[00:01:23] And let me be clear, my lasagna is way better than Jelly's lasagna. Jack, Wendell, and myself are breaking down the open era, the chaos, the journey, the challenges. We're getting into all of the nuances so much. You know your baby boys are so excited to be back. We just were all together for the premiere episode in New York for the BWP 51.

[00:02:24] It was record. It's recording. Stop our music. I'm not starting to tell the music drops. Welcome to Survivor News, the baby boys are back, baby. Season 51, we're back. We had a great first episode and we're here to cover all of that. But first and foremost, I'd like to introduce

[00:02:49] some of my good, good, good friends, all of whom were with me last night in New York City at the 51 premiere, baby. So first, I'd like to introduce the one and only from The Floor is Lava, an alternate on season 47, 48, and 49, and 50. 51 and 52. Why not? 53, this could

[00:03:19] be my year. 53, this is you from The Circle season two. You might know him as Emily. The one and only Jack Atkins is in the building. What's up, Brodies? Man, good to be back. If you tuned into our preseason first impressions, thank you. But it's good to finally have an episode we can sink our teeth into in chat. So excited to be here.

[00:03:50] It's great to see you. Thanks, Jack. For the intro. I do what I can. You know, I'm trying to start the season off right and strong. Yeah. Next up, we have, you might know him as one of the standout characters from Survivor

[00:04:12] Kai Gai Yon. One of, he lights up the screen. He's electric. Some people might know him as one of the best players to ever play Survivor. He owns an incredible podcast, Empire. The other half, the, I'm stuttering. The other half of Bryce and Wynn. Ladies and gentlemen, Bryce Isaiah is in the building.

[00:04:42] What's popping, baby boys? We're back another season. So good to actually be able to touch Jack yesterday. What? What? Pack it up. I thought we were talking about that, Bryce. I got to see Wynn Deasy. And yeah, we are here. Excited to be here. It's very exciting. It's a very exciting time. It's a time for openness.

[00:05:08] Yes. Oh, yes. It is the open era. And of course, we can't forget our third co-host. Sometimes we forget it's Ghost Island that he won because he beat Ghost on the podcast. But listen, he was all Ghost Island. He was the third merge boot on Winners at War, Destination X Season 2. Wait, Winners at War? Yeah. Destination X Season 2.

[00:05:38] Yet to come out. And the man that loves to text in a group chat. All right, gentlemen, what are the driving orders? But he don't ever seem to be in the driving order. Let's welcome back to the podcast a man who called me incessantly four times this morning. I said, hello? I just

[00:06:05] got my irrigation system fixed. Wendell Holland. Don't do that. That is, that is a, you know what? Yeah. Okay. Jack, I thought he was calling me to talk about Survivor. I'm like, I didn't do the rewatch yet. This man is like, they found the leak. Could you, they found the leak,

[00:06:28] burp? They fixed it. Jack, we're going to touch on this briefly. My front yard, I have an irrigation in my lawn. My front yard slopes. It's pitched, but I wanted to level it. I wanted to regrade the front. So Bryce and I ordered 10 yards of dirt and we regraded it. But there were two of the irrigation sprinklers in that area. So I had to leave holes around them. So they had to come and

[00:06:54] raise the irrigation system. And they found that I had a leak towards my backyard. So they came and fixed it. I was reporting this news to Bryce because Bryce helped me move all that dirt. And I thought he wanted to know, but I guess, I guess not. And just like that, our viewers are hooked and ready to tap in for the new season. It's the open air. Wendell had to open up his sprinklers a little bit,

[00:07:22] but yeah, it was great seeing y'all last night in New York city. It's always fun to podcast after we've been together. Cause I feel like we get other stories going around and beyond the episode. So you have other stories, Jack? Well, what one thing that I just was reminded of as Bryce was doing his intro was I brought a couple of friends. Bryce came to play matchmaker from one of my buddies.

[00:07:48] And as he was setting, you know, working his way in to, to set up and facilitate a little matchmaking that he was like, my buddy, Charlie was like, so what'd you do? You know, what'd you do after survivor? Like, where did that, like, how'd you do, where did that bring you? You don't have to go here. Bryce was like, no, the most serious I've ever seen Bryce was like, so I did win my season. And that shit. And my friend was like, that's great. Like congrats. That's great. And Bryce was like,

[00:08:13] thank you. Thank you. It's been a long journey. Like he did not, he kept the bit going the whole time, which I, and I was just standing there cracking up. Also wondering why Bryce doesn't match me for me a little bit more, but you know, lots of fun stories from last night. Lots of great people. I've seen him do that so many times. Talk about his survivor win. It's so impressive.

[00:08:36] Jack snapped his head so quick. Jack was like, and I was joking, but no, I thought it was a good bit. Like the way, but the way Charlie locked in, I was like, I can't let him down, but also shout out to Charlie from Vanderpump Villa. Okay. He's a tall glass of water. And, um,

[00:09:00] but also Jack was looking fire in his fit. Jack had on some black slacks, some loafers had on like a little button up shirt. He didn't button it all the way up. He had on a tank top, a little chain. Jack was looking fire yesterday. So I needed that. Honestly. Uh, another funny, another quick, funny instance was Charlie's friend who, who doesn't watch a lot of reality TV. Someone was like,

[00:09:30] I think he would ask someone, one of the fans, like, you know, how did you get involved? Like what brought you here? And they're like, Oh, I know Bryson Wendell. And he's like, who's Bryson? And they were just had like a miscommunication, but I realized if you say Bryson Wendell, it's like, it could be someone whose name is Bryson Wendell. Wow. So I was like, that's a first time I've seen that miscommunication, but it's kind of a new, new character in the lower. That's actually the password to all our accounts. Now we're going to have a scholar.

[00:09:59] We just changed him, but he's not lying. But yeah, it was a fun time, uh, just to be back and in the open era to see so many familiar faces, so many new faces. Yeah, it was great. Yeah. It was awesome. It like, it felt like we were back right back in the swing of things. And of course I

[00:10:25] took some time off at the end of last season. So to come back and see all our New York people, all the reality alum. Um, we even had a special guest in the building. Should we talk about that or should we wait, wait to get to that? Louis, uh, from season 51 was in the building. It was so exciting to see Louis, uh, his girlfriend,

[00:10:53] uh, her friend. It was just great. Uh, and we had so many amazing reality stars in the building. There also was the premiere of 99 to beat, uh, that had some survivor crossover. I think Kelly, uh, uh, Nibariano, uh, Nibariano. However you want to say it. Yeah. Uh, she was on it. And so what the cool thing about it is why it's so great with the survivor community. Kelly was having a watch

[00:11:20] party a couple of blocks down. And so it was like, people were coming from Kelly's to ours, ours going to Kelly's coming back to ours. And so it was like, so great of the survivor community. So like, again, and shout out Ricky, uh, from amazing race. He was on, uh, shout out Frank. Who? The floor, the floor. Yes. Frankie Cena, Ricky Cena. Yeah. There were a lot of,

[00:11:47] there were a lot of our reality friends in the building for, cause they watched the floor before watching survivor at our event too. And yeah, it was, it was a night of lots of reality happenings. Yeah. I mean, now more than ever, it's kind of peak reality time last night, survivor premier, the floor premier 99 to be premier big brother traders is on tonight. It's lots of, lots of reality

[00:12:13] to keep up with the fans are staying fed and it's, it's a good time to be a reality fan. Yeah. Yeah. And what is so great about being a reality fan is that there are so many things that you can attend. There are so many things that you can go to, including the Bryson when, uh, 51, we are on tour. We just did New York city. We have Chicago, DC, Nashville, San Francisco.

