saying

[01:02:31] okay yeah I'm looking for an advantage during this time like nobody we didn't get one sound bite

[01:02:36] well Bruce could you've just said for us uh because I feel like that there's a lot of synergy

[01:02:40] between like the seasons that they film back to back um was there a post merge idle in season

[01:02:46] 45 so I know there was the pre-merge idols but did anybody find an idol after the merge in 45

[01:02:55] jaked it when we found it on the um oh yeah that this is very very he just found it in the woods

[01:03:00] like and like late in the game right it wasn't there wasn't even a clue he's on the raft

[01:03:07] yeah it felt like a prime moment for somebody to say yes I'm pretending to look for this but

[01:03:14] but that happened after you went out with an idol like are do you think that there is an

[01:03:20] idol hidden right now or do you think that they they want some of these idols to get burned from

[01:03:25] the game and then they'll put a put an idol out there um I think because how many idols are how

[01:03:35] many idols are in the game right now Tiffany has one and and uh Hunter has one he knows two

[01:03:41] here there's two yeah yeah is there two do they not want there to be three right now

[01:03:47] I I because post one I don't think but who had um what's your name left with one uh but she's not

[01:03:54] on jury so I think that they're probably gonna that's it they're gonna just sit there at the two

[01:04:00] and let's just say Hunter gets blindsided and voted off then they'll they'll rehide

[01:04:04] who had the you had an idol who else had idols in uh and Austin Austin had and Austin had two

[01:04:10] so and also had two at the time that you had one so there was three out there um yeah and then Jake

[01:04:17] and then Jake found one and Jake found one after I went out but did Julie use it I think Julie

[01:04:25] played an idol also uh and so there was only one idol left in the game and so I wonder if they

[01:04:31] put if they put it back like I like I really I don't think that there's an idol out there right now

[01:04:35] I don't know I grudge them for not thinking there's an idol out there I just I want to know why the

[01:04:39] players aren't looking for one you know what I'm saying like like Rob we can sit here and

[01:04:43] parse that out like okay there's probably not another one maybe production but you mean to

[01:04:46] tell me it's after the merge uh two people who could have never seen themselves going home

[01:04:51] just went home back to back and like we don't get one soundbite or somebody saying maybe

[01:04:55] I should use this time to try to find something to help me but I think looking around nobody

[01:05:00] thinks they're on the bottom of the of this like nobody does because the one person everybody

[01:05:04] thinks is on the bottom Venus thinks she's running the game so even Venus isn't looking for an idol

[01:06:57] ladies are gonna see Kenzie probably yeah um but Jeff has been talking about even going back

[01:07:04] to the preseason he did a lot of interviews and talked about how he's gonna be even spicy

[01:07:09] he cut the like basically he cut the rice with the knife and something something changed Bruce

[01:07:14] because Jeff is like embracing his inner villain here he was with the contestants this week how long

[01:07:20] do you think you would last Jeff longer than 20 seconds I got today oh yeah how about that hey

[01:07:27] I'm gonna tell you this dude when we sat they were and you know I don't remember all of it

[01:07:33] but there were a lot of times when you would sit there like Jake was Jake like to say things

[01:07:37] back and forth with Jeff and Jeff will come back with these things and like you had to like if you're

[01:07:42] in the middle of something you have concentrate on it or if you're like in the middle of whatever Jeff

[01:07:47] would be he would say something I remember he was said something about like I think it was a freezer

[01:07:54] because Lulu was completely out of the challenge like he just says stuff like just and then if you

[01:08:00] hear it you're like oh did he just say that or you just stop like laughing because Jeff me you know

[01:08:05] he's being spicy without us telling him that but we just laugh at him and he just he loves it he eats

[01:08:10] it all eats it up whatever the situation comes when he can sit there and jab at you he will jab at

[01:08:16] you because it's his show and he can almost say what he wants to say sometimes I wish we'd say more

[01:08:22] um but he literally will will make you do a double take in regards to some of the stuff

[01:08:27] that he says how long did you last in this challenge Bruce which one was the didn't

[01:08:34] didn't you do that yeah get a grip that d1 oh my god yes there are two things first thing is that

[01:08:40] we will walk it around on that ground and these little spiky things were on the ground and we're

[01:08:44] like oh shit trying to walk over because we're barefoot and Kendra goes hey Jeff is there any

[01:08:50] way to get rid of all these things and clean it up and he goes yeah we'll do that for next season

