[00:05:21] of season 36. I do know Brooke was in Brooklyn. Tell us about the finale party.

[00:05:29] So sorry you miss it. It was so much fun. So I are playing with Jelani from season 26.

[00:05:36] Shout out to Jelani. We love you. And it's like 20 minutes from my apartment. Right.

[00:05:40] So we got on the train at eight fifteen and we're like, we're going to have an

[00:05:43] hour to hang out with everybody. I told you I'd send you some videos we get.

[00:05:47] We have like a full on amazing race experience because we get to the L train as the doors are

[00:05:51] closing and then the doors pop open as they do sometimes. And we're like, yes. So we hopped

[00:05:56] on the train like this is perfect. And then we stood there and then like six trains going

[00:06:01] the other way pass by. This is no joke. I'm not even exaggerating. And we stood there.

[00:06:05] And finally, a conductor came to each car because the system wasn't really working.

[00:06:09] It's like there is a track fire at Canarsie, Brooklyn. We don't know when we're moving.

[00:06:14] And we've already wasted a half an hour. It is now like eight fifty.

[00:06:17] So we run out of the subway and we find ourselves a cab.

[00:06:20] And the cab driver is alerted to the gas pedal. We took so long to get there.

[00:06:25] We rolled it in nine twenty seven. I'm like here, keep the change.

[00:06:29] I'm like throwing money in a respectful way. Thank you so much to the cab driver.

[00:06:33] Also, he didn't know where he was going. So I had to give you terms of my.

[00:06:36] He definitely was on his season.

[00:06:37] Yeah, I was like, I'm really on this.

[00:06:39] Please go to the Manhattan Bridge and go this way.

[00:06:41] He's like, I don't know how to get there. And I'm like, OK,

[00:06:44] so we're giving him turn by turn directions. We hop out. We run in.

[00:06:47] We get to say hi to like people quickly.

[00:06:50] And then the show starts. But anyway, so highlights for me, Derek and Shalisa, who

[00:06:57] definitely were not like fans previously of the show because she was like, oh, my God, Derek,

[00:07:02] she was on the show. They were so nice and gorgeous.

[00:07:06] And there is Danny and Angie, who I am so happy to have met them in person.

[00:07:11] They are just as nice, if not nicer in person.

[00:07:14] And shout out to Danny with like the cool facial hair and the online.

[00:07:18] I'm only used to seeing him in like a team walla walla shirt.

[00:07:21] And so we hung out. I saw like he's great.

[00:07:25] Reason four hundred seventy two. Why I love Danny.

[00:07:28] He was like so inclusive and so wonderful and just so kind.

[00:07:31] Angie was asking about you and she asked me to please give you a hug.

[00:07:34] So next time I see you, I will give you a hug from Angie.

[00:07:38] Shout out. She looks great. She looks amazing.

[00:07:41] Gorgeous like gorgeous dress.

[00:07:44] I'm 34. Why love Angie in this photo?

[00:07:46] Angie is giving life and she is feeding the children.

[00:07:50] We love Angie. Danny look nice, too.

[00:07:52] But Mama Angie is looking delicious.

[00:07:55] She made some comment like this is the second time I've worn a dress

[00:07:58] in like a very long time. I just she looked gorgeous.

[00:08:01] And then I saw one and Shane who I other than so I walk up to one and Shane and go,

[00:08:07] OK, so you guys want right? Because in true fashion of last year

[00:08:10] when Greg and John were all dapper in their suits, these two gorgeous bozos showed up

[00:08:15] in tuxedos and I'm like, well, they must have won because they really dressed up

[00:08:20] really, really. They cleaned up nicely and their wives were gorgeous and they were so

[00:08:25] lovely and just as fun in real life as you saw in the race.

[00:08:28] So I really like it when people are just as nice or nicer than they were on TV.

[00:08:33] And we got Bailey, who we sent her a little video and Bailey's like,

[00:08:37] dude, you're right. I would have been good at everything.

[00:08:40] Oh, I told you I can't make it up.

[00:08:44] I could see it in the twins. I know.

[00:08:46] And then we got to see Rod and Letitia.

[00:08:50] Rod was smiling just like on the show. She was so nice.

[00:08:53] I got to finally hug Karishma, which was great.

