We're diving into the Jay-Z reasonable doubt 30th anniversary celebration, reflecting on his career in New York. We're talking about the performances. Yes, we're talking about Miss Beyonce. We're talking
[00:01:50] about when is Act 3 going to drop. What are the correlations? Blue Ivy, Jay-Z, Destiny's Child, Lady Gaga. What's happening? We want to know. We're also breaking down the newest development in the Nolan Wells case before tuning the conversations around Taco Bell and the recent outbreak of explosive
[00:02:17] diarrhea, the public impact, and, you know, just our government in general. Also, we welcome LeBron James to Philadelphia. This and so much more. Let's get into this month's casual tea.
[00:03:09] What's up, everybody? And welcome back to the Purple Pants Podcast. Casual tea for the month of July. Although July might almost be over, my friend and journalist, I want to say investigative journalist, Mr. Justin Carter has graced our presence again for another casual tea. So welcome back to the podcast, Justin. Bryce, thank you so much for having me. It is great to see you as always. Hi.
[00:03:38] How are you? How has, I think we talked late May, early June. How has the rest of your summer been treating you? Good, good. I just came back from vacation. I went to Lisbon and Morocco. Yes. I'm burnt to a crisp, if you can't tell, but I got, I'm like peeling everywhere. There's all types of skin, dry skin peeling off my body, but I'm here. I'm good. Yes. How is Lisbon? I've
[00:04:08] never been to Morocco. That's on my list, but I've been to Lisbon. Beautiful. Beautiful. Love Lisbon. And Morocco is only an hour and a half away from... Flight? I'm assuming a flight, right? Yes, flight. Okay. So it was amazing. I mean, talk about culture shift. We went from European city to a completely different world. And it was, you know, of course it's mostly Muslim. It's a Muslim country.
[00:04:36] And yeah, beautiful, beautiful. It was amazing. I love that. The mountains, everything. What with the world cup being officially over and with the United States hosting the world cup, you know, a lot of us Americans were nervous because we're like, you know, in the international
[00:04:59] community, we already have a bad rat, uh, just as Americans being like unfriendly, fat, rude. And they always talk about like our processed foods and all of that stuff. And so it was really interesting while the world cup was going on. Did you see any of like the content of the Europeans and people from other countries that were coming to the United States and being blown away by our fast food,
[00:05:29] by our food, Chick-fil-A, Chili's. Ranch. Ranch took a... I mean, ranch is number one in their eyes. I'm like, what are you talking about? Y'all never had ranch before? It is like gold to them. Okay. So the point USA had to issue some, some, listen, don't, don't put no ranch in your carry on. Uh, when some of it was hosted in Miami, a lot of the people were like, oh, the Americans, they're so
[00:05:57] fit. They're so friendly. Like they were shocked at how friendly we were, how fit we were. And they also, and I guess in perspective, so one watching those videos, I loved it, right? Because people were literally thinking the worst. And sometimes you really should think of the worst of what's going on in our country. But it was like really kind of like, so interesting where people are like,
[00:06:21] I see why people love America. And so it has been kind of like really great just to see the people's perspective. And also just people not knowing. And I guess we take for granted, right? Like our country is big, right? Like, and I don't look at it as big because it's just our country,
[00:06:46] right? And so again, you just were in Europe. I've traveled to Europe. I love Europe. I think one of the first times I went, I was like, we've been lied to, right? Like where we always like America, we're the strongest, smartest, like the infrastructure in Europe is so, I feel like user friendly. It's like their subway system. It's like, it's just, I just thought like, wow, America
[00:07:09] could take notes. But like you said, Morocco from Lisbon, only an hour flight away. And people that were coming to the U.S. that were like going to all the different cities. One person was like in LA and they're like, oh, we're going to drive. I forget what state they were going to, but they figured like, oh, back home driving to another state, 45 minutes an hour. I think the GPS said like
[00:07:35] nine hours and 42 minutes, right? And so they were just so shocked at how big our country is and how like from New York to LA, the cultural differences, right? From like LA to Texas, from Texas to New York, how like we're one country, but like the cultural differences are so crazy. And it just really got
[00:08:00] me thinking like, I don't, I think that's something innate in me where it's like, we could go, I'm from Philadelphia. I could drive to New Jersey. I could stay in Pennsylvania and drive 40 minutes down the turnpike and I'm in Pensatucky. Right, right. Or we can go to New York City and we can go see a Broadway show and the, you know, the pop, most popping city in the world, um, which is two hours from Philly. So yeah, it is, it's definitely, it's, it's awesome. We don't really take it
[00:08:28] because we're from here. So we don't really see it through their lens, but, um, but yeah, no, it's, it's awesome. And I also think just living in the United States, we just have to kind of see it. I haven't, I haven't gone to Phoenix before. I want to see Phoenix and I want to see the Sedonas of the world where there's like red rocks and beautiful mountains. Like there's so much more to see in the United States. So it's encouraging me to do that. Yes. Or even like in our own backyard,
[00:08:56] like Philadelphia, Fairmount park. Do you know Fairmount park is the largest city park in the world? And like, I always argue with people that are from Philadelphia because Fairmount park is all throughout Philadelphia. Uh, but I always argue with people that are from Philly is that like, I feel like Fairmount park is one of the most untapped resources that like Philadelphia has that I don't
[00:09:24] feel like we invest in. Like if they were to invest, invest in Fairmount park, like it really could be an attraction. Like I love to hike and run. I haven't been running as often as I should. Uh, but like even in my own backyard, like the trails that it's just so much. And again, I think we just take for granted. So that was kind of, you know, if you traveling and just interesting. So if you're listening,
