Kamilla & Kyle’s New Secret Partnership

Kamilla & Kyle’s New Secret Partnership

Rob Cesternino is joined by Survivor alums Kamilla and Kyle from seasons 48 and 50 to talk about their latest project. While the tribe may be gone, the spirit of partnership and competition lives on as they explore the journey behind launching their new shared habit-tracking app—and the Survivor-inspired accountability that comes with it.

The team dives into how the idea for Paprclip started with a cartoon mishap and how it grew during Kyle’s Achilles recovery, where physical therapy homework led to a friendship-fueled solution for building new habits. Kamilla shares the honest struggle of keeping up post-Survivor gym routines and how having the right partner can make all the difference. The discussion covers the balance between gamification, deeper psychology, and the daily grind, touching on everything from hidden healthy habits to playful accountability with friends and spouses. Plus, the group samples a round of “guess the voice” with their Survivor friends, revealing inside jokes and the lengths they’ll go for a laugh.

Highlights from their chat include:

  • Kyle’s cartoon-inspired “aha” moment that sparked the concept for a habit-tracking app
  • Kamilla’s take on the challenge of staying motivated after Survivor and the importance of mutual accountability
  • The creative ways Paprclip gamifies habit-building with streaks, points, badges, and friendly competition
  • Insights into the Kickstarter campaign, group functionality plans, and how they aim to tackle loneliness and foster new connections
  • A lively “voice memo” game with recognizable Survivor voices and quirky memories from the castaways

[00:01:29] Hey, everybody. What's going on? Rob Cesternino back here. We got a fun podcast today because we're catching up with some friends of the pod who have a brand new thing that they have been working on and they have announced from seasons 48 and 50 of Survivor.

[00:01:57] Camilla and Kyle are here. What's going on? Hey, Rob. What's up, Rob? Thank you. Thank you. Honored to be a friend of the pod and back on. Yes. So excited to have you here. And I will go with say hello to Camilla first. I believe she has the highest average placement on Survivor of the duo. And so, Camilla, how are you? I'm good.

[00:02:22] I've just been writing a lot of code recently and then also playing video games to inspire the code writing. But yeah, working on paper clips. Just chilling. Yeah. And Kyle, how are you doing? I'm doing well, Rob. I'm a little tired. You've heard me complain about that a couple of times, but I'm also like, it's awesome. You know, new kid, new venture. Life is good. Yeah. So you two have something that has just launched officially on Kickstarter today. I think it's pretty cool.

[00:02:49] It definitely is something that is interesting to me as somebody who often has a lot of goals that I'm trying to accomplish. But let's talk a little bit about paper clip. And first off, what is paper clip? Yeah. You want me to take it, Camilla? Yeah. Go for it. Yeah. So the simplest way to explain it, Rob, is think of it as a shared habit tracker with Snapchat-like features. So you would link with somebody that you know in a paper clip, right? That's the term for it.

[00:03:18] You would create shared goals, which are one-time things and habits, which are like daily or weekly things that you come back to. And then in order to be accountable to the person that you're in that paper clip with, you would take photos or short form videos to send to one another. So you could essentially know that you're doing what it is you set out to do. So it's sort of like a virtual handshake and like a shared habit tracker. A handshake? Like one of Kenzie's handshakes? Yeah. You know, a little false, but you know, it's...

[00:03:47] And Camilla, where did you come into this? Was this actually your idea? No, this was Kyle's idea. Kyle is the ideas guy. He's come to me with multiple ideas where he needed someone who knows tech to help him out with, like programming sort of stuff. And so he reached out to me when like at some point last year to work on that. Yeah, November. Yeah, November.

[00:04:14] And I was like, yeah, you know, I can help you out and give you some technical advice. And then eventually I started coding and that's where we're at now. So Kyle, tell me a little bit about where this idea came from. Were you trying to accomplish something and needed an accountability partner? So it's a little bit weirder than that. So, I mean, it did happen during my Achilles recovery. So I think I came up with the idea in late October. By that point, I just started like

[00:04:39] maybe fully walking again and like starting to really kind of get back into physical therapy, like in an intense way. And so like, of course, I had to be like with physical therapy, anybody who's done it, you like you do stuff when you're there, but that's once or twice a week. And then you leave with like a whole host of homework that you're supposed to do back home. And like, it's hard to do it when you're not held accountable there. But I actually got the idea for paperclip when I was watching a cartoon. My wife Maggie was at a bachelorette party, home alone. I was watching a cartoon and a cartoon character was using story.