[00:08:56] I saw her and she like jumped up and you were right.

[00:09:00] She said you met her, which I knew.

[00:09:02] And she she was so lovely.

[00:09:05] And it got to be Vinnie and Amber.

[00:09:07] They were great. Vinnie was so kind like he was just he was actually really,

[00:09:11] really, really nice. I think he got a bad at it in person.

[00:09:14] He was lovely and kind.

[00:09:16] So and then obviously the ones I knew I'd already met Ricky and Cesar.

[00:09:19] So I knew they were amazing, but it was very, very cool.

[00:09:22] Every team was there except for Sonny and busy.

[00:09:25] And it was great to not know how it ended.

[00:09:29] The only problem is it was hard to hear.

[00:09:31] So I had to come home at like two in the morning and rewatch it.

[00:09:34] Girl, if you heard it, you would have went home and watched it four in the morning.

[00:09:38] Well, I mean, I would have watched it anyway,

[00:09:40] but I had a couple of things that happened that I will tell you about

[00:09:43] that you're going to laugh about because I had like two legitimate

[00:09:46] faux pas over the course of my life.

[00:09:50] So we'll get there, but it's funny.

[00:09:51] Yeah, the party was awesome.

[00:09:53] Everybody was great and I wish we could do it again,

[00:09:56] but it's going to be like a solid year and change until the next one,

[00:09:58] which is unfortunate.

[00:10:06] I got to see Lillian.

[00:10:08] She had little headphones and her little foot was sticking out from her little

[00:10:17] I think was a little more quiet and Sean and Michelle were there and she looked so good.

[00:10:23] She was in like this one piece, like spandex red.

[00:10:29] I did not because I arrived too late and then I started drinking

[00:10:32] and I thought maybe that was a bad idea.

[00:10:33] So that sounds like a good idea to get the jump roping,

[00:10:37] but they are just pure joy and pure smiles.

[00:10:39] And I mean, they both, but she looked.

[00:10:42] Did you meet Chris and Mary?

[00:10:44] Oh my God. Yes.

[00:10:45] Also Mary's birthday is the day after mine, so her birthday was Wednesday.

[00:10:48] So we toasted to our birthdays.

[00:10:50] Chris was so he went up to everybody and he's like, oh my God,

[00:10:54] so nice to meet you.

[00:10:55] And he started posting like former racer, like his posts are so funny.

[00:11:00] Oh my God.

[00:11:01] Chris's Instagram.

[00:11:03] So mind you, so funny, funny.

[00:11:04] For a racer, good person.

[00:11:06] Just so I love Chris.

[00:11:11] They came to our Boston party like surprises us.

[00:11:14] And so I was like, oh my God, we got to get a photo.

[00:11:16] Chris was like, Chris was taking photos.

[00:11:18] Next thing I know that he was posting them.

[00:11:20] I love watching.

[00:11:25] He's just so funny.

[00:11:27] I literally after Boston, I turned on my post notifications.

[00:12:31] And I haven't been agreeing with you a lot all season, but I got a gripe right off the bat.

[00:12:41] Well, what is it?

[00:12:42] I mean, well, okay.

[00:12:45] Okay.

[00:12:46] So when we was in Barbados, I'm going to have to or no.

[00:12:52] Where was we at this?

[00:12:53] Dominican Republic.

[00:12:54] The minute the D.R.

[00:12:55] Yeah, I'm with you now.

[00:12:59] I haven't been with you this whole season about this.

[00:13:03] But when I was in my bed eating my pets pizza minding my business,

[00:13:09] I really felt like the challenges in the D.R. were so easy.

[00:13:16] I was like, oh, I was like, I'm going to have to agree with Brooke.

[00:13:20] I'm like that.

[00:13:22] I'm very glad they didn't make the penultimate like a 90 minute episode

[00:13:25] because they just couldn't have.

[00:13:26] There was nothing.

[00:13:27] It was they did it well.

[00:13:29] It was like 30 minutes and the finale was an hour and it was good.

[00:13:32] I will say I have a couple of things about.

[00:13:34] Okay, let's do it.

[00:13:35] So anyway, I didn't hear my other gripe.

[00:13:37] Oh, no, please.

[00:13:39] So the first thing that they got to do is on a boat.