[00:12:40] We have Atlanta with Jonathan. Jonathan is joining us in Atlanta on October 7th for a very big costume party. Costumes are mandatory with our good, good brother, Davey Armstrong. Rick and Bacher will be in the building. And if we're in Atlanta, we know Atlanta has a lot of good survivor and reality alums,

[00:13:04] and they will be in the building. We also have Chicago coming up on October 14th at bar casino, West town, me and Bryce, Chicago is one of our favorite stops. Chicago always shows out. I love going to the shy and we also are announcing a big one. We did our big one. Ladies and gentlemen, Bryson when collaborating with live nation for the survivor 51 finale, we're going to be at the

[00:13:33] Gramercy theater in December tickets ticket master right now. Wow. That is right. Ticket master. This is a huge collaboration for two black entrepreneurs and the survivor community, uh, to be working with live nation. So we are super excited and we want to just show out

[00:14:22] Okay. The launch was so successful. Jack Houston is calling us. I think we need to announce or launch a co-tour. I don't know. We can't launch it just yet, but just know Houston, not the actual city.

Uh, and so depending on how our Atlanta shop stop does, uh, you know, there might be some other things. And when he says Houston,

[00:15:13] we got our eyes on Texas, we got our eyes on Texas. We got our eyes on Nashville. We got, it's a lot of things popping. We got our eyes on Knoxville. We got our eyes on a lot of places that we might not normally stop on the tour. So it's, it's the open era. And so we're excited. I got to add to a, well, congrats on the live nation collab. That's big. And I love this,

[00:15:40] the space theme you guys got going on. That might be one of my favorite Bryson when presents themes to this date. So very excited. Well, thank you, Jack. [00:17:05] Jonathan Young's tour starting in Atlanta on October 7th with Bryce Wen and Davey. He's then going to Knoxville, Tennessee. And I was told that he's going to have a huge surprise guest in Knoxville. That will be November 4th at the Armory. Then he will go on November 18th to Nashville to Love and Exile. This is a new venue for us in Nashville. And we've been there for pregames before. We know the space.

[00:17:35] This is a great venue. And finally, the Jonathan Young tour will culminate with a finale party in Dallas, Texas, baby. Wow. Dallas, we have a problem. Okay? So, yes. There are multiple launches. And so, yeah. It's the open era. And we are open. Let's go.

[00:18:02] And we might be announcing another tour within the next couple weeks. So, you just keep on the lookout. We got the Billy Garcia tour. We are going to Kalamazoo. Don't tell him. Tuscaloosa. First of all. Schenectady. You going to put some respect on my guy, Billy Garcia.

[00:18:30] If Billy Garcia had a tour, I would be there. Okay. Wow. I am screaming. Well, listen. We're 16 minutes and 13 seconds in. I think it's time for us to get open. Yeah. I feel like we were almost stalling because I'm so nervous to get into all of the new, the open, the open era.

[00:18:57] I mean, Sharonda's just been bottom right of our screen, just mogging the whole time, serving looks down there. So, I feel like it's time we talk about the episode. Yeah. I mean, absolutely. Well, I'm excited. I'm excited about this season. This episode started. I think this got us right into survivor mode. And I think this open era is going to be something special.

I don't know. I don't know. Bryce, let's jump right in. All right. Fuck it. Let's jump right in. Okay. On our last episode, I was saying the diversity is lacking. I don't know how I feel.

[00:19:56] But let me just say this. Okay. My people of color. They are after that marooning. And oh. They didn't even have to say nothing. They didn't. And that is why we started the diversity initiative. We wanted people to just to be out there to be able to play. Not it's you against me. Not it's what.

[00:20:26] Bitch, they didn't have to say nothing. Devin looked at Sharonda. Sharonda looked at Jelly. Jelly looked at Ovi like. Jelly looked at Ovi a couple of times. Ori. Yeah. Jelly looked at Ori a couple of times. Girl, she was talking about making lasagna. Okay. Okay. From the lasagna. We looked at Aaliyah. And baby. We said. Woo. Woo. Woo. Woo. Woo. Woo. Woo. Locked in.

[00:20:57] Fast forward to the end of the episode. Well. We'll get to here. Woo. Locked out. So that for me was. Woo. Woo. Woo. It felt good to see that. It felt really good to see that. And they knew. They were like, yo. Let's do this. Let's do this. Let's get out of here. I love it. Yes. Yes. So that. That was a highlight for me. The marooning in general.

[00:21:26] I loved it. Absolutely loved it. To the point that. I almost felt like. CBS forgot. That like. Survivor 50 is over. And we need to like. Do something for the newsies. Because. When Survivor. Said the open air. I mean. These people. They just started. Throwing stuff in the ocean.

[00:21:56] Jeff rung a bell. He ain't say nothing else. They just. Went to the ocean. They got all the stuff. They on the beach. They like. I love the uncertainty. Bryce. I love that you. Hey. Let's get this stuff. And let's. Let's get out of here. I love it. I love it. I did find that funny though. Because. You can tell. A. When Jeff was walking through the whole boat. At the start. And everyone. You can tell when the camera passed people by. They were kind of like.

[00:22:25] Really just trying to listen. But then. I felt. I guess. To Wendell's point. The confusion. Kind of makes it. Fun. And I love when they all get to the beach. And they're still like. What are we supposed to do? It just felt so fresh.

[00:22:55] Compared to kind of the. Repetitiveness of the new era. That. Now. It's. It really does feel different. And I appreciated that element of it. This gave me. Classic. Ikea furniture. Have you ever put together Ikea furniture? Bitch. They got. Pictures. But no words. And no instructions. Okay. That's what the open. The open. Survivor has done a collab with Ikea. They said.

[00:23:26] Here's the beach. And here's what you need. And that's it. But yeah. I loved it as well. It was like so refreshing. Where it was just like a classic marooning. People diving off. People getting. I was also confused. As like. Why y'all. Why y'all getting on this raft? Okay. And also. You could tell the people. That could not swim. Because. Bitch. Why is you grabbing.

[00:23:55] The life vest? Okay. I don't think that that is for y'all to take. I think they had to have that. On the boat. But like. I love. Just seeing all of them. And let me just say this. My girl. Kristen. Oh baby. She's somebody to watch. My girl. Kristen. Is somebody to watch. She was on that boat. Shyvana was just. Whoosh. Whoosh. Kristen said. Hey. Did you go to elementary school? Sharonda's like.

