I'm your host Rob and this is the Ultimate Survivor Super Fan Podcast, a Purple Pants Podcast powered production. And today I got two people joining me talking about a historic Survivor episode.

How are you feeling today, Jastin? Pretty good. Not that bad. Uh, I did bring a friend this time, Rob. I hope you don't mind. It's my boy Richie. We were both in the same fraternity. Uh, we weren't there at the same time, but we both love Survivor and we were both part of the same family tree. But Richie, how are you doing? I'm great.

[00:02:42] Thanks for having me all. Um, I'm, I'm happy to be here. I love watching Survivor. Um, I actually got into it. I want to say like Rachel Lamont season. So it's always been on like sporadically growing up. Um, but I never really got into it until relatively recently. And I've watched so many seasons. Binge watched so many hours of Survivor. Survivor and Survivor 50. There's been some lulls.

[00:03:12] I'm not going to lie. Um, but this episode was really fun. Oh my God. Yeah. And I can't wait to get into it with you guys. Right. And thank you, Richie, for hopping on the pod too. You know, like even if you like want to call yourself like new super fan to it. Right. Like you're podcasting about Survivor now. So I think you're like top 1% now. Right. I made it. I made it. All right. Well, let's get into a pretty chaotic episode.

[00:03:40] Um, starting with one of Survivor fans is like favorite rewards of all time. The Survivor auction. You know, this is always something that I'm always hoping that is integrated in every single season. So when you see everyone walk up to the beach and Jeff standing there with the bleachers on the side, like, you know, it's the Survivor auction. You got everyone's envelope with their money in it. So what was your guys' reaction to the Survivor auction being in season 50?

[00:04:07] Well, I really liked the fact that they brought a whole montage of the auction on there. It was kind of crazy just seeing the different like versions of it. And I don't know this time around the table seemed pretty big, like compared to previous seasons. I don't know if you guys noticed that at all, but that was really interesting.

[00:04:24] Um, I shared the same sentiment as a lot of the, um, castaways that like, holy fuck, I'm seeing like a live, um, auction. And like when they were given the $500, I was like, oh, fuck. Yeah. Like it's going to, it's going to be fun. And the twist, the whole, what was it? Um, comfort or chaos. Oh yeah. Just so clever.

[00:04:54] And I thought, I honestly thought there were going to be more like chaos. They're very subtle. Like they did like Sari, Queen Bee, Queen Bee literally had one charcuterie board. And the rest was just comfort. Like homegirl brushed her teeth. Blanky. Like I love, I love. No, I completely agree too.

[00:05:19] I think it was a really good twist having both the comfort and the chaos, but that chaos aspect, I thought we were going to get a little bit more of that. I don't really know exactly what they could have done to maybe not necessarily like impact the game in a negative way, like making someone like lose a vote. I think I would have been pretty against that, but it was pretty great watching like Aubrey slurp down the slugs and the bugs. Like my God. And Jonathan like struggling to get through the sea slug.

[00:05:46] I think like it's like those like really like those small moments that really brings everyone together that like does make the survivor auction just a little bit more entertaining than just like everyone just eating food for the first time. But like also like I thought it was hilarious when Sari had been just like eating so much and she feels like everything coming up. But like that's so real, you know, because like you haven't eaten good food in however long.

[00:06:14] And now you're finally getting a taste of like all like the processed meats and stuff like, yeah, your stomach's not going to react too well to that. So I empathize with her there. Oh, yeah, for sure. But it's just insane how she's got a blanket, toothbrush and toothpaste. Like she basically went to like a Target or a CVS just to like get her items, you know, like out of everyone. I think she won and she could like bargain with those, to be honest. Yeah. Yeah.

[00:06:42] And like I just she's such a queen. All I got to say, shout out to Aubrey. Like women rock the way she ate those fucking like what grubs. I don't know what the fuck a grub is. Someone blurted out like, is that the brain? I was like, that's fucking gross. But the way Jonathan acted like eating the sea slug. I mean.

