[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_04]: So listen, let's get in to this week's Survivor News.

[00:02:05] [SPEAKER_04]: This week with your Survivor News covering Survivor Season 40.

[00:02:10] [SPEAKER_04]: Several episode two, I'm joined by the man, the myth,

[00:02:15] [SPEAKER_04]: the ghost island legend, Mr. Wendell Holland.

[00:02:18] [SPEAKER_04]: How are you? How we doing, sir?

[00:02:20] [SPEAKER_04]: Good to see you, Perp.

[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_04]: Good to see you, Jack.

[00:02:23] [SPEAKER_04]: Good to see y'all.

[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_04]: And we are joined by the non gambler that gambles

[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_04]: that statistics that doesn't really matter.

[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_04]: A thousand and seven hours logs.

[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_04]: And this is a jackery poker act.

[00:02:38] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes.

[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_01]: What's up?

[00:02:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Good to be here.

[00:02:41] [SPEAKER_01]: We're getting an early start.

[00:02:42] [SPEAKER_01]: You know how to late night gambling, so it's not I'm playing,

[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_01]: but excited to talk about this episode, you know?

[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes. Really good episode.

[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_04]: We just were in Dallas for the BWP Tour 47.

[00:02:56] [SPEAKER_04]: Dallas was amazing.

[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_04]: We enjoyed seeing some big brother people from the Kermit cast.

[00:03:02] [SPEAKER_04]: The circle showed up real heavy, Jack.

[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_04]: They were asking for you.

[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_04]: We had some challenged people, some survivor legends.

[00:03:09] [SPEAKER_04]: It was really, really great.

[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_04]: But the tour can continue.

[00:03:12] [SPEAKER_04]: We'll be headed to LA October 9th.

[00:03:15] [SPEAKER_04]: And we've got several friends joining us.

[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_04]: After that, we're headed to Nashville.

[00:03:20] [SPEAKER_04]: Wendell, did you text me a say we might have a special,

[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_07]: special guest for Nashville?

[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_07]: We're still trying to work on this special, special guest.

[00:03:28] [SPEAKER_07]: But man, oh man, this player is as legendary as it gets.

[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_07]: That's all I'm saying.

[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_07]: So we're hoping we're hoping for the best with that with that player.

[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, well, we will see.

[00:03:38] [SPEAKER_04]: But the tour continues.

[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_04]: We still have Washington, D.C., Chicago, Philadelphia, New York,

[00:03:45] [SPEAKER_04]: New York, Boston, New Orleans, New Orleans.

[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. So, you know, join in on the fun of the BWP Tour 47.

[00:03:54] [SPEAKER_04]: The campaign tickets are available.

[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_04]: Link in the Bryce and Wynn present Instagram and Twitter bio.

[00:04:00] [SPEAKER_04]: And we will see you on the campaign trials, Jack,

[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_04]: before we get into this episode.

[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_01]: I just realized I might be able to come to Chicago.

[00:04:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh.

[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh.

[00:04:10] [SPEAKER_01]: I think we know that's Thanksgiving.

[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, that's November 20th.

[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_01]: That's right around the night before Thanksgiving or a week?

[00:04:17] [SPEAKER_01]: No, that's a week before a week and a day.

[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_04]: Is there anything you like to address, Jackery?

[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_04]: I think that last week we had an interesting topic.

[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_04]: You had some things to address, Jack, and I think the posse was split.

[00:04:32] [SPEAKER_04]: So anything you like to care to add to this gambling conversation?

[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_01]: The floor is yours.

[00:04:37] [SPEAKER_01]: OK. Guys, thanks for hopping into the call.

[00:04:39] [SPEAKER_01]: It's pretty important.

[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_01]: I was surprised how many of them happened to be about my gambling shenanigans.

[00:04:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe maybe we got lost in the semantics of it a little bit.

[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_01]: OK, yes, poker is gambling.

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_01]: And when you play poker like I do a lot, I guess I admit that is gambling.

[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_01]: But I guess maybe the point that I was arguing and maybe we got lost in the

[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_01]: weeds was that, you know, Bryce, I think, said that I love to gamble.

[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Jack, you are.

[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_01]: That's not a knock and that's not something that I think

[00:05:12] [SPEAKER_01]: that's a reasonable association is like, oh, you love to play poker

[00:05:15] [SPEAKER_01]: like you love to gamble, like you're a gambling man.

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_01]: And I just wanted to say that despite my love of poker, I would say that

[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_01]: like my least favorite part of poker is probably the element of the gamble

[00:05:26] [SPEAKER_01]: and like the uncertainty and the risk.

[00:05:28] [SPEAKER_01]: I love poker for, you know, the strategy and like the mental game.

[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, I do well in poker because

[00:05:35] [SPEAKER_01]: when you're like poker as opposed to other games,

[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_01]: you have some more control because it's like, you know,

[00:05:41] [SPEAKER_01]: you can make decisions rather than simply it's not just a game of fully

[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_01]: a game of chance.

[00:05:46] [SPEAKER_01]: And so I love poker and I don't necessarily like the gambling element

[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_01]: of it because then that's why I don't I don't play games like Blackjack

[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_01]: or Roulette, because that's like all chance and gambling.

[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_01]: So yes, I guess I'm gambling a lot and I love poker.

[00:06:01] [SPEAKER_01]: So in a way I like gambling, but the gambling element of it

[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_01]: is not the part that I enjoy, I would say.

[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_01]: So you only like the winning part of.

[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I like I like the strategy of it.

[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_01]: It's like, OK, imagine you're playing sports and, you know,

[00:06:18] [SPEAKER_01]: maybe you're a better player, so you're going to win the game more often.

[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_01]: But then, you know, they just end up it's not entirely in your control.

[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Like random things happen.

[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that kind of is how sports work.

[00:06:29] [SPEAKER_01]: It's like, you know, maybe if you're a great athlete, you might be like,

[00:06:33] [SPEAKER_01]: oh, I don't like the random elements of sports.

[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_01]: I wish if I would outperform my opponent that I would I would win more often.

[00:06:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, but I think someone it was funny to see people split.

[00:06:42] [SPEAKER_01]: I think if you really are a poker player, then you know what I mean.

[00:06:45] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if the comments will split, Jack.

[00:06:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Jack, Jack was off to a tough start this season.

[00:06:51] [SPEAKER_01]: The comments were were rebuilding.

[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_04]: No, there were people in there.

[00:06:56] [SPEAKER_04]: There are multiple people saying like they understood what you were saying.

[00:06:59] [SPEAKER_04]: However, there were some people in their life.

[00:07:02] [SPEAKER_04]: Jack is literally saying every point that every gambler says

[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_04]: not to make them a gambler.

[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_01]: But no, clearly, Jack, I think.

[00:07:10] [SPEAKER_01]: I think and that's the thing is like so many people,

[00:07:13] [SPEAKER_01]: some people that gamble justify their habits with being like, oh, this, that.

[00:07:19] [SPEAKER_01]: But like I said, I keep track of everything that I do

[00:07:22] [SPEAKER_01]: and I make decent money off it.

[00:07:24] [SPEAKER_01]: And I've had times where I have bad stretches

[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_01]: and I'm able usually to evaluate myself and be like, OK, this

[00:07:31] [SPEAKER_01]: maybe this game that I'm playing in is not for me.

[00:07:33] [SPEAKER_01]: And I have to go find a more profitable game,

[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_01]: like as far as different poker games go.

[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_01]: So I would say I'm pretty responsible and honest with it,

[00:07:44] [SPEAKER_01]: whereas a lot of gamblers will have bigger fish to fry.

[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_04]: OK, glad we were able to settle that debate.

[00:07:50] [SPEAKER_01]: What I will say is, you know,

[00:07:54] [SPEAKER_01]: I could admit you kind of want that debate.

[00:07:57] [SPEAKER_01]: And I also want to give you props because last last episode

[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_01]: you really came in firing with some of the takes.

[00:08:03] [SPEAKER_01]: And all I got to say is Brice Isaiah might be at a peak.

[00:08:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, the bait survivor.

[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, for this season.

[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm very excited to see where it takes us this episode.

[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm really excited to see where things could go,

[00:08:17] [SPEAKER_01]: maybe on a on a season 50.

[00:08:19] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.

[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_04]: I can tell you where it would go.

[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_04]: We'll be watching it together

[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_04]: because I think that they will cast some amazing people

[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_04]: and we will be excited to cover the season.

[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_04]: But, you know, I was excited.

[00:08:33] [SPEAKER_04]: I was listening back and I was like, oh, my God,

[00:08:35] [SPEAKER_04]: Wendell and Jack are both agreeing with my survivor takes.

[00:08:38] [SPEAKER_04]: This is unprecedented.

[00:08:40] [SPEAKER_04]: I am excited for this week's episode, though,

[00:08:42] [SPEAKER_04]: because there were some hot takes that I don't know.

[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_04]: Like I just so I'll let you do a check.

[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_04]: But I got some hot takes because there are some people that I

[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_04]: am loving how they are evolving.

[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_04]: But I'm also like, you're not doing what you said you were doing.

[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_04]: And then there are other people that are just flat out surprising you.

[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, so yeah, we have a lot of stuff

[00:09:04] [SPEAKER_01]: we can bounce around to, but I like where your head's out

[00:09:07] [SPEAKER_01]: to start this episode off.

[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Right. So what's one that stands out to you?

[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_04]: So it is the glue to my hot glue gun.

[00:09:14] [SPEAKER_04]: Sam, I love him, right?

[00:09:17] [SPEAKER_04]: Like I think that he is putting himself in a great position.

[00:09:21] [SPEAKER_04]: I think he's aligning with the right people.

[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_04]: I think that he is someone that looks like a strong leader,

[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_04]: but he is allowing others to leave.

[00:09:30] [SPEAKER_04]: However, I feel like when we met him,

[00:09:32] [SPEAKER_04]: he said he a wolf and wolf's clothes, right?

[00:09:36] [SPEAKER_04]: Like, and I feel like throughout this episode,

[00:09:38] [SPEAKER_04]: I feel like he's being so nice.

[00:09:41] [SPEAKER_04]: He's letting everyone in and I'm worried that it might kind of backfire against him.

[00:09:48] [SPEAKER_04]: I understand he wants to be like upfront.

[00:09:50] [SPEAKER_04]: And it's like I need to tell my closest ally,

[00:09:52] [SPEAKER_04]: but you telling your closest ally, the person that you

[00:09:56] [SPEAKER_04]: unexpectedly found something with they telling somebody else.

[00:09:59] [SPEAKER_04]: And then Andy, then we throw Andy in the mix.

[00:10:02] [SPEAKER_04]: That's just a lot of variables that make me nervous.

[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Jack, I see where you're starting with, Bryce.

[00:10:11] [SPEAKER_01]: I would say right like that or that opening

[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_01]: in confession of Sam, like the wolf and wolf's clothing,

[00:10:18] [SPEAKER_01]: that gave me a lot of the vibe of it's like preseason

[00:10:22] [SPEAKER_01]: and you come up with a line in your head.

[00:10:24] [SPEAKER_01]: You're like because even in the context in which he said it,

[00:10:26] [SPEAKER_01]: it like didn't make a ton of sense.

[00:10:28] [SPEAKER_01]: He's like a lot of times there's a big target

[00:10:30] [SPEAKER_01]: that don't know how to be subtle.

[00:10:32] [SPEAKER_01]: And I think he was sort of being like,

[00:10:33] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm a target, but I'm going to play to the way I interpret it.

[00:10:36] [SPEAKER_01]: It's like I'm going to play like low key and make smart moves.

[00:10:40] [SPEAKER_01]: But then to be like, but I'm a wolf and wolf's clothing is like, OK,

[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_01]: well, then you're an obvious target,

[00:10:45] [SPEAKER_01]: which I don't think is how he wants to play the game.

