[00:03:38] That's fine, we'll talk about it when we get there.

[00:03:40] I'm good.

[00:03:42] You're so, I'm salty, it's fine.

[00:03:44] Thank you.

[00:03:45] Good, we're joined with more important people

[00:03:47] than I today, I'm very, very excited.

[00:03:50] Can I do it?

[00:03:51] Can I do it?

[00:03:52] I'm leading in, sing it in, sing.

[00:03:56] I hate to play favorites, but I can't help myself.

[00:03:59] If you're looking at the screen,

[00:04:01] you will know that we are joined with the beautiful,

[00:04:04] the talented, the tall and model-esque

[00:04:07] and wonderful Todd and Ashley.

[00:04:10] Woo!

[00:04:11] Hey, what's up?

[00:04:13] What's up, Brooke and podcast?

[00:04:14] Thank you for having us on.

[00:04:16] Yay, Bryce got me a bell

[00:04:18] and I'm irresponsible with it now.

[00:04:19] I love the bell, thank you so much for having us.

[00:04:22] It's a pleasure to be here.

[00:04:24] And you know what, after a pretty awesome episode,

[00:04:27] so I'm really excited.

[00:04:29] We're gonna get into it.

[00:04:30] I feel like this is great.

[00:04:31] So I take so many notes, I have 16 pages,

[00:04:34] but honestly, you are our first guest of the season.

[00:04:36] And when we talked about who we wanted,

[00:04:39] honestly, it was so easy.

[00:04:41] It was like, come on Ashley.

[00:04:43] I don't need these notes today.

[00:04:44] I'm not doing anything.

[00:04:45] I'm just gonna sit back.

[00:04:47] I'm gonna let Todd take over.

[00:04:50] Oh no, no, we don't need no dad tours on this podcast.

[00:04:53] No, dad detour, let's go, let's go.

[00:04:57] This is the first four hour purple pants

[00:04:59] amazing race podcast.

[00:05:01] We went through all different kinds of avenues.

[00:05:03] Yeah, yeah.

[00:05:04] That's not good.

[00:05:05] I do have a question for you guys

[00:05:06] before we get started.

[00:05:07] What is it like after your season has aired

[00:05:10] and a new amazing race season is on?

[00:05:14] Okay.

[00:05:15] Wait, there's two answers here.

[00:05:16] Yeah, Ashley's answer and then my answer.

[00:05:17] My answer is the salty answer.

[00:05:19] Todd's is the more, like very much like how we ran it.

[00:05:23] I'm a little salty, Todd's a little positive.

[00:05:25] I feel like for me, it's I compare everything

[00:05:28] to how we raced.

[00:05:30] And so I just, I'm a little salty about it.

[00:05:33] I'm like, well, we would have killed that challenge

[00:05:35] or we would have won the race on this.

[00:05:38] Like it just, I'm just so salty

[00:05:40] and Todd's more of like, you gotta think positive.

[00:05:42] This is a great season.

[00:05:44] Well, my perspective is it's like a new normal, right?

[00:05:48] Like we're in this new world and you two know it.

[00:05:51] You guys been in it.

[00:05:52] We don't know.

[00:05:52] This is our first season after our season.

[00:05:55] And so you got to fight like all types of emotion,

[00:05:58] all types of like feeling certain ways

[00:06:01] and really not getting like low key jealous.

[00:06:04] Like, hey, it's not us anymore, right?

[00:06:07] What I say.

[00:06:07] I'm like not even low key jealous.

[00:06:10] I'm legitimate like out there.

[00:06:11] I will tell you, Ashley,

[00:06:12] you will never stop doing that where you will go.

[00:06:15] So I think it was willing to change.

[00:06:17] Yeah, but you won.

[00:06:18] You won.

[00:06:19] Does not matter.

[00:06:20] Does not matter.

[00:06:22] I was a musical.

[00:06:23] Oh yes it does.

[00:06:24] No, no, musical theater person.

[00:06:25] And when a season after yours,

[00:06:27] the first task is like in Trinidad and Tobago

[00:06:29] and it's like play a steel drum

[00:06:31] and do something musical or this and that.

[00:06:32] And I'm like, what did we get to do?

[00:06:36] Like it was like all stairs and all misery

[00:06:40] and all sudden it's like.

[00:06:41] No, but we have a different perspective

[00:06:42] because you're like, oh, we didn't get to do that.

[00:06:45] Like I'm thinking like, man, I could have won this one.

[00:06:49] Cause like we didn't win.

[00:06:50] So not even the first place.

[00:06:51] I'm like we would have for every single episode so far

[00:06:54] Todd and I are like,

[00:06:56] we could have probably gotten first place there.

[00:06:58] Plus it's easy thinking higher of yourself.

[00:07:00] You're like, I would have killed this.

[00:07:02] After the fact.

[00:07:03] After the fact.

[00:07:03] Totally, I get it.

[00:07:05] I totally understand.

[00:07:06] Do either of you speak fluent Spanish?

[00:07:10] No, poquito, poquito espanol.

[00:07:11] Yeah.

[00:07:12] Well I am really impressed

[00:07:14] that you then think that you would have.

[00:07:15] I mean, I believe in you both

[00:07:17] but it's sort of become a running joke

[00:07:19] that if you don't speak fluent Spanish

[00:07:20] you're no longer on this season of The Amazing Race.

[00:07:23] Clearly.

[00:07:24] I know, right?

[00:07:25] Yeah.

[00:07:26] Yeah, I mean we took, like that was kind of part

[00:07:28] of our, what was our.

[00:07:31] We met during our Spanish and English class.

[00:07:35] And so we learned nothing that year.

[00:07:37] So we probably would have been terrible on this season

[00:07:40] because you know.

[00:07:41] I just knew all the dirty words and all that.

[00:07:43] Yeah, yeah.

[00:07:45] We got nothing accomplished so.

[00:07:46] Is there a team that you guys see

[00:07:48] on this season that you can see yourself in?

[00:07:52] Well at first like I really gravitate towards Rod.

[00:07:56] Rod and Letitia just because he's like a beast.

[00:07:59] He's a big dude.

[00:08:00] He's like athletic, right?

[00:08:02] And so I'm like, yeah.

[00:08:03] But then like you see him,

[00:08:05] I think two episodes ago he like leaped over a whole fence.

[00:08:09] And I'm like, oh man.

[00:08:10] Like it was six inches off the ground he left.

[00:08:13] I watched that several times.

[00:08:15] It was ridiculous.

[00:08:16] So I was like, okay, all right.

[00:08:17] This is a different level, right?

[00:08:19] I also think too the yellow team,

[00:08:21] Derek and is it.

[00:08:22] Shalisa.

[00:08:23] Shalisa.

[00:08:24] So I just love how they bicker and banter

[00:08:28] because I really do feel like that was how Todd

[00:08:30] and I were a lot of the times

[00:08:32] and it has a lot to do with.

[00:08:33] Sorry, our kids just got home from school.

[00:08:37] It really does have a lot to do with like

[00:08:38] how long you've known somebody,

[00:08:40] how well you know somebody.

[00:08:42] And so like I could watch them run the race

[00:08:45] like every season they are hilarious.

[00:08:48] And like she mentioned,

[00:08:49] that's just kind of how they communicate.

[00:08:51] So I am all about team yellow.

[00:08:53] And you know what?

[00:08:54] I love team yellow.

[00:08:55] Like they don't pull any punches.

[00:08:56] Like that's them, right?

[00:08:58] And so they talk to each other

[00:08:59] the way real married couples talk to each other.

[00:09:02] So I was like, that's like goals for us.

[00:09:05] Definitely.

[00:09:06] Could not agree more.

[00:09:07] I love it.

[00:09:08] So where are we at this episode, Miss Kam Hi?

[00:09:12] Oh, I still have to do the legwork.

[00:09:14] You do.

[00:09:16] All right.

[00:09:17] We're in another Spanish.

[00:09:18] She has our notes ready.

[00:09:19] All right.

[00:09:20] We're in another Spanish speaking country

[00:09:22] because whatever, but I'll get over it.

[00:09:24] And we're doing a mega leg

[00:09:25] where we have two roadblocks, two detours,

[00:09:28] double the everything, quadruple the Spanish

[00:09:30] and we're leaving in three groups.

[00:09:33] How do you guys feel about leaving in the,

[00:09:35] did you guys leave in group starts?

[00:09:36] You did.

[00:09:37] No.

[00:09:38] No.

[00:09:39] Yeah.

[00:09:40] We're the first team back from the,

[00:09:42] like we're original way of doing things.

[00:09:45] Yeah.

[00:09:46] So how do you feel about this?

[00:09:48] I would be a little bitter.

[00:09:49] Like if I came in first place

[00:09:51] and I was still grouped in with the top three,

[00:09:54] because that's the whole advantage of coming in first

[00:09:57] is not only do you win that leg or first or second

[00:09:59] is you get to leave earlier.

[00:10:01] So, I mean, I understand why they do it,

[00:10:03] but again, it's just one of those things

[00:10:05] where it kind of pulls you down a bit, I guess,

[00:10:09] but I guess it is beneficial for the other teams.

[00:10:11] So it's like, I would hate it if I was in first,

[00:10:14] but I'd love it if I was in third.

[00:10:16] Oh, they gave up.

[00:10:18] Oh no, they're back.

[00:10:19] Ha ha ha.

[00:10:24] We're.

[00:10:25] I think I pressed play.

[00:10:26] So we back.

[00:10:27] Okay.

[00:10:27] Yay.

[00:10:29] So they're starting in the group start times again,

[00:10:31] which is great if you're in third place,

[00:10:33] crappy if you're in first place,

[00:10:34] really great if you're in last place

[00:10:36] as long as you're starting with somebody else.

[00:10:38] And so group one is Ricky and Caesar,

[00:10:41] because who else would it be?

[00:10:42] And Juan and Shane who have decided that this leg,

[00:10:44] they are gonna do a clean race.

[00:10:46] They're not gonna let little mistakes trip them up,

[00:10:49] which either means that they're gonna come in first

[00:10:51] or they're going home,

[00:10:52] because that's the way that The Amazing Race does things.

[00:10:56] And then group two, you have the team of six,

[00:10:59] which is what I'm gonna call them for the rest of the day,

[00:11:00] because they have all decided to work

[00:11:02] as one team of six people.

[00:11:03] So you have, oh, just Todd and Ashley,

[00:11:06] you guys should know that like it is sacrilege

[00:11:09] apparently on this podcast to say anything

[00:11:12] other than 100% niceties about Angie,

[00:11:15] because Bryce is an Angie stan.

[00:11:18] So I get a little bit raked across the coals

[00:11:21] if I'm not like the most positive.

[00:11:23] But do you guys, what do you think about Angie and Danny?

[00:11:27] Be honest.

[00:11:28] Oh.

[00:11:30] Danny's extremely good with her,

[00:11:32] but almost too soft with her.

[00:11:34] Like he needs to be a little more like,

[00:11:36] mom, like this is my dream, let's go.

[00:11:39] I like them.

[00:11:40] I really do.

[00:11:41] However, I do feel that their approach to the race

[00:11:47] is completely different from, let me rephrase.

