[00:02:12] We are back.

[00:02:14] The baby boys are here.

[00:02:15] Join the winner of Ghost Island, and this is the merge episode.

[00:02:20] So the first merge boot of Winners at War, Wendeezy Holland.

[00:02:24] How are you?

[00:02:25] We didn't see a merge boot last night.

[00:02:30] That is true.

[00:02:31] But I'm doing good.

[00:02:32] Thank you.

[00:02:34] We have the Jackery of the Atkins.

[00:02:37] You might know him from Circle Season 2, or The Floor is Lava, or you might see him getting

[00:02:42] these ads on the Instagram, okay?

[00:02:44] You better get you a little sippy cup, the baby boy Jack Atkins.

[00:02:47] What's popping?

[00:02:48] What's popping?

[00:02:50] You also, you know, nothing too good.

[00:02:54] You might also know me from this week's episode of Let's Make a Deal.

[00:02:59] So now it's Paramount Plus.

[00:03:02] Oh.

[00:03:03] I haven't really been plugging that, because I don't want to look.

[00:03:07] I don't know if that's really the next best move in my reality TV career.

[00:03:12] But you know, I had to go pay my rent, so I had to hop on there and make a deal with

[00:03:16] Wayne Brady.

[00:03:17] Listen, Jack, that's three shows under your belt.

[00:03:21] You trying to come from Wendell's chain, okay?

[00:03:23] You three more, three more, you're going to have more shows than Wendell.

[00:03:27] Not three more.

[00:03:27] But the trajectory I'm on, I'm going to end up on like, we're going downhill.

[00:03:34] You want to do the People's Court?

[00:03:36] I might end up on the People's Court.

[00:03:39] I might end up on like Dr. Phil or something, but we'll see.

[00:03:43] Jack, when does that air?

[00:03:46] It came out this week.

[00:03:48] Oh.

[00:03:48] Yeah.

[00:03:49] It's on Paramount Plus.

[00:03:51] Okay.

[00:03:52] Deal, what is it?

[00:03:53] Deal or no deal?

[00:03:54] Let's Make a Deal.

[00:03:55] Let's Make a Deal.

[00:03:56] Okay.

[00:03:56] Hey, we're going to have to check that out tonight after this episode.

[00:04:00] But we are here.

[00:04:02] The baby boys just landed back from Nashville.

[00:04:04] Shout out to Nashville.

[00:04:06] Nashville did its thing.

[00:04:08] That was my first time in Nashville.

[00:04:10] And, you know, there are cities that I go to, Wendy, Z, and Jack, that it's like, New York, not for me.

[00:04:15] LA, not for me.

[00:04:17] Dallas might be for me.

[00:04:20] Tennessee, Nashville, Tennessee.

[00:04:23] It might be for me.

[00:04:25] Okay.

[00:04:25] Nashville, maybe I'm a little ignorant.

[00:04:29] I don't know why I didn't realize.

[00:04:33] Nashville is a city.

[00:04:35] Like a city, city.

[00:04:37] Like, the vibes were immaculate.

[00:04:39] The people were very friendly.

[00:04:40] The weather was nice.

[00:04:42] The food was great.

[00:04:43] The food was good.

[00:04:45] The survivors that came out were amazing.

[00:04:48] The Purple Pants Posse.

[00:04:49] All the amazing people that came out at East Beer Works in Nashville.

[00:04:56] East Nashville Beer Works.

[00:04:58] East Nashville, Bill.

[00:05:00] East Nashville Beer Works.

[00:05:04] Shout out to y'all, Jack.

[00:05:05] We were like outside.

[00:05:06] We were like, it was giving like backyard vibes with the lights.

[00:05:10] Big TV.

[00:05:11] We had Kevin from Big Brother.

[00:05:13] We had Riley.

[00:05:14] We had America.

[00:05:15] We had Corey.

[00:05:16] We had Q.

[00:05:17] Listen.

[00:05:18] Biggie.

[00:05:18] We had Jordan.

[00:05:19] The winner of Killer.

[00:05:20] No Deal Island.

[00:05:21] We had Michael from the Traders.

[00:05:23] Wow.

[00:05:23] Let me tell you about Q.

[00:05:25] Q.

[00:05:26] Jack.

[00:05:27] So the parking lot wasn't that big.

[00:05:30] So Wendell rented a truck.

[00:05:33] Wendell said he was in Nashville.

[00:05:35] He wanted to feel like.

[00:05:37] So Wendell had.

[00:05:38] He had a.

[00:05:40] A F-150.

[00:05:42] Okay.

[00:05:43] We found parking, but we had to cross the street.

[00:05:46] Q and his Q skirt decides that his next career venture is a crossing guard.

[00:05:52] He crossed everyone to get across the street.

[00:05:57] Bro.

[00:05:58] One car was about to go.

[00:05:59] He said, big mistake.

[00:06:01] Wait.

[00:06:02] Busy road too.

[00:06:03] He stopped traffic.

[00:06:05] I'm like, Q.

[00:06:08] But listen.

[00:06:09] Did the car stop?

[00:06:11] Yeah.

[00:06:11] It was like four brothers walking across the street in Tennessee.

[00:06:14] I'm like, you know what?

[00:06:15] Be careful, Q.

[00:06:17] Yeah.

[00:06:18] But Nashville was something special.

[00:06:20] And that is our fourth stop on our 10 stop city of the BWP Tour 47.

[00:06:28] The baby boys are headed to Nashville next week.

[00:06:32] We've got some special.

[00:06:33] New Orleans.

[00:06:35] Listen, I'm still on Nashville time.

[00:06:37] We're headed to New Orleans next week.

[00:06:39] Tickets are available.

[00:06:40] We've got some special friends coming.

[00:06:42] And I'm hearing this is going to be a very special episode.

[00:06:46] I'm, you know, have we ever podcasted live, Wendell?

[00:06:51] We never have.

[00:06:52] And I think we want to try it this time with our good, good friend, Phil from the Survivor

[00:06:59] Specialist.

[00:07:00] He said he's coming by and we're going to try.

[00:07:04] We're going to try to keep our numbers cozy and do somewhat of a live pod.

[00:07:09] We're going to see how that works.

[00:07:10] Yeah.

[00:07:10] So space is limited.

[00:07:11] We're going for an intimate setting.

[00:07:13] Cause you know, I ain't never podcast live after episode like this before.

[00:07:16] So we're going to keep the vibes limited and spacious.

[00:07:20] But if you want to come join us, we'll be in New Orleans next week.

[00:07:22] The tickets are available in the BWP Instagram or Twitter, but that's not it.

[00:07:28] Jackery.

[00:07:28] After that, we're headed to Chicago from Chicago.

[00:07:32] The baby boys will be in our hometown of Philadelphia on the week of Thanksgiving.

[00:07:37] So come get your gobble gobble with the baby boys.

[00:07:39] And that's not it.

[00:07:41] From there, we're going to Boston.

[00:07:42] From Boston, we go into Washington DC.

[00:07:45] Now, Wendy Z, Boston normally shows out for us.

[00:07:50] But I think Washington DC said, Boston, we got to show y'all something.

[00:07:55] Because Boston and Washington DC and Philadelphia are shaping up to be epic, epic, epic, epic.

[00:08:04] And if you've never been, come on.

[00:08:07] And I believe the tickets are available.

[00:08:09] We are headed to New York for the season finale.

[00:08:12] We're headed back to Barry Park in Brooklyn.

[00:08:15] So tickets are available.

[00:08:17] The BWP Tour 47 continues.

[00:08:19] Don't have no FOMO.

[00:08:20] Click the link now and get your ticket.

[00:08:22] Shout out to Jimmy G from the Purple Pants Posse that was in the building last night.

[00:08:29] Yeah.

[00:08:29] Nashville was so much fun.

[00:08:30] Jack.

[00:08:30] Can I say a few things?

[00:08:33] Hold on.

[00:08:34] Hold on.

[00:08:34] Wait, wait.

[00:08:35] Wait.

[00:08:36] Before you start, Jack, our live pod is not going to be Survivor News if you have anything to do with that.

[00:08:41] It's not Survivor News.

[00:08:42] Spring break.

[00:08:43] It's a little 20-minute drop with Bill.

[00:08:45] But go ahead.

[00:08:48] First and foremost, I wanted to say it's crazy to think you've only done four out of the ten stops.

[00:08:54] Because from my perspective and being at one, I'm like, you guys already hit New York.

[00:08:59] You hit Dallas.

[00:09:00] You hit L.A.

[00:09:01] You hit Nashville.

[00:09:02] That's like a season's worth of parties.

[00:09:06] So I'm like, the fact you've got six more coming up, if you haven't been to one yet,

[00:09:10] you better make sure you get your tail on down to a Bryce and Wynn.

[00:09:14] But, Wendell, you did touch.

[00:09:16] Look, Phil, you know, I like the Survivor Specialist.

[00:09:20] And I'm going to let you have, you know, I couldn't make it.

[00:09:23] I couldn't make it this long.

[00:09:24] I'm going to let you have your 20 minutes.

[00:09:26] But, Phil, if you try to replace me, I'll see you in the ring.

[00:09:35] Oh.

[00:09:36] Well, Jack, I don't, we see how that turned around.

[00:09:40] He was against Brett.

[00:09:41] So, Brett, I won't see you in the ring again.

[00:09:45] Okay.

[00:09:45] You got the ring.

[00:09:46] Jack, Wendell and I watched that together.

[00:09:49] We, I couldn't watch it.

[00:09:50] But listen, yeah, it's only been four stops, Jack, but it feels like 100.

[00:09:54] And I am happy to report, because, you know, I keep an honest open here.

[00:09:58] Wendeezy and I haven't fought on any of these tours.

[00:10:02] We're doing great.

[00:10:03] However, we did run into a little bump in the airport this morning.

[00:10:09] Well, it wasn't my fault, you know.

[00:10:12] You know what, Jack?

[00:10:14] I'm checking in.

[00:10:17] I'm checking into my flight.

[00:10:19] First of all, I'm going to preface this by saying, y'all know I'm cheap.

[00:10:22] Okay.

[00:10:23] So, I'm checking into the flight.

[00:10:25] Fortunately, I got the status, so I go to the preferred lane, you know.

[00:10:29] And I have three bags.

[00:10:32] And my first two are free.

[00:10:34] But the third one will be $150 for the bag on American.

[00:10:39] That's great.

[00:10:40] And so, you were like, I'm guessing you were like, Bryce, you want to.

[00:10:44] Which, but I got a little status too, Jack.

[00:10:48] Okay.

[00:10:48] So, my first bag is free.

[00:10:52] So, I'm at the front of the line.

[00:10:54] And it's one of these rolly bags that I have brought it on the plane before.

[00:11:00] In airports that aren't as strict.

[00:11:02] But anyway, it's a little bigger than you're supposed to bring and put above, right?

[00:11:05] So, the lady that's checking me in, she's like, nah, that's too big.

[00:11:10] And I'm like, well, I brought it here up top, so why can't I?

[00:11:15] She's like, no, it's too big.

[00:11:16] You can't.

[00:11:17] I'm like, all right, fine.

[00:11:18] Well, my brother's on his way.

[00:11:19] We'll give him the bag.

[00:11:20] He'll check it.

[00:11:21] And then I see her typing in her little computer.

[00:11:25] And I walk away.

[00:11:26] Okay.

[00:11:27] Important to remember.

[00:11:28] So, I come.

[00:11:30] No.

[00:11:30] No.

[00:11:31] So, I get in the TSA pre-line.

[00:11:34] And I go through that.

[00:11:36] And when I'm putting it through a conveyor belt, these fools have plastic bins that you

[00:11:42] have to put every bag in.

[00:11:43] It doesn't fit in the bin.

[00:11:45] He's like, no, this is too big.

[00:11:47] You got to go check it.

[00:11:49] And at that point, I'm trying to get through with it.

[00:11:52] At that point, I hit Bryce like, yo, you here?

[00:11:54] What's up?

[00:11:55] They're playing games.

[00:11:57] Bryce is like, I'm here.

[00:11:59] So, I give Bryce the bag.

[00:12:01] And I turn and leave.

[00:12:05] Okay?

[00:12:05] You hear this?

[00:12:06] Jack, he rushed me out to Uber.

[00:12:08] I come find him.

[00:12:09] I'm like, hey.

[00:12:10] All right.

[00:12:10] I'm like, I'll go check the bag.

[00:12:12] I'll go check the bag.

[00:12:13] Jack, I turn around.

[00:12:15] Window is nowhere to be found.

[00:12:18] Because, Jack, I'm saying.

[00:12:19] Because you knew they were looking.

[00:12:21] They had their eyes on you, it sounds like.

[00:12:24] She had her eye on me.

[00:12:26] And, you know, Bryce has to check it all and do all that stuff.

[00:12:29] And I'm trying to go, you know.

[00:12:31] I turned around.

[00:12:32] You was going, Jack.

[00:12:33] So, listen.

[00:12:34] What I do, I put my headphones on.

[00:12:38] Play the episode of Survivor.

[00:12:39] And I go sit at the gate.

[00:12:42] He's skipping an important detail, Jack.

[00:12:45] I'm at Hattie B's Hot Chicken in the airport.

[00:12:48] I order extra chicken.

[00:12:50] I'm like, yo, Bryce, I'm at the chicken spot in the airport.

[00:12:54] Listen.

[00:12:54] I'm letting him know where I am so that when he gets through,

[00:12:57] he can come have a seat with me.

[00:12:59] I looked around for Hattie B's.

[00:13:01] I didn't see it.

[00:13:02] Then that was it.

[00:13:03] Jack, no.

[00:13:04] All he did was gave it a heart.

[00:13:07] So then the story gets even more interesting.

[00:13:09] Okay.

[00:13:10] Because.

[00:13:12] I walked to my terminal.

[00:13:13] Okay.

[00:13:14] And I'm like, yo, Perp, where you at?

[00:13:17] Perp, where you at?

[00:13:18] Perp's like, I'm in the terminal.

[00:13:20] I'm like, I'm looking around.

[00:13:21] Where are you?

[00:13:21] I'm in the terminal.

[00:13:22] I'm like, it's terminal 16.

[00:13:24] He's like, oh, I'm at terminal 13.

[00:13:26] I'm just, I'm in the terminal.

[00:13:28] Who wants to sit with all of them people?

[00:13:30] So anyway, they call group two.

[00:13:32] I'll start the board.

[00:13:34] As I'm boarding, Wendell's off to the side with a security guard and a dog.

[00:13:41] Am I true?

[00:13:43] First of all, Jack, sometimes the situation, I get nervous.

[00:13:46] And so maybe I'm not the friend to call for help because I see the dog in a security guard and window.

[00:13:53] I scan my boarding pass and I say, you good?

[00:13:58] Jack, it wasn't that serious.

[00:14:00] I look at my phone to get my ticket and the ticket is no longer on my phone.

[00:14:06] I say, eh, eh.

[00:14:08] So I'm like, I'm supposed to board with group three.

[00:14:10] And I'm like, I don't even have my ticket, my man.

[00:14:13] He said, you got to go talk to her.

[00:14:14] So I'm talking to the ticketing agent.