[00:05:08] My wife was at a bachelorette party and I was home alone watching cartoons. Yeah, yeah, that's my life, Rob. You know, that's my life. But a cartoon character was using a paperclip in a violent manner. And I was like, what the hell? That's not what paperclips are for. They're supposed to connect things. And then I was like, oh, that's a good business idea. And then I was like, what would it do? And then I just started working backwards and then called Camilla because I didn't know what the hell I was doing. Yeah. All right. Camilla, what was your reaction when you heard about the violent cartoon with a paperclip?

[00:05:37] I was just, I mean, like, I don't understand how his brain works sometimes because I wouldn't be able to make that leap from, that's not how you use a paperclip. It's used for blah, blah, blah, and then come up with a whole app based off of that. Right. I am more of a like, I have this problem. I need to fix it. But honestly, half the time, I'm too lazy to come up with a solution to fix my life. And so when he came to me with the idea, I was like, oh, this is perfect.

[00:06:03] Because ever since I came back from Survivor 50, I have been slacking on the gym. I only went to the gym for Survivor. I'm not a regular gym goer, but I wanted to keep it up after coming back from Survivor. And I was like, Eva is the only person who will be like, hey, Camilla, did you go to the gym today? And I feel bad, you know, not saying yes. So this is the perfect thing I need is to guilt me into doing things that are better for me. And that's what this is how I'd be using the app.

[00:06:30] And Rob, a little behind the scenes here, Camilla like sort of referenced it earlier, but I've come to her earlier with ideas in the past. Um, thankfully, this is the one. But, um, last time we were actually trying to build a video game together, but then we both sort of fell off. And then after the fact, we realized, um, that it was because we were both going through the season 50 casting process. And we're like, we're not going to have the time for this. So paperclip is the, uh, the idea that is lived and endured. So if this works out, could the video game happen? Yeah. For sure. Next time. For sure.

[00:07:01] But we got it. We got to get this. We got to get this to the right place. I can't work on multiple things at the same time. I have a real, like I have my full-time job that I'm writing code for, and I've got this that I'm writing code for. Can't write code for a third thing. Well, the idea of what you're doing really does appeal to me because I feel like I'm always looking for new ways to like new, new things to take on. The problem is I get a lot of like negative reinforcement of like, I'm like, Hey, I got a new idea. I'm going to start doing this. And then my wife's like, Oh my God is so annoying.

[00:07:30] I don't want to hear about this. So I have to like do, I try to do a lot of things, but I'm doing them in secret. I'm doing them privately. Like I'm not telling that like, I'm like, Oh, I'm intermittent fasting, but I'm hiding it from my wife because she thinks it's annoying. We know about doing things in secret, Rob. Yes. We are your allies. We're your partners in your secret endeavors. Yes. Yeah. So I don't wait. You're not supposed to keep secrets from your spouse, but these are like secrets that are

[00:07:59] like they don't, they shouldn't, they shouldn't bother her, but they do. I mean, you know, maybe, maybe if you're in a paperclip with your wife, maybe if you can show her all of the cool things you are doing. No, I would never, I have to keep it secret. Um, but like, uh, like I have to hide, like, I don't want her to know I'm tracking macros. She won't respect me for that. That's why is she preventing this? People are protein maxing these days. People are, you know. Yeah.

[00:08:29] It's a look, listen, I'm trying to, I'm, I'm avoiding fight maxing. So yeah, a lot of, most of what I do, uh, my wife finds, uh, just very irritating. So I don't know, maybe, I don't know. Maybe, is there a way that that could help me on paperclip? Is it the things that you do that she finds irritating or something else? No, generally, generally most. Um, so let me see, maybe there's like a, maybe I could have her as an accountability partner of like things that I could do that are not annoying.

[00:08:59] Yeah. And you, you two can work through that together. I mean, that's the beauty of the app. It's, it's for everybody. You can sit down and you could think what, what do we want to do together that won't annoy you? Yeah. You can have a habit together. That is don't be annoying. Don't be annoying. I would do that. Once a day. Yeah. Try not to be annoying. Yes. For like an hour each day. Now, Kyle, I noticed that you were good at holding people accountable in survivor 50.

[00:09:26] When you said that you're to your tribe, you said, Hey, I'm counting on you. Somebody here has to win. And lo and behold, Aubrey was accountable when you said somebody here has to win the game. Yeah. You know, I, I try to inspire people, Rob, um, even, even in the darkest of time. Yeah. That's why you'd be so good at this. Thank you to Aubry Bracco. Like, it's all about manifesting, right? Yeah. It's all about manifesting.

