[00:03:38] Step two, step two, step two.
[00:03:42] What's going on and welcome back to the Purple Pants Podcast.
[00:03:46] Survivor News.
[00:03:47] Our fourth first look at the new cast.
[00:03:51] We are super excited.
[00:03:53] Christmas isn't canceled apparently because we are back.
[00:03:56] It's like Christmas morning.
[00:03:57] We have a new cast of Survivor 47 and we can't do a first look
[00:04:02] without the Survivor uncles.
[00:04:04] Okay, now to be an uncle you got to be of a certain age.
[00:04:08] I necessarily don't qualify but we have a lot of people
[00:04:12] on this podcast that absolutely do qualify.
[00:04:15] Let's welcome back Wendell Holland, the winner of Ghost Island
[00:04:19] first merge boot of winners at war and Word on the Block.
[00:04:25] ABC Extreme Home Makeover is coming to ABC.
[00:04:30] Near you, what's going on?
[00:04:32] How we doing, Perp? Good to be back with my brothers.
[00:04:35] Or my unks.
[00:04:37] Good to be back with the unks.
[00:04:38] Yes, hailing in from Survivor Season 43.
[00:04:44] Philly's own James Jones was popping.
[00:04:48] I'm excited to be here always good for another Survivor season.
[00:04:52] I'm excited about this because I try to stay away from the cast
[00:04:55] as much as possible just as you kind of as I get you know
[00:04:59] quote unquote survivor old.
[00:05:00] So I'm excited to be here and kind of see what's happening
[00:05:03] with this new cast of 47.
[00:05:05] Yes, glad to have you here and listen last but certainly not least
[00:05:10] the NFL season has just kicked off.
[00:05:13] We just started September so we just retire Bryce Isaiah Zaddy
[00:05:19] of August.
[00:05:20] Let's welcome back Survivor 44 Brandon Coddle.
[00:05:24] Welcome back to the podcast.
[00:05:26] Thank you. Thank you. It was great to be back.
[00:05:28] You know this definitely one of my favorite times of the year
[00:05:30] Survivor Season comes around this like we write back into it.
[00:05:34] So definitely excited to get this going.
[00:05:37] It is. I do want to know James and Brandon.
[00:05:40] I think I asked you this last season but being even more two
[00:05:44] more seasons removed two and three seasons removed from
[00:05:47] your seasons.
[00:05:47] How does it feel the excitement of another cast coming out?
[00:05:53] I just like seeing the excitement that the cast members have
[00:05:56] like I mean you remember you get the you get the calls
[00:05:59] you get the touch you get the tweets.
[00:06:01] I was on Twitter so that was my dumb fault but but
[00:06:04] yeah so this is good to see everybody excited.
[00:06:06] It just kind of I feel like there's just like this excitement
[00:06:09] about anxiety about what's going to happen because you never
[00:06:11] know kind of what is going to happen in the season
[00:06:14] and I think that's the beauty of Survivor.
[00:06:19] Yeah for me it kind of just brings me back to when you know
[00:06:21] I was up on the chopping block and you know getting
[00:06:23] ready to get going and ready to watch my own season.
[00:06:26] So I'm excited for them.
[00:06:28] Obviously we got a little some good game play so I'm
[00:06:30] excited to see what everybody brings to the table and
[00:06:32] get to see the goal and also get to these watch parties
[00:06:36] because you know that's always one of the best
[00:06:37] watch parties to the right some of the watch parties.
[00:06:41] I mean you know.
[00:06:42] Chamele's plug we're going to be in New York in a couple
[00:06:45] of weeks so just so y'all know you know y'all probably
[00:06:47] should be there but if you don't be there that's on
[00:06:50] you but I'm saying I don't even know they got
[00:06:52] tickets left.
[00:06:53] I don't even know if the tickets aren't even left
[00:06:54] so I think I need to go get them Jones ASAP
[00:06:57] but that's just me you know I may be in the building
[00:06:59] some other people may be in the building you may
[00:07:01] just want to go and do that.
[00:07:03] You are absolutely right James it's a little different
[00:07:06] this year though James that you know I am running.
[00:07:10] I'm we are on a campaign trail we want to unite the
[00:07:15] survivor community together so you should join us
[00:07:20] on the BWP tour 47 the campaign this is our
[00:07:24] biggest tour yet we are hitting 10 cities not
[00:07:27] four not six not eight but 10 cities to unite
[00:07:33] the survivor kingdom me as your I'm running for
[00:07:38] president you know I want Wendell to be my VP
[00:07:42] Wendy's.
[00:07:42] I'm still I'm still trying to figure out if I want
[00:07:45] to be his running mate or not but I think I should
[00:07:48] be at the top of the ticket but that's a
[00:07:50] that's for another day.
[00:07:52] It is gracious.
[00:07:53] You know you split up to our vote who's at the
[00:07:56] top of the ticket fan vote.
[00:07:58] Oh, I'm like you're scared to do it.
[00:08:01] Let's get it going let's get it going.
[00:08:05] I mean you know Rob Rob has a podcast did do a
[00:08:09] survivor 50 fold I mean I did make it to the
[00:08:11] second round Wendell what realm did you make
[00:08:14] it to wait wait wait you only made it to the
[00:08:17] second round.
[00:08:19] Wait Bryce I wait a minute hold on let me get
[00:08:21] this right Bryce Isaiah only made it to the
[00:08:25] second round that what top 50.
[00:08:28] No I was the top 50 but then you know they had
[00:08:31] to do until it down to 18 you know what I said
[00:08:33] give it to the young kids you know been there
[00:08:35] done that you know you know give it to the
[00:08:39] young kids but we really are excited for
[00:08:42] tour 47 it is shaping up to be our our
[00:08:44] biggest tour ever we are kicking it off in
[00:08:50] the Dallas from Dallas LA from LA to
[00:08:55] Nashville from Nashville we're heading to
[00:08:57] New Orleans to Chicago to Philadelphia to
[00:09:01] Boston to our cities capital shout out to
[00:09:04] DC because DC our nation's capital DC and
[00:09:08] we are ending it right back in New York
[00:09:10] tickets are available you can click the
[00:09:12] link in the Bryce and Wynn present
[00:09:14] Instagram or Twitter bio and we hope to
[00:09:16] see you on the campaign trail near
[00:09:19] you.
[00:09:20] Yeah so let's just give the listeners and
[00:09:23] some of the unks because you know being a
[00:09:25] uncle your memory ain't that good so first
[00:09:30] look is all about we are going to read
[00:09:32] where the contestants are from we're
[00:09:34] gonna look at their photos and just based
[00:09:36] on what they look like we're going to
[00:09:38] offer them some uncle advice on how
[00:09:42] they should be playing or what they
[00:09:44] should be doing in the game simple fun
[00:09:46] nothing but love we are rooting for
[00:09:49] everybody this season and so this is just
[00:09:52] you know the uncles getting together and
[00:09:54] having a good time so it's all fun and
[00:09:56] love and we support all of the cast
[00:09:58] on but you know we excited to have a
[00:10:00] little fun you know
[00:10:03] what was that
[00:10:04] that was the interesting
[00:10:08] I mean listen so I mean right off the
[00:10:11] back we have the cast we are looking
[00:10:14] at the cast of season 47 any first
[00:10:16] takes any first what's your first look
[00:10:20] the money
[00:10:23] I think it's a good looking cast I think
[00:10:25] you know we got a couple characters just
[00:10:28] based off of you know first initial
[00:10:30] that I test I think it's going to be a
[00:10:32] good season you know for me this is a
[00:10:36] genuine first look I don't like to spoil
[00:10:38] it before we get to this I really like
[00:10:39] this to be a genuine first reaction so
[00:10:42] I'm enjoying what I'm seeing you know
[00:10:44] I think it's gonna be a good time and
[00:10:45] I'm excited to see what they bring to
[00:10:46] the table I think it looks like we have
[00:10:49] some personalities and coming off of
[00:10:51] 46 where it was personality heavy
[00:10:54] 45 was like game strict strategic heavy
[00:10:57] 46 was personality heavy this one
[00:10:59] I think we got a good mix but I see
[00:11:03] some people that I could see
[00:11:05] being those characters
[00:11:09] JJ
[00:11:11] I feel like I look at this from a
[00:11:14] just everybody there's no one that
[00:11:17] looks like they're like a super
[00:11:19] dominating physical presence which I
[00:11:21] think is like interesting for kind of
[00:11:24] how the cast are going to think about
[00:11:26] voting when it comes to the first
[00:11:27] challenge like there's no one it's
[00:11:29] looking like you see Brandi Cotton you
[00:11:30] see the Johnathan you don't see like
[00:11:32] a super hulking person so I think
[00:11:35] that's just interesting when it comes
[00:11:36] to thinking about you know how they're
[00:11:38] going to think about strength and how
[00:11:39] the game's going to play out so
[00:11:41] it's funny you say that James
[00:11:43] because my first look at this cast as
[00:11:45] a whole it reminded me of your cast
[00:11:47] season 43 right like there weren't any
[00:11:50] big bulky people but they all looked
[00:11:53] like they knew the game so if I had to
[00:11:55] give a first look this cast in my
[00:11:56] opinion is going to give us a mixture
[00:11:58] of season 43 and a season of 45
[00:12:01] mixed together you get 40 several
[00:12:05] I like it
[00:12:07] yeah because you know there isn't
[00:12:10] you know as JJ would say the threat
[00:12:12] level right when you look at
[00:12:13] everyone it seems like the threat
[00:12:15] level the threshold of the
[00:12:17] threshold of the threat level seems to be
[00:12:19] pretty even right there isn't anyone
[00:12:21] that's just like oh now I'm sure I could
[00:12:24] find a Zaddy or two because that's
[00:12:27] not hard but there it is
[00:12:31] interesting so I mean but let's get
[00:12:33] right into it who do we have as the
[00:12:35] first person we are given a first look
[00:12:37] to when we first up we have the one
[00:12:40] and only and I'm going to apologize
[00:12:42] in advance if I put your any names
[00:12:45] we have some names that aren't the
[00:12:49] easiest to read so first I'm going to
[00:12:50] start with Teenie say you want to
[00:12:55] churro chilo churro chio probably
[00:12:58] pronounced it wrong but we've seen
[00:13:00] Teenie before 24 years old from
[00:13:02] Manahawk in New Jersey she's a
[00:13:04] freelance writer three words to
[00:13:06] describe her social mischievous and
[00:13:08] introspective and Teenie what do we
[00:13:13] think about Teenie Teenie actually my
[00:13:15] first look is Teenie kind of reminds
[00:13:18] me almost of Evie a little bit
[00:13:21] yeah the short haircut yeah for me
[00:13:26] yeah I like Teenie I feel like she has
[00:13:30] to kind of make sure she blends in
[00:13:32] in the beginning where I feel like
[00:13:34] people aren't going to look at her
[00:13:35] as a super big threat so getting
[00:13:37] through the first half of the game is
[00:13:40] going to be the most difficult part
[00:13:41] but if she makes it to the merge I can
[00:13:43] see it be one of those people that
[00:13:44] people confide in they don't maybe see
[00:13:46] her as a super big threat and she can
[00:13:49] build a lot of friendships yeah I
[00:13:52] think good good my bad I was going
[00:13:55] to say my first take at Teenie is
[00:13:57] I just sneaky right sneaky in a good
[00:13:59] survivor way and so the fact that
[00:14:01] you read mischievous window right
[00:14:03] that is kind of like uh oh I feel
[00:14:05] like Teenie is going to be the one
[00:14:07] that's looking for our idol accusing
[00:14:08] somebody of having an idol or something
[00:14:10] so my advice to Teenie is stay low
[00:14:13] don't be be mischievous in your head
[00:14:16] keep your keeping in your head but
[00:14:18] don't put it out to the mask because
[00:14:20] I'm worried because I don't want them
[00:14:21] to label you as like the troublemaker
[00:14:23] but I think she has good energy and
[00:14:24] I think amazing TV we're in store
[00:14:26] for yeah that's actually exactly
[00:14:29] what I was gonna say I was gonna say
[00:14:30] she does give the vibe of kind of
[00:14:32] like a little bit sneaky but at the same
[00:14:33] time like really cool personality
[00:14:35] somebody could sit down have a good
[00:14:36] conversation with so I think it's like
[00:14:38] teetering on that line of like do you
[00:14:40] want to be the likable person or do you
[00:14:42] want to be the person where everybody's
[00:14:43] like I don't know if I could trust her
[00:14:45] I feel like she's gonna be on either
[00:14:48] side of that line but I'm excited to
[00:14:50] see kind of what she brings and how
[00:14:53] she kind of carries herself in the
[00:14:54] game because when you come out saying
[00:14:55] you want to be mischievous that
[00:14:57] immediately makes me think all right yeah
[00:14:58] I'm trying to get right into the nitty gritty
[00:15:00] and really have you know cause some chaos
[00:15:02] so you know I'm excited to see how she plays it
[00:15:05] I don't want her to come out the gate
[00:15:07] to mischievous I want her
[00:15:09] to I want her to make
[00:15:11] her bonds and then slowly
[00:15:13] ramp up the tactics
[00:15:15] for the antics and I'm hoping
[00:15:17] I'm hoping that that's what Teenie does
[00:15:19] so let me ask you all this right
[00:15:21] because now y'all saying oh I don't
[00:15:23] want her to be too mischievous at first
[00:15:25] now on season 40
[00:15:27] 46
[00:15:29] y'all was all mad that it was
[00:15:31] a slow beginning everybody was like the first
[00:15:33] four episodes are corny
[00:15:35] nothing's happening so which one is
[00:15:37] it? I think
[00:15:39] you have to play your individual game
[00:15:41] I like the quote-unquote like you know
[00:15:43] slow quote-unquote boring because I
[00:15:45] don't think anything is slow and boring
[00:15:46] I'm always trying to read it between the lines
[00:15:48] now thinking depends on like your position
[00:15:51] in the tribe so if you're not one
[00:15:53] of the bigger people and it's at the beginning
[00:15:55] you want to make sure that you're building
[00:15:57] those strategic friendships where
[00:15:58] when you are like a more physical presence
[00:16:01] in the tribe you have a little bit more leeway
[00:16:03] in the beginning of the game
[00:16:04] the game is really situational about
[00:16:07] when you choose to be mischievous
[00:16:09] and when you choose to use information
[00:16:11] when you choose not to use information
[00:16:13] and if you're a little mischievous
[00:16:14] a little too early and that's with anybody
[00:16:17] you can't even get caught up
[00:16:19] that's what happens
[00:16:20] okay
[00:16:21] we will see
[00:16:25] who do we have next
[00:16:27] on to the next the next gentleman
[00:16:29] we have is a gentleman by the name of
[00:16:31] Rome Cooney
[00:16:32] Rome is 30 years old
[00:16:35] from Corvallis, Oregon
[00:16:37] I'll probably pronounce that wrong
[00:16:39] his current residence is Phoenix, Arizona
[00:16:42] he's an eSports commentator
[00:16:44] three words to describe him
[00:16:46] charismatic
[00:16:48] entertaining and cutthroat
[00:16:50] and
[00:16:53] let's see
[00:16:54] favorite hobbies playing video games
[00:16:56] while listening to podcasts
[00:16:58] and his pet peeves are ordering
[00:17:00] food with someone then when we get the food
[00:17:02] they still want to take some of my fries
[00:17:04] or what I got if you want some
[00:17:06] then order some
[00:17:08] that's okay
[00:17:10] I feel him on that
[00:17:11] I hate that too
[00:17:15] I feel like
[00:17:16] that pet peeve
[00:17:18] may not be
[00:17:20] on the island you sharing everything
[00:17:21] when you get out there so you got to put those
[00:17:24] pet peeves aside so
[00:17:25] that may be something that you got to
[00:17:28] somebody drink out of your water bottle is what it is
[00:17:30] sometimes you let those things
[00:17:32] rock out so I wonder how
[00:17:34] that's going to vibe
[00:17:35] and we'll see how it works out
[00:17:38] energy is going to be 100
[00:17:40] and I think a lot of times
[00:17:41] you want to make sure that you're matching the energy level
[00:17:44] with your tribe so if he can do that
[00:17:46] and if they're high he's good
[00:17:47] they're low you know bring that energy down
[00:17:49] I look forward to kind of seeing how he blends in
[00:17:52] with other people
[00:17:54] see I feel like it's kind of different
[00:17:55] ordering as opposed to being on the island
[00:17:57] because on the island you know alright I'm going to have to share
[00:17:59] I'm going to have to
[00:18:00] I can't openly outright be like you know
[00:18:03] no you can't get my work
[00:18:04] or you can't get this, you can't get that
[00:18:06] with that being said he does to me look like he's high energy
[00:18:10] and I feel like
[00:18:12] that's kind of a good thing
[00:18:13] especially early on you want somebody who's
[00:18:15] high energy and going to be around can't
[00:18:17] do what they got to do now
[00:18:19] also going back to what he said
[00:18:22] how much you want to contribute
[00:18:23] to everybody else even if they don't have to
[00:18:25] ask for it necessarily I think that'll be
[00:18:27] an interesting part to see
[00:18:29] is he willing to just get out there and be alright
[00:18:31] you know what I'll go get you what about
[00:18:33] even though you didn't ask for it I'll go
[00:18:35] do this for you I'll do that for you just to try to