[00:09:51] go explore your backyard. Okay. Like, yeah, I feel bad for people who live in their own city and never leave. Like there's so much more to life than just where you are from, even beyond Philly, like, you know, drive to the shore. You'd be surprised how many people in Philly have never gone to the Jersey shore. Um, there's so much to do. Yeah. Yeah. And like you're all, you'd be surprised at how
[00:10:16] many people don't have a passport, uh, which is crazy. And again, in the times that we are in, uh, I think it is really important for you, uh, to have your passport. Now we're here for some casualty, not a lot going on, but enough to go on. And so I want to kind of dive right into some of the topics
[00:10:37] that we've got for you. And I just feel like Beyonce is home here on the Purple Pants podcast and the casualty. Uh, but Jay-Z's reasonable doubt album turned 30. And so Jay-Z is kind of back in the spotlight. I feel like Jay-Z said he retired twice, came back. And so he hasn't really been
[00:11:01] in the spotlight. You know, most people know him as Beyonce husband at this point. Uh, and so Jay-Z announced these shows in New York, uh, at the Yankee stadium. I believe it was like three shows, July 10th, July 11th and 12th, um, for reasonable doubt. And so at the show, Beyonce came out and you know, she sung can't not the hustle. And that has been my vocal stem
[00:11:28] for the last week and a half. It's interesting because we, I'm not a member of the beehive. I'm a beehive adjacent. Um, but I'm no, I'm not like, I'm more a destiny's child high. Like that's where I'm at. I'm not necessarily in the beehive. Like I'm not obsessed, but obviously,
[00:11:51] you know, I love Beyonce. And so she's had act one, she's had act two and people are wondering when the hell are we getting act three? And she released act one in 2022 act two in 2024. So people are assuming that it's going to be on the 26th. There's been so many think pieces. She released all of them. The first two albums on a Friday, the 29th, they're like, it's only
[00:12:20] one, two Fridays in 2026 on the 29th. We're assuming that it's going to be rock and roll. So we thought with her hosting the Met Gala that we would get some type of reference, but we didn't yet. We have her coming out, uh, at this Jay-Z concert. And if anybody know Beyonce, like we know Beyonce, there's Nick Beyonce. Okay. Cause she like her Popeyes.
[00:12:49] She do. And you can see it too. Mm-hmm. Delicious. Yes. And then there is tour body Beyonce. And so people, when we saw Beyonce performing with Jay-Z, uh, she was giving tour Beyonce. She was dropping it down. She was letting
[00:13:10] us know the knees are working. And there was also speculation that possibly she had some surgery on her knees too. Did you see that people were reading? I did. And she, and my, she said she, okay, she had her glasses and she was like, I got both of them done. Okay. And I was like, I was listening. Although we wasn't in the conversation, I was engaged.
[00:13:38] Yes. And Beyonce trolled the beehive and then put that clip of her mouthing that on her website, where she releases all her photos. But Jay-Z was at the Roots Picnic in Philadelphia, which is a huge, it's a big black festival in Philadelphia. It's always at like the end of May, early June. Jay-Z was the headliner. Again, it was like kicking off these series of dates for, uh, his reasonable doubt 30
[00:14:05] year anniversary. And while Jay-Z was in Philadelphia, he took his locks out. And, you know, what's sacred is Beyonce's hair product. And, you know, after, uh, after the Roots Picnic, Beyonce released the video, like a five minute video of her taking Jay-Z's locks out. Okay. She wanted, she wanted it to be known that no other woman was rubbing their hands through Jay's hair,
[00:14:34] but Beyonce and Blue Ivy. And so then when Jay-Z was at New York for these shows, he cut his hair and they posted a clip of Beyonce in the stand, cutting his hair. And people, again, the, the beehive, I call it the delulu hive because they're delusional. Like they come up with all of these theories and I'll be going along with it. But if I went along with it,
[00:15:00] we should have act three by now. So hard not to trust them. And so they showed us the image of Beyonce cutting his hair and it reminded them of the ape shit video with Jay-Z and Beyonce from the, I don't know if it was like the love album or is it the Carter album? The Carter album.
[00:15:26] And so when people saw that image, now they start speculating because everything Beyonce does is intentional, right? She, she loves to leave these Easter eggs all over the place. So people are speculating on the run three. Are we getting the Carter album is act three on the run three? Like people are like, Whoa, I don't, I don't want it. I don't want it either.
[00:15:52] But it's just very interesting. And then to fuel that after Jay-Z then announced three of the dates to add to this little tour lineup. One September 4th in London, September 10th in Paris and October 23rd in Los Angeles. Baby Beyonce birthday is September 4th. Wait, wait. So September 4th,
[00:16:21] something's going to happen you think? That's what people are speculating. Now hear me out. Okay. We have seen Blue Ivy on all two of Beyonce's tours. The first tour, she was only supposed to dance a little bit. Then the internet trolled her and Blue Ivy said, no, not today. And then on the second tour, Blue Ivy had a much larger role. Um, it felt like
[00:16:46] Beyonce was passing the torch, right? Where like Blue Ivy is incorporated in the show. Blue Ivy has these dance segments. Then on the last show, when Destiny's Child came out, Beyonce said, give it up for Destiny's Child. And then Blue Ivy came out. Interesting. So then at the Jay-Z stop, Blue Ivy was playing the piano. So now they're letting us know. Yes. So it's a musicality.
[00:17:16] Is she a triple threat? Cause we know she can dance. Now we know she can play the piano. What'd I say? The vocal. I need to hear a vocal. Are we going to hear, are we going to hear Farrah? Are we going to hear? Farrah. You can get your luggage. Okay. What are we going to hear? Are we going to hear a Latavia? A Latavia? No, no, no, no.
