[00:04:36] And we are back this week with your purple pants

[00:04:39] podcast pit stop coverage of amazing race season 36. I'm so

[00:04:44] excited to be joined by my amazing spectacular has a

[00:04:50] voice of an angel. It is the Miss Brooke cam high the winner

[00:04:55] of amazing race season 29. Brookie Poo. How are you? I am

[00:04:59] shirtless. No more. Right. Thank you to Danny and Angie

[00:05:04] because they heard me say you got what I want one and guess

[00:05:07] who has one. It's me. So happy to be here and I brought

[00:05:12] a friend. Yes, we are so excited. We have amazing race

[00:05:17] season 35 fan one half of the fan favorite duo we get Corey

[00:05:23] McArthur. Welcome to the podcast. No, it needs more than

[00:05:27] that. Okay.

[00:05:31] Three adjectives. I was giving them to you. I mean, what we

[00:05:36] don't have we don't have Rob here. So like how could we

[00:05:40] have the smarts? The agile? The athletic? The beautiful

[00:05:50] inside and out. Corey McArthur. One more. The

[00:05:57] descendant of the legend of the king of the man that will

[00:06:03] jump out of a boat and swim if he can't find the clue.

[00:06:06] The son of Rob. We have Corey here. Thank you. Thank you.

[00:06:10] It's great to be here and honestly, I'm honored that one

[00:06:12] of my four adjectives was being related to roadblock Rob. So

[00:06:16] all of them will take it.

[00:06:18] Love it. We're so excited to have you here, Corey. What is

[00:06:22] it like life after amazing race and watching another

[00:06:24] season?

[00:06:26] I'm sure Brooke has given the same perspective. It is

[00:06:29] weird. It is fun. There's a level of like, a little bit

[00:06:33] of jealousy of, oh man, I wish I could do that. That challenge

[00:06:36] looks so fun or oh my goodness, this place looks

[00:06:39] beautiful. I'd love to do this. And then there's also a

[00:06:42] little bit of, oh thank goodness, I didn't have to do

[00:06:44] that challenge. Mine was way more fun than that was. So

[00:06:47] there's like these weird comparisons that you make to

[00:06:50] what you've done. And then you start thinking more

[00:06:52] seriously about, well, if I was on the season, how would

[00:06:55] we do? What would we pick? And so it makes it a lot

[00:06:58] more fun and engaging. And then it's cool because I've

[00:07:02] started having watch parties with friends and family

[00:07:05] and we'll talk about it. And we're all so much more

[00:07:08] engaged because we've lived it. So it's been really

[00:07:11] cool, but also hard to watch it and think my

[00:07:16] turn's over.

[00:07:17] Well, you may get another turn.

[00:07:19] Right. We wouldn't close that door just yet.

[00:07:24] Your turn's over for now. You know what's so

[00:07:26] funny is, Bryce will be like, what Brooke said

[00:07:29] actually is she thinks it's annoying because the

[00:07:31] seasons that were after her seemed a little bit

[00:07:33] easier, yours excluded. And so she goes, she

[00:07:36] sits and she's like, well I had to do this.

[00:07:39] They get to just run some balloons around the

[00:07:41] city. So you're a much more positive outlook.

[00:07:44] Although this is actually kind of funny.

[00:07:46] Balloons around the city are hard.

[00:07:48] No it was not. So what was something I would

[00:07:52] not have been able to do on the season after

[00:07:54] mine is they were in, someone will correct me,

[00:07:58] but it was like some far East country and it was

[00:08:00] a roadblock and it was an eating roadblock.

[00:08:02] Now I am an adventurous eater, but at that

[00:08:06] point, I think it was like the second to

[00:08:07] last one. So Scott would have had to do it.

[00:08:09] The non-participant in the roadblock had to

[00:08:12] stand there with four tarantulas on them.

[00:08:16] I would have quit in the, Bryce knows my

[00:08:19] debilitating fear of spiders, not afraid of

[00:08:21] sharks, but afraid of spiders, afraid of

[00:08:23] nothing else. It's something about eight legs,

[00:08:26] can't handle it. We've gone on tangents

[00:08:27] about this before, but the non-participant

[00:08:30] just had to stand there and they were not

[00:08:32] particularly like mobile spiders, but there

[00:08:34] were spiders on you. Out. Leg 11, the end.

[00:08:40] I would have been done. It would have been

[00:08:41] done for me. So I remember my dad texting

[00:08:44] me and being like, well, you would have

[00:08:45] quit and I was watching it late. I was

[00:08:47] like, I don't know what you're talking

[00:08:47] about. I would never quit anything. And

[00:08:49] then I watched it and I was like, right

[00:08:51] at the end.

[00:08:53] Yep. No, I remember watching that season

[00:08:57] because I think the other person had to

[00:08:59] eat one and then you get one placed on

[00:09:01] you or something. They had to eat

[00:09:02] scorpions and frog's legs and something

[00:09:05] else. I don't think they had to eat a

[00:09:07] spider, but the other one had spiders

[00:09:08] placed on you. And I was like,

[00:09:13] I had like a very similar thought

[00:09:15] watching that. I want to say that was

[00:09:16] season 30 with, I remember it was

[00:09:20] Brendan and Rachel. No, Jess and

[00:09:22] Cody. Yes. Yes. Yes.

[00:09:25] I was thinking of another couple with

[00:09:27] a really big guy. And I remember

[00:09:31] watching that one going, oh yeah, my

[00:09:32] dad's eating that scorpion for sure.

[00:09:35] And then I see that I would have had

[00:09:37] the spider placed on me.

[00:09:39] Do you have the same fear I do?

[00:09:41] You have the same fear.

[00:09:42] It wouldn't stop me, but I would

[00:09:44] not be cool. I would not be cool

[00:09:46] in that moment.

[00:09:47] I like to think it wouldn't stop me

[00:09:48] either. I think it wouldn't stop

[00:09:51] me. I think it would have made

[00:09:52] for the best television ever,

[00:09:55] because I just would have been.

[00:09:57] And the thing is Scott would have

[00:09:58] probably had a little bit of fun with

[00:10:00] it because he's not, he's, I

[00:10:03] don't know, I, cause he wasn't

[00:10:05] the one who would, when we

[00:10:06] talked about it, would have done

[00:10:07] the eating. That would have been

[00:10:08] me. Cause surprisingly I can eat

[00:10:10] really, really hot things and I'm

[00:10:11] a very adventurous eater, but it

[00:10:14] would have probably landed on him.

[00:10:15] And then I was like, who's that?

[00:10:19] But again, here at the Purple Pants

[00:10:20] podcast, we go off on tangents

[00:10:23] and never actually discuss

[00:10:24] anything.

[00:10:24] That's the, that's the whole

[00:10:25] point. What I do want to know

[00:10:27] is Corey, how is your Spanish?

[00:10:30] Uh, yo hablo un poco de

[00:10:32] español, pero no bueno.

[00:10:35] Mucho gusto.

[00:10:36] Uh, Jornica Izquierda, I

[00:10:40] made sure to pick up

[00:10:41] directional forms before going

[00:10:44] on my season for like four of

[00:10:46] the most popular languages in

[00:10:48] the world.

[00:10:49] Merci beaucoup.

[00:10:51] Uh, merci.

[00:10:54] Do I speak the most French on

[00:10:55] this podcast? That's actually

[00:10:56] funny cause my French is trash.

[00:10:58] Cap cuca.

[00:11:00] Uh huh. Okay.

[00:11:03] That's a, that's a tie.

[00:11:06] I was like, that's not French.

[00:11:07] I don't know that.

[00:11:09] I spent a little bit of time

[00:11:10] in Thailand.

[00:11:11] Yeah. I got no tie.

[00:11:12] I made sure to stick with

[00:11:13] Victor and Jocelyn the whole

[00:11:14] time.

[00:11:16] Just that what would you

[00:11:17] think? Actually curiosity is

[00:11:19] striking me.

[00:11:19] How do you think people would

[00:11:21] feel if this was a season that

[00:11:23] spent all of its time in the

[00:11:25] Far East and there were a couple

[00:11:27] of teams that were fluent in

[00:11:29] Mandarin and nothing else.

[00:11:31] Do you think there would be

[00:11:32] such vitriol against all of the

[00:11:34] teams that had that advantage?

[00:11:37] Like there are against the

[00:11:37] teams that speak fluent

[00:11:39] Spanish this season if we

[00:11:40] were in, I don't know, Asia

[00:11:43] the entire time.

[00:11:44] I, I feel like there's going

[00:11:47] to be pushed back on seasons

[00:11:50] nowadays regardless just like

[00:11:51] the era that we're living in

[00:11:52] because that happened season

[00:11:53] 14.

[00:11:54] They spent I think three

[00:11:56] consecutive legs in China and

[00:11:59] Tammy and Victor they were

[00:12:01] fluent in Mandarin and you

[00:12:04] know they won I think two

[00:12:05] straight legs going into the

[00:12:06] finale and you know they were

[00:12:09] a team that had kind of

[00:12:10] struggled at the beginning but

[00:12:11] built up a ton of experience.

[00:12:13] Won a few legs to build some

[00:12:14] confidence and had a wonderful

[00:12:17] finale.

[00:12:17] So I think it's happened and

[00:12:19] I know that there are people

[00:12:20] who kind of push back on it.

[00:12:24] I feel like that's a little

[00:12:25] bit of a different case

[00:12:25] because they bounced around

[00:12:26] from other countries and so

[00:12:27] it wasn't the entire race but

[00:12:29] I feel like that's just

[00:12:31] kind of something that's bound

[00:12:32] to happen and people are going

[00:12:33] to be mad whenever someone has

[00:12:35] an advantage or something anyway.

[00:12:37] So, and so we're clear Cory

[00:12:38] though the people that Brooke

[00:12:39] is talking about Brooke is a

[00:12:41] part of this part of anything

[00:12:45] she says she's not really

[00:12:48] active but every week we get

[00:12:52] new details.

[00:12:54] Because you tell me to go look

[00:12:56] on the Facebook and tell me

[00:12:57] what tell you what's going on

[00:12:59] so I do my investigative

[00:13:00] journalism this week I almost

[00:13:02] was active because the

[00:13:03] Facebook one after Letitia and

[00:13:05] I am not having that so I

[00:13:07] actually reached out to Letitia

[00:13:09] and I was like a batch back

[00:13:10] because they are all she's not

[00:13:12] doing anything all she cares

[00:13:14] about is her lashes and her

[00:13:15] lips and her looks and I was

[00:13:16] like she should as she

[00:13:18] also she's not not doing

[00:13:19] anything she's fantastic.

[00:13:22] And I don't like the Facebook

[00:13:24] has decided that this week

[00:13:25] she's their target.

[00:13:26] Can I just give my thoughts

[00:13:28] on the question that you asked

[00:13:29] to Cory right.

[00:13:30] Yeah.

[00:13:31] You're like sure it is an

[00:13:33] advantage right to speak the

[00:13:34] native tongue.

[00:13:35] However, you can speak it

[00:13:39] but you could still be

[00:13:40] horrible at Roblox.

[00:13:42] You could still have no life

[00:13:43] experience.

[00:13:44] You could still be

[00:13:44] directionally challenged right.

[00:13:46] So it's like all of this

[00:13:47] slack that people are giving

[00:13:48] Ricky and Sazer for me I'm

[00:13:50] like OK I understand they do

[00:13:52] have a language advantage.

[00:13:54] However, they great at

[00:13:55] everything right.

[00:13:56] Like so it's like you can't

[00:13:58] just be mad at that because

[00:14:00] like just because you can

[00:14:01] speak the language does not

[00:14:02] mean you know where to go

[00:14:03] does not mean that you're a

[00:14:05] chef that your dad was a

[00:14:07] welder that you can jump

[00:14:08] that you could swim that you

[00:14:09] could walk through walls like

[00:14:11] I think if anything they need

[00:14:12] to be mad at Sazer because

[00:14:13] he's not human.

[00:14:15] He is a he should be in a

[00:14:17] Marvel movie because he has

[00:14:20] superpowers.

[00:14:21] That's what they should be

[00:14:22] mad at that there is a

[00:14:24] mutant that can fly like you

[00:14:26] know what I mean like like

[00:14:28] be real.

[00:14:29] That's all I love being team

[00:14:33] says are because he is on

[00:14:35] Ricky and Ricky.

[00:14:37] Yes yes Ricky says we're both

[00:14:39] amazing but Sazer is just

[00:14:42] crushing and I love I'm sure

[00:14:45] we'll get into it as we get

[00:14:46] into the episode.

[00:14:47] Well like the fact that he

[00:14:48] was receiving all his

[00:14:49] directions in the roadblock

[00:14:51] in Spanish like that I think

[00:14:52] speaks to how fluent his

[00:14:54] Spanish is but also going

[00:14:55] back like you make a great

[00:14:57] point that they're so good

[00:14:58] if we're blaming the whole

[00:14:59] thing on them being fluent

[00:15:01] Melissa and Yvonne are also

[00:15:03] fluent in Spanish like

[00:15:05] there is a difference.