[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_01]: So to that point, Bryce, I think that wolf and wolf's clothing

[00:10:51] [SPEAKER_01]: is like preseason like, you know, this would sound sick.

[00:10:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm going to say it.

[00:10:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Whereas I do think he wants to play this game.

[00:10:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Like he said, being the glue guy,

[00:11:01] [SPEAKER_01]: where he's bringing everybody into the fold.

[00:11:03] [SPEAKER_01]: And I like where his game is at a lot.

[00:11:07] [SPEAKER_01]: I wonder more about the context in which he found that idol with Anika

[00:11:11] [SPEAKER_01]: because to me, if you're not that trusting of Anika

[00:11:14] [SPEAKER_01]: and, you know, I haven't been on the island,

[00:11:17] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know exactly how you would execute it.

[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_01]: But I see a Buer advantage

[00:11:20] [SPEAKER_01]: and I'm with someone I don't want to see me find it.

[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I go a little more, you know,

[00:11:27] [SPEAKER_01]: put it in the pocket and be or like circle back to it.

[00:11:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Not on some Andy vibes, but.

[00:11:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Now, given that Anika saw him find it,

[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_01]: I actually think it was really, really smart of him to go

[00:11:40] [SPEAKER_01]: and be proactive and say,

[00:11:42] [SPEAKER_01]: I know this information is going to get out.

[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Let me just get ahead of it.

[00:11:47] [SPEAKER_01]: And I also don't hate him kind of rope in Andy,

[00:11:50] [SPEAKER_01]: because I think if you are really good with Sierra,

[00:11:53] [SPEAKER_01]: why not grab an Andy?

[00:11:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Keep the tribe strong.

[00:11:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Make sure you have some numbers going forward

[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_01]: rather than say voting out Andy potentially.

[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_01]: And then maybe Anika and Rachel stick together.

[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_01]: And now it's two to two.

[00:12:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Now, to your point, Bryce, just to put a pin in my Sam thoughts.

[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Right now he's playing a great game.

[00:12:13] [SPEAKER_01]: But this is one of those things where I agree with you down the line.

[00:12:17] [SPEAKER_01]: It's like, oh, Sam has a relationship with everybody.

[00:12:20] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, he keeps that going into the merge

[00:12:23] [SPEAKER_01]: and he's a big guy, too, where you're just

[00:12:26] [SPEAKER_01]: so on top of things and so ahead of things that could,

[00:12:30] [SPEAKER_01]: you know, come to bite him in the butt.

[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_01]: But right now I'm loving where Sam's game is that not to get too.

[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_01]: To an edit.

[00:12:35] [SPEAKER_01]: He had 16 confessionals this episode,

[00:12:37] [SPEAKER_01]: wow, which for, you know, an early episode is is crazy.

[00:12:41] [SPEAKER_01]: So he's definitely, you know, been a focal point of the season.

[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm liking what Sam's bringing to the table.

[00:12:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Wendell, what do you think?

[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_07]: I kind of agree with you, Jack.

[00:12:49] [SPEAKER_07]: It's like he's he said he wanted to be the glue guy.

[00:12:52] [SPEAKER_07]: And this guy is kind of like going and sharing different things with different

[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_07]: people and kind of keeping those people at his disposal.

[00:12:58] [SPEAKER_07]: But I'm scared for Sam post-merge.

[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_04]: Right. That you said it beautifully.

[00:13:04] [SPEAKER_04]: Like that's my only thing.

[00:13:04] [SPEAKER_04]: It's like you are actually executing everything that you said really well.

[00:13:08] [SPEAKER_04]: It's just that it's the second episode and damn it, you doing it too well

[00:13:13] [SPEAKER_04]: to the point that it's like I just worry for Sam and I like Sam.

[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_04]: And I listen, I put I plugged my glue gun up.

[00:13:20] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm expecting for him to use it all season.

[00:13:24] [SPEAKER_04]: So in a concern, not a dislike, because I think that he is killing it.

[00:13:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Something that stood out a little bit to me of like a little bit of a point

[00:13:33] [SPEAKER_01]: of concern is now we know him and Sierra are close, but I did think

[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_01]: it was a little strange, right?

[00:13:39] [SPEAKER_01]: When he's trying to maybe convince Sierra to, you know, let's use Andy

[00:13:43] [SPEAKER_01]: where he was like, you could see why I would it would be afraid

[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_01]: of going to four with, you know, all the girls, right?

[00:13:49] [SPEAKER_01]: To me, it's just phrasing things like that.

[00:13:52] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's a close ally, so you could probably speak a little bit more candidly.

[00:13:55] [SPEAKER_01]: But I never think you should be pitching it in a way that's like

[00:13:58] [SPEAKER_01]: here's why it's good for me or here's why I'm worried about you.

[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_01]: It would be more like here's why Andy could be good for your game,

[00:14:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Sierra and like rats.

[00:14:07] [SPEAKER_01]: So that gave me a little bit of pause.

[00:14:09] [SPEAKER_01]: But still, I think, you know, it seems like they're really close.

[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Even in the teaser, Anika thinks they might be dating.

[00:14:15] [SPEAKER_01]: And so, of course, you could be a little more honest with your conversations there.

[00:14:19] [SPEAKER_01]: But that does give me a little concern of Sam is really operating at a high level.

[00:14:26] [SPEAKER_01]: But I think he's also really viewing the game through what benefits him.

[00:14:31] [SPEAKER_01]: And maybe he's not thinking as much about how do you angle all these things

[00:14:35] [SPEAKER_01]: to other people where you can kind of let go of the control a little bit

[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_01]: and like let them run with it.

[00:14:42] [SPEAKER_04]: And I love the pairing of him and Andy.

[00:14:44] [SPEAKER_04]: I think it is easy for him or easy for someone to say, Andy's an issue.

[00:14:50] [SPEAKER_04]: He's the first person that we need to get rid of and seeing that Andy just

[00:14:55] [SPEAKER_04]: wants to be heard, wants to be seen.

[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_04]: And Sam is like, I'm listening.

[00:14:59] [SPEAKER_04]: I see you.

[00:15:01] [SPEAKER_04]: I think that that is an excellent move and not to jump all the way around.

[00:15:04] [SPEAKER_04]: But props to Andy, right?

[00:15:06] [SPEAKER_04]: Because I think Andy did something.

[00:15:08] [SPEAKER_04]: Andy was Andying, right?

[00:15:09] [SPEAKER_04]: And although in the first episode, Andy, Andying didn't work out that well.

[00:15:14] [SPEAKER_04]: But here is an example of this in this episode where I felt like Andy, Andying

[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_04]: worked out Andy put in a beware bag.

[00:15:23] [SPEAKER_04]: OK, first of all, thank you, Andy, because what have I been saying

[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_04]: on this podcast since the beware has been around?

[00:15:33] [SPEAKER_04]: I said if I find it, I would do what?

[00:15:35] [SPEAKER_04]: OK, so I just got joy.

[00:15:38] [SPEAKER_04]: And first of all, it said this isn't going to be good for us.

[00:15:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Andy put it back.

[00:15:46] [SPEAKER_04]: OK, like I love I love.

[00:15:48] [SPEAKER_04]: I love the fact that we in real time can see Andy, Andying and processing

[00:15:55] [SPEAKER_04]: things because when I tell you that is me, I be in my head so much.

[00:16:00] [SPEAKER_04]: And I'm like, oh, I don't know.

[00:16:01] [SPEAKER_02]: It's like you really see Andy and be like, what should we do here?

[00:16:05] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.

[00:16:06] [SPEAKER_02]: They're going to vote us out.

[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_02]: They're going to get us.

[00:16:08] [SPEAKER_02]: They were climbing for you this morning.

[00:16:09] [SPEAKER_02]: No, we're good.

[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's go talk to Sam.

[00:16:12] [SPEAKER_04]: Put it back like you know, like I love it.

[00:16:15] [SPEAKER_04]: But here is in a sense where I'm sure people disagreed with Andy, right?

[00:16:18] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm putting it back then.

[00:16:21] [SPEAKER_04]: OK, then Andy got back to camp and they was like, why don't you put it back?

[00:16:25] [SPEAKER_04]: They love you. Go get it.

[00:16:27] [SPEAKER_04]: And he goes to get it and it's not there.

[00:16:29] [SPEAKER_04]: And so then Andy starts Andying and what Andy does inadvertently

[00:16:35] [SPEAKER_04]: by bringing Sam into it.

[00:16:37] [SPEAKER_04]: And although Sam has it and Sam is lying to him,

[00:16:40] [SPEAKER_04]: I think that really solidifies to Sam that, OK, Andy might Andy a little bit.

[00:16:47] [SPEAKER_04]: But he is loyal and coming to me.

[00:16:49] [SPEAKER_04]: And I think that what Andy did in this moment was really make

[00:16:53] [SPEAKER_04]: a complete connection, not a connection of like just words, right?

[00:16:56] [SPEAKER_04]: Because in Survivor, people always going to say, I'm working with you.

[00:16:58] [SPEAKER_04]: I got you. I got you.

[00:16:59] [SPEAKER_04]: What Andy really did was like his actions to Sam showed that like,

[00:17:03] [SPEAKER_04]: yeah, I might not perceive everything or act how everyone acts.

[00:17:07] [SPEAKER_04]: But listen, I'm playing in this game and I'm loyal.

[00:17:09] [SPEAKER_04]: And I think that that really in the long run can work out for Andy.

[00:17:13] [SPEAKER_04]: Him having this solid base with Sam.

[00:17:17] [SPEAKER_04]: And so I think Andy Andying Andyed this episode and worked it out better.

[00:17:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Right. I do think no question he should have taken that

[00:17:25] [SPEAKER_01]: but where then now I don't disagree.

[00:17:28] [SPEAKER_04]: But let me just ask you this real quick.

[00:17:30] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, from what we have saw of Andy from the first episode,

[00:17:34] [SPEAKER_04]: do you really think that that would have been like, think about it?

[00:17:37] [SPEAKER_04]: Like I think he did the right thing for Andy, not like don't think about

[00:17:41] [SPEAKER_04]: how other players should play and what you could do with it.

[00:17:44] [SPEAKER_04]: Think about Andy in that moment.

[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_04]: I think Andy assessed the the pros and the cons.

[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_04]: And I I think he made a good decision.

[00:17:53] [SPEAKER_04]: Now think about it from Andy's perspective, Jack.

[00:17:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe in his perspective, it's like, OK, I'm trying to regroup

[00:17:58] [SPEAKER_01]: and like show that I'm chill and solid.

[00:18:02] [SPEAKER_01]: I could see why in his mind it's like, OK, if I take this advantage,

[00:18:06] [SPEAKER_01]: it's going to cause more chaos in my mind.

[00:18:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Like let me let me chill.

[00:18:10] [SPEAKER_01]: But maybe for Andy, that makes sense.

[00:18:13] [SPEAKER_01]: But I do think when you're kind of at the bottom,

[00:18:16] [SPEAKER_01]: you have to go for any advantage you can get.

[00:18:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Like it might push you down farther.

[00:18:21] [SPEAKER_01]: But if you're already at the bottom, give yourself a chance

[00:18:23] [SPEAKER_01]: to to be on the come up, right?

[00:18:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Because now Andy's at the mercy of ultimately Sam and Sierra.

[00:18:30] [SPEAKER_01]: And it might work out.

[00:18:31] [SPEAKER_01]: But if he had if he had grabbed an idol or something, you know,

[00:18:35] [SPEAKER_01]: now in his shoes, of course, he doesn't know what the word is going to be.

