Club Condo is back, and it's time to dive into episode 6 of Survivor 47![00:00:00] Big Club Boogie is a state of mind.
[00:00:02] Oh.
[00:00:02] It's like you could call it Club Condo.
[00:00:04] You could call it whatever you want.
[00:00:06] It's just a state of mind.
[00:00:08] You got me spinning, babe.
[00:00:09] You got me wild.
[00:00:11] You're just a sugarcoat assassin with a cinnamon smile.
[00:00:15] You got me dancing in your kitchen with a lightsaber.
[00:00:19] Every person serves their purpose.
[00:00:21] That's a Club Condo.
[00:00:22] Club Condo.
[00:00:24] So did I full tilt Boogie at the sanctuary?
[00:00:27] You could full tilt Boogie at the sanctuary.
[00:00:29] I don't know if you did or not.
[00:00:30] Oh, I did.
[00:00:31] Yes, that's right.
[00:00:32] Club Condo is back here at the merge to talk about everything that's going on in Survivor
[00:00:41] 47 and you can say what you want, but Survivor 47.
[00:00:49] No one's gonna say Survivor 47 is boring.
[00:00:52] No one's gonna say it's boring and a guy who's never boring.
[00:00:55] It's Chappelle.
[00:00:57] Hey, Rob.
[00:00:58] I'm very excited to be here to talk to you.
[00:01:00] You know why?
[00:01:01] Why?
[00:01:02] We had a great episode of Survivor.
[00:01:04] This is a banger.
[00:01:05] I think this is one of the...
[00:01:06] This is gonna be a standout from the season.
[00:01:08] I think these last two have been really good.
[00:01:12] Survivor 47 has seemingly found its stride because I'm in.
[00:01:15] I'm all in on the ride right now.
[00:01:17] Yeah, I don't think it ever was like out of stride.
[00:01:20] I mean, the last season that we did this for Club Condo premiered in Survivor 46 and we
[00:01:26] were like, it got bad.
[00:01:29] Yeah, we had the Ballad of Banu and it lasted roughly four episodes.
[00:01:33] It was more like, it was only like three episodes, but it was a long three episode stretch
[00:01:37] where it was like, hey, Banu is having a hard time.
[00:01:41] Then it was like, hey, maybe I should vote out Banu.
[00:01:43] And then by the third one, we're like, okay, he wants to go, let him go.
[00:01:46] And then he was there for one more episode, you know?
[00:01:47] So it was really drawn out.
[00:01:49] This episode, we got the Ballad of a Fallen Hero Rome here.
[00:01:53] And it was one episode, one episode of just a rise and fall of one of the bigger characters
[00:01:59] that we've seen this season.
[00:02:00] And yeah, a banger.
[00:02:02] I think that a lot of people felt a lot of ways about this episode.
[00:02:05] And so that is a good thing in Survivor because you will be talking about it.
[00:02:09] It made you feel something.
[00:02:10] Yeah, very Drew Christie.
[00:02:12] Very, what is it?
[00:02:13] Chris Noble.
[00:02:14] Chris Noble.
[00:02:15] You know, we've seen this tell his oldest time and I like it.
[00:02:19] I'm not going to lie to you.
[00:02:20] Anytime Survivor breaks the mold and just really highlight somebody, I'm always excited.
[00:02:24] So the beginning, the end, it was a great episode.
[00:02:28] Yeah.
[00:02:29] Well, starting with the beginning, we should have known that something was up when the episode
[00:02:35] started with this.
[00:02:36] Previously on Survivor.
[00:02:39] This Rome guy is playing really aggressive.
[00:02:41] Can I have a minute alone?
[00:02:42] No, it's Survivor.
[00:02:44] I don't have to.
[00:02:44] Really hard.
[00:02:45] You just threatened me.
[00:02:46] That's not a threat.
[00:02:47] That's an ultimatum.
[00:02:47] And you best believe Rome's causing a whole lot of ruckus.
[00:02:52] That's kind of dope.
[00:02:53] Yeah, he was.
[00:02:55] Rob, okay.
[00:02:56] Look, look.
[00:02:57] Okay.
[00:02:58] We saw a lot of Rome in this episode.
[00:03:00] We actually didn't see.
[00:03:01] I watched it again and I was like, we actually don't see that much Rome.
[00:03:04] We see Rome at the beginning and then we see a lot of Rome at the end, right?
[00:03:08] Like when the terrible turn on Rome.
[00:03:09] Yeah.
[00:03:09] But the middle is kind of quiet.
[00:03:11] So throughout the episode, I wasn't convinced that just because we got that big moment at
[00:03:14] the beginning from Rome, the previously on, I wasn't convinced that it was definitely Rome.
[00:03:19] But all that aside, Rob, you were the original super fan.
[00:03:25] How would you have felt if Jeff was like, hey, Cestino, today is your day.
[00:03:29] You can narrate the previously on and I'm going to use it in the episode.
[00:03:32] You would have lost your mind.
[00:03:33] Yeah.
[00:03:33] I think I would have been very excited the first time I played.
[00:03:38] I think now I would say like, this is a trap.
[00:03:42] This is a trap.
[00:03:42] Yeah.
[00:03:43] Yeah.
[00:03:43] This is a trap.
[00:03:44] I don't actually want this, but yeah.
[00:03:47] But I also don't think that Jeff would have let that happen back way back when.
[00:03:52] Yeah.
[00:03:53] Yeah.
[00:03:54] Back then it was, Survivor takes itself seriously now, but back then it was like getting itself
[00:03:58] really seriously.
[00:03:59] First of all, I had to beat those studio allegations.
[00:04:01] People were like, it's made on a lot like big brother.
[00:04:05] It's not real.
[00:04:07] These people aren't really surviving.
[00:04:09] He wasn't having it.
[00:04:10] You were out there making campy jokes, singing songs that Survivor didn't have the rights
[00:04:14] to.
[00:04:15] You were breaking all the rules and Jeff was like trying to let you know that really
[00:04:18] didn't sense.
[00:04:18] And, you know, you're lucky to be here.
[00:04:20] Um, but now, well, yeah, it's Lucy goosey.
[00:04:23] It is Lucy goosey.
[00:04:24] Uh, not to say like, uh, too much back in my day, but, uh, I'll always remember I got
[00:04:29] in trouble at the first tribal council.
[00:04:31] Cause I talked about like when I, Hey, when I watched this on home on TV at home on, and
[00:04:36] they were like, Hey, we don't talk about like, we watched it on TV.
[00:04:40] You're here.
[00:04:41] We're not talking about that.
[00:04:42] Like, Oh, okay.
[00:04:42] I got it.
[00:04:43] I didn't know.
[00:04:44] I had nobody told me to do that.
[00:04:45] There was no meta to talk about.
[00:04:47] It was just like, you're not on TV.
[00:04:48] You're on survivor.
[00:04:49] And then everybody else is looking at you through some type of like television window.
[00:04:53] But this is not a show.
[00:04:55] These cameras, these microphones, this is real.
[00:04:58] This is real life.
[00:04:59] Now.
[00:05:00] So I was like, this is a show.
[00:05:01] All the people who are on the show have seen the show.
[00:05:04] They know the show.
[00:05:05] They've been to show.
[00:05:06] They all have a story about when they started watching the show.
[00:05:08] So pretending that it's not a show doesn't do survivor.
[00:05:11] Any favors lean into it.
[00:05:12] And honestly, I just couldn't think of a cooler moment for any one single survivor
[00:05:17] player who's going to get eliminated.
[00:05:18] Like if you have to go out, at least you get to be the face of the episode beginning.
[00:05:23] Like you bookend it, you know, open it and then even close it by hosting tribal council.
[00:05:27] Okay.
[00:05:28] So there was the big moment where Jeff says to Rome.
[00:05:31] Okay.
[00:05:31] Hey, Rome.
[00:05:33] Oh, you don't like the advantage?
[00:05:34] Why don't you sit in the chair and explain it?
[00:05:37] And it doesn't really take much like a room's like, no, no, no, no.
[00:05:41] I don't think so.
[00:05:42] He's like, he's like, oh, you sure?
[00:05:44] Okay.
[00:05:44] I'm in.
[00:05:46] Jumps up, sits in Jeff's chair and takes over for Jeff.
[00:05:50] Now, some people did not like this.
[00:05:52] Okay.
[00:05:53] So it might bloom posted on Twitter.
[00:05:58] Survivor.
[00:05:59] Take your child to work day.
[00:06:01] Chrissy Hoffbeck said this moment was a disrespect to the game.
[00:06:05] Nothing against the person in the chair or the person standing next to it.
[00:06:09] But dot, dot, dot.
[00:06:11] No.
[00:06:14] Um, you know, um, I can see the ire.
[00:06:18] Right.
[00:06:18] Cause it's so against everything that survivor used to be.
[00:06:21] It's so anti survivor to have someone sitting in Jeff's chair.
[00:06:24] It's almost like sacrilege, you know?
[00:06:26] So it's like, oh no, that's a specific chair.
[00:06:28] That's for one person.
[00:06:29] Only Jeff is the guy who can do this, but Jeff is having a good time.
[00:06:33] Jeff is having a good time.
[00:06:34] And Rome is literally Rome.
[00:06:36] The host.
[00:06:36] He, this is what he does.
[00:06:37] He does e-sports hosting.
[00:06:39] So he's dying for this opportunity.
[00:06:41] And I just thought it was really cool of Jeff to give him that again, Rob in this situation.
[00:06:45] If, if Jeff tells you first time you're playing survivor, the ham that you are just soaking
[00:06:51] up all the TV time.
[00:06:51] You have more confessionals than any human and survivor to that point.
[00:06:54] You think you wouldn't have gotten that seat?
[00:06:56] Sure.
[00:06:57] I think I would have, uh, I, but you know, back in my day, I had to like make a fake, uh,
[00:07:02] Jeff seat, uh, act like Jeff.
[00:07:03] Uh, but that I think that this is only done in the context of that Jeff knows he is walking
[00:07:11] out the door.
[00:07:13] Uh, that it is like a little bit of like, uh, it's giving like make a wish to, you know,
[00:07:19] this young man who's not going to be here for much longer.
[00:07:22] We're going to let him have a special moment that, and Jeff knows this, you know, that,
[00:07:27] that something bad is about to happen to him.
[00:07:29] And Chappelle, it's kind of like, could you imagine this like on game of Thrones where, uh,
[00:07:33] like somebody is like in the court and is like explaining something to like King Joffrey
[00:07:40] and Joffrey, uh, a different Joffrey, uh, he's like, uh, oh, why don't you explain it
[00:07:46] to all of us?
[00:07:47] Sidney, please.
[00:07:48] Sidney, Iron Throne.
[00:07:49] Sidney, Iron Throne.
[00:07:51] And why don't you explain it to us?
[00:07:52] Like, okay.
[00:07:53] What do I do?
[00:07:54] Okay.
[00:07:54] Let's play the whole thing.
[00:07:56] All right.
[00:07:56] Okay.
[00:07:56] So you get these dragons, dragons that you know, everybody knows, uh, there's magic in
[00:08:00] the seven kingdoms.
[00:08:01] Uh, and you know, that person is going to not make it to the end of the episode.
[00:08:07] Right.
[00:08:08] That is true.
[00:08:08] That is true.
[00:08:09] But I also, I don't want to push back against that too much, but I do think in this season
[00:08:14] where there's so many people who are like podcaster adjacent that there's a non zero
[00:08:18] chance this could happen to somebody who wasn't going home.
[00:08:20] You think there's no world where Rob would have been, I mean, or where Jeff would have
[00:08:23] been like, John Lovett.
[00:08:25] Do you want to talk to people?
[00:08:27] You, you have a podcast.
[00:08:28] You don't think John Lovett could have got that seat.