[00:07:12] It was like baked, you know, at least your shit was big. And you're over here running around making a whole scene. Grow up. I was just like the sea slug stuff. So funny, though, because like I think someone mentioned that like, oh, I did that in my season or something. And it's like, oh, well, now you're comparing and contrasting. They're like, oh, Jonathan took a while to get the sea slug down. But other people have done it like. Ah, it's whatever. Like, dang.

[00:07:41] I will say when Jonathan took a bite of that, it did sound like a rubber band being bit into. So that I don't even know how you're supposed to eat that at the end of the day. Let's not look like you have a fork and a knife to really help you chow it down. But if there was a meal that you guys could spend like all of your money on during the auction, like what would that be? When you're in that moment of like, I just want some sort of like comfort food. Or maybe you're thinking of like a strategic reason for like, I need like some meat or like mashed potatoes to like really fuel me.

[00:08:11] Like, what do you guys think you're spending all that money on? Oh, that's a really good question. And it could be anything, not anything that was in this episode. Yeah, anything, anything, anything. I don't know if this is a good idea, but like I'm gonna go with like a Celsius because I'm definitely gonna get wired.

[00:08:39] Like I need to like function and I think just being on that beach, like you're exhausted already. You might as well get some caffeine in you. Oh my God, that crash is gonna be brutal. For me, it would be like, I don't know, like a high noon and like a Zoloft.

[00:09:04] Just give me a Zoloft and a high noon baby and I'll be good to go. Now, I honestly think the first thing that popped into my mind was cookie crisps, like the cereal. Okay. There is like literally no like nutritional factor to that. It's just like my favorite high food. Um, but I think just like rice and beans, some rice and beans and chicken.

[00:09:34] Dang, rice and beans. You've been eating rice when you're on the beach though. I feel like I'd be wanting like anything else. But honestly, like that is like a great source of like energy that you're going to get from it. With the chicken. Yeah. With the chicken too. With the chicken. That's a good point. I think it definitely needs to be seasoned. You've been eating unseasoned rice and beans like the entire time you've been out there, I guess. So totally fair. Definitely needs to be seasoned.

[00:10:02] Um, but yeah, I think I'm probably going like comfort food as much as I'm probably like trying to think of like the long haul. Like, okay. Yeah. Like, let me get myself like just something like high fiber or something. Like I'm probably going to go like chicken wings, plate of fries. Maybe I like give me some cookies to some ice cream. I think that's like what I'm going to be like missing out on the beach when I'm just like daydreaming about food as I don't know. Like what else are you supposed to do on the beach? That's what I'm just going to be thinking of that food.

[00:10:30] But thinking of food, like a nice number one for McDonald's. Fuck me up. Diet Coke. Diet Coke. And if not, if they don't have Diet Coke, make it Sprite and I want to be electrocuted from the fizz. Um, one thing I appreciated about this episode was or like the auction was the amount of fucking dairy and cheese. And then Aubrey calls it out. No, it was Emily. Emily called it out. Um, it was like, I'm going to crap myself.

[00:11:00] Like, oh my God. Yeah. We got crazy. We had a milkshake, uh, grilled cheese, cake. I think someone had a protein shake. Mac and cheese. Yeah. Yeah. Oh my God. It's just, yeah, that's a lot of, uh, and then a chinkuri board. Yeah. Yeah. The snack tray might've had something too. I can.

[00:11:25] I just know going back to the beach, everyone was probably ripping ass and it smells so bad. I bet. But that's one place maybe I'm glad where I wasn't during that time. But I think they all rushed to the, to the ocean, into the ocean. A little spot. Yeah. I will say, I think the moment of the auction for me though, was when they brought out Mr. Beast and he introduces the super beware advantage.