[00:24:25] Yeah. She's like. Did they have sports? Sharonda's like. Yeah. Kristen's like. So did my school. We're locked in. Right? Like. I just. She said something like. College athlete. Or something like that. She gets. A real one could spot a real one. That's what she did. Did you go to elementary school? There were a lot. There were a lot of those moments though Bryce. Where people were like. You know. I saw the way that they rode the oar. And I was like. I know we're good.

[00:24:56] What do you mean? I was working. I know we're good. Okay. I felt like Pat. After peeing around all them people. I would have lost my pants too. Pat. Pat was like. Where are my pants at? Girl. Mine's been off. Okay. Mine's have been off. Bryce. You would have thrown the pants overboard. And intentionally left to be like.

[00:25:25] No. Ori. Where'd my pants go? I don't know where they went. Ori. Brody. Can I borrow yours? Can we share them Brody? Okay. But I love how. Eclectic. This group is. There's just. I feel like. There's like. Your classic survivor people. And then there's a lot of like. Like the outliers. And my. Intrigued. Interest.

[00:25:56] Or I'm intrigued. By a lot of the outliers. That we didn't really get to see a lot of. But. Very excited. Very like. Confused. Very like. It's very given. Hat in a box. They pull the stuff out. Saying this is what we're going to do. But yeah. I loved it. And. And yeah. And with this. This marooning. Throwing stuff off the. Off the boat. Everyone jumping in. It's giving old school marooning vibes.

[00:26:25] And. You get on the island. And we have. We got 21 castaways. And somebody has to. Get to going. I also want to say. This is the first time. In a very. Long time. Where. The survivors. Are wearing. Their press. Interview. Outfits. Normally.

[00:26:54] They're not wearing. Exactly. What they see in the press photos. They're actually. Wearing. Their press. Outfits. And again. That makes me feel like. Back in the day. When survivor. Used to act like. They was getting you from your job. And you would just go right to the island. That was also something like. Very. Interesting. To me. Yeah. And it's funny. Too. Like the. They had people in very specific colors. But the colors weren't.

[00:27:24] Ultimately like. Relevant. Right. Like you can see. Even in this photo. Behind us. Brady's wearing all blue. Sharonda's in red. You see a lot of reds and blues. And things like that. But they didn't really. Correspond. A ton. Right. So. I don't know. That was kind of an interesting. Factor. Or did they correspond? I don't know. Maybe. I feel like. They corresponded. But when they got wet. It kind of all just.

[00:27:54] Mesh. Together. I also loved. The. I'm seeing some correspondence. Jack. What's up? I'm seeing some correspondence. Like I feel like. I feel like. I'm trying to remember who was on what. Try. Not. Because. Because Jelly was with Devin. Right. But she wasn't with Ovi. But the tribes are yellow and purple. So. Right. So they're completely different. Yeah. So. I also feel like that kind of.

[00:28:23] I feel like Survivor might have been on the one with this. Where. When you do take your. Press photos. Like you will see people. Get up in their outfits. And so. Maybe. After last. Or. After season 49. You know. The. The Sage Chronicles. I think maybe. They did this to maybe eliminate a little of that. Yeah. But I loved it. But I also loved the open network.

[00:28:49] I love the fact that this was like a LinkedIn event on Fiji. Where it's like. Meet everybody. Right. Like you need to meet everyone. Because the connection that you can have right now. Just saying hello to someone. Right. Will. Potentially transcend. Just like Jelly and Ovi. Where like. And mind you also. First of all. Ori. Ori. Ori. Ori. Give me a week. Ori. But. First of all. Shout out to my girl Jelly. Because like.

Maybe you and Jelly and Ori can all figure something out. Well, we would have to. We're going to have to open it up a little bit more too. I mean, you know, lasagna. There's multiple layers. [00:33:42] But, okay. So, speaking of Louis. You know. He's a delight. Yeah. I was trying to get to his journey. Yeah. They're all on the beach and someone's got to go on a journey. And Louis sort of quickly volunteers. He's saying he's like, I just thought I'd get it started. But it's like, my God, that just means it's going to be you. Louis is me at work on teams. When somebody's like, does anybody have a free minute?

[00:34:12] You know, you want to respond so that it looks like you're the team member. I got a free minute. Yeah. That just means no one else has a free minute after that. Yeah. Maybe if, because we've seen situations where people have to volunteer as like, even Kageon, Bryce. You had to like pick a leader. You know?

[00:34:42] So, with this being kind of that one world feel, does that influence how you guys would think about like the potential of being the one to go on this little journey? Is that something you guys would ever do? Or is it kind of like, I'm not leaving the group? I ain't leaving the group. At this point, I ain't leaving the group. Right now, no. So, what, again, what I think is so interesting about the open era, right?

[00:35:10] I think when we are on the boat, I think Jeff kind of like really cracks the coconut open when he says permanently uncertain. Right? Right? Because I feel like if this was 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, they would have been jumping at the opportunity. Because in the new era, something like this means you're going to have a choice. It's a journey. You're going to get a reward. Right?

[00:35:37] And I think that they really took heed to what Jeff was saying, like permanently uncertainty. Uncertainty. And so, like, it really led, like, I don't know. And so, I kind of was shocked because a lot of these people are Survivor fans. And so, I would have thought that they would have been ravishing at the idea. But I think it's the element of you don't even know your tribes yet. And so, you don't want to, like, when you're already on your tribe, it's like, okay, here's a journey. It's an opportunity to go do something.

[00:36:06] This, it is the uncertainty of, like, I don't even know if I have a tribe that I'm going to be on yet. There's obviously, I think you've got to factor in. There's 21 people. To me, I would have been thinking. Now, I think that the move is not to volunteer here. Like, you don't want to single yourself out this early in any way. But I'm also the type where if I was in Lewis's shoes, I'd get it. Because in a lot of situations where everyone else is like, oh, I don't want to do that.

[00:36:33] Sometimes I feel like I'll be the guy to, you know, let me go explore this and see what's up. Maybe it's my own best interest. But I do think that I would be thinking, okay, there's 21 people. We don't have tribes yet. Either, I feel like now maybe this is just easier to Monday morning quarterback. Right.

[00:36:54] But I feel like either I'm going to be safe for the first tribal council and join whatever team loses, which I think you'd rather have time early on. I have those inroads. But it's like, okay, at least I'm safe. And I can join a tribe where there might already be some fractures. Or maybe I get to like, either pick my tribe. If I'm the odd man out, I can pick my tribe, assuming I'm going to the first tribal council.

[00:37:20] Or maybe I have some stake in like making the tribes, which could be an asset, I suppose. So I do think ultimately you're kind of like, I don't know if I want to separate myself from the group, but it seemed like everyone else was really being like awkward about it. And sometimes I feel like you get some good, some goodwill. If you're like, Hey, if no one wants to do this, I guess I'll step up. I also think for Lewis, now it's tough because he didn't get the idol, which I thought he'd be able to figure it out.