[00:13:42] Well, maybe maybe this isn't really a great

[00:13:44] because maybe I was still a little hungover when I was watching.

[00:13:46] But they had to like head over to that thing and dive to get the clue.

[00:13:49] Now, when I watched the boat, I'm like, why is for why?

[00:13:52] Why are all the teams on the boat together?

[00:13:54] But now in my head, I'm thinking it's two teams and two teams.

[00:13:58] So that's four people.

[00:13:58] OK, so that's that's not really a great but mine.

[00:14:02] But when I saw it, I'm like, why are all the teams on the boat going to die?

[00:14:09] But well, I mean, I also thought about Corey and Rob.

[00:14:18] Rob even got in the boat.

[00:14:19] OK, Rob would have swam.

[00:14:21] OK, but yeah, I just thought the D.R.

[00:14:24] challenges were a little lackluster.

[00:14:26] That's all I want to say.

[00:14:27] However, Brooke always says, if you take a step, you know,

[00:14:31] Brooke rule number seven hundred thirty two.

[00:14:34] If you make it long enough on the race,

[00:14:36] there will be a roadblock.

[00:14:37] This one was for me.

[00:14:39] This is what makes me so sad.

[00:14:40] No, no.

[00:14:41] Yeah. OK. So what?

[00:14:42] Hey, it would have been for me.

[00:14:44] I would have been I would have been making them.

[00:14:46] Oh, not that one.

[00:14:48] That's not the one that's for me.

[00:14:49] I, as you know, am a certified scuba diver.

[00:14:52] So when they do, the first thing that they say is you can do the dive rigs

[00:14:57] or you can do the bartending.

[00:14:58] Now, everyone chose the bartending, which I guess if you've never seen like a BCD

[00:15:04] and a dive tank, you wouldn't buoyancy control.

[00:15:06] But you would never know how to do it.

[00:15:08] To put four tanks together, it would have taken me on seven minutes.

[00:15:13] Like the whole thing would have been so fast and so easy because if you know

[00:15:17] what you're doing, it's like boom, boom, boom, boom.

[00:15:18] Tighten this turn that the end so fast.

[00:15:21] I am so sad nobody did it.

[00:15:23] And I'm sitting there going, well, that's the one.

[00:15:25] That's the Brooke challenge right there.

[00:15:27] You just even saying that broke.

[00:15:29] If like, you know what you're doing and it only takes seven minutes,

[00:15:32] that could have been a difference in a million dollars.

[00:15:34] Absolutely, absolutely.

[00:15:36] Now the drink challenge, everyone was like, that was really easy.

[00:15:39] And this seemed like a really lopsided detour, but it wasn't lopsided

[00:15:44] if you'd ever done the other side of the challenge.

[00:15:46] But if you'd never seen it before, there's like eight steps to put together.

[00:15:49] I think it's not particularly hard.

[00:15:52] And so everybody was saying, what is Chi Chi doing this season?

[00:15:56] Right.

[00:15:56] Doing everything.

[00:15:57] Chi Chi got up in that bar.

[00:16:00] Well, Rod got up in her neck.

[00:16:02] He was all just trying to make it.

[00:16:04] Rob was trying to get the lime and the juice and the lime, but Chi Chi was.

[00:16:07] Trying to get something and something.

[00:16:09] It wasn't the lime and the juice.

[00:16:10] I'll tell you that.

[00:16:10] OK, sorry.

[00:16:12] They are very active.

[00:16:13] I'm so sorry, mama Kim, hi, papa Kim, hi.

[00:16:54] Let me just tell you that because me and Maya had a time,

[00:16:57] a time in Pittsburgh at some like, you know, little ratchet bar.

[00:17:06] Maya was like, I'm fine.

[00:17:07] I said, OK, Maya.

[00:17:10] So yeah, but I'm excited because I feel like they are a team that

[00:17:15] 37 seasons from now, you're still going to see them out having fun

[00:17:19] and they'll still be young because they're still college students.

[00:17:23] Well, I could have mothered them, but I love them.

[00:17:26] And they're just they made she looked gorgeous, too.

[00:17:29] He was dressed so nicely also that I will tell you, people really

[00:17:33] Kishore and Karishma like to the nine.

[00:17:36] Everyone really dressed up and this good looking cast of people.

[00:17:40] Just good looking.

