Rob Cesternino (@RobCesternino) interviews the latest castaway voted off the Survivor 47 island, followed by This Week In Survivor History with Jordan Kalish (@JordanKalish) where Rob plays against an RHAP patron.[00:00:01] Hey everybody, what's going on? Rob Cesternino back with an Exit Interview this morning and we are going to be talking with a woman who was on the business end of the 3-2-2 split during last night's Operation Italy and that's Caroline. Very much looking forward to talking with Caroline about everything that we saw going on there last night in the episode and all through Survivor 47. I am on the road. I am recording from a hotel room in Houston as we had a great live show.
[00:00:30] That's going to be up and posted for you later on today on Thursday. So definitely a little bit of an unusual schedule while I'm traveling last night. Shannon Gus and Dr. Evie Jagoda went almost two hours talking about this huge moment in Survivor 47. So you can check that podcast out. Then I will have the Survivor Know-It-Alls dropping for you on Friday with Stephen Fishback and then our patron Q&A is going to be on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. Eastern.
[00:01:00] time 8 a.m. Pacific if you want to join me to talk about everything from this episode and we'll take your calls. But I see that we have Caroline standing by. We'll have Jordan Kalish in this week in Survivor History right after that. Let's go ahead and bring in Caroline.
[00:01:15] Hey Caroline, what's going on? Rob Cesternino and I am really shocked to be talking to you today because if you would have asked me on Wednesday morning who's winning the season, I would have said I'm like 95% Caroline is going to win the season.
[00:01:29] And so what a surprise. But first off, kudos to you because I felt like that you were right there.
[00:01:37] Thank you. Thank you so much, Rob. And like, honestly, I was feeling really good about my game too. At that point, I was so proud of like the way that I was able to help push votes in like a direction each time that was beneficial for my game, but like taking none of the heat for it.
[00:01:51] So I love my positioning. I love the game that I played. And while I feel like did not have the win in the bag by any means, I felt good about my path.
[00:02:00] So I was shocked to see the whole thing. You were setting up Rachel to go be the next person in front of the bus at some point.
[00:02:09] Can you just tell us about like your plan for what you were imagining for the end of the game and ultimately how you got to the win?
[00:02:17] Absolutely. So I would say at this point, I was still trying to be flexible. I love the idea of going to the end with the four women we talked about at the reward.
[00:02:24] But again, in the name of Survivor, it got to be adaptable.
[00:02:27] So in terms of endgame, I was really big on, you know what, suing me to the end. Sounds great to me.
[00:02:33] I was also comfortable sitting at the end with Teenie, comfortable sitting at the end with Andy, comfortable sitting at the end with Sam.
[00:02:39] So it was really Genevieve and Rachel were the ones where, OK, I did not want to sit at the end with Genevieve.
[00:02:45] She's a scary Canadian. Not about it.
[00:02:48] Rachel, I was wary of because, again, I thought she was a threat the entire game pretty much.
[00:02:53] But I felt like there was quite a few different avenues I could go about it.
[00:02:56] And I did not have a specific plan I wanted to do for Sue's idol.
[00:03:00] But I really wanted us in the next vote after me to use her idol to really, truly dictate who we wanted to have go home.
[00:03:07] And so Genevieve was up there. Rachel was considered. Yeah.
[00:03:10] All right. So tell me about this vote last night.
[00:03:13] And what was your suspicion level going into the vote?
[00:03:16] Was it was it zero or were you thinking that there could be something fishy happening?
[00:03:22] At camp, I was really feeling confident.
[00:03:26] The way I was viewing this is I really did feel like Andy wanted to make a big move at this time.
[00:03:31] But I really believed, you know what?
[00:03:33] But like have him coming and wanting Genevieve to be the one to go home.
[00:03:38] Pretty big move.
[00:03:39] Biggest threat of the season.
[00:03:40] Great job, Andy.
[00:03:41] And I was really the reason why we didn't play the idol, play the block of vote or change up the split votes is I wanted Andy to feel like he had full agency over this big move.
[00:03:51] But also, since I was behind the scenes ensuring it happened the way he wanted to happen, there was it was a calculated risk.
[00:03:58] And that one that I felt comfortable explaining at final tribal.
[00:04:01] So I was so confident.
[00:04:03] I advocated against Sue playing her idol for me.
[00:04:05] All of these things.
[00:04:08] Turns out not a great read.
[00:04:09] But at tribal council, I started getting just a bad feeling at my gut, especially going to tribal council.
[00:04:16] And that's when I started thinking, you know what?
[00:04:20] Something fishy could be happening.
[00:04:22] As I was walking into tribal council, I looked around the set around me and I was like, take this in because this could be the last one.
[00:04:28] And so I would say I was the way I was there.
[00:04:33] If I had an idol, I would have played it.
[00:04:36] I did not feel comfortable enough, though, stirring up chaos, standing up, crossing the ins, everyone to get to Sue and start whispering to her.
[00:04:44] Because especially if she didn't end up playing it on me, looks so suspicious, makes Andy upset, makes just rattles the game, rattles the plan.
[00:04:53] So I was nervous, but it still counts as a total blindside.
[00:04:56] OK, Caroline, this is a tricky question.
[00:04:58] So I want to ask you this question.