[00:37:48] But I think in that situation, I was thinking about, you know, if I get the idol, I do think it's a situation where I go to whatever tribe I end up on. So in this case, it's going to be the yellow tribe because they lost a member. And I think I genuinely come in. I'm like, Hey guys, I was at exile. I got an idol and I'm going to play it at the first tribal council. And I think that's something that you do follow through with because a, it keeps your name out of everybody's mouth.

[00:38:15] Like everyone's going to be thinking you got something by saying, I have an idol. You answer that question. You say, I'm going to play it at the first tribal. It's going to keep your name just off the table and the other names are going to circulate. And then I think you played at the first tribal and everyone's like, okay, he's, he's a man of his word. Like they're honest. They're pretty straightforward. I think that creates a lot of currency in the game and obviously buys you time to get your feet more planted in that tribe. So I wish Lewis had been able to, to get the idol.

[00:38:45] So now, yeah, coming in without the idol could be tricky. Cause obviously there's also that opportunity of like, people are still going to be wondering what did he, like, did he get something? So I guess we won't see this really unfold until next episode, but if you're Lewis now with no idol, how do you enter this yellow tribe and kind of get yourself firmly ingrained in the group? Well, fortunate for him, how the tribe ends up.

[00:39:14] I think he'll be welcomed with open arms, right? Like, I think like it's almost, we'll have to see how it unfolds, but I think it's a perfect storm for him seeing how he'll enter this tribe. But I, what, what I thought was the most egregious thing was the fuck you mean to tell me Lewis was out there for 30 hours.

[00:39:40] Could you imagine like you're off sent to this journey and bitch, they forgot about you. They said this season 50 over. Okay. He went into that other thing and they forgot about him and how I know they forgot about him is why the hell is Jeff Probst walking up? Okay. Like what? You don't bring Jeff out. Unless somebody is hurt.

[00:40:09] Or if it's season 39, somebody got touched. That's the only reason why you bring Jeff out. That's crazy, Bryce. Cause like, usually we get some footage of them doing whatever they're doing. Jeff's like, guys, guys, we gotta make a run real quick. I think we might have, the Irishman, we might, one boy with the accent. He was laying out. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. There's not much to do when you're out.

[00:40:39] Like, obviously I don't know what, what do you do? It's like, do you really build anything? Cause you're there for not that long. Most people will be like, Oh my God. I can't believe it's Jeff. Lewis was like, Oh, it's someone to talk to. Like he was really out there. Yeah. Maybe that's the biggest downside though. And obviously Lewis didn't necessarily know this is what he was signing up for is even if you could. Ingratiate yourself well with your new tribe.

[00:41:07] One year, you're ending up on a tribe that's already lost a challenge, which is probably somewhat of a factor in that the fact that they can. What's up? Did you lose the challenge? Well, the yellow tribe lost the challenge. But I mean, next week it's going to be 10 and 10. I know, but I think there's probably some, the loser of the first challenge typically loses probably more challenges going forward than the other group.

[00:41:34] Like statistically, you saw how Lewis was asking that ax, not my back, but that. Not that well, not well enough. No, no. Lewis is definitely going to be an asset in the challenges, but I'd still, you're okay. It's like, I'm ending up with probably the weaker tribe. And also, I think the biggest thing is, that's a great, like, he was there for 30 hours. He's there for more because he's not probably not going to show up till the next day. So call it 45 hours. That's like two days.

[00:42:02] That's a 13th of the game. And out there on the island, it's long. And I'm going to say this, then I'm going to be quiet. Okay. I like what y'all did. Y'all big one, Survivor. Hear me out and hear me clear. We don't need no pre-merge. Pre-mergatory. We don't need that BS now. We had that on the front end. And I would love that.

[00:42:31] Like, I like that. Now we don't need a mergatory. I feel like whenever we merge, we should just merge now. That's just my two cents. But yeah, I think it's worth noting that, you know, say he's gone for about two days, maybe. And when the game's 26 days, that's actually like a very impactful amount of time. So, yeah. Tough for Lewis, but I think he'll be able to figure it out. I tink. I tink.

Once you get it to a certain point, I'd either go from the other direction or I'd, like, jump on the tree and, like, use my body weight to make it crack. Because he said. Now, I know they said you can't, like, shake it. But when you get to a certain point, you can, yeah, you know.

[00:44:01] So, I think there was some, I think he had it in him. I just think. But also, yeah, when it's, you're dehydrated, your hands are all messed up. Like, because he was solid at the start. And he was almost done. Because you get it to a certain point, you obviously don't have to cut all the way through. You get it, like, 80%. You could just crack the rest, I think. But. What would you crack in? I'll put the jack in lumberjack. Can you?

[00:44:33] That wasn't meant to be, you know. I'm going to stop talking about wood. That's a good idea. That's a good idea. So, what about this challenge? A big challenge. We get to see these tribe dynamics. We get to see how people work. Two captains. Before we go to that, we do have to pick a team captain.

[00:45:02] We pick Killy Billy. And we pick Kristen. And I had a lot of hope in Kilby. Kelby. Kilby. Kilby. But baby. It's the open air. And Kristen got the britches moist. Okay. She said, Kelby don't, Kilby don't stand a trance. And even how she was talking to him.

[00:45:31] Like, the lawyer came out. She was like, well. Hey, how are you? I guess we're here to decide which one of these things we're going to get. Right? And Kilby was like, whoa. Yeah. And Kristen was like, it's not like I want the flint. So, which one do you want? And Kilby's like, well, actually, I like the shelter. Okay. Like, like the way she handled that was very impressive to me.

[00:46:01] Like, because she was in control of that conversation. And it wasn't in an aggressive manner. Right? It was like very calm. She gave him options. But like, she was very clear in how she wanted to maneuver. And baby, Kristen, come over here and get a plate. I'll let's hire you, girl. But tell me why. So, I think Kristen did a solid job.

[00:46:33] But I think Kilby maybe even did a better job. You know? Like, now his thumb wrestling skills might not have been up to snuff. But it's okay. Right. There were four batches of items. You have, like, the pot flint machete, the shelter building, the, like, the building materials, like the shelter stuff itself. And then the fishing gear. They end up each getting two and two.

[00:46:58] Which Kilby almost got three through a potential, you know, thumb wrestle negotiation. And then if I'm him, I think the best things to get are the building materials and the shelter supplies. Because, A, I'm going to assume one of these people on my tribe probably knows how to make fire without flints. And we also see, I think, after their tribal, they got flint. And they got, like, a machete.

[00:47:24] So, it seems now that you get those things anyways after one tribal. And the fishing gear, evidently, you know, we see Eric come back with a little guppy. That's not doing that much. And then if you have no, like, obviously fire is valuable. But if you have no shelter, like, the shelter seems like more of an immediate asset in getting everyone a good night's rest. And, I mean, I suppose they did lose the first challenge.

