[00:01:11] [SPEAKER_04]: We're going to be talking with our own Asia Welch,
[00:01:14] [SPEAKER_04]: who ended up getting voted out last night.
[00:01:18] [SPEAKER_04]: Things went sideways for her in the Lavo Tribe.
[00:01:21] [SPEAKER_04]: I thought she was in a very good spot coming into this week's episode
[00:01:25] [SPEAKER_04]: and really just still shocked about Asia going out of the game.
[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_04]: So she'll be here with us to talk about her experience in just a moment.
[00:01:37] [SPEAKER_04]: Last night, I had the chance to talk with Tevin Davis from Smart 4.6.

[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_08]: You know, Rob, I'm doing as best as I can be.
[00:02:30] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[00:02:31] [SPEAKER_08]: The night after a night I have not been looking forward to
[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_08]: for the past four to five months.
[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_04]: So yeah.
[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_04]: Was not even looking forward to it, thinking about it at this point in time.
[00:02:43] [SPEAKER_04]: So, you know, a big blindside for us.
[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_04]: But just want to first off send you a ton of love after all this.
[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_04]: And you just want to say really proud of the game that you were playing out there.
[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_04]: Would love to talk a little bit about it with you.
[00:03:01] [SPEAKER_08]: Thank you. I, you know, I felt like I had so much more game left to play.
[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_08]: Rob, I just felt like I was in a situation where I walked into the game
[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_08]: thinking, OK, I know that I'm on a tribe of six.
[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_08]: I am willing to work with the other five.
[00:03:16] [SPEAKER_08]: And then it's just like each person had there were a story for each person
[00:03:21] [SPEAKER_08]: that made it that difficult and like had to lock me in to the four
[00:03:25] [SPEAKER_08]: that I was trying to be loyal to.
[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_08]: I was trying to be as loyal as possible to Saul, Tini and Kishan.
[00:03:30] [SPEAKER_08]: And I was trying to reassure them as much as possible.
[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_08]: I was trying to make them so sure that there was no option
[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_08]: that I would ever work with Rome.
[00:03:38] [SPEAKER_08]: And through that, I couldn't work with Genevieve because Genevieve
[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_08]: and Rome were so locked in that like Rome is such a loud person.
[00:03:45] [SPEAKER_08]: The only time I ever heard him whisper was when he was off talking to Genevieve.
[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_08]: So it's just new that that was impossible.
[00:03:51] [SPEAKER_08]: And so I was just like, look, this is the four I have to work with.
[00:03:54] [SPEAKER_08]: And it's like, if that's the four I can't work with,
[00:03:57] [SPEAKER_08]: unless an advantage falls out of the sky, it's not happening.
[00:04:00] [SPEAKER_04]: Had you been getting signals prior to losing the immunity challenge
[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_04]: that Tini and Kishan were more likely to go with the Rome
[00:04:10] [SPEAKER_04]: and Genevieve pair before you had lost the challenge?
[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_08]: So I had gotten so it was one of those things where when the four of us
[00:04:21] [SPEAKER_08]: locked in together day two, whereas like we really like this for
[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_08]: this is the four that we want to work with.
[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_08]: I think it was it started to I started to notice these things like, OK,
[00:04:32] [SPEAKER_08]: I feel good with Tini.
[00:04:34] [SPEAKER_08]: I feel good with Saul.
[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_08]: Saul, I felt the closest to like that was my safety blanket.
[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_08]: That was the person I could talk to about everything back home that I was like,
[00:04:43] [SPEAKER_08]: that was my get away from the game.
[00:04:45] [SPEAKER_08]: Me and Saul could just go on the beach and just talk about life.
[00:04:48] [SPEAKER_08]: And then we're like, OK, now let's compare everything we've been told.
[00:04:51] [SPEAKER_08]: So we told each other everything that was going on, always compared notes.
[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_08]: And so I knew that me and Saul were so locked in.
