I am joined this week with our resident baby boy, Jack Atkins from Season 2 of The Circle, Wendell Holland, winner of Ghost Island, and the current host of ABC Extreme Makeover Home Edition, airing every Thursday night at ABC at 8 p.m. So make sure you support our brother, Wendell, but we are back.

[00:02:21] Jack came up with this idea that we should do a returning player draft. Now, this isn't for Survivor 50. This is just for a returning season. And we each are going to draft six people to our tribe. And we're going to talk about it, why we think we like these people who we think is going to be so much fun. And this is a two-part podcast because next week we are going to have our players that we selected.

[00:02:50] And we're going to do a brand steal to see how this season would play out. So listen, let's get into this week's Survivor News. Survivor News.

[00:03:29] What's going on? What's going on? It's been a long time. We shouldn't have left you without a dope Survivor News returnee draft for you. We are excited to be back for one of our first ever Survivor off-season content that we are giving everybody. We missed you. Wendeezy was popping. How are you? Wendeezy is doing good over here, Bryce. I'm feeling good, feeling great. I got something special in my phone.

[00:03:58] I'm ready for this pod. Yes. Yes. Jackery, how are you doing? We know you're in L.A. We are definitely sending our thoughts, our prayers to anyone that has been affected by those L.A. fires that have devastated families at home, sending our thoughts and prayers. Jack, you are in L.A. How are you doing? I'm good. It's definitely been a hectic, sad couple of weeks. Fortunately, I've been lucky enough that I've been safe.

[00:04:28] I'm in the Westwood area, so things were getting a little dicey when it was creeping into the Brentwood area, which is like a town over. But I'm lucky that myself and my loved ones and friends out here are all doing all right. Thank you for asking. Yeah. Prayers go out to everybody who's been struggling. Much love to all the firefighters and first responders that have been taking care of it. But other than that, yeah, Bryce, I'm good. I'm really excited for this draft that we're doing. Guys. Yeah.

[00:04:57] We're cooking up new ways to keep you guys engaged in the offseason. I think this one's going to be a lot of fun. So I'm very excited, Bryce. Yeah, as am I. Before we get into the particulars of the draft, also, let's throw it back up to Wendeezy. Every Thursday, 8 p.m., Extreme Makeover. How has that been like? I believe the time this episode comes out will probably be gearing up for episode four. But how has that been?

[00:05:26] It's crazy watching the stories unfold on our screens. They're so heartwarming. I love them. I love the... It's funny because every time an episode is on, I'm calling Wendell. And I love how they have Wendell being like, let's get this done. Where's everybody at? I be cracking up. How is Extreme Makeover Home Edition? It's very well received. People are loving it. These are very touching stories.

[00:05:54] And we're doing something extreme. We're building a house in five days. And it's... That was my role, Bryce. I'm the guy that... The construction, the builder, that communicator to America. And if my good friend Arianne pulls up on me and she's like, hey, I'd like to change this linen closet to a bathroom. I'm like, Arianne, we don't got a lot of time. But you're the boss. So let's do it. And we got to make it happen.

Speaking of dream jobs, just like a Survivor News episode, let's talk a little bit. Jackery, over the holidays, you posted some photos of you on the set of this pilot.

[00:07:24] What's the tea with the pilot? Yeah, yeah. It was a lot of fun. I forgot that we haven't really touched base too much. I guess the last time we did the finale recap, I was in the middle of shooting that. So wrap that up right just before the holidays. It was an indie pilot that I was starring in. So we're going to have that edited up. I'm sorry. Wait. The phone cut out a little bit. Indie pilot that what? I was starring in Lee Rose. Yeah, yeah.

[00:07:53] Very excited. I think it was a lot of fun, a lot of work. We were on set for seven out of eight days in a row and a lot of like 12-hour days. Felt like I was on Extreme Makeover Home Edition the way I was on the set. And yeah, so it's going to be edited up by the end of this month.

[00:08:10] And then we're going to be submitting it to festivals, pitching it as a pilot trying to sell either the concept or get some funding to make it into a full series for a streaming service or whatever. Obviously, in the entertainment industry, there's a lot of pitching that goes on and not always a lot of buying. So this is kind of our first foray into that. But I feel really good about how it's going to turn out. So who knows where it'll go.

[00:08:39] But I'm excited to be able to share that at some point with the posse, especially Jack Shack. You said you pitch, Jack? Yeah, we're pitching. Are you a pitcher too, Wendell? When you played baseball, you were the catcher, right? Me or Wendell? Wendell. I never played baseball. Oh, okay.

[00:09:09] But you was the catcher, right? I don't know what you're trying to say right now, but I did take football, basketball, track, soccer. That's it, brother. You was a wide receiver. You were the wide receiver when you played football. You know what, gentlemen? See, I didn't. You know what? Not a tight head. I don't think we're getting into this one, though, but we can't go. We can't go on podcast without Bryce making some innuendos.

[00:09:39] I see. Sorry. Go Birds. How about that? Okay, come on. Go Birds. All right. Let's go. Well, listen. We are here with your off-season Survivor News returnee player. With the looming of season 50 around the corner and everybody is talking about who they want on season 50, I really think, though, that after season 50, I think we're going to get a resurgent of returnee seasons.

[00:10:07] Do you remember a couple of eras ago? I want to say before my era, we kind of got bombarded with returnee season after returnee season after returnee season. And as a community, we kind of was over it, which is why I also think that's why Kageyan is such a fan favorite, because it was the first all new cast that we hadn't had in a while. And so I think the fans were really receptive to it.

[00:10:33] And so we, the baby boys, got together and said, why don't we come up with a draft of returnee players that we would like to see play in the future? Jackery, would you break this down for us so we know what we're doing? Yeah, so there's a lot going on here. We've had this, and I want to give a quick disclaimer. We've had this idea cooking for a minute. I saw recently that the Survivor Specialist podcast also did sort of the same thing.