[00:17:44] But hear me out though, because you know, we don't hear Blue Ivy talk much. Mm-mm. Like there've been some clips of her like talking, so whatever, but we don't really hear Blue Ivy talk much. And I don't think that that is, I think that's on purpose. Yeah. I don't think it's by accident, right? Like, and so again,
[00:18:09] now people are then speculating could act three potentially be like the dynasty, the family, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Blue Ivy. Where's the rock album? Okay. Cause most people are speculating a rock album. Yes. A lot of people are. A lot of people are. Although I haven't gotten any eggs to,
[00:18:35] or crumbs to lead me to believe that it's going to be a rock album. Well, she, yes. Are you, the purple, you didn't see the purple little thing she posted to her page. You don't, and people are like correlating that to Prince. Do you see this outfit Miss Mamas has on? They are saying,
[00:19:00] those are Tina Turner pants. And people have pulled up a clip of Tina and Ike performing on stage and Tina got this outfit on. And so that more leads the Delulu hive to believe that, are we getting another on the run tour? Are we getting another Carter album? So people are just up in arms. Like what is next? Then Justin, I ain't done. Buckle up. Okay.
[00:19:27] So then we know Beyonce on 4th of July released. Don't get on, get on, get on, get on, get on. Don't get on, get on. Morning do. Now they were saying that was supposed to be on the Get Me Body album and that the fans love that song. And they were always playing. First of all, bitch, I ain't never hear this shit. Okay. You ain't never hear it? No. Okay. I heard it a long time ago, but I forgot about it.
[00:19:52] And so she released it on 4th of July and in like the rollout of releasing it, they said it's in anticipation of the 20 year anniversary of B-Day. First of all, where did 20 years go? What songs were on B-Day again? Get Me Body, Upgrade You. We like to party. And fans.
[00:20:21] It's not me. It's the fans. I'm just reading. I'm just telling you what the fans say. So then the fans say, if you listen to the Get Me Body album, one, when she went on tour on the Get Me Body album, remember she had that all female band. And they were a rock band. Remember the lady with the afro? And like, and so, yes. And so they are saying that, hold on, let me just pull this up,
[00:20:50] that on the B-Day album, I think Beautiful Liar, Shakira, Green Light, Kitty Cat, Upgrade You, Flaws and All. I'm a worldwide woman. Now you were a little older, but... Girl. And you were a little... Not by much. You're my oldest brother.
[00:21:20] I'm 43 to be exact. We can. Well, happy birthday. Well, they are saying that on Deja Vu was the lead single for that. And on the extended version of Deja Vu, they're saying when you play it out, it has rock-esque in it. Also, September 4th is the 20-year anniversary of B-Day that Jay-Z is going to be doing this show.
[00:21:47] So, and if that doesn't have your britches in a bunch, Beyonce did a collaboration with Lady Gaga called Telephone. And in the video, they always teased a telephone too. We saw two years ago at the Super Bowl, Lady Gaga was there. She held up the number two and people were like, it's coming! And then in some of the visuals in Cowboy Carter,
[00:22:14] it led us to believe that we were getting a telephone part two. And then the dream and Lady Gaga last year confirmed it. But Bebe, the other day, on Song Registry, when people are rolling out songs, Bebe, Miss Beyonce uploaded Get Me Body
[00:22:44] featuring Lady Gaga. Oh, that's a remix. So, yes. And so, she is planning on re-releasing B-Day is what people are saying. But people are now speculating, maybe this is the telephone too, with Lady Gaga. And people are just a hype with Beyonce and Lady Gaga. But people are now speculating that she's re-recorded B-Day. Like, re-recorded the whole, you know,
[00:23:15] you know JoJo, get out right now. It's the end of, you know, she hadn't released new music in such a long time because she was in this, like, this horrible contract. And so, she kind of flipped it and she released her first three, she re-recorded and re-released her first three albums and put them out as albums in order for her to get out of her contract. So, people are now speculating that Beyonce is going to be, or she has re-recorded
[00:23:44] and re-released B-Day. Now, at the World Cup, Beyonce and Shakira took a photo together. We ain't seeing a photo with Beyonce and Shakira in years and we know Shakira is on B-Day. Beautiful liar. Listen, I'm just saying. Then, this is what the people is telling me and I'm telling you and I'm telling the posse. Then,
[00:24:13] an unnamed source took to the internet last week and essentially said that Beyonce has recorded Act 3, she's recorded an album with Jay-Z, she's recorded a solo R&B album and she's recorded a Destiny's Child album. Now, that's just fun. Like, we don't know that to be true but that's what people aren't saying, right? Then, Child, Matthew Knows is back up,
[00:24:43] back up in the press doing interviews. first of all, we are going to put a little respect on Matthew Knows' name though because, like, I always say this, if Matthew Knows was a white man, like, if Matthew Knows was Britney Spears' father, right? Like, the accolades and the respect that they would give Matthew, but like, again, Matthew's mushy. However, music world music, he has done
[00:25:13] amazing things. So, I just do want to put that on that. Yeah, I mean, yeah, like, yeah, music world music, he did the whole Trinity 5-7 managing Beyonce's tour. He managed, like, all them other artists. He still managed Destiny's Child. He built, like, we respect Matthew. Yeah. I respect him 100%. He be talking, though, and I thought to myself last week, like, I wonder if Beyonce
[00:25:43] is like that if you don't. Well, we know she's like that with her mom, Tina, when she's been on the internet. So, but Matthew did a podcast last week and he revealed that there is a new Destiny's Child project coming out. I want to say that, I forget what, I don't know if it's like Destiny's Child's 30-year anniversary. I think that could potentially be it and that they are readying
[00:26:12] this remix album. Now, also, I want y'all to know this. Matthew knows still owns, like, the name Destiny's Child and is still the manager. So, a lot of the times when you be seeing the Destiny's Child stuff, it's Matthew collecting a check, right? So, it's not, when you hear Destiny's Child, it's not always like, the girls. And which is why people have, like, speculated some reasons as to why, like, they haven't really
