[00:01:52] This week's Rob Dacheva, we know reality TV.

[00:02:03] Hey everybody, what's going on? Rob Cestrino back here with some Monday afternoon podcasting here.

[00:02:13] And I'm so excited to have back with us a woman who comes on every season to talk with us about what she's seeing.

[00:02:23] She only started watching the season several days ago. Please welcome back by my unofficial calculation, the 13th season in a row.

[00:02:34] Hannah Shapiro, Hannah, how are you?

[00:02:37] I'm great. Welcome back me. I don't know.

[00:02:40] Welcome back to you. Yes, welcome back to me.

[00:02:43] You know, I love that we get to do this once the season. I get to check in with a best friend Rob.

[00:02:50] This is, I believe, in front of an audience.

[00:02:53] Sam, I don't know if we have any kind of records on this, but I think that you're officially the iron woman of Rob as a podcast.

[00:03:02] I think this is now 13 seasons in a row. You're back here to talk about the first one way back when we were born in a, in a into fire in survivor game changers.

[00:03:17] And we've stood the test of time.

[00:03:22] We're here. It's so odd that it's been eight years since my season.

[00:03:27] Most of the millennials, except Will Wall are the ages that Gen X was.

[00:03:33] We, I have come on this podcast so many times that we are now what probes would call the old tribe.

[00:03:40] Although I saw a tweet that in when they split the tribe into old men, old women, young men, young women.

[00:03:47] 32, which is my age, was considered young man but old woman.

[00:03:52] So am I old or am I young? Patriarchy strikes again.

[00:03:56] There you go. So I'm old as a woman, but as a man, I'm still young.

[00:04:00] Yes, you would be young and virile as a man. But here you are back.

[00:04:06] And I think this is a record. I don't know if anybody else has ever done this in the history of Rob as a podcast. 13 seasons in a row.

[00:04:13] Thank you for having me back so many times.

[00:04:16] Yes.

[00:04:17] It's it's a fun tradition at this point.

[00:04:19] And I think it's a fun spot to have you because as I alluded to, you have not been watching this show.

[00:04:26] But then to get ready for your appearance, you've watched it all in a short amount of time.

[00:04:32] And so we can get your reactions to the whole thing.

[00:04:36] We're about it sort of like the two thirds mark in both our real time and then also in the game just doing some quick math.

[00:04:45] Yeah, it's about the day 16 was the last episode of a 26 day game.

[00:04:49] So we're around like two thirds of the way through.

[00:04:52] So you've experienced the last two odd months of our life in a very short amount of time.

[00:05:00] And I'm excited to get your reactions because you don't really know what people have been saying the last eight weeks.

[00:05:06] So you're sort of like in a bubble.

[00:05:09] Yeah, I mean, a couple things.

[00:05:11] I feel like when you watch it all at once, you really see the seeds that are planted storytelling wise.

[00:05:17] That's yeah, those seeds, those great seeds.

[00:05:20] I also even in my bubble, this cast has been so exuberant on the social media that some of some of their exuberance has popped through my bubble and reached even me.

[00:05:33] Okay.

[00:05:34] Yeah, I've really I've watched it.

[00:05:37] I feel like I have a superpower because at some points I was watching it at 2.7 speed.

[00:05:44] So people talk really fast in my head now.

[00:05:48] But I feel like you can process at 2.7.

[00:05:53] I didn't used to be able to I've in the past gone 1.7 but these 90 minute episodes they demand because do you know that a key point?

[00:06:04] Yeah, Akiva and I that we do a lot of 3x on Rennapp that will watch like the Fast and the Furious franchise at 3x.

[00:06:12] And boy, they are so fast and so furious at 3x.

[00:06:16] Tag me in for that because I don't know how I tried 3.2 and it was so fast.

[00:06:25] There were so many flashes.

[00:06:26] I started getting a headache.

[00:06:28] I do subtitles with 2.7.

[00:06:31] Some would say that's like a crutch but you know you can't go 2.7 and not have 2.7 snops like let her read the subtitles.

[00:06:40] Okay, let me read.

[00:06:42] She's speed reading like the flash if the flash is superpower wasn't running fast.

[00:06:48] It was just watching survivor where they talk really well this can be a two way street because if there's anything that you need my not to say you you would need to.

[00:06:57] But if there's anything like hey, I watched this very fast.

[00:07:00] Can you explain this to me what happened then?

[00:07:03] That might happen.

[00:07:04] Yeah, I am here for you this podcast now and you want to punish us by watching it at 2.7.

[00:07:10] Let's go a lot of people do then listen to this at 2.7.

[00:07:15] Yeah.

[00:07:16] Okay, so this is going to be a lot of fun looking forward to talking about it all through it.

[00:07:19] If you're looking for podcasts specifically about the last week that happened.

[00:07:24] We have a bunch for you talked.

[00:07:27] I started the week with Dr. Christian Hubicki had a great survivor know it all with Steven Fishback and then over the weekend Chappelle and I got together for club condo with Bruce from survivor 44 and survivor 45 very fun time going through everything from the week on that show.

[00:07:46] But here we're going to talk big picture and talk about where we're at right now in survivor 46 were live.

[00:07:53] Yeah, you've really created our own thing.

[00:07:57] We're not club condo.

[00:07:58] We're not after the episode.

[00:08:00] Nope.

[00:08:01] We're just hand it keeps coming back in our house.

[00:08:03] Where do we put her?

[00:08:05] Yeah, this is but this is like we're going to talk about the whole thing because I'm sure you have things that happened in episode one that are as fresh in your mind as what happened for us on Wednesday.

[00:08:16] I can't I can't wait to dive into the whole thing.

[00:08:20] Shout out as always.

[00:08:22] I know I won't focus on them too much but shout out to our live chat and our tour live listeners.

[00:08:26] Yeah, you shut them out of you guys.

[00:08:28] I shout them out.

[00:08:29] They are always so supportive.

[00:08:31] Yeah, I just don't want you to get the you know the chat blinders on where you know Allah Ron Burgundy you're just you're just reading the chat instead of having our conversation.

[00:08:44] I'm just, no of course I am you've got 95% of my attention 3% is to the chat 2% is I don't know how cute my dog looks sitting over there.

[00:08:56] Yes.

[00:08:57] And also chat.

[00:08:59] I'm also asking you please don't distract Hannah while we're trying to have an important conversation about survivor.

[00:09:07] Okay.

[00:09:08] Their their energy as we went into this has given me the confidence I need to talk with you on this special carved out me podcast that you created.

[00:09:19] Yeah, because this is all about you right now and we welcome the chat if you have questions go ahead post them away and then we'll bring them to Hannah if they are appropriate.

[00:09:29] Okay, Hannah what have you been working on since the last time we talked?

[00:09:34] Oh so much has I've been doing so much fun stuff.

[00:09:37] Mari for my season who yes everyone remembers the wrong.

[00:09:41] She 33.

[00:09:43] Yeah, we've been writing I've been writing comedy sketches that we've been doing together and I would love if you would like to check those out.

[00:09:51] We have new ones coming up this week.

[00:09:54] Some of the starting ones are survivor related you can go to my Instagram at Hannah Lilnessen it's in the thing I we've been I it's been so fun to like get to process some of the show through

[00:10:06] comedy and write little sketches for her she's obviously very talented.

[00:10:12] Yes, and you're still processing your own experience with the show.

[00:10:18] You know, maybe not the island time itself so much as what it's like being the faded star eight years later there's just so much odd because nobody's explored that yeah that part of it yet.

[00:10:34] I'm sure I'm sure people have dipped their toe in but I think it's I think it's fun to write comedy about reality show drama.

[00:10:45] Okay, all right well really enjoying writing it with her and and other comedy so check that check that out if you have time.

[00:10:53] I would love R.I.J. peers to let me know what they think of this.

[00:10:57] Did you see anything from survivor 46 that inspired you to potentially write a sketch.

[00:11:03] I mean I feel like most of the season has felt like a comedy sketch has it not.

[00:11:08] Yes, I mean this has been I mean I'm glad you have that same reaction to it but people are saying yeah this is kind of like a really wild season.

[00:11:19] It's like if they took like the biggest characters from every other season and put them all in one season you know it's like we have a Debbie and coach and all these people and they're like let's put them all in one season.

[00:11:34] Yeah, okay.

[00:11:35] Yeah it's a fun it's a it's a very colorful season where I think character comes before kind of gameplay.

[00:11:45] So would you say that survivor 46 is a sitcom.

[00:11:51] It's a sitcom with a lot of network notes that really pushed it in direction or is it a dramedy is it like a like a half hour like serious comedy.

[00:12:02] It feels more like a sitcom than a than a dramedy what do you think.

[00:12:06] Yeah I think so I think it's I could see a sitcom who's the main character though.

[00:12:11] That's what we're all trying to figure out aren't we I mean I.

[00:12:19] I mean do you do you choose the main character as the voice of reason or is the character some of these bigger personalities.

[00:12:26] Well I feel like that typically on these sitcoms I think historically like the sort of like the normal person is sort of like you're rock and then you have all of the colorful characters.

[00:12:39] And I think that if I was going to say if survivor 46 is a sitcom who's the main character.

[00:12:44] I feel like it's Charlie.

[00:12:46] Hmm.

[00:12:47] I have probably the other coin the other side of that coin I think Charlie is a great sitcom lead I also think it could be like a Kenzie is the lead and we're on like

[00:12:55] a new girl type thing.

[00:12:57] But I definitely think if we're talking voices of reason Charlie and Kenzie feel like our audience insight.

[00:13:05] Yeah.

[00:13:06] And then you have so many big personalities also.

[00:13:10] So many all the way through.

[00:13:12] I mean it's it's it's really you know Jeff Jeff started this season with one of the oddest starting speeches of modern survivor where he said some of you will have personalities that nobody will like and you'll lose at the end.

[00:13:32] And listen I'm a losing finalist so we all know this is true but what an odd way to start off a season where most people get voted out.

[00:13:40] And I thought what is he talking about.

[00:13:42] And then people laughed and he said they're laughing but it could be you.

[00:13:46] And I feel like that's a theme of the season somehow.

[00:13:50] Yeah.

[00:13:51] Which part of it is that that people will not be liked and they cannot win the game.

[00:13:58] And I think that you might have a personality that just doesn't jive with the cast you're on.

[00:14:05] And so if you find yourself at the end that personality will be your downfall seems to be what Jeff probes started as the theme of the season.

[00:14:15] And we're seeing a lot of big personalities sort of not jiving with the group as a whole.

[00:14:22] And just it felt like an odd thing to tell you know 18 people where 15 of them were not going to lose like 15 of them weren't going to get voted out.

[00:14:33] One of them was going to win all this is only going to be the case for potentially two of them so it seemed like an odd starting point which makes me think that there's some thematic reason he's saying this.

[00:14:44] Yeah.

[00:14:46] I think it would be hard for Jeff to necessarily you know be that omniscient to know necessarily if that was going to be the case but maybe it is that a truism from Jeff that every season this is the case.

[00:15:00] I mean it sure it could be the case for a person or two but the majority of the cast it won't ring true.

[00:15:07] And yeah he can't predict the season but if he gives a 10 minute speech and the one line they choose to really highlight is this line.

[00:15:17] Interesting.

[00:15:18] Maybe there's a reason.

[00:15:19] So do you think that maybe that Jeff goes out there and then just says like throws the kitchen sink at them and then in post we'll figure out what the theme was going to be.

[00:15:28] I will go with whatever points the season is going to be.

[00:15:32] And then that'll really make sense on a rewatch.

[00:15:35] I don't know if it's that extreme but I think that if if this started developing as the case if it's a big personality season if it's a season about navigating big personalities and finding yourself at the end with bigger personalities that don't jive maybe they kept that.

[00:15:53] Yeah, I like this.

[00:15:54] This is a good.

[00:15:55] This is a good plan that this you should be in the like a pre production meeting of like hey Jeff just throw a bunch of stuff in the wall don't worry it's going to come out great.

[00:16:05] I like the idea that there's one guy listening to the podcast who doesn't realize it's edited at all.

[00:16:11] I was that guy for a second.

[00:16:14] Come on Rob.

[00:16:16] Yeah, no editing.

[00:16:18] I know editing exists but I wasn't even thinking that maybe that maybe you could have edited in a different direction that maybe didn't make it seem like Jeff was saying that.

[00:16:27] It just seemed like a weird place to start.

[00:16:30] Yeah, and it seems to have, you know, it just seems to be a merge and a game of big personalities.

[00:16:40] Do you think that that speaks to that maybe there's somebody who gets to the end that may have played a good enough game to beat somebody else but then just for whatever reason the cut of their jib that the jury did not really connect with them.

[00:16:56] That's that seems to be the prediction.

[00:16:58] I mean interesting.

[00:17:00] I was a losing finalist.

[00:17:03] I understand that I that that judging that sort of thing would seem maybe glass houses shouldn't throw heavy stones, but I do feel like we're seeing personalities that are kind of being disregarded or not getting along with the group.

[00:17:23] And then we're watching, you know, people try to navigate through those personalities and that seems it seems like this season is a storm of personalities and whichever likeable charming person can sale the best through the store.

[00:17:41] That's going to be the winner versus sort of alliances and that sort of strategy.

[00:17:47] Okay.

[00:17:48] All right something to keep an eye on.

[00:17:49] Yes.

[00:17:50] Do you like this season?

[00:17:52] What's been your reaction to now processing?

[00:17:54] Because I was trying to think about how many hours you've consumed and we've seen eight episodes but don't forget 90 minute episodes and so okay.

[00:18:04] So there's eight.

[00:18:05] So at 90 minutes.

[00:18:07] So that gives us what 12 hours of show, but don't forget two of the episodes were two hours.

[00:18:13] So that's 13 and to match your 13 appearances across the years hours of survivor.

[00:18:22] I mean, that's with commercials.

[00:18:23] So you know, shorten it a little bit.

[00:18:26] I mean, listen, I've been the first 100 hours was just Yano.

[00:18:35] It's kind of hard when one tribe is losing forever.

[00:18:39] But you got to know them so well.

[00:18:41] You get to know them so well.

[00:18:43] And now we know Tiff Q and Kenzie better than we know ourselves.

[00:18:50] I, it feels like a different kind of survivor season than the other new era season so far.

[00:18:59] It feels like they put a bunch of flavors into a box and just shook it.

[00:19:06] I don't quite know how to process this season in terms of like and dislike.

[00:19:11] It just feels wonky.

[00:19:13] Yeah.

[00:19:14] Okay.

[00:19:15] Then let's talk about some of the things that have happened in the season, things that

[00:19:21] have been, you know, major themes.

[00:19:23] Do you want me to just throw things at you or do you have things that were standout

[00:19:29] moments for you that you want to talk about?

[00:19:31] Let's, you always start with your things.

[00:19:33] Let's, let's see what you want to talk about.

[00:19:35] Okay.

[00:19:36] I'm curious.

[00:19:37] All right.

[00:19:38] Well, you mentioned Bonnu and he was such a big part of the first half of what you've

[00:19:42] watched.

[00:19:43] What was your reaction to Bonnu?

[00:19:48] My reaction to Bonnu.

[00:19:52] I mean, it's, it's hard to watch someone who doesn't feel like they're having fun

[00:20:03] even in a tough spot.

[00:20:04] I think that Yanu as a tribe, as a whole seemed to really be having a brutal

[00:20:11] hand out to them.

[00:20:13] I think that, I mean, he definitely monologued like two whole episodes.

[00:20:22] Like it was mostly this one man and his story.

[00:20:26] Obviously, his, his overall story is inspiring off the island.

[00:20:34] But it's tough to have one narrator and a narrator that doesn't seem to be taking

[00:20:41] the show with any amount of humor.

[00:20:44] It's tough as a viewer.

[00:20:46] Now this part of the sitcom, the network's question, they said, is this

[00:20:50] a sitcom or you're right?

[00:20:52] Is that hard drama?

[00:20:54] It was, it was, it was, it was definitely there were parts that were tough

[00:20:59] to watch.

[00:21:00] I think him begging Tiff on his knees was especially hard to watch.

[00:21:07] I'll say, yeah.

[00:21:08] Yes, please, please help.

[00:21:10] Yeah.

[00:21:11] Well Bonnu, I mean in the real time people did not like this in terms of

[00:21:17] they felt like it was way too much.

[00:21:19] And in terms of like people's feelings about the season, that was the

[00:21:23] absolute nadir of season 46 in terms of the popularity of the season.

[00:21:29] That second week of all straight Bonnu was we, we touched bottom on season 46.

[00:21:38] It just, I really wanted to get to know a lot of people that we weren't

[00:21:45] really hearing from because they were winning, I guess.

[00:21:49] And again, if you're going to have one narrator monologuing the whole

[00:21:54] pre-emerge, you hope that it's someone who brings like different

[00:22:00] dimensions of levity and humor.

[00:22:02] And unfortunately that didn't really happen.

[00:22:06] Did Bonnu win your heart, Hannah?

[00:22:11] Can he add it to the 999,999.

[00:22:20] Listen, I'll give him my heart.

[00:22:22] I'm sorry if he got brutalized earlier on in the season.

[00:22:27] I don't know that everyone is built for the trenches that is social

[00:22:33] media reacting to you on live TV.

[00:22:36] If he needs my heart to help heal, then he can have part of it.

[00:22:42] Okay.

[00:22:43] Well, all right.

[00:22:44] That was Bonnu.

[00:22:46] Okay.

[00:22:47] That was Bonnu.

[00:22:48] All right.

[00:22:49] That was a lot quicker than the Bonnu section that I watched.

[00:22:53] Okay.

[00:22:54] Well, if you have anything else to say about Bonnu, you know,

[00:22:57] this is the time.

[00:22:58] Maybe I should throw things back and forth because there was

[00:23:02] someone who left that I was very sad she left as early as she did.

[00:23:06] Yes.

[00:23:07] Okay.

[00:23:08] I think I know who it's going to be.

[00:23:09] It's Gem.

[00:23:10] You love Gem.

[00:23:11] I loved Gem.

[00:23:13] I thought Gem was the exact kind of chaos that is fun to

[00:23:18] watch.

[00:23:19] Her chaos still has repercussions that are playing out on the

[00:23:24] show.

[00:23:25] I was really sad that Gem left and I think she would have

[00:23:29] been a really fun merge player.

[00:23:32] I mean, to be a smaller woman and to still have fun and be good

[00:23:36] TV and the pre-merge is very hard.

