[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm super excited to be back with my friends.

[00:02:52] [SPEAKER_06]: Let's welcome back to the podcast.

[00:02:54] [SPEAKER_06]: You may remember him from The Circle Season two.

[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_06]: Emily, Jack Atkins was popping.

[00:03:01] [SPEAKER_03]: And so good to be here.

[00:03:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I feel like I say it every season, but that first episode, that premiere episode gets those goop

[00:03:09] [SPEAKER_03]: slumps on you.

[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm just so excited to be back with my guys ready to break it down.

[00:03:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Life is just so much better when we got Survivor going on every week.

[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_03]: So I'm excited for the whole season in front of us and to talk about this first episode.

[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_06]: Yes.

[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_06]: The first episode is one that we definitely need to get into.

[00:03:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Let's welcome back the winner of Ghost Island, the first merged boot of winners at war.

[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_06]: And a little birdie is saying a host on the ABC reboot of Extreme Home Makeover.

[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_06]: Wendy Z Holland.

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_06]: What is popping?

[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_09]: What's going on, Perp?

[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_09]: What's up, Jack?

[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_09]: It's so good to be back with the boys.

[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_09]: We back.

[00:03:48] [SPEAKER_09]: You're right, Jack.

[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_09]: It feels good when Survivor season is on, like life is good.

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_09]: And I'm happy to be with the fellas again.

[00:03:57] [SPEAKER_06]: Yes, yes, yes.

[00:03:58] [SPEAKER_06]: And if Survivor is back, that can only mean that the BWP Tour 47 is back.

[00:04:05] [SPEAKER_06]: We kicked off in New York City this past Wednesday and it was so exciting to have New York with us.

[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_06]: New York was definitely a vibe.

[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_06]: Shout out to all of the Survivors.

[00:04:17] [SPEAKER_06]: Amazing Race, Big Brother, Squid Games.

[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_06]: The Buddy Games.

[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:04:29] [SPEAKER_06]: Some shows that you know aren't even out yet.

[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_06]: We're in the building.

[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_06]: So it was so amazing.

[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_06]: And if you missed your chance in New York, no worries.

[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_06]: The Baby Boys will be returning for the finale this December.

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Tickets will be available soon.

[00:04:43] [SPEAKER_06]: But next week, we are headed off to Dallas for our second party of the season.

[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_06]: And Dallas is one not to miss.

[00:04:51] [SPEAKER_06]: I feel like our Texas market, Wendy Z, is definitely showing out.

[00:04:57] [SPEAKER_09]: Dallas, Houston, anytime we go to Texas, it's great.

[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_09]: I'm trying to see who we got.

[00:05:03] [SPEAKER_09]: Looks like we have a nice crew of folks coming out in Dallas.

[00:05:08] [SPEAKER_09]: So that'll be a fun one.

[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_06]: Yes, tickets are still available.

[00:05:12] [SPEAKER_06]: And after Dallas, we are headed to the City of Angels.

[00:05:15] [SPEAKER_06]: We'll be in Los Angeles on October 9th.

[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_06]: We'll be in Nashville on October 23rd.

[00:05:20] [SPEAKER_06]: So don't miss your chance to be a part of the community that we are building

[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_06]: and the campaign of the BWP Tour 47.

[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_06]: Links are available in the Bryce & Wynn Instagram and Twitter bio.

[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_06]: Click the link and join the fun.

[00:05:34] [SPEAKER_06]: But enough of the house.

[00:05:37] [SPEAKER_06]: Hold on. Hold on.

[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_06]: Hold on. Okay.

[00:05:40] [SPEAKER_09]: Jackery.

[00:05:41] [SPEAKER_09]: What's up?

[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_09]: We're going to be in your city.

[00:05:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I know, and I'm really excited.

[00:05:46] [SPEAKER_03]: And usually it's like the premiere or sometimes it's that penultimate episode.

[00:05:52] [SPEAKER_03]: But we're getting it nice and early this season.

[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_03]: So I got it on the calendar.

[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm really excited.

[00:05:58] [SPEAKER_03]: And, I mean, shout out to our guy, Tricky Rice, with those flyers.

[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe I say it every season,

[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_03]: but this year the posters are looking top notch, better than ever before.

[00:06:10] [SPEAKER_03]: So I can't wait to see you guys in like two weeks.

[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_03]: And if you're in the L.A. area, make sure you come out.

[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_09]: Man, Jack, that's what I was getting at, man.

[00:06:20] [SPEAKER_09]: I can't – the baby boys will be back in the same room.

[00:06:23] [SPEAKER_09]: That'll be a beautiful thing.

[00:06:25] [SPEAKER_06]: Yes, yes, yes.

[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm making plans with Jack after, but we won't go there, okay?

[00:06:30] [SPEAKER_06]: Because last time I was in Jack, Jack said we was going to go out to dinner.

[00:06:33] [SPEAKER_06]: I looked up, Jack left me high and dry.

[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_03]: These are false claims, but maybe it's because we were in New York.

[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_03]: My time – I was jet lagged.

[00:06:45] [SPEAKER_03]: My time zone was wrong.

[00:06:46] [SPEAKER_06]: Now we were on the same time zone and we still have to go.

[00:06:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I know.

[00:06:49] [SPEAKER_03]: It will be.

[00:06:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I already got a dinner penciled in.

[00:06:52] [SPEAKER_03]: So I thought you were staying at Mom, Bryce.

[00:06:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Got a couple big couches if you guys need a place to crash.

[00:07:00] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay.

[00:07:00] [SPEAKER_06]: Well, listen, we got the church announcements out the way.

[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_06]: Bang, bang.

[00:07:07] [SPEAKER_06]: We have an episode to get to.

[00:07:11] [SPEAKER_06]: And let me just say, if somebody were to ask me, Bryce, huh?

[00:07:16] [SPEAKER_06]: What's your thoughts on what?

[00:07:18] [SPEAKER_06]: The first episode, chaotic.

[00:07:21] [SPEAKER_06]: And chaotic with a K.

[00:07:25] [SPEAKER_06]: And I like it.

[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, because this episode was, oh, it was a lot.

[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_06]: Your boy.

[00:07:38] [SPEAKER_06]: Hey, not too much.

[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_06]: That's our boy.

[00:07:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Not too much.

[00:07:43] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay.

[00:07:44] [SPEAKER_06]: And all I know is when I'm in L.A., Jack and Wendell, if I crack open a coconut,

[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_06]: your mother better cheer.

[00:07:54] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay?

[00:07:57] [SPEAKER_06]: That's all I'm saying.

[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_09]: All right now.

[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay.

[00:08:02] [SPEAKER_09]: Jack, take it away.

[00:08:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:08:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Where to start?

[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, first and foremost, love this two-hour episode premiere.

[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_03]: And I think a lot of times, you know, we get those two tribes go to tribal council.

[00:08:14] [SPEAKER_03]: But this episode, we only had one, which was kind of nice because it allowed for more of those camp life character moments,

[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_03]: which were really fun.

[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_03]: But kicking it off, you know, the tribes enter all on the same boat, which I don't feel like they usually do.

[00:08:29] [SPEAKER_03]: And then, you know, Jeff had some classic questions, introductory questions on the beach, gets to know everybody.

[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_03]: And then before we get into the reward challenge, I did want to talk about this a little bit more with you guys,

[00:08:40] [SPEAKER_03]: where the marooning is such a moment.

[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_03]: And that, like, talk about the goosebumps.

[00:08:45] [SPEAKER_03]: I feel like watching those first five minutes every season is the part where you're just kind of a little weak in the knees.

[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, it's about to go down.

[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_05]: I get so weak in the knees.

[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_05]: I can hardly see.

[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_05]: I lose all control.

[00:09:05] [SPEAKER_05]: If something comes over me, I'm a sad, I cry, I cry, I cry.

[00:09:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Let me settle into the seasons before we start.

[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_09]: A little early for our song?

[00:09:15] [SPEAKER_09]: A little early. Well, can you name the title?

[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Weak in the Knees.

[00:09:21] [SPEAKER_07]: Bye?

[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_07]: Bye.

[00:09:24] [SPEAKER_07]: Who never gets that?

[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, never. Jack, if you guessed this, I would streak.

[00:09:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Is it by Ben Patrick?

[00:09:36] [SPEAKER_03]: It's SWZ.

[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_03]: SWE.

[00:09:39] [SPEAKER_03]: That was my next guess.

[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_09]: What does Jackery-

[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_09]: Get them, get them, Wendell.

[00:09:45] [SPEAKER_09]: You got another one for Jackery.

[00:09:46] [SPEAKER_09]: What does this acronym stand for?

[00:09:48] [SPEAKER_09]: What was it?

[00:09:51] [SPEAKER_06]: SWV.

[00:09:56] [SPEAKER_06]: And here's a little known fact.

[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_06]: One of these members played Survivor.

[00:10:02] [SPEAKER_06]: Whoa. It wasn't-

[00:10:05] [SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't Taj, was it?

[00:10:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:10:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, there's some knowledge for you.

[00:10:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, uh, S-SW-

[00:10:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, wait, I'll give you another hint.

[00:10:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Twice in When Vizence.

[00:10:18] [SPEAKER_06]: They're all black women.

[00:10:21] [SPEAKER_06]: And they all can sing.

[00:10:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I believe it.

[00:10:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Think about it. Think about it.

[00:10:28] [SPEAKER_03]: But what does that have to do with SWV?

[00:10:31] [SPEAKER_03]: That's a hint.

[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_06]: Brother man, come on, think about it.

[00:10:36] [SPEAKER_06]: Jack, sometimes I feel like Wendell is Duke, I am Kai, and you are Ray.

[00:10:45] [SPEAKER_01]: We're talking in code here.

[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Wendell doesn't get it.

[00:10:49] [SPEAKER_03]: SWV, uh-

[00:10:50] [SPEAKER_03]: They're black women.

[00:10:52] [SPEAKER_03]: What's the first word? I'll see if I can-

[00:10:54] [SPEAKER_09]: My brother, you should know the first word.

[00:10:56] [SPEAKER_09]: Is it sweet?

[00:10:57] [SPEAKER_09]: They're black women.

[00:10:58] [SPEAKER_09]: My brother, you should know the word.

[00:11:01] [SPEAKER_09]: It's not sweet, is it?

[00:11:02] [SPEAKER_09]: My brother.

[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh!

[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, wait!

[00:11:08] [SPEAKER_04]: Now, what?

[00:11:13] [SPEAKER_04]: My brother.

[00:11:15] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, they're black women.

[00:11:20] [SPEAKER_04]: Say it again, Wendell.

[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_04]: Soul?

[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_04]: My brother.

[00:11:23] [SPEAKER_04]: They're black women.

[00:11:26] [SPEAKER_09]: If there were three girls on this pod-

[00:11:29] [SPEAKER_09]: If there were three women on this pod right now, would I be calling you my brother?

[00:11:34] No.

[00:11:35] [SPEAKER_08]: If the three of us were women-

[00:11:37] [SPEAKER_08]: Sisters?

[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Sisters.

[00:11:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Sisters with vocals.

[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my God, Jack! You are so close!

[00:11:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Is it close? Is that the V? Is it close?

[00:11:53] [SPEAKER_09]: You're so close.

[00:11:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Very close.

[00:11:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Your voices?

[00:11:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.

[00:11:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh.

[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_09]: My brother.

[00:12:01] [SPEAKER_01]: I was like, Wendell, I don't know if you see me.

[00:12:06] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm a little bit like qualified.

[00:12:07] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not a brother.

[00:12:09] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm glad we're close, but I know I haven't seen you guys in a while.

[00:12:14] [SPEAKER_01]: It's good to be welcome back.

[00:12:17] [SPEAKER_03]: So what I was getting at, it was with the marooning, it's always such a big moment.

[00:12:24] [SPEAKER_03]: And sometimes we see them on like a big barge and they got to jump off into the water.

[00:12:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Sometimes, Bryce, your season, you're getting brought in a boat.

[00:12:32] [SPEAKER_03]: The bronze are in the truck.

[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_03]: The brains are in the helicopter.

[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Everyone's meeting on the beach.

[00:12:38] [SPEAKER_03]: As a viewer or a player, like what are you guys' favorite kind of style of the marooning?

[00:12:43] [SPEAKER_03]: And how did this episode stack up?

[00:12:47] [SPEAKER_06]: My favorite style of marooning is when they're on a boat together and Jeff says go

[00:12:52] [SPEAKER_06]: and you have to grab all of the stuff around the boat and then jump off.

[00:12:57] [SPEAKER_06]: Classic. I love that.

[00:12:59] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm a fan of that also. I love it.

[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.

[00:13:03] [SPEAKER_09]: Chaotic, get what you can get and go.

[00:13:07] [SPEAKER_09]: Look for an advantage, you know.

[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_06]: I also am a fan of the old, old, old, old, old school when people would be like at work

[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_06]: and they would get up from their job and in their clothes and it seemed like they left work

[00:13:22] [SPEAKER_06]: and went right to the island.

[00:13:24] [SPEAKER_06]: That was always a favorite of mine as well.

[00:13:28] [SPEAKER_09]: I didn't even watch it back then.

[00:13:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think I would agree with you guys.

[00:13:33] [SPEAKER_03]: The barge is always really fun.

[00:13:35] [SPEAKER_03]: I kind of like that they switch it up every season, keep it fresh, unlike a lot of other things.

[00:13:41] [SPEAKER_03]: So we get to this reward challenge and it's pretty straightforward.

[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_03]: You go in pairs out through the mud to collect several puzzle pieces to assemble this vertical cube sort of puzzle.

[00:13:58] [SPEAKER_03]: And the sort of the cut and dry of it is that.

[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_03]: So I guess before we get to this, we should break down the tribes.

[00:14:05] [SPEAKER_03]: So the yellow tribe, we have Gata, Andy, John, Sam, Anika, Rachel, Sierra, Lava.

[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_03]: We have Rome, Sol, Tishan, Aisha, Genevieve, Teenie, Tuku, Gabe, Kyle, TK, Sue, Tiana and Caroline.

[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_03]: And in this challenge, I believe it's Gata, the yellow tribe, is able to take it home and win those initial supplies.

[00:14:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Did anything pop out to you guys from this first challenge?

[00:14:36] [SPEAKER_06]: Not so much the first challenge, but I think during the marooning when Jeff is calling out people,

[00:14:42] [SPEAKER_06]: and I believe it's John, the podcaster.

[00:14:45] [SPEAKER_06]: I felt like he spoke extremely too well during this time period.

[00:14:54] [SPEAKER_06]: Like it reminded me of being on my season.

[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_06]: And I remember when David Sampson spoke for the first time and I was just like, ooh, like he says so much.

[00:15:04] [SPEAKER_06]: And John says so. He like set a conundrum or something.

[00:15:09] [SPEAKER_06]: But like to me in that moment watching, I was like, oh, wow.

[00:15:12] [SPEAKER_06]: Like not only do we know he is he's wrote for President Obama and Hillary, like he can talk and he's funny and he's got a personality.

[00:15:20] [SPEAKER_06]: And I was like, ooh, not red flag, but like green flag.

[00:15:24] [SPEAKER_06]: That's actually a red flag because it's like, I don't know if I want to sit next to you in the end because you clearly can talk.

[00:15:31] [SPEAKER_09]: To that, I will say, Bryce, I agree.

[00:15:34] [SPEAKER_09]: When I heard him talk, I was like, yo, don't let this guy get some steam in this game.

[00:15:40] [SPEAKER_09]: I was like and also as he started talking more throughout the episode, for some reason he was reminding me of Dr. Mike.

[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_09]: But I was just like, man, dude is a really good speaker.

[00:15:51] [SPEAKER_09]: He sounds very smart. He's so poised.

[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_09]: He's a tremendous narrator.