[00:09:55] And Aubrey, um, really did that on survivor 50. We're trying to do that with paperclip. Um, and you know, I, I would like to be in a paperclip with Aubrey. Honestly, she seems like somebody who actually probably holds people accountable in a very like low key, even keeled way. Um, which is what we need. Like, we're all about having fun while using this app. Yeah. Like all in all habits. Yeah. Go ahead. Yeah. Well, tell me a little bit more about how, how does paperclip make, uh, habit accountability fun? Because normally people hear accountability. Like that's not fun.

[00:10:26] Why don't you go Camilla? Cause for me personally, uh, if people send the texts to check in on me or send me a message to check on me and be like, Hey, did you do the thing that we said we're going to do? I see the text and I'm like stressing out and I'm like, I'll respond to it later. I just hate texts. I hate messages, but if someone sends me a photo of them doing the thing, I'm like, Hey, I get to see my friend, look at you doing cool things. And then I send the photo back. I get inspired to do the same thing back.

[00:10:54] Like I think photo sharing for me is a lot more fun, especially seeing my friends lives. Cause a lot of my friends are long distance. Now I moved to New York. Most of the people I know are still in California. So it's nice to just see people in their everyday lives. And Rob, I'll say too, like one thing that like Camilla brought to the app, like I had the baseline idea, but in truth, it really was a boring idea at the beginning, just a shared habit tracker. But we've gamified the app so that all of the goals and the habits that you create and do together, you're gaining points. You're leveling up.

[00:11:23] We have different badges and advantages that you can use. Think Duolingo and Snapstreaks. And I think probably the most important feature of the app in terms of like having fun is one, their daily challenges. So of course, if you and Nicole were in a paperclip together and you have to build goals and habits, like we'll also insert daily challenges every day that you don't have to build that sort of gets you out of your comfort zone. And the last piece is as you two are sending photos and videos to one another, all that is private, but only if you want it to be.

[00:11:51] So there's also a content creation angle here where when you're sharing those photos and videos, if you both agree to publish whatever it is that you're sharing, our app will take those clips that you've sent to one another, package it together into either like a clip, the dual clip, which is stacked on top of one another, or if it's a longer goal, a highlight reel or montage. And then you can ship that out to all the other social media platforms that you're using. So like we're trying to take the like sort of shared habit tracking sense, turn it into a game and also give you a chance to like share with other people what you're doing if you

[00:12:21] want to. Yeah, it's interesting because I'm curious to know like, okay, so this sounds like this is great. Like I have a friend group, which I'll be honest, I don't really, um, you other, you two. And then other than that, um, it's bleak, but let's say I had a friend group and then we're going to like all share. But what if, what if I don't have a friend group? Like, but what if I'm somebody who like, I want to do, I want to do CrossFit.

[00:12:47] Like, could I sign up and like just meet the other CrossFit people that are on paperclip? So that's, that is what the Kickstarter is for. Yeah. Right. Like as the MVP exists right now, the MVP, the beta, right? Like it's one-to-one right now. Uh, like, you know, I will, I will buck back on you and say, I think you have a lot of friends as somebody who watches your podcast frequently, um, and sees all the friends of the pod and otherwise friends of Rob. But, um, like right now as the app exists, it's one-to-one.

[00:13:15] Um, we have a group paperclip function that we're developing, but that's a little bit more complicated. And I think the end game of this Kickstarter is like, right, like we're pretty much done with the app. This Kickstarter is to cover some of those costs and to cover some of the server, uh, the server hosting afterwards. But like one big feature that we really want to build out if this Kickstarter is successful is a discovery feed because like the whole point of this app, like quite frankly, is to tackle loneliness. And like, I feel weird about the fact that like, you know, if somebody is really lonely,

[00:13:42] they don't have somebody like we want them to be able to connect with people, but not in that like murky social media way where you're just voyeuristic and looking at people. Imagine going on Twitter and making a friend. Imagine going on Twitter. Yeah, but this is cool because I think that most friends, most like you make friends around interests. And so I think that this is a great way for people to, uh, connect with each other. So, so tell me about the Kickstarter then. How, what are you looking to do with the Kickstarter?

[00:14:13] Camilla, you want to read it? Yeah. Um, so we want to cover, obviously we have a bunch of tiers. Um, there are some pretty cool, uh, rewards at the certain tiers. Uh, Kyle got really creative with some of them and I'm excited for everyone to see them soon. Um, but yeah, we have, like Kyle mentioned the hosting costs of the app. Once we're done building, like for everyone to access this app, like that costs money. Um, so there's those costs we want to cover. We want to finish developing the group paperclip functionality.