[00:14:17] There's no dog.

[00:14:18] And she's like, where's your bag?

[00:14:22] I'm like, what are you talking about?

[00:14:24] She's like, I'm like, my backpack?

[00:14:26] I got it.

[00:14:27] She's like, no, no, no.

[00:14:28] Where is, where's your rolly bag?

[00:14:31] I'm like, my brother checked it in.

[00:14:35] I arrived early.

[00:14:37] He arrived after me.

[00:14:38] The lady was giving me a hard time.

[00:14:39] I gave it to him.

[00:14:40] He checked it.

[00:14:41] She's like, are you sure you're traveling with someone?

[00:14:44] She's just grilling me and asking me all these questions.

[00:14:46] And then I see Bryce in line.

[00:14:47] I'm like, there he is.

[00:14:49] That's my brother.

[00:14:51] I was like, I don't know.

[00:14:51] Is Bryce pretending not to know you or something?

[00:14:54] Bryce is like, you good?

[00:14:56] All right.

[00:14:57] I don't know this man.

[00:14:58] I don't know this man, sir.

[00:15:01] Then the story gets even more pettier, Jack.

[00:15:04] I get off the plane.

[00:15:07] I wait for Wendell.

[00:15:09] He just walked by me.

[00:15:10] I ain't even see him.

[00:15:12] I'm waiting.

[00:15:13] I'm like, where?

[00:15:13] I'm like, oh my God.

[00:15:14] Are they giving him a hard time on the plane?

[00:15:16] I'm literally waiting until the terminal until I hear we're getting ready to start boarding.

[00:15:21] I'm like, this MF-er.

[00:15:23] So I get down to the baggage claim.

[00:15:28] I see Wendell getting all his bags.

[00:15:30] I see my bags still.

[00:15:31] The only bag on the conveyor just going around.

[00:15:34] And I see Wendell walk out the door.

[00:15:36] I said, you know what?

[00:15:39] Jack.

[00:15:41] I got off the plane.

[00:15:42] Bryce was ahead of me on the plane.

[00:15:44] I got off the plane.

[00:15:45] I'm walking to baggage.

[00:15:46] I see Bryce nowhere to be found.

[00:15:48] So him waiting by the bathroom is either one, him in the bathroom blowing things up.

[00:15:53] We know how that goes.

[00:15:55] Okay.

[00:15:56] We know how after a flight, Bryce will, you know, for two, hiding somewhere.

[00:16:02] I didn't see him.

[00:16:03] So I walked to baggage.

[00:16:04] Just like he walked and didn't communicate with me.

[00:16:08] I get my bags and leave.

[00:16:10] The story gets deeper though, Jack.

[00:16:11] For Tag.

[00:16:13] The story gets even deeper.

[00:16:14] Wow.

[00:16:15] I'm waiting at baggage claim.

[00:16:17] That's a lie.

[00:16:19] That's a lie.

[00:16:20] Jack, I'm going down the escalator.

[00:16:22] I see Wendell with his bags rolling out the door.

[00:16:27] Listen, I'm waiting at baggage claim and the bags start coming out.

[00:16:31] I don't see Bryce anywhere in sight.

[00:16:33] But what I do see is Bryce's bag, one of the first bags to come off.

[00:16:37] I take it off the conveyor belt.

[00:16:39] Then a couple minutes later, all three of my bags come off.

[00:16:43] I take all three of them.

[00:16:44] I already called my Uber.

[00:16:46] I don't see Bryce.

[00:16:47] I put his bag back on the conveyor belt.

[00:16:52] You deserve that.

[00:16:54] You guys Ubered separately?

[00:16:57] He wasn't communicating with me.

[00:16:59] I didn't know where he was.

[00:17:00] I'm going to Armore.

[00:17:01] I feel like I knew you guys as parent and trying to settle this beef.

[00:17:06] I'm going to Armore.

[00:17:07] He's going to North Philly.

[00:17:08] I'm going to Chestnut Hill.

[00:17:10] Anyway, sorry, because people in the comments, I know.

[00:17:12] I was about to say.

[00:17:14] Someone in their YouTube comments going to be like,

[00:17:15] the recap starts at 1513.

[00:17:19] Sorry.

[00:17:19] Which is appreciated, honestly.

[00:17:21] No.

[00:17:22] Listen, shout out to you.

[00:17:23] Listen, we got a lot to get through because this episode was crazy.

[00:17:32] And I don't know if I'll go on record.

[00:17:34] I'll go on record right now.

[00:17:36] Go on the record.

[00:17:36] Season 47, I will say confidently thus far, is the kageyan of the new heiress.

[00:17:47] Yes.

[00:17:48] Whoa.

[00:17:49] Like, I mean, as I was watching last night, I'm like, they've got characters on characters

[00:17:57] on characters.

[00:17:59] Like, the way that things move, the way to think, like, I'm loving season 47.

[00:18:03] And you know how I feel about fall season.

[00:18:06] So I'm going to go on record that it's giving this season is the kageyan of the new era.

[00:18:11] Yeah.

[00:18:12] Wait, how do you feel about fall seasons?

[00:18:14] I don't love them.

[00:18:15] I think spring seasons are superior.

[00:18:18] Oh.

[00:18:19] Bryce, the only thing I'll say is, when we talk about characters, we just came off of 46.

[00:18:25] And that had characters.

[00:18:29] True.

[00:18:29] True.

[00:18:30] Now, this one, like, that had a cast.

[00:18:32] You look at them and you know their characters.

[00:18:34] This one was like sleepers.

[00:18:36] I look at the cast.

[00:18:37] I'm like, all right, they cool.

[00:18:38] They regular.

[00:18:38] But in the game, they are these characters.

[00:18:42] Yeah.

[00:18:43] And they're not scared to play.

[00:18:44] And even like, I know I'm jumping all over the place.

[00:18:46] But for me, Carolyn, when Carolyn went to Sue last night, it was like, girl, you good.

[00:18:55] Sue was like, baby, what you talking about?

[00:18:58] Don't worry.

[00:18:59] I don't know why I thought that was like so hilarious.

[00:19:04] Who?

[00:19:05] Caroline.

[00:19:10] It was funny.

[00:19:11] It was funny.

[00:19:12] Because Caroline was like, listen, they a little bit on to you.

[00:19:17] But I got you.

[00:19:20] And mind you, I love Sue.

[00:19:21] Sue was like, what?

[00:19:24] They on the board.

[00:19:26] What are they on?

[00:19:28] Sue thought Caroline knew she was 58.

[00:19:31] Hey, hey, hey.

[00:19:33] Saul believed her.

[00:19:35] Okay?

[00:19:36] Saul said, I'm 41.

[00:19:39] Saul said, we look good.

[00:19:41] We look good.

[00:19:43] And she does look good.

[00:19:44] Okay?

[00:19:46] Yeah.

[00:19:48] Honestly, yeah.

[00:19:50] Quick shout out to Caroline.

[00:19:51] That's a great ally.

[00:19:52] She found out you were lying about having an idol.

[00:19:55] And she's like, I'm proud of you.

[00:19:57] I'm proud of you.

[00:19:58] Thank you.

[00:19:59] You're the best ally I could ask for.

[00:20:00] Well, what's another response to that?

[00:20:03] Do you call them out?

[00:20:04] Do you keep it on the tuck?

[00:20:05] And then she's worried about you?

[00:20:07] I think that might be the perfect answer.

[00:20:09] Like, yo, I see you.

[00:20:11] But I got you.

[00:20:12] But we know there would be people out there who would figure that out and be like, damn, Sue didn't tell me about her idol.

[00:20:17] Like, I got to go tell people she has an idol.

[00:20:19] I don't trust Sue anymore.

[00:20:21] Yeah, there's that way to point it.

[00:20:23] That's one way to do it.

[00:20:25] Or.

[00:20:26] It's the wrong way to do it.

[00:20:27] Yeah.

[00:20:27] But I also just felt like Caroline, she had this.

[00:20:32] She was proud.

[00:20:33] Like, you could see it.

[00:20:34] Like, she was like, Sue got it?

[00:20:37] Yeah.

[00:20:38] Like, there's something infectious about Caroline.

[00:20:43] And I don't think that we've seen her story develop yet.

[00:20:46] But I like her a lot.

[00:20:53] Agreed.

[00:20:54] We kind of just, yeah, we slowly just got into the episode.

[00:20:58] Yeah, it was.

[00:20:59] I was still caught up on your Kageyan comparison.

[00:21:02] But I'm not.

[00:21:03] Do you not agree?

[00:21:04] Okay.

[00:21:05] Look, Kageyan is in a category of its own for me.

[00:21:08] And, you know, but as far as the new era goes, this has been a really good season so far.

[00:21:13] So I'm not mad at that comparison.

[00:21:17] What I did say, I love this episode too.

[00:21:21] And what stood out is, you know, they kind of brought back the classic merge, which for me was a big.

[00:21:28] A big step in the right direction.

[00:21:30] I agree.

[00:21:34] Something that confused me last night that I think, you know, I always like to give people they props.

[00:21:40] When somebody does something, I'm like, ooh, they ate.

[00:21:42] And I really feel like Jeff thought he was eating with this one.

[00:21:51] And we're going to do the immunity challenge.

[00:21:53] We're going to break it into two parts.

[00:21:55] And from the two parts, one person will only be safe.

[00:22:00] Everybody's like, oh.

[00:22:01] Oh.

[00:22:05] Isn't that how it normally goes?

[00:22:09] Like, somebody tell me what's different here.

[00:22:11] No.

[00:22:12] Like, I get it.

[00:22:12] They normally do it in smaller groups.

[00:22:14] But during individual immunity challenge, this ain't the challenge.

[00:22:18] It's emergatory.

[00:22:18] And usually they have six people safe or something like that.

[00:22:22] Yeah, that's their new era.

[00:22:24] That's them young kids.

[00:22:25] I'm from an era when you merge, only one person's safe.

[00:22:29] But the way that he was bringing it up was like, oh, we shaking the tables.

[00:22:35] You knock on, Jack.

[00:22:36] Jack, if you win, you're the only person safe.

[00:22:42] Bryce, I totally agree with you.

[00:22:46] I think the way that we need, you know, Jeff has a lot of producing powers on this show.

[00:22:51] And you know he loves the twists.

[00:22:52] And he loves to get rid of some of our classic favorite things like this normal merge.

[00:22:58] I think the way that we need to get him to bring back our favorite classics like this

[00:23:03] is you have to repackage them as a new twist.

[00:23:07] So Jeff, what if instead of three tribes, we started with two?

[00:23:14] And you'd be like, oh, my God.

[00:23:17] And only one wins immunity?

[00:23:19] And then bam.

[00:23:23] So I agree with you.

[00:23:25] But I'm like, as long as we get what we want, Jeff can think of it as whatever twist he wants.

[00:23:30] But this is what he needed.

[00:23:33] Did y'all, any of you have that same thought?

[00:23:35] Or y'all were like, oh, like, because I was, maybe I'm a little slow, but I was trying to figure out like, well, what's different?

[00:23:44] Like, I didn't get it.

[00:23:46] But yeah, it was great.

[00:23:49] You know how I feel about him?

[00:23:51] What's up, Jeff?

[00:23:52] Hey, Jeff.

[00:23:54] No, you're totally right.

[00:23:55] In the moment, it's like, he's introducing it like this big twist.

[00:24:00] And it's like, this is just how the merge usually works.

[00:24:03] But I was not, like I said, I was not upset because I was like, this is so much better.

[00:24:07] So however Jeff wants to say it, cool with me.

[00:24:10] Oh, then I had another issue.

[00:24:12] Can I just, got one more grievance I'd like to.

[00:24:16] As many grievances as you got.

[00:24:18] You got the school, you saying something about the schoolyard pick?

[00:24:21] No.

[00:24:22] So, go on.

[00:24:23] I'm talking about the merge appetizers.

[00:24:28] Jack, that wasn't a feast.

[00:24:30] The appetizers.

[00:24:31] Because let me just tell you, first of all, there's three things in Survivor I love.

[00:24:37] And I never wanted to win Survivor, but I wanted to make the merge.

[00:24:41] I wanted to have the merge feast.

[00:24:43] And depending on the era, day 38 or day 25, I want to be sitting around the fire.

[00:24:49] And I want to like be scraping bacon.

[00:24:51] Like, those are the things that I wanted.

[00:24:56] Bitch, I know you ain't bringing out a charcuterie.

[00:24:58] But where is the rest of the food?

[00:25:01] Like, I'm confused.

[00:25:02] I don't want no cheese and a piece of meat.

[00:25:05] Whoa.

[00:25:07] Maybe a piece of meat.

[00:25:08] But I felt a little raw.

[00:25:11] And I know Sam was out there.

[00:25:14] Loving it.

[00:25:15] Okay.

[00:25:15] But I'm going to need a little bit more than a block of cheese and some pepperoni for my merge feast.

[00:25:23] What else did they have?

[00:25:25] Wine?

[00:25:26] Okay.

[00:25:27] Now, also, Teenie is my spirit animal.

[00:25:30] Okay.

[00:25:31] Because you can have that cheese.

[00:25:33] Teenie was getting lit.

[00:25:35] And I ain't mad.

[00:25:35] That's just how I would be.

[00:25:40] I'm just glad it didn't sink her game like Uncle Carl.

[00:25:43] Because Uncle Carl.

[00:25:45] Your boy got lit.

[00:25:46] Well, hey.

[00:25:47] If Sam is asking for charcuterie all season, hey.

[00:25:53] Put it on the table.

[00:25:55] They cutting corners.

[00:25:57] Back at base camp, they had that on the table.

[00:25:59] They was like, yay, Jeff.

[00:26:00] You want to get them to the pizza side?

[00:26:01] Go ahead.

[00:26:03] But would you have been happy, Jack, with a piece of cheese?

[00:26:06] I missed kind of the full extent of the meal.

[00:26:09] But so the most substantial thing was just charcuterie.

[00:26:13] And they had some fruit and some wine.

[00:26:15] Nah.

[00:26:16] And they had a pineapple.

[00:26:17] Where the little pickles?

[00:26:19] Where the little, like, you know, if it's going to be a charcuterie pour, where's the jam?

[00:26:23] Where's the crackers?

[00:26:24] Like, give me a charcuterie.

[00:26:26] They gave you a charcuterie.

[00:26:29] They didn't give you the charcuterie.

[00:26:31] They gave you the charcuterie.

[00:26:32] Bryce, what did you think about the pineapples?

[00:26:34] I mean, I like the pineapples.

[00:26:36] They was cool.

[00:26:37] Are you a pineapple kind of guy?

[00:26:39] If Sam is, I am.

[00:26:42] Are you the kind of guy that...

[00:26:45] Upside down.

[00:26:46] Oh!

[00:26:48] Jack, do you know about this?

[00:26:50] The pineapples?

[00:26:51] Yeah.

[00:26:54] If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, yeah.

[00:26:57] You know about the upside down pineapple?

[00:26:59] Upside down pineapple.

[00:27:01] You got Google on your phone real quick?

[00:27:03] Is that like a dessert?

[00:27:04] Yes.