[00:18:38] [SPEAKER_01]: And maybe, you know, having that vote is really important

[00:18:41] [SPEAKER_01]: if he's hoping to work with Sam and Sierra.

[00:18:44] [SPEAKER_01]: But I just think when you're at the bottom, you got to go big.

[00:18:49] [SPEAKER_07]: Can you hide it elsewhere or you have to leave it where you put it back

[00:18:52] [SPEAKER_04]: where it is or you can take it and hide it somewhere else.

[00:18:56] [SPEAKER_04]: But you don't have a vote and it's considered like you're actively

[00:18:59] [SPEAKER_04]: like using the beware advantage.

[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I do agree with you, guys.

[00:19:03] [SPEAKER_01]: I think kind of with what we talked about with Sam and with Andy

[00:19:06] [SPEAKER_01]: is a really great point about, I guess, how I view, you know,

[00:19:10] [SPEAKER_01]: solidifying a good ally in a really tactical way is

[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_01]: kind of being ahead of the eight ball with giving information.

[00:19:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Right. And I survived as a game of information.

[00:19:21] [SPEAKER_01]: You don't want to be running around spilling all your guts

[00:19:24] [SPEAKER_01]: and like behind people's backs or like saying too much about people's plans

[00:19:29] [SPEAKER_01]: or like telling everyone you have an idol.

[00:19:30] [SPEAKER_01]: But I think really what I would call is like giving harmless information

[00:19:35] [SPEAKER_01]: that seems impactful, right?

[00:19:37] [SPEAKER_01]: So Andy saying like, hey, Sam, I found this beware advantage.

[00:19:41] [SPEAKER_01]: I put it back.

[00:19:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Like it's gone now.

[00:19:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Like that's not really going to ricochet onto Andy because, you know,

[00:19:47] [SPEAKER_01]: he doesn't even have it.

[00:19:48] [SPEAKER_01]: But if I'm a Sam, I'm like, damn, Andy's telling me this

[00:19:50] [SPEAKER_01]: like really important information.

[00:19:53] [SPEAKER_01]: This is good to know.

[00:19:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Like I trust Andy more to the same point.

[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Like Sam, I think a lot of a lot of times it's good to

[00:20:00] [SPEAKER_01]: give information that you know was kind of going to get out anyways

[00:20:03] [SPEAKER_01]: and just sort of be the first person there.

[00:20:05] [SPEAKER_01]: So like Sam knows that Anika is probably going to leak his

[00:20:09] [SPEAKER_01]: his beware advantage to like a Rachel.

[00:20:12] [SPEAKER_01]: So he's like rather than them hearing about it

[00:20:15] [SPEAKER_01]: and I don't say anything and they don't trust me.

[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Let me just go to them and get ahead of it

[00:20:19] [SPEAKER_01]: and like really try to like bring act like I'm bringing them in.

[00:20:23] [SPEAKER_01]: And it seems to work pretty well.

[00:20:24] [SPEAKER_01]: So I think both those are really good examples of like how to build

[00:20:27] [SPEAKER_01]: those bonds with information without like giving too much wet.

[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_04]: We also could talk about my girl, Anika, because I keep saying

[00:20:36] [SPEAKER_04]: I see so much of J. Maya in her and I keep saying I want justice for J.

[00:20:40] [SPEAKER_04]: Maya. And I think my girl, Anika, has come to season 40 several

[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_04]: to get the justice because my girl, Anika is sharp.

[00:20:49] [SPEAKER_04]: When I mean sharp like first of all her people, Sam and then like

[00:20:55] [SPEAKER_04]: involving herself, making it like, you know, and she is aware that

[00:20:58] [SPEAKER_04]: her and Sam aren't that close, right?

[00:21:00] [SPEAKER_04]: Like so it's like it's not like she's thinking this bonds them, right?

[00:21:04] [SPEAKER_04]: And Sam is aware of that.

[00:21:05] [SPEAKER_04]: So it's like I think that they played a good job acting with each other.

[00:21:08] [SPEAKER_04]: But I just thought Anika's confessional afterwards was just like

[00:21:12] [SPEAKER_04]: Sam's a target. He's a threat.

[00:21:15] [SPEAKER_04]: If this doesn't already illuminate his threat level, I don't know what does.

[00:21:19] [SPEAKER_04]: But it seems like she pieces it up enough for the group, but just

[00:21:23] [SPEAKER_04]: to be able to see and hear her walk through this process.

[00:21:26] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, OK, Anika is clocked in.

[00:21:28] [SPEAKER_04]: She's aware of what's going on.

[00:21:30] [SPEAKER_04]: And I think that that's important as well.

[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_04]: I hope she executes and kind of makes moves correctly

[00:21:36] [SPEAKER_04]: and not pop off too soon.

[00:21:38] [SPEAKER_04]: But I'm hoping that she can get down the line and work through it.

[00:21:45] [SPEAKER_01]: She's clocking things really accurately and like has really good reads on the game.

[00:21:49] [SPEAKER_01]: But I'm a little bit nervous about her being a little bit blunt

[00:21:51] [SPEAKER_01]: or like being a little bit of a personality, right?

[00:21:53] [SPEAKER_01]: In the teaser, we see her ask Sam, who I think is married.

[00:21:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe you didn't share that.

[00:21:58] [SPEAKER_01]: But in the teaser, where she's like, are you two dating?

[00:22:02] [SPEAKER_01]: And then or, you know, how she's like calling Andy

[00:22:04] [SPEAKER_01]: like the toxic clingy boyfriend, not to his face, but in special.

[00:22:07] [SPEAKER_01]: But clearly she's very blunt, but also has a really good read on like strategic

[00:22:12] [SPEAKER_01]: situations, which is kind of how I interpreted Venus's game.

[00:22:15] [SPEAKER_01]: And you know, anyone who's kind of similar to Venus is going to be a fun character.

[00:22:20] [SPEAKER_07]: So yeah, she she has good reads, but she keeps it funky.

[00:22:23] [SPEAKER_07]: So it's like, I don't want I don't want that to bite her and send her home early.

[00:22:27] [SPEAKER_07]: I don't want that to be a reason why her tribe wants the gun for anything

[00:22:31] [SPEAKER_07]: like that. But we'll see. Right.

[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, so far. Yeah.

[00:22:34] [SPEAKER_04]: I feel like if she was Venus, Venus already Venus already, right?

[00:22:39] [SPEAKER_04]: Like so. I feel like she's good, but I'm worried as well.

[00:22:43] [SPEAKER_04]: Can we also talk about a very wholesome moment that I thought was just very wholesome.

[00:22:49] [SPEAKER_04]: Coconut moment.

[00:22:51] [SPEAKER_04]: I loved it. Now, watching it is like, we know what they doing.

[00:22:57] [SPEAKER_04]: Right. We know.

[00:22:58] [SPEAKER_04]: But in that moment, I don't know if Andy knew and I love that for Andy

[00:23:03] [SPEAKER_04]: because I feel like in that moment when it was cutting that coconut,

[00:23:08] [SPEAKER_04]: there's like, yeah, it is like, y'all want to a three slices?

[00:23:12] [SPEAKER_04]: What y'all want?

[00:23:12] [SPEAKER_04]: Like, I just love the like, I know it's a game and I know, you know,

[00:23:17] [SPEAKER_04]: we have to play it and like you have to be in game mode.

[00:23:20] [SPEAKER_04]: But like after witnessing Andy last week kind of have that meltdown,

[00:23:24] [SPEAKER_04]: it was just very exciting for me to just even if it was false

[00:23:28] [SPEAKER_04]: for that three seconds for Andy to chop that coconut

[00:23:32] [SPEAKER_04]: and for them to just capture the smile illuminating from his face.

[00:23:38] [SPEAKER_04]: I love that for him.

[00:23:39] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, that was really funny.

[00:23:43] [SPEAKER_07]: He got his coconut redemption really early.

[00:23:45] [SPEAKER_07]: He did. He was he got more than that in the episode.

[00:23:49] [SPEAKER_04]: OK, he said, y'all clap it for you.

[00:23:52] [SPEAKER_04]: Clamper for me the way I chopped this coconut.

[00:23:56] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, where do you see what I could do to a bag of rice?

[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_07]: He was practicing on the coconut.

[00:24:04] [SPEAKER_07]: He said, they're going to eat.

[00:24:06] [SPEAKER_07]: They're going to eat this up.

[00:24:07] [SPEAKER_07]: Wait, see, we were at the watch party like, don't give Andy tonight.

[00:24:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was crazy.

[00:24:16] [SPEAKER_04]: And I was cracking up because I don't think Jeff ever

[00:24:20] [SPEAKER_04]: has said this before, but that's like, watch your finger, boy.

[00:24:25] [SPEAKER_04]: And he's like everybody's little brother, man.

[00:24:28] [SPEAKER_04]: He's like, Jeff was definitely a mom at that point,

[00:24:33] [SPEAKER_04]: cooking on the stove.

[00:24:35] [SPEAKER_04]: And Andy was that three year old toddler coming up like,

[00:24:38] [SPEAKER_04]: what are you doing?

[00:24:39] [SPEAKER_04]: Let me put my get your head off the stove, Andy, but.

[00:24:44] [SPEAKER_04]: I love that.

[00:24:45] [SPEAKER_04]: I love it.

[00:24:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Should we kick it over to let's go over to the Red Tribe Lavo.

[00:24:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Really funny start to this, this tribe's dynamic where Rome

[00:25:00] [SPEAKER_01]: decides to clue Teenie in to this beware advantage that he's found

[00:25:04] [SPEAKER_01]: to Teenie's surprise because they don't really have much of a relationship.

[00:25:10] [SPEAKER_01]: And Teenie then decides to bring Kishan over to the box

[00:25:19] [SPEAKER_01]: and show him what's up.

[00:25:22] [SPEAKER_01]: And while they're scoping this out, Rome stumbles upon them.

[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_01]: It's like some guys.

[00:25:32] [SPEAKER_07]: He had a stern walk.

[00:25:34] [SPEAKER_07]: He knelt right down there, but it's like, what you going to yell at him?

[00:25:37] [SPEAKER_07]: So like, but he was not happy as he shouldn't be.

[00:25:40] [SPEAKER_04]: And that moment of him walking up first of all, I think Rome is a lot.

[00:25:45] [SPEAKER_04]: But this episode, I think I'm like, I think Rome has

[00:25:50] [SPEAKER_04]: the detective capacities to get through because for Rome to walk up

[00:25:57] [SPEAKER_04]: at that moment means that Rome was like, wait a minute, where everybody at?

[00:26:03] [SPEAKER_04]: Let's go to the spot right now.

[00:26:05] [SPEAKER_04]: Like, although it was like awkward and

[00:26:07] [SPEAKER_04]: Seedy was like, I can talk my way out of anything, girl.

[00:26:10] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if you actually can talk your way out of anything.

[00:26:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Because your response was like, well, Jack,

[00:26:19] [SPEAKER_04]: I told Wendell where it was because I was thinking we all could work together.

[00:26:28] [SPEAKER_04]: Now, although I didn't tell you, Jack,

[00:26:32] [SPEAKER_04]: I was about to and I'm glad you're here now.

[00:26:36] [SPEAKER_05]: Like I was like, where was I to call you?

[00:26:41] [SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, and he showed I thought he show I handle that perfectly.

[00:26:45] [SPEAKER_04]: He sure said that's what he sure said.

[00:26:48] [SPEAKER_04]: OK, he was like, if I don't say nothing,

[00:26:51] [SPEAKER_04]: maybe they won't realize that I'm really here.

[00:26:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was a hilarious moment.

[00:27:00] [SPEAKER_07]: Love to see like where Rome was when he was like,

[00:27:04] [SPEAKER_07]: I need to get up and walk over there.

[00:27:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, whatever was the coincidence and they both decided to go.

