[00:01:15] Everybody was there.
[00:01:16] Everybody was talking about Club Condo.
[00:01:18] I didn't realize so many people love this podcast
[00:01:20] as much as I do.

[00:01:23] Yeah, it was so incredible to see everybody out there

[00:01:47] of the parts nobody else sees, you know,
[00:01:49] like Sam gets his flowers.
[00:01:51] Of course, you are obviously giving your flowers,
[00:01:52] but I like being behind the scenes
[00:01:54] and kind of just quietly entertaining people
[00:01:56] while the show is going on.
[00:01:58] Because for the Club Condo listeners
[00:01:59] who are not familiar with the way the RTP Live events go,
[00:02:03] we do a live viewing of Survivor.
[00:02:05] There's Survivor alumni and, you know,
[00:02:08] potential other people in crowd as well
[00:02:10] to watch the show with all these adoring fans.
[00:02:13] We had 900 some-eyed people in one place this time
[00:02:16] watching Survivor as a family.
[00:02:18] Then the commercials happened
[00:02:19] and there's almost nothing to do.
[00:02:20] So Rob has given me the opportunity to be the MC.
[00:02:23] I get to come up on stage.
[00:02:24] I talk to the crowd a little bit,
[00:02:26] talk about the episode
[00:02:27] and just kind of keep the party going.
[00:02:29] Very Club Condo-esque.
[00:02:30] So if you haven't been to a live event yet,
[00:02:32] what are you doing?
[00:02:33] You're missing out on all this prime Chappelle content,
[00:02:36] but obviously you're missing out on the event of the year
[00:02:39] because everyone's still talking
[00:02:40] about RTP Live in Chicago.
[00:02:41] Yeah, events went great
[00:02:44] and I really appreciate everybody being out there with us
[00:02:48] and so much fun to watch this episode
[00:02:50] with such a big crowd,
[00:02:51] so many great reactions to the challenge
[00:02:54] and all the different parts of the episode.
[00:02:57] To see, it was a little bit of a red wedding though
[00:02:59] of like the crowd was so excited to see Venus find the idol
[00:03:04] and then ultimately see Venus go home with the idol.
[00:03:09] Yeah, this was a tough one.
[00:03:10] Not gonna lie to you, this was tough,
[00:03:12] but I do hopefully we can take the listeners through
[00:03:17] kind of what we go through at these live events
[00:03:19] because I'm telling you,
[00:03:20] if you haven't been, you have to go
[00:03:22] because at the very least when something disastrous
[00:03:25] like Venus not playing her idol,
[00:03:26] well, Venus finding her idol nearly winning community,
[00:03:29] having seemingly a good idea
[00:03:32] about not mentioning her idol to somebody else
[00:03:35] and then just slowly watching the trainwreck
[00:03:38] start from start to finish.
[00:03:40] We were with a support group of fans.
[00:03:42] There were so many people there.
[00:03:44] I think I even saw Venus's parents there.
[00:03:46] It was a lot of people to kind of hoist each other up
[00:03:50] in these moments of just tragedy.
[00:03:52] And had Venus played the idol in that moment,
[00:03:55] the roof would have blown the hell off.
[00:03:59] Yeah, we would have blew the roof off that Mother Sucker
[00:04:02] on Mother's Day even or right around Mother's Day.
[00:04:05] But yes, it was a time and yeah,
[00:04:09] she didn't play the idol, but again,
[00:04:10] we got to lament as a family.
[00:04:12] I came out on the stage and all I could think was,
[00:04:15] damn, do y'all listen to the club,
[00:04:16] Kondo how many times you have to say this?
[00:04:18] Play your damn idol.
[00:04:19] There's four days left in the game.
[00:04:21] Just play it, what do you want on to it for?

[00:04:29] I feel like it would be poetic if it is.

[00:05:19] She's going to save it into the right moment.

