[00:01:07] Rob as a podcast. And now here's the guy who's ready to talk about the fall of Rome. I am Rob Cisternino. Hello, everybody. Welcome back to our Survivor post-game show here after the mergatory? Are we still calling it that? It seemed like a merge. It was like a merge, but without the buffs. Yeah. So we will break it all down.
[00:01:33] I'm so excited to have here one of the great guests that we can have here on the podcast. Not to, you know, set the bar too high here as we bring back Frannie Maren. Frannie, how are you?
[00:01:45] Oh, hello. I'm so good. I'm so excited to be here. I'm cheesed. I feel like it's been a little while. I got like, I got jitterbugs in my stomach when I heard you doing your little intro.
[00:01:55] Yeah, it's been a minute and I'm so excited to have you here. And we got a very fun episode here with a lot going on here at Survivor 47 as we sort of for the first time in the new era.
[00:02:06] I actually they've played with the the the the mergatory has actually been something they've played with a lot in the new era.
[00:02:14] But here we've actually done and I'm not complaining because it's the best one I think they've done so far.
[00:02:21] But we could talk about the packaging when we get there. But Frannie, how are you?
[00:02:27] Oh, I'm so wonderful. Life is good. Very busy. Matt and I just ran a marathon. So we still have black and blue toes. The toenails are not looking good. But besides that, we're we're excellent.
[00:02:41] Yeah. How is Matt doing? Besides excellent.
[00:02:44] Awesome. Yeah, he's awesome. He is co-directing his taiko group, his Japanese drumming group. They're doing a ton of stuff. And yeah, I don't know, running until very recently.
[00:02:55] We also took a little celebratory trip to Mexico after our after our marathon. And Matt had his first ever spa experience. He loved that. So it's been a wild, wild ride over here.
[00:03:08] We were actually we did. We did a couple's massage, which I've never done before. Best massage of my entire life.
[00:03:14] And at the end, Matt's in his, you know, like robe that they hand out. And it's this like very quiet atmosphere.
[00:03:20] They're playing the spa music. And he like turns to me and he whispers and he's like, I think I love the spa.
[00:03:26] I was like, yeah, buddy, you love. Yeah. Go to a spa is fun. Yeah. Yeah. That's right. It's awesome.
[00:03:32] So better than Survivor. Well, not really. Better than some parts of Survivor.
[00:03:36] Sometimes it's a reward, Frannie. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Yeah. You should bring that back.
[00:03:41] OK, well, it's good. They do a spa at the sanctuary. Is there room for a massage table there?
[00:03:47] Yeah, the sanctuary. There's room. I thought it was funny with the last week, the social hour, like the sanctuary is not that impressive.
[00:03:56] People kind of walked in and instead of going, wow, they were like, oh, OK.
[00:04:00] But the cornhole is new. The cornhole was fun. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I would have eaten up that cornhole that had Minnesota run all over it.
[00:04:07] It's really good. Yeah. All right. Well, we've got a busy day coming up on Thursday as well, as I will get the chance to speak with Rome after what a big night.
[00:04:18] So much airtime for Rome. He got to sit in Jeff Probst chair.
[00:04:24] Insane. Insane. Wild. Yeah. Yeah. Jeff has been waiting for somebody to take the bait on that one for a minute.
[00:04:35] I remember I spoke with Yul Kwan after winners at war and Yul was talking about it.
[00:04:42] And it might have also been the same spot where Yul was getting voted out.
[00:04:46] And Yul said, Jeff, he was explaining something. And Jeff's like, wow, Yul, why don't you sit in my chair and explain it?
[00:04:55] You should host the tribal council.
[00:04:56] Jeff has been waiting to get somebody that's getting voted out to sit in the chair and then ultimately get voted.
[00:05:05] And tonight he found the sucker to take the bait.
[00:05:09] Yeah. Take the bait. Might I might I oppose the thought?
[00:05:12] Perhaps Rome was cast for this very reason.
[00:05:15] From the beginning, they knew he was the one person who would have been willing to go and sit in the chair.
[00:05:19] Waiting to get somebody with this bit for years.
[00:05:22] I was like, I'll get him to sit. They'll sit in the chair.
[00:05:24] They'll explain the thing and then they can vote it out.
[00:05:27] Yeah, I know. Really? It was a it was a real like, is Jeff in on the blind side moment?
[00:05:32] I was like, yes, just really helping them make him feel so comfortable.
[00:05:36] It's great job, Jeff. Good performance.
[00:05:38] And it was it was incredible. Great job by everybody.
[00:05:41] Rome seemed like a good sport, too, on the way out.
[00:05:43] So that good job by Rome on the way out.
[00:05:47] I will talk with him on Thursday morning and then we'll talk with Stephen on the know it all is coming up as well on Thursday afternoon, 3 p.m.
[00:05:56] Eastern if you want to be there for that.
[00:05:59] But, Franny, this was a classic Survivor merge boot episode, certainly evocative of Chris Noble from Survivor Ghost Island.
[00:06:11] And for people who are old enough to remember, my own very Survivor, the Amazon, where Roger was like the known merge boot.
[00:06:24] And everybody, you know, everybody was in on it except for him.
[00:06:29] Yeah. The oldest among us.
[00:06:31] R.I.P. Yes.
[00:06:32] Dinosaurs out there. You remember.
[00:06:34] You remember. Yes.
[00:06:36] Chris Noble, a much more topical reference.
[00:06:39] That's also. Yeah.
[00:06:39] Well, I know somebody known to rap.
[00:06:42] Well, that's what I was going to say.
[00:06:43] I don't know if Roger rapped much, so it doesn't really.
[00:06:46] I never heard him rap.
[00:06:48] Yeah.
[00:06:48] Hey, maybe it was it was quiet.
[00:06:50] Maybe you weren't privy to it.
[00:06:52] But yeah, Rome and Chris Noble, two of the greatest bar spitters of our time, I'd wager.
[00:06:57] Yeah. Yeah.
[00:06:58] I mean, that would be an impressive battle rap to get to see Chris Noble versus Rome.
[00:07:02] But Rome ends up here being the person who like a classic Survivor foible here that, you know, that any lived.
[00:07:15] He died in the game as he lived as that.
[00:07:18] He was just going to be the person who was going to stir the pot, stir, stir, stir.
[00:07:24] And just a little too much too soon, really, for no reason.
[00:07:28] Yeah. Yeah. A lot of stirring, wasn't wearing an apron.
[00:07:32] Now he's got schmutz all over his shirt.
[00:07:34] He's out of the game.
[00:07:35] Yeah. It's interesting because a lot of the things that Rome was doing, like these moments where he would speak to somebody and then immediately relay that information to someone else.
[00:07:44] There was always a moment when he did that where I was like, is this genius?
[00:07:48] Like is Rome about to like really pull one over on everyone?
[00:07:51] And then it would just immediately crumble like the next moment that I had that thought.
[00:07:56] But yeah. Yeah.
[00:07:57] I mean, he was I don't even want to say necessarily that he was like a huge liar.
[00:08:04] We did see him tell lies, but he really was like a real like relay of information and maybe twisting of the information.
[00:08:14] Can you talk a little bit about, you know, so like in this new era, three tribes, everybody comes together.
[00:08:20] Everybody's excited to meet each other.
[00:08:23] But can you be too gossipy?
[00:08:26] Oh, definitely.
[00:08:28] Yeah.
[00:08:28] I think that this.
[00:08:30] So like I said, Rome does this thing.
[00:08:33] I had this moment where I'm like, is it really smart?
[00:08:35] But the reason that it's not really smart, in my opinion, is because Rome hasn't had the time to actually develop any emotional connection with these people.
[00:08:43] It's like right away you hit Mergatory, you're meeting them for the first time and then you're immediately spreading information to everyone.
[00:08:52] There's no like social net for you to fall back on where somebody thinks themselves like, oh, Rome's, you know, talking to other people, but I kind of trust him.
[00:09:00] So I'm going to let it slide.
[00:09:02] And it just immediately becomes a red flag.
[00:09:04] So I think that like this is it's the time when you want to be most gossipy because there's this whole fresh pool of people around.
[00:09:10] But I think it's the worst time to do so.
[00:09:12] Like you just have to like really lay low.
[00:09:15] Yeah.
[00:09:15] I mean, he was just mining so much information and then just like passing it along to anything that Kyle said he was telling everybody about it.
[00:09:23] And then it was Tiana of all people who really did the fact check on like, no, I don't think so.
[00:09:29] So, I mean, I think Kyle did say what Rome had reported back to.
[00:09:34] He kind of did actually.
[00:09:34] He kind of did.
[00:09:36] But Tiana's like, no, no, Kyle wouldn't say that.
[00:09:39] He's my friend.
[00:09:40] I'm going to go find out about that.
[00:09:42] And, you know, we saw that even with his own tribe last week where Saul went back to Genevieve and relayed what Rome was saying, even though it was something that Genevieve had said.
[00:09:51] Yeah, immediately.
[00:09:52] And that's where it does really come down to the relationship.
[00:09:56] Like Rome had to have made an assessment.
[00:09:58] He needed to think to himself, is my relationship with this person that I'm talking to better than their relationship with the person I'm about to relay this information to?
[00:10:09] You know, because like I think if he had really taken a moment to listen to Kyle's feelings about where Tuku was laying, you know, who he wanted to work with, Rome would have realized pretty quickly that Kyle trusted and liked Tiana a lot.
[00:10:25] And so he should have made that assessment of, wait, I think these two like each other.
[00:10:29] It's not going to make sense for me to immediately go to Tiana.
[00:10:31] She's going to trust Kyle over me.
[00:10:33] But he just didn't.
[00:10:34] I think he just gets he got so excited that he, you know, saw this opportunity to break down a relationship and didn't stop to think that, like, he's the newcomer here.
[00:10:43] Why?
[00:10:43] Why should they trust him over somebody that they've been with for, you know, 11 days at this point?
[00:10:49] Something that's interesting to me about this season that I think is different than your season and most of the seasons we've seen from the new era.
[00:10:56] I feel like that the tribe loyalty is like seemingly not there at all in this season.
[00:11:05] I feel like that there was almost no mention whatsoever of, oh, I don't want to lose somebody from my tribe.
[00:11:11] I don't want to lose somebody from my tribe.
[00:11:13] And maybe it was a factor, but it was just not something at all that we saw.
[00:11:17] It did not seem as though the three tribes were moving in unison, perhaps maybe a little bit the Gata tribe.
[00:11:25] But I think that was more so like that, you know, Sierra and Sam, I think, still have a tight bond.
[00:11:32] And Andy and Rachel are, you know, hanging on there.
[00:11:35] But it did not seem as though the tribes are working as one.
[00:11:39] Yeah.
[00:11:40] I wonder if this is a function of like a fairly even split among the tribes going to tribal council pre-merge.
[00:11:48] I know, I guess Tuku only went once, but they obviously have some issues amongst themselves.
[00:11:53] Like each tribe individually felt very divided and complex when we were dealing with them as like separate entities.
[00:11:59] So, yeah, it's not surprising that they come together and they're not like Gata strong, Tuku strong.
[00:12:05] Like they can't wait to work with other people.
[00:12:07] I think it's exciting.
[00:12:08] Yeah, it's exciting.
[00:12:09] Because I'm a little sick of watching, you know, one tribe just like absolutely gelling together against all odds,
[00:12:16] even though they really don't like each other or maybe like shouldn't be working together.
[00:12:19] I think it's sort of boring.
[00:12:20] And we did have this like pile on tonight of everybody going on Rome.
[00:12:24] But I do think that it like sets the stage for an explosion that is going to happen with the rest of the season.
[00:12:30] Yeah, I agree.
[00:12:31] And the reason why I bring up the tribe loyalty is that I feel like that, you know, in another scenario,
[00:12:37] you know, when Rome is doing these things that perhaps that the people from Rome's tribe may sort of like work to try to fix this
[00:12:46] or clean this up or do some damage control for Rome.
[00:12:50] We did not see either not Tini, not Saul, not Genevieve, Rome's tightest ally work at all to try to save him.
[00:13:00] Yeah.
[00:13:01] Saul, in fact, pushing him further under the bus.
[00:13:04] I was like, finally, this is wonderful.
[00:13:06] I love that.
[00:13:07] I love Saul's confessional where he's like, all he does is talk, talk, talk.
[00:13:10] And it's just crap.
[00:13:13] Yeah, I was a little surprised that Genevieve didn't push back on the Rome plan at all.
[00:13:19] But I actually think it was really smart for her because we'll get to this later.
[00:13:22] But she already had so much exposure in this episode that I think like, you know, finding this advantage,
[00:13:30] being the only one visibly clean, like you just stand out to then also push your agenda against this guy that is,
[00:13:36] you know, seeming sketchy to everyone.
[00:13:38] I think it would have been too much for her.
[00:13:39] So she made the right choice.
[00:13:40] But it was.
[00:13:41] Yeah.
[00:13:42] Yeah.