[00:27:05] I think I know about...

[00:27:06] Yeah.

[00:27:08] No, that's like a pineapple upside down cake.

[00:27:10] No, it's a dessert.

[00:27:12] It's a weird thing on cruises, Jack.

[00:27:15] Oh!

[00:27:16] Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

[00:27:18] Yeah.

[00:27:19] Yeah, no show about that.

[00:27:20] I also thought you meant when, you know, eating pineapple to affect the flavors.

[00:27:27] Oh, yeah, no.

[00:27:30] Like a palate cleanser?

[00:27:32] No, it makes things taste different, they say.

[00:27:35] Certain things during lovemaking.

[00:27:41] Wow, Jackery.

[00:27:43] Bryce.

[00:27:44] Oh!

[00:27:47] Anyway, that's just...

[00:27:48] We've taken a turn.

[00:27:50] Oh, Jack.

[00:27:51] I was trying to describe that as PG as possible.

[00:27:57] Does it work, Jack?

[00:27:58] I haven't tasted it.

[00:28:01] Bryce, what does an upside down pineapple mean?

[00:28:06] It means your door is open.

[00:28:09] Hmm.

[00:28:11] Okay.

[00:28:11] So they say...

[00:28:12] Well, I mean, they say on cruise ships

[00:28:16] that, you know, people,

[00:28:18] they do this decorating thing on their doors,

[00:28:20] and if you turn the pineapple upside down,

[00:28:23] then I believe it means that, like,

[00:28:25] you're a swinger.

[00:28:26] Like, you're open to...

[00:28:28] I'm gonna leave the door open.

[00:28:32] I'm gonna...

[00:28:35] On the Survivor cruise,

[00:28:38] do we think there'll be any pineapples on there?

[00:28:40] Oh, wow.

[00:28:42] There is a Survivor cruise coming up.

[00:28:46] You might see some pineapples.

[00:28:48] There's a Circle cruise, too.

[00:28:50] I didn't get an invite, but...

[00:28:52] There's a Challenge cruise, too.

[00:28:54] I feel like they're all the same cruise.

[00:28:56] It's like, I feel like...

[00:28:57] It's all the same.

[00:29:00] We're not doing this.

[00:29:05] Well, I was gonna say,

[00:29:06] off the record...

[00:29:07] Well, this might be on the record,

[00:29:08] off the record.

[00:29:09] Apparently,

[00:29:12] apparently,

[00:29:14] the host of one of our favorite shows

[00:29:17] maybe used to host some parties

[00:29:18] where there might be some upside down pineapples.

[00:29:22] Wait, what host are you talking about?

[00:29:24] The one you think I'm talking about.

[00:29:26] Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh!

[00:29:28] Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah.

[00:29:32] Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah.

[00:29:32] Goodbye, Jack.

[00:29:33] We're not doing that to him.

[00:29:36] Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah.

[00:29:37] No, sir.

[00:29:37] I think that's cool.

[00:29:39] I mean, what?

[00:29:40] No, we didn't...

[00:29:41] Maybe we edit that out,

[00:29:43] but that's what I've heard.

[00:29:46] Word on the street.

[00:29:48] I don't even want to elaborate because of...

[00:29:50] No, Diddy.

[00:29:51] Okay.

[00:29:51] I don't even...

[00:29:52] What?

[00:29:53] It's consenting adults.

[00:29:55] No, no, no, no, no, no.

[00:29:56] We're not doing that.

[00:29:58] Well, now you guys are knocking some adults that are...

[00:30:03] Listen, I'll listen.

[00:30:04] ...different and they're all consenting adults.

[00:30:07] We don't take shame over here, Jackery,

[00:30:10] but this is a family podcast.

[00:30:13] Bryce, what are you doing?

[00:30:15] Bryce?

[00:30:20] Where did you get that pineapple from?

[00:30:22] I've been on a cruise or two before in my day.

[00:30:26] Oh, my gosh.

[00:30:28] What did you think about this advantage?

[00:30:30] This secret advantage that's at the camp

[00:30:33] and everyone to go look for it?

[00:30:35] Like, what were your thoughts on that?

[00:30:36] I thought, again, a fun play on different things.

[00:30:40] I don't always love the,

[00:30:43] ready, set, go!

[00:30:44] And everybody just kind of like,

[00:30:46] go off.

[00:30:47] But I thought that was an interesting

[00:30:49] little, like, gem to add in.

[00:30:52] I like it.

[00:30:54] Yeah, I thought it was interesting

[00:30:57] how so many people were just not really interested

[00:30:59] in finding it.

[00:31:00] Like, they were like, okay, that's cool,

[00:31:02] but, like, I kind of want to get to know everybody.

[00:31:04] Like, let's just go sit in the shelter.

[00:31:07] And the captain of that,

[00:31:09] or someone that I saw leading the charge,

[00:31:11] was Andy.

[00:31:12] And in my opinion,

[00:31:14] Andy has had a rough couple of days,

[00:31:16] but Andy is finding his stride,

[00:31:18] and it's clear watching Andy's confessionals

[00:31:21] and seeing how well thought out.

[00:31:23] Like, Andy's very methodical,

[00:31:24] so I'm not mad at the way Andy was like,

[00:31:26] I'm going to sit here because,

[00:31:29] you know, Andy get like me.

[00:31:30] He might find something,

[00:31:31] get a little nervous.

[00:31:32] Like, you know, his best bet was to sit in the camp

[00:31:35] and talk to everybody.

[00:31:36] And I'm not mad.

[00:31:37] That's like, that's currency.

[00:31:39] And so Andy is building his social currency,

[00:31:41] so I am here for baby Andy.

[00:31:45] Andy has his moments,

[00:31:47] but then he has his moments when he locks in

[00:31:49] and can really, like, articulate a plan

[00:31:51] or what he's thinking.

[00:31:53] And I like that kind of a character

[00:31:55] because you get the laughs,

[00:31:58] you know, you get some blunders,

[00:32:00] but then you also get this guy

[00:32:02] who is well thought out and locked in.

[00:32:05] And know the game.

[00:32:06] Not so great at challenges.

[00:32:09] We love you, Andy.

[00:32:10] Yeah, it is funny.

[00:32:12] A lot of times he'll be talking

[00:32:13] and they'll be giving him like,

[00:32:14] I guess they'll call it like the dodo music

[00:32:17] or whatever,

[00:32:17] but he'll be saying stuff that's really insightful.

[00:32:19] And it's like, you know,

[00:32:21] don't hate on baby Andy.

[00:32:22] Like, he's kind of spitting some knowledge here.

[00:32:26] So yeah.

[00:32:27] Here's my other gripe.

[00:32:29] Now, you know, I love Mama Sue Tsunami,

[00:32:32] but girl,

[00:32:37] why are you just waiting till now

[00:32:39] to clean the stuff up?

[00:32:40] Like, I'm like, I'm so confused, Sue.

[00:32:42] Like, Sue, you had all the time,

[00:32:45] like as much downtime as we have.

[00:32:48] Like, I was a little shocked

[00:32:49] that Sue kind of just left things

[00:32:51] the way that they were.

[00:32:52] Not even burying the stuff, that's fine.

[00:32:55] But like, not even washing the idol.

[00:32:56] And then girl,

[00:32:57] why is you washing the idol with the well water?

[00:32:59] Like, go to the ocean.

[00:33:01] There's a lot more water over there

[00:33:03] and it has a good point.

[00:33:04] Yeah.

[00:33:05] I didn't really think about that,

[00:33:07] but I totally agree.

[00:33:10] Yeah.

[00:33:10] And also,

[00:33:12] she kept the idol in the tube she founded it, right?

[00:33:15] Which had more stuff on it.

[00:33:16] More blood.

[00:33:19] More red juice.

[00:33:20] Yeah.

[00:33:20] It's just a bigger,

[00:33:21] just put,

[00:33:21] you just take the idol,

[00:33:22] it's like on your string and just,

[00:33:25] yeah.

[00:33:26] Why do you need the container?

[00:33:27] You go wash the container off.

[00:33:29] It's just more to,

[00:33:31] I don't know.

[00:33:33] Right.

[00:33:33] A question I have for you,

[00:33:34] Wendell,

[00:33:35] because Sue said something like when the people were,

[00:33:37] she knew that the people were coming,

[00:33:38] she got nervous and she was like,

[00:33:40] they go through their bags.

[00:33:42] Is that something that they do during merge?

[00:33:45] They go through people's bags.

[00:33:46] I've never been.

[00:33:48] So.

[00:33:49] I mean,

[00:33:50] I think that is,

[00:33:51] that depends on the season and the people you're with.

[00:33:53] I wasn't looking through no bags,

[00:33:55] but I wouldn't put it past anybody.

[00:33:57] First thing though,

[00:33:58] seems crazy to me.

[00:34:00] You don't pull up on the beach.

[00:34:02] All right,

[00:34:02] let's get some bags.

[00:34:04] Let's see what's going on in there.

[00:34:06] Especially you,

[00:34:07] Sue.

[00:34:08] Also,

[00:34:08] yeah,

[00:34:08] she's washing everything off.

[00:34:10] A lot of it,

[00:34:11] just go bury your idol somewhere,

[00:34:12] right?

[00:34:12] People do that.

[00:34:14] If you're worried about bags.

[00:34:17] And she was worried people would go through her bag,

[00:34:20] but then also like,

[00:34:21] is she washing it off just to put it back in the bag?

[00:34:25] Like someone finds your idol and it doesn't have red paint on it.

[00:34:29] And they're like,

[00:34:30] Oh,

[00:34:30] this is fine.

[00:34:33] All clear over here.

[00:34:35] It's a clean idol.

[00:34:39] Y'all want to get the wrong?

[00:34:41] Because.

[00:34:44] It was too obvious that it wasn't going to be him.

[00:34:48] Yeah.

[00:34:49] It,

[00:34:49] uh,

[00:34:49] that was interesting.

[00:34:52] I do think Rome had the right thought process,

[00:34:56] right?

[00:34:56] Like,

[00:34:56] you know,

[00:34:57] and we can get to Kyle too,

[00:34:58] because one,

[00:35:00] first of all,

[00:35:01] I love Kyle,

[00:35:02] but watching the episode,

[00:35:03] I'm like,

[00:35:04] well,

[00:35:04] did Rome ain't lie though.

[00:35:06] Right?

[00:35:06] Like,

[00:35:09] but I also,

[00:35:10] some exaggeration.

[00:35:12] Right.

[00:35:13] But.

[00:35:15] I thought he was having a gay moment,

[00:35:17] right?

[00:35:17] Where it's like,

[00:35:18] you know,

[00:35:18] at this reminding me of Gabe episode two,

[00:35:20] where Gabe's like,

[00:35:21] I want the people that are on the outs.

[00:35:22] Like I thought Rome was going to connect with the people,

[00:35:27] not just go and spill everything.

[00:35:30] That's where I thought that,

[00:35:32] uh,

[00:35:32] maybe he went a little wrong.

[00:35:35] If he would have maybe just spent a day building a relationship and then drop these little nuggets,

[00:35:40] uh,

[00:35:41] I think could have been better,

[00:35:43] but I also,

[00:35:44] well,

[00:35:44] your thoughts on Rome.

[00:35:47] It kind of reminds me a little bit of like Venus last season where she'd come to people with some,

[00:35:52] with some facts,

[00:35:53] but didn't put the time into like build those relationships.

[00:35:57] And now,

[00:35:58] you know,

[00:35:59] if,

[00:35:59] if Bryce and me and you had been together the whole pre merge,

[00:36:02] and then we just met Wendell and he comes to me and he's like,

[00:36:05] Bryce was saying some things about you.

[00:36:07] And this is the first time I talked to one.

[00:36:09] I'd probably go to you and be like,

[00:36:11] Bryce,

[00:36:11] just so you know,

[00:36:11] like Wendell said some stuff.

[00:36:13] Like,

[00:36:13] is that,

[00:36:13] is it true?

[00:36:14] Is it not?

[00:36:15] And when that happens with multiple people,

[00:36:17] it's all just going to get around.

[00:36:18] And it's like,

[00:36:18] even if it's true,

[00:36:19] it's,

[00:36:19] it's obvious.

[00:36:20] It becomes obvious that someone's just trying to like kick up some sand and like create some chaos.

[00:36:25] And,

[00:36:26] you know,

[00:36:26] it's sort of like,

[00:36:27] okay,

[00:36:28] maybe this time they're coming to me with some truth,

[00:36:30] but how do I know I might not tell them something and they're going to go to someone else with it?

[00:36:34] You know?

[00:36:34] So there's a,

[00:36:35] there's a certain level of chaos that you can create before it gets to be too much,

[00:36:41] even if it's helping you in a way.

[00:36:42] Right?

[00:36:43] Yeah.

[00:36:43] You do this.

[00:36:44] Like you,

[00:36:45] you don't go so hard doing this so fast.

[00:36:48] It's just like,

[00:36:48] all right,

[00:36:49] do one thing,

[00:36:50] triangulate one thing,

[00:36:51] you know,

[00:36:52] like,

[00:36:52] all right,

[00:36:52] talk to someone and do it and see how that works out.

[00:36:55] But don't go,

[00:36:56] don't bounce,

[00:36:57] bounce,

[00:36:57] bounce,

[00:36:58] bounce and share and share and share.

[00:36:59] Nah,

[00:36:59] man,

[00:37:00] like good idea,

[00:37:02] poor execution because you went too hard with it right now.

[00:37:07] Yeah.

[00:37:08] Now,

[00:37:08] to your point,

[00:37:09] Bryce,

[00:37:10] it's like some of the things you were saying,

[00:37:11] he was saying were true,

[00:37:12] but some of them were also like really kind of stretching and twisting with Kyle's words,

[00:37:17] for example.

[00:37:17] And then it's easier for Kyle to like genuinely be like,

[00:37:22] I didn't say that.

[00:37:22] Like I said this verbatim.

[00:37:24] And then also you look at Rome,

[00:37:27] who's been really chaotic and you put his word against Kyle,

[00:37:31] who was maybe like the most honest seeming like Southern boy out there.

[00:37:35] People are going to believe Kyle,

[00:37:37] even if Rome's telling the truth.

[00:37:40] But it takes two to tango.

[00:37:41] Right?

[00:37:42] So I also want to analyze Kyle,

[00:37:44] right?

[00:37:44] Because it's like in Kyle's situation,

[00:37:47] is he doing the right thing?

[00:37:49] Because for me,

[00:37:50] I,

[00:37:50] and I love Kyle and I love his game,

[00:37:52] but that conversation that he was having with Rome.

[00:37:55] And again,

[00:37:56] editing is everything,

[00:37:57] but it seemed like Rome was probing and it seemed like Kyle ain't had no problem giving up the information of the information of the information.

[00:38:08] And clearly it's like,

[00:38:09] they clearly were having a moment with Kyle,

[00:38:11] but it just makes me wonder how often or how quickly,

[00:38:17] do you give information up like that,

[00:38:19] but you want it to be transparent.

[00:38:21] You want to like give and flow,

[00:38:22] but it just seemed like for me,

[00:38:23] I was like,

[00:38:24] Kyle giving up the whole kitchen sink in the bathroom.

