And I got this shirt at a concert last night and then watched the episode after. And I think it's sort of an appropriate homage to Oscar with his camo, his infamous camo tee. So, yeah. Well, Jack, we do have a special guest. Do you want to do the honor?

[00:05:56] Yeah, yeah. You know, joining us this week, Wendell might be on spring break, but we got a good personal friend of mine and Bryce's, friend of the podcast. We've been trying to make this happen for a while. From Survivor 49, Jawan Pitts, baby. Welcome to the podcast. What is popping? And not to lie, this is kind of like a bucket list thing for me.

[00:06:23] So, you know, I know filling in for Wendy's, he's big shoes to fill, but I'm so glad to be here. This is long, long overdue. Clearly, you haven't watched Winners at War. Or the podcast. Or the podcast. Shut up. You can't defend himself. That's crazy. And Jawan, just to, if I'm not mistaken, before you, because we were buddies before you were on the show. Yeah.

[00:06:50] And you were a posse member even before you were on the show, right? Yeah. I don't know which episode. You can do the archive. I might have to check later. But you can see I was commenting back in the day before I was, you know, on the show. So, you know. Were you the one that was like, stop all the chatting and get into the episode? Probably. Oh, I love it, though. Well, Jawan. Full circle. First full circle.

[00:07:20] Full circle. It's an honor to have you, Jawan. I think watching you on season 49. Connecting with you. It's, you know, Jack always likes to point out you was his friend. But, you know, we, we as in Wendell and I, we met you before you went out on the island. We didn't know anything. Good vibes always. And how are you? How has life been since 49 and season 50?

[00:07:47] Like, I know personally, well, Jack and I both know because Jack was on Survivor as well. But sometimes as you get a little like, not PTSD, but sometimes like when a new season comes out, you kind of mourn your own season. So I'm just curious to know before we even get into all of the things of the things, like what is it been like since we've last seen you? Man, Bryce, this is why I love you, fam. That's such a good question.

[00:08:14] Life has been life in, but in the best way, you know, with me, it's so interesting. You know, I've been a Survivor fan way longer than I've been a Survivor alumni. So it's interesting being on this side of it. I know people have talked about in the past, just the roller coaster of like you're in casting and then you go on the show and then you can't talk about it. And then you watch it. And for 17 people, it kind of sucks because, you know, you didn't win.

[00:08:45] But now being on the other side of it, it's kind of I know you can relate. Being on the other side of it, it's kind of like beautiful in a way. Like it's hard, especially having like a sister season, like the season after you being a monumental, like top five season just by default because it's Survivor 50. And the weight of that, it's like a tug of war in my heart personally, where I'm like, dang, that should have been me.

[00:09:12] But then also as a fan, as someone that loves old school Survivor and like some of my favorite people like Ozzy and Sari. And like, I really can't be too mad. So I'm blessed, man. I'm blessed. And what have you thought of the season? What have you thought of season 50 overall so far? Yeah, I think as a editor, I've been really enjoying this season.

[00:09:39] I think, you know, back when they had like 60 minute episodes, we would have like, you know, these forced backstories, these forced kind of like flashbacks. But I do think as an editor watching the season, I feel like every flashback has been kind of it served a purpose and not to get too deep into it. But I'll say this season kind of reminds me of a weird like Ghost Islands 2. Like shout out to Wendeezy in a weird way.

[00:10:08] It's like less about the advantages, but like people, like we said, mourning their games. So I just love the theme. I think that was definitely prevalent in this episode with Sari, you know, for example, you know, talking about game changers and why she wants to flush idols. So I know we're going to get into the nitty gritty, but I've been enjoying it. I've been enjoying it. I love that. That's so great to hear. And we're so excited to have you here.

[00:10:35] And if you don't know, Posse, we've been trying to make this happen for a long time. Jack, every time in the group chat, we're like, who should we have on? Jack be like, Jawan. Just trying to make a shake. We'd be like, send a date. Jack, send a date. Jawan busy. We'd be like, all right, next week. Next week, we'd be like, Jack, who's the guy? Jack be like, Jawan. We'd be like, send a date. Jawan was working, you know, full-time job, nine to five. Nine to five. West Coast. Pacific time, which makes it tricky.