[00:13:42] Nobody sticking up for him.
[00:13:43] It's kind of a little sad.
[00:13:45] Yeah.
[00:13:46] But Rome got so much of the episode devoted to him.
[00:13:52] Franny, he got to save previously on Survivor.
[00:13:54] I don't think that anybody else has ever gotten that before.
[00:13:57] No, that was insane.
[00:13:59] That's what I'm saying.
[00:13:59] We're like, like they found Rome in casting and they're like, we're going to try everything with this guy because he's going to do it.
[00:14:06] Like anything that we want him to do, he'll try it.
[00:14:08] I also, the thing that's funny with Rome, like watching this season, I don't think, I think it hasn't been years.
[00:14:16] Like I have not yelled at the TV this violently in here is the way that Rome has made me yell at the TV.
[00:14:24] Like poor Matt is sitting next to me, watching me watch the past couple of episodes.
[00:14:28] And I'm like.
[00:14:30] Hold on.
[00:14:31] No, you get you.
[00:14:32] Franny, you're yelling too much.
[00:14:33] And then automatic volume control is making us not be able to hear you.
[00:14:38] Yes.
[00:14:38] Okay.
[00:14:39] Yeah.
[00:14:39] So I would say things like Rome, you fucking idiot.
[00:14:43] Shut the F up.
[00:14:45] But louder, louder, you know.
[00:14:48] Imagine it louder.
[00:14:49] Yes.
[00:14:50] And I think Matt's never seen me that angry.
[00:14:53] And he was on the island with you.
[00:14:56] And he was on the island with me.
[00:14:57] Yeah.
[00:14:57] So and we live together.
[00:14:59] You know, there's I just.
[00:15:00] He was in the marathon with you.
[00:15:02] Yeah.
[00:15:02] I got mad at that, too.
[00:15:04] So it's I have I have loved to hate the character of Rome for the past whatever five weeks.
[00:15:12] And I think I'm actually really sad that he's going to be gone.
[00:15:14] Like it was so much fun to yell at him and say that he's stupid.
[00:15:18] And I'm sure in real life I would, you know, I would find him hilarious and, you know, get to know him and like him.
[00:15:23] But wow, it's so fun to hate him on the show.
[00:15:26] Yeah.
[00:15:27] I mean that Rome, the TV character, did bring a lot to the show.
[00:15:32] He certainly like put it all out there.
[00:15:35] The show, you know, I think did relish having him put it all out there.
[00:15:40] It was like a delicious downfall for us as viewers.
[00:15:44] I think it probably even came sooner than we were expecting.
[00:15:48] I don't think that a lot of people thought that Rome was in a ton of danger coming into this week.
[00:15:53] Yeah, no, I don't think so at all.
[00:15:55] I would never have thought that because, yeah, it's interesting.
[00:16:00] So there's a lot to say about this, like merge structure.
[00:16:05] I loved it.
[00:16:05] I thought it was great.
[00:16:06] Like, you know, it looks more like a typical merge.
[00:16:09] I love that there are so many more options for people to vote for.
[00:16:15] I think that the merge story, the classic merge story where you only have half, like feels like everything really narrows and the players don't have the room to like navigate and grow.
[00:16:22] So I was a little bummed that the vote was somebody like Rome who feels like such an easy pile on or if it had been somebody like Andy.
[00:16:31] Like I was hoping that people would use that that opening as an opportunity to make a really interesting move.
[00:16:36] Yeah.
[00:16:37] But yeah, so I was just like very surprised that it was him, especially since it got brought up so early in the episode.
[00:16:43] Yeah.
[00:16:43] I was like, when will the other shoe drop?
[00:16:46] And it did not.
[00:16:47] Yeah.
[00:16:47] Yeah.
[00:16:48] You know, it's up there.
[00:16:49] Yeah.
[00:16:49] I saw people say like, well, we know it's definitely not Rome because it's so locked in at this point.
[00:16:55] And then you did have like the specter of the amulets.
[00:16:58] And then there was that one moment where Rome had the crocodile tears where he was saying that Saul is bullying him and he's being so mean to him.
[00:17:06] And he was, you know, manufacturing some teardrops.
[00:17:10] And it's like, okay, oh, wait, maybe is Caroline going to really push to play the amulet on Rome?
[00:17:17] Is that possible?
[00:17:19] But no, that is not the case.
[00:17:21] Yeah, not the case.
[00:17:22] And, you know, I'm okay with it.
[00:17:24] Like, I'm glad that, you know, none of my other people that I'm really psyched about went home.
[00:17:28] But yeah, we're going to we're going to miss out on something without seeing Rome on our screen.
[00:17:32] Yeah.
[00:17:32] Okay.
[00:17:33] So at the tribal council, Jeff asks Rome to talk about the advantages and says, okay, why don't you sit in my chair?
[00:17:43] And should we swap?
[00:17:44] And it was a historic moment.
[00:17:47] But Rome talked about how this advantage, not that good.
[00:17:52] And Jeff, we saw Jeff like take offense.
[00:17:54] Like, oh, what?
[00:17:56] You don't like my advantage?
[00:17:57] He's like, no, no, it stinks.
[00:17:59] And he proceeds to explain that.
[00:18:02] Jeff doesn't really explain to the players how the advantages work and what's bad about the advantages in his in his job.
[00:18:11] But I mean, I kind of I hate to say that Rome was right.
[00:18:16] Oh, yeah, he was really accurate.
[00:18:18] And he did a good job.
[00:18:19] He was well spoken to.
[00:18:21] I was like, oh, darn.
[00:18:22] He did a really good job.
[00:18:23] Yeah, because then they proceed to flush the amulets down the toilet.
[00:18:28] Yeah, the amulet.
[00:18:30] I think this is the first time that it's ever actually been used with more than just one person.
[00:18:35] Very exciting.
[00:18:36] Baby steps.
[00:18:37] It has to be used in the least.
[00:18:39] Yeah, exactly.
[00:18:41] I think it has to be used in like the least interesting and impactful way first just to demonstrate that it can be done.
[00:18:47] And then maybe next season we'll like build on it a little bit.
[00:18:51] Yeah, I found it really interesting with the amulet because obviously it gets completely blown.
[00:18:57] It's essentially useless.
[00:18:59] But I do think it means something that the three players were able to even get on the same page about all blowing it at the same time.
[00:19:09] That sounds kind of weird as I'm saying it out loud.
[00:19:10] But, you know, who's the advantage at the same time?
[00:19:13] Yeah, like just that willingness to work together cross-tribally, I think it's setting the foundation for what we talked about before, which is that the lines are dissolving very quickly.
[00:19:24] The lines are dissolving very quickly.
[00:19:26] And I think that Andy is in such an interesting situation.
[00:19:29] Really all season long, you know, when the votes came up, two votes came up on Andy.
[00:19:33] I know that one was solid.
[00:19:35] I didn't catch who the second Andy vote was.
[00:19:38] It was it was Sue.
[00:19:40] Sue.
[00:19:40] OK, Andy very astutely says I was the backup plan.
[00:19:45] You know, he realizes that.
[00:19:47] Wait, hold on.
[00:19:48] I was the person who ended up being the person.
[00:19:53] And this was a big deal in your season of was it was it going to be jam jam or was it going to be Kane?
[00:19:58] That if Josh played an idol, right, that like who was the backup plan going to be?
[00:20:04] And Andy was like, wait, hold on.
[00:20:06] So I'm I'm expendable.
[00:20:08] And I do wonder if that's going to be a thing moving forward.
[00:20:12] I do think that that was a byproduct of the mergatory competition where Rachel was somebody who won the challenge.
[00:20:20] And I think that she was there with Sam and Sierra.
[00:20:23] And so when they're talking about like, oh, who do we put the like, who's the backup plan?
[00:20:29] Maybe if Andy was there and not Rachel, they say Rachel.
[00:20:33] Rachel's on the outs.
[00:20:34] But they can't say Rachel's the backup plan because she's at the merge feast when they're deciding that.
[00:20:39] I remember you, you and Matt were at the merge feast, right?
[00:20:43] We were.
[00:20:44] A lot gets decided there.
[00:20:45] A lot gets decided there.
[00:20:46] And I was I was curious to see if that would be different because they're not safe.
[00:20:51] Like I wondered if because the merge feast that I was at and all the ones that we've seen in the new era, there's this bravado where it's like, we can do anything.
[00:21:00] We're kings and queens.
[00:21:01] Cheers.
[00:21:01] We're using charcuterie.
[00:21:04] Huzzah.
[00:21:04] To new beginnings.
[00:21:09] Carol ended up like barfing in the corner.
[00:21:12] Yeah.
[00:21:13] So I was wondering if that would if the tone there would be a little bit different.
[00:21:19] I do think that the the so the tone felt very similar, right?
[00:21:22] They all ended up sitting around and deciding who as a group they thought they wanted to vote for.
[00:21:26] I felt like the vibe was different for the people who did not go to the feast in past new era seasons.
[00:21:33] It's been dejected over there like they've been very sad and they've I think it's the energy has been.
[00:21:40] Oh, well, I guess we just have to wait around until they come back and tell us the plan.
[00:21:43] So I liked that.
[00:21:45] They seemed to feel like they had more more agency.
[00:21:48] But yeah, the Andy being the backup like you never want to be the backup.
[00:21:52] And I think there's kind of like a like a like a burst bursting the bubble moment after your name has been written down once.
[00:22:01] Yeah, people are more willing to consider doing it again.
[00:22:04] So if somebody makes it, you know, all the way through the post merge with their name never being written down, it just like I feel like it just doesn't come to mind as easily when you're when you're thinking about who to vote out.
[00:22:12] You're like, OK, well, who's who've I voted in the past?
[00:22:14] OK, I voted Andy that time.
[00:22:16] Why don't we just do Andy?
[00:22:17] It's easy.
[00:22:17] I know how to write his name down.
[00:22:19] Yeah, so it's not good for him.
[00:22:21] His reaction was valid.
[00:22:22] You don't want to be that person.
[00:22:23] Right.
[00:22:23] And so this comes on the heels of him playing the amulet with Caroline and teeny.
[00:22:27] And I do think it is kind of interesting because even though it was a flush of this amulet, I think it signals a couple of things to the players is like, OK, well, one, these three are feeling pretty safe.
[00:22:39] Because if any of those people were really feeling insecure, they wouldn't necessarily be like goofing off with the idol or the amulet in that way.
[00:22:49] Now, I think that Andy, as we've seen in the first episode when he had that emotional moment, maybe doesn't handle this level of having some paranoia especially well.
[00:23:03] I do wonder maybe could this perhaps end up putting him back into a little bit more of the feral Andy that we saw back in the first episode where he's like a little bit more.
[00:23:16] Or I got to figure something else out here because it could be me.
[00:23:21] Yeah, I think we might see feral baby Andy.
[00:23:24] It's like like Kendra's was it like raccoon in a trash can?
[00:23:28] You know, yeah, I think that for Andy, right, like he's had this story that is really based on his insecurities around social exclusion, like feeling left out.
[00:23:38] And I think that encapsulated in the, you know, two hours of tribal council, he had this jubilant moment where he stands up with these two other people.
[00:23:46] They're working together.
[00:23:47] They play their amulet.
[00:23:48] He really feels like he's in on what's going on.
[00:23:50] And then not, you know, 45 seconds later, you have Jeff reading his name.
[00:23:55] And I think that that juxtaposition will freak him out.
[00:23:59] I think it's going to, even though everyone was like, we knew it was Rome.
[00:24:04] It wasn't going to be you.
[00:24:06] That is going to make him feel like-
[00:24:08] It was a blind side though.
[00:24:08] He didn't know he was getting two votes.
[00:24:10] It was a blind side to him.
[00:24:11] And it's going to make him feel like every happy, you know, fitting moment he's had since the merge has been fake.
[00:24:18] Yeah.
[00:24:18] He's going to re-examine all of those.
[00:24:19] They could have played the amulet on him.
[00:24:22] Yes.
[00:24:22] And that's actually, I had that thought as we were talking just now.
[00:24:25] It's like, maybe that was the move is to play the amulet on him because, because then, well.
[00:24:32] Did Caroline know about the, who the decoy votes were?
[00:24:36] Did Tina know?
[00:24:37] I think Andy's going to be questioning everything.
[00:24:40] Yeah.
[00:24:41] Who's the other person that got a vote?
[00:24:42] Sam.
[00:24:43] Yeah.
[00:24:43] Well, the Sam vote was so hilariously classic Rome in that Rome was so overconfident that Saul was getting voted out.
[00:24:54] That he said, I need, this is too boring.
[00:24:57] I've done too good of a job.
[00:24:59] I need to either throw some more chaos on this.
[00:25:02] It's not enough that I'm getting Saul voted out.
[00:25:04] I'm going to throw a hinky vote on Sam just to create more confusion.
[00:25:09] Yeah.
[00:25:09] He said he got up to the voting booth and he's like, whoa, whoa.