[00:27:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Like maybe it was like early morning or he maybe he noticed

[00:27:14] [SPEAKER_01]: like Bright said that they were gone.

[00:27:15] [SPEAKER_01]: He's like, what are they up to?

[00:27:19] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.

[00:27:20] [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I just I think Rome handled it well.

[00:27:25] [SPEAKER_01]: I just don't understand him telling.

[00:27:27] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sick of people just telling everybody everything.

[00:27:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Like if you find something, just keep it to yourself.

[00:27:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Like I guess people think it's going to like bring people in close with you.

[00:27:37] [SPEAKER_01]: And maybe that's the case, maybe with a Beware advantage

[00:27:40] [SPEAKER_01]: where there's like hoops to jump through.

[00:27:42] [SPEAKER_01]: It's not bad to like let your closest ally know

[00:27:44] [SPEAKER_01]: so that you could have some help.

[00:27:45] [SPEAKER_01]: You have someone to look out for you.

[00:27:48] [SPEAKER_01]: But it's like if I just go to someone I don't have a relationship with

[00:27:52] [SPEAKER_01]: and I'm like, no, like I found this like we're close now.

[00:27:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Right? Like, no, that's not how it works.

[00:27:59] [SPEAKER_04]: But I think that from what I've seen of Teenie last episode,

[00:28:03] [SPEAKER_04]: everyone has said that her energy is great.

[00:28:06] [SPEAKER_04]: People like her.

[00:28:06] [SPEAKER_04]: She's making connections.

[00:28:07] [SPEAKER_04]: So I'm not mad at Rome for doing this.

[00:28:09] [SPEAKER_04]: I think that Rome was like I think that Rome is aware

[00:28:11] [SPEAKER_04]: that he could do a better job of connecting with the tribe.

[00:28:14] [SPEAKER_04]: But so like that person could be Teenie.

[00:28:18] [SPEAKER_04]: But we know that it's not, you shouldn't.

[00:28:21] [SPEAKER_04]: But I'm not mad at him trying to make that connection.

[00:28:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he probably identified that that she's in the, you know,

[00:28:28] [SPEAKER_01]: the focal focal point of the tribe and that's someone who's

[00:28:31] [SPEAKER_01]: going to be a crucial decision maker.

[00:28:34] [SPEAKER_01]: So you want to connect with them.

[00:28:35] [SPEAKER_01]: And I guess maybe Rome thought they were closer than they were.

[00:28:38] [SPEAKER_01]: But everyone wants to share everything.

[00:28:40] [SPEAKER_01]: And to me, it's like if you're sharing things day four,

[00:28:44] [SPEAKER_01]: then either you have to, you're basically going to have to ride

[00:28:47] [SPEAKER_01]: to the end with that person or they might have an opportunity

[00:28:50] [SPEAKER_01]: to flip things on you and with with the knowledge of your advantage.

[00:28:56] [SPEAKER_01]: So it's just it's just the office.

[00:28:57] [SPEAKER_04]: It is an accelerated game though, Jack, right?

[00:28:59] [SPEAKER_04]: Like I think and from what I've heard a lot from the new era is that,

[00:29:03] [SPEAKER_04]: you know, back in my day, back in Windows day, right?

[00:29:07] [SPEAKER_04]: Like there were a lot.

[00:29:09] [SPEAKER_04]: There were maybe two, three days that you could build these bonds

[00:29:12] [SPEAKER_04]: where nothing will be going on and you would just be at camp.

[00:29:15] [SPEAKER_04]: And so I don't think that the new era has the luxury of just hanging

[00:29:21] [SPEAKER_04]: out at camp, building bonds like that.

[00:29:23] [SPEAKER_04]: So I do think they are a little bit more accelerated because it's like

[00:29:27] [SPEAKER_04]: we might be at a tribe swap.

[00:29:28] [SPEAKER_04]: We might be losing.

[00:29:29] [SPEAKER_04]: Like I think I'm not mad at thought process, but yeah,

[00:29:32] [SPEAKER_04]: like I don't think that I would share that with anybody.

[00:29:36] [SPEAKER_01]: And aside from that, on this tribe, we don't see a lot

[00:29:39] [SPEAKER_01]: of like strategic dynamics.

[00:29:41] [SPEAKER_01]: We kind of see Rome is a bit on the outs and he's getting an edit

[00:29:45] [SPEAKER_01]: of being like a showman and a little bit cocky.

[00:29:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Little bit.

[00:29:50] [SPEAKER_01]: What do we what do we think about what Rome's bringing?

[00:29:54] [SPEAKER_07]: Rome, Rome is the star of his show.

[00:29:57] [SPEAKER_07]: And I almost there are sometimes when I get like Bruce Vibes from Rome

[00:30:02] [SPEAKER_07]: in that you might not see how people are viewing you and you got a lot

[00:30:08] [SPEAKER_07]: of energy and you got a lot to give.

[00:30:11] [SPEAKER_07]: And but I could also I could also see him like, you know,

[00:30:15] [SPEAKER_07]: I could see him landing kind of where Bruce landed.

[00:30:17] [SPEAKER_07]: Like I could see him get fighting away through the game.

[00:30:21] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it is very clear that Bruce was the older brother.

[00:30:27] [SPEAKER_04]: Q was the middle brother.

[00:30:29] [SPEAKER_04]: And Rome is their little brother because they all grew up in the same house.

[00:30:33] [SPEAKER_04]: Like they're like and while Rome is chaotic and doing a lot of things,

[00:30:39] [SPEAKER_04]: this is what I will say.

[00:30:41] [SPEAKER_04]: And this is what the episode had for me was that Rome is playing

[00:30:45] [SPEAKER_04]: while it is season 40 Rome.

[00:30:49] [SPEAKER_04]: He understands, right?

[00:30:51] [SPEAKER_04]: Like I feel like he has a knowledge of the game.

[00:30:53] [SPEAKER_04]: And sometimes I have seen this be an advantage in these newer era of seasons.

[00:30:58] [SPEAKER_04]: Rome is getting the party started, right?

[00:31:02] [SPEAKER_04]: Like he is not waiting.

[00:31:03] [SPEAKER_04]: And sometimes it's like, you got to get the party started.

[00:31:08] [SPEAKER_04]: And he's right.

[00:31:10] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, it could be it couldn't be.

[00:31:11] [SPEAKER_04]: But it's like I feel like the advantage that Rome has is he is setting the pace.

[00:31:17] [SPEAKER_04]: The others now have to keep up and that puts them at a disadvantage.

[00:31:22] [SPEAKER_01]: And I like his decision.

[00:31:23] [SPEAKER_01]: We didn't talk about it.

[00:31:24] [SPEAKER_01]: He right then and there in front of teeny and Qishon,

[00:31:28] [SPEAKER_01]: you know, accepts this one tribal idol.

[00:31:30] [SPEAKER_01]: So he's going to be now that he set this tempo.

[00:31:33] [SPEAKER_01]: He's going to be good at the first tribal and now people have to adjust

[00:31:37] [SPEAKER_01]: and play accordingly.

[00:31:38] [SPEAKER_01]: And it seems like there's a lot of different moving moving pieces

[00:31:41] [SPEAKER_01]: in this tribe where maybe this forms some crack.

[00:31:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe Rome was the initial target, but maybe now some cracks form

[00:31:47] [SPEAKER_01]: that allow Rome to slip through a couple of travels.

[00:31:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Now I think he's going too hard and I think he's running people the wrong way.

[00:31:53] [SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think Rome is necessarily long for the game.

[00:31:57] [SPEAKER_01]: But Lavo is winning challenges.

[00:32:00] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, he's got this one one idol.

[00:32:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he makes it to a swap and makes it to a merge.

[00:32:04] [SPEAKER_01]: And then he's not necessarily on the outs.

[00:32:07] [SPEAKER_01]: And like you said, with Bruce can slip through and we'll see what happens.

[00:32:12] [SPEAKER_01]: At least, you know, I don't know my read on him yet,

[00:32:16] [SPEAKER_01]: but he's definitely making good television.

[00:32:18] [SPEAKER_01]: So cannot be mad at that.

[00:32:20] [SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, I'm just curious if the lava dynamics are really outside of Rome

[00:32:25] [SPEAKER_01]: because I feel like 75 percent of what we've seen over there is about Rome.

[00:32:29] [SPEAKER_04]: Right. And I think Rome doesn't get enough praise for taking the one idol.

[00:32:34] [SPEAKER_04]: And I think what he was like, listen, I let Kishon and Tini know

[00:32:39] [SPEAKER_04]: Rome will not be going home this first tribal.

[00:32:42] [SPEAKER_04]: And I think that that is a mistake that I have made and others have made

[00:32:46] [SPEAKER_04]: where it's like you really got to get through the first tribal

[00:32:49] [SPEAKER_04]: and there is still game left.

[00:32:52] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm so happy that Rome did not gamble and go for more.

[00:32:57] [SPEAKER_04]: Made a very calculated decision.

[00:32:59] [SPEAKER_04]: And I don't think that that that's a part of why I'm like, wow, Rome really does.

[00:33:03] [SPEAKER_04]: He's wild and crazy.

[00:33:05] [SPEAKER_04]: But he has a pulse on the game because I think that that was brilliant

[00:33:08] [SPEAKER_04]: of him to be like, let's get through this first tribal council.

[00:33:11] [SPEAKER_07]: And if he didn't find Tini and Kishon

[00:33:14] [SPEAKER_07]: digging for it, he would have been for it.

[00:33:17] [SPEAKER_07]: Went for like the three or yeah, the multiple day idol.

[00:33:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it is interesting.

[00:33:22] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we didn't mention Sam also took the single tribal idol.

[00:33:27] [SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, fast forward a little bit.

[00:33:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Gabe takes three tribal idol but plays at a tribal one.

[00:33:34] [SPEAKER_01]: And we can get more into that decision when it comes around.

[00:33:36] [SPEAKER_01]: But it is funny thinking that, you know, these players are out on the island

[00:33:41] [SPEAKER_01]: fresh after watching 46 or yeah, I think they saw the whole season

[00:33:45] [SPEAKER_01]: where four people in a row and five will total go home with an idol in their pocket.

[00:33:50] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure that's influenced them to be like, let me just get this idol out of my pocket.

[00:33:55] [SPEAKER_01]: So I don't overthink it and go home with it.

[00:33:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Because I don't want to I don't want to be like many of the 46ers that go home

[00:34:03] [SPEAKER_01]: with one, it's like that.

[00:34:04] [SPEAKER_01]: So it definitely simplifies the decisions a little bit.

[00:34:07] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure. Right.

[00:34:08] [SPEAKER_04]: And especially when you stumble upon people finding it or

[00:34:11] [SPEAKER_04]: for sure, yeah, it was someone around.

[00:34:14] [SPEAKER_04]: I think the best bet is to get rid of it. True.

[00:34:17] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, yeah.

[00:34:18] [SPEAKER_01]: And I guess in everyone's case, Gabe, Rome and Sam,

[00:34:21] [SPEAKER_01]: multiple people know about it.

[00:34:23] [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, might as well.

[00:34:25] [SPEAKER_01]: It's too it takes too much finesse to be able to like get that that early

[00:34:30] [SPEAKER_01]: and really navigate with it in your pocket with people knowing and like do it at the right time.

[00:34:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Because I feel like you have to be in constant

[00:34:37] [SPEAKER_01]: like paranoia that someone's going to try to blindside you.

[00:34:40] [SPEAKER_01]: And that might just be a bad thing for your game in general when you're worried about

[00:34:45] [SPEAKER_01]: and you know, it's easy to get blindsided without an idol.