[00:11:06] But, you know, now Jawan's working for himself. So, and now we're here. And like, we're good. We're good. But I'm glad to be here. We've been dying to have you. And again, it's been such a great season. I was in Austin last night. And Austin, we had a huge turnout. We had a lot of the Posse members there. Shout out to Chelsea. Shout out to Tyler. Tyler is our guy. I don't know if you remember Tyler. That's my guy, yeah. He was like, where's Jackery?

[00:11:36] And so, it was just great. And there was so many of the Posse members being like, you and Jack is on fire this season. Y'all spitting it like it is. And I was telling them I always spit on it. So, it's like, I say what I say. And so, it is been. Wait, wait. I don't get it. Y'all don't spit on it. Y'all don't tell the truth. You know what? So, the Posse's been on us.

[00:12:06] And so, y'all said we were holding back because of our friends. And we don't say the truth. And so, this season, we've been spitting on it. And so, it was really good to hear. Just, you know, the Posse being like, where's Jack? And so, also, Ozzy was in New York City. And another great episode. And again, we are still on the road to 50. Bryce and Wynn.

[00:13:52] But, you know, can I talk about the story about when I first met you and Wendell? So, your boy come, I think this is season 42, right? Finale, LA. Your boy is maybe second year, first year in LA, really? And in South Jersey, I'm a Survivor fan. But there's not many of us like that, you know? There's not like a big community in South Jersey for Survivor.

[00:14:18] So, when I came out to LA, I think I saw on Reddit, I was like, wait, there's like watch parties for Survivor? Definitely from South Jersey, though. Oh, bet. Yeah, yeah, yeah. She's like Delaware area, right? I think so. Yeah. Yeah. You told me. She's done some fun party. Yeah, okay. Jack! I didn't know.

[00:14:41] But, basically, long story short, when I went to this finale party, and, you know, this was, things were still kind of like post, like, you know, COVID-y, you know? But, I think it was so cool. Like, I sat at this party right next to Davey, and as a super fan, I'm like, what? Like, I think that's what I love about Survivor. It's like, you know, we're not like these superstar celebrities. I mean, at least to me, but everyone was so kind. You were kind.

[00:15:11] Wendell was kind. And that moment really stuck with me. So, and this was like three years before I got on the show. So, I appreciate you, and I appreciate what you guys have built for our community. And it's really, I think, it's, you guys need more flowers. So, I just wanted to drop that here. We appreciate that, Jawan. Now, I do have a question. You said you met Davey. Yeah. I just need a yes or no. That's all. That's the response I need from you. Did he have a cape on?

[00:15:40] I don't think so. Okay, okay. I don't think he had a cape on. They all. Y'all out of pocket. You might know Davey. Davey pull up with the cape. And so, yeah. But you said that was season 41? 42. 42. So, Mary Ann's finale. Wow. Yeah. And Ozzy was there, which is crazy. I went up to Ozzy. Yeah. So, I thought it just was cool from like a fan like me.

[00:16:09] I'm like, dang, we could just chill and talk to these people. But I think that's how it should be, you know? Yeah. Mm-hmm. I just wanted to say. Yeah. No, listen. The only person that's Hollywood out of any of the reality people that I have met is Jack Atkins. And I say that to say only because during a finale, you might not be able to talk to Jack because Jack will be under a speaker. Well, that's because I'm such a fan. I'm locked in on the episode. I'm not better with that.

[00:16:39] I've gotten better with that. You might be crying. But yeah, Jack Atkins don't play. Jack, he'll find a speaker and be under it. Yeah. But yeah, I appreciate that. And again, we're so excited to have you, Juwan. But we got a lot to get into. It's a lot. Let's get into it. Let's do it. What you got? Because I got thoughts from left to right. Take it away, Bryce. [00:17:08] We'll leapfrog off of it. I mean, I don't know. I mean, you really want me to kick it off? Yeah, Bryce, go ahead. Hold on. Hold on. Uh-oh. Let me spin on it. Because listen. No. The thing that took me. Let's go to the challenge. Can we go to the challenge? Because I mean. Jeff said lane change. Everybody started fumbling.

[00:17:39] My queen Tiffany was up there. She was solid. She was good. Challenge over. Tiffany wins. And all of a sudden, I felt like I was at an NBA game. I felt like the referees paused it and was over on the bench reviewing the tapes. And I can't remember in my survivor history this ever happening. Shout out to the people that were in Austin that they said that something like this has happened.

