[00:01:47] She and I are getting into all things Episode 5 and 6 of this season of the Real Housewives of Potomac.

[00:01:55] We are talking about the scar.

[00:01:57] We're talking about the drug dealer boyfriends.

[00:02:00] We are trying to figure out who you would F, marry, and kill.

[00:02:04] We are also talking about Karen's deflection, this, and so much more.

[00:02:08] So let's get into this week's Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9 recap.

[00:02:14] Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah.

[00:02:15] It's a man who?

[00:02:17] It's a man you.

[00:02:18] Me and potatoes like we're cooking up a great stew.

[00:02:20] It's a man who?

[00:02:21] It's a man you.

[00:02:22] Me and potatoes like we're cooking up a great stew.

[00:02:31] What is going on?

[00:02:32] We are back with your Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9, covering Episode 5 and 6.

[00:02:39] My co-host has returned from France, Dr. Jatia Hart-Taylor.

[00:02:43] Welcome back to the podcast.

[00:02:45] What's poppin'?

[00:02:46] Bonjour, bonjour mon dieu.

[00:02:48] I'm so happy to be here.

[00:02:50] Oh my goodness.

[00:02:51] And so much has happened.

[00:02:52] I want to say thank you.

[00:02:53] Shout out to Big D for jumping right on in with his opinionated opinion on all of the Potomac going on.

[00:03:04] Yes, a lot going on on season nine.

[00:03:06] But I definitely have to start after watching episode six tonight and five last week.

[00:03:12] I think I like this new mixture of ladies.

[00:03:15] I really have come to enjoy Stacey.

[00:03:20] Jacqueline is annoying, but fun to watch.

[00:03:25] Jazzy, whoo, we will have to get to her when we get to her.

[00:03:28] And Kiana, I love me some Kiana.

[00:03:31] Although, yeah.

[00:03:33] I like Kay.

[00:03:34] I like Kay.

[00:03:35] I think it's a good mix.

[00:03:37] I think the best thing about the mix of this woman is that they can do even some kind of not so light shade and keep it moving.

[00:03:46] That's what I like.

[00:03:47] So, like, they can sit at a table.

[00:03:49] They can shade each other.

[00:03:50] They can throw it.

[00:03:51] They can dish it.

[00:03:52] They can receive it.

[00:03:53] And at the end of the day, they still don't twerk in each other's face.

[00:03:58] That is true.

[00:03:59] Lake Norman has a way of bringing people together.

[00:04:01] While we were at this, you know, Wendy's 40th birthday, I have to say I am loving the evolution of Wendy this season.

[00:04:09] I enjoy seeing her celebrate her birthday.

[00:04:11] But listen, we was at a lunch.

[00:04:14] We was bringing up ex-drug dealers.

[00:04:18] Hmm.

[00:04:19] And skincare routines.

[00:04:22] Now, this is where for me it's like I understand Kiana getting upset and it's very triggering.

[00:04:30] But honestly, I feel like I don't know why she got so mad at Ashley in that moment.

[00:04:37] I'm team K on this one.

[00:04:38] I'm so sorry.

[00:04:39] I'm team K about it.

[00:04:40] Look.

[00:04:40] Yo, look.

[00:04:41] I got a scar on my forehead because your busted friend busts me upside my head.

[00:04:46] And you want to ask after somebody just teased me about it.

[00:04:51] That's the thing.

[00:04:52] Had it been two separate things, it wasn't two separate things.

[00:04:54] Somebody, you know, just brought that up to dig at her.

[00:04:59] And now it's your raggedy friend who did the digging in my head.

[00:05:03] And you want to ask me about my skincare routine.

[00:05:06] I mean, it was just ill times.

[00:05:08] Yeah.

[00:05:09] Maybe that's what it is.

[00:05:10] Just wrong timing.

[00:05:11] But I feel like the person you should have been mad at, Kiana, was Mia.

[00:05:14] Not Ashley.

[00:05:15] Because I felt like Ashley was really like.

[00:05:18] It was already.

[00:05:19] Look, she was already in her feelings.

[00:05:21] So, yeah, yeah.

[00:05:22] I'm team K on this one.

[00:05:23] And Ashley, yeah.

[00:05:25] It was just ill times.

[00:05:26] And girl, yeah.

[00:05:27] Like, you know how they say too soon?

[00:05:28] Too soon.

[00:05:30] Yeah.

[00:05:30] So, that was interesting.

[00:05:32] And then, you know, Mia and Karen are going back and forth.

[00:05:36] Mia is letting Stacey know.

[00:05:39] Do you see these DUI charges?

[00:05:42] Is this the type of friend that you're listening and telling T about me?

[00:05:46] So, how did Stacey not know?

[00:05:48] First of all, that's what I wanted to be.

[00:05:49] I was like, have you never been in such a issue?

[00:05:52] She was too busy moving her shoulders.

[00:05:53] I mean, she was too busy doing this.

[00:05:56] So, like, I was like, how could you not know?

[00:05:59] But it also was very messy.

[00:06:02] But that's what Mia is known for.

[00:06:04] She don't care about her going to rehab.

[00:06:08] She cared about her being, she just want to pull it out on editing.

[00:06:12] Stacey and the girls going to Karen and asking her if we have something that she needs.

[00:06:17] And Karen needs to teach a class 101 of deflecting.

[00:06:24] Because all these last two episodes, they've been...

[00:06:28] Kara has been dodging them and sending them back.

[00:06:31] Not Karen responds with, well, Mia would know about a lot of things.

[00:06:37] Because she had an opioid addiction.

[00:06:39] I'm like, now Karen!

[00:06:43] So, first of all, she handled both of them.

[00:06:46] Both of them she handled.

[00:06:48] Because not only did she talk about Mia and her opioid addiction,

[00:06:51] but then she came back at Jack Lauren about Mr. PP and his 25 convictions.