[00:11:02] This is not us copying them. It's great minds think alike. But I want to say, if you do enjoy what we cook up here, go check out the Survivor Specialist, too, for their draft. Yes. Shout out to. But the concept is, this is going to be a two-parter, guys. So this episode, we're going to draft, we're each going to draft a tribe of six for a returning player season.

[00:11:23] And then the next episode, we're going to do a Brant Steel season simulation with a special guest host and see how this season will play out and give some commentary on what those dynamics might be. But for this episode, for the draft, the way it's going to work is there's going to be six rounds. We're going to figure out our draft order. Each round, we're going to pick a member of our tribe. It's going to be three men and three women.

[00:11:49] And, you know, yeah, we're going to leave it up to you guys at the end to judge which tribe, the Bryce tribe, the Wendell tribe, or the Jack tribe you think is the most exciting. And the criteria, it doesn't have to be, the criteria can be whatever kind of we want it to be. Just a tribe that you think is going to be the most entertaining, full of players that you want to see play again. It could be, you know, people that have played four or five times. It could be people that have played one time. It could be, it could really be whatever. So I'm just excited to see how we get into this.

[00:12:18] The first thing we have to do is determine the draft order. And it's going to be a snake draft, meaning if you have the first pick in the first round, you're going to have the last pick in the second round. And so, yeah, to determine that, we're going to, we're going to throw odds or evens first and then do rock. So on the count of three, basically, all of us either throw a one or a two. And if you're the odd one out, then you're going to be the third pick. And then the other two will do rock purposes or shoot for first and second. What is the odd one?

[00:12:48] Then we do it again. Now, again, strategically, you might not even want the first pick. So this isn't a big deal. It's just going to help us figure out the order in a fair way. So on the count of three, either throw up a one or a two. All right. One, two, three. Wait a minute. No, no, no. Oh, Wendell, you're. I did it on three and you guys did it on. You guys did it.

[00:13:18] I saw mine before I saw either of yours. So I don't know. I had my pizza already up. No, no. Wendell is out. If you guys want to start off cheating. We're going to do rock, paper, scissors, shoot. All right. Okay. Wait. So hold on. Wait. So because I always get in trouble with this. Rock, paper, scissors, shoot. Okay. Okay. All right. Rock, paper, scissors, shoot. Oh, okay. I got paper.

[00:13:48] So I'm first pick. Bryce is second and Wendell is third, which means in the next round, it'll be Wendell, then Bryce, then me, and then it'll flip back and forth. That's what I'm just. I'm just stuck in the middle. So. Okay. So I got the first pick. I'm keeping notes in my notebook. Wait. Okay. Time out. So also, we don't know each other's list, but I'm just speaking to Wendell for a second. Yeah.

[00:14:18] I can. I feel like I already know what Jack's. I already know. I'm just saying. I almost want Jack to leave. I don't know if you do, Bryce. Because I just already know what your list is going to look like. Yep. We'll see. Here's the thing, Bryce. I want to consider. Okay. A, just a general rule, by the way, for the people watching home. Each player can only be picked once. So if you have someone on your list that you like a lot, someone else takes them, can't pick them anymore.

[00:14:48] You got to adjust. Now, for me, of course, I have a lot of personal favorites, but I'm also considering it's the new era. I want a tribe that's diverse. I want a tribe that watching them on screen, I would really get a lot of different personalities. So I'm not, I don't think I'm going to go the way that you guys think I'm going to go. And so to kick things off with my first pick in the draft. I know who he's going to get. I'm thinking Bryce Isaiah.

[00:15:16] And now, look, y'all might think this is some, people might think, oh, you're friends with Bryce. Here's the thing, guys. Bryce, I think Bryce would be so fun on a returning season. Because on his first go around, you didn't get the, you were very entertaining, but didn't get the shine, you know, for long enough that I think you deserved. Since then, you've built such a legacy in the Survivor community. Anyone who's a real Survivor fan knows you and knows your impact on Survivor now.

[00:15:43] So to get you back, there's so much story that I think has been completely untapped. I think you're very, I think you've evolved a lot since Kageyon. So it's almost like we're getting a new player in a sense that I know is going to be so entertaining and really low-key got some strategy too. You know, we talk about it here. And yeah, I just, I know Bryce, he would be a home run on a returning season. And I don't think any child would be complete without a Bryce Isaiah. So that's my number one pick.

[00:16:13] Jackery, that is the first time in life Bryce has been picked first at anything. And I'll stand by it. Honored. That is not what I was expecting at all in the least bit. So that, I will, uh... Let's go! I will take that. I'm like shocked. Okay?

[00:16:43] That's crazy. I am too. That is funny. Shout out to Jack. Jack, you know what? I'm Q's Jack in the comments, okay? I'm blowing my cover. I'm a part of the Jack Shack. So I guess it's my turn now. Um, wow. That kind of... Jack just threw me for a loop, y'all. I was expecting... We all know what you were expecting.

[00:17:11] I was expecting a tall... Man! But I will take that. Um... Okay. I think I know who I'm going to go with. Now, this is a little left, but not really. Um, similarly to Jack, I think we've seen a lot of this new era.

[00:17:37] Uh, there is a new school, old school, new era. I definitely think from these new era seasons we have seen. We've seen players like, uh, Mama Tina. We've seen players like Sue, where this older archetype of a... Archetype of a older woman, um, has been beasting in the game.

[00:18:03] And I definitely think partly due to the initiative, where it is not like they're just singled out. So, I am going to have to take it all the way back to Survivor Africa. And I, on my dream team, I would love a Teresa T-Bird Cooper. I think when we think about Survivor Africa, uh, and you think about... I think it was Lex, when T-Bird put out that vote for Lex.