[00:18:37] kind of getting people's good graces you know early
[00:18:39] on especially
[00:18:41] yeah
[00:18:42] I see Rome being
[00:18:44] very high energy I also
[00:18:46] see Rome crashing out right
[00:18:48] because you telling me
[00:18:50] you playing video games and listening
[00:18:52] to podcast tell me
[00:18:53] you know you have like
[00:18:55] ADHD where it's like you got to have
[00:18:58] so many things going on
[00:19:00] to kind of like calm you a little bit so
[00:19:02] I'm worried that Rome is going to go on with
[00:19:03] real high energy and people are going to
[00:19:06] expect him to stay that high
[00:19:07] energy but as the game
[00:19:09] gets going and you got to worry about
[00:19:11] cannot trust you cannot trust
[00:19:13] you like I feel like we might
[00:19:15] see Rome crash out crash out in a way
[00:19:18] of like
[00:19:18] somebody out or like really kind of going
[00:19:21] in a little bit because
[00:19:23] he presents really nice but that high
[00:19:25] energy you got to release it some way shape
[00:19:27] or form and if you're not trying to share
[00:19:29] your fries and you're cooped up in a
[00:19:31] shack or you know what people
[00:19:33] for 24 hours you know I've been out there
[00:19:35] for three days so I know it
[00:19:37] it could get a little crazy at times
[00:19:39] so I think that Rome is going to be great TV
[00:19:41] and I think that we are going to get
[00:19:43] really good performances from
[00:19:45] wrong I think
[00:19:46] I think we should dig a little deeper in some of
[00:19:49] Rome's
[00:19:51] bio because he has some other things in
[00:19:53] here first thing
[00:19:55] is
[00:19:58] where were
[00:19:59] okay what is something you never know from
[00:20:01] looking at you he says I haven't
[00:20:03] eaten a vegetable other than
[00:20:04] in over two decades
[00:20:07] and I want to be the next
[00:20:09] host of survivor when Jeff retires
[00:20:11] it's the greatest job in the world
[00:20:13] and I would be humbled to be a successor
[00:20:15] I'm going to tell you first and foremost
[00:20:17] Rome love you
[00:20:19] we don't want to
[00:20:21] retiring we that's something
[00:20:23] that is never going to happen so
[00:20:25] we don't talk about that
[00:20:26] first one second of all
[00:20:30] what's your second
[00:20:31] as an uncle you need to get him a carrot
[00:20:33] okay
[00:20:34] hey man that's confidence though
[00:20:41] and I think sometimes in the game
[00:20:43] you don't want to come off as confident
[00:20:46] as you are
[00:20:46] like I think that sometimes hinders you as well
[00:20:49] when you present
[00:20:51] you kind of are that person
[00:20:53] or you're not worried about people
[00:20:55] interview you have to present that idea
[00:20:57] that you are worried about folks
[00:20:59] it does rub people the wrong way
[00:21:00] when you really just like
[00:21:02] I'm going to pick it up
[00:21:04] when you present that way
[00:21:07] it's tough
[00:21:08] from experience
[00:21:10] I thought that goes back to self-awareness
[00:21:12] because even to make a statement like
[00:21:14] that is
[00:21:16] that's kind of out there to say
[00:21:18] you might think it but you don't actually say that
[00:21:20] especially to whoever you're talking to
[00:21:22] that's a wild take to have
[00:21:25] now that kind of makes you think
[00:21:26] does he have the self-awareness to be out there
[00:21:28] and to realize where he's at in the tribe
[00:21:30] and not hopefully outright
[00:21:32] say it
[00:21:33] and I just want to say
[00:21:36] if we're talking about self-awareness
[00:21:38] Rome I love you brother
[00:21:39] I want you to win this right
[00:21:42] question when will you be
[00:21:44] why will you be the sole survivor
[00:21:46] answer I will play my idols
[00:21:48] I will win at least
[00:21:50] four individual
[00:21:52] immunity challenges
[00:21:53] I have a way with words to get people to do what I want
[00:21:56] and having
[00:21:57] anyone but me mentality
[00:21:59] Rome I hope you do all of that
[00:22:02] I really do
[00:22:03] this is giving
[00:22:04] I'm going to do a lot in the beginning
[00:22:07] and
[00:22:08] I'm going to get out there
[00:22:10] and I don't know I wish Rome the best
[00:22:13] but yeah man
[00:22:14] I feel like we
[00:22:16] listen I'm not mad at the anybody
[00:22:18] but me mentality right like that's a
[00:22:21] listen I wish I had that about
[00:22:23] a decade ago anybody put me
[00:22:25] because that is a good
[00:22:26] mentality to have like I said
[00:22:28] I said what I said I feel like
[00:22:30] Rome is going to crash out but not crash
[00:22:33] out in a bad way crash that's what the
[00:22:35] young folks say you know you know the unks try to be
[00:22:37] cool crash out means
[00:22:39] I feel like he gonna go in on somebody
[00:22:41] or he gonna go in on an immunity run
[00:22:43] and be like
[00:22:44] you ever be in the rest of the moves
[00:22:46] he not making no immunity right
[00:22:47] well
[00:22:49] you're highly
[00:22:51] that cuts out a lot of stuff
[00:22:53] like
[00:22:55] time out you
[00:22:57] ever now this might be a little TMI
[00:23:00] you ever like going to the
[00:23:01] bad for me you'd be like
[00:23:02] I ain't eat no corn
[00:23:06] next next cast member
[00:23:08] thank you
[00:23:10] alright
[00:23:11] next class we have
[00:23:13] since right yeah
[00:23:14] we have
[00:23:15] is our next cast member
[00:23:18] I hope I'm or I'm sorry I hope I'm pronouncing
[00:23:20] it right probably not she's
[00:23:22] 26 from Santa Rosa California
[00:23:24] she lives in LA she's a marketing manager
[00:23:26] three words to describe you exuberant
[00:23:29] curious and calculated
[00:23:30] and
[00:23:32] why do you want to be a part of survivor
[00:23:34] being on survivors an instinctual need
[00:23:36] of mine from the very first
[00:23:38] episode I watched season 28
[00:23:40] I hope you watch the first episode
[00:23:43] because Bryce was only on tour
[00:23:45] I immediately googled how to
[00:23:47] apply to get on survivor I truly believe
[00:23:50] that survivors most epic game to exist
[00:23:52] it is challenging the human
[00:23:53] body both mentally and physically
[00:23:55] I want the challenge I believe I can win this
[00:23:57] game and I can't wait to see how it plays
[00:23:59] out I love her I
[00:24:04] get J Maya vibes from her right
[00:24:06] like I almost feel like girl let's get justice
[00:24:08] for J Maya I feel like
[00:24:10] calculating I love it
[00:24:11] that means you're a methodical that means
[00:24:13] I also I feel like she a little petty
[00:24:16] right and sometimes a survivor you got to
[00:24:18] be petty you got to remember what somebody
[00:24:19] did to you on day one and on
[00:24:21] day 13 time to strike the iron
[00:24:24] my advice is that
[00:24:26] to my sis is that I want
[00:24:28] you to stay in the forefront
[00:24:29] I don't want you to fall into the background
[00:24:31] I want you to be a part of
[00:24:33] the conversations that matter because
[00:24:36] I feel like you got a smart
[00:24:37] mind on you and I could see
[00:24:39] I'm a cagone far
[00:24:42] I feel like that was my
[00:24:43] mission but the thing be
[00:24:45] now I'm gonna say that was my mission take she seems
[00:24:47] very smart and like it like she said calculated
[00:24:50] especially where being in marketing
[00:24:51] I feel like she knows how to present herself
[00:24:53] even though might not be what she wants
[00:24:55] what it really is inside
[00:24:58] so I'm excited
[00:24:59] to see what she does I think she's going to be one
[00:25:01] who kind of played the slow at first
[00:25:03] is kind of sitting back watching everybody
[00:25:05] and making the right like she said
[00:25:07] calculated
[00:25:11] presenting herself the right way so she is a marketing
[00:25:14] marketing what
[00:25:17] she is a marketing
[00:25:18] what she doing marketing
[00:25:19] marketing manager
[00:25:21] so she manages marketing manager okay so
[00:25:23] she's so exactly she sees
[00:25:26] that she's not new to this so
[00:25:27] and I think you know big part of survivors
[00:25:29] marketing yourself whether it's how you actually
[00:25:31] feel or how you want to be portrayed
[00:25:33] it's a big part of our this is who I want you to see
[00:25:35] this is what I want you to feel is how I want
[00:25:37] to feel about me and
[00:25:39] when it comes out to that's all marketing
[00:25:42] yeah and I feel like working
[00:25:43] in marketing teams
[00:25:45] you have to work with different dynamic so you're used
[00:25:47] to kind of working with people that are passionate
[00:25:49] about ideas so things underestimated
[00:25:52] from a marketing standpoint where you have
[00:25:54] you have a bunch of creatives in the room
[00:25:56] and creatives are really passionate
[00:25:57] about their ideas so managing those personalities
[00:25:59] is almost akin to
[00:26:01] you know the big personalities or the people on
[00:26:03] the team that are going to be the first to
[00:26:04] survive her and the calculating part
[00:26:06] of the thing people are going to perceive her as
[00:26:08] smart so managing that perception
[00:26:10] of people thinking that she's smart
[00:26:12] and what does that mean for their game
[00:26:14] so my advice would be
[00:26:15] to you know make sure that people think
[00:26:18] that you're using your you know
[00:26:19] perceived smartness
[00:26:20] for the benefit of whoever you're working with
[00:26:23] so that will be my you know
[00:26:24] own cool advice
[00:26:25] okay
[00:26:28] um
[00:26:30] what was I going to go her hobbies are
[00:26:32] dancing specifically hip hop
[00:26:34] Bryce oh ceramics
[00:26:36] throwing on the wheel
[00:26:37] cooking people I love
[00:26:40] gardening and being a plant mom
[00:26:41] and yoga and meditation
[00:26:43] she's gonna kill it out there
[00:26:46] these are a lot of things that she seems
[00:26:48] like you know would would make for someone
[00:26:50] that is social and also good
[00:26:52] at challenges and also zen enough
[00:26:54] to take things with
[00:26:55] with a grain of salt or in the right
[00:26:57] stride
[00:26:58] I think she can do well
[00:27:01] we wear those yoga people
[00:27:04] balance is one of those things
[00:27:06] balance is probably one of the
[00:27:07] biggest things on the show
[00:27:09] just in general balance
[00:27:11] strength is great but balance
[00:27:13] is probably one of the more important things that
[00:27:17] it's funny like here
[00:27:18] she's in yoga she's a plant mom
[00:27:20] I immediately start thinking jane
[00:27:22] because jamie off my season she did all those
[00:27:24] she was very in the plants she did
[00:27:27] yoga to very zen
[00:27:28] she was kind of she kind of be all over the place but
[00:27:30] at the same time she had it together in a way
[00:27:33] that we didn't even really realize
[00:27:35] while we were out there so I'm curious
[00:27:36] see how her game might
[00:27:38] kind of be similar to like to
[00:27:41] jamies in a way because they have a lot of
[00:27:42] similar hobbies and everything
[00:27:44] like that and since
[00:27:47] you brought up Jamie from season 44
[00:27:49] I like to take the time
[00:27:50] to just give her her flowers right
[00:27:53] since knowing the cast
[00:27:54] hearing stories right
[00:27:57] I feel like the edit did Jamie
[00:27:59] horrible right I feel like
[00:28:01] it made her seem like
[00:28:03] she ain't know what was going on
[00:28:05] she was like but listening to Jamie
[00:28:07] listening to jam listening to you
[00:28:09] listening to so many people
[00:28:10] Jamie was running it out there
[00:28:14] yeah
[00:28:14] like she was locked in
[00:28:16] that it did not do her well
[00:28:18] for a very long time to be honest
[00:28:21] Jamie was a lot more locked in
[00:28:24] than anybody can really know
[00:28:25] because obviously you're going to see what they want to show you
[00:28:27] there's a whole backstory to everything
[00:28:29] which a lot of people will never know
[00:28:31] but us were out there know yes initially
[00:28:33] like even me I even said
[00:28:34] she felt like a chicken out there with her head cut off
[00:28:37] but then as I started to learn
[00:28:39] more and I realized she's actually making a lot
[00:28:41] more connections than
[00:28:42] I even saw or that
[00:28:44] and I thought I was in a great spot
[00:28:46] I'm like she was very very very
[00:28:50] underestimated from
[00:28:51] like day one so
[00:28:53] definitely saw out to Jamie you got to give her her fireworks
[00:28:55] because she was a lot more in touch with what was going on
[00:28:57] than as she put off
[00:29:00] absolutely
[00:29:01] who we got next one to use
[00:29:03] next we have Taryn TK
[00:29:05] Foster I am
[00:29:06] I'm excited about this brother right here because
[00:29:09] I'm getting Q vibes
[00:29:11] already I am
[00:29:12] praying
[00:29:14] to all thing to all the survivor guys
[00:29:17] that we have Q2.0 here
[00:29:20] like
[00:29:21] listen at this point
[00:29:23] time any brother
[00:29:25] with a nick without
[00:29:27] with letters as a nickname
[00:29:29] okay TV
[00:29:31] goal okay I just
[00:29:33] know TK
[00:29:35] you don't even need to read nothing about him
[00:29:37] I just know
[00:29:39] with that bun in that stance
[00:29:41] TK is going to be a
[00:29:43] problem I'm worried for
[00:29:45] the Easter Bunny okay I'm
[00:29:47] worried for the holidays
[00:29:50] with TK
[00:29:51] what okay
[00:29:53] TK is 31 years old he's from PG County
[00:29:55] Maryland he lives in upper Marlboro
[00:29:58] Maryland he's an athletic
[00:29:59] marketing manager
[00:30:01] three words to describe him spontaneous
[00:30:03] genuine and ambitious
[00:30:05] why do you want to be a part of survivor
[00:30:07] I feel as if my entire life has led me
[00:30:09] to this moment to take on a challenge
[00:30:11] from my dad going to prison at a very
[00:30:14] young age to being diagnosed with a kidney
[00:30:16] disease that almost killed me
[00:30:18] in high school since I was born
[00:30:20] I've been beating the odds this beautiful
[00:30:22] game gives me a chance to do that
[00:30:24] once again
[00:30:26] who do you
[00:30:27] think you will play most like
[00:30:30] my favorite player of all time is Tony
[00:30:32] oh
[00:30:33] oh let
[00:30:35] let me go on record right now
[00:30:39] could this be
[00:30:41] our
[00:30:43] fourth black
[00:30:44] man winner
[00:30:45] I got a little goosebumps listening
[00:30:48] to him talk
[00:30:50] I'm just saying it
[00:30:51] who was the first three
[00:30:52] it was Jeremy Collins
[00:30:55] Earl Cole and
[00:30:59] I don't know
[00:31:01] I don't know
[00:31:02] Jeremy Collins
[00:31:04] he's like Jim jim got a nice little
[00:31:07] ten
[00:31:08] Jeremy Collins
[00:31:09] Jeremy Collins
[00:31:10] Earl Cole
[00:31:11] Jim jim
[00:31:12] Jim jim
[00:31:17] I
[00:31:19] tell you about TK
[00:31:20] man TK
[00:31:21] when you guys were talking earlier
[00:31:25] about there's no standout physical threat
[00:31:27] um
[00:31:28] I'm scared that like once TK comes out of his
[00:31:31] shirt he might
[00:31:32] whoa
[00:31:35] your internet was breaking up
[00:31:38] what did you say window
[00:31:39] your internet was breaking up
[00:31:41] I think TK
[00:31:43] a strong
[00:31:45] person
[00:31:47] come out to Sherbrooke
[00:31:49] okay
[00:31:51] so Wendell I understand what you're saying
[00:31:53] I think that's the hardest part like about
[00:31:56] when you look at the pictures is seeing
[00:31:58] like physical presence
[00:31:59] like that's the hardest part to figure out
[00:32:02] like yo who really is exerting
[00:32:03] like
[00:32:05] who's that person at the looks and like oh yeah
[00:32:07] and if he's that
[00:32:08] person that people look at like that
[00:32:09] you have to monitor the way you play the game because
[00:32:12] you have to show some type of deficiency out there
[00:32:14] so if you are
[00:32:16] and it's like if you're playing
[00:32:18] super health a skeleton and people see that
[00:32:20] you are physical it's like you have to
[00:32:22] like be an Austin and kind of manage your
[00:32:24] your threat level from
[00:32:26] when people just look at you like you physical whether you are
[00:32:28] or you aren't
[00:32:29] so
[00:32:31] it's hard to do a lot
[00:32:33] when people have eyes on you
[00:32:34] and if people have eyes on you
[00:32:36] you have to be mindful so I think
[00:32:38] he's going in with a really good you know
[00:32:40] strategy really good energy
[00:32:41] I feel like his team is looking at him as a
[00:32:43] tribal as an asset but making sure
[00:32:46] that you can kind of your threat level
[00:32:48] as an asset doesn't get too high
[00:32:50] going into the emergency because
[00:32:52] that part because you know
[00:32:53] that double tribal comes up you know what I'm saying
[00:32:56] and you know people get to cut
[00:32:58] they do and it's usually
[00:32:59] okay
[00:33:01] now I wanted his favorite
[00:33:04] hobbies watching football
[00:33:06] going to the gym playing X-Box
[00:33:08] something that
[00:33:09] people would never know from looking at you so
[00:33:12] I think those I think some of those things
[00:33:13] resonate with Brandon the football thing but then
[00:33:16] something you would never know about from looking at you
[00:33:18] I'm kind of a nerd at heart
[00:33:20] I love video games
[00:33:22] anime sci-fi films
[00:33:23] I really like nature documentaries as well
[00:33:26] so I feel like James
[00:33:28] you might want to see it with him also
[00:33:30] yo I mean hey
[00:33:31] I don't I mean after hearing that
