[00:04:03] excited to jump into the mess of survivor and this season as a whole. Yes we're going to get

[00:04:10] into this week's episode and all the things that come with it but thank you all for being here

[00:04:15] as I kind of just go off the rails a little bit and just we're going to vibe this time because

[00:04:19] like I said dad's away and so you know the kids will play and first of all let's just talk

[00:04:24] about where Rob is right now because Rob has missed some podcast Sam rarely missed the podcast so

[00:04:32] it had to be a big occasion and it turns out that this weekend is not well this week is not only the

[00:04:38] eclipse but also to Mary Ann's wedding and so Rob and Sam are both off doing that. They're in a great

[00:04:45] country of Canada and they've left us here in the United States without an invite of Maggie.

[00:04:52] What happened? Why aren't we at the wedding?

[00:04:54] You know I think I'm going to have to speak to Mary Ann about this one. I feel very left out. It

[00:05:02] looks very fun. All of the pictures look amazing. I did just start a new full-time job so I'm not

[00:05:10] sure I would have been able to immediately take off of work but you know Mary Ann might be

[00:05:13] getting a letter from me a strongly worded email from me because I have FOMO.

[00:05:20] Yeah it looks like everybody from Survivor is here. We're going through, if you're not

[00:05:25] watching this we're going through a slideshow from Omer's social media and it looks like you got

[00:05:31] the gangs all there. I think I saw Franny, I saw Omer, we saw there's a Carson sighting this

[00:05:39] soon. I see people tagged in posts. Is that Tori's galley? That is Tori with Mary Ann.

[00:05:53] Looks like everyone looking at the eclipse.

[00:06:16] All right. There's a beautiful clip of Mary Ann and her husband they're dancing and walking down the aisle.

[00:06:23] Yeah, I got a little FOMO y'all. I'm not gonna lie. Thanks Jill. So everybody was there for the

[00:06:30] wedding it seems but scali I wouldn't be shocked if people just went to go see the eclipse because

[00:06:34] those were good views of the moon. I saw more of the eclipse than I did the actual wedding.

[00:06:39] Yeah a lot of people are already on their way up there so you may as well stop by Mary Ann's wedding

[00:06:43] while you're there why not. I love that Mary Ann plans so well that it's like hmm what year is

[00:06:49] there going to be an eclipse? Like let's get that thing on the like scheduled for my wedding

[00:06:54] because you know what I probably found out about a week ago so the foresight immaculate.

[00:07:00] Yeah I think the eclipse all the the hype around the eclipse just somehow it just missed me

[00:07:06] maybe I was too influenced by Mary Ann's wedding like I completely forgot about the

[00:07:09] eclipse but everybody else they had the glasses and everything Maggie.

[00:07:12] Yeah everybody was ready I mean I am like I was super under prepared I'm very happy I work at a

[00:07:18] museum and they had some glasses available otherwise I would have been you know try I would

[00:07:24] have been not able to go outside because I would have been too tempted to look at the sun

[00:07:28] you know but the thing is like Mary Ann looked so beautiful she's so radiant in her wedding

[00:07:33] dress I'm like you need some glasses to look at her too she's shining so beautiful.

[00:07:39] Yeah I would have loved to get some glasses as well maybe you just go to the wedding to get

[00:07:44] the glasses so that you can experience the eclipse because I'm assuming they gave them out

[00:07:48] for free it's like it takes a lot of planning to pull off something like this Mary Ann made an

[00:07:52] eclipse happen just so her wedding would be perfect and I mean she she's my survivor winner

[00:07:58] of the new era so I mean I'm not shocked at all Scali.

[00:08:01] Yeah I love that it's you go to either the library 7-11 or Mary Ann's wedding to get your

[00:08:12] It's some great views from that wedding but y'all we have to talk about survivor here

[00:08:19] survivor 46 Maggie we have not heard you weigh in on this season there's been a lot of

[00:08:24] craziness this season and we've been happy to talk about it on Club Cado but why don't you give us

[00:08:29] catch us up on the Maggie viewing experience how have you been enjoying survivor 46?

[00:08:34] I don't know if I want the smoke Chappelle.

[00:08:39] I miss Bono too it's fine I'm sorry but Maggie what's up?