[00:15:06] Then he says he's fluent in

[00:15:08] Spanish.

[00:15:10] Well and and Brooks not

[00:15:13] going like this Corey but

[00:15:16] Anthony and Bailey they

[00:15:19] know a little they knew a

[00:15:20] little Spanish too.

[00:15:27] Corey every week.

[00:15:30] Oh God Bryce I love you to

[00:15:31] death every week.

[00:15:32] Why what's the opposite of

[00:15:33] a bell.

[00:15:34] I need a buzzer every week.

[00:15:36] Bryce talks about how this

[00:15:38] task would have been the

[00:15:39] Anthony and Bailey task

[00:15:40] based on nothing like that.

[00:15:42] I cannot wait to meet them.

[00:15:44] I'm sure they're amazing

[00:15:45] people.

[00:15:46] I we have a little bit of

[00:15:47] fun at their expense.

[00:15:48] Everybody loves them everyone

[00:15:50] in the cast.

[00:15:50] So if you think they're

[00:15:51] great what's like every

[00:15:53] week Bryce like this would

[00:15:54] have been their task and I

[00:15:55] go based on.

[00:15:58] I'm just saying they took

[00:16:00] Spanish in high school too.

[00:16:01] I don't see people over the

[00:16:03] like the advantage that

[00:16:04] they had.

[00:16:04] But I will.

[00:16:06] You're right.

[00:16:06] I wish Anthony and Bailey

[00:16:08] were in this week.

[00:16:08] They would have won it

[00:16:09] totally.

[00:16:09] Yes.

[00:16:10] This is their week.

[00:16:11] I'm just saying so Brooke

[00:16:14] start us off.

[00:16:14] But before you start us off

[00:16:16] I got my first gripe of

[00:16:18] the episode which is in

[00:16:19] the first 30 seconds of

[00:16:21] the episode.

[00:16:22] Oh where they get to pick

[00:16:23] their hotel and stay in

[00:16:25] luxury where I live in a

[00:16:26] huddle.

[00:16:27] Are you kidding me.

[00:16:29] Yeah yeah OK.

[00:16:31] I mean forget what you

[00:16:32] get and don't get upset.

[00:16:33] They're like we'll have a

[00:16:34] pool and a spa and five

[00:16:36] star.

[00:16:37] Where did you stay Corey

[00:16:38] halfway through the race

[00:16:39] because we were in a tent

[00:16:41] in the freezing cold.

[00:16:42] I'm not kidding.

[00:16:43] Norway in a tent by a

[00:16:45] river and one of our

[00:16:46] contestants it was an

[00:16:47] advantage that you get

[00:16:48] five a.m.

[00:16:48] And I was like it's an

[00:16:49] advantage that you even

[00:16:51] had a tent broke like

[00:16:52] like wow.

[00:16:53] Like I mean I guess

[00:16:55] that's there.

[00:16:57] You chose survivor man.

[00:16:59] I don't know what to tell

[00:16:59] you.

[00:17:00] I think we're giving a

[00:17:01] little too much leeway

[00:17:02] to the creative

[00:17:04] production that goes

[00:17:05] behind an Expedia ad.

[00:17:07] I want to know.

[00:17:08] I want to know.

[00:17:08] We really choosing

[00:17:11] where they're staying.

[00:17:14] I don't know we didn't get

[00:17:14] that opportunity.

[00:17:15] We got to book a flight on

[00:17:16] the app and it was

[00:17:17] booked this flight.

[00:17:19] Well tell us Corey

[00:17:19] because I'd be wanting to

[00:17:20] know because like my

[00:17:21] true I definitely.

[00:17:24] I was on an airplane so

[00:17:25] I had a little bit of

[00:17:25] time so I definitely

[00:17:27] screenshotted the

[00:17:29] images that people were

[00:17:30] staying at because I

[00:17:32] wanted to like look

[00:17:33] and see what was going

[00:17:34] on.

[00:17:35] So do you actually get

[00:17:36] to pick it or is it

[00:17:38] more a commercial.

[00:17:39] OK.

[00:17:40] Did you guys have this

[00:17:41] where it was pick your

[00:17:42] hotel on the app.

[00:17:44] We also had a very

[00:17:45] similar experience when

[00:17:46] we were in Stockholm

[00:17:48] heading to Ireland.

[00:17:49] What I will say is

[00:17:51] that would be quite

[00:17:53] an array of logistics

[00:17:54] for the Amazing Race

[00:17:55] team to figure out

[00:17:56] having to you know

[00:17:58] take care of putting

[00:17:58] people up at multiple

[00:18:00] different hotels and

[00:18:01] then arrange all of the

[00:18:02] like transportation

[00:18:03] across all of these

[00:18:05] different hotels and

[00:18:05] have PAs making

[00:18:07] sure that everyone was

[00:18:08] in their hotel rooms.

[00:18:10] I think that seems

[00:18:11] a little far fetched

[00:18:12] for us to think

[00:18:14] that people are going

[00:18:14] to be staying in

[00:18:15] their own places.

[00:18:16] You heard it here first

[00:18:17] folks.

[00:18:17] The Amazing Race is a lie.

[00:18:19] I just feel like

[00:18:19] Corey is I mean

[00:18:21] Rob and your mom did

[00:18:23] a great job on you

[00:18:24] because I love Corey's

[00:18:25] media training because

[00:18:26] I feel like I like

[00:18:27] what he did there

[00:18:28] right like he

[00:18:29] ain't say nothing

[00:18:30] negative.

[00:18:31] It was all

[00:18:33] he's trying to go back.

[00:18:35] I mean I know

[00:18:35] that's stupid.

[00:18:36] I'm just saying

[00:18:37] Rob raised a good son

[00:18:38] and you have a brother

[00:18:40] and I love your brother too.

[00:18:42] He wasn't ready for my energy

[00:18:43] when I met him in New York

[00:18:44] and my job was like

[00:18:45] trying to stay away from y'all

[00:18:47] Corey.

[00:18:48] I mean not

[00:18:48] he was scared.

[00:18:49] He was actually

[00:18:50] I really was like

[00:18:51] I passed your dad.

[00:18:53] Mind you we're 15 minutes

[00:18:54] in and we haven't

[00:18:54] even got to the episode

[00:18:55] but oh well we have Corey.

[00:18:57] I passed your dad.

[00:18:59] I want to say like seven times

[00:19:02] and I was like

[00:19:03] oh my God Brooke

[00:19:04] there he is.

[00:19:06] I was so nervous

[00:19:08] to just be in the

[00:19:11] greatness of your dad

[00:19:12] that I saw your brother

[00:19:14] and I think I took like

[00:19:15] all of my jitters

[00:19:16] out on your brother

[00:19:17] and your brother was like

[00:19:19] but I'm just like

[00:19:19] I love y'all.

[00:19:20] I just just want to

[00:19:21] let you know

[00:19:22] but that's all.

[00:19:24] That's incredible.

[00:19:24] Well hey my dad doesn't bite.

[00:19:26] So next time we

[00:19:28] you know fingers crossed

[00:19:29] end up on another season

[00:19:30] come back.

[00:19:31] There's another finale party

[00:19:32] and you get to meet Rob again.

[00:19:34] Just go up

[00:19:35] and have that conversation.

[00:19:36] He's a nice guy.

[00:19:37] I spoke to him.

[00:19:38] I just you know

[00:19:38] it's like running away

[00:19:40] from him a couple of times

[00:19:41] for me to like get out

[00:19:42] the energy to be able to

[00:19:44] say hello.

[00:19:45] Hey Corey

[00:19:45] if we're on a season together

[00:19:47] can we have an alliance?

[00:19:48] Oh absolutely.

[00:19:50] Absolutely.

[00:19:51] Lock it in now.

[00:19:52] We're working together.

[00:19:53] I've been I've

[00:19:54] you're part of now

[00:19:55] a bigger alliance

[00:19:56] because I have now

[00:19:57] put us in a very good position

[00:19:59] with everybody

[00:19:59] that I think may ever

[00:20:00] get asked back to go

[00:20:01] on the amazing.

[00:20:02] All right fine.

[00:20:03] OK so seven teams are left.

[00:20:05] Bryce here we go.

[00:20:06] We're in Uruguay.

[00:20:08] They get to pick their hotel

[00:20:09] blah who cares whatever.

[00:20:11] OK so we are in

[00:20:13] Monted video.

[00:20:14] If you're busy

[00:20:15] that's how you oh

[00:20:16] Bryce by the way.

[00:20:19] Did you order busy glasses too?

[00:20:24] That's awesome.

[00:20:26] I didn't get the memo.

[00:20:27] I can't really read this anymore.

[00:20:29] Yeah and that's why busy

[00:20:30] and sunny always get lost.

[00:20:31] OK now we've cracked the code.

[00:20:35] OK so I have

[00:20:37] white girl Wisconsin

[00:20:38] Monti video.

[00:20:40] OK so I got to take this off.

[00:20:41] So group one leaves

[00:20:42] at 7 45 in the morning.

[00:20:45] Corey how do you feel

[00:20:45] about the group start?

[00:20:47] Honestly I'm kind of out on it.

[00:20:50] I be surprised if you weren't.

[00:20:52] I'm glad that you still retain

[00:20:54] some advantage

[00:20:56] based on your placement.

[00:20:57] However

[00:20:59] I I think that it hurts

[00:21:02] the idea of the race

[00:21:03] because there's no longer

[00:21:05] these bunch stages

[00:21:07] and we're going to get to why

[00:21:08] I think that's important

[00:21:09] at the end of the episode.

[00:21:10] But if you are

[00:21:12] at the bottom of the pack

[00:21:13] you have a 30 minute disadvantage

[00:21:16] every single time

[00:21:17] and that just doesn't feel authentic.

[00:21:20] But also if you have an hour lead

[00:21:22] and that carries over

[00:21:23] when you're in the same place

[00:21:24] like you should keep your hour lead.

[00:21:26] I don't know.

[00:21:26] I just feel

[00:21:28] I don't like it.

[00:21:29] I don't like it either.

[00:21:30] I don't like it either.

[00:21:31] However, two things I want to say.

[00:21:33] One it go it negates this

[00:21:37] Ricky and Sazer plot that they're

[00:21:39] oh such a big advantage

[00:21:41] because it doesn't matter

[00:21:42] if they come in first

[00:21:43] because they're always

[00:21:44] with another team

[00:21:45] in that top block.

[00:21:46] So it's like

[00:21:46] where's the advantage there?

[00:21:47] And then second

[00:21:49] I'm starting off early reason.

[00:21:52] 9,632 why I love Angie is

[00:21:57] it don't matter

[00:21:57] if you have that 30 minute delay

[00:21:59] in the back of the pack

[00:22:01] because we can get to it

[00:22:03] later in the episode.

[00:22:04] But I'm just saying

[00:22:05] I'm just saying no,

[00:22:06] you can get to that.

[00:22:07] Shout out to Danny and Angie

[00:22:08] because honestly had I don't know.

[00:22:10] I would be really curious to know

[00:22:11] and we should ask them

[00:22:13] how far behind were they actually

[00:22:16] if it wasn't a group start

[00:22:17] at the end of the last leg

[00:22:18] because they had a 30 minute disadvantage.

[00:22:21] If they only were like,

[00:22:22] I don't know, 18 minutes behind

[00:22:24] at the end of the last leg

[00:22:26] and not 30 minutes that

[00:22:28] because they stepped on the mat

[00:22:29] basically at the same time

[00:22:30] as the other two.

[00:22:30] It would have been a 15 minute disadvantage.

[00:22:32] I think they would have come in first.

[00:22:33] They were so close.

[00:22:34] They made up such a deficit

[00:22:36] because of Danny's amazing

[00:22:38] navigation skills that with

[00:22:41] if they had actually started,

[00:22:42] you know, three minutes,

[00:22:43] six minutes, 12 minutes, whatever it is.

[00:22:45] They could have been first.

[00:22:47] This is such a disadvantage

[00:22:48] for a team like that who who

[00:22:51] if you're finishing

[00:22:52] more than 15 minutes later,

[00:22:53] then it pushes you up.

[00:22:54] But if you're finishing,

[00:22:55] you know, it pushes you down to

[00:22:57] if you finish 16 minutes later

[00:22:58] because they stepped on the mat

[00:22:59] a second after Rod and Latisha

[00:23:01] and they lost 15 whole minutes.

[00:23:03] So it really did

[00:23:04] screw them over a bit this week

[00:23:05] and good on them.

[00:23:06] They're completely, completely agree.

[00:23:08] And on top of that,

[00:23:09] if this were a traditional season

[00:23:11] in which you are traveling

[00:23:12] to a new location

[00:23:14] and you're now in Montevideo,

[00:23:16] when you got there,

[00:23:17] more than likely there was one flight

[00:23:19] between the two locations.

[00:23:21] You're all together.

[00:23:22] If you're all together,

[00:23:23] Danny and Angie hands down

[00:23:25] win this leg.

[00:23:26] And I hope they win one.