[00:38:28] I saw,

[00:38:29] I agree.

[00:38:30] Kyle was giving up too much.

[00:38:31] And I saw a comment somewhere online and I generally remember it.

[00:38:37] And I'm curious about your guys' thoughts on it.

[00:38:39] And I think the comment was sort of like this conversation between Rome and Kyle.

[00:38:44] It seemed like Rome was really angling at like some strategy talk.

[00:38:48] Right.

[00:38:49] But Kyle maybe thought,

[00:38:50] maybe I guess,

[00:38:51] right.

[00:38:52] In survivor,

[00:38:52] nothing's really off the record per se,

[00:38:54] but it sort of seemed like Kyle thought this was sort of like an off the record,

[00:38:58] just like assessment of like how things are.

[00:39:01] Like,

[00:39:02] it's not like,

[00:39:02] I want to go for this person or I want to do this,

[00:39:04] but it's like,

[00:39:05] Oh,

[00:39:05] I think Tiana has a fair shot to win.

[00:39:09] I think Sue and Caroline are struggling a little bit,

[00:39:12] right.

[00:39:13] To Kyle.

[00:39:13] That's not necessarily being like,

[00:39:14] I need to target this.

[00:39:15] I guess for both of you guys who have played,

[00:39:18] is there ever times in the game where you feel like maybe this is like just an off the record chat?

[00:39:22] It's,

[00:39:23] it's sort of like a unspoken thing that it's not going to be dispersed.

[00:39:26] Or do you think for like a Kyle,

[00:39:28] he has to be like anything I say can and will be used against me in the court of law.

[00:39:34] Wendell has played.

[00:39:35] A lot longer than I've played.

[00:39:37] I've played on a very short season.

[00:39:40] It was a long season.

[00:39:41] You just were on it for a short amount of time.

[00:39:44] Correct.

[00:39:45] So in my opinion to that comment,

[00:39:48] Jack,

[00:39:48] there was a ton of off the record conversations.

[00:39:53] However,

[00:39:54] in my opinion,

[00:39:54] those conversations were about food,

[00:39:57] family,

[00:39:58] like what I'm going to do.

[00:39:59] It wasn't like,

[00:40:00] like there was no in,

[00:40:02] in my,

[00:40:02] and mind you,

[00:40:03] that's also my problem.

[00:40:04] I don't talk to that many people.

[00:40:05] People,

[00:40:06] but it was like,

[00:40:07] it wasn't,

[00:40:08] I just felt like the conversation was about in game.

[00:40:11] So it's like,

[00:40:11] I get what you're saying,

[00:40:13] but I just feel like,

[00:40:14] yeah,

[00:40:15] you talking about the game and people doing how they like,

[00:40:19] there's just no other way.

[00:40:20] Like,

[00:40:20] there's just no other way in my opinion that that can be perceived.

[00:40:22] But.

[00:40:24] I think,

[00:40:25] I think Kyle is such a nice guy.

[00:40:27] Right.

[00:40:28] And I think Rome took advantage of that.

[00:40:31] And Jack,

[00:40:32] to your point,

[00:40:33] there are kind of like getting to know you conversations or like feeling

[00:40:36] people,

[00:40:37] I'll cover,

[00:40:37] Hey,

[00:40:37] how you feel about,

[00:40:38] you know,

[00:40:39] I think Rome was,

[00:40:42] I think it was the perfect storm.

[00:40:44] Rome is someone that is looking for language to use against you.

[00:40:49] And,

[00:40:50] and the fact that Kyle is a nice guy.

[00:40:52] So like Kyle might be,

[00:40:54] you know,

[00:40:54] just doing the getting to know you stuff,

[00:40:58] light talk,

[00:40:59] small talk that he doesn't think Rome will twist and construe otherwise.

[00:41:03] And Rome is like,

[00:41:05] gotcha.

[00:41:06] Gotcha.

[00:41:08] And Rome spreads it all on the Island.

[00:41:10] So yeah,

[00:41:11] I think there's,

[00:41:12] I think there's a couple of things that play there.

[00:41:15] If Rome would have just stopped at tsunami,

[00:41:18] he,

[00:41:19] I mean,

[00:41:19] because clearly she ain't say like,

[00:41:22] it was so believable given like,

[00:41:24] if he would have just like,

[00:41:25] just drip that to tsunami,

[00:41:27] let that sit for a couple of days.

[00:41:29] That really could have worked out for him.

[00:41:33] And he already had this sort of evidence that,

[00:41:35] okay,

[00:41:36] Kyle has voted against Sue.

[00:41:37] Like that's a good seed to plant,

[00:41:39] but yeah,

[00:41:40] he just did too much.

[00:41:40] And like you guys said,

[00:41:42] I mean,

[00:41:42] I think,

[00:41:43] I guess in the game,

[00:41:44] everything you say can be considered game talk,

[00:41:47] but right.

[00:41:48] Kyle,

[00:41:49] I get people perceive him as pretty innocent.

[00:41:51] Him being like,

[00:41:52] Oh,

[00:41:52] I think Bryce is a big threat to win.

[00:41:54] Or like,

[00:41:55] I guess maybe it's a different,

[00:41:56] it's maybe it's like,

[00:41:57] if bright,

[00:41:57] if him saying like,

[00:41:58] Oh,

[00:41:58] Bryce has a good chance to win.

[00:42:00] That doesn't even necessarily mean Kyle wants to target Bryce.

[00:42:03] That's just him like talking about what he thinks.

[00:42:05] And it's not.

[00:42:06] And so,

[00:42:06] yeah,

[00:42:07] it's,

[00:42:07] I guess when Kyle goes to like,

[00:42:09] when people fact check with Kyle and Kyle's like,

[00:42:11] I didn't mean like,

[00:42:12] no,

[00:42:13] that's not that people are going to believe Kyle.

[00:42:16] Who's so like mellow and low key over Rome.

[00:42:18] Who's like scrambling all over the place.

[00:42:20] Yeah.

[00:42:49] Yeah.

[00:42:50] Like when he was talking to her,

[00:42:52] she was like,

[00:42:57] and those facial expressions also say like,

[00:43:03] boy,

[00:43:03] this is the first thing you're going to say to me.

[00:43:04] Like,

[00:43:04] how about hi?

[00:43:05] Like it,

[00:43:06] like it gave very much like we doing this right now.

[00:43:10] Like,

[00:43:11] who are you?

[00:43:13] Sir,

[00:43:14] stand up.

[00:43:21] You make a good point with that too,

[00:43:24] though.

[00:43:24] Cause it's like,

[00:43:25] even if people are telling you the truth or whatever,

[00:43:28] I'm like,

[00:43:29] first conversation you have with me,

[00:43:31] I don't need,

[00:43:32] I don't want to hear that.

[00:43:33] It's almost like a real life thing that you,

[00:43:35] you're hearing where it's like,

[00:43:36] someone you don't really know comes up to you.

[00:43:38] He's like,

[00:43:38] yo,

[00:43:38] your friend was like talking shit about you.

[00:43:40] And you're like out at the bar,

[00:43:41] like having a good time.

[00:43:42] You're like,

[00:43:43] I don't,

[00:43:45] it's like,

[00:43:46] what am I supposed to do with that information?

[00:43:48] Like I,

[00:43:48] now you just make me feel bad.

[00:43:52] And yeah.

[00:43:53] A dog that carry,

[00:43:55] a dog that brings a bone or a dog that carries a bone,

[00:43:58] brings a bone.

[00:44:01] Yeah.

[00:44:01] You know what I'm saying?

[00:44:02] Like it's something like that.

[00:44:06] But,

[00:44:07] it's,

[00:44:07] it's also like,

[00:44:09] sorry.

[00:44:10] What was that?

[00:44:12] A dog that carries a bone.

[00:44:13] Go ahead.

[00:44:14] Go ahead.

[00:44:14] But she,

[00:44:15] yeah.

[00:44:15] So this guy that she'll never talk to pulled up on her talking about

[00:44:19] somebody who's been on the island with her for 11 days.

[00:44:23] Bro,

[00:44:23] we love you.

[00:44:24] Yeah.

[00:44:25] But this is also what I find so interesting,

[00:44:27] right?

[00:44:28] Where it's like,

[00:44:28] um,

[00:44:30] when we say a character,

[00:44:31] like a Rome or even like a character,

[00:44:33] like a Q,

[00:44:34] right?

[00:44:35] Like,

[00:44:35] uh,

[00:44:36] they're dangerous players,

[00:44:37] right?

[00:44:37] Because it's like,

[00:44:38] you want to keep them around for this very reason.

[00:44:40] Right?

[00:44:40] Because it's like Rome's going to Rome and yeah,

[00:44:44] you,

[00:44:45] you keep them around until he roams.

[00:44:47] And then this happens.

[00:44:48] But the problem is if Rome gets too far,

[00:44:51] then it's like,

[00:44:52] but it just,

[00:44:53] it just really was the perfect story for Rome.

[00:44:55] Because I feel like when you have a character like Rome,

[00:44:58] whose ego is like the size of Antarctica,

[00:45:05] like they say,

[00:45:06] don't ever get too comfortable in survival.

[00:45:08] Right?

[00:45:08] Like,

[00:45:09] in my opinion,

[00:45:09] this plan was formed from somebody that was extremely too comfortable

[00:45:17] and thought that they like just had outsmarted everybody.

[00:45:20] Yeah.

[00:45:22] And yeah,

[00:45:22] I remember what I want to say with my last point too,

[00:45:25] is like,

[00:45:26] not only is Rome going to Tiana with this.

[00:45:29] And like I said,

[00:45:30] it's sort of that situation.

[00:45:30] You don't want to hear that,

[00:45:32] you know,

[00:45:32] someone you don't really know was like telling you someone else was

[00:45:34] taught,

[00:45:34] whatever.

[00:45:35] It's also like in survivor,

[00:45:38] maybe that's just sort of expected that people are going to do that.

[00:45:41] Right?

[00:45:42] It's like,

[00:45:42] and so it's just part of the game and you don't really want to,

[00:45:45] maybe sometimes you don't really want to hear about it.

[00:45:47] Right?

[00:45:47] Like if I've been like Kyle and Tiana are pretty close.

[00:45:49] Right?

[00:45:50] So,

[00:45:50] so say like me and Bryce,

[00:45:54] say we're out there and we're close.

[00:45:55] And then,

[00:45:56] so,

[00:45:56] and then Wendell comes and tells me that you said that I was like really,

[00:46:01] really physical and like a good,

[00:46:03] like a good social player.

[00:46:05] And right.

[00:46:05] That could be construed to be like,

[00:46:07] Oh,

[00:46:07] you're labeling me as a threat.

[00:46:09] But like,

[00:46:09] if you talk to anyone,

[00:46:10] they can kind of prompt information out of you.

[00:46:13] Then anything you say,

[00:46:14] that's like good about someone else could also just be like,

[00:46:17] painted as like them targeting.

[00:46:19] So I'd sort of be like,

[00:46:20] okay,

[00:46:21] like if you guys are talking and like,

[00:46:23] and maybe you're,

[00:46:24] you're like saying something about me and Bryce is just like,

[00:46:27] Oh yeah,

[00:46:27] he's like a good,

[00:46:28] good in challenges.

[00:46:29] You could come back to me and be like,

[00:46:30] Oh,

[00:46:31] Bryce said,

[00:46:31] like,

[00:46:32] you're really like a big challenge.

[00:46:33] But,

[00:46:33] but I'd be like,

[00:46:34] Bryce is my friend.

[00:46:35] Like,

[00:46:35] I don't,

[00:46:36] I don't care.

[00:46:36] Like,

[00:46:37] what?

[00:46:37] It's not even like value.

[00:46:38] That's just like kind of annoying at that point to be doing that.

[00:46:40] But it depends who you're on the Island with.

[00:46:42] Cause some people might like,

[00:46:44] if you,

[00:46:45] if you don't,

[00:46:45] first of all,

[00:46:46] if you don't pour this information on everyone and you are picking and

[00:46:51] choosing who you're talking to,

[00:46:52] then on a certain season,

[00:46:54] this might be a good strategy.

[00:46:55] And we've seen people look for certain words just so they can use it

[00:47:00] against people.

[00:47:00] So,

[00:47:01] but in this case,

[00:47:02] Rome just wants a little OD with it.

[00:47:04] And it's a time and a place,

[00:47:06] right?

[00:47:06] Like,

[00:47:06] I feel like had,

[00:47:08] had he pulled this out during tribal,

[00:47:10] right?

[00:47:10] Like it would,

[00:47:13] like,

[00:47:13] I think catching something like that off guard is how he should have used

[00:47:19] some of that information because then Kyle black,

[00:47:21] no,

[00:47:21] I didn't.

[00:47:22] And you can be like,

[00:47:22] we wasn't laying up in there last night.

[00:47:24] You didn't like,

[00:47:25] you know what I mean?

[00:47:25] And that really,

[00:47:26] he could have used that leverage,

[00:47:28] but again,

[00:47:28] just like,

[00:47:29] Hey,

[00:47:30] my name is Rob.

[00:47:31] I'm four two.

[00:47:34] You know,

[00:47:34] like it's like,

[00:47:36] here,

[00:47:37] here's the thing.

[00:47:38] As much as like,

[00:47:40] not a great play as that was,

[00:47:44] it was amazing TV to watch.

[00:47:47] Right.

[00:47:47] Because it's like,

[00:47:49] could he play this off?

[00:47:51] Could it work?

[00:47:51] Like just watching him talk about the plan and seeing it unfold and see

[00:47:55] him going to everybody.

[00:47:56] It was excellent TV.

[00:47:59] Yeah.

[00:47:59] I guess the,

[00:48:00] the summation of sort of Rome's pre challenge.

[00:48:04] Antics is like,

[00:48:05] you can,

[00:48:06] there's some credibility that is dispersing some information,

[00:48:10] but it's just so important.

[00:48:12] Like make those,

[00:48:12] build those bridges first,

[00:48:14] like those social connections.

[00:48:15] And if you just do it with everybody,

[00:48:17] it's going to come back,

[00:48:18] invite you in the butt,

[00:48:19] I guess.

[00:48:20] I don't know.

[00:48:22] Yeah.

[00:48:23] Interesting.

[00:48:24] And then,

[00:48:25] okay.

[00:48:25] So now that we've,

[00:48:26] we've started on Rome,

[00:48:28] let's get to the challenge,

[00:48:29] which kind of,

[00:48:30] you know,

[00:48:31] breaks up that the pre,

[00:48:33] the pre challenge Rome.

[00:48:35] And then there's the post challenge.

[00:48:36] Right.

[00:48:37] In a sense.

[00:48:38] Um,

[00:48:38] there's,

[00:48:38] there's BC and AD,

[00:48:40] uh,

[00:48:42] also quick fact before I forget.

[00:48:45] Uh,

[00:48:45] I saw somewhere.

[00:48:47] So the,

[00:48:48] the Roman empire officially ended in four 76 AD.

[00:48:54] And Rome went home season 47 episode six.

[00:48:58] Is that,

[00:48:59] that's pretty crazy.