[00:11:52] I feel like they are racing this race as super fans,

[00:11:55] not necessarily racing the race to win.

[00:11:58] That makes sense.

[00:11:59] So, okay, cause you know, I love Angie

[00:12:01] and I love you Ashley, but I'm gonna have to,

[00:12:03] so I feel you, I feel it's Danny,

[00:12:06] cause I feel Angie is running the race to run the race,

[00:12:09] which is reason 700 to 6,000 why I do love Angie.

[00:12:13] But like figure this, Ashley,

[00:12:16] like say I think why I'm so connected to Angie

[00:12:19] is because like my mom and say maybe 30 years from now,

[00:12:23] your middle child, your middle child's your daughter,

[00:12:26] right?

[00:12:27] She's my youngest.

[00:12:28] Your youngest.

[00:12:29] So say your youngest, like that's her dream.

[00:12:31] And like, would you not go on it

[00:12:33] and do your best to do whatever you could do to like?

[00:12:36] 100%.

[00:12:37] 100%.

[00:12:39] So I will say this.

[00:12:40] So I think overall, I will say I agree with you

[00:12:45] because looking back at it,

[00:12:47] I think it was two episodes ago

[00:12:48] where Angie was the one who was telling Danny,

[00:12:51] like keep your trap.

[00:12:52] Shut up.

[00:12:53] Stop it.

[00:12:54] Yeah.

[00:12:54] Stop we're done here.

[00:12:55] So I do think that she has more of a different approach

[00:12:59] to the race where Danny is more of the fan

[00:13:01] where he just wants the experience.

[00:13:04] But I think Angie can kind of see full circle

[00:13:06] of like, hey, cool, but like also know

[00:13:09] who you're racing with.

[00:13:11] I will say Danny pissed me off in this episode

[00:13:14] cause it's like stop helping people bro.

[00:13:17] Some people come back and they come back,

[00:13:19] hey, let's all work together.

[00:13:20] It's like, no dude, like time to compete.

[00:13:23] Let's go.

[00:13:24] I feel a little for Danny

[00:13:25] because as someone who was like the weaker, slower member

[00:13:29] of their team and who always felt that

[00:13:32] as long as you can see another team

[00:13:34] then you're in a good place.

[00:13:34] Like the worst feeling,

[00:13:36] I don't know how many times you felt it on the race

[00:13:38] but the worst, worst, worst feeling

[00:13:40] is to not know where you are.

[00:13:43] Like what place you're currently in

[00:13:44] is you can't see the little Chiron on the bottom of the screen

[00:13:46] that says currently in second place or whatever

[00:13:49] but also to not see anybody else around you for

[00:13:52] and the longer that goes on, the worse it is.

[00:13:54] So I sort of get what Danny is doing.

[00:13:56] Like keep the people near you.

[00:13:58] So at least you know that somebody's near you.

[00:14:01] You're doing, if somebody's doing wrong

[00:14:02] at least two teams are doing wrong.

[00:14:04] So I get that.

[00:14:05] And I also see how he sort of wants to help everyone

[00:14:07] because I do think he thinks that there may come a time

[00:14:11] given their physicality

[00:14:14] that they may need the help back.

[00:14:16] And I think Danny, I wouldn't see it

[00:14:19] because I don't think he would ever tell his mom off on TV

[00:14:22] but I would not be surprised

[00:14:23] if they went back to their hotel room

[00:14:25] after this last episode and Danny was like,

[00:14:27] mom, like it wouldn't have hurt us to like help them.

[00:14:30] Now we've pissed off two teams

[00:14:32] and what if we need them?

[00:14:33] We may need them.

[00:14:34] So the one thing I really do like about Danny

[00:14:37] this episode is when Angie, no shade,

[00:14:40] thought about taking a penalty,

[00:14:42] the words came out of her mouth.

[00:14:44] Like she'd already done the race course a few times.

[00:14:47] Like she could do it, but she thought about penalty.

[00:14:50] Yes and he said,

[00:14:53] if I hear that word come out of your mouth,

[00:14:55] things will go wrong.

[00:14:57] You are not taking a penalty.

[00:14:58] He knew the amount of time, he knew the four hours.

[00:15:00] I'm sure he knew that that wasn't gonna start

[00:15:02] until another team showed up.

[00:15:03] Like four hours don't start Bryce just so you know

[00:15:06] the second you take a penalty.

[00:15:08] If you take a penalty

[00:15:09] and another team doesn't show up for another hour,

[00:15:12] your penalty doesn't start until the next team shows up.

[00:15:15] So you're technically taking a five hour penalty.

[00:15:17] So he said to her, take as much time as you need

[00:15:21] but don't let that word cross your lips.

[00:15:23] So I appreciate Danny's assertiveness in that moment.

[00:15:26] I'm also a fan of the team,

[00:15:28] but I will say there are some other teams

[00:15:30] that are really, really climbing the ranks for me

[00:15:34] especially the teams that were group three

[00:15:37] which if I have it right, who was group three?

[00:15:40] Oh yeah, Yvonne and Melissa.

[00:15:42] Love them need them to have more airtime,

[00:15:44] think they're hilarious.

[00:15:45] And then Sunny and Bizzy who are lunatics

[00:15:49] in the best possible way.

[00:15:51] I mean that as just the best compliment in the world.

[00:15:54] And then, you know, Derek and Shalisa

[00:15:57] but it is what it is.

[00:16:00] And I'm actually really, really sad

[00:16:02] because I enjoy them so much.

[00:16:04] I will say with that race challenge,

[00:16:07] Danny's politicking came through for him.

[00:16:10] So I mean, you gotta pick a side, Todd.

[00:16:13] You want him to not help or do you want them to help?

[00:16:16] So I'm just saying coach, you can pick a side.

[00:16:20] Okay, so when you're in the, yeah.

[00:16:23] When you're playing to survive,

[00:16:26] when you're playing to survive, you're with the pack.

[00:16:28] When you're playing to win, you're by yourself.

[00:16:30] And so they're obviously playing to survive.

[00:16:32] We got caught up in that as well on our race.

[00:16:35] So it's like, yeah, the scariest part

[00:16:38] is being in first or last

[00:16:40] because no one's around, right?

[00:16:41] And so he's playing to survive and he's doing it

[00:16:43] but you're not gonna win that way.

[00:16:45] You're just not.

[00:16:46] And he did preface it in the beginning of the episode

[00:16:49] where he was like,

[00:16:50] hey, we're not here to win the mega leg.

[00:16:51] We're here to survive the mega leg.

[00:16:53] And so he did, I do think that they are smart

[00:16:58] in their approach.

[00:16:59] Okay, so Bryce, I pick your side.

[00:17:01] Thank you.

[00:17:01] Full circle, full circle.

[00:17:04] You don't.

[00:17:05] You gotta talk me into it.

[00:17:06] But I'm saying they could be down at the halftime, Todd.

[00:17:10] And then that third quarter,

[00:17:13] Angie and Danny could tap in.

[00:17:16] We don't know.

[00:17:17] Yeah, but you know how the race is.

[00:17:19] You get so caught up in the way you run it.

[00:17:23] I don't see them switching it up.

[00:17:24] It's not like a light switch you can turn off and on.

[00:17:27] So I think, I don't know.

[00:17:29] They might finish around fifth or sixth.

[00:17:33] I don't think they're gonna make it to the top three.

[00:17:36] With that.

[00:17:37] If they do, I only think it's if Angie beats

[00:17:39] the helping out of Danny.

[00:17:40] I think she will just have to force him to stop.

[00:17:44] I agree.

[00:17:45] And if she can make him stop.

[00:17:48] And if there's a lot of puzzles

[00:17:50] and if there's not a lot of running

[00:17:52] and if there's a lot of mental.

[00:17:54] Also.

[00:17:55] Then I think this is a fighting chance.

[00:17:56] I agree.

[00:17:57] Also, I wonder how the other teams feel about Danny

[00:18:00] because it's like, dude, you're helping me like,

[00:18:03] an hour ago.

[00:18:04] Now I see you helping somebody else.

[00:18:06] At some point you gotta be like, bro,

[00:18:08] stop helping everyone.

[00:18:11] Help me but don't help everyone.

[00:18:13] I also think that when you do form

[00:18:15] those big strong alliances like we saw in this episode,

[00:18:20] me just being my salty player that I am,

[00:18:22] I would try to create an alliance

[00:18:24] to specifically go after them.

[00:18:26] So it's like, okay, I see you three icing me out

[00:18:30] at this detour.

[00:18:31] Guess what's gonna happen next?

[00:18:33] I'm gonna pair up with this group

[00:18:35] and we're going hard for you.

[00:18:36] So I do feel like as much as an alliance can help,

[00:18:39] it could also bite you in the butt.

[00:18:40] Yeah, because if you go like mono-e-mono

[00:18:44] with that team, it's like in a foot race,

[00:18:46] you're like, okay, that's fine.

[00:18:48] And we've seen Rod and Letitia clearly like they,

[00:18:51] Danny and Angie might help them,

[00:18:53] but when it's time for them to take off,

[00:18:55] they're not looking back.

[00:18:56] And so I do get upset.

[00:18:57] No, disagree.

[00:18:58] I've said this before, I'm disagreeing with you.

[00:19:00] Rod and Letitia did the bicycle

[00:19:02] so they get to this detour,

[00:19:03] it's biking or the boledero thing.

[00:19:05] Rod and Letitia finished the biking

[00:19:07] because obviously they finished first

[00:19:09] because his thighs are the thickness of my waist.

[00:19:12] And he, this is the biggest legs.

[00:19:15] He is so strong.

[00:19:16] And they finished and they didn't leave.

[00:19:18] They sat and they got directions.

[00:19:20] Do you wanna know why?

[00:19:21] And short of peddling the bike for some,

[00:19:24] because they needed Danny for the directions.

[00:19:25] Because they needed Danny for the directions, right?

[00:19:27] Like they needed Danny.

[00:19:29] That's true.

[00:19:31] That's gonna be their downfalls, the directions.

[00:19:33] And why the heck did they choose the roping challenge

[00:19:38] to begin with?

[00:19:39] Like that bicycle challenge was Rod 100%.

[00:19:45] They should have chose that right off the bat.

[00:19:47] I mean, this leg was made for Rod.

[00:19:48] We always say that if you stay in the race long enough,

[00:19:50] there's gonna be a task that's made for you.

[00:19:52] Absent football being the task,

[00:19:55] the soccer where he could just literally

[00:19:57] knock everybody over, and the bicycle

[00:19:59] where he could use his brute strength of his legs.

[00:20:01] Like this day was made for him.

[00:20:04] So what happens is we have the bicycle

[00:20:07] where you're basically soul cycling your way

[00:20:09] to chop apart these plastic bottles.

[00:20:10] And you have the, I wanna say boladero.

[00:20:13] I think that's the right way to say it,

[00:20:14] but I'm not sure.

[00:20:16] Where you have to throw the bolo around

[00:20:18] a really, really realistic looking fake cow thing.

[00:20:23] You get 10 tries, you gotta do it in,

[00:20:26] each of you have to do it within the same 10 tries.

[00:20:30] And so Ricky and Saesar go to the boladero.

[00:20:33] By the way, cutest little outfit with them.