[00:23:39] And I think Gem would have been a Gem post-merge and her whole

[00:23:46] idle chaos, putting the thing back and then turning it into

[00:23:51] basically a game of werewolf of who is lying was brilliant.

[00:23:55] And I think that justice for Gem.

[00:23:58] Justice for Gem.

[00:23:59] Gem for second chances.

[00:24:00] Gem has my heart.

[00:24:02] She did create a lot of chaos and chaos that is still, as you

[00:24:05] mentioned, being felt to this day.

[00:24:07] There was a secret scene this week where I guess like in the

[00:24:10] real time that I had questioned like, is this a good move?

[00:24:14] And then when she got voted out by the whole tribe other

[00:24:17] than Mariah, I said, okay, well, I think that probably they

[00:24:21] all said, okay, we were not fooled by what happened.

[00:24:25] And maybe Tim wasn't and maybe Ben wasn't.

[00:24:29] But Maria in this secret scene from this week still is not

[00:24:34] even considering that Gem was a person, especially when Maria

[00:24:36] played the two votes on her.

[00:24:38] I kind of thought, all right, maybe Maria has had it

[00:24:41] with her, but no, we never really got the answer to why

[00:24:45] Maria voted out Gem and played her second vote on it.

[00:24:48] But also Maria still thinks that it was Tim or Ben that

[00:24:52] planted the Beware Advantage.

[00:24:54] Yeah, poor Ben.

[00:24:56] It just seems like the most genuine soul.

[00:24:58] I mean, he just broke down when Tim left his buddy and then

[00:25:02] to really just feel this human connection and have someone

[00:25:07] being like, you're lying is hard.

[00:25:10] Yeah, I'm not sure why.

[00:25:13] Oh my gosh, Mariah.

[00:25:15] Did I say it?

[00:25:17] It depends what you're going to say.

[00:25:19] There was a Mariah.

[00:25:21] Oh no, hold on.

[00:25:22] I know her name.

[00:25:23] I know her name.

[00:25:24] Yeah, Maria.

[00:25:25] I'm so sorry, Maria.

[00:25:26] Maria, I will tattoo your name onto my body as penance.

[00:25:29] I'm not sure why Maria turned against Gem either.

[00:25:33] I think there was maybe some interpersonal stuff we weren't

[00:25:36] picking up on some reason she seemingly felt closer to

[00:25:40] the boys.

[00:25:41] I felt like that female three would have been good for

[00:25:44] Maria, especially pulling Charlie in.

[00:25:47] I think for Maria's game.

[00:25:48] Charlie's Angels, I loved.

[00:25:50] We had Bryce's Angels in our R I J P game.

[00:25:54] So any Angels, I'm a big fan of a guy with the three ladies.

[00:25:59] But yeah, poor Ben just really, really a genuine soul.

[00:26:05] Yeah.

[00:26:06] And yeah, Gem has, I think they did not figure out Gem.

[00:26:11] I just think they thought she was smart and sort of came

[00:26:15] across conniving or something.

[00:26:17] But I, I think, I think Gem had a lot of potential that sort

[00:26:21] of sort of left with the pre-emerge unfortunately.

[00:26:26] Would you do something like that?

[00:26:27] Would you find to be where advantage and then,

[00:26:29] and then re-hide it just to mess with people just to see

[00:26:32] the look on their face when they go look for it.

[00:26:34] And it's not there.

[00:26:36] I wish I had.

[00:26:37] I think it's really fun.

[00:26:39] I think, I think that's the kind of chaos that is fun.

[00:26:43] Right?

[00:26:44] You're not, you're not being mean to people.

[00:26:47] You're not sort of,

[00:26:48] They did get bit by the ants.

[00:26:50] Yeah.

[00:26:52] Giant ants.

[00:26:53] That's true.

[00:26:54] That is hard.

[00:26:56] You know, she really made them dig through ants.

[00:26:58] Hannah and you didn't know this,

[00:27:00] but we then found out that somebody from season 43

[00:27:05] tweeted actually that area that they're digging,

[00:27:09] that was our latrine.

[00:27:14] Well, the whole beach was our latrine in 33

[00:27:17] and they haven't moved beaches.

[00:27:20] Production told us to stop pooping everywhere

[00:27:23] and then they stayed in Fiji.

[00:27:25] You were one of the first people to poop on those beaches.

[00:27:29] We were, we, you know, other than the OG Fiji season,

[00:27:33] season 33 started the Fiji run though.

[00:27:38] I just thought it was,

[00:27:41] it was she created a game of who's lying.

[00:27:44] It was maybe it wasn't the best move she ever made.

[00:27:48] Maybe she should have shared with her ladies to bring them

[00:27:52] tighter to her.

[00:27:53] What a coulda shoulda.

[00:27:54] I just think that Jim,

[00:27:56] I think Jim could have been a more,

[00:28:01] a bigger bring Jim back.

[00:28:05] Yes. Okay.

[00:28:06] You mentioned about Ben, okay?

[00:28:08] Uh-huh.

[00:28:09] Ben that we've gotten to see that he loves music.

[00:28:13] He's a super nice guy,

[00:28:15] but he's running to a bit of a hard time.

[00:28:18] First off, that he has a catchphrase.

[00:28:21] Oh, he does.

[00:28:22] Yes.

[00:28:23] What do you think of his catchphrase?

[00:28:24] This does not rock.

[00:28:26] You gotta, you gotta brand yourself now.

[00:28:31] They're all selling merch.

[00:28:32] So I guess you have to, should I have sold merch?

[00:28:37] What would have been your merch?

[00:28:39] Should we brainstorm this for a minute?

[00:28:41] I want to know what yours would be too.

[00:28:43] I mean, what if I started at like a glasses line?

[00:28:47] Ooh. Okay.

[00:28:48] Kind of like I designed glasses and then it just said

[00:28:53] Hannah across the rim.

[00:28:56] I like that.

[00:28:57] I mean, that'd be pretty good.

[00:28:59] I'm really proud of what I just created.

[00:29:02] Let us know if you're listening,

[00:29:04] if you would buy glasses that said Hannah across the rim

[00:29:09] or Hannah Lil' Nesset.

[00:29:11] Yeah.

[00:29:12] I mean, the problem for me was,

[00:29:14] you know, I had the magic apple,

[00:29:15] but I don't know if that's necessarily merch

[00:29:17] because it's somebody else's product.

[00:29:21] And that's frowned upon.

[00:29:23] That's frowned upon.

[00:29:24] Yes.

[00:29:25] I did do some, like I got signed to a,

[00:29:30] like this is if I may, okay?

[00:29:33] Tell some Hollywood stories.

[00:29:34] No.

[00:29:35] I want to hear a big Hollywood.

[00:29:37] Let's hear them.

[00:29:38] So after I play on Survivor the Amazon,

[00:29:42] they used to let us bring something called a luxury item.

[00:29:45] You got to bring one thing from home.

[00:29:47] You know what?

[00:29:48] Bring them back.

[00:29:49] Who cares?

[00:29:50] Yeah.

[00:29:51] Let them bring you.

[00:29:52] Look, who cares?

[00:29:54] Somebody's going to bring like a thing from home.

[00:29:57] Then you don't have to flash back.

[00:29:58] I here's my thing from home.

[00:29:59] I'll just tell the story of my home.

[00:30:01] Yep.

[00:30:02] I like it.

[00:30:03] Okay.

[00:30:04] So they let us bring one thing.

[00:30:06] I brought the magic eight ball just as something to have fun.

[00:30:12] You know, I thought it'd be boring out there.

[00:30:14] I had all like all my suggestions were like toys,

[00:30:16] like an extra sketch,

[00:30:17] just something to pass the time.

[00:30:19] And the people at Mattel.

[00:30:23] Now, maybe they are going to like,

[00:30:25] they made the Barbie movie.

[00:30:26] Maybe they're going to make the magic eight ball movie.

[00:30:29] I don't know.

[00:30:30] Maybe maybe they should like,

[00:30:32] maybe I'll have a cameo.

[00:30:35] Probably not.

[00:30:36] So you're basically saying you would like an entire movie

[00:30:40] as your merch?

[00:30:41] Sure.

[00:30:42] Sure.

[00:30:43] I mean it would be it.

[00:30:44] Look, it would be like a nice Easter egg for you.

[00:30:46] Nice Easter egg for the people who are in the know to put me in

[00:30:50] the magic eight ball movie.

[00:30:51] I agree.

[00:30:52] Yeah.

[00:30:53] I just like that your merch is a blockbuster hit.

[00:30:56] It's going to be a huge.

[00:30:57] I just want to clarify that that's what it is.

[00:30:59] So then after the season was over,

[00:31:02] then the people at Mattel reached out to CBS.

[00:31:05] They said we'd like to sign Rob to make appearances.

[00:31:09] Hollywood.

[00:31:10] To promote the magic eight ball.

[00:31:13] Oh my God.

[00:31:14] Hollywood.

[00:31:16] They are they contracted me to make,

[00:31:20] I believe three appearances to go and promote the magic eight ball.

[00:31:26] Oh wow.

[00:31:27] Mm hmm.

[00:31:28] Yes.

[00:31:29] And how'd they go?

[00:31:31] So first of all,

[00:31:32] I think they only ended up using two.

[00:31:35] I think they had they paid me for all three,

[00:31:37] but I think they only,

[00:31:38] I think they only thought of two to use me at.

[00:31:41] I don't remember the other one,

[00:31:44] but I can tell you that one of them was a New York City PR

[00:31:51] launch for KY warming jelly.

[00:31:54] That is there was a big event and I went there to the K the

[00:32:00] KY warming jelly party and you could find pictures of this

[00:32:05] online.

[00:32:06] This is not a joke.

[00:32:07] And I take pictures with the magic eight ball.

[00:32:11] This is how Hollywood works.

[00:32:13] If anyone's listening, this is exactly how it works.

[00:32:16] Wow.

[00:32:17] So your name was almost synonymous with magic eight balls.

[00:32:22] Oh, I think at NKY warming jelly that gets hot.

[00:32:27] They just invented it.

[00:32:29] People probably think, you know, people today probably

[00:32:33] think, oh, they've that's been around for a hunt.

[00:32:35] No.

[00:32:36] They got invented and there was a big PR campaign.

[00:32:40] Now, maybe I'm going to be called names, but what exactly is

[00:32:45] a warming jelly?

[00:32:47] What is the purpose of that?

[00:32:49] Is it like icy hot?

[00:32:51] Yeah, a little bit like it gets.

[00:32:53] Yeah.

[00:32:54] Like here's here's some pictures of that day.

[00:32:57] Okay.

[00:32:58] So I'm so glad we've gone.

[00:33:00] I just did a Google search for Rob's sister,

[00:33:02] Nino KY jelly.

[00:33:03] And so here's a picture of me with this woman.

[00:33:06] I don't know who this woman is.

[00:33:08] Shelly Nash,

[00:33:10] Shelly Nash, the heiress of KY jelly.

[00:33:13] Yes.

[00:33:14] Yeah.

[00:33:15] Here's here she is.

[00:33:16] Don't don't really have any information of but shelly

[00:33:19] Nash and Rob Cisternino from survivor during the KY

[00:33:23] brand personal lubricants launch holding the eight ball.

[00:33:27] Yes.

[00:33:28] That they had to that they sent me there to go

[00:33:31] like, well sure.

[00:33:32] Hey, hey, do we have any places we could send Rob to go

[00:33:35] promote this children's toy?

[00:33:37] Hey, how about the KY jelly launch party?

[00:33:40] Perfect.

[00:33:41] Okay.

[00:33:42] The chat is letting me know that KY jelly is for intimacy.

[00:33:45] That was my fear is that I was.

[00:33:47] Oh, yeah.

[00:33:48] Yes.

[00:33:49] You didn't know that?

[00:33:50] Yes.

[00:33:51] And it gets, it gets hot on touch.

[00:33:55] It's, it's you can use it for massages also.

[00:34:00] Okay.

[00:34:01] My parents listening to this pot so I can't, I can't speak

[00:34:04] further on that.

[00:34:06] Wow.

[00:34:07] Look at you.

[00:34:08] There I am.

[00:34:09] Check that.

[00:34:10] I've got the eight ball.

[00:34:11] It's it got burnt maybe from too much warming jelly.

[00:34:14] It's too hot.

[00:34:16] So the cast, this cast that is promoting their merch has

[00:34:20] nothing nothing on me.

[00:34:22] And here I am with this other woman also.

[00:34:25] Look at these.

[00:34:26] Look at all these.

[00:34:27] Look at all these women that are here.

[00:34:29] What do they do?

[00:34:30] I don't know.

[00:34:31] I'm going to tell Nicole.

[00:34:32] She went, I mean she knew right.

[00:34:35] I don't know if she's happy but I don't.

[00:34:40] I was working the other woman other than this was work.

[00:34:45] I got paid to be there.

[00:34:48] I don't want you posing with anyone else but Nicole.

[00:34:52] I had like, Hey, can you hold up the eight ball?

[00:34:58] There's on the Google search.

[00:35:00] There's you and Nicole.

[00:35:01] Yeah.

[00:35:02] Those are other pictures.

[00:35:03] Those are other pictures from there that night.

[00:35:06] You know, we were.

[00:35:08] Shelly Nash.

[00:35:10] And then I don't know who these other people are for the

[00:35:14] other, the other K Y women.

[00:35:19] We were asked to submit luxury items, but we were never going

[00:35:23] to be allowed to have them.

[00:35:25] But we were asked because Zeke, I remember Zeke said he had a

[00:35:29] pillow with his dog, family dog that had died and he was going

[00:35:33] to sneak idle materials into the pillow.

[00:35:36] Yeah.

[00:35:37] Okay.

[00:35:38] That's pretty good.

[00:35:39] That's a good idea.

[00:35:40] Wow.

[00:35:41] Rob Hollywood.

[00:35:43] Yep.

[00:35:44] It was actually New York City, but look, I'm just like,

[00:35:46] I don't want to brag.

[00:35:47] Okay.

[00:35:48] I don't want to say like, Oh, I'm super famous.

[00:35:52] But look, this was the kind of stuff that happened in 2003.

[00:35:56] Okay.

[00:35:59] But see now this all ties back into Ben's catchphrase.

[00:36:03] This does not one last thing that I walked around this party.

[00:36:08] This is not the, the, the, this is a facsimile magic

[00:36:12] ball.

[00:36:13] Okay.

[00:36:14] And you know, I walked around this party and then people

[00:36:17] were just very curious about why, why are you walking

[00:36:21] around with a broken magic eight ball?

[00:36:26] That was your into Hollywood or to New York?

[00:36:28] Yeah.

[00:36:29] Well, that was my look.

[00:36:30] It's a good thing that because what an opener I had at

[00:36:33] the KY jelly party of like, like, Oh, look at that

[00:36:37] interesting object you have.

[00:36:39] I'm going to ask him a question about it.

[00:36:43] Rob's Hollywood famous past that's, that's the thesis of

[00:36:48] this.

[00:36:49] We all have our stories of our brushes with fame.

[00:36:54] Hannah's got a million.

[00:36:56] My story of my brush with fame is that I went to this

[00:37:00] guy's birthday party.

[00:37:02] This guy who was some big sort of like show runner type

[00:37:06] that invited me, David Wright and Cochran as sort of,

[00:37:10] I like to think of it as like hired party clowns, but we

[00:37:13] were like survivor players.

[00:37:15] We were like the sort of, uh, brought in entertainment.

[00:37:20] He was very nice, but I was like, Oh, I'm just, I'm a

[00:37:23] prop for this birthday because it was survivor themed.

[00:37:25] Yes.

[00:37:26] And we had to do little challenges and I was

[00:37:28] doing a challenge with this woman and she kept

[00:37:31] saying, Oh, my husband's such a big fan.

[00:37:33] You have to meet him.

[00:37:34] And I was like, okay, like cool.

[00:37:37] I having to meet him.

[00:37:38] She was lovely.

[00:37:39] And then she goes, Oh, hey, Adam and Adam Scott walks

[00:37:42] over.

[00:37:43] Yeah.

[00:37:44] And my biggest regret is that I didn't say Adam, we

[00:37:47] should get a picture cause you're a fan.

[00:37:49] He was very nice, but that I, that was my, my

[00:37:55] Hollywood party where I was basically the hired

[00:37:59] sort of like, look, we brought real life survivor

[00:38:03] players.

[00:38:04] Yeah.

[00:38:05] And you know what that did rock?

[00:38:06] Okay.

[00:38:07] It did.

[00:38:08] It did rock.

[00:38:09] Yeah.

[00:38:10] Um, I think it's, I think it's funny that, you

[00:38:14] know, obviously now we have Mike White in the

[00:38:16] community.

[00:38:17] Yes.

[00:38:18] That keeps, you know, elevating people to white

[00:38:20] lotus fame.

[00:38:21] And bringing other survivors onto the white lotus.

[00:38:24] Yes.

[00:38:25] Um, I think one of the actresses went on a

[00:38:28] talk show and said, Angelina thought like,

[00:38:30] yeah, she said she thought Angelina was like a

[00:38:33] present for her for the day.

[00:38:35] Um, it's not survivor fame is not a fame in

[00:38:39] which people see.

[00:38:40] Hold on.

[00:38:41] When you say, yeah, when you say a present

[00:38:43] because the woman was such a big survivor fan

[00:38:46] that, that she thought that Mike White had

[00:38:49] gifted her like, um, like a literal survivor.

[00:38:53] Like, you like,

[00:38:54] Well, she was like kind of, and this, a similar

[00:38:57] talk show, a talk show woman.

[00:38:59] Like in a, in a human trafficking sort of way of

[00:39:02] like, here's your survivor that you get to keep.

[00:39:05] You want to know the weird thing.

[00:39:07] This is the second talk show where this has

[00:39:09] happened because, uh, the Miss Maisel actress is

[00:39:12] a big survivor fan.

[00:39:13] Yes.

[00:39:14] Uh, Rachel, I heard that.

[00:39:15] And she and Andrea was an extra on Miss Maisel.

[00:39:19] And she wanted to keep Andrea.

[00:39:21] Yes.

[00:39:22] She went on a talk show and was like,

[00:39:24] I thought Andrea was a present for me.

[00:39:26] Okay.

[00:39:27] So this is getting confused, not in a human trafficking sense.

[00:39:30] I think that survivor players are seen as like

[00:39:34] Pokemon trading cards kind of.

[00:39:36] We're just like, gotta catch them all weird.