[00:08:30] I don't think that Jeff would have done it in the same way.
[00:08:34] I really, it's like, here's a moment that's like outside of the game for you, for your
[00:08:39] real, let me give this to you.
[00:08:41] But I don't think he gives that to a person that is still in the game.
[00:08:47] That's still a survivor.
[00:08:49] Gotcha.
[00:08:50] Well, you don't.
[00:08:50] Yeah.
[00:08:51] You probably definitely aren't going to get all of the things, but we've seen moments
[00:08:54] like this before.
[00:08:55] Um, kind of similar, right?
[00:08:56] Like I remember it's I'm going back to the previously on part, but you remember, um, in
[00:09:01] Nicaragua where they're like, remember sash.
[00:09:04] That is my, that is my favorite interest of any survivor season of all time.
[00:09:08] Cause they're like, they normally do like previously on survivor and Jeff tells us everything,
[00:09:11] but this particular time he goes previously on survivor.
[00:09:14] Have you ever met sash?
[00:09:16] Everything was going great for says, yeah, but the world's it's, it was the sash sitcom
[00:09:22] and sash goes all the way to the final travel council.
[00:09:25] I don't know why they get this aside mid season to just let's spend the sash narrative starting
[00:09:30] right now.
[00:09:31] So I like when they highlight people like this and give them their moment.
[00:09:34] Um, it could be a good thing for Rome.
[00:09:36] You know, this could be a big moment.
[00:09:37] I think that in the hot seat with so much pressure, the hot lights on in Jeff seat,
[00:09:42] with all his, uh, you know, uh, his castmates just watching on, he explained the, uh, the
[00:09:47] problem with the advantage, you know, he wasn't wrong.
[00:09:51] He wasn't wrong.
[00:09:52] He didn't lie.
[00:09:53] So yeah, for Jeff to even be able to put himself in a situation where he says, okay,
[00:09:57] yeah, we might've screwed that up.
[00:09:59] Talk about it.
[00:10:00] Even though he knows Rome's going home.
[00:10:01] It's still a big moment for, uh, for Jeff too, because the old Jeff would not have
[00:10:05] done that.
[00:10:05] You cannot, you cannot convince me to believe Jeff would have given somebody a platform to kind
[00:10:10] of this one of his twists.
[00:10:11] I just couldn't see that.
[00:10:12] But it's almost like, uh, a bit where it's like, you know, uh, Dr. Evil is like, uh,
[00:10:18] okay, sit in the chair.
[00:10:20] And then it's like, he's about to push the trap door button.
[00:10:23] You know?
[00:10:23] Okay.
[00:10:24] You know, you sat in the chair.
[00:10:26] Yeah.
[00:10:26] The injector seat.
[00:10:28] Yeah.
[00:10:28] I feel like that's a little bit of what it was.
[00:10:31] Yeah.
[00:10:32] Listen, it could be both things.
[00:10:33] It was still fun.
[00:10:34] It was still fun.
[00:10:35] I think that, um, if you were rooting against Rome, it's like, you know, it's the, like,
[00:10:40] you just waiting or salivating.
[00:10:41] Cause you see it coming.
[00:10:42] You know, it's another one of those votes where we get a lot of the votes are pretty
[00:10:47] straightforward.
[00:10:47] We know exactly who they are.
[00:10:49] We've seen the Micronesia crew do that before to Eric Reichenbach where they're all just,
[00:10:53] this is what we would call a life lesson.
[00:10:57] Exactly.
[00:10:58] This is the dumbest move that survivor players ever made ever.
[00:11:00] You know, those kinds of moments.
[00:11:02] We had one again.
[00:11:03] It's been a while.
[00:11:04] I like it.
[00:11:05] I like when they do stuff like this.
[00:11:06] Yeah.
[00:11:06] I thought this was a great, a great.
[00:11:08] I mean, it could have been a potentially boring vote.
[00:11:10] I don't know how many ultimately, uh, Rome votes there were.
[00:11:13] If it was like, you know, nine to two to one or something like that.
[00:11:18] Uh, so it could have been a lopsided, boring vote.
[00:11:21] And, you know, survivor did a lot to make this, uh, a fun episode of the show.
[00:11:25] If you have to go out, you either want to go out where everybody's like that person
[00:11:29] was robbed and they were right.
[00:11:31] And everybody should have listened to them.
[00:11:32] Or you want to go out in such a blaze of glory, you know, to where it's spectacular
[00:11:37] and people are always talking about it.
[00:11:39] Yeah.
[00:11:39] That's why despite Drew Christie being almost a nothing survivor player, his name still
[00:11:42] comes up.
[00:11:43] You know, it just the moments you, this is a television show.
[00:11:46] You want people to be remembered.
[00:11:48] You want to be able to people to go back and say, make sure you watch this episode.
[00:11:52] I think that's how you solidify yourself.
[00:11:54] You either, you, you either, um, you know, um, go, you either win or you become a memorable
[00:11:59] survivor character.
[00:12:00] And I think this is how you do it.
[00:12:01] Yeah. Okay.
[00:12:02] So Rome was definitely feeling it going into tribal council that night.
[00:12:07] The fact there's 13 people in the game and I can corral this many people to vote my way.
[00:12:12] That must say a lot about how I'm playing the game.
[00:12:14] It does.
[00:12:15] Uh, a lot was said.
[00:12:16] Absolutely does.
[00:12:16] Yeah, absolutely.
[00:12:17] Okay.
[00:12:18] Um, but Rome was the person that said the most about how he was playing the game.
[00:12:22] Chappelle, could you help me out with, with this reference that he talked about?
[00:12:26] He compared his game to basketball.
[00:12:28] This ain't even magic verse Larry.
[00:12:30] This is Michael Jordan versus Kirk Heinrich.
[00:12:33] Well, why is Kirk Heinrich catching strays from Rome?
[00:12:36] Of all the bulls players to catch a stray.
[00:12:40] Um, I don't know.
[00:12:41] Is, is Roma a big, uh, Chicago bulls fan?
[00:12:44] I mean, he does wear a lot of red and black, but I don't know if that's from the casting
[00:12:50] survivor.
[00:12:52] Yeah.
[00:12:52] He's like this way.
[00:12:53] This makes sense.
[00:12:54] Uh, yeah, I know he was a Kobe guy, so I'm not sure.
[00:12:57] Uh, I don't get the sense that he's a bulls fan.
[00:13:00] He might just be a basketball guy.
[00:13:02] Uh, listen, there are probably very few NBA fans today that are name dropping Kirk Heinrich
[00:13:08] in any situation of all the players who ever come across, uh, Michael Jordan's desk.
[00:13:13] I don't think this is the one that you go, you go to, if you don't know what you're talking
[00:13:16] about.
[00:13:17] So yeah, I think that, uh, although he might be a Kobe guy, it sounds like a bit of a basketball
[00:13:21] historian.
[00:13:22] Maybe.
[00:13:22] All right.
[00:13:23] So Chappelle in the episode, we saw that Rome got into some trouble, uh, really trying
[00:13:27] to stir the pot.
[00:13:29] Uh, and it was odd because he came into the merge and they had this, um, advantage that
[00:13:35] was hidden.
[00:13:36] And there's a secret scene about how like, Hey, I don't want to, you know, go too hard,
[00:13:41] too fast.
[00:13:41] I'm not going to go out and look for the advantage and try to like, uh, get people threatened
[00:13:46] by me.
[00:13:47] Uh, but then he does a lot with Kyle.
[00:13:51] Uh, and he really like pumps Kyle for some information and then very freely distributes,
[00:13:56] uh, this information around to the rest of the tribe.
[00:13:59] Uh, he ends up going too far when he goes to Tiana and says that Kyle is saying that you're
[00:14:05] a threat.
[00:14:06] And then, uh, Tiana says that doesn't sound like Kyle, even though he may have said he did,
[00:14:11] uh, you know, seemingly say that to Rome.
[00:14:14] And so Kyle fact checked, um, did not like this, uh, really made it a mission to get Rome
[00:14:21] out.
[00:14:21] What a dick.
[00:14:24] What a dick.
[00:14:25] We speculated.
[00:14:26] We said, who could the dick be in this episode?
[00:14:29] We saw the preview last season, uh, last episode.
[00:14:32] And we said, okay, let's narrow it down.
[00:14:34] And we were like, it's Rome, right?
[00:14:36] It's Rome.
[00:14:37] Yeah.
[00:14:37] And so we, we, we assumed it could be Rome.
[00:14:39] There was some possible other options on the board, but I don't think anybody was shocked
[00:14:42] to find out that the big reveal here was going to be Rome.
[00:14:45] Not to say that Rome is a dick, but throughout the season, he's not had the most glowing reviews.
[00:14:49] If we were going to do a dick draft.
[00:14:50] A dick draft.
[00:14:52] He's number one on the bullet.
[00:14:53] Yeah.
[00:14:54] Now Chappelle that as a survivor historian, is this the first time in survivor history
[00:15:03] that, that, that a player has been referred to on the show as a dick?
[00:15:10] Damn man.
[00:15:11] What a dick.
[00:15:12] What a dick.
[00:15:13] You know, it's hard to, it's hard to really say, right?
[00:15:17] Because we've seen a lot of insults on survivor.
[00:15:19] Um, my favorites being like, like, who is this jackass?
[00:15:23] You know, like those are my favorite moments where someone just kind of like that.
[00:15:26] I won't say breaks character, but they just lose all the quorum and how they're talking
[00:15:30] about somebody.
[00:15:31] I love those moments.
[00:15:32] But the insults that we get on survivor are, you know, uh, jackass, uh, hunter famously
[00:15:38] call them like, uh, they're a bunch of knuckleheads.
[00:15:41] Like these are the words we typically hear on survivor.
[00:15:44] Uh, I cannot recall another time where a contestant, what that they allowed it into the show that
[00:15:51] somebody was called a dick.
[00:15:53] Damn man.
[00:15:53] What a dick.
[00:15:55] It sounds like a Dave ball insult.
[00:15:57] Like something he would have said, you know, like he feels like the kind of person to be just
[00:16:01] like a little crass.
[00:16:02] Uh, and you're like, God, where did that come from?
[00:16:05] Um, so Russell hands played three times.
[00:16:08] You mean to tell me nobody called him a dick.
[00:16:10] I mean, it wasn't in the show.
[00:16:13] That's what this is.
[00:16:14] This is the new era.
[00:16:16] Rewind the tape.
[00:16:16] Rewind the tape.
[00:16:17] I need to, I need to verify.
[00:16:18] There's no way.
[00:16:20] Um, yeah, I wasn't shocked by this, but I kind of was shocked about how it happened.
[00:16:25] Cause from my point of view, I watched the scene and it felt like Rome and Kyle were talking
[00:16:30] there under the stars.
[00:16:31] It's their first night at the merge or whatever, or not the merge.
[00:16:34] And they're getting to know each other.
[00:16:36] And Rome is like pumping Kyle for information to potentially use it later on.
[00:16:40] And Kyle is giving him personal information.
[00:16:42] That's not game related.
[00:16:44] And so there's personal information and there's personal game information, Rob.
[00:16:47] I think he was just giving him personal information.
[00:16:49] Just talking, vibing.
[00:16:51] Who would you think would be a, uh, could win on the game?
[00:16:53] Oh, I think Sam could be a good threat.
[00:16:55] Oh, how do you feel about Tiana?
[00:16:57] Yeah.
[00:16:57] She'd obviously be a threat at some point.
[00:16:59] I mean, we're, we're mostly threats.
[00:17:00] What about Sue and Caroline?
[00:17:02] Yeah.
[00:17:02] They have a mother, sister, a mother daughter relationship.
[00:17:04] And you know, like there, we get challenges.
[00:17:07] Oh, okay, cool.