[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_08]: And so it became very, very apparent that Kishan and Tini were so locked in.
[00:05:04] [SPEAKER_08]: So then OK, we have three duos now.
[00:05:06] [SPEAKER_08]: So it's like, I know that Kishan and Tini, even though they're telling me we're good,
[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_08]: is just like, OK, but you also have this other option.
[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_08]: But the fact that we openly talked about it, we said, like,
[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_08]: y'all should make Rome and Genevieve feel like you're with those four.
[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_08]: It's just that that was their real thing,
[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_08]: whereas me and Saul were their fake thing apparently.
[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_08]: And so it's just like I was getting signs in that, like,
[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_08]: I would see Tini and Genevieve talking a lot.
[00:05:36] [SPEAKER_08]: And I'm like, OK.
[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_08]: And Tini's just like, yeah, like, I feel like I haven't talked a lot with Genevieve.
[00:05:41] [SPEAKER_08]: So I'm just going to spend some more time getting to know Genevieve.
[00:05:43] [SPEAKER_08]: And so I feel like it was a situation where I was being.
[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_08]: I was I don't know if I was being forced, but I felt like I was overestimating
[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_08]: my relationship with Tini because even the night that Rome woke Tini up
[00:05:55] [SPEAKER_08]: to tell Tini about the idol, he woke me up.
[00:05:59] [SPEAKER_08]: Rome's volume is at 11 always, right?
[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_08]: And so I'm just like, he's teeny, teeny, teeny, wake up.
[00:06:06] [SPEAKER_08]: And so I wake up because I slept in between Keshon and Tini.
[00:06:10] [SPEAKER_08]: And so I see them walk away and I'm just like, OK,
[00:06:13] [SPEAKER_08]: I'll ask Tini in the morning like what they talked about.
[00:06:16] [SPEAKER_08]: And so Tini told like told me it was something else.
[00:06:19] [SPEAKER_08]: And so I think it was a situation where like, OK, then I think back,
[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_08]: like, should I gotten up and like snuck and hid and like build a bunker
[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_08]: and tried to listen?
[00:06:28] [SPEAKER_08]: But then I'm like, that wasn't the game I was trying to play
[00:06:30] [SPEAKER_08]: because I wanted Tini and Keshon to feel like I fully trusted them,
[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_08]: which I was trying to do and I was trying to reinforce that with them.
[00:06:38] [SPEAKER_08]: But it still felt like I knew when we lost, I'm like, it could go either way.
[00:06:42] [SPEAKER_08]: It's their it's their choice at this point, which I hated
[00:06:45] [SPEAKER_08]: because I was just like, this feels so out of my hands.
[00:06:49] [SPEAKER_08]: Like in that situation with three duos, why not the outer duos
[00:06:52] [SPEAKER_08]: go for the middle duo?
[00:06:54] [SPEAKER_08]: But anytime I had a conversation with Rome or Genevieve about how they
[00:06:58] [SPEAKER_08]: felt about everyone else, Rome would say, I feel so good about Tini and Keshon.
[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_08]: Like if we went to tribal in between Saul and Genevieve for me, like, yeah, right.
[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_08]: Like you're lying to me.
[00:07:09] [SPEAKER_08]: Genevieve is not even on the table for you.
[00:07:11] [SPEAKER_08]: And then knowing Genevieve was so locked in with Rome, but then didn't
[00:07:16] [SPEAKER_08]: but felt so good about Keshon team.
[00:07:18] [SPEAKER_08]: I was like, OK, it's me or Saul.
[00:07:19] [SPEAKER_08]: And so yeah, it just made it really difficult
[00:07:21] [SPEAKER_08]: because I'm just like it's really is literally them choosing who they want
[00:07:24] [SPEAKER_08]: to be loyal to.
[00:07:24] [SPEAKER_04]: So you had the chance to talk with Tini and Keshon about what they
[00:07:30] [SPEAKER_04]: ultimately wanted to do, and they wanted you to vote for Saul.