[01:10:22] and in his mind I could have been up there for another 30 minutes blah blah blah but they're looking

[01:10:26] at that and they're gonna start having more conversations in regards to me because now it's

[01:10:29] now it's an individual game and you really like you want jury management but you excuse me you can

[01:10:38] stroke the ego of hunter once you vote him out and say yo you were too big of a threat

[01:10:42] yeah that's the reason why I got throughout until like you you played this game a way

[01:10:46] that I wanted to play this game blah blah blah and maybe you know well well he's got my vote now

[01:10:52] because you were able to you know be able to stroke his ego but he's he's a dangerous person in his

[01:10:57] game physically it's not throwing the puzzles in because puzzles are gonna start coming in now

[01:11:01] so I don't know what is in there now I want to see what an equalizer is in regards hunting because

[01:11:05] I know me personally basically I was there puzzle wise Bruce he's great puzzles in his

[01:11:11] din yeah they're in his living room right now remember his puzzle collection

[01:11:15] mergetory he was the person that did the whole puzzle at the end

[01:11:20] that's right yeah he's scary but I'm just saying you know when you think about the

[01:11:25] challenge in it of itself Bruce you these little little footholds and you're at the top of the

[01:11:31] pole and I feel like if you have big feet this will be tough for you but Hunter doesn't look

[01:11:35] like a guy who has like tiny feet but he still manages to demolish everybody in this challenge

[01:11:40] uh was uh tell okay put us take us on a journey you were on the pole what was going on through

[01:11:45] your mind how how did you think you were gonna do on this challenge well there were ones being

[01:11:49] thrown at me so that's why we call it club condo yeah no I was literally so so they

[01:11:58] start you off they got a gigantic ladder behind you and as high as you want to go you can go

[01:12:03] five feet off you can go to very top so I was very top you go up the ladder you're holding

[01:12:06] on to the thing you're one foot on the ladder you're holding on trying to get your foot hold

[01:12:09] whatever whatever and then all of a sudden they take the ladder away so it's like I'm gonna count

[01:12:15] you down and once they get to like two do take the ladder out well they take off running and then

[01:12:21] now the challenge begins it is so difficult because I in my mind I'm like yeah this is gonna be

[01:12:29] right at that point in time I was probably like a hundred and like 75 pounds so now I felt that I was

[01:12:37] physically strong but I'm holding on to this you have I had burns on the inside of my thighs and

[01:12:41] on my my calves like you try and hold on and like lock your feet around it and do whatever

[01:12:45] but you're at a disadvantage myself first because of my size so then you got drew drew beat me on

[01:12:51] it because drew small and lanky and he could throw his arms around his legs around it three times

[01:12:55] it'd be perfectly fine so they have long but then you got the footholds so Jeff keeps bragging that

[01:13:02] this thing lasted how long did he say like three hours or some stuff like that yeah but it was different

[01:13:08] it was different yeah right so stop bringing it up there used to be like ropes tied around the

[01:13:17] thing at different points like you could like stand on like the rope that was around it yeah

[01:13:22] yeah and you know you ever see a lot of this is do not step here there was a big enough gap

[01:13:27] back in the day where they said step here like you just put your foot in that it'd be good

[01:13:30] you couldn't do anything I remember my trying to throw my if I had bunions where my bunion would

[01:13:37] be at my foot trying to throw that in there and then like hold on and I felt my foot was

[01:13:41] in a snap like it was it was so difficult but someone like D who won she was just locked in

[01:13:48] Kelly was just locked in like I gave them the little homage you know be a tweet they were both

[01:13:53] locked in and then as soon as I saw that D wrapped her legs around that thing kind of sat back on it

[01:13:58] and like let that little fulcrum type thing she's done it's a rat yeah and she didn't move she did

[01:14:04] not move but me personally I'm like now I felt I could do it I was on top of the world mentally

[01:14:09] I got there and I was like this doesn't feel right yeah and then I just saw the slide

[01:14:15] Tevin talked a big game Tevin said he was going to beat Ozzie's record but then he was out pretty

[01:14:20] quick after that which is that it's easier when Ozzie and them did it right because we

[01:14:24] we used to see poverty just standing on the pole like I like it was a black pole like hey

[01:14:28] y'all it's chilling you know Tyson is another one Ozzie they just like they're built for this

[01:14:34] this challenge where it's like I just would love to see them you know and there's no way we

[01:14:37] can know this now because they're not the same people they were back then but I would love