[00:15:57] [SPEAKER_09]: In a modern game of Survivor, this man is a threat.

[00:16:01] [SPEAKER_06]: And he's snarky and he's funny and it's like he can point stuff out that's kind of shady, but kind of make it funny a little bit.

[00:16:09] [SPEAKER_06]: Like I was like, oh, I like him.

[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_06]: But like he's saying a lot. That was my first impression.

[00:16:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he's very witty.

[00:16:17] [SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, ultimately, it's a shame that we lost him because I thought off the rip he was one of the strongest characters that we've seen sort of in recent memories.

[00:16:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Clearly very intelligent, but also super fun and friendly.

[00:16:31] [SPEAKER_03]: And even per the words of Jeff, like one of the best narrators that we've had recently.

[00:16:35] [SPEAKER_03]: And unfortunately, only here to narrate one episode for us.

[00:16:40] [SPEAKER_03]: But he and the Gata tribe are able to win this first reward.

[00:16:44] [SPEAKER_03]: And then that results in the other two tribes having to send a member a piece to go on this, I guess we can call it the sort of initial journey, which is taking the place of our typical sweat versus savvy.

[00:16:57] [SPEAKER_03]: They're going to have an opportunity to win some supplies for their camp.

[00:17:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Ultimately, the red tribe sends. Is it Aisha or Aisha?

[00:17:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Aisha.

[00:17:08] [SPEAKER_03]: They send Aisha and the blue tribe sends TK.

[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, before we dive into all the stuff going on at camp, I figure we just cut to the to the journey and talk about it a little bit where on this journey, they're kind of one by one shown these planks with a picture of where, you know, the next key they need is located.

[00:17:27] [SPEAKER_03]: They each have three keys themselves.

[00:17:29] [SPEAKER_03]: And then the fourth and final key is that determines the winner is out on the water.

[00:17:35] [SPEAKER_03]: And it seems like they're pretty neck and neck.

[00:17:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Ultimately, TK gets out to the water before, but he's struggling to find the key.

[00:17:42] [SPEAKER_03]: And Aisha gets there as well, tries to wrestle it away from him.

[00:17:46] [SPEAKER_03]: But TK being, you know, the big guy that he is, is able to hold on to it and when that supplies for his tribe.

[00:17:53] [SPEAKER_03]: But I guess what I wanted to ask you guys is what do we think about this new sort of sweater savvy alternative?

[00:18:00] [SPEAKER_06]: I feel like I'm. Not going to be on the ladder or ladder because I like sweat or savvy, I enjoy that, like, you know, I always think of like, you know, my Zaddy Zander out there, like I enjoyed the sweat or savvy, right?

[00:18:17] [SPEAKER_06]: Like, so I miss that. But, you know, there are a lot of things that I like that the greater audience doesn't agree with.

[00:18:24] [SPEAKER_06]: But I enjoyed the journey. I enjoyed the challenge. I love a running challenge into the jungle kind of gave me old feels.

[00:18:31] [SPEAKER_06]: And there's something about TK during this challenge where they both got turned around and couldn't find their path back to the ocean.

[00:18:37] [SPEAKER_06]: Although I'm like, just listen for the water, right? Like follow the water.

[00:18:42] [SPEAKER_06]: But I really think that it says something about TK that he said F the path.

[00:18:49] [SPEAKER_06]: And he literally and figuratively forged his own path back to the water. Now, I felt bad for the cameraman that would have to follow him because he just whatever.

[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_06]: But I really like I thought that that was something that I'm like, wow, I feel like TK is going to march to the beat of his own way and really like make his own path.

[00:19:10] [SPEAKER_06]: Because that was just like he said F the path. I need to get back to the water.

[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_06]: And shout out to Asia for not just standing there and being like, okay, you got the key.

[00:19:20] [SPEAKER_06]: And like she said with the fly swatter, she didn't just go up there and wrestle.

[00:19:24] [SPEAKER_06]: She just, what you do? Oh, you got it.

[00:19:29] [SPEAKER_06]: Like, you know, like I like that.

[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_06]: Like, I feel like we saw a preview of both of their games.

[00:19:35] [SPEAKER_06]: Asia is going to be sweet on the other side, but she's a demon.

[00:19:38] [SPEAKER_06]: Like she's going to play like a demon because, you know, she is my sister-in-law in my head.

[00:19:43] [SPEAKER_06]: So I got a root for my sis-in-law.

[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Made for Germany.

[00:20:46] [SPEAKER_00]: Powered by Shopify.

[00:20:49] [SPEAKER_09]: I thought it was a good change up.

[00:20:52] [SPEAKER_09]: I like it when Survivor throws a loop.

[00:20:56] [SPEAKER_09]: And I was excited to see this kind of a challenge for the losing tribes as opposed to Sweatverse Savvy.

[00:21:01] [SPEAKER_09]: I do like Sweatverse Savvy, but I also just like them doing things to kind of break the mold.

[00:21:08] [SPEAKER_09]: So I was happy seeing this, seeing them out there.

[00:21:12] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I enjoyed watching it.

[00:21:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Bryce, I honestly think I'm on board with you here.

[00:21:19] [SPEAKER_03]: I didn't have any blatant issues with it, but I didn't love it.

[00:21:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I felt like this sort of ties into the theme that I think we see later in the episode with this beware advantage of I don't love a challenge or advantage or whatever that is kind of just like a scavenger hunt.

[00:21:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Right here, you know, it's OK, find one key, then you find another key, then you find another key and then you find another key.

[00:21:44] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's like, it's kind of, you know, it's not like the most exciting thing to watch.

[00:21:50] [SPEAKER_03]: And I love a dilemma, like a strategic dilemma, a social dilemma.

[00:21:55] [SPEAKER_03]: And here it's kind of straightforward, like just it's kind of just another little challenge.

[00:21:59] [SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, tie that in with the beware advantage.

[00:22:03] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, I don't mind it as far as the structure goes.

[00:22:07] [SPEAKER_03]: But as a viewer, how much fun is it to watch them?

[00:22:10] [SPEAKER_03]: OK, here's a scavenger hunt.

[00:22:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you did it.

[00:22:13] [SPEAKER_03]: You want to go do another scavenger hunt?

[00:22:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you did that one.

[00:22:17] [SPEAKER_03]: You want to go do another one?

[00:22:18] [SPEAKER_03]: And so we end up watching for like 20 to 25, 20 minutes this episode, people like running around the woods, which is kind of fun, but also can get a little stale.

[00:22:28] [SPEAKER_09]: I would watch an hour to get that meme of my main man Rome.

[00:22:36] [SPEAKER_08]: True.

[00:22:37] [SPEAKER_08]: But we'll get there.

[00:22:39] [SPEAKER_03]: And when that's true.

[00:22:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's why certain tasks that they have to do that I think involve a little bit of stealth or can leave you open to, you know, looking foolish.

[00:22:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I do like those tasks, but there's a lot of just dig in X, Y, Z.

[00:22:55] [SPEAKER_06]: I think they were they got criticized a lot for the task being like too hard or too like kooky.

[00:23:01] [SPEAKER_06]: So I really felt like this task was a little straightforward.

[00:23:04] [SPEAKER_06]: And when they first got the key, I think when Gabe first found the key, I'm like, oh, this is way too easy.

[00:23:10] [SPEAKER_06]: Like this is this should not be a beware challenge.

[00:23:13] [SPEAKER_06]: But then when we saw that it had another layer to it, I was like, OK, I don't love it, but I like it because it is a lot.

[00:23:22] [SPEAKER_06]: And it's just interesting to see two people, in my opinion, kind of fumble it a little bit.

[00:23:27] [SPEAKER_06]: But to see how bad you fumble it or to see how really bad you fumble it.

[00:23:32] [SPEAKER_06]: So it's like I'm a little indifferent about.

[00:23:36] [SPEAKER_03]: The beware. Yeah, and before we get over to, you know, a better look at the tribes now that we're on the beware, I'd love to talk about this, you know, aside from my my gripes with the tasks themselves to some extent.

[00:23:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I do think it is an interesting dilemma of do I take my my guaranteed one round of safety or do I risk it for three?

[00:23:57] [SPEAKER_03]: And then do I take the three or do I risk it for, you know, the full immunity idol?

[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_03]: And that's actually a, you know, a strategic quandary that I think is really interesting.

[00:24:08] [SPEAKER_03]: So I'd love to hear where, you know, if this beware advantage fell into your guys's hands, how would you approach the situation?

[00:24:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Right. Starts off. I already told you.

[00:24:18] [SPEAKER_06]: Soon as I see beat, put it back.

[00:24:21] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't I'm not I don't care what it say.

[00:24:24] [SPEAKER_06]: First of all, you know, I'm dyslexic, so I'm a read some notes anyway.

[00:24:29] [SPEAKER_06]: But my opinion, like I feel like and this is my thought, right?

[00:24:35] [SPEAKER_06]: Like I like it, right, because no one's just going to sign up for one.

[00:24:39] [SPEAKER_06]: Right. Like you're clearly going to go for the second or the third one.

[00:24:44] [SPEAKER_06]: My issue really isn't with that.

[00:24:45] [SPEAKER_06]: My issue with Rome and Gabe and tell me you're if you agree with this.

[00:24:50] [SPEAKER_06]: I feel like they're rushing it too much.

[00:24:52] [SPEAKER_06]: Like you are making the block extremely hot.

[00:24:55] [SPEAKER_06]: You know where the box is.

[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_06]: You can look as to where the key is.

[00:25:01] [SPEAKER_06]: How about you just get a day, spend a day like you are going for extremely.

[00:25:06] [SPEAKER_06]: You are making the block extremely too high.

[00:25:10] [SPEAKER_06]: I feel like I understand you want to get the key, but just take a second.

[00:25:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. Yeah.

[00:25:16] [SPEAKER_03]: And I think that's I think preseason.

[00:25:18] [SPEAKER_03]: A lot of people said about Rome and about Gabe

[00:25:21] [SPEAKER_03]: that they might come in playing too hard.

[00:25:24] [SPEAKER_03]: And I agree with you.

[00:25:25] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like it's not a huge rush.

[00:25:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, go find the time when it's ideal

[00:25:30] [SPEAKER_03]: and not when people are sitting 50 feet away at camp.

[00:25:34] [SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?

[00:25:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Where the box damn near rolls into camp in front of everybody.

[00:25:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Or like you run to the well while people are on, like their errands,

[00:25:45] [SPEAKER_03]: you know, their daily their daily chores in some extent.

[00:25:48] [SPEAKER_03]: So I told you, Bryce, to humor me, if you did take this beware advantage.

[00:25:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Right. And you had this and you open the box and it says, OK, here's one round.

[00:25:59] [SPEAKER_03]: What what would your where would your head be at that?

[00:26:02] [SPEAKER_06]: Assuming you get my head would be at.

[00:26:04] [SPEAKER_06]: OK, I'm going to put the key in the hole.

[00:26:07] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to get the information as to where the second one is.

[00:26:10] [SPEAKER_06]: And I'm going to wait and maybe this is the wrong approach.

[00:26:13] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to wait till after the challenge. Right.

[00:26:15] [SPEAKER_06]: Like because if we lose the challenge, then I don't care.

[00:26:18] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm going crazy. But if we don't, if we win,

[00:26:22] [SPEAKER_06]: I have another day or two to kind of explore, make connections,

[00:26:25] [SPEAKER_06]: because I really feel like, for instance, Rome.

[00:26:29] [SPEAKER_06]: I feel like Rome was high energy, but we got people talking about like they loved Rome.

[00:26:33] [SPEAKER_06]: He was fun. They're getting along with them.

[00:26:35] [SPEAKER_06]: And it's like you're you playing so hard is now putting a target on your back

[00:26:40] [SPEAKER_06]: when it's like you could have gained more support.

[00:26:45] [SPEAKER_06]: And had time to go out and buy, so I don't know, I just feel like it's just rushed

[00:26:48] [SPEAKER_06]: a little bit, but now you have this power.

[00:26:51] [SPEAKER_06]: But now you're going to have to use it.

[00:26:55] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, yeah. Right.

[00:26:56] [SPEAKER_09]: So, Wendell, what about you?

[00:26:58] [SPEAKER_09]: I think Bryce is I think Bryce's strategy is a good strategy.

[00:27:02] [SPEAKER_09]: Like put it in there and wait.

[00:27:05] [SPEAKER_09]: Well, I think so.

[00:27:08] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'll be right.

[00:27:12] [SPEAKER_01]: He knows about this.

[00:27:12] [SPEAKER_09]: Hey, you talk about language. Go ahead.

[00:27:16] [SPEAKER_09]: I think it's a very good idea to wait and the wait and see approach.

[00:27:21] [SPEAKER_09]: Wait and see if you guys lose, if you win and play it by ear.

[00:27:26] [SPEAKER_09]: As a first time survivor, if I put myself in those in that position,

[00:27:31] [SPEAKER_09]: I would probably be so amped and want to.

[00:27:36] [SPEAKER_09]: You want to you want to go for it all.

[00:27:40] [SPEAKER_09]: But I think Bryce, I think that's a smart move.

[00:27:42] [SPEAKER_09]: I don't think you would have done it, though.

[00:27:43] [SPEAKER_09]: I think you would have tried to go for it all.

[00:27:45] [SPEAKER_06]: No, no, no, no, no.

[00:27:47] [SPEAKER_06]: Because I'd have been Gabe dropping the box.

[00:27:52] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, I don't think I should say that he wouldn't go for it all.

[00:27:55] [SPEAKER_03]: And I say, because once you get the three, then maybe you're right.

[00:27:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, then I'll wait and go for the for the full because I do.

[00:28:02] [SPEAKER_03]: My thinking on this is, like Bryce said, I agree.

[00:28:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, I agree. You have a lot of time here.

[00:28:11] [SPEAKER_03]: And once you found, you know, complete the first task and got in the first key,

[00:28:15] [SPEAKER_03]: my mind would probably be like, all right, well, the other tasks

[00:28:17] [SPEAKER_03]: probably aren't that much different.

[00:28:19] [SPEAKER_03]: And I already did the first one.

[00:28:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I could probably increase, you know, the power of this idol.

[00:28:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I also think once I get if I if I go for three, once I get three

[00:28:28] [SPEAKER_03]: and then I can get one that goes to a final five,

[00:28:30] [SPEAKER_03]: that's really a big jump in my book that is worth the risk.

[00:28:35] [SPEAKER_03]: But part of me, you know, I kind of hope in the moment

[00:28:39] [SPEAKER_03]: that I would be able to sort of take on a more simple approach,

[00:28:43] [SPEAKER_03]: which isn't necessarily how I usually think about the game.

[00:28:46] [SPEAKER_03]: But to just find an idol that is good for the first tribal council you go to.

[00:28:51] [SPEAKER_03]: There is something really simple and easy about that where now, OK,

[00:28:57] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to try maybe if my tribe's decent, we don't lose for a couple tribals

[00:29:02] [SPEAKER_03]: or maybe we go the first tribal.

[00:29:04] [SPEAKER_03]: But like, at least I know I'm not going to be the first move. Right.

[00:29:07] [SPEAKER_03]: And I think that can alleviate a lot of the concerns that, you know,

[00:29:10] [SPEAKER_03]: when you're fresh on the island, these players might have.

[00:29:13] [SPEAKER_03]: It gives you some comfort to be like, I'm not going to be the first one out

[00:29:16] [SPEAKER_03]: because I'm going to play my idol.

[00:29:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe, you know, I can play it on if things if say I'm in a group of three

[00:29:22] [SPEAKER_03]: alliance, three and things are looking split.

[00:29:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe I can play on an ally and make a move.

[00:29:26] [SPEAKER_03]: I can keep the numbers for myself, but we're past it today.

[00:29:30] [SPEAKER_03]: I think we'll make a big move early.