[00:49:00] Wow.

[00:49:02] Whoa.

[00:49:03] So just a fun fact.

[00:49:05] What's up?

[00:49:07] How often do you think about the Roman empire?

[00:49:10] Only when Rome goes home.

[00:49:13] Um,

[00:49:14] so we already talked about this,

[00:49:15] you know,

[00:49:16] this,

[00:49:16] this new,

[00:49:17] this new merge that takes place or whatever.

[00:49:19] Um,

[00:49:20] something that Wendell,

[00:49:21] you mentioned earlier that I wanted to bring up was this,

[00:49:23] the schoolyard pick,

[00:49:24] you know,

[00:49:25] we,

[00:49:25] we get it.

[00:49:26] Sometimes we haven't gotten one in a while and we never really see the

[00:49:30] pick.

[00:49:30] Um,

[00:49:31] but I don't know if you guys know that someone,

[00:49:34] uh,

[00:49:34] Jeff talked a little bit,

[00:49:35] a little bit about on the on fire podcast.

[00:49:37] And I think someone connected some other,

[00:49:39] some other dots.

[00:49:40] We,

[00:49:41] we know the order of the schoolyard pick.

[00:49:43] Have you guys seen this?

[00:49:46] Yeah.

[00:49:46] I saw the video.

[00:49:48] Yeah.

[00:49:48] Wendell sent it to me.

[00:49:50] Oh,

[00:49:51] yeah.

[00:49:52] The video's out.

[00:49:53] Yeah.

[00:49:54] It was the actual from the Island.

[00:49:56] Yeah.

[00:49:58] Somebody had a camera phone.

[00:49:59] Well,

[00:50:00] I'm behind,

[00:50:00] huh?

[00:50:01] Yeah.

[00:50:01] Not my way,

[00:50:02] but it's,

[00:50:03] uh,

[00:50:06] yeah,

[00:50:06] it,

[00:50:06] it didn't seem like too much.

[00:50:08] I didn't like a bunch of dudes got picked early.

[00:50:12] It was Andy was the last pick.

[00:50:15] And then Rome was the third to last pick.

[00:50:19] Um,

[00:50:21] but anyways,

[00:50:22] I guess,

[00:50:22] so I guess I'm a little behind the eight ball there,

[00:50:24] but what,

[00:50:25] I mean,

[00:50:25] so do we like the schoolyard pick and do we wish they had shown it?

[00:50:30] Uh,

[00:50:32] I like the schoolyard pick,

[00:50:33] uh,

[00:50:34] after seeing it,

[00:50:35] I don't think that it was much to see.

[00:50:36] So I could see why they cut it out,

[00:50:38] but I like schoolyard picks when it's me and Wendell.

[00:50:43] I pick Jack.

[00:50:45] Wendell picks Jeff.

[00:50:46] I like it when now Jack,

[00:50:49] you have to pick somebody for Wendell's team.

[00:50:51] And Jeff has to pick somebody for my team.

[00:50:54] I like it when you do a schoolyard pick like that,

[00:50:56] where it's like,

[00:50:58] but the teams don't exist yet.

[00:51:02] What he said is now I have to pick.

[00:51:04] Now I have to pick someone and send them to Bryce's team,

[00:51:07] right?

[00:51:07] The person you pick isn't for your team is for the opposite team.

[00:51:10] So I would make the first pick and it would be like you and someone else.

[00:51:14] And then you guys pick,

[00:51:15] but it's for the opposite team.

[00:51:17] It's kind of like,

[00:51:18] you know,

[00:51:19] you'll pick someone you don't want.

[00:51:21] Right.

[00:51:23] Interesting.

[00:51:24] That's cool.

[00:51:24] That's cool.

[00:51:26] I think they,

[00:51:27] um,

[00:51:27] I think schoolyard picks are dope and fun and can,

[00:51:31] you know,

[00:51:31] shake things up a little bit or they could just be a little bit regular.

[00:51:37] And okay,

[00:51:37] we saw how it felt,

[00:51:39] you know?

[00:51:39] So yes,

[00:51:41] enact schoolyard picks,

[00:51:42] record them.

[00:51:43] If they add some drama or fun,

[00:51:46] incorporate some of it in an episode.

[00:51:47] And if not,

[00:51:48] we'll take the bonus scene.

[00:51:50] True.

[00:51:51] I guess I'm glad it's a bonus scene.

[00:51:53] Cause I don't,

[00:51:54] I like a schoolyard pick.

[00:51:55] I think it makes it probably more even than if they just draw for teams,

[00:51:59] but I don't,

[00:52:00] a schoolyard pick,

[00:52:01] you know,

[00:52:01] you kind of have to see every pick and that would take a good few minutes of

[00:52:06] the episode.

[00:52:06] And it's like,

[00:52:07] as much as we want to see it,

[00:52:08] like most of the time,

[00:52:09] is it actually going to be that interesting?

[00:52:11] Probably not.

[00:52:11] Um,

[00:52:13] but,

[00:52:13] but yeah,

[00:52:14] so I guess.

[00:52:17] I did like,

[00:52:18] I did like this challenge.

[00:52:20] Yeah.

[00:52:21] I thought it was interesting.

[00:52:22] I liked the two parts of it.

[00:52:24] I like the puzzle,

[00:52:27] go through the dirt to get to the sand with the tribe.

[00:52:30] Then you got to get over.

[00:52:32] And then the winners of that will then compete for individual immunity

[00:52:37] challenge.

[00:52:39] When I saw the pick,

[00:52:41] I said to myself before the episode air,

[00:52:43] I said,

[00:52:44] I guarantee,

[00:52:45] and I wasn't wrong,

[00:52:46] that Rome is going to be doing the puzzle at the end because it's like,

[00:52:49] tell me a challenge that Rome,

[00:52:50] like,

[00:52:51] it's just like,

[00:52:51] you know,

[00:52:52] Rome's like,

[00:52:52] I'm going to do it.

[00:52:53] Like,

[00:52:53] it just,

[00:52:55] yeah.

[00:52:58] Yeah.

[00:52:59] I mean,

[00:52:59] not surprised about that.

[00:53:02] Um,

[00:53:02] I guess I wouldn't really,

[00:53:03] I've seen people giving him flack for being on the puzzle,

[00:53:06] but I wouldn't really call it a puzzle.

[00:53:08] It was just like a table maze,

[00:53:09] but he still wasn't very good at it.

[00:53:11] So,

[00:53:12] um,

[00:53:12] yeah,

[00:53:13] well,

[00:53:13] his strategy was to like run through it and it got to a point where they

[00:53:18] were pretty close and actually overtook the other tribe.

[00:53:22] So,

[00:53:23] um,

[00:53:24] say what you want.

[00:53:25] Like they got pretty far at one point.

[00:53:30] They did have a pretty large lead at one point.

[00:53:34] Okay.

[00:53:35] Fair.

[00:53:36] Yeah.

[00:53:38] But now,

[00:53:39] about subbing people in when Saul was like,

[00:53:42] yo,

[00:53:43] we allowed to sub people in?

[00:53:44] Like,

[00:53:45] no,

[00:53:46] pro shut that down.

[00:53:48] But do you think,

[00:53:50] I don't know.

[00:53:52] I don't know.

[00:53:53] I don't even know if that would have been good in the heat of the moment

[00:53:56] because I feel like on my season,

[00:53:59] I did something similar,

[00:53:59] not like this,

[00:54:00] but,

[00:54:01] uh,

[00:54:01] you get a rhythm,

[00:54:02] right?

[00:54:03] Like,

[00:54:03] you know,

[00:54:03] it might not have been looking good as a teammate sent to the side,

[00:54:07] but Gabe and Rome,

[00:54:08] they had,

[00:54:10] they,

[00:54:10] they was figuring out how,

[00:54:12] how to,

[00:54:14] it's a learning curve.

[00:54:15] And if you sub something in,

[00:54:16] they'd have to reset that curve.

[00:54:18] Exactly.

[00:54:19] Agreed.

[00:54:19] Um,

[00:54:21] I just wonder,

[00:54:22] I'm sure Saul in all his time with Rome,

[00:54:26] you know,

[00:54:26] every challenge Rome was definitely like,

[00:54:28] and we saw some of the challenges.

[00:54:30] I'm doing it.

[00:54:31] I got it.

[00:54:32] Like,

[00:54:32] I won't be able to sleep if I'm not the one who does it and we lose or

[00:54:35] whatever.

[00:54:36] And,

[00:54:36] but it's like,

[00:54:36] how many times I'm sure every time Saul's like,

[00:54:40] all right,

[00:54:41] like whatever.

[00:54:42] But I mean,

[00:54:42] I would say at what point do you have to put your foot down?

[00:54:45] But I guess that's not really an issue anymore.

[00:54:48] Hey,

[00:54:48] cause Rome's gone and be now they're about to be all individuals.

[00:54:52] So like,

[00:54:53] who really cares?

[00:54:54] I don't know.

[00:54:55] They're all about to be what?

[00:54:56] Like individual challenges.

[00:54:58] So only one person will be safe.

[00:55:00] It's a new twist.

[00:55:01] Oh,

[00:55:04] but then you got Kyle goes on to win this individual part.

[00:55:09] Uh,

[00:55:11] but less the Kyle goes on to win,

[00:55:14] but Sue gave him a run for his money.

[00:55:21] And I think with tsunami having that idol,

[00:55:25] tsunami,

[00:55:26] her back being against the wall a little bit with some of the other people in there.

[00:55:31] I think Sue might be a problem.

[00:55:33] Sue might be like,

[00:55:34] cause I,

[00:55:35] I just,

[00:55:35] I could see Sue in these individual challenges,

[00:55:38] like something like this,

[00:55:40] where you got to stay.

[00:55:41] Like,

[00:55:41] I think tsunami going to be a force to be reckoned with.

[00:55:46] Yeah.

[00:55:47] For a 45 year old,

[00:55:48] she out there killing it.

[00:55:52] Um,

[00:55:52] so yeah,

[00:55:53] Kyle ends up winning.

[00:55:55] We've talked about the feast a little bit.

[00:55:57] The one thing we haven't really talked about that I would kind of like to discuss is teeny gets pretty drunk.

[00:56:03] And at first I was kind of like,

[00:56:07] if you're not safe and you have a tribal go to that day,

[00:56:11] is it ever good to get drunk?

[00:56:14] Why?

[00:56:14] Yes.

[00:56:15] Uh,

[00:56:16] and then I was kind of like,

[00:56:17] maybe there's,

[00:56:18] I don't like,

[00:56:19] like I'll throw it to you guys.

[00:56:22] Is there a world where like getting drunk can be good for your game?

[00:56:28] Yes.

[00:56:31] I don't disagree,

[00:56:32] but please elaborate.

[00:56:33] I want to hear like,

[00:56:34] because I,

[00:56:35] I like,

[00:56:37] my opinion is right.

[00:56:39] If there are decisions that need to be made and I feel like teeny's been pretty good at this,

[00:56:43] uh,

[00:56:43] thus far,

[00:56:44] if there's decisions to be made and you come back a little Zoot it and booty,

[00:56:50] you're not making the decisions.

[00:56:51] Right.

[00:56:51] And like,

[00:56:52] you're in a pretty good space.

[00:56:53] So it's like,

[00:56:55] that's one less thing that you could say.

[00:56:57] Hey,

[00:56:58] I had six coronas.

[00:56:59] I don't know.

[00:57:00] I feel like it kind of like removes you from the decision making process.

[00:57:04] And if you're in a pretty good place,

[00:57:06] like teeny is where nobody really checking for teeny teeny's like,

[00:57:10] she's got her situation.

[00:57:12] She has the ambulate with,

[00:57:14] uh,

[00:57:15] Carolina Andy.

[00:57:16] Like,

[00:57:16] I really feel like it just kind of,

[00:57:18] it's almost as if like she went on a journey and how she was saying a wrong,

[00:57:22] when she made up with wrong,

[00:57:23] like,

[00:57:23] Hey,

[00:57:23] I,

[00:57:23] I,

[00:57:24] I had nothing to do with it.

[00:57:25] So I think in that aspect,

[00:57:28] yes,

[00:57:28] it could be good for your game because you just,

[00:57:31] you having a good day.

[00:57:34] Is there a world where you act drunk?

[00:57:38] But that's what I was going to say.

[00:57:41] I now,

[00:57:42] generally,

[00:57:43] I don't think this is a great idea.

[00:57:45] I guess it depends on the position you're in,

[00:57:46] but there's a non zero chance teeny could come back to camp.

[00:57:50] And maybe someone's like teeny people are looking at you.

[00:57:54] And then to have to manage that when you're drunk,

[00:57:57] it was a lot harder.

[00:57:58] But I think the benefits here,

[00:58:01] Hey,

[00:58:01] if you're in a good spot,

[00:58:02] it could make you be good for your social game to just be like,

[00:58:06] God,

[00:58:07] let's go.

[00:58:09] everyone's going to be like,

[00:58:09] Oh,

[00:58:10] teeny is fun.

[00:58:10] Like,

[00:58:11] T is having a good time.

[00:58:12] I'm not too worried about teeny.

[00:58:13] And to,

[00:58:14] I guess to your question,

[00:58:16] Wendell,

[00:58:16] kind of what I thought too,

[00:58:17] is I think there's a really fine line where you are drunk enough where you're like,

[00:58:22] giving good,

[00:58:22] good energy,

[00:58:23] good vibes.

[00:58:24] But also,

[00:58:25] you know,

[00:58:25] people always say like,

[00:58:26] when you're drunk,

[00:58:26] kind of like the drunk words are,

[00:58:28] are a sober thoughts.

[00:58:30] And like the truth kind of comes out when you're drunk.

[00:58:32] But if you're at that perfect level of drunkenness where you're still kind of like,

[00:58:36] know what you're doing,

[00:58:37] I think you could really utilize that to be,

[00:58:41] because people,

[00:58:41] I think when,

[00:58:42] when they see you as being drunk,

[00:58:44] I think what you think is being more honest.

[00:58:47] Right.

[00:58:47] Cause they're like,

[00:58:48] Oh,

[00:58:48] they're drunk.

[00:58:49] Like they're just,

[00:58:50] they're just saying what they think.

[00:58:51] But it's like,

[00:58:52] if you're still have enough control where you can sort of angle that to,

[00:58:56] maybe you spread a little bit of misinformation and whatever.

[00:59:00] And people are like,

[00:59:00] Oh,

[00:59:00] but,

[00:59:01] but team,

[00:59:01] but Jack's drunk.

[00:59:02] Like he wouldn't just be like coming up with crazy lies.

[00:59:05] Like he's too drunk to be doing that.

[00:59:07] Um,

[00:59:08] or let's say in the same vein,

[00:59:09] it's like,

[00:59:10] you might be drunk.

[00:59:11] A lot of times when you're drunk,

[00:59:12] you're like,

[00:59:12] you go to your friends and you're like,

[00:59:14] bro,

[00:59:14] I love,

[00:59:15] I love you,

[00:59:15] bro.

[00:59:16] Like you're my best friend.

