The baby boys catch up on what's been going on over the summer, and we get right to business. We introduce or we familiarize ourselves with this cast of 51, giving our first impressions off of their cast photos,

[00:01:51] and as only the way Survivor News can do, we give our predictions on who we think will be inducted into the illustrious third boot club. We also give our predictions on who we think will be the first merge boot, and we give our winner predictions. This is so much more.

[00:02:50] Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Survivor News' first look at the Survivor 51 cast. This cast looks amazing. This cast looks pretty fun. And it is the Baby Boys right back with some preseason coverage to basically look at the cast, see what we think, and talk about where we think some of these castaways might fall this season.

[00:03:13] So first and foremost, ladies and gentlemen, let me welcome back the man, the myth, the legend from The Floor is Lava, from The Circle, the alternate on Survivor 47, 48, and 49. And he who just participated in a Survivor LRG over the weekend, ladies and gentlemen, Jack Atkins is in the building. Hey, I hosted it, Wendell. Even better.

[00:03:42] You're missing an accolade. I saw something being posted on the Instagram with Jack, Davon, Sandra. Oh, yeah. Well, I saw a lot of people in there. Yeah. It was a star-studded cast. I had a little bit of imposter syndrome. And that's why that got eliminated early. Oh. Oh. When did you... Let me...

[00:04:12] Yeah. Oh. Wait a second. Bryce, I was the third boot. Wow. Surprise, surprise. Surprise. All by design. I wanted to be close to the baby boy, so... But it's going to be back. The summers always feel so slow without the baby boys, without Survivor. And I just moved to New York temporarily.

[00:04:42] But I'm excited for all of the premiere stuff. I'm going to be able to come to all the premiere. Bryson Wentz presents. I don't know if there's still tickets, but get them while they're hot. And see the baby boys next week. And start a podcast again. So I'm very excited to be here. What does move to New York mean? You know, again, super temporary. Maybe move's not the right term, but I am. I did like an apartment swap. So I do have like a place that I am living at, which I think is more of a move than like, oh, I'm just staying at a hotel.

[00:05:12] So... What realtor company did you go through? Well, I've never gone through a realtor because I don't have a house either way. So... No, I did an apartment swap with a friend. He was looking to come to LA. I said, I'm working remote. I can use a little change of scenery. Go see some New York friends. Pull up to the Survivor 51 Bryce in one Presents premiere. And so we made it happen. How... What application did you put in? How... Where did you see this at?

[00:05:43] Just on Instagram stories. That's how the younger generation is doing things, Bryce. We're cutting out the middleman. So wait, somebody posted and said swapsies? Yeah, exactly. Anyone want to do a swapsies? I'm interested. Did you guys like FaceTime and give a tour of the apartment? Yeah, pretty much. I mean, we sent pictures and stuff. And he was at... He got to LA a little bit early because he had other stuff to do.

[00:06:13] So he stayed at mine the night before I left. So I kind of gave him the lay of the land. Showed him the pool. You know? All that good stuff. Oh, okay. Come on, pool. Yeah. Okay. So you showed him the pool. Oh, yeah. But enough about me. How are you guys doing? Well, let me go ahead and introduce the man of the hour.

[00:06:42] The boss man himself. The leader. Our fearless leader. My best friend. The third boot from Kageyan. The man who has made a legend of his name in this Survivor community. [00:14:02] Shall we? Well, I mean, before we talk Survivor 51. Let's talk BWP. We have to talk Bryce and when we are leaving this world and we're heading into the open era. We are exploring all these cities this season. And so if you've never been to a Bryce and when event before, this is your chance to leave this earth and come explore the open era with us.

[00:14:31] We are heading to New York, Chicago, Washington, D.C. Our girl Sophie B is going to be holding it down in Nashville. We're going to San Fran, Philadelphia, Boston, New York. And honestly, this is the most blind, I think, that I've gone into a season, especially a First Impressions podcast.

[00:15:54] So I'm excited to and that's just me being honest, but I'm excited to see who we got because it's like some of these people I might not even really see yet. So it makes it all that more exciting. Glad you did his homework. Yeah. Well, it's a First Impressions podcast. It wouldn't be a good First Impression if I've already had an impression. Well, I hate to break it to you, Jack, but I think you might be in store.

[00:16:17] There are a lot of white men, so I think you're going to have the pick of the litter. Jack's going to be like, can I get three winner picks? Let's get into it. This cast looks great. It's a great looking cast. They look fun. They look like they are here to play some Survivor. So shall we jump right in?