[00:08:46] This season has been it's been long it's been six episodes and it feels like it's been

[00:08:54] so many hours that we've been watching this season am I wrong like I don't I'm not trying to get a

[00:09:01] bunch of survivors from this season tweeting at me but they will that's why I'm saying I'm not

[00:09:08] here for the smoke but it's it's been a lot of survivor a lot of backstory a lot of tears you

[00:09:17] know and I have to say when I watch survivor and anyone cries at all I'm like exactly period

[00:09:25] that's all I would be doing out there is crying and throwing up and wanting like I'm and be like

[00:09:29] take me home you know but it's just been I feel like hopefully now with this merge we're going

[00:09:36] to get some more gameplay but I really do feel and maybe it's not the the players fault

[00:09:42] at this point it's just like the rut of these this three tribe format and I feel like editing wise

[00:09:50] we're not really watching them talk to each other that much like my roommate Lincoln and I have

[00:09:55] talked a lot about this like when you watch the old seasons of survivor you're watching

[00:10:00] them have conversations I feel like now we watch like 20 seconds of conversation and then here

[00:10:07] confessionals where they describe what happened in the conversation and I'm like no I would like

[00:10:12] to watch them actually talk about this you know mm-hmm oh no that's interesting I haven't really

[00:10:19] thought about it that way but yeah we get a lot of like cutaways a lot of people talking about

[00:10:23] things and then we even get the flashbacks you know where they're showing their backstory but

[00:10:27] I'm like remember when they used to just sit around and just say things you know it's like

[00:10:31] we really don't get that I mean when we do scally it's 20 minutes of Taylor Swift content

[00:10:36] yeah that is the thing because I've been sitting here and I'm like I like this cast like I really

[00:10:40] like a lot of people on it there are so many people that I have connected with but I was like

[00:10:43] why is it not clicking for everyone quite to the same degree and I think that Maggie made a really

[00:10:47] good point I think that letting the conversations just breathe a little more rather than like the

[00:10:52] splice cutting would be really helpful because there are fun people on this cast yeah I mean

[00:10:59] you hear us 46 we love this cast we love y'all thank y'all like oh my god like please please yes yes

[00:11:06] we love you we love you we love you I just want to hear you talk to each other more

[00:11:10] yes we love y'all scally they're like the x-men they jump people every time

[00:11:15] but honestly I do think I do think it's like as somebody who watches these shows and like I really

[00:11:21] like it when a cast gets along like I really prefer it like BB 23 is like the best big brother cast

[00:11:27] in terms of just like they're all still to this day like really good friends and hang out all the time

[00:11:32] like I really prefer that over the cast where there's like a ton of mess on Twitter and stuff after

[00:11:38] and social media and I do think that the coordinated uh like cast come together against

[00:11:44] people they deem enemies is a sign that like there's a group chat that they're all in where

[00:11:49] they where they're chatting and you know plotting maybe yeah I do wonder if everyone's in that

[00:11:53] group chat there might be side group chats is my little concern there yeah I could see it I

[00:12:04] a little drama there's a little drama out there there's drama out there somewhere Maggie

[00:12:08] like I said I'm not here for the smoke I'm just trying I will talk about what's on the screen

[00:12:13] and what I've seen with my own two eyes you know okay so let's get into some of the niceness of

[00:12:19] these uh survivor players let's talk about the episode it starts off with um Mariah who voted

[00:12:25] incorrectly last round you all she uh voted for Ben uh we saw that she was the only one on the

[00:12:32] wrong side of the vote and then she had a very intense meeting with HR um they were like you

[00:12:36] know Mariah whether you wrote my name down or you know did Robin it doesn't matter we still care

[00:12:42] about you you're valuable in this tribe it was like she got to like a pip or something

[00:12:46] like that Maggie like okay here's the good things you're good at yes we we're reprimanding you but

[00:12:53] you're still a part of this family it felt very professional mm-hmm yeah very much like the

[00:12:59] compliment sandwich or like you know it's it's it's very like she very much was lulled into

[00:13:06] that sense of like okay well we'll still be a tribe and I heard on the know it all's Rob

[00:13:11] talking about how he felt like she really did play it correctly and I saw his point but I also

[00:13:20] I don't know I I don't know I've been going back and forth with it the whole time like what I would

[00:13:26] have done if I was in that scenario and I think perhaps what I would have done is try and find

[00:13:32] somebody who I could tell was really really integrated on the other tribes and give them

[00:13:36] the trity like and be like I'm only really telling you this like I really like you

[00:13:42] I got pushed out of the vote last time I'm feeling horrible will you help me you know

[00:13:47] like I'm feeling pretty bad because that's a way to stroke somebody's eats and that's the problem

[00:13:53] right is that when you don't know what's been going on in these other tribes it's not like

[00:13:56] you can just easily come in and be like obviously they have the most power but I do think that

[00:14:01] there's obviously people who are social who you know like somebody like Tevin I feel like I would

[00:14:06] be able to come in and just be like we need to talk here help me and that's a great way to you

[00:14:12] know stroke somebody's ego make them think that they have you and also sort of lay the groundwork