[00:25:12] I haven't stirred the pot in 25 minutes.
[00:25:15] Saul's getting like nine votes.
[00:25:17] Like he doesn't need all those votes.
[00:25:19] Yeah.
[00:25:19] Where's the fun in that?
[00:25:21] But yeah.
[00:25:22] Wow.
[00:25:22] Rome really left a little, you know, a little fun package on his way out.
[00:25:26] I think that that's going to cause some issues as well.
[00:25:28] Could be.
[00:25:29] Because I mean that the question of who is the Sam vote, I think is going to be out there of like, who did Rome vote for?
[00:25:36] Was he the other Andy vote?
[00:25:37] Was he the Sam vote?
[00:25:38] I think that that's going to be a question that's going to be asked.
[00:25:41] And for Andy, just to go back to this journey that he's been on, he was having so much fun.
[00:25:47] We saw him in this episode talk about how that tribal council sucked.
[00:25:51] Not.
[00:25:54] That was a great moment.
[00:25:55] I was like, oh, salt in the wound for poor Annika watching this episode.
[00:25:59] He's like, that was fun as hell, voting and blindsiding Annika.
[00:26:03] But then, you know, the thing about blindsides, Franny, it's very fun when you are the blindsider.
[00:26:12] But when you're the blindside-y, not that fun.
[00:26:15] Not so fun.
[00:26:16] Not so fun.
[00:26:18] Yeah.
[00:26:18] And I think that the most astute players among us recognize that disparity and know that you're the blindsider.
[00:26:25] You don't really want to relish too much in the blindsiding for then one day, you know, many of us go from the blindsider to the blindside-y.
[00:26:37] Yeah.
[00:26:38] It's the path that most of us follow.
[00:26:41] Yeah.
[00:26:44] Andy's still finding his footing.
[00:26:46] You know, I think that he's just really, he's clearly so excited to be playing Survivor and he has a lot of really good ideas.
[00:26:53] And that excitement comes through, those ideas come out.
[00:26:55] But there are also moments where like the ideas and the excitement don't quite marry in the way that they should.
[00:27:01] Really crazy babies pop out and they're not so cool.
[00:27:04] Yeah.
[00:27:05] How about that Rome vote came in German tonight?
[00:27:11] That was wild!
[00:27:12] I had a moment, I had a moment watching and I was like, am I, am I having like a mental issue right now?
[00:27:20] Yeah.
[00:27:20] Did the SAP turn on on my television?
[00:27:23] Yeah.
[00:27:24] It was really interesting.
[00:27:25] I feel like, yeah, I feel like Andy is putting a lot of thought into those voting confessionals.
[00:27:31] He is.
[00:27:31] I'm proud of him.
[00:27:32] I'm proud of him.
[00:27:33] Yeah.
[00:27:33] Yeah.
[00:27:34] He's doing good work in the confessional booth.
[00:27:37] Yeah.
[00:27:37] He is.
[00:27:38] Yeah.
[00:27:38] Franny, I feel like that this season in particular, the voting confessionals have been back in a big way.
[00:27:45] Do you feel like that in Survivor 44, were people going into the voting booth, were they still doing all of the same like voting confessionals that you would expect from Survivor?
[00:27:58] Over the years.
[00:27:59] Or do you think that was there like, hey, you don't need to do all that.
[00:28:03] And that they've said, hey, play jazz in the voting booth.
[00:28:08] Yeah.
[00:28:09] Play like elevator music in the background.
[00:28:12] I personally did not engage deeply in the voting booth confessional moment, mostly because I always felt bad.
[00:28:18] But you must have heard stories when people come back.
[00:28:21] If somebody had a real zinger, they'd come back and talk about it after Tribal.
[00:28:25] Yeah.
[00:28:26] Oh, absolutely.
[00:28:27] So I think it depends heavily on the personalities.
[00:28:30] Like if you have people that, you know, they think that they've got a little like verbal pizzazz, the whole, you know, boat ride to Tribal Council, they're thinking about it.
[00:28:38] And then they want to tell everyone afterwards.
[00:28:40] There was a little bit of that on my season, but I mean, clearly they weren't good enough to make the cut.
[00:28:45] But I just think that, Franny, in the evolution of the new era, like I think that there was like a little bit more of a focus on like the sportsmanship, especially coming through.
[00:28:56] And I think that even since 44 wasn't that long ago.
[00:28:59] But I think that the show has like really gone like a little bit back to its roots in sort of showing some of these spicier.
[00:29:07] Jeff is spicy and the voting confessionals are spicier.
[00:29:11] Yeah, absolutely.
[00:29:12] I remember I saw online actually the other day.
[00:29:15] God knows why somebody was talking about season 44 the other day.
[00:29:17] But somebody was like, I hated season 44.
[00:29:19] They liked each other too much.
[00:29:21] And so I feel like that happened on like 45 too.
[00:29:24] I think season 46 really reminded us that you can be mean to each other on TV.
[00:29:29] And I think that, you know, some of the people on the season are taking from that and not like, you know, there's a line between being a bully and saying something cutting that's going to be really fun.
[00:29:39] But I'm glad that people are bringing that energy back.
[00:29:42] I think it's so much fun to watch.
[00:29:44] This show is sponsored by BetterHelp.
[00:29:47] Halloween lets us have fun this time of year with what scares us.
[00:29:52] Although for me, one thing I'm still not having fun with no matter how old I get is clowns.
[00:29:57] I don't care.
[00:29:58] You can miss me with them.
[00:29:59] But therapy is a great tool for being able to face your fears and finding ways to overcome them.
[00:30:06] It's amazing when your whole mentality shifts when you either learn a new coping skill or learn how to set a new boundary.

[00:30:48] Let's talk about this merge and how we ended up doing it.
[00:30:53] And so Jeff was very conscious to continue to remind us, okay, this is still earning the merge.
[00:31:00] We're still earning the merge here today.
[00:31:03] And it did feel like the mergatories of the new era where we're going to divide everybody up into two groups.
[00:31:11] Jeff said, all right.
[00:31:12] And for the first time, we're not doing a rock draw.
[00:31:14] We're doing a schoolyard pick.
[00:31:16] And we go to commercial.
[00:31:18] And it's like, all right, here we go.
[00:31:20] What?
[00:31:21] Such a blue balls moment.
[00:31:23] They didn't even tell us any yellow, too.
[00:31:27] They didn't even tell us who the captains were.
[00:31:31] Yeah.
[00:31:32] What is the point?
[00:31:33] Truly, if you don't even say who the captains are, what is the point?
[00:31:36] I don't know.
[00:31:37] It just makes people feel bad about each other or feel a certain way about each other.
[00:31:41] And we don't actually see the repercussions of that.
[00:31:43] The one thing I'll say, and I don't remind me from your season, but I feel like that the last couple of seasons, that it seems like that the groupings were a little lopsided from the rock draw.
[00:31:54] Especially remember last season where it was like every, it was basically like all of the women in Charlie versus like all of like the big strong guys and like Tiffany and Kenzie.
[00:32:05] Yeah, yeah.
[00:32:06] But it's interesting because, you know, it's a little rich of Jeff and production to think like, oh, the rock draw is not random enough.
[00:32:15] Like it's rigged because it's that's like the most random way to do it.
[00:32:19] You know, they're lucky that the schoolyard pick didn't make things very lopsided.
[00:32:23] Well, I feel like that with the schoolyard pick, I feel like that's sort of like that.
[00:32:26] OK, well, I would take a strong person.
[00:32:28] You take a strong person.
[00:32:29] You take a strong person like maybe the social dynamics get into play.
[00:32:33] But I think you are probably more likely to get even teams than to do it by the rock draw where you potentially have a non-competitive, like very long challenge.
[00:32:44] Yeah, that's a good point.
[00:32:45] That's a good point.
[00:32:46] The players should, in theory, like sort themselves out somewhat.
[00:32:50] You would hope.
[00:32:50] You would hope.
[00:32:51] You would hope.
[00:32:52] But we end up with a very long challenge that ultimately ends up being for reward.
[00:32:58] Yeah.
[00:32:59] Yeah.
[00:33:00] You know, I'm realizing I didn't even write down the teams because it didn't feel like as important as the mergatory.
[00:33:08] Like there's such a moment being in the group that wins the mergatory that like really gels you together.
[00:33:14] You get your buffs.
[00:33:14] You're like, we are a group.
[00:33:16] We won.
[00:33:16] We're so special.
[00:33:17] And it matters.
[00:33:19] But this didn't really have that.
[00:33:20] Like, you know, they go and sit on the bench and they all look exactly the same except for Genevieve because they're all covered in mud.
[00:33:26] Yes.
[00:33:26] Yeah.
[00:33:27] Well, can I speak to the mud?
[00:33:28] Because, you know, I talked about this back in episode number one.
[00:33:31] And Jeff, you know, he gave a great answer about why they do this on the On Fire podcast.
[00:33:37] He's talked about how, you know, they like to have the mud.
[00:33:40] They want the players to be birthed into Survivor.
[00:33:45] He loves birth.
[00:33:46] He keeps using birth.
[00:33:48] And I guess we're birthing into the merge.
[00:33:51] But the problem is now you've made two random teams and now covered everybody in mud.
[00:33:57] And I don't know who anybody is anymore.
[00:34:00] So I'm not watching a bunch of shadowy figures compete.
[00:34:04] And I don't even know what I'm rooting for.
[00:34:07] Yeah.
[00:34:08] Like the blob on the left.
[00:34:09] You're doing great.
[00:34:10] Yeah.
[00:34:11] Immediately you can't tell.
[00:34:13] I'm like, who are you?
[00:34:13] Is that Rachel or Sierra?
[00:34:16] Or who is that?
[00:34:18] I lost Teenie entirely.
[00:34:20] I think I confused her with the background for a while.
[00:34:23] And then I saw her a little while later.
[00:34:25] Yeah.
[00:34:25] It makes it really difficult.
[00:34:26] Though Genevieve was really-
[00:34:27] Genevieve's the one easy person.
[00:34:29] And, you know, as they pointed out on the B&B, you know, the perfect like where's Waldo
[00:34:34] clothes to begin with.
[00:34:35] Yes.
[00:34:35] Very easy to spot in the crowd.
[00:34:38] But yeah, look, I understand thematically why they use the mud.
[00:34:43] But it makes it very hard to, as a viewer, to figure out what's going on.
[00:34:48] But ultimately, we end up with the Yellow Tribe winning reward and then going right into
[00:34:55] individual immunity challenge.
[00:34:57] Yeah.
[00:34:58] I kind of liked it.
[00:34:59] I thought it was wonderful.
[00:35:02] I feel like it's-
[00:35:04] We're so back.
[00:35:05] We're so back.
[00:35:07] Nature is healing.
[00:35:08] Nature is healing.
[00:35:10] Yes.
[00:35:11] Nature is birthing.
[00:35:12] Nature is doing a lot of things.
[00:35:14] Yeah.
[00:35:14] I think that the individual immunity is such a like quintessential survivor moment.
[00:35:20] And so I like giving the players that as early as possible.
[00:35:24] You know, I think that that's when they really start to feel like I'm playing for myself.
[00:35:27] I'm a player in my own right.
[00:35:29] And I'm fighting for my life in this game with this wibbly wobbly thing.
[00:35:32] So yeah, I thought it was wonderful.
[00:35:34] I really liked it.
[00:35:35] Yeah, it was great.
[00:35:36] I mean, frankly, I think we just could have done without the whole first part.
[00:35:39] Like, I don't know if they like really good.
[00:35:42] Just lined everybody up.
[00:35:43] It's like, okay, top six people are getting the merge feast.
[00:35:46] Like that wasn't fine.
[00:35:47] We could have saved like 15 minutes.
[00:35:50] Yeah.
[00:35:50] Yeah.
[00:35:50] You run from here to here.
[00:35:52] Whoever's fastest, you get a feast.
[00:35:53] Yeah.
[00:35:54] Well, I think for like the first six people out, you're like not.
[00:35:57] And again, this would not be the challenge.
[00:35:59] I think that would be best to do that.
[00:36:00] I think you want something that's a little bit more of like a test of wills of like, okay,
[00:36:04] like, you know, you want to be holding on as opposed to like your ball falls off.
[00:36:08] But like, I think they could have just done the same exact comp.
[00:36:11] And then whoever are the last six in the comp, they ultimately win a reward.
[00:36:17] Yeah.
[00:36:18] I think that they like the giant wall.
[00:36:21] They do.
[00:36:21] The warped wall.
[00:36:22] Is that what they call it?
[00:36:24] The warped wall.
[00:36:25] Yes.
[00:36:25] It's symbolic.
[00:36:27] There's like, you know, they're really ascending to the next level of the game, which by the
[00:36:30] way, warped wall, difficult.
[00:36:32] Warped wall covered in mud.
[00:36:33] That's a whole other.
[00:36:34] Could you do that?
[00:36:35] Did you have that?