[00:17:42] Anyway, that's my story.

[00:17:43] OK, so four teams are left.

[00:17:45] One and Shane, who are finally finding their place at the front of the pack.

[00:17:49] You have.

[00:17:51] Wait, who did I write that?

[00:17:55] Ricky and Caesar.

[00:17:56] I wrote them by always write R and C and C and R.

[00:17:59] And I was like, who the hell are CNR?

[00:18:04] OK, so anyway, they've won six times.

[00:18:05] They're living their dream, blah, blah, whatever.

[00:18:08] Vinnie and Amber.

[00:18:10] I think the edit for him was real.

[00:18:12] I really he was so nice.

[00:18:13] I think they took out his happy.

[00:18:15] I believe they brooked him.

[00:18:17] That's all I'm saying.

[00:18:18] And then Rod and Latisha Rod still has this positive attitude.

[00:18:21] The teachers in good spirits, they're ready to go.

[00:18:24] Whatever.

[00:18:25] So anyway, they jump off the boat and still says they're going to have to dive down

[00:18:28] to the bottom of the ocean to get their clue.

[00:18:30] See if Rod's head didn't even go underwater like they didn't have to dive.

[00:18:33] And there's no diving.

[00:18:34] This was like the clues right here.

[00:18:36] Maybe they went under a foot.

[00:18:38] Like maybe you have to die for nothing.

[00:18:41] But OK, and then they had to swim to shore.

[00:18:43] Now shout out to Ricky, who was very fast in the first group.

[00:18:48] And then even faster, one and Shane cut through that water like they were.

[00:18:52] One is.

[00:18:53] Sharks.

[00:18:54] Listen, the way one is Shane was splashing in that water was almost how I was

[00:18:59] splashing in my mind when I first seen one of Shane come on the screen.

[00:19:03] I said, look at them go now also was saying now, why are you so fast in the water?

[00:19:08] But on land, you're a little slower.

[00:19:10] Oh, no, I'm not going to let you.

[00:19:12] I'm going to get defensive of one because not only is he like the nicest person

[00:19:15] I've ever met, he's hilarious.

[00:19:17] And I did a little something to embarrass myself.

[00:19:19] We'll get there.

[00:19:20] That's fine.

[00:19:21] But we love them.

[00:19:21] But I thought the same thing.

[00:19:22] I said, why is Shane is not playing?

[00:19:24] They are fish.

[00:19:24] I'm like, and maybe that is their Achilles heel.

[00:19:27] If we would have had more water challenges, I'm like, maybe one is Shane

[00:19:32] could have like, yeah, but I thought the same thing.

[00:19:34] I was like, why are they so they were so surprised at some point?

[00:19:38] I'm going to say, I think you could have influenced the outcome of this race.

[00:19:41] I think had you followed them, I think things would have been differently,

[00:19:44] but we'll get there.

[00:19:44] We get there anyway.

[00:19:46] Tour, you got to do the diving, which honestly, 10 seconds or this rum sip

[00:19:52] where you have to make six drinks unless you're Ricky and Caesar,

[00:19:54] that you have to make seven drinks and then you have to give them to these

[00:19:57] pirates, pirates.

[00:19:59] And that's it.

[00:20:01] This challenge could have been so much better.

[00:20:04] I was even thinking because yeah, like, OK, because I was confused

[00:20:09] because it's like you then you make the drinks and then the bartender

[00:20:13] tells you I thought the challenge could have been more difficult

[00:20:16] if one you had to remember who ordered why.

[00:20:19] Yes, agree.

[00:20:21] Make it hard.

[00:20:21] Take all the order.

[00:20:22] Have to take all the orders at once.

[00:20:24] Remember which pirates wanted what to drink like have to find the pirates

[00:20:28] around the beach, have to carry all the drinks on my train.

[00:20:31] If you spill them start over like no, this could have been so much better.

[00:20:35] I'm sorry.

[00:20:35] I have like a picture in my head of like a way better challenge.

[00:20:38] I ain't walking around no beach trying to find no damn power because

[00:20:42] I'm going to be sipping the table like right.

[00:20:46] I have to carry the tray and like if you spill start over, like even if they were

[00:20:50] just not all just sitting right there and you're like who wanted it?