[00:04:59] If you put yourself in back on the beach, back at the tribal council at the point that you went out of the game, could you just tell us about your perceptions and other people's perceptions of Andy up until this point in the game?
[00:05:12] Absolutely.
[00:05:12] So really speaking from my perception first, my first impression of Andy was that day three Matt experience.
[00:05:20] And I would say after meeting him during the journey and meeting him early on in the merge, he was really big on just talking about how he felt so alone that he was on the bottom.
[00:05:32] And he really led with all the emotions that he felt from feeling so excluded and disrespected.
[00:05:38] And as he started becoming more in our alliance and we developed a closer relationship, he was really leading with his emotions of how I feel safe with you guys.
[00:05:46] I feel heard.
[00:05:47] I feel seen.
[00:05:48] And so I personally thought that he was relatively driven by his emotions and would make more emotional moves.
[00:05:54] Like I thought flipping on God, it had to do more with feeling disrespected.
[00:05:58] And so I felt my read on him was the way to support him and persuade him was to be have like more emotional arguments and really be there for him emotionally.
[00:06:07] I now like now see that there's more strategy intact to it.
[00:06:12] But I think I viewed him more as someone to take care of out there.
[00:06:17] And I think a lot of people potentially had that same perspective, too.
[00:06:20] And that's how we talked about it behind the scenes.
[00:06:22] You talked about Genevieve as being, you know, a scary player, a scary Canadian.
[00:06:27] But it seemed like last week you were much more in the camp of we need to get out Kyle over Genevieve in that debate.
[00:06:34] Do you still feel like that that's the right decision to take out Kyle instead of Genevieve?
[00:06:38] Absolutely.
[00:06:39] And I'm excited to touch on why.
[00:06:41] So I would say personally, I was not worried about Kyle winning every single immunity challenge and winning to the end.
[00:06:46] That was not the reason why I wanted to take him out.
[00:06:48] And kind of why that statistical argument like it was just point two percent.
[00:06:54] The math is right.
[00:06:55] Disagree with the assumptions.
[00:06:57] But again, that was not even the argument of why I wanted him gone.
[00:07:00] I wanted him gone primarily because one, he was not a number that was working with me.
[00:07:05] Just game wise, eye to eye.
[00:07:06] We did not want to target the same people.
[00:07:09] We didn't approach quite the game the same way.
[00:07:11] Like game wise, we just weren't clicking.
[00:07:12] And so I really struggled working with him with some votes.
[00:07:15] And with Genevieve, I thought Genevieve was a fantastic shield for like me and for Rachel.
[00:07:21] Like when you want to go over, like when you want to go after like a savvy woman, I feel like we were the people who were more frequently thought of.
[00:07:28] Like Kyle is, you know, a challenge beast.
[00:07:31] But I felt like.
[00:07:33] Typically, I kind of feel like with survivor, you're trying to target certain types of players at tribals and Kyle is not the same type of player as me.
[00:07:40] So it felt like I honestly wanted to keep Genevieve a little bit longer for a shield.
[00:07:44] And I felt like it was easier potentially to work with her if I wanted to do something wild.
[00:07:48] So many of the fans have commented on you had such a great attitude during this season that you were so positive.
[00:07:55] You were so encouraging.
[00:07:57] Is that just a natural part of your personality or did survivor bring that out in you?
[00:08:02] Yeah, no, it's something that I do think is just naturally who I am.
[00:08:05] It's interesting because I would say I'm a very competitive person, but I'm competitive with myself.
[00:08:10] I set very high expectations for myself.
[00:08:12] There's things that I'm really tough on myself for.
[00:08:14] So I'm kind of like my own harshest critic.
[00:08:17] But when it comes to other people, like seeing them succeed and do well, like I'm very rarely jealous.
[00:08:22] I'm typically like good for you.
[00:08:24] And like that's I love seeing other people succeed because I never feel like I'm trying to compare myself to them.
[00:08:30] So I genuinely and I feel like I think this is weird to say, but I feel like I do care about people quite a bit.
[00:08:36] So I'm able to separate emotions and gameplay.
[00:08:39] But I did genuinely love seeing people do well out there.
[00:08:42] You had a big job last week to try to go back to Sue and get her back feeling good about you after the game vote out.
[00:08:53] Did was that as easy as it seemed on television of you had that one conversation with her and that Sue was back 100 percent with you?
[00:09:00] So I would say what was wonderful about my relationship with Sue is that we had a really strong base to work with.
[00:09:06] I felt like we were very close throughout the game.
[00:09:08] We're working great together.
[00:09:10] And I felt like with Sue, she was looking for an emotional rock out there.
[00:09:13] And I felt like a lot of ways I was able to be that for her.
[00:09:17] And I felt pretty confident going into that conversation.
[00:09:20] I felt like I knew how to speak, Sue.
[00:09:22] I felt like if I wore my heart on my sleeve and I talked about my emotions and how this vote really meant so much to me that she'd understand where I was coming from and we would be able to reconnect.
[00:09:31] So that was it was that one conversation.
[00:09:34] And I'm so grateful it worked out the way that it did.
[00:09:37] But I'll be honest, I felt pretty confident going into that conversation.
[00:09:40] It would work out.
[00:09:41] Caroline.
[00:09:42] All right.
[00:09:42] This is a very important question I have for you about Sue.
[00:09:45] And maybe you can help us understand what's going on.
[00:09:48] I know what you're going to ask.