[00:47:53] But to me, I think, like, night one, I'd rather have those guaranteed materials and then hope that someone on my tribe can make fire. And even if they don't, it looks like we're getting flint after we go to one tribal now. So, now the yellow tribe, Kilby's tribe, is set up. They're going to have flint. And I think Jeff maybe even mentioned some other stuff from losing or from going to tribal. And they've got a better shelter. So, what? Like, Kristen got the fishing gear.

[00:48:23] And, like, that has done nothing for them so far. So, and I liked Kilby's. Like, Kristen seemed like she came in ready to really negotiate, which she did. And she executed that well. And she wasn't over-eager about it. But it seemed like maybe if someone pushed back that she would have. Whereas Kilby kind of came with, like, hey, I want to work with you in this game. Like, let's work together and figure this out. And I think he got a pretty good end of the deal. So, you know, to me, it was props to Kilby. Shelter equipment is really good.

[00:48:52] Especially, like, if Flint is, you're going to get Flint eventually. But having some shelter equipment is, like you said, it's like you could put a tarp over your heads or whatever now. And we see, I think, in the next episode, it looks like they have a challenge in the rain or something like that. So, I think shelter equipment is pretty important. Yeah. And plus, like, the fire, I mean, as far as warmth goes, obviously huge. But you can drink the water without boiling it.

[00:49:21] So I've heard. So, it's like, what is Kristen's crew really getting? You know, I mean, the fire at night is clutch. But, again, I would be like, okay, I'm on a tribe of, you know, nine other people now. Someone probably knows how to make a fire without Flint. We see it almost every season. So, you know, I think Kilby did a good job. I think they both did a good job. But Kilby, I almost feel like got, like, clowned on a little bit. But at the end of the day, I was like, I thought he got the better out of the deal.

[00:49:50] Okay. So, you know. Yeah. So, what was, I remember them getting to the Thummy War. What was that part for? I think the fishing gear. And, again, yeah, Kilby, you know, presumably each of these bundles is sort of considered to be equal. There's four that the producers probably think there's going to be two and two. And so, Kilby kind of defers to Kristen.

[00:50:18] You know, if you want the pot and the machete, whatever, I'll take the other two. And now we're sort of flipping for the last thing. So, there's a world where Kilby walks away with three of those things. And Kristen only gets one. Like, to me, that's better. That's better. And he was just, like, a good sport about it. They both were. That's what was more impressive. Right. Like, it's like they walked away with some type of, like, commonality. But, again, if I'm out there, I'm going. We fighting for the Flint. Because I think Flint is more important.

[00:50:46] Because we've seen, although this is the open era, we've seen in the new era, they don't even really use the shelter. They were sleeping on a boat. They were sleeping on the beach. Right. Like, so. That was just my take. But, like, I just loved that. And I love these opportunities that it's so chaotic, so much going on. And there's so many opportunities for people to engage with each other, which leads me to believe that, like, we're definitely going to have tribe spots.

[00:51:16] Right. Where I just feel like there's so much cross-pollination that has happened. It's almost inevitable. And that makes me excited. Yeah. It's setting up for that. I will say the last thing about that negotiation, what I would amend about it from, like, a producer's standpoint is you have four items. I thought it was three. But you sure it's four? I think so. Unless. He picked one. She picked one. And then they, like, kind of figured out the third item.

[00:51:45] I mean, I thought. I don't remember. Yeah, maybe. I don't know if it was building supplies and, like, shelter materials were separate or maybe that was one bundle. But if it was. So, yeah. I guess what I was going to say is I think it's better to have an odd number of things. I thought it was four. Because, obviously, I think most of the time people are just going, right, you get two. I get two. I'd rather see them negotiate over it. But maybe it was three things and that's why they decided to do the thumb war.

And Eric's standing out and Rob is standing out.

And what I was surprised about from Rob was, I mean, after he took their shirt off.

I'm curious what the mechanic is going to be like. You would have to think to make sure it gets flipped.

You know what I mean? Like it was lucky last season that Devin's. I mean, I guess last season they had the mechanism of like, if no one wants to, then you'll like, we'll, we'll draw or whatever. But I feel like that's not a great mechanic. Cause that's just so random that you would want it to be someone like, I'm taking the initiative. I'm going to flip it and try to win my safety.

[01:08:45] So I hope that I wouldn't be mad if at the merge or like, this is on the table now. And anytime someone wants to grab it, go for it. And I also like that. It, if it misses, it rolls over the next season. Cause we might get to a point where the prize money is like 4 million. You know what I mean? Which would be insane. So. Right. And I love the mechanic of it. Cause we don't know yet, but like, again, if I'm on the chopping block,

And now I think when we got the option of it, everybody can commit to, uh, not doing fire, we'll do a vote. I gotta say though, like to me, a Jeff was a little on his high horse with that of first and foremost, like you, you're like, we'll get rid of fire, but it has to be unanimous. So I'm like, it could just be a majority vote because if you know, you know,

[01:10:33] it's not going to be gone if it has to be unanimous. Yeah. And so the, the smart thing to do is kind of just vote whatever the majority votes, you know what I mean? Like, I wouldn't want to be outspoken about the fire because of that re like for that reason, because someone like Brady's gonna be like, no, we're doing fire. It doesn't matter. Like that it's, it's never going to change. If it has to be unanimous, it should be majority. And then Jeff's like, Oh, do you want it? It's to me not to be critical, but it sort of.

[01:11:03] Show. And again, I'm optimistic about the season, but this kind of encompass a lot of the issues. I think the audience have with the way that Jeff views the game of Jeff. It was then like, Oh, do you guys want to get rid of idols? You want to get rid of advantages? X, Y, Z. Not that many people raised their hand. Again, partly because you're in front of Jeff who, you know, likes those things. So you're not going to be honest. But then Jeff is like, see if, if you guys could just tell the viewers at home that you love all these twists and stuff,

[01:11:33] but it's like, Jeff, no one's like, there should be no. Very few people are like, there should be no idols. It's more about like the implementation of things. So when you propose it to these people who like, again, know that you like these twists and it's like day two, and they're not going to be honest. If you just propose it, it's like, should we get rid of advantages altogether? Like not many people, obviously not many people are gonna be like, yeah, yeah, Jeff, those are all terrible. You know, if, if, if there was more nuance to the conversation of like,

[01:12:02] should we maybe dial back the advantages? I think a lot of people would be like, yeah, like go back to like, you know, the, the, the 20, the era of the twenties and the thirties where they weren't as rampant. So I, you know, I love Jeff to death, but it's, it's one of those things where it's just sort of like an argumentative fallacy where you propose this thing of like, so because you guys don't want to get rid of idols altogether, we must be doing everything right. It's like, no, you're not,

[01:12:29] you're not completely getting rid of any gray area with the conversation. So it's, I don't know. Like, I, I think a lot of fans share the sentiment of like multiple times he's been cited basically being like, if you're a fan and you give us feedback, just know that we're not listening to you. It's like, why, like, why not? Like the traders, you know, I'm a little biased, but the traders has made a lot of like changes to the game dynamics that are in

[01:12:53] line with like what viewers have spoken out about being in favor of. Like if your audience in general, like something, there's no shame in obliging that. Like episode one, for example, the traders announced before the episode that there would be less emphasis on the challenge and more emphasis on the round tables and the breakfast, like breakfast and stuff. And that's what a lot of the fans have wanted. They're like, the challenges aren't as fun. We want to see more conversation. And so the traders literally implemented that.