[00:20:34] Like that's the outfit I would have kept for,

[00:20:36] did you guys keep anything from your season?

[00:20:38] Did you have any cute little things that you got to keep?

[00:20:40] No, cause I would've, but I was like,

[00:20:43] I ain't carrying it.

[00:20:43] So like just toss it out.

[00:20:45] Ashley looked pretty amazing

[00:20:46] in like the India dancing challenge, but they didn't.

[00:20:49] Imagine if I put that whole guard down.

[00:20:52] Bouncing pots on her head, yeah.

[00:20:54] Did they make you change out of it

[00:20:56] when you finished the task?

[00:20:58] Yeah.

[00:20:59] Cause we have one in Greece

[00:20:59] where we had these ridiculous little like pom poms

[00:21:02] and adorableness, but they made us change out of it.

[00:21:04] In Venice, we got these like gondolier shirts

[00:21:08] and they didn't make us change out of it.

[00:21:09] And it's sitting in my closet cause I can't.

[00:21:11] I actually like when they let you race,

[00:21:13] continue your race in the uniform

[00:21:16] or whatever the setup is.

[00:21:18] Yeah, I just feel like it's, I don't know,

[00:21:20] more enjoyable to watch anyway.

[00:21:23] Especially if people look a little ridiculous

[00:21:25] and they're running through the streets

[00:21:26] and people are like, why is that person dressed like,

[00:21:27] I don't understand.

[00:21:29] So then one is Shane show up

[00:21:31] and they're doing the Bola-daro

[00:21:33] and then the team of six show up

[00:21:35] and one decides to switch

[00:21:36] so they all decide to switch

[00:21:37] and they go to the bicycling.

[00:21:39] And then you have Yvonne and Melissa do the bolos

[00:21:43] and you notice because Bryce,

[00:21:44] we said this once before,

[00:21:46] Ricky and Sacer were not helpful

[00:21:47] and didn't tell people where to go.

[00:21:49] They told without even being asked for help,

[00:21:51] Yvonne and Melissa where to go for the bolo thing.

[00:21:54] So I think either they're trying to garner some goodwill

[00:21:57] or they just didn't realize

[00:21:58] that they were being helpful in the moment.

[00:22:01] At the start of the season,

[00:22:03] do they know that there are any U-turns?

[00:22:06] I think that I would guess that they know.

[00:22:09] I mean, it's this far along

[00:22:11] and they haven't heard anything about anything.

[00:22:12] I would guess.

[00:22:15] I would love to see how they would do on a season

[00:22:17] with all this stuff.

[00:22:21] Hey. It's so true.

[00:22:22] It does change how you decide to start

[00:22:25] and how you treat other players.

[00:22:27] It really is such a huge dynamic of the amazing race.

[00:22:31] You know, so.

[00:22:32] So I have a few theories.

[00:22:34] Oh, buckle up.

[00:22:35] Okay, so. Let's hear them.

[00:22:36] Okay, so on this last,

[00:22:38] on this last, what is it?

[00:22:40] Detour, right?

[00:22:43] Number one, Rod and Letitia,

[00:22:44] they chose the wrong one, right?

[00:22:47] So initially.

[00:22:48] Initially, yeah, initially.

[00:22:49] So that is a, that's problematic, right?

[00:22:52] Number two, Cesar and Ricky,

[00:22:56] man, my, like I tip my cap to them

[00:23:00] because they stuck it out and they got it done, right?

[00:23:03] And it's like that one wasn't

[00:23:05] maybe the best challenge for them,

[00:23:07] but like they stuck with it and they got it done.

[00:23:10] So that was very impressive because how easy,

[00:23:13] especially once they saw Juan and Shane,

[00:23:15] like bam and out of there,

[00:23:18] like you're starting to be like, hey, should we,

[00:23:20] should we get out of here and try the other one?

[00:23:22] So they stuck with it and they pulled it out.

[00:23:24] And so that to me,

[00:23:26] that perseverance and the way they pulled it out,

[00:23:28] I don't know, man,

[00:23:29] that like they're looking like a really,

[00:23:30] really strong team.

[00:23:31] Yeah, they are.

[00:23:32] They are definitely.

[00:23:33] I think we would all be very surprised

[00:23:35] if they didn't make it.

[00:23:36] Now I don't know what you guys know.

[00:23:38] And if you know, don't say,

[00:23:39] cause Bryce and I make it a point to know nothing.

[00:23:42] But I would be really,

[00:23:43] really surprised if running to the final mat,

[00:23:47] Ricky and Stacer were not there.

[00:23:49] Like just given, you know,

[00:23:51] that they're not going to end up in some country

[00:23:53] where they don't speak the language

[00:23:54] and how well and smart they're racing.

[00:23:56] And on this one, I lost a little respect for our team.

[00:24:00] Oh, we got to say hi now.

[00:24:01] Not like holding anything back.

[00:24:03] Honestly, like Vinny, like Vinny bro,

[00:24:05] like come on dude.

[00:24:06] Like it's just pedaling a bike, you know?

[00:24:10] And so it's like, dude, like come on.

[00:24:13] And so that kind of like irks me in the wrong way.

[00:24:17] And then I think her name is Amber.

[00:24:19] Amber.

[00:24:20] Amber, like she didn't know how to back up the pedal

[00:24:23] to go forward again.

[00:24:24] Like you need to like physically grab her foot

[00:24:27] and like move it back and forth.

[00:24:29] It's like, come on, figure it out.

[00:24:30] So like that's very problematic.

[00:24:32] I feel for Amber.

[00:24:33] I feel like I'm protective of Amber.

[00:24:35] Cause I feel like Amber is me and I am her.

[00:24:37] And as the slower, a little bit weaker,

[00:24:41] not maybe smarter.

[00:24:43] She might be the smarter of the team,

[00:24:44] but she's physically less capable

[00:24:49] or at least she believes she is.

[00:24:51] Right, but you get that on every team.

[00:24:53] Every team you kind of know like,

[00:24:55] I am not like the best at this

[00:24:57] or I'm not the best at that.

[00:24:58] And, but like the way Vinny like has said like,

[00:25:01] hurry up, you need to run faster.

[00:25:03] Like you need to hurry up.

[00:25:04] Right, that's very hard for someone who is not able to.

[00:25:08] Cause I feel like Amber is literally giving it her all.

[00:25:10] I don't think she's sitting there going,

[00:25:12] I need to walk.

[00:25:13] I can't do it.

[00:25:14] It's true.

[00:25:15] And I just feel like he doesn't realize

[00:25:19] that he's being so hard on her

[00:25:20] because for him it comes very easily.

[00:25:22] So I have a special soft spot in my heart

[00:25:25] for the girl who I feel like is trying her best

[00:25:27] but her body just won't let her do anymore.

[00:25:30] Which is fine.

[00:25:31] And so like my, I think my bone to pick is with Vinny

[00:25:35] because a couple of episodes ago

[00:25:37] he's yelling at her to hurry up and run faster.

[00:25:40] And then all of a sudden you can't pedal a bike.

[00:25:42] I mean, you know, it's like, come on dude.

[00:25:45] Like, you know, and so like there's a few times

[00:25:47] on the race where I did not go there with Ashley.

[00:25:50] Like I'm not going to yell at her to hurry up.

[00:25:52] Cause that'd be like, oh well then I'm gonna

[00:25:54] I'm gonna go with her.

[00:25:55] Right, and so it's like, wow.

[00:25:55] He got away with talking to her like that?

[00:25:57] That's crazy.

[00:25:58] I will say I did like Amber when Vinny was like,

[00:26:01] he was just like going so hard on the bike

[00:26:03] and she was all, it's not a sprint Vinny.

[00:26:07] It's a marathon.

[00:26:08] It's a marathon.

[00:26:08] But I love that though because like

[00:26:10] I felt like that was like her time to be like

[00:26:13] I don't know, just kind of like give him

[00:26:15] what he gave her a couple of weeks ago.

[00:26:17] So yeah, I think I do like Amber.

[00:26:18] I think Vinny like he's like,

[00:26:20] hurry up, hurry up, hurry up.

[00:26:22] But then when it's your time to like pay the piper

[00:26:24] it's like, oh wait, can we switch?

[00:26:26] Can we switch on the bike?

[00:26:27] It's like, no man, push through that.

[00:26:29] Let's go. Push through.

[00:26:30] And kudos to Angie for hopping on the bike, right?

[00:26:32] I'm gonna give your Angie some kudos

[00:26:34] because she was not like Danny.

[00:26:36] You have to do the whole thing.

[00:26:37] She hopped right on there.

[00:26:38] So okay, so group three has started the whatever

[00:26:43] Alliance of six is working together who cares.

[00:26:45] And then, oh, I just threw out the order

[00:26:48] they finished in, whoops.

[00:26:49] Whatever they all do their detour

[00:26:51] because there's 18 things that happened on this episode.

[00:26:53] And so when you finish the detour

[00:26:55] you have to drive yourself to this

[00:26:57] Kudo logo race to find the next list racetrack

[00:27:00] this dusty whatever.

[00:27:02] Meanwhile, the team of six is on the bikes.

[00:27:04] They're doing that whatever.

[00:27:05] And Juan and Shane are being chased by an adorable puppy

[00:27:08] that I would adopt and take with me.

[00:27:10] Yeah, we like to talk about the dogs.

[00:27:13] Okay, so you because Ricky and Sacer

[00:27:16] are really good at directions.

[00:27:17] They pass Juan and Shane

[00:27:19] and they end up at the racetrack first.

[00:27:21] This roadblock cracked me up.

[00:27:25] So Todd and Ashley, I went and watched this episode

[00:27:28] with Kishore and Ricky and Sacer

[00:27:31] and Rowan and Lala and Greg.

[00:27:35] There we are.

[00:27:37] We all went and watched together

[00:27:38] and I am laughing so hard.

[00:27:40] And the best part is Ricky is laughing so hard.

[00:27:42] He's having, he has such a good sport

[00:27:44] about the fact that he was like,

[00:27:46] I don't know how I didn't realize

[00:27:48] that this was just a nine piece puzzle.

[00:27:50] He's like, I am sitting in that car being like laughs

[00:27:52] and now we did that.

[00:27:53] And then, and just it's sometimes you get your blinders on

[00:27:57] and you don't realize there was all

[00:27:59] and there was only one solution for this puzzle.

[00:28:01] So, but then to see some of the people

[00:28:03] I'm sure Bryce can talk about Letitia

[00:28:05] whose puzzle just didn't even,

[00:28:07] it was like modern art and made no sense.

[00:28:10] This one I think was such a good task

[00:28:12] and a fun one to watch people try.

[00:28:14] Oh yeah, every episode I throw my pillow at the TV.

[00:28:19] This was the time I did that

[00:28:21] because it's like, why are you making the track

[00:28:23] run into nothing?

[00:28:24] Right.

[00:28:25] Like what are you doing?

[00:28:26] Like it's a puzzle at the end of the day, right?

[00:28:29] To be fair, that would have been me.

[00:28:31] I would have been like,

[00:28:32] I would have been trying to memorize like,

[00:28:34] Right.

[00:28:38] If you're an athlete,

[00:28:39] you know the greatest motivator of all

[00:28:41] is the fear of letting your teammates down.