[00:09:48] Yeah.
[00:09:48] What is going on?
[00:09:50] Why is she so dirty?
[00:09:51] And people say, oh, she's weird.
[00:09:52] This is makeup.
[00:09:53] But she said to you, hey, Caroline, you have dirt on your face.
[00:09:57] No.
[00:09:57] And guess what?
[00:09:58] I told her right back after that.
[00:10:00] She has it too.
[00:10:01] And I helped her out.
[00:10:03] So I want to clarify.
[00:10:05] I really like a lot of what's on her face is not dirt.
[00:10:07] It's soot.
[00:10:08] So Sue is wonderful.
[00:10:10] And she was so active at tending to the fire, especially at night.
[00:10:14] And the way that she would tend to it is moving around a lot of the logs and stuff in the fire
[00:10:18] in a way where she'd get a lot of soot on her hands.
[00:10:20] And she'd touch her face quite a bit.
[00:10:22] So we would work hard to try to help her get it off her face.
[00:10:25] But because it was soot, it was a lot of scrubbing.
[00:10:28] And it was tough.
[00:10:29] And we would try to do it.
[00:10:31] But at some point, Sue would tell us, it's fine, guys.
[00:10:33] Like, it's good.
[00:10:34] I'll make it work.
[00:10:36] So efforts were made daily.
[00:10:39] It was still tough.
[00:10:42] But I need to clarify.
[00:10:43] That is why Sue is a little bit messier.
[00:10:48] But also, OK, you have to admit, the contour line in that one photo, honestly, pretty stunning.
[00:10:52] It looks pretty good.
[00:10:53] I feel like other contestants should contour with Sue moving forward.
[00:10:57] Not bad.
[00:10:57] She's a game changer.
[00:10:59] Caroline, coming into the merge, you really clocked Rachel.
[00:11:02] You talked about Rachel as being the most dangerous player in the game.
[00:11:06] Did Rachel ingratiate herself with you?
[00:11:09] Or was she always still in the back of your mind as a very dangerous player?
[00:11:14] Both.
[00:11:15] So I would say after the Sierra vote, they don't show it.
[00:11:18] But we have a wonderful conversation at night where basically we're like,
[00:11:21] we have not been working together for the past two votes.
[00:11:24] But like, really down to work with each other.
[00:11:26] Like, that's kind of how Rachel was pitching it.
[00:11:28] And the reason I clocked her as being such a threat is because how much I found her like,
[00:11:34] had a great mind for the game.
[00:11:36] So strategic, so charismatic.
[00:11:38] You just want to work with Rachel.
[00:11:40] And so at that point, I was like, you know what?
[00:11:42] I think she's a threat.
[00:11:43] But I'd love to have this threat working with me.
[00:11:45] So after the Sierra vote, we were working together.
[00:11:48] And especially as the game evolved, she became my strategic number one.
[00:11:51] And so I loved working with her in the game.
[00:11:54] And but again, at the back of my head, I was always like,
[00:11:59] I felt like she didn't at this point had not realized some of that threat potential.
[00:12:04] So I was comfortable still working with her.
[00:12:06] And as her threats increasing, I'm like, ooh, okay, let's build up a shield here.
[00:12:09] I also I have I love the idea in the game where you don't just let threats emerge and happen.
[00:12:15] You can help build them yourselves.
[00:12:17] You can help someone craft strategies and make moves.
[00:12:20] So you're you're proactively building a shield.
[00:12:22] So that's also how I loved kind of working with Rachel as well.
[00:12:26] But did I want to sit in the final three with her?
[00:12:28] I was never confident in that.
[00:12:29] Yeah.
[00:12:30] OK, going back to this last vote.
[00:12:32] So Andy is saying he's very worried about the idol, wants to split the votes.
[00:12:38] And he ends up on the side of the votes where he's able to flip and make a difference.
[00:12:44] Did anybody sort of like a clock that concern of like, should we be letting Andy who went to the sanctuary be in the position to flip?
[00:12:52] Did anybody raise that concern?
[00:12:54] Yes.
[00:12:55] A lot of concerns were raised.
[00:12:56] OK, a few things to mention here.
[00:12:57] I've not talked about this yet.
[00:13:00] Before it and all them came back from the reward, we were already guessing that Genevieve had an idol.
[00:13:05] So Genevieve made a comment to Tini saying, you know, when I'm the one going home, just Tini, let me know.
[00:13:11] And we'll enjoy the rest of the day together.
[00:13:13] Tini tells us this.
[00:13:14] And my thought is, oh, Genevieve has an idol.
[00:13:16] She's trying to get you to tell her.
[00:13:17] So when Andy also comes back saying, hey, guys, Genevieve has an idol.
[00:13:21] Our response to him is, oh, yeah, we know.
[00:13:23] And he was shocked, which should have been more of a red flag.
[00:13:26] But, you know, it is what it is.
[00:13:28] So we were already planning a split vote against Sam.
[00:13:32] Andy's only change was let's change that split vote to Genevieve.
[00:13:36] So and when he was the one to propose who voted for what, I was actually a big advocate for let's just do what Andy says, because I wanted him to feel like he could take full credit for this Genevieve move.
[00:13:48] I could tell that with Andy's game.
[00:13:50] He really wanted to make a big move and do something to leave his mark.