[00:18:08] I believe it was with Lex. But it wasn't necessarily during an endurance challenge. And so, I don't know. For me, watching back the episode, I think after Tiffany celebrated and the moment that Jeff was like, Whoa, time out. The look on Tiffany's face. Right? Like, I felt like Tiffany was like, here go the bullshit. Here go the bullshit. Like, you can just see it on her face.

[00:18:36] And again, I respect it if they, we got five. Jeff is like, we always have these five judges. Bitch, when, is their name Billie Eilish? Because, like, when have we known that? You know, what this made me think about, look at 48. Didn't this happen to Joe when he did the little, and what's her name? Camilla.

[00:19:02] Didn't they have that thing where they, like, she put it down and Joe spelled it wrong. And then they gave, or he had a block missing and they gave it to Camilla. Right? Didn't they have to do that? I guess that was a little more in the moment. This was kind of like it. Tiffany celebrated. And then he was about to, like, put the thing on it. And he was like, nah, never mind. Sorry. And I thought Tiffany handled that way better than I would have. Like, she clapped for Joe. I would have been like, can I see the flashback? Let me show me the tape. I need to see the visual.

[00:19:32] So she handled that way better than me. Jeff said, do you trust me, Tiff? Tiff said, yes. I was like, in this climate? Two million dollars? I don't know if I'm going to take your word. Yeah. And I know we'll get into it. I'm so excited to talk about this episode. But I wonder if Tiffany wins this challenge, right? How does that affect anything?

[00:19:55] But based off the results, I'm like, I don't know if it does change anything based off the edit we saw. But I know we'll get into it. 100%. And that's why. No, look, as a fan and a friend of Tiff's, definitely was a bummer for them to, you know, pull that away. Well, Bryce, I will say, you know, they did show the tape to the audience. And she was on two feet for a hot second there.

[00:20:22] So I feel like she'd probably even, you know, say that. Oh. So let me ask you a question. Sure. Jack and Jawan. Y'all at the grocery store. Y'all buying bacon. You're buying milk. You're buying lubrication. And you're buying cheese. What's the baby oil for? We didn't say baby oil. But we can add baby oil to the list, right? Boop, boop, boop.

[00:20:51] You put everything on the counter. The person, boop. You pay your money. You get to the door. They say, let me see your receipt. They say, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. You ain't paying for that baby oil. You stealing. Uh, I gave everything to the lady. Well, if they said you were stealing, obviously.

[00:21:17] But say, if they were like, hey, we forgot to scan the, we got to be. Say it, the lube. They forgot to scan the lube. That's got a different connotation now. Uh, if they're like, hey, you forgot to scan the, we forgot to scan the lube. Can you come back and pay for it? Ain't your customer always right? I guess so. Like, yeah. You would have to pay for it. I mean, yeah. Like, that's how it works. It's my, it's my fault if y'all make a mistake. No, no. Not saying it's anyone.

[00:21:47] But don't say it's Tiff's fault. They just were like, hey, we missed it. You know? And I think it's about timing, too. If they waited to, like, tribal council to be like, yo, Tiff, I'm sorry. We looked at the tape. Let's get that back. That's a problem. You know? Yeah. They've already strategized. But they did catch it before they even left. You know? It'd be different. That's how I feel. For me, I'm just like, who's hosting Survivor? Is it Jeff Probst? Or is it Steve Harvey?

[00:22:14] Because for me, I'm like, is this Miss Universe all over again? Steve Harvey, straight bullet. Okay, yeah. If they catch that she was not on one foot. And they know that. Then what do you think they should do? Like, what's the. Because say it was Jonathan that was on two feet. And Tiffany was in Jonathan's shoes. And, like, was the next one that lasted that long on one foot.

[00:22:44] And they knew that Jonathan was on two feet. Wouldn't you be like, it should have been Tiffany. One of them five judges need to lose their job. Damn. I'm just saying. Is it a good job or a bad job? A bad job. Y'all, five of the judges, y'all got one job. They did it. They did their job. Yeah, I think that was a misplay on Jeff. He probably just. Yeah, Jeff. They stepped in and be like, yo. Yeah, I think that was a Jeff misplay.