[00:11:54] That's going to have a significant impact at tribal council. What was your guys' reaction to seeing Jimmy hit the beach and bring out this massive advantage? Okay. So all the previous celebrity cameos or lack of celebrity cameos, uh, love Billie Eilish, but like she hasn't made anything till actually this, this episode, but, um, it was actually pretty, pretty chill. He wasn't that bad. He wasn't like trying to promote anything. He was just like, I'm a fan of the show.

[00:12:25] And this is my twist obviously, but he did seem to take a step back, which was really nice. Like it, it wasn't, I don't think he had a confessional at all. It was just him. Yeah. It was just him in the auction and tribal. That was it. Yeah. Um, I'm going to come clean guys. I've never watched the beast games. I like know of Mr. Beast never really like, I don't know, watch his videos.

[00:12:54] Um, and. I was kind of like, like Sari when she's just like, okay. Um, I also thought that when the season started that we were going to get like a beast games or whatever the fuck you guys call it. Like, I thought like Sue was going to come back because I saw her and like, I don't know some, uh, I've just always get in Reddit threads. I hate it.

[00:13:19] Um, but I thought it was going to be like a whole production with Mr. Beast. And then I wrote down, why the fuck is everyone calling him Jimmy and not Mr. Beast? Like I would get like, is his name trademark? So like every time they say it, he gets money. So they cut that shit. Like they would bounce between like Mr. Beast and Jimmy. I'm like, okay, got it. I'm scatterbrained right now. Um, but definitely interesting. Yeah. Insane twist.

[00:13:48] I will say shout out CBS for listening to all of the fans feedback after that Zach Brown episode where he had so many confessionals. I heard that they did cut out a lot of like the Mr. Beast promos and stuff. So really like this is a season for the fans apparently. So I am happy about that, but yeah, honestly, I, the way that this advantage seemed that it was going to shake up the game seemed like it was going to have a significant impact.

[00:14:15] And we definitely saw that when we got the tribal council and they're almost like through the entire, like pretty chaotic tribal council with everyone throwing each other's plans out left and right. And then Mr. Beast walks up and he's like, okay, so this is the advantage where one of you is going to flip this coin. And either if it lands on the side that you call it, you're going to get, you're going to be safe at tribal council.

[00:14:42] You're going to get an immunity pocket idol in your pocket and the prize money is going to be doubled or you're going to be the person voted out. And I think in this season where we are like looking for these dynamic advantages to really have a significant impact in the game. Like this is what I was expecting, not a steal a vote, you know, not like an extra vote in the urn. It's something like this that is going to totally change the dynamic of what we're going to expect and how it's going to change the outcome of a vote.

[00:15:12] Yeah. Yeah. And like the one tribal where Emily finally like could say all like share everyone's fucking secrets. She doesn't like everyone is just doing it. I'm like, Emily is my off. Like girl, keep your mouth shut. It's giving fed. It's giving like, I can't trust you. Um, but like, I can't, I can't knock on her because she's made it so far.

[00:15:40] I don't know how, um, chef kiss, chef kiss. I will say like, Oh, no, you go, Justin. All right. It was just very interesting to have him like Emily who be flipping all the time, not be the one ratting everyone's teeth. It was, it was Devin's. Devin's messy. I loved what he did, but it was just like, he told everyone's teeth clock that shit, man. It was insane.

[00:16:11] Yeah. Yes. It's a game. He should. And like, he did tell us in a confessional that like, he's going to go in and throw everyone. Like he has all this information. Like Stephanie told him shit. Jonathan told him like, he knows shit. So he was like, I have nothing to lose. And he, like this whole episode was Devin centered with a little bit of Saree. Um, and I am just like floored at how messy he is.

[00:16:40] And it just makes me love Devin even more. Yeah. He knew his back was up against the wall because it was him that was going to go to tribal council or like, and get voted out had all of this really not unfolded the way it did. I did think it was an interesting decision for him at the beginning of the episode to tell everyone and come clean that his idol wasn't real. And what does he get by the end of the episode? A whole idol to himself. Like, my God, I couldn't believe that.