[00:26:41] recorded anything because they don't really want it to be attached with Matthew. But, Matthew did confirm that Kelly, Michelle, and Beyonce are all behind the project. He said it's going to be released in the next 30 days. 30 days and the countdown continues. That's what I'm trying to tell you. And so, can we pause for a second? Yes. Look at Michelle's face in that picture. Hold on, listen. Look. Michelle, my bell. Michelle, you look so
[00:27:10] damn good in that picture right there. We also need to put some more respect on Michelle Tenetria Williams because, again, Michelle has always been my favorite member of Destiny's Child. You know, and I think we talked about this last time that we podcasted, like, you know, you're the reason she blocked me on Twitter. But, we'll let that go. But, the other day I was looking at her. I'm going to call her and get you unblocked. Please. Thank you. But,
[00:27:40] Michelle's birthday was last week. And so, a lot of fans were like posting old images and videos of Michelle. And I'm like, I don't think we ever gave Michelle credit for the middle part, side part, bust downs that Michelle will, like, Michelle's hair always be on point. And I don't think, like, I don't think she gets enough credit, but we love Michelle. Look at it. The cleavage. Yes! She was serving. And this is from their Destiny's Child
[00:28:10] Survivor album run. And I'll never forget, this is, like, the first time we got to hear Michelle on this Survivor album. You're so nasty, girl. You're nasty. You're trashy. You're classy, girl. You're sleazy. You're freaky. And I don't know I don't know but then it's just put some clothes on there. Put some clothes. Okay, listen. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:28:40] This is the first time we heard Michelle's voice. And so. Well, my thing is the remixes. So are we going to get remixes with the the G Herbos? Are we getting the new wave of new artists in the remixes? We don't know. Or is this like stuff from 20, you know, from 20 years ago? Matthew did say in the podcast that it's some releases that we have heard and some remixes we've never heard. Again,
[00:29:09] he didn't really share are they re-recorded? Are they, are these just like, you know, I don't know if you remember Coco Jones and, you know, in one of the songs like emotion taking me over. Or what are we going to get? Or are we just going to get like the same, my name, a different stuff or the the bootylicious remix? Like, so I don't know. I love that remix. Listen, with Missy Elliott.
[00:29:39] Yes! In the video. okay. I can't handle this. It's that beat. And they were in the graffiti. Back when, back when remixes were remixes and like, it really remixed the whole song. So, we don't know. But, then there are other reports saying that they're readying a Destiny's Child tour. It's too much,
[00:30:09] Justin. I can't like, now first of all, now sign me up for the Destiny's Child tour because that's what I've been waiting for. Front row, I don't care how much it costs. I want to see Michelle pop up out that stage on that, you know, them things that they used to bounce up. I would pay thousands to see that. Because we ain't never getting it ever again after that. Well, and again,
[00:30:39] that's what scares me because, again, I've said this a lot where I feel like Act 3 is like Beyonce's goodbye to us. Like, where she, I don't believe she's going to put out as much music. I definitely don't believe she's going to tour like how she tours because if you listen to the music, she essentially says, like, better enjoy it while you have it. Beyonce doesn't want to be these artists respectfully like our girl Gladys Knight
[00:31:08] with dementia and her family has her out performing. And so, I would imagine that... And two knees that need to be replaced. Like, it's a lot on, you know, and it definitely opens my eyes to the fact that it is hard on her body and she's a human being. Like, can we just understand that Beyonce is a human with bones and a femur and an elbow and things that can break and, you know, stuff like that. So,
[00:31:38] you know, the fact that she allegedly got her knees done or had some surgery on her knees lets me know that she's definitely needing to slow down. Yeah. Yeah. And I feel like Act 3 will be her last go run it, go run of it in that capacity as a solo artist. But then I'm like, but then I can see her doing Destiny's Child. It's not as much work she has two other people. Kelly has multiple albums.
[00:32:08] Michelle has multiple albums. It's not like she would be doing a whole tour by herself. The on the run to like, you know, so there's just so much speculation around Beyonce, Jay-Z, Destiny's Child. And again, I was telling one of my best friends, I think you know, Dara, it all just can't be a coincidence. It can't be a coincidence that Matthew knows is randomly on this podcast saying Destiny's Child getting ready to release a remix album. Like,
[00:32:38] the Jay-Z Beyonce references. Jay-Z putting this date, September 4th, on his wife's birthday. Her re-releasing the 20-year anniversary of B-Day. You know, Michelle was on Broadway for two years and Death Becomes Her. Maybe her last show was July 3rd. She done. What's she doing? Kelly is allegedly readying new music that could drop at any time.
[00:33:08] She is getting ready or if not filming the Diana Summers biop... bi... biopic... biopic... biopic... biopic... biopic... biopic...
[00:33:50] biopic... Carter. We didn't expect it. And I'm... I'm struggling from Renaissance. Renaissance, I had never spent that much money on concert tickets for Renaissance. And then Cowboy Carter comes, I'm like, well, hold up. Hold up. And even talk about Beyonce slowing down. How she did Cowboy Carter was different than she did the Renaissance. She did, like, many residencies. Like, she did four, three and four shows in one city.
[00:34:20] So she wasn't traveling as much, right? Like, you know, she's working smarter and not harder. So again, that's why I'm saying, like, she really is kind of, like, telling us she's slowing down. But, girl, you ready in songs with Lady Gaga? It's just, what is happening? We need to know. I know. Well, you know what? Yvette's not gonna tell us nothing. I done tried. I done tried. Yvette is only good
[00:34:49] for not confirming stuff or saying stuff is not true. Can it really be a lie? Because it's, like, not true at that moment and then a week later stuff be coming out. So, who knows? And then it's like, and then don't even get to talking of the Blue Ivy of it all. Because there are those random songs that we were talking about before that got released on the day that people were speculating Beyonce was gonna drop something and they were like Blue Ivy songs.