[00:36:37] Oh yeah.
[00:36:38] Yeah.
[00:36:38] I did that.
[00:36:39] Yeah.
[00:36:39] I, I, I, yeah, I did it quite well, actually easy and fun, but, um, I think I would struggle
[00:36:45] with it.
[00:36:46] I'd be worried because it's like that one, cause once you don't get it the first time,
[00:36:50] then you fall down, you like rip your arms up.
[00:36:53] Uh, now you have a rash.
[00:36:56] Yeah.
[00:36:57] Yeah.
[00:36:57] Yeah.
[00:36:57] There are, there are people on my season who had, um, you know, uh, warped wall burn for
[00:37:02] the rest of the game.
[00:37:03] I'll tell you.
[00:37:03] But, um, yeah, it, uh, I thought it was really fun.
[00:37:06] I also love that they, um, stacked up the, uh, sandbags, the giant bag, the sandbags.
[00:37:12] I thought that was really smart.
[00:37:13] I think the key to the warped wall, Rob, should you ever have the opportunity to try it?
[00:37:16] It's really, it's really a commit to the bit moment.
[00:37:19] Like, I think you just have to absolutely throw yourself at it.
[00:37:22] And if you're nervous at all, it's like, it's like, it can smell fear and it's not
[00:37:25] going to smell fear.
[00:37:26] Okay.
[00:37:26] Yeah.
[00:37:27] And the mud, and the mud on your shoe is not also ideal for that, but yeah, I thought it
[00:37:32] was a nice comeback story for yellow and they had to stack the, the bags.
[00:37:36] And then the table maze even was, you know, it was Gabe and Rome and they were just like
[00:37:41] spamming the controls the whole time.
[00:37:44] That's not how you do it on survivor with the table maze.
[00:37:48] Yeah.
[00:37:49] Not how you don't on survivor at all.
[00:37:50] It's interesting though, because I mean, people have, uh, I don't, my memory is not strong
[00:37:55] enough to know this.
[00:37:56] People have certainly had that approach to the maze.
[00:37:59] I don't know if anybody's won with that approach, but there have certainly been people who have
[00:38:02] done those like huge moves and then like skipped over a bunch of holes.
[00:38:06] I understand the thought, but after it doesn't work several times, I do think you, you may
[00:38:10] want to abandon that particular strategy.
[00:38:12] That's not Rome style.
[00:38:14] People are behind.
[00:38:15] Right.
[00:38:16] Yeah.
[00:38:16] Yeah.
[00:38:17] He'll go through with it no matter what.
[00:38:18] Yeah.
[00:38:18] Okay.
[00:38:19] I want to talk a little bit about Genevieve who, that there was this moment in the episode
[00:38:22] where, uh, there's suddenly a sign and, uh, I don't know how they like, like what was the
[00:38:29] Tuku tribe doing that?
[00:38:30] They didn't notice, uh, this sign all of a sudden at their camp that says, okay, read
[00:38:34] the sign.
[00:38:34] It says, okay, there's an advantage, but I kind of thought that there was going to be
[00:38:38] a little bit of like a moment of, oh, I can't believe that person went out to go look
[00:38:43] for the advantage.
[00:38:45] But Franny, it was a mad, uh, I'll hunt, uh, for everybody.
[00:38:51] Were you surprised that everybody was just so like, uh, nakedly open about, okay, we're
[00:38:57] all just going to go look for the thing.
[00:38:59] Yeah.
[00:39:00] I think that, um, I think that the reason people did that, the reason it makes sense to
[00:39:03] me is because it's so obvious.
[00:39:05] Like there's a sign.
[00:39:06] It kind of feels like you're supposed to, I was actually more surprised that they gave
[00:39:10] up so quickly and they sat down and just chit chatted.
[00:39:13] Um, it was like when you all had to look for the keys.
[00:39:17] Yes.
[00:39:17] Yeah.
[00:39:18] So it's like, you don't want to be the person who's sitting in the shelter.
[00:39:21] Yeah.
[00:39:22] Yeah.
[00:39:22] You'd be like Bruce, like, oh, I'm not going to go look for the money.
[00:39:26] Yeah.
[00:39:26] Yeah, exactly.
[00:39:27] Yeah.
[00:39:28] You don't want to be that person.
[00:39:29] What do I need to go waste the calories for?
[00:39:31] Yeah.
[00:39:32] Yeah.
[00:39:33] Speaking of Bruce that I was watching, uh, the episode with my kids and they were like,
[00:39:38] dad, isn't this the challenge that Bruce cracked his head open on?
[00:39:42] I was like, yeah, I think when, when, when they had to go like under the mud.
[00:39:47] Yes.
[00:39:48] Yeah.
[00:39:48] That really, that struck a nerve with your kids.
[00:39:51] I guess they really remembered that one.
[00:39:53] Um, yeah, it's dangerous.
[00:39:54] And actually that, uh, the, the one that they had to go under, it seemed really low.
[00:39:59] Like they had to submerge to go through.
[00:40:02] You kind of think that maybe they would like take that one out of circulation.
[00:40:06] Yeah.
[00:40:06] I mean, they, they had a pretty worst case scenario occur.
[00:40:10] Yeah.
[00:40:10] They were like, let's run it back a couple.
[00:40:12] You know what?
[00:40:13] They were like, but they like, uh, Hey, look, look how it turned out.
[00:40:17] Yeah.
[00:40:17] Yeah.
[00:40:18] They're like, Hey, give him a second chance.
[00:40:19] No harm.
[00:40:20] No foul.
[00:40:21] His head's fine.
[00:40:22] Look at him.
[00:40:22] Um, yeah, it's, it's dangerous.
[00:40:25] And it also, yeah.
[00:40:26] Very messy.
[00:40:27] Very viscous.
[00:40:28] Um, I remember, uh, Jeff said on on fire that they make the mud in house.
[00:40:31] Yeah.
[00:40:32] Um, yeah.
[00:40:33] I felt like they changed up the recipe a little bit.
[00:40:35] It was a little something different.
[00:40:37] Yeah.
[00:40:37] And it seemed thinner than, uh, yeah.
[00:40:40] Very thin.
[00:40:41] It's merge mud.
[00:40:42] Yeah.
[00:40:43] It's slightly different.
[00:40:44] Yeah.
[00:40:44] So they all go out and they're looking for the advantage.
[00:40:47] And there's this great moment where Genevieve and Sam spot the buoy and she's like,
[00:40:51] what about that?
[00:40:51] And he's like, ah, no, that's, that's there.
[00:40:54] That's, uh, I think I've seen that before.
[00:40:57] Sam has never even looked at that beach before.
[00:41:00] And he's like, that's your classic buoy.
[00:41:02] They got those everywhere.
[00:41:04] Yeah.
[00:41:05] In what world?
[00:41:06] Yeah.
[00:41:07] Um, I actually thought it was, uh, helpful for Genevieve that that was the moment in which
[00:41:12] she first saw this advantage that she like, obviously later goes back and retrieves because
[00:41:16] the fact that she and Sam very much discovered it together and wrote it off, um, makes it so
[00:41:21] that when she does go back and find it, it doesn't look like she's, oh wow.
[00:41:25] Genevieve is, you know, she's so sneaky.
[00:41:27] She's going out and she's searching more than the rest of us.
[00:41:29] Um, I think it helped her that, that she found it in a pair.
[00:41:33] It makes her seem less threatening.
[00:41:34] Yeah.
[00:41:35] And Genevieve ends up, she comes right back and she ends up telling everybody that she
[00:41:39] has the advantage and it's just like, it just says, okay, well tomorrow you have an advantage.
[00:41:43] So, uh, that, that's that.
[00:41:46] I feel like that this was overall a very good week for Genevieve.
[00:41:50] I do feel like that, you know, that, that, that image of her not being muddy, different
[00:41:56] than the rest of the cast is so striking.
[00:41:58] If she ends up winning the season, we'll go back and we'll like, uh, look at that picture
[00:42:02] and like, it was right there.
[00:42:04] It was right there.
[00:42:05] Everybody.
[00:42:05] So obvious.
[00:42:06] Everybody else was desaturated.
[00:42:08] She was the one person that was still in color and it was obvious they were telling us right
[00:42:12] away.
[00:42:12] But I also feel like that the, the Rome going, uh, out in this way, I think is a net positive
[00:42:20] for Genevieve.
[00:42:21] And I know that it sounds a little counterintuitive because that was her closest ally, but I think
[00:42:25] that Rome was going to potentially be an anchor for her.
[00:42:28] And now she's really free to play her own game.
[00:42:31] And now you can't teeny and Saul can't say Genevieve and Rome are like this.
[00:42:37] Yeah, absolutely.
[00:42:38] I think a lot of great things for Genevieve this week.
[00:42:40] I actually think it's great.
[00:42:41] And this is maybe coming from a chip on my shoulder.
[00:42:43] I think it's great that she didn't win the challenge because I think, like I said, there's
[00:42:47] such a visual difference between her and everyone else there.
[00:42:50] They're covered in mud.
[00:42:51] They're exhausted.
[00:42:52] She's coming in fresh as a daisy.
[00:42:54] I think if she had also won, now she has like all this exposure.
[00:42:59] It's really hard for her to like reduce her threat level and then move through the rest
[00:43:03] of the game.
[00:43:03] So I thought it was good that she was like, oh, oops, you know, I fell out too, just
[00:43:06] like the rest of you.
[00:43:07] And, um, she's interesting.
[00:43:09] I'm really excited to see where her game goes going forward because somebody said, I actually
[00:43:14] don't remember who it was.
[00:43:15] Somebody said in the episode tonight, um, that, uh, teeny is an interesting player because
[00:43:20] a lot of people want to work with her.
[00:43:21] Um, people are like gravitating towards her, which might make her threatening.
[00:43:25] Um, I feel like Genevieve might have that same quality, but people aren't saying that
[00:43:30] about Genevieve, which makes me feel like teeny is going to, I mean, I hope not because I love
[00:43:34] watching teeny, but I could see teeny, you know, sort of rising and falling.
[00:43:38] Whereas Genevieve is going on this slower trajectory before people realize that she's kind of in
[00:43:42] that same role.
[00:43:44] Yeah.
[00:43:44] I think that she might be in the most interesting spot of any player in going into this, uh,
[00:43:50] merge because I just don't know what her path is now.
[00:43:52] I don't think she's in danger.
[00:43:54] I think that she is, uh, has a really great social game and she has, uh, some really great
[00:43:59] strategic instincts also.
[00:44:01] So I think she's going to find her people and I think that she's going to be a real force.
[00:44:06] Yeah.
[00:44:07] Yeah.
[00:44:07] I'll tell you, um, Genevieve was my winner pick from the very beginning.
[00:44:10] What did you see?
[00:44:11] Yeah.
[00:44:13] Um, um, you know, uh, I thought she was really, really pretty, really did it for me.
[00:44:19] Um, it's true.
[00:44:21] That smile.
[00:44:22] It really got me.
[00:44:23] Um, yeah.
[00:44:24] Ever since the, uh, ever since the promo dropped for 47, I was like, who's that?
[00:44:29] Um, maybe I was drawn to the Canadian something.
[00:44:31] I don't know, but her, um, I was so disappointed the first two episodes when we didn't see her.
[00:44:35] I was like, where's my girl?
[00:44:36] And then she comes back.
[00:44:37] Now everyone loves her.
[00:44:38] I'm like, yeah, I've known this whole entire time.
[00:44:41] So I hope she wins.
[00:44:42] Yeah.
[00:44:42] I think she really has something.
[00:44:44] So I think that she's somebody, uh, who could do some damage here in the post merge.
[00:44:48] Now she was out looking for the advantage.
[00:44:50] And meanwhile, everybody else starts to like find some evidence of the red paint that fell
[00:45:00] on the floor.
[00:45:00] Now Sue, from before everybody even came, she said, oh, they're coming here to our camp.
[00:45:07] You know what that means?
[00:45:08] They're going to search my bag.
[00:45:10] Why?
[00:45:12] That was so funny.
[00:45:14] Since when?
[00:45:16] When?
[00:45:17] What is that?
[00:45:19] Like if they come to your camp, they search your bag.
[00:45:21] Everybody knows that.
[00:45:23] Yeah.
[00:45:23] It's part of the deal.
[00:45:24] They say, I got to go wash my idol off.
[00:45:26] They're going to go through my bag.
[00:45:28] Yeah.
[00:45:28] Well, it was also there.
[00:45:29] Yeah.
[00:45:30] It was a two pronged hilarious moment because it's like, Sue, why do you think that?
[00:45:34] But then also she just had like a paint covered thing in her bag this entire time.
[00:45:40] Like, wasn't that very messy?
[00:45:42] Like, I feel like her clothes, like everything has to be covered in paint.
[00:45:44] It's like that happened like five days ago.
[00:45:47] Yeah.
[00:45:47] No, I think it was a long time.
[00:45:49] Yeah.