[00:13:53] I wanted him to feel like that was exactly what he did with this move.
[00:13:57] He was in control with the Genevieve vote.
[00:13:59] It was fully his idea.
[00:14:01] And that's why when we had all these advantages to make it certain, I did not want to play it because I didn't want to steal Andy's thunder.
[00:14:09] I wanted him to be proud and I wanted him to also then feel like he could be content just having that be on his resume till final tribal.
[00:14:16] And I go to the end with him and I felt confident in that.
[00:14:18] So was there any discussion about Rachel's block of vote being used in this round?
[00:14:23] Yes.
[00:14:24] And I was the one to say no.
[00:14:26] I was the one to say save it.
[00:14:27] We're good.
[00:14:28] It's Andy's idea to vote out Genevieve.
[00:14:30] Why would Andy flip in such a good move to get out Genevieve biggest threat in the game?
[00:14:35] So what's funny is with the block of vote with Sue's idol, I'm the biggest advocate saying to not use it.
[00:14:41] So it was a calculated risk.
[00:14:43] It didn't work out.
[00:14:43] But I genuinely at the time thought it was the best move for Andy's game to get out Genevieve.
[00:14:48] Well, Caroline, I want to give you back some of the positivity because I think you played a really great game.
[00:14:53] I think that you were really just right there laying in the weeds.
[00:14:56] And I was I was overconfident to Caroline.
[00:15:00] So I'm sorry about that.
[00:15:01] Is there anything else you want to let people know about your game that we didn't get a chance to see?
[00:15:06] I think what I'm most proud of is that I played the game the way that I really wanted it to.
[00:15:12] I really love the position I was in where I was on the right side of the votes the entire time.
[00:15:17] I played a very active role in persuading people to vote for the people we voted for more than what was shown.
[00:15:23] But the brilliance like what I was so happy they executed is I never wanted the credit consistently throughout the game was trying to have it feel like I had shields in front of me who were very big on make it seem like they were the ones really being active.
[00:15:38] And I thought I was so proud that I could explain my game at Final Travel Council in a way that would surprise people, but make sense.
[00:15:44] So I'm so grateful I had that experience.
[00:15:46] It didn't work out the way I wanted to, but I have I'm really proud of the game that I did play.
[00:15:50] Yeah, very fun to watch, Caroline.
[00:15:52] So thank you so much for coming on and hope we can chat more in the future.
[00:15:56] OK, would love to.
[00:15:58] All right. Take care, Caroline. All the best.
[00:15:59] Bye.
[00:16:00] All right, everybody. There you have it, Caroline.
[00:16:02] And I meant it.
[00:16:03] You know, I thought really thought that Caroline was the most likely winner by far.
[00:16:07] I really imagine that, OK, she was going to push Rachel out at five.
[00:16:11] That was going to be her big move or maybe Rachel was going to get pushed into the fire making and then she was going to knock out Rachel and take credit for that.
[00:16:19] And then we were headed towards a Caroline win.
[00:16:21] But now.
[00:16:23] I'm starting to think it's Rachel, so we'll see where we go from there, but we've been surprised before.
[00:16:29] And so Caroline really did a great job, really was had.
[00:16:32] I thought everything just set up going her way.
[00:16:35] Interesting.
[00:16:35] She said she felt like she would have been comfortable to go with the four women.
[00:16:38] And so Andy probably was looking at a fifth place finish.
[00:16:41] So I think that if Andy finishes higher than fifth place, I think we have to say that Operation Italy certainly a success from Andy's perspective.
[00:16:51] All right.
[00:16:52] Let's go ahead and take a break.
[00:16:54] When we come back, Jordan Kalish and This Week in Survivor History recorded earlier this week.
[00:16:59] We come back right after this.
[00:17:02] This episode of Rob is a Podcast is sponsored by Amazfit, makers of the T-Rex 3 smartwatch.
[00:17:09] Now, any survivor player worth their salt is looking to up their game.
[00:17:14] And that is exactly what I have done with the T-Rex 3.
[00:17:18] You don't get to be a knowingest know-it-all without a smartwatch.
[00:17:23] And I've had some other ones.
[00:17:25] And let me say what I love the most about the T-Rex 3 is that it has a 27-day battery.
[00:17:34] Day, not hour.
[00:17:35] I'm not supposed to say this, but some of these other watches, you're lucky if you get 27 hours.
[00:17:40] 27 days, that's longer than a season of Survivor.
[00:17:45] And it tracks all these different activities, whether I'm walking, it picks it up automatically.
[00:17:50] There are things that it can track that I would never do, like skydiving or snorkeling.
[00:17:57] It's amazing all the things that it can track.
[00:17:59] Plus, it has an AI assistant that also you wear right on your wrist.
[00:18:05] And what I also love is that it looks great too.
[00:18:07] It looks like a real watch and not like I've got this black square that I'm just wearing on my wrist
[00:18:12] where I look like a child.
[00:18:13] I actually look like an adult wearing a watch.
[00:18:16] So check out the T-Rex 3 by AmazeFit at major retailers like Best Buy, Target, Walmart or Amazon.

[00:19:49] But first, let's bring in the host of Twish.
[00:19:52] It's Jordan Kalish.
[00:19:53] Jordan, how are you?
[00:19:54] I'm doing great.