[00:33:34] that may be similar to me
[00:33:35] I love anime I love sci-fi
[00:33:38] I don't know about the nature docs but
[00:33:40] I do watch naked and afraid and alone and all of them
[00:33:42] so in a way
[00:33:43] and I think maybe it's coming from me where it's like
[00:33:46] when you I feel like you don't have that many weaknesses
[00:33:49] I think in this game you want to figure out
[00:33:51] what weakness you want to try to perceive out there
[00:33:53] when you do have a lot of tangibles
[00:33:55] like you said he looks like a winner right
[00:33:57] so when you look like a winner
[00:33:59] you have to do things to
[00:34:01] make you look less wintery because
[00:34:03] if you're saying that looking at them
[00:34:05] people looking at them upon the road thinking the same thing
[00:34:07] walking around ponding like yo who that
[00:34:09] who that and when people are saying who that
[00:34:11] for you upon the road
[00:34:13] it's like a good and bad thing where like
[00:34:14] people have been thinking of you and he's going to have that energy
[00:34:17] that smile and it's a
[00:34:19] double-edged sword so he's
[00:34:21] got managed that if he can
[00:34:22] he can definitely do some damage so
[00:34:27] yeah
[00:34:28] Wendell James question for you
[00:34:30] and I need you to think on the fly
[00:34:32] you got three seconds to answer it
[00:34:35] Hall bra
[00:34:36] TK brandon C
[00:34:38] who you got three seconds
[00:34:41] I got caught him
[00:34:42] but
[00:34:44] but how tall do we think he is
[00:34:47] how tall do we think he is
[00:34:48] you don't be like
[00:34:49] cause you came with terminus
[00:34:52] he might be about five five ten
[00:34:54] yeah but put him against
[00:34:56] you
[00:34:59] cause I can see six foot with the bun
[00:35:02] but brother
[00:35:02] you can't put a giant
[00:35:05] against even if someone is small
[00:35:06] and strong like you can't
[00:35:08] cut him
[00:35:10] way high go ahead
[00:35:12] go ahead I play basketball
[00:35:14] cut him every week and I watch him muscle everybody
[00:35:16] okay
[00:35:17] so what are you saying I'm saying
[00:35:20] Kata will beat him
[00:35:21] you're saying size wise
[00:35:23] I have confidence kind will be anybody
[00:35:26] in survivor in a hall bra
[00:35:28] what's the difference between
[00:35:29] TK and Kata
[00:35:31] put TK against someone more evenly
[00:35:33] put him against Q and it'll be a good one
[00:35:36] why is he not evenly matched against brandon
[00:35:38] cause he's not as big as brandon
[00:35:40] got fifty pounds on him
[00:35:42] what do you say
[00:35:42] you just want to say he's not as big as brandon
[00:35:45] all he want you to say
[00:35:48] you went right
[00:35:51] like
[00:35:51] like write him up shut him down
[00:35:54] oh my god
[00:35:56] he was like this
[00:35:57] okay
[00:36:00] okay uncle wins
[00:36:01] oh my god
[00:36:04] hey but you know what though
[00:36:05] they really should like show their heights
[00:36:08] maybe not the weights but they should
[00:36:09] show the heights on these profiles just cause
[00:36:12] you can't really tell from any of these
[00:36:15] pictures
[00:36:17] when they're together you can kind of tell
[00:36:19] like the reference between each other
[00:36:20] but you can't really tell how tall people are
[00:36:23] yeah I definitely
[00:36:24] say he's probably 5'11", 6'5", I would see that
[00:36:26] but alright
[00:36:28] welcome back Wendeezy who we got next
[00:36:30] next we have Tiana Hollams
[00:36:32] or Tyanna I'm sorry
[00:36:35] she's 27
[00:36:36] she's from
[00:36:38] Aiea Hawaii
[00:36:38] and she's a flight attendant
[00:36:41] three words to describe you
[00:36:42] adventures, multi-passionate
[00:36:44] and funny
[00:36:46] um
[00:36:48] why do you want to be a part of survivor
[00:36:50] oh my god why don't I want to be on survivor
[00:36:52] I love challenging myself
[00:36:53] I want to see who I am when everything is
[00:36:56] stripped away from me
[00:36:57] I want to afford
[00:36:59] and thrive in Hawaii as a native Hawaiian
[00:37:02] I want to support my family
[00:37:04] in all aspects
[00:37:05] I love adventure I'm constantly pushing the envelope
[00:37:08] I want to show out for Hawaii
[00:37:10] shout out to Kody from Hawaii also right
[00:37:14] I want to show out for Hawaii
[00:37:15] and let everyone know that Hawaii is more than a loha
[00:37:18] spirit
[00:37:21] she's dangerous
[00:37:22] James why are you shaking your head
[00:37:26] she's dangerous
[00:37:28] so like I feel like
[00:37:30] you're at people that are like TK
[00:37:31] these outwardly oh yeah that's TK
[00:37:34] he can win the game threats
[00:37:35] you have people like Tiana who I'm scared of
[00:37:38] where I'm like everybody will love this person
[00:37:41] they don't necessarily present
[00:37:42] super threaty
[00:37:43] and they're going to try to take that
[00:37:45] I'm more quote unquote threatening than this person
[00:37:47] so to me
[00:37:49] a player like Tiana I would want to align with
[00:37:52] she reminds me she's giving me Carla energy
[00:37:55] just like in my head
[00:37:56] when I just kind of see her
[00:37:57] and that kind of just the vibe
[00:37:59] is like you know I'm here
[00:38:01] I'm confident and people are going to
[00:38:04] roll with me and like me flight attendants
[00:38:05] you got to deal with a bunch of crazy people all day
[00:38:08] like people management
[00:38:09] and I don't think she's going to come all super
[00:38:11] intimidating which make you a good ally
[00:38:14] where she's going to have a lot of information
[00:38:15] coming her way so I think
[00:38:18] she's one of those people that you're not I don't think
[00:38:19] people are going to target off hand
[00:38:21] as being someone that's like ooh she's
[00:38:23] super smart ooh she's super like
[00:38:26] I feel like you get the plan to say oh it's
[00:38:28] my personality I'm vibing
[00:38:29] with people this way and that's not going to be threatening
[00:38:31] and those people are threatening to me
[00:38:32] but I'm scared of her
[00:38:34] let me be clear
[00:38:37] I love her I think
[00:38:39] her biggest issue
[00:38:41] is going to be
[00:38:42] coming off of season 45
[00:38:44] having a winner like Dee right
[00:38:46] I think that she embodies a lot
[00:38:48] of what I remember first entering
[00:38:50] with Dee and so I think her
[00:38:53] my biggest advice to her
[00:38:55] is downplay a lot of your
[00:38:56] strengths in the beginning because like you don't want
[00:38:59] that this cast has
[00:39:00] 45 is fresh
[00:39:03] and so I
[00:39:04] I see a lot but go ahead Brandon
[00:39:07] oh wait
[00:39:08] wait let me drop some more gems in here real quick
[00:39:10] I just I looked through her bio again
[00:39:12] this is my winner pick yo
[00:39:14] like she the amount
[00:39:16] of stuff in this it's she just
[00:39:18] has a lot to her and
[00:39:20] first I want to say
[00:39:22] she's the previous player she identifies
[00:39:24] with of course she says poverty a lot of people say
[00:39:26] poverty but she also says I loved
[00:39:28] Gabler he was constantly
[00:39:30] networking but knew when
[00:39:32] to take a back seat he listened and
[00:39:34] observed before making a move
[00:39:35] and he won into individual
[00:39:37] individual immunity challenge and could read situations
[00:39:39] okay then
[00:39:41] favorite hobbies reading yoga
[00:39:44] hiking going to the beach eating a lot
[00:39:46] volleyball travel pickleball
[00:39:48] I just journaling
[00:39:49] I just think there's a lot to her that
[00:39:52] keeps her then but also
[00:39:54] like athletic enough to do certain challenges
[00:39:56] and then I want to say
[00:39:58] the last thing I saw was
[00:40:01] and I'm sorry for like
[00:40:02] throwing all this out there
[00:40:07] okay what's something
[00:40:08] we would never know from looking at you
[00:40:10] you wouldn't know that I'm really deep thinker
[00:40:12] I love asking people deep questions
[00:40:14] and I'm fascinated by the human psyche
[00:40:15] I think she's going to be one of these people
[00:40:18] that connect with people
[00:40:20] on an individual level
[00:40:22] and I think she I think she's
[00:40:24] a threat like I think
[00:40:26] scary
[00:40:27] scary scary scary
[00:40:29] and nervous for
[00:40:31] it's so funny hearing you sell this stuff right
[00:40:33] like you say yeah she's a deep
[00:40:35] thinker um
[00:40:36] the first thing I was going to say before you even said she kind of like
[00:40:40] aligns herself with like a
[00:40:41] gamer type player she's from Hawaii right
[00:40:43] so she's going to give you off those like she said
[00:40:45] aloha vibes immediately
[00:40:47] people are going to be like oh she's cool
[00:40:49] she's chillin she might not be
[00:40:50] you know once you come across initially
[00:40:53] oh she's here to enjoy the game
[00:40:55] she's here to you know for
[00:40:57] the experience and those are the scariest people because
[00:41:00] yes that's what they're trying to
[00:41:02] you know give you as a perception
[00:41:04] but at the whole time like
[00:41:05] like she said I'm a deep thinker
[00:41:07] a deep thinker she's going
[00:41:09] to be the one who's going to come up and buy people on the ad
[00:41:12] she's going to be the one who surprises people
[00:41:13] with some of these challenges because like she said
[00:41:15] she does all these different you know
[00:41:17] athletic activities she might not look it
[00:41:19] but she's going to be the one who surprises
[00:41:21] you at kind of every turn and I think that's
[00:41:24] that's what kind of gives you like Wendell said
[00:41:25] she could be a winner pick right
[00:41:27] yeah
[00:41:30] right but y'all have to remember this is the new era
[00:41:34] right
[00:41:35] they study the show we keep
[00:41:37] thinking of these idols like Tony
[00:41:39] like Boston Robb like Bryce
[00:41:42] like these people right
[00:41:43] their new idols are
[00:41:46] Boston Robb
[00:41:49] Jeremy Collins
[00:41:49] Bryce
[00:41:51] Gabler like they keep looking at these idols
[00:41:53] that are older but what I'm saying to you
[00:41:56] why I'm worried and first of all
[00:41:58] I love her everything I'll say and I agree with
[00:42:00] what I am worried is in this new era
[00:42:02] we have gablers
[00:42:03] we have jam jams we have
[00:42:05] these we have kensies
[00:42:07] those we
[00:42:08] and they are relatively new archetypes
[00:42:11] that we have seen and I'm just worried that
[00:42:14] this cast is going to like
[00:42:16] sniff that out right away
[00:42:17] I think once you get out there go be
[00:42:20] I was going to say the reason I think that those type
[00:42:22] archetypes are winning
[00:42:24] is because in the moment when you're
[00:42:26] out there you feel comfortable with them
[00:42:28] I don't think that it's it's like
[00:42:30] what you can sit back and like
[00:42:31] watching it back you can say oh yeah
[00:42:33] that's the type person who's going to win but when you're out there
[00:42:35] in the grid of it you're like oh this somebody feel comfortable
[00:42:38] with who I think I can be
[00:42:39] who I'm not really too worried about
[00:42:41] and I think that's that's those the ones
[00:42:43] that kind of sneak up on you and invite you in that
[00:42:46] way
[00:42:47] exactly brandes exactly about the same
[00:42:49] like we like when you get out there
[00:42:51] a lot of the rules you make in your head you kind of
[00:42:53] forget about and you're sitting there thinking
[00:42:55] about she looks like someone that I can
[00:42:57] possibly be as opposed to TK
[00:42:59] or kind of a Caleb type
[00:43:01] where you're like look at this guy right
[00:43:03] look at this person she is
[00:43:05] but she she is does have a presence
[00:43:08] that people are going to like
[00:43:09] so it's like those are like the dangerous place
[00:43:12] when you're out there when you're looking
[00:43:13] at a person you're excited somebody up is one
[00:43:16] thing to be outside the game we are in the
[00:43:17] game you're like oh they cool
[00:43:19] and you got these three other people that are
[00:43:21] conniving and connecting all super strong
[00:43:23] in the game this is my person we can rock out
[00:43:25] but quietly she's cool with those people too
[00:43:27] and like those are the people that are
[00:43:29] dangerous I'd venture to say
[00:43:31] guys in this new era there's
[00:43:33] no there's no archetype of a winner
[00:43:36] I feel like
[00:43:38] these winners are so
[00:43:40] there there might have been one
[00:43:41] for the first 40 seasons or whatever
[00:43:44] but now it's just like again whoever
[00:43:45] gets the end by
[00:43:48] making you feel most comfortable
[00:43:49] or whatever that's who you're going to award so like
[00:43:51] we I don't think we can look at all these winners and
[00:43:54] say alright all of the blah blah blah
[00:43:55] are the are the winners of the new era
[00:43:58] so
[00:43:59] yeah I don't think that there's a box that we
[00:44:01] could put winners in any more argue with you
[00:44:03] at another date because I definitely have some
[00:44:05] serious about this but it's all good
[00:44:08] listen I'm all I'm saying
[00:44:10] is I like this
[00:44:12] make it to the end
[00:44:13] would you want to align with her yes
[00:44:15] would she be sure to end yes
[00:44:17] like that's like
[00:44:18] she's a problem
[00:44:20] yeah alright
[00:44:23] up next we have Rachel
[00:44:25] Lamont
[00:44:27] Rachel is 34 years old
[00:44:30] she's from Dexter, Michigan
[00:44:31] she resides in Southfield, Michigan
[00:44:33] she's a graphic designer down to earth
[00:44:35] bubbly and determined
[00:44:37] I discovered survivor in 2017
[00:44:39] when my husband Derek randomly put it on my TV
[00:44:41] I was immediately captivated
[00:44:44] by the game I love people
[00:44:45] I love pushing myself
[00:44:47] out of my comfort zone I love games
[00:44:49] and I love money
[00:44:50] why wouldn't I want to be part of survivor
[00:44:54] lover
[00:44:56] I get
[00:44:57] Franny vibes
[00:44:58] I get all three vibes
[00:45:00] I get very like intuitive
[00:45:03] vibes right and when I think
[00:45:05] about people like Franny
[00:45:07] Sophie
[00:45:08] I think sometimes they
[00:45:11] get my biggest advice is like
[00:45:13] don't you always want to be in the
[00:45:15] know but make sure
[00:45:17] you're driving some votes make sure you're
[00:45:19] like you're going the way that you wanted to go
[00:45:21] and not just going the way that
[00:45:23] people are saying to go because it keeps you safe
[00:45:25] like you know strike out but I love her
[00:45:27] I love her energy I feel like
[00:45:29] I get new era from her
[00:45:32] hobbies pottery
[00:45:33] traveling golf and yoga we got a lot of
[00:45:35] yogis
[00:45:38] I feel like
[00:45:39] at 34 which is
[00:45:41] old for survivor cast
[00:45:43] but in the new era just making
[00:45:45] sure that she can blend in with the younger
[00:45:47] people and but she'll still have
[00:45:49] that wisdom that you know
[00:45:51] and then life experience that the mid
[00:45:53] 20s don't have and that can make her
[00:45:55] dangerous and I think if she can kind
[00:45:57] of keep her threat level
[00:45:59] relatively you know know what blend
[00:46:01] in I feel like she can do some damage
[00:46:03] because I feel like she has that
[00:46:05] unassuming nature unassuming
[00:46:07] kind of personality and I feel like
[00:46:08] those are people you want to work with and you also feel
[00:46:11] like you can be but in the day they
[00:46:13] may be building great relationships with people
[00:46:15] that where people are coming to her as a
[00:46:17] you know more mature person X Y Z
[00:46:19] and she's building a different type of relationship then you may be building
[00:46:21] with people so she's one of those people
[00:46:23] that looks that you think oh I can be
[00:46:24] and I can bring them far but you don't know the way
[00:46:27] that they're building and they're not getting blood in their hands on the
[00:46:29] way so that's my thought process
[00:46:32] it's something to
[00:46:33] I don't know why we don't hear this
[00:46:35] enough is something to somebody
[00:46:37] saying I like money right like
[00:46:39] it's like what you won't do for money right
[00:46:41] I think I like that about
[00:46:43] Rachel I don't think we hear that enough
[00:46:45] and I think that
[00:46:47] people would do some strange things for some change
[00:46:49] so it's like I feel like Rachel
[00:46:51] might be out here risking it all
[00:46:53] for the million and I don't think people
[00:46:55] would see it coming I love that I'm saying
[00:46:57] that as like a very positive thing
[00:46:59] no and I feel like
[00:47:01] when you play when you're like when you play
[00:47:03] you've been through some things like you do
[00:47:04] really value the money like people like she may
[00:47:07] give up the I'm not
[00:47:09] out here like she gets very wholesome and like
[00:47:11] vibey but she's she not
[00:47:13] may not tell him I'm out here for the money but you can
[00:47:15] tell her mentality is I'm out here for the money
[00:47:17] I mean you know check maybe
[00:47:19] check you know and that's not like
[00:47:21] I feel like that's a good thing in the era where you want
[00:47:23] to present one way but have another way
[00:47:25] but underneath so I think she's in a good
[00:47:27] position as long as she can make it past
[00:47:29] the early part again
[00:47:31] when she was asked what player
[00:47:33] she identifies with the most