[01:13:23] I'm like, Hey, we're doing this. Like survivor can do the same thing. And I'm, again, I'm optimistic about this season. I think it's off to a good start, but it was a annoying to be like, we'll change it if you guys want, but it has to be unanimous. Nothing's ever unanimous. Like, unless you're on a jury, I guess not a jury, jury on survivor, but like an actual jury. And then, yeah, to, to, to then use people not speaking up about, and it wasn't even an open dialogue. It was like, put your hand up. If you hate idols,

[01:13:53] it's like, no one's going to do that. No one's going to do that. So I don't know. That was ridiculous. Like, I, I honestly thought like, I don't know what Jeff is trying to prove with that. Cause it's clearly not like a, a, any way to go about a deliberation or a debate over anything. So, you know, it's like, and he, I feel like he was spoken about this in the, with past things about, you know, for example, the removal of like taking guys out of the come on in guys. He said himself, he's like,

[01:14:23] I made it a moment about me when it didn't have to be a moment at all. And to me, this sort of feels like you're bringing this all up to like, give yourselves a pat on the back about things that people are unhappy with, but that's not going to change the fan sentiment. Like viewers at home are going to be like, fuck it. I guess they like it. So I guess I'm wrong. You know what I mean? So anyways, that's kind of a rant about that, which I don't know. I'm glad to hear that. Cause I, I wanted to know.

[01:14:53] Cause I also felt like it kind of was like rush. Right. And then like, was that the official vote? Like, yeah. No one got to talk to, it didn't seem like anyone got to talk to each other. Yeah. But it's like, unanimous is crazy. Like all 20 of them have to agree. Also poor Lewis, you know, doesn't even. I actually, Lewis is like, I actually like when they voted that the four. He's out there sitting by himself.

[01:15:24] So I agree. I didn't think about that, but the fact that Lewis had absolutely no say in any of this is hilarious. And they say unanimous. Right. And everyone would have voted. And then at the end, when we would have still had fire, make it, Jeff would have been like, well, Lewis wasn't there. Well, Jeff was like, well, who is his, he's Irish. So he doesn't get to vote. But this challenge,

[01:15:51] I thought this was a relatively new challenge, kind of like the same things that we have seen, but a relatively new challenge that I, enjoy. What do y'all think? Yeah, it was fun. It was, I liked the component of like stacking things up and, and then at the end,

[01:16:19] pushing the bag off the top, which like proved to be a challenge. I don't like mechanically. I was kind of like, I thought Linnea was doing a pretty good job. And I, so I was surprised it wasn't budging, but then Pat came in and slayed it. And then Linnea literally put her head into the tube, which I was like, all right, good, you know, good move to make it happen. And then you see people like it's gritty and they're pushing the boxes through the maze. I was worried for Brady for a second. Cause it looked like a box, like fell on his Achilles,

[01:16:48] which easily could have hit, you know, you make, you get you cooked. And then obviously he's just pushing it through by himself. It's like, okay, seems like he's all right. And then the puzzle at the end, I thought it was fun, but I don't know. What'd you guys think? I liked how they all kind of bottlenecked at the beginning and they're pushing each other and trying to get through things. I did like that a lot. I love these big, huge early team challenges that require a lot of effort. It requires everybody.

[01:17:16] You get bruised up like crazy at these, the things that they have are extremely heavy and should require multiple people to move things, except if you're, you know, a freak of nature, like, like Brady. And I think that again, in the, in this kind of a challenge, you see, you see people and you see how they move in groups and stuff. And one thing, one thing that stood out to me that it was so small, but it really stood out to me.

[01:17:46] We do see how Brady encourages folks. Like Brady's like, like very encouraging in his own way. Um, and there was a point when I think, uh, like, um, Aaliyah was untying and dropping balls. And he said something like, and she lost the ball. And I think Devin was like holding someone up at that time. And he looked at him, Devin, Devin said this, he looked at him and he said,

[01:18:15] speak life brother. And it's like, and I was like, I had to rewind that. I'm like at that moment, like, yeah, you could be, you know, knocking someone or you could find a way to encourage someone. And I liked that, that Devin stepped up and said that to his man right then and there, yo, speak life brother. And it's three words, but I'm like, man, like I want to use that quote, you know? So that was one thing that like really stood out to me. Obviously. Um, like, yeah,

[01:18:45] yeah. That was one thing that I really liked. Yeah. And speaking of Devin, go ahead, Bryce. The lasagna done. I'm working on my pot of goulash and baby. Devin, Devin, Devin, Devin. And I, I feel like Bryce Isaiah crawled. So that a Tevin.

[01:19:14] could run. So that a Devin. Could fly. Cause let's just be clear. Devin is an ancestor of Bryce Isaiah. When he and Brody got together and Brady and Devin said, Oh, I like them strong and dumb. I said, Hey, my God today. Come get your lasagna. Right? Like I. Love. I like, my,

[01:19:43] the critique that I have of Devin thus far in the season is baby. Stop showing us. You are so great. King. You are like, I mean, I see Caleb all over. And it's like, the thing with Devin is, is that some people just have, right? Like they just have it. And Devin has it.

[01:20:11] He understands that it's a social game and that we need to be social, but like, you know, and Eric understands that this is a social game too, but how Eric goes about his social skills are a little, Gina, little different. I still like it. Eric will have me, but the way Devin goes about it, the way that he has jelly and Aaliyah,

[01:20:35] the way that he understands that Jenna might not be a wedding photographer and the way that he'll disseminate it, the way that he got Brody locked in the way that he's a pillar. And I even think Pat is clocking it like, or no, not Pat. What's, what's the med student name? My girl. TN on. I think it's TN, TN and TN on TN, TNN or something.

[01:21:05] My girl, TN. she's clocking it. but like Devin is absolutely fantastic. Some people are so magnetic or so I use that word too much. Some people are shy areas. What's that? Like gregarious. Yes. Yeah. That like, they can't even diminish it. And this might be, this might be his problem.

[01:21:35] Like Caleb, we saw Caleb. It was just too much. Like, yo, they have to get you off that Island when they could get you off that Island. And Devin's case, like, bro, you are shining so bright. My goodness. Like tone it down. You are too, too good. Too early right now. And he's connected on the other side. He's connected here. And so it is, uh, it's, it's, it's Devin for me. And so we see that they lose.