[00:59:17] Or like,

[00:59:17] I think that's something you can do on the Island too,

[00:59:19] where you get back to camp and you're like,

[00:59:21] you go to like your closest ally or whatever.

[00:59:23] You're like,

[00:59:23] dude,

[00:59:24] I never tell you,

[00:59:24] but my number one,

[00:59:26] like,

[00:59:26] I love you.

[00:59:28] You know what,

[00:59:28] Jack,

[00:59:29] I actually say the opposite of that.

[00:59:31] Right.

[00:59:32] You could utilize that to go to somebody that you might not actually like.

[00:59:37] Right.

[00:59:37] And do that same.

[00:59:38] Like Jack,

[00:59:39] ah,

[00:59:40] I went on that journey.

[00:59:41] We had a lot of beers,

[00:59:42] but listen,

[00:59:43] I know we ain't seeing eye to eye,

[00:59:45] but it's like,

[00:59:45] I think you're a great person.

[00:59:47] And I like,

[00:59:48] you know,

[00:59:48] you would use that to make it like you could pretend and be like,

[00:59:53] yeah.

[00:59:54] Like,

[00:59:54] how can we get to the bottom of this?

[00:59:55] Cause like,

[00:59:55] I'd be sitting over there thinking like,

[00:59:57] you're great.

[00:59:58] Like that,

[00:59:59] that,

[00:59:59] that's smart.

[01:00:00] Yeah.

[01:00:00] I think it could work with anyone.

[01:00:02] Like,

[01:00:02] uh,

[01:00:03] yeah,

[01:00:03] it's,

[01:00:03] it's,

[01:00:04] it's a really interesting,

[01:00:05] I haven't really thought about it.

[01:00:06] Like,

[01:00:06] like,

[01:00:07] but I think it's an interesting,

[01:00:08] um,

[01:00:09] dynamic to just be like,

[01:00:11] how,

[01:00:11] how do you place your,

[01:00:12] how does it affect your game?

[01:00:13] If you're drunk?

[01:00:15] They need to,

[01:00:16] uh,

[01:00:16] beer pong needs to be a challenge.

[01:00:18] Uh,

[01:00:19] another interesting thing that I thought was so funny,

[01:00:21] this episode where,

[01:00:22] you know,

[01:00:23] in the new era and just in always when we have a vote,

[01:00:27] right?

[01:00:28] People are always like,

[01:00:28] well,

[01:00:29] who's going to be the,

[01:00:30] like,

[01:00:30] who are we going to tell the person that we want to get out?

[01:00:33] Who are we going to tell them the vote is for?

[01:00:37] Has this ever happened in survivor history?

[01:00:41] Where?

[01:00:43] Because Rome was Roman.

[01:00:46] Rome came up with his own alternate vote.

[01:00:49] And it was just like,

[01:00:50] who?

[01:00:51] Okay.

[01:00:52] I love Rome.

[01:00:53] And I thought what Rome was doing was so great,

[01:00:56] but also it was like,

[01:00:57] you know,

[01:00:57] kind of a cringe worthy moment because we know what's happening,

[01:01:00] but I love how Rome was going out to people.

[01:01:02] Like,

[01:01:02] Hey,

[01:01:02] what's up window?

[01:01:03] You know,

[01:01:04] every year,

[01:01:04] you heard what everybody say.

[01:01:05] Everybody saying Jack.

[01:01:07] So we just go with Jack.

[01:01:09] Like,

[01:01:09] although it was Rome,

[01:01:11] yo,

[01:01:11] I like,

[01:01:12] I was loving that.

[01:01:13] Like I,

[01:01:15] his confidence and how.

[01:01:20] And the confessions to match.

[01:01:23] Professionals chilling,

[01:01:25] feet up,

[01:01:26] kick back,

[01:01:26] chilling.

[01:01:27] Like,

[01:01:27] yeah,

[01:01:28] I mean,

[01:01:28] I'm in a great position.

[01:01:29] You know,

[01:01:30] I'm just telling it like,

[01:01:31] bro.

[01:01:32] When he came for Kirk Heinrich,

[01:01:34] I was,

[01:01:34] I was bad.

[01:01:36] I didn't think Kirk Heinrich was going to get any airtime.

[01:01:40] Kirk Heinrich,

[01:01:41] Kirk Heinrich,

[01:01:42] Kirk Heinrich,

[01:01:43] underrated Hooper though.

[01:01:44] So Rome,

[01:01:46] I know you almost went to the league,

[01:01:47] but you can't,

[01:01:49] you can't come from my man,

[01:01:50] Kirk Heinrich.

[01:01:51] That's a bad comp.

[01:01:55] Yeah.

[01:01:56] I mean,

[01:01:56] it was,

[01:01:57] it was pretty wild.

[01:01:58] Like it was really just building up.

[01:02:01] Rome's downfall.

[01:02:02] I mean,

[01:02:02] I know when I,

[01:02:03] when I was watching,

[01:02:04] we were all like,

[01:02:06] is this just the most obvious vote ever?

[01:02:08] Or like,

[01:02:09] is something crazy going to happen?

[01:02:11] Cause even like,

[01:02:12] even all the alternative plans,

[01:02:13] like didn't really have any like weight behind them.

[01:02:17] So it was like,

[01:02:17] is Rome going to play like a shot in the dark?

[01:02:19] Like,

[01:02:19] I don't,

[01:02:20] I don't really know.

[01:02:24] It was,

[01:02:24] it was,

[01:02:25] it was so obvious that like,

[01:02:27] we couldn't,

[01:02:28] we really thought that it wasn't going to be wrong.

[01:02:31] I'm like,

[01:02:31] that is also what makes me so mad about Rome.

[01:02:35] Is that,

[01:02:36] how are you that comfortable?

[01:02:37] Rome?

[01:02:38] Like,

[01:02:38] like,

[01:02:38] like where are your alarms?

[01:02:41] Like you think that you just going to go up to everybody and say,

[01:02:47] and that's it.

[01:02:50] And you play at everybody.

[01:02:52] Like that was like,

[01:02:53] that was the crazy part for me.

[01:02:55] That it's like,

[01:02:58] you're that wrapped up that like,

[01:03:00] you don't even want to know who the other person,

[01:03:03] like,

[01:03:03] I don't know.

[01:03:04] That for me,

[01:03:05] um,

[01:03:06] was great.

[01:03:07] But again,

[01:03:07] I loved him going up to everybody and just how he was doing it.

[01:03:10] Like,

[01:03:10] yeah,

[01:03:11] yeah,

[01:03:11] Yeah.

[01:03:12] Yeah.

[01:03:13] And also I think Jeff probes is like,

[01:03:17] he's the shadiest host ever because you know,

[01:03:21] Jeff knows everything that's going on.

[01:03:26] So for Jeff to give Rome that moment is epic,

[01:03:31] but it is also diabolical for Jeff to do that to Rome.

[01:03:36] Okay.

[01:03:37] A lot of people were torn on it,

[01:03:38] but I kind of thought it was hilarious.

[01:03:39] Cause I was like,

[01:03:40] Jeff's kind of in on the joke,

[01:03:41] right?

[01:03:43] He's in on it.

[01:03:44] And how much Jeff's diabolical,

[01:03:47] he not like how much more would it hurt going home?

[01:03:51] If you just had this moment where it's like one,

[01:03:54] you already think you run into tribe.

[01:03:56] You think you told everybody the name now at tribal.

[01:03:59] It's like Jeff made that man feel even more comfortable.

[01:04:05] It's like,

[01:04:06] y'all ain't never seen a player like me.

[01:04:08] I got this game wrapped around my arm so much.

[01:04:13] I took Jeff's spot.

[01:04:16] I think it was Gabby Pescusi who tweeted,

[01:04:19] Jeff letting Rome sit in the seat was like giving your dog chocolate before

[01:04:23] putting it down.

[01:04:26] Yeah.

[01:04:28] I saw that.

[01:04:30] And then on the other side,

[01:04:32] our friend Chrissy Hoppeck was not happy with that.

[01:04:35] Yeah.

[01:04:36] Wait,

[01:04:37] she wasn't happy with him sitting on.

[01:04:39] She thought it was like a disgrace to the game or something.

[01:04:41] I don't know.

[01:04:42] Yeah.

[01:04:43] I,

[01:04:43] I,

[01:04:44] I don't think it's a disgrace.

[01:04:46] First of all.

[01:04:47] Yes.

[01:04:47] We love Chrissy,

[01:04:48] but no,

[01:04:48] for me,

[01:04:49] I'm,

[01:04:49] I'm with her in the sense that I look at that seat as the highest seat in

[01:04:55] the jungle.

[01:04:56] Right.

[01:04:56] So it is like,

[01:04:57] for me,

[01:04:57] like,

[01:04:57] okay,

[01:04:58] now we just letting people sit on the seat.

[01:05:01] Like I,

[01:05:01] I do think it is unprecedented.

[01:05:03] It's unprecedented.

[01:05:05] However,

[01:05:06] I loved it.

[01:05:07] Like,

[01:05:07] I thought it was like great.

[01:05:08] And it just couldn't have been a more better person because,

[01:05:14] you know,

[01:05:15] Rome thought he ate.

[01:05:17] Well,

[01:05:17] that's the thing.

[01:05:18] It's like,

[01:05:20] his expense kind of.

[01:05:21] So I,

[01:05:21] I don't really think it's,

[01:05:22] I get where Chrissy's coming from that.

[01:05:24] Like they shouldn't just be letting people like sit there or whatever.

[01:05:27] But if it's kind of like,

[01:05:29] like I said,

[01:05:29] a joke at Rome's expense,

[01:05:30] it's kind of funny.

[01:05:31] You know,

[01:05:32] it's not,

[01:05:32] it's even Jeff,

[01:05:33] you know,

[01:05:33] is kind of being tongue in cheek with it.

[01:05:37] Can I,

[01:05:37] I thought it was kind of entertaining,

[01:05:40] but it is funny too.

[01:05:42] Cause Rome into his pregame bio said one of his goals or whatever.

[01:05:46] What's the beat?

[01:05:46] Right.

[01:05:48] That's first of all,

[01:05:49] that's why I'm saying Jeff is diabolical.

[01:05:51] He knew all it is.

[01:05:53] Here's a random question.

[01:05:54] I always hear this,

[01:05:56] but I never understand the origin tongue in cheek.

[01:06:01] Um,

[01:06:02] I don't really,

[01:06:03] it's,

[01:06:03] you know,

[01:06:04] it's just like a,

[01:06:04] I would guess maybe it's like,

[01:06:07] um,

[01:06:07] is it mean like essentially like lip service?

[01:06:11] Like you're just like,

[01:06:13] no,

[01:06:13] it's like tongue in cheek is kind of just meant it's like,

[01:06:16] um,

[01:06:18] it's just sort of like,

[01:06:19] uh,

[01:06:20] maybe like a internal joke.

[01:06:23] Like,

[01:06:23] Oh,

[01:06:24] like you said something,

[01:06:25] but you were just kind of like,

[01:06:26] you didn't really mean it.

[01:06:27] It was just kind of like a little throwaway joke.

[01:06:28] Like it's tongue in cheek.

[01:06:30] It says cleverly amusing tone,

[01:06:33] bantering,

[01:06:34] facetious,

[01:06:34] comedic,

[01:06:35] humorous,

[01:06:37] but I just,

[01:06:38] I don't get the tongue in the cheek.

[01:06:41] I don't,

[01:06:41] I don't know.

[01:06:42] If I had to guess,

[01:06:43] maybe I'd be like,

[01:06:45] it's sort of like when you say a little like naughty throwaway joke and you,

[01:06:48] you almost your face,

[01:06:49] you'll like,

[01:06:50] you'll like put your tongue in your cheek,

[01:06:52] man.

[01:06:53] So if I say a serious one,

[01:06:55] I could say tongue in the throat.

[01:06:58] I don't know.

[01:07:01] Cause I just,

[01:07:02] no,

[01:07:02] I'm just trying to understand that.

[01:07:05] I get it,

[01:07:06] but I just,

[01:07:06] I don't get it.

[01:07:07] In the 17th.

[01:07:07] A lot of like,

[01:07:09] it's just like a lot of phrases,

[01:07:12] like colloquial phrases that some of them have origins that make sense.

[01:07:17] All right.

[01:07:17] In the 1700s,

[01:07:18] people may have used their tongues to poke their cheeks,

[01:07:20] to show skepticism or contempt.

[01:07:24] So I was kind of right.

[01:07:28] what did in the 21st century,

[01:07:32] what are they?

[01:07:34] Bryce,

[01:07:35] we don't want to hear.

[01:07:38] If I'm doing,

[01:07:39] I ain't trying to show you no skepticism.

[01:07:44] I'm trying to.

[01:07:47] Okay.

[01:07:49] Okay.

[01:07:50] Bryce.

[01:07:50] So if I don't believe somebody you're supposed to go like,

[01:07:56] like,

[01:07:56] well,

[01:07:56] I think it's sort of like,

[01:07:57] sometimes it's like a natural,

[01:07:59] um,

[01:08:00] especially like,

[01:08:01] like when you,

[01:08:02] um,

[01:08:03] like,

[01:08:04] if you say something,

[01:08:04] I'm like,

[01:08:04] I'm not so sure.

[01:08:06] Like maybe.

[01:08:07] I mean,

[01:08:08] that's more lip to side.

[01:08:09] Like,

[01:08:11] but you know,

[01:08:13] tongue,

[01:08:13] go to the cheek.

[01:08:15] This is the,

[01:08:16] this is what we should waste five minutes.

[01:08:18] I just,

[01:08:18] I just,

[01:08:19] but so,

[01:08:20] so what they let,

[01:08:21] what Jeff let Rome come talk about was this amulet situation.

[01:08:25] And I mean,

[01:08:26] obviously watching,

[01:08:27] we kind of get it.

[01:08:28] And like,

[01:08:28] of course all the players kind of get it too.

[01:08:31] So it wasn't like Rome,

[01:08:32] Rome articulated it.

[01:08:34] Well,

[01:08:34] I don't,

[01:08:35] he wasn't really shedding any new information that we hadn't really seen,

[01:08:38] but he did make a good point.

[01:08:39] And I want to know from you guys,

[01:08:41] like with this amulet situation,

[01:08:43] they end up playing it for teeny.

[01:08:46] You know,

[01:08:46] if you're one of those three amulet holders,

[01:08:48] what's your thought process with these amulets?

[01:08:51] Do you,

[01:08:51] do you use it first thing?

[01:08:53] Do you hold on to it?

[01:08:54] Like what's,

[01:08:54] what's the move?

[01:08:55] So I get it.

[01:08:58] They have power.

[01:09:00] Right.

[01:09:00] But I also felt like if you guys can come to the,

[01:09:02] like,

[01:09:02] I wish they would have held onto it a little longer.

[01:09:04] Right.

[01:09:04] Like I felt like they,

[01:09:06] that was a cohesive enough group that,

[01:09:09] it could have been useful.

[01:09:12] And I understand what the ambulance,

[01:09:14] like,

[01:09:14] you know,

[01:09:15] it makes you more of a target,

[01:09:16] but I just felt like it's a target within,

[01:09:18] right.