[00:20:53] What they should have done, which should have happened was

[00:20:56] if you make one of each go in the back, make one of each walk out

[00:20:59] and be like who wants what?

[00:21:00] And then you're done.

[00:21:01] You don't have to take orders with this or it would have been cooler

[00:21:04] if some of the pirates wanted the same thing.

[00:21:06] And then if you had made one of each, you I don't know if there were

[00:21:09] ways to do this that were better than this.

[00:21:11] And I would love if they someone ordered like two of the Pina Coladas.

[00:21:14] One would have had to been a mocktail or something like to switch it up

[00:21:17] a little bit.

[00:21:17] But mind you, this would have been my challenge because, you know,

[00:21:20] I am a barista not with coffee, but with alcohol.

[00:21:24] But I'm an extra drink for yourself in the back girl.

[01:02:47] as Ricky and Cesar are leaving.

[01:02:48] You see them in the same frame.

[01:02:49] You can't change that editing is what it is.

[01:02:51] And then Leticia goes in to do the memory challenge.

[01:02:55] I like that she volunteered to do it.

[01:02:57] She's like, this one's on me.

[01:02:58] I'm good at memory and she's in it.

[01:03:00] At this time, Juan and Shane get the other challenge done,

[01:03:03] the declaration of independence.

[01:03:04] The guy goes huzzah.

[01:03:05] I think he's trying to be a great judge.

[01:03:07] It's not my favorite judge of the day.

[01:03:08] And then they get the flags.

[01:03:10] Rod and Leticia are still working on the flag.

[01:03:12] Ricky and Cesar are at the other meeting house

[01:03:15] putting together the, I was gonna say statue of liberty.

[01:03:17] That's not right.

[01:03:18] Liberty Bell.

[01:03:22] They get to this Arch Street meeting house

[01:03:23] and I go, yes, it's my favorite time of the season.

[01:03:27] It's always like this with very rare exception,

[01:03:30] amazing memory tasks that takes you through

[01:03:32] everywhere you've been, something from each leg.

[01:03:34] What's it gonna be?

[01:03:35] Like I am psyched.

[01:03:36] It is my favorite challenge, whatever it is every season.

[01:03:40] And then there isn't one.

[01:03:40] It's put together a puzzle.

[01:03:43] But a very hard puzzle.

[01:03:46] I was kind of like waiting for like,

[01:03:48] well, where are the memory?

[01:03:49] Where you gotta like?

[01:03:52] This happened to Will and James too,

[01:03:54] where I was like, where's your memory challenge?

[01:03:56] Remember, this is the first season we did together.

[01:03:58] They had to put together like those strips

[01:04:00] on that huge ball globe thing

[01:04:02] and roll it through New Orleans.

[01:04:04] Now I think Will and James would have done great

[01:04:06] on a memory challenge.

[01:04:07] I like when there is something.

[01:04:10] They had a memory like, because this is Philadelphia.

[01:04:12] So when they did a finale in New York City,

[01:04:16] I mean several, several seasons ago,

[01:04:18] which the finale ended.

[01:04:19] A whole season ago?

[01:04:20] No, many more than that.

[01:04:22] But it was, no, because seven seasons ago was mine.

[01:04:26] You know, several years ago.

[01:04:28] Oh right.

[01:04:29] Shout out Jalinski.

[01:04:32] So anyway, the one in New York City ended on my block, no less.

[01:04:36] I used to live on 45th between first and second.

[01:04:38] This ended at the UN, which is like 44th and first.

[01:04:41] And this challenge was ridiculous.

[01:04:43] They had like vats of like kickball sized balls

[01:04:47] with the outlines of countries on them.

[01:04:49] And you had to grab, dive into this thing,

[01:04:51] grab the right ball

[01:04:52] and put them in order of the countries you were in.

[01:04:54] It was physically difficult.

[01:04:56] If you didn't know the outline of the countries,

[01:04:58] you had to study like something that people weren't studying.

[01:05:00] They've had ones where it's like,

[01:05:01] what's the currency you use in every country?

[01:05:04] Like they've just done things that people don't necessarily

[01:05:06] eventually look at the flags and this, whatever.

[01:05:09] Ours was not particularly hard as

[01:05:11] what place did you come in in each leg of the race?

[01:05:14] And I knew that's something you remember.