[00:14:19] to be like it's not all it's not all great I can't put my faith in these people because

[00:14:23] they just stabbed me in the back last time right scaly did Mariah even have a place to

[00:14:28] land I mean you go if Mariah goes to these tribates it says listen I'm a number for you

[00:14:33] and then they look around and say well Liz is here we already got a Mariah and she's got money

[00:14:38] we got Mariah at home she can do more for us after the season we that's the problem is I think

[00:14:44] that normally the way of let's say like a Venus where you go in and are just like let me throw

[00:14:51] everything to the wind I want to take my 1% screw that my winner chances of 1% let me go ahead

[00:14:56] and like try to you know roll the dice and end up with a much larger piece of that pie but in the

[00:15:03] new era it is currently seeming like it is just like get through the mergetory get through like

[00:15:08] one or two votes and then that's where you try so I see why Mariah played it the way that she did

[00:15:13] yeah you brought up okay and oh yeah go ahead Maggie no I just

[00:15:20] just having trouble here with people being like well in the new era this is how you have to

[00:15:24] play it because I'm sorry in the early versions of survivor people came in and they're like well

[00:15:31] this is survivor this is just how you have to play it and then people were like no and made

[00:15:36] a brand new strategy and moved the game forward like I don't know that the right thing to do is

[00:15:43] go in and be like well this is just the way it is now because of the game conventions and like

[00:15:49] the whole point and the players that we really like to see are adaptable and creative like be creative

[00:15:56] in these situations and yes in the seasons like 41 and 42 it was so brand new that people had no idea

[00:16:04] what to expect and that's also I think why we saw people get really like a lot more creative in

[00:16:09] those seasons than in seasons like the more recent ones but like I would have loved to

[00:16:16] have seen Mariah come in and be like okay this is my plan I'm going to stay with them like yes

[00:16:21] kumbaya amazing and then I'm going to get one person or like come up with something exciting

[00:16:27] and different like that's what every single Suri came in and Panama and did some you know

[00:16:33] every single person who were like they're an emergent game player came in and were adaptable

[00:16:38] and creative so I'm not sure that I really love the arguments of like I know in this

[00:16:43] version of Suri we have to do it this way because that's not true in any game ever you don't have

[00:16:50] to do anything anyway of course there are certain things that are more wise than other things but

[00:16:55] like I would really I think maybe that's what I'm missing right now in this season is like

[00:17:01] creativity from these people I feel like I've seen it all before like five times over at this

[00:17:07] point and I think maybe that's why I'm like it's been so like a long season I feel like

[00:17:12] I'm watching I'm watching the tika three happen on this purple tribe I'm watching you know what I mean

[00:17:17] I I'm waiting for something to surprise me and excite me yeah no that's that's real because yeah it's

[00:17:25] Mariah tried something that I think is pretty unconventional just to like I'll just be at

[00:17:30] the bottom and hope for the best like it's different for sure but uh it's not the most

[00:17:34] effective it's not different that's what every boot early boot of survivor does not that

[00:17:40] Mariah is an early boot like she almost went into the merge but if we're talking like old school

[00:17:45] survivor yeah that's back in the day like yeah like marquesis think of amazon like everybody who got

[00:17:53] voted out like their ally got voted out and they were left out of the vote was like please don't do

[00:17:58] that to me and people were like we won't do that to you know what I mean like exactly what

[00:18:02] happened to Mariah so I don't think that that's like that I think what she did at tribal

[00:18:09] was interesting and I would have loved to see her be a little braver and do that earlier

[00:18:15] but I I don't even know if braver is the correct term I sorry I feel like I've been ranting for so long

[00:18:23] no no I liked your point especially though Maggie where you said that like going to one person

[00:18:28] rather than this group because they feel like there was a lot of just people throwing ideas in

[00:18:31] this episode out in big group conversations where they would have been much better targeted

[00:18:35] like going to talk to one or two specific people because I think that often in a cast that plays

[00:18:40] really slow like the person who like takes off running is the one who's gonna do well and cast

[00:18:45] the plays really fast the one who lets everyone else crash into each other and like sits and waits

[00:18:49] for the pick up the pieces is gonna do well and I think often like somewhere in the middle is

[00:18:53] the right move and unfortunately it doesn't show on tv at least that mariah was like all right

[00:18:59] I'm going to publicly look like I am sitting back and like going along for the flow but let

[00:19:05] okay why isn't this like you know maybe Venus has a point maybe we should go for Charlie maybe

[00:19:08] we should do something else maybe I'm not at the top of my drive maybe I you know I think

[00:19:12] privately is where you need to start playing that game yeah and I think I also think that maybe

[00:19:17] this is just like my big brother brain shining through because it's always to me it's like

