[00:13:46] He stumbled a little or like it was a little weird

[00:13:50] At his reasoning and

[00:13:52] I feel like that's a good

[00:13:54] Point on his part

[00:13:56] I also feel

[00:13:58] Like when Venus started scrambling

[00:14:00] And Tim kind of

[00:14:02] I don't know, I just really felt like Tim

[00:14:04] Really

[00:14:06] Started playing or we got to see him play

[00:14:08] So I just feel like there are three big dogs

[00:14:10] Right now and I think that Tim

[00:14:12] Has emerged to one of them

[00:14:14] So I just wanted to know what you guys think of Tim

[00:14:16] And whether or not you think he is a big dog playing

[00:14:18] I got two things to say before

[00:14:20] Jack does his thing

[00:14:22] Jack, I know you're good

[00:14:24] First thing I had to say

[00:14:26] About his whole bring a friend

[00:14:28] And him choosing Mariah

[00:14:30] I'm sorry, him choosing Dr. Maria

[00:14:34] Was she his number one or was it really Charlie

[00:14:36] Or was it really Ben

[00:14:38] Like what was

[00:14:40] So I think when they were

[00:14:42] I think that in my opinion

[00:14:44] Tim has been talking about

[00:14:46] They talk about their kids

[00:14:48] I think that Tim feels like Maria is

[00:14:50] Solid and he can trust her

[00:14:52] And that's someone that his game

[00:14:54] Can go further with even though he might have just been

[00:14:56] Making a little closer with Ben

[00:14:58] Right, but

[00:15:00] The way communication worked though Tim

[00:15:02] Like you know

[00:15:04] If somebody might be good for you

[00:15:06] You might want to tell them

[00:15:08] But I kind of like that though

[00:15:10] I think that like

[00:15:12] Ben kind of choosing Dr. Maria

[00:15:14] Was a curve ball

[00:15:16] But

[00:15:18] You got to

[00:15:20] Tell the curve ball where to go

[00:15:22] Because Dr. Maria said hold on what to who

[00:15:24] Okay, he ain't my number one

[00:15:26] He ain't my number two

[00:15:28] I don't even know if he'd be my number three

[00:15:30] But I want to know what's your thought Jack on

[00:15:32] Tim's like Tim's

[00:15:34] Emergence

[00:15:36] Yeah, I don't

[00:15:38] I'm not super duper optimistic on Tim

[00:15:40] And

[00:15:42] I don't think he's really doing too much

[00:15:44] Wrong, but I just feel like

[00:15:46] For me the big red flag here

[00:15:48] Is that

[00:15:50] He sees Maria as his number one ally

[00:15:52] And to Maria he's like her number

[00:15:54] Three out of

[00:15:56] Four people from Sega

[00:15:58] Which to me is just

[00:16:00] I don't mind where Tim's head is at strategically

[00:16:02] But I think that's not really a great sign

[00:16:04] About your social game

[00:16:06] And I think a lot of this could have been resolved

[00:16:08] If Tim had come back from the journey

[00:16:10] And just said hey Maria they threw out this

[00:16:12] Idea

[00:16:14] You know I don't know if I

[00:16:16] I wanted to bring it to you and see what you think

[00:16:18] Like you don't have to

[00:16:20] I think communicating that to Maria

[00:16:22] It lets you kind of

[00:16:24] Parse through what the best move is

[00:16:26] Without necessarily showing that you're committed

[00:16:28] To anything other than Maria at that point

[00:16:30] Because like you said Bryce

[00:16:32] Open communication with your close

[00:16:34] What you do need to be your close ally is so important

[00:16:36] You need someone in the game that you can talk to

[00:16:38] Honestly

[00:16:40] And not worry about them going and like

[00:16:42] Leaking your info about you

[00:16:44] So yeah

[00:16:46] I'm just

[00:16:48] I think Tim is going to play

[00:16:50] Pretty hard

[00:16:52] But I just don't think he has the social capital

[00:16:54] Right now where

[00:16:56] He's going to be able to make a deep run

[00:16:58] So let me ask you this right because I'm with you Jack

[00:17:00] Because I was I'm with you right because I'm like

[00:17:02] You don't work this way

[00:17:04] But then he gets in the confessional

[00:17:06] And he says that sometimes people lock into

[00:17:08] Alliances too soon

[00:17:10] Or prematurely

[00:17:12] And so when he gave me that

[00:17:14] Foresight

[00:17:16] And I saw you and Maria talking

[00:17:18] I like that I didn't want to jump in

[00:17:20] And then when Q kind of

[00:17:22] Actually has the conversation

[00:17:24] With Maria

[00:17:26] I feel like she's talked to Q

[00:17:28] So it's

[00:17:30] Because if