[00:14:43] And we've got like Kyle mentioned discovery that we would like to, you know, start working on. Um, we need some runway, uh, some money to make sure we pay the actual humans that are building this. Like if we were using Claude or something, we would, I mean, I guess we need money to pay for the whatever AI tokens and AI usage, but we're paying people. I heard Claude be getting expensive. Uh, yeah. Yep. Yep. We have no employees. There's a lot of fire tokens these days.

[00:15:11] Someone needs to bequeath Claude tokens. Yeah. Yeah. Is the open era really just AI? That's another question. Open AI era. Uh oh, watch out. Even real. Yeah. We don't know. We don't know. Um, I haven't met any of them yet, so it could be AI for all I know, but yeah, no AI. We need to pay actual people, um, to not only code the app, but also design, um, the, what a group paperclip would look like design, what discovery could look like. We have designers that we pay.

[00:15:41] We have engineers that we pay. So yeah, it costs money. To make an app. Yeah. And the goal, the goal is, um, $30,000, just like our threshold goal. And like when you contribute to the Kickstarter, it's not just a donation. Um, the pledge levels like will give you beta access. You'll be some of the people voting on features early on in the app. Like we really want this to be like a community of people who are contributing and feel a part of it. And so you can be like, you can be the first people to help shape the app. Yeah. Yeah.

[00:16:07] So for $30,000, have you thought about maybe if you had a paperclip about saving animals, could Sia just kick that in? Well, Sia, Sia has proven, Rob, that she doesn't, she's not empathetic towards people who are down and out, right? If she would have actually voted and given her $100,000. I think it's the people from Survivor 48. Yes. Or people from season 50 who just got hurt. Yeah. Like what, what, what could have been? Right. We both were campaigning real hard.

[00:16:37] He tore his Achilles. I got ligma and I was in a hospital bed. Like he didn't, he didn't help either of us. I thought that you were going to help Kyle with his hair transplant. We've got a lot of things that we need money for right now. We're just focused on paper. Can you just say unequivocally that this Kickstarter is not to pay for Kyle to get a hair transplant? It's already paid for.

[00:17:03] I will use my own personal money or ask for Sia money. I'm not taking any of the Kickstarter money to fund Kyle's trip to Turkey. Okay. For his hair transplant. That's good. Literally somebody yesterday, Maggie yesterday, swear to God, showed me a Reddit thread that says, Kyle is bald now. How does this affect season 50? What's going on? What's going on? All right. So, all right. We're looking to raise $30,000. What do people get though?

[00:17:31] Because people want to know, what's it for me? What do I get if I jump in on the Kickstarter? Yeah. So, we have tiers all the way from $1 with our highest tier being $5,000. The $1 tier, obviously, is you get updates and rewards. There's $5 if you want to have your name in the app's credits and just be a part of it. Like I said, another tier is early beta access. So, you can actually help shape the app. Our premier tier gives you early beta access, gives you some cool badges in the app.

[00:18:00] It gives you a lifetime subscription because we'll operate on a freemium model. And I think those are the key points there. And then there are other cool opportunities. Like if you want to be in a paperclip with either Camilla or myself, you can contribute and do that. And so, for the first month that we actually launch our app, you can be an accountability buddy with Camilla. I think that will be very fun too. Accountability? Accountability? Is that the right word? Accountability? I think you made a word. Yeah. I wasn't sure if that's what it is.

[00:18:30] It's like your friends on Paperclip are your accountability buddies. Yeah, yeah. You know, we use a lot of like, as a former teacher who lied about that on Survivor, we use a lot of like school-like terminology. Like we have a binder, you're in a paperclip with somebody, et cetera. I also have been watching a lot of Love Island, so I like making up words now. But, you know, I digress. Yeah. It's the epitome of the Paperclip app. Yes. Emerging myself in the app. Yeah.

[00:18:57] So what do you get in the $5,000 tier? That is the dinner with Camilla and I in New York. Dinner with the founders. We will pay for it. We'll take you out in New York City. We can talk about Paperclip, Survivor, or whatever else. Wow. And there's also a call tier with us as well if you want to talk about the app, if you want to talk about Survivor, both things at the same time. You know, just kind of like cool to be a part of this community and like make sure people know that like we're real people actually building this thing.

[00:19:27] I guess they know we're real because they've seen us on TV, but you get the point. Yeah. What about a tier where Camilla roasts your friends? I don't roast people. I don't know. I'm not a mean person. It's very hard for me to come up with mean things to say about people. But for $2,500, you would, right? It just said lie. It just said lie. I also don't lie.