[00:23:28] I just want to see them win one.

[00:23:30] And can we talk about last week, right?

[00:23:33] Because Rod and Latisha

[00:23:34] are in front of them.

[00:23:35] But we know that Danny and Angie

[00:23:37] got there before them.

[00:23:39] So in reality,

[00:23:41] they really would have been ahead of them.

[00:23:43] And so it's like,

[00:23:44] oh, another thing that reason nine,

[00:23:48] why I'm mad at Dan.

[00:23:50] Oh, no, don't. OK.

[00:23:51] Listen, because in this episode,

[00:23:54] it was very clear that they said

[00:23:55] we're running our own race.

[00:23:57] And look what happens

[00:23:59] when they run their own race.

[00:24:01] What if they would have been

[00:24:02] running their own race since like two?

[00:24:05] Well, Angie was still

[00:24:06] putting together that puzzle

[00:24:08] at the race track.

[00:24:09] Hey, Brooke.

[00:24:11] Bryce, come on.

[00:24:12] I mean, look, they're great.

[00:24:13] They're amazing.

[00:24:14] I think they're wonderful.

[00:24:15] But we have to be like

[00:24:17] honest with ourselves.

[00:24:18] Latisha's track went into nothing.

[00:24:20] Angie was struggling with the puzzle.

[00:24:23] You know, Ricky didn't understand

[00:24:25] in four tries that it was just a night

[00:24:27] like we have to be fair.

[00:24:29] Or we don't.

[00:24:30] I don't know.

[00:24:30] You're looking at me like,

[00:24:31] no, we don't have to be fair.

[00:24:32] Shut up.

[00:24:33] Derek got the puzzle.

[00:24:34] Angie would have come to her senses

[00:24:36] and get it at some point in time.

[00:24:38] Yes, agree.

[00:24:39] Some point in time.

[00:24:40] But they just would be

[00:24:41] or she would have taken a penalty

[00:24:43] and they would have been out.

[00:24:46] Anyway, so group one leaves 745.

[00:24:51] Juan has food poisoning this episode,

[00:24:53] which I find he I love them.

[00:24:55] We don't give them enough credit.

[00:24:56] I think they're doing a fantastic.

[00:24:57] Are you frozen?

[00:24:58] I think they're doing a fantastic job.

[00:25:01] I feel for him.

[00:25:02] Did you, Corey, any time during the race,

[00:25:04] did you have any sort of illness?

[00:25:05] Oh, I got the worst food

[00:25:07] poisoning of my entire life in India.

[00:25:10] Like my dad and I were so ill

[00:25:14] between legs one and two in India,

[00:25:17] like trading the bathroom back and forth.

[00:25:19] Like my dad at one point

[00:25:21] like passed out and came to and was like,

[00:25:24] I don't remember the last 30 minutes.

[00:25:25] Like we are so dehydrated, just a mess.

[00:25:29] So that second leg in India was really difficult.

[00:25:32] And it was, of course, when we picked

[00:25:34] like a really physical challenge.

[00:25:36] And so I'm biking with like 100 pounds of bricks.

[00:25:39] And then my dad like hops on the bike.

[00:25:41] And I remember looking at the camera going,

[00:25:44] I'm going to throw up today.

[00:25:45] And my crew goes, I hope you do.

[00:25:47] It's going on TV.

[00:25:51] You can't do it.

[00:25:54] I love that you had the wherewithal

[00:25:55] to like stop yourself.

[00:25:56] I wish I had that instead of crying

[00:25:58] and screaming and whatever the entire time.

[00:26:00] I think I told Bryce this once after like two,

[00:26:03] we were in Brazil and I had like 102 fever.

[00:26:05] I was so sick.

[00:26:07] And one of the medics came to my room

[00:26:09] and gave me a pill and was like, take this.

[00:26:10] And I was like, what is it?

[00:26:11] And he's like, it's German.

[00:26:13] And I was like, OK.

[00:26:14] And I woke up the next morning.

[00:26:15] My fever broke broken.

[00:26:16] I felt way better.

[00:26:18] I don't know what was in that thing,

[00:26:20] but that thing was magic.

[00:26:23] Is food poisoning like AKA the bubble guts?

[00:26:29] I've never heard the term the bubble that

[00:26:30] I have no idea what that is.

[00:26:32] You know, the gas bubble guts.

[00:26:35] It's like your stomach is doing cartwheels and.

[00:26:41] In my mind, our experience was just nothing stayed inside.

[00:26:44] Yeah. OK. Yeah. That's essentially, you know, the bubble guts.

[00:26:49] I felt for Juan, because you could see on his face that like

[00:26:53] not only was he pushing through, but like you could see that

[00:26:56] he felt like death.

[00:26:58] And again, this makes me in my opinion, right?

[00:27:01] I like that one and shade had this because in the arc of them,

[00:27:07] I didn't love them at first, just like honestly speaking.

[00:27:11] But then as the season goes on, we can see their dedication,

[00:27:15] them being a first playing first racing team in the seventh racing spot,

[00:27:20] then them getting a number one.

[00:27:21] I love this in their arc of like potential winners for them to like

[00:27:25] have this like stumble and Juan not be at 100 percent.

[00:27:28] So I don't love it for them.

[00:27:29] But as a viewer, I absolutely love to see them pushing through.

[00:27:34] And again, it makes it a little bit more competitive at the end,

[00:27:36] because I feel like they're definitely contenders.

[00:27:39] Yeah, I would be shocked if they're not.

[00:27:41] Yeah, you got to. Yes.

[00:27:43] Sorry, go ahead.

[00:27:44] I was just you got to give them their flowers because the intensity

[00:27:47] of a leg of the amazing race and the length of the day you're experiencing

[00:27:51] if you're not at 100 percent, like it takes a lot of willpower

[00:27:55] and banging. I just I felt for him when he was banging on that drum,

[00:27:58] because I can just when you don't feel well and there's like

[00:28:01] vibrations going through you, it's like I could just imagine

[00:28:04] every step was like, you know, like it was probably not.

[00:28:08] You could see it on his like little flush face

[00:28:11] where he was like, you want me to go right? OK.

[00:28:13] Like he was just slapped of energy.

[00:28:16] OK, so anyway, Ricky and Caesar are in the front.

[00:28:18] Also, they just want to stay in first in the first group.

[00:28:21] And then they have to drive to this portal logistical whatever

[00:28:25] to get their next clue.

[00:28:26] And then in Group two, we have Rod and Latisha.

[00:28:31] No one's I'm going to I'm backing Latisha.

[00:28:33] I think she's great. And Vinny and Amber.

[00:28:36] OK, so they're all running their own race today.

[00:28:39] Vinny and Amber, I you know what?

[00:28:42] No, I'm going to let you two talk about it.

[00:28:43] I I editing is real, so I don't know

[00:28:48] what actually happened between them.

[00:28:51] And from what I had seen at the beginning of the season,

[00:28:54] they were engaged.

[00:28:55] And so I'm sure everything is wonderful and happy, I think.

[00:29:00] But this was a rough day.

[00:29:01] I wonder what they didn't show.

[00:29:03] I'd be curious to hear their take on what was not shown.

[00:29:06] But there's a lot out there for people

[00:29:11] comparing Vinny to like very unpopular and horrible

[00:29:16] racers who treated their partners very badly.

[00:29:18] And I'm not going to jump on that bandwagon personally.

[00:29:26] I definitely like I am.

[00:29:28] No, I'm not. I'm not.

[00:29:29] Because listen, Amber's my girl and I like Vinny.

[00:29:33] It was it the best episode for Vinny?

[00:29:35] Absolutely not.

[00:29:37] However, like we've all been on shows before.

[00:29:40] We know how the editing process works and is it more entertaining for us

[00:29:44] to see them work through their problems and kind of get to a place

[00:29:49] that they can work together or is it more entertaining to see contention?

[00:29:52] So I will absolutely say that

[00:29:56] I don't think it was the best episode for Vinny.

[00:29:59] But I also feel like it's like the one thing that I can say is

[00:30:03] Vinny kept saying it's all about the team.

[00:30:06] You got to we're working for the team.

[00:30:08] And I don't know if.

[00:30:11] Corey, did you notice that they were interviewing them separately?

[00:30:15] I wonder if it was separate interviews or if it was

[00:30:18] they're cutting to the camera where the angles focus

[00:30:21] just on the one person as they're speaking,

[00:30:24] because I know that when we were doing our confessionals,

[00:30:26] they had two cameras.

[00:30:28] There was the wider shot with both of us and then the one camera

[00:30:31] that would pan to an individual at a time.

[00:30:33] So I don't know if it's individual interviews

[00:30:36] or if it's just showing one person at a time to really emphasize

[00:30:40] how Amber was feeling about everything and the way she was processing it.

[00:30:44] So Corey had a teammate that he loved and didn't fight with

[00:30:47] because on more than one occasion, they asked if we wanted to be

[00:30:50] interviewed separately after we'd had a particularly hard day,

[00:30:52] because that's when they get you to talk more freely about your experience.

[00:30:57] Now, Scott and I agreed like we're not going to do that

[00:31:02] to each other and badmouth each other, but we did at one point

[00:31:04] get separated in Africa after I had tried to make a ladle out of

[00:31:09] a rusty nail and a spoon.

[00:31:11] And so I was noticing I'm pretty sure that they were

[00:31:15] at least for part of it separated so that she could speak freely.

[00:31:18] And she was very upset.

[00:31:19] And so I hope it all worked out.

[00:31:21] It was a rough day.

[00:31:22] I hope it gets better for them.

[00:31:24] But they just couldn't they they just couldn't get it together today.

[00:31:28] Also, how convenient in Group two, it's Ra and Letitia.

[00:31:32] And what do they call her? Chi Chi.

[00:31:33] Is that what OK, good, because that's what I'm calling her now.

[00:31:37] Chi Chi, Ra and Chi Chi and Vinnie and Amber.

[00:31:40] How convenient of now you're running your own race.

[00:31:45] Hmm. Interesting.

[00:31:47] Because Ra and Chi Chi like Amber and Vinnie don't know where they go.

[00:31:50] And Amber and Vinnie is like, ah, yeah.

[00:31:52] If I really do wonder if Danny and Angie were in this third

[00:31:57] third or second place with them,

[00:32:00] I wonder if it would have been a team effort.

[00:32:02] But I just thought it was very convenient that like Danny and Angie aren't there.

[00:32:07] So we're running our own race.

[00:32:09] That's fair.

[00:32:10] Anyway, Ricky and Caesar find the port immediately.

[00:32:13] And they have this roadblock which says who wants to make sparks fly?

[00:32:16] So you have to weld together two pieces of metal

[00:32:18] so that they stay together for these two hammer hits.

[00:32:22] Frankly, I think that the hammer guy was a little bit easier

[00:32:26] on some people than others. But.

[00:32:29] So, OK. I mean, to comment, dear this podcast.

[00:32:32] However, Corey, I am very critical of the judges sometimes.

[00:32:37] And mind you, I think some of me being critical,

[00:32:40] I feel like you've benefited from it just with the pots on your head,

[00:32:45] because I don't know if you I don't know if you ever got it, Corey.

[00:32:50] But it's with love.

[00:32:52] He's not still there.

[00:32:53] I feel like that him.

[00:32:56] I felt like the hammer guy was going so hard every time.

[00:33:02] I was so nervous.

[00:33:03] I really felt like he was fair across the board.

[00:33:06] He was.

[00:33:07] Oh, oh, oh.

[00:34:45] High five casino.

[00:34:48] Yeah, OK.

[00:34:49] I agree. I think there's also, you know, I'm no welder.

[00:34:53] I don't have a lot of experience,

[00:34:55] but I wonder how much of a difference it makes, how hard you're swinging a hammer.

[00:35:00] So I feel like a hammer at most any speed is going to do some serious damage.

[00:35:06] And so I feel like if you do a good weld, it can withstand most.

[00:35:10] I feel like for some he was like, and for some he was like,

[00:35:15] I, I there is a little part of me that thinks that the producers were like,

[00:35:21] oh, everyone's here at the same time.

[00:35:22] Maybe this is an opportunity to shake up the order a little bit.

[00:35:26] And not that who got Rod Rod and Shane, maybe who got out of there first?

[00:35:32] The not that whoever got out of there first didn't do a good job.

[00:35:37] Oh, Vinny, you're right, Vinny.

[00:35:39] And also Rod got on his first try.

[00:35:41] Not that they didn't do great.

[00:35:43] But there is something to be said for the opportunity

[00:35:47] to like push Ricky and Sacer back a little bit or, you know,

[00:35:52] push Juan and Shane back a little bit.

[00:35:54] If that's a thing that they had the opportunity to do and they did.

[00:35:58] I'm not saying it definitely happened.

[00:36:01] But I'm saying I think it happened.

[00:36:03] I just don't know how easy that is to achieve in front of people.

[00:36:09] I don't if you were going to do that,

[00:36:11] you don't want it done in front of the other teams.

[00:36:13] So I think it would be pretty obvious if a producer kind of walks over

[00:36:16] to the judge and like, hey, you know, I personally I never saw that on our race.