[00:23:14] All right. So y'all might be right. But I'm just. For me. In Tiff's shoes, I would definitely be like. Damn. Because I also live by. In a competition. I sort of live by like. If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying. And so. Yeah. You get away with a couple extra seconds. And then you get caught after. It's like. I thought I got away with that one. You know what I mean? I mean. For me, I just had ran a lap. And rustic tap in Austin. Like Tiffany. Tiffany.

[00:23:44] When I got back around. Everybody was quiet. I said. I'm out of breath. What's happening? So. Again. I mean. You're right. Y'all are right. I'm. I'm mad. But. A rule is a rule. And. I just. I don't know. Just. I'm with you. I don't want to say nothing. It was unfortunate. For sure. And then. Curious. No. I'm just curious. How much pushback. She did get. That didn't make the edit. Because.

[00:24:14] I don't know. Yeah. Like I said. If I was in her shoes. I'm like. So what did I do wrong? Can y'all show me. Like what happened? But. Yeah. She handled it. Really good. Yeah. I think that's been. A great component of Tiffany's game. This whole season. Is when she has faced adversity. Whether it's with. A challenger. Or with a vote. Or whatever it might be. She'll. She moves very gracefully. And then in confessional. She'll let you know. But to everyone's face. She's like. It's cool. Don't worry.

[00:24:43] I think it's. You're lagging a little bit. Juwan. Sorry about that. So. Like I was saying. I was yapping about Tiffany. But. I've been so impressed. With her. Game positioning. And how she. Has been maneuvering. With being on the. Quote unquote. Bottom. And it's interesting. I think it's very telling. That the people that were.

[00:25:13] Targeting her. Or like. Were kind of afraid. To like. Put a vote on her. Like just because they like her. And I says a lot about her. Social game. They cool. Like. We're losing you again. Juwan. But I. I totally. You know. Yeah. We lost you a little bit there. Again. But I totally agree. Like. Even back to the. Like that split. That. The blood moon. When she was on the same tribe as Camilla.

[00:25:43] And they targeted. Camilla over her. Or. Again. When there was that. Split vote between her and D. And nobody wanted to vote. For Tiff. I thought it was. It was great. And. I mean. I thought we'll get more into it. But I thought Tiff had a great episode. This episode. Even despite. What happened with the challenge. And all that stuff. I just really like where her head was at. You know. And this challenge wraps up. And then we get the news. That it's a. They're split into these two groups. And Jonathan. Is going to swing between the two. Okay. You're.

[00:26:11] You were also not thrilled about that. Well. No. Again. When this happened. I felt like. I took on. The Jack Atkins persona. Of like. We 11 episodes in. Why the. Are we splitting up again? Like. What's happening here? So no. I wasn't mad at Jonathan's power. Again. I just was like. Why are we splitting up? Like. I don't. Like. Again. I. Don't get me started.

[00:26:41] The fan in me is like. Let's vote out two people. But let's. Let's do it all together. Like. You know. Like. Let's. Yeah. I agree. I've been hoping for that back to back. Yeah. The splitting up. I thought we were avoiding it this season. And they do the split up. And. To me. The thing about it is like. It's just. And we said this. I. This was my thoughts. Like the blood moon. For instance. You're just like limiting. Options. So now. At this point in the season.

[00:27:11] Half the tribals. We've had. I've been with five people. Because you have like. The pre-merge. And then you have. The blood moon. And then you have this. And we're going to obviously have another final five tribal at some point. And when one person's safe. When one person's safe. It's so clearly. Because. Like. There's only so many combinations. It's either like a. Three to two. Or it's like a four to one. Not even one person's safe. Jack. When one person's safe. And three people have idols. Also true. Also true. Yeah. No. Exactly. It just limits.

[00:27:40] I don't know what their obsession is with like. Limiting people's options. Dude. And as someone that experienced it. Like. It is kind of frustrating. Because. You know. You're on Survivor to make. Make big moves. But then there's this tug of war in your heart. Where like. Well. I just want to make it out. You know. So it can kind of. Limit. Gameplay. And one of my favorite parts of Survivor. Growing up. Is when you make it to the merge. It's a milestone. Milestone for a reason. It's a merge.