[00:19:21] if you are not in that big alliance figure out who runs it and make make yourself their

[00:19:28] indispensable side piece like they're not going to include you in the alliance like

[00:19:32] and that's done like okay Tyler Crispin I'm your Sam you know what I mean like that that is

[00:19:38] what you have to do and so it's it's so hard being out there for maybe two hours after this

[00:19:44] mergetory like challenge and all that like I'm not saying that it's an easy task look we all

[00:19:51] know I would not do well on survivor for a singular day but um like I I do think that

[00:19:58] that there's survivor sometimes the thing about survivor is that conventionally

[00:20:08] it doesn't really reward the people who stick their neck out it rewards the people who play

[00:20:14] like a Sandra game you know sort of like they it doesn't reward the Machiavellian gameplay

[00:20:18] it it awards more passive gameplay and you can still be passive and active if you are shoving

[00:20:27] somebody else in front of you and being like take all the bullets for me like please and I think that

[00:20:32] if Mariah had just found like gone to hunt her or gone to Tevin or even gone to Q like Q at this

[00:20:37] point is running things it looks like I think that if she had found a way in in in that sense

[00:20:43] maybe that could have been better I don't know well I'm glad you bring that up because

[00:20:48] I felt like Mariah did try and she had some obstacles let's talk about the Q thing now

[00:20:54] this was a hot topic of course because uh we see Mariah talking to Q and they're having a discussion

[00:21:01] about their favorite survivor players from the past now we see that in her exit interviews Mariah

[00:21:07] says that Q was talking about his survivor player and his favorite player of the past was

[00:21:11] Jeremy Collins and so Mariah felt like hey if I throw out a non-winner that I could like relate

[00:21:18] to kind of like personally that should be fine but she threw out Aubrey and this seemingly just

[00:21:24] closes the door in her face when it comes to being able to work with Q because he doesn't

[00:21:29] like that he says Aubrey's setting people up left and right. Scottie what's the right answer

[00:21:32] here? What are you supposed to say in this moment? I mean this is so hard because I would love

[00:21:36] to say Natalie Cole but I don't think they're gonna have any understanding of who that

[00:21:39] reference is. Scottie can I have your jacket? Can I have your jacket?

[00:21:43] Yeah. Like you want to go for that big character that they're gonna remember I've seen a lot of

[00:21:49] people throwing out an idea of maybe a coach the problem is do people now like know who

[00:21:54] coach is that we're benching the series that is kind of another concern of like wow they

[00:21:58] know players I've never even heard of is another concern. I think that also and again

[00:22:05] like I'm I really don't blame Mariah for this she had known Q for about 16 seconds

[00:22:10] but like I think that when you're talking to somebody and if this is the situation where

[00:22:17] you know you want to be truthful you want to bond but if it's somebody who you feel like

[00:22:21] maybe has a lot of social capital and like you want to suck up to them maybe the answer is like

[00:22:28] read that he said Jeremy Collins and be like you know I really love Natalie she's my favorite

[00:22:36] like they were you know how they were in lockstep like I think that that's sort of the move is whoever

[00:22:42] your the person that you're talking to whoever they say that their favorite player was you just

[00:22:48] happen to say they're closest ally or like dear friend like you like Denise that's so crazy I

[00:22:54] like Malcolm oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh I love Amanda Kimmel that's so crazy

[00:26:58] and I do think that if I was on Liz's tribe I would believe it if she was like my favorites

[00:27:03] are coach and Phillip I would be like that tracks. Yeah that's a good one I wonder if it gets too

[00:27:08] cute though where you say it's coach and Phillip and they're like all right because

[00:27:12] I liked Phillip and I liked coach. Are they anybody's favorite survivor player like really?

[00:35:00] y'all's take sodom but I have to know Maggie we started with here's the trophy oh she snatched

[00:35:06] the trophy from me we've now got to merge it or and they are not working together what's going on

[00:35:12] shepal I'm gonna be honest if I was on survivor there could be clips of me

[00:35:19] throwing up rolling around in the mud falling flat on my face breaking every bone in my body

[00:35:28] like there could be a full confessional of me talking about aqua dumping and I still don't

[00:35:34] think I would be as mortified as if there were those clips of me snatching that idol

[00:35:42] that was primal you know that was like give it to me it is my like oh my gosh watching those clips I

[00:35:57] wait to hear what she has to say about it after the season because like I mean that

[00:36:02] that's going to be the reaction image that I have for this season it's that you know what I

[00:36:07] mean like it's so good and also it really makes you be like yeah Venus I get it you know because

[00:36:15] that's crazy that is absolutely wild um oh it's so it's so good it's honestly like I said it's so