[00:19:55] And I can tell you that the headspace I'm in right now,
[00:19:58] I have in the last week or so watched the first season of Lost for the first time.
[00:20:04] So I have all these numbers going through my head.
[00:20:06] I feel like going down a hatch.
[00:20:08] So I'm all in the lost.
[00:20:11] And I'm really, really loving it.
[00:20:12] It definitely reminds me of Survivor.
[00:20:14] And I see why people have been telling me I should watch this show for the last 20 years.
[00:20:17] Yeah, only 20 years late to the party.
[00:20:21] I finally listened.
[00:20:22] And they were right.
[00:20:23] It's a great show so far.
[00:20:24] I can't wait to see what happens.
[00:20:25] All right.
[00:20:26] Well, let's bring in our patron who is going to take me on here.
[00:20:30] It's Brooks.
[00:20:31] Brooks, how are you?
[00:20:33] I'm good.
[00:20:34] Hello.
[00:20:34] Super excited to be here.
[00:20:35] Brooks, I'm licking my wounds coming off of a loss to Erica last week.
[00:20:39] So I'm fired up.
[00:20:42] Okay.
[00:20:43] Brooks, how are you?
[00:20:45] Yeah, I'm doing well.
[00:20:47] Happy to be here instead of working.
[00:20:49] So, yeah.
[00:20:51] Yeah.
[00:20:51] Okay.
[00:20:52] Well, Brooks, much like a contestant from this season, Andy, you two have appeared on Rob
[00:20:58] and Akiva Anita Podcast.
[00:21:00] I have.
[00:21:01] I was on Siblings Are Dating.
[00:21:03] Rob thought I was dating my brother.
[00:21:05] I was not.
[00:21:06] Yeah.
[00:21:06] Just to tell you an example of like, wait, what is Rob and Akiva Anita Podcast?
[00:21:09] We did one episode.
[00:21:10] It was called Siblings Were Dating.
[00:21:13] And then we had people, we met two people.
[00:21:16] And are these people dating or are they siblings?
[00:21:19] Not every episode is like that.
[00:21:22] But we do have some fun games from time to time, much like Twish.
[00:21:26] And yeah, I thought Brooks and his brother were people in a relationship and just in a family
[00:21:33] relationship.
[00:21:35] That's right.
[00:21:36] Okay.
[00:21:36] You should have had Shannon and Boone from Lost.
[00:21:39] Yes.
[00:21:40] That's a good dating or siblings.
[00:21:43] Yes.
[00:21:44] Yes.
[00:21:44] Because it's sort of, you know, you're kind of right on either account.
[00:21:47] Yeah.
[00:21:47] Sort of.
[00:21:48] Okay.
[00:21:48] And Brooks, where in the world are you?
[00:21:51] Ontario, Canada.
[00:21:52] Okay.
[00:21:53] All right.
[00:21:53] Did you see Taylor Swift recently?
[00:21:55] I did not.
[00:21:56] Okay.
[00:21:57] All right.
[00:21:57] You might be the only one.
[00:21:59] Yeah.
[00:22:00] All right.
[00:22:01] Jordan, what categories do we have in store for us today?
[00:22:05] All right.
[00:22:05] So the seasons that we have today, we have Exile Islands.
[00:22:10] We have Gabon.
[00:22:12] We have one world, 44, 45, and it's back, baby.
[00:22:18] The mystery box.
[00:22:20] Oh boy.
[00:22:21] Here we go.
[00:22:22] All right.
[00:22:23] Mystery box is back and better than ever, baby.
[00:22:26] Yes.
[00:22:26] Okay.
[00:22:27] Brooks, do you know about the mystery box?
[00:22:29] I don't.
[00:22:30] Okay.
[00:22:30] You want to explain the mystery box?
[00:22:32] Jordan?
[00:22:33] The mystery box could involve any season.
[00:22:36] Lost is kind of a mystery box, if you think about it.
[00:22:38] It is, actually.
[00:22:38] I was kind of thinking that.
[00:22:41] For the mystery box, I don't tell you the season because the answer is going to be the
[00:22:47] season or seasons that I'm asking about.
[00:22:49] So it would give it away if I told you the season.
[00:22:52] Brooks, it's kind of the new era of Twish.
[00:22:54] Okay.
[00:22:54] Mm-hmm.
[00:22:55] Reinventing the way the game is played.
[00:22:57] Mm-hmm.
[00:22:58] All right.
[00:22:58] So.
[00:23:01] Where are we going, Brooks?
[00:23:02] Oh, I'd start.
[00:23:03] Cool.
[00:23:03] Let's go 45.
[00:23:04] Okay.
[00:23:05] So Survivor, 45.
[00:23:07] And let me scroll down to the question.
[00:23:10] Who was the third wheel, aka the other player who went on the helicopter reward with D and
[00:23:16] Austin?
[00:23:18] Okay.
[00:23:19] I think I know this.
[00:23:23] I'll just run through the other players in case I'm wrong.
[00:23:28] Rob can steal if I get this wrong, right?
[00:23:30] Yes.
[00:23:30] And you can also go, you can ask for the multiple choice.
[00:23:32] And in that case, you would get one point for a correct answer.
[00:23:35] But Rob can also steal if you take the multiple choice.
[00:23:38] And am I allowed to know how many people are left at this point?
[00:23:41] No.
[00:23:42] Okay.