[00:18:33] And Lex started this witch hunt to figure out who voted for T-Bird. And T-Bird was the last of her Alliance member to make it. And she was out fifth. I definitely think T-Bird is a mama bear. She's a lover. If you watch T-Bird on the Instagram or Twitter, you know, Hey, it's T-Bird! Okay, she is some popcorn and a whole... Like, she is fun, but she's fit.

[00:18:59] And I definitely think, like Dolce said, she not a killer, but don't test her! Uh, I think T-Bird will run a tribe. And so, I, I would love to see T-Bird back. That's my girl. T-Bird's awesome. I'm a little surprised he went with that first round. But, I will say, I like it for a lot of reasons. I love that it's a deep cut. It's old school. It's going to give that old school presence on a season that, you know,

[00:19:29] classic Survivor fans love to see. And she's high energy. And she also feels, like you said, that older woman archetype. She crushes that. And every season has one. And she might be the original right there. So, Bryce, I'm not mad. I'm impressed with the old, with the deep cut. I like it. I like it. You know how I feel if I get the Jack seal of approval. That's like... First, for me, that being a first round pick, a little bit crazy. But it's not a bad person to have on your squad.

[00:19:59] I just think, you know, there might be some people, Bryce, on your list that... We'll see if they get... We'll see if you get them. I don't know. That is the... Jack just gave me the quintessential backhanded compliment. But I'ma take it. It's a compliment nevertheless. We're the last. We're going to get him. And so we're going to Shopify. [00:21:25] I don't know who he's going to go with. I'm going with the originator, okay? Oh, okay. Okay. I'm not going with the T-Mu version, okay? I'm going with the original. I'm going, ladies and gentlemen, our dog, the one and only first-round draft pick, Quintavious. That's my dude.

[00:21:55] That's a good pick. That's the I-hat. No matter who else is on his tribe, that's going to be an entertaining tribe. It's 100% not going to win that season, but... Whoa, now. Hold your horses now. I have a beef with Q. Ooh. He's not here to defend himself, so go right ahead. Well, for some random reason,

[00:22:25] Q thinks that I don't drive, right? Like, I don't like... And I don't know why it annoys me, but like, he's come up with this theory that I don't drive. And now, every time he texts or calls me or I speak to him, I'm like, oh, I'm getting ready to go somewhere. He's like, you taking an Uber? I'm like, Q, I have my driver's license. He's like, no, you don't. No, you don't. I'm like, why don't you think that I drive, Q? He's like, every time I see you,

[00:22:55] Wendell's was driving. Okay. And every time you see me with Wendell, Wendell gonna be driving. Okay? Why would a superstar not have a driver? Man, why would his number one overall pick not have a driver? Okay. So, just so we could confirm, Jack, when of the last time you was in Philly, we went somewhere. Did I not scoop you from your hotel?

[00:23:25] I don't know. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, you did. You did, you did, you did. But whenever you are with Wendell, Wendell is driving, but. But here, and, but here's another thing. Whenever we take road trips, Wendell does the least amount of driving. Well, because what? Hatch is driving probably. No, it's between me. It's between me and Hatch will do the bulk of the driving. But anyway, I don't. Hey, Jack, I think, I think the rule is,

[00:23:54] if you provide the car, then you get to drive the least. It's fair. Anyways, I think Q is a great pick. I think he was great. Yeah. I, I just, I worry for you because Q is a Q and you just don't know which way he's going to tick. But yeah, but I'm not thinking about drafting people that I think are going to win. And I'm just like, what's the most entertaining season?

[00:24:20] What's the most entertaining job I can assemble it and Q, you know, it's a home run. So yeah. And how are you going to follow this pick up? With it? I can do. There's a lot that I can do. There's a lot that I can do. And there are some real strategists, real gamers that I want, that I hope you guys don't pick.

[00:24:45] So, but this person, great player, challenge beast, strategist, brilliant, a little older, Bryce, probably your age. Um, you're older than me. This person is an incredible person. So strong and probably almost kind of like a deep cut. Someone you wouldn't, you wouldn't think I'd pick second.

[00:25:14] I'm going with Chrissy Hoffback. Oh, put Chrissy on a tribe with Q. I'm here. Uh, I love Chrissy. Chrissy. She's a survivor in the physical form and in the mental form. I think on her original season, she was great.

[00:25:41] I also love Chrissy cause I feel like she's nice and cheery, but I feel like Chrissy could gather a couple of holes if she needed. Oh, she, and she was as close as it gets to winning that game. Yeah. I like Chrissy. I like Chrissy. Chrissy's a strong player. Yeah. I like Chrissy. Bryce Isaiah. Okay. Well, I think I will.

[00:26:08] Um, I'll go with someone that I think played a great game during their season. I feel like here's the thing for me, right? When we are watching survivor, right? Uh, we're just going off of what we know of what we're seeing on the screen.

[00:26:33] Uh, then because we are blessed to be in this community, uh, we get to know the survivors outside of the community. And as we get to learn more about them, things maybe make a lot more sense that maybe would not have made sense on the screen. And I think that that plays heavily into my decisions for thinking about some of the people that I would want to see back on a season.

[00:27:00] Uh, this next person practically made it to the end and fumbled a little bit. However, I think throughout the game, they were dominant. They had a couple of meltdowns during their season. However, they were very much aware of what's going on. Uh, they recently came out as queer. They are a doctor. They are currently in the city of brotherly love. I am going for my good brother, Dr. Deshawn.

[00:27:30] I believe his last name is Radden. I think Deshawn played an excellent game. I feel like there was times during the season. I'm like, what is Deshawn doing? Thank God he had a Danny McCray calming him down and bringing him back to life. But I think that Deshawn played a great game. And I really do feel like towards the end of his season, if he would have held it together a little bit at that final tribal, I think things could have maybe would have been different.