[00:28:08] It's everyone coming together now. It's a individual. You will gain. So when you split them up again. I'm sorry. That's a tribe swap. What are we doing? We just had that. You know. And then when you do that. Multiple times. You know. Like season after season. Like we've seen it. Like. If they did this every other season. Oh yeah. I'm cool with that. But to like. You know. Just make this a thing. Where like. I know this round is different. This season is different. Because they're trying to get rid of people.

[00:28:38] But yeah. Like you guys said. There's a solution for that. Do a double vote. All together. And that's. That's my. My soapbox. My soapbox. And I gotta. The other small thing too. Is like. I think. Like. Like the best moves. Typically. The best tribals. At least. From my. Perspective. Happen when there's these. Odd numbered. Tribals. And like. Like at a nine. Because. At nine. The numbers.

[00:29:08] It's when it's odd numbers. It's just. Things are more. In. Things are a little bit more delicate. Because usually. It only takes like. One person to flip. Whereas if you have an even number. You're either. Obviously going to be deadlocked. Which of course. Can make for some fireworks. But that rarely happens. Usually it just ends up in. Numbers. Going one way or the other. Or if you are trying to get people to flip. It doesn't make as much sense. Because. You'd rather just do that. With an odd number. You know what I mean? And so obviously. I mean. You know. These two tribals of five. Still odd numbers. Sure.

[00:29:38] But five is a little bit different. Because it's so small. But nine. I think historically. Is like a great. Like amount to have tribal with. You know what I mean? It's small enough. And it's late enough in the game. Where people start to make moves. It's not necessarily like a 13. Where you're like. Oh. Maybe this vote's going to be. Seven to six. It's like. Okay. If I'm in a group of three. But we can grab two people. You know. We can get out of this. And make a big play. And now we just lose out on all that. Can I say something? Yeah. Do you want to say it? Listen.

[00:30:08] We family. All right. I'm just going to make it. Cut Jack off. I'm going to make it plain. And nine is big Jack. I'm going to make it plain. Even though I just was like. Ragging on. How I hate the tribe swaps. And like. The split and everything up. Your boy really did like this episode though. I thought. Having them on the same beach. But having Jonathan go back and forth. And the stories kind of ping ponging. I think if that's the way it has to be.

[00:30:38] If we have to do the twist. I like it like this. And let it. Like the players know. This is going to be every nine. Like. All right. The final nine. One person. Like. As long as this is established. As a thing. Moving forward. Well you know. It's not going to be established. They're going to do some. Right. I hope it's not established. Yeah. Like. I agree with you. Because I thought it was fun storylines. Yeah. So re-trying to like. Like. The other. Yeah. And like. You know. It's like. Working together. But then separately. Yeah. But separately doing the whole thing. Yeah. It was cool.

[00:31:08] You're. You're right. Right. Where it's like. I. Again. For the first time. All season. We're 11. We're 11. 11 episodes in. And this is the first time. We see how close. Tiffany and Sari are. Yeah. Right. Like. We see that little. Kiki. Ha ha ha ha ha. But like. Black people. We know that. Right. Like. The way. Sari and Tiffany was talking. It's like. I don't need to say too much. But like. What they were saying. For me. Was like. Oh.

[00:31:38] They've been locked in all season. Right. Yeah. We know. They're good. This was just the first time. That we. We got to see the communication. Right. Where it's just like. The real life. Right. And they're not saying a lot. But they are saying a lot. And for me. I think the biggest thing was like. When both of them were talking. Then we got Tiffany. In her professional life. Well listen. Jonathan trying to target Ozzy. And.

[00:33:07] Are we. Are we in like. Like you know. Miss. Serena. Like. You know. Seeing. Those dynamics. And it's like. I don't know who to give credit to. Is it Jonathan? Or is it like. But the person that stays on the second. Longest. Is able to attend. The tribals. And vote. Because that throws a more.

Laying this all out to Aubrey. Like. Insane. Honestly. But. When it comes to not playing his idol. You have Rizzo. Who's like. Effectively your number two ally. And you have Joe. Who like. Doesn't lie. Who's telling you you're good. And. And obviously. He's had like an okay relationship with Jonathan.

[00:43:07] I totally see why Ozzy felt good in this situation. And I'll. Add to the fact that I think like. Even from Ozzy's shoes. If you're looking at just like. Good gameplay. I think it makes more sense. For Joe. And probably Rizzo. To keep Ozzy. So it like. From Ozzy's perspective. I would be very surprised they kept Aubrey. So what we were saying about Rizzo. I'm torn. Because. I think this is a good opportunity. For like Rizzo. To differentiate his game from Cerise. And like. Make a little bit of a move. And.