[00:28:52] That's why there's no vape in team.

[00:28:55] When you vape, you can expose your lungs

[00:28:57] to toxic chemicals that can damage your lungs.

[00:29:00] If you're a step behind, the team's a step behind.

[00:30:09] Yeah, but when you got to the puzzle,

[00:30:11] you would have seen it was a puzzle, right?

[00:30:13] I feel like you would have, she would have seen.

[00:30:15] But see, I struggle with that though,

[00:30:17] because I feel like although I know it is a puzzle,

[00:30:21] I feel like when we got there

[00:30:23] and we're putting the pieces up,

[00:30:25] I would have still been trying to like, I don't know.

[00:30:27] I think I would have had to get in the car

[00:30:29] like four or five times to really kind of figure out

[00:30:33] what is actually going on with it.

[00:30:37] So it was like a little hard for me

[00:30:39] to actually figure out that like,

[00:30:41] it's kind of just a sliding puzzle.

[00:30:42] But I also feel like I would have put the puzzles

[00:30:47] down on the ground and just kind of figured it out

[00:30:51] on the ground because if you think that

[00:30:56] you're gonna put it together up there

[00:30:57] and not put it together down on the ground,

[00:31:00] I feel like what's happening.

[00:31:02] And especially after like riding

[00:31:04] through that course four times.

[00:31:05] But again, I think the thing that pissed me off

[00:31:07] the most this episode was that like,

[00:31:09] really just riding in the car is just riding in the car.

[00:31:13] Right, like I think that I don't think

[00:31:15] that I would have like realized that.

[00:31:16] Like I really feel like, like Ashley said,

[00:31:18] like I feel like I would have been like,

[00:31:20] left, right, oh, we moving to the right.

[00:31:22] We move it to the left, come to the thing.

[00:31:24] Like that would have pissed me off in the end

[00:31:26] when it's like, oh, I could just sit

[00:31:29] in this car and close my eyes.

[00:31:32] I kind of wish that the task had been like,

[00:31:34] they had a whole like, like kind of a maze

[00:31:39] where they had the puzzle up with different things.

[00:31:41] And you had to actually draw in the route that you went.

[00:31:43] Cause then it would have been like,

[00:31:44] we went left, we went this, we did that.

[00:31:46] And that would have been a little bit harder

[00:31:48] but then you actually have to pay attention.

[00:31:49] I think once people realize this is just

[00:31:51] to sort of jumble our brain

[00:31:52] and we don't have to pay attention

[00:31:54] that it became easier for people to get there.

[00:31:58] Here's my question to you, the amazing race expert.

[00:32:00] Do you feel like they purposely mislead you?

[00:32:05] Like, is that a thing?

[00:32:07] Because again, like Phil said,

[00:32:09] you got to memorize this course, right?

[00:32:11] Like, and so anyone, clearly we see all the teams

[00:32:14] like trying to memorize it, but not really the puzzle.

[00:32:18] Okay.

[00:32:19] Cause I think the whole point of a roadblock clue

[00:32:20] is to be really, really cryptic

[00:32:22] because it's really good TV

[00:32:24] when the person who shouldn't have chosen it

[00:32:26] and has a hard time doing it

[00:32:27] is the person who does it.

[00:32:28] Which story, charisma or brook

[00:32:31] because when the roadblock clue just says

[00:32:33] who likes heavy metal and one of you is musical

[00:32:36] and the other is not, you just ignore the fact

[00:32:38] that you're in a metal workshop

[00:32:39] and you're going, I shouldn't be me, it shouldn't be me.

[00:32:42] And then you're talked into doing it.

[00:32:43] They don't give you the details until after.

[00:32:46] And so I don't know if it,

[00:32:48] they did have to memorize it

[00:32:50] because they had to put the puzzle together

[00:32:51] but they didn't really have to memorize it

[00:32:52] cause the puzzle works one way.

[00:32:53] Right, cause you're just putting the puzzle together.

[00:32:54] So like which ones fit?

[00:32:56] So, but yeah, that was just a little,

[00:33:00] I was thinking again, watching again,

[00:33:02] my poor Angie having to get in that car all them times.

[00:33:05] Like, I'm thinking like this has to be so hard

[00:33:07] to memorize what's going on.

[00:33:09] And then realizing that it's really just a puzzle

[00:33:11] and you just kind of make it fit.

[00:33:13] Although I still would have struggled

[00:33:15] because I think, I want to say maybe like

[00:33:18] five seasons of Survivor, I downloaded

[00:33:21] cause Wendell was like,

[00:33:22] when I was preparing for his season,

[00:33:23] he downloaded like slide puzzles.

[00:33:25] So whenever I am flying anywhere,

[00:33:28] I always like upload my slide puzzles

[00:33:32] and I like try to.

[00:33:35] I have an app, I love slide puzzles.

[00:33:36] Yeah.

[00:33:37] But I can, I'm like, I feel like I excel at the medium one.

[00:33:42] The hard one I-

[00:33:43] They're not gonna give you a hard one.

[00:33:45] They're gonna give you medium at best

[00:33:47] and probably easy question unrelated.

[00:33:50] You want to pause it or do you wanna?

[00:33:54] So do you think Ashley or Todd,

[00:33:56] like how long do you think it would have taken you

[00:33:58] to realize that you don't really need to

[00:34:02] remember the course and that it's just a slide puzzle

[00:34:04] cause I'm still confused about the slide puzzle

[00:34:07] and actually putting the course together.

[00:34:09] If I would still be there if I did it,

[00:34:12] I would still be there trying to memorize the turns.

[00:34:15] Todd probably would have figured it out like immediately.

[00:34:18] I was yelling at the TV and going,

[00:34:20] I could do this without running the,

[00:34:23] like doing the track.

[00:34:24] Yeah.

[00:34:25] Because it's just a nine piece puzzle

[00:34:27] because you didn't need to ride the track.

[00:34:28] Todd, I honestly agree 100%.

[00:34:31] Four times.

[00:34:32] You have the starting line on the right

[00:34:35] or on the bottom, on the left or the top.

[00:34:38] Either way it's a circle track essentially.

[00:34:41] Right?

[00:34:42] And then-

[00:34:42] But Todd, what I'm trying to figure out though

[00:34:46] is where was this energy

[00:34:48] when you had to get the barnacles and the anchor?

[00:34:52] Like I'm just trying to figure out

[00:34:53] where was this energy at back then because-

[00:34:58] You know that's the same thing I was saying earlier.

[00:35:01] It's so much easier to be like,

[00:35:03] hey I'll do this.

[00:35:04] But it's like, I don't know.

[00:35:06] I feel like puzzles would have been my thing.

[00:35:08] Finding a chain in the middle of an ocean,

[00:35:11] like I don't know maybe-

[00:35:12] Some say that's a puzzle too.

[00:35:14] Yeah.

[00:35:15] It's not.

[00:35:16] It really is not.

[00:35:17] You know what?

[00:35:18] You could chalk it up to race brain I guess.

[00:35:20] But the problem is,

[00:35:21] is like it was more than one team.

[00:35:23] It was like 90% of them.

[00:35:26] And so you're like,

[00:35:27] man there must've been something going on there.

[00:35:29] Well, the race does a really good job

[00:35:31] of making you think that a part of that activity

[00:35:36] is pivotal for you to complete

[00:35:39] when you're like, that's just a distraction.

[00:35:41] Like the biggest part of this

[00:35:44] is really just a nine piece puzzle.

[00:35:46] But there's gotta be something to do with this car ride.

[00:35:50] Like, you know, so it's hard to separate those

[00:35:52] because you know-

[00:35:53] I will say Bryce,

[00:35:54] I wouldn't have the track going into nothing.

[00:35:57] All right?

[00:35:58] It's just like going into nothing.

[00:36:00] And you're like-

[00:36:01] Letitia was on a helicopter tie.

[00:36:03] So that's why her track looked a little different.

[00:36:05] They were flying to the pieces.

[00:36:08] But I was looking at that like,

[00:36:10] Letitia, did you roll something up

[00:36:13] before you got in that car?

[00:36:16] I loved her.

[00:36:17] That's so funny to me.

[00:36:18] Okay, so Juan and Shane are out of there in 30 seconds

[00:36:21] because Juan is just, his brain has been turned on today.

[00:36:25] He is amazing.

[00:36:26] You have Shane being like, he's not gonna get it.

[00:36:28] He's not that smart.

[00:36:29] Then he gets it and Shane's like,

[00:36:30] that's not gonna look good on TV.

[00:36:31] I made fun of him.

[00:36:33] Which is so funny.

[00:36:34] And at the same time,

[00:36:35] Derek and Shalisa are back at the Bolo's

[00:36:38] and Shalisa gets it

[00:36:40] and Derek is having so much trouble

[00:36:42] and I started screaming at my TV stream

[00:36:44] because she's like, we need to switch.

[00:36:46] And I'm like, he still has two more tries.

[00:36:47] What are you doing?

[00:36:49] And she's like, we need to go.

[00:36:50] And he's like, but I can do it.

[00:36:51] And she's like, we need to go.

[00:36:53] And he's like, okay.

[00:36:54] And they switch.

[00:36:56] And I feel like they would still be in it

[00:36:58] if they didn't switch.

[00:37:00] I'm with you.

[00:37:00] Or if you switch, use your 10 throws.

[00:37:03] He had two more throws left.

[00:37:04] What if he got it on that throw

[00:37:06] but you didn't give him the opportunity, right?

[00:37:09] Yeah, there's two throws left on the board.

[00:37:11] That takes you what, like 10 seconds?

[00:37:13] Like just go for it.

[00:37:17] I think, do you remember the twins from this season?

[00:37:20] They were all like,

[00:37:21] I really think this would have been their challenge.

[00:37:23] No, he says that about everything.

[00:37:26] Okay, so again, I'm sorry, Mr. Borel.

[00:37:30] I would like you to please explain for the group.

[00:37:32] If you wouldn't mind.

[00:37:34] I'm genuinely asking,

[00:37:35] what about the twins made you believe

[00:37:39] that this or anything would have been their challenge?

[00:37:46] I love the twins.

[00:37:47] They were so fun to watch,

[00:37:49] but I guess, is it because something has to be

[00:37:52] their thing and maybe it's this or?

[00:37:54] I just feel like they're very detail oriented.

[00:37:57] What?

[00:37:58] He's messing with me.

[00:37:59] He's messing with us.

[00:38:00] The brothers?

[00:38:01] Yes, the brothers, yeah.

[00:38:03] I feel like they're adventurous

[00:38:06] and I just feel like their twin, is it telepathy?

[00:38:10] I feel like it would have, they could have got it.

[00:38:12] I just feel like this could have been theirs.

[00:38:14] If they were still in a race,

[00:38:15] I feel like this would have been their race.

[00:38:17] I feel like they would have switched six times.

[00:38:20] I mean, I don't know.

[00:38:25] I with Brooke, I don't know if I get that.

[00:38:28] I don't know if I see that connection.

[00:38:29] I think he's just trying to mess with me.

[00:38:31] I think he does this every week.

[00:38:33] I will say I'm super impressed with Cesar and-

[00:38:37] Yeah.

[00:38:38] Ricky.