[01:09:18] It would make Andy more of a target to teeny teeny more of a target to

[01:09:21] Andy to,

[01:09:22] to Caroline.

[01:09:24] However,

[01:09:24] I felt like they were pretty cohesive and I felt like I wish they would

[01:09:28] have kind of like the cat was out of the bag already.

[01:09:30] Now that's something I could get right.

[01:09:32] That makes sense.

[01:09:33] Like the cat was out of the bag.

[01:09:34] And so it's like,

[01:09:35] that would make more sense.

[01:09:37] What's that mean,

[01:09:37] Bryce?

[01:09:39] Because,

[01:09:39] I look at it.

[01:09:40] It's like,

[01:09:42] if I have a Christmas present for you and back in the 1800s where they

[01:09:47] didn't have wrapping paper,

[01:09:48] they just had paper bags.

[01:09:49] And it's like,

[01:09:50] Jack,

[01:09:50] I got a present for you.

[01:09:52] You don't know what it is.

[01:09:54] And then when you open it up and the cat comes out the bag,

[01:09:57] it's like,

[01:09:57] Oh,

[01:10:00] that is a little more than tongue in cheek.

[01:10:02] The phrase is thought to have originated from a medieval livestock fraud.

[01:10:08] At markets,

[01:10:10] dishonest merchants would sometimes swap a cat for a piglet in a sack before the customer looked away.

[01:10:16] The buyer wouldn't discover the deception until they got home and let the cat out of the bag.

[01:10:24] First of all,

[01:10:26] first of all,

[01:10:27] see,

[01:10:28] this is what I mean.

[01:10:29] Like,

[01:10:29] these are all like,

[01:10:32] but can you be imagine?

[01:10:33] Like,

[01:10:34] honey,

[01:10:34] we going to have some bacon this week.

[01:10:36] Oh,

[01:10:36] I can't.

[01:10:37] And it's like,

[01:10:38] Oh,

[01:10:38] I can't.

[01:10:43] But Bryce,

[01:10:44] I think,

[01:10:44] but your explanation kind of made sense too.

[01:10:46] It's like,

[01:10:46] the gist of it is like,

[01:10:48] okay,

[01:10:48] the cat was this hidden thing and now it's out in the open and we know what it is.

[01:10:53] But that's more,

[01:10:55] I understand that more than.

[01:10:57] Yeah.

[01:10:57] Yeah.

[01:10:58] That,

[01:10:58] but that's it.

[01:11:00] But I wish they,

[01:11:01] they would have held onto the amulet.

[01:11:03] Right.

[01:11:03] Like I can't,

[01:11:03] like it was disarmed because everyone,

[01:11:06] everyone knew about it.

[01:11:07] Right.

[01:11:07] Like,

[01:11:08] and I understand this great show of power that they did to kind of like,

[01:11:12] you know,

[01:11:12] get rid of it.

[01:11:13] I wish they would have held onto a little bit.

[01:11:15] Keep them guessing.

[01:11:16] My concern there is right now with Rome as a unanimous vote,

[01:11:21] it's easy to just come together.

[01:11:23] But soon enough,

[01:11:24] I think as soon as someone targets someone else,

[01:11:28] then you're not just going to be giving your idol away to let someone else play it.

[01:11:32] Right.

[01:11:33] But I also felt because Rome was so unanimous,

[01:11:35] why even do like,

[01:11:37] let's,

[01:11:37] let's just.

[01:11:39] Now it's time to come together and get rid of it.

[01:11:41] Cause otherwise,

[01:11:43] if you start going at each other,

[01:11:45] they're either going to target each other or they're not going to play it together.

[01:11:48] I'm just saying,

[01:11:49] I'll save it for next week and then see how you feel.

[01:11:53] There was probably a lot of talk like,

[01:11:55] yo,

[01:11:55] we're just going to get rid of this.

[01:11:56] We want to clean slate.

[01:11:57] And if you don't,

[01:11:59] and you hold it now,

[01:12:01] it's like,

[01:12:01] not only do you guys have reasons to work against each other.

[01:12:05] Now,

[01:12:05] other people have reasons to like,

[01:12:08] Oh,

[01:12:09] these three might have something.

[01:12:10] Let's,

[01:12:10] let's target them.

[01:12:12] But you're right.

[01:12:14] But I also,

[01:12:14] maybe,

[01:12:15] maybe Rome has activated my offensive game.

[01:12:18] And it's like,

[01:12:19] if that's the case,

[01:12:21] then come on blue and come on red tribe,

[01:12:24] like get your people and start plucking out.

[01:12:27] Like,

[01:12:27] you know what I mean?

[01:12:27] Like it,

[01:12:28] it,

[01:12:28] I understand what you're saying,

[01:12:30] but there is a world where I could have seen that you guys,

[01:12:32] they could have used it to be a lot more proactive and like,

[01:12:37] and,

[01:12:37] and start running the game,

[01:12:39] but I see why you wouldn't,

[01:12:40] but I was hoping that they would hold on to it a little bit more.

[01:12:42] I mean,

[01:12:43] yeah,

[01:12:43] there's a,

[01:12:44] obviously there's a world where it could have had more impact,

[01:12:46] but I do think a lot of people try to hat,

[01:12:50] try to maximize their impact with any advantage they have.

[01:12:52] And it leads to them like going home with it or whatever.

[01:12:57] I don't disagree,

[01:12:58] but I'm just thinking like,

[01:12:59] you know,

[01:12:59] coming from all different tribes,

[01:13:01] you know,

[01:13:01] next week,

[01:13:02] say the target is,

[01:13:04] you know,

[01:13:05] Sam,

[01:13:05] then,

[01:13:06] you know,

[01:13:06] Andy's not going to give his idol away.

[01:13:08] And then as,

[01:13:09] as,

[01:13:09] as things continue to aspire,

[01:13:11] and then it is,

[01:13:12] it is a weird,

[01:13:13] we've talked about this when the first got introduced,

[01:13:15] because part of it is like,

[01:13:16] well,

[01:13:16] maybe I don't want to target any of them because if they're never going to

[01:13:18] play it together,

[01:13:20] then taking one out is now going to make the other one stronger.

[01:13:23] But what I thought they basically,

[01:13:25] what I thought they should have done.

[01:13:27] And they kind of basically did this.

[01:13:29] And honestly,

[01:13:30] maybe they did do it is,

[01:13:31] you know,

[01:13:32] if you want to get rid of it,

[01:13:34] which I think generally is smart,

[01:13:36] you know,

[01:13:37] cleaning your slate at the merge is tell everyone like,

[01:13:40] Hey,

[01:13:40] the three of us at tribal are going to like rock,

[01:13:43] paper,

[01:13:43] scissors,

[01:13:43] shoot.

[01:13:44] And whoever wins gets the idol because then it,

[01:13:49] you know,

[01:13:49] if you're going to live up to that.

[01:13:51] And if everyone else on the beach thinks,

[01:13:52] Oh,

[01:13:53] there's a one in three chance that Andy teeny or Caroline is safe.

[01:13:57] That's enough of a chance where with 10 other targets,

[01:14:01] I don't think that they're going to be targeted.

[01:14:03] So in a way that small chance of you have being safe,

[01:14:07] this round is enough to like basically make you fully safe.

[01:14:10] I think that's kind of a good outcome with these amulets to just be

[01:14:14] guaranteed to make like the merge slash,

[01:14:18] you know,

[01:14:18] probably the jury.

[01:14:20] So I hear what you're saying.

[01:14:22] I just,

[01:14:22] even if it puts a target on you,

[01:14:24] I feel like it still gives you somewhat of an option to maneuver some way,

[01:14:30] shape or form.

[01:14:31] And so for my own individual game,

[01:14:33] even if I'm aligned with the other three ambulant holders,

[01:14:37] I still like that option of moving and shaking a little bit,

[01:14:42] but that's all.

[01:14:44] So,

[01:14:44] well,

[01:14:44] I mean,

[01:14:45] see,

[01:14:45] I don't fully disagree with you,

[01:14:47] but I'm curious.

[01:14:47] So Bryce,

[01:14:48] say you're,

[01:14:50] say you're teeny here.

[01:14:53] And,

[01:14:53] you know,

[01:14:54] Andy and Caroline come to you and present this plan and,

[01:14:58] you know,

[01:14:58] and you don't want to do it.

[01:15:00] How do you go about talking to those two and kind of pitching to the

[01:15:05] rest of the tribe about like why and how you're going to keep this

[01:15:08] amulet?

[01:15:09] Like when do you want to use it?

[01:15:10] Again,

[01:15:11] it's a power play.

[01:15:12] And so I'm going to always say,

[01:15:14] I'm going to go with Andy and Caroline,

[01:15:16] Caroline,

[01:15:18] and then I'm going to get my troops.

[01:15:20] I'm going to let them know that at the tribal,

[01:15:22] but I'm not standing up with them.

[01:15:24] This is like,

[01:15:25] it's going to make waves,

[01:15:27] but you can't swim.

[01:15:30] If you not,

[01:15:30] see,

[01:15:31] that's,

[01:15:33] I mean,

[01:15:34] I'm just saying it's an option.

[01:15:36] And in the game of survivor,

[01:15:38] you need options.

[01:15:39] And sometimes you could play offense.

[01:15:41] Sometimes you could play defense.

[01:15:43] That's all I'm saying.

[01:15:44] But Bryce,

[01:15:45] I think that's,

[01:15:46] if you're,

[01:15:47] if you agree and then you don't do it,

[01:15:48] then everyone's going to be like,

[01:15:51] what is,

[01:15:53] what's going on?

[01:15:53] My other people.

[01:15:54] I got my other people.

[01:15:55] Listen,

[01:15:55] I got my soul.

[01:15:57] I got my Genevieve.

[01:15:58] Like,

[01:15:59] I'm just saying,

[01:15:59] isn't,

[01:16:00] I didn't say it was a good option.

[01:16:02] I'm just saying like,

[01:16:04] it's an option.

[01:16:05] And they love huge plays.

[01:16:07] And can you imagine if the plan was,

[01:16:10] everyone votes,

[01:16:11] then we'll stand up and play the ambulance.

[01:16:13] And then you have a side plan.

[01:16:15] And everyone thought they was going like,

[01:16:16] I mean,

[01:16:16] that's a,

[01:16:17] that's a,

[01:16:17] that's a move.

[01:16:19] But if you don't,

[01:16:20] if you don't play it,

[01:16:21] then all of a sudden Andy and Caroline are going to be like,

[01:16:24] damn,

[01:16:24] like Bryce isn't with us.

[01:16:26] Now,

[01:16:26] if we want to use,

[01:16:29] how many,

[01:16:30] I'm sorry.

[01:16:31] How many people can win survivor?

[01:16:35] I don't think I,

[01:16:36] I respect you wanting to make a more of a play with it,

[01:16:39] but I'm just saying for the,

[01:16:40] in this,

[01:16:40] in this thought exercise,

[01:16:42] I think that would really get you in a lot of trouble.

[01:16:45] Okay.

[01:16:45] That was real tongue in cheek.

[01:16:49] Listen,

[01:16:50] I'm not saying what I said was great.

[01:16:51] All I'm saying is,

[01:16:53] do you understand what I'm saying?

[01:16:54] You're saying there's other options that would be more interesting and impactful

[01:16:58] than what they did.

[01:16:59] And so I don't disagree.

[01:17:01] But so all I'm saying is that we can have these votes and like,

[01:17:04] you know,

[01:17:04] just hold them off.

[01:17:06] Tell them it's a pig.

[01:17:09] Don't let the cat,

[01:17:10] you don't got to let the cat out the bag just yet.

[01:17:12] I'm just saying like,

[01:17:13] here's my thing.

[01:17:14] Yes,

[01:17:14] we should get rid of it.

[01:17:15] All I'm saying is let's try to get two more tribal councils and then just see what we can make shake.

[01:17:20] I think my concern.

[01:17:23] I mean,

[01:17:23] I know we're kind of just on opposite sides of this,

[01:17:26] but I think my concern,

[01:17:27] if I were Andy would be once the Rome's an easy vote.

[01:17:33] Now we can come together and get rid of this idol.

[01:17:36] But once things start to potentially fracture in different directions,

[01:17:41] it's a lot less likely that the three of us can come together and just agree to play it on one of us.

[01:17:47] And so at that point,

[01:17:49] if we can't even get rid of it because the three of us don't want to play it together,

[01:17:53] then it's either a target to the other amulet holders or it's a target to everyone else.

[01:17:59] And I can't even get rid of my idol at this,

[01:18:01] my amulet at this point.

[01:18:02] But I get it.

[01:18:04] Just a fully just becomes a burden.

[01:18:07] But you're not letting,

[01:18:09] I agree with you,

[01:18:10] but all I'm saying is let's just see how it shakes out.

[01:18:15] Let's see what tomorrow morning brings.

[01:18:18] Okay.

[01:18:19] So let's take a vote.

[01:18:20] Was this a good idea for them to burn their amulet right now?

[01:18:24] Get rid of it.

[01:18:25] Get a fresh start.

[01:18:26] Get the eyes off of them.

[01:18:27] What are you hoping?

[01:18:28] I think it's great.

[01:18:29] I'm not mad at it.

[01:18:30] I'm just saying there's a world where.

[01:18:34] Say it.

[01:18:36] I'm just,

[01:18:36] all I'm saying is there's a world where they could have been selling pigs and really selling cat.

[01:18:41] That's all.

[01:18:43] Have we ever seen a scenario when people came together and used it properly?

[01:18:49] Or was it always people targeting and getting people out?

[01:18:52] People.

[01:18:52] But that's also what I'm.

[01:18:54] It's a limited sample size though.

[01:18:55] But yeah.

[01:18:56] But that's also what I'm saying is that teeny,

[01:19:00] C and A,

[01:19:01] they were all so cohesive.

[01:19:04] Like,

[01:19:05] but I mean,

[01:19:06] I know,

[01:19:06] but that's what I'm saying.

[01:19:07] Well,

[01:19:07] let's,

[01:19:09] let's,

[01:19:10] let's see a little later.

[01:19:12] Have you ever had the candy?

[01:19:14] That's why that.

[01:19:14] That's why it's called now and later.

[01:19:19] It's a terrible candy.

[01:19:21] You think so?

[01:19:23] Yeah.

[01:19:23] I'm good on now and later.

[01:19:24] Oh my God.

[01:19:26] Is that,

[01:19:26] maybe this is the exact,

[01:19:27] if you like now and later is that you want to hold on to the amulet,

[01:19:30] but if you don't,

[01:19:31] then you want to play it.

[01:19:32] I love a now and later.

[01:19:37] Fair enough.

[01:19:38] Yeah.

[01:19:38] I don't know.

[01:19:38] I like,

[01:19:39] but right.

[01:19:40] When we,

[01:19:40] when the amulet first got introduced,

[01:19:42] I think one of the most interesting discussions I think we've had this

[01:19:45] season was about all the different ways that it can shake out and

[01:19:48] like all the pros and the cons to it.

[01:19:50] So I think it's in line with that,

[01:19:52] that we're having this debate of like now or later,

[01:19:55] you know?