[00:43:37] Maybe move up in this. Like become Cerise number one. If he could play it off right. If he could just be like. Cerise like. Joe. And Aubrey. And Jonathan. We're all voting for him. It could be completely unselfish for the sake of this plan. It'd be like. Rick. You're playing the idol for you. So like.

[00:54:56] And that's how you get Rick to fully buy in. To be like. I'm creating this plan. That you have no risk involved in. In the best case scenario. It's going to really work a miracle for the two of us. But it. You know. If she goes to Rick. Be like. The plan is like. You should play the idol on me. Rick's going to be like. No. Yeah. But if you know that Rick's going to want to play the idol for himself. Then to be like. How do I. Somehow twist this narrative in a way that. Is going to make them think. That he'd play it for me. So that they vote for it.

Same with Stephanie. Yeah. I mean. They forced. Yeah. They had to. Forcing the rewrite Coach. And same thing I feel. With Stephanie. Kind of. He was just like. All right. It is what it is. But I do feel like. Sometimes. Not voting correctly. Can maybe help you in the future. In a weird way. Say if he didn't wrote. A coach. He didn't wrote Stephanie. If he gets to the end. He'd be like. You know. A lot of times. And maybe if you're. We're working with them. And happened to be on the wrong side of the numbers. But we're like with them. And the jurors might be like. Well they had the right idea. It just didn't work. Like they were thinking like I was thinking. And it didn't work out. And they were able to survive. Based off that. But obviously I think it depends what the jury values. Because. You know. Usually.

[01:19:43] Yeah. That's like the social component. There's one more thing I want to talk about too. I know we've been jumping everywhere. But this is so fun. I'm loving this. But I think the biggest thing for me. You know your boy's a little marshmallow. I'm a little soft. I'm a little. Am I. Am I looking good with the beard? Ha ha. Hey. Ha ha. You know. More South Jersey. Something light. Oh. But I think deep down. I watched Survivor for real conversation. So the moment.

[01:20:12] Probably my favorite moment of this episode was the Oscar and Rick Devins conversation. People that might have been at odds. Yeah. But to see them connect over the letters. To see them connect over grief. And being a father. And the lack of that. As for me. I'm like wow. I mean that's why I love Survivor. And I think he was so beautiful that Ozzy got another great flashback. When you see him at Final Tribal talking about how upset he was with his dad. But now after losing him. He feels like dang.

[01:20:42] I wish I kind of like. I wish I gave him more props. Because he was in a different country. And I just think that's when Survivor is running at its best. When we have real conversations like that. So vulnerability. I just love it. I love that as well. Juwan. I think just Oscar and his dad. I think that touched me. But I think the thing that brought me to tears. Because I'm a softie as well.

[01:21:10] I can cry at a drop of a dime. And again like we said. Rick Devins and Ozzy. They haven't really been working together. And again I think it's like. At times like this for me. This is when we say Survivor is a microcosm of the world. Where it's like we don't have to agree on everything. But there are some things that bring us together. And when Rick Devins. When Ozzy was sharing his story to Rick Devins. And when Rick Devins got emotional. And when Rick Devins said something to the effect of like. Me as a father.

[01:21:40] I will look at my son like this. And I know that that's how your dad. Like I was just like. Oh. Like that. Oh. That hit. And like you are absolutely right. That was like such a beautiful moment. And again. Full circle for Ozzy. Like although Ozzy didn't win. And sometimes Survivor. Although Jack says. You got to go out there to play to win. You're not playing to win a million dollars. What are you doing out there? But again I think that Wendell has said. In previous episodes.

[01:22:09] That Survivor 50 is about kind of like retiring some of our legends. And like we might not see them anymore on our screen. And also like propelling some of our new legends. And like even you brought up like Emily Flippin. And Jack like how she went out. Right? Like it begs to see her again. But I felt like with Ozzy. It was like a full circle moment. Where although you didn't win the million dollars. You came a complete full circle in your life. Like you've healed something in you. And that. That you can't put a price on that. And so.