[00:27:53] So I'm I got to put my good brother, Dr. Deshawn as my second hitter coming out of the Survivor News returning player draft. Like what's up, Deshawn? I like that pick. Solid. I think there's some new era guys that might be. I think there's some new era guys that might be a step above, but I'm not mad at the Deshawn pick, especially. Well, who would be a step above?

[00:28:23] Well, I don't want to give away some of my potential picks, but no, Deshawn had a great game. And also his story after this season is really fascinating. So to see him back would be like really cool. So I'm not, I'm not mad at that. I'm not mad at that. I will say I wasn't expected. Like again, two solid picks. Wasn't expecting the T-bird Deshawn coming out, but I'm not, I'm not mad at it now. Okay. I got back to back picks now, right? Yeah. Some of my people.

[00:28:51] I just don't wait until time out because I'm now I'm starting to get a little pissed off. So this snake, it seemed like Wendell was the loser, but for real, for real, I'm really the loser. No, but you'll be second in every round. So you like, wait, once it went back to back, but now he doesn't get a pick for four more picks, but you never have to go more than two picks without pick. It's fine, Bryce. You're the loser. I'll just keep my tight end. Okay.

[00:29:20] I got to figure out what I want to do here. Go, go Jack. Give us what we want. It's not going to be what you expect. Jack, give us what we want. We're not taking your people. We will not take them. I'm also thinking about my order though. No, I just, in my mind, I just, and we, we have, we took a strict cold. We don't know these people who everyone is picking, but I just feel like in my mind.

[00:29:48] And if you've been watching Survivor news as long as us, I just know. Give me, give me a chance. That's the last pick. Yeah. But you threw me for a loop. Yeah. I'm honored. Give me a chance to prove you right before you keep backing on it. Okay. I mean, this player. Sam.

[00:30:19] How'd you know? This player is one of a kind. There's never been anyone else like him in Survivor. Always entertaining, incredible narrator, great strategist. First, I am going from Survivor, David versus Goliath, Christian and Vicky. Oh, man, you know that's a good pick. Wait, time out though.

[00:30:49] The way Wendell just said, oh, did you get, did, did you just get sniped? No, I didn't get sniped. He slipped my mind. He's a great pick. He is. He's so strong and so smart. He is an absolute great pick. I think of him. Who is his predatory? Uh, Cochran? I don't know. Yes. I think Christian is an advanced version of like a, um, Carson.

[00:31:18] I think Christian is, you take Carson and let him grow and get stronger and get smarter. And he's young. He's, you know, you know what? Getting a little taller. No, man. He's young, man. That's what all I'm saying is. He is a Carson meets a Cochran. And I really feel like with the Cochran arc of Cochran coming back the second time and winning, I feel like that could be Christian.

[00:31:45] I mean, yeah, to me, like I love a Cochran, but no one compares to Christian. So I, it's for me, it's, he's one of a kind, great player. So entertaining. And I had to throw him in with Bryce Isaiah and get them on the same tribe, see how that goes. Um, okay. Now I have my first pick of the third round and I want to bring it over to the ladies. And I feel like y'all cheating. All right, go ahead. No, no, no, no, no, no.

[00:32:14] Um, I want to bring it over to the ladies. I'm, I'm in a conundrum because I've got a solid like five or six ladies that I've got up at the top. And I don't really know how I want to, like, I don't really know my rankings for them. So I, I'm, I'm, I really got to like, look at my list right now. I forgot who I want to add to the squad. Um, okay. I'm going to go.

[00:32:36] This is the only, um, player I have on either my men or women list that's played more than one season of survivor. And I think it would be good to have someone that has played more than one season. If we're doing a returning season, it's not a second chances necessarily. Right. So, um, this is a new school legend, uh, which I think would be a great presence to have on a new record. Returning player season.

[00:33:03] Cause for me, we've seen a lot of the old school legends, like winners at war was sort of the culmination for a lot of them. Um, but let me get a new school legend in Kelly Wentworth. Oh, a new school legend. She, she's definitely new school, not new era, but she's new school. Yeah. Okay. Listen, you know, I'm an original Kelly Wentworth Stan.

[00:33:27] Love queen Kelly, the air of farm guy, 69 Dale Wentworth. Wentworth. Uh, I think, yeah, I love Kelly. The only thing that I worry that I would work and I don't even, ain't nobody asking me, but I'm gonna just tell y'all. The only thing that worries me about Kelly on a returning season is that her name. Proceeds her or receives. What's how you, what's the. Proceeds. Proceeds her right.

[00:33:56] Where it's like, I think she would have a hard time, uh, making inroads with people because she just is so great. But. Well, I mean, I don't know. I think she'd be fine. [00:36:15] And I like to say my own self, I helped her win the challenge USA season two, and I'm real, real big. And I'm going real, real big on my girl. One of my closest friends, Desi Williams, heroes, healer hustlers. I feel like Desi has proven herself. Okay. Yeah. And I said proven herself because she was a beast.

[00:36:43] And I recently was watching some of her season again, cause I wanted to see Joe Minna cause Joe Minna just crazy. And Joe Minna don't make sense in real life and watching that season. Some of Joe Minna's moves on heroes, heroes hustlers is real questionable. However, I feel like Joe kind of screwed Desi and we didn't really get to see the potential of Desi.

[00:37:05] However, I feel like full circle moment, her coming back to challenge USA, seeing her heart break the first time with Enzo and having that redemption story of her coming back and then winning with my man. One of my original men's Chris Underwood. Yeah. I'm real, I'm real big on Dr. Desi Williams. Strong thing. Yeah. I can see her coming back and dominating.