[01:22:06] And it's very interesting to me because I'm like, okay, now I watched it a couple of times and I didn't really see, uh, like I had to rewind to see a Leah kind of fumbling. But the thing that I liked the most was when we got back, Brady immediately, even though Brady wasn't on the chopping block, Brady immediately kind of like, I think on survivor, we've been used to people cut from a certain claw. And I like, and this really my perspective,

[01:22:36] right? Like, I think Brady understands that because I think Brady came back and was like, Hey y'all, I just want y'all to know. This is, this is me. And sometimes that's important to know. Cause I think sometimes people get defensive and they don't like without giving an explanation. Now Brody, let us know. He's like, this is me. Okay. We can choose to like it. We can choose not to like it,

[01:23:06] but you have given us an explanation. And so like, I appreciated that because that is interesting for me to store. Now, I don't want to go where I need to go. And y'all can tell me, don't go there, but tell me if I should go. Like, so now listen, I love Jelly and I love Aaliyah. And so my, and,

[01:23:32] and I almost feel like because there was this coalition that normally we do not see this early. I almost feel Jelly and Aaliyah got a tad bit too comfortable for the right reason. So we get back. Everybody already don't think Jenna take photos. Okay. So Jenna name is already. And that's another thing. And I don't want to talk too much cause I'm trying not to talk too much,

[01:23:59] but like the new era has fucked us up so much. Y'all MF us be lying that this girl is a wedding photographer. Okay. And y'all don't even believe her. That's one. So I'm gonna cut y'all out later about that, but we already got Jenna name floating around. And we see the girls, Pat, Jenna, Aaliyah, and Jelly meet up to talk.

[01:24:29] And we see Jelly with a confessional. Like, yes, Jenna's name is floating around, but I don't want a girl to go home. And I'm with your sister. Okay. Cause too far often it's either a gay or a lady. Okay. That go home first. And so I like this, but I also feel like. If it don't fit. You gotta quit. Listen,

[01:25:00] if the target ain't your alliance, it ain't you. Everyone seems to be on the same page. Mama, let the lasagna cook. And so when Jelly and Aaliyah are talking to the women, they say Jenna's name or maybe Jenna. There's another woman. Who's another woman? It's not. Tiana. And so.

[01:25:29] They let them know they're like, but. I mean, Brody was a bit assertive. Right. And they like, well, yeah. And then that was another thing. Now I love Jelly and Aaliyah, but y'all also, well, it's almost like a tag team a little bit. We're like Aaliyah said it or Jelly sell it. Then Aaliyah jumped on it. And they was like, oh, and then we see the second that they leave. The other ladies are like, well.

[01:26:01] They would have to maybe notice like, well, they seem to be on one accord. And you know, when survivor is a numbers game. And so like, well, if they're on one accord, then maybe let us get on one accord. And so I feel like they almost set themselves up. It didn't have to be my girl Aaliyah. Now, also my girl, I think it was, is it Pat that went to Jenna to tell Jenna, Hey baby girl, there's a lot going on.

[01:26:31] And they don't think, they don't think you really a wedding photographer. Also shout out to Jenna, because what I always say on survivor, when people are on the outs, instead of keeping them on the outs, bitch, bring them in. And so her kind of like seeing maybe jelly and Aaliyah are linked up. Let me extend the olive branch to old Jenna. So I clock Pat. I said, okay, Pat's not playing. Now,

[01:27:00] let me just talk about my girl, Jenna real quick. I didn't know what to make of Jenna. Jenna had a lot going on. She, she, she didn't really disclose what was happening. But when she did disclose what was happening and she said, Hey, I recently got divorced. I haven't been single since I've been 18. It's a lot, baby. First of all, I'm getting ready to cry. Immediately. I connect with her. And then she like, y'all bitches is playing on my name. I shoot in 4k. I shoot in 5k. I shoot in wide lens. I shoot. I said, you better run that off.

[01:27:28] But the thing that impressed me the most about Jenna was after she gave us the situation. Sometimes you got to release it. And she said, Oh, my name's on the block. Let me introduce you to single Jenna because single Jenna said, bitch, it won't be me. And she clocked in. And the way that she clocked in, she could potentially win. I know that. I just,

[01:27:58] but so much happened there. So, so much. But sometimes I also feel like a survivor. You need to hear that your name is floating around. Too many times people get comfortable well into the game that they hear their name is floating around and they don't even know what to do about it. I like a queen that can fight from the beginning. Jenna said, I was acting a little weird and awkward. She said, click, click clocked in.

[01:28:30] That's, that's how you play survivor. Y'all don't be quiet now. Cause listen, I could continue to go on. I was, I'm still worried for Jenna. Like she doesn't, obviously sometimes it takes time to warm up and she's dealing with a lot of stuff. And like, maybe that'll, you know, gradually come out. And that's not something you could necessarily want to share with the whole circle of people right away. But she is given a, a, a closed offness to people.

[01:29:00] Like, you know, there's, you know, there's something wrong. You know, you're given not the best energy when people think you're lying about the job that actually is your job. You know what I mean? So, um, and not to say that's Jenna's fault, but like the perception is the reality. I was surprised she made it through this, but like you said, Bryce, maybe now that she's kind of been battle tested a little bit, she could lock in. And really, I think a lot of the credit here goes to Pat.

[01:29:28] And I felt like she was maneuvering really well here. Uh, you know, it's a bigger tribe. So I'm sure there's a lot going on behind the scenes, but we see Pat do a lot of that kind of, kind of the spearheading of maybe keeping Jenna. And, you know, if they're on the same side, Pat could be a really valuable ally. And then you also have these bigger personalities like a Devin, like a Brady who maybe aren't going to be the first one voted out. Cause their assets in the challenge, but they're going to continue to maybe rub people a certain way.

[01:29:57] And I can see it's a big tribe. I can see Jenna sneaking by, but she does have to integrate a little bit better here. Is I mean, it's not, it's not great seeing your name written down. So like that could be, and you got Devin who was going hard against her in tribal council. And Devin is in with Brady. So it seems I question. It's so early, but I'm also questioning that.

[01:30:27] Cause Devin's like, yeah, we can, you know, vote differently, but I know tomorrow we're going to be good. And then they cut to Brady. And I don't know how locked in Brady is with that, with this guy pushing so hard back on him. Devin's cool with it. Yeah. Best man winning tomorrow. We're going to be good. I don't know how cool Brady is with that, but hypothetically if Brady is cool with that, then maybe a next person might be a Jenna. That might happen. Or Devin, you went too hard. And now,

[01:30:58] now there is a real rift. I don't know. I just know what he was saying. And like, yeah, he could want that. Hey man, we're working together, but like, yo, we're not together on this bubble. We'll be together. I don't know how Brady's receiving that. I truly don't. I don't know if he gives them a pass for being so, um, for having such a hard line stance this whole afternoon through travel. Yes. Such a good point. Right. Where it's like now,

[01:31:27] because this conversation that jelly and, um, and Aaliyah had right now, other things are circulating and it puts Devin in this position where Devin is like, I'm trying to have my cake and eat it too. And yeah, like, and I think even like Christian brings it up that like Christian clocks that like, well, Christians are the other tribe. I think. Sorry. Kill me. Maybe kill, kill me clocks at like, well, Brady wants this.