[00:35:18] It's too much for me, y'all. It's a lot. It's a whole empire behind the scenes that we don't, they have meetings about this. They're gonna have meetings about this this week coming up. They're gonna have board meetings about what to do and when to release it and the symbolism of it all and what's gonna happen on September 4th. A few years late. She was doing that in 2020, 2023. Right, right. For 2026. People need to understand like all of this is pre-thought out.
[00:35:47] We just need to buckle up like you said and go for the ride. Go for the ride. And it's like I wanna cuss out the Delulu beehive because it's like y'all doing too much but also clearly I listen and I watch because I'm able to regurgitate all of this information to you. I just don't wanna get sucked in because they really did having me believe that like May 29th he was gonna get something. And lastly, I will say we do know she is preparing for a tour and I do believe
[00:36:17] next summer she probably will tour because when Jay-Z was doing an interview he was talking about how he doesn't want his young daughter Blue Ivy performing or like dancing to Six Inch Heels. It's a song off of Beyonce's I think Formation or Renaissance one of the albums but the fans quickly were like now hold a minute wait a minute JJ 16 Six Inch Heels
[00:36:48] was not on the set list of Cowboy Carter or the Renaissance. No it wasn't. So wait so who you arguing with about not having oh so y'all y'all readying the tour. That's why they don't be saying nothing they don't be doing no interviews because they will dissect we will dissect because they be slipping up you they do you let don't let Tina know don't let Tina know nothing
[00:37:18] I be living for Mama Tina's captions though she writes like how she talks and I be loving it and she love a good repost okay oh she do so I love me some Mama Tina I love it I love it I just love that we have them it's just like thinking just taking a step back like thank God for this generation of artists specifically Beyonce the Beyonce's like we have our Diana Ross
[00:37:48] you know we have our Michael Jackson and Beyonce and we have our Beyonce's and again I want my biggest flex to be when I'm shoving you shoving somewhere saying I went to act one act two or act three mm-hmm mm-hmm I'm interested to see what Gen Z who their Beyonce is gonna be Beyonce I don't see it I don't see anyone well listen who
[00:38:17] they're introducing Blue Ivy to us Blue Ivy I'm just I'm just saying we never know we'll have to wait and see I wasn't expecting to talk so long you said who Jojo Siwa maybe I'm just kidding girl we know okay you didn't have to tell us that but so transitioning from that I do want to just talk a little briefly on some updates
[00:38:47] on the Nolan Wells cakes Wendell and I talked about it on the Bryson Wynn Patreon if you're not following us on Patreon do yourself a favor Wendy Z and I key it up on the Patreon we a little more comfortable we scuts up but we talked about this case the Nolan Wells case if you have not heard I don't know where you've been but Nolan Wells was an 18 year old from Mississippi and on July 4th off of the Gulf Coast there is an island called Whore Island
[00:39:16] that most people they don't necessarily vacation to but like it's a little spot it's like a beach spot that people go to and so Nolan did not come home the friends said the last time they saw him was on the beach with a girl the girl said the last time she saw him was with friends they had his phone they didn't tell his mother when his mom found out she immediately called the police they had to go
[00:39:45] get the phone from the friends his car was there then when they got back his friends that he was on the trip with deactivated their social media accounts as did their parents they lawyered up we learned that one of the friends that he was with his mother is a district court judge in the town in which they live in then she released a
[00:40:58] Mississippi and we don't really need to go into yeah I think everybody can understand what it's like in Mississippi still I mean it's one of the last state to abolish slavery and just the confederacy the clan activity well the clan I believe was birthed in Mississippi but nevertheless right like I want to just say something terrible happened right it's a tragedy
[00:41:28] but the more and more we hear and learn about this case it seems off it doesn't seem right it just seems weird and people are like well what does race have to do with everything and we've seen this time and time again when black people something happens in a group of people and there's only one black person and
[00:41:58] all the other people are white no one knows what happens to the black person it's just no foul play said that day no foul play did you investigate in 30 minutes it was right and so that was the first red flag to me just as a journalist who works with sheriffs and works with police departments
[00:42:28] every single day there has to be some kind of investigation and you just cannot just openly say there's no foul play what do you mean there's no foul play if he drowned do you know how was he forcibly drowned was it because of the boat did the boat stall did you investigate you know did you check the engine like there's so many variables to this story and the reason why I haven't covered it yet on my platforms is because there's so many pieces right now there's so much
[00:42:57] speculation there's so much going on so many press conferences and Ben catch up I need when I investigate stuff I need things to die down a little bit to then take a look at the facts and then go after the players involved but there's so many questions that we don't know and yeah it
[00:43:27] is I think this is a big mystery right now it's not a mystery to me to me it's a cover up it has to be since the last time I talked with Wendell on our Patreon maybe like a week and a half ago since then the GPS coordinates we got from the boat we know that the boat left Horn Island it
[00:43:57] docked it then went somewhere else it then left the water it then came back to the water it then went somewhere and then dock somewhere else we do know that when the boys left Horn Island they were having engine trouble but they were taking on water and they called what I would assume is AAA for cars they had some type
[00:44:27] of membership so they people had brought up different cases where she's ruled accidental and no real investigation was done also did you know to be the state's medical examiner in Mississippi
[00:44:56] you know you just need a high school diploma and you know it's an appointed position by the governor it said like whoever is elected in that time like you know they appoint but it's appointed position and all you need is a high school diploma now you do have to take a training and pass it but all
[00:45:31] you right so again not that so that's just interesting and I just say that to say because with Warren's mom stepmom being a judge in the county and that means you have a relationship with the DA because I assume y'all would work together you have a relationship with the medical
[00:46:01] examiner's office you have a like I'm just saying in this tight knit community then Warren's stepmom releasing statements that kind of put a lot of people off putting where it's like y'all releasing statements but y'all wasn't out helping to look for your friend like you get back without your friend you don't call his mother you got you got back at like six o'clock you didn't notify his mother to 11