[00:17:09] And then Rome runs it back.
[00:17:10] And Kyle's like, wait, wait, I actually wasn't strategizing in that moment.
[00:17:13] Like, it's like Kyle had stopped playing the game and Rome is a gamer who never stopped
[00:17:17] playing the game.
[00:17:18] So I think that's why Kyle was offended.
[00:17:20] He's like, you weren't supposed to use that.
[00:17:21] You know, like that was just us vibing.
[00:17:23] That was bros being bros.
[00:17:24] Like now all of a sudden you running back and trying to put a target on my back.
[00:17:28] And unfortunately going to Tiana was not the best thing because although it could seem
[00:17:32] like Kyle has turned on her, mathematically, it doesn't make sense for Kyle to turn on her.
[00:17:36] Uh, he has no one else on the tribe, essentially, you know, Gabe, Caroline and Sue are the big
[00:17:41] three over there.
[00:17:42] Um, Kyle and Tiana were, well, Tiana, they picked her up to get rid of TK.
[00:17:47] Kyle was the one who was left completely out of the boat.
[00:17:49] Why would he be putting a target on Tiana?
[00:17:50] Uh, so, um, yeah, I think for, for her, she was like, yeah, he's coming after me.
[00:17:55] That doesn't make sense because if anything, I should be his number one.
[00:17:59] Like where else is he going except for it to me?
[00:18:01] So yeah.
[00:18:02] Um, she, she, she had to call him on it and it's not just snowball.
[00:18:06] And I don't think that Kyle, while he might've said those things, he's not actually targeting
[00:18:10] Tiana.
[00:18:11] Like, uh, it's just like stream of consciousness of like, uh, you know, you know that he just
[00:18:17] rums asking him questions and he's just like, uh, giving his thoughts on things.
[00:18:21] But yeah.
[00:18:22] But what'd you think of how survivor did this?
[00:18:24] Because this was still earn the merge.
[00:18:28] According to Jeff.
[00:18:29] Boom.
[00:18:32] Stop it.
[00:18:33] Stop it.
[00:18:34] Just stop it.
[00:18:35] Just stop it.
[00:18:35] I've been seeing people on Twitter, Facebook.
[00:18:38] Everybody's like, it's just not the merge.
[00:18:39] Yeah.
[00:18:40] Yeah.
[00:18:40] We, I hear everybody, Jeff, come on, man.
[00:18:44] Does Tyler Perry got to text you for you to see?
[00:18:46] Just stop it.
[00:18:47] Stop playing on our faces.
[00:18:48] You know, and look, look, everybody's happy with this too, Jeff.
[00:18:52] That's the other thing.
[00:18:53] Everybody's happy.
[00:18:54] You can matter of fact, Jeff, call it whatever you want.
[00:18:56] Call it whatever you want.
[00:18:58] Everybody's happy.
[00:18:58] As long as you don't bring back the hourglass and start messing up stuff again, we're fine.
[00:19:03] Yeah.
[00:19:03] You ain't gonna call it the merger more.
[00:19:04] Remember when they call it the merger?
[00:19:06] Bring that back.
[00:19:07] If you just want to, if you want to spice things up.
[00:19:09] Well, that's what I'm trying not to complain about it too much because I feel like
[00:19:12] we got what we wanted, right?
[00:19:13] Like, why do we have to complain?
[00:19:16] Like, Hey Jeff, just so you know, this was not the merge.
[00:19:21] Or this was, this was not earned the merge.
[00:19:23] If he, if he is happy and we're happy.
[00:19:27] Right.
[00:19:27] He can call it whatever.
[00:19:29] He can call it whatever he wants.
[00:19:30] So it's like, so like, although I said, boo, Jeff, we know what you're doing, but also
[00:19:34] don't change.
[00:19:35] Never change.
[00:19:35] This is good.
[00:19:36] This is good.
[00:19:37] This is good.
[00:19:37] Cause if he had brought out that hourglass, everybody would be like, Oh my God.
[00:19:40] Like people would have started to cry.
[00:19:41] We'd have like, you know, like there would have been, uh, you know, like people like it
[00:19:45] would have been pandemonium.
[00:19:47] All right.
[00:19:48] You know?
[00:19:48] So this is fine.
[00:19:50] They're earning the merge.
[00:19:51] Yeah.
[00:19:52] Kind of.
[00:19:52] Yeah.
[00:19:53] Chappelle.
[00:19:53] Did you have any thoughts on, you know, we had the big competition and then we got
[00:19:59] down to individual immunity.
[00:20:01] Kyle, after all this wins individual immunity.
[00:20:05] Did you have any thoughts on this season's new immunity necklace?
[00:20:10] Yeah.
[00:20:10] Um, people were saying spirit Halloween party, party, party city type of vibes.
[00:20:16] Yeah.
[00:20:16] Look at it.
[00:20:17] I mean, yeah.
[00:20:18] Hot topic.
[00:20:18] I could see you rocking this necklace.
[00:20:20] You could not see me rocking that necklace.
[00:20:23] You could not see me.
[00:20:24] That necklace is actually, it's amazing.
[00:20:26] Like it's, it's a really cool necklace.
[00:20:27] It's also terrifying.
[00:20:28] Um, it's interesting cause that he has a bat tattoo on his back.
[00:20:33] Yeah.
[00:20:33] Um, he didn't explain, he didn't say exactly what that is.
[00:20:36] Um, but he does look like very at home with this, uh, this, this immunity.
[00:20:42] This is, this is a memorable immunity necklace.
[00:20:45] I'm trying not to say that it's ugly because I don't think it is.
[00:20:48] Do they sell replicas of these?
[00:20:50] This is a replica of something like this is definitely plastic and I could see it on somebody's front lawn, uh, in about a, you know, a few days on Halloween, you know, this would be a great sketch of like, just let's just send people out into the wild wearing various survivor immunity necklaces.
[00:21:08] Like, uh, just put Kyle on the subway wearing this.
[00:21:12] Like, uh, how many second looks would he get?
[00:21:15] It depends on, it depends on what city he's on the subway in New York.
[00:21:18] No one's going to flinch.
[00:21:19] Uh, like this is not going to move the needle.
[00:21:22] I've, I've been in New York roughly four times and I've seen way worse than this.
[00:21:25] I think I might've actually seen that actual bat on the subway.
[00:21:28] Um, yeah.
[00:21:29] But if you crop this and sent it to a hundred people, they couldn't tell you what show it was.
[00:21:32] Yeah.
[00:21:33] You know, like, like, um, are you watching some type of, uh, ritualistic, you know, whatever.
[00:21:38] Like, no, it's survivor.
[00:21:39] It's just so interesting.
[00:21:40] Like what happened to the bat?
[00:21:42] Okay.
[00:21:42] So I understand like, uh, the bat has a skeleton from the little bit of biology that I know, but, but why has the, the, has the, the main meat of the bat, the, the body of the bat has decomposed to a skeleton.
[00:21:57] Wings have remained, uh, incredibly intact.
[00:22:01] Yeah.
[00:22:01] Why did the wings get taxidermied and the body, uh, did not?
[00:22:06] It's clearly a zombie, right?
[00:22:08] This is an undead.
[00:22:09] This is an undead bat.
[00:22:10] Like, like it's obviously dead, but like, it still has wings.
[00:22:14] Um, it's like a Pokemon or something.
[00:22:16] You know, there's, this is definitely something we should be paying attention to.
[00:22:19] Also, it might be cursed.
[00:22:21] Um, spooky, scary.
[00:22:24] Right?
[00:22:25] Right.
[00:22:26] You know, Omer invented spooky scary.
[00:22:29] You know, he, he doesn't want to, he's trying to trademark that.
[00:22:32] He's being survivor taking it and run with it.
[00:22:33] He's gonna, he's gonna hit you with a cease and desist for your time board.
[00:22:36] Omer said spooky scary before Genevieve did?
[00:22:38] He said he invented it.
[00:22:40] He said he, the first human to say those, those two words back to back.
[00:22:44] And I just, but not on television.
[00:22:47] Maybe Genevieve overheard him in Canada saying that?
[00:22:50] Maybe, you know, it's a small place, small town, uh, that Canada.
[00:22:54] Uh, but he claims, he claims that's his.
[00:22:56] I wouldn't be shocked if this immunity necklace is cursed.
[00:22:59] Let's track it.
[00:23:00] You know, let's see what happens to Kyle after this.
[00:23:01] Cause he didn't have a vote.
[00:23:02] Well, he gets, he gets the, um, he gets the immunity necklace at the time where he needed it.
[00:23:07] And this is good because now he can put the, you know, the target on Rome.
[00:23:11] Like he likes to, um, I just thought it was very interesting though.
[00:23:15] The whole situation, because he does go back and he tells everybody.
[00:23:18] I'm the, I'm what I'm the most honest idiot out here or something like that.
[00:23:22] Right.
[00:23:22] Did he say he's cause of dumb ass.
[00:23:25] Yeah.
[00:23:25] Yeah.
[00:23:25] I'm the, I'm the, uh, the most honest dumb ass out here.
[00:23:28] And now in that moment I thought, no, I mean, not necessarily, you know, I think you want
[00:23:33] people to think that, you know, I think that was a very astute thing for him to do is like,
[00:23:37] I'm too dumb to come up with something like that.
[00:23:38] Are you crazy?
[00:23:40] Kyle is trying to play the game as well.
[00:23:42] He's throwing Rome under the bus, but it's not like he's not in game mode.
[00:23:45] Once he activates from hearing Rome telling his personal game business to other people.
[00:23:49] Yeah.
[00:23:50] Okay.
[00:23:50] So let's talk a little bit about then where Kyle was headed after all of this, uh, that
[00:23:57] he got to go and visit the merge feast.
[00:24:02] Okay.
[00:24:02] Uh, the winners feast in this case, and, uh, everybody got to go eat and then have a big
[00:24:10] meal and, uh, Chappelle, it was all about this is the year of charcuterie on CBS reality
[00:24:21] TV.
[00:24:22] It's having a big year.
[00:24:23] It's having a big year.
[00:24:24] Like somewhere Angela from big brother, just like fist pumped.
[00:24:27] Cause she's the biggest fan of charcuterie that ever was.
[00:24:30] I, I should be out there.
[00:24:33] She, she did say she would play survivor, Rob.
[00:24:36] Like this is that.
[00:24:36] This is their last little kidding me.
[00:24:39] Yeah.
[00:24:40] This is their last charcuterie stuff.
[00:24:43] They're dangling the carrot, Rob.
[00:24:44] They need Angela to apply.
[00:24:46] They said, okay, sprinkle some charcuterie on this season and see what happens.
[00:24:49] See if she'll come back from the big brother streets.
[00:24:51] But Chappelle, this secretly could be BB 26 coded because not only do we in conjure the
[00:25:00] spirit of Angela and the charcuterie stuff.
[00:25:03] But we found out earlier this season, something about Sam.
[00:25:07] Sam has not had many different fruits and vegetables.
[00:25:14] And he was able to try one of the fruits that was on the table.
[00:25:18] Sam, for the first time, tried a pineapple.
[00:25:21] Breaking news.
[00:25:22] Sam's a pineapple guy.
[00:25:24] Okay.
[00:25:25] All right.
[00:25:27] Get, get sweet Kenny K on the line.
[00:25:31] This is live on YouTube, Rob.
[00:25:33] How far do you want to go down this wormhole?
[00:25:35] This isn't the, this isn't the pay hall.
[00:25:37] Can we go halfway?
[00:25:38] Can we go halfway?
[00:25:38] We can put the tip in.
[00:25:40] Okay.
[00:25:41] Um, I think that this is a very interesting turn of events, you know, because, um, we
[00:25:46] will see that in this, uh, season, we have two people who are seemingly in a relationship
[00:25:52] outside of the game, being accused of being a relationship inside the game, but real pineapple
[00:25:57] enthusiasts know that there, that you could have a clause where maybe those two things can
[00:26:03] mix and match.