[00:29:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. And I think, you know, there's something easy.

[00:29:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Just be like, all right, I'm not going to be the first one out.

[00:29:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, let me just accept that and like appreciate it.

[00:29:41] [SPEAKER_03]: And we see a lot in these seasons, too.

[00:29:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Sometimes there's a disaster tribe where you might not go to more

[00:29:47] [SPEAKER_03]: than one tribal pre-merge.

[00:29:48] [SPEAKER_03]: So that that one good idol could get you to the merge.

[00:29:52] [SPEAKER_06]: Now, another idea, Jack.

[00:29:55] [SPEAKER_06]: What if you got it? You don't have a vote, but you just hold it.

[00:30:00] [SPEAKER_06]: Because now, you know, no one else is going to get it like, you know,

[00:30:03] [SPEAKER_06]: like what if you kind of like held it within so that no one else can get it?

[00:30:09] [SPEAKER_06]: And although it kind of puts you at a deficit,

[00:30:11] [SPEAKER_06]: it also puts you at knowledge is power.

[00:30:15] [SPEAKER_06]: You know that when we're splitting the vote,

[00:30:17] [SPEAKER_06]: we know that no one else is going to have something.

[00:30:19] [SPEAKER_06]: So it kind of puts you in a power position.

[00:30:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Agree. I mean, so I totally agree with the knowledge is power of it.

[00:30:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Right. Because if you put it back, then you're not only losing this potential

[00:30:31] [SPEAKER_03]: advantage, you're also losing the knowledge of who's going to get it.

[00:30:33] [SPEAKER_03]: But I wouldn't say like wait and not regain your vote.

[00:30:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Right. Because it's like what?

[00:30:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Like as far as waiting goes, I agree.

[00:30:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Just find that right opportunity to go do your hunting.

[00:30:43] [SPEAKER_03]: But I wouldn't I wouldn't be comfortable being like,

[00:30:45] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not even going to pick this up just for the night.

[00:30:48] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to go get the idol.

[00:30:49] [SPEAKER_03]: But I agree with it is very important just knowing where advantage you're at.

[00:30:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Sometimes it's more impactful than having the advantage itself.

[00:30:57] [SPEAKER_03]: But to my to what I was saying,

[00:30:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I think that that beauty of that one tribal could be very valuable.

[00:31:02] [SPEAKER_03]: And I would kind of hope that I would be able to like sit back and

[00:31:05] [SPEAKER_03]: appreciate that and take that.

[00:31:07] [SPEAKER_03]: But I do think if you want to really play a winning game,

[00:31:10] [SPEAKER_03]: then taking those because I feel like these tasks haven't been that hard.

[00:31:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Right. And so to make that leap and go for that full idol

[00:31:20] [SPEAKER_03]: and then trust yourself as a good player to be like,

[00:31:23] [SPEAKER_03]: hey, if I'm going to if I'm going to go on to win this game,

[00:31:26] [SPEAKER_03]: assuming I have the skill set,

[00:31:28] [SPEAKER_03]: then a full idol is obviously going to be a lot more helpful than this one time

[00:31:32] [SPEAKER_03]: idol. And hopefully I don't make a mistake that we've seen a lot of people make,

[00:31:35] [SPEAKER_03]: you know, even last season of, you know,

[00:31:37] [SPEAKER_03]: because a lot of people I think wait too long to make that perfect move with

[00:31:40] [SPEAKER_03]: the idol and then we'll go home with it.

[00:31:42] [SPEAKER_03]: And that's kind of why I was like, you know, just one idol, one, one,

[00:31:46] [SPEAKER_03]: one, one tribal idol. You don't have to overthink it. You can play it,

[00:31:50] [SPEAKER_03]: settle in, see the dynamic, something nice about that.

[00:31:53] [SPEAKER_09]: I think there's a lot to that, Jack. I think first of all, like you said,

[00:31:58] [SPEAKER_09]: you know, you could win a couple or whatever.

[00:32:01] [SPEAKER_09]: And this is just like, all right, I know I won't be first out and it could

[00:32:07] [SPEAKER_09]: be a real tool in doing something else. So,

[00:32:10] [SPEAKER_09]: and you can buy your, if with a winner to wins,

[00:32:13] [SPEAKER_09]: you can buy yourself the time to have good relationships or whatever.

[00:32:16] [SPEAKER_09]: And if you don't,

[00:32:17] [SPEAKER_09]: you have the idol to save yourself there and shake up whatever else might be

[00:32:21] [SPEAKER_09]: going on. Yeah. I think it's a good idea, Jack.

[00:32:23] [SPEAKER_03]: And the nice thing is you guarantee that you're going to know whether the

[00:32:27] [SPEAKER_03]: first time you go to is your tribe,

[00:32:29] [SPEAKER_03]: or maybe you make it to a swap without going to a tribal.

[00:32:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Now you're on a swap tribe and there's a new dynamic. You,

[00:32:34] [SPEAKER_03]: you're going to guarantee that you're going to know you're going to get through

[00:32:36] [SPEAKER_03]: on tribal and at least know if you're on the top or the bottom too,

[00:32:40] [SPEAKER_03]: because then that can really influence how you play.

[00:32:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Like if I keep this out of myself and all my allies vote, you know,

[00:32:46] [SPEAKER_03]: how I thought they were going to vote.

[00:32:47] [SPEAKER_03]: And I think there's a comfort you can take and be like, okay,

[00:32:50] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm in the right group. Like these people do trust me.

[00:32:52] [SPEAKER_03]: We've built some trust. Whereas I feel like playing survivor,

[00:32:57] [SPEAKER_03]: that first tribal is probably one of the most nerve wracking things.

[00:33:00] [SPEAKER_03]: So to eliminate, eliminate that paranoia,

[00:33:02] [SPEAKER_03]: tell me about it and just to eliminate that paranoia and, and just be like,

[00:33:07] [SPEAKER_03]: okay, let me see what, who's really like,

[00:33:09] [SPEAKER_03]: who's really about their word could be a nice thing.

[00:33:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Now would I end up doing that or would I go for everything? Who knows?

[00:33:15] [SPEAKER_03]: But I would hope that if you do go for the full idol that, you know,

[00:33:20] [SPEAKER_03]: we heed Bryce's advice here and,

[00:33:22] [SPEAKER_03]: and take our time because there's really no rush to be doing it in broad

[00:33:26] [SPEAKER_03]: daylight. So, but yeah, I think,

[00:33:29] [SPEAKER_03]: I think the idol situation self pose at least like an interesting dilemma.

[00:33:35] [SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, great.

[00:33:36] [SPEAKER_03]: So now we've the journeys done and we've covered this new beware advantage.

[00:33:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Now we're getting to hear something.

[00:33:43] [SPEAKER_06]: What I don't like about the journey a little bit. Maybe I like it.

[00:33:46] [SPEAKER_06]: Maybe I'm a little messy. Maybe I like the confusion.

[00:33:49] [SPEAKER_06]: I like when people go on a journey and it was rather simple, right?

[00:33:55] [SPEAKER_06]: Where TK went back and they were like, did I eat anything?

[00:33:58] [SPEAKER_06]: And they're like, no, we battled it out. So she's everything.

[00:34:01] [SPEAKER_06]: I like it when it's a little more ambiguous, right?

[00:34:04] [SPEAKER_06]: I like it when the tribe questions. Right. But I also feel like,

[00:34:11] [SPEAKER_06]: I feel like Asia is believable and lovable.

[00:34:17] [SPEAKER_06]: So it doesn't matter if it was some complicated story,

[00:34:21] [SPEAKER_06]: she wasn't going to give us a glinsky story, right?

[00:34:24] [SPEAKER_06]: Like they would have believed her,

[00:34:25] [SPEAKER_06]: but I do like it when it's a little more ambiguous because I love when people

[00:34:30] [SPEAKER_06]: just start worrying about stuff. That's not even there.

[00:34:33] [SPEAKER_06]: Like I, as a viewer, I enjoy that. So yeah, this kind of cuts it off.

[00:34:38] [SPEAKER_09]: You're right. It's easier to pick up. Like when it's, when it's, it just,

[00:34:43] [SPEAKER_09]: even if people aren't lying when it's like dag,

[00:34:46] [SPEAKER_09]: I think they're lying or I do when it's a little more ambiguous,

[00:34:50] [SPEAKER_09]: it's just like, there's so much up for grabs there.

[00:34:53] [SPEAKER_09]: Even if you're telling the gods aren't as honest truth,

[00:34:56] [SPEAKER_06]: or even just when it's like, we had to walk up this hill.

[00:34:59] [SPEAKER_06]: We had to read this thing. We had to decide.

[00:35:01] [SPEAKER_06]: Like just even when the story itself lends to like, bitch, you lying.

[00:35:07] [SPEAKER_03]: No, you're right. That's a credit to Asia. Cause nobody,

[00:35:12] [SPEAKER_03]: that could be a really scary credit to who?

[00:35:16] [SPEAKER_09]: What's up? A credit though. Who's Asia?

[00:35:20] [SPEAKER_09]: Asia. Thank you. Cause Bryce, you butchered it.

[00:35:24] [SPEAKER_04]: Aisha. Yeah.

[00:35:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Right. Yeah. It's a lot closer.

[00:35:32] [SPEAKER_03]: But that's credit to her. Cause you show up empty.

[00:35:34] [SPEAKER_03]: She even mentioned you, you show up empty handed people.

[00:35:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Oftentimes we'll assume the worst and it seems like really nobody was too

[00:35:41] [SPEAKER_03]: concerned about it. I also think it's interesting to think about,

[00:35:44] [SPEAKER_03]: you know, all these different sorts of journeys we see and how people present

[00:35:48] [SPEAKER_03]: the story. But there's such a realm of possibilities here where, you know,

[00:35:53] [SPEAKER_03]: you show up empty handed in a season where there's like some other dilemma.

[00:35:56] [SPEAKER_03]: You could just make something else up. I mean, it might,

[00:35:58] [SPEAKER_03]: it might come back to you later in the game, but so I guess you want to keep it

[00:36:02] [SPEAKER_03]: pretty real. But I do agree with you guys. There's no,

[00:36:05] [SPEAKER_03]: there's no like gray area really here. You win or you lose.

[00:36:09] [SPEAKER_03]: And to that point, something really subtle.

[00:36:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I think the thing I agreed with Rome on the most,

[00:36:15] [SPEAKER_03]: this episode was when he said that it was a mistake to volunteer,

[00:36:18] [SPEAKER_03]: to go on this journey,

[00:36:20] [SPEAKER_03]: because I feel like it was framed as like you can go and earn supplies for your

[00:36:24] [SPEAKER_03]: tribe. But at the same time,

[00:36:26] [SPEAKER_03]: we're missing maybe that first five hours of it was a meeting. Okay.

[00:36:30] [SPEAKER_06]: And that's why I've again,

[00:36:32] [SPEAKER_06]: I also feel like I'm a real believer in energy and spirits, right?

[00:36:37] [SPEAKER_06]: Like I feel like from watching Rome, he has a hyper,

[00:36:41] [SPEAKER_06]: like I just see it. Right. And so that,

[00:36:44] [SPEAKER_06]: I think that has to be true for him,

[00:36:48] [SPEAKER_06]: but I feel like Asia spirit is different. You saw what she got back.

[00:36:51] [SPEAKER_06]: Teeny just naturally gravitated towards her.

[00:36:54] [SPEAKER_06]: So I also feel like it depends on the person. And I think Rome for Rome.

[00:37:00] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah. He needs to stay and spend as much time with the group,

[00:37:02] [SPEAKER_06]: even though he spent more time in the well than with the group.

[00:37:06] [SPEAKER_06]: So I feel like he is kind of contradicting himself,

[00:37:09] [SPEAKER_06]: but I also was cracking up to anybody. Pete TK's exaggeration a little bit

[00:37:16] [SPEAKER_06]: where he was like, yeah, I got back and you know,

[00:37:18] [SPEAKER_07]: Asia over there tried to wrestle me down in the water.

[00:37:21] [SPEAKER_07]: We was diving around and I was looking at her like, girl,

[00:37:25] [SPEAKER_06]: what did you do it? Meanwhile, Asia just walk. Asia did a.

[00:37:32] [SPEAKER_09]: He got it.

[00:37:34] [SPEAKER_06]: TK made it seem like she was trying to rumble him.

[00:37:38] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know if that was just me.

[00:37:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, kind of. She definitely was making a little bit of a move there for it.

[00:37:44] [SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, they were definitely weren't full blown.

[00:37:46] [SPEAKER_03]: But sometimes you make a big play. You got to hype yourself up a little bit.

[00:37:50] [SPEAKER_06]: But I would say if I was out there, though, I mean,

[00:37:54] [SPEAKER_06]: I probably would have wrestled TK for just a little bit. Just, you know,

[00:37:59] [SPEAKER_06]: hey, that's a tug of war. Okay.

[00:38:03] [SPEAKER_09]: Just a little. What are you talking about?

[00:38:10] [SPEAKER_09]: I apologize. I apologize.

[00:38:13] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm just saying I disagree with you on this, though, Bryce, because you're right.

[00:38:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Asia luckily has the skills.

[00:38:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Asia. I mean, it's the S.H. that's getting there.

[00:38:24] [SPEAKER_09]: We're getting her handle like Asia, like the continent or something.

[00:38:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, okay. Asia. All right.

[00:38:30] [SPEAKER_03]: That makes it easier. Asia has the skills that she's able to recover from this.

[00:38:37] [SPEAKER_03]: But to me on paper, it's like, okay, you volunteer to go on this journey.

[00:38:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Best case scenario, you win some supplies for your tribe.

[00:38:46] [SPEAKER_03]: But it's is that that's not you're also missing value.

[00:38:49] [SPEAKER_06]: Try. Who is it?

[00:38:52] [SPEAKER_06]: Asia's sitting with the tribe, given the four one one on Rome,

[00:38:57] [SPEAKER_06]: or is it Rome connected with the tribe?

[00:39:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but I'm just talking.

[00:39:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Of course, it's different between different people.

[00:39:05] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's not necessarily a huge win or a huge loss.

[00:39:07] [SPEAKER_03]: But I do think on a basic level, I would say the average random player.

[00:39:13] [SPEAKER_03]: I think you'd rather have that time with your tribe.

[00:39:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Get your get your feet planted a little bit with some people.

[00:39:19] [SPEAKER_03]: And I think we kind of underrate this because Asia played it off so well.

[00:39:23] [SPEAKER_03]: But if you come back with nothing, there's a lot of players that are going to

[00:39:27] [SPEAKER_03]: either people are going to look at that bad or they're going to be suspicious.

[00:39:32] [SPEAKER_03]: And I'd rather just save myself.

[00:39:34] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, maybe if there was an advantage up for grabs or something,

[00:39:37] [SPEAKER_03]: it could be worth the risk.

[00:39:37] [SPEAKER_03]: But it's like just let someone else go try to get the supplies.

[00:39:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Like it's like a machete and a Flint.

[00:39:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Like it's not we'll have those in three days if we don't get them now.

[00:39:48] [SPEAKER_06]: Last season, a tribe went a lot longer.

[00:39:51] [SPEAKER_03]: So I don't know.

[00:39:53] [SPEAKER_03]: But I mean, had they said Bonu, he wasn't coming back.

[00:39:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, so.

[00:40:00] [SPEAKER_04]: Not too much.

[00:40:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes. So now. OK, cool.

[00:40:03] [SPEAKER_03]: So we get we can go kind of now we're looking at some camp life

[00:40:06] [SPEAKER_03]: and some of these early dynamics.

[00:40:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I know they kind of fluctuated and bounced around,

[00:40:12] [SPEAKER_03]: but I kind of want to just go tribe by tribe.

[00:40:14] [SPEAKER_03]: I'll give sort of the highlights and then whatever jumps out to you guys.