[00:23:45] Only if it's written in the question.
[00:23:47] All right.
[00:23:48] I'm pretty sure it was Katura.
[00:23:50] Katura is correct.
[00:23:51] Brooks, you start with two points.
[00:23:53] Yeah.
[00:23:53] Nailed it.
[00:23:55] Katura crashed.
[00:23:56] Awkward third wheel.
[00:23:57] Awkward third wheel.
[00:23:58] Not a date.
[00:23:58] Not a date.
[00:23:59] They weren't dating.
[00:23:59] But it was awkward.
[00:24:00] Yeah.
[00:24:01] Awkward third wheel.
[00:24:02] It was like a date.
[00:24:03] It was a date.
[00:24:04] Yeah.
[00:24:04] It was kind of a date.
[00:24:05] Yeah.
[00:24:05] The first date did not go much further.
[00:24:08] They didn't stay dating, but it was like a date.
[00:24:10] Exactly.
[00:24:10] Yeah.
[00:24:11] So Katura was the third wheel.
[00:24:13] And Brooks, you start with two points.
[00:24:15] And 45 is off the board.
[00:24:17] Rob, where are we going next?
[00:24:18] All right.
[00:24:18] I'll go to 44.
[00:24:20] All right.
[00:24:20] 44.
[00:24:21] Staying in the new era, who played an idol at the final six tribal council?
[00:24:27] Hmm.
[00:24:30] Um, believe kind of a controversial move at the time.
[00:24:37] I believe Heidi played the idol at the final six tribal council.
[00:24:41] So Heidi, I can tell you at the final six tribal council did not receive any votes.
[00:24:47] Uh, Jamie was voted out and Carolyn got two votes, but Heidi was the one who played an
[00:24:51] idol.
[00:24:51] I did not negate votes, but that is the correct answer.
[00:24:54] We are tied two to two.
[00:24:56] And Brooks, he gets a little bit of hubbub of like, why did Heidi play the idol?
[00:25:00] Heidi's like, look, yeah, I just got to get through.
[00:25:04] They should have seen fire better than anybody else in the history of the show.
[00:25:08] Okay.
[00:25:08] I just need to make sure I get there.
[00:25:10] Yeah.
[00:25:10] And people would come to come to realize a season later.
[00:25:13] Once they see how fast I make the fire, there'll be no stopping me.
[00:25:18] Exactly.
[00:25:18] And then you'll get, you'll get one vote.
[00:25:20] But, but, but then, you know, one, one year later after 44, we see what happens when you
[00:25:26] don't play your idol and that's a lot worse.
[00:25:28] So I kind of see what Heidi was going for.
[00:25:30] So we're tied to two and Brooks, you get to choose the next one.
[00:25:35] All right.
[00:25:36] I've been watching survivor from the start, but I became a super fan around season 24.
[00:25:40] So I'll go with 24.
[00:25:42] Okay.
[00:25:42] So survivor 24 that made you be a super fan Brooks.
[00:25:46] Uh, I think I just found some other friends who liked survivor.
[00:25:49] And I just got more into it around that time.
[00:25:51] And yeah.
[00:25:52] Okay.
[00:25:52] He was all in on Colton.
[00:25:53] He loved Colton.
[00:25:54] And Ken's relevant is my favorite player of all time.
[00:25:56] So.
[00:25:57] All right.
[00:25:58] So let's see what the question is going to be about.
[00:26:01] Kat won the family reward with her cousin, Robbie, after getting on all fours and acting
[00:26:05] like a dog.
[00:26:06] She was later sent to the dog pound after being voted out unanimously.
[00:26:10] Who did Kat vote for at this tribal council?
[00:26:12] Sent to the dog pound.
[00:26:14] The dog pound.
[00:26:15] She went to Cleveland.
[00:26:17] She went to the house.
[00:26:19] Okay.
[00:26:20] This is what I was worried about.
[00:26:21] The questions were you asking.
[00:26:22] I've never in 24 years ever heard a player being voted out described as being sent to
[00:26:28] the dog pound.
[00:26:30] Well, again, we're reinventing things on Twitch.
[00:26:33] This is the new era of Twitch.
[00:26:37] Okay.
[00:26:39] I don't know this for sure.
[00:26:40] I have to think she was voting for Tarzan.
[00:26:44] Tarzan is incorrect.
[00:26:46] Oh, no.
[00:26:47] Rob, you get to steal a point here if you get the right answer.
[00:26:50] Tough question.
[00:26:51] This is tough.
[00:26:54] I'm trying to think.
[00:26:57] I guess I said, did she outlast?
[00:27:01] I guess she outlasted Troy.
[00:27:03] Can I hear the question one more time?
[00:27:05] Sure.
[00:27:05] Kat won the family reward with her cousin, Robbie, after getting all fours and acting like
[00:27:10] a dog.
[00:27:11] She was later sent to the dog pound after being voted out unanimously.
[00:27:14] Who did Kat vote for at this tribal council?
[00:27:21] It's not Tarzan.
[00:27:28] I'm trying to think of like, I feel like that she might have gotten sold a bill of goods.
[00:27:38] This is a tough question.
[00:27:40] I'm going to say that she is voting for, I'm really, I'm torn between Christina or Sabrina
[00:27:59] about who she could have been voting for.