[00:16:47] I do. I mean, how spicy y'all want to get real quick? Spice it up, Bryce. Well, I mean, we've been on hiatus for the summer and we're back. And you know, one thing about Survivor News is we don't ever shy away from the tough conversations. And this summer, Brooke and I were doing a summer rewatch of Amazing Race Season 29.

[00:17:11] And throughout the season, I kept getting comments like, love the Amazing Race, but would love to take, would love the baby boys take on what we think of the diversity initiative that we see in this cast. Because the cast looks amazing, but it does look like they have straight away from the commitment that they gave to us. So I'm just curious to know what y'all think.

[00:17:41] Optically, from this cast photo, it doesn't look like Survivor is doing their diversity initiative anymore. But, you know, maybe if we get into it, they might be able to say that such and such is a 17th of such and such. And they might have some kind of plausible deniability. But I don't know. It looks a little, it doesn't look too diverse. It doesn't look too diverse.

[00:18:11] That's what I will say. Okay. Yeah. Well, I mean, yeah. I mean, I'm excited for the season. The cast looks great, but it does. Does it look like? I'll say I'm hoping that the diverse options we do have, I hope they get a nice highlight in the episodes and we can still get that representation on screen. Well, seriously, we're not, we're not afraid to talk to CBS.

[00:18:40] So, you know, sometimes things are a matter, it's a matter of how you approach it and when you approach things. So like, you know, in 2020, we went there at the right time and things changed. And in this case, we're going to look at what's going on and do some research and maybe get with our people. And then maybe we'll talk to them. And that's how it goes. There are ways of going about things. And an approach that we take or our people have taken towards CBS has been one that worked in the past.

[00:19:10] And if we feel the need to have that conversation again, we can absolutely have that conversation again. Okay. I just wanted to know your thoughts because the posse was asking. And so, you know, we aren't scared to share our thoughts. But overall, it does look like a great cast.

[00:19:30] And even just looking quickly at the cast, there is a bit of precipitation in the Britchers just from the quick scan. So, I mean, on that front, we're happy. We're one for two. So, you know, just say it. I mean, I definitely think we should just look at all of the people, give our first impressions.

[00:19:59] And then maybe at the end, we should do our honorary, give our takes on the third boot, the first merge boot and our winner pick. I do feel like the one stipulation I will say, we can figure out the order when we get there. But no one can have the same pick in the category. Oh.

[00:20:28] So, it's like a draft is what you're saying. Interesting. That's just what my opinion is. All right. I'm ready to take some notes. I got my notebook. I'm not going to show you guys because you're going to make fun of me. But I feel like it's fine. I mean, I don't have any notes yet. Why would we make fun of the guy that's staying in your apartment's notebook?

[00:20:57] No, I brought this one from home. Oh. B-Y-O-N. Okay. Let's get into it. So. I'm still getting my rhythm back a little bit. Can we get into it? Let's start with the first cast away that I'd like to start with is Alaya or Alaya Puglia. Oh. Puglia.

[00:21:26] What's her name? It's either Alaya or Alia. I believe it is. I want you to rock the boat. Rock the boat. Work the middle. Work the middle. Change positions on me. New position. New position. Stroke it for me. Stroke it for me. Oh my God. What's the name of this contestant?

[00:21:55] I mean, I've already had it narrowed down quite a good bit. Alaya, I would guess. Okay. And okay. It could be. It's probably Alaya. And her last name. Listen, I'm going to be reading the names. I might be butchering the names. And I'm just going to preemptively apologize. Puglia. Oh. Okay. She's from Gloucester City, New Jersey or Gloucester City.

[00:22:25] I don't know. Gloucester, I think. Gloucester. If it's one of those white names. You can defer. I do not know. Gloucester City, New Jersey. Now she's in Providence, Rhode Island. Ooh. She is a chef. And a little tidbit. She describes herself as a bold, independent woman raised by bold, independent women.

[00:22:51] She says she's adaptable and wants to build loyalty and lead with kindness early in the game. She's 24 years old. Alaya. Okay. I like that. I like kind and friendly. She's a chef. So I feel like she works well under pressure. And yeah, I like Alaya. Maybe she'll cook up some good cuisine out there too. Maybe she'll be able to find some things and mix up something delicious for them.

[00:23:20] I like her. And he takes Jack. I'm just trying to get this light working again. It's not how it's been dark over here. We also, she also, she described herself as a bold, independent woman raised by bold, independent women. So I don't know. Do we see an all-women's alliance coming from Alaya? Like, I don't know. You know? I'd like that. I like the Destiny's Child reference question. Tell me what you think about me. I buy my own diamonds and I buy my own rings.