[00:06:57] Wow.

[00:06:58] I was like, wow.

[00:07:01] And when they said everybody has a past,

[00:07:04] I was loving when Wendy was like, now everybody has a past?

[00:07:08] But y'all was coming on Kearna and her men.

[00:07:10] And just real interesting.

[00:07:14] I also just felt like these last couple of episodes, Karen seemed very detached.

[00:07:19] Right?

[00:07:19] Like, she just, like, was not clocked in at all.

[00:07:23] I don't know if it's because she wasn't whetting her whistle.

[00:07:25] But she definitely was...

[00:07:28] Took a step back.

[00:07:29] She wasn't giving what I wanted the granddome to give.

[00:07:33] I would say she was shutting them down.

[00:07:35] Like, they came for her and she was shutting them down.

[00:07:38] And all of a sudden it was a new subject.

[00:07:39] So, I don't think she was actually kind of deflecting.

[00:07:42] But also, y'all have got...

[00:07:43] I don't understand the problem with, like, saying to your friends,

[00:07:47] look, we are filming right now.

[00:07:49] I do not want to talk about my pending court cases or anything.

[00:07:55] Because this might be used against me.

[00:07:57] And anything you say or do can be used against you in a court of law.

[00:08:02] I mean, this is what Derek and I were saying last week.

[00:08:06] And I agree with that.

[00:08:07] However, I feel like Karen with Robin last season, you know, how can you not...

[00:08:16] I mean, it is different.

[00:08:17] It's different, but it's the same.

[00:08:20] She don't have to incriminate herself.

[00:08:22] But I don't think that...

[00:08:23] Well, clearly the women are asking for, like, the details.

[00:08:26] And it's obviously, like, Karen's not going to give them...

[00:08:28] Because I told Derek last week, you know, her court team is following

[00:08:33] different things and saying they want evidence removed.

[00:08:36] Because they say they didn't rehire her Miranda rights.

[00:08:39] They illegally searched her car.

[00:08:41] Okay, Karen is trying to get this thrown out of here.

[00:08:44] So...

[00:08:45] Oh, I think it is going to be thrown out.

[00:08:47] I mean, she trying to...

[00:08:48] She got good lawyers, honey.

[00:08:49] She ain't getting the little po-po...

[00:08:51] You know, she's like, we're going to write all emotions needed to be written.

[00:08:55] So, like, I wouldn't...

[00:08:57] If I was Karen, if women on the show brought...

[00:09:01] If I was like, this up, I'd leave the room.

[00:09:04] Like, I'd leave the room or I would literally be...

[00:09:09] Easier said than done, though.

[00:09:11] Because, like, you have to remember, when this is...

[00:09:13] They are filming right after it happened.

[00:09:16] Like, headlines are coming out.

[00:09:17] And, of course, this is what Bravo wants.

[00:09:20] Bravo wants all of this.

[00:09:21] So, it's like, there is a fine line.

[00:09:23] And I like how Karen does bring it up.

[00:09:25] But, like, what do you expect from these girls?

[00:09:29] Which is why I am not mad at Karen bringing up Mr. PP.

[00:09:33] Karen bringing up all of the things that she's doing.

[00:09:36] Because it's like, she...

[00:09:37] It's tennis, right?

[00:09:38] Like, she playing tennis with the girls.

[00:09:40] They have to have a show about something.

[00:09:41] But guess what?

[00:09:42] It wouldn't be about my life.

[00:09:43] So, yes.

[00:09:44] And...

[00:09:44] Well, that's what Robin said.

[00:09:45] That's what Robin said.

[00:09:46] So, I mean...

[00:09:47] Well, especially not...

[00:09:49] Not only my life.

[00:09:51] But, like, me going to jail.

[00:09:52] If it's between me going to jail and me digging up your dirty laundry.

[00:09:56] Best believe, honey.

[00:09:58] Your bra gonna be in the wind.

[00:09:59] Okay?

[00:10:01] So, it's interesting to see.

[00:10:03] There is, like, a funny moment where we're getting ready for Wendy's birthday.

[00:10:07] And Mia gives the lady shots.

[00:10:08] And then she puts the bottle down her mouth.

[00:10:10] And then she says, that's how I got two.

[00:10:14] Girl, what?

[00:10:14] Because, wait, I thought, like, wait, what?

[00:10:17] Like, Mia be telling on herself.

[00:10:20] And doesn't even realize that she's telling on herself.

[00:10:22] Because, like, I was like, wait a minute.

[00:10:23] I thought you were inked.

[00:10:25] But, like, you saying that's why you got...

[00:10:26] Oh, I think she was trying to brag.

[00:10:28] And it...

[00:10:28] I mean, like, yeah, she needs to watch.

[00:10:31] I don't know.

[00:10:31] That's crazy.

[00:10:32] But whatever.

[00:10:34] And so, if she likes to brag...

[00:10:36] I don't know why you want two men, child.

[00:10:37] Ew.

[00:10:38] Anyway, sorry.

[00:10:39] Is bragging...

[00:10:40] Tell me if this is bragging.

[00:10:43] Hi.

[00:10:44] Let me take you to a chiropractor office that I had to sell.

[00:10:51] That I no longer own.

[00:10:54] But I want you to come see it.

[00:10:58] So, um...

[00:10:59] I think she could...

[00:11:00] She would doubt that better.

[00:11:02] She should have been like, this is a location I founded.

[00:11:05] I started.

[00:11:06] You know?

[00:11:07] She ain't got a second.

[00:11:08] She's, you know...

[00:11:09] Well, we know what all that legal...

[00:11:11] First of all...

[00:11:11] My question is...

[00:11:13] Are you and Gordon Eva selling this?

[00:11:15] Because the last time we checked...