[00:40:18] [SPEAKER_03]: We can talk about for a little bit.

[00:40:19] [SPEAKER_03]: So over on Gaza, the yellow tribe.

[00:40:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Immediately, Andy and John go make a connection.

[00:40:30] [SPEAKER_03]: But the other four kind of witness this separation.

[00:40:33] [SPEAKER_03]: And those four, they say they have like an unspoken sort of thing going on.

[00:40:38] [SPEAKER_03]: I did think it was interesting.

[00:40:39] [SPEAKER_03]: At least this was probably editing.

[00:40:41] [SPEAKER_03]: But the fact that Andy was just like, I'm by like he just threw it out there.

[00:40:46] [SPEAKER_03]: No context as a way to connect.

[00:40:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure that's something, you know, John and Mark works for me.

[00:40:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. And you want to connect with me?

[00:40:58] [SPEAKER_03]: OK, Bryce.

[00:41:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I just I just feel like, of course, maybe it was just a trick of editing.

[00:41:04] [SPEAKER_03]: But things like I feel like whenever you're opening up about something,

[00:41:07] [SPEAKER_03]: you want it to be kind of a natural flow of conversation.

[00:41:10] [SPEAKER_03]: You don't just want to like throw out like my parents are divorced.

[00:41:15] [SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean? Like, let it like.

[00:41:18] [SPEAKER_03]: But you know, whatever.

[00:41:19] [SPEAKER_03]: So they bond. They seem to connect the other four, you know, sort of.

[00:41:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Who are the other four?

[00:41:26] [SPEAKER_03]: It's Sam, Anika, Rachel and Sia.

[00:41:29] [SPEAKER_06]: You can stop right there.

[00:41:33] [SPEAKER_06]: Sam, Samuel, the baseball player,

[00:41:36] [SPEAKER_06]: the actor, the news reporter.

[00:41:41] [SPEAKER_06]: OK, I could be a car.

[00:41:43] [SPEAKER_06]: He could put the key in my engine.

[00:41:45] [SPEAKER_06]: That's all I'm saying. He's versatile.

[00:41:47] [SPEAKER_06]: We like Sam when he say he a glue or a glue guy, a glue.

[00:41:52] [SPEAKER_06]: OK, stay away from his glue, Bryce.

[00:41:56] [SPEAKER_06]: OK, Sam, they call me a hot glue stick.

[00:42:00] [SPEAKER_06]: OK.

[00:42:01] [SPEAKER_06]: Hey.

[00:42:06] [SPEAKER_06]: OK, I'm a hot glue gun.

[00:42:09] [SPEAKER_06]: I just need some glue sale. OK.

[00:42:12] [SPEAKER_06]: I like Sam.

[00:42:14] [SPEAKER_02]: I get sticky.

[00:42:15] [SPEAKER_07]: OK, what you need for me to glue sale?

[00:42:20] [SPEAKER_07]: I like to. OK.

[00:42:23] [SPEAKER_06]: Girlfriend, bro.

[00:42:25] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm by. He's not by.

[00:42:27] [SPEAKER_06]: I can connect.

[00:42:30] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm connected.

[00:42:32] [SPEAKER_06]: No, but I do like Sam. Right.

[00:42:34] [SPEAKER_06]: Because, you know, Sam said he a wolf in a wolf clothes.

[00:42:37] [SPEAKER_06]: And I'm little Mary or little Robin Hood.

[00:42:43] [SPEAKER_06]: Little Bo Peep walking down with my sheep.

[00:42:47] [SPEAKER_06]: But I like Sam.

[00:42:51] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm sorry. OK.

[00:42:52] [SPEAKER_06]: I think he has the right attitude. Right.

[00:42:55] [SPEAKER_06]: Like where it's like I really do feel like he is versatile.

[00:42:59] [SPEAKER_06]: He also has the wherewithal to be like, I don't want to be elite.

[00:43:03] [SPEAKER_06]: I'd rather be a sidekick.

[00:43:05] [SPEAKER_06]: And I relate to him in that aspect.

[00:43:09] [SPEAKER_06]: Like, I don't need to be the name on the bill.

[00:43:12] [SPEAKER_06]: Like, I'd rather be the opening act.

[00:43:14] [SPEAKER_06]: I'd rather be the like the supporting.

[00:43:17] [SPEAKER_06]: Right. The glue guy.

[00:43:20] [SPEAKER_06]: Because if the opening act is sick, what's going on?

[00:43:24] [SPEAKER_06]: I think that's very, very, very smart of him.

[00:43:26] [SPEAKER_09]: It's a great analogy.

[00:43:27] [SPEAKER_09]: It takes a lot of self-awareness.

[00:43:30] [SPEAKER_09]: And yet he he knows he's like big, strong, handsome, all these things.

[00:43:36] [SPEAKER_09]: He's got a visible all the things that Bryce is in love with.

[00:43:40] [SPEAKER_09]: He knows this and he's going to say, you know what?

[00:43:42] [SPEAKER_09]: I'm going to try my best to be the glue guy, which is a great role.

[00:43:47] [SPEAKER_03]: And I thought it was really, you know, to me, he might have been the player of the episode.

[00:43:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, I think it was really impressive that on the season, he might be the most kind of stereotypically broey, macho guy.

[00:43:58] [SPEAKER_03]: But he's the one on his tribe that connects the most with all the women really quickly.

[00:44:02] [SPEAKER_03]: And then has the guys coming to him with plans as well.

[00:44:06] [SPEAKER_03]: And he sort of puts himself at the center.

[00:44:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I think he analyzes sort of the plans that are thrown his way and kind of reacts accordingly.

[00:44:14] [SPEAKER_03]: And is distributing information in like a very balanced way where he's not like really.

[00:44:19] [SPEAKER_03]: He's not necessarily like later on when he when John and Andy come in with this plan, it doesn't seem like he's necessarily throwing them under the bus.

[00:44:25] [SPEAKER_03]: But he takes that information and then goes to the girls and is like, OK, here's a little bit what I heard.

[00:44:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, how do we go about this?

[00:44:31] [SPEAKER_03]: So I like what Sam was doing.

[00:44:35] [SPEAKER_03]: We also see, you know, Anika immediately very knowledgeable talking about certain things about coconuts in the shelter.

[00:44:43] [SPEAKER_03]: And sort of becomes kind of a natural leader, despite not necessarily wanting to.

[00:44:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Like we said, Sam wants to be a glue guy, which I think is very.

[00:44:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I also love that analogy because I think it's kind of a not only a sports reference, but also like a kind of a broey friendship reference.

[00:45:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I did understand what he meant.

[00:45:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Like when you with your squad, there's always that certain guy that, you know, when they come through, it feels like, all right, now we're ready to go out and have some fun.

[00:45:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Like he's the he's the one who kind of brings the team together, which is a great person to be.

[00:45:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Sierra, you know, is talks a little bit about, OK, she's a pageant girl, but she's also kind of a tomboy, like growing up as her dad's who had no no sons kind of instilled some masculinity on her, I suppose.

[00:45:30] [SPEAKER_03]: And she's able to start the fire.

[00:45:32] [SPEAKER_03]: And then I think kind of the main thing that we get to a little bit later is Andy sort of earnestly connecting with Rachel.

[00:45:41] [SPEAKER_03]: And then in the middle of the night, he's having a little bit of a freak out and he pulls her off to like have a conversation and settle his nerves.

[00:45:51] [SPEAKER_03]: And she's really not very about it, which I think for good reason, you know, sneaking off as a pair in the middle of the night for a variety of reasons can be a very bad look.

[00:46:02] [SPEAKER_03]: But that's kind of the things going on at a gata.

[00:46:06] [SPEAKER_03]: What jumped out to you guys?

[00:46:08] [SPEAKER_03]: What's what's important?

[00:46:09] [SPEAKER_09]: A window. Now, go ahead to tell us about Andy.

[00:46:16] [SPEAKER_09]: OK, here, full disclosure.

[00:46:19] [SPEAKER_09]: We're big fans of Andy and.

[00:46:23] [SPEAKER_09]: He's a friend of the show, he's a friend of BWP, and so.

[00:46:29] [SPEAKER_09]: It was not the easiest episode for me to watch or to talk about because like I know this guy, I know he's a great guy, but man, did he provide us with some material this episode?

[00:46:43] [SPEAKER_06]: So for me, before we get into that, I love Andy.

[00:46:52] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm a personal friend of Andy.

[00:46:54] [SPEAKER_06]: I've watched Andy evolve over these last five years.

[00:46:57] [SPEAKER_06]: So I want to just start with that.

[00:47:00] [SPEAKER_06]: But because, listen, we love you.

[00:47:09] [SPEAKER_07]: When John was opening that coconut and that image of Andy looking at him, I was like, it's a coconut.

[00:47:24] [SPEAKER_07]: But it was the way it was.

[00:47:29] [SPEAKER_07]: Chewing very.

[00:47:31] [SPEAKER_07]: You already see how open this coconut, you won't let him over.

[00:47:36] [SPEAKER_06]: You're not going to get none of my coconut.

[00:47:39] [SPEAKER_06]: It was it was that for me took me out.

[00:47:43] [SPEAKER_06]: And Bryce. Oh, go ahead.

[00:47:45] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm sorry.

[00:47:46] [SPEAKER_06]: But I just want to say, like, I relate to Andy.

[00:47:52] [SPEAKER_06]: Tremendously, and I feel like a lot of people can relate to Andy where there's points in your life where you grow leaps and bounds, and I feel like I struggle with this to this day where it's like I am mentally at some place that I want to be.

[00:48:08] [SPEAKER_06]: And then at times I get put in positions where a window you can attest to this.

[00:48:13] [SPEAKER_06]: I get put in positions where I am uncomfortable.

[00:48:17] [SPEAKER_06]: And when I am uncomfortable.

[00:48:20] [SPEAKER_06]: Baby, I am not the same.

[00:48:24] [SPEAKER_06]: Right. And it is a turn off to some of my friends.

[00:48:28] [SPEAKER_06]: I go into my I go into defense mechanisms that keep me safe.

[00:48:32] [SPEAKER_06]: I eat Irish goodbyes.

[00:48:34] [SPEAKER_06]: I like clam up.

[00:48:35] [SPEAKER_06]: So like seeing Andy in this moment, I related to him a thousand percent.

[00:48:43] [SPEAKER_06]: And I can understand why you would want to take Rachel off because it's like you need a connection with someone just to see you.

[00:48:50] [SPEAKER_06]: So it's like I relate to that.

[00:48:52] [SPEAKER_06]: That's like real ish.

[00:48:54] [SPEAKER_06]: And anyone that says anything negative about that experience or says that they haven't gone through anything like that.

[00:49:00] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm calling you a liar because like people like that.

[00:49:03] [SPEAKER_06]: That's real.

[00:49:03] [SPEAKER_06]: And I can relate to that.

[00:49:05] [SPEAKER_06]: So I just want to say that.

[00:49:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah.

[00:49:09] [SPEAKER_03]: It was tough to watch.

[00:49:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Definitely having met Andy as well myself and seeing kind of his journey onto the show.

[00:49:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Definitely rooting for him and glad he's still around.

[00:49:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I think this is one of those like you said, it's something that I think at some level we can all kind of relate to Bryce, because in any group setting when you kind of whether it's true or not, you catch wind that, oh, maybe this person doesn't like me.

[00:49:32] [SPEAKER_03]: And then you start thinking with that attitude, then you're going to see everything through that lens of like, do these people not like me?

[00:49:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Am I doing something wrong?

[00:49:40] [SPEAKER_03]: And then you become just like really self-conscious, really paranoid about like your own behavior.

[00:49:44] [SPEAKER_03]: And that is exactly how it starts to spiral because then things that are so minor and not a big deal suddenly become a big deal.

[00:49:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Like for Andy with the coconuts, you know, he looks like a guy who is comfortable in the outdoors and can chop a coconut.

[00:49:59] [SPEAKER_03]: John admittedly, self-admittedly says he's not.

[00:50:03] [SPEAKER_03]: And so that's when he does something good, you give him some support.

[00:50:07] [SPEAKER_03]: But, you know, like if I'm playing, if you're if it's if Jonathan Young is it chops a coconut, you're not going to be like, awesome job, Jonathan.

[00:50:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Like no way you did that.

[00:50:19] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, in a way, it's a little it's kind of a good thing that people aren't clapping for you to do normal survival tasks because it shows that you seem like you're comfortable.

[00:50:29] [SPEAKER_06]: But your insecurities won't tell you that, like your mind.

[00:50:33] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah. Like, you know.

[00:50:35] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, your mind won't.

[00:50:37] [SPEAKER_09]: But again, like maybe they were rooting for homeboy because they're like, man, this fool can't open a coconut.

[00:50:43] [SPEAKER_07]: Don't tell Andy that though.

[00:50:46] [SPEAKER_06]: And like why they zoom in on his face like that?

[00:50:54] [SPEAKER_06]: Like, you ain't going to do my dog like that.

[00:50:57] [SPEAKER_03]: It is a testament to the fact of like, you know, it's not every tribe, it's not every season, but.

[00:51:05] [SPEAKER_03]: The benefits that you have in this game as like a fit guy, right?

[00:51:10] [SPEAKER_03]: You could tank your you could really take your own game and somehow stick around.

[00:51:16] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like, you know, if I'm an Andy seeing seeing this as the evidence of what could happen, I'd go in there.

[00:51:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Just chill.

[00:51:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Just just chill.

[00:51:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Hang out. You don't have to be the most popular person.

[00:51:28] [SPEAKER_03]: You don't you know, whatever.

[00:51:30] [SPEAKER_03]: And all these things go wrong and somehow still doesn't catch a vote against them.

[00:51:36] [SPEAKER_03]: And of course, that's not the case with every group.

[00:51:38] [SPEAKER_03]: But you get a lot of liberties when when you're an athletic guy and he should be aware of that.

[00:51:43] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like, you know, going in, he is going to be looked at as an asset.

[00:51:46] [SPEAKER_03]: So don't allow yourself to get too caught up on like being a target because once you start to think you're a target, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy of.

[00:51:54] [SPEAKER_03]: And you start to do things that make you a target.

[00:51:58] [SPEAKER_09]: I think I've watched him slip and slide into like just worse and worse game moves.

[00:52:07] [SPEAKER_09]: I was like, there's no chance he's going home tonight if they lose.

[00:52:11] [SPEAKER_09]: I was like I was like, there's got someone's going to talk.

[00:52:16] [SPEAKER_09]: This is the perfect opportunity for people to talk to him and use him.

[00:52:22] [SPEAKER_09]: And because he is so out there, such a blatant like this guy is kind of spiraling, he should go.

[00:52:30] [SPEAKER_09]: Diarrhea of the mouth.

[00:52:32] [SPEAKER_09]: It's such a great opportunity to just get someone else out there.

[00:52:36] [SPEAKER_06]: Can we jump around, Jack?

[00:52:39] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.

[00:52:41] [SPEAKER_04]: Where are we going?

[00:52:43] [SPEAKER_04]: We're going to lay it down on the sand.

[00:52:47] [SPEAKER_04]: OK.

[00:52:48] [SPEAKER_07]: Going to the challenge?

[00:52:50] [SPEAKER_06]: Now, I love Andy.

[00:52:53] [SPEAKER_06]: Lord knows I do.

[00:52:54] [SPEAKER_06]: And this is coming from a place of love.

[00:52:56] [SPEAKER_06]: This is how I show love.

[00:52:58] [SPEAKER_06]: When Jeff walked over to him and said,

[00:53:05] [SPEAKER_07]: you need medical.

[00:53:08] [SPEAKER_07]: What you need?

[00:53:10] [SPEAKER_07]: And Andy said, Jeff, I need everything.

