[00:02:42] It's a man who?
[00:02:43] It's a man you.
[00:02:45] Me and potatoes like we're cooking up a great stew.
[00:02:47] It's a man who?
[00:02:48] It's a man you.
[00:02:49] Me and potatoes like we're cooking up a great stew.
[00:02:58] And what is going on?
[00:03:00] We are back with your Purple Pants podcast coverage of Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9, Episodes 7 and 8.
[00:03:09] I am here with my amazing, talented, and oh-so-funny co-host, Dr. Jatia Taylor Hart.
[00:03:16] Whoosh-popping!
[00:03:17] Oh my gosh.
[00:03:18] First of all, so happy to be here.
[00:03:20] And I was also so happy to see you this past week.
[00:03:25] Yes.
[00:03:26] We did the Bryson Wynn Tour 47 stop in Chicago, and Jatia was a highlight of my night.
[00:03:33] I got to spend some time with my sister.
[00:03:35] We appreciate everyone that came.
[00:03:38] There were some posse members in the building.
[00:03:40] I believe May was there, and she was like, I love Jatia.
[00:03:45] I love the Potomac Housewives recap.
[00:03:48] So we appreciate you, May, even though I call her Maya.
[00:03:50] We love her.
[00:03:53] So thank you, May, for hopping.
[00:03:54] Look, I had a fantastic time.
[00:03:57] I would like to point out that somebody on this podcast also was on top of a bar.
[00:04:04] We'll let you guess who was who.
[00:04:07] Well, normally, Jatia takes a teaspoon of tequila, and she's on a bar.
[00:04:14] But I figured I was in Jatia City.
[00:04:16] I've never been on a bar in my life.
[00:04:18] Girl, that's a lie.
[00:04:19] But, okay.
[00:04:21] What?
[00:04:23] That's a lie.
[00:04:23] Who does that?
[00:04:25] Very ghetto.
[00:04:26] Not classy, not cutesy, and not demure.
[00:04:29] Not demure or mindful.
[00:04:31] Oh, my gosh.
[00:04:31] To be up on a bar, like, rapping, you know, and ew.
[00:04:36] Who does that?
[00:04:37] Anyway.
[00:04:38] Listen, we are here, and we are covering episode seven and eight of the Real Housewives of Potomac.
[00:04:44] Seven and eight.
[00:04:45] We are here.
[00:04:46] We have a lot to get through.
[00:04:49] Episode seven wasn't that juicy, but there are some highlights that I felt like we need to talk about.
[00:04:55] Wendy and her family.
[00:04:57] She is planning her 40th birthday party.
[00:04:59] And to our surprise, some of Eddie's family said they is going to pull up and come.
[00:05:04] Now, not Eddie's mom and dad, but Eddie's siblings said that they will come.
[00:05:09] And so this is going to be interesting because we have not seen any of Eddie's family for five years.
[00:05:16] Look, not at the wedding, not at the law school graduation.
[00:05:21] Not at the christianity.
[00:05:23] Look, they haven't been introduced formally to the children.
[00:05:25] I don't even think they know what children are.
[00:05:28] They may not, like, understand, like, you know, how reproduction works because of Wendy.
[00:05:34] And the mom would, you know, look, Susan, you know, after she had gotten her allowance, you know.
[00:05:42] Okay.
[00:05:42] Because she didn't play about that allowance.
[00:05:44] Now, I understand.
[00:05:45] Run out of her money.
[00:05:46] Give me my money.
[00:05:47] It's what Susan said.
[00:05:48] Okay.
[00:05:51] Most parents, because we know Sheila, we see Sheila this episode, too.
[00:05:56] I'm sure Sheila gets an allowance, but I thought it was pretty interesting for Wendy's mom to be just asking for the allowance, like, on camera, like.
[00:06:05] No shame.
[00:06:06] Four days late.
[00:06:07] Okay.
[00:06:07] Four degrees, four days late.
[00:06:09] So, I thought that was very interesting.
[00:06:12] Susan was not playing.
[00:06:14] And guess what?
[00:06:15] Wendy gave Susan her money.
[00:06:16] Okay.
[00:06:17] She said that right then and there.
[00:06:19] Right.
[00:06:20] So.
[00:06:21] Speaking of our girl, Sheila, we get to see Sheila this episode.
[00:06:25] Sheila is still in her not-so-great relationship.
[00:06:28] She is having some heart issues and some health issues.
[00:06:31] And we don't ever like to see parents with health issues.
[00:06:34] But she arrives to Ashley's house.
[00:06:36] Ashley said, you want some water?
[00:06:37] She said, I'll take the champagne.
[00:06:40] I said, oh.
[00:06:41] Like, look.
[00:06:43] Look, Sheila said, I got to stay hydrated.
[00:06:45] I got heart issues.
[00:06:47] So, why don't you give me something that I will drink so that I can stay hydrated so actually it's a part of my health plan.
[00:06:55] I am glad that Ashley is, you know, trying to talk to her mom-child.
[00:06:59] I think everybody, once you get to a certain age, honey, the rules reverse again.
[00:07:04] And then you have to, you know, start looking out for your parents.
[00:07:08] So, it's very interesting to see that relationship.
[00:07:11] I hope Sheila go ahead and dump that man, honey.
[00:07:14] He ain't going nowhere.
[00:07:15] He working.
[00:07:17] Okay.
[00:07:18] I'm working.
[00:07:18] Working on getting an allowance from Ashley.