[00:45:50] I love Sue watching her like go through this moment.
[00:45:53] I think that she doesn't like, uh, I think that others would have handled it differently
[00:45:57] and it would have been more like locked down, but I kind of love that she leaves this
[00:46:01] trail.
[00:46:01] Um, you know, this, I texted you.
[00:46:04] But I recently did a rewatch of ABC's Whodunit.
[00:46:07] Yes.
[00:46:08] And this felt like an episode of Whodunit.
[00:46:10] Yes.
[00:46:10] Perfect.
[00:46:11] Yes.
[00:46:11] Yeah.
[00:46:12] I didn't put two and two together.
[00:46:13] Yes.
[00:46:14] Yeah.
[00:46:14] It's very much like the splatter pattern.
[00:46:17] Can we, you know, triangulate?
[00:46:19] May unearth the clue is very Whodunit to me.
[00:46:22] I loved it.
[00:46:24] Rome.
[00:46:26] Yeah.
[00:46:27] Yes.
[00:46:28] Yeah.
[00:46:28] You are scared.
[00:46:30] Brr.
[00:46:31] That's the tree mail.
[00:46:32] Yeah.
[00:46:33] Yeah.
[00:46:34] Exactly.
[00:46:35] It's just scared and Rome goes.
[00:46:38] Um, yeah, that show is so good.
[00:46:40] If anybody hasn't seen it, um, so good on the rewatch.
[00:46:44] Um, yeah, but it did feel like a murder mystery.
[00:46:47] And I also loved, like, I found it a little odd that when, um, Tiana and Caroline ran into
[00:46:54] Sue with, uh, paint, blood, whatever, um, a couple episodes ago.
[00:46:59] She bit her tongue.
[00:47:00] She bit her tongue and then licked herself.
[00:47:05] Um, yeah, she handled that.
[00:47:06] So in such a funny way.
[00:47:08] Um, I was playing with the machete by the water.
[00:47:11] Well, as one does.
[00:47:13] Um, but I was surprised that they didn't like follow up on it more.
[00:47:17] I mean, they were suspicious enough to mention it in a confessional.
[00:47:19] They clearly noticed it, but, um, didn't seem like there was a ton of follow-ups.
[00:47:22] So I'm so glad we got that resolution.
[00:47:24] It was like very satisfying.
[00:47:26] I really liked, uh, how Caroline handled it.
[00:47:28] She's like, you know what?
[00:47:29] I put two and two together.
[00:47:31] Like, wow, Sue's really playing the game.
[00:47:32] I'm like, I'm not going to say anything about this.
[00:47:34] This is really good.
[00:47:35] Yeah.
[00:47:36] Yeah.
[00:47:36] Caroline goes, that Sue, that Sue.
[00:47:39] Yeah.
[00:47:39] Yeah.
[00:47:39] I was, I was very pleasantly surprised because I think for Caroline, it would be so easy
[00:47:45] to react very emotionally to that.
[00:47:47] Be like, you know, Sue got this idol.
[00:47:50] She didn't even tell me I'm her number one ally.
[00:47:52] Now I don't trust Sue.
[00:47:53] I love that Caroline was just like, I got you girl.
[00:47:57] There's no, there's no question about it.
[00:47:59] And I think that Caroline is really like, um, she seems to me very much, she describes
[00:48:04] herself as a, as a mother hen for her tribe.
[00:48:06] Like it really feels like she's trying to pull people in and get people to work together.
[00:48:10] She just did it with the amulet as well.
[00:48:12] Um, so this, like this very much aligns with like my perception of her as a player.
[00:48:16] Yeah.
[00:48:17] Yeah.
[00:48:18] I don't know if that's, I don't know if that will continue to work well for her.
[00:48:21] Cause at a point she said we should do something besides just cluster.
[00:48:24] She's a glue gal.
[00:48:25] Uh, we heard Sam say early on that he's the glue guy.
[00:48:28] Uh, I think Caroline is the glue gal because you have like sort of like these disparate
[00:48:32] people in this tribe.
[00:48:34] And really if there's one tribe that has the numbers, it's too cool.
[00:48:38] They only went to one, that one tribal council.
[00:48:40] And it seemed like that.
[00:48:41] Okay.
[00:48:41] All right.
[00:48:41] They're going to get to the merge and they're going to like throw Tiana overboard.
[00:48:45] She's trying to throw Gabe under the bus.
[00:48:48] And when they get to the merge, that's an easy one.
[00:48:51] That, that is not what happened tonight.
[00:48:53] Kyle is sort of like emerged as somebody who has some good social bonds.
[00:48:58] I think that he's an easy person to root for also, especially, uh, with his story and
[00:49:04] Rome tried to throw him under the bus and it sort of boomeranged back on Rome.
[00:49:08] And so this watch out here, this could be Tuku's post merge.
[00:49:15] This is what I'm saying.
[00:49:16] I actually felt this last week too, but Tuku feels to me like, um, uh, it feels like
[00:49:23] Ratu from my season.
[00:49:24] They have this insane early tribal.
[00:49:27] Um, it seems like they're very divided and they're going to have a lot of issues, but
[00:49:31] then when it comes to merge, they actually just work together the whole time.
[00:49:36] Um, I sort of see that happening for Tuku.
[00:49:38] Like they have these, these differences, but I don't think that any of those lines are so,
[00:49:44] um, sharp.
[00:49:45] I don't think that anybody has such a huge issue with it with another person that they're
[00:49:49] actually going to fracture based on that.
[00:49:50] I think that they're more interested in working together.
[00:49:53] The, I guess the exception there is Gabe.
[00:49:55] Like he seems to have, it was a pretty quiet episode for Gabe.
[00:49:57] Actually, I was a little surprised by that.
[00:49:59] Um, he talked about how that survivor, the pre-merge is elementary school.
[00:50:04] The post-merge is high school.
[00:50:06] I didn't take to that.
[00:50:08] Um, I feel like post-merge is like, you know, PhD, like give yourself a little more high school.
[00:50:15] Like, you know, hopefully.
[00:50:17] What's elementary school for a survivor?
[00:50:19] Casting?
[00:50:20] Yeah.
[00:50:21] Elementary school is casting.
[00:50:23] No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
[00:50:24] Casting is middle school, squarely middle school.
[00:50:27] Elementary school is when you're watching survivor and you're deciding that you want to apply.
[00:50:30] Casting is middle school.
[00:50:31] Cause you're awkward.
[00:50:32] And you're like, am I the worst at everything?
[00:50:34] And then you end up.
[00:50:35] Okay.
[00:50:36] Um, yeah.
[00:50:37] Uh, high school.
[00:50:39] And then you go to college.
[00:50:41] Exactly.
[00:50:42] That's it.
[00:50:42] Yeah.
[00:50:42] Cause because, because also, okay, let's, let's take this analogy a step further because elementary
[00:50:47] school, high school, you're very much following a prescribed path, right?
[00:50:50] Like you are taking the classes that you're being told to take.
[00:50:52] You are, you know, being a well-rounded educated person.
[00:50:55] University, you differentiate.
[00:50:58] You pick your own path.
[00:50:59] And that's the point in the game where you decide what your game is going to look like.
[00:51:02] You got to go off the rails a little bit.
[00:51:04] This is great, Franny.
[00:51:05] I love it.
[00:51:06] This is awesome.
[00:51:07] I love talking about school.
[00:51:08] That's why I'm so fired up about this.
[00:51:10] Full tilt boogie.
[00:51:12] Full tilt, full tilt boogie.
[00:51:14] Yeah.
[00:51:16] Yeah.
[00:51:17] Oh my gosh.
[00:51:17] I want to talk a little bit about Rachel.
[00:51:19] Rachel, uh, that she was sort of the focus of the opening of the episode and she was with
[00:51:25] Annika.
[00:51:26] And then ultimately, uh, she is there, uh, gets blindsided, uh, that Annika ends up going
[00:51:33] home.
[00:51:34] How do you think that Rachel handled this?
[00:51:37] And how do you think Rachel is set up here post merge?
[00:51:40] Yeah, I think Rachel set up incredibly well.
[00:51:43] Um, I like her a lot.
[00:51:45] I'm like really, really excited to see where her game goes.
[00:51:48] Um, I think that she handled that blindside super calmly.
[00:51:53] Um, I, I liked how, I don't remember exactly what she said, but I like how she reacted when
[00:51:57] they were talking about it in a full group, you know, saying like, I just want to understand,
[00:52:01] um, what happened.
[00:52:02] Like, I'm not upset.
[00:52:03] We're playing survivor.
[00:52:04] So I think that she is really portraying to the rest of Gata that she's willing to continue
[00:52:10] to work with them.
[00:52:10] Um, and, um, she was at the survivor social hour and she really made use of that time
[00:52:16] to make connections with teeny and with Caroline.
[00:52:18] Um, and she just like strikes me as somebody who will be willing to like go out and talk
[00:52:23] to a lot of different people.
[00:52:24] She won't be, um, stuck in the small box of Gata strong.
[00:52:28] We have to stick together.
[00:52:29] So I think that she could make a lot of things happen, uh, in this second stage of the game.
[00:52:34] Um, Franny.
[00:52:35] So now we had 13 people tonight and then now we're at 12.
[00:52:42] Are we headed into split tribal council next week?
[00:52:46] Oh gosh.
[00:52:47] I didn't even consider that.
[00:52:48] It didn't seem like it from the preview that they didn't mention it.
[00:52:52] They didn't say like, Oh, two people are going home tonight.
[00:52:54] But I mean, 12 has been when they've done this, the last couple of seasons, uh, your season,
[00:53:02] of course, uh, had the medical evacuations and then they ended up doing just a little bit
[00:53:08] different where I don't even want to talk about what happened because I'm still so upset.
[00:53:13] Yeah.
[00:53:13] You and me both brother.
[00:53:14] Let's not talk about it, but it does feel like that we are headed into, it would be a
[00:53:20] surprise if they didn't have the split tribal council.
[00:53:24] Yeah.
[00:53:25] Oh, that didn't occur to me until you said it.
[00:53:26] Um, I am cautiously optimistic that they will not because I was so pleased by, as I said
[00:53:32] earlier, the fact that, um, by eliminating the mergatory that we've seen before they've,
[00:53:37] you know, reinstated all these opportunities for the players.
[00:53:40] They have so much to choose from.
[00:53:42] And split tribal is another example of production, narrowing the possibilities, narrowing the
[00:53:48] options.
[00:53:48] Um, I, I understand why they do it because I think that, um, I think that it prevents,
[00:53:54] uh, some of like the huge pile on boats that you can have with a really big tribe.
[00:53:59] But I also think like, um, when you reduce the number of people who are available to be
[00:54:05] voted for, like the, the, the floor is lower for how boring the vote can be, but the ceiling
[00:54:12] is also lower for how exciting it can be.
[00:54:14] Like, you know, give the players the whole room and let them bounce around and see what
[00:54:18] happens.
[00:54:19] Um, so I'm, I'm going to cross my fingers that they're not going to do it.
[00:54:22] I hope they're not going to do it.
[00:54:23] Yeah.
[00:54:23] We'll see, you know, in the history of survivor, you know, there's not that many exciting final
[00:54:29] 12 votes.
[00:54:30] So I do understand why final 12, final 11, maybe you might want to just skip ahead and
[00:54:35] then get to final 10, but we'll see, uh, what they ultimately end up doing with that
[00:54:40] coming up next week.
[00:54:42] Franny, we've got a lot of questions here for you.
[00:54:45] And of course, if people in the chat want to submit their questions, uh, now is a great time
[00:54:50] to do so, but I want to make, uh, take a moment and mention that we have been working
[00:54:55] on something that I'm very proud of, Franny.
[00:54:57] All year long, we have been talking about how it has been 10 years since survivor Kageon
[00:55:04] came along and we have been working on the very first RHAP original documentary.
[00:55:11] It's called I stand Kageon.
[00:55:15] And, uh, we did a, uh, this, uh, a series of interviews.
[00:55:20] Uh, we talked with people from survivor Kageon, podcasters, survivor alumni, all to talk about
[00:55:29] one iconic season that not only changed a survivor franchise, but also built an online community
[00:55:37] around survivor.
[00:55:39] I stand Kageon, the world premiere on the, you can see is going to be on October 29th
[00:55:47] coming up.
[00:55:47] Uh, we are going to air this on the RJP YouTube channel, but I will be in Philadelphia the
[00:55:52] night before on October 28th for a special screening of I stand Kageon followed by Q and
[00:56:01] A not Q from survivor.
[00:56:03] Not Q.
[00:56:04] Who's A?
[00:56:05] Yeah.
[00:56:06] Q and A questions and answers.
[00:56:07] Questions and answers.
[00:56:08] Yeah.
[00:56:09] So if, uh, people want to be there with us, uh, for that with an after party to follow,
[00:56:15] you can go to robinswebsite.com slash Kageon screening.
[00:56:19] And then for everybody else, you can watch this when it drops on October 29th at 7 PM here
[00:56:26] on the RHAP YouTube.