[00:36:27] good that it's like a little mortifying to me like I'm a little bit like oh no this is like real

[00:36:33] that's bad this is one hell of a jiff I'm obsessed with it um

[00:36:39] population of every single week I was really hoping and like not because I think it's you know

[00:36:45] funny or because I want it to happen to Venus I just think it is so absurd like I want Venus to

[00:36:49] win individual immunity and so does like all right let's pass that around give it to me we're

[00:36:55] passing that thing around Jeff knows to put it on her neck and just somebody's just like I got it Jeff it's fine

[00:37:07] but like it's so funny that's that's what it is it's the lowest stakes drama like because it really

[00:37:34] am saying like I don't put it past myself to be sleep deprived so excited that I won

[00:37:55] but so like not good so dramatic my little observation on a full stomach and 18 hours of

[00:38:03] sleep is still really bad so I'm not picking up on any social cues that's why the game is not for me

[00:38:14] my facial awareness is just not there I think that I would just be like there it is idle one

[00:38:20] yay you know yeah I cannot judge these people at all because I am clumsy I'm also annoying and I know

[00:38:26] this about me and so if you put me on television and take away all the things that make me tolerable

[00:38:32] oh I'm a monster I'm your next villain it's me I'm the drama that's exactly what I say

[00:38:37] about survivor and that's why I'm always like cry on tv I'm not gonna fault anybody for crying

[00:38:42] you're starving when I haven't had lunch I could I start crying by 4 p.m because I'm like I'm

[00:38:46] just so hungry you know like I do what you gotta do but oh man it's it's juicy that one's juicy

[00:38:54] yeah I just felt like it was a communication breakdown but sadly uh I think Venus did not

[00:38:59] we saw Venus fighting for her life in this episode I mean it was really it seemed like

[00:39:03] a coin toss between Venus and Mariah that just worked out in Venus's favor

[00:39:09] but Venus then took to twitter and uh the tweets have now been deleted y'all conveniently

[00:39:15] but scaly I know you've seen the tweets scaly uh so please I'm not even gonna ask

[00:39:22] but if you could just give us to the TLDR please of what Venus had to say about all of this

[00:39:27] oh my god there's been a lot like which all of this is the thing

[00:39:34] Venus was you know not really thrilled with how this went for her and I think that we see that

[00:39:40] in the edit obviously she's frustrated because usually people on the bottom would be picked

[00:39:44] up from another alliance and instead she is like kept there and so it is talked about how

[00:39:48] it was super frustrating and like maybe people just don't like a strong woman because other players

[00:39:54] maybe have gotten to do interviews and uh it was a whole lot of mess with Venus uh but it was good mess

[00:40:01] yes um she had a lot to say I mean there was a good tweet thread and like I wasn't even tapped

[00:40:07] in I was not paying attention and then people were like no you have to see Venus she's on there

[00:40:13] Venus is a perfect reality tv player so far like when you want reality tv casting you want

[00:40:20] Venus you want someone who's gonna say the things they're gonna go to twitter with the things as well

[00:40:25] and my favorite thing about Venus Maggie is that her confessional sounds like Venus has this all

[00:40:29] wrapped up she's gonna win the game she's like oh no wait until you see what I have in store for

[00:40:34] you at the merge I'm like yes Venus show us show us yeah I mean I look I completely agree with you

[00:40:43] she is perfect reality tv casting she's amazing I want to see her on every single show I love her

[00:41:10] have listened to you but the whole point of these shows is to be fake as hell while you're talking

[00:41:21] toe and then we will be like queen queen queen queen but you can't come back when everybody's

[00:41:25] all excited and be like no one's celebrate we have to talk about my toe like you know you got

[00:41:32] obviously that is a gross exaggeration of what happened but like if I'm wanting her success in

[00:41:38] the game I'm saying Venus put on that smile and fake it but if I'm wanting my entertainment I'm

[00:41:45] saying keep going Venus do exactly what you're doing don't change a singular thing

[00:44:50] I volunteered a host of 46 finale reunion online Jerry Springer who's in and we even get a response

[00:44:56] from somebody it's a rumor billionaire Liz Wilcox who says tell me when and where I got things to say

[00:45:02] Skyline starting to think Liz is a little under edited what what's Liz got to say about all of this

[00:45:08] that's what I was gonna say I was like put some Liz confessionals in there like who do we have

[00:45:12] to vote out to get Liz on screen because I want to hear what she has to say we voted on

[00:45:18] my right last week Kelly I'm surprised that she didn't say tell me when and where Liz has things

[00:45:24] to say yes but this woman makes plenty of money okay she didn't even thin this tweet I guarantee you