[01:14:41] to see them in this new modified version of this because those footholds have to be way smaller

[01:14:45] now than they were back then for the way that people used to do this challenge honestly I think

[01:14:48] the footholds are a trap I think that you don't even want to like attempt to go for the footholds

[01:14:54] I think that it's all about the grip it's all about yeah just sort of like getting it like

[01:14:58] in a leg lock and like uh and like leaning back yeah yeah the footholds are the big like that's

[01:15:04] the beginning like when Tevin was crouching down the way that he was like that only can last

[01:15:09] so long you're not a professional baseball catcher like there's no way you can stay in that position

[01:15:12] as long as as you think you can because then everything starts falling asleep but what I didn't

[01:15:18] have the ability to do I didn't have the ability to wrap my legs around a locker man like I couldn't

[01:15:21] do that I tried but I couldn't do that um and then you start holding on putting your fingers

[01:15:26] in there and you're like you you're about to pop a nail you got to pop a nail on because

[01:15:30] either the weight of your body is just gonna just the tips are just gonna fall off your

[01:15:34] fingers so you know and then it's you want to slowly work your way down because you see

[01:15:40] people slide down this thing and they leave you know five pounds of flesh on the freaking pole

[01:15:45] because it's not like they're not smooth yeah that can't be very safe either you know what I'm

[01:15:51] saying like survivors taking a big risk like just leaving you up on that pole without any

[01:15:54] type of harness or anything like that because you could just fall no we saw like Andrea

[01:15:58] take a bad fall that one time yeah yeah I'm thinking like when Hunter flipped upside down

[01:16:03] like that because we could have been bad Jeff what are you doing stop doing that get down from there

[01:16:24] had a lot of fun with this challenge I was so impressed with Charlie I mean Charlie's at the

[01:16:28] top he comes down a little bit he'd go back up then he goes all the way down he's like Jeff

[01:16:34] let's negotiate and we I had a good laugh before there was a split second where it looked like Charlie

[01:16:38] was about to climb back up and had he done it I just walked out I'd be like this this man is

[01:16:42] a monster of a person but he's not I just I know I wouldn't be useless in a lot of these

[01:16:47] challenges this is one of those ones where I've been like no I'm opting out to eat every time

[01:16:51] put me over there with Liz and Q every time it was funny when Q and Liz were talking about like

[01:16:56] the people that thought they wanted to try this challenge thought they're gonna be

[01:17:01] they thought they were gonna be Tarzan but even Hunter said he's just like I don't know why y'all

[01:17:05] agreed to do this challenge y'all had to know you weren't going to win this one and Q says

[01:17:10] yeah Tarzan was up in a tree while we play hide and seek just randomly like why would you go

[01:17:15] up against this person I'm like well Q that's the guy in the alliance that you protect in

[01:17:18] the most in this six that you keep talking about Hunter is who you should be worried about but

[01:17:24] Q don't respect him as an athlete I don't know he's not he's not too worried about that he thinks

[01:17:28] he's gonna be eventually yeah it's debatable debatable yeah debatable yeah okay um I want to

[01:17:34] talk a little bit about uh at the the live tribal council uh now Bruce uh you never

[01:17:41] experienced anything like this right no no no okay never um I think that no we didn't we didn't

[01:17:50] experience anything I think if there was a live tribal it wasn't with us it really have not been

[01:17:56] many in the new era in 41 uh there were like there was a couple but really this is the first

[01:18:01] time that we've gotten a real wild one in a long time and so somebody who really did not

[01:18:08] enjoy it was Ben he did not like uh the live tribal council uh that he was one of the people

[01:18:16] that called it the dumbest tribal council ever uh that he uh visually told us at one point this

[01:18:22] does not rock okay uh and then uh he actually also created some artwork about this experience

[01:18:40] for the shenanigans and uh this was he did a re in a uh art a painting of his quote from

[01:18:48] the episode that he didn't he did not like this I don't care for the shenanigans I don't care

[01:18:54] for the shenanigans no no um you know when we we had we actually I'm sorry we did have a live

[01:19:04] tribal council which we had a live tribal council when um Caleb was it the Caleb j might

[01:19:12] that's right yeah that's right yes yeah it got it got hot at that point yeah that was the

[01:19:17] oh I know that had to tough you tough so I just remember like the just straight chaos like what the

[01:19:26] hell like what the hell guys yeah um like we for mine to say we already had an idea who number two

[01:19:40] j maya so why we stringing this poor thing along like she was the reason why I mean she's she's