[00:39:39] Kind of.

[00:39:40] Yeah.

[00:39:41] This might not, this might be too inside baseball.

[00:39:43] Yeah.

[00:39:44] Do you think that maybe one day we'll,

[00:39:46] we'll both be locked up in the same basement?

[00:39:49] Of some, of some famous celebrity that just

[00:39:52] collected us all.

[00:39:54] I mean, Cia collects the most publicly.

[00:39:57] But I don't think she keeps them.

[00:40:01] She says like catch and release.

[00:40:03] Like she brings them in and she brings them to her home,

[00:40:07] but then she lets them go.

[00:40:10] I hope whichever celebrity catches me,

[00:40:13] lets me go.

[00:40:14] Yeah.

[00:40:15] They get to go back free, you know.

[00:40:19] This at this point in the podcast,

[00:40:21] this is usually when we'd be two and a half hours in,

[00:40:24] not the first 45 minutes.

[00:40:27] Someone is listening and thinking they're not talking about

[00:40:31] the season.

[00:40:32] We did say we were going to talk about the season.

[00:40:36] Yes.

[00:40:37] We will, we are going to continue to talk about the season.

[00:40:39] Yeah.

[00:40:40] Let's, let's, let's refocus onto the season.

[00:40:43] All right.

[00:40:44] Tell me Hannah, what did you make of the young man who

[00:40:48] got the whole season started?

[00:40:50] The man that goes by the name Jalinsky.

[00:40:53] I apparently, this weekend is Adam Klein's wedding,

[00:41:00] his nuptials.

[00:41:01] Congratulations to Adam Klein.

[00:41:04] And Kaylee who is amazing.

[00:41:06] Yes.

[00:41:07] And she is the best and I love Kaylee so much.

[00:41:10] And I'm so happy for them.

[00:41:12] I'm just going to cry the whole time.

[00:41:14] They honestly are such a good couple.

[00:41:16] There's rarely a couple where you see them on social media

[00:41:19] and they're as happy as they are.

[00:41:21] They are.

[00:41:22] Yes.

[00:41:23] Now, are they registered anywhere?

[00:41:24] Does Adam want any survivors?

[00:41:27] He's a big fan.

[00:41:29] Pokemon.

[00:41:30] Well, that's the thing I heard through the rumored

[00:41:34] grapevine that Sir Jalinsky might be there.

[00:41:37] So I will get to meet Jalinsky in a week.

[00:41:41] I don't know if again this is two inside baseball.

[00:41:43] No.

[00:41:44] So I'm sure Jalinsky is listening to this right now.

[00:41:48] So I'm excited to meet Jalinsky.

[00:41:50] This kid was 22, a super fan.

[00:41:53] I'm just, I'm a bit sad that he only lasted several seconds.

[00:41:58] I really, I think he would have been fun.

[00:42:01] I love that his name has been echoed throughout the season as a super fan.

[00:42:07] Yeah.

[00:42:08] Yeah.

[00:42:09] Unfortunately that, that Yannu tribe.

[00:42:12] Yes.

[00:42:13] So, you know, brain brains tribe back in the, you know, the Spencer,

[00:42:17] Natasha.

[00:42:18] Do you think looking back, do you think that Rachel Echo could have

[00:42:22] like gotten like a catchphrase out there that could have been repeated

[00:42:26] throughout millennials versus Gen X?

[00:42:29] Rachel who will also be at the Klein nuptials.

[00:42:34] You know, I, I didn't, I wasn't out there at all with Rachel.

[00:42:38] So I don't know what she was saying.

[00:42:40] But it may, if she, if Jeff could have said,

[00:42:44] if she could have just like gotten a word wrong in a memorable way

[00:42:50] that just was an earworm for everybody.

[00:42:53] I wish, I wish she had,

[00:42:55] I wish Rachel's name echoed throughout our season.

[00:42:58] Oh, echoed.

[00:43:00] Rachel, that was intentional.

[00:43:05] Yeah.

[00:43:06] Do you think Hannah, if you're in it, not to say you personally.

[00:43:09] Okay. But hypothetically, somebody's listening to this podcast.

[00:43:12] They're going to be on Survivor 40 several.

[00:43:15] It's day two.

[00:43:17] 40 several.

[00:43:18] Yes.

[00:43:19] It's day two.

[00:43:20] Things are not going well.

[00:43:21] Things are, it's, it's looking bleak.

[00:43:25] Do you, do you just swing for the fences with like saying

[00:43:31] something bizarre that is going to be the episode title

[00:43:34] that maybe people are going to repeat so you can Jalinsky

[00:43:38] yourself into eternity?

[00:43:41] I think that if things are not going well,

[00:43:44] that you should have fun and you should do that.

[00:43:48] I think you asked me about Bonnu and I don't have anything as a person

[00:43:53] inherently negative to say about the man.

[00:43:55] But I just think if things are not going well,

[00:43:58] why not have a blast?

[00:44:01] Like if you were like, I am,

[00:44:03] I almost swore if I, if you are screwed,

[00:44:07] if you are, if you're like, I'm a hundred percent,

[00:44:10] like people just are not, it's not working.

[00:44:14] Then just have a good, I mean, have a great time.

[00:44:18] Like really soak it in.

[00:44:20] Yeah. Jalinsky it.

[00:44:22] I think, I think you really should Jalinsky.

[00:44:25] Oh my gosh.

[00:44:26] Look, look who's in the chat.

[00:44:27] I know no distractions of the chat,

[00:44:29] but I believe tenured professor,

[00:44:31] Professor Christian Hubecki is in the chat.

[00:44:33] Jalinsky will be single-handedly responsible for giving us

[00:44:36] a first boot all stars.

[00:44:38] Yeah.

[00:44:39] He could be back.

[00:44:40] He could be back as a first boot.

[00:44:42] I don't know if we'll have a whole cast

[00:44:44] unless everybody follows his footsteps.

[00:44:47] Yeah.

[00:44:49] When it was season 50, first boot all stars.

[00:44:53] Yeah.

[00:44:54] So Jalinsky, he really made a mark on the season.

[00:44:59] He made several marks.

[00:45:01] He certainly did.

[00:45:02] They're still talking about him every episode.

[00:45:04] Did you see now when they were going through the episodes?

[00:45:07] I don't know if you saw that episode seven was called episode several.

[00:45:13] From CBS.

[00:45:14] Was it?

[00:45:15] Yes.

[00:45:16] Was it?

[00:45:17] Yes.

[00:45:18] That's not a joke.

[00:45:19] I feel gullible.

[00:45:20] No, I'm not lying.

[00:45:22] Oh my gosh.

[00:45:23] It is.

[00:45:24] You're not lying.

[00:45:25] I'm not lying.

[00:45:26] His impact, right?

[00:45:29] This shows you I'm very gullible and a very bad liar.

[00:45:33] I should have never played survivor.

[00:45:35] I had to check.

[00:45:36] Yes.

[00:45:37] The Jalinsky impact.

[00:45:39] Yeah.

[00:45:40] If you're going to go out there as a super fan and you're going to go home on day two,

[00:45:45] you're going to, he got to name an episode.

[00:45:47] He gets mentioned all the time.

[00:45:49] Every week.

[00:45:50] I think, I think Jeff misses him.

[00:45:52] Honestly.

[00:45:53] They miss him.

[00:45:54] They miss him.

[00:45:55] He's so exciting.

[00:45:56] Hannah.

[00:45:57] Okay.

[00:45:58] So it's hypothetically, it's, it's day two, maybe day three.

[00:46:01] You're playing your first time player.

[00:46:03] Things aren't going well.

[00:46:05] Is 26 days or 26 days?

[00:46:07] 26 days.

[00:46:08] Okay.

[00:46:09] What are you saying?

[00:46:10] Yeah.

[00:46:11] What's your, what's your Jalinsky ism that makes sure people are never going to forget

[00:46:17] your name?

[00:46:18] I think I go old school and just burn everything down.

[00:46:21] You burn everything.

[00:46:22] Well, I think it's harder to use everything in conversation.

[00:46:26] You don't have Flint though.

[00:46:28] I guess that's harder too.

[00:46:29] Yeah.

[00:46:30] I don't know.

[00:46:31] I really, I feel like you start, you start wearing everybody's clothes.

[00:46:37] You just put on everybody's clothing.

[00:46:39] Put everyone's clothes on and just burn it down.

[00:46:43] What's your phrase?

[00:46:44] What's your day two?

[00:46:45] Remember me forever.

[00:46:46] I think what Jalinsky did is hard.

[00:46:49] Yeah.

[00:46:50] It's hard.

[00:46:51] I almost feel like that.

[00:46:52] I guess he could like make up some kind of like a colloquialism and people

[00:46:57] like, is that a phrase?

[00:46:58] I don't know if that's actually a phrase that people use.

[00:47:01] But what he did was that he like had like a point of contention of like,

[00:47:06] you said several, several means seven and people didn't know,

[00:47:10] no, no, no, no, no, no, they correct him of, but,

[00:47:13] but what is your thing?

[00:47:15] I was, what if, what if maybe I get there and I'm,

[00:47:19] I'm like mad that I thought a coconut was chocolate.

[00:47:24] It's called cocoa.

[00:47:26] It's supposed to, it's supposed to be chocolate.

[00:47:29] What the hell is this?

[00:47:31] Wow.

[00:47:32] You Jalinskyed it.

[00:47:34] No, it's not coconut.

[00:47:37] It's a coconut.

[00:47:41] See you and Jalinsky have cute little things to be remembered

[00:47:45] and I'm putting everyone's clothes and burning down the camp.

[00:47:48] Yeah.

[00:47:49] I don't know if that would be remembered fondly.

[00:47:53] Oh, sorry.

[00:47:54] I just got a text that my mom has sent a question.

[00:47:57] Yes.

[00:47:58] Okay.

[00:47:59] Is it a voicemail?

[00:48:00] I believe so.

[00:48:01] That doesn't have to be an immediate.

[00:48:03] Should we go right to it?

[00:48:05] Should we go right to it?

[00:48:07] Okay.

[00:48:08] I tried to turn off messages on my computer and I'm still getting

[00:48:11] Jing.

[00:48:12] Okay.

[00:48:13] Jing.

[00:48:14] Jalinsky.

[00:48:16] Yeah.

[00:48:17] I feel like, yeah.

[00:48:20] I mean there's different ways to be remembered.

[00:48:22] I mean, Zach got remembered because Mary Ann.

[00:48:25] Yeah.

[00:48:26] That wasn't even what he did.

[00:48:27] Yeah.

[00:48:28] I know she just sort of lobby one.

[00:48:30] He was just, you know, so attractive that Mary Ann had to

[00:48:34] comment on him even though he was gone.

[00:48:36] I mean, that's hard to, you know, to like.

[00:48:39] To replicate or to ensure.

[00:48:41] Yes.

[00:48:42] Yes.

[00:48:43] It's hard to ensure that you're just so, you know,

[00:48:46] beautiful and someone's type that you get automatically

[00:48:49] remembered that way.

[00:48:51] I think what Jalinsky did is almost as hard as winning.

[00:48:55] I think it's very hard to be.

[00:48:58] Yeah.

[00:48:59] Oh, no.

[00:49:00] After there are winners that we don't talk about as much as

[00:49:03] Jalinsky.

[00:49:06] I mean, I props, props to Jalinsky.

[00:49:09] I will let you know what he does at the wedding.

[00:49:12] How he's remembered.

[00:49:14] Yeah.

[00:49:15] At this wedding.

[00:49:16] Yeah.

[00:49:17] Maybe that's his thing.

[00:49:18] Any event he goes to, he just.

[00:49:20] I mean.

[00:49:21] Is, do you think he has material of like if the wedding is

[00:49:25] like, I'm sure it's going to be great, but like for whatever

[00:49:28] reason, you know, there's like a lull in the action.

[00:49:31] Do you think he has material ready to go?

[00:49:34] I think he's ready to do Jalinsky all over this wedding.

[00:49:40] I feel like that's not a good verb.

[00:49:44] Yeah.

[00:49:45] It sounds like I'm.

[00:49:46] I think if it's your wedding, I don't think you want to

[00:49:49] get Jalinsky.

[00:49:50] It's not my wedding.

[00:49:52] Yeah.

[00:49:53] It is not my wedding.

[00:49:54] So, okay.

[00:49:55] We got to hear from my mom.

[00:49:57] All right.

[00:49:58] All right.

[00:49:59] She's flexed in me that she sent it.

[00:50:01] All right.

[00:50:02] Here's what do you think your mom is going to want to ask?

[00:50:04] Do you have a prediction?

[00:50:05] I mean, I have a sense that she's going to give us her

[00:50:08] winner pick and she's been vocal about this to me.

[00:50:11] So I won't spoil it for her voicemail.

[00:50:13] Okay.

[00:50:14] All right.

[00:50:15] Here's Hannah's mom.

[00:50:16] Hi, Hannah.

[00:50:17] Hi, Rob.

[00:50:18] Hi, Liz.

[00:50:19] I hope I make it into your podcast.

[00:50:22] I just spent the day.

[00:50:23] You're here.

[00:50:24] It's the mobile in back country skiing.

[00:50:26] Wow.

[00:50:27] And that made me think I better ask my usual question,

[00:50:31] which is who you guys think will win this year?

[00:50:35] My pick is Hunter.

[00:50:37] Oh.

[00:50:38] I think he is great that he practices the challenges

[00:50:42] at home, not just the jigsaw puzzles and that he is

[00:50:47] a science teacher.

[00:50:49] And so he probably needs a million dollars.

[00:50:53] Also, I think he would have enjoyed my adventure in the

[00:50:58] back country today.

[00:51:00] So I'm going with Hunter.

[00:51:02] Let me know who you think will win.

[00:51:05] Bye.

[00:51:06] Okay.

[00:51:07] Hunter.

[00:51:08] Hunter.

[00:51:09] I feel I want Hunter if you hear this to please go skiing

[00:51:13] with my mom.

[00:51:14] I feel like she sounds like she would welcome you skiing.

[00:51:18] Yeah.

[00:51:19] Okay.

[00:51:20] Hunter.

[00:51:21] Sweet, sweet boy.

[00:51:22] Yes.

[00:51:23] What do you think of mom's winner pick?

[00:51:25] I think Hunter is very vulnerable.

[00:51:28] I understand why my mom is rooting for him.

[00:51:30] I mean, he's so good at hide and seek.

[00:51:33] If that doesn't say something, no, I mean a full ride to

[00:51:36] med school and then becomes a science teacher.

[00:51:39] He's clearly he can, he like, does a lot of things

[00:51:43] and a lot of things that he does is he's,

[00:51:46] he's not very good at running.

[00:51:48] He like back flipped off the pole.

[00:51:51] And you know, whether it is during management or to lower his

[00:51:55] threat, he hasn't been really voting.

[00:51:59] The people out.

[00:52:01] So I don't,

[00:52:02] I don't know that I am watching and it feels like at some

[00:52:06] point they're going to want to get him out since he is so

[00:52:10] likable.

[00:52:11] While I really do like Hunter and his likableness,

[00:52:15] I guess I would be more leaning towards a Kenzie or Charlie.

[00:52:21] That's sort of the duo I,

[00:52:23] I've been tracking as our sitcom protagonists.

[00:52:27] Yeah.

[00:52:28] I mean, with all due respect to Hunter,

[00:52:32] he seems like a nice guy.

[00:52:34] But I mean, what is he doing that he's so likable?

[00:52:41] I mean, I guess he's good at the, at the challenges.

[00:52:44] I can see why that appeals to your mom who is,

[00:52:47] you know, quite the outdoors woman.

[00:52:52] I mean, I think he in terms of someone being like,

[00:52:56] okay, this guy's a threat we should,

[00:52:57] I don't see him ever talk to anybody else except for Tevin.

[00:53:02] He, I think he's likable in just the way he builds

[00:53:09] things and climbs trees and is good at the challenges.

[00:53:14] I think he's likable in a very traditional survivor sense

[00:53:17] that I think that if he ended up at the end with people

[00:53:21] who are not jiving with the tribe,

[00:53:26] I could see him finding a win.

[00:53:30] I just, I don't think that his strategic navigation story

[00:53:37] is being told.

[00:53:38] I don't really know what he's been in.

[00:53:40] But does he have a story to be told?

[00:53:42] I mean,

[00:53:43] I don't know.

[00:53:45] I feel like he's good at the challenges and can do that.

[00:53:51] But I just have not seen any evidence that he can

[00:53:54] knows how to play the game yet.

[00:53:57] Does he, is he a part of the shaky six?

[00:54:01] Yeah, he is.

[00:54:03] Okay, interesting.

[00:54:06] I, we have not heard enough of him speaking for me to

[00:54:11] understand if he knows what's going on or not.

[00:54:14] To be honest,

[00:54:15] I have no idea based on the storytelling what Hunter's

[00:54:18] awareness of the game is,

[00:54:20] but I can see as someone, you know,

[00:54:23] someone went home because the shelter was so uncomfortable

[00:54:26] and got medivac.

[00:54:28] So he kept his tribe alive.

[00:54:30] If you really think about it with his bed making

[00:54:33] sick skills.

[00:54:35] Yeah, a little too late for Randon.

[00:54:39] Yeah, unfortunately,

[00:54:41] but I see why he's likable.

[00:54:44] I don't know enough about his game awareness.

[00:54:47] Whereas people like...

[00:54:48] No, he seems nice for sure that he's not saying

[00:54:52] a bad word about too many people.

[00:54:54] He seems like, you know, a nice enough guy.

[00:54:57] I just,

[00:54:58] I'm not seeing that he like is good at survivor yet

[00:55:02] other than the challenges and finding idols.

[00:55:09] I, it's like if they don't show us him discussing it,

[00:55:12] I have no way of knowing his level of awareness.

[00:55:15] Maybe his votes are to keep people off his back

[00:55:18] and to lower his threat level.

[00:55:20] Maybe it's because he has no clue what's going on

[00:55:23] and he is constantly surprised by votes.

[00:55:26] There's just no way to know without hearing from him.

[00:55:30] And I don't think it's,

[00:55:32] I don't think it's fair to be like, oh, he's,

[00:55:36] he has no strategy.

[00:55:38] We're not getting confessionals.

[00:55:40] Maybe it's because they don't exist.

[00:55:42] Maybe it's because we're just not getting them.

[00:55:44] So I don't know what Hunter's deal is.

[00:55:47] He's just a cute blonde mystery, I guess.