[00:45:33] with some type of admin she does not waste her time with her fingers she pays people to do this

[00:45:39] but I would love to see you know we don't really get our reunions anymore that's not fun

[00:45:45] um and I know and I think this season might be why I think this season kind of will encapsulate

[00:45:51] what it looks like when you have a survivor season that's very contentious and then we also add an

[00:45:57] additional two hour special where they've gone back and watched all the horrible things they said

[00:46:00] about each other Maggie um I feel like this 46 reunion would go down in history as one of the

[00:46:06] best survivor reunions personally well this cast is very like the the feelings are strong

[00:46:12] with this cast like that's one thing you can say about this cast like they got some feelings

[00:46:17] that they feel about things they they've got opinions and they've got things to say um so

[00:46:27] yeah I mean I think it would be messy I think that I would be

[00:46:31] watching through my hands like this you know I would be so nervous the whole time

[00:46:38] but yeah I I'm fascinated after the season's over I can't wait to hear some of these exit

[00:46:43] interviews that's that's what I'm most intrigued by yes uh Scali survivor all-stars part two right

[00:46:57] all of the like different social media presences uh and reactions that we could have had to this

[00:47:02] reunion could have been so fun I think this cast would have brought it yeah no this would have

[00:47:07] been quality tv content but we don't get it we don't they taken the reunions from us and as much as

[00:47:13] I would love a little a little extra episode of drama I hate to say that they're they're probably

[00:47:20] right to do it you know like it's it's probably there's nothing really good comes from the

[00:47:24] reunion it's I I have to confess that you know my viewing experience of survivor

[00:47:32] is I started season one watched all the way in order through season 20 and never once did I sit

[00:47:41] through the entirety of a survivor reunion? I would find out who won I would find out who won

[00:47:50] and be shocked every time because I wasn't completely unspoiled for all of survivor basically

[00:47:56] I would find out who won be shocked and then want to talk about it so I'd start talking about it

[00:48:02] and talk through half the reunion. Maggie this is egregious uh Scali she might have missed Kat

[00:48:07] Edison telling us all that she got implants yes there's so many things that need to be talked

[00:55:29] still justice in Fiji for Michelle she she is the girl who I think got twist screwed the hardest

[00:55:37] only to be met by her predecessor Suri fields but like I mean she got put on a tribe with none of

[00:55:44] her allies and got voted out but like that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes and I think that

[00:55:48] they should absolutely if they're gonna do this twist like why don't you just make it two tribes

[00:55:54] you know it does feel like almost like a tribe swap going wrong you know because they do yeah

[00:56:01] mix them up they have a competition and then they send them all the tribal council to pick on

[00:56:05] the people who weren't strong enough to beat them but then everybody gets to vote which is the

[00:56:10] that is the key issue here like if you split them up into two tribes and just the losers vote

[00:56:15] amongst themselves and I do think like in that situation Charlie might have been in trouble

[00:56:20] yeah yeah no Venus was pushing for Charlie to go home and because she felt like a man needed to

[00:56:26] go home in that spot and honestly Venus was playing very hard I could see where Venus was going

[00:56:32] she's like well if we allow them to just pick us off we're gonna get picked off so yeah I think

[00:56:36] it would have been bad for Charlie had they actually done a typical swap situation and this

[00:56:41] is just where they landed but this is merge atory scaly this person doesn't even get to make the

[00:56:45] jury oh which is so brutal I mean if Venus goes here and she's not at that little like reunion show

[01:26:51] have him like relaying any of that information and like I'm annoyed that if it's going to be

[01:26:55] shown in a flashback in a separate episode and Maria is also like I don't know what's

[01:26:58] going on here like why is this happening so the footage did not exist was the real answer

[01:28:17] but where does she go we shall see I think in future episodes maybe Maria will be somebody

[01:28:22] like a force to be reckoned with she has Charlie I think that there's a good path to victory here

[01:28:28] for Maria Maggie yeah I do too I was going to say like a really easy person for her to pick up and

[01:28:34] sort of builds you know a resistance with Venus but Venus voted against Charlie like they're

[01:28:39] not going to want to work with her you know it's just uh yeah I would say that was lack of

[01:28:45] other options but they're about to go into a split tribal thing next week so we'll see how that

[01:28:49] goes to okay yeah because I have a really hard time picking the person who will go

[01:28:56] and it not be Venus like how does Venus survive this next round it there's to be something crazy

[01:29:01] that's going to happen for her to make it through this because both like everyone's going to

[01:29:05] tribal council there'll be limited options maybe we see Venus the challenge beast maybe

[01:29:10] that happens I would like to see that Maggie I me too why did Maria use both of her votes