[00:26:04] You can swap.
[00:26:05] You can, you know, these things don't have to be separate.
[00:26:08] Yeah.
[00:26:09] You can, you can interchange these things, especially with the spirit of the pineapple
[00:26:12] involved in mind.
[00:26:13] The spirit of the pineapple is involved.
[00:26:15] And again, Sam has, he's never had a pineapple before.
[00:26:18] Maybe he doesn't know the connotations of saying on national television, Hey, breaking
[00:26:23] news.
[00:26:24] Everybody turns out I am a pineapple guy.
[00:26:26] We might need another one of this is ridiculous.
[00:26:29] I am engaged.
[00:26:30] Hannah, babe.
[00:26:31] If you're watching this, Hey babe, if you're watching this, when I said I was a pineapple
[00:26:36] guy, I didn't mean it like that.
[00:26:38] Just so everybody knows.
[00:26:40] Yeah.
[00:26:41] Unless, unless you're down in which case we can talk about it.
[00:26:43] You know what I'm saying?
[00:26:44] Hey, I just want to let everybody know when I, when I said I was a pineapple guy, that
[00:26:48] was, yeah.
[00:26:49] Yeah.
[00:26:50] When I was at the grocery store, get my, with my groceries.
[00:26:54] Right.
[00:26:55] And I was stopping by every night.
[00:26:56] I stopped by and I grabbed my pineapple and I put it right there in the little front seat
[00:27:00] of the, uh, of the buggy.
[00:27:02] And then I grabbed the bottle of squirt and then I grabbed the hot dogs and the bananas
[00:27:07] and like all this stuff.
[00:27:08] Like it was definitely just me shopping.
[00:27:09] It was definitely nothing else.
[00:27:11] Yeah.
[00:27:11] Okay.
[00:27:12] Breaking news.
[00:27:13] I'm a pineapple guy.
[00:27:14] Don't tweet that.
[00:27:16] I might tweet that.
[00:27:18] It feels like, it feels like, right.
[00:27:19] You know, like I'm not saying that I'm a pineapple guy, but I could be convinced.
[00:27:22] Breaking news.
[00:27:24] Sam's a pineapple guy.
[00:27:26] I love it.
[00:27:27] Cause he says it like his mouth is still full of pineapple.
[00:27:29] He bit it.
[00:27:31] Wow.
[00:27:31] Oh my God.
[00:27:33] This is delicious.
[00:27:34] What did I be missing?
[00:27:35] This changes everything.
[00:27:37] Wow.
[00:27:39] Honey, I swear.
[00:27:40] I'm a pineapple guy.
[00:27:41] Now we changed it.
[00:27:42] We're making some changes at home.
[00:27:44] This is good for him.
[00:27:44] I like this.
[00:27:45] We got to give him to try more foods.
[00:27:47] Okay.
[00:27:47] Uh, something else about the, uh, the merge feast that we, uh, got to see a lot of people
[00:27:54] were wondering about this.
[00:27:56] A Sierra answered this question on Twitter because you look, uh, the survivors other than
[00:28:02] Genevieve look like that, uh, boy is still very dirty at the merge feast.
[00:28:09] And so, uh, this question was asked to Sierra, uh, that, uh, she was asked by somebody, uh,
[00:28:16] did they tell you, you can't dip in the ocean or wash the mud off before the feast?
[00:28:19] There's everybody's so hungry.
[00:28:20] You don't care.
[00:28:21] She said, we literally begged to rinse off before eating because of how gross we felt
[00:28:25] dot, dot, dot, but that was a hard.
[00:28:28] No, which is crazy, right?
[00:28:32] Lucy goosey Jeff is doing whatever he wants.
[00:28:36] You can sit in my chair.
[00:28:37] You can narrate the episode.
[00:28:39] You can do this.
[00:28:39] You can do that.
[00:28:41] What do you want?
[00:28:41] He's passing out last, last, uh, season.
[00:28:43] Wasn't he passing out snacks at tribal council?
[00:28:45] Here's a popcorn.
[00:28:45] Here's this.
[00:28:46] Here's that.
[00:28:48] Can please, sir.
[00:28:49] Can we please wash the dirt from our, from our Lord?
[00:28:52] No, no, no.
[00:28:54] Yeah.
[00:28:55] Could we get, can I get a wet nap?
[00:28:57] Please, please.
[00:28:58] For the love of God, can I just please touch the water?
[00:29:01] No water for you.
[00:29:03] You eat the charcuterie and you're going to like it.
[00:29:05] Have a, have an assorted meat peasant.
[00:29:07] You're like, Oh my God, but it tastes like mud.
[00:29:11] Like, do you want the food or not?
[00:29:14] You weren't complaining about that when you were stealing rice, were you?
[00:29:16] You know, you want to eat now eat.
[00:29:20] I'll take it.
[00:29:21] I'll take it.
[00:29:21] Please, Jeffrey.
[00:29:22] For the love of God.
[00:29:24] Also, Rob, I don't like that people are calling this the merge feast.
[00:29:28] This is not the merge feast.
[00:29:29] A reward?
[00:29:30] Merge reward?
[00:29:31] He owes these people a meal.
[00:29:31] He owes these people a meal because he said they had to earn the merge.
[00:29:35] They had not earned the merge yet.
[00:29:36] You cannot give some people charcuterie and say, this is the merge feast.
[00:29:40] Feed those people.
[00:29:40] You've been snatching rice out of people's hands and stuff like that all season.
[00:29:44] Give those people some real food and let them, let them get in the water.
[00:29:47] They can get in the water and rinse off.
[00:29:48] Stop being a jerk.
[00:29:49] Yeah.
[00:29:50] I don't know.
[00:29:50] Like, the visual is not that exciting.
[00:29:53] Too much mud.
[00:29:55] Jeff's going through.
[00:29:56] He's having a conflict right now.
[00:29:59] We're going to look back.
[00:30:00] We're going to look back at the new era.
[00:30:02] And we're really going to find Jeff kind of in limbo, trying to decide, who am I?
[00:30:07] Am I like, you know, Jeff who takes no nonsense, takes no guff.
[00:30:12] No, you can't negotiate.
[00:30:13] No, you can't do this.
[00:30:15] Spicy Jeff.
[00:30:16] Or am I, you know, Jeff that wants to give these new people a chance, you know, really
[00:30:21] welcoming to the survivor community, you know, make the show a little bit more fun.
[00:30:27] I think he's going to have to choose.
[00:30:29] And I think Survivor 50 might be where he plants his facts.
[00:30:31] Well, I think it's hard for Jeff to because Jeff wears multiple hats.
[00:30:36] You know, there's Jeff the producer and there's Jeff the host.
[00:30:40] And I think that like Jeff the host wants to be Spicy Jeff.
[00:30:45] I think that he wants to like, hey, I'm not taking any guff from you guys or you.
[00:30:52] And I am going to be like laying down the law.
[00:30:56] Spicy Jeff.
[00:30:57] Nobody's getting one over on me.
[00:30:58] But I also think the producer Jeff, he's working in casting like that.
[00:31:03] I think he's very excited.
[00:31:04] He is like a proud dad about these people that they find.
[00:31:09] And then he meets these people and is very involved with the casting and every step of the way of interviewing all these people.
[00:31:15] And he wants to shine, like give them a spotlight in the best possible light.
[00:31:20] So I think that to a person, I think that he is very much like wanting to like, you know, do right by these people that they have ripped out of their lives to bring to Fiji to put on television.
[00:31:33] But I do think that he does not want anybody like taking advantage of him and wants the audience to feel like he's laying down the law.
[00:31:42] It is like a little bit of a tightrope that he has to walk.
[00:31:46] Yeah, but I want him to figure out who he is.
[00:31:48] You know, I want Jeff to be Jeff.
[00:31:51] You know, I want Jeff at Survivor 50 to be a character that we know, you know, this unpredictable Jeff where today he could do this today.
[00:31:58] He could do that. Even that could be a personality, right? Where we're like, oh, you know, Jeff, expect the unexpected.
[00:32:03] You know, he might get he might get that C and D from Julie Chen.
[00:32:07] But the thing is, you got Jeff who we thought was OK.
[00:32:11] No nonsense. He said it like I'm not playing at any more.
[00:32:14] And we've seen some really big moments. Don't make me get my knife.
[00:32:17] But now it's like, you know, it's all good.
[00:32:21] I have to be hard on you because I love you.
[00:32:23] You know, it's tough.
[00:32:24] You feeling lucky, punk?
[00:32:26] Yeah. See, that's what I would like. I want Jeff to start saying, try me.
[00:32:30] So whenever they ask for something, they show it.
[00:32:32] Can we please jump in the water? Try me.
[00:32:34] You're lucky I'm in a good mood today.
[00:32:36] Yeah. See what happens.
[00:32:37] Flip a coin.
[00:32:38] He's like Two-Face. He's like, flip his coin.
[00:32:42] No, you can't get the water. Sorry.
[00:32:43] They already have Batman.
[00:32:45] They do.
[00:32:46] We can do this. Don't do this. We can do this.
[00:32:49] Jeff could be Two-Face.
[00:32:50] Okay.
[00:32:51] Chappelle also at the merge reward.
[00:32:55] Somebody was having a lot of fun for one player.
[00:32:59] It was Chappelle o'clock at the merge reward.
[00:33:02] Hey, teeny.
[00:33:05] Teeny.
[00:33:05] Teeny was having the best time.
[00:33:09] Teeny. I can't have you getting too drunk here.
[00:33:11] I got to get all that together through tribal for me.
[00:33:14] Okay.
[00:33:16] Chappelle.
[00:33:17] How closely did you monitor Teeny's sobriety the rest of the day?
[00:33:23] I was looking for moments, right?
[00:33:25] And I don't think I really got them.
[00:33:27] I love, I've talked about this before.
[00:33:29] I love any time a player gets drunk on Survivor because it makes no sense.
[00:33:32] It's definitely the last thing you should be doing.
[00:33:34] You have not eaten.
[00:33:35] You're, you're, you're not, you're, you don't have your faculties already.
[00:33:39] Uh, we could, we see that people are just like, it's really hard to think out here.
[00:33:42] Just, just for lack of food, lack of sleep and the alcohol or wine or whatever is going
[00:33:47] to really take its toll on you.
[00:33:49] And so we've seen that manifest itself in plenty of different ways across seasons.
[00:33:53] You, you, yourself as well, famously.
[00:33:55] Uh, and so for this, when Teeny like is down in the bottle, like just taking it to the head,
[00:34:00] I was like, yeah, Teeny go, go, go, go, go.
[00:34:02] And then I'll say, okay, now we're going to have a moment where Teeny is like, uh,
[00:34:06] or the words or whatever. And I'm just like, I don't think we got it. I don't think I got enough.
[00:34:11] You know, I want to see Teeny doing the, the Davey, like pouring the drink on, on the head
[00:34:16] or like uncle Carl, just like getting drunk with power and walking around.
[00:34:20] Like, no, I vote you out. Damn it. You know, like that's the kind of stuff I like to see
[00:34:24] from my drunk Survivor.
[00:34:25] Yeah. Uh, definitely a lot of great drunk moments.
[00:34:30] Uh, big Tom that was somebody else though, who, uh, drank a lot.
[00:34:35] Like they gave us in Survivor all stars, just like a bottle of like, I don't know what it was.
[00:34:41] Uh, it was like scotch.
[00:34:43] They like, just like sent us like a bottle of scotch, uh, at like a reward.
[00:34:48] Yeah.
[00:34:49] And he just drank it all one day as he should have, you know, uh, or even, uh,
[00:34:54] was it Bob dog getting drunk and then passing out and Casa de Charmin.