[00:34:49] [SPEAKER_01]: But I feel like at least my limited experience off the island and in other survivor

[00:34:54] [SPEAKER_01]: experiences is you can kind of tell when you're not the target.

[00:34:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Right. Like if you're getting a bunch of different names coming to you

[00:35:01] [SPEAKER_01]: and you maybe Bryce retarding Wendell and Wendell, you're talking to Bryce,

[00:35:05] [SPEAKER_01]: you guys are both coming to me going after each other.

[00:35:07] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's like and people are really like weighing the decisions.

[00:35:10] [SPEAKER_01]: It's like, OK, I'm probably not a target here.

[00:35:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Whereas, you know, if everyone's just telling me it's going to be Bryce

[00:35:15] [SPEAKER_01]: and I'm like, I don't know who Bryce is voting for.

[00:35:17] [SPEAKER_01]: And like everyone's just telling me I'm good.

[00:35:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I'm a little bit more suspicious.

[00:35:21] [SPEAKER_01]: But then when they know you have an idol, it's like, well, now they actually

[00:35:24] [SPEAKER_01]: have to make you feel good.

[00:35:25] [SPEAKER_01]: So so now I guess my point is when people now know you don't have the idol,

[00:35:29] [SPEAKER_01]: maybe you can read the game a little bit more honestly and not have to be

[00:35:32] [SPEAKER_01]: in constant constant fear of a blindside.

[00:35:35] [SPEAKER_07]: Do you think Rome is the kind of person that, you know, he says,

[00:35:39] [SPEAKER_07]: like, all right, I'm using this is the one.

[00:35:41] [SPEAKER_07]: This is the one tribal idol.

[00:35:43] [SPEAKER_07]: Do you think he's the kind of person that might try something slick with it?

[00:35:45] [SPEAKER_07]: I do. I do.

[00:35:46] [SPEAKER_04]: I do. But call me a fool.

[00:35:50] [SPEAKER_04]: Him and that confessional, I believed it.

[00:35:52] [SPEAKER_04]: Like I thought what he was saying,

[00:35:55] [SPEAKER_04]: Jeannie and Kishon know that I won't be going home.

[00:35:59] [SPEAKER_04]: I believe that he said that with his chest.

[00:36:02] [SPEAKER_01]: True. But I mean, if there's ever a time to do some slick,

[00:36:06] [SPEAKER_01]: it's it's in a situation like this where you literally see

[00:36:10] [SPEAKER_01]: that it's for one tribal, it's like they're never going to vote for you.

[00:36:13] [SPEAKER_01]: And you can kind of put it on whoever you want.

[00:36:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Now, does Rome necessarily have the connections right now or

[00:36:21] [SPEAKER_01]: like whatever to pull that off? Maybe not.

[00:36:24] [SPEAKER_04]: Like that is a good question, but my actual question is in the details

[00:36:27] [SPEAKER_04]: because it says this is only good for one tribal.

[00:36:31] [SPEAKER_04]: So if you go to one tribal and it's no longer good,

[00:36:34] [SPEAKER_04]: can you then put it in the box and try to get it?

[00:36:36] [SPEAKER_04]: I would think that it kind of washes it away.

[00:36:38] [SPEAKER_01]: It does. I think what we're saying is maybe at the first time.

[00:36:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, played on someone else or yeah.

[00:36:46] [SPEAKER_01]: It's like maybe the target shifts to like soul and maybe Rome's like

[00:36:51] [SPEAKER_01]: role play he saved himself.

[00:36:53] [SPEAKER_07]: No, I think Rome is I think Rome is the kind of guy

[00:36:57] [SPEAKER_07]: that he wants to do something so crazy.

[00:37:00] [SPEAKER_07]: So where it looks like, first of all, save your fancy plays for after the merge.

[00:37:03] [SPEAKER_07]: But I think he is so amped up that I wouldn't be surprised

[00:37:07] [SPEAKER_07]: if he tried something crazy with this idol the first time they go.

[00:37:10] [SPEAKER_04]: Can we also talk about.

[00:37:14] [SPEAKER_04]: That's how I know Bruce

[00:37:18] [SPEAKER_04]: and Rome were raised in the same household.

[00:37:21] [SPEAKER_04]: Can we talk about, wait, not Rome being like, yeah, I wish I could dance better.

[00:37:26] [SPEAKER_04]: Fish, the whole episode was dancing.

[00:37:28] [SPEAKER_04]: Like he was.

[00:37:30] [SPEAKER_04]: That's your boy.

[00:37:31] [SPEAKER_01]: He was like, I always knew I could be a rapper if I really wanted to.

[00:37:34] [SPEAKER_04]: They said, get down with the rat because I'm back with a.

[00:37:39] [SPEAKER_04]: I didn't finish it.

[00:37:41] [SPEAKER_02]: But no, when I finish it, when I finish it, I would kill it.

[00:37:47] [SPEAKER_01]: And like the moment where he's like, I always thought I could have gone to the

[00:37:50] [SPEAKER_04]: league or did you clock Asia where Asia said, well, what happened?

[00:37:57] [SPEAKER_04]: Now, clearly she's being joking.

[00:38:00] [SPEAKER_04]: Did you hear Rome's response?

[00:38:02] [SPEAKER_04]: What is it?

[00:38:02] [SPEAKER_04]: It was like, yeah, I mean, I just stopped playing.

[00:38:05] [SPEAKER_04]: I like I started.

[00:38:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, really?

[00:38:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Rolled my ankle on JV.

[00:38:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Never came back from it.

[00:38:13] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I had the clock Asia where she said, well, what happened?

[00:38:18] [SPEAKER_04]: And he said, yeah, I mean, I just got into other things.

[00:38:21] [SPEAKER_04]: Wrapping was really evolving for me.

[00:38:24] [SPEAKER_04]: My parents enrolled me in the dance.

[00:38:27] [SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, Rome is hilarious.

[00:38:31] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, he's like, like what's what's homegirl that had a million jobs?

[00:38:34] [SPEAKER_07]: I live Debbie.

[00:38:37] [SPEAKER_07]: Didn't live seven jobs too?

[00:38:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, they had her jobs were unclear.

[00:38:43] [SPEAKER_01]: She was a fake millionaire, but Debbie was like a pilot politician.

[00:38:50] [SPEAKER_01]: A model, a nurse, scientist.

[00:38:54] [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, that's Laval's got an interesting dynamic going on.

[00:38:57] [SPEAKER_01]: And then we can kick it over to Tuku where, you know,

[00:39:01] [SPEAKER_01]: TK is building this alliance with Kyle and Tiana.

[00:39:07] [SPEAKER_01]: And Tiana, you know, expresses that she was worried about a potential bromance,

[00:39:11] [SPEAKER_01]: but now she feels pretty good about working with TK and Kyle.

[00:39:15] [SPEAKER_01]: I was here for you also.

[00:39:16] [SPEAKER_01]: And they pull in Gabe as a potential fourth, but it's not really like

[00:39:22] [SPEAKER_01]: it's just kind of like, yo, you're our four like come in.

[00:39:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Gabe kind of sees this and decides to try to go sort of make something happen

[00:39:32] [SPEAKER_01]: with Caroline and Sue, Caroline's kind of skeptical.

[00:39:35] [SPEAKER_01]: But Gabe shows her his idol and she is now a little bit more on board.

[00:39:43] [SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, ultimately Sue is a little bit bad.

[00:39:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Sue and Kyle and TK and Tiana go take like a nap on the beach.

[00:39:52] [SPEAKER_01]: TK is chatting up a storm.

[00:39:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Sue's kind of annoyed.

[00:39:56] [SPEAKER_01]: And now I guess we're sort of at this spot where Tiana is a potential swing

[00:40:01] [SPEAKER_01]: vote between Sue as a target and TK as a potential target.

[00:40:06] [SPEAKER_01]: And that's sort of the dynamic around Tuku.

[00:40:09] [SPEAKER_01]: What stood out to you guys about this?

[00:40:10] [SPEAKER_04]: Gabe is somebody to watch, right?

[00:40:12] [SPEAKER_04]: Like I like, first of all, I know we don't cast villains.

[00:40:15] [SPEAKER_04]: And I wouldn't say Gabe is a villain, but Gabe is.

[00:40:19] [SPEAKER_04]: Like I didn't see it at first, but I am loving this like anti

[00:40:27] [SPEAKER_04]: because it really is kind of like a rebellion against like and I don't want to

[00:40:33] [SPEAKER_04]: say the popular kids, but it's like there is normally a core alliance that gets

[00:40:39] [SPEAKER_04]: formed and like they're like, well, Gabe kind of fits in and like let's

[00:40:45] [SPEAKER_04]: bring you all in.

[00:40:47] [SPEAKER_04]: And Gabe's like, OK, well, I'm not dumb and I love Gabe recognizing this because

[00:40:50] [SPEAKER_04]: a lot of times in these alliances that fourth person don't realize they

[00:40:55] [SPEAKER_04]: are fourth person until it's too late for you to do anything.

[00:40:58] [SPEAKER_04]: So I love Gabe being so proactive and I love the fact that he is like his

[00:41:04] [SPEAKER_04]: squad is not what you would think you would go get.

[00:41:09] [SPEAKER_04]: And we play in basketball and there's LaMella ball, LeBron James,

[00:41:14] [SPEAKER_04]: Kyrie Irvin and Alan Iverson.

[00:41:16] [SPEAKER_04]: And I'm like, oh, and they like, Bryce, you could play with our squad.

[00:41:19] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, no, I'm going to get my own squad.

[00:41:21] [SPEAKER_04]: That's like me going to get Rome.

[00:41:26] [SPEAKER_04]: Bruce Bruce and Q and Q.

[00:41:30] [SPEAKER_07]: Like it's like or Christian who big you like you got the miss.

[00:41:33] [SPEAKER_07]: It's Bryce.

[00:41:34] [SPEAKER_07]: You got this rag tag band of miss fits right.

[00:41:37] [SPEAKER_07]: And that's dangerous.

[00:41:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, Bryce is like on this team, I'm going to get the ball.

[00:41:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Like he's like if I'm with Michael Jordan, Alan Iverson and LeBron,

[00:41:47] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just going to be standing in the corner.

[00:41:50] [SPEAKER_01]: But I'm a foul.

[00:41:51] [SPEAKER_01]: You already know.

[00:41:52] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm a foul passer.

[00:41:54] [SPEAKER_04]: But it really is good, though, because we know Sue and Tiana are good.

[00:41:59] [SPEAKER_04]: I haven't seen Sue tell Tiana about the Avengers alliance.

[00:42:02] [SPEAKER_04]: Like I think there is something powerful about what Gabe is doing.

[00:42:08] [SPEAKER_04]: And I love the fact that Gabe is being proactive and reactive.

[00:42:12] [SPEAKER_04]: I like it.

[00:42:13] [SPEAKER_04]: Like he's sneaky.

[00:42:15] [SPEAKER_04]: And at first I like it.

[00:42:16] [SPEAKER_07]: He had to get some footing a little bit.

[00:42:18] [SPEAKER_07]: Like at first he was a little awkward and like like bumbling.

[00:42:21] [SPEAKER_07]: And he dropped that box and all that stuff.

[00:42:23] [SPEAKER_07]: Now it's like, all right, I'm here.

[00:42:25] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm peeping the scene.

[00:42:27] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm reading things.

[00:42:28] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm going to start making moves.

[00:42:29] [SPEAKER_07]: And I think he said something about like Russell being one of his

[00:42:33] [SPEAKER_07]: one of the players he wants to play.

[00:42:35] [SPEAKER_07]: Like I get a little Tony vibes even.

[00:42:39] [SPEAKER_07]: Like I like his I like his like shady sneakiness, his his plays.

[00:42:44] [SPEAKER_07]: And even later when he's willing to go against TK, I like that too.