[00:05:39] and the idol was once again,
[00:05:42] the reward selection that came up in this episode
[00:05:45] back to back after we just got done talking about Q and Liz.
[00:05:50] And they even started the episode with...
[00:05:52] Ah, bitch!
[00:05:54] And we had another very tense reward selection
[00:05:59] with Maria winning the reward.
[00:06:02] This is what we're talking about
[00:06:04] when we say come to these live events
[00:06:06] because if you think it was funny watching it at home,
[00:06:08] if you thought it was cringe worthy,
[00:06:10] if you were on the edge of your seat thinking,
[00:06:11] what is Maria gonna do?
[00:06:12] Imagine how it felt in that packed house of people.
[00:06:15] I'm backstage kind of watching it.
[00:06:18] I think you're Rob, you already kind of knew what was coming
[00:06:20] but I was sitting there like,
[00:06:22] Maria's not gonna do this, right?
[00:06:24] Like she's definitely gonna pick Liz
[00:06:27] because as we all know, Liz was pissed.
[00:06:29] So why would she not pick her?
[00:06:31] She says I'm gonna pick somebody who obviously needs
[00:06:33] a reward, someone who's withering away.
[00:06:35] I'm like, well, that nice rich lady over there.
[00:06:38] I know she looks healthy,
[00:06:39] but honestly, she's starving.
[00:06:43] So she's the obvious choice.
[00:06:45] But then we see Maria kind of slowly dragging this thing out.
[00:06:51] It's the point where Jeff is saying,
[00:06:52] this is the longest delivery we've ever had.
[00:06:54] I don't mean that negatively.
[00:06:56] It's just-
[00:06:57] Right, I'm just, an observation.
[00:06:58] It's been 10 minutes and we're still sitting here
[00:07:00] waiting on you to say who's going to eat
[00:07:03] some food with you.
[00:07:03] It's not that big of a deal,
[00:07:05] but for Maria it was such a big of a deal
[00:07:07] and for us, she did the funniest thing possible
[00:07:10] and she made it even funnier.
[00:07:12] Because not only did she not pick Liz,
[00:07:14] she made Liz beg for it
[00:07:16] and then she watched Liz lose a game of rock paper scissors.
[00:07:19] Okay, well, Chappelle, let's start off with,
[00:07:22] okay, everybody make your case Maria started with
[00:07:26] and Q said, okay, I would like to eat.
[00:07:31] This was Liz's case.
[00:07:32] Tell me how did Liz do?
[00:07:34] I mean, I still haven't pooped in three weeks.
[00:07:37] So I'd like something to get moving.
[00:07:42] Okay, it's cute.
[00:07:43] It really is because it's like,
[00:07:45] hey, let me highlight this idea that
[00:07:48] you know I haven't eaten.
[00:07:49] I haven't eaten so much to where my body
[00:07:52] is not performing its natural duties based on,
[00:07:54] you know, the amount of food I'm bringing again.
[00:07:56] We all know this.
[00:07:57] We were here roughly 17 hours ago
[00:08:00] when I was yelling about being pissed at this whole thing.
[00:08:02] Like, you know it.
[00:08:04] She's pissed.
[00:08:05] I shouldn't have to.
[00:08:06] Not pooped.
[00:08:06] Yeah, she's pissed and that's it.
[00:08:08] That's all she's done, you know?
[00:08:10] And so she's like, hey,
[00:08:11] you automatically know these things about me.
[00:08:13] I don't have to drive this home.

[00:08:16] just put a little exclamation point on it by saying,
[00:08:19] everybody else is managing to at least
[00:08:22] perform normal bodily functions
[00:08:24] for somebody on Survivor and I am not able to.
[00:08:27] She felt like that should do it.
[00:08:29] Soft sale but also it brings the point home.
[00:08:32] Yeah.
[00:08:33] You know who this would have worked on?
[00:08:34] Tim, this argument?
[00:08:37] This would have hit home with Tim.
[00:08:39] Tim would have been like, tell me about it, you know?

[00:08:43] But it doesn't work on Maria.
[00:08:46] And like looking back,
[00:08:48] I think if Liz could have it back,
[00:08:49] she looks dead at Maria and says, Maria, I have not eaten.
[00:08:52] I had a nervous breakdown last week
[00:08:54] when I didn't get chosen for that reward.
[00:08:56] I was pissed then.
[00:08:57] If you think I'm not going to be pissed now,

[00:10:03] They know that the final tribal council is in roughly four days

[00:12:42] and all she gets to do is sit around and count all her millions
[00:12:45] and millions of dollars and say, I made my cast mates disappear.

[00:12:50] You know, Liz, you only got to stick this out for a roughly a business week left,
[00:12:54] you know, and then at that point you got it.

[00:15:52] she wouldn't spit any hyper-allergenic water and tariff, you know,
[00:15:56] say like that I think that just give Liz a chance to cook.

[00:18:46] that Q when he like has food is a different guy than Q who doesn't.

[00:18:57] Let's be like, and then after that, then it sort of like went back down.
[00:19:01] And now he had that Applebee's and now he had 23 slices of pizza.
[00:19:04] And now look how happy he is.

[00:19:09] I think that he's enjoying eating and I think that it is probably good for his morale.
[00:19:13] But if your goal here is to win survivor at some point
[00:19:16] and, you know, making Liz mad at Maria, that it's beneficial.
[00:19:20] But kind of making Liz happy with you after last episode
[00:19:23] probably wouldn't hurt too much.