[00:34:59] Mm-hmm.
[00:34:59] That's the kind of stuff that I like.
[00:35:01] So I was like, nah, Teeny, if you're gonna get drunk, make it a show, you know?
[00:35:04] Yeah.
[00:35:05] I thought it was a very fun moment.
[00:35:06] Give the Survivors more alcohols.
[00:35:08] The alcohol causes as many problems as the chickens.
[00:35:11] If we brought the chickens back, bring back giving the Survivors alcohol.
[00:35:15] Yeah, I totally agree. I totally agree.
[00:35:18] That, uh, like I said, it was a fun moment.
[00:35:20] It's too tempting for them.
[00:35:22] It was a cool character moment for Teeny.
[00:35:24] I thought it was, but we didn't get like a follow up.
[00:35:26] We don't get Teeny even just being like, oh, I'm hung over or nothing like that.
[00:35:29] You know what I'm saying?
[00:35:30] So I like it.
[00:35:32] And some seasons you get Survivors getting drunk multiple times.
[00:35:35] I actually think, uh, there was a multiple times in, uh, David versus Goliath where,
[00:35:38] uh, Carl and Davey were indulging.
[00:35:40] And so, uh, yeah, I would like to see more of that, but yeah, this is a good episode
[00:35:44] for Teeny for sure.
[00:35:47] Chappelle, I want to go back to Andy.
[00:35:48] Uh, and he's somebody who came into the episode really, uh, feeling like very high at the,
[00:35:55] uh, or on a high, on a, a higher high, uh, coming in to the start of the episode.
[00:36:02] And, uh, he was talking about the Annika tribal council.
[00:36:06] He said this tribal council sucks.
[00:36:09] Not, not, are we bringing it back?
[00:36:12] Chappelle?
[00:36:13] Oh, baby.
[00:36:14] Andy.
[00:36:14] He's like, remember 96.
[00:36:18] Yeah.
[00:36:19] Psych.
[00:36:20] I love it.
[00:36:21] I'm so excited.
[00:36:23] Uh, and Andy.
[00:36:23] Smooth, move, eggflax.
[00:36:25] Yeah.
[00:36:25] He's feeling so good.
[00:36:27] Uh, he says like, uh, like, oh, it was as fun as hell blindsiding Annika.
[00:36:32] But by the end of the episode, he realizes that, oh wait, I was the backup plan.
[00:36:38] Yeah.
[00:36:39] A little bit of a blind side for Andy too.
[00:36:41] Right.
[00:36:42] Um, not as big.
[00:36:43] If you're going to get blindsided, that's a small way to be blindsided where you're
[00:36:46] like, Hey, something's a fishy.
[00:36:48] Something's a little off.
[00:36:49] Yeah.
[00:36:49] It's way better than getting blindsided and just out of the game.
[00:36:53] Yeah.
[00:36:53] So, you know, being blindsided is, is okay.
[00:36:56] Not, not.
[00:36:58] Well, look.
[00:36:59] Okay.
[00:36:59] So here's the thing.
[00:37:00] I've been thinking about baby Andy's position in the game for a while now, because
[00:37:04] I'm like, okay, does baby Andy have what it takes to go ahead and run this
[00:37:07] thing?
[00:37:08] Can he can, can, can he do it?
[00:37:10] And I was like, baby Andy.
[00:37:12] And he's, I think he's talked about this in like interviews and stuff like that.
[00:37:15] That his superpower is his self-awareness.
[00:37:16] Like he knows where he stands in the tribe.
[00:37:18] Um, but I think it's because he keeps screwing up.
[00:37:20] Like it's really easy to know where you stand when you're putting yourself at the bottom,
[00:37:25] you know, like in the original iteration of the tribe with the John Lovett blow up.
[00:37:29] He's immediately at the bottom of John Lovett because he has his big meltdown and stuff
[00:37:32] like that.
[00:37:33] There's really no way he can get out of that.
[00:37:34] So for episodes, Annika and Rachel are just snowed because they, they think that he's
[00:37:41] at the bottom.
[00:37:41] He knows he's at the bottom.
[00:37:43] So he's clawing his way out of the bottom the entire time.
[00:37:45] So when he's out of the bottom, he knows now definitively I'm not in the bottom.
[00:37:49] He even goes into this fake merge knowing people probably think I'm at the bottom because
[00:37:53] of my meltdown.
[00:37:55] And then I'm not great at challenges and stuff like that.
[00:37:58] We find out that he gets picked last in the schoolyard pick, which will also confirm
[00:38:02] that he's maybe not the highest on people's list that they want to be.
[00:38:05] They want to be on the team with and stuff like that.
[00:38:07] So in these moments, baby Andy is confirmed like, okay, I need to work.
[00:38:11] There are people who I need to be working with.
[00:38:13] Whereas a lot of people, they don't like, you know, I think survivors have been saying
[00:38:15] like lately, you need to go to tribal council because you need to see who is voting with
[00:38:20] you for real, because you don't want them to be, they've already flipped by the time
[00:38:23] you need them.
[00:38:24] Baby Andy knows who's not working with him at all times until this moment.
[00:38:28] Baby Andy does not get let in on the plan.
[00:38:30] I think it's a very curious choice for them to really allow baby Andy to be the backup decision
[00:38:36] anyway.
[00:38:37] Like ask some questions for Sam.
[00:38:38] But at the same time, when he realized it in that moment, he's like, Sam, did you like
[00:38:44] I'm the backup?
[00:38:45] I was like, I don't know.
[00:38:45] So, okay.
[00:38:47] Now, baby Andy, what do you do with that?
[00:38:49] You saw, you said, we saw the same thing you saw.
[00:38:51] Now, what do you do?
[00:38:52] Are you saying that I'm in a good spot where like, I don't really feel threatened, even
[00:38:56] though I was a backup plan or I was a backup plan.
[00:38:59] Thus they think I'm expendable.
[00:39:00] If one plays a shot in the dark or some type of idol, I go home.
[00:39:03] Uh, that's not okay.
[00:39:05] Do I start to make another move?
[00:39:06] I think that this could be a turning point for baby Andy.
[00:39:09] Yeah.
[00:39:09] I've said like, uh, it's hard to come up with a different name there for Sam, uh, that Rachel
[00:39:16] is there.
[00:39:16] So I'm not sure necessarily who else you throw out of the people that weren't there.
[00:39:21] I mean, um, I think you also risk alienating like the Tuku people, uh, by throwing out
[00:39:27] one of their names.
[00:39:28] And so you had also, uh, Genevieve, uh, Genevieve was there with, was Saul back at the camp.
[00:39:35] I'm not sure.
[00:39:36] Uh, yeah.
[00:39:36] So I guess you could throw out Saul, but I don't know.
[00:39:40] I think that maybe Sam was just feeling like, cause we see him talking to Saul.
[00:39:44] He actually says to Saul like, Hey, I'd rather keep you around than Andy, but he might've been
[00:39:48] just saying that to Saul to keep him from feeling good.
[00:39:50] I just think the mistake was not giving Andy the heads up that, you know, that you're
[00:39:55] going to get some votes tonight.
[00:39:57] Yeah.
[00:39:58] And I, and it wasn't like Sam brought up baby Andy's name.
[00:40:01] I think that again, I think it was Sue.
[00:40:03] I think Sue brought it up.
[00:40:04] Yeah.
[00:40:05] But that's the thing.
[00:40:05] Most of the people think that baby Andy's on the bottom.
[00:40:08] So they're like, so it's like, so it's Andy, right?
[00:40:11] Like we get with Andy.
[00:40:11] Y'all clearly don't have any issue losing Andy, right?
[00:40:14] He's loose cannon.
[00:40:14] You can't Saul, you know, um, what are you doing?
[00:40:17] And he got picked last out.
[00:40:19] I'm here.
[00:40:20] It's so he can't be me.
[00:40:21] So how about the other person's big glass?
[00:40:23] And like you said, if Rachel's there, he can't be like, actually, we kind of hate Rachel.
[00:40:27] Yeah.
[00:40:27] And also in 46, we saw that when you push back too hard on a name and it's like, Oh, we
[00:40:33] have to get this person out now because you're, you know, Oh, you don't want to give up Mariah.
[00:40:37] Okay.
[00:40:38] Let me write that down.
[00:40:39] We saw that in this season, you know, they claimed that, uh, because Asia wouldn't turn
[00:40:43] on Saul, you know, even though they could have voted out Saul without Asia, they're like,
[00:40:46] still, you weren't willing to, you weren't willing to cut his throat.
[00:40:49] So you gotta go.
[00:40:50] It's like, okay, why don't you just cut his throat?
[00:40:52] You know?
[00:40:53] Um, so I think that there's something to that.
[00:40:55] Uh, but yeah, you're right.
[00:40:57] I think you fix that by going and telling Andy, look, maybe if you do what, is there anything
[00:41:02] we can do to make you feel more comfortable?
[00:41:04] Cause they're going to vote for you.
[00:41:04] Maybe we, maybe we split the vote at that point.
[00:41:07] You know what I'm saying?
[00:41:07] Like, uh, baby Andy is the backup option, but yeah, they didn't necessarily have to
[00:41:12] be, you know, Sierra, baby Andy, and Sam could all vote for somebody else.
[00:41:15] Now there's three votes on somebody else.
[00:41:17] Rome gets the rest of the votes.
[00:41:18] And then those two votes land on baby Andy, uh, or it would only be one voted.
[00:41:21] No, it would be, it would be two votes on baby Andy.
[00:41:23] So yeah, they could have flipped this.
[00:41:24] They could have done something.
[00:41:25] They just didn't want to.
[00:41:27] And so I was like, all right, now what?
[00:41:29] And so I'm very interested to see what happens next.
[00:41:31] So Chappelle, everybody was looking for the advantage this week.
[00:41:34] Uh, we saw that it was Genevieve.
[00:41:36] Well, some people, a lot of people were looking for the advantage this week.
[00:41:38] It was, uh, Genevieve was, that was, that was the person that found it.
[00:41:41] But meanwhile, in the midst of the advantage hunt, there was, uh, a lot of evidence that
[00:41:47] was found regarding Sue's previous advantage that she found where the red paint fell out of the
[00:41:55] tree.
[00:41:56] All of a sudden everybody was hot on the trail of the red paint.
[00:42:03] Yeah, this is, this is the gift that keeps on giving.
[00:42:07] Yeah.
[00:42:07] Because when, when it first happened and Sue's like, I bit my tongue.
[00:42:10] Okay.
[00:42:11] Yeah.
[00:42:12] Something's weird.
[00:42:12] Something's off, but then for it to come back around, what happenstance, right?
[00:42:16] That they just happened to merge on this exact beach.
[00:42:18] They could emerge anywhere else.
[00:42:20] They're like, no, y'all are staying here.
[00:42:22] The producers knew.
[00:42:22] They knew what they were doing.
[00:42:23] Y'all are staying here where the red paint is.
[00:42:25] And we're not going to give you any clues about where this advantage is.
[00:42:28] We're just going to say, just search the entire forest for something that looks out
[00:42:31] of place.
[00:42:31] So they're like, Oh, okay.
[00:42:33] I guess I'll do that.
[00:42:34] It was kind of brilliant.
[00:42:35] Yeah.
[00:42:35] Yeah.
[00:42:36] I mean, a stroke of genius said, all right, where should we hide the advantage?
[00:42:40] Advantage?
[00:42:41] Just put it in the ocean.
[00:42:41] They're looking at, they're looking at woods.
[00:42:43] We'll get a lot more from that.
[00:42:44] Well, what advantage?
[00:42:45] We might even hide one.
[00:42:46] I knew something was coming Chappelle because that which they said, Oh, they're coming to
[00:42:50] our camp.