[00:53:15] [SPEAKER_03]: I think he said, I gave everything.

[00:53:19] [SPEAKER_03]: He said, I gave everything.

[00:53:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I also heard I need everything.

[00:53:24] [SPEAKER_07]: I thought he said, Jeff, I need everything.

[00:53:27] [SPEAKER_07]: What you got given here?

[00:53:30] [SPEAKER_08]: Jeff was like, medical.

[00:53:34] [SPEAKER_09]: And Jeff walked away.

[00:53:36] [SPEAKER_09]: Jeff's like, man.

[00:53:37] [SPEAKER_09]: I love it.

[00:53:38] [SPEAKER_09]: And then at the end.

[00:53:40] [SPEAKER_06]: If you said, Jeff, I need everything.

[00:53:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Andy needs to get on that merch immediately.

[00:53:49] [SPEAKER_06]: Jeff, I need everything.

[00:53:50] [SPEAKER_03]: He also hit Jeff with an I love you at the end.

[00:53:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Jeff was like, I love you too, man.

[00:53:57] [SPEAKER_09]: We haven't gotten to the end yet.

[00:53:58] [SPEAKER_09]: I'm in Rome's Watch Party in Phoenix.

[00:54:02] [SPEAKER_09]: And this is happening on the screen.

[00:54:04] [SPEAKER_09]: And I'm sitting next to Arianne, one of my co-hosts on Extreme.

[00:54:07] [SPEAKER_09]: She's never watched Survivor before.

[00:54:09] [SPEAKER_09]: This was a quote.

[00:54:10] [SPEAKER_09]: She said, the fact that you got people coming out the bushes

[00:54:15] [SPEAKER_09]: to take care of this guy.

[00:54:16] [SPEAKER_09]: He was shaking like a fish.

[00:54:19] [SPEAKER_09]: I'm like, cause he was.

[00:54:23] [SPEAKER_06]: Bruh, he was all right though.

[00:54:25] [SPEAKER_06]: It was his pride, right?

[00:54:27] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.

[00:54:28] [SPEAKER_06]: But this is what I can say to you as someone that knows Andy.

[00:54:32] [SPEAKER_06]: When they got back up after they lost and Jeff was talking to him,

[00:54:38] [SPEAKER_06]: looking in Andy's eyes, I really feel like that was not Andy.

[00:54:43] [SPEAKER_06]: I really feel like, have y'all ever been in those moments

[00:54:46] [SPEAKER_06]: where your adrenaline is running and you're like,

[00:54:48] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know what the hell is coming out of my mouth.

[00:54:51] [SPEAKER_06]: I was looking at his eyes and I was like, this is not Andy right now.

[00:54:57] [SPEAKER_06]: He's just on auto.

[00:55:00] [SPEAKER_06]: It's not him.

[00:55:03] [SPEAKER_06]: Again, my heart goes out to him.

[00:55:05] [SPEAKER_06]: I know my Andy.

[00:55:06] [SPEAKER_06]: I love my Andy.

[00:55:07] [SPEAKER_06]: It was really hard to watch him speak in that moment

[00:55:12] [SPEAKER_06]: because it really felt like it was not him at all.

[00:55:17] [SPEAKER_06]: A panic attack? What was it?

[00:55:19] [SPEAKER_06]: Something.

[00:55:20] [SPEAKER_06]: It was some type of maybe heat-induced psychosis for a second.

[00:55:24] [SPEAKER_06]: I just really believe that was not him in that moment.

[00:55:29] [SPEAKER_06]: He had the raps.

[00:55:30] [SPEAKER_09]: He had the nervous raps or something.

[00:55:32] [SPEAKER_09]: Whatever it was, he couldn't stop talking.

[00:55:35] [SPEAKER_03]: The heat definitely had him exhausted.

[00:55:37] [SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't to the point where he needed too much medical attention.

[00:55:41] [SPEAKER_03]: But I could tell he was gassed.

[00:55:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Combined with the emotional turmoil he was going through,

[00:55:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I think just threw him into a craze.

[00:55:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Now that we're talking about it,

[00:55:56] [SPEAKER_03]: that speech he gave was wild.

[00:56:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Best answer would have been to just not say anything, right?

[00:56:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, 100%.

[00:56:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Or just spit it a good way.

[00:56:06] [SPEAKER_03]: But to be in front of everyone like, I'm a strategist.

[00:56:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I know everyone's against me.

[00:56:11] [SPEAKER_03]: I know I'm at the bottom.

[00:56:13] [SPEAKER_03]: John's my best friend, but I'm going to throw him under the bus.

[00:56:15] [SPEAKER_03]: All of those things are things that you should not say.

[00:56:19] [SPEAKER_03]: It was not good.

[00:56:20] [SPEAKER_06]: But I also just think about,

[00:56:24] [SPEAKER_06]: for me, it puts me in his mindset.

[00:56:28] [SPEAKER_06]: I almost felt like I could hear the voices in his head.

[00:56:32] [SPEAKER_06]: I felt like what he was saying

[00:56:34] [SPEAKER_06]: was answering all the negativity in his head.

[00:56:38] [SPEAKER_06]: That's what he was responding to.

[00:56:40] [SPEAKER_06]: But for me, it was the other tribes.

[00:56:42] [SPEAKER_06]: I saw Tiana's mouth just like...

[00:56:46] [SPEAKER_06]: I saw Teenie like, yeah, it was hard to watch.

[00:56:52] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm sure other people have different takes on it,

[00:56:54] [SPEAKER_06]: but it was definitely hard to watch.

[00:56:56] [SPEAKER_06]: But in the grand scheme of things,

[00:56:59] [SPEAKER_06]: is it a bad strategy?

[00:57:02] [SPEAKER_09]: Yes.

[00:57:04] [SPEAKER_09]: I have one other quotable from the Watch Party in Phoenix

[00:57:08] [SPEAKER_09]: from our good friend Tyson.

[00:57:11] [SPEAKER_09]: Tyson Abate?

[00:57:13] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, Addispool?

[00:57:17] [SPEAKER_09]: Tyson?

[00:57:18] [SPEAKER_09]: Tyson Abate, Addispool?

[00:57:20] [SPEAKER_09]: No, I mean, no, I got it mixed up with Addispool.

[00:57:24] [SPEAKER_09]: Apostle.

[00:57:25] [SPEAKER_09]: Tyson Apostle, yes.

[00:57:27] [SPEAKER_09]: He said he knows he's digging his own grave

[00:57:30] [SPEAKER_09]: and can't stop himself.

[00:57:33] [SPEAKER_09]: He couldn't stop.

[00:57:35] [SPEAKER_09]: He was going.

[00:57:37] [SPEAKER_09]: And I guess all eyes are on you.

[00:57:40] [SPEAKER_09]: You just had whatever kind of a meltdown.

[00:57:44] [SPEAKER_09]: And instead of just saying, you know what?

[00:57:46] [SPEAKER_09]: I'm just not going to self-incriminate.

[00:57:49] [SPEAKER_09]: You just keep rapping just to get something out there.

[00:57:53] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, sorry.

[00:57:54] [SPEAKER_06]: And so, excuse me, I hate to keep jumping all around, right?

[00:57:59] [SPEAKER_06]: I really do feel like the edit, right?

[00:58:03] [SPEAKER_06]: I really do feel like they would have had to do a good job of...

[00:58:10] [SPEAKER_06]: I think Andy made a good enough impression with his tribe.

[00:58:13] [SPEAKER_06]: Like, I think that they saw the good in him, right?

[00:58:16] [SPEAKER_06]: And I also think that first impression that I felt of Andy

[00:58:20] [SPEAKER_06]: and of John, I feel like there had to have been more moments of that.

[00:58:26] [SPEAKER_06]: That we just didn't see.

[00:58:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Or that other people picked up on that.

[00:58:29] [SPEAKER_06]: Because just the way the vote shook out, like...

[00:58:34] [SPEAKER_06]: You're saying how snobby he is?

[00:58:36] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, like, yes.

[00:58:37] [SPEAKER_06]: Like how... I think that they hid that from us.

[00:58:41] [SPEAKER_06]: Like, we didn't get to see a lot of those moments.

[00:58:43] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure they definitely could tell he was a threat in the long run.

[00:58:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Is what you're kind of saying.

[00:58:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.

[00:58:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, absolutely.

[00:58:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I guess before we get over to the post-challenge stuff

[00:58:57] [SPEAKER_03]: and that ultimate decision,

[00:59:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I'd love to jump back to the other camps real quick.

[00:59:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.

[00:59:05] [SPEAKER_03]: We got Lavo in red and Tuku in the blue.

[00:59:10] [SPEAKER_03]: So over on Tuku...

[00:59:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Sorry, I put up the...

[00:59:14] [SPEAKER_03]: My bad.

[00:59:16] [SPEAKER_03]: So they get back to their camp.

[00:59:19] [SPEAKER_03]: TK has won this extra supplies.

[00:59:22] [SPEAKER_03]: And sort of the main thing going on over there is

[00:59:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Sue is actually making some really strong connections.

[00:59:27] [SPEAKER_03]: She's got a good connection with Gabe,

[00:59:29] [SPEAKER_03]: good connection with Caroline.

[00:59:31] [SPEAKER_03]: TK immediately is sort of...

[00:59:34] [SPEAKER_03]: The guys are kind of immediately gravitating towards TK,

[00:59:38] [SPEAKER_03]: especially after this big challenge win.

[00:59:40] [SPEAKER_03]: And then another big story over there is

[00:59:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Gabe finding this beware advantage again.

[00:59:45] [SPEAKER_03]: TK catches him working the vines.

[00:59:48] [SPEAKER_03]: And there's kind of some half-lies and weirdness going on there.

[00:59:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Gabe also clues in Sue,

[00:59:55] [SPEAKER_03]: who gives him a lookout and gives a shout

[00:59:58] [SPEAKER_03]: when people are approaching.

[01:00:01] [SPEAKER_03]: And then ultimately, like we talked about a little bit earlier,

[01:00:03] [SPEAKER_03]: he finds two boxes and then secures this three tribal idol.

[01:00:09] [SPEAKER_03]: So what to you guys is standing out on Tuku?

[01:00:12] [SPEAKER_09]: When you just showed the photo of their tribe, Bryce,

[01:00:19] [SPEAKER_09]: I was just like, man, they look strong.

[01:00:21] [SPEAKER_09]: They do.

[01:00:22] [SPEAKER_09]: The women look strong. The men look strong.

[01:00:27] [SPEAKER_09]: Homeboy from Baltimore that found the idol.

[01:00:29] [SPEAKER_09]: Gabe, I'm sorry.

[01:00:31] [SPEAKER_09]: I think he's going to spice the game up

[01:00:33] [SPEAKER_09]: and he's going to be interesting to watch.

[01:00:35] [SPEAKER_09]: I like his alliance with Sue.

[01:00:37] [SPEAKER_09]: That's an interesting combo for sure.

[01:00:40] [SPEAKER_09]: But even my man Kyle

[01:00:44] [SPEAKER_09]: that looks like JT, reminds me of JT.

[01:00:50] [SPEAKER_09]: This is a strong looking tribe.

[01:00:52] [SPEAKER_09]: That's all I'm saying.

[01:00:54] [SPEAKER_06]: I've got some hot takes.

[01:00:57] [SPEAKER_06]: Should I come out swinging?

[01:01:00] [SPEAKER_06]: So one, I really love Kyle, right?

[01:01:03] [SPEAKER_06]: I did a preseason of Kyle and I was like,

[01:01:05] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know how Kyle's going to do.

[01:01:07] [SPEAKER_06]: Hearing Kyle's story about being a foster care at 26 homes,

[01:01:10] [SPEAKER_06]: you know, me as a social worker, right?

[01:01:12] [SPEAKER_06]: Like I automatically gravitate to Kyle.

[01:01:14] [SPEAKER_06]: I think Kyle has an ability to adapt.

[01:01:18] [SPEAKER_06]: So I am really loving Kyle a lot.

[01:01:22] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.

[01:01:23] [SPEAKER_06]: I like Gabe.

[01:01:24] [SPEAKER_06]: I think Gabe is playing a really, really strategic game.

[01:01:27] [SPEAKER_06]: But for me, it is interesting that he chose not to bring in TK.

[01:01:32] [SPEAKER_06]: Even though TK is clearly not dumb.

[01:01:35] [SPEAKER_06]: And TK is like, you ain't just shaking no vines

[01:01:38] [SPEAKER_06]: and you find the key.

[01:01:41] [SPEAKER_06]: So that was interesting.

[01:01:43] [SPEAKER_06]: But then I also thought it was interesting that like,

[01:01:44] [SPEAKER_06]: you know, then he kind of like tell Sue.

[01:01:47] [SPEAKER_06]: And I'm like, oh, okay.

[01:01:48] [SPEAKER_08]: And it's all from the DMV.

[01:01:51] [SPEAKER_06]: Right.

[01:01:52] [SPEAKER_06]: They have a connection.

[01:01:54] [SPEAKER_06]: So I thought that was interesting.

[01:01:55] [SPEAKER_06]: However, I love Gabe's approach as to an older person on the tribe.

[01:02:03] [SPEAKER_06]: Somebody like a Sue, like who normally is,

[01:02:07] [SPEAKER_06]: you know, looked at as the weak.

[01:02:08] [SPEAKER_06]: Like bringing them in.

[01:02:10] [SPEAKER_06]: But I also find from the edit that I felt like,

[01:02:13] [SPEAKER_06]: although Sue was happy with Gabe,

[01:02:15] [SPEAKER_06]: in my perception, it seemed like we've seen a little more time

[01:02:18] [SPEAKER_06]: with Sue and her daughter than Sue and Gabe.

[01:02:22] [SPEAKER_06]: But I love this connection with Sue.

[01:02:24] [SPEAKER_06]: And I definitely think this tribe is strong.

[01:02:27] [SPEAKER_06]: And so I like them a lot.

[01:02:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[01:02:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[01:02:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I kind of think Gabe and Rome somewhat are sort of two sides

[01:02:34] [SPEAKER_03]: of the same coin.

[01:02:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, you know, they both have this line of.

[01:02:40] [SPEAKER_03]: They find this beware advantage.

[01:02:41] [SPEAKER_03]: They go a little too hard preseason.

[01:02:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I think a lot of people were concerned that these guys were going to go

[01:02:46] [SPEAKER_03]: a little bit too hard, be a little bit cocky.

[01:02:49] [SPEAKER_03]: And now that they have a little bit of ammunition,

[01:02:51] [SPEAKER_03]: it'll be interesting to watch.

[01:02:52] [SPEAKER_03]: But I do think both of them might fizzle out pretty early.

[01:02:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Just because they're a little too enthusiastic.

[01:03:02] [SPEAKER_09]: They are.

[01:03:02] [SPEAKER_09]: If there's one person I'm worried for,

[01:03:05] [SPEAKER_09]: it would be Gabe on that tribe for sure.

[01:03:08] [SPEAKER_09]: Because of that.

[01:03:09] [SPEAKER_09]: But who knows?

[01:03:11] [SPEAKER_09]: Like what's going to happen with this advantage,

[01:03:13] [SPEAKER_09]: how he finds it, how he uses it.

[01:03:16] [SPEAKER_06]: It was when Gabe dropped the box and Tiana's like,

[01:03:19] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know what's going on over there,

[01:03:21] [SPEAKER_06]: but that don't sound like rocks.

[01:03:24] [SPEAKER_06]: Shout out to Sue.

[01:03:25] [SPEAKER_06]: Like he gave firewood girl.

[01:03:30] [SPEAKER_06]: That ain't no firewood.

[01:03:31] [SPEAKER_06]: That's what it says.

[01:03:32] [SPEAKER_06]: But I liked how Sue was initially trying to cover for him.

[01:03:37] [SPEAKER_06]: So yeah, I like Sue as well.