[00:19:57] That's probably why I lost Survivor twice is because I don't know how to lie. I mean, I don't know if people would want me to roast them. I think people's perception of me is that I'm a very kind and caring person. Yes. So I think they would maybe want me to give them some motivating advice and stuff like that, but not a roast. Not a roast. Okay. So the Kickstarter is open today, right? Yes.

[00:20:26] Today, July 14th. Yeah. We are ready to rock. Yeah. Is there a time limit on, is there like a certain date that the Kickstarter closes or does it go until it's funded? So we start at noon, July 14th today. Okay. Right. Is like, hopefully we hit that 30,000 goal. We can get more if people want to continue to contribute and get into those tiers.

[00:20:54] But if we don't hit $30,000, we get nothing. Right. If we hit $29,999, we get nothing. Wow. So we got 30 days to hit that 30K. If you're at $29,999, just like text me. I'll put in the extra dollar. I'll get you over the finish line. Thank you. Will that annoy Nicole? Will that, will that activity?

[00:21:13] Only, again, only if she knows, you know, like, why are you giving, why are you giving Kyle and Camilla money when, you know, you should, you know, we need to buy blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. You know? So we don't have to tell her. Yeah. We'll keep it on the deal. Yes. In all seriousness, I do, I love self-improvement. I love finding ways to be more productive.

[00:21:42] And I often, you know, in all seriousness, like, I feel like I am just very much a accountability partner of one. And I'm, like, always writing notes to myself. I don't know, I have any idea what it would be like to have somebody who was actually encouraging me. Well, Rob, could I ask you a question? Sure. What would a paperclip between you and Stephen Fishback look like?

[00:22:05] Um, you know, so I get a lot of text messages from Stephen Fishback and we are working on, you know, many different projects simultaneously. And so I guess he is a accountability partner in like, he'll send me nine text messages and say, did you do this yet? Did you do this yet? When, when he went, like, when will you be done with it? And now he can just send you a video. Yeah.

[00:22:33] So he's very, he's very good at holding me accountable. I don't need to hold him accountable. He's very, like, prolific in his own right. But imagine getting a video from Stephen Fishback. I could not. I think I would melt. You would melt. I love Stephen Fishback. I mean, you just said you get a lot of texts from Stephen Fishback. You know how many people listening to this would kill for that? Yes. Yeah, he's a, he is a big test, texter, fastest texter around.

[00:23:03] And, you know, you, you will get like many, like multiple texts. If you don't answer back fast enough, you may get like question mark, question mark, question mark, question mark. Camilla, you're a pretty fast texter, even for somebody with an Android. Okay. I'm going to ignore the last part. I mean, I don't, I would say my response time is slow. But once I'm responding, you know, the, the, the words are coming out quickly. Yeah.

[00:23:34] For, I mean, Android, I mean, it might be because I have an Android phone that like, you know, I'm able to type faster. I don't know your iOS keyboards and your iMessage always has issues. I don't know. But that's like a separate thing. That's, we're not worried about that today. Yeah. Thankfully, Paperclip will be on both Android and iOS with no disparity between either platform. So people on iOS don't have to shame Android users because Android users can change the colors of their chat bubbles whenever. And apparently iOS users can't. I don't know.

[00:24:03] And like us, the app will also be available in both US and Canada. So. Yeah. This summer, serve up the cookout classics. Craft mayo and dressing. Toss green salads with delicious ranch dressing or zesty Italian. Serve smooth, craveably creamy potato salads with mayo. We all know it's not a cookout without craft.

[00:24:31] Something that I was interested in that I saw in the video that you made was that you've done some work to study certain behavioral psychology to help people accomplish their goals better in the app. Can you speak to that a little bit? Yeah. So first want to clarify that I have not done the work, even though I love like reading wellness books and like love reading about these things.

[00:24:59] I have not personally done the work with respect to behavioral psychology. We actually have a clinical therapist on our team and a positive psychologist, and they are actually doing all the work with respect to positive psychology. There are a couple of core principles there in which people use that to essentially measure happiness and well-being. And we've been trying to and have, I think, done a pretty good job of integrating those core principles into our app.

[00:25:23] There's also something that's widely used in the ADHD community called body doubling, which is essentially to sum it up that you get more work done not doing the same thing with somebody, but being just in the presence of someone else while you're doing something. And that's another principle that we have integrated into our app. And the last point I'll say that I'm really excited about is that while we're beta testing, of course, we're going to be thinking from a business perspective on like marketing and also like a UX perspective, like do people like using our app.

[00:25:51] But our psychology team is actually going to use our data instead of selling your data to really shitty people, for lack of a better term. We're going to be using our data for an actual study with a university. Hopefully they're proposing that right now to see if what we're trying to do and what the principles that we've integrated will actually do that for people. I think that'll be really useful data for us to continue tweaking as we sort of work through the rest of the app on the other portions that I just mentioned.