[00:37:35] Cause she didn't get the full, the full burn on heroes, heroes, hustlers, but she's a triple threat. So yeah. Not mad at it. All right. And then my next round pick. No, it's. How y'all, how do y'all get to go twice? It's. You, you, you already have. It's just. Yeah. Okay. And sometimes a snake in the middle will. I just feel like it's real. And for my next pick. This is one of the strategists that have been laying low. This player. What can I say?

[00:41:01] This player is one of the greatest to play the game. This player is one of the greatest to not win the game. This is one of those players. I didn't want you guys to steal. And I feel like the glue to that trio. Was liquid Ken. Ken Hong. I feel like Ken was a strategist. I feel like Ken was dealt.

[00:45:50] Not a great card. However, Ken held it together. When it was time to win individual immunity challenges. Ken stepped up to the plate. I feel like. In a new season of survivor. Ken would kill. And I am all in for liquid kid. Sure. I love the deep cuts. I just don't.

[00:46:19] There's a lot of heavy hitters. You're leaving on the table. Right. He said. Yeah, but I don't. I don't. I don't hate it. I mean, it's. Like your tribe would be very interesting to watch. And it would be weird to see like who would emerge. Because in a way, like leaving off some of the most obvious picks. Like the obvious picks, you know, you're getting kind of, you know, kind of what you're going to get with these ones. It's like, what would it?

[00:46:45] What would a T-Bird Ken and Desi Alliance look like? You know, like it would. It would leave a lot. There would be a lot of intrigue. I don't know if you're going to win the rat. Okay. Here's what I'll do. I'll make my pick and then we'll all have four. And I'll give a quick recap where we're at. And then I'll follow up with the next one and bring us in a round of thought. [00:48:11] Um, now I think after her saw move, her edit was a little up and down, but she was always bringing. So something about her, whether it was in her confessional or when she was having conversations in the game, just had you like on the edge of your seat. Like she could be talking about the most mundane thing and you're just tuned in. So, um, I would be very, if there's ever, uh, you know, the poverty comparisons are always for anyone are always frequent.

[00:48:39] But I think if there's ever a new school poverty comparison, I think it would be Genevieve. And I think after the saw move that she made, uh, her game got thrown in a bit of a blender, um, which we saw her kind of scrapping her way out of. But I think on a new season, you know, I would be interested to see how she plays from, from top or, or, you know, any sort of position in the game, uh, see her with some different people.

[00:49:06] Uh, and she's obviously very strategic and willing to be cut throw. And I would reckon that, you know, we saw her grappling with that during the season. I I'd reckon that, you know, conversations after the season, uh, watching it back, you know, I don't know for sure, but I feel like she probably has grappled with it and would be ready to go back in and play hard and feel less guilty about that. So I think we'd see a really good showing from Genevieve. Yeah, I would love to, I actually kind of get scared because, uh,

[00:49:35] I love Genevieve, but knowing Genevieve and Kelly would be on the same team, you know, Genevieve gonna keep her day one. And it's like, I wonder how that like, that's it. I mean, my mouth is kind of salivating at that because like, did I not say it right? Salivating? Salivating. Salivating. Salivating.

[00:50:00] My mouth is salivating at that because I feel like Genevieve gonna want to play nice, but we know Genevieve is a killer. And oh, that. You ain't a killer, but don't push me. [00:55:47] And also just a player where, you know, building out a returning player season, it's not always going to be those old school legends or those really recent players. So I think having someone from that, you know, that, that new school, but not necessarily new era, a one-time player that a lot of people want to see back would be exciting. And I'd be really interested to see how Sydney operated. Cause I think in Co-Rom, she was never necessarily like really in the driver's seat, but she was

[00:56:16] always maneuvering quite well. So I think seeing her in some different circumstances would be really interesting how she would play from being at the top or playing at the bottom. And I also think she could have a very interesting dynamic with a Kelly and a Genevieve two, like three kind of alpha women, but I think they all play the game a little bit different. So yeah, I'm going to go with Sydney. That's the wrong, strong pick. Great pick, Jack.

[00:56:44] And I don't, she's smart too. She's smart too. I just remember how, what I remember of Sydney is being like wanting to play and wanting to win and like not really having time for the BS. And again, I think of like Genevieve will be going crazy out there. Cause like Genevieve will see a Sydney and a Kelly. Yeah, that's crazy.

[00:59:27] I think with Hunter knowing how the game operates now, I think Hunter will come back and kill it. And I've had the opportunity to get to know Hunter since his past season. And Hunter is relatable. He is funny as all. Get out. We were at a screening together and me and Hunter was just cracking up the whole time just at different stuff. But he knows the game of survivor.

[00:59:57] Uh, he's loyal. He's strong. I feel like Hunter, a second go at it, Hunter gonna be a little problem. And I feel like it kind of really rounds out my tribe with having Ken, Deshaun, and a Hunter. I really feel like that's like... The three of the greatest players ever. Yeah. I mean, we don't do these albums anymore.

[01:00:25] Uh, we won't say this person, but it's giving like, you know, Jay-Z, best of both worlds. Like, you know, I'm just saying like... We would kill it. Smart. Somebody get hurt. Deshaun could fix you up. Hunter could get a chair. Liquid Ken is gonna be the strategist. Like, yeah, I'm not mad at him. It's an interesting trio, for sure. I'm not... I don't hate it. Lauren's a good pick. She's another triple threat. Yeah. And she was like 20 or 21 on her first season. And now she's, you know, uh, gotten older and changed a lot. So I didn't know how to say that.