[00:42:51] They'll they're going to search my bag.
[00:42:53] Like, well, why?
[00:42:54] What the hell is she talking about?
[00:42:56] I was so confused by this.
[00:42:58] So let's say, okay, we, we have merged.
[00:43:02] Yay.
[00:43:03] All right.
[00:43:03] Blue tribe, empty your bags.
[00:43:05] What?
[00:43:06] What do you mean?
[00:43:07] Empty your bags.
[00:43:09] Why?
[00:43:10] We're here.
[00:43:10] We got to make sure nobody has an island.
[00:43:12] I have a little empty ours.
[00:43:13] Everybody jumps their stuff out.
[00:43:14] Your turn.
[00:43:14] It's like, Oh God, she empties it out.
[00:43:17] Okay.
[00:43:17] So it looks like you have idol in there, but it's not covered in paint.
[00:43:20] You're good.
[00:43:21] You're good.
[00:43:21] She was like, I need to watch it in case they, in case they, why?
[00:43:25] Why does it need to be clean?
[00:43:27] I still don't understand the, I don't understand the solution here for like, whoo.
[00:43:31] Okay.
[00:43:32] She's got an idol, but at least it's not covered in paint.
[00:43:34] Mm hmm.
[00:43:35] Yeah.
[00:43:35] I don't know if she was just sort of like thinking it through in her head of like, Oh,
[00:43:39] that there's the red paint that I have the thing with red paint.
[00:43:43] So they're going to end up going through my bag.
[00:43:45] I don't know if she like had made like a mental leap that just we were not clued in on.
[00:43:51] Like Sue, what is this?
[00:43:53] Like, um, that's, that's just something I found on the, on the island.
[00:43:57] Oh really?
[00:43:57] Because it's red.
[00:43:59] Like, ah!
[00:44:00] Mm hmm.
[00:44:01] It's like, all right, Sue, come on, man.
[00:44:02] Why should get, how about you just go hide it?
[00:44:05] You know, they're coming.
[00:44:06] If they're going to check your bag.
[00:44:07] I have an idea.
[00:44:09] Put it somewhere else.
[00:44:10] Yeah.
[00:44:10] Yeah.
[00:44:11] How about that?
[00:44:11] How about you go bury it somewhere that's not covered in red paint?
[00:44:15] Um, you know, you've been here longer than everybody else.
[00:44:18] It's you just put it wherever you want it to be.
[00:44:20] You know what I'm saying?
[00:44:21] Um, so yeah, we end up on this, um, this like, um, whodunit or like mystery thing where
[00:44:27] they're all like looking around like, Jinkies, we found this, this, this pottery.
[00:44:31] It's covered in paint.
[00:44:31] Oh my God, there's paint over there.
[00:44:33] And the whole time Caroline and Tiana look at each other like, okay.
[00:44:37] All right.
[00:44:38] This is starting to make sense now.
[00:44:39] I see what this is.
[00:44:40] But how long do you think it takes to get a bunch of survivor players to get off the
[00:44:44] sense of that?
[00:44:45] Because you find broken pottery covered in red paint in a, in a, uh, in a forest.
[00:44:49] And someone's telling you there's an advantage out here.
[00:44:52] And then people are just like, no, I'm tired of looking at it.
[00:44:55] Like that would be like the biggest like a clue that you could get.
[00:44:59] Well, I think that the good news for Sue is that a lot, this is a time in the game
[00:45:05] when a lot of stuff is going to start happening.
[00:45:06] So they end up, they have that like one random day of like doing nothing.
[00:45:11] Just looking about the advantage.
[00:45:12] So sure.
[00:45:13] Big topic of conversation.
[00:45:14] But then they had the reward challenge and the, and the immunity challenge.
[00:45:19] And then they went to tribal council.
[00:45:21] And then I think that these, this next episode, it seems like from some of the promos that
[00:45:26] it's going to be the split tribe twist where we're going to do six and six.
[00:45:31] And that's going to be like a whole, like one day.
[00:45:34] So a lot of stuff is going to have happened.
[00:45:36] And maybe there's a chance for Sue.
[00:45:38] They kind of forget about this stuff.
[00:45:40] Yeah.
[00:45:41] And, um, Caroline does know that Sue has this thing.
[00:45:44] So maybe she can run interference a little bit.
[00:45:47] Um, I loved Caroline telling Sue that she had it first.
[00:45:50] Caroline's like, I'm so proud of Sue.
[00:45:52] She's doing it.
[00:45:52] She's out here playing survivor.
[00:45:53] Look at her.
[00:45:54] Let me go.
[00:45:54] Tell, let me go tell my girl that I'm in on the joke.
[00:45:56] Hey, you good with me.
[00:45:58] You go with me, Sue.
[00:45:59] And Sue's like, why?
[00:46:00] Say, Sue, come on.
[00:46:03] She's like, what?
[00:46:04] Sue, the red paint.
[00:46:06] Yeah.
[00:46:07] Your bag.
[00:46:07] You were cleaning a random item earlier.
[00:46:11] I know what's going on.
[00:46:12] So it's like, I don't know what you're talking about.
[00:46:13] See that?
[00:46:15] Girl.
[00:46:15] Yeah.
[00:46:16] Okay, cool.
[00:46:17] Cause I trust you completely.
[00:46:18] It's like, all right, thank you.
[00:46:19] Why didn't you tell me?
[00:46:21] Chappelle, do they need to tell Tiana?
[00:46:22] Tiana is definitely suspicious about it.
[00:46:28] And, but we've also seen Tiana, like just like spilling the beans.
[00:46:31] Like, Oh Gabe, he's out there looking for idols.
[00:46:33] You can't trust him.
[00:46:35] Sue has no reason to trust Tiana.
[00:46:37] None.
[00:46:37] She, she watched her throw.
[00:46:39] She watched her throw Gabe under the bus.
[00:46:41] Like, and right in front of her, like, Hey, I'm right here.
[00:46:45] Like I'm working with Gabe.
[00:46:46] We we're aligned.
[00:46:48] Tiana's like, I don't care.
[00:46:50] I want them out.
[00:46:50] So yeah.
[00:46:51] If Sue was aligned with Gabe, just no reason to tell Tiana anything.
[00:46:54] If anything, they should be probably targeting Tiana as the person who has Sue secret, you
[00:46:59] know, um, Tiana could be on the chopping block now because if I'm Sue and I don't want to get
[00:47:04] caught red handed for lack of a better word, want to get rid of one of the key witnesses
[00:47:08] here.
[00:47:09] And Tiana knows where the bodies were buried.
[00:47:11] Literally.
[00:47:11] All right.
[00:47:12] Well then is Tiana the patsy that they should vote out because then she knows too much.
[00:47:19] That's when you pulled the people to the side and you say, Hey, didn't want to say anything,
[00:47:24] but I did see Tiana with red paint on her hands.
[00:47:27] You know, cause you have the entire look, you have the majority here.
[00:47:31] Everybody on the blue tribe could just gaslight everybody.
[00:47:34] Like y'all remember that day we saw Tiana with that red paint.
[00:47:36] Yeah, that's crazy.
[00:47:37] Tiana had red paint on her.
[00:47:39] Tiana's like, I didn't have red paint.
[00:47:40] Sure girl.
[00:47:41] Sure.
[00:47:41] Who you going to believe us or you, you know, they can really make her the fall person
[00:47:45] for this and then get away with this.
[00:47:47] God free.
[00:47:48] Yeah.
[00:47:48] Okay.
[00:47:49] We'll see what happens there.
[00:47:51] Let one other thing about Sue from this episode.
[00:47:54] Let me share that Sue and Saul are later days cast members currently in the season.
[00:48:05] Okay.
[00:48:05] Yeah.
[00:48:05] Uh, look there.
[00:48:07] They might be the oldest, but Hey Chappelle, uh, they're, they're looking good.
[00:48:12] Okay.
[00:48:14] Yeah.
[00:48:14] I'm 42.
[00:48:15] You're 45.
[00:48:16] I'm 42.
[00:48:16] We look good.
[00:48:17] 45 and 42.
[00:48:18] Right.
[00:48:19] I don't want to put a target on my back.
[00:48:21] Yeah.
[00:48:22] Saul asked.
[00:48:24] So, so,
[00:48:26] live through those big old pearly white teeth.
[00:48:28] He says, she said, I'm 45.
[00:48:30] He said, I'm 42.
[00:48:31] Oh, you're 45.
[00:48:31] And I'm 42.
[00:48:32] And I'm 40.
[00:48:33] You're 45 and I'm 42.
[00:48:36] Got it.
[00:48:37] Yeah.
[00:48:38] You could see though, the wheels turning in his head like, there's an advantage out there.
[00:48:42] What the hell guys?
[00:48:44] Yeah.
[00:48:44] What the hell guys?
[00:48:45] I love it.
[00:48:47] You're, yeah, I'm 45.
[00:48:48] I'm 42.
[00:48:49] You're 45.
[00:48:50] I'm 42.
[00:48:50] We're 45 and 42.
[00:48:52] The two of us, you're 45 and I'm 42.
[00:48:55] Like your age, you're 45 years old.
[00:48:58] Isn't that?
[00:48:58] We look good for 45 and 42.
[00:49:01] Yeah.
[00:49:02] Chappelle.
[00:49:03] I think that this is a scenario that we are not really prepared for in life.
[00:49:08] And, and maybe you have a different lived experience, but like, I feel like in, in real
[00:49:13] life, we don't meet a lot of people that are just blatantly lying about their age.
[00:49:18] Yeah.
[00:49:18] Have you come across that?
[00:49:20] No, not really.
[00:49:21] No.
[00:49:21] I mean, Bryce.
[00:49:25] But like, you don't really meet a person that's like, uh, you know, a certain age, you know?
[00:49:30] And it's like, yeah, I'm, uh, I'm, I'm 22.
[00:49:34] Scally, Scally swears he's 25.
[00:49:36] Mm hmm.
[00:49:37] Yeah.
[00:49:38] Scally.
[00:49:40] Scally.
[00:49:41] Stop it.
[00:49:42] Yeah.
[00:49:42] Yeah.
[00:49:43] I don't think we are, we're trained on how to deal with that.
[00:49:46] No, no one is trying.
[00:49:47] And it's just, it's such a, uh, like it's, it's like the lie is not a good lie because
[00:49:52] like Sue, she, she, she looks very good for her age, but also she's like, I'm a grandma
[00:49:58] and stuff like that.
[00:49:59] Like, so it's kind of like, it's like the, like you can be a grandma at 45 for sure.
[00:50:02] But if you're walking around, like being like the grandma, people are not going to
[00:50:07] give the grandma title to 40, like to a 45 year old.
[00:50:09] It's like, well, Laura Moret was a grandma at 45, you know?
[00:50:12] But she wasn't like, I'm a grandma.
[00:50:14] She was like, I'm Laura Moret.
[00:50:15] I'm the, I'm the hot mom, you know?
[00:50:17] And so Sue was giving like, I'm the granny.
[00:50:19] I'm the gilf.
[00:50:20] And so when people come to her, yeah.
[00:50:22] I see people come to her, um, and her reaction is like, no, we're about the same age.
[00:50:27] People are like, but I've talked to other people and they definitely tell her that you
[00:50:30] have like, you know, your other, your lived experience doesn't matter.
[00:50:32] It doesn't line up with a 42 year old.
[00:50:35] She should Sue tell people, Hey, I'm 45.
[00:50:38] Yeah.
[00:50:39] Like I'm, uh, I'm not 45.
[00:50:42] I'm a, I'm a carpenter.
[00:50:43] I do tie you.
[00:50:44] You know, just start blatantly lying.
[00:50:47] And they just like switching up and like, no, no, I'm joking.
[00:50:49] I am.