[00:26:19] Okay. Now, I know that you two have many friends that you are working with to accomplish your goals and get better. But I think the question might be, we have a test for you two to see just how well you know some of your friends and that we have a game today. Okay. I don't have friends.

[00:26:43] Well, we'll see how well you know some of your reality TV colleagues. Brandon, are you here? Are you ready? Hey, everybody. It's Brandon Donlan. Hello. Brandon, are you interested in being any paper clips with me to have any shared productivity goals? Well, I think we do that. I was thinking as you were speaking, we send pictures to each other. Yes. You sent me that picture of you in Guy Fieri in the airport?

[00:27:13] Yes, that's true. But that wasn't like holding me accountable to anything. We said that you were going to try to meet Guy and that was you getting closer to meeting Guy. Yeah. Yes, I did. Wait, were you in the, was he in the photo with you or was it like a sneak? It was a, it was a cardboard cutout of Guy Fieri that I was posing with. Yeah. I thought that Brandon would get a kick out of that while I was in Flavortown. Yeah. I know I got my ticket to Flavortown.

[00:27:41] But I had my ticket to our, our game today where I asked several people, really several. There's seven people that I asked that you both know to send me a voice message. I said, say whatever you want. There's no rules. Some are more obvious. Some are less obvious. I modulated those voices and you will both guess on whose voice it is. I love this. If that's okay with both of you, we'll get it going. Okay. All right. Let's do it.

[00:28:11] And, and Rob, if, if Kyle and Camilla are stuck, feel free. Yeah, I'll see if I, if I know. All right, let's go. Number one. I'm doing a colorectal surgery right now. I'll call you back later. That is Cedric. I only know one person who is capable of doing a colorectal surgery. Hmm. I was going to guess Mary Zhang, but I think, I think you're right with Cedric. I mean, the voice does sound more like Mary, obviously.

[00:28:41] Yeah. But you're right. That's not the point. It's not who it's, it's gotta be Cedric. But what if Mary, what if Mary's trying to confuse us? And she's, she's like, oh, they'll think I'm Cedric. If I talk about the colorectal surgery. Because would Cedric refer to his surgery as a colorectal surgery? Would you just say I'm doing surgery? Yeah. He did not like that. I called him a butt doctor in the season 48 for now. So he definitely wouldn't say butt surgery. Yeah. Yeah. He's not doing a BBL. I mean, he does not like Cedric. Yeah.

[00:29:11] It's Cedric. It's gotta work. Unfortunately. No. That is not Cedric. That is our dear friend, Stephanie Berger. Oh! I texted Stephanie. I said, I'm going to do this. Do you think Cedric will answer? And she said no. And then sent me back. Yeah. I said, you said. Imagine you were having a colorectal surgery and then they stopped to participate in a podcast game. Christ. Those vulas, man. What is wrong with them?

[00:29:41] They're so sneaky. Damn. We're 0-1, but we can make it back up. Here's number two. The only way that I'm using paperclip is for both of you to admit that it's better to sleep with socks on. Hmm. Who knows that I don't sleep with socks? It's better to sleep with socks on. Who's that invested in? I don't sleep with socks. Do people sleep with socks? In the sock industry.

[00:30:10] I do sleep with socks, but this isn't about me. This isn't my fault. Yeah. I've heard it both ways where that you fall asleep faster with socks on, but also that it's better to be cold when you go to sleep. So I don't know. Interesting. Let me do. I'll give one more playthrough here. The only way that I'm using paperclip is for both of you to admit that it's better to sleep with socks on. Hmm.

[00:30:37] So Camilla, so I was going to say David. I feel like, but I don't. I feel, I initially thought it was David with I want both of you to admit. Yes. If it was David, he would have said something way more ludicrous. Not sleep with socks on. Like admit that I'm taller than Kyle or that, admit like something, something ridiculous. Well, he's not taller than me. So now I'm concerned that I know people who sleep with socks on. Is it Mitch? I guess. Why do you think Mitch?

[00:31:11] Hmm. Go. I think let's go Mitch. I think, I think let's trust your gut. Cause I feel like I've seen Mitch sleep in public many times. He does do that a lot. When you say sleep in public, you mean like on Survivor? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. In, in public, just, just in, in the real world, not on an island. Like he falls asleep. He can fall asleep real fast and you can, everyone can hear it. Yeah. And he's wearing socks.