[00:07:20] Look, like Susan.
[00:07:22] So, that's the-
[00:07:22] Sheila said he got a job.
[00:07:24] Ashley said, well, does it cover the bills?
[00:07:26] Sheila said, he's working.
[00:07:28] So, listen.
[00:07:29] We can't fault a man for working.
[00:07:32] So, if he working, continue to work, my good brother.
[00:07:35] Look, you know what he working on.
[00:07:37] He working on that allowance.
[00:07:39] That's it.
[00:07:39] So, I just thought that was very interesting.
[00:07:43] Another part of this episode that, look, stood out to me, honey, was TJ.
[00:07:48] Come on, TJ.
[00:07:51] TJ.
[00:07:51] TJ.
[00:07:52] TJ.
[00:07:52] With his chiclet gums as Stacey drew him.
[00:07:57] That, like, you should never, if you're not a good artist, draw a picture of somebody you love.
[00:08:02] Because it's never going to turn out good.
[00:08:04] It's always going to be whack, whack, whack, whack.
[00:08:07] I think, look, I'm trying to look, oh, yes, of my picture that my daughter drew of me.
[00:08:13] Let me show you.
[00:08:16] It looked like TJ's photo a little bit.
[00:08:18] I know.
[00:08:19] She drew TJ.
[00:08:20] She's a talented artist, right?
[00:08:22] So, that is just a reminder.
[00:08:25] Don't do it.
[00:08:27] Don't do it.
[00:08:27] Yeah.
[00:08:28] It was just weird and interesting.
[00:08:31] And it comes up again, weirder and even more interesting.
[00:08:36] They clowned him on the bus, rightfully so.
[00:08:39] I don't know.
[00:08:40] I thought it was very interesting when he came into the party.
[00:08:43] And I think one of them said, yeah, when I looked at that man, I could tell he had not been having sex.
[00:08:49] I think they should have added, like, with women.
[00:08:52] Oh.
[00:08:54] Like, I'm just saying.
[00:08:56] Like, you know, because he's a man of God.
[00:08:57] I mean, he is a man of God.
[00:09:01] Yeah.
[00:09:01] I like TJ.
[00:09:03] But I just don't know if TJ likes Stacey like that.
[00:09:08] I think TJ might like you, honey.
[00:09:09] I think, look, TJ.
[00:09:11] Well.
[00:09:12] I heard TJ say, TJ might have said you was cute.
[00:09:15] Okay.
[00:09:16] Well, hey, TJ.
[00:09:17] I've seen that Sister Sister episode that he was on.
[00:09:20] TJ was fine back in the day.
[00:09:22] And TJ looks like he used to be fine back in the day.
[00:09:25] And TJ still isn't a handsome man, though.
[00:09:27] Like, he still is an attractive Black man.
[00:09:31] So I'm not going to hate on TJ.
[00:09:33] And listen, TJ.
[00:09:34] I'm not going to hate on TJ either.
[00:09:35] TJ seems like a God-fearing, sex-shielding man.
[00:09:40] And listen, I am.
[00:09:41] Sexual woman-shielding man.
[00:09:43] I'm saving myself for marriage.
[00:09:45] So I am on the celibate journey as well.
[00:09:47] So listen, TJ, we could play together.
[00:09:51] Another touching and interesting moment on episode seven was when Karen met with her nephew.
[00:09:57] Takana, I don't really know what the meeting was, but essentially it was talking about the night of the accident.
[00:10:02] And we learned that she was on the phone with her nephew.
[00:10:06] And first of all, Karen's nephew was kind of cute, too.
[00:10:10] Karen's nephew was definitely cute.
[00:10:12] Yes, he was.
[00:10:13] Yeah, and we see how emotionally choked up he gets because he was literally on the phone with Karen when the accident happened.
[00:10:21] And that's something that I can't imagine.
[00:10:23] Imagine being on the phone with your aunt or your mom and you hear an accident and you can't, like, so he-
[00:10:29] You can't help them.
[00:10:30] Like, yes, that would drive me.
[00:10:33] So I love him as a character.
[00:10:35] He could come back.
[00:10:37] Yeah.
[00:10:38] I love that he was there for her and supporting her.
[00:10:40] And it was just a very genuine relationship.
[00:10:43] And that's not something that we see all the time on these type of shows.
[00:10:47] Yeah.
[00:10:47] And then the meat and potatoes of episode seven was Mia, Gordon, and Ink.
[00:10:52] Okay.
[00:10:52] They are in their condo building.
[00:10:55] Gordon comes down to check on the kids, get his iPad from the kids.
[00:11:00] And Mia and Gordon and Ink have this conversation.
[00:11:03] Mia has been telling us that Gordon is fine with Ink.
[00:11:06] However, in this conversation, Gordon says he's not fine.
[00:11:10] You kidding?
[00:11:11] He, Ink, committed adultery with his wife.
[00:11:15] And he wanted to know how many times.
[00:11:18] How many times.
[00:11:18] He's like, if you can't give me an exact number, can you estimate?
[00:11:23] Has it blinked if it's been more than two?
[00:11:25] And look.
[00:11:26] I think that that was a weird thing, right?
[00:11:30] Like, now, don't get me wrong.
[00:11:31] It does matter.
[00:11:32] But in the grand scheme of things and where y'all are at, like, why are you asking how
[00:11:36] many times they committed adultery?
[00:11:39] And not only that, but, like, weren't you co-signing in some way, it seems like, on some
[00:11:44] of it?