[00:50:50] I'm totally, I'm totally 45.
[00:50:51] Chappelle, this happens a lot on reality TV where people just like, uh, say that they're
[00:50:55] a different age.
[00:50:56] Like, uh, Bowie Jane last season on a big brother, 25, but we Jane lied about her age.
[00:51:02] And then had two people who, two women who were older than her laughing at her completely
[00:51:08] about her age.
[00:51:09] Bowie Jane's like, what'd she say?
[00:51:11] I was 38 or something like that.
[00:51:12] I forgot what she said.
[00:51:13] Something like that.
[00:51:13] Yeah.
[00:51:13] And, and, uh, Felicia and Sari who are both in their fifties are like, okay, ma'am.
[00:51:22] And Bowie Jane's like, no, really?
[00:51:24] I'm in my 30s.
[00:51:25] They're like, okay, sure.
[00:51:27] And to the point where finally Felicia's like, I think she older than me.
[00:51:30] I said, no, okay, ma'am.
[00:51:32] Stop it.
[00:51:32] She ain't older than you.
[00:51:33] But it is something that you don't want to put a target on your back.
[00:51:37] You don't want people to say, well, you're older.
[00:51:39] Thus you are weaker or you're older.
[00:51:42] Thus we can't let you get to the end because you are going to have a cool story or you've
[00:51:45] got grandkids.
[00:51:46] You've got more need for this.
[00:51:48] You want to put yourself in the same.
[00:51:49] You want to be as, uh, like relatable as possible.
[00:51:52] Right.
[00:51:53] There's nothing that can separate you from everybody else.
[00:51:56] So Sue's doing the right thing.
[00:51:58] What is it buying her that she's 58 and telling people she's 45?
[00:52:03] No, I'm not saying the lie is the right thing.
[00:52:05] Yeah.
[00:52:05] Why is the wrong thing?
[00:52:06] But I think that trying to make herself fit in a little bit more is the right idea.
[00:52:10] But just fit in.
[00:52:11] Why do you have to lie about the age?
[00:52:13] I think maybe she's on her head that it's just like, it wouldn't be a good thing to
[00:52:16] be that much older than everybody else.
[00:52:18] But I feel like honestly, Sue, the pre-merge is where you have to worry about that.
[00:52:22] Right?
[00:52:22] Like the pre-merge is where we're like, we want to vote out the weak people because we
[00:52:25] need to keep the tribe strong.
[00:52:26] We need to vote out the older people.
[00:52:27] We see that time and time again.
[00:52:29] Now that you've made the merge.
[00:52:31] Mm-hmm.
[00:52:32] Shit.
[00:52:33] Like, hey, I'm older.
[00:52:34] I lied, everybody.
[00:52:35] I'm not 45.
[00:52:36] I'm 65.
[00:52:38] Yeah.
[00:52:38] And everybody's like, what?
[00:52:40] It's like 65.
[00:52:40] You're like, yeah, I'm 65.
[00:52:41] And honestly, I'm not really good at these challenges.
[00:52:44] You know, Frank, I might be 70.
[00:52:46] Right.
[00:52:47] Look, I'm very old.
[00:52:49] I'm just here to play the game.
[00:52:50] I'm just here for the experience.
[00:52:52] You know, you can lean into the other side of the good things that are about being older
[00:52:56] when you get further in Survivor.
[00:52:58] I also found it interesting that she was so offended that Kyle said that she was bad at
[00:53:01] challenges.
[00:53:02] It's like, what?
[00:53:04] It's like, well, I mean...
[00:53:05] I'm not.
[00:53:06] I'm not.
[00:53:06] I'm like Sue.
[00:53:07] Yes, you are.
[00:53:08] I'm really bad at challenges.
[00:53:09] I'm really bad at challenges.
[00:53:11] I lack core strength, balance, all kinds of things necessary.
[00:53:14] And I can't make a fire.
[00:53:15] I totally can't make a fire.
[00:53:16] Like, this is your jam.
[00:53:17] Yeah, this is he's giving you the perfect cover.
[00:53:19] The bad spot is the thing he told the truth about, which is you and Caroline have a mother
[00:53:24] and daughter relationship.
[00:53:25] That's what you should be stomping out.
[00:53:26] But I don't even know her.
[00:53:27] What are you talking about?
[00:53:28] I don't even talk to my daughter.
[00:53:30] OK, what?
[00:53:31] She's not mother daughter relationship.
[00:53:33] I'm only 45.
[00:53:34] Yeah.
[00:53:34] I said that we have a mother and daughter relationship.
[00:53:38] Yeah.
[00:53:38] Not.
[00:53:40] Shut that down.
[00:53:41] You don't want people being like, well, Caroline and Sue are obvious pair.
[00:53:44] They're like mother and daughter.
[00:53:45] How is that possible?
[00:53:46] Yeah.
[00:53:47] She's only 45.
[00:53:47] Rob, that's like you and me and my father.
[00:53:52] Yeah.
[00:53:53] Yeah.
[00:53:56] Yeah.
[00:53:56] That's it.
[00:53:57] I mean, unless you're unless you're secretly, you know, a grandpa.
[00:54:02] I don't know.
[00:54:03] Do you have a kid?
[00:54:05] Do you want to be a grandpa?
[00:54:09] That can be arranged.
[00:54:10] Yeah.
[00:54:11] OK, so but Sue in fairness to Sue, Sue was a second to Kyle in the challenge, right?
[00:54:17] See, she proved that she's not good.
[00:54:19] She's not bad in challenges.
[00:54:20] But also you're proving that you're not bad in challenges.
[00:54:24] That's the thing about survivor.
[00:54:25] Yeah, sure.
[00:54:25] You want to win.
[00:54:26] But also if you go that far, you have to win.
[00:54:29] You have to win at that point because we can't get Kyle.
[00:54:32] Who's our next biggest threat to win immunity?
[00:54:34] It might be Sue.
[00:54:35] OK, Chappelle.
[00:54:37] I want to get your take on a old school survivor feud.
[00:54:44] OK.
[00:54:45] All right.
[00:54:45] So let me start this off.
[00:54:47] Let's go to the social media and.
[00:54:49] Oh, it's an Internet feud.
[00:54:51] Internet feud.
[00:54:52] OK.
[00:54:52] All right.
[00:54:52] So Randy Bailey.
[00:54:55] OK, of course, you know, great Randy Bailey that he tweeted out if selected for survivor
[00:55:02] 50, I promise my loyal fans that every time Jeff Probst yells, come on in, we'll follow
[00:55:08] with yelling guys at the top of my lungs.
[00:55:12] Randy's about 45, bro.
[00:55:14] Yeah.
[00:55:15] Yeah.
[00:55:16] I could see it.
[00:55:17] Mm hmm.
[00:55:18] OK.
[00:55:19] So.
[00:55:19] All right.
[00:55:20] So Randy also said, like, if you're on survivor and they're, you know, asking you to do a
[00:55:25] confessional about how you're running the game, you're going home tonight.
[00:55:28] So Randy's tapped into these episodes.
[00:55:31] And so then Randy's tweet was responded to by Russell Hance, who said, oh, these people
[00:55:41] follow each other.
[00:55:42] You would think that Russell Hance and Randy would be far away from each other at any
[00:55:46] given point.
[00:55:46] He said, oh, you basically quit for season 20.
[00:55:52] So relax, old man.
[00:55:55] Oof.
[00:55:56] That's not how we saw it.
[00:55:58] Yeah.
[00:55:59] Right.
[00:55:59] It was like, you know, good luck to you if you win the game.
[00:56:05] I'll meet you at a club condo with a beer or something like that.
[00:56:07] Right.
[00:56:08] Randy Bailey.
[00:56:09] Randy Bailey gave it his best shot.
[00:56:11] Who was what?
[00:56:11] Y'all was about to work with Randy Bailey.
[00:56:13] Russell really stop it.
[00:56:14] Yeah.
[00:56:14] Randy knew he was out of luck.
[00:56:16] Yeah.
[00:56:16] Why is Randy piling on?
[00:56:19] Why is Russell piling on Randy?
[00:56:21] I feel like that in the Rob versus Russell feud, I feel like that Randy had always historically
[00:56:26] been more anti Rob.
[00:56:28] Why is Russell piling on?
[00:56:30] And it's funny, too.
[00:56:31] Well, we have that kind of friendship.
[00:56:32] They can like nag each other.
[00:56:33] Like, you know, you're like you basically quit.
[00:56:36] It's like, you know, me.
[00:56:37] I basically.
[00:56:38] I don't think so.
[00:56:40] Russell was like not.
[00:56:41] Yeah.
[00:56:42] Yeah.
[00:56:43] Um, yeah, it's very interesting because also has nothing to do with what Randy is talking
[00:56:47] about.
[00:56:47] He's just like, like, don't do any confessionals about such and such.
[00:56:51] You know, I mean, Randy's making a joke about like, you know, survivor and the new
[00:56:58] era and being too woke.
[00:57:02] And Russell, this is like Russell's wheelhouse.
[00:57:06] Why?
[00:57:06] Why are you picking on Randy in this spot?
[00:57:08] There can only be one.
[00:57:10] And that's my lane.
[00:57:12] Yeah.
[00:57:13] Shut up, old man.
[00:57:15] Russell's material.
[00:57:17] Yeah.
[00:57:18] Um, it's it's it is.
[00:57:20] It is a weird spot for them to be.
[00:57:22] I didn't like that little joke.
[00:57:24] Yeah.
[00:57:25] It's just kidding.
[00:57:27] I loved it.
[00:57:30] Look, baby.
[00:57:30] And he's bringing it back.
[00:57:32] Yeah.
[00:57:32] It's a very interesting for you.
[00:57:33] It's a very interesting for you for sure.
[00:57:35] But it doesn't like I said, it doesn't.
[00:57:37] It's like it's coming out of nowhere.
[00:57:38] Like who wants to see the Randy Russell fight?
[00:57:40] I was like, OK, grandpa, this one out.
[00:57:42] Yeah.
[00:57:43] All right.
[00:57:44] The survivor alumni beef is building.
[00:57:48] All right.
[00:57:49] If you got to pick to it, two other like survivor players to just randomly be from the old
[00:57:53] era, who would you pick?
[00:57:56] Classics legends that we can't bring back the old beef or more new because Randy and Russell.
[00:58:02] This is new beef.
[00:58:02] We need new beef, Rob.
[00:58:04] New title card.
[00:58:06] Yeah.
[00:58:07] For our pay-per-view called survivor.
[00:58:08] New beef survivor series.
[00:58:10] They got to be people that are on social media, right?
[00:58:13] Yes.
[00:58:14] Or we can bring them to social media.
[00:58:15] It doesn't necessarily have to be.
[00:58:16] Just give me like a random fight you would like to see.
[00:58:19] OK.
[00:58:20] I mean, I feel like that Eliza is always one to mix it up on social media.
[00:58:25] Yeah.
[00:58:25] But I feel like that's too easy.
[00:58:26] Too easy?
[00:58:27] I could get in a few with Eliza and I love her.
[00:58:29] She seems great.
[00:58:30] But like, you know, I could get in a few with Eliza right now if I wanted to.
[00:58:33] Yeah.
[00:58:34] The problem is that there's only so many people from the old era like that are on social media and active.
[00:58:41] OK, so we got Scout.
[00:58:44] Yeah.
[00:58:44] Who do we want Scout beefing with right now?
[00:58:46] And it can't be Eliza.
[00:58:47] Is Scout on social media?
[00:58:49] Are you kidding me?
[00:58:51] Yeah.
[00:58:51] I don't follow very closely.
[00:58:53] Listen, Scout being a woman of, you know, a little bit above 45.
[00:58:58] She's not really on Twitter, but she's taking Facebook by storm.
[00:59:02] This lady is out of control.