[00:07:34] [SPEAKER_04]: You were trying to persuade them to vote for Genevieve from your discussion
[00:07:38] [SPEAKER_04]: with them. Did they give you a sense of why they felt better going with
[00:07:44] [SPEAKER_04]: maybe like a little bit more of an erratic pair in Rome and Genevieve
[00:07:49] [SPEAKER_04]: as opposed to maybe a more stable pair in you and Saul?
[00:07:54] [SPEAKER_08]: That's what that was so difficult about that, because they had talked for a long time.
[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_08]: Like when they were at it, they were in the shelter talking before tribal.
[00:08:04] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm just like, oh my gosh, what are they talking about?
[00:08:07] [SPEAKER_08]: I know like literally me and Rome were sitting away from away from them
[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_08]: closer to the beach and we're like, well, they're just deciding which
[00:08:14] [SPEAKER_08]: which duo they want to go with.
[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_08]: Like we know that's what's happening.
[00:08:17] [SPEAKER_08]: And so when they finally like Asia, come here.
[00:08:19] [SPEAKER_08]: So I go over and they're like, Rome told me, told us he
[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_08]: has an idol he only has one tribal to use it.
[00:08:25] [SPEAKER_08]: And so they pitched Saul and for me, I don't have an incentive to vote Saul here.
[00:08:29] [SPEAKER_08]: Like I was like, OK, I was like, I don't want it to be me.
[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_08]: So I'm not opposed, but let's consider our options.
[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_08]: If the fear here is that he uses on Genevieve, why not?
[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_08]: Let's just make him use it on himself.
[00:08:41] [SPEAKER_08]: Rome is a very selfish player.
[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_08]: So all we have to do is make sure he uses it on himself.
[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_08]: And so what we also didn't see was that they validated me right
[00:08:51] [SPEAKER_08]: before we went to tribal, they said, hey, we're down voting three one Genevieve.
[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_08]: So in my mind, it's not me or Saul.
[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_08]: In my mind, it's me or Genevieve because they said, look, we're fine with it.
[00:09:01] [SPEAKER_08]: We're fine splitting the votes three one on Rome.
[00:09:04] [SPEAKER_08]: And so I was like, OK, like we're y'all are sure you're comfortable with that.
[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_08]: They're like, yeah, I was like, OK, anything I'm saying moving forward.
[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm trying to make sure Rome uses the idol on himself.
[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_08]: I told Genevieve right before tribal,
[00:09:15] [SPEAKER_08]: hey, just so you know me and Saul picked up another vote.
[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't want to expose them, but us three are going to vote Rome.
[00:09:20] [SPEAKER_08]: I just don't want you to be left out.
[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_08]: So that's so she goes to go to tell Rome, hey, use the idol on yourself
[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_08]: to protect yourself.
[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_08]: And so that's why at tribal, I did that last statement.
[00:09:32] [SPEAKER_08]: Hey, whoever's going to vote with me.
[00:09:33] [SPEAKER_08]: That was my last ditch effort to make Keshon and Teenie know
[00:09:36] [SPEAKER_08]: that I'm trying to make Rome use the idol in himself
[00:09:39] [SPEAKER_08]: in the event that they were going to side with me.
[00:09:42] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. All right. Asia, there's Rome.
[00:09:45] [SPEAKER_04]: Bless his heart.
[00:09:48] [SPEAKER_04]: He we've seen a lot of Rome these last couple of weeks.
[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_04]: Do you feel like is the edit accurately depicting what it was like
[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_04]: to live with Rome or was it better or worse than what we're seeing?
[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_08]: I feel like the edit is accurately depicting what it's like to live with Rome,
[00:10:13] [SPEAKER_08]: but it was it was worse.
[00:10:15] [SPEAKER_08]: I think it got to the point like I feel like people are able to capture
[00:10:19] [SPEAKER_08]: like the slight love like, oh, it must be.