[00:11:44] So, like, if you wanted numbers, like, I don't know.
[00:11:48] Like, it was just weird.
[00:11:49] It was weird.
[00:11:51] I thought it was interesting that Mia just put it out there.
[00:11:54] Like, you, and we, like, she was like, the whole situation was weird.
[00:11:57] Don't you be worried?
[00:11:58] Like, you was locking her in a room.
[00:12:01] And you concerned about how many, the exact number of times.
[00:12:05] Was it 2.5?
[00:12:07] And what the .5 until?
[00:12:09] Like, I mean, yeah, it was all very weird.
[00:12:12] And then, you know, he says she had to have an abortion because she cheated with you.
[00:12:21] And we like, well, wait, what?
[00:12:23] Wait, what?
[00:12:24] And Ink's like, I didn't know that.
[00:12:26] And you can visibly see Mia getting upset about this.
[00:12:31] And it just is uncomfortable.
[00:12:34] And mind you, although Mia loves her new condo, it's small.
[00:12:38] The kids is literally in the other room.
[00:12:40] And they are going back and forth.
[00:12:41] These kids can hear what's going on.
[00:12:44] Yeah, yeah.
[00:12:46] Yeah, kids pick up on those sort of things.
[00:12:49] I don't know.
[00:12:50] It was all very uncomfortable.
[00:12:52] And I don't know.
[00:12:53] He, we know that in the past he's had some, you know, issues with his mental and physical health.
[00:13:02] And it just, like, it's not helping.
[00:13:04] Like, I don't know.
[00:13:05] I don't know what his aim is of this conversation.
[00:13:09] Yeah.
[00:13:10] But it does not seem like it's anything positive.
[00:13:13] And I think the best thing for him was just, you know, finally, eventually he left.
[00:13:18] I think that was the best thing.
[00:13:19] He does say that, you know, he is not supporting, you know, their relationship.
[00:13:24] Which.
[00:13:24] Well, yeah.
[00:13:25] And that was the big thing.
[00:13:27] That he said that he did not want to film with ink.
[00:13:30] Because he felt like Mia was trying to paint this narrative.
[00:13:34] Like, Gordon is okay with ink.
[00:13:37] And Gordon's like, I'm not filming with him.
[00:13:39] But I wanted to, like, tap the screen and say, Gordon, you're filming with him.
[00:13:45] Like, so that's another thing.
[00:13:47] Like, again, your words do not match your actions.
[00:13:51] I'm like, you say you're not filming.
[00:13:52] But, you know, what's the best way to say you're not filming?
[00:13:55] Not to film.
[00:13:57] Not to film.
[00:13:58] Look.
[00:14:00] That's it.
[00:14:01] What's the best way not to see ink?
[00:14:04] Get another apartment in another condo?
[00:14:07] So, like, he does not know what he actually wants.
[00:14:11] I think.
[00:14:12] I mean, and it's okay to be torn.
[00:14:14] It's okay to be torn.
[00:14:15] But that's not to.
[00:14:17] You know, but that's not to it.
[00:14:20] And so I think that's really the problem with me is that, like, Gordon goes back and forth.
[00:14:25] You know, one day he okay.
[00:14:26] One day he not okay.
[00:14:28] One day he needs to know the exact number of times that they have adulterized.
[00:14:32] And then, you know, the next day he given her permission.
[00:14:36] As we slither our way on into episode eight, I don't really, like, I understand, yes, Gordon has some mental health issues.
[00:14:47] But I don't really know if it's Gordon going back and forth or if it's Mia going back and forth.
[00:14:53] And we can get to that.
[00:14:55] I think they all going back and forth.
[00:14:56] Yeah, I think it's a lot that we are going to uncover.
[00:15:00] Yeah.
[00:15:01] And Gordon does say at the end of episode seven, he acts ink flat out.
[00:15:05] Does he feel like Jeremiah is his son?
[00:15:08] Ink says he does.
[00:15:09] And so that's like, oh, okay.
[00:15:11] Well, I don't know.
[00:15:13] Yeah.
[00:15:13] So and I also get confused about this.
[00:15:16] If he is talking about biologically or like he feels like, oh, I treat him like a son.
[00:15:20] But I think I think he thinks talking by a lot of, you know, let's get the boy.
[00:15:24] Let's get the paternity.
[00:15:25] It doesn't take that long.
[00:15:26] It doesn't take that long.
[00:15:27] You know, I'm a social worker, baby.
[00:15:28] I can have those results back tomorrow.
[00:15:31] But as we slither our way onto episode eight, we have a GNA event.
[00:15:36] Now, GNA has come a long way.
[00:15:39] It's a remix.
[00:15:41] It's kind of like She by Sharae, but lifestyle brand.
[00:15:44] But with fashions.
[00:15:45] Look, but with fashions.
[00:15:46] Okay.
[00:15:47] Now we're not focusing on the fashion.
[00:15:49] Now GNA is GNA Fusion, a lifestyle brand.
[00:15:54] Lifestyle and wellness.
[00:15:55] Okay.
[00:15:56] All right.
[00:15:58] GNA Fusion sound like a Celsius drink.
[00:16:00] Like I was like, oh, they're going to come out with an energy drink.
[00:16:03] But it is good to see that Giselle is keeping her word with the National Brain and Tumor Society,
[00:16:10] still raising funds in honor of her late father.