[00:23:51] Yeah. Alaya looks strong. And she's from New Jersey. And we know a lot of strong players come out of New Jersey. So there's that. Although she's living in Providence right now. Yeah. No, I think, I mean, I recently watched the film Tony, which is about Anthony Bourdain. Oh!

[00:24:15] And how he started, you know, it was about the first summer that he worked in a kitchen in Provincetown, which I believe is Rhode Island. Yeah. And, but I just, it kind of, it sounds like there's some similarities there. And just kind of like what Bryce said, working in a kitchen, there's a lot, you're working under pressure, you know what I mean? And it's also, that's sort of a team game in and of itself is in collaborating with kind of all different sorts of characters.

[00:24:44] So I would, I would reckon Alaya is, is in a pretty good spot to start things out here. Yeah. I think so too. Any strong female players you could think of from New Jersey, Jake? Yeah. I mean, Michelle Fitzgerald. Okay. Come on. Come on. Yeah. But especially her wearing the yellow, I was like, that kind of gives Michelle a little bit. Natalie Anderson.

[00:25:14] Tony Blackos. He's not a woman. He's not a woman. Was your favorite female player last season from New Jersey or lived to New Jersey? Who was my favorite female player last season? She was cut from a different cloth. Who, Chrissy? Oh, Stephanie.

[00:25:44] Stephanie's like, I don't, I don't mind that they dropped the diverse CD. She lived here, bro. She lived like 30 minutes from us. Okay. All right. Well, we got Alaya. Okay. The next, next up, we have Alexis Levine. She's 34 years old, lives in Atlanta, Georgia. Her occupation, a criminal defense attorney. Tidbit.

[00:26:11] She plans to hide the fact that she's an attorney and tell the cast that she's a care coordinator at a treatment center. Oh. Which is actually a job she previously held. She's a mother of one and describes herself as a social butterfly who can also be a chameleon. Okay. Okay. Those are a lot of Bryce Isaiah references. I feel like the social work background, the social butterfly aspect, defense attorney. I feel like Alexis isn't going to take no ish.

[00:26:40] I feel like she's going to get right down to business. What, why do you think people hide? I see a lot of times on Survivor, like they don't like, they don't want people to know that they're a lawyer. Is it because they can litigate well? Like, do that? Because I think there's a lot of skills that come with a law degree or even, or being an attorney. There's a lot of, like, you can negotiate people. You know how to, like, maneuver. You can go in different spaces.

[00:27:09] Sometimes you're known to be smart, especially depending on where you went to school. There's a lot there. You've had a few winners. Yeah, I feel like that's the most, the biggest stigma that there is in Survivors around, like, at least occupationally, is around being a lawyer. Like, people usually, it was like, she said fun fact that she, like, plans to lie about. It's like, that's almost a given at this point. And I think also Bryce, especially maybe being a criminal defense attorney, that could have a negative association.

[00:27:41] Yeah, but yeah, I think it'll be, I think it'll be interesting. She had a lot of interesting elements working for also being, I think she, what, a single mother, too? Or is she a mother? Is she married still, too? I don't know if she's a single mother or not. Sorry. Okay. There's a lot of information. Come on. I feel like I saw her pop up on, like, TikTok, too, about, like, her being on this season. We like that.

[00:28:09] So, my one question, though, is you have a law degree, correct, Wendell? Yeah. You weren't a threat on Winners at War. Bryce, I didn't say anything about that degree my first season, which I won. I just talked about being a builder, a furniture builder and designer. And I think that holding that information might have helped me out a little bit.

[00:28:42] My question is, this is, I don't know. This is the open era, right? And so, like, why I'm even more excited about watching 51, again, because 41, I had such high hopes. And so, I'm just curious to see whether or not, I know that's what she's going in with, but I'm just curious to see the dynamic of this season and whether or not those type

[00:29:05] of, I don't want to say stereotypes, but those type of stigmas carry over into the new game. Because I think if I were out there and somebody said they were a lawyer, I would like, okay, like, I would want to work with them. Yeah. Speaking of which, so, yeah, it's the open era now. Still don't really know exactly what that means, but this cast is 21, right? And it's two tribes. That's been confirmed. Yes. And it's two tribes.

[00:29:32] So that's another exciting reason why I'm really interested in getting into the open era, because there are two tribes. And for the longest time, I was over to two tribes, because that's all we got. And then we got the three-tribe situation, and it ain't really pan out too well for me. And then we just saw it constantly. And so it wasn't really a way for people to maneuver if they just were in an unlucky spot.