[01:29:18] to vote out gem why and I'm sorry I do think Maria is a good game player a horrible move

[01:29:23] absolutely horrible move what was she thinking why would you do that with sand yeah like

[01:29:36] the new era okay they know that they do a merge Tory and then we split into two tribes

[01:29:41] that's when you save your extra vote when you might have be outnumbered on your tribe that's what you

[01:29:46] keep your extra vote for I'm so confused why did she do that and what so we just don't get to know

[01:29:50] why the editors never want to explain to us why I'm annoyed about that I would like to know

[01:29:54] why scally do you know why no clue and that's the problem yeah I like I get the perspective

[01:30:01] of like it can paint like a target on your back you're about to go into merge you want to

[01:30:04] get rid of it but like multiple other people already have them like you said there is a perfect

[01:30:08] opportunity for you to be using it where you could just throw it away then instead

[01:30:12] the hunt scaly did the hunter get his vote back after this because we saw that he didn't

[01:30:17] have a vote until he goes to like but now he's officially fulfilled the prophecy right

[01:30:23] he went to tribal council he didn't have a vote can he have it back now he got his vote

[01:30:28] back for that but he still had lost his vote for putting all the seasons in the

[01:30:31] completely wrong order so I think that was the issue of where he didn't have a vote

[01:30:36] so anything next round he'll be good

[01:30:38] question yeah I really have a big issue with them I don't mind them taking away people's votes

[01:30:44] that's annoying to me but fine what I do hate is them tying the vote to the shot in the dark

[01:30:49] like you taking away my vote and then not allowing me to play the shot in the dark

[01:30:56] to be able to play that when I have nothing else going for me and like we saw with bhanu

[01:31:06] times you can't even control whether or not you lose your vote because a random rock draw put you

[01:31:10] up gives a puzzle that you were never going to complete no matter how much time you got oh

[01:31:21] the game is a monster they we saw the puzzles this game is now starting to lean toward

[01:31:29] super fans you know giving them a little something something we saw a hunter really struggling to put

[01:31:35] these seasons in order mega as someone who watched the first 20 seasons in a row you see them you

[01:31:42] could do this right oh yes I could I well I was nervous when I saw them like I was nervous

[01:31:49] because it was just the emblem like the title pictures I was worried that it wasn't going to

[01:31:54] be labeled with like the name of this season and so that was making me a little nervous but then

[01:32:00] when I saw that like all of the names I could have easily done that I could have done that

[01:32:02] with my eyes closed I could probably do it now with my eyes closed I could probably name them all

[01:32:06] in order yeah I think it was also placing the the the logos as well as Gary but the

[01:32:12] logos typically pretty much tell you I'm sure it's right the name of the season on the logo

[01:32:16] right that's what I yeah because I tried out the name this week I was like I'm a little curious

[01:32:21] and it was not easy let me tell you that much um but I was like I think I could do mostly the

[01:32:27] boot orders based on like if you give me the names I might be able to put a lot of those in

[01:32:31] order I get a little lost like mid 30s because I didn't finish all of those seasons like I didn't

[01:32:38] watch healers hustlers I didn't watch that I didn't watch um um what's the other one the 35

[01:32:47] oh you didn't you didn't watch a window season you didn't watch a no I didn't I didn't so like I

[01:32:53] so there some of those I would I got a little confused but I do think that I would be able

[01:32:57] to put like knowing the order of the winners like heroes hustlers was before getting

[01:33:02] ghost island right that was 34 35 35 okay but I knew that so see I would be fine

[01:33:11] I'm just saying but we found out in Hunter's did a mid season interview with Dalton Ross

[01:33:18] recently which let me just talk about this since when do we allow the survivor players to do a

[01:33:24] whole ass interviews right in the middle of the season Maggie this is why we can't believe

[01:33:31] everything we see because this person is incentivized to lie to us right yeah I mean

[01:33:37] I don't think that while you're filming a show you should be able to do an interview with another

[01:33:42] news outlet like I don't know that I agree with this decision making by production and

[01:33:48] I'm not saying Dalton Ross is all of his articles are amazing he does so much for the community

[01:33:53] absolutely but like I don't know what's going on here with this this feels like a very

[01:33:57] interesting production decision it's wild I thought that they have like a a ban on this

[01:34:03] type of stuff scally well it's almost like maybe we could have shown it on the show

[01:34:11] if we thought it was so important we could have done it ourselves I don't know why now

[01:34:16] why hunter specifically because you're going to get a very different opinion from every single

[01:34:20] person on that tribe of exactly how it lays out so it is a very confusing decision

[01:34:26] for me at the very least scally is this a spoiler I don't think so

[01:34:33] Maggie is this hunter is the winner so we need to know what hunter start process is