[00:46:30] y'all not out looking for him the next day y'all are deactivating your social medias and lawyering up that just sounds weird now the newest thing that I just want to bring to the forefront is that that triple a call I'm calling it
[00:47:06] and so so we're in this digital case because with AI with people posting stuff like it's so muddy and I and almost is that intentional because we know that I'm all over the place but just follow me we know that Nolan was laid to rest I want to say July 20th and on the morning of July
[00:47:36] 20th his mother filed for guardianship of she created a Nolan estate and she is the sole executor of that and normally people do that when they are going after wrongful death cakes and so it needs to be paid to the it would be like Nolan Wells versus and so he needs to have an estate and so like she set all of that up so it's like clearly we know they're getting
[00:48:06] their ducks in a row but I say that to say the rest of the video call and again like it's like also what I hate is that there is a lot of misinformation out there there is a lot of people with theories there are a lot of people saying all this stuff and so it's like you don't really know what is true and what's not right and so again with
[00:48:42] you understand how the judicial system works and in cases like this all you need is reasonable doubt right like to create reasonable doubt that something else could happen and so then again it makes you kind of take a look at all of this stuff that's being put into our face because if they're going to have a jury I would
[00:49:14] they've heard of this they've seen what's going like you know what I mean it seems nefarious it just seems like this is just a lot but back to this call somebody called somebody and was like listen Nolan is not with us and somebody a parent was like got it and then they
[00:49:44] that I think was crucial so funny you should say that Justin this call initially we just heard Warren who I believe it's whose boat it was and who's Nolan's best friend and Warren is now doing interviews Warren stepmom is the judge so you're doing interviews now about your alleged best friend but you've never been to his house you've never met his mom but that's your best friend
[00:50:13] but when he went missing you didn't go look for him you didn't turn his phone over you didn't call his mom but that's your best friend and now you're doing podcast interviews okay if Dara went on that boat listen you ain't sleeping I know you first of all the boat would have never left Horn Island I don't I don't hit women
[00:50:43] but I would have dragged my best friend Dara's ass on that boat like please and oh if you staying I'm staying 100% we don't play that go ahead but listen so Warren we heard we always heard the clip of him calling into the operator that was available like two weeks ago but the extended clip was released and baby I think it's like 33 seconds
[00:51:13] into the initial call first of all the operator is like hi what your name what's your you know and he's like I don't know the member number but like this is oh you're calling you're calling there was no reception prior as why they didn't like
[00:51:43] you know again like I'm just saying as more of the story gets developed but anyway as he is figuring this out with the operator baby there is panic Justin in the background you can hear mumbling you can hear people you can hear what sounds like don't die oh my god is he dead you hear things that sound like nolan get up
[00:52:13] go listen if you haven't heard it listen go out and he wasn't on the boat with them but you can hear on this call that oh my god is he dead no no don't die on us get up like you hear these and again in this day and age I don't know if this like you is and so that's crazy so also interesting to note is that after they called and said that they were taking on water
[00:52:42] and they needed assistance nolan called his grandfather the grandfather called i keep calling it triple a but that's what it is triple a nolan's grandfather called triple a back and said they're no longer in need of your service someone another boat there is coming to help and so like you said you feel like somebody called somebody and that's what i believe
[00:53:12] i believe that the grandfather said get back to horn island like whatever happened but like again it just if it smell like doo-doo and it look like doo-doo i agree i agree yeah the timeline is all jacked up and i bryce i don't know if we're going to get the truth
[00:53:41] and that's what scares me it's like us as black people we already know right like even if we already know they're gonna say nope no foul play done yeah because that's how they wanted it to be portrayed in the beginning we're good case closed they wanted to wrap that thing up quick and if it did not get this national attention like it is which is why we're talking about it because it is important to talk about it to keep
[00:54:10] this like to keep the eyes on them it would be a open and shut case it would it would just to think about all the other cases out there that are similar they have that similar kind of vibe all of these hangings that get ruled as homicide or suicide or suicide suicide
[00:54:40] yeah yeah I've done them I've done them on my platform and it's like some of them are on Juneteenth and I'm like I don't know if a black person would hang themselves on Juneteenth but some of them in front of a church yeah yeah now mind you there are you know there you're in behavioral health you understand but you know there's some people who are suicidal but there's a lot there's a lot of cases
[00:55:10] that you know they just jump the gun so quick and I think that's exactly what happened and when Nancy Grace teased that Bob y'all got Nancy the guy knew Bob I said somebody is definitely going to jail somebody is going to jail if Nancy I've done an interview with Nancy she is tough I'm like let me do my homework before I get on on with Nancy and she
[00:55:40] knows her stuff and she is not going to stop she had Casey she had her foot on Casey Anthony's neck for years Casey Anthony tried to come back to TikTok last year as a photographer and Nancy Grace said not on Beyonce's internet not on Beyonce's internet uh-uh uh-uh no so then the independent autopsy
[00:56:10] came back uh and essentially just was undetermined unable to cause the manner and unable to cause uh the manner and cause of death we know that he didn't have his throat because the original autopsy sent that for more testing we know that like his organs were placed back in the body because of the original autopsy which is all normal but again just he had
[00:56:39] red bruising on the back of his head that they were unable to explain and so it's just very interesting they're now trying to move to there are different people someone did an interview with Nancy Gray someone from the medical examiner's office and like they're also introducing like overdose like if you overdosed there will be fluid in your lungs and so like it would be hard to distinguish between drowning
[00:57:09] and an overdose and Nancy Gray was like you can't test the fluid you can't know what then there's reports from the Cajun coral they're not the coast guard but they're like a rescue team and they when they arrived they're saying that they saw Nolan face down on the beach fully clothed