[00:30:00] So again, I'm excited in this new era to see the dichotomy of these tribes and whether the social construct of the old two tribes will play into this, or will it just be a burst of new things? Yeah. Yeah. And then obviously with an odd number of casts, I wonder what they'll do at the start to balance the number. Maybe Exile Island. Who knows? Oh. Oh. What I do know.

[00:30:29] If you pull her up again, what remind me of her name? Alexis. Alexis. Oh, is Jack taking a note? No, I see two thumbs. Well, we don't even want to get into that, because mind you, I like Alexis, but them thumbs that aren't even parallel, they concern me. And especially with her already coming in saying she's going to lie about being a lawyer, that concerns me. But I like Alexis. I like everything that she brings, so I'm excited to watch her.

[00:30:59] That doesn't concern me, man. She's got a good alias. She has an actual job that she used to do. So it's like, you got all the answers for this previous job of yours, just stay in that bag. Although her outfit is kind of giving lawyer, too, though. She's out the courtroom in that outfit. I'd be like, why did they have the care coordinator coming through in a blazer? Excuse me, Jack. Not to say that the care coordinator... Excuse me, Jack.

[00:31:26] But, okay, don't, you know, the way they do the out costuming on Survivor is like very much to match the vibe of the job. A care coordinator is someone that you would think is like very calm and pleasant. Like, I don't think they would put them in a business-y outfit. So that's, first of all, Jack, that's business casual. Hey, we have to... But a care coordinator, aren't you, like, it's not really, it's not necessarily, it's more you're relating to people. It's a social sort of job, no? Like...

[00:31:56] So we just come in there like, yo, yo, yo, what's up? What's up? Well, if, in my mind, if I'm costuming, I'd imagine my care coordinator probably wearing like a nice sweater, you know, maybe a sweater giving a real calm, friendly vibe. If my care coordinator came through in a blazer, I'd be like, I don't want my care coordinator to give a business vibe. You know? I want it to feel like, hey, they're coming over to my house. We're going to have a nice cup of tea.

[00:32:23] Well, when I don't normally take food or drink at other people's homes, but sometimes we have to go to court. And, you know, we got to look professional, Jack. Okay. I didn't see you in a blazer on your season. They put him in purple pants. Also, yeah, apologies, I'm now in the dark. But anyway, I will get this figured out by the next episode. I got in late last night.

[00:32:53] I didn't think the lightning situation was going to be this dire. All right. Who we got next, Wendy Z? Let's see. And next up, we have, we have Anne, Dian Anne Nguyen. She's 24 years old from Fort Worth, Texas. She's a medical student.

[00:33:16] And her tidbit, one of the youngest castaways, she's entering with a YOLO mentality. Oh. She says she can be a little weird, hates losing, and wants to play an authentic but cutthroat game. Oh. I'm scared for her. If, like, I don't, I'm scared for her. From that tidbit, I'm a little scared. That's all I'm saying. I think we might have the potential of a dark horse. Oh.

[00:33:47] Oh. Okay. YOLO. Okay. She's saying she's not scared of being cutthroat. I'm not sure her size. But she looks like she could be, but, like, her and I look like we have a similar frame. So I'm assuming she's petite. She's a great slim waist. And so I'm thinking people might not think of her as a physical threat. So I'm thinking with her saying, like, anybody that say YOLO, I'm scared of them. I think we might have the potential of a dark horse here.

[00:34:17] Right. But if you're saying that you're a little weird. I love that. Okay. But, you know, I don't know how that rubs everyone on first impressions. And then you say that you hate losing, which. Competitive. That's competitive. But you got to know how to respond to a loss. Like, if you hate losing and you, you know, you flip. Freak out a little bit. Yeah. And then it's like, whoa, you know. I don't.

[00:34:46] What in that tidbit said that I hate losing and I flip out when I lose? It didn't say that. But I just don't know how she's going to respond to a loss. And I hope she doesn't flip out for her sake. I'm just saying. I'm scared if you're talking about YOLO. I'm a little weird. The YOLO kind of threw me, too. I'm going in. Guns blazing. Like, yo. I'm just saying. I'm scared for her. I hope she does really well. She's a med student. Obviously, obviously, she's very smart.

[00:35:15] But I hope that her weirdness doesn't rub people the wrong way. And I hope that her responses to losing because she hates losing. We'll see. Yeah, I kind of agree. I think she'll be really fun. I mean, she looks super fun. And like you said, like a little bit weird, but also going to play with like a YOLO mentality. I mean, it sounds like she's going to play hard and be outspoken.