[01:03:39] [SPEAKER_06]: I feel like Sue is strong.

[01:03:41] [SPEAKER_06]: I feel like Sue is feisty.

[01:03:43] [SPEAKER_06]: I really hope Sue goes deep in the game.

[01:03:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, Sue was so fun preseason.

[01:03:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I was a little worried for her as the older woman

[01:03:52] [SPEAKER_03]: who's a little bit quirky that she'd struggle to make connections.

[01:03:55] [SPEAKER_03]: And so far she seems like she's at the center of this tribe.

[01:03:58] [SPEAKER_03]: So I'm really excited for Sue and think she could go deep.

[01:04:02] [SPEAKER_03]: And yeah, I worry for Gabe again.

[01:04:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Like some people just look like they're plotting kind of.

[01:04:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Like the way that his eyebrows would like arch

[01:04:12] [SPEAKER_03]: when he was like talking strategy

[01:04:15] [SPEAKER_03]: looked almost like kind of villainous.

[01:04:17] [SPEAKER_03]: And I don't know.

[01:04:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Like personally speaking, he seems like a really chill guy,

[01:04:23] [SPEAKER_03]: but it seems like strategically,

[01:04:25] [SPEAKER_03]: like perception wise people might see him as, you know,

[01:04:28] [SPEAKER_03]: hey, he's already running off doing things.

[01:04:31] [SPEAKER_03]: And if that's the perception people have in mind to see him,

[01:04:34] [SPEAKER_03]: like I could just tell when he's like concentrating

[01:04:36] [SPEAKER_03]: and like thinking strategy in the brows like angle.

[01:04:39] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm like this dude looks like he's going to stab me in the back.

[01:04:43] [SPEAKER_03]: And I feel like he said he was going to come into the game

[01:04:45] [SPEAKER_03]: and play like that. Exactly.

[01:04:47] [SPEAKER_06]: So it all kind of.

[01:04:49] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm a gambling man, Jack.

[01:04:50] [SPEAKER_06]: I feel like y'all would have a lot in common.

[01:04:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Now, would I love to play some cards?

[01:04:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Gabe? Absolutely.

[01:04:57] [SPEAKER_03]: But I honestly don't consider myself that much of a gambler.

[01:05:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Like I'm all I love poker.

[01:05:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I love Jack. I know.

[01:05:03] [SPEAKER_03]: So we'll hear the thing. I love poker.

[01:05:05] [SPEAKER_03]: I play a lot of poker. I don't necessarily.

[01:05:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Of course, that's gambling.

[01:05:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Of course it's gambling.

[01:05:10] [SPEAKER_03]: But when you're a certain like.

[01:05:13] [SPEAKER_03]: I would say I'm a very good poker player and I.

[01:05:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, I mean, who would say they not though?

[01:05:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Some people.

[01:05:19] [SPEAKER_03]: I also have the stats to back it up.

[01:05:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I keep track of all the games I play.

[01:05:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I know, but I keep track of my profit, which is good.

[01:05:28] [SPEAKER_03]: So I'm a good enough player where I'm making informed decisions.

[01:05:32] [SPEAKER_03]: I would say, right.

[01:05:34] [SPEAKER_03]: If you bring me to a roulette table where it's 50-50 or not even.

[01:05:38] [SPEAKER_03]: And that that to me is like blackjack roulette.

[01:05:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Other games like that that are pure gambling.

[01:05:43] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't like to play those.

[01:05:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I like poker because I know that generally I'm one of the better

[01:05:49] [SPEAKER_03]: players at any at the table.

[01:05:50] [SPEAKER_03]: And so maybe if the odds basically if you're gambling,

[01:05:54] [SPEAKER_03]: you're not good enough.

[01:05:55] [SPEAKER_03]: I like a gamble where the odds are in my favor because in the

[01:05:58] [SPEAKER_03]: long run, you'll make money.

[01:05:59] [SPEAKER_06]: Well, I think every gambler says that though, Jack.

[01:06:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but not all of them.

[01:06:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Not all of them.

[01:06:03] [SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, but if you go to find someone at the roulette table,

[01:06:07] [SPEAKER_03]: that's not just just not how roulette works, but people still

[01:06:10] [SPEAKER_03]: gamble on it.

[01:06:11] [SPEAKER_03]: But I don't do that.

[01:06:12] [SPEAKER_03]: If you but if you give me a gamble where I'm going to win 60%

[01:06:15] [SPEAKER_03]: of the time and lose 40% of the time, I'll take it every time

[01:06:18] [SPEAKER_03]: because then you're have a, you know, good expect you.

[01:06:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Then you're going to have a good outcome because long term

[01:06:23] [SPEAKER_03]: you're going to win.

[01:06:24] [SPEAKER_03]: But I don't like to gamble on things that are 5050 because

[01:06:27] [SPEAKER_03]: there's no advantage.

[01:06:30] [SPEAKER_03]: But I mean, so on paper, yes, I'm a gambler.

[01:06:33] [SPEAKER_03]: But in my spirit, I would not say that I'm a gambler.

[01:06:38] [SPEAKER_03]: I like to I like calculated risk, right?

[01:06:41] [SPEAKER_03]: And Gabe would probably agree with that.

[01:06:42] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, Gabe is probably a calculated risk guy as well.

[01:06:44] [SPEAKER_06]: I feel like you just trying to basically say that like, I'm

[01:06:47] [SPEAKER_06]: a good, I'm a good gambler.

[01:06:49] [SPEAKER_06]: So I don't consider myself a gambler.

[01:06:51] [SPEAKER_03]: But poker is different than poker is different than other games

[01:06:54] [SPEAKER_06]: though, because it's gambling, Jack.

[01:06:56] [SPEAKER_09]: Yes, I surprised.

[01:06:58] [SPEAKER_09]: Have you ever given Jack money to gamble with?

[01:07:03] [SPEAKER_09]: What?

[01:07:04] [SPEAKER_04]: No, not a gambler.

[01:07:07] [SPEAKER_04]: What's up?

[01:07:08] [SPEAKER_04]: No, I've never given him money to gamble.

[01:07:11] [SPEAKER_04]: I want you money playing poker.

[01:07:13] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, well, well, that do you remember the night that I gave

[01:07:22] [SPEAKER_06]: you money to gamble?

[01:07:23] [SPEAKER_03]: You were under the influence.

[01:07:25] [SPEAKER_07]: What else did we do that day?

[01:07:27] [SPEAKER_03]: We went to Desi's bonfire.

[01:07:30] [SPEAKER_03]: What else did we do that day?

[01:07:34] [SPEAKER_06]: We had a Jack and I window had a two and a half hour

[01:07:40] [SPEAKER_06]: rat cipher.

[01:07:41] [SPEAKER_06]: You don't remember that, Jack?

[01:07:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, that was that night.

[01:07:44] [SPEAKER_06]: That was that night.

[01:07:46] [SPEAKER_06]: Jack was a beat.

[01:07:48] [SPEAKER_06]: We go out after the beach.

[01:07:50] [SPEAKER_06]: We know we went out first and then we walked back and then I

[01:07:53] [SPEAKER_03]: just once I record after the beach, so we go out and then we

[01:07:59] [SPEAKER_03]: walk back and then I just once I record after the beach, so we

[01:07:59] [SPEAKER_03]: definitely were out there.

[01:08:01] [SPEAKER_03]: OK, we was being bars down.

[01:08:03] [SPEAKER_06]: It's facts.

[01:08:04] [SPEAKER_06]: But you're a gambler, Jack.

[01:08:06] [SPEAKER_06]: It's fine.

[01:08:08] [SPEAKER_06]: Look, I'll just it's OK whether that's your one.

[01:08:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.

[01:08:13] [SPEAKER_01]: You know what?

[01:08:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Wait.

[01:08:15] [SPEAKER_06]: OK, let me just say this.

[01:08:19] [SPEAKER_06]: I do take my clothes off.

[01:08:22] [SPEAKER_06]: For money, but I am not a stripper or an exotic dancer

[01:08:31] [SPEAKER_06]: and when he moves, I'm good at it.

[01:08:37] [SPEAKER_06]: And so they don't throw dollars at me.

[01:08:41] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, they pay bills.

[01:08:43] [SPEAKER_06]: So I'm not OK.

[01:08:46] [SPEAKER_03]: An exotic dancer.

[01:08:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I guess it depends how you define a gambler.

[01:08:49] [SPEAKER_03]: For me, some people will take a 50 50 risk or even worse all the

[01:08:55] [SPEAKER_03]: time. And that's purely gambling.

[01:08:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Like but for me, I only like to take risks if I feel that the I

[01:09:01] [SPEAKER_03]: have an edge, like the odds are in my favor.

[01:09:04] [SPEAKER_03]: So it's not gambling, but it's a profitable way to gamble because

[01:09:07] [SPEAKER_03]: you know, in the long run, you're going to profit.

[01:09:10] [SPEAKER_03]: What what games are what?

[01:09:11] [SPEAKER_09]: What what games do you play with those risks?

[01:09:16] [SPEAKER_09]: None.

[01:09:17] [SPEAKER_09]: No, with the 60 percent.

[01:09:20] [SPEAKER_09]: What are you?

[01:09:21] [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, poker. OK.

[01:09:22] [SPEAKER_03]: And that's because if you're if you're just you're playing against

[01:09:25] [SPEAKER_03]: other people, you're not playing against the house.

[01:09:26] [SPEAKER_06]: Never. You've never gave money in a fantasy football drive.

[01:09:30] [SPEAKER_03]: I also think I'm better at fantasy football than the people I compete

[01:09:34] [SPEAKER_03]: with. Now, how have I played blackjack, craps like that, where I'm

[01:09:39] [SPEAKER_03]: most likely going to lose my money yet, but I don't do it a lot and

[01:09:42] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't do it with any large amount of money that I if I go to the

[01:09:46] [SPEAKER_03]: casino, maybe I'll do 50 bucks on craps with my friends and like have

[01:09:49] [SPEAKER_03]: fun playing and I might lose the 50 bucks, but I had fun.

[01:09:52] [SPEAKER_06]: But I want to let me just get it straight window.

[01:09:54] [SPEAKER_06]: So I know the things Jack are good at.

[01:09:59] [SPEAKER_06]: He is above the odds.

[01:10:01] [SPEAKER_06]: So like it's not gambling because he's better at most of the people that

[01:10:05] [SPEAKER_03]: do it. Yeah, but most casino games, you're not good at.

[01:10:09] [SPEAKER_03]: You're not good at. Now.

[01:10:10] [SPEAKER_06]: Now we cross over to fantasy football.

[01:10:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[01:10:14] [SPEAKER_03]: So we had this argument before.

[01:10:17] [SPEAKER_03]: There's things you can gamble on where you have an edge like things

[01:10:21] [SPEAKER_03]: that require knowledge like fantasy football or strategy or like

[01:10:25] [SPEAKER_03]: poker. But if you go and play roulette, I'm not I'm not better than

[01:10:29] [SPEAKER_03]: anyone at roulette because you're just picking black or red.

[01:10:33] [SPEAKER_03]: And some people love to go do that.

[01:10:35] [SPEAKER_03]: And I would call that you love gambling.

[01:10:38] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't like I'm not arguing that minutiae.

[01:10:42] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm just I'm just saying that like sure, you're a good gambler, but

[01:10:46] [SPEAKER_06]: you're a gambler. But I wouldn't say I'm a good gambler.

[01:10:48] [SPEAKER_06]: I would say I'm a good poker player.

[01:10:51] [SPEAKER_06]: Is poker considered gambling?

[01:10:53] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like a square or rectangle like is it's a different we've been on

[01:10:58] [SPEAKER_06]: this damn topic because Jack's not going to wiggle his way out of this.

[01:11:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I've already wiggled my way out of it.

[01:11:05] [SPEAKER_03]: You have it.

[01:11:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay. I would say, okay, I love gambling when it's something that I have

[01:11:12] [SPEAKER_03]: good odds in. I do not like to gamble when I have bad odds.

[01:11:16] [SPEAKER_06]: Y'all know, maybe you're eating a snack. Wait, wait, hold on.

[01:11:19] [SPEAKER_06]: Hey, Siri.

[01:11:21] [SPEAKER_06]: Hey, Siri is poker considered.

[01:11:23] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to call it up.

[01:11:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Drop in the guys, drop in the comments.

[01:11:29] [SPEAKER_06]: Yes, poker is considered gambling.

[01:11:31] [SPEAKER_06]: Thank you. Wait, Siri, can you say that out loud?

[01:11:35] [SPEAKER_03]: But there's a thing.

[01:11:36] [SPEAKER_03]: There's a difference between saying that I gamble and that I love to be

[01:11:39] [SPEAKER_06]: gambling. Now you're getting into the semantics.

[01:11:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, exactly. That's why we've been arguing for five minutes, but I don't

[01:11:46] [SPEAKER_03]: know how you've been saying you're superior.

[01:11:48] [SPEAKER_03]: So it's not considered gambling.

[01:11:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I would say it's still gambling, but it's a form of gambling that is like,

[01:11:53] [SPEAKER_03]: to me, I think of gambling. It's like you're taking a risk where you don't

[01:11:56] [SPEAKER_03]: really know what's going to happen. It's a complete gamble.

[01:11:59] [SPEAKER_06]: Wendell, one survivor, one time. He's not a good survivor player.

[01:12:03] [SPEAKER_06]: Like he's not like a...

[01:12:07] [SPEAKER_06]: Alright, Jack.

[01:12:08] [SPEAKER_09]: You lost Wendell with that one.

[01:12:11] [SPEAKER_09]: Bryce, watch yourself.

[01:12:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Jack, I've talked to you many a days and you ain't been this good of a poker

[01:12:19] [SPEAKER_06]: player. Okay?

[01:12:20] [SPEAKER_06]: I'll show you my chart afterwards.

[01:12:22] [SPEAKER_06]: No, no. It doesn't...

[01:12:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm up a cool 20K. So let's...

[01:12:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Is that gambling, Bryce?

[01:12:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Over 580 hours, I'm up.

[01:12:35] [SPEAKER_07]: My britches got a little wet.

[01:12:38] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, Jack!

[01:12:41] [SPEAKER_07]: Now you're speaking my language.

[01:12:43] [SPEAKER_07]: Now you're speaking my language, Jack.

[01:12:45] [SPEAKER_03]: If someone's done something for a thousand hours and they're up

[01:12:49] [SPEAKER_03]: $20,000, are they a gambler?

[01:12:56] [SPEAKER_09]: That's what I...

[01:12:57] [SPEAKER_09]: Okay, Jack. You good. Listen, you good.

[01:13:00] [SPEAKER_09]: Jack, you good at what you do.

[01:13:01] [SPEAKER_09]: What you making? 10 bucks an hour? Is that the max?

[01:13:07] [SPEAKER_07]: 16 bucks an hour. Yeah, I'm making minimum wage.

[01:13:10] [SPEAKER_07]: Jack, you got part-time job.

[01:13:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. Exactly.

[01:13:15] [SPEAKER_01]: If you could make minimum wage doing something you enjoy doing,

[01:13:18] [SPEAKER_01]: you would take that.

[01:13:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Wait, didn't you say you played for 10,000 hours?

[01:13:24] [SPEAKER_07]: No, a thousand hours.

[01:13:26] [SPEAKER_10]: 10,000 hours.

[01:13:29] [SPEAKER_07]: Jack, you get a break.

[01:13:31] [SPEAKER_07]: You get a 30-minute break.

[01:13:37] [SPEAKER_08]: He got a plug in.

[01:13:39] [SPEAKER_01]: If you could do something you enjoy doing and make minimum wage doing it...

[01:13:42] [SPEAKER_08]: That sounds like a video game.

[01:13:44] [SPEAKER_08]: They pay me 10 cents an hour, Jack.