[00:16:12] They had this wellness event that the majority of the girls come to.
[00:16:16] Karen is supposed to come, but she does not come.
[00:16:19] And they do a little workout and it's great.
[00:16:21] But the highlight.
[00:16:24] Oh, the highlight.
[00:16:27] The highlight of the GNA event was the halftime show.
[00:16:32] Now, mind you, over the summer while the ladies were filming, there was a fan that was on a hotel roof and they captured this little clip that I sent to Jatia right away.
[00:16:41] I said, ooh, look, it looks like Ashley is going to be performing her song.
[00:16:45] And unfortunately, Ashley was performing her song.
[00:16:51] Healing and thriving.
[00:16:54] Thriving and healing.
[00:16:56] Now, let me ask you this before you even respond.
[00:17:01] Are you missing Candace Dillard yet?
[00:17:05] I'm staying with Tardy for the party.
[00:17:07] Look, what Giselle made fun of as Ashley's song was better than Ashley's song.
[00:17:16] Like, she was like, oh, I did this remix to make it more uppy.
[00:17:20] I was like, no, it is still horrible.
[00:17:21] I was like, nobody wants to dance, girl, to you singing.
[00:17:25] I think less you singing, more bop.
[00:17:28] Okay?
[00:17:29] Put more bop in the top.
[00:17:31] Okay?
[00:17:31] I don't know.
[00:17:33] And she's like, I don't understand.
[00:17:35] Like, girl.
[00:17:36] Ooh.
[00:17:36] Listen.
[00:17:37] Listen.
[00:17:38] I feel like Ashley has a voice and all you have to have is a voice and in the studio you can have a voice.
[00:17:45] Now, I was cracking up at Stacey when they were in the confessionals asking Stacey, like, what did you think about Ashley singing?
[00:17:52] And Stacey was like, well, she really tried hard to get those notes out.
[00:17:58] I was like, see, this is part of the reason why I am warming up to Stacey.
[00:18:04] Stacey, God love her.
[00:18:06] It's the most positive woman I've ever met on Real Housewives of Potomac.
[00:18:12] But no.
[00:18:13] It was horrible.
[00:18:15] Like, she just needs to sing less.
[00:18:17] Sing way less.
[00:18:18] And I think the thing is, is that she put too much confidence in the fact that people want to hear her sing.
[00:18:26] Well, I mean, they say fake it till you make it.
[00:18:29] So, listen.
[00:18:29] I'm not mad.
[00:18:30] But nobody wants to actually hear her sing.
[00:18:33] That's the thing.
[00:18:34] Like, her voice is not good enough for that.
[00:18:36] People want to just hear her sing.
[00:18:38] We want to hear a bop and just have Ashley associated in, like, dancing with it.
[00:18:43] Now, let me see if she got her song.
[00:18:45] Because, you know, I like to support the Housewives.
[00:18:47] Let me see if Healing and Thriving has made its way.
[00:18:50] Okay.
[00:18:51] See if the DC remix.
[00:18:56] What's the, I forgot the style.
[00:18:59] Go-Go.
[00:19:00] Oh, Go-Go.
[00:19:01] Yeah, the Go-Go remix is up there.
[00:19:03] Hold on.
[00:19:03] Let's see.
[00:19:04] Let's check Ashley Darby.
[00:19:06] Okay.
[00:19:06] So, she ain't released a single yet.
[00:19:08] Okay.
[00:19:09] They doing another remix.
[00:19:11] Don't do it.
[00:19:12] Don't.
[00:19:13] But, in other Potomac news, we brought up Candace.
[00:19:17] Candace did a People magazine spread and revealed that, I believe, in early October, she gave birth to her baby.
[00:19:25] Her, Chris, and the baby are doing well.
[00:19:27] She did talk about how she loved pregnancy, the whole journey.
[00:19:31] She did talk about how postpartum is very real.
[00:19:34] And, you know, just seeing Candace happy and joyful.
[00:19:38] You know, I always agree with my girl, Candace, but I definitely do miss her this season.
[00:19:42] And, you know, we are wishing Candace the baby and Chris really well.
[00:19:46] At the end of this G&A fusion, dance performance, health and wellness.
[00:19:53] Was it really a dance performance?
[00:19:56] Or was it like a yodeling?
[00:19:58] I mean, you know, listen, we're healing and thriving.
[00:20:01] Mia sits the girls down.
[00:20:04] And here's the thing.
[00:20:05] I know we're filming a reality show.
[00:20:06] And I know that some of these things are, like, planned.
[00:20:09] And, like, but this conversation that Mia had to get the girls together to tell them this was kind of weird.
[00:20:15] So Mia tells the ladies that everything isn't great with Gordon and Inc.
[00:20:20] And that they got into this big fight.
[00:20:22] Gordon had said that he revealed that she had to have a miscarriage.
[00:20:26] And, you know, one, Mia body, her choice, she could do whatever she wants.
[00:20:29] Nobody needs to put that on blast.
[00:20:31] And Mia just really revealed to the ladies that, like, she's struggling right now.
[00:20:34] And that she is saying that Gordon is in a manic state and it is weighing a lot on her.
[00:20:40] The ladies offer her sympathy.
[00:20:43] And it is interesting because that comes back later in the episode.
[00:20:52] Then we get to see the grand dame.
[00:20:55] So here's the thing about Black people and especially Black celebrities and especially Black women celebrities.
[00:21:01] Regardless of, like, the, like, I just love.