[01:19:56] So I can't,

[01:19:58] that's just the thing is like,

[01:19:59] there's so many ways it can shake out.

[01:20:00] There's,

[01:20:01] there's honestly no way to predict what would be good and what

[01:20:03] wouldn't.

[01:20:04] So I don't know.

[01:20:05] I just think,

[01:20:05] you know,

[01:20:06] especially coming off of 46 or whatever,

[01:20:08] where people hold these idols or whatever,

[01:20:10] trying to make the perfect move.

[01:20:13] Sometimes you just got to get away with a few good moves.

[01:20:15] No,

[01:20:16] no,

[01:20:16] you're right.

[01:20:17] No,

[01:20:17] you are absolutely right.

[01:20:18] Here's my last thought on it.

[01:20:20] Right.

[01:20:21] What I mean by it can create options.

[01:20:25] You know how sometimes like,

[01:20:26] you know,

[01:20:27] we got to have another vote in case you play the shot in the dark.

[01:20:30] Right.

[01:20:30] Like,

[01:20:30] so it kind of automatically triggers something else.

[01:20:34] That's in my mind,

[01:20:35] why I will want to keep,

[01:20:38] to amulet for a little bit longer because I want to just trigger other

[01:20:41] mechanisms that like could potentially like keep me in the know and

[01:20:46] could potentially in this time where anybody can go for anything,

[01:20:51] another name.

[01:20:54] But I mean,

[01:20:55] listen,

[01:20:56] we could talk about it now.

[01:20:57] We can talk about it.

[01:20:58] Yeah.

[01:20:59] A small part of me wonders,

[01:21:01] like maybe the benefit to them never using it or holding onto it would

[01:21:07] actually just be that it would be less of a target in a way because maybe,

[01:21:15] maybe they don't ever come together,

[01:21:16] but then maybe everyone else is like,

[01:21:17] well,

[01:21:18] if we vote out any of them,

[01:21:20] then the other two have like,

[01:21:22] maybe it's like,

[01:21:23] maybe we just don't even touch them for a while,

[01:21:25] which if that's just a thought in the back of everyone's mind that it's

[01:21:28] like,

[01:21:28] Oh,

[01:21:28] I don't want to come for them at like right now.

[01:21:31] Then maybe that buys them some,

[01:21:33] I don't know.

[01:21:33] Like that's the flip side of it all because then it's not a target.

[01:21:38] It's actually a shield.

[01:21:41] But I don't know.

[01:21:42] Cause I'm just thinking if I was out there and I didn't have an amulet,

[01:21:46] I'd be like,

[01:21:46] okay,

[01:21:46] well this is kind of a target,

[01:21:48] but if,

[01:21:48] if we get rid of it now,

[01:21:50] then it becomes more powerful and I'm not that close with Andy and I

[01:21:53] don't know what he would do with it.

[01:21:54] Right.

[01:21:54] That's also sort of like,

[01:21:56] well,

[01:21:56] inevitably we do have to get rid of it because we can't just let all three of

[01:22:00] them go to the final five with it.

[01:22:02] Like that's insane.

[01:22:03] And if we voted them out later and then one of them has the idol later,

[01:22:07] we have less time to flush it.

[01:22:08] So it could work,

[01:22:09] but like it could work as if they don't touch them,

[01:22:12] but it can also work as like,

[01:22:14] maybe they do target them right away so they can get them the idol out,

[01:22:17] out of there as soon as possible.

[01:22:18] But I don't know.

[01:22:20] It's very complicated.

[01:22:22] Either way.

[01:22:23] Well,

[01:22:23] I guess we will have to wait and see if this was a good play for next

[01:22:28] week.

[01:22:29] But again,

[01:22:30] we thank you all for listening.

[01:22:32] Oh,

[01:22:32] hold on.

[01:22:33] Oh,

[01:22:33] okay.

[01:22:34] We got some crazy vote.

[01:22:36] I mean,

[01:22:36] this is one of the rare episodes.

[01:22:37] We see all the voting,

[01:22:39] like a lot of the voting confessionals before we have Germans or we have

[01:22:43] Andy speaking German,

[01:22:45] German,

[01:22:46] Andy.

[01:22:46] We have Sam and Sam.

[01:22:49] I had,

[01:22:50] you know,

[01:22:51] I give people flack for pre,

[01:22:54] pre preparing some,

[01:22:55] some lines,

[01:22:57] but I had been thinking,

[01:22:58] I was like,

[01:22:58] whenever someone votes Rome out,

[01:23:00] the bet that there's a line right there.

[01:23:02] It's like Rome wasn't built in a day,

[01:23:03] but this game can end in one.

[01:23:05] And then Sam verbatim,

[01:23:06] my guy says that in his confessional,

[01:23:09] which I thought was a great voting confessional.

[01:23:12] But yeah,

[01:23:12] I mean,

[01:23:13] we see all these voting confessionals and we know Rome's going to go home.

[01:23:17] But also Rome had the audacity.

[01:23:23] Okay.

[01:23:25] You just had the day that you had,

[01:23:28] right?

[01:23:29] You thought you was going to put everybody on soul.

[01:23:32] You had the nerve to get up to that voting booth,

[01:23:37] step on those three steps so that you could get up there and write it down and say,

[01:23:41] I'm a throw audible.

[01:23:43] I'm a,

[01:23:43] I'm a eat them with this one.

[01:23:45] And then you had the nerve to write Sam.

[01:23:51] But that is,

[01:23:53] I wouldn't have wanted Rome to go out any other way.

[01:23:56] I can't,

[01:23:56] but like,

[01:23:57] I'm like,

[01:23:57] my God,

[01:23:58] he does not stop.

[01:24:01] I love it.

[01:24:03] Yeah.

[01:24:04] I don't,

[01:24:04] I don't mind that.

[01:24:06] But he said,

[01:24:07] he was like,

[01:24:08] Oh,

[01:24:08] and then did you see when they pulled the Sam card and everybody started looking

[01:24:15] wrong?

[01:24:16] It was like,

[01:24:17] he was like,

[01:24:22] that,

[01:24:22] that contributes to Rome being a good team.

[01:24:24] Cause it's like,

[01:24:25] if say his plan had worked perfectly and then Sam gets a vote,

[01:24:30] we already know Rome was back at camp.

[01:24:32] Like,

[01:24:34] just trying to stir it up.

[01:24:36] So whether you love or you hate Rome,

[01:24:38] it's definitely,

[01:24:39] he's making good TV.

[01:24:41] And it just adds to the fact of you playing around,

[01:24:45] you acting like,

[01:24:47] and then they said your name and your jaw was really stuck like that.

[01:24:52] You was like,

[01:24:56] and this is how,

[01:24:57] you know,

[01:24:58] first of all,

[01:24:59] love Rome.

[01:24:59] Great for TV,

[01:25:00] but this is how,

[01:25:01] you know,

[01:25:01] that man was hurt.

[01:25:05] He said to say,

[01:25:06] he said like,

[01:25:08] good.

[01:25:09] Y'all got me.

[01:25:10] Good move.

[01:25:11] It's an honor to sit up there.

[01:25:13] Jeff,

[01:25:14] Jeff snubs his tour.

[01:25:15] She turned around and let me say,

[01:25:16] good move.

[01:25:18] It was an honor to sit up there.

[01:25:19] Jeff has there like,

[01:25:20] okay,

[01:25:21] you can walk away.

[01:25:22] He walked.

[01:25:22] Good move.

[01:25:24] It was an honor to sit up there.

[01:25:25] Jeff,

[01:25:25] like he was literally saying the same thing over and over again.

[01:25:28] And like,

[01:25:30] and he asked for the hug.

[01:25:32] Where am I?

[01:25:33] Where am I?

[01:25:34] Where am I?

[01:25:35] Can I get a hug?

[01:25:37] Yeah.

[01:25:38] I,

[01:25:40] I definitely think we will see Rome again.

[01:25:42] And I definitely think again,

[01:25:45] Michaela was a pre-merge the first time she played.

[01:25:48] And I think she was at the same spot that Rome was at.

[01:25:51] I definitely think there's a huge chance we will see Rome again.

[01:25:56] He was a character.

[01:25:58] It was great to watch him.

[01:26:00] And people were comparing on Twitter.

[01:26:02] Like who,

[01:26:03] if you only got one slot to fill on 50 and it's between Rome or Q,

[01:26:07] who are you picking?

[01:26:07] Oh,

[01:26:08] it's Q hands down.

[01:26:10] Come on.

[01:26:10] Let's not even play this game.

[01:26:12] No,

[01:26:12] no disrespect.

[01:26:14] But like,

[01:26:14] I agree.

[01:26:15] I agree.

[01:26:16] I agree.

[01:26:17] I mean,

[01:26:18] look,

[01:26:18] Rome,

[01:26:19] it's a,

[01:26:19] it's an interesting,

[01:26:21] it's an interesting dilemma because did Rome make some great TV?

[01:26:27] Yes.

[01:26:28] But if you ask the majority of fans,

[01:26:32] if they liked Rome,

[01:26:35] but,

[01:26:35] and so,

[01:26:37] but here's the thing though,

[01:26:38] but I feel like that works more in your favor.

[01:26:40] If more of the fans don't like you,

[01:26:42] I think that that's an even more reason to bring you back.

[01:26:45] To me,

[01:26:47] I don't want to be harsh,

[01:26:49] but there's,

[01:26:50] there's,

[01:26:50] there's a difference between like,

[01:26:53] there's,

[01:26:53] there's people you love to root against and Rome starts to tiptoe into that

[01:26:58] boundary,

[01:26:58] but there's also people you just are rooting against.

[01:27:01] Cause you're just not feeling it.

[01:27:04] And like,

[01:27:05] and I hate to say it,

[01:27:06] but I think a lot of what's up.

[01:27:09] Where are you at on that scale?

[01:27:10] I don't even think anyone's thinking about me,

[01:27:13] but I don't like,

[01:27:15] are you dodging the question?

[01:27:17] No,

[01:27:17] I'm just curious.

[01:27:18] You,

[01:27:18] you,

[01:27:19] you are like,

[01:27:20] just hearing fan sentiment.

[01:27:22] A lot of Rome was just very exasperating person that for a lot of people to

[01:27:26] watch.

[01:27:26] And so Q,

[01:27:29] if we're talking this direct comparison,

[01:27:31] he's a little bit wild.

[01:27:33] And a little bit villainous in his own ways,

[01:27:36] but has this charisma that people really like enjoyed.

[01:27:42] So I don't,

[01:27:43] you know,

[01:27:43] I don't want to get into it,

[01:27:44] but I,

[01:27:45] for me,

[01:27:46] for me,

[01:27:47] I think one Rome season is enough for me,

[01:27:53] but I would say the same thing about,

[01:27:56] you know,

[01:27:57] one or two big brother players this season that some people are dying to have

[01:28:01] back.

[01:28:01] So my,

[01:28:03] my opinion is not the end all be all.

[01:28:07] Here's a,

[01:28:07] I have a bold prediction,

[01:28:09] even though it's going to stand what I,

[01:28:10] I have a feeling.

[01:28:13] I could see,

[01:28:14] I didn't see the previews.

[01:28:15] You know,

[01:28:15] I don't watch the previews because I don't like spoilers,

[01:28:17] but there's a world where you ever read books or see stories where like,

[01:28:23] there's the character that everyone hates and wants to get rid of.

[01:28:26] And you do all the things to get rid of the character.

[01:28:27] And then when that person is gone,

[01:28:30] then the person that did their best to like fight nobly and get that character,

[01:28:34] then they kind of like,

[01:28:37] like,

[01:28:39] I could potentially see that for Saul.

[01:28:42] Yeah.

[01:28:43] Saul.

[01:28:43] But mind you,

[01:28:44] I would love it.

[01:28:45] But like,

[01:28:45] I don't know why I was like thinking that today on the airplane when I was all by

[01:28:48] myself and nobody was with me because I was left.

[01:28:50] But,

[01:28:51] um,

[01:28:51] I was,

[01:28:52] yeah.

[01:28:53] Saul was kind of the guy that did it for Rome.

[01:28:56] Cause like when they were all talking and comparing,

[01:28:58] Saul was like,

[01:28:59] yeah,

[01:28:59] he's like,

[01:29:00] that's what he does.

[01:29:01] That's his MO.

[01:29:04] I think Saul pushed him off the cliff.

[01:29:06] Oh no,

[01:29:07] but he didn't push him.

[01:29:09] This is Florida.

[01:29:12] What I will say about Rome,

[01:29:13] cause I feel like I feel like I came out a little harsh on Rome.

[01:29:17] I wonder if after this season and after seeing how he was received by,

[01:29:22] you know,

[01:29:22] the cast or the fans,

[01:29:24] maybe he found a little bit more balance in his personality and maybe coming

[01:29:29] back.

[01:29:29] It could be a great second chance where it's like,

[01:29:31] I realized these things about myself first season.

[01:29:34] Now I can fix them.

[01:29:36] And it wasn't so much that I didn't like Rome as like a person or anything.

[01:29:40] It was more like Rome is such a big character because we talked about this in

[01:29:45] the pre-march.

[01:29:45] He eats up,

[01:29:46] he automatically eats up so much screen time.

[01:29:49] And so part of me thinks like,

[01:29:50] if I saw Rome on a season 50,

[01:29:53] I know half of his tribe's confessionals are going to be Rome.

[01:29:56] And if he's up there with some of the greats,

[01:29:59] then I don't want that.

[01:30:01] Um,

[01:30:02] is,

[01:30:02] is,

[01:30:02] is I guess what I need to say,

[01:30:04] but I think it depends on the season because to be honest,

[01:30:08] uh,

[01:30:08] the,

[01:30:09] uh,

[01:30:09] the Reba people were saying that,

[01:30:10] that about Sifu.

[01:30:12] They thought that his personality was so big that they wouldn't get any

[01:30:15] screen time at all.

[01:30:16] And they just didn't edit them like that.

[01:30:21] Anyway.

[01:30:23] Yeah.

[01:30:25] Well,

[01:30:25] that's been your recap of episode six of survivor.

[01:30:28] 47.

[01:30:29] We'll be back next week.

[01:30:30] Covering episode seven will be in new Orleans.

[01:30:35] If you haven't gotten your Bryce and wind tour,

[01:30:37] 47 tickets,

[01:30:38] they are available and we will see you next week.

[01:30:40] Thank you so much.

[01:30:42] We out.

[01:30:43] Tongue in cheek.

[01:30:45] Cut in the bag.

[01:30:46] Oh,

[01:30:47] it's a purple pants.

[01:30:48] It's a purple pants.

[01:30:49] It's a purple pants podcast.

[01:30:51] You better get your headphones and listen up quick.

[01:30:54] It's a purple pants podcast.

[01:30:56] You better listen in public.

[01:30:58] Might make your stomach hurt.

[01:30:59] It's a purple pants podcast.

[01:31:01] You're trying to unwind.

[01:31:03] You better get that box wine.

[01:31:05] It's a purple pants podcast.

[01:31:07] You're trying to get your snack.

[01:31:08] You better hurry right back though.

[01:31:10] It's a purple pants.

[01:31:11] It's a purple pants.