[00:56:28] I'm very excited about that.
[00:56:29] They came out really, really fun.
[00:56:31] And it's in the style of the frame.
[00:56:33] I don't know if you're old enough to remember the, I love the nineties.
[00:56:37] I love the two thousands.
[00:56:38] I love the eighties.
[00:56:40] I love the 2010s.
[00:56:43] Yeah.
[00:56:43] Yeah.
[00:56:43] I wasn't around for that.
[00:56:46] Um, but it sounds great.
[00:56:48] Um, yeah, I, I'm excited.
[00:56:51] I, uh, screaming and cursing when you watch it.
[00:57:20] Um, yeah, I hope so.
[00:57:24] Then six years later during COVID they put on, they put it on Netflix and then a whole
[00:57:29] new generation found survivor Kageon and said, Hey, I'm going to start watching the show every
[00:57:33] week.
[00:57:34] Yeah, no, no, no, no.
[00:57:35] So I, I watched it in 2014.
[00:57:37] Um, I think it was maybe the same year as whodunit.
[00:57:39] It was big year.
[00:57:40] 2013 I think it was whodunit, but it was maybe a calendar year.
[00:57:43] Yeah.
[00:57:44] Yeah.
[00:57:45] Yeah.
[00:57:45] Big, big time.
[00:57:46] Um, yeah.
[00:57:46] So I, um, I didn't watch much TV.
[00:57:50] We didn't have, we didn't have cable.
[00:57:52] So I, uh, really liked, uh, like PBS kids, you know, PBS cartoons.
[00:57:57] Um, and I would watch them after school and I watched them a little too long.
[00:58:03] Like I knew that I was too old to be watching like, you know, rough with rough rough men,
[00:58:07] but I was, um, and one day I decided that I really needed to expand my horizons.
[00:58:13] And so I was flipping through channels and I landed on the second episode of survivor
[00:58:17] Kageon.
[00:58:18] And I was like, what is going on?
[00:58:20] What is this?
[00:58:20] And I was enchanted.
[00:58:23] It was, it was immediately, uh, enthralling to me.
[00:58:26] And then I have not stopped since I actually, Oh my God.
[00:58:30] So, um, so, um, the, uh, Kageon ended, um, around when there was some dance at my school.
[00:58:37] Okay.
[00:58:37] Um, like the day after or like a couple of days after the finale of Kageon, um, homecoming
[00:58:43] or something.
[00:58:43] And, uh, I recorded on tape, uh, finale of Kageon, but I somehow the recording ended like
[00:58:53] a couple of minutes before the winner was actually announced.
[00:58:57] And I didn't know how to access, like, I don't know if even people were talking on Twitter
[00:59:00] at that time.
[00:59:00] I didn't, I didn't know how to find out.
[00:59:02] They were talking on Twitter at that time.
[00:59:04] Okay.
[00:59:04] Yeah.
[00:59:05] I had, I had not yet, you know, discovered the gem that is Twitter, but, um, I was so
[00:59:10] distraught when I realized that I didn't know who won because the recording ended that
[00:59:13] I, I fell to my knees on my living room floor and I, I got rug burn on both of my knees
[00:59:20] and I had to go to my dance.
[00:59:22] Like doing the warped wall.
[00:59:23] Like doing the warped wall.
[00:59:24] And I had to go to my dance, my school dance with giant patch band-aids on both of my knees
[00:59:29] because I, I had skinned the crap out of my knees.
[00:59:33] That's a conversation starter.
[00:59:35] Yeah, that's yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:59:37] It was, um, it was good.
[00:59:39] It wasn't good.
[00:59:40] It didn't help my dancing and I, I, I didn't have a date.
[00:59:42] So it didn't help that, but, uh, helped my love for survivor.
[00:59:45] And that's what's important.
[00:59:46] Yeah.
[00:59:46] Look at you now.
[00:59:48] Look at me now.
[00:59:49] Changed everything.
[00:59:49] Yeah, exactly.
[00:59:50] Okay.
[00:59:51] Uh, your friend of mine, Owen Knight says, uh, from Dalton Ross's article, Jeff said that
[00:59:56] Andy was the last pick in the schoolyard pick.
[01:00:00] Oh, come on.
[01:00:03] Oh no.
[01:00:04] But like, if you don't pick it, like Andy's the perfect person to be last.
[01:00:09] How did they not show that?
[01:00:10] How did they not show that?
[01:00:11] They should have shown it.
[01:00:11] Well, now he's definitely going to feel, I mean, he hasn't, he's got a lot of little
[01:00:15] tidbits to feel concerned about for next week.
[01:00:18] Right.
[01:00:18] There's a lot of, a lot of breadcrumbs that could lead to feral Andy making an appearance.
[01:00:22] Um, that's a little sad.
[01:00:24] That's a shame.
[01:00:25] Yeah.
[01:00:25] Okay.
[01:00:26] All right.
[01:00:26] How about, um, Hmm.
[01:00:29] Let's see.
[01:00:30] Oh, uh, Sifu, uh, was in the chat.
[01:00:33] Sifu said this was a good wife.
[01:00:34] Season 47 is actually unfolding.
[01:00:36] Well, what up Robin Franny?
[01:00:39] Oh my God.
[01:00:40] What up Sifu?
[01:00:41] All the stars are out tonight.
[01:00:43] That is so great.
[01:00:44] It's all my favorite people.
[01:00:45] Yep.
[01:00:46] Okay.
[01:00:46] Thundercats wants to know, did Sue out Hinky Rome's Hinky vote by voting for Andy?
[01:00:52] They might assume Rachel threw a vote on Sam or Andy and Sue won't be suspected at all.
[01:00:57] I do think there's going to be a lot.
[01:00:59] Uh, you thought that they were trying to figure out the mystery of the broken pot.
[01:01:04] Wait till they try to figure out the mystery of the votes.
[01:01:07] Yeah.
[01:01:08] The, yeah.
[01:01:08] The mystery of the Hinky vote sounds like a Nancy Drew book.
[01:01:11] It's, it's, it's going to be really, really crazy next week because I genuinely think that,
[01:01:16] um, Sam and Andy and Sierra, whoever, whoever cares about the fact that Sam got a vote thrown
[01:01:22] on him, um, I don't think they will buy that Rome did it.
[01:01:27] Like, I think that they will assume that somebody remaining on the tribe is, is lying about it.
[01:01:32] Yeah.
[01:01:32] Um, yeah.
[01:01:33] I think it's going to really sow some dissension.
[01:01:36] Actually, I don't know if I understand why Sue did that.
[01:01:39] I don't know why you didn't even know that it was her.
[01:01:42] So yeah, I didn't, I'm trying to even think of why it would be, uh, for, for Andy and maybe
[01:01:49] she was just so concerned that, okay, well, like if, if Rome does have something is one
[01:01:54] vote going to be enough?
[01:01:55] Like what if somebody throws a Hinky vote on me?
[01:01:58] Yeah.
[01:01:59] Yeah.
[01:01:59] I could see that wanting to just, like, what does one thing like that?
[01:02:04] Anybody else could just throw another vote on somebody.
[01:02:07] So like might as well throw two votes on Andy.
[01:02:11] Yeah.
[01:02:11] It's like takes two to tango takes two to Hinky.
[01:02:13] You can't, you know, you can't have just one.
[01:02:16] I see that.
[01:02:17] And there's so many votes going on Rome.
[01:02:19] That it doesn't feel like it's going to be an issue.
[01:02:22] And certainly for the people that Sue is like aligned with, I don't think that they'll
[01:02:25] be upset with her for this.
[01:02:27] This is a great question from Paolo from Edmonton.
[01:02:30] Did they buy the immunity necklace from spirit Halloween?
[01:02:34] Oh my God.
[01:02:36] It was, it, it, it is a, it is a corpse of a bat.
[01:02:41] A giant bat.
[01:02:43] A really big bat.
[01:02:45] Yeah.
[01:02:46] It was so Halloweeny.
[01:02:48] Um, yeah.
[01:02:50] I didn't know what to make of it.
[01:02:51] This whole season.
[01:02:52] Uh, is that what they're going for?
[01:02:54] Fall season?
[01:02:55] It's spooky, scary.
[01:02:58] Right.
[01:03:01] It is.
[01:03:02] It's spooky, scary.
[01:03:03] Yeah.
[01:03:04] Um, well they also have the bats.
[01:03:04] The whole theme is spooky, scary.
[01:03:06] In the promo, they have the bats.
[01:03:07] They have a flock of bats.
[01:03:09] Yeah.
[01:03:09] Um, people look up at them.
[01:03:11] Uh, yeah, I know this, this season couldn't have aired in the spring.
[01:03:14] Like they had to have thought that this, this, they'd have thought it through.
[01:03:18] Yeah.
[01:03:18] I loved it.
[01:03:19] I'm, I am deeply entrenched in spooky season this year.
[01:03:22] Yes.
[01:03:22] How so?
[01:03:23] Do you have a costume yet?
[01:03:25] Oh my God.
[01:03:26] Yes.
[01:03:27] Rob, do you, um, engage, you have so much TV that you need to watch, but are you watching
[01:03:31] Marvel's Agatha all along?
[01:03:33] No, I'm watching, uh, the Menendez brothers.
[01:03:37] Oh, that's what I was going to go as for Halloween.
[01:03:41] Both of them.
[01:03:42] Uh, I needed another Menendez bro.
[01:03:44] Uh, yeah.
[01:03:45] Yeah.
[01:03:46] If I was in town, I would.
[01:03:48] I have like a, you know, a cardigan that I was going to tie around my neck and then.
[01:03:52] Yeah.
[01:03:53] Yeah.
[01:03:54] Get some blood or something.
[01:03:55] Wear a Speedo.
[01:03:56] Yeah.
[01:03:56] Wear a Speedo.
[01:03:57] That's perfect.
[01:03:58] Um, everyone will know who you are.
[01:04:00] It'll be really clear.
[01:04:01] Um, yeah.
[01:04:02] So, so, uh, Agatha all along is a, you know, show right now on Disney plus Marvel show.
[01:04:07] Um, and I am going to be Agatha Harkness, the witch and Matt is going to be, um, Joe
[01:04:12] Locke's character, the teen.
[01:04:14] Um, which if you're not going to be a kid, you're going to be a kid.
[01:04:16] If you're not watching, probably doesn't mean much to you, but anybody who is, uh, you
[01:04:19] know, they'll, they'll know.
[01:04:20] Actually, I'm yeah.
[01:04:21] This, oh, Agatha all along airs on Wednesdays.
[01:04:24] So Wednesday, which is already the best day of the week has become like the most insane
[01:04:28] day ever.
[01:04:30] And, and for the, the little intersection of people who are watching both of these shows,
[01:04:33] like we've been having the best weeks of our lives.
[01:04:36] Um, yeah, it's really fun.
[01:04:38] Yeah.
[01:04:38] Well, next week is going to be exciting.
[01:04:39] That is going to be Halloween Thursday.
[01:04:42] So, uh, next week's exit interview and know-it-alls is going to be on Halloween.
[01:04:46] I wonder if Steven will be wearing a costume.
[01:04:50] Oh, will you be wearing a costume?
[01:04:52] I have to.
[01:04:53] Just the speedo.
[01:04:54] We won't see it, but you will be wearing the speedo actually.
[01:04:57] Yes.
[01:04:58] Yes.
[01:04:58] Don't stand up.
[01:04:59] Okay.
[01:05:00] Yeah.
[01:05:00] Okay.
[01:05:00] I don't want to like the ratings, uh, to, uh, you know, be TVMA.
[01:05:06] Okay.
[01:05:06] Yeah.
[01:05:07] Yeah.
[01:05:07] Yeah.
[01:05:07] Yeah.
[01:05:07] I'll see if Steven wants to be the other Menendez bro with me.
[01:05:10] Yes.
[01:05:11] Okay.
[01:05:11] That's a good one.
[01:05:12] All right.
[01:05:13] How about, um, Addison wants to know, how do you think that Sam will respond to receiving
[01:05:18] a vote?
[01:05:19] We know that Rome was causing chaos.
[01:05:21] Uh, but do you think that that will be the, the chaos?
[01:05:24] Will Rome cause some chaos, uh, even after he's gone?
[01:05:29] I don't think that Sam will be outwardly upset or chaotic.
[01:05:34] I think that he is like social and savvy enough to understand that he needs to keep it contained.
[01:05:39] But I think inside that shell, he will be freaking out.
[01:05:43] Like, I think that he, like, like we said, he sees himself as the glue guy and he's been
[01:05:47] in a position of relative power this whole game.
[01:05:49] And I think that that will really freak him out.
[01:05:51] Um, and, and I think that he will be really interested in, um, making like a cross tribal
[01:05:59] alliance, getting people on his side, uh, next week.
[01:06:02] It's going to be interesting.
[01:06:03] I do feel like that there is a little bit of a gender divide going on, uh, with this
[01:06:08] group.