[00:36:21] But I do know that there's typically the first few tries on any roadblock.

[00:36:26] They're going to be the strictest.

[00:36:28] And that's when it comes, you know, either extra attention

[00:36:32] to detail or self-awareness, if it's a performance task,

[00:36:36] which we'll get to that in a minute.

[00:36:38] Sell it, sell it, be very composed,

[00:36:42] be very confident with this one.

[00:36:43] I think that's tougher because it felt very much like a check the box.

[00:36:48] Like you have to do it correctly in order for it to survive.

[00:36:52] I think you're totally right that there is some level of like

[00:36:55] the judge has to meet a certain standard at the beginning

[00:36:59] to make sure that they kind of bunch people and then

[00:37:03] get a little easier because there's going to be people that struggle.

[00:37:07] One of my favorite parts was when Ricky and I believe it was

[00:37:12] was it was it one that Shane and Shane's like,

[00:37:17] has Caesar ever welded before Ricky's?

[00:37:22] Actually, yes.

[00:37:23] And they're like, what hasn't this man done?

[00:37:27] I was good.

[00:37:28] I was thinking that in my mind, too.

[00:37:31] I was like, I don't know what Ricky and Sazer haven't done at this point.

[00:37:34] Every single time they're like, oh, that's crazy.

[00:37:37] I did this or my father was so and so.

[00:37:40] And it's just like, when when is that going to end?

[00:37:43] Will it? I don't know.

[00:37:45] In all fairness, he's like, I welded in high school

[00:37:48] to make my dad happy like one time, and he just happens to be good at everything.

[00:37:52] But OK, so the funniest part, I think about Sazer was like he was like,

[00:37:57] she was like, I'm trying to rush along the demonstration

[00:37:59] because I don't I just want to get in and out of here.

[00:38:01] He's like, I don't want to watch it anymore.

[00:38:03] But I think that's pretty funny.

[00:38:06] Also, I'm gripe.

[00:38:08] Sorry, I'm throwing things.

[00:38:12] They each had like an instructor right next to them, teaching them how to do it.

[00:38:17] Like step by step.

[00:38:18] It wasn't like watch this from the beginning.

[00:38:20] It was when you get there, you get your own personal person

[00:38:23] to basically do it for you and show you everything.

[00:38:26] And that really bothered me.

[00:38:28] See, you guys actually ran the race for me as a viewer.

[00:38:32] What that tells me is that it's actually more difficult than we think.

[00:38:35] And for me, it makes me feel like it's not just

[00:38:39] like for me, it tells me that a lot of people were having difficulties

[00:38:42] and that you needed someone there.

[00:38:45] But also you are dealing with.

[00:38:47] The welding, that's why I think somebody is there for safety reasons.

[00:38:52] I think it was if you're using like an open flame or a sparkler,

[00:38:56] a sunny college is like this, like very, very low budget welding.

[00:39:00] But if you're using that, I think that's why they had somebody

[00:39:03] standing next to them.

[00:39:04] But I don't I don't love that they have like a tutor.

[00:39:06] I wish that there had been one demonstration

[00:39:08] and still a safety person next to them.

[00:39:10] I just. I like we have to wait to see it from the beginning.

[00:39:15] Or I like when the person is literally like on repeat,

[00:39:20] doesn't stop and just like, you know, and then where you get in

[00:39:23] is where you fit in.

[00:39:24] However, I do really honestly feel the quarry like after watching this

[00:39:28] challenge and seeing how meticulous it was and seeing that like

[00:39:31] the guy was really laying down the hammer.

[00:39:34] It does lend me to believe that Anthony and Bailey,

[00:39:39] they really would have had a shot at this because they

[00:39:44] I really do believe that the twins

[00:39:48] would have seen the pattern of how to like go around it really slow.

[00:39:54] I really do feel like their attention to detail would have

[00:39:58] this would have absolutely been their challenge.

[00:40:02] Just have you been drinking?

[00:40:04] Are you certain? Are you kidding?

[00:40:07] No, please, Corey, you go because I tell him he's crazy

[00:40:10] every time he mentions Anthony and Bailey. So please.

[00:40:13] I was going to say, are you certain they wouldn't have tried to switch tasks?

[00:40:18] And that's why that person was there would not allow them

[00:40:22] to switch tasks, which is why I feel like this would have been their task.

[00:40:27] The Welter guy would have been like, no, you got to stay.

[00:40:29] You got to stay.

[00:40:31] They would have been looking at the flame, being like, oh, sparkly.

[00:40:34] Like, come on.

[00:40:35] I'm telling you, I'm telling you, they would have had it on the first try.

[00:40:40] OK, anyway, totally.

[00:40:43] So group three is leaving at this point.

[00:40:45] How cute is Angie where she's all Danny, you're a stud.

[00:40:47] I think it's so funny that she calls her son a stud.

[00:40:50] And he has a map and then Sonny and busy's goal

[00:40:53] is to get first place because they need a vacation.

[00:40:56] And Sonny's like, I miss my kids and busy's like.

[00:40:58] OK, and then Yvonne and Melissa thrive under pressure.

[00:41:03] And this is like their pre baby whatever baby boot camp.

[00:41:07] And I really like them.

[00:41:08] I'm really and Sonny and busy are so great.

[00:41:11] I feel like I should put these back on in homage to busy.

[00:41:14] And I will. I do feel like after the iced out episode,

[00:41:20] I do love the Yvonne and Melissa that are showing up this episode.

[00:41:25] For some reason, in my opinion, they're a little bit

[00:41:27] more ferocious.

[00:41:28] They're a little more like their head is in the game.

[00:41:30] And so for me, although a lot of people had a lot to say about the ice out,

[00:41:33] I love that that happened to Yvonne and Melissa because it just seemed

[00:41:37] like their edit was so different this episode.

[00:41:41] And I loved it and I want to see more of them.

[00:41:43] So I'm very happy they clocked in today.

[00:41:47] I agree. And I think they're just adorable, too.

[00:41:49] I love their nicknames for each other when they're like, you got it,

[00:41:53] Evo or come on, Bobo.

[00:41:55] They're just so cute.

[00:41:56] You got it, babe.

[00:41:58] Love you, babe.

[00:41:59] Whatever, babe.

[00:42:01] Can't stand when people are all like, I love you, babe.

[00:42:03] Great. What does that have to do with me doing well on this?

[00:42:05] Well, I like them.

[00:42:07] One thing I'm curious, y'all thoughts on what do you think about

[00:42:09] the fact that when they got into their cars, there were conveniently

[00:42:12] maps already in them for their.

[00:42:14] So it used to be a thing, right?

[00:42:20] Where like you had to purchase a map.

[00:42:23] And it seemed like and I maybe I'm spicing this,

[00:42:27] but it seemed like where they had to go was already identified

[00:42:32] on the map because I again, I had a little bit of time on the airplane.

[00:42:37] And so I could like screenshot it.

[00:42:40] And definitely with Chi Chi's, I could like there was something

[00:42:44] similar on each of them that I'm like, not they telling them

[00:42:47] where to go on the map.

[00:42:49] But I mean, I think they were able to do that.

[00:42:52] But I mean, yeah, I know you have strong thoughts, Brooke.

[00:42:59] So feel free to hop in.

[00:43:01] It's like honestly, just get a chauffeur to take you where you're going.

[00:43:04] Like it's it's you get a map, you get just put GPS in the car.

[00:43:09] Self-driving automobiles.

[00:43:10] I don't know. It's I it's just.

[00:43:15] It's not the contestants fault.

[00:43:17] It's not the I just had to keep repeating.

[00:43:19] It's not their fault because I really love the contestants.

[00:43:21] It's not their fault.

[00:43:23] And had when we gotten in the cars that were on the wrong side.

[00:43:26] No, sorry, not wrong.

[00:43:27] Other side of the road, stick shift cars with no map and no knowledge

[00:43:32] of where we were going ever at any time.

[00:43:35] Like would I have been very, very happy to have a map with a star

[00:43:38] that says you are here and you are going here?

[00:43:40] Yes, that would have been excellent.

[00:43:42] And I have no ill will or animosity toward the contestants.

[00:43:46] And I very much will enjoy when the race goes back to.

[00:43:51] People having to run around and find their way because Covid is over

[00:43:54] and it goes back to the way it used to be.

[00:43:57] I think this all these teams should get to run it again in a regular season.

[00:44:02] Yeah, fair.

[00:44:03] I think it is interesting too, because I think there's some level of

[00:44:09] it's really hard to find a map nowadays.

[00:44:12] I don't know if you've ever tried, but on our season,

[00:44:15] there were legs where you didn't need a map because it was

[00:44:20] this is the location you're going to.

[00:44:22] You can stop and ask anyone for Google Maps directions.

[00:44:25] But every once in a while, my dad and I would pull over

[00:44:28] at like a hotel and we'd ask for a map or like we'd go somewhere

[00:44:30] to try and get a map.

[00:44:31] And so many people would look at us crazy like a map.

[00:44:35] What do you mean?

[00:44:36] So I think there's some level of if you're dropped in.

[00:44:39] That would you speak?

[00:44:41] Yeah, so I think there's some level of if you're in a weird remote location,

[00:44:46] it is going to be harder to get directions.

[00:44:48] It's not interesting to see who's going to get lucky and find someone

[00:44:52] to give him directions as opposed to it is interesting to see

[00:44:54] who's good at reading a map.

[00:44:58] Danny and only Danny.

[00:45:01] Yeah, but also Saser.

[00:45:04] Saser was also Saser and Ricky were very cute this episode

[00:45:07] where Saser's all Ricky, you're more comfortable with me leading you

[00:45:10] because Ricky's like me. He's a control free.

[00:45:12] He likes to know everything that's going on at all times.

[00:45:14] And he's really doing a great job of relying on Saser.

[00:45:18] Cut to Vinnie and Amber, who are poor Ambers in the back.

[00:45:22] She's like, I don't know how to write a map and read a map.

[00:45:24] And I don't know how to drive stick shift now.

[00:45:27] So I'm going to be a little harder than anyone.

[00:45:28] If you know you're going on the amazing race,

[00:45:30] take a few lessons on how to drive stick shift,

[00:45:32] because if you go to a roadblock and the roadblock is drive stick shift,

[00:45:36] you're going to be out.

[00:45:37] And so I don't think I don't know how to drive stick shift

[00:45:41] is a valid answer for anyone ever,

[00:45:43] because I too went to the driving school in New York City,

[00:45:46] as have several people who've been on the amazing race

[00:45:49] and learned on the FDR drive how to drive stick shift.

[00:45:52] It was terrifying, but I could do it.

[00:45:55] And these cars that they're driving are stick shift, correct?

[00:45:59] OK, well, this one was, yeah, because they don't really.

[00:46:02] I like the emphasis on it when we know,

[00:46:05] but it was just a little interesting and a little bit about Amber and Vinny.

[00:46:10] Right. Like I feel like just communication styles, right?

[00:46:16] Like because it's like when you watch them and you like,

[00:46:20] if you just want to close your eyes and listen to what they're saying,

[00:46:22] like, I don't think that what Amber is saying is wrong.

[00:46:26] And I don't think if you listen to what Vinny is saying,

[00:46:30] take maybe tone out, like, you know, he's not like he's like,

[00:46:34] you know, help the team. We want you.

[00:46:35] But it's like. Wrong time, wrong place.

[00:46:39] Like, you know what I mean?

[00:46:40] It's like when I'm at a 10, you telling me to calm down

[00:46:43] is not going to make me calm down, you know what I mean?

[00:46:45] So it's just like, I just I see the

[00:46:49] there's nobody in the history of calming down has ever calmed down

[00:46:52] and being told to calm down.

[00:46:54] That is not a thing that anyone ever wants to hear.

[00:46:58] I will say that with Vinny and Amber,

[00:47:02] she was like, let's just drop this for now.

[00:47:04] And which is probably the smart thing to have said.

[00:47:07] He's like, good. Yes, let's just drop it for now.

[00:47:09] But then he had like one little extra little jab right after that.

[00:47:12] And I was like, oh, just everybody just stop.

[00:47:14] Like, just because sometimes people can't help themselves. But

[00:47:18] I think you both make a really, really good point that there's going to be

[00:47:22] every week like he did.

[00:47:24] Everything we say is a good point.

[00:47:26] I love you. I think you're amazing. OK, great.

[00:47:28] Tell us how else we're smart.

[00:47:30] So I think there is absolutely context.

[00:47:34] We don't see I'm sure that, you know, editing magic is real.

[00:47:38] We've all experienced it.

[00:47:39] There's things that we said that were taken out of context on TV.

[00:47:42] And you're like, that's not what I meant.

[00:47:44] Like, that is such a big part of reality TV making things entertaining.

[00:47:49] However, I think there were some things that they said that, like,

[00:47:53] I just can't fathom speaking to someone like that.

[00:47:56] Like, it just doesn't make sense to me in a productive team environment

[00:48:01] to when someone says, you know, for example,

[00:48:04] I don't have any idea to respond.