[00:55:50] He's a mystery. Okay.

[00:55:52] He's a mystery.

[00:55:53] Whereas I feel like the winner picks that I brought up,

[00:55:56] we had heard Charlie and Kenzie.

[00:55:58] Charlie and Kenzie.

[00:55:59] We know.

[00:56:00] And again, I love Tiff as well.

[00:56:02] Like this is not,

[00:56:03] but I feel like we're getting a full story from both Kenzie

[00:56:07] and Charlie when Charlie isn't making a move.

[00:56:10] We hear a confessional about why he's playing defense.

[00:56:14] The last vote last, this not last night,

[00:56:17] but this past week's vote,

[00:56:19] it didn't seem to actually come down to Charlie and Maria.

[00:56:23] And yet we heard a confessional from Charlie saying,

[00:56:26] we're like the middle pin of this vote.

[00:56:30] So we're being told full stories of both Kenzie and Charlie.

[00:56:35] And so that's more where I would.

[00:56:56] That is wrong.

[00:56:58] Bend for your king.

[00:57:00] Never.

[00:57:01] Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.

[00:57:03] Only in theaters May 10.

[00:58:46] Hannah, we're almost an hour into this thing

[00:58:49] and we haven't even talked about Q.

[00:58:52] And he's been such a big part of the season,

[00:58:55] especially these last couple of weeks.

[00:58:57] I would love to get your reaction to Quintetius.

[00:59:04] I think Hyden Seek made it into the episode

[00:59:07] because he was so engaging as a narrator.

[00:59:11] I was trying to describe to someone

[00:59:16] how funny the Hyden Seek thing was because of his narration.

[00:59:20] And they asked me like, oh, was he being tongue,

[00:59:23] was it tongue in cheek?

[00:59:24] Was he being like funny about it?

[00:59:26] I was like, no, he was so sincere that it became funny.

[00:59:31] Yeah.

[00:59:32] I mean Q is kind of a fine, like a coach.

[00:59:37] I mean an instant classic narrator

[00:59:40] and someone who this is really a season.

[00:59:45] Everyone thinks they're the protagonist of the sitcom.

[00:59:49] And I really appreciate when everyone believes

[00:59:52] they're the protagonist and Q really has that written

[00:59:55] on his Q-skirt.

[00:59:57] He's like, I am the protagonist.

[01:00:01] I am the hero.

[01:00:03] And I love when everyone thinks they're the lead.

[01:00:06] Yeah.

[01:00:07] Okay.

[01:00:08] So many, so many different things to follow up on.

[01:00:11] Let me ask you about Hyden Seek.

[01:00:13] How would you handle Hyden Seek?

[01:00:16] My most recent time I played Hyden Seek,

[01:00:21] I hid in the shower and then I realized there was a shavings

[01:00:25] all in the shower.

[01:00:27] So I did it badly.

[01:00:29] That's not what you were asking.

[01:00:30] You were asking out there.

[01:00:31] Can you go, can I ask you some follow up questions?

[01:00:34] Yeah.

[01:00:35] Okay.

[01:00:36] So this was an adult game of Hyden Seek

[01:00:39] or you're hiding from children.

[01:00:41] There was a child.

[01:00:43] There was a child.

[01:00:44] There was a child.

[01:00:46] She wanted to play Hyden Seek.

[01:00:48] I was like, okay, let's hide in the shower.

[01:00:51] And then I looked down and it was just shavings.

[01:00:55] So somebody had shaved and they didn't run the water?

[01:01:04] That seems to be what happened.

[01:01:06] I feel embarrassed for telling this story.

[01:01:09] You were asking Hyden Seek on the aisle.

[01:01:12] Yeah, okay.

[01:01:13] All right.

[01:01:14] How would I have handled Hyden Seek?

[01:01:17] I mean, I don't know that I could get up a tree like Hunter.

[01:01:21] So somewhere comfortable, maybe I would use it to take a nap.

[01:01:27] Take a nap.

[01:01:28] There's no downtime.

[01:01:29] I find a, I think Ben hid under a big leaf.

[01:01:33] That seemed like a perfect napping spot.

[01:01:35] That's what I would do.

[01:01:36] Hannah, you played on a tribe of all young people.

[01:01:39] Were there any sort of ideas for, hey, let's do a big group activity?

[01:01:44] How about tag?

[01:01:46] We played dirty charades.

[01:01:48] Okay.

[01:01:49] We made a bonfire and we played dirty charades.

[01:01:52] It could not have made the episode as it was dirty.

[01:01:56] Interesting.

[01:01:58] So yes, we did have fun.

[01:02:01] Okay.

[01:02:02] But I don't think anyone was analyzing the dirty charades.

[01:02:06] Yeah.

[01:02:07] Yeah.

[01:02:08] I think that's what was missing.

[01:02:10] Interesting.

[01:02:11] Yeah.

[01:02:12] Do you think that Q would have been able to analyze the dirty charades and be able

[01:02:17] to intuit anything about the way the people played the game?

[01:02:22] I think Q could analyze a blank piece of paper.

[01:02:26] I think that's why Q is fantastic casting.

[01:02:29] He could analyze anything.

[01:02:30] Okay.

[01:02:31] I think he's really good casting.

[01:02:34] Okay.

[01:02:35] Figgy, she said, menage a toad.

[01:02:39] That means she's working on a three person alliance.

[01:02:42] And he would be right.

[01:02:44] You made a mistake.

[01:02:45] I fully support Q.

[01:02:54] I think that this is what I mean by like the just this colorful season of

[01:03:04] moving puzzle pieces.

[01:03:07] I think Q is a big puzzle piece in this really nutty fun season.

[01:03:16] Do you like Q?

[01:03:17] Of course.

[01:03:18] How could I not enjoy Q?

[01:03:21] How can you not like a guy that goes to tribal and like I like to

[01:03:26] imagine the little, I know on this podcast, you don't talk about it

[01:03:29] often, but the little room of producers who didn't know that he was

[01:03:33] going to blow up tribal.

[01:03:35] Yeah.

[01:03:36] And he just throws a wrench in it.

[01:03:38] And it is, I just like to imagine that little room of like the

[01:03:41] sound guy, all the like segment producers being like, excuse me

[01:03:45] now because they're pretty good at knowing what's going to happen

[01:03:48] in tribal.

[01:03:49] So you give us your read on what Q did at that tribal and because

[01:03:54] that's been the big question that we've been trying to unravel

[01:03:57] all week of what was he thinking?

[01:04:00] Was this, did he actually want to quit?

[01:04:02] Was he planning a move?

[01:04:04] Yeah.

[01:04:05] I discussed this with people because I also look at you now.

[01:04:09] You're so now you're so tapped in a week ago.

[01:04:12] You didn't know any of this a week ago.

[01:04:15] I didn't know what survivor was.

[01:04:17] And now I'm like, I'm like a recruit that gets pulled into

[01:04:21] survivor.

[01:04:22] You've lived life on 2.7 X.

[01:04:25] I watched this at 2.7 2.7 to 3.2.

[01:04:29] And then I've talked to as many, I've discussed this with the

[01:04:34] masses.

[01:04:35] Yeah.

[01:04:36] Q, I was wondering was he actually trying to quit?

[01:04:41] You know, Q has a line in the episode that says I wanted to be

[01:04:45] in control of every vote, which is fascinating because most

[01:04:49] winners are not.

[01:04:51] I mean, there are some, of course, you know, you have your

[01:04:54] Tonys, your Boston Rob's, but most winners are take their

[01:05:01] foot off the pedal a lot during different parts of the

[01:05:04] season.

[01:05:05] I think a skill of most winners is that you don't feel the

[01:05:09] need to be in charge of everything that you know when

[01:05:12] to play dumb.

[01:05:13] You know when to go, oh, I'll just do whatever so that you

[01:05:17] lower threats.

[01:05:19] And so, you know, we watch Q get upset that he is no longer able

[01:05:24] to just vote out Tiff his desired vote.

[01:05:27] And I think that he didn't like not being in control.

[01:05:33] And so this seemed to be an attempt at two things.

[01:05:37] One seemed to be an attempt to take back control to be

[01:05:40] like, well, if I can't control the vote, then I'll control

[01:05:43] me going home.

[01:05:45] Or if I can't control the vote, I'm going to mess up this

[01:05:49] new plan that is like Liz's plan and not mine.

[01:05:54] Basically, I mean, it's part like an ego thing of like

[01:05:57] I'm going to throw a fit or a wrench or like I, and if I go

[01:06:02] home while doing this, I'll say it's what I wanted.

[01:06:06] It's sort of a control thing.

[01:06:08] But the other part of it, and we see it in the preview for

[01:06:11] next episode is I think he didn't want Tiff with him on

[01:06:16] the beach when she realized what he'd done.

[01:06:19] I think that he was like, she needs to be on the jury

[01:06:22] because she's going to find out that I talked about her

[01:06:25] idol and I want her mute on the jury like unable to

[01:06:29] talk to me.

[01:06:31] And I think he thought, oh, shit.

[01:06:34] Now I'm going to have this woman who trusts me

[01:06:37] completely, who has proven herself to be strong and

[01:06:40] great and also vocal.

[01:06:45] She's going to find out what I did while we're stuck on a

[01:06:48] beach together.

[01:06:49] I think he felt bad or like got nervous about that.

[01:06:54] That's my analysis as the week long expert.

[01:07:01] Do you think I'm off?

[01:07:04] I just want to make sure I'm understanding what you said.

[01:07:07] When you said, okay, I'm with you that Q wants to be in

[01:07:09] control.

[01:07:10] But when you say he got nervous that she was going to

[01:07:13] find out about this, what was his intention then at

[01:07:17] the, to say what he said?

[01:07:19] Was he trying to get Tiffany voted out at the

[01:07:21] tribal council?

[01:07:24] Thank you for asking a clarifying question.

[01:07:26] I did do a long monologue almost at 2.7 speed to

[01:07:33] explain my thoughts on this.

[01:07:36] I think it was, maybe if Tiff had gone home, it would

[01:07:44] have been somehow a bonus to him.

[01:07:47] But I think he was genuinely upset and freaked out that

[01:07:50] he wasn't in control of the vote.

[01:07:53] I think he couldn't stand.

[01:07:56] And this is why he's such brilliant TV, right?

[01:07:59] And he's like, the flaws of every person create just

[01:08:04] catastrophe this season.

[01:08:06] And I think he couldn't stand the fact that he was not

[01:08:09] leading or in control or deciding this vote.

[01:08:12] And he thought, well, I'm either going to, I'm going

[01:08:15] to say something that's going to either make me go

[01:08:17] home and then at least I decided I went home or

[01:08:20] it's going to mess up this clean blindside someone

[01:08:24] else is trying to do.

[01:08:26] I don't necessarily think he was then trying to push it to Tiff.

[01:08:29] Yeah.

[01:08:31] I had wondered if maybe he was trying to get the votes

[01:08:35] onto him and then get Tiffany to play the idol on him as

[01:08:40] something that he had thought of to do because he tells

[01:08:44] her at the tribal council that all the votes were

[01:08:47] going to be on her, which is not the case.

[01:08:50] But I do think that you're on the right track in terms

[01:08:52] of him trying to do damage control because she's about

[01:08:55] to find out about his involvement in all of this.

[01:08:59] And so whether he was just trying to like change the narrative

[01:09:03] up or if he had like a bigger plan, I definitely think it

[01:09:07] stems from him feeling that Tiffany was going to find

[01:09:11] out about the conversations he had been having that day.

[01:09:15] I just want to understand you think he was trying to

[01:09:18] get her to play the idol on him?

[01:09:20] I think that well, if he says like, hey, I got the votes

[01:09:24] onto me, Tiffany, play your idol on me tonight.

[01:09:27] And then we'll say that I missed that somehow.

[01:09:30] He did. He did not say he did.

[01:09:32] It did not get to that point.

[01:09:33] He did not say play your idol.

[01:09:35] He did tell Tiffany she was going to be voted out at

[01:09:38] that trial at that tribal council and that she did

[01:09:41] not have the votes to send home.

[01:09:43] Tevin she definitely did.

[01:09:46] She was not going.

[01:09:47] She was not going home.

[01:09:48] But yet he told her that she was going home.

[01:09:51] I still think that that is odd to be clear to those

[01:09:56] thinking I had to watch this tribal at one point, two.

[01:09:59] It's not a two slow it down.

[01:10:01] Slow it down.

[01:10:02] But we don't know what Q was thinking.

[01:10:04] And I don't know if we ever will.

[01:10:05] I mean, Q he says a lot of what he's thinking on Twitter.

[01:10:09] He does from over the weekend.

[01:10:12] Q tweeted a little late for Club Condo.

[01:10:15] But here we go.

[01:10:16] He says, oh boy.

[01:10:18] Q tweeted 1233 p.m. tweeting live from the at best by

[01:10:24] bathroom.

[01:10:25] If you ever have to take a dump, go to best buy one of

[01:10:31] the cleanest bathrooms I've ever did number two in.

[01:10:34] Wow.

[01:10:36] Debatable.

[01:10:37] Okay.

[01:10:40] How about that?

[01:10:43] Wow.

[01:10:44] X is better than ever.

[01:10:46] X is back.

[01:10:47] Thanks to Q.

[01:10:49] Okay.

[01:10:50] He tagged best buy in this by respond.

[01:10:55] It does not look like light.

[01:10:57] So wait, he got a thousand likes.

[01:10:59] He got a million hearts from this from the

[01:11:03] Cedar Cages.

[01:11:04] You know, Bonnie was like, what do I have to do?

[01:11:07] Where do I have to go?

[01:11:08] Number two tweeting live from the best buy bathroom.

[01:11:11] If you ever have to take a dump, go to best buy one of

[01:11:14] the cleanest bathrooms I ever did number two in.

[01:11:16] Wow.

[01:11:20] Wow.

[01:11:22] I truly.

[01:11:26] Yes, hold on.

[01:11:28] Yes, I know.

[01:11:29] I know.

[01:11:30] I had some technical difficulties.

[01:11:31] Yes.

[01:11:32] Okay.

[01:11:33] We're working without Sam.

[01:11:34] We got this.

[01:11:35] We're going to get back on track.

[01:11:36] Yeah.

[01:11:38] Wow.

[01:11:39] Q tweeted from the best buy bathroom.

[01:11:41] I was more referring to the fact that we have had exit press on

[01:11:45] social media from this class, this cast after every episode.

[01:11:48] Oh sure.

[01:11:49] Yeah.

[01:11:50] They've been very, but this is super interesting.

[01:11:52] I think first off, do you think that other survivors will

[01:11:57] Q be a game changer in this way?

[01:12:00] Well, other survivors started tweeting about what stores

[01:12:04] have the best bathrooms.

[01:12:06] If it gets them a thousand likes, I have a feeling they

[01:12:09] might.

[01:12:10] Yeah.

[01:12:11] I'm trying to think.

[01:12:12] I don't know if I've ever been to the best buy bathroom.

[01:12:14] I don't think I have.

[01:12:16] I'm trying to think if there's been a bathroom that's really

[01:12:18] stuck out in my mind.

[01:12:20] I mean, do you, do you, is there a bathroom that sticks

[01:12:29] out in your mind, Rob?

[01:12:31] Well, I mean, I think about places like a Bucky's places

[01:12:34] that are sort of known for their bathrooms.

[01:12:37] I've never really thought about the restrooms at best buy.

[01:12:42] Nicole says on the BNB, Jesse said he used to work at

[01:12:45] Best Buy and this does not apply to all locations.

[01:12:50] Okay.

[01:12:51] Well, there you go.

[01:12:52] Don't save it for Best Buy, I guess.

[01:12:55] Yeah.

[01:12:56] Okay.

[01:12:57] I've never been in a Bucky's.

[01:12:58] I didn't realize.

[01:12:59] Oh yeah.

[01:13:00] Definitely treat yourself to that.

[01:13:02] But yeah.

[01:13:03] So Q says that any, any told us tweeting live from the

[01:13:06] Best Buy bathroom, he didn't even wait to say, Hey,

[01:13:09] guess what?

[01:13:10] If you have to go number two, check out Best Buy.

[01:13:14] Do you think this is, should this have been hashtag

[01:13:17] ad in the tweet?

[01:13:19] Do you think that Q is on the take?

[01:13:22] If he's not getting paid for it, it's technically

[01:13:25] not an ad.

[01:13:26] Yeah.

[01:13:27] He's just recommending pro tip life hack.

[01:13:30] Check out Best Buy.

[01:13:33] He's going to listen, you had your, your figure eight ball.

[01:13:37] Your crazy, your crazy eight ball.

[01:13:40] He's trying to get his, his magic, your head, your magic

[01:13:44] eight ball.

[01:13:45] He's trying to find his way into Hollywood.

[01:13:47] And I think Best Buy bathrooms might be his way.

[01:13:50] Best Buy bathrooms.

[01:13:51] Okay.

[01:13:52] So maybe like he could have like a meetup at a Best Buy.

[01:13:56] Like a side deal, signs pictures of himself.

[01:14:01] Yeah.

[01:14:02] I mean, do we want to know from the listeners where

[01:14:05] are the other good stores to check out?

[01:14:08] Yeah.

[01:14:09] If you have a recommendation for an especially clean

[01:14:13] bathroom, please let us know.

[01:14:15] Is it because they have the Geeks Squad?

[01:14:17] The Geeks keep the bathroom especially clean?

[01:14:21] Honestly, I don't know.

[01:14:22] I was in an Uber once and I was, I was Ubering

[01:14:25] too.

[01:14:26] I was teaching after school at different elementary

[01:14:29] schools.

[01:14:30] And I pulled up to this clearly in elementary school

[01:14:33] and my Uber driver asked me if he could come in

[01:14:36] and use the bathroom at the elementary school.

[01:14:39] And I said, no, sir, you cannot.

[01:14:41] I can't let you into this elementary school.

[01:14:44] Yeah.

[01:14:45] And I, you know, obviously Uber drivers need good

[01:14:47] places to use the bathroom.

[01:14:48] He should check out Best Buy.

[01:14:50] Check out Best Buy.

[01:14:51] Okay.

[01:14:52] Now do you think that Q had a pitch meeting at

[01:14:54] Best Buy?

[01:14:55] Because Q also said that he had some big meetings

[01:14:58] over the weekend about selling the Q skirt.

[01:15:02] And so do you think that it's possible that Best Buy

[01:15:05] is going to be the place to go to buy a Q skirt?