[00:17:32] Could Tim have been really smart about this

[00:17:34] Because if Maria holds him at number three

[00:17:36] And Tim came back from the journey

[00:17:38] And said hey

[00:17:40] I'll put you down

[00:17:42] You would think she might be like

[00:17:44] I'm not gonna trust it but the fact that Q

[00:17:46] Brought it to her now she's coming to him

[00:17:48] And he's like hey so we talked about

[00:17:50] I didn't want to say anything too much

[00:17:52] Soon I wanted you to feel people's personality

[00:17:54] Like I don't think it's the best idea

[00:17:56] But I like how it played out

[00:17:58] I'm mostly with you Bryce

[00:18:00] I don't love how it played out

[00:18:02] I get Tim's logic here

[00:18:04] Right and that's why I don't think

[00:18:06] I don't have a huge issue with it

[00:18:08] The thing is I get that

[00:18:10] You don't want to lock in too soon

[00:18:12] But you need to lock in

[00:18:14] With this rule of survivor it's like

[00:18:16] Never say no to an alliance

[00:18:18] And so Tim can come back from that journey

[00:18:20] And say hey Maria

[00:18:22] Like I said they threw this alliance

[00:18:24] Idea out to me and I want to know

[00:18:26] What you think about it

[00:18:28] If you don't want to do it then we don't have to do it

[00:18:30] But that doesn't necessarily lock you

[00:18:32] Into anything right it's just keeping Maria

[00:18:34] Informed now all of a sudden Maria is

[00:18:36] On the beach and then Tim's like

[00:18:38] Hey about four days ago

[00:18:40] I was in a alliance and Maria is like

[00:18:42] Maybe you could have

[00:18:44] Like given me a little heads up

[00:18:46] Right because now Maria is like

[00:18:48] I was running around all day on this beach

[00:18:50] With people that I didn't know I was in an alliance

[00:18:52] Like

[00:18:54] I would be like dude give me some sort of

[00:18:56] Heads up and I think that's the issue

[00:18:58] I don't mind Tim's thing of

[00:19:00] Let her go feel things out herself

[00:19:02] Like I don't need to put her in anything

[00:19:04] But I think there's a middle ground

[00:19:06] Where it's like just give

[00:19:08] Give her that info let her do what she wants with it

[00:19:11] And maybe that's why that lack of communication

[00:19:13] Is why Tim is not Maria's number one

[00:19:16] In return

[00:19:18] Yeah I mean just interesting to see

[00:19:20] But again I think

[00:19:22] He we got to see

[00:19:24] More of Tim

[00:19:26] How he thinks how he moves

[00:19:28] Like would he and it's the first time

[00:19:30] We really got to see more of him

[00:19:46] But I was like what a funny choice of

[00:19:48] Words for the time that you're going to get it

[00:19:52] To talk about

[00:19:54] Because Bryce you also mentioned

[00:19:56] All these people coming together

[00:19:58] And these big characters rising

[00:20:00] And I think the list of big characters

[00:20:02] Are a little bit I think it's longer

[00:20:04] Than what you mentioned because I see

[00:20:06] The Tevens the sodas

[00:20:08] Q I see Kenzie I see Ben

[00:20:10] So many of these like

[00:20:12] Big characters big personalities

[00:20:14] But also there are people that are ready to

[00:20:16] Just like sit and wait and snipe

[00:20:18] Like I feel like Ben he's still like

[00:20:20] Sitting and calculating and waiting

[00:20:22] I'm still not going to say a name

[00:20:24] I'm a sniper but like

[00:20:26] The Q's the even hunters like

[00:20:28] You see these big dogs coming

[00:20:30] It's almost like Game of Thrones when

[00:20:32] All of the like lords and people

[00:20:34] Will come together and it's like wow

[00:20:36] I can't wait to see how this

[00:20:40] But that's why I feel I think a lot of

[00:20:42] People are playing a little too hard right now

[00:20:44] And that's why I feel really good about like

[00:20:46] The Ben's and the Charlie's and the Tiffany's

[00:20:48] Right now where I think literally as long

[00:20:50] As you're if you're on this beach

[00:20:52] And you're just a chill person and you're not

[00:20:54] Doing too much you're going to go deep

[00:20:56] Because a lot of people are I think playing

[00:48:16] you could theoretically be a bad player and have made it this far in the game and effectively you you did hide because you want a lot of

[00:48:24] not like you actively hid but you were not exposed to the challenges of the game because you were safe. You might have been hiding in plain sight.