[00:48:06] I know you don't. I'm out.

[00:48:09] I'm so out on that.

[00:48:11] Like that hurt me to my core where like

[00:48:15] I just don't think that's a productive communication style

[00:48:17] that's going to hurt your race.

[00:48:20] I just don't see any benefit from that from either side.

[00:48:24] I think it's really harsh to say some of the things

[00:48:27] that are being said about them online.

[00:48:29] They're catching up.

[00:48:30] Horrible. Everybody online needs to back off.

[00:48:33] Like, you don't know.

[00:48:34] Although I will say if you had Derek and Shalisa and Derek was like,

[00:48:38] I don't have any idea.

[00:48:39] And Shalisa is like, I know you don't.

[00:48:40] Like, I don't think I think you could have the exact same words

[00:48:43] said by a different team with a different relationship.

[00:48:45] And it would come across as hilarious because that's just the relationship

[00:48:48] they have. I think as it was happening with Vinny and Amber

[00:48:52] and with the tension that was going on, I agree with you completely like that.

[00:48:57] I just said I don't have any idea.

[00:48:58] You now agreeing and telling me like that I'm dumb, like that's not helpful.

[00:49:02] Like that's just not good.

[00:49:04] Shalisa would have been like, of course, you have no idea.

[00:49:06] Dingbat. And we all would have laughed our booties off.

[00:49:09] But I think the people online are mean.

[00:49:11] Everyone online needs to just relax and calm down.

[00:49:14] It's a TV show.

[00:49:16] And these are real people with real feelings.

[00:49:18] So back off, Facebook.

[00:49:19] OK, see, that's my thing for the day.

[00:49:21] And it's like imagine all of the the keyboard gangsters,

[00:49:25] like put yourself in a high stress situation where you haven't really been

[00:49:29] sleeping, you're not eating, you're dehydrated and someone pushes your buttons.

[00:49:33] Like, how would you react?

[00:49:34] Like, you know, so it's a little grace.

[00:49:36] And to say that we see their communication style and all that they're dealing with,

[00:49:41] I mean, and to see where they place

[00:49:45] that speaks for itself as well.

[00:49:46] Like they are doing something right.

[00:49:49] And so I just, you know, I'm hoping for better days for Amber and Vinny.

[00:49:53] All right. I'm going to jump through it.

[00:49:54] So Ron is psyched to all he does great.

[00:49:57] Vinny does great.

[00:49:59] Shane, Shane freaks out when he thinks he gets it,

[00:50:02] but then it breaks on the second to his second try.

[00:50:04] You've on a Melissa are lost, sunny and busy.

[00:50:08] Are very lost.

[00:50:10] Danny finds the roadblock. No problem.

[00:50:12] He made a Skittle sorting robot in college.

[00:50:15] He's so cute.

[00:50:17] So Vinny's out first. Rod is out second.

[00:50:19] I'm loving the shake up of the order in this episode.

[00:50:21] That makes me so, so happy.

[00:50:23] And, um, Sacer tries again.

[00:50:27] His things break. We're learning Sacer is actually somewhat human,

[00:50:30] like just a teeny, teeny little bit human.

[00:50:32] But then he gets it on his third try there and third.

[00:50:35] Shane gets it on his fourth try there and fourth.

[00:50:37] And then Yvonne and Melissa and sunny and busy are entering as the top teams are

[00:50:43] leaving Sunny Wells because she's a firefighter.

[00:50:47] And she's actually so sweet because Yvonne is all do you have any tips for me?

[00:50:50] And she's like, go slow and steady, which sounds like it's not actually a real tip.

[00:50:54] It actually is a real tip because you need to do this very slowly or like the bonds

[00:50:58] are not going to happen.

[00:51:00] Danny's breaks a couple of times, but his mom keeps calling him a stud because he

[00:51:03] is. And that's that challenge.

[00:51:06] I feel like that was fast and 30 seconds.

[00:51:09] How did he break?

[00:51:10] I think you did great. I what is it like when you are just getting to a

[00:51:17] roadblock and you see teams leaving?

[00:51:19] Like for me, that like the way my stomach would drop, like when busy and sunny were

[00:51:24] like pulling in and they're like, that's that's Ricky and Caesar.

[00:51:26] Like I feel like that is such a I guess it could be a morale booster or for me,

[00:51:32] I feel like it could be a morale killer because if you've been not seeing anyone

[00:51:36] for a while and you see that someone's just leaving but also you guys, what do

[00:51:41] you think?

[00:51:44] I don't know that it happened to us, honestly.

[00:51:47] No, I'm actually looking because I'm looking at my wall because I have all

[00:51:49] the pit stops here.

[00:51:50] We have a tendency to sort of arrive.

[00:51:53] I might be missing something, but like arrive sort of at the same time a lot of

[00:51:57] the time.

[00:51:58] Tell me you're a winner, Corey, without telling me you're a winner.

[00:52:01] No, we never saw anybody.

[00:52:04] No, no, no, no.

[00:52:05] We were seeing them.

[00:52:06] No, we saw them all the time.

[00:52:09] No, we arrived at a metal shop at the same time as every team except one.

[00:52:13] Am I a winner? I was there hours beyond everybody else.

[00:52:16] We were the last team waiting there.

[00:52:18] Thank God somebody missed the ferry or we would have been out.

[00:52:21] I'm just saying, like, I don't remember a time where we got to because there were

[00:52:24] many more bunch points like on a season like ours, you're getting off an airplane

[00:52:29] and you were running places.

[00:52:30] So you were all sort of starting around the same time unless you were not

[00:52:34] leaving that country.

[00:52:35] And so.

[00:52:38] It happened in Greece.

[00:52:40] It is it is a morale boost when you get somewhere and you see teams that

[00:52:43] were in front of you still there and you go, oh, maybe this is something I

[00:52:45] can do quickly.

[00:52:46] I find it always, always reassuring when you see another team.

[00:52:50] The worst feeling is not knowing where anybody else is.

[00:52:53] Yeah, I think that is a really good point.

[00:52:57] Similarly, my dad and I didn't have a ton of times where we were getting

[00:53:01] places and people were leaving.

[00:53:02] We were usually towards the front of the pack.

[00:53:04] And if anything like it was sort of a, you know, the best of accounting

[00:53:09] methods first in first out, we're just following process.

[00:53:13] But I think the one thing that was really interesting to me that stood out

[00:53:17] in this segment was Ricky and Cesar's ability to stay cool under pressure

[00:53:22] and knowing they were dropping spots, still keep their process, not panic

[00:53:27] and catch up.

[00:53:29] Because I think that's something a lot of teams really struggle with is

[00:53:32] getting down and demoralized when you're losing placements because

[00:53:35] you're struggling with the task.

[00:53:37] And that's something that I think can be a race killer.

[00:53:41] Oh, great.

[00:53:41] I wonder if Ricky was doing this task instead of Cesar, if it would have been

[00:53:45] a little more pressure filled because I don't know that Cesar has

[00:53:54] like a stress button.

[00:53:55] I feel like she's just very cool, calm and collected.

[00:53:58] But I don't know.

[00:54:00] I think the two of them are working really great together.

[00:54:01] So anyway, they have to go find this plaza and they have to go

[00:54:04] do the detours.

[00:54:06] What?

[00:54:06] OK.

[00:54:08] When you think of a plaza, Corey, what are some identifying features

[00:54:14] of a plaza that you would look for?

[00:54:16] Big open space, walkable.

[00:54:18] That's kind of what I'm looking for.

[00:54:20] And the one thing that was really interesting to me is Sonny and Bizzy

[00:54:25] going it just says a plaza doesn't say what plaza there has never,

[00:54:29] ever, ever in my mind been a point in the amazing race where they don't

[00:54:34] very explicitly tell you which exact location to go to.

[00:54:37] It is never.

[00:54:39] I mean, everybody else saw the day with a plaza.

[00:54:41] I felt for them so much, but they're so entertaining and they are just

[00:54:46] like the epitome of a team that God, it just wasn't going well for them.

[00:54:50] And they just didn't.

[00:54:51] Sonny was a little bit annoyed, but like they're just such positive,

[00:54:56] like wonderful, wonderful people, like smiley, just great people that it

[00:55:01] just made me like warmed my heart that they weren't getting down

[00:55:04] on each other.

[00:55:05] I really wanted them to stay, but I don't know who I wanted to leave.

[00:55:08] So Vinny and Amber find this plaza and we have to do the detour and the

[00:55:11] detour is camp, candombe or whatever.

[00:55:15] Learn this drum routine, which by the way, just like, come on, come on.

[00:55:22] I feel like it is a case of where it's the edit because for the,

[00:55:28] when they had to get the money in the park, I felt like, well,

[00:55:32] you have got to do a boom, boom.

[00:55:33] But I did watch Danny and mama Angie's recap of it.

[00:55:38] And they did say that you did have to like perform the routine in front

[00:55:42] of the person before they will let you go.

[00:55:45] So, I mean, I'm just saying like, what was the routine?

[00:55:48] Bong, bong, bong, bong, bong, bong, bong, bong, bong, bong, bong,

[00:55:52] so five things.

[00:55:55] And you have like, like Corey said, you had to perform it as well.

[00:55:58] So it's not just bong, bong, bong, bong, bong.

[00:56:01] But I'm just saying random fashion.

[00:56:05] Not hard on the race.

[00:56:06] It's not the racers fault.

[00:56:07] I just feel like it's like, boop, boop, boop, boop, boop, boop.

[00:56:10] Like make it harder.

[00:56:11] Well, I mean, I think it was a little harder.

[00:56:15] Also, real quick back to Amber and Vinny when they left the welding

[00:56:20] place, I thought of you, Brooke, let's something positive.

[00:56:24] Amber and Vinny, did you see the dog?

[00:56:28] That was there, Brooke.

[00:56:30] That's dog number like 11 on the season of the race that I would have had

[00:56:34] follow us and taken.

[00:56:35] I would just have like a pen outside rescuing dogs from.

[00:56:39] Also, that was editing magic hats off to whoever their camera person was.

[00:56:44] Beautiful to get that shot because the way that they use that when like

[00:56:48] they're arguing, he takes the pen and then it cuts to the dog

[00:56:51] and the dog like wimpers.

[00:56:53] I was like, oh, my God, that's beautiful filmmaking.

[00:56:57] Yeah, the camera people on this on this show are really fantastic and

[00:57:02] ridiculously athletic to have to run backwards half the time with they have you.

[00:57:08] I'm sure they have you do it, Corey, too, where they have you carry

[00:57:10] the camera person's equipment for just 30 seconds like during the maybe

[00:57:15] they didn't because during our casting week, they made us pick up the camera

[00:57:18] just so we had a appreciation of what the camera and sound people go through.

[00:57:22] And sound is like, I think worse.

[00:57:24] They're carrying all the and all the extra batteries and all the stuff

[00:57:27] and just the athleticism of these people and just and they're so good

[00:57:32] at at like navigating the shots.

[00:57:35] And if I tried to do it, the camera would be on the ground in 10 seconds.

[00:57:38] I don't understand how they have these abilities.

[00:57:40] It's really crazy.

[00:57:41] So the other side of the detour is Merga, which if there is any task,

[00:57:46] we always talk about that if you stay long enough, there's going to be a task for you.

[00:57:51] This was my jam.

[00:57:52] This was it. How fun was this?

[00:57:55] And this was Ricky's jam.

[00:57:57] I have not smiled during an episode this season as much as I smiled

[00:58:02] for maybe the 15 minutes that Ricky and Saser were doing this detour

[00:58:08] from them being so excited about the colorful costumes and just Ricky,

[00:58:14] who, Bryce, you know, was a musical theater person, as was I,

[00:58:18] as was Kishore, as was Greg from your season,

[00:58:21] was an acapella singer in college.

[00:58:23] We all went karaoke a couple of weeks ago after watching an episode of the show.

[00:58:28] Ricky got up there and he sang out.

[00:58:32] It was wild.

[00:58:33] So I knew when he was about to do this, I was like, oh, this is going to be so good.

[00:58:37] This was just the I just had so much fun watching this.

[00:58:43] The funny part, though, is Corey, did you did you have

[00:58:48] you did have full costumes, right?

[00:58:49] Because you had to do the the pots on your head thing and whatnot.

[00:58:52] They make you give all of your measurements, like all of your measurements,

[00:58:56] like everything before you go on the race for costumes.

[00:59:01] In Venice, they gave us shirts and pants.

[00:59:04] I don't know what I had, like 40 inch waist pants that they gave me.

[00:59:07] So you see me the whole rest of the episode, like pulling my pants up

[00:59:10] and trying to stop them from falling down.

[00:59:12] I feel like in this instance or earlier in the episode

[00:59:15] where Shane had to put on those boots,

[00:59:17] he's like, these boots don't fit me.

[00:59:18] I feel like they messed with him a little bit with his shoe size.

[00:59:21] So but these costumes were I would have kept this if I could have.

[00:59:26] This was herein lies my second favorite moment in the entire episode.