[01:15:13] It seems like he's, it seems like yes.

[01:15:16] And the Q skirt, are you, are you ready to buy?

[01:15:20] So I have a lot of questions for you about the Q

[01:15:23] skirt.

[01:15:24] Number one, do I need to purchase a Q skirt or

[01:15:29] can I Q skirt with what I already have?

[01:15:33] I talked to my son about this and he said, dad,

[01:15:36] are you going to get a Q skirt?

[01:15:37] I said, son, I think I have about 15 Q skirts already.

[01:15:41] Yeah.

[01:15:42] If you have a hoodie and you turn it around,

[01:15:45] you just have to tag Q in it.

[01:15:47] You have to give credit where credit is due.

[01:15:49] Yeah.

[01:15:50] And I mean, am I stealing money from Q?

[01:15:54] Son, we have Q skirts at home.

[01:15:57] Is this going to be the next big scandal?

[01:16:00] The Rob Cesternino Q skirt stolen merch on survivor Twitter.

[01:16:05] Okay.

[01:16:06] Well, here is my question for you though, Hannah.

[01:16:08] Okay.

[01:16:09] And you know, at the risk of being gender normative,

[01:16:14] is the Q skirt for men only?

[01:16:19] No.

[01:16:20] Is the Q skirt designed for women?

[01:16:22] Because I feel like that the problem that Q is looking to

[01:16:25] solve is that women traditionally have purses and all

[01:16:31] sorts of different places to put things.

[01:16:34] Whereas the Q skirt, the fundamental problem it's

[01:16:37] trying to solve is that maybe men don't have as many

[01:16:42] places to put their stuff.

[01:16:47] No, I think women always want more pockets.

[01:16:50] I think this can be a cross gendered.

[01:16:53] For the whole family.

[01:16:55] I think it's for the whole family.

[01:16:57] I think a baby would have a great little Q skirt because

[01:17:00] then if they drop.

[01:17:02] Oh yeah.

[01:17:03] No, a baby could have like a Q skirt full of Cheerios of

[01:17:06] just like just put like a like a ball of cereal into the

[01:17:10] hood and the baby would love that.

[01:17:13] Like my little nephews, this would be great for them.

[01:17:19] See, this podcast is feeling like how the season feels.

[01:17:23] There's so many random things in a 90 minute episode of

[01:17:28] Survivor to discuss more than ever before.

[01:17:31] It's fascinating having a season with so many scenes

[01:17:35] that are about Q skirts and hide and seek and all of that.

[01:17:41] Yeah.

[01:17:42] Interesting.

[01:17:44] I'm curious what further questions the listeners have about

[01:17:50] the Q skirt.

[01:17:52] Okay, let me see about the Q skirt.

[01:17:54] Okay.

[01:17:55] The next hour will be about the Q skirt.

[01:17:57] Well, we have so many questions.

[01:17:59] Okay.

[01:18:00] I saw a bunch on Twitter.

[01:18:02] Yes.

[01:18:03] Okay.

[01:18:04] How about a bunch?

[01:18:05] Yeah.

[01:18:06] Let me ask you a question.

[01:18:07] Okay.

[01:18:08] This is not I'm not taking a listener question yet.

[01:18:10] Q, we saw another moment with Q this season.

[01:18:14] Q talked to Mariah and he said, Mariah, who's your favorite

[01:18:20] player?

[01:18:21] And she said, you know what?

[01:18:23] My favorite player is Aubrey and made a mistake.

[01:18:28] Mistake because Aubrey was setting people up.

[01:18:35] Mariah had to go.

[01:18:37] All right.

[01:18:38] Yeah.

[01:18:39] I mean, I feel like there's no, there's no good answer.

[01:18:43] Is there?

[01:18:44] I feel like what if Mariah had told Q my favorite player is

[01:18:50] Hannah Shapiro.

[01:18:51] He would have said she had a panic attack.

[01:18:55] She's, she likes anxious people.

[01:18:57] I can't have that.

[01:18:58] She's got to go.

[01:18:59] There's no, there's no good answer.

[01:19:01] You know, I feel like Moe did not do anything wrong by saying

[01:19:07] Aubrey.

[01:19:08] I will start with that.

[01:19:09] But you know, maybe she should have said a player who was very

[01:19:15] different from her so that Q would not associate said player

[01:19:20] with.

[01:19:21] Who should she have said?

[01:19:22] Rachel Echo.

[01:19:23] Whoa.

[01:19:24] Okay.

[01:19:25] I think she should, she could have chosen a beautiful man like

[01:19:30] Malcolm just someone I think Moe Malcolm though made a mistake.

[01:19:35] Moe has curly hair and I believe glasses.

[01:19:40] I'm not sure if it's a good idea to say that.

[01:19:43] I'm not sure.

[01:19:44] I'm not sure.

[01:19:45] I'm not sure.

[01:19:46] I don't know.

[01:19:47] I'm not sure.

[01:19:48] I'm not sure.

[01:19:49] Moe has curly hair and I believe glasses.

[01:19:52] Yes.

[01:19:53] And so when you say Aubrey, he's going to think that she is like

[01:19:57] Aubrey.

[01:19:58] Yeah.

[01:19:59] Although I saw social media pointing out that, you know,

[01:20:02] Aubrey like me did not, did not win.

[01:20:05] So she did smell like she chose someone who, who, you know,

[01:20:09] got out everyone and one.

[01:20:11] So it is an odd thing to send someone packing.

[01:20:16] You know, the Moe thing was fascinating.

[01:20:19] Right?

[01:20:20] She sort of protected her tribe that had betrayed her just to

[01:20:24] realize she shouldn't have done that.

[01:20:26] I found that to be an interesting storyline.

[01:20:28] Yeah.

[01:20:29] She was trying to be a good soldier.

[01:20:32] Yeah.

[01:20:33] It didn't work.

[01:20:35] She did not do what Aubrey would have done.

[01:20:38] Yeah.

[01:20:39] That's why that's why it was a miss, that was a Q maybe

[01:20:44] made a mistake.

[01:20:45] Okay.

[01:20:46] All right.

[01:20:47] I think she should have chosen Rachel.

[01:20:49] Yes.

[01:20:50] Cole Metters, I see in the chat.

[01:20:51] Yes.

[01:20:52] She should have challenged her.

[01:20:53] He was a challenge threat.

[01:20:54] I'm, I think she should have just said like the person,

[01:20:58] just the prettiest man.

[01:20:59] No, I think this is what you do.

[01:21:01] Just make up a name.

[01:21:02] Just make up.

[01:21:04] Ronald.

[01:21:05] Yeah.

[01:21:06] Just Q knows 750 survivor players.

[01:21:11] But then if you say someone like you, Ronald, he'll be

[01:21:14] like, I don't know this Ronald.

[01:21:15] So I don't know what to expect from Ro.

[01:21:17] Mo.

[01:21:18] He'll be like, oh, Tanya Johnson, she was so funny.

[01:21:22] Oh yeah.

[01:21:23] I love her.

[01:21:24] She was so, oh, she was just so nice and people like her.

[01:21:28] Yes.

[01:21:29] She was so loyal to her friend.

[01:21:31] Why?

[01:21:32] You just, you know, cause Q, it's a Q was,

[01:21:36] Tanya was loyal to why to the end and then why one.

[01:21:41] And so I want to be like, that's why, yeah.

[01:21:45] Why, why one?

[01:21:46] Yeah.

[01:21:47] Why, why one?

[01:21:48] Yeah.

[01:21:49] Okay.

[01:21:50] All right.

[01:21:51] So there's Q how about from a following survivor says,

[01:21:57] what was the Q-est thing that Hannah did or saw done in her

[01:22:00] season that didn't make the edit?

[01:22:02] Was there anything that happened in your season that was

[01:22:05] so galaxy brain that, but somehow they couldn't include

[01:22:09] it in the show?

[01:22:11] Galaxy brain.

[01:22:13] Can you define that for me further?

[01:22:15] A big idea that people are not ready for.

[01:22:23] Oh man, a big idea that people are not ready.

[01:22:27] That's something that like makes your brain melt.

[01:22:32] I'm not sure we had someone as distinct as Q with these

[01:22:38] galaxy like ideas.

[01:22:40] I mean, can you think of any equivalent?

[01:22:42] I don't know.

[01:22:43] Cause I was, I mean, something, you were there.

[01:22:47] You were on my season.

[01:22:49] Were you not?

[01:22:50] I don't know.

[01:22:51] I don't know.

[01:22:52] I don't know.

[01:22:53] I know for a while.

[01:22:54] What are you talking about?

[01:22:55] So okay, we'll come in that.

[01:22:57] That's fine.

[01:22:58] And if you think of something, we can, we can get into it.

[01:23:01] We can circle back.

[01:23:02] I'm so sorry.

[01:23:03] Yeah.

[01:23:04] Sorry to the Twitter that I don't have a Q like immediate,

[01:23:08] immediate.

[01:23:09] I think, um, I mean,

[01:23:11] McKayla had a lot of big plans and big ideas before she was

[01:23:15] sent home.

[01:23:16] Yeah.

[01:23:17] She had this, you know, she had the,

[01:23:18] she had us all as rocks and was like showing us how we

[01:23:21] were going to, you know, be this like tree and we

[01:23:24] were going to get people out.

[01:23:26] Um, I just actually saw McKayla in Dallas after, uh,

[01:23:30] I did an eclipse trip.

[01:23:32] We, uh,

[01:23:33] My boyfriend and I drove incredible.

[01:23:36] We,

[01:23:37] my boyfriend and I and my dog drove to Arkansas to see

[01:23:41] totality.

[01:23:42] And I had never been to the south before.

[01:23:45] Oh,

[01:23:46] my first Southern experience and my first total eclipse

[01:23:49] experience.

[01:23:50] So what you flew to Dallas and drove to Arkansas?

[01:23:52] Is that?

[01:23:53] No, we drove from LA to Arkansas.

[01:23:55] Wow.

[01:23:56] How long of a ride is that?

[01:23:58] It was a couple days and you must have seen the entire

[01:24:02] country.

[01:24:03] It was so cool.

[01:24:05] We had,

[01:24:06] And you didn't go to Buc-e's at one point the whole time.

[01:24:09] No, we did have our barbecue in Arkansas,

[01:24:12] barbecue in Texas.

[01:24:14] And you stopped at Best Buy's along the way.

[01:24:16] Yeah.

[01:24:17] Just shitting in every best buy.

[01:24:19] Uh,

[01:24:20] it's,

[01:24:21] it's a great place to be.

[01:24:23] You can see it on Instagram threads.

[01:24:26] Yeah,

[01:24:27] that's good.

[01:24:28] We went to Oklahoma I had never been to.

[01:24:31] Okay.

[01:24:32] Are beautiful.

[01:24:33] But yeah,

[01:24:34] we saw Mikaela in Dallas and she introduced us to her

[01:24:39] favorite barbecue place.

[01:24:41] But I guess the equivalent would be all the plants.

[01:24:44] She had,

[01:24:45] she had a lot of big ideas in terms of how we were

[01:24:50] going to get there.

[01:24:51] Let's go play hide and seek.

[01:24:53] No.

[01:24:56] She, she messed up.

[01:24:58] She didn't even know to suggest it.

[01:25:00] Yeah.

[01:25:01] Big mistake.

[01:25:02] Big mistake.

[01:25:03] Um,

[01:25:04] made a mistake.

[01:25:05] What was her dirty charade?

[01:25:06] Can you reveal that?

[01:25:08] Gosh,

[01:25:09] I don't remember.

[01:25:10] It was a hundred lifetimes ago.

[01:25:12] A hundred lifetimes ago.

[01:25:13] But I'm sure I revealed a really smart person.

[01:25:16] Yeah.

[01:25:17] Okay.

[01:25:18] Let's talk about another really smart person.

[01:25:21] What have you thought about Liz this season?

[01:25:24] Have you,

[01:25:25] Liz, you know,

[01:25:26] has not dominated the airtime,

[01:25:28] but there's been a lot of talk about Liz online.

[01:25:31] What have you thought about Liz?

[01:25:33] Liz Wilcox, the one and only.

[01:25:35] The,

[01:25:36] she's done 300 podcast.

[01:25:38] Has she ever done an RHAP adjacent?

[01:25:41] Not yet.

[01:25:42] We posted her preseason interview.

[01:25:44] I mean,

[01:25:45] I mean,

[01:25:46] I'm excited to,

[01:25:47] for her to make RHAP her 301st podcast.

[01:25:50] She's,

[01:25:51] I mean, God knows how many she's done since then.

[01:25:53] She is getting a real weird story.

[01:25:56] Uh,

[01:25:57] I mean,

[01:25:58] I can't quite follow what the survivor gods are trying to tell us about Liz.

[01:26:01] I,

[01:26:02] I find her,

[01:26:03] I actually think a lot of the time she seems,

[01:26:05] you know,

[01:26:06] pretty nice and,

[01:26:07] um,

[01:26:08] and,

[01:26:09] and logical in terms of like maneuvering through stuff,

[01:26:13] but then, you know,

[01:26:14] we'll see this montage of her talking about her millions of dollars and her podcast.

[01:26:20] So I honestly don't,

[01:26:22] from the story itself,

[01:26:24] don't have a great grasp on Liz.

[01:26:27] Um,

[01:26:28] do you,

[01:26:29] I mean,

[01:26:30] as there is,

[01:26:31] what is the,

[01:26:32] is the,

[01:26:33] what's the,

[01:26:34] the fever pitch on Liz in the,

[01:26:35] uh,

[01:26:36] in the world?

[01:26:37] Yeah.

[01:26:38] Well,

[01:26:39] would love to talk about that a little bit.

[01:26:40] She's having a lot of fun,

[01:26:41] I think with it.

[01:26:42] And you know,

[01:26:43] I just,

[01:26:44] I don't know necessarily like where she's come in and talked about her,

[01:26:47] uh,

[01:26:48] massive fortune that she has.

[01:26:51] I don't know how much of this is strategy.

[01:26:54] I don't know how much of it is,

[01:26:55] is gameplay.

[01:26:56] And I don't know if she is like,

[01:26:58] uh,

[01:26:59] putting us on to any degree in terms of like embracing the,

[01:27:04] the bid.

[01:27:05] I feel like that a lot of people try to downplay.

[01:27:07] Oh no, no, no, like,

[01:27:09] I don't really,

[01:27:10] uh,

[01:27:11] I'm just like, you know,

[01:27:12] I'm just joking around,

[01:27:14] but she seems to be really steering into this like Scrooge McDuck type character.

[01:27:20] I want to say it's strategy.

[01:27:24] I think that,

[01:27:26] um,

[01:27:27] telling people how wealthy you are,

[01:27:29] maybe it's strategy.

[01:27:32] I'm going to go with,

[01:27:33] I'm going to put my penny on strategy.

[01:27:35] Okay.

[01:27:36] But I don't,

[01:27:37] I,

[01:27:38] she's had such an odd sort of showing.

[01:27:42] I don't really know if she,

[01:27:46] I don't know.

[01:27:47] Does she lose at the end?

[01:27:49] Is she, um,

[01:27:51] does she,

[01:27:52] you know,

[01:27:53] go out in a ball of flames?

[01:27:54] Like I honestly can't tell you,

[01:27:56] I don't have a great read on this.

[01:27:58] Do you think,

[01:27:59] and I have watched the whole season.

[01:28:00] Yeah.

[01:28:01] If you would have told more people in millennials versus Gen X

[01:28:04] that your net worth was very high.

[01:28:08] Do you think that could have helped you?

[01:28:10] Maybe.

[01:28:11] Uh,

[01:28:13] I don't think that was my issue.

[01:28:15] Maybe at the final trial council,

[01:28:17] you could have come clean and said,

[01:28:18] uh,

[01:28:19] everyone I have to tell you something like I am actually already a millionaire.

[01:28:24] Yeah.

[01:28:25] And I'm going to donate all the money to homeless penguins.

[01:28:31] I really think even Gabler didn't do that.

[01:28:33] Uh, yeah.

[01:28:34] I don't think it's a good final tribal strategy here.

[01:28:38] I think it's if it's a strategy,

[01:28:40] it's to get to the final tribal.

[01:28:42] Right.

[01:28:43] So just to clarify that for any future players listening.

[01:28:46] Yeah.

[01:28:47] Um,

[01:28:48] do you think she'll come back around and say I was joking?

[01:28:50] I'm not actually a multimillionaire.

[01:28:53] I think that if she makes it to the end,

[01:28:55] she might say that she was exaggerating.

[01:28:57] Do you not think that?

[01:28:59] Yeah, I don't know.

[01:29:00] I mean,

[01:29:02] I don't get the sense that she's going to walk it back because

[01:29:05] her social media personality has also been to,

[01:29:09] uh, to continue to steer into this.

[01:29:12] Um,

[01:29:13] that somebody who tweeted out the other day,

[01:29:17] uh,

[01:29:18] asked Liz Wilcox for money.

[01:29:20] A lot of people are asking Liz Wilcox for money on Twitter.

[01:29:23] Uh,

[01:29:24] this person,

[01:29:25] uh,

[01:29:26] uh,

[01:29:27] Jess's mother said,

[01:29:28] can you then mow me $8 so I can get to the final trial council?

[01:29:30] I'm afraid $8 so I can get Wendy's and Liz Wilcox says now,

[01:29:34] if you can't get Wendy's on your own,

[01:29:36] I'm afraid $8 won't help you babe.

[01:29:39] Wow.

[01:29:41] Should I ask Liz Wilcox for,

[01:29:45] she doesn't seem to be giving it.

[01:29:47] Lots of people like are asking her for money.

[01:29:49] She's not giving it.

[01:29:50] Yeah.

[01:29:51] She's not giving out the,

[01:29:52] the Cia prize instead of the Cia prize.

[01:29:55] It becomes the Liz Wilcox prize.

[01:29:57] Mm hmm.

[01:29:58] Yeah.

[01:29:59] I feel like she could become the new Cia.

[01:30:00] I mean,

[01:30:01] at some point Cia's got a retire from just handing out thousands of

[01:30:04] dollars, right?

[01:30:05] You would think so.

[01:30:07] I guess not.

[01:30:09] And that's why we need to tap the red.

[01:30:10] Once Cia captures all of the survivors she likes,

[01:30:14] I don't know,

[01:30:15] maybe she may not even need to watch the show anymore.

[01:30:17] And then Liz can start handing out money.

[01:30:20] Now,

[01:30:21] can I just add one thing?