[00:17:08] But yeah, he did take Emily's spotlight, I guess, and tell everyone's tea to everybody. But I think that was his best strategy for what he could do to try to save himself and really create divides in this tribe and create some sort of room for him to actually maneuver in this game. Under, um, underdog though, Jonathan, he told one white lie and caused all this shit to happen. One little white lie.

[00:17:37] And it saved Devin's ass, which is so ironic. So, because he wanted him gone. Uh, yeah. I couldn't believe that too, because all he does is just like, just like blow a little like smoke just up Steph's ass to like really get her going. Right. To be like, Hey, like you're under the gun. Like Ozzy doesn't really want to work with you. We should really go for Ozzy right now. And that just starts the whole snowball of strategic energy that happens on the beach after tribal or after the immunity challenge.

[00:18:07] Like my God, if I could be any player in this episode, I would want to be Tiff knowing that I'm safe, knowing that I don't have to deal with any of the implications about the potential like Mr. B super beware advantage. Like my God, I would just be happy to kick back and relax. But I think it really was interesting to see how that strategy unfolded.

[00:18:27] It was like, it was kind of like a grenade just being passed from like person to person with everyone just kind of keeping it long enough to then throw it before their own game blows up. Just because we saw so many names being thrown out between Devin's Aubrey, Stephanie, Ozzy, Rizzo. Like there's genuinely almost everyone's name was brought up at some point and it really did get messy. Except our girl, Tiffany. Oh my God.

[00:18:57] That was crazy though. Because like I'm making a lot of the memes or whatever. And I think I sent you one, Rob, recently that was just like this skeleton, like, you know, death, the Grim Reaper just going door to door. And I was like, this is really interesting. Uh, coach Chrissy out his Jonathan editor voting for them. And then what now? Uh, it is Steph like, dang, he just. His integrity alliance just he's throwing it down.

[00:19:27] Under the bus. Yeah, completely out the door. Not a lot of people left in their pocket. I will say the one move that really surprised me that really snowballed all of the strategic talk was Joe. When after like Jonathan and Stephanie like approached him being like, hey, I think like this is the plan. Like we're going to go get Ozzy out. Like Joe kind of has that moment of clarity where it's like, well, is this really the group of people that I want to work with? Working with Devin's and Aubrey.

[00:19:54] And he goes to Sari, of course, it brings her the information like, hey, your ally once again in Ozzy is getting his name thrown out there. What are we going to do about it? And I think it was really great for Joe to be that person to bring Sari that information. Because I genuinely think that's going to carry him so much further into this game now. One hundred percent. Imagine. Having someone constantly protect you like Sari does to Ozzy. Having that comfort. Like.

[00:20:23] Ozzy is going to be good. Ozzy is going to be great. He's sitting back chilling. And Sari sitting over there just like. Like I got. Like the physicality part because I got Ozzy. And she has great social game. The dynamic duo is. Also flashback to last episode when she said. The wizard. The wizard of Oz. Gold.

[00:20:52] Someone trademarked that ASAP. Amazing. That's merch shit right there. Yeah. ASAP. No Rocky. They need to make bank from that. Honestly. But. Yeah. ASAP. I'm still like just genuinely wondering. Like who do people think that Sari's number one is? Because this is just yet another episode in a row. Where she saves Ozzy. If it's not clear now. I don't know what people are thinking. And that's the funny part though.

[00:21:22] Because at the very first episode. They were trying to avoid. Being seen together. Or like. Being that duo. But they're. This dynamic duo. Who's kind of. Once again adopted. Rizzo. Just to like. Cause chaos. Like those three. To kind of. Tight knit in general. But it's like. Interesting how. All the information that comes back to Sari's. Is to protect. Her two little. Her babies. Yeah. Yeah. Her two little boys. And. Rob.