[00:59:31] And that is I wrote it down here.

[00:59:34] Ricky twirling his outfit at the detour.

[00:59:38] He just had fun when when he when they fail the first time

[00:59:42] and their feedback is dancing, he goes dancing, dancing.

[00:59:48] I can dance.

[00:59:49] I was like, dang right. You can dance. Let's go.

[00:59:52] And they literally shook the stage.

[00:59:55] They were just it was pure joy.

[00:59:59] Like you could tell it was just the moment he'd been waiting for.

[01:00:03] And he's like performance.

[01:00:05] I'll give you performance.

[01:00:07] When Ricky kicked that leg up in the air, I said

[01:00:11] he was just like high kicking up here like craziness.

[01:00:15] They were so fun.

[01:00:17] I want more of that.

[01:00:19] I adore them.

[01:00:20] Ricky and says are unbelievable.

[01:00:22] And I think that was a moment they really shine.

[01:00:25] And you see, I think the importance pro tip to future racers.

[01:00:31] I know we don't do a ton of like, here's what you need to do

[01:00:33] if you're on the amazing race.

[01:00:34] Oh, no, no, no.

[01:00:37] The performance like, yes, it's about memorization.

[01:00:41] But the big thing is these people are cutting you slack

[01:00:44] because you're not a pro.

[01:00:46] When you go in to do these, you're not going to be perfect.

[01:00:49] If you can sell your performance with enthusiasm,

[01:00:52] you have a smile on your face and you just own the stage.

[01:00:55] They're going to miss your little mistakes

[01:00:57] and they're going to cut you slack.

[01:00:58] And so that third time that Ricky and says are do it.

[01:01:01] The reason they pass them is because they're so enthusiastic about it.

[01:01:05] They have no choice but to say, yes, I had fun.

[01:01:09] Here is my one gripe of this portion of it, though. Right.

[01:01:14] But it's not even really a gripe.

[01:01:15] It's something that you said in the beginning, Corey, again,

[01:01:18] about selling your performance.

[01:01:20] I really do believe because Ricky and says are were the first

[01:01:24] because honestly, their first performance was still so good.

[01:01:29] Ricky was selling it in it. Right.

[01:01:30] Like, and I feel like because of the show and like

[01:01:35] they don't want to like just pass them.

[01:01:36] But honestly, I really feel like their first performance was passable.

[01:01:39] But for the show and in the beginning, the judges are a lot harder

[01:01:43] because I'm like, they're killing it.

[01:01:47] But that's my only gripe,

[01:01:48] because I really feel like they should have passed on the first.

[01:01:50] But I'm glad that we got three times because we would have not

[01:01:53] have got that epic performance that we got at the end.

[01:01:58] And yeah, I loved it. Now, Corey, you out there.

[01:02:03] Are you doing this challenge or are you doing the other one?

[01:02:07] This one's tough because in a world in which my dad and I are racing,

[01:02:13] I don't think either of these challenges exist.

[01:02:15] I think that the producers have to change these challenges

[01:02:19] because they are a disadvantage to a deaf contestant.

[01:02:22] So I don't think either of these would exist with my dad and I racing.

[01:02:26] However, taking my dad out of the question,

[01:02:29] if it's me and someone else on this season,

[01:02:33] I think I'm going with the performance because I think with a,

[01:02:38] you know, singing, dancing,

[01:02:41] they're not going to judge you on how good or bad of a singer you are.

[01:02:44] And mind you, I'm horrible, terrible voice,

[01:02:47] but I can't really keep a beat.

[01:02:49] And I think that's going to get a little more technical.

[01:02:52] Whereas you can sell a performance. You own the stage. You move on.

[01:02:57] And you can dance.

[01:02:58] We've seen you flail your feet and do your flippity floppity Irish.

[01:03:04] So a tip for the racers, Corey, because you give such good tips.

[01:03:08] Could you potentially give us five seconds of selling a performance

[01:03:13] just as a chip or any eraser that's watching this episode?

[01:03:17] Just, you know, five seconds of you just selling a performance.

[01:03:20] What does that look like?

[01:03:22] The biggest thing is the smile.

[01:03:24] And you just got to like you just own the stage.

[01:03:30] Be confident. Run it. Have fun with it.

[01:03:33] Have I actually I was going to give them a no

[01:03:38] first try.

[01:03:39] Oh, so tips to future racers.

[01:03:41] Make sure you keep a little something in the tank for your second try,

[01:03:44] because if you're at the front of the pack

[01:03:46] and they're going to give you the no for the first try,

[01:03:50] you need to be prepared to be able to sell it slightly more on the second one.

[01:03:54] I am shocked they made Ricky and Sakes or do it three times.

[01:03:57] They must have been so far ahead

[01:03:59] and they started passing everybody on the drums on the first try,

[01:04:02] which was really annoying to me.

[01:04:05] Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

[01:04:07] Disagree.

[01:04:08] Angie and Danny's performance on the drums.

[01:04:14] Did you see my girl?

[01:04:15] She said, OK, Angie was rocking.

[01:04:19] She was good.

[01:04:20] She was not saying she didn't deserve to be passed on the first time.

[01:04:23] OK, fine. Fair enough.

[01:04:25] But but you have Ronald Leticia who are like, I can't hear me.

[01:04:30] I can't. OK.

[01:04:34] No, but they did.

[01:04:35] They gave it to Sonny and Bizzy on the first try.

[01:04:37] They gave it to Rod and Leticia like on the first try.

[01:04:39] Vinnie and Amber got on the second try, even though she's like,

[01:04:42] I literally can't keep a beat to save my life.

[01:04:44] Like they they gave it to one and Shane, I think on the second try.

[01:04:49] Although I will kudos to one because he took the harder

[01:04:53] the two drum beats because the other one was just like,

[01:04:56] but he took the harder one.

[01:04:57] And you could tell he could feel it like in his bones.

[01:05:01] He was not in a good place physically,

[01:05:04] but she had no point was like, I can't do it.

[01:05:07] I got to stop. I got to sit down.

[01:05:09] He's got drive. And so I really, really I know they're in the back right now,

[01:05:13] but I don't think it's going to stay that way.

[01:05:15] And once he feels better,

[01:05:18] I think they're really just a force to be reckoned with.

[01:05:21] I also want to take a quick second

[01:05:24] to shout out one of my favorite moments in the entire episode

[01:05:28] was Danny and Angie getting to the roadblock,

[01:05:32] noticing they passed two teams and it clips to Danny going directionally

[01:05:37] Yeah, I died.

[01:05:41] He was just like he said directionally didn't know where to go with it.

[01:05:45] And he was just like, I'm so happy.

[01:05:47] His enthusiasm unmatched my favorite team.

[01:05:50] They are just ecstatic and just such good TV.

[01:05:56] I underestimated them.

[01:05:57] I will be the first to say, well, Bryce, you had me do this

[01:06:00] cast assessment with absolutely no information whatsoever,

[01:06:03] except names, ages and occupations.

[01:06:06] And and I was wrong.

[01:06:11] You heard it your first one hour, one second.

[01:06:13] Brooke was wrong.

[01:06:15] But based upon just like background information, you can ding me.

[01:06:19] Keep digging me that based on background information, you know,

[01:06:23] when you have a team that is parent and child present company excluded,

[01:06:29] they usually are not a final three team.

[01:06:33] I defy you to find me another parent child team

[01:06:38] that was a final three team.

[01:06:41] It doesn't normally happen.

[01:06:42] And now I think we have another one here.

[01:06:44] Brooke and I did a cast assessment.

[01:06:47] We saw the same image.

[01:06:50] Brooke rated them low.

[01:06:52] I rated them extremely high.

[01:06:54] And I'm just saying, I'm just saying Danny and Angie, they are.

[01:07:01] I don't know if it's the parent dynamic.

[01:07:02] I don't know if it's the age difference.

[01:07:05] I don't know if that like with your with your dad,

[01:07:09] like I could like I was I would want your dad to be my dad.

[01:07:13] Right. Like or with me, Andy, where it's like

[01:07:17] anything for your child that reminds me of my mom.

[01:07:20] But like, I just love them for me.

[01:07:22] I know we're kind of all over the place.

[01:07:24] But I think an emotional moment for me this episode was when they

[01:07:29] realized that like we're just not like making it in the race.

[01:07:35] Like we actually can succeed in the race.

[01:07:38] And they were like talking to those professionals.

[01:07:40] I got so emotional because it's just like you all could do anything.

[01:07:42] I love this. And I want to see more of them.

[01:07:45] And so I was very, very, very happy.

[01:07:47] Also, I just want to mention Juan and Shane.

[01:07:49] I want to give Juan so much credit, too, right?

[01:07:51] Because Juan did take the harder drum beat and he was like dying.

[01:07:56] But also it's like I love team members like that because

[01:07:59] we all know we've seen Shane cut that avocado, right?

[01:08:03] Like we know Shane was never going to live down the avocado.

[01:08:07] He was not going to get that difficult beat.

[01:08:09] And Juan, even though he had the bubble guts of food poisoning

[01:08:13] and not feeling the best, he still took it for the team

[01:08:16] and took the harder one.

[01:08:17] And so like, again, I am loving Juan and Shane as well.

[01:08:20] I also really enjoyed the moment where Danny and Angie are doing

[01:08:24] the drums and get the drums and Angie's like, I see it.

[01:08:27] I see it. They're going to give us the clue.

[01:08:28] And they gave it to him.

[01:08:29] And then you see Ricky and Sacer run right by behind them

[01:08:32] because editing can't do anything about that.

[01:08:34] Like that was actually that close.

[01:08:36] And to know that Danny and Angie made up a full half hour

[01:08:39] at that point was just it's the group starts screwing them over.

[01:08:43] But I don't know.

[01:08:45] So finally, Yvonne and Melissa are doing the singing.

[01:08:49] First of all, smart on them because they go

[01:08:51] everyone else is going to do the drums.

[01:08:53] Let's do the other one

[01:08:54] because they want to give themselves a chance to jump.

[01:08:56] So very like strategically smart.

[01:09:00] And they know they can't really sing and whatever.

[01:09:02] But they had so much fun.

[01:09:04] I really enjoyed watching them do it, too.

[01:09:07] What did you think about them doing it?

[01:09:08] Was I the only one that thought that they picked that because they was like,

[01:09:12] we ain't going to take the possibility of them not being enough drums

[01:09:16] and so much drumming us out.

[01:09:18] So let's go away from the pack on the airplane.

[01:09:21] I like laughed at that out loud because I was like, they're not.

[01:09:25] They're like, we're not getting iced over again.

[01:09:27] We're going to do we're going to go where less of the people are going.

[01:09:30] But that just jumped into my mind when I saw it.

[01:09:34] I feel like that's a good strategy sometimes, though,

[01:09:36] because it's like if everyone is doing one thing, let them all fight it out

[01:09:39] over there, because if you have to take turns and wait to get judged,

[01:09:42] go where there's no line and there was no line with the theater.

[01:09:47] And so that's where they went, even if it wasn't going to be their strong suit.

[01:09:50] And I really applaud that for them.

[01:09:52] My only thought is, is that really what their strategy was?

[01:09:56] Or was that the hindsight bias in their post race interview saying,

[01:10:02] oh, well, we chose it.

[01:10:03] And when we got there and noticed no one else was there,

[01:10:06] we were like, perfect.

[01:10:07] We're not racing against other people because how would they have known

[01:10:10] where everyone was?

[01:10:11] I thought I heard them be like, everyone's probably going to do this.

[01:10:14] Let's do that.

[01:10:15] But maybe I miss her.

[01:10:16] It is possible that maybe it was an after the fact conversation.

[01:10:19] I thought that's what they were doing in the moment.

[01:10:21] I might very much.

[01:10:22] That is such an interesting thing to know.

[01:10:25] Right. Just like by thought, like I like I don't know.

[01:10:28] There are sometimes when you when you go to a task and you think,

[01:10:31] OK, everyone's going to want that one.

[01:10:33] Let's do that one.

[01:10:34] Like, I remember thinking that a couple of times being like,

[01:10:37] because for like there we had a task in Brazil that was

[01:10:40] that was drums and carnival and whatnot.

[01:10:43] And I'm musical.

[01:10:44] And I was like, we have to do that one because and but it was one

[01:10:47] of the ones where it's like only five teams can do this.

[01:10:50] And we were like in six.

[01:10:51] And so we had that moment of everyone's going to want to do that one.

[01:10:54] Let's go to this under an overpass gym and put together

[01:10:58] like some physical thing that like there's no reason I should have ever

[01:11:00] been doing that.

[01:11:02] But you choose based on what you think other people are going to do

[01:11:06] because you don't want to get, you know, iced out.

[01:11:09] At least that was our thought process.

[01:11:10] That's such an interesting point, Corey.

[01:11:12] Like I never thought about it.

[01:11:14] No, but I agree with what you're saying, Brooke.

[01:11:16] But like I never thought about the post interview of it.

[01:11:19] Like, actually, this wasn't a plan.

[01:11:21] But now that we know it worked out, we were always going to do this.