[00:11:17] The family was locking y'all out.

[00:11:19] So, is the family selling them?

[00:11:21] Yeah.

[00:11:22] I don't know, girl.

[00:11:23] She should have kept it beige.

[00:11:24] Look...

[00:11:25] She could have been like...

[00:11:26] I used to work here.

[00:11:28] Kept it at that.

[00:11:29] Like, she...

[00:11:30] Like, the board...

[00:11:31] The way the board is structured...

[00:11:32] And so now...

[00:11:34] There was a shareholder meeting...

[00:11:35] Not...

[00:11:35] Child, we don't need all that.

[00:11:36] All right.

[00:11:37] Cool.

[00:11:37] You know these people.

[00:11:38] Cool.

[00:11:38] Whatever.

[00:11:40] It was just awkward with everyone like looking around.

[00:11:43] Like...

[00:11:44] Why are we here?

[00:11:46] I'm confused.

[00:11:48] Um...

[00:11:48] You did an adjustment at the joint.

[00:11:51] And nobody got an adjustment.

[00:11:52] And why are you promoting a business that you sold?

[00:11:54] That's like...

[00:11:55] Uh...

[00:11:55] Yeah.

[00:11:57] Child, look.

[00:11:57] They need family locations, honey.

[00:11:59] And it was available.

[00:12:00] Clearly.

[00:12:00] I mean, Robin's opening new spa locations all over.

[00:12:04] So, I mean, they could have went and filmed with Robin.

[00:12:07] So, I'm like trying to hold off.

[00:12:09] But, I mean, I think we should just dive right into...

[00:12:12] Well, first of all...

[00:12:14] Stacey.

[00:12:15] Stacey is really warming up to me, right?

[00:12:17] I feel like when we first met Stacey on these first three episodes,

[00:12:20] I feel like...

[00:12:22] He was very dry to me.

[00:12:24] Right.

[00:12:24] But I also don't think we had enough of her personality.

[00:12:29] Because I think her personality is kind of like...

[00:12:32] Don't be mad.

[00:12:34] She kind of reminds me a little bit of you, Jitsia.

[00:12:38] Corky.

[00:12:40] She dry.

[00:12:41] No.

[00:12:42] But I like...

[00:12:44] I enjoyed her on this girl's trip, kind of opening up with the girls.

[00:12:47] I was dying at...

[00:12:49] When people were throwing out these daggers, and Stacey would be like...

[00:12:54] A drug dealer?

[00:12:55] Wait.

[00:12:56] A stripper?

[00:12:57] Wait.

[00:12:58] No.

[00:12:58] No.

[00:12:58] She was like...

[00:12:59] No.

[00:13:00] She was like...

[00:13:00] She was a stripper?

[00:13:01] Seriously?

[00:13:02] I was like, Stacey, girl, have you even watched this show?

[00:13:04] Like, get out of here.

[00:13:06] But there's something very, like, innocent about Stacey's...

[00:13:10] Like, her being thrown into this world, which is a little ratchet.

[00:13:14] And, you know, Stacey gives me very upper demure, very classy.

[00:13:18] And, like, she's being thrown in with the wolves.

[00:13:20] But, like, at first I thought I didn't like it.

[00:13:22] But I am enjoying Stacey.

[00:13:25] I think that she is fun.

[00:13:26] And I like the fact that you're not going to push her around.

[00:13:30] She's going to stand up for herself.

[00:13:31] She's going to ask the questions.

[00:13:32] But not coming from a mean and malicious place.

[00:13:35] Like, I don't know.

[00:13:36] Like, Stacey is really warming up to me.

[00:13:38] Oh, my gosh.

[00:13:38] She is so shocked and innocent.

[00:13:40] And I love it.

[00:13:41] So, like, how she was shocked about getting thrown out of the party.

[00:13:47] Shocked.

[00:13:47] Could not believe this.

[00:13:49] Oh, and then she was like, drug dealer?

[00:13:52] And then she was like, oh, my gosh.

[00:13:53] But she was a stripper?

[00:13:55] And, oh, my...

[00:13:56] She did have...

[00:13:57] Like, look.

[00:13:57] She's us.

[00:13:58] She's us.

[00:13:59] Stacey is us.

[00:13:59] Oh, my God.

[00:14:00] A D.

[00:14:00] Why?

[00:14:01] Oh, my God.

[00:14:02] Like, you know.

[00:14:04] It was funny.

[00:14:05] So, um...

[00:14:05] And also, yeah, she's very up.

[00:14:08] Um...

[00:14:08] She takes some good-natured ribbing.

[00:14:12] So, like, when they are talking about how stiff she is, and she is.

[00:14:15] Does she get mad?

[00:14:16] No.

[00:14:16] She's into it.

[00:14:17] She's like, yeah, that's my moves.

[00:14:19] I like that.

[00:14:21] So, you know, she can take some, you know, a little bit of that.

[00:14:24] However, maybe when she was explaining to Giselle about her, you know, celibacy...

[00:14:35] They are wanting to wait until marriage.

[00:14:38] They are.

[00:14:40] Sure.

[00:14:41] Yeah.

[00:14:41] I'm okay.

[00:14:42] Mm-hmm.

[00:14:42] Yeah.

[00:14:43] So, I'm so sorry.

[00:14:44] I don't, you know...

[00:14:45] Something's up.

[00:14:46] Something's up.

[00:14:47] The milk ain't smelling fresh.

[00:14:50] That Twitter was saying the way TJ was looking at that trainer when we saw him working out.

[00:14:55] They said he wasn't looking at her like that.

[00:14:57] I don't know.

[00:14:59] Um...

[00:14:59] But listen...

[00:15:01] I agree.

[00:15:01] More power to you.

[00:15:03] If you want to...

[00:15:03] Everybody has their own story.