[01:02:53] She's been in the community and she's been studying the game more. Yeah. But again, like, you're right. With the younger... With the people that played first when they were young, there's so much change that happens after that, where it's almost like, to my point when I picked Bryce, is like, not... You're kind of getting a new player in a way, too. So it's like a classic, but it's like a new spin on an old classic. Uh, and you're not really sure what to expect. So, um, yeah. Not mad at that pick. Mm-hmm. And for my last pick,

[01:03:24] this player could be, uh, for sure, one of the smarter players to play the game. So great at explaining their feelings and being able to talk to people and talk people through things. However, in real life, being around this person, seeing their dynamic energy, just seeing how down to earth, how cool this person is, I know if they would have got past that first boot, they would have killed it. [01:06:21] is, you know, just, and I say this all the time, Survivor is a game of strategy and it's a game of luck. Luck just was not on Maddie's side on her tribe. However, I am so confident that if Maddie were to get another chance, Maddie would smock the floor and her social ability alone. Good pick. Maddie is awesome. Like, socially, like, she's just so cool.

[01:06:51] Put her in any atmosphere, she is just mad cool. Yeah. No, Maddie's great. Again, the thing I'm, Bryce, your picks are a little wild, but the thing that I do like is that your whole tribe, there's not any, like, and I mean this, like, not like a bona fide all-star, and so they're all sort of on the same playing field where I don't have any idea what would happen on that tribe. I also loved how Devin, he's a great combo, like very athletic, chill guy. He reminds me a lot of what I would hope that I could play like once in a while being a very cool down-to-earth guy, but also very smart and strategic and strategic in a way that was very underrated. And he also, I loved his relationship with like Ryan where he,

I just know he'd be able to work with people that people wouldn't expect him to work with and he's just very underrated, very chill, sneakily strategic and another sort of player that we haven't been able to see in a while that I would love to have back and just a personal favorite of mine that I would,

[01:10:48] you know, be rooting for. So, so I gotta, I gotta add in a Devin to really carry the, carry the weight there. Jack, not too much. Christian's a challenge threat. I'm playing, I'm playing, but Christian's a puzzle, puzzle player, but Devin, you know, I mean, if it's legs of a runner, we got Bryce for some cardio.

[01:11:18] What if we do straight? I don't know what that is, Jack, so I'm not sure what you're referring to, but I'm athletic. I would kill it. Also, I love Devin. I was just kidding, but yeah. I love Devin and he also was a zaddy on the first of Bryce Isaiah zaddy calendar ever. So shout out to Devin. Yeah. And I'm also just saying, Bryce, I gotta have someone to match up with Hunter and with Jamal. So I don't know if you wanted,

[01:11:48] I don't know if you wanted to, well, I know you'd get physical with him, but I don't know. I'm wide open. When Jack said he saw himself in Devin, I thought, I thought, I thought it was Christian. I thought when, when Jack picked Christian, he was like, oh, that guy's like me, but no, it's Devin. Damn. All right. It's that, you know, Jack's mirror is a little dirty. So the reflection, just, you know.

[01:12:17] I'm not saying appearance wise, I'm not saying appearance wise, but also I know Devin, you know, I think he got married and had a kid since he was on the show. So it would be interesting to see how now he, you know, his first time he was probably 25, 26. Now he's like a 30 something year old father too. So I think that would be very interesting. I'd love to pull up the graph, the final graphic to go over. And then I'd also love to do some honorable mentions that we players we had on our list that we, that did not get picked. Um, but the final breakdown,

[01:12:47] um, Bryce's tribe is T-bird, Deshaun, Desi, Ken, Hunter, and Maddie. Wendell's tribe is Q, Chrissy, Shan, Dom, Lauren O'Connell, and Jamal Shipman. And then my tribe is Bryce, Christian, Kelly Wentworth, Genevieve, Sydney, and Devin. Uh, again, the graphics are looking absolutely killer, um, for this quick turnaround. It's crazy. Cause this, I really feel like this season that we just,

[01:13:17] it could be brain, brown, beauty again, like your tribe, Wendell is the brawn. I feel like the purple tribe that I picked is the brain and I'm on the beauty tribe again. Yeah. Yeah. I like it. Um, and then, yeah, so I'd love to just go kick it to each of you and just give me the, the, the three to four, you know, each guys and girls on your list that might, that you might've had

[01:13:46] in the, uh, in the queue that you would've liked to pick that did not get picked that you think would be, would be a great alternate or whatever for this season. Well, let me go first and drop my two. Yeah. Thank you. Um, now mind you, again, I just was picking people. I wanted to see back. I wasn't in my mind making a tribe, but I also had, uh,

[01:14:14] from Survivor season 43, the third boot, Helen Lee, right? Uh, she kind of was, when we think of Helen, we think of the Tinka three, the Tinka three really got formed on her vote out. Carson did Helen dirty and kind of didn't side with Helen. I really feel like knowing Helen outside of the game, she is great. And if she would have survived that vote, it just makes me wonder what the Tinka three could've,

[01:14:43] would've looked like. So, I had Helen down on mine. I also had my girl, Kendra, from season 44. I felt like Kendra was amazing. She was fun. She was quirky. So yeah, season 45. But she knew the game. She was personable. Uh, she just had good energy, good juju. So I was, you know, rooting for my girl, Kendra, as well. Um, do you want me to stop there?

[01:15:13] You want me to give you my other two? Give the other two. Yeah, whatever, whatever you had. Okay. Uh, now this other one was another deep cut. Uh, back, back, back, back in the day. But in my opinion, if somebody can put Boston Rob on his original season in his place, if that, they're a legend and I have an affinity for John Carroll, who is my survivor gay dad.

[01:15:42] I love John. He has embraced me into his family. John was just at one of our events. John looks good. I don't even know how old John is and I don't care because John looked good. He's ready to play. He is strategic. He's funny. He was earlier on in the season, like during his season, like I don't even know if he was really even out during that time where people didn't even know that he was a part of the LGBTQ plus community.