[00:59:04] I mean, Facebook could be a whole different ballgame.
[00:59:07] That's a whole different thing.
[00:59:09] Yeah.
[00:59:09] You like Scout versus Kobe.
[00:59:14] Kobe.
[00:59:15] Yeah.
[00:59:15] Just like, yeah.
[00:59:17] Just something.
[00:59:17] Who's very active on Facebook?
[00:59:20] Yeah.
[00:59:21] That'll work.
[00:59:22] That'll work for sure.
[00:59:23] OK.
[00:59:24] Yeah.
[00:59:24] All right.
[00:59:24] Chappelle, anything else on your mind around a survivor heading into the individual portion of the game?
[00:59:31] I like the individual portion.
[00:59:32] I always like this part because as they told us in this episode, this is where they graduate from a survivor to a survivor high school.
[00:59:39] Yeah.
[00:59:40] What did you think of that?
[00:59:40] Oh, yeah.
[00:59:41] Speaking of Gabe.
[00:59:43] OK, let me just I guess if we're talking about a little bit of the the social media beef.
[00:59:48] Um, Gabe had a little bit of a spicy post towards Rome that people were talking about.
[00:59:56] Uh, what do you think of this post that was from Gabe who posted to Instagram?
[01:00:03] Hope Jeff seat was comfy.
[01:00:05] Followed by a screenshot of all the Rome votes.
[01:00:10] Is this like a Randy and Russell beef where they're like, ah, you know, like messing with you or is this like a you feel like this is just like a real jab at Rome.
[01:00:19] I don't know.
[01:00:19] And I thought that Gabe and Rome had seemingly no, um, you know, interpersonal conflict in the entire show.
[01:00:28] Yeah, I don't know.
[01:00:30] I don't know.
[01:00:30] I've been listening to Rome's exit press and this is a little spicy.
[01:00:32] It's a little spicy.
[01:00:33] Maybe is Gabe, uh, a Kyle defender like, uh, perhaps.
[01:00:39] Well, he obviously spent much more time with Kyle than he did with Rome.
[01:00:42] He says that Gabe said Kyle could be his limo driver.
[01:00:45] He said he could be his limo driver.
[01:00:47] Um, they are going to work with my limo drivers name out of your damn mouth.
[01:00:52] Right.
[01:00:54] Assuming Kyle makes the jury then and Gabe makes the jury, then they're going to spend way more time together than Rome would have as well.
[01:01:00] So there's a bigger bond here.
[01:01:01] So maybe he's just protecting his guy, but that was, that was very shady.
[01:01:04] We saw all the votes and there were a ton of Rome votes, including the votes that obviously we knew were for baby Andy in case of a vote split or so.
[01:01:12] I mean, in case of, um, you know, split the vote in case of a shot in the dark or something like that.
[01:01:17] Um, I also thought it was very interesting that Rome was talking about, uh, his, uh, you know, the ability to know, like, it could be me tonight.
[01:01:24] And this is, this is my favorite type of survivor player.
[01:01:26] The one who says, who do you believe me or your lying eyes?
[01:01:30] Because we see Rome.
[01:01:33] So, so, so.
[01:01:36] Baby, it's going to be you.
[01:01:37] And I know it's going to be you specifically because I set this all up.
[01:01:41] So as I write your name with no fear that it's me, you know, I'm actually going to write down Sam because I don't need it to be you.
[01:01:49] Yeah.
[01:01:51] Like, listen, I knew that it was going to potentially, uh, be me, but I don't know.
[01:01:57] Is it like, uh, when, when we're saying this ain't even magic verse Larry, this is Michael Jordan versus Kirk Heinrich.
[01:02:04] Or it could also be Michael Jordan versus LeBron and it could go either way.
[01:02:11] So it could be Mike versus Kobe, you know, depending on your preference.
[01:02:14] Yeah.
[01:02:14] No, no, this was definitely like, it was just, it was the like sauce.
[01:02:18] So I know it's going to be you, Doug, but, uh, I'm so comfortable that I'm going to be feasting on Saul's bones tonight.
[01:02:27] Right.
[01:02:28] Or, or, or I could go home.
[01:02:31] Yeah, I could go home, but you know what?
[01:02:34] You know what?
[01:02:34] Would it be a smart move instead of just burning my vote to make some chaos for around it?
[01:02:38] I might not even be in.
[01:02:40] I'm not going to play my shot in the dark because if I was going to go home this time, I'll just go home next time.
[01:02:45] It's like, what are you talking about?
[01:02:46] Yeah.
[01:02:46] That's not how the game is played.
[01:02:48] You win, you win immunity.
[01:02:50] You find an idol.
[01:02:51] You do not necessarily have to go home the next time.
[01:02:53] Chappelle, in fairness to Rome that, you know, that, uh, his confessionals could have been edited differently.
[01:02:58] He could be like, Hey, I am running the game.
[01:03:01] Everybody's eating out of the palm of my hands.
[01:03:03] Not right now.
[01:03:05] And they cut off the knot where he said that.
[01:03:08] He missed the knot.
[01:03:09] It is the most damning voting confessional that we've had in a very long time because no one asked you for this.
[01:03:16] No one asked you for this extra information.
[01:03:18] When you go in and vote, you say something like, uh, I'll be the same.
[01:03:21] You know, you, you, you get in, you get here and you say your goodbyes to the person you're voting for.
[01:03:26] You do not outline your, your master villainous plan and tell us that there is no world where you're going home.
[01:03:31] And then tell us afterwards, it was like a 25% chance.
[01:03:37] People were saying survivor 47 was getting too boring.
[01:03:40] I was going to say survivor 47 is boring.
[01:03:44] And it wasn't boring.
[01:03:45] It wasn't boring.
[01:03:46] Uh, I think that it just giving us a lot to, a lot to think about.
[01:03:49] And I'm very interested to hearing some of the new exit press as these new players are going to be getting eliminated throughout until we get to our finale to see, you know, if anybody asks, so what did you think about those moments, you know, from, you know, from wrong.
[01:04:01] Or from either of the previously, uh, you know, voted out players.
[01:04:06] Like I would love to hear Rachel's point of view of the Anika blindside because Andy's like bragging about it in front of her at the damn tribal council.
[01:04:12] If I was Rachel, I'd be like, come on, I'm right here.
[01:04:15] You know?
[01:04:16] Oh yeah.
[01:04:17] Tribal council is not fun.
[01:04:18] Tribal council is not fun.
[01:04:19] Andy goes, that was great.
[01:04:21] I love by side.
[01:04:22] It was fun as hell.
[01:04:24] Andy.
[01:04:25] I thought our thing was that we're at the bottom and we know it.
[01:04:27] Stop acting like you're at the top.
[01:04:29] These people need to think you're at the bottom too.
[01:04:30] You're like, I was in on it.
[01:04:32] Poor Rachel.
[01:04:32] She's the one who sucks.
[01:04:34] Like, no, reel it in, reel it in.
[01:04:36] So yeah, a lot to think about as we exit this episode, but I liked it.
[01:04:40] I liked the episode a lot.
[01:04:42] Yeah.
[01:04:42] It's been a great season so far.
[01:04:45] No duds, uh, in terms of like the episodes.
[01:04:48] And so, yeah.
[01:04:50] Yeah.
[01:04:50] And I feel like that, uh, in the new era, I feel like sometimes in the pre merge, uh,
[01:04:54] we sort of like, uh, get it like stall out a little bit, like right towards the end of
[01:04:58] the pre merge, get a couple of, uh, maybe not so exciting votes, but we didn't even get
[01:05:02] that so far through six weeks.
[01:05:03] So I think we're in a really good spot.
[01:05:05] We haven't got any quits.
[01:05:06] We haven't got any medivacs.
[01:05:08] We haven't got any, uh, we haven't had any just like straightforward votes.
[01:05:13] And if that, if they keep this up, yeah, this could be one of the better seasons
[01:05:17] of the new era.
[01:05:18] I will say that.
[01:05:19] I, it could be the best season of the new era.
[01:05:21] I just feel like that we are, are on a trajectory where I feel like that a lot of the places
[01:05:26] where you ding these new era seasons, I mean, ding in a bad way that they're, that they're
[01:05:32] like, okay, well there was a couple of boring episodes.
[01:05:36] Pre merge was boring and then it gets good.
[01:05:38] So we like by our like map, we shouldn't even be at the good part yet.
[01:05:44] Right.
[01:05:45] Exactly.
[01:05:45] We normally will you either get one or the other, you know, you get a strong pre merge
[01:05:49] or a strong post merge or whatever the case may be.
[01:05:52] But this has been such a strong pre merge.
[01:05:54] And without the way the characters are acting right now.
[01:05:57] Um, the casting was great.
[01:05:59] It doesn't seem like it's going to slow down any, you know?
[01:06:01] Yeah.
[01:06:01] So I, although we can nitpick, Oh, this twist isn't this twist and this, I think we're getting
[01:06:06] some good survivor.
[01:06:07] Every episode has been good.
[01:06:08] Yeah.
[01:06:08] So I'll take it.
[01:06:10] Okay.
[01:06:11] All right.
[01:06:12] Chappelle, what else is coming up for you?
[01:06:14] I'm going to recap kickback.
[01:06:15] I'm talking about the walking dead.
[01:06:17] As we wrap up the most recent season of the walking dead, Daryl Dixon season to the book
[01:06:21] of Carol, me, AJ MASH as Kalis, Josh Wiggler.
[01:06:24] Check that out on, uh, the zombie kickback over on recap kickback or the, we know, uh,
[01:06:29] the walking dead.
[01:06:30] Um, and then you can, uh, catch out, uh, the other, the other recap kickback, uh, content
[01:06:36] G and I are talking about Abbott elementary every other week.
[01:06:38] Uh, Mari and I are talking about, uh, I don't know.
[01:06:41] We're just talking every week, me and Mari, but about black entertainment news, about movies.
[01:06:45] We had Kayla fro from the YouTube big brother content that she does come on as our guest
[01:06:50] to talk about last week.
[01:06:51] And so we got much, much more coming your way, but you can check that out.
[01:06:54] Recap kickback.com, uh, or follow on all social media platforms at recap kickback.
[01:06:58] Okay.
[01:06:59] All right.
[01:07:00] Chappelle and I also on nothing but Netflix talked about the number one movie on Netflix.
[01:07:04] Don't move very, uh, little, little bit of a spooky, scary, right?
[01:07:12] Yeah.
[01:07:12] A little bit of a horror thriller.
[01:07:15] And it's the number one movie on Netflix.
[01:07:16] We called it, we got, we got ahead of the game.
[01:07:18] You called it.
[01:07:19] You called it.
[01:07:20] I saw it a mile away.
[01:07:21] Yeah.
[01:07:21] Go check it out.
[01:07:22] Listen, this is an endorsement.
[01:07:23] Go check it out.
[01:07:23] You're like MJ versus Kirk Heinrich on the algorithm.
[01:07:27] Oh, I thought you were going to say, I was like MJ versus Cam and big brother 26.
[01:07:30] That too.
[01:07:31] Yeah.
[01:07:31] Both things.
[01:07:32] Yeah.
[01:07:32] I said, uh, we could check it out.
[01:07:35] It's a very interesting movie.
[01:07:36] Rob and I had a great time talking about it, I think.
[01:07:38] And so check out nothing but Netflix to hear about that and more.
[01:07:41] Okay.
[01:07:42] All right.
[01:07:43] Thank you so much for joining us here for Club Condo.
[01:07:45] Take care, everybody.
[01:07:45] Have a good one.
[01:07:46] Bye.
[01:07:46] Bye.
[01:08:46] Big thanks to Eric Barger who composed the beautiful ballad you just heard.
[01:08:49] Hear more of his music at It Electric over on Instagram.