[01:06:08] I feel like that it seems like the women are, and, and I think that the women, uh, outnumber
[01:06:13] the men, I feel like that there is some momentum there to potentially, uh, you know, I don't
[01:06:18] know if that's ultimately like what's going to be the story of the post merge, but it does
[01:06:23] feel like that there's maybe some momentum building towards, we saw Caroline and Rachel
[01:06:28] and teeny and talking about that maybe, and obviously, uh, Sue, uh, could be part of that.
[01:06:34] Genevieve is looking for something.
[01:06:35] So at least like the specter, uh, and that, and sometimes it's just the specter of the
[01:06:41] women's Alliance can cause the guys to do all sorts of crazy things.
[01:06:45] Yeah.
[01:06:45] The specter is more than enough.
[01:06:47] Um, I think we had teeny on the next time on saying we're going to eat the men.
[01:06:51] Um, I mean, it'll be a perfect Halloween night.
[01:06:56] Yeah.
[01:06:57] Yeah.
[01:06:57] It'll be very spooky, scary.
[01:06:59] Um, yeah, no, no prosciutto next week, just the men for reward.
[01:07:03] Yeah.
[01:07:03] Um, did teeny get drunk at the, uh, merge feast?
[01:07:07] I think so for sure.
[01:07:09] Um, yeah, I, uh, uh, I think she deserved to have a little fun.
[01:07:14] She's had a crazy, crazy.
[01:07:15] A wild couple of days.
[01:07:16] A couple of weeks.
[01:07:17] Yeah.
[01:07:17] How was that merge feast, uh, compared to the merge feast that you had?
[01:07:22] Um, oh, I think it was the exact same thing.
[01:07:24] It was charcuterie.
[01:07:25] Yeah.
[01:07:26] Which is honestly really, really good.
[01:07:27] Really, really good.
[01:07:28] Uh, now I personally am not a big charcuterie guy.
[01:07:31] It did come up, uh, I know you're not a, uh, a big brother gal, correct?
[01:07:37] Uh, it did come up prominently in this last season of big brother.
[01:07:40] I just feel like that, uh, the, the meat, the fatty meats scene and the cheese seems like,
[01:07:48] uh, you know, a recipe for disaster.
[01:07:50] Yeah.
[01:07:51] Yeah.
[01:07:51] I was actually thinking about this during, um, the show because, um, from a calorie perspective,
[01:07:57] uh, the show's really doing them a favor because, uh, it's really, it's really calorie
[01:08:01] dense.
[01:08:02] Calorically dense.
[01:08:03] Yeah.
[01:08:03] Incredibly calorically dense.
[01:08:05] Yes.
[01:08:05] Um, they also had nuts, cashews.
[01:08:07] If you've never looked into it, shockingly calorically dense, you wouldn't believe how many
[01:08:10] calories are in cashews.
[01:08:12] Um, um, if I knew off the top of my head, I would tell you, but I'll just tell you there
[01:08:16] it's a lot.
[01:08:17] Um, so from that standpoint, it's good, but yeah, on the stomach, I think, but it's not
[01:08:20] a lot of carbs.
[01:08:21] Uh, it's like a lot of like, uh, yeah, it's a little bit.
[01:08:26] Yeah.
[01:08:26] They had bread.
[01:08:27] Um, I think that, um, you know, their bodies are so starved that, um, the, you know, they
[01:08:36] don't need bread.
[01:08:36] They just need as many calories as they can get.
[01:08:38] And breadsticks though, though I'm sure that they had some yakkers from that.
[01:08:43] Yeah.
[01:08:44] Sam said, I'm going to get sick.
[01:08:45] He also said that he's tried pineapple and guess what?
[01:08:47] Breaking news.
[01:08:48] He's a pineapple guy.
[01:08:50] Sam is the most pineapple guy ever.
[01:08:54] It's crazy that he tried a pineapple for the first time on the show.
[01:08:57] Like he screams pineapple.
[01:09:00] Um, yeah, he looks like a dude who would like alone in his dorm room eat pineapple cubes.
[01:09:05] Um, so he does wear a bright yellow shirt.
[01:09:08] That's probably why I'm thinking this.
[01:09:11] It's actually just a conversation.
[01:09:13] And Party Rock says, as breaking up Sam and Sierra next, there's so much pre-merge speculation
[01:09:17] about them.
[01:09:18] I'd have to imagine that they're the new target.
[01:09:20] I mean, Franny, you wouldn't know anything about people trying to break up a guy and a
[01:09:24] gal that are working together, right?
[01:09:27] Not familiar to me.
[01:09:28] No.
[01:09:29] You've not heard that story?
[01:09:30] Yes.
[01:09:31] No, no.
[01:09:31] I've heard this tale before.
[01:09:33] Um, yeah, I, uh, I think that that will be an issue.
[01:09:38] Um, I think that, like I said, there's sort of this like, um, moment of breaking open when
[01:09:43] somebody has a vote put on them.
[01:09:45] Um, even if it's just as a decoy.
[01:09:47] So the fact that like Rome put Sam's name on parchment, people saw Jeff read it.
[01:09:52] It puts his name in people's minds in a way that it may not have been before.
[01:09:57] Um, and why is that?
[01:10:00] Um, I think that, uh, even though you're all living together, you're all staring at each
[01:10:05] other every day.
[01:10:06] It's really easy for some people to hide.
[01:10:08] Um, you kind of just like forget the, I don't want to say I forget that.
[01:10:14] Yeah.
[01:10:15] But is there like an air of invincibility around people that haven't gotten a vote?
[01:10:19] And then once the seal is broke, that's like, oh yeah.
[01:10:23] Okay.
[01:10:23] You can get votes.
[01:10:25] Yeah.
[01:10:25] Well, it's like, it kind of doesn't occur to you.
[01:10:27] And then suddenly you're like, whoa, I could vote for Sam.
[01:10:30] Somebody did it.
[01:10:31] I could vote for Sam.
[01:10:32] Um, yeah, it's, uh, it's an interesting dynamic.
[01:10:35] I think it just like, it puts the name on the table.
[01:10:38] And once it has been put on the table, it might sit on the table for, you know, the rest
[01:10:42] of the rest of the show, but it can't be removed.
[01:10:44] Who do you think is more likely to be targeted?
[01:10:47] Sam or Sierra?
[01:10:50] Um, I think Sam, because I think that, uh, I think that Sam, uh, was already mentioned
[01:10:57] this week as a big threat.
[01:10:59] We had this conversation with Roman Kyle.
[01:11:01] Clearly that conversation didn't go so well and blew up in a lot of ways, but, um, they
[01:11:05] did both agree that Sam was the biggest threat of the men.
[01:11:08] Um, I think that he seems like somebody who could be a physical threat.
[01:11:11] I think that his like glue guy shtick is accurate, but also like really obvious.
[01:11:16] Like it's, it's obvious that he thinks he's the glue guy.
[01:11:20] And like, there's a point where you actually don't want to be the glue guy because then
[01:11:23] everybody likes you and you've become a threat.
[01:11:25] So, um, I think that he, he's just, he's just like a bigger target than Sierra at this
[01:11:31] point.
[01:11:31] And especially if there is, um, either like specter or reality of, of a women's alliance,
[01:11:36] um, people might be more inclined to like work with Sierra and keep her around if they want
[01:11:41] that option.
[01:11:42] Right.
[01:11:42] Franny, anything else on your mind about survivor 47?
[01:11:46] Oh man.
[01:11:48] Um, I've just had so much fun with this season.
[01:11:51] Um, I was trying to figure out what it was and I think this is the first season, um, since
[01:11:57] 43 where I haven't like met the majority of the people, like almost even before the season
[01:12:03] starts.
[01:12:03] Like I, I've certainly, I've met some of them.
[01:12:06] Um, some of the people that I've met and I really liked are no longer, no longer in
[01:12:09] the show.
[01:12:10] So that's sad.
[01:12:10] Um, but I think that I feel this separation, um, and that separation is allowing me to view
[01:12:18] them as characters again.
[01:12:20] Um, and allowing me to be more, you know, maybe more judgmental of the things that they
[01:12:25] do, but also like really excited when they make really good moves.
[01:12:28] Um, and I, there's just something different about feeling like you're watching your friends,
[01:12:32] like, you know, they're your friends, you support them no matter what, like you're,
[01:12:35] you're excited about their highs, but you're, you stick with them through their lows.
[01:12:38] Um, when you're watching characters on TV, you're like, you stink.
[01:12:42] Um, and I, you know, that's the experience.
[01:12:46] Yeah.
[01:12:46] That's the fun.
[01:12:47] Yeah.
[01:12:47] And so I, um, I have enjoyed that separation, um, and, and really just like purely watching
[01:12:54] as a fan again.
[01:12:54] Um, it's been so much fun.
[01:12:56] So I'm, I cannot wait to see where it goes next.
[01:12:59] Okay.
[01:12:59] Well, Franny, uh, you've done such an incredible job.
[01:13:04] Uh, it's not just me, uh, relevant moose says Franny has been amazing on the podcast.
[01:13:10] Oh my God.
[01:13:12] Check this out.
[01:13:12] Uh, from wild west.
[01:13:16] You got a new fan after tonight's pod.
[01:13:19] Wow.
[01:13:19] I feel like I'm doing well with the, like, Florida.
[01:13:21] One of the best in the game.
[01:13:22] Brandi Donland says she's a star.
[01:13:26] Oh my God.
[01:13:27] Stop.
[01:13:28] Stop.
[01:13:28] My head.
[01:13:29] Yes.
[01:13:29] Steven says Franny was the best part of 44 and even greater podcast guest.
[01:13:35] Oh my God.
[01:13:36] Somebody paying these people under the table to comment.
[01:13:38] Franny's the best.
[01:13:40] Oh my God.
[01:13:41] Thanks.
[01:13:43] Yes.
[01:13:45] And we missed you at the live show.
[01:13:46] I know you said you don't want to see too many of the comments, but you know, Hey,
[01:13:50] Oh man.
[01:13:51] I miss going to the live show.
[01:13:53] Yeah.
[01:13:53] You got to share.
[01:13:53] I, yeah, man.
[01:13:54] I'm so, I, I just got to take a moment to appreciate you for, um, all that you do and,
[01:14:00] uh, having those events like the live show, like they're so much fun.
[01:14:03] It's such a like crucible for survivor excitement and knowledge and joy.
[01:14:09] We're going to put that on the poster for the next one, Franny.
[01:14:12] Crucible for survivor excitement and fun.
[01:14:15] Yes.
[01:14:15] Okay.
[01:14:15] Well, if anybody missed it last week, uh, that I'm so proud of the, uh, the job that we
[01:14:21] did getting out the video for this one, uh, we worked with a great, with a great new videographer,
[01:14:29] multiple camera angles here on this one.
[01:14:32] So if you want to check out all the fun that we had, uh, over two dozen survivors on the
[01:14:39] stage with us, uh, in New York city last week, uh, very, very fun.
[01:14:44] If you want to go back and check that out at our YouTube channel, robin's website.com
[01:14:48] slash YouTube.
[01:14:50] Then of course, everything in our survivor podcast feed, including not just everything,
[01:14:55] uh, current about survivor going on at, we know survivor.com.
[01:15:00] You can also check out Josh Wigler and I are also now for any, when you started following
[01:15:05] survivor Cagayan, did you stick around for survivor San Juan del Sur?
[01:15:10] So here's the craziest thing in the world.
[01:15:12] So I, I started watching survivor Cagayan.
[01:15:14] I was like, this show is insane.
[01:15:15] I can't believe I've never heard of it.
[01:15:16] I love it.
[01:15:17] And then next season, San Juan del Sur, lo and behold, Reed Kelly went to my high school.
[01:15:23] Wow.
[01:15:25] So I was watching the next season of the show and I was like, Holy crap.
[01:15:29] That guy probably, he could have had the same locker as me.
[01:15:33] Like, and I was watching it while I was in high school.
[01:15:35] And I think that that is what set the seed that led me to eventually believe that I could
[01:15:39] apply and be on the show.
[01:15:40] Cause it felt so real.
[01:15:41] I was like, that person was amazing.
[01:15:42] Now he's there.
[01:15:44] Yeah.
[01:15:44] This is my origin story.
[01:15:46] Yeah.
[01:15:46] I mean, this is what they should have flashed back to this on the show.
[01:15:51] Yeah.
[01:15:51] Where was my like poker table style flashback to me skinning my knees during the finale of
[01:15:56] survivor Cagayan.
[01:15:57] I don't know why they didn't show that though.
[01:15:59] I will say, um, and I'm going to call out my high school.
[01:16:02] Um, they have this like huge, like plaque of Reed and how exciting and special he is
[01:16:07] because he's on Broadway and on TV.
[01:16:09] No plaque for me.
[01:16:11] Okay.
[01:16:11] I didn't make it right.
[01:16:12] I didn't get a plaque.