[00:38:39] Ricky for just sticking with it, man.

[00:38:41] That was pretty impressive.

[00:38:43] Cause I would have been out after a few times,

[00:38:47] but they stuck with it.

[00:38:48] No, but here's the thing though.

[00:38:49] I think they're also very smart in the fact

[00:38:51] that they realized, hey, there's,

[00:38:53] that I didn't necessarily like about,

[00:38:55] was it the second group?

[00:38:57] That they, you don't factor in the time

[00:38:59] it is to travel between detours.

[00:39:01] So it's like, hey, let's switch.

[00:39:04] But let's say it takes you,

[00:39:06] I don't know how far the next one was,

[00:39:07] but like it's 15, 20 minutes.

[00:39:09] If you would have just stayed at that one

[00:39:11] for another 15, 20 minutes,

[00:39:13] I guarantee you, you would eventually get it, right?

[00:39:16] Within that window.

[00:39:17] So I-

[00:39:17] I don't think Angie would have got it.

[00:39:19] Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, you know what?

[00:39:22] Todd, thank you for coming.

[00:39:24] Because we're not-

[00:39:25] Oh my God!

[00:39:26] You know what?

[00:39:27] Okay, what we not doing, Todd, Anthony, Martin.

[00:39:37] Do not hang up on them.

[00:39:38] Don't, that's not, oh my God.

[00:39:41] It's like, it's not a democracy.

[00:39:42] It's a dictatorship around here.

[00:39:44] You say something against the ruler

[00:39:46] and you are out.

[00:39:47] Oh, that's-

[00:39:48] I do believe Angie-

[00:39:49] I do believe Angie would have struggled on this one.

[00:39:51] So again, but Angie knew where to go.

[00:39:56] Smart, smart, right?

[00:39:58] Like Rod needs to take control a little bit

[00:40:00] and be like, hey, wait, there's a bike?

[00:40:02] There's a physical challenge?

[00:40:03] They need to go into the challenges like we did.

[00:40:06] Like, hey, if it's detail oriented or skill oriented

[00:40:08] versus like grinded out physicality,

[00:40:11] they need to go physicality every time.

[00:40:13] Do you think they would have placed higher

[00:40:15] if they didn't stick with the group?

[00:40:17] Who, Rod and Letitia?

[00:40:19] I think they would have been lower

[00:40:20] because they struggled.

[00:40:21] Well, I don't know.

[00:40:22] Cause they, Rod can figure out the map.

[00:40:24] I know Letitia has said that it's just not her thing

[00:40:27] and they need to take more time.

[00:40:28] So I don't know.

[00:40:29] I think they still would have been in the third group.

[00:40:32] Okay, yeah.

[00:40:34] I don't know man, they finished the bicycle fast

[00:40:36] and if they weren't waiting around for people,

[00:40:39] he finished the soccer thing fast,

[00:40:41] the bicycle thing fast-

[00:40:42] But you saw Juan and Shane.

[00:40:43] They got lost on that dirt road getting to the next one.

[00:40:47] I think Rod and Letitia would have struggled there.

[00:40:50] Yeah.

[00:40:51] I love them, I don't know.

[00:40:52] I feel like-

[00:40:53] I have some notes with them.

[00:40:54] I feel like, but yeah, other than the,

[00:40:56] like the navigation part,

[00:40:58] as far as choosing like what detour to do,

[00:41:00] like Rod needs to be like,

[00:41:02] no, let's go physicality every time.

[00:41:04] Cause they would have smoked everyone in that.

[00:41:07] What is the one where you have to,

[00:41:09] the detour is the one that everyone does together, right?

[00:41:12] And then the roadblocks.

[00:41:13] It's kind of a lot of-

[00:41:14] So how did you guys navigate when,

[00:41:17] say you know this roadblock,

[00:41:18] oh, this is a Todd heavy roadblock,

[00:41:20] but you know that Todd has to do a certain number

[00:41:23] of the roadblocks.

[00:41:24] How do you navigate that?

[00:41:25] What was your mindset?

[00:41:27] Well, we were going,

[00:41:30] we were gonna go like-

[00:41:31] Every other.

[00:41:32] Every other, take turns.

[00:41:33] But every once in a while,

[00:41:35] when it like had to do with heights,

[00:41:36] I would have taken it.

[00:41:38] That had to do with eating,

[00:41:39] I would have taken it.

[00:41:41] I think it was just one of those things,

[00:41:43] because you don't get a lot of details

[00:41:45] when you open it, right?

[00:41:48] I think it's like a quick little like snippet

[00:41:50] and you have to make a decision.

[00:41:52] So we really did base the decision

[00:41:54] only on that few sentences.

[00:41:57] And I think it really kind of just worked out.

[00:41:59] Worked out for us, yeah.

[00:42:01] That's the way it played out.

[00:42:03] I mean, the green thumb one,

[00:42:04] which Todd's like,

[00:42:05] oh, you'd be fantastic.

[00:42:07] Cause you like plants.

[00:42:08] And I nearly died in that freaking pond.

[00:42:11] But I think it just, the way it worked out,

[00:42:13] it worked out for us on our season.

[00:42:15] I would say choosing the roadblock is a lot harder

[00:42:18] cause they give you a short little thing

[00:42:20] you have to choose.

[00:42:21] But the detour one with like the bike

[00:42:23] or the Bondolero thing,

[00:42:25] like they give you a lot of information on that.

[00:42:28] And so that wasn't,

[00:42:30] I think that was inexcusable.

[00:42:31] Rod should have been like,

[00:42:32] oh, riding a bike?

[00:42:33] Like I'm gonna kill everybody.

[00:42:36] I do say, cause sometimes we give like little snippets

[00:42:39] on for future racers, something to think about.

[00:42:41] We were very bad at choosing the roadblocks

[00:42:44] because there were,

[00:42:47] we argued a lot.

[00:42:48] Even though this one shouldn't.

[00:42:49] So bad you got first place, right?

[00:42:52] Just checking, all right.

[00:42:54] We got better as the race went on.

[00:42:56] But for example, in leg two,

[00:42:59] it was something who likes things squeaky clean.

[00:43:01] Now I'm obsessed with compulsive

[00:43:02] and I clean everything.

[00:43:03] And it should have been me also

[00:43:05] had we looked up,

[00:43:06] you had to like come over the edge of a skyscraper.

[00:43:09] Scott was terrified of heights,

[00:43:11] but I had hurt my arm and I was like,

[00:43:12] I can't do whatever it is.

[00:43:13] But had we looked up,

[00:43:14] I probably still would have done it.

[00:43:17] If you're on the race,

[00:43:18] take 10 seconds and maybe look around

[00:43:20] because race blinders are like a legitimately real thing.

[00:43:24] And if you don't look around,

[00:43:26] you will make a wrong decision

[00:43:27] and your partner will cuss you out

[00:43:28] as he is going down the side of a building

[00:43:30] and wishing you dead on national television.

[00:43:33] That's probably the best advice.

[00:43:34] I mean, you nailed it on the head

[00:43:36] is take everything in like because you get so glued but-

[00:43:41] But how many times do you hear that?

[00:43:43] And then once you're on the race,

[00:43:44] it doesn't happen, right?

[00:43:45] So it's like-

[00:43:46] Yes, I know,

[00:43:47] but I feel like if I give the advice,

[00:43:48] then at least I can say,

[00:43:49] I told you so when I'm talking about it.

[00:43:51] We heard you guys,

[00:43:52] we heard everyone and we got into it

[00:43:55] and it was just like,

[00:43:55] so it was like there's nothing you could do,

[00:43:58] but you kind of just got to-

[00:44:01] Take a beat.

[00:44:03] It's hard though.

[00:44:04] It's funny, it's hard to take a beat.

[00:44:05] So, okay.

[00:44:06] So, Sonia, baby, go to-

[00:44:08] I do have one more question.

[00:44:09] Look, I do got a question now.

[00:44:10] I've asked Brooke this question a million times,

[00:44:12] but I want to ask Tana Ashley.

[00:44:13] On the Mesa race,

[00:44:14] when you get to Roblox and you get to D Tours,

[00:44:16] as a viewer,

[00:44:17] someone myself who has never played,

[00:44:19] but I know that if I did play,

[00:44:20] I could beat Todd in practically everything.

[00:44:23] Not Ashley, but Todd.

[00:44:24] You know, just saying.

[00:44:27] When we see the teams that like are struggling

[00:44:30] and struggling and struggling

[00:44:31] and then towards the end,

[00:44:33] I feel like the judges be like,

[00:44:34] all right, go ahead.

[00:44:36] They do.

[00:44:37] What's your assessment?

[00:44:38] They do.

[00:44:39] I believe so.

[00:44:40] That's why-

[00:44:41] Wait, what?

[00:44:42] What was the question?

[00:44:43] Okay, all right, Todd Anthony is back in.

[00:44:45] Wait, ask it again.

[00:44:46] What was your question?

[00:44:46] My question is, I feel like the judges,

[00:44:48] you know how to judge.

[00:44:49] No.

[00:44:50] Yeah, oh my best judge ever.

[00:44:51] No.

[00:44:51] Like I feel like in the beginning,

[00:44:53] they'd be very, very, very, very strict.

[00:44:56] But it's a couple of times last season

[00:44:59] and I ain't saying no name,

[00:45:00] but Todd should have had to do a couple of things

[00:45:03] over again because I was feeling like-

[00:45:05] You're still saying nice things.

[00:45:06] No, but I just feel like some teams though,

[00:45:11] I'd be like, now wait a minute.

[00:45:13] They supposed to be doing the salsa

[00:45:15] and they are twerking and doing the butterfly.

[00:45:17] Like how do they say yes to that?

[00:45:20] I will have to,

[00:45:21] and I will say I agree with you, Bryce.

[00:45:23] I'm gonna say yes.

[00:45:24] And not just from being on the race,

[00:45:26] but like watching past seasons.

[00:45:29] I think there was a season with, oh gosh,

[00:45:32] Bopper and Mark.

[00:45:36] They were in India and they had to do a dance.

[00:45:39] And I think Mark did it like a hundred times.

[00:45:43] And he was just like, I'm out.

[00:45:45] You know, I do think that there is a threshold

[00:45:48] where they're like, he's either gonna die

[00:45:50] or we just pass them, you know?

[00:45:51] So that's just observing as you know-

[00:45:55] Yeah, I mean how do you explain Cory

[00:45:57] in our season getting through the pop?

[00:45:59] The hat thing.

[00:46:00] Yeah.

[00:46:01] But I mean-

[00:46:01] I think at some point the producers start

[00:46:04] to feel badly for you

[00:46:05] and they have to let you go at some point.

[00:46:07] At some point it becomes about trying,

[00:46:09] not necessarily, I mean,

[00:46:10] you saw Joel do the flippity river dance.

[00:46:14] Like he wasn't good at it,

[00:46:15] but he tried and tried and tried and tried.

[00:46:18] And I think they're like, okay,

[00:46:19] that's the best you're gonna get from him.

[00:46:21] And from him that's a pass.

[00:46:23] And so I agree.

[00:46:24] I have a theory of five.

[00:46:26] Try it five times and you're probably through.