[00:15:05] Free to be whoever they want to be.

[00:15:08] Free to be, meet you and me.

[00:15:09] Um...

[00:15:10] But just live in your truth.

[00:15:12] I mean...

[00:15:13] But the thing that I respect about Stacey the most is that, like, I, um...

[00:15:18] I'm waiting for marriage.

[00:15:19] I'm waiting for marriage myself.

[00:15:20] Uh...

[00:15:21] To give...

[00:15:21] To give my body, uh...

[00:15:24] To someone.

[00:15:24] And so, like, I really can respect where she's coming from.

[00:15:28] It's a hard journey.

[00:15:28] It's not easy.

[00:15:32] I don't even know what to say to that.

[00:15:34] That's not, like...

[00:15:35] Thank you for supporting me on my journey.

[00:15:36] You've known this since Kageon.

[00:15:42] Look, I'm enjoying the Duluth land that you're serving today.

[00:15:46] So, thank you for regaling us with these lies and falsehoods.

[00:15:52] Um...

[00:15:53] And I do support you on your Duluth journey.

[00:15:56] Thank you so much.

[00:16:00] Here's another thing that I'll say.

[00:16:02] Kiana.

[00:16:02] I like my girl Kiana.

[00:16:03] I liked her from last season.

[00:16:05] This is what I will say from what I've seen in her in these last two episodes.

[00:16:09] Right?

[00:16:09] Um...

[00:16:10] I like the fact that she can stay on her own.

[00:16:12] She can...

[00:16:14] Pull it back.

[00:16:15] Come back together.

[00:16:16] You know, she got Greg.

[00:16:18] Greg with his two kids.

[00:16:19] She wanted to be a good stepmom to the two kids.

[00:16:22] But this is the one thing that I don't like about Kiana.

[00:16:24] I don't like how far up Kiana...

[00:16:26] Like, y'all would say a Robin was up Giselle's butt.

[00:16:30] Kiana...

[00:16:31] The way Kiana is taking up for Kiana...

[00:16:33] Like, when they were at the breakfast and they were like,

[00:16:35] Oh, that was a lot for me!

[00:16:36] Kiana, they came for you!

[00:16:38] But I'm like, alright, girl.

[00:16:39] Like, I understand Kiana is your friend.

[00:16:42] But you don't have to...

[00:16:47] I like Kiana.

[00:16:49] Whatever you're saying is not true.

[00:16:51] And you're like...

[00:16:52] I like her.

[00:16:52] I just...

[00:16:53] I don't understand why...

[00:16:54] I guess, clearly, um...

[00:16:57] Kiana is your Giselle.

[00:16:59] Um, you just be hating on her for no reason.

[00:17:01] So...

[00:17:01] I...

[00:17:03] I like Kiana.

[00:17:04] I just don't like...

[00:17:05] I've just seen her a couple of times.

[00:17:07] Just kind of like...

[00:17:10] To Karen.

[00:17:11] It's like, alright, girl.

[00:17:11] Y'all could be cool.

[00:17:12] But it's like, clearly,

[00:17:14] I just feel like Kiana is Karen's soldier.

[00:17:16] And she's going to take up for Karen.

[00:17:17] And you should take up for your friend.

[00:17:19] But it shouldn't see...

[00:17:20] Like, it's giving a little bit of Jacqueline.

[00:17:23] Like...

[00:17:23] I was about to say, Jacqueline doing the same thing.

[00:17:26] And look, Jacqueline ain't even got no, uh...

[00:17:28] Whatever.

[00:17:28] Peach, snowflake, cherry blossom, whatever.

[00:17:32] Can we talk about Jacqueline, right?

[00:17:34] Because Jacqueline is annoying as hell.

[00:17:37] Yes, she is.

[00:17:37] And I love how everything has to be about her.

[00:17:39] And she...

[00:17:42] Didn't they reveal that her,

[00:17:44] and...

[00:17:44] Mia had, um...

[00:17:46] Some intimate...

[00:17:48] Nights.

[00:17:49] Whatever.

[00:17:49] I don't even know how to say a child.

[00:17:51] Whatever.

[00:17:51] Confused.

[00:17:52] Look, she looks like she gets jealous.

[00:17:54] And it's so funny because Mia, like,

[00:17:56] totally has torn her a new one

[00:17:58] a few times.

[00:18:00] And, like, she keep coming back.

[00:18:02] Like, she said she would never talk to her

[00:18:05] ever again.

[00:18:05] Their friendship was over.

[00:18:06] Yeah, here you are at the table.

[00:18:08] Not only that, but you going in.

[00:18:10] You defending her.

[00:18:11] You jumping in.

[00:18:13] You getting crushed by Karen

[00:18:16] because you residual, you know, uh, uh, damage.

[00:18:20] And then you in there the next, you know,

[00:18:23] few seconds backing her up,

[00:18:24] talking about, yeah,

[00:18:25] we think maybe Karen needs to go to rehab.

[00:18:27] Girl, you are under that woman's foot.

[00:18:30] Nah.

[00:18:31] Well, and other body parts.

[00:18:32] There is something, and I agree.

[00:18:35] I don't disagree.

[00:18:36] But there is just something weird, awkward,

[00:18:38] and funny about Jacqueline

[00:18:40] and this constant need to, like,

[00:18:43] at Wendy's birthday dinner.

[00:18:45] We didn't get along at first.

[00:18:48] Oh, bring it back, girl.

[00:18:49] Now that you know that I'm here

[00:18:51] and I'm not going,

[00:18:52] like, girl, like, Jacqueline,

[00:18:54] read the room.

[00:18:55] But it's so awkward and cringy

[00:18:57] that I kind of enjoy it.

[00:19:00] Like, it's like, oh my God, girl,

[00:19:01] why are you so cringy?