[01:30:23] So, uh,

[01:30:24] I've been to many Wendy's.

[01:30:27] I don't know if you stopped at any on your trip across the,

[01:30:32] uh,

[01:30:33] you know,

[01:30:34] South of America,

[01:30:35] but not South America.

[01:30:37] Um,

[01:30:38] I would say I would not give them a high rating on the best buy

[01:30:43] score.

[01:30:44] Hmm.

[01:30:46] I have not been to many Wendy's.

[01:30:49] I've more been more of a McDonald's girl on my road trips.

[01:30:53] Uh, McDonald's perfectly fine.

[01:30:55] Fine.

[01:30:56] Okay.

[01:30:57] I don't know if it's, yeah, not,

[01:30:59] not sure it's as high as best buy,

[01:31:01] but doesn't sound like it's as low as Wendy's.

[01:31:03] My only issue with McDonald's is though the dollar menu is now

[01:31:07] the one, two, three, four menu.

[01:31:09] One, two, three, four?

[01:31:11] It's like the one, two, three or one, two,

[01:31:13] someone can correct me.

[01:31:15] Some things are $1,

[01:31:16] but some things are $2 and some things are $3.

[01:31:19] Four dollars.

[01:31:20] It's not the,

[01:31:21] it's not the dollar menu anymore.

[01:31:22] Yeah.

[01:31:23] It's gotten too expensive.

[01:31:24] They got too expensive.

[01:31:25] And, and so only Liz Wilcox can eat off the dollar menu now.

[01:31:29] Exactly.

[01:31:30] Is there anything that's on the dollar menu?

[01:31:34] There, I don't know that there is anything that is exactly a

[01:31:38] dollar anymore on the menu.

[01:31:40] Someone please fact check me.

[01:31:42] Maybe there's one thing, but on the McDonald's,

[01:31:44] I think it's called the one, two, three menu now.

[01:31:46] Now is this sponsored content?

[01:31:48] Are you sponsored by McDonald's?

[01:31:50] I don't think McDonald's would want me to complain about

[01:31:52] their prices.

[01:31:53] I don't think this would be good sponsor.

[01:31:55] See the one, two, three menu.

[01:31:57] Yeah.

[01:31:58] Okay.

[01:31:59] One, two, three dollar menu.

[01:32:01] This is my issue.

[01:32:03] What is it?

[01:32:04] McDouble?

[01:32:05] Let's see how much it is.

[01:32:07] I don't know.

[01:32:08] It's how many calories.

[01:32:11] Be nice if it was one, two or three calories.

[01:32:14] That'd be pretty good.

[01:32:15] I will say the spicy chicken,

[01:32:16] that spicy chicken sandwich on the dollar menu.

[01:32:19] It's just the McChicken.

[01:32:20] It's, that's where it's at,

[01:32:21] but it's not a dollar.

[01:32:23] Yeah.

[01:32:24] Okay.

[01:32:25] So here are things that you could see on the one,

[01:32:27] two, three dollar menu,

[01:32:28] but we don't know which one is which.

[01:32:30] Yeah.

[01:32:31] Okay.

[01:32:32] And you may need to head right to Best Buy.

[01:32:36] That's true.

[01:32:39] I have a question for you.

[01:32:41] Yes.

[01:32:42] Since you break up Liz.

[01:32:43] Can we make up a game of like,

[01:32:44] give me all the things on the menu.

[01:32:46] And I have to tell you if they're one,

[01:32:47] two or three dollars.

[01:32:49] Let's do it.

[01:32:50] We don't have the answers.

[01:32:51] We don't have the answers.

[01:32:52] I'm sorry.

[01:32:53] When losing,

[01:32:54] when sausage burrito definitely not a dollar.

[01:32:58] I'd say three.

[01:32:59] We don't have the answers.

[01:33:01] We don't know the answers.

[01:33:03] Okay.

[01:33:04] Maybe somebody who works at McDonald's can tell us.

[01:33:06] Okay.

[01:33:07] Go ahead.

[01:33:08] Now I think she feels like she's going to join the

[01:33:10] potential like losing finalist club,

[01:33:12] which you know me and Owen are,

[01:33:14] you know, happy to wrap our arms around everyone who joins

[01:33:18] this club.

[01:33:19] But what is,

[01:33:20] what do you think is the deal with Venus?

[01:33:22] Because her reaction out there with her castmates sound,

[01:33:27] seems so different than her reaction with the fans.

[01:33:30] And I'm trying to get a sense of what is going on.

[01:33:33] Well, to the fans, she's mother.

[01:33:37] Queen.

[01:33:38] To the people on the island,

[01:33:40] not mother is that part of being mother that do you,

[01:33:44] to be mother to the, to the fans.

[01:33:48] Do you have to be not mother to the other players?

[01:33:52] I don't think so.

[01:33:53] Can you be both?

[01:33:54] Wasn't D mother to both the fans and out there?

[01:33:58] Like, isn't D an example of like sort of a strong,

[01:34:02] Julie was more the mama.

[01:34:04] Yeah.

[01:34:05] But mother is different than mom.

[01:34:07] Yeah.

[01:34:08] From my understanding.

[01:34:10] Yeah.

[01:34:11] That's interesting.

[01:34:13] I guess you can be, you can be mother to all.

[01:34:17] Like poverty is mother and also,

[01:34:19] but she wasn't,

[01:34:20] but that wasn't invented yet when she was,

[01:34:22] when she was a mothering.

[01:34:25] But now she's a trader and she's mother on the, that show.

[01:34:28] Now she's a mother, a mother.

[01:34:30] We sound 85 Rob.

[01:34:32] We're doing that thing.

[01:34:34] No, no, we sound very hip.

[01:34:38] You sound very boy.

[01:34:40] I watched the tick tock that gave me some gen alpha

[01:34:45] definitions and I was watching it.

[01:34:48] And my son came in the room and he was like,

[01:34:51] dad, are you looking things up in the dictionary?

[01:34:55] I'm like, nope.

[01:34:56] It was just a, just in my tick tock.

[01:34:59] I didn't look for this.

[01:35:00] It found me.

[01:35:01] I didn't look for it.

[01:35:03] Jen Alpha calls tick tock the dictionary.

[01:35:06] Oh, do they really?

[01:35:08] The dictionary was a bad joke.

[01:35:11] I want to,

[01:35:14] I just curious if you have any thoughts about mother Venus.

[01:35:18] Oh, I have plenty of thoughts about mother Venus.

[01:35:20] What do you want to know that why don't people like her on the show?

[01:35:24] What the schism is between what we're seeing and what's happening.

[01:35:28] Do you think that they can tell she's mother and like,

[01:35:31] I don't like this.

[01:35:32] This is like a, this is where we're losing clout right now.

[01:35:36] She's draining all the clout from the season.

[01:35:39] My feeling is that like everyone is flawed and sometimes

[01:35:43] your flaws combine with group think and that if her flaws are

[01:35:47] sort of like how she approaches people,

[01:35:49] like the tone of that.

[01:35:51] It's sort of combining with group think to create this thing.

[01:35:55] I'm just curious because it seems like there's this big gap

[01:35:59] of how it's, she's being received out there versus at home.

[01:36:03] Also, do you agree with my Charlie Kenzie?

[01:36:06] Do you think someone can win outside that pair?

[01:36:09] Yes, I do that.

[01:36:10] I think that there are a couple other viable winners.

[01:36:14] Can you tell me?

[01:36:15] I'm so curious.

[01:36:16] I think Tiff is one,

[01:36:17] but I just get the sense that Kenzie has narrated that duo.

[01:36:21] I do think Tiffany is still a potential winner.

[01:36:27] I feel like that those are probably the top three.

[01:36:30] I think Liz also, I think is in my,

[01:36:33] yeah, I think she's still in my contenders.

[01:36:36] I'm sorry.

[01:36:37] You think Liz wins and this is the story.

[01:36:39] No, no, that's not what you asked me.

[01:36:41] That you asked me who can win and who can't

[01:36:45] and I have not seen anything that rules Liz out yet.

[01:36:49] Except her entire story.

[01:36:51] No.

[01:36:52] And how the survivor gods are choosing to tell it.

[01:36:53] I don't think that she's ruled out.

[01:36:55] She just made a big move this week.

[01:36:56] Really?

[01:36:57] I think that Liz is,

[01:36:58] I think that if Erica can be the winner of a season,

[01:37:01] then Liz can be the winner of the season.

[01:37:06] But Erica never had a montage of like bonkers things.

[01:37:11] Yeah, but I don't think it was,

[01:37:12] it was Tevin who was like,

[01:37:14] I think that Liz has made a mistake,

[01:37:16] but it's not necessarily like that people,

[01:37:18] that we saw everybody saying,

[01:37:21] and also I think Randyn thought she was a little odd.

[01:37:24] But other than that,

[01:37:25] I don't think that she's been like universally panned

[01:37:27] from the other survivors.

[01:37:28] I mean, listen, I liked Tiff and I like Maria,

[01:37:31] but I just,

[01:37:33] it's hard when I feel like so much of the sitcom protagonist

[01:37:37] has been either Charlie or Kenzie,

[01:37:39] who I both really,

[01:37:40] I really like,

[01:37:42] Kenzie is just lovely.

[01:37:45] And I would trust Kenzie to cut my hair.

[01:37:48] And that's a huge vote of confidence.

[01:37:50] But let's stick with Venus for a minute.

[01:37:52] I want to talk more about Venus.

[01:37:54] Okay.

[01:37:55] Let's talk about Venus.

[01:37:56] What's been your reaction to her?

[01:37:57] Now did you know of Venus's popularity online

[01:38:01] before you started watching?

[01:38:03] Yes.

[01:38:04] Like I said,

[01:38:05] some of the stuff that's like punched through the bubble,

[01:38:06] I don't need,

[01:38:07] for those listening,

[01:38:08] I made a punch through the bubble motion.

[01:38:10] Yeah.

[01:38:12] I saw a lot of chatter online,

[01:38:15] a lot of both budding heads

[01:38:19] and fan support towards Venus.

[01:38:22] And I was just kind of fascinated by this

[01:38:26] seemingly controversial character.

[01:38:30] And then I was watching the show and, you know,

[01:38:33] I felt for her when the person who sort of brought her in

[01:38:37] and gave her some empathy then got medivact

[01:38:40] for his numb hand.

[01:38:41] Randon.

[01:38:43] And then again,

[01:38:44] when I think,

[01:38:46] gosh, I don't remember exactly who it was.

[01:38:48] Maybe most someone seemed to again,

[01:38:50] anyone who kind of reaches out to Venus with empathy,

[01:38:54] kind of bad luck befalls them.

[01:38:58] She seems to sort of unfortunately,

[01:39:01] and so now she's left with this group of people

[01:39:03] that are really,

[01:39:05] don't seem to jive with her.

[01:39:07] Yes.

[01:39:08] You know, she was openly called,

[01:39:10] I thought it was really interesting that they openly referred to her as a goat.

[01:39:13] You know my feelings on the word.

[01:39:15] We don't have to go over this forever,

[01:39:17] but I think so much of it is like perception and group thing.

[01:39:20] Greatest of all time?

[01:39:21] Greatest of all time.

[01:39:23] And I think for those watching just to be clear,

[01:39:26] those watching the show, they're like, Oh, well, that means something.

[01:39:29] You know,

[01:39:30] the winner of my season was called a goat when I was out there by a couple.

[01:39:34] Like it's just people throw this word out and shit changes.

[01:39:40] But could somebody,

[01:39:41] could somebody flip it around and say, Hey,

[01:39:44] you all said I was a goat and you're right.

[01:39:47] I am the greatest of all time.

[01:39:49] And then just drop the mic.

[01:39:52] I think it takes a little bit more of the currents changing before that.

[01:39:56] But you know what?

[01:39:57] I'd love to see it.

[01:39:58] Yeah.

[01:39:59] You know, Venus,

[01:40:00] Venus said I can't wait to get to the end and just throw it in all their

[01:40:03] faces that they never believed in me.

[01:40:05] And I just unfortunately perception becomes reality.

[01:40:10] And anyone who perceived her differently seems to be gone now.

[01:40:15] Yeah.

[01:40:16] Look that.

[01:40:19] From Venus's perspective, she took out soda.

[01:40:23] And then I think she's probably also going to feel like, Hey,

[01:40:26] I played a big role in, I've been saying, get rid of Tevin.

[01:40:28] Tevin's gone.

[01:40:29] And so maybe she had like, okay, people were thinking, okay,

[01:40:33] Venus was maybe not that impactful, but if she's like,

[01:40:37] you know, pounding her chest like, Hey, look at me.

[01:40:41] I got two in a row.

[01:40:42] Who else wants a piece of this perception?

[01:40:45] Who else wants a piece of this?

[01:40:47] Perception is reality.

[01:40:49] And unfortunately, you know,

[01:40:51] but her perception is that she's killing it.

[01:40:54] But the jury perception is what matters.

[01:40:57] Yeah.

[01:40:58] That's a rough start to Ponderosa for Venus.

[01:41:01] Oh, cause yeah, because Tevin's going to go to soda and be like,

[01:41:05] Hey, this is I was the one who, you know, whatever.

[01:41:09] Yeah.

[01:41:10] It's interesting because I think of this perception thing and

[01:41:13] I think of this, this goat thing a lot.

[01:41:15] Obviously it's something that's thrown at losing finalists quite a bit.

[01:41:18] But again, like there was someone my season who said,

[01:41:21] who called the winner at one point and said, Oh,

[01:41:24] he's the biggest goat out here.

[01:41:26] And that, and that shifted and good on him and takes a lot of

[01:41:30] skill to like shift that tide.

[01:41:32] But unfortunately with Venus,

[01:41:34] it just feels like everyone,

[01:41:37] it just, it just feels like everyone's against her.

[01:41:41] And I think that feeling probably doesn't help.

[01:41:46] She was probably internalizing that as well.

[01:41:49] What are you squinting?

[01:41:50] Do you disagree with or are you looking at?

[01:41:53] I think Venus is interesting.

[01:41:56] I just think that she's clearly perceptive in a lot of ways,

[01:42:02] but also struggling to jive with the group.

[01:42:07] I do think it's interesting watching the season all at once,

[01:42:10] how these quote unquote bad players like the early boots,

[01:42:14] like a lot of them spoke truths.

[01:42:17] But it's a Cassandra thing where no one believed them because

[01:42:21] of everything else surrounding them.

[01:42:23] Like both, both Bonnu and Jeff said that Kenzie was a huge

[01:42:29] threat.

[01:42:30] Just mermaid dragon.

[01:42:33] Right.

[01:42:34] That was Bonnu.

[01:42:35] And Jeff said she's going to float her way to the final three

[01:42:38] and charm her way there.

[01:42:40] And Kenzie seems to be able to,

[01:42:42] she seems like she's lowering her threat levels and she was

[01:42:45] just called a strategic mastermind.

[01:42:47] But I think that Jess and Bonnu weren't wrong.

[01:42:51] Like they spoke some truths.

[01:42:53] And I think Venus is a similar thing where she speaks truth,

[01:42:56] but sort of isn't being listened to.

[01:42:59] Well, I think that for Kenzie,

[01:43:02] I think that what has really helped her is that she's had this

[01:43:05] massive Q shield of like, who's thinking about Kenzie when Q

[01:43:10] from her tribe has really come in and been such a big force.

[01:43:14] And while Q did seem like he wanted to target Kenzie early on,

[01:43:18] he has seemed to have moved off that.

[01:43:20] And then secondly, people look at Tiffany as Q's number two.

[01:43:24] And so that she almost has two layers of shields where

[01:43:27] people aren't really looking at Kenzie.

[01:43:30] And I think she's also able to kind of be like good cop where

[01:43:34] that, oh, you know, Q is the boss.

[01:43:37] But like, okay, let me be able to talk to Kenzie.

[01:43:40] So I think that's been a really nice spot for her and the

[01:43:43] way that she plays the game as far as like what can Venus

[01:43:47] do differently?

[01:43:48] I don't know.

[01:43:50] I just think that the way that Venus is playing right now,

[01:43:54] I'm sure there's a lot of different factors here is

[01:43:57] that from the perspective of the other players,

[01:44:01] she is at the bottom of things and that I think she is,

[01:44:07] she plays the game like she's somebody who is at the top.

[01:44:12] And I think it might be interesting in another season

[01:44:15] where maybe Venus had her own alliance of like people that

[01:44:19] were with her that maybe like her play style would be more

[01:44:22] effective.

[01:44:24] But based off of how this season is going,

[01:44:26] that Venus does not have the, does not play the game that

[01:44:31] people traditionally play when they are at the bottom.

[01:44:34] That was a lot of good insight.

[01:44:38] I think that, and I think I've said this on one of the

[01:44:40] other 12 podcasts I've done, but I think that what makes

[01:44:45] a winner more likely to win, what makes someone more

[01:44:49] likely to win is when the perception of themselves is as

[01:44:53] close as possible to how they're being perceived by others.

[01:44:56] And the larger that gap, the more likely your ego's going

[01:45:00] to get big and you're going to get voted out or you're

[01:45:03] going to miscalculate and lose at the end.

[01:45:05] Hey, oh.

[01:45:06] And I think the closer you can be to like this is how

[01:45:10] I think people are viewing me versus and to like,

[01:45:15] and this is how I'm being viewed like, you know,

[01:45:17] Kenzie got named as sort of like this strategic mastermind

[01:45:21] by Bonu.

[01:45:22] She knows that, she knows that's a perception and she's

[01:45:25] managed to quiet herself down and like you said,

[01:45:29] hide behind two great shields, Tiff now publicly

[01:45:32] as an idol.

[01:45:33] That means people are going to want potentially Tiff out.

[01:45:36] That's why what Q did is so hard for Tiff and I really

[01:45:39] feel for her.

[01:45:40] And you know, I think that the gap of how Venus is

[01:45:47] perceiving herself versus how Venus is being perceived

[01:45:50] by others is big, you know, at least from my experience.

[01:45:55] And we all probably speak to like our experience out there,

[01:45:58] but when you can be humble enough to be like,

[01:46:00] okay, I can't be these people, but I actually understand

[01:46:04] who I can be and how I can navigate.

[01:46:07] You have a better chance.

[01:46:09] Yeah, I think on this season, Venus is, listen,

[01:46:14] if Venus gets the win, I'm sure we'll celebrate and so will

[01:46:17] the crowd.