[00:21:04] Now, I don't like to see Black women in the court system.
[00:21:07] But what I do love is the Black women fashion when they have to go to court.
[00:21:12] Okay?
[00:21:13] Because Karen, I was feeling that, you know, very Demi, very classy, pencil black shirt with the collar.
[00:21:21] So she looks amazing.
[00:21:21] And so did Ray.
[00:21:22] You know what?
[00:21:23] It was giving me very Godfather vibes of, like, of how they were dressed.
[00:21:28] You know, like, it felt like they were very official.
[00:21:31] So, look, both of them, when they do dress up, they look fabulous.
[00:21:35] So the court fashion, she was hitting on.
[00:21:38] Okay?
[00:21:38] It wasn't, it wasn't too much.
[00:21:40] It wasn't, you know, she ain't had none of this.
[00:21:42] Look, it was very, very much.
[00:21:44] Very holy.
[00:21:44] Very first lady.
[00:21:47] Her and, her and, I'm about to say Uncle Ben, not Uncle Ben.
[00:21:51] Her and Ray are sitting down waiting, I guess, for their driver to come take them to court.
[00:21:58] And in previous episodes, Karen has said that she doesn't really feel like Ray supports her.
[00:22:03] And I felt like in this moment when she's talking to Ray and she's like, you know, are you ready for the day?
[00:22:10] And Ray's like, I'd rather be golfing.
[00:22:12] I'm like, bruh.
[00:22:14] Like, I could be getting put to jail today.
[00:22:18] I think he's so used to being the center of attention.
[00:22:20] He doesn't even know how to be supportive.
[00:22:23] And also, I think he's like embarrassed.
[00:22:26] Be quite honest.
[00:22:28] Well, listen, Karen was embarrassed when she found out he ain't paid him taxes.
[00:22:31] Karen was embarrassed.
[00:22:32] She held him down, though.
[00:22:34] She held him down.
[00:22:35] And on the last episode, episode seven, Karen talks about this, how when Ray went through all of this, she was his ride or die.
[00:22:42] When she had to move houses, sell her houses to free up some asset or free up some money, they moved houses.
[00:22:51] She took the brunt of it.
[00:22:52] She didn't tell the girls.
[00:22:53] He's not in Potomac.
[00:22:55] Ew.
[00:22:56] Okay.
[00:22:57] And all of the things in which the ladies had questioned Karen about her moves and how they didn't make sense.
[00:23:04] I feel like in this episode, Karen really revealed that like she was going through some ish and she was riding with her man, Ray.
[00:23:10] And she's expecting the same thing.
[00:23:14] And while Karen was packing up the house to move to free up some cash, Karen about to go to court.
[00:23:21] And now Ray talking about going playing golf.
[00:23:24] Yeah.
[00:23:25] I didn't like that.
[00:23:26] And I felt bad for her at that time.
[00:23:29] But, you know, like, I think it's I think he's been consistent.
[00:23:33] I think he's been very consistent on that one.
[00:23:35] Oh, oh, Jensia, I took this note specifically for you.
[00:23:39] Why I love the grand dom.
[00:23:41] Do you remember the scene where she's making her coffee and she's in her black pencil skirt and they're waiting the day of the court?
[00:23:48] Did you see what the camera zoomed in on?
[00:23:51] No way.
[00:23:53] Girl, not they zoomed in on a three week.
[00:23:56] La Dom can.
[00:23:59] And I'm going back and I am going to capture that.
[00:24:03] Look, La Dom don't play.
[00:24:05] OK, La Dom, when she say three week, baby, it's going to be three week.
[00:24:09] I know that's right.
[00:24:10] Wendy could never.
[00:24:13] The ladies get together for lunch to, I guess, talk about everything that's going on with Karen.
[00:24:20] And again, we just see these constant jabs by Mia.
[00:24:23] Giselle is like, I'm going to call Karen.
[00:24:25] Mia's like text at first and make sure she not drunk.
[00:24:27] Like Mia, like girl.
[00:24:30] You know what?
[00:24:31] It's you know what Mia gives me.
[00:24:33] I just made this parallel.
[00:24:36] She gives me Dorinda on New York.
[00:24:39] Right.
[00:24:40] Really?
[00:24:40] Let me tell you.
[00:24:41] Make it nice.
[00:24:43] Make it nice.
[00:24:44] Look, I did.
[00:24:45] I did all this for y'all.
[00:24:46] I made it nice.
[00:24:48] And y'all come up in here cutting the food.
[00:24:50] Look.
[00:24:51] I baked a cake.
[00:24:53] Girl.
[00:24:53] I baked a cake.
[00:24:54] First of all, Dorinda is classic.
[00:24:55] I love me some Dorinda.
[00:24:56] Okay.
[00:24:57] Dorinda be losing her shit.
[00:25:00] Like Dorinda loses it when she loses it.
[00:25:03] And so I feel like the whole Dorinda Mia thing is because Mia has like nothing to lose
[00:25:11] and nothing to look forward to.
[00:25:13] And then she be cutting her friends like to the quick, like if there's one thing that
[00:25:18] you like, there's, you know, only a couple of things in Housewives that you cannot like
[00:25:22] and going to jail is one.
[00:25:24] Like, you should never throw your friend under the bus.
[00:25:27] Like, you should never throw your not friend under the bus about going to jail.
[00:25:30] Jail is real, real, real, real, real, you know?