[01:13:49] [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, Jack.

[01:13:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Bryce, I don't...

[01:13:55] [SPEAKER_03]: We can't all win Survivor, bro. Someone's got to do it the hard way.

[01:14:00] [SPEAKER_07]: Jack, was you reading your W-2s?

[01:14:04] [SPEAKER_07]: I played 10,000 hours.

[01:14:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Not 10,000. I'm not Malcolm Gladwell.

[01:14:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I said a thousand.

[01:14:11] [SPEAKER_03]: I said a thousand.

[01:14:16] [SPEAKER_08]: Jack, man.

[01:14:18] [SPEAKER_08]: Over like a long time.

[01:14:21] [SPEAKER_08]: 10,000 hours. You're an expert, bro.

[01:14:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I did not say 10,000. I said 1,000.

[01:14:28] [SPEAKER_07]: Do they provide you a uniform?

[01:14:31] [SPEAKER_07]: He's got a doctorate in gambling.

[01:14:39] [SPEAKER_01]: I get a check even when I make money. It's crazy.

[01:14:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my God.

[01:14:45] [SPEAKER_08]: Jack, I'm sorry.

[01:14:49] [SPEAKER_08]: I didn't know we were talking to a PhD, Bryce.

[01:15:00] [SPEAKER_09]: You did 10,000 hours. You're an expert, Jack.

[01:15:03] [SPEAKER_09]: I said a thousand.

[01:15:05] [SPEAKER_09]: That's why he's not a gambler.

[01:15:09] [SPEAKER_07]: You got to do a certain amount of hours.

[01:15:12] [SPEAKER_01]: I can't win.

[01:15:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Episode one, I'm already getting bullied.

[01:15:17] [SPEAKER_01]: I only had four friends in high school, too.

[01:15:23] [SPEAKER_01]: My whole podcast, nobody likes me.

[01:15:29] [SPEAKER_07]: I was eating my chocolate-covered pretzels and no one clapped.

[01:15:33] [SPEAKER_07]: Jack, how do you find the time to podcast when you got us?

[01:15:37] [SPEAKER_01]: That's over like five years. That's not that much.

[01:15:41] [SPEAKER_01]: He's only 24 hours in the day, though.

[01:15:44] [SPEAKER_01]: So over five years, you do 200 hours a year?

[01:15:50] [SPEAKER_03]: That's not that much.

[01:15:51] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm 22 years old, Jack.

[01:15:54] [SPEAKER_08]: My man's been gambling since the...

[01:16:00] [SPEAKER_07]: That's true.

[01:16:03] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, Jack.

[01:16:04] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, my God.

[01:16:07] [SPEAKER_07]: When did you start logging your hours?

[01:16:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Some of these hours are from before I was logging.

[01:16:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Wait, how do you quantify that?

[01:16:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I have 580 hours logged.

[01:16:25] [SPEAKER_03]: And I was guesstimating before that I probably played another...

[01:16:29] [SPEAKER_03]: 5-600.

[01:16:30] [SPEAKER_09]: So technically, you've logged 580.

[01:16:34] [SPEAKER_09]: So that means 9,420 were...

[01:16:42] [SPEAKER_09]: Wendell, I said 1,000, not 1,000.

[01:16:46] [SPEAKER_09]: This month.

[01:16:50] [SPEAKER_09]: Got it.

[01:16:51] [SPEAKER_09]: Now, the last thing is, so it's not time fraud.

[01:16:55] [SPEAKER_09]: Are you logging hours currently while we're podding also or...

[01:16:59] [SPEAKER_09]: Because you can get in trouble for that.

[01:17:02] [SPEAKER_09]: Just asking.

[01:17:03] [SPEAKER_09]: Okay, back to Survivor.

[01:17:05] [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, I'm done with this.

[01:17:08] [SPEAKER_06]: Do you have these stats anywhere else other than your phone?

[01:17:11] [SPEAKER_06]: You just keep them for...

[01:17:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Like when you intercompete.

[01:17:16] [SPEAKER_06]: Now, this is a serious question.

[01:17:18] [SPEAKER_04]: What do you do with those?

[01:17:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I think if you are going to, I guess, generally engage in any form of gambling,

[01:17:29] [SPEAKER_03]: you should keep track of how you do to make sure.

[01:17:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Because naturally, people tend to think that they make more money than they do

[01:17:35] [SPEAKER_03]: or lose less than they do.

[01:17:37] [SPEAKER_03]: So if you track it, you can hold yourself accountable

[01:17:40] [SPEAKER_03]: and know if you're actually doing well.

[01:17:43] [SPEAKER_09]: I think that's a good idea.

[01:17:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[01:17:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Because otherwise, you just go, you never track it, you lose a lot,

[01:17:49] [SPEAKER_03]: and you'll be like, oh, I didn't lose that much.

[01:17:51] [SPEAKER_03]: And then you go do it more because you don't think you're losing.

[01:17:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[01:17:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Anyways.

[01:17:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I just shared the thing I'm most proud of.

[01:18:01] [SPEAKER_03]: And got it.

[01:18:04] [SPEAKER_06]: Don't do that.

[01:18:05] [SPEAKER_06]: I've invested in that, Jack.

[01:18:07] [SPEAKER_06]: Don't do that.

[01:18:09] [SPEAKER_03]: If you're the IRS, this is a fictional podcast.

[01:18:14] [SPEAKER_03]: You don't...

[01:18:15] [SPEAKER_01]: It's only a hobby.

[01:18:17] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a hobby.

[01:18:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I've made $20,000, but I've lost $21,000.

[01:18:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Not out here.

[01:18:28] [SPEAKER_01]: That's for the IRS.

[01:18:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[01:18:32] [SPEAKER_01]: So now we're back over here.

[01:18:33] [SPEAKER_04]: What's nine plus seven?

[01:18:35] [SPEAKER_04]: 16.

[01:18:37] [SPEAKER_04]: Isn't it 21?

[01:18:39] [SPEAKER_04]: 21.

[01:18:42] [SPEAKER_03]: So I thought it was nine plus 10.

[01:18:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Was that me?

[01:18:45] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, okay.

[01:18:46] [SPEAKER_06]: LeBron James.

[01:18:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you know what Vine is?

[01:18:53] [SPEAKER_09]: Wendell, do you know what Vine is?

[01:18:55] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, actually, one of my first Vines

[01:18:58] [SPEAKER_09]: was a survivor Vine at a live casting call.

[01:19:04] [SPEAKER_03]: You made it?

[01:19:06] [SPEAKER_03]: No.

[01:19:07] [SPEAKER_03]: That is not the casting call you made.

[01:19:10] [SPEAKER_09]: No, I mean, like you made a Vine during the house.

[01:19:12] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I have it on my computer still.

[01:19:15] [SPEAKER_09]: Did they cast you?

[01:19:16] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, and then I won.

[01:19:18] [SPEAKER_04]: How'd you do?

[01:19:21] [SPEAKER_04]: I didn't make a Vine.

[01:19:24] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you had a bootleg video.

[01:19:26] [SPEAKER_04]: You closed in 30 seconds of it.

[01:19:29] [SPEAKER_03]: I took a gamble.

[01:19:32] [SPEAKER_03]: You should've gotten that one tribal idol, Bryce.

[01:19:38] [SPEAKER_07]: Okay.

[01:19:40] [SPEAKER_07]: So we got the red drive.

[01:19:42] [SPEAKER_07]: Bryce wasn't thinking about the box.

[01:19:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we got the red drive.

[01:19:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Didn't see like a ton of them.

[01:19:53] [SPEAKER_03]: We have Teenie immediately building great bonds

[01:19:56] [SPEAKER_03]: with Keyshawn and Genevieve.

[01:19:58] [SPEAKER_03]: She's excited also about potentially working with Asia

[01:20:01] [SPEAKER_03]: while Genevieve really likes Rome

[01:20:03] [SPEAKER_03]: and how enthusiastic he is.

[01:20:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Asia gets back from the little journey

[01:20:09] [SPEAKER_03]: and Teenie lets her know,

[01:20:10] [SPEAKER_03]: like, hey, I've seen you on Survivor podcasting, RHAP.

[01:20:16] [SPEAKER_03]: And I think Teenie handles it well

[01:20:17] [SPEAKER_03]: because she's like, if I blow up your spot,

[01:20:19] [SPEAKER_03]: that blows up my spot, so I'm not going to say anything.

[01:20:23] [SPEAKER_03]: I saw a very funny meme or something

[01:20:26] [SPEAKER_03]: about Teenie to Asia in this moment

[01:20:29] [SPEAKER_03]: was kind of like Izzy with Seree.

[01:20:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, you know, recognition.

[01:20:37] [SPEAKER_06]: It's really smart, though,

[01:20:39] [SPEAKER_06]: because I mean, although Teenie's like,

[01:20:41] [SPEAKER_06]: it will blow up my spot, it really wouldn't, right?

[01:20:43] [SPEAKER_06]: It's really kind of like Teenie kind of like,

[01:20:48] [SPEAKER_06]: I know you.

[01:20:49] [SPEAKER_06]: And so it's kind of like, let's work together.

[01:20:52] [SPEAKER_06]: But also it's like, Teenie knows where the bones are laid.

[01:20:55] [SPEAKER_06]: So I'm not mad at Teenie and that approach.

[01:20:57] [SPEAKER_06]: Like, I feel like, you know, that's a,

[01:21:00] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I'm glad that her and Asia work are together.

[01:21:02] [SPEAKER_06]: But like, I see you, Teenie.

[01:21:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Teenie had a great episode.

[01:21:08] [SPEAKER_03]: She was really bonding with everybody.

[01:21:11] [SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, and then the last thing

[01:21:13] [SPEAKER_03]: that we kind of get from the RHAP is Rome

[01:21:16] [SPEAKER_03]: and his beware advantage shenanigans

[01:21:21] [SPEAKER_03]: ultimately resulting in, well, A, him day one being like,

[01:21:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I told myself, you know, we saw a little bit of this

[01:21:28] [SPEAKER_03]: in his preseason press of like, I told myself day one,

[01:21:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I wanted to go look for idols, this and that.

[01:21:33] [SPEAKER_03]: And I want to be real stealthy about it.

[01:21:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Was not very stealthy about it.

[01:21:38] [SPEAKER_03]: This ends up with him digging around in the well

[01:21:41] [SPEAKER_03]: for this key and kind of gets caught by his tribe

[01:21:46] [SPEAKER_03]: and just moseys off all soaking wet.

[01:21:51] [SPEAKER_03]: And people are very suspicious of him.

[01:21:52] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, correct me if I'm wrong,

[01:21:54] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't think we see sort of the ultimate turnout

[01:21:58] [SPEAKER_03]: like if he secures a long term idol, right?

[01:22:02] [SPEAKER_03]: He risks it for the three tribal one.

[01:22:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Right. And then we don't really know exactly

[01:22:07] [SPEAKER_03]: what ultimately happens. Right. Am I correct on that?

[01:22:10] [SPEAKER_06]: I thought, wait, so we saw him get the three.

[01:22:13] [SPEAKER_06]: I only I thought we only saw him get the key to the one.

[01:22:18] [SPEAKER_03]: That might be true. I'm not I'm really not sure.

[01:22:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Right. We don't know.

[01:22:22] [SPEAKER_03]: At the end of the day, we don't know

[01:22:23] [SPEAKER_03]: if he's secured any specific idol yet. Right.

[01:22:26] [SPEAKER_03]: What do you think that well would have tastes like, Wendell?

[01:22:30] [SPEAKER_09]: I think it tastes like water.

[01:22:31] [SPEAKER_09]: But after Rome's hair was in it,

[01:22:33] [SPEAKER_09]: it probably tastes like hair products

[01:22:36] [SPEAKER_09]: or something like that because he did a full dunk.

[01:22:38] [SPEAKER_09]: I don't know. Yeah, he was in there.

[01:22:42] [SPEAKER_04]: This beat was dangling, bro.

[01:22:45] [SPEAKER_04]: I invite you. They said they said the well was only three feet.

[01:22:51] [SPEAKER_09]: Well, he's he's he's he's a little dude.

[01:22:54] [SPEAKER_09]: You know, I know he dove in that hole.

[01:22:56] [SPEAKER_09]: Well, I was worried he was going to like fully fall in.

[01:23:01] [SPEAKER_07]: Right. Like, hey, guys,

[01:23:03] [SPEAKER_07]: I know how what if they had to get him out?

[01:23:09] [SPEAKER_01]: That's like a real good overstate.

[01:23:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that would be maybe at all time.

[01:23:15] [SPEAKER_03]: The most embarrassing survivor moment ever.

[01:23:18] [SPEAKER_03]: You had to be fished out by your tribe in the well.

[01:23:21] [SPEAKER_03]: What would your cover be like? Oh, I drop my canteen.

[01:23:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I think it's all is like just stand up.

[01:23:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. Tough, tough, tough looks for Rome.

[01:23:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Kind of similar, like we said with Gabe,

[01:23:37] [SPEAKER_03]: like just doing a little too much too fast.

[01:23:39] [SPEAKER_03]: But I'm curious to see how the I wish we saw a bit more soul

[01:23:43] [SPEAKER_03]: because I really like his personality.

[01:23:47] [SPEAKER_03]: But, you know, it seems like I like that.

[01:23:49] [SPEAKER_06]: We get I like that. We didn't see a lot of soul.

[01:23:51] [SPEAKER_06]: Soul is my winner pick.

[01:23:53] [SPEAKER_06]: He reminds me a lot of Tony from my season,

[01:23:56] [SPEAKER_06]: from the preseason that I saw.

[01:23:57] [SPEAKER_06]: So I was very happy not to see a lot of soul.

[01:24:00] [SPEAKER_06]: I also felt like soul is little older than the majority of the tribe.

[01:24:05] [SPEAKER_06]: So he has that maturity.

[01:24:07] [SPEAKER_06]: So I really have a lot of high hopes for soul.

[01:24:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, maybe in this case, it's good that you got not that much

[01:24:13] [SPEAKER_03]: and you can kind of build up over time.

[01:24:15] [SPEAKER_03]: But anything else stand out to you guys from this this red group?

[01:24:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I like. OK, great.

[01:24:25] [SPEAKER_03]: And then, you know, we've already kind of covered the challenge,

[01:24:27] [SPEAKER_03]: which was a disaster with the boats capsizing multiple times.

[01:24:32] [SPEAKER_03]: And then, you know, Andy's meltdown and ultimately got loses.

[01:24:37] [SPEAKER_03]: They go back to camp and he's kind of on the outs.

[01:24:42] [SPEAKER_03]: The obvious the girls tell John the obvious move is to tell Andy it's

[01:24:45] [SPEAKER_03]: John because he was already throwing John's name out.

[01:24:48] [SPEAKER_03]: And John doesn't like this.

[01:24:51] [SPEAKER_03]: He decides, like, hey, let me take the reins a little bit here and try

[01:24:54] [SPEAKER_03]: to make a move on Anika, which, you know, they try to pull Sam in.

[01:25:00] [SPEAKER_03]: And essentially he doesn't go for it.

[01:25:03] [SPEAKER_03]: He goes back to the girls and kind of lays the situation out.

[01:25:05] [SPEAKER_03]: And they make the decision between, you know, Andy's kind of a loose cannon.

[01:25:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Do we take Andy out or do we save Andy's strength in these challenges

[01:25:12] [SPEAKER_03]: and take out John, who might be kind of more of a long term threat

[01:25:15] [SPEAKER_03]: with his speaking ability and his ability to articulate things

[01:25:20] [SPEAKER_03]: and, you know, debate skills.

[01:25:23] [SPEAKER_03]: What did you guys think about John's decision here?

[01:25:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Should he have just like gone with the flow or does it make sense

[01:25:30] [SPEAKER_03]: when your name's on the block to shake things up a little bit?