[01:19:50] the game um but it was it was an effort of futility like she it was a it was a full gone

[01:19:57] conclusion and I think that these live tribals albeit that they're they're fun the cute you

[01:20:06] know this that I just I find it as a waste of it's a waste of energy because the decisions are

[01:20:12] the decisions already made like we already know who the next person is it's going to go and it's

[01:20:16] like yeah oh I think that this one was the same thing bruce I think that tavern was going home

[01:20:21] from the beach and I think the tavern went home at the end of this I think that this was uh

[01:20:25] maybe a waste of energy for everybody except for tavern yeah yeah it truly was it really was

[01:27:18] not just to get her vote back and then not playing it and getting eliminated and then

[01:27:22] Sean quitting and D still voting for sifu and that same tribal council and that's all before

[01:27:27] the pre-merge that's all before the merge yeah but I feel like it's pretty like I mean 45's post-merge

[01:29:18] that are trying to win the game and trying to they're there for a check that outweighs someone

[01:29:25] that's there for their heart unless they're there for their heart or win a million hearts because

[01:29:29] they're the funds that they're going to get from a million hearts is gonna from winning the game

[01:29:32] is going to help those million hearts like you know I'm saying that that's the driving factor

[01:29:37] now you're playing against people that accept you know you know for one person that says

[01:29:41] ooh but wealthy but so you have to have that thing like you have to have that drive and

[01:29:46] going out there for experience well that experience is just gonna eventually you

[01:29:50] got to get to a point you're gonna be like I don't want to be on the ground anymore like

[01:29:54] I don't want to do this anymore like this experience sucks aka what we saw with Hannah

[01:29:59] and what we saw with Sean like they didn't they had just as much chance to win as everybody

[01:30:04] that goes on it was zero some like Jeff says all that zero some game but you you're wanting

[01:30:10] to win a million dollars outweighs the ability to have an experience and his experience unfortunately

[01:36:57] at now so what I'm loving is the fact that yes she wanted immunity which is great um individual

[01:37:05] immunity perfect I got you so she shows that she's got that strength but she's also

[01:37:09] like she with Charlie and she's very unassuming she talked to Venus and she was like

[01:37:14] straightforward Venus and Venus was apologetic and then there was no I don't think there was any

[01:37:18] blowback on Maria from what Maria said to her I think above my Julie was that she's just got

[01:37:28] just a little bit more a little bit more of that like um I want to say killer instinct

[01:37:35] just a little bit more than Julie had so I think that's kind of propeller because

[01:37:38] Julie almost couldn't hold out idle to sell back in and then two episodes later she's gone

[01:37:46] and she had no control over that I think that Maria has more control than than what um Julia okay Maria

[01:37:54] Bruce this week coming up it's the final nine in your season they split you into threes

[01:38:01] you got immunity right you got to you got to go and they just gave you just a chicken with no sides

[01:38:09] you got to go and have that as a reward do you think they're going to do that this week do you

[01:38:44] and I remember at one point in time I'm looking over and you know Jake and those guys were all done

[01:38:50] and now we're going against Austin and um it was it was Austin

[01:38:57] who's he with? Katorra and um Emily so I look over and I'm like wait no there's no way in hell

[01:39:04] that I'm losing that so then you just start digging a little bit harder and then kind of make it through

[01:39:09] and like there's something about that added level of BS and then they got to go and they got to

[01:39:14] take off and you know here's a twist on top of the twist on top of the twist like I love

[01:39:18] that aspect of it so I'd like I'd like to see them come back and do that um it was it was that episode

[01:39:25] change your whole season because that's when they gave Julie the idol uh because they were trying

[01:39:30] to outsmart production of like okay if we don't get back together here's the idol Julie and that

[01:39:34] changed everything yeah right mm-hmm so I don't know I I like I like the way that that they did

[01:39:43] when there were nine left so bring it back have that that split up and and make them fight like

[01:39:48] make them fight actually make them decide again make them decide because it's gonna it'll show a

[01:39:53] little bit of hierarchy um because when we were deciding Drew was the one that made that decision

[01:39:59] on how we should break everything up that was definitely 100% him backed up by the other

[01:40:04] Revers okay so and that might have been like the Revers kind of keeping an eye on everybody

[01:40:09] and dynamics but whatever like they need to bring it back yeah listen as they can bring it

[01:40:15] back all they want but offer something else for these people for a reward other than just chicken