[00:25:34] And I feel like that's what like her and Dorinda, like they don't really have that many things
[00:25:39] in their life to go for.
[00:25:41] So they just like cut people quick about stuff that shouldn't be.
[00:25:45] So that's, that's, that's my parallel.
[00:25:47] I do watch a lot of people recapping Housewives on TikTok.
[00:25:51] I enjoy it.
[00:25:52] And there is a large consensus that people feel like Mia is trashing.
[00:25:59] Just like, I don't want to say the legacy, but she is just kind of like declassifying
[00:26:04] Real Housewives of Potomac.
[00:26:06] And people are saying she would be a better fit for love and hip hop.
[00:26:09] Now, I don't think Mia is.
[00:26:11] And they said.
[00:26:12] I don't think she, I don't think she that she, like, childlike.
[00:26:16] Cause yeah, I don't think she down there low.
[00:26:20] So yeah.
[00:26:21] But I'm like, I don't think Mia is declassing Potomac.
[00:26:25] Cause I actually feel like she is.
[00:26:27] She makes it interesting.
[00:26:28] She does.
[00:26:29] And she is one of the only Housewives that kind of like is open, whether we know if it's
[00:26:34] true or not.
[00:26:35] So it's like, yeah, I definitely think that Mia is coming in this season after sitting
[00:26:39] first seat at the reunion with a little bit of a chip and an ax to grind with these people.
[00:26:45] But at this brunch that we're having, Kiana reveals to the ladies that she spoke to Karen
[00:26:49] and the case is getting postponed.
[00:26:53] Yeah.
[00:26:54] Dot, dot, dot.
[00:26:56] Hmm.
[00:26:57] Hmm.
[00:26:58] Yeah.
[00:26:59] And in the news and in real time when this happens, this is all over the news.
[00:27:03] And then, like I had said before, uh, her defense is now trying to get a lot of the
[00:27:09] evidence thrown out.
[00:27:10] Illegal search of Karen's car saying she never got read her Miranda rights.
[00:27:14] So, I mean, they are really trying to, you know, and listen, if you got the coin and sometimes
[00:27:19] I feel like our legal system is really, it's, it's not really.
[00:27:22] Who has the money to do a good job?
[00:27:25] Yeah.
[00:27:25] Yeah.
[00:27:26] Okay.
[00:27:26] Who could file a motion?
[00:27:27] Who could do this and that?
[00:27:28] And so it's like, listen, we will see what happens with the grand dime.
[00:27:32] We also, this episode, okay.
[00:27:34] Uh, we get to see Uncle Lump, uh, with Ashley and Ashley is letting them know that she started
[00:27:41] the process of mediation to get through the divorce.
[00:27:44] And like, she's just kind of like realizing like, wow, this is the last time I'm going
[00:27:47] to see Michael in this essence as my husband.
[00:27:52] However, Ashley, that's been three years.
[00:27:53] Girl, we don't care about the mediation.
[00:27:55] Let it go, girl.
[00:27:55] Girl, let us go.
[00:27:56] Right.
[00:27:57] You don't have six boyfriends since you, like, why are you still married?
[00:28:02] Why are you still married?
[00:28:02] Come on, girl.
[00:28:03] Give it up.
[00:28:04] Yeah.
[00:28:04] Like, let us know when a divorce is final, girl.
[00:28:06] We don't care about this.
[00:28:07] Okay.
[00:28:07] Because listen, here's the thing.
[00:28:09] I want to see Michael.
[00:28:11] Okay.
[00:28:11] Like, I want to see Michael.
[00:28:12] I don't want to see you talking about this without Michael.
[00:28:14] Okay.
[00:28:14] Uh, I want to see Michael and we know Michael is not filming.
[00:28:17] Um, and so.
[00:28:19] I wouldn't blame him.
[00:28:20] Why?
[00:28:21] What is he at?
[00:28:22] What?
[00:28:22] Look, that show, uh, well, I guess he got his name out there, but not in a good
[00:28:26] way.
[00:28:27] Well, I mean, he did that to himself.
[00:28:28] Why are you pinching producers' butts?
[00:28:30] Okay.
[00:28:57] Or, anyway.
[00:29:00] I don't know.
[00:29:01] I don't know.
[00:29:01] I am celibate.
[00:29:03] I'm saving myself for marriage.
[00:29:05] So, I don't know anything about any of those things.
[00:29:07] And so, you know, whenever TJ is ready, give me a call.
[00:29:11] We get to me.
[00:29:12] We get to Wendy's birthday party, which looks super dope.
[00:29:15] I can't even, like, I love the Blanco theme, everybody all in white, uh, at Wendy's white
[00:29:21] party.
[00:29:22] Mia speaks to Wendy's mom and Baybag.
[00:29:25] Now, I don't always agree with Wendy's mom.
[00:29:27] But one thing that I can agree with, with me, uh, Wendy's mom is since Dottie has clocked
[00:29:33] out, Wendy's mom.
[00:29:35] Susan has clocked in.
[00:29:37] She got her allowance, honey.
[00:29:40] And she is, you know, that is her payment to be on this show.
[00:29:44] I don't know what you thought that Susan was going to say.
[00:29:48] Have you not seen the show, girl?
[00:29:50] Did you think Susan was going to go gently into that good night, honey?
[00:29:53] No, she was going to bring you, bring you round, okay?
[00:29:57] You at my daughter party?
[00:29:58] You at my daughter?
[00:30:00] Look, uh-uh.