[01:16:13] My mom's the principal of the school.
[01:16:15] And I said, she's principal.
[01:16:16] They would have thought it was a Nepo plaque.
[01:16:19] Nepo plaque.
[01:16:19] But, but I said like your first act, your first big act as principal should be to get
[01:16:23] me a plaque because it's a little, it's a little awkward that I don't have one.
[01:16:26] Um, yeah.
[01:16:28] So that's, that's my, that's my agenda going forward.
[01:16:31] Yeah.
[01:16:32] Yes.
[01:16:32] Yes.
[01:16:33] I need to be like, Gabe, I want my survivor legacy etched in stone.
[01:16:36] Okay.
[01:16:37] Don't settle for less.
[01:16:38] Yes.
[01:16:38] One of the faces of the Mount Rushmore of your high school.
[01:16:41] Yes.
[01:16:43] There's not a lot.
[01:16:44] Actually, actually the, my high school, just like the briefest of tidbits, um, weirdly
[01:16:49] high, uh, numbers of, of children that go on reality TV because we had myself read.
[01:16:54] Um, uh, there's a pair of twins that went on some dance competition.
[01:16:59] Um, and then, uh, uh, kids baking competition.
[01:17:03] The winner of kids baking competition also went to my high school.
[01:17:07] The daughter of my math teacher.
[01:17:09] What's it called?
[01:17:11] Hill Murray.
[01:17:12] No, I mean the kids baking competition.
[01:17:15] Like it's not, that's not the name of it.
[01:17:16] Right.
[01:17:17] They didn't like optimize for SEO.
[01:17:19] That's fine.
[01:17:20] That's the name.
[01:17:20] I'm sorry.
[01:17:21] That's the name of my high school.
[01:17:23] Um, you didn't want to know that about the address.
[01:17:25] Um, no, I think it's literally called kids baking show.
[01:17:29] Was that on PBS also?
[01:17:31] No, yeah.
[01:17:32] That aired right after fetch with rough rough men.
[01:17:35] Um, I, this is a real, and it was a big deal.
[01:17:38] It was a baking show.
[01:17:39] Not like master chef junior.
[01:17:42] It's no, no, no.
[01:17:43] It's on food network.
[01:17:44] It's called, it's called kids baking championship.
[01:17:47] It was a big deal.
[01:17:48] Okay.
[01:17:49] Yeah.
[01:17:49] Page, page gainer.
[01:17:51] She killed it.
[01:17:51] Okay.
[01:17:52] There you go.
[01:17:53] All right.
[01:17:54] Uh, no relation to Mariah gainer.
[01:17:57] No relation to Mariah gainer.
[01:17:59] No.
[01:18:00] Yes.
[01:18:00] Uh, shout out to our last mergatory boot.
[01:18:04] Oh yes.
[01:18:05] It all comes full circle.
[01:18:06] It all comes full circle.
[01:18:07] Yeah.
[01:18:07] Anyway, that's why they pay you the big bucks.
[01:18:09] Speaking of full circle, Survivor San Juan del Sur was also 10 years ago.
[01:18:16] And so Josh Wigler.
[01:18:18] Sorry, you were trying to do your clothes out.
[01:18:20] I really took us off the wheel.
[01:18:21] No, we're having, we're having a great time.
[01:18:22] Josh Wigler and I have been going through, uh, and this past week, it was 10 years ago,
[01:18:26] uh, on Tuesday, Kelly Wentworth got voted out of Survivor San Juan del Sur.
[01:18:30] We talked about all of that in each week.
[01:18:33] We are commemorating the 10 year anniversary of San Juan del Sur talking about that week's
[01:18:37] episode.
[01:18:38] You can find that more at we know survivor.com.
[01:18:41] You don't watch the summit, do you?
[01:18:43] And did anybody from your high school go on the summit?
[01:18:47] Um, not yet.
[01:18:48] Uh, I have watched bits and pieces of the summit.
[01:18:51] Um, I've heard that episode two is an absolute doozy.
[01:18:54] A banger.
[01:18:54] Um, yes, a banger.
[01:18:56] So I haven't made my way to it yet, but I think it's on the watch list.
[01:18:59] It's going to happen.
[01:19:00] All right.
[01:19:00] A new episode of the summit aired tonight.
[01:19:02] Lots of sneak previews during survivor Chappelle and Taryn Armstrong are breaking down the summit
[01:19:07] in our, we know reality TV feed.
[01:19:10] Uh, you can, uh, catch that when you subscribe at, we know reality tv.com.
[01:19:16] Then love is blind.
[01:19:17] You don't watch this.
[01:19:18] Love is blind, right?
[01:19:18] Even though you met your significant other on reality TV, but not, not in a pod.
[01:19:24] There's a, yeah, I would have, despite, you know, being a person who fell in love on,
[01:19:30] on a TV show, I, I would never have done this.
[01:19:33] Yes.
[01:19:34] There's a difference.
[01:19:35] Yeah.
[01:19:35] I'm not, I'm not a viewer, but I can be an appreciator.
[01:19:38] Not in a pod at Poderosa.
[01:19:41] Poderosa.
[01:19:42] Yeah.
[01:19:42] Yeah.
[01:19:43] Um, yeah.
[01:19:43] I prefer to see my, uh, perspective lovers.
[01:19:47] May they be covered in mud, birthed into the game, whatever they may be.
[01:19:50] I like to really like to look them in the eye, you know, um, it's a different approach
[01:19:54] to love.
[01:19:56] Um, but they seem to have figured it out.
[01:19:58] Okay.
[01:19:58] Well, uh, you won't want to miss the season seven finale when survivor zone, uh, Asia
[01:20:04] Welsh and America talk about love is blind season seven finale.
[01:20:11] Okay.
[01:20:11] And then over on the golden bachelorette, America tells all America caught up with Marianne last
[01:20:19] week, the recap episode five, uh, America will have a new episode of recapping the golden
[01:20:24] bachelorette when you go to America tells all.com.
[01:20:29] And then on Friday, I'll be live with the patrons taking a questions for a couple of hours
[01:20:34] on Friday afternoon.
[01:20:35] We go through, uh, everything that, that you all are thinking at home and we'll answer your
[01:20:41] questions live, uh, for the patrons at 3 PM Eastern on Friday.
[01:20:46] So there you go.
[01:20:48] That's it.
[01:20:48] Rob's website.com slash patron Frannie, what's coming up for you?
[01:20:52] Oh gosh.
[01:20:53] What is coming up for me?
[01:20:54] Um, well, uh, I am, uh, potentially looking to apply for PhD programs this fall.
[01:21:00] So yeah, so that's a little intimidating.
[01:21:04] Um, I'm quick and in my boots, but I'm also very excited about it.
[01:21:07] Um, the prospect of going back to school is very fun to me.
[01:21:11] Um, I also need a new physical challenge now that I've run a marathon.
[01:21:15] I definitely like came back from survivor and was like, oh, I guess I'm a jock now and
[01:21:21] athlete.
[01:21:21] It's like, you get to engage, engage physically.
[01:21:24] Um, so I've been playing, uh, like adult rec volleyball.
[01:21:27] Um, I'm going to pick that back up too, but I need to come up with my next challenge.
[01:21:31] Did you play that at any level previously?
[01:21:34] Um, I stopped playing volleyball, um, sophomore year of high school, actually right around
[01:21:38] the time I started watching survivor, um, to do musical theater and stuff.
[01:21:42] Actually.
[01:21:43] Oh, a moment that I wanted to mention from the episode that absolutely cheesed me.
[01:21:46] I thought it was so funny when, um, Teenie and Sam realized that they played the same role
[01:21:50] in a show.
[01:21:51] Mike TV.
[01:21:52] Mike TV, which of course they were both Mike TV.
[01:21:55] Like it makes perfect sense.
[01:21:56] Um, I had that same moment with Kane Fritzler.
[01:21:58] He and I both played nicely, nicely Johnson in guys and dolls.
[01:22:02] Wow.
[01:22:03] So watch that connection.
[01:22:04] That could be big.
[01:22:05] Okay.
[01:22:06] Did you like do the part and trade lines back and forth?
[01:22:11] Um, so once we got to Ponderosa, we did a karaoke night with Matt and, uh, Brandon Cotton.
[01:22:17] And we, uh, we did do sit down, you're rocking the boat.
[01:22:20] Um, really brought the house down with that one.
[01:22:23] Yeah.
[01:22:23] Actually Brandon Cotton, uh, and Matt saying part of your world and Brandon Cotton did
[01:22:29] just, uh, uh, uh, you know, beautiful, um, Jasmine.
[01:22:33] Really?
[01:22:35] The falsetto was, um, crystal clear and yeah, it really took me places.
[01:22:42] Yeah.
[01:22:42] Yeah.
[01:22:42] Like a magic carpet ride.
[01:22:44] Way up here.
[01:22:45] It was crystal clear.
[01:22:47] You were in a whole new world with Brandon.
[01:22:51] And it, and it was called Ponderosa was the world.
[01:22:54] And I loved it.
[01:22:54] Yeah.
[01:22:55] So.
[01:22:56] Yeah.
[01:22:57] All right.
[01:22:58] Well, what a, what a beautiful way to end the podcast for any, uh, it's such a delight
[01:23:02] when you come on.
[01:23:04] And so, uh, I hope that we can do this many, many times over and you don't get sick of talking
[01:23:09] about survivor after 10 years in this world.
[01:23:13] After 10 years, I had, I had a moment this summer where I was like, I need to take a little
[01:23:17] break.
[01:23:18] I got off Twitter.
[01:23:19] I got, I cleansed, you know, a lot.
[01:23:22] It's good.
[01:23:22] It's good.
[01:23:23] Cause it, you know, it can be a lot.
[01:23:24] And also people on Twitter, like there's a lot of negativity and it's easy to forget
[01:23:27] that we all watch this.
[01:23:28] Oh, don't get me started.
[01:23:29] Yeah.
[01:23:30] Yeah.
[01:23:30] You know, you've seen it, but, um, yeah, I'm back.
[01:23:34] I love talking with you, Rob.
[01:23:35] It gets me all fired up.
[01:23:36] So thank you for having me.
[01:23:37] Great.
[01:23:37] Well, thank you.
[01:23:38] Uh, thanks everybody who joined us here live.
[01:23:41] This was a very, very, uh, fun episode and even more fun recap.
[01:23:44] We'll talk with Rome coming up on Thursday and then survivor know-it-alls, uh, coming up
[01:23:49] with Steven Fishback at 3 PM Eastern.
[01:23:52] I also have club condo coming up on Monday night with Chappelle.
[01:23:56] I think we'll have some fun.
[01:23:57] Are you happy that club condo lives on in the survivor podcast world?
[01:24:03] Yeah, that was such a, um, such a moment.
[01:24:06] Uh, it really highlighted for me how old Jeff is getting because we did, none of us knew
[01:24:13] what he meant at all.
[01:24:14] Um, so I'm glad that, you know, you are really bringing it back into the vernacular so that
[01:24:18] he can feel less.
[01:24:19] We're keeping it out there.
[01:24:20] Yes.
[01:24:21] Yes.
[01:24:21] Keeping it out there.
[01:24:22] Yeah.
[01:24:22] Um, and Full Tail Boogie, we mentioned that tonight too.
[01:24:25] Yeah.
[01:24:26] Yeah.
[01:24:26] He's bringing back the terms.
[01:24:28] Bringing it back and bring back the old merge.
[01:24:31] So we appreciate that too.
[01:24:32] He's bringing everything back.
[01:24:34] Yeah.
[01:24:34] It's a, yeah.
[01:24:34] And I love how to, you know, he's repacked.
[01:24:36] He's like, we're doing this crazy new thing.
[01:24:38] And it's like, don't tell him, don't tell him.
[01:24:39] It's normal.
[01:24:40] Nobody tell him.
[01:24:41] He doesn't know.
[01:24:42] Yeah.
[01:24:43] Oh yeah.
[01:24:44] Yeah.
[01:24:44] Next season.
[01:24:45] It's going to be like this crazy twist.
[01:24:47] We're just doing survival.
[01:24:49] We got a brand new twist this season.
[01:24:51] Two tribes.
[01:24:52] They're like, Whoa.
[01:24:52] Oh my God.
[01:24:54] It's crazy.
[01:24:55] There are people, there are people who've never seen that.
[01:24:57] There are new era fans who don't know what that is.
[01:24:59] So we're going to blow your mind.
[01:25:00] This season's 39 days.
[01:25:04] Yeah.
[01:25:05] All of us, we have to be really quiet.
[01:25:07] We have to say, wow, what a good new twist.
[01:25:09] That is good.
[01:25:09] That is good.
[01:25:10] That's, he's always thinking.
[01:25:12] You're killing it.
[01:25:13] Okay.
[01:25:13] All right.
[01:25:13] Thank you so much for joining us.
[01:25:15] Take care, everybody.
[01:25:15] Have a good one.
[01:25:16] Bye.