[00:47:35] or who she'd like to play like
[00:47:37] she said Kellan Beck told shout out to
[00:47:39] Island Kellan
[00:47:41] Kellan was a player for real
[00:47:43] right her
[00:47:44] you know and it wasn't the greatest or whatever
[00:47:47] but Kellan was a player and she also
[00:47:49] said Omar Omar
[00:47:51] two players yeah
[00:47:53] I like that
[00:47:56] yeah so
[00:47:57] shall we continue
[00:47:59] let's go
[00:48:00] next up we have John Loveit
[00:48:02] 42 years old Long Island New York
[00:48:05] lives in LA California
[00:48:07] he's a podcast host
[00:48:09] I believe I believe I follow
[00:48:11] his pod even though I haven't listened to it
[00:48:13] but I think it's one of the most popular pods
[00:48:15] in the country
[00:48:16] Pod Save America
[00:48:18] and three words to describe you
[00:48:21] opinions for days
[00:48:23] hmm
[00:48:23] why do you want to be a survivor
[00:48:25] what I love about survivor is
[00:48:27] yeah it's about deprivation and endurance
[00:48:29] and puzzles and challenges
[00:48:31] but at its root it's an experiment
[00:48:34] in democracy
[00:48:35] it ends in a vote and the players decide
[00:48:38] what it means to earn that vote
[00:48:39] I want to be a part of that experiment
[00:48:42] hmm
[00:48:44] is he alright here's the question
[00:48:46] are you threatened if you're playing
[00:48:48] with him
[00:48:50] yes
[00:48:51] right so you're threatened by playing
[00:48:53] absolutely
[00:48:55] what's threatening
[00:48:56] I mean I just feel like
[00:48:58] I don't know enough about John
[00:49:01] but from my perspective
[00:49:03] from what I see I would be threatened
[00:49:05] by him I feel like
[00:49:11] it's
[00:49:12] America he's a white man
[00:49:13] like you know like there are things
[00:49:15] that like I
[00:49:16] I'm not gonna say in everyday life
[00:49:18] that I like you know
[00:49:18] but this is maybe interesting right
[00:49:21] because on the island we typically don't talk
[00:49:23] about politics a lot
[00:49:24] so like this is like
[00:49:26] this may be an interesting dynamic
[00:49:28] that may get added to
[00:49:30] survivor which hasn't really been there
[00:49:32] which could be an interesting thing
[00:49:34] where you have these conversations
[00:49:36] where people aren't saying oh yeah
[00:49:38] I'm a you know congressperson
[00:49:40] or I'm if you're in my job is
[00:49:41] I have a and I can't lie about it
[00:49:43] I'm talking about political stuff
[00:49:45] right then that's why can't you lie
[00:49:47] about it
[00:49:49] I feel like at some point if you lie
[00:49:51] when you are part of the largest podcast
[00:49:54] we'll get to another podcaster
[00:49:55] that's coming up soon but like you can't
[00:49:57] like lie I'm not doing that's not me
[00:49:59] because like what someone sees that
[00:50:01] is kind of just like like window can't
[00:50:03] go into the go and say no I'm not on
[00:50:05] survivor or right you can't go on
[00:50:07] you know anonymous next year
[00:50:09] and be like I don't know who I am
[00:50:11] like you can't do this I'm pretty sure I could
[00:50:13] I'm pretty sure
[00:50:17] say that
[00:50:17] so I think it's an interesting dynamic
[00:50:21] that it may bring because these are doing
[00:50:22] podcasts about you know voting and democracy
[00:50:25] you may see conversations
[00:50:27] or we may have conversation on the beach
[00:50:28] that we didn't have because no one was like
[00:50:31] yo you no one had those conversations
[00:50:33] you ain't what to
[00:50:35] do I know who John love it
[00:50:37] yeah no I have not listened to him or anything
[00:50:39] I don't know anything about it
[00:50:40] I know he has a podcast he wants it to
[00:50:42] so and I know this is first look
[00:50:44] and it's off of you know a brief thing
[00:50:46] but I listened to too many pods
[00:50:48] I was listening to our buddies at the survivor specialists
[00:50:51] and they said that
[00:50:52] love it he's very very very liberal
[00:50:57] and I don't think he
[00:50:58] from my perspective I don't think he will
[00:51:01] be able to not talk politics out there
[00:51:03] but we'll see
[00:51:04] and apparently
[00:51:05] he's an Obama
[00:51:07] speechwriter
[00:51:09] on the level where he can
[00:51:12] message Obama like hey
[00:51:13] you messed up this part of the speech
[00:51:15] or hey you skipped this part of the speech so
[00:51:18] I feel like putting
[00:51:19] this person on survivor
[00:51:20] I would like for John to be so self-aware
[00:51:25] because if I could text
[00:51:27] Obama man y'all can't tell me nothing
[00:51:29] so I want
[00:51:31] him to be so socially aware
[00:51:33] that he curbs
[00:51:35] any of that or in for this guy
[00:51:37] to be so accomplished that's what I want
[00:51:39] can you imagine him getting
[00:51:41] to the end
[00:51:43] and his
[00:51:44] at this point I want John to get to the end
[00:51:47] and I want to hear his speech
[00:51:49] I would take John to the end
[00:51:51] that's a player I'll go to the end with
[00:51:53] John he already rich
[00:51:55] yo give me the money he got bread
[00:51:57] he cool like me more he was annoying y'all
[00:52:00] like I'll take a rich in the end yo
[00:52:01] you wouldn't know that from just
[00:52:03] a first look also from a first look
[00:52:06] you know who he reminds me of a little bit
[00:52:07] I get a little Mike White
[00:52:10] oh Mike White
[00:52:11] and Mike and Mike and
[00:52:13] I don't know what y'all remember about
[00:52:16] Mike White
[00:52:16] other than his hilarious like
[00:52:19] and six on the island
[00:52:20] Mike White went far
[00:52:23] and Mike White had connections
[00:52:26] and Mike White
[00:52:27] was a big name people
[00:52:29] you that's what I'm saying like
[00:52:31] you want to connect with him like are you voting
[00:52:34] him out in the beginning or you building connections
[00:52:35] what are you doing would you align with him
[00:52:39] Brandon first look
[00:52:41] on the island
[00:52:44] ah baby
[00:52:46] I
[00:52:47] I'd align with him until I realize
[00:52:49] how you
[00:52:51] yeah but
[00:52:52] but you can't say that window
[00:52:55] yes you can and when
[00:52:57] you realize how good he is it's too late
[00:53:00] no James
[00:53:02] yo
[00:53:04] he's going to say who he is
[00:53:05] what he does you have to make that decision
[00:53:07] as a player am I am I down to play
[00:53:09] with a player like this or I don't
[00:53:11] and if you are then it's like
[00:53:13] you want to have someone like that in
[00:53:15] front of you that that is a big name
[00:53:17] that you can always point to oh we can't let
[00:53:19] him get to the end that somebody you kind
[00:53:21] of want to play with and if you are comfortable
[00:53:23] going against them it's a good highlight ahead
[00:53:25] so I think he's a different type of shield
[00:53:27] where he's a he's
[00:53:29] very popular don't go to the end type shield
[00:53:31] possibly like that you
[00:53:33] can play with that you know people may
[00:53:35] want to grab it towards or you also can
[00:53:37] be that I don't people don't want to vote him out
[00:53:39] and they vote you all type shield so you
[00:53:41] you don't know how I was going to go but
[00:53:43] I personally probably would want
[00:53:45] to align with somebody and I feel
[00:53:47] people don't want to send in with
[00:53:49] and that you can pull out things like he
[00:53:51] writes pieces like it's gonna be
[00:53:53] covered in the high but he's not going to
[00:53:55] pull that out though like in what world
[00:53:57] would he be like hey oh
[00:53:58] I was fixing the mic bro
[00:54:01] he has one of the top 10 podcasts
[00:54:03] in the freaking country
[00:54:05] podcast is audio people might
[00:54:07] not I think that I don't think people
[00:54:09] are going to recognize him
[00:54:10] you recognize John Rocker people
[00:54:13] recognize lesser people like
[00:54:15] you know like it's
[00:54:17] then again John Rocker can't
[00:54:19] hide that he's John Rocker
[00:54:21] I mean he can't hide this
[00:54:23] in America I knew he was and I never
[00:54:25] saw his podcast
[00:54:27] James I just know if we didn't have his name
[00:54:29] and write his thing and I showed you three of our
[00:54:30] photos you wouldn't I would've known
[00:54:32] he was and in that case
[00:54:35] maybe hide your
[00:54:38] identity a little bit
[00:54:40] yo could you go on survival with a fake name
[00:54:42] yes
[00:54:45] like if I went on there it's like
[00:54:47] no dog
[00:54:52] alright
[00:54:52] my bad I may be violating the first look
[00:54:54] Johnny Fairplay said
[00:54:57] his grandmother died
[00:54:59] why could you
[00:55:01] you could go out there and say whatever name you wanted
[00:55:03] that's what I'm going to do next time
[00:55:04] I'm going to try that
[00:55:05] but you already played James
[00:55:08] don't fake that a word
[00:55:11] James will be on 50 like
[00:55:14] how about
[00:55:14] my name you know you like
[00:55:17] my name change
[00:55:17] my name is Jesse
[00:55:19] I am Jesse Lopez
[00:55:21] please
[00:55:22] if you want to
[00:55:25] alright Jesse Lopez is crazy
[00:55:28] your name is Bryce
[00:55:31] that might work
[00:55:34] next up we have
[00:55:36] Genevieve Musheluck
[00:55:40] Musheluck
[00:55:41] okay she is
[00:55:43] 33 years old from Winnipeg
[00:55:45] Manitoba that's Canada
[00:55:47] I believe she's a corporate lawyer
[00:55:49] energetic friendly and organized
[00:55:51] I began watching the show
[00:55:53] when I was a preteen
[00:55:54] and even back then I had this
[00:55:56] unearned sense of confidence like
[00:55:58] I could do that I got older
[00:56:00] but never lost that belief so here I am
[00:56:03] to test out and challenge myself
[00:56:04] and prove myself
[00:56:08] favorite hobbies
[00:56:09] am I too old to say video games here
[00:56:12] aside from that I like anything social
[00:56:14] time with family or friends
[00:56:16] I also love trying to cook any
[00:56:18] recipe I see on instagram
[00:56:20] that involves a cheese pull
[00:56:22] James what's a cheese pull
[00:56:24] yo that's a very good question
[00:56:25] I actually don't have any idea
[00:56:27] Brandon
[00:56:30] like say you got a grilled cheese
[00:56:32] and you cut that joint
[00:56:33] Brandon why
[00:56:37] what if it's a mozzarella stick
[00:56:40] how would
[00:56:44] same thing
[00:56:49] he's from Canada
[00:56:50] so it's an automatic threat
[00:56:53] like
[00:56:53] I would vote out Canadians first
[00:56:56] I don't got no time for you making this
[00:56:58] an integral part
[00:56:59] you gotta go
[00:57:02] yeah like you gotta go
[00:57:04] she should come out
[00:57:05] she looks
[00:57:10] like
[00:57:11] is someone saying internet
[00:57:12] oh we're here
[00:57:13] she looks like she can go out there
[00:57:15] and not say she's a lawyer
[00:57:16] she looks like she can say I'm a yoga instructor
[00:57:19] or something like that
[00:57:21] she's dangerous
[00:57:22] she's smart
[00:57:24] she's been through things
[00:57:26] I feel like people can come to her
[00:57:29] and having experience
[00:57:31] I think just having a different
[00:57:32] vantage point by being in Canada
[00:57:34] it's like a different, I think you just view things
[00:57:37] differently, you communicate differently
[00:57:38] I feel like it's just less threatening
[00:57:40] overall from a personality standpoint
[00:57:43] that she's going to bring to the table
[00:57:44] big smile, good energy
[00:57:46] is kind of like is that somebody you want to play with
[00:57:48] yes is that somebody I think I may be
[00:57:50] able to be
[00:57:51] whatever she said the progression is
[00:57:54] teacher whatever it is
[00:57:55] I may be able to be there and not play with her
[00:57:57] she's not somebody that you're looking at probably like yeah I have no chance to get this person
[00:58:01] I think she's dangerous
[00:58:03] why will you be
[00:58:04] the sole survivor
[00:58:05] I connect easily with others so they won't hate living with me
[00:58:08] and I'm very objective
[00:58:10] focused out here
[00:58:11] nothing, no bond
[00:58:13] deal, fear, relationship
[00:58:15] will stop me from doing what I think needs to be done
[00:58:18] to further my game
[00:58:19] killer instinct vibes in Fiji for me
[00:58:23] see that's that Mary Ann right there
[00:58:26] it was like we're huge don't think they
[00:58:28] cut your throat and they'll be like oh yeah
[00:58:31] so there you go
[00:58:33] keeping on topic what with first look
[00:58:36] we are offering advice
[00:58:38] based on the information
[00:58:40] and our first look on them so what is
[00:58:42] your advice James to a player
[00:58:43] that is from the north as saying that gives
[00:58:46] you Mary Ann vibes
[00:58:47] I just say this let people like you
[00:58:50] like just let the chips fall
[00:58:51] I feel like sometimes people want to put their imprint
[00:58:54] on the game and I think
[00:58:56] sometimes it may be better
[00:58:58] just to not put your imprint on the game
[00:58:59] and be able to take that back seat and I think that's hard
[00:59:01] as a player like I feel like
[00:59:03] there's going to be times in the game where she
[00:59:05] want to want to make a move because you have
[00:59:07] information and it may be best not
[00:59:09] to make a move I think that is
[00:59:11] you know for the betterment of your game
[00:59:14] so that's kind of what I would think
[00:59:15] from an advice standpoint will be for her
[00:59:18] I like that
[00:59:19] I uh she has a
[00:59:21] I kind of agree with you right just looking at this photo
[00:59:23] she has a strong aura about her right
[00:59:25] I think that people are going to
[00:59:27] gravitate to her she's from the north
[00:59:30] and we know
[00:59:31] Canadians do
[00:59:33] extremely well
[00:59:34] uh if
[00:59:36] taking in James advice that's probably one place
[00:59:38] that's where I would start the lie
[00:59:40] yeah I'm from Maine I wouldn't even see
[00:59:42] I wouldn't even say Canada
[00:59:44] uh and yeah I think it's like really
[00:59:46] like let the people come to you because I don't
[00:59:48] think that she's going to have a problem connecting
[00:59:50] with people for me it's like let them come
[00:59:52] to you I feel like with the
[00:59:54] strong aura that I'm getting I don't
[00:59:56] think that you need to sway
[00:59:58] and go with the votes I think that you
[01:00:00] need to kind of just be with them
[01:00:02] and roll with them
[01:00:04] because I feel like you'll be able to come out on top
[01:00:06] and I always James always says
[01:00:08] it's like I think
[01:00:10] not even so much in the new era people are always
[01:00:12] worrying about their resume
[01:00:14] uh and yes that is good
[01:00:16] but what's the point of worrying about your
[01:00:18] resume and you're not sitting at the end
[01:00:20] worry about your resume that final night
[01:00:22] and I think that that she
[01:00:24] she possesses that so I like
[01:00:26] her I think
[01:00:28] um she I'm out I'm kind of getting
[01:00:30] kind of좋
[01:00:30] same thing I'm getting
[01:00:36] kind of
[01:00:36] yeah yeah and and she's
[01:00:40] I think if she can uh
[01:00:42] I think if she can minimize her being a Canadian
[01:00:44] like you said the Canadians got
[01:00:46] the winter during a tomb and if she
[01:00:48] can uh just minimize like
[01:00:49] how smart she probably
[01:00:51] is like just you know curbed
[01:00:54] that and and be this
[01:00:55] free-flawing kind of person, I think she could be dangerous in this game.
[01:01:01] Like Mary is a freaking genius almost like, you know, like how much stuff she knows versus
[01:01:06] like the perception. So it's like being able to do that is and you can make your resume up.
[01:01:11] No one checks resumes. That's why they work at Final Travel Council. You make your resume
[01:01:15] up and make a good one when you're there. That's all you gotta do. Make it good resume up.
[01:01:20] Your employer isn't looking at it. They're not fan checking. They're not calling your old boss.
[01:01:23] She knows. I saw the other day that had me cracking up and it was like, if y'all don't
[01:01:30] got no job, it's your own fault. They was like, you should be putting, you were the GM,
[01:01:36] you were in charge of marketing sales exec for Toys R Us, Circus City and Radio Shack. How they
[01:01:53] got next, Wendy. Next we have Gabe Ortiz. Gabe is 26 from Baltimore, Maryland. He still lives in
[01:02:00] Baltimore. He's a radio show host. Three words to describe James. Uh-oh. I'm sorry. I just clicked
[01:02:07] off of it. His name, he's going out there as James or Gabe? No, Gabe. All right, my bad.
[01:02:15] Three words to describe you opportunistic, resourceful and blunt. Be careful now to
[01:02:21] curb that bluntness out there, my man. Why do you want to be part of survivor? The new era opened a door
[01:02:27] to write yourself into a new set of history books. I like that. I wanted to make my mark before those
[01:02:33] books got written. Okay. I like Gabe. He gives me little Caleb vibes. If Caleb had a twin,
[01:02:43] I think Gabe could potentially be like the evil twin of Caleb and I say that in a good way because
[01:02:50] what was, what was Caleb's biggest issue? He was too likable. Yeah. Too likable. Yeah. And so maybe
[01:02:58] Gabe has that bluntness about him that actually might make people not like him as much as Caleb.
[01:03:06] And so he has a positive aura around him. So I, I like Gabe. I think, you know what, Gabe?
[01:03:12] Come out there and be yourself. You know what? Let's roll the dice. That's my advice to you.