[00:10:22] [SPEAKER_08]: The essence. Like that.
[00:10:23] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. The essence, the lore, if you will.
[00:10:25] [SPEAKER_08]: But no, it was worse.
[00:10:28] [SPEAKER_08]: It was to the point where I would hear him talking on the beach
[00:10:32] [SPEAKER_08]: and I'm just like, I can't, I can't.
[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to go anywhere else because the man was constantly trying
[00:10:38] [SPEAKER_08]: to just impress other people who's just constantly talking about himself.
[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_08]: Any conversation I had with him was like an interview.
[00:10:46] [SPEAKER_08]: He was not interested in getting to know me whatsoever.
[00:10:49] [SPEAKER_08]: And now to see how like passionate he was and his confessionals,
[00:10:53] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm like, what was it?
[00:10:55] [SPEAKER_08]: What was your issue?
[00:10:56] [SPEAKER_08]: Because I went on the day one camp supplies thing.
[00:10:59] [SPEAKER_08]: That's that's not it.
[00:11:00] [SPEAKER_08]: So that was just like, OK, whatever you have against me, that's on you.
[00:11:06] [SPEAKER_08]: It takes Rob, it takes so much for me to express annoyance with people.
[00:11:12] [SPEAKER_04]: Like that I would always characterize you as no drama.
[00:11:18] [SPEAKER_04]: The patience of a saint.
[00:11:20] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes. For you to have any annoyance for the person is a lot.
[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_08]: That that shows you how I mean, and I want to you want to say,
[00:11:31] [SPEAKER_08]: oh, it's because of the the elements, right?
[00:11:34] [SPEAKER_08]: We're hungry.
[00:11:35] [SPEAKER_08]: You know, your body adjusts.
[00:11:37] [SPEAKER_08]: You've been out there.
[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_08]: There's there's a certain point.
[00:11:39] [SPEAKER_08]: Your body just knows you're not going to be fed, right?
[00:11:42] [SPEAKER_08]: And so you just you learn how to deal with the hunger.
[00:11:44] [SPEAKER_08]: But I'm like, I'm not being unnecessarily irritable with Kishon
[00:11:48] [SPEAKER_08]: or teeny or Saul or even Genevieve.
[00:11:52] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm like this it just when he went on his journey,
[00:11:56] [SPEAKER_08]: that was the best time at camp.
[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_08]: We got so much done.
[00:11:59] [SPEAKER_08]: We built a swing.
[00:12:01] [SPEAKER_08]: We built a bench.
[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_08]: We were just having the time of our lives without anybody forced
[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_08]: to try and tell us what to do.
[00:12:07] [SPEAKER_08]: It's just that Rome wanted to be that provider role,
[00:12:09] [SPEAKER_08]: but he was not a provider.
[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_08]: So it was just like when he said jump, go make the fire.
[00:12:13] [SPEAKER_08]: Like, can y'all make the fire and we don't jump out of the water
[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_08]: and sprint up the beach to go make the fire?
[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_08]: Then he's pissed.
[00:12:19] [SPEAKER_08]: So it's just like, how do you live with someone like that?
[00:12:21] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think it was such a tough question.
[00:12:25] [SPEAKER_04]: And I don't know the answer to it.
[00:12:26] [SPEAKER_04]: How do you stop somebody like Rome from going on the journey?
[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_04]: The boat comes.
[00:12:32] [SPEAKER_04]: Nobody I presume maybe Genevieve.
[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_04]: I presume that nobody wants him to go on the journey.
[00:12:37] [SPEAKER_04]: Somehow he's the person getting in the boat.
[00:12:39] [SPEAKER_04]: How do you stop that?
[00:12:41] [SPEAKER_08]: You know, I tried because not physically, but not like a TK.
[00:12:47] [SPEAKER_08]: Right. Imagine.