[01:31:56] Devin's wants this. And now it's like, now you have Devin fighting. And like, again, I get it. But I also feel like Mitch is the first day of school. Yeah. No, Devin went way too hard, way too hard. And like Bryce, like you said, if we're now seeing something with Aaliyah, something with jelly. Now you have Devin. Willing to take the hardest,

[01:32:25] like he's not being, he is not budging and he's being very loud in front of everyone with not loud. It's very vocal in front of everyone with the fact that he's not budging. All right. It doesn't take much to clock what's going on there. And the people that aren't in the cookout per se might, might receive that the wrong way and say, you know what? We don't, we don't bust this thing up. But yeah. And no, that's a great point.

[01:32:54] And then I think even to like, as presented, it almost seems like more of Devin's vocalness was because of his mistrust in Jenna, not necessarily his allegiance to an Aaliyah, but still it's like Devin is like, we kind of a Caleb vibe where you are charismatic. He's coming out, playing hard, immediately making bonds with people playing strategically, which is already a target. But then to have all those assets about you and then also be the type at a tribal to be like, I'm voting this person.

[01:33:24] That's the way I'm doing things. I'm like, he's kind of trying to play like a triple threat, great player. But then at this tribal, he's coming in and he's just blowing his own, his own spot up. So to me, it puts Devin in a, in a lot of danger. The thing that I will say to that is so sad Aaliyah went home, but thank God she did. Because imagine if Jenna went home,

[01:33:51] then Devin putting up this front and having the backup to prove it, it almost would put him in an even more dangerous position. And so I almost look at Devin, like how I'm looking at Jenna, where it's like, okay, it's time for Jenna to clock in, but now it's time for Devin to clock it where it's like, but it didn't work. It didn't work. Right. And you're still on the island. This is a wake up call.

[01:34:21] Okay. And I love it so much because it's like, there's only the first episode, y'all like, and it's like, and I love it. And so I don't want it to be misconstrued as to what we're saying. It's like, no, I understand what you're fighting for. And I love it. And it's only the first episode. My golly today, what, what's going to happen? Four episodes in. Yeah. So I, I'm excited to see where this goes, but I also, y'all, we got, we, we got to take it here for a second, baby.

[01:34:51] So Ms. Jenna clocked in. Jenna went to Brady and said, Brady, ain't none of my business, but let me tell you this. They saying you, you over here being aggressive. They say you over here being loud. Like, and Brady's like, that's not me. Oh my God. Why would they say that? Baby. Brady went around there. Jack,

And then I think we got the greatest line from Brody himself. Brody said, this is just me. And so I just want to prepare. Yeah. Real quick. Okay. Because Brody said they might not like it. Sorry, y'all. Hold on.

[01:35:49] Brody said they might not like it, but it's me. Brody said, and I quote, if my mom came to football practice, I lay her ass out too. Brody. He's not flying. Seven, three, seven, three, one, two, three. Brody. He's not laying you out.

[01:36:19] I'm at football practice. Brody, it's me, your mom. Brody. Seven, three, high. Oh, good. Well, I thought this fool was going to bring out a football helmet. Bryce, Bryce might, Bryce might be injured right now. Bryce might've injured himself right now. But, but Jenna did, you know,

[01:36:49] Brady was the right person to go to as a Jenna where usually it's like, okay, the person on the bottom is telling me people are like talking a little shit, like take it with a grain of salt with Brady. It's like, you tell him he's like, he's off to the races. And even Kilby was like, Kilby did a good job of, of man. I thought he was going to be a little more like neurotic and panicky, but he was pretty cool. Common collected kind of, um,

[01:37:16] working between we're kind of brokering the Brady and David conversation. Be like, Brady, how much does this specific one mean to you? And Brady's like, it's everything, bro. Do you sound like Jake Paul out here? But, um, what's so crazy about that is him saying is everything. Keep in mind. It's 42 hours. Yes. And Lewis.

[01:37:44] He had to even enter the game. Yeah. Exactly. It's like, okay, next vote. People are gonna be like Brady. Like, what's this vote? He's like, this is even everything. It's like, he's going to be like, Brady, we need a new, like scale to define how, how set you are. But again, if I'm Devin and I'm seeing how he reacts, this is,

[01:38:14] uh, you know, like again, like I feel like in, this is the open era, not the new era, but the tribe that gets decimated the most. Sometimes, yeah, they get picked off, but the people that are left are the most qualified moving forward. And so it's like, this is such an eye opening learning lesson for this tribe. If they could take it all in.

[01:38:44] Cause they've learned a lot. And also for individuals on the tribe. Like I go back to Devin with this one. Like if you, if you like take one on the chin and are still in the game the next day or whatever, like, like I remember when on ghost Island, they had a chance to get either me, Dom or Morgan out. And they picked off Morgan. And then me and Dom were at the end of the game together.

[01:39:12] We learned so much on like the third vote out. That's like, yo, it's good. When something doesn't go necessarily go your way early on, man. That's a, that's like survivor school real quick. Yeah. And you're still in the game the next day. So like Devin, look, all right, you took that hard line stance. It ain't work. Let's, let's adjust this thing. Let's, let's figure this thing out now. No, I agree. I definitely can go one of two ways from here for Devin.

[01:39:42] And I hope he takes it as a learning experience to be like, all right, he's obviously a charismatic guy. Let me just dial it back a little bit. Not go too crazy. People are going to like him and he'll be all right. And he's an asset in the challenge. You can just kind of be chill, but it's a good point. One of like to have something not go your way and still be in the game, even from like a behavioral analysis standpoint, it's like, all right, now I know what people kind of are like when they're telling me they're going to vote away and they don't do that. You know?

[01:40:11] Whereas if your first experience with that is you getting blindsided, obviously you're out. So it, so it doesn't, and it's like, you know, maybe everyone's been shooting straight with you to that point. And then you don't sense the change, but to know like, Hey, this person was lying to me. This is kind of how they're acting when they're lying. And when they're telling the truth, that can be a valuable barometer going forward. So it's a good point. And they get Lewis, right? Like they, like they lose. Yeah. It's like,

[01:40:40] it's almost like this was episode zero. Yeah. And I think Lewis will slot into this tribe. I mean, this tribe is kind of a mess. And so Lewis, who's like a pretty laid back, chill, fun guy. I think he'll be able to come in and like be good. Yeah. So sad to see my girl, Aaliyah go, uh, feel like she was good. She had like, so, oh, it was just super sad to see her go, but,

[01:41:10] huh. It's the open era. Yeah. And that was a great episode, man. Oh man. Cast is great. Um, yeah, this, this, this open area, open era concept is really cool.