[01:05:16] I could sit four, six, six, seven, six, five, four, three, four, two, one, one.

[01:05:19] Still know it off the top of my head, but you'll never forget it.

[01:05:22] But this one was, there wasn't one.

[01:05:25] I actually wanted to watch Ricky and Sacer do it

[01:05:27] because we knew things like they went back to Rihanna's house

[01:05:30] and checked with the thing on the floor.

[01:05:31] Looked like we knew they were prepared

[01:05:33] and I would have really liked to have seen it.

[01:05:35] But alas, Brooke doesn't get what she wants

[01:05:37] and they just had to put together this three puzzle,

[01:05:40] which looked like a hard puzzle.

[01:05:42] And looked fun, honestly.

[01:05:44] I would have enjoyed something that was going to let other teams

[01:05:47] catch up and pass them.

[01:05:48] So whatever.

[01:05:50] So, okay.

[01:05:51] So then, so Juan and Shane get to this flag thing

[01:05:57] and they overtake Rod and Leticia.

[01:06:00] Now this just shows how fast Juan is doing things

[01:06:02] because Juan and Shane have now gone 45 minutes or more

[01:06:05] in and out of the wrong direction.

[01:06:08] And they are back and they have now left Rod and Leticia

[01:06:12] and they get out of there second.

[01:06:14] But by the time they get to the Liberty Bell,

[01:06:16] Ricky and Sacer are gone.

[01:06:17] So we can't even fake that the editing makes it look that close.

[01:06:20] They do make it look like Ricky and Sacer get lost

[01:06:22] on their way to the pit stop and Juan and Shane.

[01:06:24] But it is about 45 to 50 minutes difference.

[01:06:28] I am very curious to know how it would have ended

[01:06:30] if the two gentlemen did not make their way to New Jersey.

[01:06:33] I think it would have been so close

[01:06:35] and such a good photo finish.

[01:06:36] But the whole thing about Leticia doing the flag is

[01:06:42] so the blue part of the flag where you have the circle of stars

[01:06:46] what an old flag looks like.

[01:06:47] There are little snaps for you to snap the stars on.

[01:06:50] And she is listening to Betsy Ross and she is like,

[01:06:52] Betsy Ross doesn't have five point stars

[01:06:54] but I think she hears five stars

[01:06:56] and she only puts five stars on the flag

[01:06:57] and she is like why am I getting it wrong?

[01:06:58] But she has to go back a few times

[01:07:00] and I think that is what allows Juan and Shane to pass.

[01:07:04] They finally get it.

[01:07:05] Ricky and Sacer are on their way to the finish line.

[01:07:07] They get their clue that says go, go, go.

[01:07:09] For me, the last, on our last leg my partner said

[01:07:14] can I read the opening clue?

[01:07:16] And I said sure, but if we are in first place

[01:07:18] and I want to read the clue at the end

[01:07:20] that says go, go, go because it's very iconic

[01:07:21] in the Amazing Race.

[01:07:22] That is what your last clue always says.

[01:07:24] So Sacer shows the go, go, go clue to the camera.

[01:07:27] They are making their way to Glen Ford Estate

[01:07:30] to the finish line.

[01:07:32] I will never forget this moment for me.

[01:07:34] It is a very out of body experience

[01:07:35] when you see that mat and you see all the teams there

[01:07:38] and you realize that you are the first team.

[01:07:40] I had a moment of somebody hiding

[01:07:42] and aren't we second?

[01:07:44] But when you get like, I felt for them.

[01:07:46] I was watching them.

[01:07:47] They were holding each other.

[01:07:48] It was such a lovely moment to watch them

[01:07:50] take the whole thing home and they get up there.

[01:07:54] They're just beautiful people.

[01:07:56] This is a deserving, wonderful win

[01:07:59] for anyone out there who says

[01:08:01] they had an unfair advantage.

[01:08:03] Disagree.

[01:08:04] I think if you speak a language, good on you.

[01:08:06] I think if you lived in the final city, good on you.

[01:08:10] And I think that they showed through the entire race

[01:08:12] that they were very deserving winners.

[01:08:15] They were smart and they played it

[01:08:17] like they knew what they were doing.

[01:08:18] So very, very, very, very, very proud of Ricky and Sacer.