[00:35:45] And even the cardigan is like such a fun piece. Not to get into it's a look territory. But that's kind of like if you're rocking that cardigan with stars all over. It's like, OK, I'm not afraid to stand out and be the star. But in that same vein, I think the things that she said also worried me a little bit. I'm also surprised someone younger than I throwing out the term YOLO in the big 26. That to me is a little bit like confusing.

[00:36:13] That's more millennial, I would say. Jack, what and what place did you first meet Wendell at? At Hearts of Reality. No, that you really like got to know, like your first like interaction with Wendell. What what room were you at in? The bathroom. OK, so. What? Yes.

[00:36:42] So you met Wendell in a bathroom and he was taking a wet dump. That's not weird. And y'all and y'all are still cool, right? Well, to be fair, I had first talked. Well, OK, I had first been at Hearts of Reality and we talked because we were both growing in South Africa. And then we did meet before that situation. We met stateside at the airport. And then some people, if you don't know how to, you know, control it and present a certain way around certain people, if you're just being weird kind of indiscriminately, some people are going to be like, oh, that's weird. [00:38:11] So if you throw a few, even if you get a few people in your corner, if you throw a few people off out there, it can work against you. You sparking up a conversation with a man coming out of a bathroom that just had a loose stool. That's not how it went at all. The way that you're describing it is the weirdest thing that's happened on this call. You're talking about yourself now.

[01:09:59] Like, Jack, you just recently got a suit for your uncle's wedding. Wendy's, you went to multiple weddings this summer. You know the serious job of a wedding photographer. Her energy just from this photo is very bright.

[01:15:22] Her friends apparently described her as both agitating and lovely. Which already sounds promising for television. Okay. I'm getting Reem vibes. I hope at some point this season we get a mental health alliance or a care coordinator alliance. Because there are a lot of, like, social worker, mental health, crisis management things that...

[01:15:51] A lot in this background. So, Kristen looks interesting. I could see, like, where she says, I'm agitating. Right? I feel like Kristen don't hold back. I feel like Kristen speaks her mind. I feel like this photo says a lot. The blazer and that bright, shiny shirt. I think Kristen has a really good shot. I think she might have to find her footing.

[01:16:19] But I feel like once she finds her footing, things will be good. Do you like this top and jacket, Jack, for a crisis management? Where it's like a blazer that lets you know you're serious. A fun shirt. Well, actual... I mean, sort of, yeah. But crisis management, is that in the realm... The genuine question, is that in the realm of, like, mental health? Or is that kind of like a, hey, I'm working at, like, a hedge fund.

[01:16:47] And if there's a crisis, like, financial crisis... Oh. So that... Okay. So I took it as... Because I've worked in crisis management before. So I took it as, like, mental health. Hmm. Because there are a lot of crises that could be out. You're right. It could be like an Olivia Pope-type situation. Oh. And that would make it even more... Inept to Survivor. I mean, they both would.

[01:17:15] Or crisis, it could be like, hey, there was, like, a hurricane. And now we're... But now that's in the realm of social work, obviously. But that's more, like, overall strategy, too. Where maybe you're at, like, some headquarters. And you're like, okay, here's how we're going to respond to this crisis. It might not be boots on the ground. It might be like, this is the strategy. But I think Kristen, right? She looks really... She looks like your fun aunt. Like, she looks like... That's the vibe.

[01:17:43] But the fact that she described herself as, like, a little bit agitating but fun-loving. I see her being really entertaining. And so many... Even, like, the fact that she lives in Santa Barbara now. That's sort of, like, a notoriously chill place. But it's one of those things where it's crisis management. I feel like it could be a certain type of job where I've seen... Like, I see a lot on Survivor. There's certain occupations that people think will be, like, perfect for Survivor.

[01:18:08] And I think that almost gives them a sense of, like, overconfidence as to their skill set. And obviously, crisis management. You would think that maybe that skill set translates to, hey, we're getting ready for tribal. This is a crisis situation here. Here's how I can get, like, my ducks in a row. But I'm worried that if she comes on too strong and too confident about how that skill set might translate. Because ultimately, I don't think it's going to as much as maybe potentially she thinks.

[01:18:37] Then if you're coming in too overconfident about your skills going into, like, a tribal, that's a great way for people to be like, Kristen's doing too much. Like, let's maybe just cut Kristen. And I also think it's always tough to be the oldest cast member, too. Whatever age that might... Like, you know, if you're 30 and you're a group of 20-year-olds, like, that might be... That's still... That works against you a little bit.