[00:42:47] [SPEAKER_04]: So would you recommend Gabe, Texan, Russell?

[00:42:51] [SPEAKER_07]: They should stay on Facebook.

[00:42:53] [SPEAKER_07]: Can we continue on please?

[00:42:54] [SPEAKER_07]: Thank you.

[00:42:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Here's my issue with Gabe.

[00:42:59] [SPEAKER_01]: But I like the moves he's been making so far.

[00:43:03] [SPEAKER_01]: OK, however, I take issue with I feel like he is really trying too hard

[00:43:13] [SPEAKER_01]: to be a villain and I don't necessarily now I'm not mad at the moves.

[00:43:18] [SPEAKER_01]: But I feel like in his confessionals and things like that,

[00:43:21] [SPEAKER_01]: he is like too eager to be villainous.

[00:43:25] [SPEAKER_01]: And right now the moves are OK.

[00:43:27] [SPEAKER_01]: But I'm worried that down the line,

[00:43:30] [SPEAKER_01]: he's going to be just so focused on on this that, A, it's going to hurt his social

[00:43:34] [SPEAKER_01]: game and B, it's just going to maybe like distract him from like playing solid

[00:43:39] [SPEAKER_01]: survivor and a couple examples I would cite would be, you know,

[00:43:43] [SPEAKER_01]: it kind of reminds me of when I went into the circle, I was like, oh,

[00:43:46] [SPEAKER_01]: I want to be a big villain.

[00:43:48] [SPEAKER_01]: But it's like once the game starts, you kind of let go of that narrative

[00:43:50] [SPEAKER_01]: and you just play, but I still feel like Gabe is kind of holding on to this.

[00:43:55] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, dude, stop like his confession about the women being

[00:43:57] [SPEAKER_01]: like wounded birds is like, dude, that's like you're like phrasing things

[00:44:01] [SPEAKER_01]: in a way to like seem really devious, but it seems really like this.

[00:44:05] [SPEAKER_01]: It seems kind of like disingenuous, right?

[00:44:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Like Russell was like crazy and like that was him.

[00:44:11] [SPEAKER_01]: And like that's like he was the original.

[00:44:13] [SPEAKER_01]: But now it's like I feel like games trying to almost like cosplay as

[00:44:17] [SPEAKER_01]: like a Russell and it's like just be yourself, dude.

[00:44:20] [SPEAKER_01]: And also like his confessional when he voted, he was like, want to see a magic trick.

[00:44:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Like this is how I make your game disappear.

[00:44:26] [SPEAKER_01]: It's like, OK, bro, I know you've been thinking about that one for like five

[00:44:29] [SPEAKER_01]: months and like he ate now.

[00:44:31] [SPEAKER_02]: He ate with that one.

[00:44:33] [SPEAKER_02]: That one ate.

[00:44:34] [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't eat that because I'm like, I know you were sitting at home like

[00:44:37] [SPEAKER_01]: writing down like best lines and like watching like Wendell's

[00:44:41] [SPEAKER_01]: ghost island Chris Noble confessional.

[00:44:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, I want to be like that.

[00:44:45] [SPEAKER_01]: And now, like I think his gameplay is really good, but I'm like, I look,

[00:44:49] [SPEAKER_01]: I think it's kind of an act.

[00:44:51] [SPEAKER_01]: And honestly, I feel like I can speak to this because going in the circle,

[00:44:53] [SPEAKER_01]: I kind of had a similar mindset, but it's like just drop the act like

[00:44:57] [SPEAKER_01]: castings over, you don't have to play it up anymore and just play the game.

[00:45:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Play your game.

[00:45:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Don't be so concerned with people because the best villains are not thinking

[00:45:08] [SPEAKER_01]: like, oh, I want to be a villain.

[00:45:09] [SPEAKER_01]: They're just being themselves and hanging a little bit devious and then

[00:45:13] [SPEAKER_01]: and then their villains because of that.

[00:45:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Anyone who's like trying to be villainous,

[00:45:19] [SPEAKER_01]: you just like just seems really fake and it's like, what are you doing?

[00:45:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Like you just want to be disliked.

[00:45:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Just be yourself.

[00:45:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Like you're he seems like like just be you.

[00:45:29] [SPEAKER_01]: So that's that's my two cents on it.

[00:45:31] [SPEAKER_04]: I like the fact that the tribe addressed the awkward situation last week

[00:45:39] [SPEAKER_04]: where we saw the box fall from the mountain and they kind of sort of covered it up.

[00:45:45] [SPEAKER_04]: And we didn't see really anyone address it.

[00:45:46] [SPEAKER_04]: But I like throughout the episode that everyone in their own time frame was like,

[00:45:52] [SPEAKER_04]: homeboy over there look like we hear it fall out the tree.

[00:45:56] [SPEAKER_04]: Like so it is.

[00:45:58] [SPEAKER_04]: I thought that that was great.

[00:45:59] [SPEAKER_04]: And I think that that kind of although we don't see the storyline,

[00:46:03] [SPEAKER_04]: I think that that Jack is what amps up games like villain level because I

[00:46:08] [SPEAKER_04]: think that the tribe knows what's up.

[00:46:11] [SPEAKER_04]: And so I think that this is his way of being offensive is being like,

[00:46:15] [SPEAKER_04]: Mr. Evil trying to figure stuff out.

[00:46:18] [SPEAKER_01]: But I think the game I think the game plan and his game play is the strongest

[00:46:22] [SPEAKER_01]: of anyone on this tribe so far.

[00:46:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Like I think he's probably the best player on this tribe.

[00:46:27] [SPEAKER_01]: So what I'm saying is I think what's going to hold him back is this idea

[00:46:31] [SPEAKER_01]: that he has to be seen as a villain like being a villain is fun.

[00:46:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, like let it come naturally.

[00:46:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Don't like I thought I honestly thought the wounded bird thing was a little bit

[00:46:42] [SPEAKER_01]: like I don't want to say misogynistic, but it wasn't necessarily like the best look

[00:46:48] [SPEAKER_01]: like Sue and Caroline are strong players.

[00:46:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Like it's like I was watching with with

[00:46:57] [SPEAKER_01]: a couple players from the new era.

[00:47:00] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to put anyone's name out there.

[00:47:02] [SPEAKER_01]: But they were like, you could tell he was watching like Caleb highlights.

[00:47:06] [SPEAKER_01]: And he was like, how do I make professionals like Caleb and kind of like trying to recreate that?

[00:47:11] [SPEAKER_01]: And watching with a couple, a couple, a couple of 42.

[00:47:16] [SPEAKER_04]: You were watching with the people you went out to dinner with when we had a dinner

[00:47:19] [SPEAKER_01]: reservation, maybe a couple.

[00:47:23] [SPEAKER_01]: But that's October 9th.

[00:47:26] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not even eating dinner.

[00:47:28] [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, it's just like, I don't know.

[00:47:31] [SPEAKER_01]: I just feel like focus on trying to be something.

[00:47:34] [SPEAKER_04]: Jack, what does a wounded bird sound like?

[00:47:38] [SPEAKER_02]: That's a bird on.

[00:47:41] [SPEAKER_02]: That's me as a dove trying to get under the to keep me.

[00:47:46] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm vulnerable.

[00:47:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's just like because I can tell I think if you're on the island,

[00:47:53] [SPEAKER_01]: I think he'd be someone cool to hang out with good player.

[00:47:55] [SPEAKER_01]: So I'm just like, I just think it is it's weird to say because all of these

[00:47:59] [SPEAKER_01]: things that are happening in like confessional or in like his voting

[00:48:02] [SPEAKER_01]: confessional, which aren't going to have any impact really on the other players.

[00:48:06] [SPEAKER_01]: But I just think it shows me his focus is a little bit distracted.

[00:48:10] [SPEAKER_01]: And I guess that's my but it is of all the edits we've been seeing so far.

[00:48:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Like Dave's is really interesting because it's like, is he going to crash

[00:48:18] [SPEAKER_01]: and burn really early?

[00:48:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Is he going to like go all the way and win this thing?

[00:48:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Like I think any of those things might be possible.

[00:48:24] [SPEAKER_04]: But what is so interesting though, right?

[00:48:26] [SPEAKER_04]: Is there are three very different male images, right?

[00:48:31] [SPEAKER_04]: Like we have a Sam who is like, you know, playing a great game,

[00:48:37] [SPEAKER_04]: strong, then you then you have a Rome who like most people are thinking

[00:48:41] [SPEAKER_04]: is like crash and burn.

[00:48:42] [SPEAKER_04]: Then you have a game as someone that's like this evil, devious type of person.

[00:48:48] [SPEAKER_04]: So it's just interesting the three like main arcs that we're seeing

[00:48:52] [SPEAKER_04]: within these male characters.

[00:48:55] [SPEAKER_04]: I really want to get to the challenge because I really want to talk about

[00:48:57] [SPEAKER_04]: the ending of the challenge.

[00:48:59] [SPEAKER_04]: I thought the challenge was great.

[00:49:00] [SPEAKER_04]: I love in this new era, this multi level

[00:49:05] [SPEAKER_04]: challenge that's like team base, but also has some individual strong points

[00:49:12] [SPEAKER_04]: about it. I just love the layers of the challenge.

[00:49:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was a really fun challenge.

[00:49:18] [SPEAKER_01]: There's so much to unpack, I guess at the end we can kind of zoom through

[00:49:21] [SPEAKER_01]: the challenge itself. You know, they're navigating this bag of rice

[00:49:24] [SPEAKER_01]: through some obstacles and they get to a

[00:49:28] [SPEAKER_01]: I guess one person has to do sort of a blind maze.

[00:49:32] [SPEAKER_01]: And then they have to get the ball out of the bag of rice.

[00:49:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Honestly, all three of them were looking like Rambo, like just attacking it.

[00:49:44] [SPEAKER_01]: And then the final three people have to navigate like a snake table maze.

[00:49:50] [SPEAKER_01]: And

[00:49:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Gata ends up winning.

[00:49:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Lava gets second and Tuku loses.

[00:49:59] [SPEAKER_01]: And I guess the big takeaways here were

[00:50:02] [SPEAKER_01]: A, Rachel pocketing some rice gets called out by Jeff.

[00:50:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, let's talk about that first.

[00:50:09] [SPEAKER_04]: First of all, to whatever producer,

[00:50:12] [SPEAKER_04]: cameraman, that radio to Jeff to look at how pockets count your days.

[00:50:22] [SPEAKER_04]: I hope you get intestinal

[00:50:24] [SPEAKER_04]: gelitis and you got diarrhea for six days.

[00:50:27] [SPEAKER_04]: Like why would you blow that girl's game up?

[00:50:30] [SPEAKER_04]: I thought that that was so innovating and fun.

[00:50:35] [SPEAKER_04]: And as a survivor, former player,

[00:50:38] [SPEAKER_04]: can you imagine the power she wielded back at camp?

[00:50:45] [SPEAKER_04]: If they would like just like with 17 great.

[00:50:49] [SPEAKER_07]: You get some rice, you get some rice.

[00:50:52] [SPEAKER_04]: Like that was so I dare I say this is we might have to put her on the same level

[00:50:57] [SPEAKER_04]: as Claire Raphson and these legendary moves in the new era because that was iconic.

[00:51:05] [SPEAKER_04]: And I'm kind of mad that they spoiled it.

[00:51:08] [SPEAKER_04]: I thought fans would like that.

[00:51:12] [SPEAKER_04]: I loved that.

[00:51:14] [SPEAKER_01]: I think what are you seeing back at camp?

[00:51:17] [SPEAKER_01]: To the snuck.

[00:51:18] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.

[00:51:18] [SPEAKER_07]: And in this game, you're encouraged to push the envelope and do like weird things

[00:51:23] [SPEAKER_07]: and think outside the box.