[01:16:11] John is a lawyer. He is smart. He would kill it. Uh, and so I love John. My other pick is, you know, I gotta show love to my early boots. Uh, my good brother, Darnell Hamilton, uh, during season, uh, he has transformed himself into, uh, body builder. I think that Darnell is funny. He's physical. He's loyal. Uh,

[01:16:41] sometimes they say, you know, is luck. In Darnell's case, I'm not sure if it was luck to him going out. He just, you know, however, I think Darnell would be a great addition to a new tribe. And I definitely think that, uh, like with Francesca Hoagie, they brought back a first boot. I think Darnell would be prime picking for a first boot to come back. And I think, you know, Darnell has an ax to grind and I think he would be great. Wendell,

[01:17:11] what about you? All right. Good picks. Well, I'll start out with, uh, another strategist, a gentleman from the early new era by the name of Omer. Oh. Omer's a good one. It's great pick. I also had on my list, I had, I had a bunch of dudes, so I'll go with, uh, I'll go with the guys first. I had from another one from here's Hillers, hustlers. Bryce mentioned

[01:17:40] this gentleman earlier. Um, might've tank Desi's game a little bit. Our good friend, Joe Mena, the chaotic man that he is. He's hilarious. He, uh, he's doing a lot of ice baths, working out a lot nowadays. Joe Mena would be great to see back out there. Um, I had, I got three more guys. Okay. Tevin. We said, oh, yes.

[01:18:11] Tevin. Tevin is great. Bryce Isaiah, not Bryce Isaiah, like walk stumbled so that Tevin can fly. Tevin is great. Um, next person, another ghost Islander. One of the greatest characters, one of the greatest characters to ever come out. Noble. You already know. Chris. Wait, first of all, why does he look like that?

[01:18:41] I remember Chris looking good and he does look good, but it's the, it's the shirt, shorts combo. Yeah, I was going to say this would not pass the, it's the look. It would not. It was just like, here, wear this. He was like, you guys pick it up. And the last person I'm going to name should be at the top of everyone's list. Um, this dude, great player, great character, hilarious, created his own archetype. Um, this guy is

[01:19:10] the OG. You'll see him flying in on his cape. The OG blurred himself. Our good, good brother from David Goliath Davey. Yes. Could have won the game. He was like one immunity win away from winning the game. This man, that's, that's my brother for real. So those are my guys. And, um, I have one, one lady left and that was because you took Genevieve Jack.

[01:19:40] So the other person that I want to see come back is Tiana from last season. Oh, yeah. Tiana, I think was strong and I think, I think she learned a lot and think she was gone kind of ahead of her time, but I think she could play the game for sure. Okay. I've got, a handful too. Um, I'm gonna start, I have five guys and three women. Um, what I'm confused at is like how y'all had

[01:20:09] so many and the rule in the message was five, five women, five men. I wanted options so I could shape my team. So that sounds cheating, but okay. Well, I still gotta give them a shout too. So I'll start with the women. Uh, I have two ladies from Survivor 45. Uh, the first of which is D. Um, she was what I was considering picking, but once I had Kelly and Genevieve, I thought they'd all just be bringing almost like too much, uh,

[01:20:39] game to it. Um, but a great player, really funny. Um, so I thought D would be great. I was worried about, you know, I didn't necessarily want to pick a winner. Um, cause a lot of returning seasons when there's like one or two winners, they get picked off pretty early. Uh, I also have from Survivor 45, Emily Flippen. That's who I had pointed out somewhat fit that, uh, not Christian Hibiki archetype. Um, but Emily's great. Would love to see her on a returning season. And then my last pick

[01:21:09] is a little bit more, maybe, maybe not, not as recent. Um, my last pick amongst the women is Victoria Bamonde from Edge of Extinction. She's a killer. She's a killer. Uh, a wolf in sheep's clothing. Uh, really snarky and funny and was not afraid to make moves and stab people in the back, which I love to watch. So, um, those were the ladies I had, I had in my consideration. Whenever I think of Victoria,

[01:21:39] though, I always think of, like, during her season, I wanted to know what her hat smelled like so bad. Like, I just wanted to know. And I don't think I've ever really even asked her that. I'm gonna have to text her that. I want to know what that hat smelled. I'm like, Bryce, what's your hat smell? It smells pretty good. And then, amongst the men, I think it's a crime that some of them didn't get picked. I wish I could have picked them. Oh, Jay!

[01:22:09] You guys have been giving me shit the whole time, but if you look at my list, I know you guys were not in shit. No, the ones that I think were the most criminal not to pick were people that like, it's not even, like, first and foremost, Jesse Lopez. The fact that he was not drafted to me is crazy. Like, he would, to me, if I just had to pick an objective, like, top first round pick, it would be Jesse Lopez.

[01:22:39] I knew I needed a Bryce Isaiah, I knew I wanted a Christian Gabicki and that left me with one spot and I just had to go for a personal favorite with Devin. But there's so many guys that could have fit that. Jack, in the future, you do have my permission to... No, no, I'm going to win the draft. And Jesse is probably the scariest man on any island going forward. Everyone says that, like, I, I, here's the thing, I love Jesse and mind you, he's a smart,

[01:23:09] but everyone always says that and I think that if Jesse were to ever play again, like, that's going to be a problem. It's going to be like Tony on the Traders. Like, because it's like... I don't know, I can see Jesse, I mean, he's definitely a threat but he's also, I think, when you see him in person, he's very calming and a good presence. 5'2". And, you know, I was... Him and Rome are the same height. That's like, when y'all say he's so threatened and I'd be like, hey,

[01:23:39] just like, I don't see it. Obviously, everyone knows, you know, Jesse betrayed Cody but other than that, for the most part, Jesse was very, like, loyal. So to me, like, I can respect someone who makes a move at the end for their betterment of their game but Jesse was a very sensible guy. So if I was with Jesse on a pre-merged tribe, I wouldn't have any hesitation locking in with him because I think he's a smart player. He gets a good alliance early. He'll ride with that until the wheels fall off at the end

[01:24:08] but it's not... I'd rather align with a Jesse who's a pretty sound strategic player than align with, like, a lot of people on Wendell's tribe. Bull prediction? Bull prediction about Jesse. We will see him back on the island. He's going to get done like Tony was done Tony's second season. I don't think that. I don't think that. Jesse is pre-merged when we see him again. I don't think that.