[01:19:04] So, I think it's an uphill battle, but I think Kristen's got a good vibe that I'm hopeful she'll be able to, like Bryce said, find her foot in. She looks tough. Yeah. And self-aware, right? Like, if you're saying, like, people call me agitating, like, you know that. So, I like Kristen. Yeah, it gives a little Denise, too. Yeah. I feel like we've had a couple people now that say that Survivor is their calling or their destiny or they were made for it.

[01:19:32] Maybe there's a destiny alliance afoot. Oh, I like that. We're going to sing. Hmm. How does it make you... How do you navigate Wendell being the oldest podcaster with us? Do you feel like you're odd because Jack and I are so much younger? Or do you feel like you mix in well? You know, that's a great question. I'm glad you asked that, Bryce. [01:21:56] This was my quintessential It's a Look look. This baby boy, like I've never seen a photo like this. Lives in Puerto Rico. I, from Ireland, probably going to have a little accent. I feel like I don't get winner per se, but I get the center, the nucleus of what's going on. So, I really like Louis.

[01:22:27] Yeah. I mean, back to back, we're getting Reem vibes. But, no, I think I saw his little intro video. Oh. And, yeah. You call him Reem? I said Reem vibes. But, no, I saw his little, like, intro video, I think. And, yeah, he's got an Irish accent. He's got all the Irish lingo. Really high energy. I love that.

[01:22:55] He, like, moved to Puerto Rico and, you know, has a Puerto Rican wife. His wife? How do you know that? Well, didn't he move to Puerto Rico for his wife? [01:23:23] I don't think he's with that at all. Well, actually, I guess I don't know how long he's lived there. But he's also must be a citizen because he's on Survivor. And so, I mean, theoretically, maybe his wife is Puerto Rican. They got married and he has citizenship through that. He got citizenship. Got it. I said he moved to Puerto Rico to live with his wife on a bus. I didn't, I don't know. My bad. I sort of interpreted that as his wife was already living in Puerto Rico. Yeah.

[01:23:52] And now, and of course, he's on Survivor. You got to be a U.S. or Canadian citizen. Well. But maybe he's been there. I don't know how long he's living. If he's been there a long enough time, he can just be a naturalized citizen. But, but yeah, he just looks like he has great energy, really fun. So, again, Bryce, it might be tough to see him as the winner, but I could definitely see him going far. Yeah. Yeah.

[01:24:16] I could, I could just see him as a Survivor legend, like a Survivor personality that, you know, we always say each season has a winner, but sometimes the winner also sometimes isn't synonymous with the season. There are other people. And I feel like Lewis potentially has the chops. I agree.

[01:24:39] I'm just chaotic, mischievous, likes pushing buttons, getting involved in drama. That, those descriptors scare me a little bit. Fair. If he jumps out, if he jumps out of the bus too early and if he's trying to do all of that stuff, that scares me. Okay.

[01:25:02] But there are some really good players that were into all of that and they kept it low and they won the game. So there also are players that enter like that and people keep around because they're always a target. Right. And we've never, and this is the open era. So let's open this up. This could be a new strategy and he might be able to flip it.

[01:25:56] So despite presenting as outgoing, social and goofy, she says she's extremely logical. She has a personal philosophy of saying yes to things that scare her or make her uncomfortable. That's pretty cool. I like her. She gives me Victoria Balmain vibes. And I, Victoria was smart. She ain't take no games. Like she's a business owner. She comes from scientists. I love the attitude that she's giving.

[01:29:15] Next up, we have Maggie Nestor, 40 years old, from Charlestown, West Virginia. Maggie is a farmer, a mother, and a lifelong hunter and fisher who calls herself a jack of all trades. She's athletic, has a therapy degree, and also is a teacher. So there are quite a few different skill sets here. I'm getting tsunami 3.0.

[01:29:43] So I get, like, I wouldn't say older because she's Wendell's age. So, but a mother, hunter, farmer. There's a lot of people that we've already listed that are in the agriculture realm. I feel like Maggie looks strong. Maggie looks fun. I feel like I could see Maggie going to the end. Is she the first Survivor player from West Virginia?

[01:30:12] I feel like there's, I remember there not being one for a long time. Really? Shout out to West Virginia. My dad's from. She's got a lot of, a lot of things to her. A jack of all trades, that's a great skill to have going into Survivor. Therapy degree, athletic, and a teacher. So, yeah, she's, she's got a lot. I think she's probably got a lot of, like, life experience, too, that she's going to bring to the Red Island. Yeah.

[01:31:43] Mike looked like he didn't come to play. Um, yeah. So I, him and that other young lady that we did, uh, that didn't like to lose. Hope they're on the same tribe together. Uh, yeah. Mike looks like a serious player. And so I get a little nervous for somebody like that, uh, because it gives either it's going to go as planned or it's not.