[01:34:39] maybe no we don't like that please don't spoil the show for us by getting us interviews and

[01:34:45] inside information that's why we like our long form interviews that y'all used to let us have

[01:34:50] at the end of every season where we talked to the people so we didn't have to do this because

[01:34:54] now I'm starting to question everything hunter would be a good survivor winner Maggie

[01:35:01] yeah you sound underwhelmed yeah I mean like the guy who won 39 was a good survivor winner too

[01:35:10] it's just like you know I don't know I she seems like a really good guy I just I want

[01:35:18] like more excitement maybe like the thing that I really the thing about D that made me so excited

[01:35:23] and the thing that I really really liked about watching her path to victory is that D was a flawed

[01:35:28] player like she was not a perfect survivor player but she did something that was so good in what every

[01:35:37] winner needs to do which is she talked about herself with so much confidence that she made

[01:35:45] the other people around her think like oh she knows what she's doing at all times every

[01:35:50] decision that she makes is the right one because of how confident she was in her decision making

[01:35:54] and there were some moments where decisions could have gone one like one of two ways and

[01:35:59] the reason that she was able to wiggle out of them is because she spoke with such confidence

[01:36:03] and I really really loved that about her and it didn't feel false like it didn't it felt to me

[01:36:09] like gameplay that she would be like yeah no this is just what's going on and she was never

[01:36:14] really in the confessionals like I don't know if this is right but she was in the

[01:36:18] confessionals like yeah this is what I'm doing we'll see you know and I think that

[01:36:24] I just haven't gotten enough from Hunter to know that but also D really started heating up

[01:36:29] in the back half of the season you know like at this point I think all we had gotten from D was

[01:36:33] her toe so who knows yeah well that's the thing is and this is nothing like against Hunter

[01:36:41] like he seems awesome and like great personality very well equipped for survivor I have one

[01:36:46] percent more confidence than I did in the preseason that Hunter would be a great winner

[01:36:50] because Hunter has not yet voted yet like we'll see how it comes when Hunter starts playing the

[01:36:56] game of survivor like obviously he is you know ingratiated himself extremely well in the tribes

[01:37:00] and like all of the dynamics are like there but what does the rest of the season look like

[01:37:05] because that is a much bigger part of why I would say someone was a good or bad winner

[01:37:10] I do think it's a choice going to somebody who hasn't even voted yet and getting their

[01:37:14] takes on the mid season of of the show you know uh Jill if you can show me that yeah show me that

[01:37:20] interview one more time Jill and if you could scroll down to the bottom because then Hunter did

[01:37:25] give us a little insight it says finally you got eight out of 20 survivor logos in the correct

[01:37:31] chronological order explain yourself in short dollin Ross is asking Hunter what happened

[01:37:37] how did you mess this up scally hunter said he confused Micronesia for Keramoan now I just feel

[01:37:47] like the man should be booted from the show because of that I love confusing like early seasons of

[01:37:53] survivor where they're not in HD for a much bigger season I think that's one of the biggest

[01:37:58] giveaways that I thought was interesting if you don't know the exact order that's fine

[01:38:02] but it didn't look like things were just one off to me so uh look well that's the thing so

[01:38:09] Hunter says if you shift the order around if you put Keramoan uh where Micronesia is he got all

[01:38:15] the subsequent seasons I guess after Keramoan so he's like Keramoan and then he knew what came

[01:38:20] after Keramoan and then realized oh shit Micronesia would have been first but he knows

[01:38:25] the seasons that are after Micronesia so look he is on this diagram it says the correct answer

[01:38:29] was ABCD blah blah blah all the way to T F I M and T and so had he switched them all around

[01:38:37] they would have been fine roughly he would have probably gotten a few wrong as opposed to getting

[01:38:42] what was eight out of 20 because eight out of 20 is a big miss okay you're like I feel like

[01:38:49] if Delensky stuck around he would have won the game as well yeah here he is scally period

[01:40:49] little insight I don't know I think maybe maybe are these all people who won the sea of money I don't

[01:40:53] think Cody won the sea of money but carolin and emily probably definitely got a little something

[01:41:33] have been a great interviewee as well um I don't know about that I think that Venus as an

[01:41:40] interviewee would be electric but also Venus is going to spoil the season she's about to tell you

[01:41:46] exactly what's about to happen and why all these people are dumb and all the stuff because she is

[01:41:50] dying to talk about it the long-form interview we eventually get from Rob and yes I need that I

[01:41:56] need that soon I don't mean like a little hour the CBS a lot I mean if he has a way to year

[01:42:01] today you know today take their eyes off him a little bit and then give us a deep dive I need