[00:28:03] I'm on the one hand, I want to say Christina, but then I kind of feel like that Christina
[00:28:07] was probably in the people that got duped on this vote.
[00:28:13] And then I'll say, I'll say it was Sabrina.
[00:28:19] Sabrina for the lead.
[00:28:21] So Christina was not duped on this vote.
[00:28:23] This was a unanimous vote.
[00:28:24] So the only person duped was, was Kat.
[00:28:27] It is Sabrina though.
[00:28:28] So Rob, you take the lead with one point.
[00:28:30] You have three, uh, you have a three to two lead and you get to choose the next question.
[00:28:35] Okay.
[00:28:35] I will go with, uh, give me the mystery box.
[00:28:41] Ooh, the mystery box, the secret mystery box.
[00:28:44] This is going to be a special old era survivor mystery box of the seven single digit survivor
[00:28:52] seasons that Rob Sesternino did not play on.
[00:28:54] So we're taking, uh, we're taking Amazon and all stars out of the equation for fairness
[00:28:58] sake.
[00:28:59] Only two included final six votes that had unanimous five to one vote outs.
[00:29:05] The six place boots on these seasons were Colleen, Amber, Kim powers, the general, Jake Billingsley,
[00:29:14] Krista and scout.
[00:29:16] Which two seasons included the unanimous votes?
[00:29:23] Um, okay.
[00:29:26] So if I had to, uh, so sorry, did you say scout for, for Danawatu final six, final six boot,
[00:29:35] Jordan?
[00:29:39] Uh, when that scout, wait a minute, I say scout shouldn't be scout.
[00:29:42] Thank you, Brooks.
[00:29:43] Hold on.
[00:29:43] Hold on.
[00:29:44] Do you want to host Twitch next season?
[00:29:46] Oh, I, I surely could not.
[00:29:47] No, it's, it's, it's not, it's going to be Amy.
[00:29:50] It's going to be Amy.
[00:29:51] I haven't.
[00:29:51] Oh yeah.
[00:29:52] It's a, it's Amy, but the question still stands.
[00:29:54] Okay.
[00:29:55] All right.
[00:29:55] Well, and you're answering with the seasons, not with the contestants.
[00:29:58] Right.
[00:29:59] Right.
[00:30:00] Um, a five to one vote, not including when I was there.
[00:30:06] Um, all right.
[00:30:08] I'm not going to spend a ton of time trying to, uh, figure this out, but, um, I'll say
[00:30:29] it was Borneo and I'm going to say, um, I'm, I'm torn between two other seasons.
[00:30:42] Um, Borneo.
[00:30:44] I feel very good about I'm, I'm torn between two seasons.
[00:30:49] Um, I'm going to say Borneo and I'm going to say Australia.
[00:30:59] That is incorrect.
[00:31:02] So Brooks, you can steal a point here and tie up the game.
[00:31:06] Uh, so again, these are the seven single digit seasons that Rob did not play.
[00:31:10] Uh, two of these seasons had a unanimous five to one vote at the final six, uh, name the
[00:31:16] seasons and I could give you the players again, if you need me to, but name the seasons that
[00:31:20] had the unanimous votes five to one at the final six.
[00:31:24] So Rob was confident about Borneo, but I did not think Borneo was unanimous.
[00:31:29] Um, I did think Australia, so I'll go Australia and I will say Marquesas.
[00:31:41] Marquesas is correct.
[00:31:43] The other one was Jake Billingsley in Thailand.
[00:31:47] So you were both incorrect.
[00:31:48] I was between Thailand and Australia.
[00:31:52] You know, it's interesting.
[00:31:53] I, if we had gotten to the multiple choice, the other seasons I had involved were, uh,
[00:31:57] I had, uh, Africa out back.
[00:31:59] I didn't actually have Borneo involves, uh, Kelly, uh, did not vote with the majority on
[00:32:05] that vote.
[00:32:06] Uh, and then in, uh, Colby did, uh, didn't vote for Amber.
[00:32:09] Uh, he, he voted for Roger.
[00:32:11] So it was Thailand and Marquesas, uh, Rob, the jet, the general and, uh, Jake.
[00:32:16] So tough question.
[00:32:17] Nobody gets points on that one.
[00:32:19] It is still three to two.
[00:32:20] Uh, Brooks.
[00:32:22] Who, who chose the question?
[00:32:23] Uh, that was actually, no, Rob did.
[00:32:25] So Brooks, you get to choose the next question.
[00:32:27] All right.
[00:32:28] Um, exile Island or Gabon.
[00:32:31] Yeah.
[00:32:32] I'll go exile Island.
[00:32:34] Okay.
[00:32:34] Okay.
[00:32:35] Of any player who had ever been on the Kasaya tribe pre-merge, who was the first to be voted
[00:32:40] out in the post-merge portion of the game?
[00:32:45] Okay.
[00:32:45] This is this week in survivor.
[00:32:48] So.
[00:32:50] Kasaya tribe pre-merge.
[00:32:52] Okay.
[00:32:53] Rob probably knows the soul tribe, so I'll talk it through.
[00:32:55] It's not going to be Aris.
[00:32:57] It's not going to be Danielle.
[00:32:58] It's not going to be Sari.
[00:33:01] Uh, Bruce was not voted out.
[00:33:04] Shane was after that.
[00:33:05] Courtney was after that.
[00:33:06] Okay.