[01:32:12] It reminds me a lot of David Sampson from my season. Yeah. Oh. With the baseball energy, with the leader energy, with the like, you know, David came to play. David came to win and it didn't necessarily work out for David. But with Mike being from New York, I think there is something about people from New York. They say you can make it in New York. You can make it anywhere. So, um, yeah, I'm very interested.

[01:32:40] No, David's a great pull because David, I felt like came in and, you know, he got elected the leader in that initial on the mats. But I felt like David had this, this air about him of judging others' performances because that's his career in baseball. It felt like he was assessing everybody's value, but it's like, hey, out on the island, everyone's equal. You can't be the one judging other people's value if you're not bringing value yourself.

[01:33:09] Um, and so I hope that Mike, right. I hope that he can come in, but I feel like he looks like he'll hopefully be like you said, Bryce, with the New York thing. Like, I think that helps with overall social adeptness. And he gives a little bit of like a Tyler Fredrickson where Tyler kind of came from a sports background. I think if he can channel more Tyler Fredrickson than David Sampson, he can do all right. For some reason, I was getting Joaquin vibes. Oh, oh.

[01:35:36] But in the moisture of the britchers department is fairly diverse, in my opinion. It's hitting the quota. It's hitting something. But yeah, I like Ori. Strong. We love a strong. Black. Smart. Books and street smart. Intelligent. Used to play football.

[01:36:07] Can run plays. So I like it. I like the way he's dressed. I think this is like a very cool outfit. So I'm excited to see what Ori gives. Yeah. I've been. Yeah, no. He looks like a triple threat. He looks charismatic and smart and obviously a physical threat. I think that can make it hard for him to ultimately win just because he's going to stand out.

[01:36:32] But I also think it's going to be difficult for him to go out early because I just think he's going to do a great job in every department. Fit is great too. Cool pants. I've also noticed a lot of these photos. Good shoe game from this cast. He looks like he's wearing a pair of. Air forces, but they got some pink and some blue on the on the bottom, too. They're not just like the regular white forces. So, yeah. Wendell, what do you think?

[01:36:59] I think it'll be interesting to see him and Brady compete against each other. Yeah. With each other or whatever that is. Two giants. All bra this season. Open era. Yeah. Yeah. That'll be good to watch. Yeah. I'm excited. And they're both smart and they're both, you know, physically imposing people. I also am curious where we have a lot of people in their bios that are saying that they are smart.

[01:37:28] And I'm curious to see, like, because you could be from a small town of a population of, like, 13. And I'm the smartest one here. You know, so that could work. So, again, I'm interested to see how a level of smartness.

[01:37:56] And like Ori said, there is a difference between, like, street smarts and book smarts. And I'm curious to see how that all plays out in the new era with all of these people. So, I'm excited to see Ori. What about you, Jack? No, yeah. No. Same thing I said. I think he's going to be a, he just immediately looks like a standout, like, personality. Right. Amongst this cast.

[01:38:53] So, that, another very super strong background. She says she's used to being underestimated in the courtroom and describes herself as pretty nerdy despite being an ace in court. She wants her alliances to feel genuine closeness with her but says she's also prepared to go to war with anyone. I, she's saying all the right stuff. Yeah. Okay.

[01:39:23] And I love, go ahead, sorry. I just, I love the outfit. I genuinely have not, like, seen her at all before. So, this is, like, feels like I'm, because a lot of them I'd, like, seen in the commercials or whatever. Haven't seen Patty. Initially, I was like, she just looks really cool. Like, the flowy dress, the cropped, like, kind of blazer vest vibe. And then for you to say she's, like, a federal prosecutor for the military, I'm like, all right. She's got a lot of, like, interesting different things going on.

[01:39:52] So, yeah, all good things, I feel like. And so, I definitely can see her doing quite well. Absolutely. Oh. Do we know if she's going to say that she's a federal prosecutor? We haven't watched the episode, so we don't know what anybody's going to say yet. Right? No, because sometimes they say that they're not going to reveal their job. No, she didn't say that. He says she's nerdy.

[01:40:17] And if she can use her nerdy or quirkiness as a smokescreen, I think that that could be good for her. And just keep this cunning, like, sharpness about her or ready to go to war with anyone about her. Like, I think she's a good sleeper. I get Cassidy vibes from her. Right? And I think the thing that stands out the most to me is her saying she's used to being underestimated in a male-dominant courtroom.