[01:22:38] You are absolutely right about that Jawan. A hundred percent. No it did feel like sort of a great moment. That almost encapsulated his whole arc. From his time on Survivor. Because the way he spoke about it. It's like then you could like put. Even his time on Cook Islands in a perspective. In the way that he grew throughout it. And where he is now. They did such a good job in those like couple minutes of showing it. Of being like this explains so many things about Ozzy. That we never really had any idea about.

[01:23:08] And it kind of just put his whole journey. You know. Into a perspective. I'm just going to say it. This is a hot take. Clip this moment. Time stamp it. Okay. This might be. Jawan's. Favorite. Episode. Of. The season. Whoa. That's a big. I know that's big. I know we still got some. We got. I know we just had Mr. Beats. And then we have more episodes to go. But I just felt like the storytelling was so rich. And then Ozzy's goodbye.

[01:23:39] Devastating. Devastating. And. Yeah. Go ahead Bryce. Jump in. Jump in. I just was. Again. Because you know Jawan. I could get emotional. And I can get. I let. My body be a vessel. And. I think for me. The pivotal moment for Ozzy. Was. When like. Ozzy thought. He'd been playing this million dollar game. And he got to this beach.

[01:24:08] And like at this point. He put his landing gears down. And he was landing the plane. And he's trying to do all of this stuff. And it just reminds me of. People. And ourselves. Where it's like. We. Can grow out of bad traits. And like you know. We are involved. And we think like. We're good people. And like we're at a place in our life. Where we're like. We are good. And I think that the Ozzy story. For me. The way it touched me. Was like. We're ever evolving creatures. Like.

[01:24:38] We don't ever put the landing gear down. Because guess what. There are still places. We need to go. Even when we think. We have that million dollars. Like that was like. What I took away from Ozzy. And it was like. For me. Y'all know I love me some Oscar. And it's like. Ozzy. The million dollars. Ain't nothing to you my love. Like you got something better coming. But you had to get to this moment. That's like. And like. Oh. Jawad. I'm so happy you brought it here. We brought it here. Because we like. We joke so much. On Survivor News. And it's like.

[01:25:08] That was such a real moment. That I felt. Where it's just like. The pain. Yeah. Complacent. Or we're like. We think we're good. Or we think like. We're at the point of like. And it's like. No, no, no, no baby. Like. Yeah. There is no ceiling. It continues to evolve. I love that Bryce. And you know me. I love me some horror movies. But watching his goodbye. Felt like. A tragedy. Like. You know. A William Shakespeare. Tragedy. Because. They beautifully laid out. The dream he was having. He was like. Yo.

[01:25:38] I just had a dream. That I got voted out. With an idol. And this. Has happened to this man. Micronesia. Like. It's happened before. So. It's just kind of. Beautifully tragic. In a weird way. Like. He gets so close. Again. Arguably playing. The best game. He's ever. He's actually adapted himself. He's Oscar now. He's having a social game. He's playing in the middle. He doesn't need immunities. He has idols. And for him. To like. Kind of get like. A prophecy. That hey.

[01:26:08] It's gonna be you tonight. And then they. They beautifully have him. Talk about his dad. He connects with Rick Devins. And he was supposed to be the target. Like episode one. And two. Remember. Sari. And Ozzy were on the bottom. Against Rick. And like. Christian and them. So. To see him make it out of that. And fall into. Complacency. Again. It is beautiful. It is tragic. And this is why I like Survivor. You know. Yeah. And it's like. Comedy. Sort of.

It's not about the idol. Because if.

And see what happens. What if you're at nine. And your second closest ally. Is turning on you. And everybody but Sari. Really seems to want you out. Then. At that point. It's almost like. Let me see if I can get through this. Keep my idol. And. Use that to my. No. No. I'm not saying. That.

[01:28:36] Obviously knowing these things. You. You play the idol. Yeah. But it's like. The fact that he even had to play the idol. Like. If he had played the idol. As successfully. It's like. He still is sort of in trouble. Right. But that also brings up Rick Devins though. Rick Devins did it. Right. Right. And he's still in trouble. But at least Rick is on the beach. Rick is on the beach. You know. Obviously things can change where. Ozzy is a challenge beast. Whatever. It's so valid. But I do think it's. I mean. To the point of Rick Devins.

[01:29:05] The fact he had to do all these things. Kind of assign his game. Not in the best state. Obviously things can change. But. He played that way in his first season.