[00:46:28] The one thing I will say about Ashley

[00:46:30] is I wish you asked for checks earlier

[00:46:32] because I feel like Ashley tried to make things perfect

[00:46:36] and it does,

[00:46:36] I think this is Derek's line from this season,

[00:46:38] Cs get degrees.

[00:46:39] It doesn't need to be perfect,

[00:46:41] it needs to be passable.

[00:46:42] And I loved you guys so much that when I was like,

[00:46:44] why is she not,

[00:46:45] like you're not gonna get it on your first check.

[00:46:47] Sometimes they just won't give it to you on check one,

[00:46:49] which is why some teams prefer to only do tasks

[00:46:53] where it's not subjective.

[00:46:55] Like if you filled something up to a line,

[00:46:57] they have to let you go.

[00:46:58] They can't say no.

[00:46:59] But if it's like a dance thing and it could be like,

[00:47:01] you know more energy or this or that or whatever,

[00:47:04] sometimes they just don't give it to you on try one.

[00:47:06] So ask for checks now.

[00:47:07] If you're the first person up in the first run,

[00:47:11] it could be a 9.9 out of 10

[00:47:13] and they're gonna say no.

[00:47:14] But if you're like the last place,

[00:47:15] it could be a 5.9.

[00:47:17] And they're gonna be like, keep it moving.

[00:47:19] Yeah, I will say in Venice, Italy,

[00:47:21] when we had to sing in a gondola,

[00:47:23] we got it on our first try

[00:47:24] even though we were the first one.

[00:47:25] Hey, hey, hey, hey.

[00:47:27] Although-

[00:47:27] You're a musical major with a degree.

[00:47:30] I sang opera in college in Italian.

[00:47:33] That was the one that was made for me.

[00:47:34] However, my partner also had to sing

[00:47:36] and you had to wait till you got to a port.

[00:47:38] So even though we got it on try one,

[00:47:40] they made us sing it a second time

[00:47:41] for shits and for fun and giggles

[00:47:43] because we weren't at a stopping point yet.

[00:47:46] Okay, now since we're getting into like this rabbit hole,

[00:47:50] I gotta ask you another question.

[00:47:52] I've asked Brooke this and now I need to know

[00:47:53] because I'm interested in Todd's take specifically.

[00:47:56] But I know, I feel like Ash is gonna be with me.

[00:47:58] So when you have to get to the boats

[00:48:00] and they be like, the boat you choose

[00:48:02] is the boat you have to stay in.

[00:48:05] If you pick a boat and that sucker stops working,

[00:48:11] let me calm down.

[00:48:12] What do y'all feel?

[00:48:13] Do you feel like you're just stuck in the boat?

[00:48:15] Don't you feel like the Amazing Race

[00:48:17] should have people testing the boats like,

[00:48:20] brrrr, before everybody goes?

[00:48:23] Or is that luck of the dog?

[00:48:24] Thankfully nothing like that happened to us.

[00:48:27] But well, kind of our rickshaws in India,

[00:48:30] the drivers were terrible, right?

[00:48:32] But y'all picked the wrong one

[00:48:33] because you picked the wrong one.

[00:48:34] Right, right and you're like, wait,

[00:48:37] so your mind starts playing tricks on you.

[00:48:38] Like, is this the producers messing with us?

[00:48:41] Like, you don't know if it's part of the show.

[00:48:43] Like you almost, and I hate to say it,

[00:48:46] you get like very like paranoid and suspicious.

[00:48:49] Like, hey, they're setting me up here.

[00:48:51] Like, you know, so yeah,

[00:48:52] definitely you feel that way for sure.

[00:48:54] Well we saw Angie and Danny,

[00:48:56] like I think it was second episode on the boat.

[00:48:59] Yeah, Danny handled it well too.

[00:49:01] They handled, I would have gotten out of the water

[00:49:04] and like grab a hold

[00:49:05] and like one arm swimmed that boat

[00:49:07] just because it sucks that,

[00:49:09] but that goes to the whole like cab driver two things.

[00:49:13] So right, like there's a lot of stuff in the race

[00:49:16] that you just can't control.

[00:49:18] So I do think that it's very similar

[00:49:20] to like getting a bad taxi driver, right?

[00:49:22] So it's like, you can't control it.

[00:49:24] That is just the luck of the draw.

[00:49:26] And that is why the race is so fantastic and so fun

[00:49:31] is because, you know.

[00:49:33] Yeah, but that's definitely something

[00:49:35] that we still think about

[00:49:36] and you know, we talk about and we're like, hey.

[00:49:39] On a weekly basis.

[00:49:40] Yeah, for sure.

[00:49:41] Okay, so my last one,

[00:49:45] cause I just feel like this is so fun.

[00:49:46] First of all, your background of your home looks amazing.

[00:49:49] I know that you said that you recently moved.

[00:49:51] I'm not sure if you moved before or after

[00:49:52] but let's pretend you didn't.

[00:49:55] Did moving your mattress, moving in hit different

[00:49:58] before or after the race?

[00:50:00] I think, like I said, we've moved so many times

[00:50:04] that I felt that was the challenge

[00:50:05] that was made for us, I think personally.

[00:50:08] I will say when we move again,

[00:50:10] I will probably be a little less myself

[00:50:14] and a little more gracious.

[00:50:16] I will say like the show didn't give her props

[00:50:18] for moving that mattress because she-

[00:50:20] Cause she hurt her thumb, right?

[00:50:22] Yeah, she hurt her thumb

[00:50:23] but she's the only woman that did it out of the whole cast.

[00:50:26] I kind of feel like Todd,

[00:50:27] I feel like that week I was like,

[00:50:28] I don't think you gave him props

[00:50:29] because I remember being like,

[00:50:31] I think my finger fell off and you're like,

[00:50:33] it's fine, you've got nine more.

[00:50:35] And Todd was like, come on move that mattress, let's go.

[00:50:38] And I'm like, come on bro.

[00:50:39] Ashley was a drooper.

[00:50:40] What is that?

[00:50:41] Don't leave me hanging, speak on that.

[00:50:43] No, cause we was like, what is Todd doing?

[00:50:45] He's got nine fingers now, look at her.

[00:50:47] I mean-

[00:50:48] What a jerk, did Ashley do that

[00:50:49] when he missed the three throw on the basketball court?

[00:50:53] No, so I will say the reason why Todd said that

[00:50:56] is because he knows me and he knows that like,

[00:50:59] if he were to coddle me in that moment,

[00:51:02] like that wouldn't help the situation.

[00:51:04] Like there was no benefit in stopping

[00:51:07] and taking a look at my finger

[00:51:09] because it's like at that point he like,

[00:51:11] and you did look at it and you were like,

[00:51:13] yeah, no, you jammed it.

[00:51:16] So I do think that like Todd,

[00:51:18] I don't think that would have been a benefit for us.

[00:51:21] Okay, there's two pet peeves.

[00:51:22] I was mostly joking.

[00:51:23] I really don't think you were hurting her

[00:51:24] because honestly I'm the same way.

[00:51:27] I like to say I can't do things and scream

[00:51:29] and be like, no, and then people are like,

[00:51:31] what's wrong?

[00:51:32] Should we stop?

[00:51:32] And I'm like, we can't stop, nobody stops it.

[00:51:33] Cause if you stop, it's actually harder to start again.

[00:51:36] So never stop.

[00:51:37] And that feeds into our, one of our pet peeves

[00:51:40] is like when people go, oh, are you okay?

[00:51:42] In the middle of a competition.

[00:51:44] And then our other one is like, let's go, babe.

[00:51:47] I love you.

[00:51:49] I love you.

[00:51:50] I'm like, what does that have to do

[00:51:51] with anything right now?

[00:51:52] I'm trying to win.

[00:51:53] Stop yelling, I love you.

[00:51:55] And I'm proud of you right now.

[00:51:56] Like, I don't care if you're proud of me.

[00:51:58] Like I've got to get through this.

[00:51:59] I'm focused.

[00:52:00] Yeah, let's go.

[00:52:02] But Ashley, did I hear you say Dr. Todd

[00:52:05] looked at your thumb on the race

[00:52:07] and said that it was good?

[00:52:09] That's shade, she's throwing shade.

[00:52:10] No, no, I remember.

[00:52:11] Well, okay.

[00:52:12] Because the thing is, is Todd has jammed.

[00:52:15] He hasn't, I don't know if you've really broken that.

[00:52:17] My fingers are all crooked or anything.

[00:52:18] He's jammed his fingers so many times.

[00:52:21] He's a basketball player.

[00:52:22] And so I remember when it happened,

[00:52:26] I told Todd, I was like, oh my gosh,

[00:52:27] I feel like I broke my finger.

[00:52:28] He's like, and while we're carrying this mattress,

[00:52:31] he's like, you might've jammed it.

[00:52:33] And so then I go into like a hypochondriac mode

[00:52:38] where I'm like, this is it.

[00:52:39] Like they're gonna kick us off the race

[00:52:40] because I have a medical injury.

[00:52:43] And so like my mind starts to go

[00:52:44] in like a very like downward spiral.

[00:52:47] And he knows that about me.

[00:52:48] So if he can just keep things that like, you're fine.

[00:52:52] It's nothing that happens all the time.

[00:52:54] You're golden.

[00:52:55] I know it hurts, but just like, you know.

[00:52:57] You know what I looked at?

[00:52:58] I was like, oh my God.

[00:52:59] That thing might fall off.

[00:53:02] Oh my gosh, she's gonna lose a finger.

[00:53:04] But I still love you, babe.

[00:53:05] You're doing great.

[00:53:05] I'm so proud of you.

[00:53:06] Okay.

[00:53:07] I threw up.

[00:53:08] Bryce, I don't think I needed my notes this week.

[00:53:11] I feel like I didn't need them.

[00:53:12] This is not mine.

[00:53:12] Why did I take the notes?

[00:53:14] I've got a random question for you, Ty.

[00:53:16] I don't know if you up on it or not

[00:53:18] but I just wanna know who you got.

[00:53:19] Kendrick or Drake or Cole?

[00:53:22] Honestly, dude.

[00:53:23] Well, I love Cole.

[00:53:24] Just cause-

[00:53:25] But he took, I mean, how do you feel

[00:53:27] about that apology?

[00:53:28] Yeah, he bowed out.

[00:53:29] You know, he showed his skill and bowed out.

[00:53:33] I'm going with Drake.

[00:53:34] Okay.

[00:53:35] And I know he's live on the West coast.

[00:53:36] I know I'm a West, you know

[00:53:38] but I'm going with Drake on this one.

[00:53:40] I am too.

[00:53:42] I'm interested in to see the response.

[00:53:44] We're still waiting on it.

[00:53:45] So did you hear the alleged second response

[00:53:47] that they said is like AI from Kendrick?

[00:53:50] So yeah, I definitely think Kendrick's verse was fire

[00:53:54] but I'm going with Drizzy Drake.

[00:53:55] And it's like, how can you not root for Drake

[00:53:58] when you got 12 people coming against you?

[00:54:01] Right, right.

[00:54:02] He kind of like, yeah,

[00:54:03] everyone's coming against him right now.

[00:54:04] I feel, you know, kind of bad for the guy

[00:54:05] but I don't really, cause he's a millionaire and he's-

[00:54:08] Right.