[00:21:51] You had someone on your. Last episode. That. She said. Everyone thinks. They're. Like. Sari's number one. You know. It's like. When you get her attention. Or when she says something to you. Like. Oh my gosh. She's talking to me. Or oh my gosh. She wants to work with me. And then you blow it up in your head. And on top of that. You're malnourished. And like. Not thinking straight. Literally. Like. You're going to fall in love with her.

[00:22:21] And you are going to. Feel like you are her number one. So I think her number one. I think it's. I mean. She did the whole thing. You know. And Kristen's like. What. Third. Was. Third. Like. Like. Ozzy Rizzo. You know. And. That's her squad. And I think it's going to. Take her far. Mm-hmm. I. Sari needs her people in the game. Because she knows. If Ozzy. Or whoever she's aligned with. Gets voted out. Like. She's absolutely next.

[00:22:51] So she kind of needs to hold on to. As much power as possible. Each vote. To keep herself in the game. Because she kind of is a syndic. The second. Like. She kind of loses grasp. On. This tribe. And. Yeah. I. I think she. I mean. Every single season she plays. She puts herself in such an insulated position. And she's able to maneuver. So well. So beautifully. In this game. But. I. And that just goes to show you. That some players. Like. Really do seek out that spotlight.

[00:23:19] And know how to maneuver themselves in the game. While there are some people. Who do shy away from the moments. Like when the lights get brightest. Right. Right. But you know who's one player. That does not shy away. I mean. It's freaking Rick Devins. Like. Like. When that light turns on to him. He runs towards that. Refuses to stop. Because he's like. Built for the spotlight. Like. The second. Like. At tribal council. When. Like. They say like. What the advantage is. Like. For the Mr. B. Super. Beware advantage. Like.

[00:23:49] He's like. Oh yeah. I'm so down for that. Like. I need to be this person. To flip the coin. No B. Like. To have. Like. The. I don't know. The balls. That he has. Please. Please. Like. He. No B. Was like. Let me flip the coin. What? What? And the fact. I thought it was a joke. When. Like. Aubrey just. Somehow entered the picture. Who the fuck brought up Aubrey's name? Like. Jeff. Shut up.

[00:24:19] No. Aubrey's not going to do it. Have. Let. Devins. Have this fucking moment. You know. How would you guys have played it? If. You like. Let's. We're all under the assumption. That we're voting. Rick. Devins. Right. And now. Here he is. With. This opportunity. To get so much power. In the game. Do you think. You almost need. To go. Like. Up to bat. Against him. To make sure. That he's not that person. That gets all this power. In the game. Or. Are you just sacrificing.

[00:24:49] That potential. Like. Your. Your spot. In the game. If you're that person. To go home. Like. What are you. What do you think you're doing that moment? Do you let him get that opportunity? Are you trying to convince someone else. To maybe go to bat for him? Like. What do you do? What do you do? I feel like it's like. That kind of moment. Like. You can kind of only answer on spot. But like. I have no idea what I would do. Yeah. I think if you question it. And create a conversation. Around it. It could bring up. Like.

[00:25:19] Arguments. And it could make. Just. Shit. So much more messy. Like. Like. Yeah. He may. Like. I think. Devin said it best. It. A 50-50 chance. Is better than. A 1-6 chance. You know. Facts. And. I just think. That. Like. You never know. What the next tribal. Is going to look like. At all.

[00:25:49] So. Some shit. May happen. Blindside Rick. Who knows. Who knows. What's going to fucking happen. But. I'm not going to risk. My own gameplay. On fate. Not doing that. Or on chance. Rather. Not happening. I mean. Literally. I think everyone was just like. If he's going to. Get voted out anyways. Might as well give him the opportunity. Yep. If you get a shot. You get it or you don't. And. I feel like. I didn't. I didn't see. Season 2 of Beast Games.