[01:03:16] Right show history. Yeah. I think, I think it was from a vice standpoint, I think it would be maybe to
[01:03:24] tone down the, to tone down the wanting to make a partner history. So I feel like he may be just
[01:03:30] saying you may find yourself in a good place. Sometimes you just fall into a good place
[01:03:33] in your tribe and like everything is working. But then that hard part about survivors, I want
[01:03:37] to do something. And it's like, I think that may be something that Gabe struggles with. So I
[01:03:43] think that may be a thing, but I think he's in a good position. He looks like someone that, you
[01:03:48] know, radio host, they understand people, they can deal with different things, you know, different,
[01:03:53] different. I feel like that's a good place to be interacting with people and that'll put them
[01:03:58] in a good situation and just kind of letting the game come to him and picking a choose when
[01:04:02] he tries to make that move. I'm not going to go ahead, Bryce. I have a question about
[01:04:09] your advice, James. So you said don't go into it wanting to play like you're writing history.
[01:04:17] I'm saying you want to make the moves that are best for you to win the game. So like if people
[01:04:21] are coming to you and you're in the knowledge, you're in the note, right? You're in the power
[01:04:26] position, right? You want to like, I think you want to make sure other people feel like
[01:04:30] they have agency in the game because people are coming out there to make moves, right?
[01:04:34] So it's perceived that you're making all the moves too? Like other people want to eat.
[01:04:40] They want to they want to feel like you saw Tevin and Liz, you took my move. Oh, that's my move.
[01:04:45] You want to make sure that you are doling out the juice nowadays. You don't want to take all
[01:04:51] the juice. You don't want to be the because like you make that history writer move who's
[01:04:55] going to want to see next to you at the end. There's no Tony Wu thing happening here
[01:05:00] anymore. Survivor, you make that big move early. It's tough to make it to the end. It just is.
[01:05:08] I think I'm a little scared for Gabe, guys. He says he's blunt, right? And then
[01:05:16] okay, but also which previous player do you identify with the most? Who do you think
[01:05:21] you'll play with? I think there are bits of a lot of players I resonate with and will
[01:05:26] emulate. But to be honest, I don't want people to watch me and say, wow, he's like XZ. It says XZY.
[01:05:33] Wow, he's like XZY. I want people to look at players that come after me and be like, wow,
[01:05:38] he's like Gabriel. This is giving Matt vibes. I'm like, I wonder how much of a fan Gabriel is.
[01:05:56] I think it reminds me of somebody that Brandon played with.
[01:06:01] No, Matt was a super fan though.
[01:06:11] I don't know how much survivor he's watched.
[01:06:16] That's an advantage. Look at Cody.
[01:06:18] I don't think that's a bad thing though. I don't think it's right.
[01:06:23] I think when you come into the game trying to play like somebody else, you're all the
[01:06:29] might be thinking like, oh, how am I going to react to a situation or how would they do that?
[01:06:33] Whereas if you don't know anything about the game you're coming in like, all right,
[01:06:36] well, this is how I'm going to deal with this situation regardless of whatever,
[01:06:39] who came before me is going to do it. So I don't think it's a bad thing.
[01:06:45] I don't know. Listen, listen, let me get my button. Let me get my button.
[01:06:51] I do think there are situations and there are certain nuances to the game
[01:06:59] where having a prior knowledge of it is going to help you not make the same mistakes because
[01:07:04] there are a lot of very surface level mistakes that you'll make if you've never watched this
[01:07:08] game and not even think that you're making that mistake. You know what I mean?
[01:07:12] Like you're, you don't come back and flip stuff. Like there are certain things that are hard.
[01:07:19] Look back and flip stuff. Yeah.
[01:07:22] No, no, what I'm saying is, I agree with Brandon that like, all right,
[01:07:26] there are things that you just, you know from watching the game that like there are
[01:07:29] things like these because I've watched so much of the game, I know to do or to not move certain
[01:07:35] ways. Well, even like small things like when you first get the camp, you know, you don't go and
[01:07:39] look for an idol day one. You don't do certain things. Like you don't, you know what I mean?
[01:07:43] You don't, when it comes to food, you don't divvy the food out or eat all the stuff. Like
[01:07:47] there's little things like that. There's certain things you know, watching people in the past
[01:07:51] who have made these mistakes and you're playing with people who play this, they know this game.
[01:07:56] So they're automatically thinking, all right, what am I red flag? We're in a situation where
[01:08:00] I'm looking for whatever I can to get them out of here. So if they don't even know what
[01:08:03] they're doing, something wrong, but everybody else around them does, you have to have that
[01:08:07] awareness to know, all right, I can't put myself in this situation because it's been the downfall
[01:08:12] of XYZ or whoever else before me. You know what I mean? So I think it can play either way.
[01:08:20] I agree with Brandon. I also feel like hearing all of this stuff about Gabe, dare I say,
[01:08:29] am I Alicia Keys falling? I don't know. I don't know if I need to like let Austin know anything yet,
[01:08:36] but I don't know hearing this like, you know, I want, you know, I want me somebody that say I'm
[01:08:41] going to beat to the own drum of my name. I want somebody to say I don't want to play like
[01:08:47] nobody else. I want people to play like me. That kind of like, that turns you on.
[01:08:53] That moistens the butchers a little bit. I just say, I don't know. But here's my thing
[01:09:02] which you gave though, right? Gabe, if you know, if you come to my house, we have a barbecue
[01:09:10] and the electric slide comes on. I'm going to need for you to do the electric slide.
[01:09:18] I don't need for you to be breakdancing while the family is doing the electric slide
[01:09:22] because we're going to look at you crazy. So that's where I work because Gabe said he
[01:09:27] don't want to play like nobody else. He wants to play his own game. And what I'm saying is when
[01:09:31] the electric slide comes on, Gabe, you do the electric slide. You don't hit him with that.
[01:09:39] You know, you know, you, you, you do the electric slide. So I'm kind of agreeing with
[01:09:44] you, Brandon. All right. That's okay. Good luck. You're in Baltimore. We're all in Philly.
[01:09:51] So, you know, pull up all right. Punch him in the throat. Now we're going to meet you again.
[01:09:57] Good luck. Well, okay. You know what? Our next little soon, that's a little soon.
[01:10:03] Our next person is Kyle Oswald, 31 from Shaboygan, Michigan. Construction worker, fun, ambitious,
[01:10:12] creative. I want to be part of Survivor to help inspire my children to chain,
[01:10:19] to change, to chase their wildest dreams. I want to share some of my challenges in life to show others
[01:10:25] that just because life knocks you down, it doesn't mean that you're not worthy of a journey.
[01:10:30] That happens more than we like, but it's not about the knockdown. It's about
[01:10:34] how we choose to get back up no matter how hard it is. Because every single time you get back
[01:10:39] up, you end up a little taller and a little better than before. I like that. I like that
[01:10:44] a lot and Kyle seems tall. So I feel like he might have been knocked down a little bit
[01:10:49] in his life because he is a lot taller. I get a Jeremiah from my season. I get a Hunter
[01:10:56] from last season. I get a Jalinsky. I get a Jesse Lopez. I get a lot from Kyle. I feel like
[01:11:07] Kyle gives me quirky, funny, but don't sleep on them. I get Kyle might be able to play a idol.
[01:11:15] He could change your oil and he could win Soul Survivor. I like Kyle a lot. My advice to Kyle
[01:11:22] would be like you, it seems like you lived a deep long life and I think that you have enough
[01:11:29] experience to like, I want you to go out there and be yourself. I like Kyle.
[01:11:33] I like Kyle too. I thought Jesse, I was scared of Jesse. People with kids and stuff and good
[01:11:40] stories scare me. But I don't think he's going to be really super. I think he's going to be like
[01:11:46] Jesse with the Cody unassuming us. So you have Jesse with the ability to, I got kids,
[01:11:53] I'm homely, I'm a good person. Then you have the Cody. He looks like he's pretty athletic.
[01:11:58] He's handy so you can build like he could be good around camp. So I feel like he can be that
[01:12:03] person in the middle where you're like, Hey, I'm your guy. I'm a nice guy. I got family. I got kids.
[01:12:10] I'm trying to set an example. But Jesse set an example by cutting Cody through that six.
[01:12:15] So I mean, it just those are the people. So I feel like my advice to him would be to,
[01:12:21] I think it's similar to, I feel like he's not going to probably connect with people.
[01:12:25] It's just hoping that when he does, will people out making sure hopefully he keeps that good
[01:12:29] feeling where people don't feel betrayed almost like when the, when the mom gets the backlash for
[01:12:35] the older person is the backlash rolling out. I feel like he's someone that's going to get
[01:12:38] that everybody's going to relate. So hopefully that he doesn't get that backlash when he goes
[01:12:42] people out. I want to add a couple more things about our friend here. He lived in a van
[01:12:48] traveling around the country for six years that he personally built, which is something. Wow.
[01:12:55] They came home. He lit. He got you. Hey, he does.
[01:13:00] He does. What? He resembles a little bit of Scooby-Doo now that you say he lived in a van.
[01:13:07] Just a little bit. You don't leave him alone. He also has hobbies. He loves to travel.
[01:13:17] He is his biggest accomplishment building my family a house by myself with minimum to no
[01:13:24] help from anybody. Wow. Yo, it can't go be live. I'm excited. I hope they show it. Hit by be crazy.
[01:13:34] He but this guy, it's this guy, I think he has a lot in him and he has a lot that he's playing
[01:13:40] for his family. He really loves his family. It's like he almost has the Rocky story when
[01:13:44] he says you get knocked down, you keep fighting, you keep going, you keep up.
[01:13:48] I'll be the sole survivor because I'm pouring every ounce of heart and soul into this game.
[01:13:53] I play for myself. I play it for my family. Yeah, this guy is Jeremy Collins type player.
[01:14:05] Don't let him get to the end. But when James talks about threat level,
[01:14:20] I think so. I think the biggest question with him that I would have would be,
[01:14:26] all right, he has a likable personality. When you first see him, the first person I
[01:14:30] thought was Hunter, he reminds me of somebody like that who is going to be great around Ken.
[01:14:35] He's going to be pretty good in these challenges. My thing is I wonder how much
[01:14:40] what his social game is really going to be like because we can put a lot into the story.
[01:14:45] The story is a big part of it, but at the same time, you still have to play the game.
[01:14:48] That's where I think my question would be was how does he play the game?
[01:14:53] As far as his actual gameplay, what is that going to be like? Because it can't all be about
[01:14:58] this is my story. I have kids, I got this, I do that. At the end of the day,
[01:15:02] you still got to play the game. I think that's my biggest question mark with him. Now,
[01:15:06] I think if he can put that together, I think he's going to be super dangerous.
[01:15:10] Because like I said, I think everybody's going to like him. I think he's going to be
[01:15:13] great around camp. He's probably going to build some wild shelter that we might not
[01:15:18] have ever seen before. Something crazy like that and people are going to love that.
[01:15:22] But at the same time, how is his social game going to do with other people?
[01:15:26] I think that's my biggest question about him. But I'm excited to see how he plays.
[01:15:30] I think he's going to do well, especially up into the merge.
[01:15:34] Amen. I would love to have him as my number two or someone on my team where
[01:15:38] if I have a partner, you can kind of paint them as a little bit of a target. You don't want to
[01:15:42] next to them. And he's a good person. I think you're going to get information from him.
[01:15:46] Because I think one of the things, I think he just, I think he gets very unassuming.
[01:15:49] And I think, you know, lay back, smile, like those. Yeah. Father, all that good stuff.
[01:15:55] Would you say that's going to be at the end, James?
[01:15:58] I mean, I think it could be anybody then when I get there. You got to make up a lot.
[01:16:02] All you got to do is make it up your resume.
[01:16:05] No, no, no, no.
[01:16:09] You got to sell your story. Like, no, you got to tell your story, bro.
[01:16:13] James, what was the last time you were at the end?
[01:16:18] It's not just James. You don't want to sit next to a wrong person at the end, brother.
[01:16:24] Well, what is your talent at the end on 40, Wendell?
[01:16:28] I said, Michelle, good luck.
[01:16:32] Yeah.
[01:16:34] I think by the nature of a game, you're going to make moves.
[01:16:37] But I think it's how you frame your moves at the end.
[01:16:39] It's like how you frame a vote and it resonates with the people in the jury.
[01:16:42] They be like, that's true.
[01:16:44] Like, you know, so you can do things subtly to dominate the game
[01:16:47] and not necessarily get all the quote unquote credit.
[01:16:51] Like that's how like when James was playing this game, everybody was like, oh, shit.
[01:16:54] Yeah. Well, he's in the middle there. He's in the middle of there.
[01:16:57] I'm assuming that's kind of like he was doing a lot more than I thought he was
[01:17:00] playing that he was doing as opposed to being the quote unquote, you know, I did this.
[01:17:05] Damn. Like that's that's super old school.
[01:17:08] Like they're not like who you sit next to.
[01:17:11] It's true. My advice to Kyle though is play like Jeremy Collins played the second time.
[01:17:16] Don't make your whole storyline about your family.
[01:17:19] Make it about your family at the end.
[01:17:22] Have people be like, oh, Val's home pregnant.
[01:17:25] Like, you know, don't that that's my one advice to him is like,
[01:17:28] as much as you love your family, try to hold back from making that such a huge
[01:17:33] part of your game. Talk about it in your confessionals, but not at tribe because
[01:17:37] that's something that again, all of these things that we're saying about you, we love
[01:17:41] and that builds a huge target like, well, damn, he can build stuff.
[01:17:46] Well, damn, he funny.
[01:17:47] Well, damn, he won't change my carburetor when we get out of here.
[01:17:50] Well, damn, he got kids like it's going to be so much stuff.
[01:17:53] So that that would be my one advice for him.
[01:17:55] And who we got next.
[01:18:02] Next, we have Koshan Patel, 28 from Fullerton, California, lives in San Francisco,
[01:18:07] California and ER doctor.
[01:18:09] Oh, nurturing, composed and adorable.
[01:18:13] I've been playing some form of survivor for as long as I can remember, whether it was
[01:18:17] knowing who to trust as a closeted gay Indian American and waiting for the right moment
[01:18:22] to share my secret to experiencing the hustle as a child of immigrant parents
[01:18:27] raised in our family owned liquor store.
[01:18:31] Survivors, the most chaotic, beautiful complex reflection of individual of each individual
[01:18:35] identity. And I want to show that every story deserves to be shared and heard.
[01:18:40] Plus it's obviously fun.
[01:18:42] I'm excited for Koshan's story to be told.
[01:18:46] I'm sorry.
[01:18:47] Did you say ER doctor?
[01:18:51] What are you coming there?
[01:18:57] Yeah.
[01:18:58] We say.
[01:19:01] Thank you for reading his bio.
[01:19:03] I feel like the liquor store thing is like we're I feel like being able to navigate people
[01:19:09] see different situations.
[01:19:12] I feel like I feel like he's somebody that everybody is going to to like, but the question is
[01:19:19] corporate.
[01:19:20] Like, I think it's going to be like, is he going to be able to
[01:19:24] How is he physically going to stack up with the taller guy?
[01:19:27] He's like a bigger guy.
[01:19:29] Kenny, is he going to get in there and be a physical physical being able to help?
[01:19:32] You know, why would you?
[01:19:33] Why would you assume that he wouldn't be physical though?
[01:19:35] Because I get physical from him.
[01:19:38] What I'm saying is look at it.
[01:19:40] When you are a bigger person, you have expectations to be exceedingly well in
[01:19:45] the challenge where you're when you like if you're a smaller person, no one was
[01:19:49] mad when Gio dropped the box is like, it's Gio.
[01:19:52] He's not going to carry a box.
[01:19:54] But if you are a bigger person and you drop a box, people are like,
[01:19:57] what is wrong with you?
[01:19:59] So it's different perceptions people go into like it's great.
[01:20:01] Like when when bringing it passed out, they need to bring it up.
[01:20:04] You know what I'm saying?
[01:20:04] We were like, yo, what is this guy bringing to the table?
[01:20:08] Yeah, it's like the same thing.
[01:20:11] So it's something kind of fit into those archaeotypes if you if you that
[01:20:16] may not be your strong suit.
[01:20:18] So I also want to disagree with you a little bit like and no disrespect to Dr.
[01:20:24] Patel, but Dr. Patel is tall.
[01:20:26] But like I don't like he's thin built right?
[01:20:29] Like I wouldn't expect if I saw him in a brand and like I would expect Brandon
[01:20:33] to be able to pick up a lot.
[01:20:34] Like I don't know.
[01:20:35] Like I don't I agree with what you're saying, but I feel like Dr.
[01:20:39] Patel is tall.
[01:20:42] I feel like he's handsome.
[01:20:44] I feel like he's charismatic.
[01:20:46] I feel like, you know, I feel like if I'm feeling like Brandon out there
[01:20:52] on his season and I right so big injury out there.
[01:20:56] He's the ER doctor.
[01:20:58] Right.
[01:20:58] So big right right out there.
[01:20:59] Be fast.
[01:21:00] I mean, Dr. Patel, I can't breathe.
[01:21:09] I love his story.
[01:21:11] And I think that again, him being a ER doctor,
[01:21:15] him being in the closet for a period of his life.
[01:21:18] I feel like he has a lot of things that he's ready to come out here and play
[01:21:23] and shine.
[01:21:25] And there I say maybe justice for Bhanu through Dr.
[01:21:30] Patel.
[01:21:30] Right.
[01:21:30] I feel like, you know, we, you know, Bhanu walked so that Dr.
[01:21:36] Patel could fly.
[01:21:38] I I'm getting winter vibes.
[01:21:40] I like Dr. Patel.
[01:21:44] I agree.
[01:21:47] All right.
[01:21:48] That's Bryce's part of the ER.
[01:21:50] I mean, it's like, I think he just seems so nice.
[01:21:53] Like you just seem like, I don't see people that's not getting along with them.
[01:21:57] Like, I don't see I don't see him being a person where people are like,
[01:21:59] yeah, you need to go home.
[01:22:02] He's a cool person.
[01:22:04] But didn't they tell you don't judge a book by his cover?