[00:30:01] Look, Susan, I'm with you, girl.
[00:30:03] Mia thought she was going to be cute and be like, hey, how you doing?
[00:30:06] Susan was like, uh-huh.
[00:30:08] And you, you said I was a bird.
[00:30:10] You said this and that.
[00:30:11] She said, no, I prayed for you.
[00:30:13] And I will, can I say, oh, get all together.
[00:30:15] And Wendy was really like-
[00:30:17] Holy spirit, my God.
[00:30:19] Remember she said that?
[00:30:20] Like, girl.
[00:30:21] I was like, okay.
[00:30:23] Yeah.
[00:30:24] Uh, it's interesting.
[00:30:26] Uh, Wendy's party happens to be on the actual day of Ashley's party.
[00:30:31] Uh, so Ashley was feeling some type of way.
[00:30:32] But baby, one of the main stars at the party was TJ.
[00:30:35] We got to see a little zesty side of TJ.
[00:30:38] TJ ain't appreciate-
[00:30:40] Look, TJ say y'all mad at Jesus.
[00:30:43] And I don't know what to do to help you with that.
[00:30:45] Look, okay?
[00:30:46] He said she left me.
[00:30:48] You're like, you left me.
[00:30:49] And Stacey's like, I'm sorry, it was with the ladies.
[00:30:51] And I guess Stacey tried to touch his legs and like, come on down.
[00:30:53] He said, don't touch me.
[00:30:54] Y'all said, ooh.
[00:30:56] I see queen, honey.
[00:30:57] Okay.
[00:30:59] Okay.
[00:31:00] Come get up.
[00:31:01] Okay.
[00:31:01] I was confused about that.
[00:31:05] Um, and so then Wendy has a grand entrance on one of those car boat things.
[00:31:10] But like, I thought the grand entrance was supposed to be an entrance.
[00:31:14] Not we watching you from afar do Heelys in the water.
[00:31:19] Like, yeah, girl, you ain't eat with that, Wendy.
[00:31:21] But your party looked amazing.
[00:31:23] You looked beautiful.
[00:31:24] She did.
[00:31:25] So, give me, let me, let me circle back and give her her props.
[00:31:29] She looked amazing.
[00:31:30] She has been coming with it.
[00:31:32] Like, she's never been a slouch, but she's really been stepping it up.
[00:31:35] So, I'll say that.
[00:31:37] Love being there.
[00:31:38] And then, you know, Ashley asked Karen how everything went.
[00:31:41] Karen said, oh, I can't talk about it.
[00:31:43] Ray was there.
[00:31:44] And Ray was like, well, what I can say is, Karen was like, we can't talk about it.
[00:31:47] Ray was like, but I can't.
[00:31:48] Karen was like, we can't talk about it.
[00:31:50] Okay.
[00:31:52] Listen, Karen says, you're not going to make this storyline your storyline.
[00:31:55] I will shut it down.
[00:31:57] I said, okay, grandom.
[00:31:59] Okay.
[00:32:00] We see you now.
[00:32:02] I like that.
[00:32:02] She saved him.
[00:32:04] And her court case.
[00:32:04] She really did.
[00:32:05] Look, and her court case.
[00:32:06] Go ahead.
[00:32:09] Wendy's family and Wendy and Eddie's family didn't really integrate well.
[00:32:15] They seemed to get along with Eddie and Wendy.
[00:32:18] But it didn't seem like Wendy's family and Eddie's family came together.
[00:32:21] But, you know, listen.
[00:32:22] Black family.
[00:32:23] Baby steps.
[00:32:24] Baby steps.
[00:32:26] Yeah.
[00:32:26] So the fact that they were even there.
[00:32:28] On New Jersey, when Teresa and her brother get together, they get to fighting.
[00:32:34] They get to, you know.
[00:32:35] Real quick.
[00:32:36] Are you team Teresa or are you team Melissa?
[00:32:41] I'm team none of them.
[00:32:42] Look, I'm so sorry.
[00:32:44] I can't be on either of them.
[00:32:45] All right.
[00:32:45] Well, because we know the right side is team Teresa.
[00:32:48] So anyway, just curious about that.
[00:32:49] Also thought it was funny when they were trying to get the photos.
[00:32:52] I don't know if this was editing or not.
[00:32:55] But Eddie Stanley was getting out to take the photos.
[00:32:58] And it looked like Wendy called her mom over.
[00:33:00] Her mom said, no, thank you.
[00:33:02] I said.
[00:33:03] She's like, I didn't get my allowance for this part.
[00:33:06] I didn't get my allowance for a picture.
[00:33:08] I didn't get my picture allowance.
[00:33:09] In true Bravo fashion.
[00:33:11] They saved what they piped up for a week and a half in the trailer for the last 30 seconds
[00:33:17] at Wendy's parties.
[00:33:19] The ladies are all together.
[00:33:20] And Giselle brings up to Wendy like, Wendy, I got a question for you.
[00:33:23] Because you said that Inc.
[00:33:26] said last week that he would fall back if it would do good for the family, if he is triggering
[00:33:34] to Gordon for the sake of the family.
[00:33:37] Why after the GNA fusion, a la carte, health and wellness extravaganza, did you set us down
[00:33:45] and tell us all of this stuff?
[00:33:47] And the very next day, you are posting a photo of Inc.
[00:33:52] and Gordon at the pool taking shots with the kids.
[00:33:58] Look, so many things.
[00:34:00] I told you, all of them are flippy floppers, wishy-washers.