[00:19:02] And it's like,

[00:19:04] you're backing up Mia

[00:19:05] every chance that you could get.

[00:19:07] Like, at the dinner table

[00:19:08] when they were bringing up the boyfriends

[00:19:10] and then when they brought up PeePee,

[00:19:12] then they tried to, you know,

[00:19:13] use the excuse of,

[00:19:14] everybody's got a pass.

[00:19:15] Well, girl, if everybody has a pass,

[00:19:17] why are we bringing up

[00:19:18] Kiana's ex-drugula?

[00:19:20] Girl, look.

[00:19:20] Look here.

[00:19:21] You got caught.

[00:19:22] You got caught,

[00:19:23] and you ain't had no good thing

[00:19:25] to turn it or to back it up

[00:19:27] and you was just looking dumb in the face.

[00:19:29] That's it.

[00:19:30] So, now, let's get to

[00:19:32] what I really want to talk about here

[00:19:34] and that's Jazzy.

[00:19:36] Now, my fingers have been...

[00:19:40] I don't know how I feel about Jazzy.

[00:19:43] It's like, she reminds me of,

[00:19:45] have you ever started a new job?

[00:19:47] And there is that one co-worker

[00:19:49] that is, like, abundantly nice

[00:19:53] to the point where you're like,

[00:19:56] why are you being so nice?

[00:19:59] Right.

[00:20:00] You waiting for the other shoe to drop,

[00:20:02] like, oh, this person about to stab me in my back.

[00:20:05] Right.

[00:20:05] And so, it's like, I like Jazzy.

[00:20:08] I like her energy.

[00:20:08] She seems to be going along

[00:20:10] with a lot of different things.

[00:20:12] She seems to be involved in the mess,

[00:20:14] but there's something about her.

[00:20:16] And then we get to this NFL boyfriend,

[00:20:19] Darius.

[00:20:21] And...

[00:20:21] The one who does not have

[00:20:23] a working cell phone signal.

[00:20:26] And also, the one where the math ain't math in.

[00:20:30] And y'all been in a three-year relationship,

[00:20:33] but he got a one and a three.

[00:20:35] Oh, okay.

[00:20:37] And it's the way that she even tells the story.

[00:20:41] And it's like, the fact that you

[00:20:43] continuously put in there that, like,

[00:20:46] when we started dating,

[00:20:48] dating, like, it's like, girl,

[00:20:49] the way that you are inserting yourself...

[00:20:50] Girl, just look.

[00:20:51] Just say, look.

[00:20:52] We was dating other people

[00:20:53] and he had two babies

[00:20:54] before we got serious.

[00:20:56] Boom.

[00:20:56] Well, because it's...

[00:20:58] The way the math is adding up

[00:21:01] because, mind you,

[00:21:01] I love how she says,

[00:21:02] we've been together a couple of years.

[00:21:05] And then he has a three-year-old

[00:21:06] and a one-and-a-half-year-old.

[00:21:08] And my girl, Ashley Darby,

[00:21:09] okay,

[00:21:10] coffee and healing

[00:21:11] or healing and thriving,

[00:21:13] she also was adding and subtracting.

[00:21:16] And if the baby one-and-a-half,

[00:21:19] y'all dating for a couple of years,

[00:21:20] it'd take nine months to make it.

[00:21:21] So basically,

[00:21:21] you was the side chick.

[00:21:23] Okay.

[00:21:24] While he was, like,

[00:21:25] you was the side chick.

[00:21:28] I mean,

[00:21:29] just say it like that.

[00:21:30] Look.

[00:21:31] Look.

[00:21:32] We didn't start seriously dating

[00:21:34] until after he had the kids.

[00:21:36] Boom.

[00:21:36] Done.

[00:21:37] Yeah.

[00:21:38] And that would have been it.

[00:21:40] It's the way...

[00:21:41] Or he has...

[00:21:43] Or we've been dating for years.

[00:21:46] He's got two children under three.

[00:21:48] Like,

[00:21:49] it's just the way that

[00:21:49] when somebody is over-explaining something,

[00:21:51] you're looking at them like,

[00:21:53] girl, wait, huh?

[00:21:55] But...

[00:21:56] I said it in one sentence.

[00:21:57] Look.

[00:22:00] And I will never forget,

[00:22:02] uh,

[00:22:02] Lisa Wu.

[00:22:04] Was it Lisa Wu?

[00:22:05] Oh,

[00:22:06] yes.

[00:22:06] When she was trying to explain.

[00:22:08] No,

[00:22:09] well,

[00:22:09] when Lisa Wu was talking about...

[00:22:11] The Ed Kirkwell sweat.

[00:22:12] Sweat.

[00:22:13] Keith Sweat.

[00:22:14] Uh,

[00:22:15] transition.

[00:22:16] Something like that.

[00:22:18] But I'll never forget,

[00:22:19] Lisa Wu said...

[00:22:20] Or it was Deshaun...

[00:22:21] No.

[00:22:22] Taking it back to Atlanta season one.

[00:22:24] Deshaun Snow said it best.

[00:22:26] Deshaun...

[00:22:26] They were talking about money

[00:22:27] and Lisa was bringing up something

[00:22:29] and Lisa said,

[00:22:30] oh, no, no, no.

[00:22:31] In the NFL,

[00:22:32] those contracts aren't guaranteed.

[00:22:34] But in the NBA,

[00:22:35] those contracts are guaranteed.

[00:22:37] So,

[00:22:37] I mean,

[00:22:38] I don't know how much money

[00:22:39] Darius got.

[00:22:40] I don't know.

[00:22:41] I've seen the photo.

[00:22:42] He said that.

[00:22:43] She said basically that

[00:22:44] he goes from season to season.

[00:22:47] Well,

[00:22:47] he just was on a Super Bowl winning team.