[00:33:06] So they were all who was voted post-merge.
[00:33:12] So it could be Courtney, but I'm not walking that in yet.
[00:33:15] Um, who was on the original Kasaya tribe?
[00:33:21] Was that the older women?
[00:33:25] Viveros, Bayonetta, Lamina.
[00:33:27] Yeah, I think that was, and they all got voted out.
[00:33:29] So yeah, I'm going to say Courtney.
[00:33:30] Courtney is correct.
[00:33:31] You didn't fall for the, uh, the Bruce trick because he was medevaced.
[00:33:34] Uh, and yet the, uh, the Kasaya tribe was the older women's tribe.
[00:33:37] So, uh, and it was obviously not Sari.
[00:33:38] So Courtney, this is the famous, uh, three, two, one vote.
[00:33:41] I feel like I've asked a lot of trivia questions about this specific vote because it's so, so
[00:33:44] historic.
[00:33:45] Uh, Brooks, you get, uh, two more points.
[00:33:48] So you're at four Rob is at three.
[00:33:50] So here are.
[00:33:51] So a lot of scenarios here.
[00:33:53] Yeah, we can, uh, you can take the multiple choice and get it right and force a tiebreaker.
[00:33:58] Uh, you can get a two pointer for the win or if you get it wrong.
[00:34:01] You lose the game no matter what Brooks does.
[00:34:03] So Rob, we are going to survivor Gabon at the final six.
[00:34:09] Who did Bob promise to give the immunity necklace to if he won the challenge yet ultimately reneged
[00:34:14] on this deal at tribal council?
[00:34:20] Okay.
[00:34:20] Okay.
[00:34:21] I'm going to go for the win or the win for the win.
[00:34:26] Okay.
[00:34:26] For two points.
[00:34:28] Much like I thought, well, I was going to refer, I was going to reference a football game from
[00:34:35] last week, but I've remembered like, uh, who's going to, who's going to even remember that
[00:34:39] by then?
[00:34:41] Um, I am going to say that he said he was going to give it to Kenny.
[00:34:48] So Kenny, Kenny, Rob, you will get two points if you are correct.
[00:34:54] And I'm not reneging on this deal because that is correct.
[00:34:57] It was Kenny.
[00:34:58] You win by a score of five to four tough week.
[00:35:01] I think, I think that there was some tough questions in this one, but that is a quick
[00:35:04] answer.
[00:35:05] Uh, yep.
[00:35:06] Bob clearly Bob would have made one of the dumbest moves in survivor history.
[00:35:09] If he did this, he wouldn't have been exactly Bob had a, Bob had a good point.
[00:35:14] I'm on Bob's side here.
[00:35:16] So before we get to the verbal rebus, there's a little wrinkle in this.
[00:35:19] The scores, the scores are where they are.
[00:35:20] We're not, we're not changing the scores here.
[00:35:22] This is not for points.
[00:35:22] What is this?
[00:35:23] One of the six questions that I asked you today was written by the great homers are here.
[00:35:29] I want you guys to guess which of the, uh, the six questions was written by Omer.
[00:35:35] So we had, uh, I'm not going to ask all the questions again, but we had exile islands,
[00:35:39] Gabon one world, 44, 45 and mystery box.
[00:35:44] Mystery box.
[00:35:45] Hmm.
[00:35:46] What did Omer write?
[00:35:47] This was going in my head.
[00:35:49] I wasn't going to actually use this as a tiebreaker.
[00:35:51] I did say to Omer that I might, but I realized it's probably not that fair.
[00:35:55] I'm locked in.
[00:35:56] Okay.
[00:35:57] Rob's locked in.
[00:35:57] So Rob, you're not going to promise not to change your answer.
[00:36:00] Brooks.
[00:36:00] I won't.
[00:36:00] What do you think was the Omer question?
[00:36:03] None of them are particularly outlandish, which is what I would expect from Omer, but
[00:36:10] I'll go with one.
[00:36:11] That's kind of a cool stat, which is the Panama one, the Panama one.
[00:36:14] Okay.
[00:36:14] It is not the Panama one.
[00:36:16] I think it's one world.
[00:36:17] You think it's the dog pounds?
[00:36:20] Um, well, I didn't think he wrote the wording of the question, but, uh, I, I, I wrote
[00:36:26] it down.
[00:36:26] One word for a word.
[00:36:27] I think I feel better about that.
[00:36:28] I think I feel better about that.
[00:36:29] It is one world.
[00:36:30] But so, so if you didn't realize it was the word, I feel like the dog pound was the clue.
[00:36:33] It was the clue there.
[00:36:34] Yeah.
[00:36:34] But Omer, Omer being of that, um, what was it about the one world question that was
[00:36:38] not K-Lishy?
[00:36:39] I just thought that it was a, like what kind of information?
[00:36:43] Like, I didn't think that either of the new era questions would have been particularly
[00:36:47] interesting to him.
[00:36:48] I didn't think he did the mystery box and, uh, you know, it could have been, um, it could
[00:36:53] have been one of the old school questions, but I kind of thought that that was, uh, I think
[00:36:56] he's not a basic trivia kind of guy.
[00:36:59] No, he, he, um, he, he says that, uh, one world under underrated season.
[00:37:04] Uh, so, okay.
[00:37:05] Now we are going to go to the verbal rebus.