[00:34:03] And like, the thing I didn't like about this was like, why you got to bring the kids into a Giselle?
[00:34:09] Right.
[00:34:10] It's like, why are you making...
[00:34:11] Wait, you're saying Giselle or Mia?
[00:34:13] Giselle!
[00:34:15] No, because...
[00:34:15] I don't think she should have brought that up.
[00:34:17] And like...
[00:34:18] I do, because at the head of two party, when Giselle said, you're not protecting your kids,
[00:34:26] and we all was like, whoa, that's a little low blow.
[00:34:28] I feel like we're eight episodes in, and I'm kind of, you know, y'all gonna say I'm always
[00:34:33] on Giselle's side, but I agree with Giselle.
[00:34:35] Like, you're...
[00:34:36] Like, you are actively making your children a part of this Inc.
[00:34:43] and Gordon mess.
[00:34:44] Like, girl, don't do it.
[00:34:46] But do you think she needs to talk about that on the damn TV show, or do you think that's
[00:34:49] just stirring up more stuff?
[00:34:51] What do you mean?
[00:34:53] Because she...
[00:34:54] Look, if you think I'm not protecting my kids, and you get on this podcast, and that's
[00:34:58] the time you decide to bring it up, we gonna have a...
[00:35:01] Well, you...
[00:35:02] But...
[00:35:02] Okay, but...
[00:35:03] Yeah, but if you bring up your kids on this podcast and say that they not doing well in
[00:35:08] school, and your husband ain't helping out, and then I see that your husband is on the PTA
[00:35:13] meeting, doing the homework, going to school, and you're not there, then I have a right
[00:35:17] to bring it back up to you and say, what are you talking about?
[00:35:20] Yes, yes, but not on this damn podcast.
[00:35:24] Ding, what a bell?
[00:35:25] Ding, ding the bell.
[00:35:26] Thank you.
[00:35:28] I don't...
[00:35:29] I agree.
[00:35:30] You know, listen...
[00:35:31] So, yeah, so there is a little balance.
[00:35:33] I hear what you're saying.
[00:35:34] Yes, she should bring it up, but, like, if that's truly, yo, yo, you know, you really
[00:35:39] care...
[00:35:40] Her is housewives.
[00:35:41] That's true.
[00:35:41] That's true.
[00:35:42] You know, that's true.
[00:35:43] But, um, the whole point was, I think Giselle was trying to be messy.
[00:35:47] She wasn't trying to be helpful.
[00:35:49] Well, I think messy, but also, like, a really good point.
[00:35:52] And then, Mia drops the bomb and says that she would want the fathers...
[00:36:00] Plural.
[00:36:02] The fathers of her children to get along.
[00:36:06] And everybody said, what?
[00:36:08] Look, I think she'd be playing that up.
[00:36:12] And once again, she has played it up just to get that reaction.
[00:36:15] Because she could mean, like, you know, like, me and I are planning to, about to maybe get
[00:36:22] on fiance for three years.
[00:36:23] No, they ain't doing that.
[00:36:24] She said fathers.
[00:36:26] Like, what?
[00:36:27] Huh?
[00:36:27] Yeah, like, they're both daddies.
[00:36:29] Like, they're both...
[00:36:29] And so, again, yet again, you are bringing the kids back up into this by saying, like,
[00:36:35] it's like, you doing a lot, Mia.
[00:36:36] But listen, hey, I mean...
[00:36:38] She is.
[00:36:38] I was tuned in.
[00:36:40] I was locked in.
[00:36:41] I said, oh, okay.
[00:36:43] Well, Bravo's last five seconds of this.
[00:36:45] I guess we'll have to wait till next week.
[00:36:48] But all in all...
[00:36:49] But she's trying to get first chair again on that couch.
[00:36:51] And this is how she does it.
[00:36:53] Like, she ain't got no businesses.
[00:36:54] Remember, she had...
[00:36:55] She set up that location.
[00:36:57] But she no longer is...
[00:36:59] You know, they have a family business.
[00:37:00] Yes.
[00:37:01] So, like, this is...
[00:37:02] Unfortunately, and I hate...
[00:37:04] I hate this.
[00:37:05] This is the family business.
[00:37:07] Mm-hmm.
[00:37:08] Mm-hmm.
[00:37:09] Well, I mean...
[00:37:12] Nobody wins when the family feuds.
[00:37:14] But speaking of family, I hope everyone has an amazing Thanksgiving this weekend.
[00:37:20] Or this weekend this week.
[00:37:22] And you spend time with your family because time is very precious and it's important to
[00:37:27] make memories.
[00:37:28] And we are so grateful that you support and watch us.
[00:37:31] Absolutely.
[00:37:32] I hope that you enjoy your turkey day and that, you know, you spend time with all of your fathers.
[00:37:39] If you have, you know, multiple fathers.
[00:37:42] And other important people in your family.
[00:37:45] And I can't wait to hear, you know, more about this definition of father.
[00:37:50] Yes.
[00:37:51] I can't wait either.
[00:37:52] Well, we'll be back in two weeks covering episodes nine and ten.
[00:37:56] This has been your Real Housewives of Potomac coverage of season nine, seven, and eight.
[00:38:01] Thanks for listening.
[00:38:02] Bye.
[00:38:04] Bye.
[00:38:04] Bye.
[00:38:04] Happy Thanksgiving.
[00:38:29] Happy Thanksgiving.