[00:54:08] You know, so-

[00:54:09] Brooke, I'm like, are these, are these racing?

[00:54:13] They are.

[00:54:14] This was a puzzle.

[00:54:15] You didn't see Phil spitting them Kendrick lines

[00:54:18] at the end of the episode, Ashley.

[00:54:21] I'm like, oh, okay.

[00:54:22] Yeah, I'm like, I'm lost.

[00:54:23] I'm like, wait, who?

[00:54:24] My notes don't show a Kendrick.

[00:54:25] Rap battles.

[00:54:26] There's nothing in here about any of that

[00:54:28] but that's fine.

[00:54:29] It's the big three

[00:54:30] but it's not really the big three when you the big one.

[00:54:33] My question is, Danny, so we back to Danny and Angie.

[00:54:38] We're getting to the meet part of this.

[00:54:40] What?

[00:54:41] Okay.

[00:54:43] I'm sending Brooke into a tizzy.

[00:54:45] Okay, no it's not.

[00:54:45] I wanna know what was your thoughts on his move?

[00:54:47] Did you think it was legendary?

[00:54:49] Did you think it was amazing or did you not like it?

[00:54:52] Are we talking about when he iced out

[00:54:54] the two, the other team?

[00:54:56] Steve.

[00:54:57] Legendary.

[00:54:58] I thought that was a brilliant move.

[00:54:59] I would have done the same thing.

[00:55:01] I would have been like, hey, let's take as long as,

[00:55:03] we got all the time in the world

[00:55:04] cause no one else is coming in.

[00:55:05] So let's get this like perfect, right?

[00:55:08] Like I thought that was genius.

[00:55:10] And I know he was so cute

[00:55:11] cause he was like, that wasn't the nicest move.

[00:55:13] Like I will say, I do appreciate Angie and Danny

[00:55:17] because every decision they make is like

[00:55:20] is it nice or not?

[00:55:21] Which I like them.

[00:55:23] I'd like that.

[00:55:24] Uh-oh.

[00:55:26] You know what?

[00:55:27] I'll say it cause that Bryce is not gonna disconnect me

[00:55:29] is Angie, this don't, don't kick me.

[00:55:33] Come on.

[00:55:34] I'm not kicking my hips.

[00:55:40] The thing is Danny is all that wasn't,

[00:55:44] I think Danny really, and I think Angie realizes

[00:55:47] that she wasn't being nice.

[00:55:48] But I thought one of the things that I think

[00:55:50] about what Angie did is when you've on

[00:55:52] and Melissa were like, can you just tell us

[00:55:54] like you guys are done?

[00:55:55] We get it.

[00:55:56] Can you just Angie?

[00:55:56] And she's like, I didn't do it.

[00:55:58] I don't know.

[00:55:59] And I'm like, that's just a lot.

[00:56:00] You do know at least just be like, look

[00:56:03] I'm really sorry, good luck and walk away.

[00:56:05] Like at least own it.

[00:56:06] I feel like don't put it on Danny

[00:56:07] because then they're gonna ask Danny

[00:56:09] and don't get mad when they ask Danny

[00:56:11] because what else are they gonna do?

[00:56:13] But I agree with you Brooke is kind of like our season

[00:56:16] with Chelsea and Robin.

[00:56:18] It's like, you're not gonna tell us

[00:56:20] if you're gonna help us just like own up to it.

[00:56:22] Hey, sorry, this is the game move on

[00:56:24] but like totally ignoring it or like passing the buck.

[00:56:27] You're like, come on.

[00:56:29] That makes it worse.

[00:56:30] And like Danny is such a nice guy.

[00:56:32] He's so nice and then he does this and you're like, bro.

[00:56:36] You got it in you.

[00:56:37] He got it in though.

[00:56:38] Steve that's why I think he is playing to win.

[00:56:40] He's playing to be there and he's a super fan

[00:56:42] and I get it.

[00:56:43] He wants to just stay as long as possible

[00:56:44] but when he has the opportunity to like do something

[00:56:47] that will actually help him get ahead

[00:56:49] I think he's playing to win.

[00:56:51] I do think-

[00:56:52] There's a smile on his face.

[00:56:54] These are kind of a killer.

[00:56:56] You know, like that's kind of jacked up.

[00:56:58] Here's my question though.

[00:57:00] Let's just hypothetically say

[00:57:02] we fast forward a little bit in the race.

[00:57:04] Same alliances are in play.

[00:57:07] Do you think that he's gonna be just as nice

[00:57:10] if like it depends on like who,

[00:57:12] like if they're running to not be last.

[00:57:15] Like do you think that this niceness is going

[00:57:18] to carry on even if they're running for to survive?

[00:57:23] Do you wanna say-

[00:57:24] I don't think, I think if you're second to last

[00:57:26] I think the understanding amongst any alliance

[00:57:27] is you're not gonna wait.

[00:57:29] With the exception of one stupid season

[00:57:30] where they actually, a team did wait for Alaska.

[00:57:33] It was really stupid.

[00:57:34] But-

[00:57:35] I agree with you.

[00:57:36] But then we saw Vinny and Amber.

[00:57:39] Amber.

[00:57:40] They refused to leave the roadblocks until every,

[00:57:45] I would have been like, I love you.

[00:57:47] I'm out of here.

[00:57:48] Like I would not have waited.

[00:57:51] In their defense they might be like it's too early to-

[00:57:53] Yeah, I think so too.

[00:57:55] I think they think it's,

[00:57:56] they made a deal for the mega leg.

[00:57:57] They knew there were teams behind them.

[00:57:59] They didn't wanna do something knowing this

[00:58:02] at this point it's the race course.

[00:58:04] So there's so much left of the leg that like

[00:58:05] you screw over your lines that early in the leg.

[00:58:09] Now knowing what Danny is capable of

[00:58:11] like good thing you didn't

[00:58:12] because he might've just told Rod and Leticia

[00:58:14] and Yvonne and Melissa to take the three stations

[00:58:16] if Vinny and Amber left them high

[00:58:19] and dry at the race course.

[00:58:20] And so I get Amber's dedication at this point

[00:58:25] but I do hope that it's not something

[00:58:28] that hinders them in the long run.

[00:58:30] I feel like Vinny and Amber haven't had the best at it

[00:58:33] as like a couple thus far.

[00:58:35] And I love the fact that when that did happen

[00:58:37] we didn't see Vinny kind of fight her about it.

[00:58:40] Like, I feel like for me, sometimes I'm a loyal person

[00:58:43] and sometimes I am loyal to like at my fault.

[00:58:46] So it's like, I do appreciate seeing that in her.

[00:58:50] So sometimes it's like, I'll take a loyal person

[00:58:53] over a lot of other things.

[00:58:54] So I do have a lot of respect for Amber for that.

[00:58:56] And especially since she was, you know

[00:58:58] looking out for my girl, but I also felt like

[00:59:01] reason 8,632 why I'm team Angie

[00:59:05] because mama Angie, she a G like she like

[00:59:07] I don't need you to stay with me like go

[00:59:10] like Angie was telling her to go.

[00:59:12] No, sorry wrong boo disagree.

[00:59:15] Angie was telling her to go.

[00:59:16] No, Angie was telling her to go

[00:59:19] so long as she first helped her with her puzzle.

[00:59:21] This was not don't help me go.

[00:59:23] I didn't say Angie was, Angie not a slow G

[00:59:26] a G gets the help and they tell you to go.

[00:59:29] That's what makes her a real G.

[00:59:31] I think if Amber left without helping Angie

[00:59:34] and Letitia knowing that they had this alliance

[00:59:37] this leg, Angie would have slit her.

[00:59:40] She has cold as ice cold.

[00:59:41] And I love it when it slitters throat.

[00:59:43] She said, no, no, no, don't wait for us.

[00:59:45] You go, but she was not saying don't help me.

[00:59:50] She was like, oh yeah, girl, great.

[00:59:50] Like show me the order and then go.

[00:59:52] I don't, this was not as selfless

[00:59:54] as I think we think it is.

[00:59:56] It's all I'm saying.

[00:59:58] I agree.

[00:59:58] I'm just saying.

[00:59:59] It's definitely, this was a great episode.

[01:00:02] Yeah, I think it was great.

[01:00:04] I mean, I don't see the point in having taken notes

[01:00:07] which is totally fine.

[01:00:08] I don't care.

[01:00:11] It was a great episode except when it had to do

[01:00:13] with like Derek and Shalisa because I love them.

[01:00:18] I thought that they were great.

[01:00:19] And I just love the fact, again, just how you said before

[01:00:22] I love the fact that they bicker, they argue

[01:00:24] but I also love that Derek knew

[01:00:26] that Shalisa was the leader, right?

[01:00:29] And it's like they would learn stuff

[01:00:30] and he's asking Shalisa to teach them.

[01:00:32] And she like, oh, I'm gonna teach you.

[01:00:33] I need to learn first.

[01:00:34] I just like their communicational skills.

[01:00:37] And I thought like you could see

[01:00:38] and they looked at good for however old

[01:00:40] they said they were, they lying.

[01:00:42] Cause in my opinion, they like 32.

[01:00:44] They're great.

[01:00:44] Yeah, I love them.

[01:00:45] And you know what?

[01:00:46] Like the line that my favorite line was,

[01:00:48] he's like, man, I was close.

[01:00:50] And she's like, yeah, it was.

[01:00:52] Yeah, it was.

[01:00:53] I was like, yes.

[01:00:54] No, my favorite line was the last episode

[01:00:57] when they were doing the skateboard

[01:00:59] and she said something like, I don't know.

[01:01:02] He said something of are you proud of me or something?

[01:01:04] And she was like, I would be if like you freed up.

[01:01:06] And he was like, see, she could have just said

[01:01:08] that was unnecessary, right?

[01:01:10] Yeah, like I just, I love their dynamic.

[01:01:13] I love their banter back and forth.

[01:01:15] Like, I just, I wish that we had more of them.

[01:01:18] I wish they did not leave us already.

[01:01:22] Yeah, and like they took nothing personal.

[01:01:24] They knew the-

[01:01:25] And you could tell they genuinely looked

[01:01:27] like they were having a good time.

[01:01:28] You know?

[01:01:29] I was just bummed because I think they could have

[01:01:31] finished a lot higher than what they did.

[01:01:32] Absolutely.

[01:01:33] Oh yeah.

[01:01:34] So like from what we know,

[01:01:35] they decided to do the Bolo one

[01:01:36] because it seemed more fun and more Argentinian

[01:01:41] as opposed to just riding a bicycle.

[01:01:43] So I think the answer would have been never go there

[01:01:45] in the first place or never give up in the first place

[01:01:48] because I think we can all agree that while they got

[01:01:51] further and further behind as the day went on,

[01:01:54] they didn't actually even do the final detour.

[01:01:56] They were told after the soccer stadium

[01:01:58] to go to the pit stop.

[01:02:00] And I really think the cool part is because they're

[01:02:03] cops, I think they would have done the other detour,

[01:02:05] the fingerprinting.

[01:02:06] And I think that one looked really cool

[01:02:07] and I wanted to simply try it.

[01:02:09] Right?