[00:56:21] And can be like really in attack mode just because they want this challenge and I just think it leads to this situation where dichotomy it's just yeah this dichotomy that's really out of balance where the vulnerable players are just can't really do a whole lot

[00:56:42] of things that are safe can like control everything.

[00:56:45] And I just don't think it's that I would rather like why can't we just have a merge of regular merge where everyone can vote.

[00:56:52] That's where interesting stuff happens and that's where there's room to make bigger flips.

[00:56:57] I just feel like with seven out of 13 people being safe it sort of creates this like stagnation where there's not really as many big moves that can be made because people are safe and I don't know I just think it's a little bit.

[00:57:09] But didn't people have that same thought process prior to the new era like with the voting blocks.

[00:57:16] Remember we like we they got to break up the voting blocks which is why I feel like they've gone to this new method of the three tribes so it's that like these voting blocks don't happen and that the season is just a

[00:57:31] Well I don't know when I think voting box though I think that implies that the game is very fluid and people are jumping around forming new blocks which I actually think was very good quality driver to walk in.

[00:57:46] They meant by the voting blocks was that like they stack them up and then it's like right and then they just kind of like plow through the game.

[00:57:56] Well I don't know that's sort of been happening anyways so I don't think that has to do with how they construct the merge.

[00:58:05] I don't know I'm not really a fan of it and then obviously we see in the teaser too it's like we're going to have another where they split up into two groups.

[00:58:12] Well now that now that's where it pisses me off. Let's start getting these individual immunities like I want to say exactly but I also feel like they do that maybe to protect.

[00:58:25] I feel like they do that to maybe like protect the more athletic people that could then potentially I don't know I feel like they do it's a kind of.

[00:58:34] Still shake and weed up a little bit where it's a game of luck in the sense of you're safe from the vote this half is safe.

[00:58:43] The other half isn't so it kind of like if we want to get Wendell out and he wins it kind of like I don't know for me I don't mind it as much though I do still like the luck of the game.

[00:58:53] I don't hate like I don't mind it within itself but nothing that bothers me is now we don't have like an actual merge vote until the final 10 and I love some of the best votes are like final 11 final 12 final 13 where there's like big groups that could really flip.

[00:59:11] And so we don't have a big vote until like I guess in like this season it's like.

[00:59:17] Okay all of pre-merge the most people or this season this era all of the pre-merge the most people available to vote is you know a group of six and then you get to the merge there's only six people you can vote for then you have a swap there's only six people you can vote for and then you get to the final 10 and then sure there's a couple of tribals of like 1098 but then you're back and it's like so basically the whole season.

[00:59:40] Is you're picking out of this group of six which just limits at most which limits these options but.

[00:59:48] I feel like I asked you this every season but in those smaller numbers does that raise the the chance that your shot in the dark is higher.

[01:00:42] Yeah I mean some of the best votes in the new era I feel like came out like the final eight the final nine the final seven and obviously those are more crunch time portions of the game where those big moves maybe need to happen so I don't want to put it all on those bigger numbers but I just think a lot more exciting things can happen when everybody is an option.

[01:01:01] And I think there's something to be said about like the scramble that is so exciting to watch around the merge but seven of these players don't need to scramble at all.

[01:01:12] Like just that paranoia that seeps in when you know you could be an option makes the game a lot more fluid but when seven people are all safe they could be like alright well we're all safe so we came vote for each other.

[01:15:59] And so she was like, yeah, I'm not going to be stuck with Sega and wanted to be stuck within that but it's really branch out a little bit.

[01:16:06] I think I think this is a great case study what looking at Sega compared to looking at Riva and just understanding that once you go to the merge.

[01:16:17] In Riva's case, they're like no we're unbreakable that's almost like our naviti strong that we had going. We were acting like it really we had a lot of disposable pieces.