[00:12:50] [SPEAKER_08]: I first immunity challenge when we had won by a long shot,
[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_08]: we said, look, it just says if somebody has to go on a journey,
[00:12:57] [SPEAKER_08]: let's decide now.
[00:12:59] [SPEAKER_08]: And so Rome and saw play rock, paper, scissors, saw one.
[00:13:02] [SPEAKER_08]: We said, OK, Saul, you'll be the one to go.
[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_08]: And so then when it didn't happen, we're like, OK, so then the boat comes
[00:13:08] [SPEAKER_08]: and then Rome's like, great, let's decide who wants to go.
[00:13:11] [SPEAKER_08]: And we're like, oh, I was like, didn't we decide Saul's going already?
[00:13:15] [SPEAKER_08]: He's like, no, this is a new day.
[00:13:17] [SPEAKER_08]: No, we have to wait.
[00:13:18] [SPEAKER_08]: This is a new day. This is a new journey.
[00:13:20] [SPEAKER_08]: It's like, OK, whatever.
[00:13:22] [SPEAKER_08]: And so the five of them because we were like, oh, let's all do
[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_08]: like rock, paper, scissors or something or whatever.
[00:13:27] [SPEAKER_08]: And I had already gone on the day one thing and I was like,
[00:13:29] [SPEAKER_08]: could people are already suspect?
[00:13:31] [SPEAKER_08]: But I knew at that point, Genevieve and maybe Rome has expected I had something.
[00:13:35] [SPEAKER_08]: So I was like, I'm not trying to think y'all have think I have two things.
[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_08]: And so those five did like a rock, paper, scissors tournament
[00:13:41] [SPEAKER_08]: and that's or I'm a person out or something.
[00:13:44] [SPEAKER_08]: They decided with the five.
[00:13:45] [SPEAKER_08]: And so the last step was Saul in Rome and then Rome went Asia.
[00:13:49] [SPEAKER_04]: Could you tell us who is Genevieve?
[00:13:55] [SPEAKER_08]: She was so she was so she was the sixth person.
[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_08]: Yes, our tribe.
[00:14:01] [SPEAKER_08]: Yes, you know, it's it's it's so wild because I think so to like on at camp.
[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_08]: It was very visible duos.
[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_08]: Like she was so close with Rome.
[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, there were multiple nights I woke up and those two were talking.
[00:14:16] [SPEAKER_08]: And I'm just like, OK, they are like they are locked in.
[00:14:19] [SPEAKER_08]: There is no for me.
[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_08]: There was no breaking that up.
[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_08]: And it was like any time I I did have conversations with
[00:14:25] [SPEAKER_08]: Genevieve, Genevieve, she was out there.
[00:14:27] [SPEAKER_08]: She was at the camp.
[00:14:28] [SPEAKER_08]: You know, so that y'all are aware.
[00:14:33] [SPEAKER_08]: And she saw in Rome with butt heads and she was just like,
[00:14:38] [SPEAKER_08]: it sucks that our guys can't get along.
[00:14:40] [SPEAKER_08]: And so just like it felt like it was not going to be an option to even work
[00:14:45] [SPEAKER_08]: with her come like, OK, I can't work with Rome.
[00:14:47] [SPEAKER_08]: Maybe I can work with Genevieve.
[00:14:49] [SPEAKER_08]: But because she was so locked in with Rome and you know,
[00:14:51] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm not sure if that's something that I could have made up for by being
[00:14:54] [SPEAKER_08]: there day one hour one.
[00:14:56] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. But it just felt like that was inevitable
[00:14:59] [SPEAKER_08]: because I don't think they were as close until the whole like idle finding
[00:15:03] [SPEAKER_08]: fiasco with with Teenie and Kishan.
[00:15:07] [SPEAKER_08]: So it just felt like, OK, well, they're close.
[00:15:10] [SPEAKER_08]: That's impossible.
[00:15:11] [SPEAKER_08]: I have to go all in on these four.
[00:15:13] [SPEAKER_08]: But she was the sixth person on the track.