[01:02:10] We would have done the fingerprinting for sure.

[01:02:12] The one we would have chose too.

[01:02:14] So.

[01:02:15] But alas, they are gone.

[01:02:17] I don't even.

[01:02:19] I know.

[01:02:20] I didn't talk about the.

[01:02:21] Oh, but can I say something?

[01:02:22] You can say whatever you want

[01:02:24] and I won't let him hang up on you.

[01:02:25] Go for it.

[01:02:27] That bubble soccer challenge.

[01:02:29] Oh, I would have had so much fun.

[01:02:31] I would have been like Rod in there

[01:02:33] because that was so built for Rod.

[01:02:34] Like you just go in there, run everybody.

[01:02:36] He's a football player.

[01:02:38] He played for the NFL.

[01:02:40] He could have destroyed those people.

[01:02:43] I think people were running away from him.

[01:02:43] I think people were like, you go, it's cool.

[01:02:46] For sure.

[01:02:47] I kind of know.

[01:02:48] Like, I don't know, but I know.

[01:02:50] Like he held back on that.

[01:02:51] Like for sure.

[01:02:52] Oh, for sure.

[01:02:53] He would have killed them.

[01:02:54] He would have killed them.

[01:02:56] Also shout out to Stazer because he went in

[01:02:59] and he's like, wait, I can hit people?

[01:03:01] Like once he realized he could knock people over,

[01:03:03] he's like, I'm heavy.

[01:03:04] Like I'm in it.

[01:03:06] And he just started like boop, boop, boop, boop.

[01:03:08] And he did great.

[01:03:09] I think that we didn't give them enough credit

[01:03:10] for this episode because the cool part about this episode

[01:03:14] was this is the first time we actually saw Ricky

[01:03:16] and Stazer struggle a little bit at anything.

[01:03:18] And the dynamic they have between the two of them

[01:03:23] mostly with Stazer calming down Ricky,

[01:03:25] but Ricky wasn't so worked up,

[01:03:26] but like they had a very good dynamic

[01:03:29] and they were able to just sort of like

[01:03:31] see the bigger picture.

[01:03:32] Yes, it's hard for this second,

[01:03:33] but we regroup and we're okay.

[01:03:35] And I would like to see a little bit more.

[01:03:38] I would like to see them get to the finale.

[01:03:40] I think they would be great.

[01:03:41] And I think they deserve it,

[01:03:42] especially with how they've been racing this race

[01:03:44] because they're very smart.

[01:03:46] But I would like to see a little bit more.

[01:03:48] I think the struggle is fun.

[01:03:50] Like the sadistic part of me likes that.

[01:03:52] I think so too.

[01:03:53] Well, that's okay.

[01:03:54] I think that's what I like about watching the race

[01:03:57] is seeing how people interact

[01:03:59] or overcome very difficult challenges

[01:04:03] or getting lost or being second to last.

[01:04:07] Okay, how are we gonna recover?

[01:04:08] That's what I really enjoy about watching the race.

[01:04:12] Todd and I were talking,

[01:04:14] I think Wednesday night or whatever,

[01:04:16] but do you think that,

[01:04:19] because Ricky and Caesar, they're good at everything.

[01:04:21] Like we haven't really seen them like be terrible.

[01:04:24] Trouble, struggle.

[01:04:25] Right.

[01:04:25] So we were like,

[01:04:26] oh, do you think that they would be doing so well

[01:04:28] if they maybe went to a different country

[01:04:30] that had different language?

[01:04:34] And a part of me thought like,

[01:04:35] yeah, for sure they would have a struggle.

[01:04:37] But then I don't know,

[01:04:38] we keep seeing them like-

[01:04:40] After that Bolero challenge, man.

[01:04:42] I like they so-

[01:04:43] So I'm curious, what do you guys think?

[01:04:45] Do you think that they would continue to thrive

[01:04:48] if they were on doing a race

[01:04:50] that would take them to different countries

[01:04:52] and different languages?

[01:04:53] Or do you think that they would still be

[01:04:55] consistently at the top?

[01:04:57] I think they would consistently be at the top.

[01:04:59] I don't believe that Ricky and Caesar are human.

[01:05:02] I think that they are like these super power people

[01:05:06] that I don't know where they came from, what planet.

[01:05:08] But they're like,

[01:05:09] I honestly think that they really would be good.

[01:05:11] It looks like they have prepared.

[01:05:14] And when you say super fans,

[01:05:16] sometimes you see super fans that show up as Danny,

[01:05:18] but other times we see super fans

[01:05:20] that show up like a Caesar

[01:05:22] that is like so equipped for everything,

[01:05:25] so fast thinking, so calm level,

[01:05:27] and having a great partner like Ricky.

[01:05:29] So I'm gonna go with,

[01:05:30] I think that they would still be doing really well.

[01:05:34] I'm gonna go with like 75% the same of what you said.

[01:05:38] But I do think if they ended up in a country

[01:05:41] without English or without Spanish,

[01:05:43] I think if they ended up in like a Far East country

[01:05:46] where there was a legitimate language barrier,

[01:05:48] probably for most people on this season of the race,

[01:05:51] then I think that they would struggle a little.

[01:05:53] I think that their advantage is the ability

[01:05:56] to ask for directions and use the locals

[01:05:59] and use their surroundings very, very easily.

[01:06:02] And I think if that was taken away from them,

[01:06:03] I don't think it would make them any less fantastic

[01:06:06] at the actual roadblocks and detours

[01:06:08] because once you see a demonstration

[01:06:10] or whatever, you're fine.

[01:06:11] Unless they were involved in doing things

[01:06:14] like going into a market

[01:06:15] and having to use the local language.

[01:06:17] I think they would struggle a little.

[01:06:20] I actually think they would struggle more

[01:06:22] if they were on a season with U-turns

[01:06:24] because I think that everyone would try and stop them.

[01:06:27] And I think that by no fault of their own,

[01:06:30] I mean they can't.

[01:06:31] I think that that's where they would fall

[01:06:33] to the back of the pack

[01:06:34] because I think whenever anybody got a chance,

[01:06:36] they would try and take them out

[01:06:37] because they were very good.

[01:06:38] I totally agree with you because a lot of people think,

[01:06:41] oh, the language barrier is hard

[01:06:43] for like the roadblock or the detours.

[01:06:45] But honestly, our experience,

[01:06:48] it's like when you stop and ask for directions

[01:06:50] and people look at you with that blank stare

[01:06:52] and they don't know one bit of the English,

[01:06:56] you don't know one bit of their language

[01:06:58] and you are literally going,

[01:07:00] you're like trying to mine it.

[01:07:01] You're trying to mine and they get none of that, right?

[01:07:05] And so that was the hardest part about our-

[01:07:07] I agree.

[01:07:08] I feel like that's what took the longest during the-

[01:07:12] And that's when it sets in panic,

[01:07:14] it sets in doubt,

[01:07:15] it sets in a lot of things

[01:07:16] that you don't see on the screen

[01:07:18] that's just in between your ears, right?

[01:07:20] And you're just like,

[01:07:21] is this even the right way?

[01:07:23] Well unless you're me

[01:07:23] because I say everything that's in my head

[01:07:25] because I never shut up.

[01:07:26] So you actually saw it on my screen

[01:07:29] because I could never stop myself from talking.

[01:07:32] We joke around that if you watch me on mute,

[01:07:34] I'm like a good racer.

[01:07:36] But if you watch me while talking,

[01:07:38] I sound like a moron

[01:07:39] because I'm just telling myself I can't do things

[01:07:41] and I just never-

[01:07:42] At one point in Vietnam,

[01:07:44] I have a conversation with a stop sign.

[01:07:45] It just doesn't need to make it.

[01:07:47] I'm not joking, it didn't make sense.

[01:07:49] But I think the cool part about the language barrier

[01:07:51] is that part is where you're gonna see a shakeup

[01:07:53] in the order with when you're starting three teams

[01:07:56] at a time or two at a time

[01:07:57] and there isn't that.

[01:07:59] Sometimes you get lucky

[01:08:00] and you get a local who will understand a bit

[01:08:01] or sometimes you get really unlucky

[01:08:03] and you get a cab driver who just-

[01:08:05] Or Brooke, you just remind me,

[01:08:07] in Vietnam, when we're in Vietnam,

[01:08:09] we had this situation where we talked to somebody

[01:08:12] in broken, like slow English

[01:08:14] and they just take their head, yeah.

[01:08:15] Like, do you know where you're going?

[01:08:17] Yeah, and you hop in

[01:08:18] and they have no idea where they're going, right?

[01:08:21] Because yes is the most easily.

[01:08:22] Everyone wants to be, yes, yes, yes.

[01:08:25] But you don't know what they're saying yes to.

[01:08:27] People don't really know.

[01:08:28] And I think people are afraid to say no or let you down.

[01:08:31] And a lot of people just say yes

[01:08:32] and you're like, oh, they didn't do it.

[01:08:34] That's the hardest part.

[01:08:35] It's not really the language barrier.

[01:08:37] It's like the, yeah, yeah, let's go.

[01:08:39] And you're like, wait, we're lost.

[01:08:41] So yeah, definitely.

[01:08:44] Before we let you go,

[01:08:45] we know taking Ricky and Cesar out of it,

[01:08:49] who are some teams that you think

[01:08:52] that we could see in the end

[01:08:53] or potentially win outside of Ricky and Cesar?

[01:08:57] I kind of feel like the last few legs,

[01:09:03] I personally think the last top three

[01:09:06] in the last three episodes

[01:09:09] are who are the ones that I think are the ones to watch.

[01:09:13] I'm hoping Team Walla Walla,

[01:09:15] I would love for them to win one.

[01:09:17] I do.

[01:09:18] I just like, as Danny's like a super fan,

[01:09:21] like I wanna know what it's like to actually win one.

[01:09:25] We don't know.

[01:09:25] We have no idea what it's like to win one.

[01:09:27] They're such a good guy.

[01:09:29] I really do wish that they could win one,

[01:09:30] but I think we saw the last, the top three.

[01:09:34] Rod and Letitia for sure.

[01:09:36] Amber and Shane.

[01:09:38] Yeah.

[01:09:39] No, not Juan and Shane.

[01:09:41] I think Amber and Vinny though.

[01:09:42] I think-

[01:09:44] No, man, I fell off.

[01:09:45] I fell off.

[01:09:46] This is the bike, but I do.

[01:09:47] I think that they like-

[01:09:49] I think they have it in them.

[01:09:50] I see what you're saying.

[01:09:51] I like Amber, yeah, for sure.

[01:09:54] What did he do to you?

[01:09:56] What is when he couldn't do the bike?

[01:09:59] He's so pretty.

[01:10:00] Todd, Vinny is gonna send you a Peloton request

[01:10:03] and y'all gonna have to go add it on Peloton.

[01:10:06] Yeah, they're gonna do a battle to see-

[01:10:08] Right, and my money on Vinny.

[01:10:11] As long as Rod's not there, I'm in.

[01:10:15] I would offer to jump into this battle,

[01:10:17] but I know when I'm about to lose something.

[01:10:19] So hard pass on from me,

[01:10:20] but you'll let us know how that turned out.

[01:10:24] Todd and Ashley, we can't thank you enough