[00:57:39] somebody that's fully clothed would be so again it's just a lot going on with this case and so as it is continuing to develop and so anytime I can have an opportunity to give you guys an update I absolutely will and again I mean yeah that audio is coming out I think more I think more of the people who were there are going to start talking a little bit as the pressure mounts
[00:58:09] the official autopsy which of course can take weeks months after it's originally done so there's so much more to learn and I try not to jump to conclusions so fast because there's still so many question marks out there but it's going to come out whatever happens in the dark always comes to light it's in the Bible yeah and I just
[00:58:42] imagine being a mother or father having to bury your child number one but then under these type of circumstances where you have you're doing press conferences you've got to hire civil activist attorneys like it just I can't there's racist people blaming her I'm like and
[00:59:11] Nancy said it she was like wouldn't you want to know if something happened to your son or daughter the truth don't call them racist why are you calling them racist it's just like the bigotry and the racism has just been elevated ever since you know who has been in office we don't go there but it definitely has you know definitely drawn up those people and it's
[00:59:41] deep seated in our country right where it's like people don't like well first of they're trying to erase our history they don't want to talk about history and it's deep rooted in our country and we need to know our history and we need to talk about it like it but nevertheless we'll keep you updated on any Noland information and if you see anything send it over send it to the purple pants podcast dm me because i'm on the case another case i'd like
[01:00:11] to be on is this explosive diarrhea baby now listen here listen listening like justin was talking about this administration during the time when doge was around draining the swamp and cutting the cost and doing all of these things in the federal government trying to figure out where the waste is going
[01:00:43] some of the programs in the CDC and the FDA were cut and some of the programs that funded programs that was actually cut and so i just want it to be aware or i just want y'all to know that they did major staffing reductions in the department
[01:01:12] of human services included the FDA and the CDC just trying to figure out where it was at and so one this and that so that if there were an outbreak boom we're on it we can know what happened and so just want you to know that the funding was cut
[01:01:42] so now we have this virus out here that is causing people violent diarrhea people losing weight people like it's a lot you know and they have been able to identify that it has come from allegedly royal is it royal farms I believe it is yes taylor farms
[01:02:13] now also just interesting like how our government works because like we heard reports of this like a month ago but like there wasn't even like recalls taco taco bell has been working with the federal government and they taco bell gets a large portion of their lettuce from taylor farms when taco bell was having these conversations with uh the f
[01:02:42] i don't know why i can't say it the fda taco bell said oh no we're gonna remove the lettuce like done like we're not even about to play that like they took preventative measures and so after taco bell removed their lettuce the next day the fda came out and briefly said that it was a false positive uh in the lab results and taylor farms is like what you mean it was a false positive like we need to get to the bottom
[01:03:12] of this but then the fda maintains that overall the investigation still pointed that it's taylor farms regardless of whether it's a false positive or not people are getting sick and the numbers are growing no just say like and the numbers are growing so it's like you going back to a false positive like what are you doing to prevent the spread what are you doing to stop it from happening again and I
[01:03:42] just want to know how taco bell got caught up in the mix uh because first of all let's be real first of all I I don't eat taco bell often but you know I do love me a good crunch rat supreme Bryce we can't be eating that kind of stuff no more I mean I don't I'm just saying but first of all people people go to taco bell for diarrhea right like
[01:04:12] so like everybody's like oh this ain't gonna affect taco bell this is what people expect when they go to taco bell that's true that's true I mean I could stand to lose a couple that's what I said where the lettuce at I could drop 15 real quick real quick just a little something something but yeah I mean
[01:04:41] I went on vacation came back and taco bell lettuce is recalled garlic powder is recalled did you see the garlic powders recalled now I saw that but black people we good because you know black people we don't believe that seasonings expire just because my garlic powder is definitely from like 2017 and I just hit it on the counter because sometimes they get a little
[01:05:07] and it's good as new I know I know I got old spices I mean years and years but but yeah I know it's like what can we eat I came back the quiet on the creek is trending I'm like you text me last week quiet on the creek I'm like what is quiet on the creek I was like what is that you are the one
[01:05:37] who first told me about quiet on the creek that text message is my first experience with quiet on the creek but yeah back to Taco Bell yeah it's unfortunate and I hope they I hope they get the act together I really do I think what I've loved the most about Taco Bell during this whole situation because first of all Taylor Farms Taco Bell isn't the only place that supplies letters right so like again the fact that even just the way our
[01:06:06] media works you know it just seems like Taco Bell like the way that they're it just they're framing it as like Taco Bell is the culprit of spreading this and it's like when really the focus should be on these programs that have been cut in our FDA or F yeah our FDA that if they weren't cuts if people were tracking this not saying it could have stopped it but it absolutely could have stopped the spread but nevertheless what I love
[01:06:35] about Taco Bell and their like social media like they have this campaign where they're like have discounted prices and like they're like we love you we got your back like they they're kind of making the most of it instead of like hiding from it not making fun of it but they're like the lettuce is gone but the tacos are still here like if y'all don't go down to Acme and get y'all get y'all some lettuce and cut it up they better go to the grocery store that's what I would do if I owned some Taco Bells
[01:07:05] I would just be well I'm good on the lettuce for right now because they said even if you wash it it doesn't really purify it from the bacteria that is causing it but I wouldn't wash it anyway because I would you know I'm trying to just a little but you know you gotta be quiet on the creek so be careful out there stay away from the lettuce and the garlic powder and again all of these
[01:07:35] recalls though but it does have me questioning like does our FDA need to be stricter like they now approved the FDA just now approved so there are wild caught fish there are farm raised fish and now they just approved genetically bred fish nothing I don't even do I don't even do farm raised