[01:22:07] If he's and he we do we judge.
[01:22:09] They always want to judge a book by cover though.
[01:22:11] Because I'm always going to say that.
[01:22:14] It's a whole matter, you know, the cover.
[01:22:15] Especially in the game of Survivor.
[01:22:17] You know, it's all covers, you know, like the second you second you walk into
[01:22:20] Ponderosa and just the sneakers you had on this, like, you know,
[01:22:23] J, your sneakers were crazy.
[01:22:25] I was like, people look at everything that you bring to the table.
[01:22:31] Speaking of that random question, right?
[01:22:35] Because you're right.
[01:22:36] People do judge a book by its cover.
[01:22:37] Do you feel like because we all left from LA, right?
[01:22:43] We were sequestered and they brought you down to the hotel lobby and then y'all left.
[01:22:47] Is that how it went for the majority of y'all?
[01:22:51] Do you think it's more helpful for you to be the first in the lobby
[01:22:54] or the last in the lobby?
[01:22:57] I'd say first.
[01:22:59] I don't think it matters.
[01:23:02] I think you're weird.
[01:23:04] Matters.
[01:23:04] Like, I feel like the stuff you like the energy you put out like
[01:23:08] you can feel energy.
[01:23:09] You can feel like people are doing stuff with their clothing.
[01:23:13] People do stuff with their water bottles.
[01:23:15] Like, there's a lot of things that go into it.
[01:23:18] And it's like the people that you feel that are the most like,
[01:23:21] I feel like he's the person that you like he went.
[01:23:23] He has to diffuse liquor store.
[01:23:25] He has to diffuse situations.
[01:23:26] And like, I feel like those type of people are like great folks
[01:23:29] where I can see him being a commie presence at camp.
[01:23:32] I can see him ER doctor.
[01:23:35] Someone cuts their foot.
[01:23:36] They can not stitch it.
[01:23:38] Like, I feel like, yeah, he's a dangerous player.
[01:23:40] But you could also apply that to challenges.
[01:23:42] Calm under pressure.
[01:23:43] You know, y'all could have been back far in the physical part.
[01:23:47] Y'all get to the puzzle.
[01:23:48] Dr. Patel is calm, focused, locked in.
[01:23:50] Like, you know, yeah, I mean, amen.
[01:23:54] And height always helps.
[01:23:55] I wonder what's the average height?
[01:23:56] Like, height is always a good thing
[01:23:57] and survivor challenges for the most part.
[01:23:59] And it always goes well.
[01:24:01] So I think you, yeah, I don't know.
[01:24:04] I don't know if I have any advice.
[01:24:05] I feel like he's in a good situation.
[01:24:07] Like, I feel like he's a player that like, you know,
[01:24:10] can just kind of cruise, not get too good with everybody.
[01:24:15] Will be the thing.
[01:24:16] Maybe, you know, keep somebody's relationship secret
[01:24:19] that he has that are really good.
[01:24:21] But no more secret.
[01:24:21] No, no.
[01:24:22] We, no more secret relationship with Dr. DePell.
[01:24:27] Okay. Let everybody know who your allies are.
[01:24:29] Okay. We here for you.
[01:24:31] Who's the next person we have?
[01:24:33] Next person.
[01:24:33] We have Sam Fallon.
[01:24:35] 24 years old from Schomburg, Illinois.
[01:24:38] I think that is close to Chicago if not in Chicago.
[01:24:41] Now he lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
[01:24:42] He's a sports reporter, passionate, stubborn, and ambitious,
[01:24:46] playing Survivors of Childhood Dream.
[01:24:48] I love both mental and physical competitions.
[01:24:51] Survivors, the greatest game ever created.
[01:24:53] And I need to prove that I have what it takes also a million dollars.
[01:24:57] Now, I want to just say briefly about Sam.
[01:25:01] I'm getting Sammy vibes.
[01:25:03] And I think regarding Sam, I think he's going to be one of these characters
[01:25:09] that people enjoy watching.
[01:25:12] He's going to be a fun character.
[01:25:13] He's going to bring something fun to the game.
[01:25:14] He's 24 years old.
[01:25:16] He's a sports reporter.
[01:25:17] He's comfortable on a camera.
[01:25:19] I think he's going to be someone fun to watch.
[01:25:22] I don't know if I get winter vibes,
[01:25:25] but I think I get fun to watch vibes.
[01:25:29] If he was from the city of Philadelphia and I was looking at him,
[01:25:32] I would be like, he's an Eagles fan.
[01:25:34] Right?
[01:25:34] Like I feel like I get sports from him.
[01:25:37] And from that, I feel like like an Eagles fan or a sports fan.
[01:25:41] You know, you ride hard for your team.
[01:25:43] And sometimes it's like we just made it into the playoffs through the wild car.
[01:25:49] I don't think we're going to the bowl, but they go hard anyway,
[01:25:52] because like I feel like we're going to have very high energy from Sam.
[01:25:55] And I think, yeah, he will be, I think he's going to go for the big moves.
[01:26:02] Yeah, that's what I was going to say.
[01:26:03] When I look at him, I think he's going to be like a cool person to talk to,
[01:26:06] but I think he's going to butt heads with the color people early on
[01:26:09] and not be scared to show it.
[01:26:11] Like you're especially coming out saying that you're stubborn.
[01:26:12] That was before you even said that I was like,
[01:26:14] he looks like somebody who's like, this is my way.
[01:26:18] This is what I feel.
[01:26:20] And whether you win or whether you're not,
[01:26:21] we're going to think I'm going to figure it out regardless.
[01:26:23] And that's kind of the vibe that I get in.
[01:26:25] And I think that might rub some people the wrong way.
[01:26:27] But I think either way, regardless, it's going to be fun television to watch.
[01:26:31] Yeah, I agree.
[01:26:32] I feel like also in the beginning, I feel like he looks like he's a physical guy,
[01:26:36] looks like a bigger guy.
[01:26:37] So in that case, typically with the challenge of being physical
[01:26:40] in the beginning of the game,
[01:26:41] you can exert some more power over the tribe.
[01:26:44] Like if that's something that your tribe is going for,
[01:26:47] but I think once you do that, I think that does sometimes limit you
[01:26:50] once you get to the murder, as far as are you building those authentic bonds with people
[01:26:55] or are people bonding with you because what you bring to the table strictly
[01:26:59] for the physical aspect of the game.
[01:27:02] So I think my advice to Sam is like, to find your people
[01:27:05] and to get your people to protect you
[01:27:08] and try to find some people that you're really low within your home tribe,
[01:27:12] that people want to go to the mattresses for you.
[01:27:16] And that's hard as a virus.
[01:27:17] People don't want to go to the mattresses.
[01:27:18] But you need some people when you're a bigger player
[01:27:21] that want to go to the mattresses for you.
[01:27:23] I feel like that's what he needs to do.
[01:27:25] Something we would never know.
[01:27:27] Oh, go ahead, Brandon.
[01:27:29] I'm going to say, I'll be honest, his first day at tire is extremely similar to mine.
[01:27:35] Like I was extremely similar.
[01:27:39] Not saying that's a good thing or a bad thing.
[01:27:41] Kate, are you saying you can see a diaper?
[01:27:44] Kate, you see it.
[01:27:44] Are we going to get the diaper part too?
[01:27:46] I don't think anybody would have.
[01:27:50] I think that's probably the state where it was at.
[01:27:52] That was not purposeful.
[01:27:54] But it was just funny when I first looked at him like that,
[01:27:57] he reminds me of myself.
[01:27:58] Not in what he's wearing.
[01:28:01] He reminds me of myself a little bit,
[01:28:02] which I think is a great thing.
[01:28:04] So I just think, you know.
[01:28:06] How do you do on 44, Brandon?
[01:28:11] I haven't seen in a long time.
[01:28:13] I don't know.
[01:28:14] I don't know.
[01:28:15] If you've seen it, let me know, please.
[01:28:20] But you made the merge though.
[01:28:22] I do what I had to do.
[01:28:24] Everyone in this chat made the merge, right?
[01:28:33] Is this the merge section of the conversation when we just talk about the merge?
[01:28:39] We have like merge talk and that's what we're going to have to do, merge talk section.
[01:28:44] Uh, listen, Survivor Philadelphia Season 4 is going to be coming up again.
[01:28:51] See me in Survivor Philadelphia, y'all.
[01:28:53] See me in Survivor Philadelphia, Brandon.
[01:28:55] They're going to vote you off first.
[01:28:56] You're not letting me get to the vote.
[01:28:58] See me in Survivor Philadelphia, James.
[01:29:00] I will get them to vote you off first, y'all.
[01:29:02] You're wasting it.
[01:29:03] See me in Survivor ORG, okay?
[01:29:05] One thing, well two things on our guy.
[01:29:11] Something we'd never know from looking at him.
[01:29:13] I did a lot of drama, musical theater and slam poetry growing up.
[01:29:18] I love the arts.
[01:29:19] I'm way smarter than I look.
[01:29:21] I can gel with any group of people and I love this part.
[01:29:26] I'm a physical, strategic and social force that will never be perceived
[01:29:29] as the strongest, smartest or loudest person in the room.
[01:29:34] You might see me coming.
[01:29:36] But you'll never see me going.
[01:29:39] Rice is a grain,
[01:29:41] but my soul is a growing.
[01:29:44] I want that idol, but I'm coming for the top.
[01:29:48] Don't ever count me out because it's not sweat or savvy
[01:29:52] because I'm holding up the rock.
[01:29:55] Oh, sale!
[01:29:57] Of course.
[01:29:58] I didn't know where he was going with all of that.
[01:30:00] I didn't like him.
[01:30:01] I mean, with that being said, I feel like he's the finest people.
[01:30:06] He needs to go, he needs to find his mattress people.
[01:30:08] He is going to be perceived as strong.
[01:30:09] I think it's one thing you can't do is,
[01:30:11] people will perceive you as what they want to perceive you as.
[01:30:14] And you're a sports reporter that is young 24,
[01:30:18] people want to be like, you are the young strong guy.
[01:30:20] Whether you want to believe it or not,
[01:30:22] whether you are not, it's just what people want to think.
[01:30:26] I almost get a little Owen vibes from him a little bit.
[01:30:28] Hearing all of that, I don't know.
[01:30:31] I think he's Sammy.
[01:30:34] Sammy plays this 24 and he may go to end the win.
[01:30:36] Like on like, you should be told.
[01:30:38] I feel like if he can get that beautiful thing
[01:30:40] and get somebody like, oh, I'm the young guy.
[01:30:42] Take me under your wing approach.
[01:30:45] You know, take me under your wing, you know,
[01:30:46] and then choose this time to make a move
[01:30:48] and keep us like ability factor.
[01:30:50] Thing about Sammy was because he was younger,
[01:30:52] he would do stuff that will bring people's trust
[01:30:54] and say, oh, I'm young and I'm good.
[01:30:56] So if you have that type of relationship, then you're good.
[01:30:59] I think if he fosters that, you know,
[01:31:01] but if he's the leader and he do stuff, it's kind of like,
[01:31:04] so I think it's kind of,
[01:31:05] in short, he figures out how people are perceiving him
[01:31:07] and kind of act accordingly versus how he perceives himself.
[01:31:12] All right, we'll have to see who do we have next.
[01:31:15] Next we have Andy Ruda from 31 years old
[01:31:19] from Buffalo, New York, lives in Brooklyn, New York.
[01:31:21] AI research assistant.
[01:31:23] Three words to describe you, frenetic, warm and creative.
[01:31:26] Why do you want to be part of Survivor?
[01:31:27] Playing Survivor has been a dream
[01:31:29] and a source of motivation for the last decade of my life.
[01:31:32] I don't think my life makes as much sense
[01:31:35] if it didn't include ultimately playing.
[01:31:37] I am so, so ready to scratch this itch
[01:31:40] and transition my role in this weird ecosystem
[01:31:44] from super fan to player.
[01:31:45] He's a super fan.
[01:31:47] We've seen him at Bryce and Wynne events.
[01:31:49] We know Andy very well.
[01:31:52] He gives me looking at him.
[01:31:54] I get Austin vibes a little bit.
[01:31:57] What else?
[01:31:59] Hobbies, Minesweeper, road trips,
[01:32:01] even though I can't drive
[01:32:03] and being a K-pop stan.
[01:32:06] Oh, come on, K-pop.
[01:32:08] Wait, do you say Minesweeper?
[01:32:11] Is that the game with the squares?
[01:32:13] Or is that the game with the little squares in the X?
[01:32:15] No, we always fail at.
[01:32:17] Speak for yourself.
[01:32:20] Does anybody know how to actually play that game?
[01:32:24] That's Andy.
[01:32:25] When the number comes in, the bomb is in three points.
[01:32:29] Three spaces away, right?
[01:32:31] Or two, yeah.
[01:32:32] I used to play.
[01:32:36] I like you.
[01:32:38] I don't know where you find that game to play though.
[01:32:40] I don't know where you're going to get that game now.
[01:32:45] It's not on PS5.
[01:32:46] Like, I don't know like that.
[01:32:47] All right.
[01:32:49] Well, if he's good at Minesweeper,
[01:32:51] he has to be good at something.
[01:32:52] I like Andy.
[01:32:53] I think his spirits are amazing.
[01:32:55] I think that he is a sweet guy.
[01:32:58] I think that he has what it takes.
[01:33:01] I am worried that he might not be able to...
[01:33:05] I don't want him to come off as the nice gullible,
[01:33:09] young, fun guy.
[01:33:11] Like, I want Andy to like mean business.
[01:33:13] So my advice to Andy is be yourself,
[01:33:17] but put your foot down
[01:33:19] and remember you're playing a game for one.
[01:33:22] Not for...
[01:33:22] Like, you know, you are playing a game for yourself,
[01:33:25] not everybody.
[01:33:26] I love Andy and I hope that goes far.
[01:33:28] I think the one thing...
[01:33:30] I mean, I felt like I was a super fan
[01:33:31] and saw I met super fans.
[01:33:33] Like, I felt like I was going into the show as super fan
[01:33:35] until I met super fans.
[01:33:37] And I think the one thing sometimes
[01:33:38] super fans really worry about is like
[01:33:41] doing things like from the perception of how fans watch the show
[01:33:45] and they're really worried about their perception
[01:33:47] of the ideal way they think they want to play the game
[01:33:50] versus how the game is going.
[01:33:52] So like, I know people get out there and are like,
[01:33:54] yeah, I want to play a certain way.
[01:33:55] I think that's how super fans operate.
[01:33:57] I think sometimes you have to be able to take back
[01:33:59] and figure out, okay, the game's not going the way I wanted to go.
[01:34:03] But how can I navigate the game that's happening
[01:34:05] because it's not the way I envisioned it?
[01:34:08] You know, because if you watch Survivor,
[01:34:09] you're like, I want to play like this.
[01:34:11] I want to play like that.
[01:34:11] As opposed to not having any advice,
[01:34:13] you're just playing the game.
[01:34:14] You know, you're not worried about I'm doing well.
[01:34:16] I'm not doing well.
[01:34:17] I'm just like, you're just...
[01:34:18] I'm out there experiencing
[01:34:19] when you're thinking about that outside stuff.
[01:34:21] So hopefully you can kind of take that out of it.
[01:34:24] Don't worry about I'm not making the right move here
[01:34:26] or how is this going to be perceived here
[01:34:28] and really just focus on the people
[01:34:31] and not worry about after that.
[01:34:39] Any advice, Brandon?
[01:34:42] No, I think he played the cards how they lie.
[01:34:46] Like James saying, don't overthink it.
[01:34:49] I mean, honestly, when I first looked at Andy,
[01:34:51] I think he looks like he's a fun guy.
[01:34:53] I think he probably has a good personality.
[01:34:55] I've never met him personally.
[01:34:57] But...
[01:34:58] You met him.
[01:35:00] Have I?
[01:35:01] Yes.
[01:35:02] Now, then I might have had a couple drinks.
[01:35:04] So...
[01:35:08] But...
[01:35:08] I think, you know...
[01:35:12] My advice to him is be yourself at the same time.
[01:35:14] Remember that again, you're playing and put your best foot forward.
[01:35:18] Do what you got to do.
[01:35:19] Don't overthink it like James said, especially the super fans.
[01:35:22] I think some people, they're so caught up on what they've seen
[01:35:25] or what they know or their knowledge of the game.
[01:35:28] But what you got to remember is that every game is different.
[01:35:31] Every moment is different
[01:35:32] and it's all pertinent to who you're there with
[01:35:34] and the personalities that you're around.
[01:35:36] So kind of find your peace in the puzzle and play your game.
[01:35:40] Can I say something?
[01:35:42] I don't see any overall easy, obvious outs.
[01:35:47] Like so far, I've really like...
[01:35:49] It's like everybody, even from a baseline,
[01:35:53] I feel like everybody...
[01:35:53] No one's giving me like, yo, Red Flag, they go home first.
[01:35:56] Like there's nobody that's like, they have a glaring, glaring weakness,
[01:36:00] I would say.
[01:36:01] I agree.
[01:36:02] But reading some of these...
[01:36:05] Hearing some of these bios, there are some Red Flags though.
[01:36:09] Can I be real with y'all?
[01:36:13] There's somebody that came to one of the Bryson Wine events
[01:36:17] and I met him and I'm like excited to watch him.
[01:36:21] But somehow I'm getting kind of JD vibes.
[01:36:26] Remember JD, how he was like...
[01:36:28] He just threw himself in too many things too soon
[01:36:32] and he kind of...
[01:36:33] If he would have just chilled out a little bit,
[01:36:35] I think he could have done a lot better.
[01:36:37] I'm very scared for my man, Rome.
[01:36:39] I want Rome to do very well, but I'm scared.