[00:26:19] But they did do this in season 1. Of like. Flipping the coin. Or whatever. I think that also hit too. I can't remember right now. But like. It's just very interesting that like. The 5050 shot. Just. Helped Rick out so much more. And. Doubled the price pot. Which. Is kind of insane. To hear that. We now have. 2 million dollars. For this one. I think they did that. One other time. Right? Yeah. Season 40. Mm-hmm. Yeah. The taxes. For that shit.

[00:26:49] Is going to be crazy. It's going to be. Right now. I'm right. In the state of the world. Um. So fucking iconic. I think after. Last episode. This was needed. Like. If we got into. Another episode. Where. We as the audience. Already know who's going home. Because of. Camp dynamic. Then like. It doesn't make it fun. So. I'm glad this twist. Was thrown in. I'm glad. Like. Like.

[00:27:19] Producers and editors. Like. Worked on. And listened to the feedback. Of. Like. The whole Zach Brown shit. Um. That was the only episode. I didn't watch. I could see. Like. I just saw. Shit on Twitter. I'm like. Okay. Got it. Cool. Um. That's it. You know. I think. They learned their lesson. They're actively listening. Or hearing us. Um. And. It was a fire episode. After. Last week's. Oh.

[00:27:49] For sure. I mean. Literally like. First we got Rick Devins. Who's already the master of chaos. And we had. My captain. And then we have. Uh. The Mr. Beast twist. It just added more chaos. In the auction. At camp. At tribal. And then. We saw all the aftermath. After. The coin just flipped. Like. It was just all chaos. All around it. I think that's what everyone. Enjoyed about that episode. To be honest. I got a question for you guys. Do you think.

[00:28:17] Devins just solidified. His position in the final three. Ooh. I don't know if I can go. All the way to say these. Like final three bound. I think low key. Is probably like. Target number one now. Where I'd be looking. To try to get him out. Any chance I get. I would be. Surprised. If they don't throw. At least half of the votes. On him at the next tribal council. To really flush that idol. Like. He's so good. This episode. About. Aubrey brought it up. Like.

[00:28:47] We should just flush the fucking idols. Let's make a move. And get someone. Who has an idol out tonight. Which is why Ozzy came up. Yeah. And Rizzo as well. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Because. Idols will get more dangerous. The further into the game that we go. And those idols. For Ozzy. And Rizzo. They can only be played on them too. But this idol. That Devins has. Can now be played on anybody. Which makes it. That much more powerful. And scary. Because it's not like. One of the Billie Eilish. Boomerang idols. So. I. I would be very concerned.

[00:29:17] If I am Rick Devins. Just trying to get. Myself into the next round. Or just like. Just through each of the votes. Because. He's built his resume. More than a lot of other players. On the beach. Can say right now. Like. When Christian went home. Him and Emily. Were. Like. Definitely on the bottom. Right. Like. Like. Rick Devins was barely able to. Like. Get out of that round. With. Aubrey attached to his hip too. Like. It's been two tribal councils. Back to back. Where. He's genuinely been on the bottom.

[00:29:47] And somehow. He's been able to find himself. Just like. Gasping for air. Out of the middle of the ocean. Right. So it's just like. He can't keep getting away with this. And you have to keep targeting him. Because otherwise. He's going to get to the end. And he's going to win this game. If Suri doesn't have anything to say about it. At least. Maybe. But. I don't know. But like. I don't know. I don't know if I could go all the way to say that he's final three bound. Just because he is playing such a great game. And it's probably so terrifying for everybody.

[00:30:18] The fact that he just revealed. His pocket square idol. As he called it. The whole plan of hiding it. And picking it. Like. That whole segment of just Devon's. Is like. Yeah. You should win. So. Let's not keep you in the game. And this idol is definitely going to like. Make them want to. Get him out more. Or even one of his allies. Right. Like one of the allies. Right. Like. Theoretically. We could sit here and be like. Yes. He's a threat now. Right. Like. Lady Lux.