[01:11:24] We struggled to do it like it's almost like Q of the season of Survivor

[01:11:28] where it's like after everything crashes and burns, he's like,

[01:11:32] I meant to do that.

[01:11:34] I love that. That's a good point.

[01:11:36] I think humans have this beautiful ability to rationalize

[01:11:40] your decision after the fact, no matter what you do.

[01:11:43] Like we just in our nature can look back on say some

[01:11:46] on something and say, I'm so glad that that's what happened.

[01:11:50] And and I think, you know, there's obviously some bias to it,

[01:11:53] but it's also such a beautiful thing to be like that exactly.

[01:11:56] That was the right decision.

[01:11:59] It worked out exactly the way that I meant for it to be

[01:12:02] when I planned it exactly this way.

[01:12:05] Totally OK.

[01:12:07] So everyone's doing their thing.

[01:12:09] And is this where I don't know if this is where I think this is where

[01:12:13] maybe it's before this Vinnie and Amber?

[01:12:15] No, you know what?

[01:12:16] Do we even want to talk about they couldn't find their car.

[01:12:18] They get in a huge fight.

[01:12:19] They hate each other for five minutes or three hours.

[01:12:21] I don't know how long it is.

[01:12:22] And they bounce back.

[01:12:24] I don't know.

[01:12:25] I love the matter is that.

[01:12:29] Vinnie ain't nowhere to car was nobody knew

[01:12:32] it ever ain't nowhere to car was for me.

[01:12:34] That was the funniest thing because Vinnie was like, it's up here.

[01:12:37] It's up there.

[01:12:38] Amber's like, we didn't go up the hill.

[01:12:40] It's down here.

[01:12:40] Vinnie's like, it's not.

[01:12:42] But for me, what I loved in that moment where Vinnie's like,

[01:12:45] OK, I'll go your way.

[01:12:48] We're only going to go her way.

[01:12:50] If really that means you don't know where you're going, Vinnie.

[01:12:52] Like that for me was the funniest thing.

[01:12:54] Like you're not just going to say if I know the car is up here,

[01:12:58] I'm not going to be like, Corey, I'm going to follow you to like for me.

[01:13:03] I was cracking up because it's like Vinnie, just say

[01:13:05] you don't know where the car is, like because you're not going to willingly

[01:13:09] go the wrong way.

[01:13:11] And if it is the wrong way, why are you running up that hill so fast?

[01:13:14] Why would you run it so fast if you thought that wasn't where you wanted to go?

[01:13:17] They worked out exactly the way that he meant for a tour.

[01:13:23] One more question about the detour, do you think

[01:13:26] because I noticed Sonny and Bizzy got the drums on their first try.

[01:13:30] But Ivana Melissa had to do eight tries on the singing.

[01:13:35] They were not eight tries bad.

[01:13:37] Let's be fair. Do you think that perhaps

[01:13:40] they were not eight tries bad? Come on.

[01:13:44] They might have been like 11 tries bad, but

[01:13:48] I mean, I think no matter how good you do to live up to that Ricky performance,

[01:13:55] they're going to hold you to a higher state.

[01:13:57] Like I just had one tire is not you can't live up to that.

[01:14:00] If you're trying to compare me to Ricky, I'm still there.

[01:14:03] Like that's that's going to be tough.

[01:14:07] Next time I see Ricky, I'm so certain he remembers the song.

[01:14:09] Be like, sing it, do it.

[01:14:11] Let's do it. Make it your ringtone.

[01:14:13] I sometimes feel I kind of felt a little bit like they were holding

[01:14:16] Ivana Melissa back just to make the end a little bit closer.

[01:14:20] But but maybe they were eight times bad.

[01:14:23] I don't think so.

[01:14:23] I wonder, did Sonny and Bizzy really get it on the first try

[01:14:28] or they only show the first attempt clip it to make it look like

[01:14:32] there was some chance they could catch up?

[01:14:35] I would like to know.

[01:14:37] I always wonder and I wish they would show this more

[01:14:40] when someone gets eliminated, like the check in times as a put.

[01:14:42] They'll show they used to show you the check out time

[01:14:44] so you could know the next episode.

[01:14:46] But it's always nice to know the check in times.

[01:14:48] But anyway, they have to go run on a beach to the pit stop.

[01:14:52] Our fourth leg, we had to run on a beach for like three quarters of a mile.

[01:14:56] This was not like run 20 feet on a baby was half a mile.

[01:14:59] Nothing like running on a beach

[01:15:01] and your sneakers after doing a very physical day of just like hard labor.

[01:15:06] So they have to run to this beach.

[01:15:08] You have Ricky and Cesar who come in first,

[01:15:10] and they win a trip to Paris.

[01:15:11] And I'm jealous because it's one of the only places that I've not only

[01:15:14] one of the biggest places I have not been to and I'm dying to go to.

[01:15:19] Danny and Angie who made it here you go, Bryce.

[01:15:21] Dan, do you there you go, do your dance.

[01:15:23] Danny and Angie who make it on the mat with Ricky and Cesar.

[01:15:26] And this is maybe my favorite moment where Angie's like.

[01:15:30] We we actually got on the mat with them like we could actually do that.

[01:15:34] She could see the moment

[01:15:36] like in her brain where she's like.

[01:15:39] I was doing this for my kid and I was like,

[01:15:41] I sort of thought I'll work as hard as I can.

[01:15:43] I'll do the best that I can for as long as we can.

[01:15:45] But damn, we may actually be able to do this.

[01:15:50] Like, and so you just have that moment.

[01:15:52] I am very curious to see how they do when they start in the first group.

[01:15:57] And maybe next week is their week.

[01:15:59] In that moment.

[01:16:02] Go ahead. I'm hoping for a first place finish for them next week.

[01:16:06] One of my one of my favorite moments is the guess what, Phil?

[01:16:10] Worth threats.

[01:16:11] That quote kills me.

[01:16:13] I'm just like, yes, you are threats.

[01:16:15] You go out there and you kick some Ricky and Cesar butt next week.

[01:16:20] At that moment, Angie clocked out

[01:16:23] and Angie clocked in.

[01:16:26] And I am excited to see what Angie brings to the race.

[01:16:31] And although I love Ricky and Cesar, like I am rooting

[01:16:35] next episode for their downfall.

[01:16:38] OK, or I just want I want Angie and Danny.

[01:16:43] So that's episode I'm rooting for Ricky and Cesar's downfall.

[01:16:45] But we all know that that is not possible.

[01:16:47] I know you don't watch the previews, but I got some bad news.

[01:16:50] I mean, actually, because I was on the airplane

[01:16:54] and like my wife has a little slow, so I couldn't do anything

[01:16:58] but see the previews.

[01:16:59] And of course, I'm like, why are they trying to play with me now?

[01:17:04] I have so many questions, but I guess we'll save that for next week

[01:17:06] because I am curious.

[01:17:07] Like, how can that be your but anyway, I digress

[01:17:10] because this is all about Angie and Danny right now.

[01:17:13] Gee, but yeah.

[01:17:16] And then Rod and Letitia come in third.

[01:17:18] They're so positive.

[01:17:20] I got Rod honestly is excited to do anything.

[01:17:23] He's excited to weld. He's excited to dance.

[01:17:25] He was a break dance. He'll do whatever you want.

[01:17:27] And he's so positive about his wife, like just so supportive.

[01:17:30] I honestly, I don't think we talk enough positivity about them.

[01:17:34] Facebook, I agree, shrug off because Letitia is amazing.

[01:17:37] And then Amber and Danny through all of their fighting

[01:17:39] and all of their negativity coming forth, which not bad.

[01:17:44] Seriously, I two things I want to say Rod and Chi Chi.

[01:17:49] Right. I actually you're right.

[01:17:51] I don't think we give them enough credit.

[01:17:52] Like, I mean, obviously, Rod is easy on the eyes to look at.

[01:17:56] So is Chi Chi.

[01:17:57] But like when they are actually on their own, like

[01:18:02] they hold their own, like they they've gotten number one before.

[01:18:05] Like I there in my opinion, they're the actual team to watch for

[01:18:10] Ricky and the Stays are like, I could see in the mega leg

[01:18:13] where they could take it home.

[01:18:15] I believe we don't give enough credit to them.

[01:18:17] And Amber and Vinny, despite everything that's happening,

[01:18:20] they're another really strong team as well.

[01:18:22] I wouldn't be surprised if the final. Well, I don't know.

[01:18:25] Yeah, it's hard because I'm looking at this right now

[01:18:26] because then you've got to Melissa come in fifth,

[01:18:28] one and Shane are six.

[01:18:29] And I blame his food poisoning.

[01:18:31] But I am wonder like you usually have some idea

[01:18:34] at this point with six teams left to the final three will be like

[01:18:37] who fall by the wayside.

[01:18:40] There are like four or five of these teams where I would not be shocked

[01:18:43] if any of them make it's the final three.

[01:18:46] And I don't know.

[01:18:48] But anyway, finally, and I'm just going to.

[01:18:52] Bryce, join me.

[01:18:55] Pay homage to Sonny.

[01:18:58] And the glasses for being just the happiest eliminated team ever.

[01:19:03] They are so positive, so wonderful, so hilarious.

[01:19:07] I am going to miss them, especially busy is just

[01:19:10] she's so ridiculous in the back.

[01:19:13] Oh, in the back.

[01:19:14] I couldn't see your sunglasses while wearing these in the best way.

[01:19:18] But the next closest thing

[01:19:21] busy was like, I feel like a new person.

[01:19:24] I've grown so much like I just I need some of their positivity and hilarity.

[01:19:29] And I look forward to meeting them

[01:19:34] in a few weeks. So.

[01:19:37] Sad to see them go.

[01:19:38] Very sad to see them go.

[01:19:41] I've got I don't know if we have more that we are prioritizing right now,

[01:19:45] but I've got a couple of things that I want to pose to you all.

[01:19:49] Yeah, OK.

[01:19:51] First thing is this is less of a question.

[01:19:54] I do have a question after this, but first is I want to call out really quick

[01:19:58] that what we're witnessing is potentially amazing race history right now.

[01:20:02] Like Ricky and Cesar are on track for a historic season.

[01:20:07] They have a racing average of one point five

[01:20:11] and the greatest racing average in amazing race

[01:20:15] history of all time is I've got it pulled up here.

[01:20:18] A one point seven five.

[01:20:20] So if the season were to end after this episode, Ricky and Cesar

[01:20:23] are the best amazing race team ever by average placement.

[01:20:28] Was it one point seven five?

[01:20:30] Was it Rachel and what was his name?

[01:20:33] Her husband, Rachel and Dave? No, Rachel and Dave have the second best

[01:20:37] racing average, but was they have any winners?

[01:20:42] The team that has the best racing average ever

[01:20:44] is not a winner in their season.

[01:20:46] What? Wait, wait, wait, wait.

[01:20:48] I want to guess. Give me like an era.

[01:20:55] Like, are we early, early season number or all?

[01:20:58] It's in the first 10 seasons. OK.

[01:21:02] All right. Say your next thing, I'm going to think.

[01:21:05] Reagant and shit. Is it season four?

[01:21:08] No, it's Eric and Jeremy from season.

[01:21:13] Eric and Jeremy, they went a one point seven five

[01:21:17] and Rachel and Dave had a one point eight three.

[01:21:19] Those are the only two teams to ever have an average placement under two.

[01:21:23] Like ever. And they're not winners.

[01:21:26] One of them was one of them won.

[01:21:28] One of them did not.

[01:21:29] And the one who did not half of that team came back

[01:21:32] and he did win later on with his girlfriend, who'd already

[01:21:36] he'd already broken up with, but they ran his boyfriend and girlfriend.

[01:21:39] Yes. OK. Come on.

[01:21:42] They have one of the other better students, too.

[01:21:44] So that I just want to call it out right now.

[01:21:47] This if this holds and they keep getting only first and second,

[01:21:51] this might be the best amazing race team of all time.

[01:21:55] The best ranking amazing race team of all time

[01:21:59] with an asterisk because they only went to Spanish speaking countries.

[01:22:01] But what? No, I say get back.

[01:22:03] I love for game stays there.

[01:22:04] They can do no wrong. It's not their fault.

[01:22:06] It's not their fault.

[01:22:08] But I would like to see them come back and run.

[01:22:10] I would like to see them run a season where they can be hindered

[01:22:15] by other teams because any team in their right mind

[01:22:18] is going to you turn Ricky and Sacer, any team in their right mind

[01:22:21] is going to yield them or do whatever they especially when you have a

[01:22:25] alliance mastermind who reads the rules like Danny, who knows?

[01:22:30] Oh, we can ice these people out. We can do this.

[01:22:31] We can do that.

[01:22:32] I would be excited to watch them race still this time.

[01:22:36] But again.

[01:22:37] Yeah. OK.

[01:22:38] So my second thing I want to pose to you, let's say

[01:22:42] all three of us get invited to a all stars season

[01:22:46] of the amazing race as individuals, and they do similar

[01:22:50] to your style of amazing race, Brooke, where you draft your partner

[01:22:54] and the only people left are racers from this this season.