[00:22:49] For one season,

[00:22:50] yeah.

[00:22:55] I mean,

[00:22:55] I don't know.

[00:22:56] So,

[00:22:57] I say all of that to say

[00:23:00] with Jazzy dropping this gem,

[00:23:03] it's like,

[00:23:03] oh,

[00:23:04] now I'm a little more interested

[00:23:07] into...

[00:23:07] You said I was the Lulu.

[00:23:09] Now it's like,

[00:23:10] put me on the Jazzy,

[00:23:11] the Lulu train

[00:23:11] because now everything she does

[00:23:13] from here on out,

[00:23:14] I'm going to be like,

[00:23:15] mmm.

[00:23:16] Oh,

[00:23:17] I think she's definitely

[00:23:18] on the Lulu train.

[00:23:19] Don't you remember,

[00:23:20] let me do another callback

[00:23:22] to Atlanta

[00:23:22] when Phaedra was trying

[00:23:24] to explain

[00:23:25] when she got pregnant

[00:23:26] how far along she was.

[00:23:28] Mama Joyce said,

[00:23:29] when do you do?

[00:23:30] I don't know,

[00:23:31] Mama Joyce,

[00:23:32] but he about to come up

[00:23:33] out of here.

[00:23:33] They said,

[00:23:35] how many months are you?

[00:23:36] Six,

[00:23:37] seven?

[00:23:37] Oh,

[00:23:38] hell no.

[00:23:39] Nity said,

[00:23:39] that's dumb.

[00:23:40] Um,

[00:23:41] what?

[00:23:42] Dr.

[00:23:43] Sure.

[00:23:43] Okay.

[00:23:44] Yeah.

[00:23:45] That's the type of math

[00:23:46] that it's giving.

[00:23:47] However,

[00:23:49] I kind of like Jazzy.

[00:23:50] So it's like,

[00:23:51] okay,

[00:23:51] I'm going to giddy up

[00:23:52] on this ride.

[00:23:52] I also love Kiana

[00:23:54] giving us the antidote

[00:23:55] that before Greg,

[00:23:57] because we know

[00:23:57] Kiana loved Greg

[00:23:58] and his two kids.

[00:24:00] I don't know

[00:24:01] if I love Greg.

[00:24:02] I know.

[00:24:03] Kiana loved Greg.

[00:24:05] I don't love Greg.

[00:24:07] Kiana,

[00:24:08] I mean,

[00:24:08] outside of the drug dealer,

[00:24:10] Kiana was messing

[00:24:11] with an NFL player

[00:24:13] who had two kids.

[00:24:14] It might have been,

[00:24:15] um,

[00:24:16] you know,

[00:24:16] the same one

[00:24:17] that Mia messed with.

[00:24:18] So what team

[00:24:18] did he play for?

[00:24:21] The Rams?

[00:24:22] Oh!

[00:24:23] I don't know.

[00:24:24] But,

[00:24:25] okay,

[00:24:25] this is where

[00:24:26] I wanted to pop Mia

[00:24:27] because

[00:24:27] if we are going

[00:24:29] on the timeline,

[00:24:30] right,

[00:24:31] because

[00:24:33] Kiana been with Greg

[00:24:34] for how many years?

[00:24:35] So,

[00:24:36] like,

[00:24:37] Mia,

[00:24:37] when was this?

[00:24:38] Because you would have

[00:24:39] been married to Gordon

[00:24:39] because you,

[00:24:40] like,

[00:24:41] the math ain't math,

[00:24:43] and Mia,

[00:24:43] why are you even

[00:24:44] saying that?

[00:24:44] Well,

[00:24:45] she already told you

[00:24:45] she keep multiple men

[00:24:47] at a time.

[00:24:48] So,

[00:24:48] look,

[00:24:49] that could have been

[00:24:49] some of her multiple men.

[00:24:50] I mean,

[00:24:51] there was a lot

[00:24:52] of little highlights.

[00:24:53] So the whole birthday

[00:24:54] celebration

[00:24:54] for Wendy,

[00:24:55] I was loving.

[00:24:56] The dance contest.

[00:24:58] Since we're talking

[00:24:59] about music,

[00:25:00] oh my gosh,

[00:25:01] Ashley Darby's song

[00:25:02] still suck.

[00:25:03] It still suck.

[00:25:04] Look,

[00:25:04] I like the song,

[00:25:05] the little thing,

[00:25:06] the bops that

[00:25:07] Giselle came out with

[00:25:09] better than Ashley.

[00:25:11] Healing and thriving.

[00:25:12] Thriving and healing.

[00:25:13] Healing and thriving.

[00:25:15] But the bop was not bopping.

[00:25:18] I mean,

[00:25:18] it just sounded

[00:25:19] like a go-go band

[00:25:20] behind her same song.

[00:25:22] So she needs to go back

[00:25:23] and try it again.

[00:25:25] Maybe

[00:25:26] she can go find candy

[00:25:27] and you can go find

[00:25:28] some beats

[00:25:29] and we could go

[00:25:30] get in the studio.

[00:25:32] You don't remember

[00:25:33] that reference?

[00:25:34] From Nini and them.

[00:25:35] I do.

[00:25:35] I do.

[00:25:36] I got it.

[00:25:38] It was,

[00:25:39] first of all,

[00:25:40] Wendy's body,

[00:25:42] T.

[00:25:43] Wendy,

[00:25:43] I mean.

[00:25:44] Her outfits were great.

[00:25:46] She looked amazing.

[00:25:48] She came with it.

[00:25:49] I don't know

[00:25:49] who's her designer,

[00:25:50] but yeah,

[00:25:51] she comes with the outfits.

[00:25:53] Yeah,

[00:25:53] she,

[00:25:53] it was funny

[00:25:54] seeing the flashbacks

[00:25:57] and then the flash forward.