[00:30:48] On a homie side. But we saw what happened in the last episode. Right. Like. Something that's so fucking obvious. They were like. Oh. Let's do something fucking else. Right. Like. Let's get Ozzy out. And look what happened. Look what happened. Isn't it kind of crazy though? Like. Christian was like. Let's get Ozzy out. And then he gets voted out. Like. Jonathan's the first one to say. Let's get Ozzy out. And then he gets like. A whole coalition of people on board. And then. He doesn't even end up going home. It was. It was Stephanie. Like. Not mad about it though.

[00:31:17] That makes sense. Eh. Eh. Group think is one hell of a fucking thing. Let me tell you that. Um. I don't know how that fucking. I think Stephanie. Honestly fucked herself over. Simply by going to Sari. And opening up her mouth when she didn't need to. By. Like fabricating. It's like. I could tell on your fucking face. You're lying. You know. It seems at least. That she's been trying. To find a group of people. That she can really work with. And she has latched herself. Into that mix of like. Like. Sari. And Rizzo. And Rizzo.

Like. Him saying that. Like. When he got back. From the island. That he had a hard time trusting anybody. Even his wife. Because he just felt like.

I think the number was around 42. So like. Like we are like. Just getting out of like. The millennial stage. Into the Gen Z phase. And like. Then. Gen Alpha. They're going to be the next. Like future star. Like Survivor players too. Not that we have anything to say about it. But like. Survivor has to do what they can. To really like. Bring in that next generation of viewers.

[01:01:41] To continue. To make sure that like. Survivor continues to last. Beyond season 50. Like I don't think. Like this is one of all of our favorite shows. I don't think. We want to see this end by any means. So like. Truly like. Yeah. Like Survivor is taking a big. Like leap of faith. By bringing on all of these celebrities. But I do think it has. Like. Some good potential aspects. To come from it too. Oh yeah. For sure. I mean. I mean. I remember hearing about. When early Survivor happened. Like. What. They were treated like. Celebrities. Getting like.

[01:02:11] You know. Paparazzi. Or getting asked about what happens. The show. Like. You just got to watch. Like. Stop harassing me man. But. Yeah. Like. I hope that this does help in a sense. Because like. It should bring fans. More fans into it. Like we want it. I think. I think it will. You know. I think. Rob. As you said. Like. Good for CBS. And producers. And investors. And whoever else is involved. For acknowledging that like. Longevity is important.

And I think it's a very smart move. I know. It got a lot of. Heat. Um. When. We saw like. The whole. Jimmy Fallon. Billy Eilish. Like. Oh. Mr. Beast. He's going to have this whole thing. His whole episode. But.

[01:03:41] Just like the players. The producers are learning. As they're going. And. Um. Try to. Like. Keep up with the times. And keep up with the people. What people have to say. And it's. Working. Yeah. Survivor is a game of taking risks. And that's kind of what production did too. You know. Like. You gotta throw like shit into the wind. And just see. It's like. What sticks. You know. So. I don't know. I'm excited about the direction that Survivor has. I just hope it still stays on the air.

[01:11:40] Because like. Homegirl's learning. And like. Same breath as like. Aubrey. She's. Like that little reflection piece. Uh. Loved it. That little flashback. To. Her losing to Michelle. Like. That sucks. But. She's realizing. And she's learning. And. Um. The show's taking. Us on a journey. With the castaways. And I appreciate that. Um. I could go on and on. About the psychology. Of. Survivor.

[01:12:10] And also. This made me think. Like. What if I was. Like. A psychologist. Or a therapist. For. Like. Returning survivor players. You know. I think CBS. Has a psychologist. Like. On site. [01:13:09] But in the earlier seasons. You just like. The. Most unique. Social experiment on TV. Is Survivor. Um. We don't get that anymore. It is a social experiment. Right. And. Despite. Seasons. And years. Of. People preparing. Or. Um. Yeah. Preparing. You don't know what the fuck you're going to get into. When you. Arrive in Fiji. And you're stranded on a fucking island. So. I mean. Yeah. Rizzo did say.