[01:46:18] But I think that it's going to be, I think her fate is written

[01:46:22] at Final Tribal already.

[01:46:24] Yeah.

[01:46:25] And I think she's going to get there.

[01:46:26] Do you think that there's something about the new era

[01:46:29] that makes it like a little bit more predictable how

[01:46:32] this could potentially be going?

[01:46:34] Why would you say that?

[01:46:36] Because I kind of feel like that she seems like she's

[01:46:38] on this trajectory and that we almost can see like very

[01:46:42] easily about how she gets to the point where now, okay,

[01:46:45] she's not a threat.

[01:46:46] Who's coming for her?

[01:46:48] The game has shifted where it almost seems like I think that

[01:46:52] there's probably a much better chance that she's sitting in

[01:46:56] the Final Three than that she's going to be voted out the

[01:46:58] next couple of weeks.

[01:47:00] I don't know if it's new.

[01:47:02] I guess in an old era season, she would have some off

[01:47:06] days to potentially, I think Venus could use some off

[01:47:09] days.

[01:47:10] I think she's one of the people that could use a couple off

[01:47:13] days to sort of take a breath and try to connect with people

[01:47:16] socially.

[01:47:18] Yeah, maybe it is the speed.

[01:47:21] I just feel like, you know, she's constantly in the

[01:47:23] backup vote.

[01:47:25] So was Jake last season.

[01:47:28] But I don't think anyone, it's interesting.

[01:47:32] Q's whole beginning of his thing with Tiff was that

[01:47:36] Tiff didn't, she was like, why are we trying to get

[01:47:38] Venus out?

[01:47:39] Like she is not a threat out here.

[01:47:42] And that started everything, but I think more people are

[01:47:46] going to start thinking like Tiff where it's like you have

[01:47:50] Hunter backflipping off of a challenge, which I get from

[01:47:54] the viewer perspective.

[01:47:56] Why is he a threat?

[01:47:58] But I am talking about out there.

[01:48:00] You see this tall, good-looking challenge.

[01:48:02] Everybody thinks he's a threat.

[01:48:04] Nobody's saying why it's Hunter a threat.

[01:48:06] You have him.

[01:48:08] I think probably Maria is seen as pretty threatening too.

[01:48:14] She seems like very focused and game oriented.

[01:48:17] And I just think you're going to start seeing people try to

[01:48:23] pull Venus in more than, she's passed the point of voting

[01:48:28] her out.

[01:48:29] Can Venus be pulled in though?

[01:48:31] I think it's going to be the question.

[01:48:33] I'm not ready for Venus to go along with these votes, but I

[01:48:36] feel like that Venus to what we've seen so far.

[01:48:38] I don't think Venus wants to be pulled in.

[01:48:40] Venus wants to direct the votes.

[01:48:43] And I think that that could be the one thing that ends up

[01:48:46] getting her voted out of the game where if she ends up,

[01:48:48] like we saw her at the merge where they said, all right,

[01:48:51] Venus, the plan is going to be Mariah.

[01:48:54] It's not you.

[01:48:55] Okay.

[01:48:56] So just write down Mariah and she basically said, that

[01:48:59] plan sucks.

[01:49:00] I want to vote out Charlie.

[01:49:02] And then they almost like turned it back around.

[01:49:04] So I don't know if she's going to be like traditionally like the

[01:49:07] person that we see at the bottom who's going to be able to

[01:49:09] like, hey, write down this person's name.

[01:49:11] Like, okay, good.

[01:49:12] Got it.

[01:49:13] And they were going to worry about her.

[01:49:14] She might want to like keep doing her own thing.

[01:49:16] I think when I say pull in Venus, I don't mean pull her

[01:49:19] in and tell her to vote.

[01:49:21] I mean, make Venus feel like she's coming up with

[01:49:24] the plans.

[01:49:25] There are sometimes when you work with someone, you have to

[01:49:28] make them feel like it's their idea, you know, like,

[01:49:31] but I think people are, I think Venus is a shiny enough ally

[01:49:36] member.

[01:49:37] There's no alliances anyways.

[01:49:39] Yeah.

[01:49:40] I think I just don't see the majority of them getting together

[01:49:45] and actually voting Venus off.

[01:49:48] Watch this happen next episode.

[01:49:50] That's why it's been fun.

[01:49:52] That's why, but I, I just,

[01:49:57] I, I, you know, I do think, I do think Venus doesn't seem

[01:50:03] like she wants to work with people's plans.

[01:50:06] But I just, you know, in this, in this era of shot in the dark,

[01:50:11] I just see her as a constant backup, you know, she's perfect

[01:50:15] because, you know, having a backup when you don't have a

[01:50:19] backup, but you have shot in the dark, you have to throw out

[01:50:22] a name as a backup and that has the potential to piss off

[01:50:25] whoever's name is the backup.

[01:50:27] And in this case, just like with Jake, we saw the same thing.

[01:50:30] Jake was always the backup.

[01:50:32] So there was no backup person getting pissed off.

[01:50:35] Venus seems to be, Venus seems to be the backup.

[01:50:40] But you know what?

[01:50:41] I think she'd be a very entertaining jury member as well.

[01:50:44] She can do it all.

[01:50:45] She's a star.

[01:50:48] A star.

[01:50:49] Okay.

[01:50:50] All right.

[01:50:51] Hannah, you mentioned, I want to talk about what Sophie said

[01:50:54] on Twitter about the rice negotiation.

[01:50:58] Okay.

[01:50:59] Here you go.

[01:51:00] This week we saw it again.

[01:51:03] Sophie says, survivor idea for the rice bribe, instead of

[01:51:07] basically bribing the weak to sit out and show their

[01:51:10] weakness, bribe the challenge threats to prove their

[01:51:13] strength in heroism, rice, but only if three people take

[01:51:17] XYZ penalty in the challenge, EG start five minutes

[01:51:21] earlier on the pole.

[01:51:23] Okay.

[01:51:24] So what do you think of what Sophie is suggesting of instead

[01:51:26] of like, Hey, all of you that can't even win, why won't

[01:51:30] you just sit out losers?

[01:51:32] Like, could you potentially say to the hunters, the cues

[01:51:37] like, Hey, like, like give the rest of us a chance.

[01:51:41] If you all feel so safe, give us a chance to win the

[01:51:44] immunity.

[01:51:45] You all sit out.

[01:51:47] Would that work?

[01:51:49] I mean, I think that's way more fun.

[01:51:51] I'm more fun, but I don't think those guys are ever going

[01:51:53] to say yes.

[01:51:54] I mean, didn't cue cue did, but he's, I guess, but if, if

[01:51:59] Hunter says he will sit out this cue want to play then

[01:52:05] Hunter says, I just, this was challenging because, you

[01:52:10] know, Venus said, I think I can do this and she, you

[01:52:13] know, little and she came in third.

[01:52:15] She did great.

[01:52:17] Um, I, I see.

[01:52:20] See, I do think that this was interesting.

[01:52:22] This challenge where I feel like that if you're somebody who

[01:52:24] is sort of like, uh, you know, more slight in stature,

[01:52:27] you're not a challenge beast.

[01:52:29] This is an endurance challenge.

[01:52:30] I mean traditionally, um, you know, these are the types

[01:52:33] of challenges you wear.

[01:52:34] Yeah.

[01:52:35] Ozzie and Tyson have won, but also like, I'm pretty sure

[01:52:39] Candice is, I don't think poverty.

[01:52:41] I don't know if poverty ever won this poverty.

[01:52:43] One, maybe she did.

[01:52:44] I'm sorry.

[01:52:45] She did.

[01:52:46] She did.

[01:52:47] I'm going to confuse.

[01:52:49] Uh, so women, women have won this challenge, uh, where,

[01:52:53] and not necessarily it's like, it's not like a strength thing.

[01:52:57] So if you're Venus, you're like, Hey, this might be my

[01:52:59] only chance to win an immunity this season.

[01:53:01] I don't want to sit out of this.

[01:53:02] Well, we didn't get like the tribe rice thing, but

[01:53:05] we did have like, he would try to bribe us with food.

[01:53:08] And, um, I was always afraid that the storyline was

[01:53:12] going to be, I chose to sit out for like a sandwich

[01:53:15] and then I got voted out.

[01:53:17] Um, and I think that's in everybody's mind.

[01:53:19] I think everybody is thinking, what if I volunteer to sit

[01:53:23] out and then my story is I go home and I could have tried.

[01:53:27] Um, I don't really think it's fair to like berate people

[01:53:32] who then fall out early.

[01:53:35] Um, although now what happens?

[01:53:37] They don't have rice.

[01:53:38] Do you think they're going to give them the rice somehow?

[01:53:41] Like, uh, that I don't know what they're going to do.

[01:53:43] What are they going to do this week?

[01:53:44] Give me the creative solution.

[01:53:45] How do they get them the rice anyway?

[01:53:48] Whoever wins hide and seek has to go on a journey.

[01:53:52] And on that journey, you win maybe there's a journey actually,

[01:53:56] maybe they'll do a journey thing where you have the

[01:53:59] opportunity on the journey to win rice for the tribe

[01:54:01] or a prize for yourself and they'll send someone who will

[01:54:04] choose the rice.

[01:54:08] How about this?

[01:54:09] How about this?

[01:54:10] My favorite journey.

[01:54:11] Oh, okay.

[01:54:13] Um, my favorite.

[01:54:14] Oh, good.

[01:54:15] What's your favorite journey?

[01:54:16] I'm just gonna say my favorite journey was the one where

[01:54:18] you had to figure out who was lying.

[01:54:21] I like that one a lot.

[01:54:22] Yes.

[01:54:23] It felt like a werewolf game.

[01:54:24] Yeah.

[01:54:25] Would you have been able to do that?

[01:54:26] Would you have been able to tell that Jalinsky was lying?

[01:54:28] Yes.

[01:54:29] When he said he was lying, I would have known he was lying.

[01:54:34] But sorry, I interrupted your, your right.

[01:54:36] Yeah.

[01:54:37] Okay.

[01:54:38] How about this?

[01:54:39] All right.

[01:54:40] So, we're gonna, like last season, talk about like, okay,

[01:54:42] we have like some, some individual jars of rice.

[01:54:45] Like could we have some kind of a challenge where there's

[01:54:48] something like a, and I'm just going to throw out like,

[01:54:51] okay, do you remember the log carrying challenge from

[01:54:55] survivor winners at war that they did on that Ethan

[01:55:00] almost died again?

[01:55:03] Yeah.

[01:55:04] Where they had to run around and carry it.

[01:55:06] Yeah.

[01:55:07] Okay.

[01:55:08] So, we're gonna have a challenge today.

[01:55:09] Okay.

[01:55:10] Any person that completes it, they get a jar of rice.

[01:55:14] They can share it, keep it for the tribe, do whatever you

[01:55:16] want with it.

[01:55:17] Okay.

[01:55:18] And then we're going to get like a couple people are going

[01:55:20] to come back with the rice.

[01:55:21] Are they going to get, are they going to give other

[01:55:23] people some of their rice?

[01:55:24] Are they going to hoard their rice?

[01:55:26] Isn't that interesting?

[01:55:27] Yeah.

[01:55:28] I just feel for Liz.

[01:55:29] Liz has not eaten at all.

[01:55:30] She can't eat anything.

[01:55:31] She can't eat anything.

[01:55:32] She can't eat anything.

[01:55:33] She can't eat anything.

[01:55:34] She can't eat anything.

[01:55:35] She can't eat anything.

[01:55:36] She can't eat anything at all.

[01:55:37] She can't eat anything.

[01:55:38] She did eat at the, she had some gluten free sandwiches

[01:55:42] last time.

[01:55:43] She had one meal.

[01:55:44] I just really, they're surviving on coconuts and

[01:55:47] she can't eat shit.

[01:55:48] I just, Liz, poor Liz, I just really feel for her.

[01:55:54] I hope everyone would give her their rice.

[01:55:57] Yeah.

[01:55:58] Sure.

[01:55:59] They could do that or just never feed them.

[01:56:01] See what happens.

[01:56:02] Yeah.

[01:56:03] Okay.

[01:56:04] All right.

[01:56:05] Let me see.

[01:56:06] What else do we have for Hannah Lil' Nessin?

[01:56:10] Questions everywhere.

[01:56:11] Today.

[01:56:12] Okay.

[01:56:13] Do we have more voicemails?

[01:56:15] I do have one here.

[01:56:17] This is from our friend, Alex Forston Hauser has a voicemail

[01:56:22] for you.

[01:56:23] A traditional.

[01:56:24] Alex Forston Hauser here.

[01:56:25] Long time listener, six time caller.

[01:56:27] My question is for Hannah Shapiro.

[01:56:29] Hannah, we remember all too well what a big Taylor Swift

[01:56:32] fan you are.

[01:56:33] And this season, we've seen Charlie has his own love story

[01:56:36] with her music.

[01:56:37] Do you think Charlie should have said no to an alliance

[01:56:40] that seems so full of bad blood and is bound to hurt

[01:56:43] his reputation?

[01:56:44] Should he just embrace being a fearless anti-hero

[01:56:47] and shake it off by telling them we are never, ever

[01:56:50] getting back together?

[01:56:51] There was a question from the chat also.

[01:56:54] Selena wants to know, Rob, what does Hannah think

[01:56:56] about the new Taylor Swift album?

[01:56:58] We need to know the response has been polarizing

[01:57:01] to Taylor Swift's tortured poet department.

[01:57:06] Hannah, who famously got to go see Taylor Swift due

[01:57:10] to the generosity of an RJP listener.

[01:57:12] What's been your review?

[01:57:14] First of all, that was a fantastic question.

[01:57:17] Alex included so many titles.

[01:57:19] I feel like survivors really trying to get Taylor's

[01:57:22] attention.

[01:57:23] Do you not?

[01:57:24] I mean, they've included so much Taylor Swift.

[01:57:26] You think it's working?

[01:57:29] I think Taylor's a little busy.

[01:57:31] I don't think Taylor is going to be the new CMO.

[01:57:33] This does not rock.

[01:57:35] This does not rock.

[01:57:37] Also, I think Charlie was really smart for joining

[01:57:41] the shaky sick, Alex.

[01:57:43] I think that would move.

[01:57:45] Look, survivors going about this the wrong way.

[01:57:48] This is not how you go about getting Taylor Swift's

[01:57:51] attention.

[01:57:53] They've got it all backwards.

[01:57:55] They've got it all backwards.

[01:57:57] You know how you get Taylor Swift's attention?

[01:58:02] You have a person on the show that talks about Taylor

[01:58:06] Swift sucks.

[01:58:08] She'll respond immediately.

[01:58:11] There'll be a song about survivor.

[01:58:14] Think about it, Hannah.

[01:58:17] You snicker.

[01:58:18] You know this is genius.

[01:58:21] You heard it from Rob first cast Rob.

[01:58:24] I'm not saying this.

[01:58:25] But that's not how I feel.

[01:58:28] But you can say Taylor Swift is awesome

[01:58:30] until the cows come home.

[01:58:32] She's never going to respond.

[01:58:34] One person says, you know, Taylor Swift is kind of mid.

[01:58:38] You're going to get attention.

[01:58:40] You're going to get some attention.

[01:58:42] The story of us part two.

[01:58:44] Island, Island, Island dreams.

[01:58:48] There could be a double album about survivor

[01:58:52] and this happens.

[01:58:54] The chat says Rob has lost it.

[01:58:57] Just see.

[01:58:58] Have I?

[01:59:00] Russ W versus Rob C.

[01:59:03] This is not how I feel.

[01:59:06] Listen, in terms of the.

[01:59:08] I'm in no position to judge Taylor's music,

[01:59:11] but I'm just saying if you wanted to get.

[01:59:13] If you wanted to get her attention,

[01:59:16] that's how you do it.

[01:59:18] Rob, there are first of all to answer

[01:59:21] the question about it being a polarized response.

[01:59:24] This is the time in.

[01:59:27] In the Taylor Swift trajectory where,

[01:59:31] where people start getting.

[01:59:33] Getting saying it's polarizing again if for long time.

[01:59:37] Listen, I grew up listening to cold as you.

[01:59:41] From the OG Taylor Swift Taylor Swift album.

[01:59:45] So I've seen this trajectory again and again.

[01:59:48] Here's what happens.

[01:59:50] They built her up,

[01:59:51] build her up,

[01:59:52] cut her down.

[01:59:53] They built her up so that they could watch her fall.

[01:59:55] This is just, you know,

[01:59:57] something Taylor Swift does well is narrate the.

[02:00:00] What the media likes to do with,

[02:00:03] with Charlie's such a good narrator because he studied from the master.

[02:00:08] I think,

[02:00:09] I think I could compete with Charlie's song offs,

[02:00:12] but I think his, you know, I think, I think.

[02:00:17] Clearly Charlie is a swift fan.

[02:00:19] I wonder if he, if he knew how many,

[02:00:22] how much of it was going to make it.

[02:00:24] But in terms of just to answer the initial question,

[02:00:29] Selena, I don't remember who.

[02:00:31] Celia, wait, who, who, who said it?

[02:00:35] The.

[02:00:36] Well, we'll, we'll get this, the exact spelling.

[02:00:41] I don't think I can bring the question back because I already put,

[02:00:44] I already put it up on the screen, but to answer the question,

[02:00:47] I'm still in the phase where I'm processing a couple of songs a hundred

[02:00:52] times to get, to get those songs down.

[02:00:55] But more the chat has a lot of opinions on this.

[02:01:03] I guess, I guess my, my question.

[02:01:07] Do you think that Taylor Swift will shout out Charlie before the end of

[02:01:10] season?

[02:01:11] Charlie, thank you for mentioning me so much on survivor 46.

[02:01:16] Everybody watch survivor on Paramount plus.

[02:01:19] I think, I think Charlie, I think Taylor Swift might be busy writing like

[02:01:24] hundred song albums and a hundred hour shows.

[02:01:29] I do think one person would make it,

[02:01:32] say something a little rude.

[02:01:34] Rob, Rob, do you think, do you not think million,

[02:01:37] do you not think millions of people already have?

[02:01:40] Like, do you understand that like Taylor Swift is over with trending

[02:01:43] worldwide?

[02:01:44] Like, do you really think one more person's going to shake her on TV though?

[02:01:49] Shake her off.

[02:01:50] Shake it off.

[02:01:51] Shake it off.

[02:01:52] If a person said something on survivor, like we're not talking about

[02:01:55] one tweet.

[02:01:56] This is a huge show.