[01:40:46] And so, like, we all know sometimes Survivor is not male-dominated. But you know how the first couple of days are. You know, the big guys are always doing stuff. And so, like, I think that she's coming in with the right mindset. Patty, I'm looking out for my girl Patty. I like her. All right. Who we got next, Wendy Z? Next up, we have... What's so funny?

[01:41:16] This is Rob Antonson. He's 40 years old. He's from Cumberland, Rhode Island. He's an airline agent. Father of three who says he's actually glad Survivor didn't happen for him until age 40. He's self-described... His self-described secret weapon is his gift of gab. That's good as an airline attendant. He wants lifelong friendships, but also... He's an agent, not an attendant. Oh, I'm sorry.

[01:41:46] I'm sorry. I'm sorry. And also, he says he's there for the chaos. So, he wants lifelong friends, but he's also there for the chaos. So... So, let me just tell y'all this. I did this look. I ain't really know much about Rob. All I heard was flight that... And I was like, okay, that agent. And I was like, agents have to be good with diffusing and dealing with a lot of chaos.

[01:42:12] Since then, me and Rob been in the DMs. And I've been looking at his social media. Rob gives me Enzo vibes. Oh. Yes. And so, it adds a whole nother layer to Rob that makes me... Now, I'm not predicting how far he gonna go.

[01:42:38] But when I tell you, on Wednesday, I'm tuning in for Brody, Devin, and who the other one? I'm tuning in for a lot. Ori. Ori. But, baby, the way I am going to be watching for Rob, because I feel like Rob is going to put on a show for us.

[01:45:37] First of all, with the last name Cox. She almost gives me Crystal Cox from the legendary season of Gabon, which I love. Also wearing red. Also wearing red. But also, I get a little Vesepia vibes from her. So, I'm interested to see, like, is this Vesepia and Crystal Cox? Now, the only thing that makes me a little nervous is that how she describes herself. Very like me. Empathetic. I'm caring. I'm an empath. Like, I feel other people's emotions.

[01:46:07] And so, I just already know I love Dr. Cox. But I'm just nervous because we don't like... Actually, it's like, I almost don't want Dr. Cox on Survivor. I want Sharonda. Like, I need for her to step up out of that. And I know she has it in her. Being an OBGYN resident. Delivering babies.

[01:46:36] Dealing with all of the hospital baristocrats. So, I just know. So, I have very high hopes for my girl, Sharonda. Yeah. You know what vibes I'm getting? Desi mixed with Drea. Oh. So, are you... What are the qualities that give her? Are you just listing? I'm just looking at her. She looks straight. She kind of almost looks like Drea a little bit.

[01:47:06] But, like, I don't know why I'm getting Desi and Drea vibes from her. Okay. I like the Vesepia pull, Bryce. And I think Bryce, you hit the nail on the head. I think she'll do great. She's going to be social. And, like, yeah. Biggest thing that stuck out to me was... I hope she's not too empathetic. I hope when the time comes that she's able to... twist the knife and make some moves and be cutthroat. And then I think she has a really great shot.

I think she could do well, but I also see a world where she tries to really leverage those crisis management skills and just gets... you know, gets in there a little too deep and gets her hand in the cookie jar and gets caught and just becomes kind of an easy out. [01:54:29] I might as well kick off the merge boot, seeing as how, you know, that too is a badge of honor. And a lot of times, what these tribes do, they all come to one beach and they look for the biggest, strongest, smartest, most handsome, beautiful smile player there is. And that's kind of how they did me on Winners at War.

[01:54:58] And so... So they couldn't find that person? Right. And so I stayed. He voted me off. I think they're going to aim for another very strong, handsome, tall, dark brother by the name of Ori. Sadly, I think Ori is going to be the merge boot. I want him to go to the end.

[01:55:28] I want him to win. But I think that that's going to be my merge brother. Oh. Okay. I didn't see that. Okay. I am going to go with someone who I think will start the game off very strong. You know, be playing it really effectively. Granted, it's two tribes, but maybe there's a swap to three and they're kind of running the show. And I think they're going to play with so much energy and a little bit of chaos

[01:55:57] that come the merge when people start to compare stories, it might get them in a little bit of trouble and they just have such a kind of a natural, naturally big aura and stand out. [01:56:26] similar lines to both of you guys, I think I am going to go with someone that is easy on the eyes, that is charismatic, talented, and beautiful. And I'm going to go with Devin. I could potentially see him getting to the merge, getting along with everyone, kind of like, kind of sort of similar to Caleb a little bit where like, people identify him

[01:56:56] very easily as like, the face of this season. and I could see them wanting to get him out very at that point in time. I would hope not. But that's what what I think. Okay.