[00:51:25] [SPEAKER_07]: That was definitely thinking outside the box.

[00:51:27] [SPEAKER_07]: And they should I think they should have allowed it.

[00:51:30] [SPEAKER_07]: And but I will say this.

[00:51:33] [SPEAKER_07]: If people tried in the future, I wouldn't be surprised if they do allow it at some

[00:51:37] [SPEAKER_07]: point, like if they're like, yeah, maybe we messed that one up.

[00:51:40] [SPEAKER_07]: But maybe let's see what happens.

[00:51:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Or maybe the next move is you just kind of start eating the rice during the challenge.

[00:51:47] [SPEAKER_01]: You can't eat raw rice, right?

[00:51:49] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, you can.

[00:51:50] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't think your body can digest it.

[00:51:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, that was my question to you guys.

[00:51:55] [SPEAKER_01]: I think you would know better than I would.

[00:51:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Do we think this was a decision based on fairness where it wasn't fair for them

[00:52:03] [SPEAKER_01]: to get this extra rice according to production?

[00:52:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Or could it have been like a health thing where maybe this rice had been pre-pred

[00:52:11] [SPEAKER_01]: for this challenge five days ago and it was like sitting in the salt water.

[00:52:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it was like kind of moldy and like they didn't want to deal with

[00:52:18] [SPEAKER_01]: the health concerns that these 30 grains of rice would provide.

[00:52:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Is that a possibility or do we just think Jeff was like, no, you can't take

[00:52:25] [SPEAKER_01]: the challenge right?

[00:52:26] [SPEAKER_04]: I think she got caught.

[00:52:28] [SPEAKER_04]: I think that if she would have been a little more stealthy,

[00:52:29] [SPEAKER_04]: I think it was my just in front pocket, back pocket life.

[00:52:33] [SPEAKER_07]: I think I don't think I don't think there's any level of stealthiness

[00:52:37] [SPEAKER_07]: that would have prevented her from being caught.

[00:52:39] [SPEAKER_07]: I feel like at one of the merges.

[00:52:43] [SPEAKER_07]: No, bro, I feel like at one of the merges, I don't know, I've been to a couple.

[00:52:49] [SPEAKER_07]: At one of the merges, I tried to like there was a knife on the table or

[00:52:53] [SPEAKER_07]: somewhere I got my hands on the knife and I didn't put it on me.

[00:52:58] [SPEAKER_07]: I wherever we were sitting, I put it on the ground and I buried it just like like

[00:53:02] [SPEAKER_07]: like as if you see, you can't see my hands now.

[00:53:05] [SPEAKER_07]: I was just burying it just like this.

[00:53:07] [SPEAKER_07]: And afterwards one of the producers was like, yo, we need that knife.

[00:53:11] [SPEAKER_07]: Like they their eyes are everywhere.

[00:53:15] [SPEAKER_07]: So I don't think there was a level of stealthiness

[00:53:18] [SPEAKER_07]: that would have prevented her from getting caught.

[00:53:20] [SPEAKER_07]: But and I don't think it was a health issue that they're like, oh,

[00:53:25] [SPEAKER_07]: we don't want her eating this particular rice.

[00:53:28] [SPEAKER_07]: And I don't think it's an unfair advantage issue where they're like,

[00:53:32] [SPEAKER_07]: we don't want this tribe having 30 grains of rice.

[00:53:36] [SPEAKER_07]: I just think it was a, all right, Jeff, Jeff, this is your moment.

[00:53:40] [SPEAKER_07]: Go get her. Go get her real quick.

[00:53:42] [SPEAKER_07]: And I think that's what happened.

[00:53:44] [SPEAKER_07]: But I think if they thought it through a little more, they would have.

[00:53:48] [SPEAKER_04]: And you could tell Jeff wasn't mad at it.

[00:53:50] [SPEAKER_04]: No, you know when Jeff is mad, I think he enjoyed it and was like,

[00:53:54] [SPEAKER_04]: you thought you'd get one over on old Jeffy, but you can't.

[00:53:57] [SPEAKER_04]: But he definitely enjoyed the moment.

[00:54:00] [SPEAKER_04]: The blind puzzle was a particular favorite for me only because did y'all see

[00:54:06] [SPEAKER_04]: Romans men in the North has to be tall stick it to the bottom.

[00:54:11] [SPEAKER_04]: If you want to why they do wrong like that?

[00:54:15] [SPEAKER_04]: Rome had to beat on his tippy.

[00:54:16] [SPEAKER_04]: That's what took Rome so long.

[00:54:19] [SPEAKER_01]: I think it's the same with Piana, actually, at points, which is fine.

[00:54:26] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you know, like, yeah, that's why his NBA dreams that come true.

[00:54:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Because the other team is great.

[00:54:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that puzzle was fun.

[00:54:37] [SPEAKER_01]: I love the snake.

[00:54:38] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it absolutely was.

[00:54:41] [SPEAKER_04]: I love the snake thing.

[00:54:42] [SPEAKER_04]: It's a new version of what we've seen.

[00:54:44] [SPEAKER_04]: It definitely seems difficult having three people work together like pull

[00:54:50] [SPEAKER_04]: out of starters, you'll get like it seemed hard to maneuver.

[00:54:54] [SPEAKER_04]: Yo, good job.

[00:54:55] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[00:54:56] [SPEAKER_04]: Now let's talk about it.

[00:54:58] [SPEAKER_04]: OK, because I really want to talk about TK here because when I was what

[00:55:03] [SPEAKER_04]: when I was at our BWP viewing experience in Dallas, I was at TK.

[00:55:11] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, what the F are you doing?

[00:55:14] [SPEAKER_04]: When I got home and I rewatched it, I was like still met a TK, right?

[00:55:20] [SPEAKER_04]: In the sense that like brother just shut up.

[00:55:24] [SPEAKER_04]: Right.

[00:55:24] [SPEAKER_04]: Shut up.

[00:55:25] [SPEAKER_04]: But I'm not mad at what he said given from his sports aspect.

[00:55:29] [SPEAKER_04]: Right.

[00:55:29] [SPEAKER_04]: I understand why he would say something like that.

[00:55:31] [SPEAKER_04]: Like it's like no kids, no life.

[00:55:33] [SPEAKER_04]: I completely get it.

[00:55:35] [SPEAKER_04]: That's like if he just thought he was at a press conference.

[00:55:40] [SPEAKER_04]: You know what you said at the press conference and they asked you.

[00:55:42] [SPEAKER_04]: That's where TK thought he was.

[00:55:44] [SPEAKER_04]: He like forgot for a moment he was on survivor because it's like what he is

[00:55:48] [SPEAKER_04]: saying as a sportsman, as a team player, I get it wrong place, wrong time.

[00:55:55] [SPEAKER_04]: Like it just but how can you explain when that adrenaline running?

[00:56:00] [SPEAKER_04]: You lose, you're down, you're disappointed.

[00:56:02] [SPEAKER_04]: And it's like he wants to take account of like I felt and everyone can be

[00:56:07] [SPEAKER_07]: coached and everyone can coached like like that.

[00:56:10] [SPEAKER_07]: Like sometimes I think, man, what if Danny McCray were in that situation?

[00:56:15] [SPEAKER_07]: His version of uplifting and coaching might be a little different than,

[00:56:19] [SPEAKER_07]: man, we don't we don't smile after a loss.

[00:56:21] [SPEAKER_07]: Like nah, it's everyone can't receive that.

[00:56:24] [SPEAKER_07]: And at that moment when everyone is stinging and understands someone has to go home.

[00:56:28] [SPEAKER_07]: I think the best option at that point is to just lock it up.

[00:56:32] [SPEAKER_07]: Now for TV, it's great TV because now it's like this little line

[00:56:37] [SPEAKER_07]: that he said is exactly why Tiana's like, all right, I'm going for like,

[00:56:42] [SPEAKER_07]: I can't do this with him.

[00:56:43] [SPEAKER_07]: But you're not in the press conference, brother.

[00:56:46] [SPEAKER_07]: It's not after that kind of game and they can vote you out.

[00:56:50] [SPEAKER_07]: Whereas that football team you were on,

[00:56:52] [SPEAKER_07]: they probably aren't voting you off the football team for being a little more

[00:56:55] [SPEAKER_07]: intense next time.

[00:56:56] [SPEAKER_04]: And then it was just like, OK, give you this mistake.

[00:57:00] [SPEAKER_04]: We're asking for you to clean it up.

[00:57:02] [SPEAKER_04]: And in the cleanup process, you spilling more juice on the floor.

[00:57:07] [SPEAKER_04]: It was like brother.

[00:57:09] [SPEAKER_04]: And again, this is where why I love survivor so much.

[00:57:13] [SPEAKER_04]: It's like these people that fit the bill of being talented, charismatic, funny.

[00:57:20] [SPEAKER_04]: Like survivor is not that easy.

[00:57:22] [SPEAKER_04]: And I keep telling these people that when you get out there,

[00:57:25] [SPEAKER_04]: you have to be careful of like your blind, like what are your blinders

[00:57:30] [SPEAKER_04]: and your triggers?

[00:57:31] [SPEAKER_04]: Because when you start getting prickly out there, when you start feeling away,

[00:57:36] [SPEAKER_04]: that's when you're your most vulnerable because it's very I just I felt

[00:57:41] [SPEAKER_04]: where TK was coming from.

[00:57:42] [SPEAKER_04]: But it was just like, brother, you got to clean it up.

[00:57:46] [SPEAKER_04]: We want a campaign forty seven.

[00:57:48] [SPEAKER_04]: What's going on?

[00:57:50] [SPEAKER_04]: This is not how you talk to the constituents.

[00:57:52] [SPEAKER_04]: And meanwhile, Gabe, Gabe's a his

[00:57:55] [SPEAKER_04]: professional.

[00:58:00] [SPEAKER_06]: Did you hear the way the birds sounded when TK spoke?

[00:58:10] [SPEAKER_05]: What? Oh, it's time for dinner, mom.

[00:58:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, oh, oh, oh.

[00:58:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Mommy, want to see this lasagna disappear?

[00:58:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Mom, did that sound good?

[00:58:29] [SPEAKER_06]: TK, we're coming to get you.

[00:58:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Huh?

[00:58:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Hey, grandma, we got lasagna upstairs.

[00:58:37] [SPEAKER_05]: Gabe, come upstairs.

[00:58:38] [SPEAKER_05]: I hear you using your confessional voice again.

[00:58:41] [SPEAKER_05]: I told you to knock on the door.

[00:58:47] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm using this vaseline for my.

[00:58:50] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm moisturizing my feet.

[00:58:56] [SPEAKER_05]: That's normal.

[00:59:01] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm not screaming at you.

[00:59:03] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm playing Fortnite with Jack.

[00:59:06] [SPEAKER_05]: We're not gambling.

[00:59:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Shut up, mom.

[00:59:10] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm practicing my confessionals.

[00:59:13] [SPEAKER_05]: I couldn't be on some fiber.

[00:59:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Sorry, guys.

[00:59:19] [SPEAKER_07]: It's my mom.

[00:59:21] [SPEAKER_07]: Yo, Gabe, when you see Bryce, punch him in his throat.

[00:59:24] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, huh.

[00:59:28] [SPEAKER_04]: I also love my girl, Suda, right?

[00:59:31] [SPEAKER_04]: I love when Gabe is putting stuff together.

[00:59:34] [SPEAKER_04]: I love how excited she gets to be working with a team.

[00:59:41] [SPEAKER_04]: And like, I know Sue went out there saying like, she's going to be so strong.