[01:24:37] I don't want it to happen but he's too scary. Sorry. Now, even in that situation, it would be interesting to see Jesse because Jesse was never really on the bottom, right? Like, he went home from fire making. Nothing he could really do about that other than the fire itself. It would be interesting to see Jesse put in a situation early on where he's on the outs and see the lengths that he goes to and the scrambling that he can do to get out of that. I think that would be, even if he goes home early, would be really interesting to see how that plays out.

[01:25:07] Another person I had who to me is an absolute home run was very tempted to pick them. Also from Survivor Edge of Extinction, Rick Devins. Cousin Ricky. That's our guy. Rick's so entertaining. Again, no one else that's really like him plays hard, so funny, such a great narrator. Would absolutely love to see Rick on another season. I would, I will never forget

[01:25:37] the way Rick aired, them, MF is out that tribal. Oh, you're going to embarrass me? My kids are watching at home. Yeah, he loved the dramatics, but it was always, like, he wasn't doing too much, if that makes sense. It wasn't like, for his own sake, it was for the sake of good television, and that always played out well. My next two are two that are a big, you know, personal friends of mine,

[01:26:07] personal bias. You know, I think these are the guys you thought I was going to go with, but they're great players, and they absolutely deserve to be on a returning season, so I got to shout out my guy, Xander. Hey! Hey! Listen, first of all, Xander, I know this is your pick, but let me talk for a second. Xander needs to just come back for the evolution of mother effing Xander Hastings, okay? Because Xander looked good then,

[01:26:36] now Xander be with Joseph from Big Brother working out with the short haircut, whoo! My panties is melting off thinking about Xander, and it's like, Xander just looks so damn good, and not only that, he looks so good, he's so nice. I mean, he is so nice. Like, when me, when me, when me and Xander text, it's like, paragraph,

[01:27:07] paragraph, like, we send novels. I love Xander, just for his evolution alone. Xander went from Jack, Frat, to Joaquin Phoenix. Xander went from the Jack Shack. Why am I, why am I the bad story? Xander went from the Jack Shack to a Big Mac. Okay?

[01:27:38] Xander went from the Jack Army to the Navy. Xander, Xander, just Xander, like, his evolution alone. Oh, and I just like, okay, sorry, I don't say it about Xander, but like, I just like how, like, he don't say a lot. You watch him at parties, his hands will be in the pocket, he'll be like,

[01:28:08] yeah. That was the best contribution to Survivor you have ever given us, Jack. Okay? And I long for the days during quarantine, when you quarantined with Xander, and I will call you on FaceTime, and Xander will be there, and that's how our love affair started. Yeah. Can we move on? I honestly, I probably should have just picked him, but. We know you wanted to.

[01:28:38] But yeah, again, like, to speak to myself, A, another player, he played, he was 20 the first time he played, now he's 24, if he played again, he might be 25, 26, he's definitely changed a lot. And as someone who knows him personally, I know there was layers to his strategy that weren't shown, I think, as much in the show. He's a great strategic player, so seeing him go out there, but also, like you said, very chill guy, very social, very thoughtful, can really get along with anybody,

[01:29:08] so I think he would bring a lot to the table. And then also, I'm just, I'm very confused, because after Survivor 41, I know with the online communities, he wasn't always, like, their favorite, but if you look at just the general public of Survivor watchers, whether that's on the Survivor Instagram comments, the Facebook comments, whatever, the average viewer loved Xander. Like, after he lost, everyone was like, Xander should've won, Xander should've won, Xander should've won. And I'm not saying he should or shouldn't have,

[01:29:38] but he was far and away, I think, the fan favorite of Survivor 41, and I feel like that narrative has sort of disappeared a little bit just with time, but I absolutely think if you put him back out that he would smash it, and... I got something, never mind. He would kill it, and he would be a great addition to any season, so I would love to see Xander out there. Absolutely. And then my other pick that's a little more personal, but again,

[01:30:07] a phenomenal player, arguably should've won their season. I'm going with Charlie Davis as another player. Oh! Come on with the Charlie! Yeah, yeah, great social player, great physical player, excellent strategist.

[01:30:37] He'd be a superstar on another season, and I hope we get to see him, because I think he's a top-tier candidate right now in general. And then my last honorable mention, I hope you have the graphic for that. I think I included him. This is a deep cut, but this is an old-school personal favorite from Bryce's favorite season, Survivor Gabon. It's Matty Whitmore. Ah! There we go. Like, yeah, he was only on the one season, always so funny, like,

[01:31:06] just a great spirit, played hard, just had really good down-to-earth vibes. Like, I just remember watching Gabon for the first time and just thought Matty was super chill, and kind of for the similar reasons that I picked Devin, and I thought Matty was super fun, and I don't even know where Matty's at now. I don't know if anyone's heard from Matty in like 10 years, so seeing him back on the island when the game's kind of completely changed from a Gabon type of situation would just be

[01:31:35] so fascinating to watch. Like, if there's any player you could tell me that, like, would be on the season that I haven't heard about in a long time, and I'd be like, oh, I really want to tune in and watch, it would be a Matty Whitmore for me. So, those are all my honorable mentions. I'm sorry I had so many, but I felt like they all deserved a little shout out. Love it. Yes, shout out to the honorable mentions. Well, there you have it.