[01:25:36] [SPEAKER_06]: Me as a one time person going to tribal, I think that you should

[01:25:41] [SPEAKER_06]: shake things up. Right. And so what the fact that he went home,

[01:25:44] [SPEAKER_06]: at least he went home swinging.

[01:25:46] [SPEAKER_06]: I just feel like the editing here was interesting because.

[01:25:52] [SPEAKER_06]: Immediately, we just see John on the defense and it's like,

[01:25:56] [SPEAKER_06]: why are you on the defense? It really should be Andy.

[01:25:58] [SPEAKER_06]: And I think the first red flag was the lady saying, like,

[01:26:01] [SPEAKER_06]: we're going to go with you. We're going to tell Andy it's you

[01:26:05] [SPEAKER_06]: because he won't believe anything else.

[01:26:07] [SPEAKER_06]: But then John talks to Andy and he's like, it's Anika. Right.

[01:26:11] [SPEAKER_06]: So I feel like I don't believe we're seeing things in the sequence

[01:26:16] [SPEAKER_06]: that we should be seeing them in, because even when he was

[01:26:21] [SPEAKER_06]: talking to Sam, Sam immediately just wasn't with it at all.

[01:26:26] [SPEAKER_06]: So, again, it leads me to believe that John was this bigger threat

[01:26:29] [SPEAKER_06]: we just didn't really get to see. And I think that John knew that,

[01:26:33] [SPEAKER_06]: which is why he is going out swinging.

[01:26:35] [SPEAKER_06]: So I'm not mad at it and good for him for trying to make a move

[01:26:38] [SPEAKER_06]: some way, somehow, instead of just like sitting there and gambling it,

[01:26:45] [SPEAKER_04]: gambling on it.

[01:26:46] [SPEAKER_04]: What do you think about that?

[01:26:49] [SPEAKER_03]: It's tough because I think this in this instance,

[01:26:55] [SPEAKER_03]: I do think when you're being kind of thrown out as the decoy,

[01:27:01] [SPEAKER_03]: even if it's true, it's not necessarily like,

[01:27:05] [SPEAKER_03]: especially in John's position where he's kind of a big personality

[01:27:09] [SPEAKER_03]: and people kind of know his podcast. If you just sit by,

[01:27:14] [SPEAKER_03]: like I would just, it would hurt if you're in this position to sit by

[01:27:17] [SPEAKER_03]: and have trust that Andy's going to go.

[01:27:20] [SPEAKER_03]: And then ultimately that decision is still going to boil down to Sam

[01:27:23] [SPEAKER_03]: and the girls and they might've sent home John anyway.

[01:27:27] [SPEAKER_03]: So I think sometimes you have to know when to chill,

[01:27:31] [SPEAKER_03]: but I do think that at least you like took some action here

[01:27:35] [SPEAKER_03]: and I can totally see why John did that.

[01:27:37] [SPEAKER_03]: And in this instance I think maybe for his odds would have been better

[01:27:42] [SPEAKER_03]: if he chilled, still might've gone home.

[01:27:44] [SPEAKER_03]: And even if Andy had gone home,

[01:27:46] [SPEAKER_03]: the fact that they were willing to throw John out as a decoy,

[01:27:49] [SPEAKER_03]: it seems like John probably would have been next.

[01:27:51] [SPEAKER_03]: And so I think it's just kind of a bad hand to be dealt.

[01:27:55] [SPEAKER_03]: And I can't blame, is it the ideal move? Maybe not,

[01:27:59] [SPEAKER_03]: but I can't blame John for hearing that it's like, Oh,

[01:28:02] [SPEAKER_03]: it's you or Andy and then not wanting to just sit by and accept that.

[01:28:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I like him taking action when hearing it. Yeah.

[01:28:12] [SPEAKER_06]: I also felt like, and again, don't get me wrong. Andy looks strong.

[01:28:16] [SPEAKER_06]: So does Sam,

[01:28:18] [SPEAKER_06]: but I didn't necessarily see anything that led me to believe that John was

[01:28:22] [SPEAKER_06]: weak though. That was the thing that was kind of like throwing me off a little

[01:28:25] [SPEAKER_03]: bit. Yeah. Yeah.

[01:28:29] [SPEAKER_03]: And maybe that was just an excuse of like kind of cover for the concerns they

[01:28:33] [SPEAKER_03]: had about his longterm strengths as well.

[01:28:37] [SPEAKER_03]: I think maybe if I were John,

[01:28:39] [SPEAKER_03]: maybe and maybe he did do something and see it rather than really like grabbing

[01:28:44] [SPEAKER_03]: the reins and going to Sam and be like, this is going to be the move.

[01:28:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe let Andy kind of take that spearhead that.

[01:28:53] [SPEAKER_03]: And then maybe if you're John, after you can go talk to Sam and be like,

[01:28:56] [SPEAKER_03]: do we want to make a move or do we just want to stick with Andy?

[01:28:59] [SPEAKER_03]: And maybe you get a more honest read out of Sam and can be kind of brought into

[01:29:03] [SPEAKER_03]: that group a little bit more effectively. But I don't know.

[01:29:05] [SPEAKER_03]: It doesn't seem, it also, we don't know a lot about John's relationships.

[01:29:10] [SPEAKER_03]: And I feel like from what we have seen, he has gotten along with Anika.

[01:29:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Like he admires her preparation and her knowledge.

[01:29:18] [SPEAKER_03]: And so maybe if you were going to make a move,

[01:29:21] [SPEAKER_03]: that's someone you pull in rather than target because I don't know.

[01:29:26] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know that the problem is for John.

[01:29:28] [SPEAKER_03]: There's not really a good other target to throw out other than Andy. Right.

[01:29:33] [SPEAKER_06]: What does that say?

[01:29:35] [SPEAKER_06]: That after this whole episode that Andy had, he received no votes.

[01:29:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Kind of like what I touched on earlier.

[01:29:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Like if it's early days and you're viewed as an asset and challenges

[01:29:50] [SPEAKER_03]: and not like, I mean, he definitely was rough socially,

[01:29:54] [SPEAKER_03]: but not in the sense of like people disliked him.

[01:29:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Then you kind of just got to chill and you'll be all right for the most part.

[01:30:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Now, sometimes there's groups where they see that as a threat and they want to

[01:30:06] [SPEAKER_03]: take you out. But for the most part, if you're an asset, these challenges,

[01:30:09] [SPEAKER_03]: especially in an era of fewer swaps where you might be needed for six

[01:30:16] [SPEAKER_03]: challenges, it doesn't make sense to cut you loose earlier.

[01:30:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Else you might have to vote out the whole tribe.

[01:30:22] [SPEAKER_09]: Question. Do we think that this tribe is going to be a hot mess like

[01:30:27] [SPEAKER_09]: historic yellow tribes have been?

[01:30:30] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't think so. They won the first challenge.

[01:30:35] [SPEAKER_06]: Like, I think like they have what it takes.

[01:30:37] [SPEAKER_06]: I think I hope in these upcoming episodes we I hope that Andy receiving

[01:30:44] [SPEAKER_06]: no votes validates him and kind of can calm the the feelings in his head

[01:30:51] [SPEAKER_06]: and that like he can propel himself.

[01:30:54] [SPEAKER_09]: Second question. Do we think do we think Andy can bounce back?

[01:30:58] [SPEAKER_09]: Absolutely. If they go to tribal again, who's next?

[01:31:04] [SPEAKER_09]: Probably. Anika. I don't know because now you got I don't know.

[01:31:09] [SPEAKER_09]: And my last question. Oh, it seems like this is a tribe of a lot

[01:31:15] [SPEAKER_09]: of pretty people. Do we see any maybe happening?

[01:31:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Tell me. Well, Sam was a girlfriend, I think.

[01:31:24] [SPEAKER_03]: And that's so that would be the girlfriend, too.

[01:31:27] [SPEAKER_03]: OK, yeah. Yeah. Andy has a girlfriend, too.

[01:31:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Although it seems like the person he would be most interested on

[01:31:35] [SPEAKER_03]: a platonic level wasn't really thrilled about that either.

[01:31:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Rachel. So, yeah, I don't know.

[01:31:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Sierra gave me I was impressed with her this episode.

[01:31:46] [SPEAKER_03]: She kind of gave me Lauren from Heroes, Healers, Hustlers vibes,

[01:31:50] [SPEAKER_03]: kind of a niche pole. But I like the I like Sierra

[01:31:57] [SPEAKER_06]: from the way that she talks, her dialect and how she speaks.

[01:32:02] [SPEAKER_06]: You can tell she's from our neck of the woods.

[01:32:06] [SPEAKER_06]: She definitely sounds like a Philly adjacent,

[01:32:11] [SPEAKER_06]: like not the Philly accent, but like, you know what I mean?

[01:32:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Like how she was talking. Like, I feel like I hear that type

[01:32:17] [SPEAKER_06]: of talk all the time. So it's like I really like Sierra.

[01:32:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I was impressed with her. And yeah, as far as I know,

[01:32:24] [SPEAKER_03]: it's a good question because we've seen so many hot mess tribes.

[01:32:27] [SPEAKER_03]: And on paper, I'm nervous. The blue tribe looks really strong.

[01:32:31] [SPEAKER_03]: And I think they don't have a lot of puzzle people.

[01:32:34] [SPEAKER_03]: So maybe that could be a barrier because but the red tribe

[01:32:39] [SPEAKER_03]: doesn't I think right now on paper that the yellow group

[01:32:42] [SPEAKER_03]: is stronger than the red tribe. Although Saul has that bad strength.

[01:32:47] [SPEAKER_03]: For sure. I mean, yeah, he was a beast.

[01:32:51] [SPEAKER_06]: I think the blue tribe has the potential of being

[01:32:53] [SPEAKER_06]: the hot mess tribe. Really? Blue tribe?

[01:32:56] [SPEAKER_04]: Mm hmm. Despite the fact that they maybe look at the strongest

[01:33:00] [SPEAKER_04]: physically, was they who did they both flip over?

[01:33:06] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, but I'm just saying, those are going to be like leaders

[01:33:12] [SPEAKER_09]: in these challenges and suit like you guys, man.

[01:33:16] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm just I'm just saying the potential. I'm not I'm not a gambling man.

[01:33:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I don't I think it will be pretty balanced.

[01:33:27] [SPEAKER_03]: But it's hard to say. But you look at the yellow tribe now

[01:33:30] [SPEAKER_03]: and not that John was necessarily weak, but they don't have any

[01:33:32] [SPEAKER_03]: like stand out weak people. I don't feel like I do think

[01:33:39] [SPEAKER_03]: the blue group, the blue tribe is going to be pretty strong

[01:33:41] [SPEAKER_03]: with like I mean, TK is a beast. Gabe's pretty physical.

[01:33:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Kyle's pretty physical. Tiana is pretty physical.

[01:33:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Sue is. Yes. And then Caroline looks like she seems like

[01:33:54] [SPEAKER_03]: she's pretty good on the puzzle. So they could be one of these tribes

[01:33:59] [SPEAKER_09]: that almost steamrolls through to the merge and then the remaining

[01:34:03] [SPEAKER_09]: tribes start picking them off. Yeah.

[01:34:07] [SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, I guess ultimately, you know, we've got I like what

[01:34:13] [SPEAKER_03]: we're talking about because it's sort of like what do we see coming down

[01:34:15] [SPEAKER_03]: the line? I don't I don't necessarily know who.

[01:34:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Who do we not talk about that you guys have a good feel,

[01:34:23] [SPEAKER_03]: a good or a bad feeling about that, like just wasn't that much of a

[01:34:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Genevieve, I think is her name. I like Genevieve's preseason

[01:34:31] [SPEAKER_06]: and I like what I saw from her in the episode of like just

[01:34:34] [SPEAKER_06]: her cohesiveness with her tribe. So I liked her.

[01:34:38] [SPEAKER_06]: I think there's a racial right? Yeah. I liked Rachel.

[01:34:43] [SPEAKER_06]: I didn't see a ton of her. But for me, as I'm watching,

[01:34:46] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm like looking at them, like interact with other people.

[01:34:48] [SPEAKER_06]: And I'm like, OK, they jealous. So it's like I really like this

[01:34:52] [SPEAKER_06]: this cast as a whole. Like there are a lot of likable, chaotic,

[01:34:58] [SPEAKER_06]: energetic and fun characters that are like willing to make big moves.

[01:35:03] [SPEAKER_06]: So overall, I'm like very happy with the season thus far. Yeah.

[01:35:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Right. So you kind of reminded me of a point that I wanted to make

[01:35:12] [SPEAKER_03]: whenever is that I'm going to call a shot here early.

[01:35:17] [SPEAKER_03]: I feel very strongly that this season to be won by another woman

[01:35:20] [SPEAKER_03]: because I look at the women in this cast. I think they're across

[01:35:23] [SPEAKER_03]: the board pretty solid. Like I look at like you said, Genevieve,

[01:35:27] [SPEAKER_03]: I think has a great vibe. Rachel seems really solid.

[01:35:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Sue really surprised me with how she came out so far.

[01:35:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Teeny is a really strong social game so far.

[01:35:37] [SPEAKER_03]: On the flip side, I look at the guys. There's not really one guy

[01:35:42] [SPEAKER_03]: that I have super high hopes for right now. I mean, I guess based

[01:35:46] [SPEAKER_03]: on what we talked about, maybe for me it would be Sam.

[01:35:48] [SPEAKER_03]: But he also has that like physical thing about him where that's

[01:35:52] [SPEAKER_03]: not really the archetype of a winner recently because it could be

[01:35:56] [SPEAKER_03]: a physical threat. And then you look at like I think Gabe and Rome

[01:36:01] [SPEAKER_03]: came out a little strong. Saul's a little bit older.

[01:36:06] [SPEAKER_03]: I love I hope to see some stuff from him. But a lot of times

[01:36:09] [SPEAKER_03]: it's hard to integrate. TK seems like TK.

[01:36:14] [SPEAKER_06]: And TK seems really athletic and like he's a player.

[01:36:18] [SPEAKER_03]: But I don't know if he's quite got the survivor mindset

[01:36:22] [SPEAKER_03]: from what we saw of like the strategy of it all.

[01:36:25] [SPEAKER_03]: So I just feel like the women have a lot more winner equity right now

[01:36:29] [SPEAKER_03]: than I think the guys did. I agree with that statement.

[01:36:32] [SPEAKER_06]: But when I looked at the preseason and I looked at the people,

[01:36:36] [SPEAKER_06]: I felt like this might be a I think that this we might have

[01:36:40] [SPEAKER_06]: a guy winner. Really? Why is that?

[01:36:45] [SPEAKER_06]: When I just when I did my is to look with Robert,

[01:36:48] [SPEAKER_06]: like I felt like because the women were so strong and stand out,

[01:36:52] [SPEAKER_06]: I felt like maybe somebody is going to slip by.

[01:36:58] [SPEAKER_06]: And after this episode, like I was like, Kyle has no chance.

[01:37:02] [SPEAKER_06]: I really like Kyle. I like Kyle, too.

[01:37:05] [SPEAKER_03]: I want to see more Keyshawn as well. We didn't see.

[01:37:08] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, like Dr. Patel. Oh, I like Dr. Patel.

[01:37:11] [SPEAKER_06]: I could see Dr. Patel. He's fine.

[01:37:14] [SPEAKER_03]: You'd be in the conversation, too, of the guys.

[01:37:16] [SPEAKER_03]: But that's just my my shot that I'm calling just on the surface.

[01:37:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I think across the board, I think the women are really strong players

[01:37:23] [SPEAKER_03]: and across the board. I don't see as much for the guys.

[01:37:27] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah. Well, I mean, this was a great episode.

[01:37:34] [SPEAKER_06]: It looks like we're off to a great season.