[00:59:44] [SPEAKER_04]: And she's like, you can really tell that when she got out there and saw everyone

[00:59:48] [SPEAKER_04]: that like she was maybe a little intimidated and maybe thinking they were

[00:59:52] [SPEAKER_04]: going to target her. So it was like really good to have her.

[00:59:57] [SPEAKER_04]: I just liked the way that she was excited and hyped to be working with Gabe.

[01:00:02] [SPEAKER_04]: You feel what I'm saying, Jackie?

[01:00:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah. Sue's been great.

[01:00:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Guys, I think Sue's doing everything right.

[01:00:10] [SPEAKER_01]: She and Gabe both saw this opportunity to bring Tiana in, which ultimately is successful.

[01:00:16] [SPEAKER_01]: They're also not afraid to, you know, the whole rocks thing,

[01:00:19] [SPEAKER_01]: we haven't seen it in a while.

[01:00:21] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's interesting, I guess, how people sort of leverage the thread of rocks.

[01:00:26] [SPEAKER_01]: They're going to be like, well, we have three.

[01:00:28] [SPEAKER_01]: We want to pull Tiana in.

[01:00:29] [SPEAKER_01]: But ultimately the question is like, would Tiana even go to rocks?

[01:00:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, no, if we can kind of hold that over her head, she kind of has to switch.

[01:00:36] [SPEAKER_01]: And I think that was really smart.

[01:00:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I like what Sue's doing.

[01:00:41] [SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, we see Sue, Sue versus TK, the way that we've seen them.

[01:00:46] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't try not to read too much in the edit, but so far,

[01:00:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Sue has been so lovable and, you know, not a great edit this episode for TK.

[01:00:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Just like what with he's bringing to the show.

[01:00:59] [SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, the Sue versus TK debate

[01:01:03] [SPEAKER_01]: could kind of see what direction it was going to go in.

[01:01:06] [SPEAKER_01]: So it wasn't a shock, but we get to tribal.

[01:01:10] [SPEAKER_01]: And then we kind of it kind of piles on a little bit.

[01:01:13] [SPEAKER_01]: TK kind of, I don't want to say mansplains to Sue,

[01:01:17] [SPEAKER_01]: like how social relationships work.

[01:01:19] [SPEAKER_01]: And that's not going the way you want it to go.

[01:01:26] [SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, I think that's a good point.

[01:01:26] [SPEAKER_01]: And so, you know, we're going to talk about TK,

[01:01:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Sue's been doing an excellent job and, you know, there's also a lot of talk

[01:01:31] [SPEAKER_01]: about like the bromance on this tribe and maybe the lack thereof.

[01:01:36] [SPEAKER_01]: But I guess to get to the, you know,

[01:01:39] [SPEAKER_01]: we sort of went over the decision.

[01:01:40] [SPEAKER_01]: It kind of just boiled down to Tiana.

[01:01:42] [SPEAKER_01]: We could kind of see where it was going because we figured Tiana

[01:01:45] [SPEAKER_01]: wasn't going to go to rocks.

[01:01:46] [SPEAKER_01]: And with that being said, like she's going to jump on board

[01:01:48] [SPEAKER_01]: with Gabe, Sue and Caroline.

[01:01:51] [SPEAKER_01]: And ultimately TK goes home four to two.

[01:01:54] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, Kyle is surprised.

[01:01:56] [SPEAKER_01]: What do we think about, you know, TK lost, but he's smiling right there.

[01:02:00] [SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know what he's going to do.

[01:02:04] [SPEAKER_01]: No, but honestly, he was a good sport about it, which was nice.

[01:02:07] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think we can all agree this was probably like the right move

[01:02:11] [SPEAKER_01]: for pretty much everyone, but Kyle or at least like the move that made sense

[01:02:14] [SPEAKER_01]: in the moment.

[01:02:15] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm worried for Kyle.

[01:02:16] [SPEAKER_04]: I think that everything that we have seen of Kyle, I like Kyle.

[01:02:19] [SPEAKER_04]: I think that he's great.

[01:02:20] [SPEAKER_04]: I want to see more of Kyle.

[01:02:22] [SPEAKER_04]: I think Kyle fell into the the barrel of I'm working with somebody.

[01:02:27] [SPEAKER_04]: And that's it.

[01:02:28] [SPEAKER_04]: I think that he didn't really open up doors and now he's going to be forced

[01:02:32] [SPEAKER_04]: to open up doors and I don't know how people are going to be receptive of it.

[01:02:35] [SPEAKER_04]: But I really hope that Kyle can work his way back into the fold because I

[01:02:40] [SPEAKER_04]: really do like his personality and I want to see more of Kyle.

[01:02:45] [SPEAKER_07]: He's so nice and so loyal that that's that was who he was riding with.

[01:02:49] [SPEAKER_07]: But I think him being so nice and such like a sweet man will also help him

[01:02:55] [SPEAKER_07]: get back in graces with with the rest of the tribe, unless

[01:02:59] [SPEAKER_07]: unless this this kind of blindside like shook him and now he's

[01:03:04] [SPEAKER_07]: angry or upset and not willing to say, all right, now I need to go back

[01:03:10] [SPEAKER_07]: and get in with him if he's now like mad, you know, mad at them.

[01:03:14] [SPEAKER_07]: So I'm interested to see where he will go because again, this is a player

[01:03:19] [SPEAKER_07]: with such high upside.

[01:03:21] [SPEAKER_04]: I am a little worried for Gabe, right?

[01:03:23] [SPEAKER_04]: Just and all of the things that you were saying, Jack, about his

[01:03:26] [SPEAKER_04]: confessionals, him being like wanting to play up this villain.

[01:03:30] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, sometimes the problems are when people get power, then they

[01:03:35] [SPEAKER_04]: kind of start acting.

[01:03:36] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm so curious to see that his game has this check on his resume.

[01:03:41] [SPEAKER_04]: Curious to see how he will now maneuver because with TK gone,

[01:03:45] [SPEAKER_04]: will there be a new tribe leader to emerge?

[01:03:50] [SPEAKER_04]: And I'm just curious to see how Gabe will be with this alleged win

[01:03:55] [SPEAKER_04]: on his resume. Like I wonder how like, yeah, too much confidence.

[01:04:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Right.

[01:04:01] [SPEAKER_07]: And knowing knowing the kind of player Gabe is, they could just be like,

[01:04:06] [SPEAKER_07]: all right, we got TK out the way.

[01:04:08] [SPEAKER_07]: We can get you out now.

[01:04:09] [SPEAKER_04]: Like, but I don't know.

[01:04:11] [SPEAKER_04]: Sue will go with that because Sue now is like, I think Sue love how some

[01:04:15] [SPEAKER_04]: Gabe, so I don't know if I was too going to go with that.

[01:04:19] [SPEAKER_01]: It's interesting because thinking about Kyle, I think Kyle was great.

[01:04:22] [SPEAKER_01]: There was a great secret scene about Kyle.

[01:04:25] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you guys saw this, but it was very wholesome.

[01:04:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Wish it was in the episode.

[01:04:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it's not a great sign that it wasn't, but I have a lot of confidence in Kyle as

[01:04:35] [SPEAKER_01]: a player. The issue is like with this tribe dynamic, I don't know how he's really

[01:04:39] [SPEAKER_01]: going to fit his way back in now.

[01:04:40] [SPEAKER_01]: I think he could work with Tiana and like you guys said, maybe maybe

[01:04:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Caroline's a free agent here or something, but

[01:04:48] [SPEAKER_01]: it's hard to know who would go next on this tribe because I guess Kyle

[01:04:51] [SPEAKER_01]: would be the obvious person, but I have a lot of a lot of faith in Kyle

[01:04:54] [SPEAKER_01]: and people's willingness to work with him.

[01:04:56] [SPEAKER_01]: The other thing we failed to mention that I would love to talk about is

[01:05:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Gabe places idle at this travel council.

[01:05:03] [SPEAKER_01]: What do we think about this, man?

[01:05:04] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, get out the way, get some of this shadiness off me.

[01:05:08] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, y'all saw me being my little

[01:05:11] [SPEAKER_07]: here's the product. It's out of the way.

[01:05:13] [SPEAKER_04]: Now let's play some survivor.

[01:05:14] [SPEAKER_04]: But can Gabe contain himself and not go looking for it again because

[01:05:19] [SPEAKER_04]: normally they replant them, right?

[01:05:22] [SPEAKER_04]: Gabe, gonna be in them streets.

[01:05:25] [SPEAKER_07]: Trust and believe.

[01:05:26] [SPEAKER_07]: Let's hope he's not throwing boxes off

[01:05:28] [SPEAKER_07]: of cliffs anymore, making so much noise, but he's going to be in them streets looking.

[01:05:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't play it to me was interesting.

[01:05:35] [SPEAKER_01]: And I ultimately think it was a good move.

[01:05:37] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, part of me was like, why not just play it for Sue and make sure

[01:05:40] [SPEAKER_01]: you're playing goes over accordingly?

[01:05:43] [SPEAKER_01]: But I think if you're gay, you have a pretty good confidence that you're

[01:05:46] [SPEAKER_01]: going to at least have three votes.

[01:05:47] [SPEAKER_01]: I would guess there was some conversations behind closed doors with Tiana

[01:05:51] [SPEAKER_01]: where she probably locked in because if you know, if I was gay,

[01:05:56] [SPEAKER_01]: but I'd be feeling good, you at least think you have three votes.

[01:05:59] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, if you play it for Sue, maybe it's perceived as a bigger move where

[01:06:03] [SPEAKER_01]: I guess it wouldn't have necessarily saved Sue because it would have been

[01:06:05] [SPEAKER_01]: a four to vote anyways, but it's revealing more of that relationship

[01:06:09] [SPEAKER_01]: with Sue that you're willing to play it for.

[01:06:11] [SPEAKER_01]: And by playing it for himself, if there happens to be a tie,

[01:06:15] [SPEAKER_01]: well now, you know, Gabe can't go to rocks.

[01:06:18] [SPEAKER_01]: And if Tiana, you know, assuming the tie, Tiana would be on the other side.

[01:06:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Well now it's going to incentivize not only is Gabe safe, they go to rocks.

[01:06:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Tiana is a lot more likely to flip over because if they draw rocks,

[01:06:32] [SPEAKER_01]: who's drawing rocks?

[01:06:33] [SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be Kyle, Tiana and Caroline.

[01:06:35] [SPEAKER_01]: And in that situation, Tiana, you know, is going home a third of the time

[01:06:39] [SPEAKER_01]: or she's losing Kyle a third of the time, which means that she and TK

[01:06:44] [SPEAKER_01]: would then be on the bottom anyways.

[01:06:45] [SPEAKER_01]: So by playing the idol for himself, he kind of forces Tiana to come over

[01:06:50] [SPEAKER_01]: to their side and given that's a three tribal idol.

[01:06:55] [SPEAKER_01]: I think it's a good move just to make sure you're safe and make sure that you

[01:06:58] [SPEAKER_01]: pull the numbers that you have to.

[01:07:00] [SPEAKER_01]: And like we've seen in 46, I think the issue is so many players look for

[01:07:04] [SPEAKER_01]: that perfect moment to play an idol and like really change the game in their favor.

[01:07:09] [SPEAKER_01]: It's like just just just play it and make sure that you're in the good spot

[01:07:12] [SPEAKER_01]: that you think you are right and make sure you're in a good position in moving

[01:07:16] [SPEAKER_01]: forward in a solid spot and especially with those short term idols,

[01:07:20] [SPEAKER_01]: that's the best way you can use it.

[01:07:22] [SPEAKER_01]: I think so.

[01:07:23] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm not mad.

[01:07:25] [SPEAKER_04]: I thought this is a great episode.

[01:07:26] [SPEAKER_04]: Season 40 several trajectory is going pretty high and I'm excited to see what will happen.