[00:31:35] Fun fact on Survivor though, Star Toomey, um, wanted to vote Mitch out and would kick him at night because of how loud he snored. It was a very big point of contention. I I'm surprised it didn't make the edit to be quite honest with you. Okay. He, he needs to do a sleep study and get a seat packed. Um, yeah. Yeah. So let's go, let's go Mitch. Let's go Mitch. Mitch. That is not MITCH, but it is R-I-Z-G-O-D baby. Right.

[00:32:03] Riz God invested in the sock game. I never knew this about him. And now I question our friendship. He does have very high socks. He does. He does. Maybe that keeps the whole leg warm. He would try to sleep in the boat. Yeah. I wasn't looking at his footwear while he was. Yeah, where Charlie would go talk to him. Yeah. All right. We're plowing through. We got number three. We're really good. Let's rock and roll. Pretty sure y'all were both born in the nineties. Let me rewind.

[00:32:32] Pretty sure y'all were both born in the nineties. So you remember Clippy, right? Microsoft Clippy. He was introduced in 97 and retired in 07. And actually just heard he's coming back in 27 to sue y'all's asses. Hmm. I think this is Jonathan. To sue y'all's asses makes me think to charity. Yeah. I was going to go Shaheen. Oh, Shaheen. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Sue y'all's asses. Cause that man used to do law stuff.

[00:33:00] So, you know, he would know about suing. I feel like the, the, it's the cadence of the voice. Shaheen. I think, I think Shaheen's a good one. I think let's, let's go with, let's go with the beard. Yeah. Not for anything. I texted eight people to do this. And Shaheen was the only one that did not answer. Oh, this is, this is Owen Knight, baby. Oh, I thought it was Owen.

[00:33:28] I thought it was, I think you thought it was Shaheen. No, I, I, that one, I promise. I actually, I was like, is that Owen? But like, why would Owen? Ah. All right. I feel good about these last four. I think these last four, we have it. We have to get at least one of them. Yeah. We're going to get one. You'll get, I think you'll get a couple. Hold each other accountable. I don't do a lot of, but I know I've given, I don't do a lot of voice memos, but I know I've given both of you guys at least one. So hopefully you guys get this right.

[00:33:58] My two favorite 48ers, I hope Paperclip takes off. So next time I'm in New York, you guys can take me out for a fancy dinner. Love you guys. Bye. Bianca. Bianca. Bianca. That's no way. It has to be Bianca. Why are you laughing? I guess you're not Bianca. I'm worried. Is this one missed? Is this Savannah Louie, baby? God. Savannah Louie. We need to throw 48 out the window. Come on. Yeah. These people. Yeah. Oh my God.

[00:34:28] We're just hooked on. Oh. All right. This feels like a safe one. Okay. This is, you'll, you got it. All right. Since y'all think y'all so smart and y'all can create apps, how about this one? There were 30 cows in a field. 28 chickens. How many did? There's only one person on the planet who could do this one. His name is Quintavious Burdett. And that is correct.

[00:34:59] Quintavious. What is he? 30 cows, 28 chickens, and how many deer? I don't even know. Is that what he said? All right. Since y'all think y'all so smart and y'all can create apps, how about this one? There were 30 cows in a field. 28 chickens. How many dead? How many dead? I don't think I know what the answer, the actual riddle is. But then he texted me afterward.

[00:35:28] He said, it's 10. I said, I'll try to work the math out to make it be 10. And he's got some earnest logic, I'm sure, to reason with you why it's 10 and not any other number. Yeah. Okay. This one, we got two left. Yeah. This one's the hardest one. Because this person, I'll play it. Listen, I've got so many goals in my life, so much I want to do, so much I want to accomplish.

[00:35:57] And yet, I often find myself letting them fall by the wayside when life gets in the way. And so, what I'm looking for, more than anything, is just a little bit of accountability and some form of structure. I think it's Zach from Love Island. Who put on a British accent? Yeah, I think that's fake. Somebody's doing a British accent. That's a fake accent, yeah. I don't know British people. Would that be Mary? No. All right.

[00:36:26] We said, let's get out. No 48. Yeah, let's get out of 48. It's not 48. Thank you. Who on 50 will put on a British accent? Or maybe not 50. It's somebody that Kyle hangs out with routinely. Andy Rueta? Could it be an Andy Rueta? Baby Andy. Situation. Mike the Situation. Yes, yes. He didn't answer my text either. I texted 90.

[00:36:56] Yeah. Don't say situationship. The OG survivor. Jersey Shore. Andy. Kelly. Kelly now Bandigan? Maybe. Listen, I've got so many goals in my life. So much I want to do. So much I want to accomplish. And yet, I often find myself letting them fall by the wayside when life gets in the way.