[01:08:05] it's wild caught only for me have I ever seen somebody catch a salapia I don't know because that's what I want to know and I also want to go to a farm and I would like to see a Cornish hen I ain't never seen a Cornish hen running around okay because what the hell is that I don't know what does it look like
[01:08:35] I imagine it's like like a thicker a thick hen running around like a but it would be like a baby hen and then like my next question with the tariffs and the grocery prices going up and all of this why them why is that what's what are they called like the is that oven roasted why the oven roasted chickens at Costco's and the supermarket why the hell they still $9.99
[01:09:08] wait you mean the ones that um the rotisserie chicken something they say I think nutritionists say those rotisserie chickens are the absolute worst don't think about it the chemicals that they infuse in them not good for you my lights just went out but that's okay we still we still here listen uh-huh but what this chickens do we good why
[01:09:38] $9.99 because I'm confused like again just these questions that I have but again I just I'm convinced that like our government they value profiting off of the people i.e. like us getting sick and needy like the stuff that they put in this food causes cancer people get cancer and guess what what do we do we get chemo have you ever looked into the
[01:10:07] chemo business like that's a trillion like it's like they profit off of our sickness like they trying to get us sick i'm convinced of it when i was overseas bryce the mcdonald's tastes different now mind you i don't eat mcdonald's but they did have some chicken wings that i wanted to try at mcdonald's delicious the soda tastes different no dyes no extra sugar um the whoppers tasted different the french fries they are
[01:10:37] killing us here i am convinced i am convinced that all the kind of stuff that the preservatives that they put in our food um it's a thing it's a thing and they do not tolerate it overseas i'll never forget a couple of years ago i went to cuba um and beautiful and one of the things that i noticed the most um was one i just i love the people beautiful beautiful beautiful and i would like uh my airbnb was like right off the coast of
[01:11:07] where it was kind of like the appear where everyone just will walk the pier by like the coast it was so beautiful and like every night i would walk it and i would just like see the amazing people and then i had took a tour can't remember the name of it well i went to like the where they make cuban cigars and so i did this whole day tour and i remember talking to my tour guy and i was telling him he was like well what do you love or what's been the most
[01:11:37] intriguing thing that you've learned since you've been here and i was i said well everybody smokes cigarettes here i was like and i'm like there's a lot of old people
[01:12:08] and my tour guy was like it's funny you say that he was like you know smoking is like a part of the culture just like people tobacco and he was like well i think 15 years ago they have a cure for lung cancer in cuba a cure sure they and i was like in my mind i'm like oh he lying i
[01:12:37] when we got back to my airbnb and i got when you get time google it and so again it just makes me think like cuba the country that we the embargo that we had that we that the current this current administration is starving those people currently right now cuba they have the cure for lung cancer and we don't have it but yet we push
[01:13:07] chemotherapy yet we push all of these things that people make profit off of so i'm just convinced of it yeah yeah i know i know it's it's all it's all to funnel money into the pharmaceuticals the drugs that we take the privatize and why don't they want us to have a national health care i'm telling you like you said i'm getting i have my passport i got
[01:13:37] the countries that i want to go in this you better get it get ready y'all because i will be out of here i've been thinking about it and because what's keeping us here really here one of one of my old co-workers uh from like one of my first jobs when i got out of college she packed up she moved to mexico and like but
[01:14:06] and i like i watch her stories i'm like oh wow like and again i'm seeing a lot of more people my because you're right what actually is keeping us here yeah why am i here sometimes i ask myself that like justin you can be somewhere else and be happy and fine and fed and fed well um so yeah i've been thinking about it you know i know it's probably a long shot but like i've been thinking about like what
[01:14:36] the next 10 years of my life look like and it might not be here well listen i'm coming with you uh well what alissa come on you don't gotta send my luggage my luggage is gonna be with me with you but speaking of going somewhere uh justin and i are originally from the philadelphia area and we would like to officially welcome lebron james to the
[01:15:06] philadelphia sixers uh philly is such a funny city where uh the sixers slogan is trust the process and you know we're big eagles city okay we love the eagles we love the phillies we love the flyers but i ain't never seen so many 76ers fans since alan iverson days like when i say we are such a fair
[01:15:35] weather city it's so funny because we are we up we up if we're down right right 100% but i am so happy that we have this newfound energy um it's exciting it's exciting random but it's exciting yeah i'm like why would he and again he signed a two-year contract so it probably means that he will retire a sixers because i don't foresee him
[01:16:05] going anywhere after that because he was already speculated to retire um in la but i'm more curious about like does this give us a fighting chance and so i've talked to a lot of my sports analysts i.e. my brother and my brother is like we're going this is it we're going just like i tell the eagles fans don't i don't get hype about the eagles until we make the playoffs okay miss me preseason because you'll be like oh we're
[01:16:35] doing so good we're doing so then we get to the playoffs and it's like whatever but i mean the sixers haven't been to the finals since what the 80 no well it was it was like in 2000s i want to say like when we had like mckinbe matumbo rest in peace yeah yeah but like winning a championship it's been yeah i don't yeah i wasn't born i wouldn't know well but there's that we're not going to
[01:17:05] go there well you can but but no it's it's exciting it's it's energy and i looked at tickets recently and you can't even buy tickets i think the tickets are either sold out or thousands of dollars it's so crazy because last season bitch you could get tickets for 15 dollars i'm just kicking myself now like dang i should have got should have got some tickets when i had the chance
[01:17:35] and resold them yeah so exciting to see what will happen um hopefully we'll make the playoffs but again people are hyped but i've only talked to people from philly so it's hard for me to actually gauge but people definitely feel like he's lebron isn't the end-all be-all but he is an immaculate addition to our roster um tyrese maxi i'm sad that jared mccain is on but so
[01:18:05] i'm excited to see and so you know i just you know welcome welcome to philly and uh yeah yeah what some people don't know mostly about philly is that like in the black community in philly it's a relatively big muslim community in philly so i was seeing all of these memes of like lebron and savannah savannah garbed up and uh lebron with a koozie talk about lebron