[01:36:43] I'm scared for Rome too.
[01:36:44] He's the smallest guy on the stride.
[01:36:46] And it's just kind of...
[01:36:48] I just...
[01:36:49] I think I saw on his Instagram yesterday
[01:36:51] a photo of him jumping up and touching his ceiling.
[01:36:55] What's wrong with that?
[01:36:57] Yo, yo, yo, you don't have a gamer...
[01:36:59] Yo, Windows making fun of the gamers.
[01:37:01] He's saying the gamers don't...
[01:37:02] Oh my God, oh my God!
[01:37:03] Hey, time out.
[01:37:04] Yo, Windows really making fun of you.
[01:37:06] Brandon.
[01:37:06] You're really, really, really, that's crazy.
[01:37:07] He said that some gamers just outside of my jumping
[01:37:10] touching the ceiling.
[01:37:10] That's crazy.
[01:37:11] I didn't say that.
[01:37:12] Brandon, what's wrong with jumping up and touching your ceiling?
[01:37:16] I'm confused.
[01:37:17] He's saying Rome ain't run no laps, yo.
[01:37:19] I mean...
[01:37:21] I've never did...
[01:37:22] I...
[01:37:23] Brandon, you're still...
[01:37:25] I can...
[01:37:26] I'm not touching the ceiling, but it's not a thing to me about.
[01:37:30] You know what?
[01:37:30] Let me record myself jumping up and touching the ceiling.
[01:37:32] You know what?
[01:37:33] You know what?
[01:37:34] You know what?
[01:37:34] You know what?
[01:37:35] You know what?
[01:37:35] He was like, yo, that's horrible.
[01:37:36] No, no, no.
[01:37:37] The gamers wasn't after you, yo.
[01:37:39] But...
[01:37:39] The gamers, the gamers, your name is at
[01:37:41] Windows Highland on all social networks.
[01:37:43] These are the best.
[01:37:44] You should be glad to have them, y'all.
[01:37:45] Gamers ain't athletic, yo.
[01:37:46] That's what he just said, yo.
[01:37:48] Bro...
[01:37:48] The next time we are all together,
[01:37:51] we are making a video of us jumping up
[01:37:54] trying to touch the ceiling.
[01:37:55] Okay, I'm just putting it out.
[01:37:57] I feel like I got home in a race, y'all.
[01:37:58] I got home in a race.
[01:38:00] Nah, Rome will smoke you.
[01:38:01] A lot of us are not gonna have to smoke you.
[01:38:02] No, no, I thought Rome got you in a race.
[01:38:04] Rome versus you.
[01:38:05] He could live in a basement apartment.
[01:38:07] Rome versus you in a race.
[01:38:08] I mean, he has race.
[01:38:10] I feel like you're gonna represent for the gamers, y'all.
[01:38:13] Yeah, he's doing that.
[01:38:13] Rome looks fast.
[01:38:14] You had to see him in Fortnite, though.
[01:38:16] Then you had to come on Fortnite and have him.
[01:38:18] You gotta come see him, train him up.
[01:38:19] Who will smoke me at Fortnite?
[01:38:23] Windows still has a Sega Genesis plucked into his wall.
[01:38:26] I don't think he's playing Fortnite.
[01:38:28] You don't have no respect for the gamers.
[01:38:30] That's what it is.
[01:38:31] I respect the gamers.
[01:38:32] We're about to get an uncle moment.
[01:38:34] I can feel it.
[01:38:36] An uncle moment.
[01:38:36] I can feel an uncle moment.
[01:38:39] Let me tell you gamers what you're not gonna do,
[01:38:42] because I dare one of y'all to see me
[01:38:45] add some Mario Kart on a Nintendo 64.
[01:38:48] Rome, that is a challenge, y'all.
[01:38:50] Rome, he's just challenged you to Mario.
[01:38:51] I know you.
[01:38:52] You ought to get smoked, bro.
[01:38:53] Come on, he's gonna get smoked.
[01:38:54] Rome jumping up and down right now.
[01:38:56] Don't race you, yo.
[01:39:00] He's gonna stream it on Twitch.
[01:39:02] Everybody, everybody, I'm gonna repost it.
[01:39:04] He's gonna post it.
[01:39:05] He has a golden eye.
[01:39:06] James, as a matter of fact.
[01:39:07] And I said Rome was gonna crash out.
[01:39:10] I didn't mean on Mario Go Kart.
[01:39:13] But all right, who we got next with DZ?
[01:39:16] Next up, we have, I'm gonna scroll down.
[01:39:20] We have Sue Smay up next.
[01:39:23] Sue is from, she's 59 years old,
[01:39:25] from Kirkwood, New York.
[01:39:28] That gentleman is north of Scran, actually.
[01:39:31] Current residents, Putnam Valley, New York.
[01:39:34] Flight school owner.
[01:39:37] Three words to describe you.
[01:39:39] Badass, fearless, adrenaline junkie.
[01:39:41] Yo, I'm excited for Sue.
[01:39:44] I love Sue.
[01:39:45] She's my favorite.
[01:39:45] She will hit the beat running, yo.
[01:39:47] I'm excited.
[01:39:49] She likes me holding back energy right now.
[01:39:51] I feel like she's holding back right now.
[01:39:54] I feel like this is a picture.
[01:39:56] She has mad energy, wants to come out
[01:39:57] and she's holding it back.
[01:39:59] Like I'm excited.
[01:40:00] Sue is going to, she's coming from mama Tina's spot.
[01:40:06] I feel like Sue has the energy.
[01:40:08] I feel like Sue reminds me of from the older season,
[01:40:11] I believe not a little Tina Weston,
[01:40:13] but the other Tina that we went to
[01:40:15] Survivor Africa with, remember her name?
[01:40:21] But other Tina, I like her energy.
[01:40:23] I feel like Tina Sue is coming in as the older woman,
[01:40:28] but I also feel like she has an energy about her.
[01:40:32] She ain't gonna hold back.
[01:40:34] She ain't gonna hold back.
[01:40:35] I hope that she's not voted out early
[01:40:38] because I want to see her not hold back all season long.
[01:40:42] I want to see her going hard.
[01:40:44] She says she wants to play like a combination of Tony and Sarri.
[01:40:48] Wow.
[01:40:49] But I can see her doing that though.
[01:40:51] Because if she is the motherly person,
[01:40:57] take your clothes out.
[01:40:58] Let me put your dryer clothes.
[01:41:00] Let me make sure the fire is going, blah, blah, blah.
[01:41:02] You have the capital to then do the treacherous stuff
[01:41:06] that you need to do to sometimes win the game
[01:41:08] that you can do it with a smile.
[01:41:11] Hopefully she can make it.
[01:41:12] I feel like, yeah.
[01:41:14] I think the one thing is,
[01:41:16] I feel like her allies are gonna be important
[01:41:17] and having people that really will ride with her.
[01:41:20] This is a hot take.
[01:41:21] I don't want Suda coming like that mom.
[01:41:23] I want Suda coming like a deadbeat mom
[01:41:26] that lives her life, her mom raised the kids,
[01:41:32] and then she came back as an adult.
[01:41:33] I want Suda to be like, I'm here for myself,
[01:41:36] F them kids.
[01:41:38] And I want Suda to play for her.
[01:41:40] I want Suda to kill it.
[01:41:43] And so I say that metaphorically of the sense of like,
[01:41:46] I want Suda to be like, say she's Diana Ross
[01:41:49] and she had kids.
[01:41:50] She was a mother on the road.
[01:41:52] She wasn't there laying the clothes out for the kids
[01:41:54] every morning because she was on the road.
[01:41:56] I want Suda to come out here and wow us.
[01:41:58] I want Suda.
[01:42:00] She wants Suda to be in them streets.
[01:42:01] I feel like Suda is gonna be in them survivor streets.
[01:42:03] I feel like she's a survivor street candidate.
[01:42:05] I feel like also when you,
[01:42:08] I feel like she's not gonna have anything to lose.
[01:42:11] Like I feel like a lot of times people play like,
[01:42:13] I feel like she's gonna play like,
[01:42:15] this is her last time playing the game
[01:42:17] or this may could be her last time playing the game.
[01:42:19] And I feel like that is going to build well.
[01:42:22] And I'm excited to see,
[01:42:24] because I don't think we've seen someone
[01:42:25] like with that much energy at that age
[01:42:27] where I feel like she's in shape.
[01:42:29] Like she got out around me right now.
[01:42:30] You know what I'm saying?
[01:42:31] Like I feel like she's in shape.
[01:42:33] She's not, I guess she's gonna be a beast.
[01:42:35] And I feel like she also just has that wisdom
[01:42:37] that you should have like she's double,
[01:42:39] some people, these people ages.
[01:42:41] And you can't put a price on wisdom,
[01:42:45] and having an experience.
[01:42:47] You know, you also had a season,
[01:42:49] I came from a season where Gable won the 51.
[01:42:51] I don't think many people had them winning
[01:42:53] or gave them a shot going into it.
[01:42:55] So I feel like that's something else
[01:42:57] where you all are magically looking to it.
[01:42:59] She's 59, she's starting with a low threat level.
[01:43:01] So being able to kind of maintain that relationships,
[01:43:04] we've seen that winning new era.
[01:43:06] So I wonder if people are gonna be guarded against that
[01:43:08] or maybe they're not.
[01:43:10] Or maybe they're looking at Gable
[01:43:11] like, oh that was lucky XYZ.
[01:43:13] And she can be a person that you think
[01:43:15] people can carry to the end.
[01:43:16] You can to the end and she's like, nope,
[01:43:18] I'm cool with this person.
[01:43:19] I'm cool with this person.
[01:43:20] I'm cool with this person.
[01:43:21] I know what you did.
[01:43:22] I know what you did.
[01:43:22] I know your grandma.
[01:43:24] I know your mom.
[01:43:25] We doing this.
[01:43:25] I'm cooking this here for you.
[01:43:26] And you sitting there like, whoa,
[01:43:28] when did this happen?
[01:43:29] Like I thought you were just chilling.
[01:43:32] So you know, may watch out for Sue.
[01:43:34] I'm just saying.
[01:43:35] Yeah.
[01:43:37] I'd like to watch out for Sue.
[01:43:38] I like mama Sue.
[01:43:40] I'm excited.
[01:43:41] Who we got next, Wendyzie?
[01:43:42] Caroline Vidmar is 27 from Palace.
[01:43:45] Now you said she's a flight school owner?
[01:43:47] Yes.
[01:43:49] So what does that mean?
[01:43:50] Does that mean she's a pilot
[01:43:51] or she just owns like a school?
[01:43:54] Probably loads.
[01:43:55] So that means, yeah, that means
[01:43:57] Sue got money.
[01:43:59] So Sue don't need money.
[01:44:01] So that means Sue crashing out
[01:44:03] and when I meet my crash out,
[01:44:04] Sue, no, no, no, no, like that.
[01:44:06] No, no, no, no.
[01:44:07] What do I mean?
[01:44:08] Wow.
[01:44:09] Wow.
[01:44:10] Get him, get him.
[01:44:11] Do not talk about an airline owner like that.
[01:44:14] I don't mean it like that.
[01:44:16] Even before that though, to even be a pilot.
[01:44:22] Yeah, to be in flight school, all that stuff.
[01:44:24] Yeah.
[01:44:25] It's like, yeah, that's, you know,
[01:44:26] also I feel like you're dealing with a,
[01:44:29] you're cut out, Brina, as I started talking.
[01:44:31] That's why.
[01:44:32] Well, like even before that,
[01:44:33] to be pilot though, to even like
[01:44:35] get into the, you have to be a problem solver.
[01:44:38] Like that's no easy task.
[01:44:41] You know what I mean?
[01:44:42] Aren't you a pilot, Brandon?
[01:44:46] Oh my bad.
[01:44:48] Can't you lie?
[01:44:49] Who was Brian?
[01:44:50] Terrible because I'm in front of y'all
[01:44:53] like three minutes behind me.
[01:44:55] So I'm saying what?
[01:44:59] I feel you.
[01:45:00] I'm a pilot.
[01:45:01] I know you dropped some gold right there, yeah.
[01:45:03] I know you dropped gold.
[01:45:04] Oh, the Internet.
[01:45:08] Yo, I feel like that.
[01:45:09] Yeah, Brandon.
[01:45:10] We can't.
[01:45:11] Just like we're free shot that joint.
[01:45:14] You see how like.
[01:45:20] Brandon, aren't you a pilot?
[01:45:23] Yeah, I am pilot actually.
[01:45:25] That's what initially kind of brought me to it.
[01:45:27] When I heard flight school owner,
[01:45:29] I know how difficult that world is.
[01:45:31] So to even put yourself in a position
[01:45:33] not only to one be a pilot,
[01:45:34] then also be a flight school owner.
[01:45:36] That takes a lot of grit,
[01:45:38] a lot of perseverance,
[01:45:41] I mean a lot of problem solving.
[01:45:43] That's not no easy task at all.
[01:45:45] So that I think that's going to be overlooked
[01:45:47] by a lot of people.
[01:45:48] But that's kind of big in my book to be honest.
[01:45:51] I know there's difficulty that comes with that.
[01:45:53] You know?
[01:45:54] Hey man, it reminds me a lot of Gabor too.
[01:45:56] When Gabor is like, yeah,
[01:45:58] he's a medical device.
[01:46:00] So very difficult to get into.
[01:46:01] You have to be super smart to be in the ER.
[01:46:03] You have to know a lot of things.
[01:46:04] Where he's like, yeah, I'm in the...
[01:46:07] It's like it kind of took a lot of times
[01:46:09] people don't understand certain things
[01:46:11] and they'll understand what goes into it
[01:46:12] for that to be successful.
[01:46:14] When you say flight school owner,
[01:46:14] you may not think that deeply about it
[01:46:16] as somebody that's doing a lot of different things
[01:46:19] when really they are.
[01:46:21] And she could say,
[01:46:22] she'd go out there and say,
[01:46:23] I work as a receptionist at a flight school
[01:46:26] to even lower her threat even more
[01:46:28] because my girl Sue,
[01:46:31] she don't have nothing to lose out there.
[01:46:32] She's got the money.
[01:46:33] She got a business.
[01:46:34] Like I really feel like Sue gonna come
[01:46:36] and we might be crowning a win at the queen's.
[01:46:40] Sue, I'm excited.
[01:46:41] But let's learn a little bit more
[01:46:43] about Caroline.
[01:46:44] When do you...
[01:46:45] Caroline Bidmer.
[01:46:45] Caroline is 27 from Palos Verdes, California
[01:46:48] from Chicago...
[01:46:50] No currently residing in Chicago, Illinois.
[01:46:54] She's a strategy consultant,
[01:46:56] adventurous, enthusiastic and supportive.
[01:46:59] Why do you want to be on Survivor?
[01:47:01] It's been my dream to be on Survivor
[01:47:02] since I was five years old.
[01:47:04] When I was younger,
[01:47:04] I loved watching Survivor
[01:47:06] and seeing how happy people were
[01:47:08] when they won a challenge.
[01:47:09] And as I grew older
[01:47:10] and began to understand
[01:47:12] how grueling and tough Survivor is,
[01:47:14] the more I fell in love with the show.
[01:47:15] Watching Survivors who were down on their luck,
[01:47:18] still fight persevere
[01:47:19] and even thrive
[01:47:20] taught me the power of resilience.
[01:47:22] And now I'm ready to put my damn resilience
[01:47:24] to the test
[01:47:25] and play the most epic game there is.
[01:47:29] I love it.
[01:47:30] She almost gives me a little...
[01:47:31] I almost get a little Emily flipping energy
[01:47:34] like slightly a little bit.
[01:47:35] But I like someone that is playing
[01:47:38] with their back against the wall.
[01:47:40] I get scrappy.
[01:47:42] I get...
[01:47:42] I'm excited.
[01:47:43] I feel like I want her to use her voice.
[01:47:46] Let me hear you.
[01:47:47] I want you out here
[01:47:48] in these Survivor Sands playing, Caroline.
[01:47:52] I'm excited for her.
[01:47:53] He resonates with Tori from 42
[01:47:54] and Emily from 45
[01:47:56] because of their honest takes
[01:47:58] and their insights being spot on.
[01:48:02] The My One Red Flag is honesty.
[01:48:06] Honesty is not a strong thing
[01:48:09] you want to have in Survivor
[01:48:11] because it puts you in a bad spot.
[01:48:15] It's fun to watch,
[01:48:16] but you got to be lying out there.
[01:48:18] So I think sometimes people think,
[01:48:20] yo, I'm being honest.
[01:48:20] I'm being real.
[01:48:21] It's like, nah,
[01:48:22] you don't want to keep it real too real out there.
[01:48:25] If it's real adjacent.
[01:48:26] So I think that may be one thing
[01:48:29] where honesty is not the best policy.
[01:48:31] So I would encourage just...
[01:48:33] I feel like more lying is needed
[01:48:35] whenever you think you should...
[01:48:36] Like lying, it can't be fact-checked just a lot.
[01:48:39] Like it doesn't hurt you,
[01:48:40] but I feel like to tell her how it is,
[01:48:43] it's good to professionals,
[01:48:44] but not playing the game.
[01:48:45] So that'd be my one worry,
[01:48:47] especially like because Tori was the person
[01:48:49] that communicated how she felt
[01:48:51] and she wasn't in a stronger position.
[01:48:53] Emily got failed her footing,
[01:48:57] but she wasn't in the strong position
[01:48:58] because she was communicating
[01:49:00] how she was really feeling.
[01:49:01] You could play an honest game and be deceptive.
[01:49:03] You could play an honest game and lie.
[01:49:07] You could play an honest game and lie?