[00:37:24] And so, what I'm looking for more than anything, it's just a little bit of accountability and some form of structure. Hmm. Hmm. Isn't Andy, isn't, we know somebody who's like really good at accents or something like that. Oh, Christ. Any thoughts, Camilla? The pauses made me think teeny.

[00:37:54] That could be it. That could be. Because, oh. I like that. I like that. I feel like teeny would be good at accents. I feel like he could do really good accents. Are we locking in teeny? Rob, do you want to be the tiebreaker? Teenie's a good guess because Stephanie Berger gave you a curveball. So, I could see teeny giving you a curveball too. Yeah, they're really trying to throw us off. Let's go teeny.

[00:38:24] Unfortunately. You did have it right with Andy. That is Andy. And Andy is famously very good at accents. He's good at accents. I thought. Okay, because I was going to say the way they said structure wasn't that good. So, it's like, is this person really good at accents? He's going to dig at that guy. You can roast people. You're great at roasting people. All right. This is the last one. I have no doubt that you will get it. It's just how quickly you get it. Final answer.

[00:38:53] I just wanted to use this opportunity to remind everybody that Kyle pissed his pants on national television. He pissed his pants in the first immunity challenge. And he likes to lie about it and say it didn't happen. But it did. He pissed his pants. Camilla and I saw it. Samantha Pants Pisser. That's obviously Maggie. Joe Hunter. Eva Erikson. That is. That is Eva. That's our good friend.

[00:39:22] There we go. There you go. Wow. Not bad, right? Pretty good. I should have let Kyle do these because we would have got, what, three? If you stuck with Andy. I think it would have just been, yeah, just three. One more. Yeah. Just Andy. Okay. Brandon, do you have any goals that you think Paperclip could help you with? Yeah. I mean, I walk every day. I walk many, many miles a day. And I most of the time want to do that. But sometimes I don't. And what if I had a walking buddy who said, hey, I'm out walking.

[00:39:53] People say they look at my location because they have my location and I'm just somewhere in the city of Manhattan. I'm just some different place. I mean, that's because I walk around a lot. So maybe I need a walking buddy. Yeah. It sounds like you're doing great already. Yeah. That's why I wanted to say it. I don't need any help. I'm good. I can help you out if you need it. But I'm going to be walking every day anyway. I need the help. I need the help. Yeah. We could all walk. Robbie could fly up.

[00:40:23] We could go to the M&M store. Wow. You know, people like that. Yeah. I walk by it sometimes. All right. Well. Yeah. Good job, Brandon. Okay. Thank you, Brandon. All right. Well, that was fun. Anything else you want people to know about Paperclip and the Kickstarter and the work you're doing? I think for me. It was from David from Survivor 48.

[00:40:47] And I think he was saying that, from what he was saying, it sounded like he was saying that I should beta test the app. He referred to me as, I guess, a beta tester multiple times in the text I got from him. David be calling people betas. Yeah. No, we just really appreciate the community of Survivor.

[00:41:16] I think that both of us have had the experience that we were obviously working on this in secret for six months, which is obviously very – we're used to that. And we've had a lot of fun building it. I found that when we announced it right around the Survivor 50 finale, it felt real. And then we had to talk about it. And that has not been as easy. But it has been really cool that the Survivor community, a lot of our friends, our family have rallied behind us and believe in our idea and us, including you. So we just really appreciate you guys.

[00:41:46] Please check out our Kickstarter. You don't have to contribute. But even if you would just share it with somebody, it would mean a ton. And we're really excited to bring this to you all. All right. Well, thank you both for coming here and talking about it. I think it's really cool what you're working on. And I wish you all the success. Camilla, any other thoughts today? Yeah. I mean, same thing as Kyle. Like, thank all of you guys. Even, like, I don't – if you participate in the Kickstarter or whatever, it doesn't matter to me.

[00:42:12] But, like, all the kind messages we've been getting and, like, all of the support we've gotten from, like, our new network, our old friends has been so meaningful. Like, I never try and do things because I'm like, oh, my God, what if I fail? And so doing this was, like, a big thing. And, like, putting it out there, even scarier for me. So also, like, thank you, Kyle, for being with me through all of this because, like, I don't have it in me to do it on my own.

[00:42:38] And so – and, like, thank you, everyone, for, like, the super warm reception. And, Rob, thank you for having us on this, too. It's been awesome. Yeah. Well, congratulations on getting this far. I have no doubt you're going to be able to succeed. And I hope everybody goes and checks it out. Thank you for being here with us. And looking forward to catching up with you both again soon. Take care, everybody. Have a good one. Bye.