[02:01:58] I mean, she did go after Ginny and Georgia for making.

[02:02:01] Remember that report Ginny and Georgia.

[02:02:06] I actually know the show runner of Ginny and Georgia,

[02:02:09] who's really cool.

[02:02:11] But no, no, Rob, I think every man who likes to hear himself talk has let

[02:02:18] the world know he doesn't like Taylor Swift.

[02:02:21] And a lot of them has said it to me.

[02:02:23] I had one guy at a game night unprompted.

[02:02:26] He said Taylor Swift is overrated.

[02:02:28] And I said, I wasn't talking,

[02:02:29] who was talking about Taylor Swift?

[02:02:31] He said he only knows one song of hers and then proceeded to

[02:02:34] for 45 minutes, explain this to me.

[02:02:36] And at one point started quoting other songs of hers.

[02:02:40] Every man who, and honestly women, women, women too,

[02:02:44] but every person who doesn't like Taylor Swift is very vocal about it.

[02:02:47] So no, I don't, I don't think,

[02:02:49] I don't think dissing Taylor Swift is going to get her to people

[02:02:54] who don't like Taylor Swift are so vocal about it.

[02:02:57] Again, mind you, I did not say that this was my opinion.

[02:03:01] You keep saying that you think it's going to work.

[02:03:04] I do. I think it was more likely to work than saying how much you

[02:03:07] love Taylor Swift from my experience with people who don't

[02:03:11] like Taylor Swift music. There is no doubt.

[02:03:14] No doubt. There is vocal.

[02:03:17] Someone asked me what song I keep listening to again and

[02:03:23] again and again.

[02:03:24] I think I can do it with a broken heart is super catchy.

[02:03:27] I like Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus.

[02:03:31] I like that one.

[02:03:33] I hate it here is fun.

[02:03:36] You hate that you hated what you had the song that you hated?

[02:03:41] No, I said I hate it here is a fun song.

[02:03:44] I hate it here is a fun song.

[02:03:48] Clara Clara Bow is a good commentary on like the turn over

[02:03:52] of female pop stars.

[02:03:56] I what I do is I listen to a couple songs a lot of times

[02:03:59] and do you rank them?

[02:04:02] I'm not really a ranker. No, they're arbitrary and reductivist

[02:04:06] even would say.

[02:04:09] Who who some some reporter recently ranked seasons.

[02:04:14] Oh, they said they said about 33.

[02:04:17] They said Hannah's neurosis was sometimes entertaining.

[02:04:21] And I was like, all right.

[02:04:23] People got very mad about his rankings.

[02:04:25] I was adult and Ross was it the Dalton Ross?

[02:04:28] I like Dalton Ross a lot. Yeah, but it may have been people got

[02:04:30] very passionate.

[02:04:31] Yeah, there was one day where they got that they people

[02:04:35] like to look at his rankings and then they get mad about

[02:04:38] what season.

[02:04:41] I people have opinions.

[02:04:43] People have opinions.

[02:04:44] People have opinions.

[02:04:46] And when it comes to Taylor Swift, people like to say

[02:04:49] their opinion should they not do survivor rankings anymore?

[02:04:53] Oh, I don't.

[02:04:54] I think people should rank rank it all the time.

[02:04:56] I think people should rank every single player that's ever

[02:04:59] been on survivor.

[02:05:00] You're going to do a ranking go full out.

[02:05:03] Yes, I want to know where I fall.

[02:05:05] Where would Jalinsky be?

[02:05:09] He'd be in either the top several or the bottom several.

[02:05:12] So hard because he's made such an impact.

[02:05:16] I think what Jalinsky has done is impressive.

[02:05:20] Again, I think it's harder than it looks.

[02:05:23] He's made really made something here.

[02:05:26] Do you think Jalinsky will be invited back?

[02:05:30] I think it's hard because I feel like that they if they

[02:05:33] brought people back all the time, if survivor was like

[02:05:35] the challenge and then like every couple of seasons was a

[02:05:37] returning season, I think that they would.

[02:05:40] But if say like survivor 50, like I mean, maybe if they

[02:05:46] brought back 18 people from the new era, I could see it.

[02:05:49] But I kind of feel like, all right, well, I feel like there's

[02:05:52] a lot of people from the from the 30s that we still have to

[02:05:55] like when's Hannah going to come back?

[02:05:57] We got to get to we got a lot of people back for survivor

[02:06:01] 50, right?

[02:06:03] Never.

[02:06:04] Do we have room for the, you know, if we end up doing

[02:06:07] some kind of like all timers, like do we have room for

[02:06:10] with all due respect to the legend?

[02:06:15] We don't have room for anyone.

[02:06:17] If it's going to be one, are they going to do three tribes?

[02:06:20] It's going to be 18 returnies, 18 returnies.

[02:06:23] I mean, there's about 100 returnies who think they're

[02:06:26] about to get back.

[02:06:27] Right.

[02:06:28] So I don't know is not looking good.

[02:06:30] Okay.

[02:06:31] For for Jalinsky and others.

[02:06:35] Okay.

[02:06:36] Hannah, what else is on your mind?

[02:06:38] Anything?

[02:06:40] What is on we talked about the whole season.

[02:06:45] Best buy.

[02:06:47] The only the only thing I'm returning to is RHAP.

[02:06:51] If you'll have me.

[02:06:52] Yes.

[02:06:53] Okay.

[02:06:54] 47.

[02:06:55] 47.

[02:06:56] The cat, the cast of which 40 several will be under an

[02:07:00] ironclad social media contract.

[02:07:02] Yeah.

[02:07:03] What do you think's happened here?

[02:07:04] Cause it you've seen it over the years that it

[02:07:06] really ebbs in flows of just how close of a of an

[02:07:10] eye that the CBS social media department likes to keep tabs

[02:07:15] on these players.

[02:07:16] What was it like in season 33?

[02:07:19] We behaved, but were they where they like, Hey,

[02:07:22] you better not be wild and out on the social media.

[02:07:27] It used to be called Twitter then.

[02:07:30] You know, if you have a kid who like follows every

[02:07:33] rule, you don't have a really don't know what

[02:07:35] that's like, but I would imagine it.

[02:07:38] That's what 33 was.

[02:07:40] We, we followed the rules.

[02:07:43] Some of, we got sent this, this thing by, by the

[02:07:47] social media team.

[02:07:48] It was like a photo that kept getting zoomed in on

[02:07:51] and they asked people to post that and some people

[02:07:54] did, but we really, we were not talking.

[02:07:57] It was a photo that you kept zooming in on.

[02:08:00] They have like a photo of the Gen X cast.

[02:08:03] Yes.

[02:08:04] And a photo of the millennial cast and they sent

[02:08:07] it out and said, this is what we need you to like

[02:08:10] tweet out.

[02:08:11] And the Gen X cast, they literally like zoomed in

[02:08:15] on a still photo and zoomed across.

[02:08:18] It was very old school.

[02:08:20] And they said, this is how we want you to handle

[02:08:23] social media.

[02:08:24] Just post this weird video photo thing.

[02:08:28] That was basically, I sound like a hundred, but

[02:08:31] that was basically, we didn't talk about anything.

[02:08:34] I think Adam once commented on a podcast analysis

[02:08:39] or a couples and I thought that was so bold.

[02:08:43] Yeah.

[02:08:44] Look, he's been breaking the rules ever since they

[02:08:46] invented the rules.

[02:08:48] Yeah.

[02:08:49] Adam Klein few podcast comments really was, I was like,

[02:08:53] whoa, I think a few other people tweeted things.

[02:08:56] I thought, wow.

[02:08:57] Do you like it when the survivors get to speak

[02:09:00] their mind more and he gives away too much.

[02:09:04] I mean, I think it's entertaining.

[02:09:07] It's like you have a book that got made into a movie

[02:09:12] and the thing airing is the movie, but the book is

[02:09:15] the social media.

[02:09:17] Did you know that in the book that this really

[02:09:19] happens?

[02:09:21] I do think it sounds like it would be, it would be

[02:09:25] hard to be on a cast where everyone keeps

[02:09:29] explaining everything on Twitter.

[02:09:31] Would you feel pressure to sort of throw in your

[02:09:34] two cents if everyone else was?

[02:09:37] I guess once the sort of like toothpaste is out of

[02:09:39] the tube.

[02:09:41] Yeah.

[02:09:42] I mean, what does that mean after the season?

[02:09:45] No, I mean, what's one person is like saying a

[02:09:47] bunch of stuff.

[02:09:48] Like I feel like I would feel like about like,

[02:09:50] well, actually like this is blah, blah, blah, blah,

[02:09:53] blah, blah.

[02:09:54] If nobody's allowed to talk, nobody's allowed to talk.

[02:09:57] See, I think that's more ideal mentally, but in

[02:10:00] terms of promoting the show, I think they should let

[02:10:03] contestants talk more like the bachelor.

[02:10:06] The bachelor contestants get to, you know,

[02:10:09] they go nuts.

[02:10:10] Yeah.

[02:10:11] I don't know.

[02:10:12] I mean, I'm of two minds about it.

[02:10:13] Selfishly, like I don't want anybody to give

[02:10:15] anything away.

[02:10:16] I like to have all the discussion.

[02:10:17] It'd be no fun if the whole season got spoiled,

[02:10:19] but also selfishly, like when they all talk,

[02:10:22] we have a lot to talk about.

[02:10:24] So do you feel like something has been spoiled

[02:10:27] for you?

[02:10:29] I do when I don't.

[02:10:30] Like I don't feel like that the show has been spoiled,

[02:10:33] but the way that like certain people are acting,

[02:10:36] it makes me feel like, okay, well,

[02:10:38] I can intuit that this does not happen because

[02:10:42] these people don't like each other.

[02:10:44] But then I also go back to, it was 10 years ago this

[02:10:47] spring that Survivor Kageon was the craziest season

[02:10:51] we've ever had on Survivor Social Media.

[02:10:53] And I never would have thought that Tony was

[02:10:56] the winner based off the way that he was being

[02:10:59] a lunatic on Twitter.

[02:11:04] Yeah.

[02:11:05] Do you feel like...

[02:11:07] I thought he was the first boot.

[02:11:11] He was in a different season.

[02:11:15] Now the first boot is out on Twitter

[02:11:17] and carrying on like a winner.

[02:11:22] Do you think, oh shoot,

[02:11:25] I forgot what I was going to say.

[02:11:26] Oh, do you think that this cast goes after podcasters?

[02:11:32] Do I have something to be afraid of?

[02:11:34] If I do, please don't come after me.

[02:11:36] I will crack it.

[02:11:37] I have some bad news.

[02:11:39] Bad news bears.

[02:11:41] Okay.

[02:11:42] Have they gone after podcasters?

[02:11:47] What have I said that is going to...

[02:11:49] Look, I don't think...

[02:11:50] You didn't say anything.

[02:11:51] You didn't say anything.

[02:11:55] That's going to get you in trouble.

[02:11:57] They did go after...

[02:11:59] So there was a guy who won big brother named Andy Herron.

[02:12:02] Andy Herron, I'm aware of this.

[02:12:04] Andy Herron.

[02:12:05] And he watched Australian Survivor

[02:12:08] and he said,

[02:12:10] Australian Survivor is so much better.

[02:12:12] The cast is better.

[02:12:14] This is cast as off-putting.

[02:12:16] I'm not liking.

[02:12:18] And this was like at the height of the Bonnu era.

[02:12:22] Okay.

[02:12:23] They dragged him to hell.

[02:12:25] Okay.

[02:12:26] Can I have an open letter right now to the cast of 46 then?

[02:12:29] Yes.

[02:12:30] Listen, y'all, I...

[02:12:32] If I have said anything...

[02:12:34] 47.

[02:12:35] 47 or 46?

[02:12:37] 46.

[02:12:38] This cast...

[02:12:40] Is this not 46?

[02:12:41] I'm losing it.

[02:12:42] No, it's 46.

[02:12:43] To this cast, if I have said anything on this podcast

[02:12:47] that makes you want to drag me to hell,

[02:12:50] please don't.

[02:12:51] I cry easily.

[02:12:52] You didn't say anything.

[02:12:54] I've heard easily.

[02:12:56] You guys, I have had fun watching your season.

[02:12:59] I look forward to meeting you all at Adam's wedding.

[02:13:02] I'm sure everyone will be there.

[02:13:04] At least Jolinsky will be.

[02:13:06] Yeah, I honestly don't know.

[02:13:10] Usually I get to know more people unspoiled of course.

[02:13:14] And I've only talked to one this season.

[02:13:17] Sweet Kenzie.

[02:13:20] Am I allowed to say that?

[02:13:22] I don't think so.

[02:13:23] They say anything.

[02:13:25] I have not spoken to that.

[02:13:26] Cut that out.

[02:13:27] She said my eclipse trip looked good.

[02:13:30] That was the extent.

[02:13:32] Oh no, I don't want to get anyone involved.

[02:13:34] Listen, you think that's what somebody is going to get busted for this season?

[02:13:37] Did you DM Hannah?

[02:13:39] There have been no spoilers to be clear.

[02:13:43] I don't podcast spoiled.

[02:13:45] Because I like making big guesses and being wrong in an episode.

[02:13:48] That's what's fun.

[02:13:49] And then just to circle back to Andy Herron,

[02:13:52] then he can't get enough.

[02:13:56] He can't get enough.

[02:13:57] He likes the heat.

[02:13:58] He likes it.

[02:13:59] I don't like the heat.

[02:14:00] He tweeted out after this week's episode,

[02:14:02] I stand by my survivor thoughts that got me canceled a month ago.

[02:14:08] He loves it.

[02:14:09] I don't.

[02:14:10] I don't like being in heated debate.

[02:14:12] He loves it.

[02:14:13] He loves it.

[02:14:14] He can't get enough.

[02:14:16] I am so bad in a fight.

[02:14:19] I cry so quickly.

[02:14:21] Please don't fight me.

[02:14:23] This is the best season that's ever aired.

[02:14:26] Don't come for me.

[02:14:29] Andy's wrong.

[02:14:30] He could take those takes to the Best Buy bathroom.

[02:14:33] He's wrong.

[02:14:34] The season got good.

[02:14:37] Maybe he was on to something during the days of Bonnu,

[02:14:42] but no, he's wrong now.

[02:14:45] I think this season is freaking weird.

[02:14:48] And let's just embrace it for what it is.

[02:14:50] I've had the best time talking about it this week.

[02:14:52] Looking for more, be back on Wednesday night to talk about it.

[02:14:57] Who are you having on?

[02:14:58] Oh, but you can.

[02:15:00] Yes.

[02:15:01] Cassidy Clark.

[02:15:02] You're having on sweet Cassidy.

[02:15:04] Yes.

[02:15:05] She's going to join me on Wednesday night to talk about it

[02:15:07] all live after the episode.

[02:15:08] So join us for that and we'll get her take on it.

[02:15:14] And we'll be back with a new episode of The Best Buy.

[02:15:17] I'm going to get everything.

[02:15:19] Hannah, what's coming up for you?

[02:15:20] We know that you're working on the sketches.

[02:15:23] Yeah.

[02:15:24] I'm actually applying to grad school currently.

[02:15:26] Whoa.

[02:15:27] Yeah.

[02:15:28] I took a couple.

[02:15:29] I am looking to do marriage and family therapy

[02:15:33] and get my therapist degree.

[02:15:35] I got really inspired when I had Denise on my podcast and have

[02:15:39] mapped out a route towards sex therapy that I can combine with

[02:15:43] my writing stuff.

[02:15:44] I took the prerec courses, intro to psych and abnormal psych.

[02:15:49] I then proceeded to,

[02:15:52] hypothetically proceeded to diagnose everyone in my life

[02:15:55] and realized I went full Brita from community and realized

[02:15:58] I'm not allowed to do that because I took one abnormal psych

[02:16:01] class.

[02:16:02] I'm not allowed to do that.

[02:16:03] I'm not allowed to do that.

[02:16:05] I'm not allowed to do that.

[02:16:06] But I'm, I'm, I really have enjoyed the psychology return to

[02:16:11] school.

[02:16:12] And so I'm going to be doing that.

[02:16:14] I'm going to go to the Klein wedding this weekend and meet

[02:16:17] Jalinsky and I'm sure several other survivor players.

[02:16:20] That's so fun.

[02:16:21] And continue to make comedy at,

[02:16:23] at Hannah Lilnesson on Instagram,

[02:16:25] TikTok,

[02:16:26] X.

[02:16:27] Snapchat.

[02:16:28] I'm not on Snapchat.

[02:16:31] And, yeah.

[02:16:32] So please, please follow along the comedy and while I'm also a

[02:16:36] student.

[02:16:37] Yes.

[02:16:38] Okay.

[02:16:39] Colleen says from one therapist to another future therapist.

[02:16:41] Good luck.

[02:16:42] Thank you.

[02:16:43] I feel like this turn in my career will surprise nobody.

[02:16:48] I would really,

[02:16:49] I would really,

[02:16:50] I think nobody is surprised that Hannah's becoming a

[02:16:53] therapist.

[02:16:54] But I really enjoyed learning.

[02:16:56] I'd really love to, at some point,

[02:16:58] write about, you know,

[02:17:00] the mental health behind being a reality show contestant.

[02:17:03] And I had a very public panic attack and so many people have

[02:17:06] reached out to me over the years and asked me things.

[02:17:09] And I,

[02:17:10] I decided it was time to get fully educated on it.

[02:17:13] And it's a long journey.

[02:17:15] It's not immediate.

[02:17:16] And I'm slightly older,

[02:17:18] but I'm excited to sort of pivot and learn.

[02:17:21] So thank you so much for joining us.

[02:17:23] I'm excited to sort of pivot and learn.

[02:17:25] So thank you so much.

[02:17:27] Colleen for the, the best of luck wishes.

[02:17:31] Yes.

[02:17:32] Okay.

[02:17:33] Well,

[02:17:34] Hannah,

[02:17:35] thank you for coming in and educating us on everything you

[02:17:37] learned on survivor 46 at between 2.7 and 3.2.

[02:17:41] Yes.

[02:17:42] Please feel free to like this,

[02:17:45] this podcast is two hours.

[02:17:47] Feel free to watch it at whatever speed you want.

[02:17:49] You can get it down to probably like a,

[02:17:51] like 65 minutes probably at the right speed.

[02:17:55] So think about it.

[02:17:57] Thanks for having me, Rob.

[02:17:58] Thank you.

[02:17:59] Thank you always.