[01:49:10] So I'm saying like you could be on the up,
[01:49:12] up, up and play an honest game,
[01:49:15] but tell a white lie here and there.
[01:49:19] I mean, but I think...
[01:49:20] This is a different conversation.
[01:49:22] I feel like that's where a lot of times people take those
[01:49:25] honest game and white lies
[01:49:27] that people say that personally at the end.
[01:49:29] It's like if you're going to be a liar,
[01:49:31] be a lie.
[01:49:31] I'm playing the game.
[01:49:33] I don't think people respect...
[01:49:34] Like I'm playing an honest game,
[01:49:35] but I don't know if people respect the honest game.
[01:49:37] Can't be respecting it at the end
[01:49:39] when at the end isn't the time to tell the white lie.
[01:49:42] At the end is the time to be like,
[01:49:43] I did lie to you,
[01:49:44] but this is the reason why I lied to you.
[01:49:49] I'm just saying.
[01:49:50] Hey man.
[01:49:52] I think Carolyn,
[01:49:53] I feel like she could be underestimated.
[01:49:56] Hopefully, I feel like it's a good place to start.
[01:49:59] Like starting underestimated is a good place
[01:50:00] in this game to start.
[01:50:02] I feel like you have the good foundation.
[01:50:04] And hopefully she lets the personalities around her
[01:50:07] take themselves out.
[01:50:09] And then she kind of is the person that is looked at
[01:50:12] as the diffuser.
[01:50:13] You know, hopefully...
[01:50:14] I think she can be a nice little floater
[01:50:15] where people aren't really threatened by her,
[01:50:17] but they will all want her vote.
[01:50:18] You know, and she can stay in that position
[01:50:20] and then strike what she has to.
[01:50:22] That'll be my advice in my thoughts.
[01:50:26] Okay.
[01:50:27] Next up, we have who I'm going to call the people's champ.
[01:50:31] I was thinking.
[01:50:32] I think it's...
[01:50:33] I'm interested to see how she...
[01:50:38] Brandon caught him.
[01:50:39] This delay is crazy.
[01:50:41] Not a lie.
[01:50:43] We were so excited.
[01:50:44] This delay is crazy.
[01:50:47] Brandon is flying.
[01:50:48] Okay.
[01:50:54] The next person up is who I'm going to call the people's champ.
[01:50:59] Asia Welch, everybody, all the podcasters know
[01:51:02] where she is a part of our podcaster,
[01:51:05] part of the community.
[01:51:06] We've seen her before.
[01:51:07] We're rooting for her very much so.
[01:51:10] She's 32 from DeSoto, Texas.
[01:51:11] Lives in H-Chile, Houston, Texas.
[01:51:13] She's an IT consultant.
[01:51:15] Three words to describe you.
[01:51:17] Overachiever, unique and joyful.
[01:51:19] Why do you want to be a part of Survivor?
[01:51:21] I've watched Survivor since I was 12.
[01:51:22] My mom started watching season one, so she put me on.
[01:51:26] I always thought that Survivor was too hard,
[01:51:29] but I've reached the point in my life
[01:51:31] where I've accomplished a lot personally
[01:51:32] and I'm ready for my next biggest challenge.
[01:51:35] Not only is this my dream, but it's my family's too.
[01:51:38] I'm so excited to see Asia on this season.
[01:51:41] Asia is my future sister-in-law
[01:51:44] and I am excited for Asia.
[01:51:47] I love her.
[01:51:49] I don't have no advice for her.
[01:51:50] Be the queen that we know you to be queen
[01:51:55] and let's break this million dollars.
[01:51:57] Okay, let's go Asia.
[01:51:58] I love Queen Asia.
[01:52:00] Sister-in-law, what's up?
[01:52:02] I feel like she probably has from a...
[01:52:06] Probably talked to a lot of Survivor players.
[01:52:08] Probably has a great relationship.
[01:52:10] She has been analyzing the game for a very long time.
[01:52:14] I mean, if I was out there, I would hold her out.
[01:52:18] I mean, she has no weaknesses.
[01:52:22] She's one of those no weakness players where she's athletic.
[01:52:25] She's clearly smart and she clearly can get along with people.
[01:52:28] The three things you need to win the game.
[01:52:31] So she's one of those people that's going to have this
[01:52:33] super high threat level just off-riff.
[01:52:37] So I think the hardest thing is like to really lower her threat level
[01:52:40] enough where people aren't threatened
[01:52:43] and to have people that are willing to go to their mattresses for her.
[01:52:46] Because the super fan error, even if they're going to know who
[01:52:51] or maybe know who she is, she may disclose who she is.
[01:52:54] And you don't know how people are going to react to that.
[01:52:57] So I do worry but I feel like I don't have any advice to give.
[01:53:04] She probably knows more stuff than me.
[01:53:07] So I was going to let her cook.
[01:53:09] If you feel like I can't really know what's going on.
[01:53:10] Do we think that if she lets people know that she's an RHA
[01:53:15] podcaster or that she's in the community, does this make her a bigger threat?
[01:53:25] I don't think so.
[01:53:26] Her podcast, she has talked about Big Brother.
[01:53:30] Her podcast is about like 90-day fiance.
[01:53:33] So she's like very survivor adjacent.
[01:53:35] So if anything, I think it gives her cool points of like,
[01:53:37] you know, hey I'm a pod, like again, I think it's setting her up
[01:53:42] for the right art that we need to see.
[01:53:45] But that's just reality.
[01:53:46] So you hear RHA, you know what I'm saying?
[01:53:51] It's kind of one of those things where, but not people.
[01:53:53] It's like you kind of want to get in front of this.
[01:53:55] 90-day fiance though, I'm just saying.
[01:53:58] But I heard of RHA when I was on my season
[01:54:00] and I ain't know what RHA was or what survivor podcasts were.
[01:54:04] Which is the reason why we're doing a uncle's podcast right now.
[01:54:08] Yes.
[01:54:09] And now people do.
[01:54:10] And now back in your era, you know, back when,
[01:54:13] back in your era, sir, Mr. Right Hand Dribble 90 basketball player.
[01:54:18] Well wait, time out, Brandon, prior to you going out there,
[01:54:22] if you were out there and you heard someone say,
[01:54:24] I'm an RHA podcaster, what would you think?
[01:54:29] He's gonna answer in five minutes.
[01:54:31] Three, two, one.
[01:54:34] I'm speaking.
[01:54:41] This is actually hilarious.
[01:54:45] They gotta fix our Wi-Fi, this is wild.
[01:54:49] That was a great answer.
[01:54:51] Yo, we feel that answer.
[01:54:57] I'm gonna speak for Brandon and say,
[01:55:00] I feel like it depends on your confidence level in the game.
[01:55:02] I feel like people that are there to,
[01:55:05] don't already intimidate it,
[01:55:06] that want to play with her is going to be a good thing where
[01:55:09] if you're looking for reasons to fool people out,
[01:55:11] you want to just increase someone's threat level,
[01:55:13] you can use that as a thing.
[01:55:15] So I think it depends on how the game goes for each season
[01:55:18] and kind of the mentality that the players have.
[01:55:21] Where I think having enough people,
[01:55:22] where it's not really that big a deal,
[01:55:25] but to some people it could be
[01:55:27] and figure out who those people are and getting them out.
[01:55:29] We're like, who is poising your well behind?
[01:55:32] Who's like, whatever, that's cool.
[01:55:34] Like, I'm like, that's what I don't really care what you do.
[01:55:36] That's what you do at fun, great.
[01:55:38] The people that are like, oh my God,
[01:55:39] those people you have to figure out who those people are
[01:55:42] and get those people out.
[01:55:43] I just, I don't see that in her spirit, right?
[01:55:45] Like I've known Asia for many years now
[01:55:49] and I feel like even if she was a survivor
[01:55:51] and she had a sole survivor about podcasts,
[01:55:54] I feel like her spirit, her energy,
[01:55:57] I feel like isn't going to exude that.
[01:55:59] So I have very high hopes for my podcasting sister
[01:56:04] and future sister-in-law.
[01:56:07] Who do we have next?
[01:56:10] Next we have Sierra Wright, 27 from Wilmington, Delaware,
[01:56:14] lives in Phoenixville, PA.
[01:56:17] Another-
[01:56:17] Oh, Phoenixville.
[01:56:19] Oh, Phoenixville!
[01:56:21] Bill.
[01:56:22] Sierra!
[01:56:24] Ambitious, intuitive and she's a hoot.
[01:56:27] I feel like she's been to the price of one of its life.
[01:56:32] I feel like I hope she can go under the radar
[01:56:37] and I feel like she may be underestimated,
[01:56:39] which could be a good thing.
[01:56:41] So I just, I mean, I feel like it looks like she's in great shape.
[01:56:46] Like I feel like very bubbly personality.
[01:56:48] Like I think she's one of the people that can connect
[01:56:50] with a lot of people.
[01:56:51] So I just hope that she can just navigate
[01:56:55] to beginning of the game,
[01:56:57] like build some good relationships
[01:56:59] because I do think people are going to see her
[01:57:01] kind of as a threat to win.
[01:57:05] And I feel like we got to kind of worry about that.
[01:57:08] When people look at you and think,
[01:57:09] Oh yeah, you can, I can see you winning the game.
[01:57:12] Like you want to worry about that.
[01:57:14] I think that's the hardest part.
[01:57:15] But I feel like, yeah, she's going to be great.
[01:57:18] Yeah, she looks young.
[01:57:19] She looks fun.
[01:57:21] She's from our area.
[01:57:22] She's from the hometown crew.
[01:57:24] So my advice to you is go farther than myself, Brandon,
[01:57:30] James, Brandon, Mariah,
[01:57:32] and Wendell the second time he played
[01:57:34] and bring us the money.
[01:57:37] Let's go, Sierra.
[01:57:38] Yes, yes, yes.
[01:57:45] Why will you be soul survivor?
[01:57:46] If there's one thing I know about me
[01:57:48] is that I work my ass off at everything I do.
[01:57:50] There's no such thing as 100% in my book.
[01:57:52] I always give 150% or nothing.
[01:57:55] I plan to follow suit here.
[01:57:56] Also, I like to say I'm a pretty good time.
[01:57:59] My friends tell me my laughter is contagious.
[01:58:02] I hope my tribe feels the same.
[01:58:03] I practiced the last year,
[01:58:05] so I expect those 4 a.m. gym wake-up calls
[01:58:08] to shine through in the challenge.
[01:58:11] To give me Lindsay energy too.
[01:58:13] Like, I feel like this is like Lindsay,
[01:58:16] it's like someone that you can hang with anybody
[01:58:19] that's down for a good time.
[01:58:22] On my scenes, I feel like kind of interesting edit
[01:58:25] where she was in the mix doing a lot of stuff.
[01:58:29] I think Sierra can do some damage.
[01:58:32] And I think it's just her making sure that she's not like,
[01:58:36] I feel like she can be intimidating if she's at the gym
[01:58:38] and people see her beasting challenges.
[01:58:41] It's like managing that threat level
[01:58:42] when you may not want to be perceived
[01:58:45] as that big physical threat going in like a tour.
[01:58:50] Where Tori was like a beast in challenge
[01:58:51] and she was like, oh shoot, we gotta get rid of this person.
[01:58:54] But I think, yeah, she won't do good.
[01:58:57] We are excited.
[01:58:58] Would you agree, Brandon?
[01:59:06] We're gonna get off the hook.
[01:59:09] All right, we're on to our last player, Wendyzy.
[01:59:14] Who is he?
[01:59:15] Solomon, also known as Saul Yee.
[01:59:17] So Saul is 43 from Del City, Oklahoma.
[01:59:21] He lives in Norwalk, Connecticut.
[01:59:23] Medical device sales.
[01:59:25] Whitty, friendly and lucky.
[01:59:28] Why do you want to be a part of Survivor?
[01:59:30] Besides Oklahoma football, Survivor
[01:59:32] is what I love to watch the most.
[01:59:34] I have everything I've ever wanted in life
[01:59:38] now that I get to play my favorite game.
[01:59:41] Okay.
[01:59:43] Can you read more about him?
[01:59:45] I think he's interesting.
[01:59:46] Keep going.
[01:59:46] Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:59:46] He's a poker, working out, personal growth,
[01:59:49] eating kimchi, pet peeves,
[01:59:52] treating people in the service industry like crap.
[01:59:54] Be kind.
[01:59:55] I like that.
[01:59:58] What is the accomplishment you are most proud of?
[02:00:03] Take a look at my wife.
[02:00:04] Oh, oh, man.
[02:00:06] This is my guy.
[02:00:07] This is my guy.
[02:00:11] Let's go.
[02:00:13] Listen, I need somebody that's going to be
[02:00:18] that excited about me.
[02:00:19] Come on, Solomon.
[02:00:20] Okay, listen.
[02:00:21] So I'm playing with y'all.
[02:00:23] What is something you'd never know from looking at you?
[02:00:26] I used to live with international pop sensation,
[02:00:29] Ryan Cabrera.
[02:00:33] No, I'm Ryan Cabrera.
[02:00:35] Ryan Cabrera.
[02:00:38] You don't know who Ryan Cabrera is?
[02:00:41] You see our face reactions?
[02:00:43] We're brothers.
[02:00:44] Oh my God, no, y'all are uncles.
[02:00:46] Y'all are uncles.
[02:00:48] Oh my God.
[02:00:51] So this guy, I love poker players.
[02:00:54] Sybar fact, a lot of chess people play poker professionally.
[02:00:57] So like he's definitely going to be
[02:01:00] weighing the options, weighing the moves.
[02:01:01] So I feel like that's going to be good for him.
[02:01:04] I do feel the only thing is the age thing is making sure
[02:01:07] that he can connect with younger people.
[02:01:09] And you know, I think that may be the only like thing where
[02:01:13] when you're an outlier, it's just tough.
[02:01:15] It's in general with anything.
[02:01:17] You want to be kind of closer to the mesh
[02:01:18] where like, you know, things change,
[02:01:21] what you want to do for fun.
[02:01:22] I don't even know if the kids even like poker or play poker.
[02:01:24] So like it was kind of one of those things where
[02:01:27] I feel like he's going to be a solid in challenges.
[02:01:30] He has that grown man strength,
[02:01:32] which people don't understand.
[02:01:33] Like you had a young, that young guy's strength is cool.
[02:01:35] But that grown man strength is something too,
[02:01:38] where I don't know the other tribes have someone
[02:01:40] that has that much grown man strength with them.
[02:01:42] You know, like Bruce, like Bruce is a beast in challenges.
[02:01:45] You know, so we talk about the older guy that's in shape.
[02:01:48] They got to stuff together smart.
[02:01:51] I mean, I feel like he has to be asking those people
[02:01:53] that he looks like he can like be good at the game
[02:01:56] all aspects.
[02:01:57] So I feel like those people that look like that
[02:01:59] and feel like that,
[02:02:00] they combine together and go to the matches.
[02:02:02] You got to find your folks.
[02:02:03] Hopefully you got some people to go to the matches with.
[02:02:07] I love his confidence.
[02:02:10] Yeah, I think that that will do him well.
[02:02:12] He's a medical device seller similar to Gableur.
[02:02:15] Gableur? Yeah.
[02:02:16] So that's you got to sell things.
[02:02:18] You got to like persuade people.
[02:02:20] You have to have a certain Gena Sequa.
[02:02:23] And I think that he might have that.
[02:02:27] I'm excited for this cast.
[02:02:29] I don't know about y'all, Brandon.
[02:02:30] Can we get a thumbs up if you excited for season 47 with us?
[02:02:33] Because like, like, I really,
[02:02:37] there's only a couple super red flags I kind of can see
[02:02:40] where I see only a couple of layers.
[02:02:42] So I'm like, you know, that could be a layer like in.
[02:02:45] I think it's going to be good.
[02:02:46] It's going to be a good one.
[02:02:47] It's going to be interesting.
[02:02:48] I mean, it is.
[02:02:50] It's going to be amazing.
[02:02:51] I I see no red flags.
[02:02:53] The only green flags I see is headed straight to the BWP tour.
[02:02:57] 47.
[02:02:58] We are kicking off our premiere party in two, you know, less than
[02:03:04] less than 10 days.
[02:03:06] We will be in New York City.
[02:03:08] Tickets are almost sold out.
[02:03:09] So you don't want to miss this premiere.

[02:03:27] We are bringing the fandom community together.
[02:03:30] Brandon, James, I can't thank you enough for this fourth to fifth time doing this.
[02:03:35] We appreciate you.
[02:03:37] You know, tell them you didn't win survivor without telling me you didn't win
[02:03:40] survivor when your internet is giving cricket wireless.
[02:03:48] It's working now.
[02:03:50] It's working now.
[02:03:51] Here we go.
[02:03:55] It's working now.
[02:03:58] James, we appreciate you so much.
[02:04:01] Thank you.
[02:04:02] Wendyzy is always a pleasure.
[02:04:03] We will see you every week.
[02:04:07] Survivor News will be back covering the first episode with our baby boy Jack
[02:04:10] Atkins in a couple of weeks.
[02:04:11] But listen, we are out.
[02:04:13] Good luck to all season 47.
[02:04:15] And listen, Rome, if you are watching, touch the roof.
[02:04:20] Yo, Rome, yo, Rome, yo, Rome.
[02:04:22] Yo, see, you know, get them, you know, Rome, you know, get them back Rome.
[02:04:26] Too much, Rome.
[02:04:26] I don't want no smoke, Rome.
[02:04:28] Yo, Rome, yo, yo, yo, get the gamers on them, you know.
[02:04:31] Get them back.
[02:04:33] Dr Patel.
[02:04:34] All right.
[02:04:35] We'll see you.
[02:04:36] Get ready.
[02:04:36] Survivor 47, we out.
[02:04:38] Peace.