[00:25:58] But listen,

[00:25:59] I got to give it

[00:26:00] to Dr. Wendy

[00:26:01] because her body

[00:26:01] was T.

[00:26:02] The outfits was T.

[00:26:04] She looks good

[00:26:05] for 40.

[00:26:07] It was a fun little episode,

[00:26:10] couple of episodes.

[00:26:11] First of all,

[00:26:11] she looks good

[00:26:11] for any age,

[00:26:13] but she definitely

[00:26:14] looks good for 40.

[00:26:15] Another standout

[00:26:16] of these two episodes

[00:26:17] was seeing

[00:26:18] Giselle's daughters

[00:26:19] graduate.

[00:26:22] It really was.

[00:26:23] Or it was like

[00:26:23] the crowning ceremony.

[00:26:25] I was like,

[00:26:25] I don't really know

[00:26:26] what that was.

[00:26:26] I went to Philadelphia

[00:26:27] public schools.

[00:26:28] We just had a graduation.

[00:26:30] So I never,

[00:26:31] do you know what

[00:26:32] like the crowning ceremony is?

[00:26:35] I ain't never heard of that

[00:26:35] in my life,

[00:26:36] y'all.

[00:26:36] So maybe it was like

[00:26:37] a personal thing

[00:26:38] that they did.

[00:26:41] Yeah.

[00:26:42] And then when Giselle

[00:26:42] was talking about

[00:26:43] or explaining to us

[00:26:45] about Jazzy's man,

[00:26:46] like,

[00:26:46] well,

[00:26:46] girl,

[00:26:47] I said,

[00:26:48] well,

[00:26:48] Giselle,

[00:26:49] we probably shouldn't

[00:26:50] talk about

[00:26:51] cheating partners

[00:26:52] past the holy

[00:26:53] who were Brian.

[00:26:54] Okay,

[00:26:54] we probably shouldn't

[00:26:55] do that,

[00:26:56] Giselle.

[00:26:56] Well,

[00:26:57] that's why I thought

[00:26:57] it was funny

[00:26:58] when she was talking

[00:26:59] about TJ

[00:27:00] and his

[00:27:02] and his religious

[00:27:03] celibacy.

[00:27:04] Because she was like,

[00:27:05] yeah,

[00:27:05] look,

[00:27:06] okay.

[00:27:07] It was the shade

[00:27:08] for me when,

[00:27:10] well,

[00:27:10] again,

[00:27:11] Stacey is sharing

[00:27:11] more about TJ

[00:27:12] giving his government,

[00:27:14] sharing his acting pages,

[00:27:15] and he has a whole list

[00:27:16] of acting jobs,

[00:27:18] ER,

[00:27:19] all these other places.

[00:27:20] Wendy was like,

[00:27:21] oh,

[00:27:21] he does,

[00:27:21] wait,

[00:27:22] what was the word

[00:27:22] Wendy used?

[00:27:23] Background,

[00:27:24] extra word.

[00:27:24] Background.

[00:27:25] Extra,

[00:27:25] he's an extra,

[00:27:26] he does background

[00:27:27] roles.

[00:27:27] She's like,

[00:27:27] no,

[00:27:28] he has roles,

[00:27:28] dude.

[00:27:29] Like,

[00:27:29] that was,

[00:27:30] that was hilarious.

[00:27:32] And then cut to the clip

[00:27:33] of him,

[00:27:34] quick clip,

[00:27:35] oh,

[00:27:35] I'm on the set of

[00:27:36] Grey's Anatomy.

[00:27:37] So,

[00:27:38] 2016.

[00:27:39] Right,

[00:27:40] and first of all,

[00:27:40] ER has been,

[00:27:41] has been off the air

[00:27:42] for at least 10 or 15 years.

[00:27:44] So,

[00:27:45] don't say that.

[00:27:45] But let me just say this

[00:27:46] real quick.

[00:27:47] Back in the day,

[00:27:49] I don't know if it was

[00:27:50] Wednesday or Thursday night,

[00:27:52] I used to live

[00:27:54] for some ER.

[00:27:56] I like Dr. Carrie.

[00:27:58] I'm so sorry

[00:27:59] you're so old

[00:27:59] that you,

[00:28:00] like,

[00:28:00] I just watched it,

[00:28:01] like,

[00:28:01] on reruns on TNT.

[00:28:03] Like,

[00:28:03] yeah,

[00:28:04] so sorry.

[00:28:05] After Trump.

[00:28:06] I was,

[00:28:07] I was,

[00:28:08] I was watching the WB

[00:28:10] and you were watching,

[00:28:11] like,

[00:28:11] CBS.

[00:28:12] Sorry.

[00:28:12] Not the WB.

[00:28:13] Okay,

[00:28:14] I was,

[00:28:14] well,

[00:28:14] I was watching UPN.

[00:28:17] I was watching Freeform.

[00:28:21] You know,

[00:28:22] I have no idea

[00:28:24] what that is.

[00:28:25] I know.

[00:28:25] See,

[00:28:26] because I was,

[00:28:26] I,

[00:28:26] like,

[00:28:27] my favorite show

[00:28:28] growing up

[00:28:28] was Grown-ish.

[00:28:30] And,

[00:28:30] um,

[00:28:32] so,

[00:28:33] you know.

[00:28:34] Not the spinoff.

[00:28:36] Oh,

[00:28:36] the spinoff.

[00:28:37] Oh,

[00:28:37] okay.

[00:28:38] Freeform.

[00:28:38] Okay.

[00:28:39] Yeah.

[00:28:40] Anyway,

[00:28:41] um,

[00:28:42] it was a lovely

[00:28:43] little call out

[00:28:44] and I thought it was

[00:28:45] so,

[00:28:46] uh,

[00:28:46] poignant and touching

[00:28:47] that,

[00:28:47] um,

[00:28:49] Jamal actually

[00:28:50] talked about

[00:28:50] Giselle's father

[00:28:51] and the impact

[00:28:52] that he had

[00:28:53] in the twins' life.