[01:22:58] Season 36.

[01:23:00] Who would you pick as your first pick to be your teammate? Danny.

[01:23:06] I mean, that's not a bad pick.

[01:23:07] It's not a bad pick.

[01:23:09] I'm looking for my list so I can see who's left and everybody is an option.

[01:23:14] Everyone's an option.

[01:23:15] Except Danny, because Bryce already picked Danny and I can't take him.

[01:23:18] If you want to pick Danny, pick Danny.

[01:23:21] I know I am.

[01:23:24] I'm torn between a Sacer

[01:23:27] because he's so positive and he's very good at navigation

[01:23:32] and he's fluent in Spanish.

[01:23:34] But also Rod is pretty great

[01:23:38] because he's going to hype me up even when I think I can't do things

[01:23:41] and also just throw me over fences and like

[01:23:44] will take up the physical part of it.

[01:23:46] And then also, I think maybe one,

[01:23:49] I feel like he's also a positive force and pretty good at directions

[01:23:54] and physical as well always wanting to do a physical challenge.

[01:23:58] And I think with all three of those, I have a good compliment

[01:24:01] because I'm the musical artsy whatever.

[01:24:04] And all three of them have said they are more physical.

[01:24:07] What not. So I think I will take Sacer or Rod

[01:24:13] or Ron and we know Bryce is taking Danny.

[01:24:15] And if you can't take Danny, what if Danny's not available, Angie?

[01:24:18] I well, I actually, surprisingly, I would take Vinny.

[01:24:24] I don't know that I could do it.

[01:24:26] Well, I just one I am.

[01:24:28] I like to argue, right? Like I shall be.

[01:24:32] I would take Danny, Vinny or Chi Chi.

[01:24:34] But I think Vinny and I would be really, really well work well together.

[01:24:37] I think that I do think that he is motivating.

[01:24:40] And sometimes like we will be yelling back and forth,

[01:24:43] but we will get where we need to go.

[01:24:45] So yeah, those will be my three. Who would you take? Yeah.

[01:24:49] I'm all in on Danny.

[01:24:51] Danny is my teammate.

[01:24:52] I think Danny and I would work so well together.

[01:24:55] Also, I've met Danny and I just such good energy.

[01:24:59] So good with directions.

[01:25:01] And I think the positivity and the directions are going to be massive.

[01:25:05] And then he's such a super fan that I think having a leg up on puzzles

[01:25:10] and all of the little nuances of the race is going to be crucial

[01:25:14] in late race gameplay, because I think both of us individually

[01:25:19] would do well in pretty much anything.

[01:25:22] But getting that like advantage and late gameplay is huge.

[01:25:26] Like no one. I'm Corey and I'm good at everything.

[01:25:30] But tell me you did really well in your season without telling me

[01:25:33] you did really well in your season.

[01:25:34] All right, I got a question for you all.

[01:25:35] OK, so is it me and Vinny?

[01:25:38] Brooke and Cesar and Corey and Danny, I would look

[01:25:44] OK, no, no.

[01:25:45] But the question is, who are who who are we?

[01:25:51] Well, here's the thing.

[01:25:52] Corey and I have already decided we're in an alliance.

[01:25:55] So there's that.

[01:25:56] But I've known Bryce a lot longer.

[01:25:59] So I think what we can all agree on is I'm not getting you turned.

[01:26:04] I am definitely you turning Corey and Danny without a doubt.

[01:26:09] Well, if he has Danny and he's got the directional guide,

[01:26:12] I mean, I will say that's probably the only reason I wouldn't pick Danny

[01:26:15] is because Danny and I are very similar.

[01:26:16] I feel like we're both very puzzle memory.

[01:26:19] Like I would want to be with someone where I could carry that part

[01:26:22] of the weight of the race and have somebody who would care

[01:26:25] literally do the carrying of the stuff of the race.

[01:26:28] I, as also a super fan, read the rules front and back, knew the loopholes,

[01:26:33] knew that like that's the part where I feel like I can excel.

[01:26:36] I need somebody who can knock everybody else down physically.

[01:26:40] So I really feel like that's that's the why.

[01:26:43] That being said, if I end up with Danny on a future season of the race.

[01:26:47] Fine by me.

[01:26:49] And do we think because normally Amazing Grace

[01:26:53] just does one season a year, right?

[01:26:55] They used to do two and then they about season 20 or something.

[01:26:59] But this year we got to just because the other one was just in waiting.

[01:27:03] So do we know anything about the upcoming seasons?

[01:27:06] Is it just going to be one season next year?

[01:27:08] Do we know that?

[01:27:10] So if you are following the casting producers on Instagram,

[01:27:16] you have seen that they were casting in early January, February,

[01:27:21] pulled those down in March.

[01:27:23] The Amazing Race casting team happened to all be together in person

[01:27:28] about a month ago.

[01:27:29] So my assumption is that the race is going to be filming

[01:27:35] within the next month or so.

[01:27:37] And so if that's the case, I would anticipate season 37 is coming out

[01:27:41] this fall. OK, so wait, reason number eight.

[01:27:44] Why I love Corey, right?

[01:27:48] Because you and Brooke are the same like how Brooke does her

[01:27:52] investigational journalism on the Facebook.

[01:27:55] I love the fact that Corey is out here.

[01:27:59] He came with the statistics.

[01:28:00] He came with.

[01:28:01] Well, and if you see the post from one of the producers back in January

[01:28:05] and then cryptically in March, it went away.

[01:28:10] If you compared the stories of the six of them

[01:28:13] and you looked in and saw the tree, I wonder what is.

[01:28:19] This is great.

[01:28:21] I'm that the the name from I think it's always Sonny and Billy,

[01:28:25] where he's like got the like board of everything tied together

[01:28:27] and figured out they're casting tomorrow.

[01:28:31] That's hilarious.

[01:28:32] And last year, they can't they ran the rate they shot in like June

[01:28:35] and aired in September.

[01:28:37] So my guess is it's going to be about the same.

[01:28:39] We're going to do once a year.

[01:28:40] Yeah. Oh, and then I got another hot take that I think I don't know.

[01:28:45] Here's my my prediction.

[01:28:47] Give it to us.

[01:28:48] Survivor, one of the all time greatest season seasons, 40.

[01:28:53] I mean, that war.

[01:28:55] I mean, I disagree.

[01:28:57] Let the man finish.

[01:28:58] Let the man finish.

[01:29:00] Obviously, Pagayan is like, you know, the best.

[01:29:02] You know, means best one.

[01:29:04] We're talking good job. Good job.

[01:29:05] Yeah.

[01:29:07] But what is considered online, one of the greatest seasons of all time?

[01:29:11] Forty.

[01:29:12] My prediction is that I feel like Amazing Race is going to try

[01:29:15] to do something big for season 40.

[01:29:17] So anyone who's trying to think when is a returning season coming?

[01:29:22] That's my prediction.

[01:29:23] If I could bet on it, I would.

[01:29:25] I don't know what that's going to be.

[01:29:26] I would guess some point in the next three years.

[01:29:29] My wonder is, will they do a returning winners?

[01:29:33] I don't know logistically that that's doable.

[01:29:35] But I think it's doable.

[01:29:37] It's probably doable.

[01:29:38] I think it's doable. We've run the numbers.

[01:29:40] There are enough winners who are not divorced and who are still alive

[01:29:45] and who would still do it.

[01:29:47] That's the thing that can happen.

[01:29:49] Let's I'm going to have to get myself engaged.

[01:29:52] Totally unbiased here.

[01:29:53] I think that what they should do is just finalists,

[01:29:56] finalists, like teams that got to their finale come back.

[01:30:00] Like third place unfair.

[01:30:02] Yeah. Got it.

[01:30:03] Yeah.

[01:30:04] So I love all those.

[01:30:06] Strictly third place teams from like the 30s.

[01:30:10] Right. And my heart as well, Corey.

[01:30:12] So I love that.

[01:30:12] But I would I love something like that, like a winners at war

[01:30:16] or just bringing back again, teams that made the final.

[01:30:20] But for me, the caveat would be similar to Brooke season

[01:30:24] where it's like they're back, but they're working with different people.

[01:30:28] Like you're not working with your partner,

[01:30:30] like you're working with another winner or another somebody

[01:30:32] that came in the final three.

[01:30:33] Like I would love that.

[01:30:35] And it's like they do it a kickball schoolhouse style

[01:30:39] where y'all stand there and then you pick the team right into that.

[01:30:42] I've done that before.

[01:30:43] I could do it again.

[01:30:45] I like that.

[01:30:45] And I think that's realistic because I think I don't know if you've kept up

[01:30:49] with the numbers, amazing race seasons are starting to like

[01:30:52] dwindle a little bit in viewership.

[01:30:54] So I think some sort of twist spices things up, gets people engaged.

[01:30:58] And I feel like that makes sense.

[01:31:01] So do you think they'll ask that half of a winning team

[01:31:04] to have like one person or you think they'll have the whole team

[01:31:07] and then have them not work together?

[01:31:08] And then it's like for most teams, that's like your partner in life.

[01:31:13] Are you automatically aligned with now a team and a stranger

[01:31:16] because you're not running with your partner?

[01:31:17] And what does that do?

[01:31:18] It's it's like, I don't.

[01:31:20] Yeah, exactly. I think you make a good point.

[01:31:22] I don't know what they do with that because that's really difficult.

[01:31:25] I think that's going to be.

[01:31:25] And I say this with all of love and respect,

[01:31:27] but how do they have your dad run with somebody

[01:31:29] who's not fluent in sign language?

[01:31:31] How do they have, you know, or bring back a Luke and Margie

[01:31:34] and have Luke run with somebody who doesn't speak, then

[01:31:36] then you're not able to really communicate with your partner in certain ways.

[01:31:39] Yeah, maybe Luke.

[01:31:40] That being said, I'll run with your dad any day.

[01:31:44] I would love that.

[01:31:45] Regardless of that, Rob would still be.

[01:31:48] Even if he had someone that didn't, Rob was Rob would have

[01:31:53] to take note of life and he would kill it.

[01:31:56] Also, another question to you, Corey.

[01:32:00] The challenge, USA, they normally, you know, film in July

[01:32:06] and they are, from what I hear, not as organized

[01:32:09] as the other places.

[01:32:10] And so calls normally go out around who knows when they go out around.

[01:32:14] But similarly, it's closer to the summer.

[01:32:17] If the challenge, USA were to call you, is that something that?

[01:32:21] OK, and a heartbeat.

[01:32:22] I'm not even a question that's actually I really wanted to go on the challenge.

[01:32:29] That's one that I was like, let's go.

[01:32:32] Give me the call at, you know, the challenge, USA.

[01:32:36] Bring me on. I'm in.

[01:32:38] Let's do it.

[01:32:39] I have heard, I don't know if it's true,

[01:32:42] rumors that they're not bringing back the challenge, USA for a third season.

[01:32:47] I don't know if that's true.

[01:32:48] I know that they've invested a ton of production cost

[01:32:51] into the challenge all stars season that's airing right now

[01:32:54] and that they might be focusing on like the challenge, all stars,

[01:32:58] as opposed to the challenge, USA, with like the other CBS cast returnees.

[01:33:04] So I don't know.

[01:33:06] I'm fingers crossed that that's wrong.

[01:33:08] That's a lie. It was made up.

[01:33:10] And, you know, they are a little disorganized

[01:33:12] and they're going to be sending out calls because I think you get some amazing

[01:33:16] racers like myself, a year of me and Ali.

[01:33:20] You get some real comp threats out there.

[01:33:22] That's a pretty tough alliance to break up.

[01:33:26] You know, I get a rod out there.

[01:33:30] I love to work with Rod.

[01:33:31] That would be incredible.

[01:33:33] He's such good TV.

[01:33:35] He's really just.

[01:33:36] Oh, I'm the welding man, maybe.

[01:33:40] Why do you need daddy to weld for you?

[01:33:44] I died. I died.

[01:33:47] I just so fun.

[01:33:50] He really is.

[01:33:51] I just love how he is up on the know of everything.

[01:33:55] I'm going to have to like reach out to Corey more for just

[01:33:57] I know. You think that I'm

[01:33:59] I'm just going to call Corey and be like, give me my notes for this week.

[01:34:03] Because he's so amazing.

[01:34:04] But I like to be fair.

[01:34:05] We love it. Well, thank you, Corey.

[01:34:07] It's been such a pleasure to have you on the pit stop.

[01:34:10] It's been so fun.

[01:34:12] We hope to have you back, Brooke, as always.

[01:34:14] You're the best.

[01:34:16] We'll see you guys next week for episode eight.

[01:34:20] We're out. Thank you.

[01:34:21] Thank you for coming. This is awesome.

[01:34:23] Bye, everybody.

[01:34:41] You better get that box wine.

[01:34:43] It's the purple pants.

[01:34:44] I guess you're trying to get your snack.

[01:34:46] You better hurry right back though.

[01:34:48] It's the purple pants.