[00:28:55] So,

[00:28:55] I thought that was

[00:28:56] a great little

[00:28:56] call out back

[00:28:57] to her pops.

[00:28:59] Absolutely.

[00:29:00] Uh,

[00:29:01] because,

[00:29:01] you know,

[00:29:01] at one point in time,

[00:29:02] what,

[00:29:03] was it him?

[00:29:04] But yeah,

[00:29:05] it was,

[00:29:06] yeah,

[00:29:06] it's still crazy

[00:29:07] just thinking about

[00:29:08] Giselle losing her father

[00:29:09] and like,

[00:29:09] you know,

[00:29:10] all of these seasons,

[00:29:11] the ninth season,

[00:29:11] it's the first season

[00:29:12] we haven't seen him

[00:29:13] and he's definitely

[00:29:14] always shown up

[00:29:15] for important moments

[00:29:16] like this

[00:29:17] and it just makes you

[00:29:18] think.

[00:29:18] Yeah,

[00:29:19] I think my favorite

[00:29:21] standout moment

[00:29:22] was when he told her,

[00:29:23] um,

[00:29:23] like,

[00:29:24] no,

[00:29:24] I don't think

[00:29:24] you should get back

[00:29:25] with Jamal.

[00:29:26] I don't think

[00:29:26] that's a good decision.

[00:29:28] Dad was not happy.

[00:29:29] Yes.

[00:29:30] He was not happy at all.

[00:29:32] But I am

[00:29:33] watching the previews

[00:29:34] for episode seven.

[00:29:35] I'm excited to see,

[00:29:37] uh,

[00:29:38] some of these things

[00:29:39] that will be unfolding.

[00:29:40] We're getting

[00:29:40] court hearings.

[00:29:41] We are getting

[00:29:43] ink

[00:29:43] and G

[00:29:45] squaring off.

[00:29:47] So we are

[00:29:48] definitely in

[00:29:49] for a treat.

[00:29:51] Yes,

[00:29:51] I am looking forward

[00:29:52] to it.

[00:29:53] Um,

[00:29:53] I hope everything

[00:29:54] goes smoothly.

[00:29:55] I hope Gordon

[00:29:56] gets better

[00:29:56] and I don't know,

[00:29:58] she,

[00:29:58] she choosing

[00:29:58] like her balance.

[00:30:00] I hope it maintains

[00:30:02] because having both

[00:30:03] of them in the same room

[00:30:04] going at it,

[00:30:06] we'll see,

[00:30:07] honey.

[00:30:08] Let's see if Gordon

[00:30:08] got another line.

[00:30:09] If you want

[00:30:10] a fair,

[00:30:11] go to a

[00:30:12] carnival.

[00:30:15] You want fair,

[00:30:16] go to a carnival.

[00:30:17] Uh,

[00:30:18] and

[00:30:18] housewife news though,

[00:30:20] Mia and Inc

[00:30:21] were trending

[00:30:22] over the weekend.

[00:30:23] Allegedly,

[00:30:24] they unfollowed

[00:30:25] each other.

[00:30:27] I'm sure they have

[00:30:28] unfollowed

[00:30:29] each other a lot.

[00:30:31] Mia looks like

[00:30:31] he loves

[00:30:32] volatile relationships

[00:30:33] and why would we

[00:30:34] think this would be

[00:30:34] any different?

[00:30:36] Um,

[00:30:36] I'm sure Jacqueline

[00:30:37] will be right there

[00:30:38] to pick up the pieces.

[00:30:40] Okay.

[00:30:40] Listen,

[00:30:41] Jacqueline is working

[00:30:42] with Mr. PP

[00:30:42] right now.

[00:30:43] Okay.

[00:30:45] And she is

[00:30:46] here to stay,

[00:30:47] but regardless,

[00:30:48] we're so happy

[00:30:49] to have you back

[00:30:49] and we're so happy

[00:30:51] to be covering

[00:30:52] Real Housewives of Potomac

[00:30:53] season nine,

[00:30:54] episode five and six.

[00:30:56] We'll be back

[00:30:56] in two weeks

[00:30:57] covering episode

[00:30:58] seven and eight.

[00:31:00] Thank you guys

[00:31:00] so much for listening.

[00:31:02] We know it's been

[00:31:02] a rough week.

[00:31:04] Oh,

[00:31:05] self-care,

[00:31:06] honey,

[00:31:06] self-care.

[00:31:07] We will keep

[00:31:07] moving

[00:31:08] and we will

[00:31:10] keep positive

[00:31:11] and we will

[00:31:12] keep doing the

[00:31:12] things that

[00:31:13] uplift us

[00:31:14] and support us.

[00:31:16] We love you.

[00:31:17] Thank you for listening.

[00:31:18] We'll be back.

[00:31:19] Bye.

[00:31:21] It's the Purple Pants.

[00:31:22] It's the Purple Pants.

[00:31:23] It's the Purple Pants Podcast.

[00:31:26] You better get your headphones

[00:31:27] and listen up quick.

[00:31:28] It's the Purple Pants Podcast.

[00:31:30] You better listen

[00:31:31] in public,

[00:31:32] might make your stomach hurt.

[00:31:34] It's the Purple Pants Podcast.

[00:31:35] She's trying to unwind.

[00:31:37] You better get that box wide.

[00:31:39] It's the Purple Pants Podcast.

[00:31:40] She's trying to get your snack.

[00:31:42] You better hurry

[00:31:43] right back though.

[00:31:44] It's the Purple Pants.

[00:31:45] It's the Purple Pants.

[00:31:47] Peace.
